- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Like a drug addict ready to get his dosage.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's preseason time, the season's right there.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: Redraft season is upon us.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, it's a good time to be a football fan, but more importantly, a better time to be into fantasy football.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Yo, what is going on, guys?
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: It is Natter, and this is the FF Space Podcast.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: And of course, I am alongside Nico and Tip.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Man, guys, help me out here.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: How excited are you?
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Dude, there's 28 days until the start of the NFL season.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is what we are here for.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm now this is countdown mode.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Like, people have been counting down since like day 80.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: I don't understand that.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Now is countdown time.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: We're within a calendar month.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, dude.
- 1:03SPEAKER_03: It's uh I feel like it's the fourth quarter of like getting ready for the football season.
- 1:09SPEAKER_03: It's like that two-minute warning.
- 1:11SPEAKER_03: I know, but it's like it's getting to the point where like you're getting so excited.
- 1:16SPEAKER_03: What's the red zone called?
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: I don't know why I can't think of it.
- 1:18SPEAKER_03: Like the uh the red zone segment where like the witching hour where it's like we're getting like yeah, where it's like it's getting to the point where like a lot of the action's coming and with all the training camp news and stuff like that.
- 1:31SPEAKER_03: Um super excited for the season.
- 1:33SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be uh one heck of a year.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Now, of course, last week we talked a lot about sleepers and breakouts and all that stuff.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: And of course, you know, I have to congratulate Tip on his victory lap for his amazing sleepers.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: And when I say victory lap, I mean like crashing and burning.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: I still like I still like looked at the list the other day and I'm like, he really picked like I don't even remember the names of the players.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: I oh I'll tell you who the names are, I'll tell you the names.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: The sleepers were Isaac Tesla, Ryan Flornoy, who Gina Noble, who is the two-time Queen's classic champion, guys.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: I'll say that again.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Two-time Queen's classic champion the what that shouted me out and was like Ryan Flornoy is the dude, and and then Dylan Sampson, these are all really good sleepers, guys.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: I don't understand why I'm getting the heat.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: I think I'd rather lose my fantasy league than put Dylan Sampson in my fantasy lineup.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: I think I was just more like I was uh more questioning your breakouts more than I was your sleepers.
- 2:35SPEAKER_03: I thought you dug deep in the cookie jar.
- 2:37SPEAKER_03: You found some sleepers that you know, to be fair, I thought were pretty solid, uh, especially in deeper formats.
- 2:44SPEAKER_03: Uh, not every format is a 12-round, 16-round draft.
- 2:48SPEAKER_03: Um, but like the breakouts, I was just like, I was like the breakouts.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: I think we just had a little different definition, if you will, of what a breakout is.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: But well, no, a break, a breakout, a breakout of my two breakout uh candidates, Matthew Golden, who's in his second year going with Green Bay.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: They have they they don't have as many wide receivers anymore.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: So now they they're gonna they're gonna spread the wealth between him, Christian Watson, and maybe even some Jaden Reed as well.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: I think he will break out this year, and then Romeo Dobbs.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Romeo Dobbs has never had a thousand yards, guys.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: I think he can easily get a thousand yards with all the attention AJ Brown's gonna be have on having on him.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: I I think that it it these are two breakout guys, yeah.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: And I just view them as sleepers.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: That's all.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: I I view them as people people are gonna waste their wafer wire claims on or peep waste their roster spots on them.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: You could you could do so much better.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: I'd rather like feel the second kicker.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Like, of course, I just want to remind everybody that we are live on YouTube, uh, Instagram and Twitter now.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: So you're always gonna want to make sure to check out the FF Space Podcast on any link tree to make sure you find all the links where you can keep up with the show and of course any type of uploads that we do put up.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: And of course, a daily reminder that we are again live on YouTube.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: So if you do want to, of course, join the stream, join the chat, make a comment down below, and of course, join the discussion, or if you have a question, that is probably the best time to do so at of course 9 p.m.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Eastern on Wednesdays.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Of course, you know, Jay Snow in the comments saying that was pretty harsh, Natter.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: But let me tell you, let me tell you, the truth hurts, and sometimes you just have to say what you need to say because that is the truth, and you you you don't want to be that guy that encourages bad uh takes or bad um whoa whoa um I don't know, like just encourage uh wow, you know, play talk.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Like I don't know, like I don't know the like I don't know the adjective to use, but like why would you encourage somebody jumping off a building?
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Like you gotta you gotta talk them off the ledge, and that's what I'm doing with Tip.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: But of course, on this all right, Matt, get ready.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: All right, get ready for today.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: But of course, on today's show, you know what we're gonna be talking about today?
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: We're gonna be talking about busts and not that kind of bust, but of course actual fantasy football players who are going to bust, and of course, the legendary hater aid segment.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: But of course, we're also gonna be talking about draft strategies, and with drafting season coming up around the corner, this is definitely going to be the moment where you're gonna want to stick around for the show and make sure you're taking notes on what not to do in your fantasy drafts.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: But lately, we got to go into a large section of the news and notes.
- 5:48SPEAKER_03: Nico muted himself.
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: There you go.
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: NFL headlines.
- 5:52SPEAKER_03: I love that drop, dude.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: Um anyone uh anyone want to start doing the skull chant?
- 5:58SPEAKER_03: Skull.
- 6:01SPEAKER_03: No, is that why you live with this?
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: I gotta do it, dude.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 6:05SPEAKER_03: Oh, come on.
- 6:05SPEAKER_03: It's about as top headline as you can get.
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: Uh, Vikings named uh Kyler Murray, uh, their week one starter.
- 6:11SPEAKER_03: Uh perhaps a surprise to some, perhaps a surprise to none.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: Kyler Murray to me is one of those guys where I feel like people either love him in the fantasy community or hate him.
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: But regardless, he will be under center uh for week one um as the Vikings take on the Green Bay Packers.
- 6:29SPEAKER_03: Um, pretty big news here, guys.
- 6:31SPEAKER_03: Uh Puka Nakua.
- 6:32SPEAKER_03: Puka wow, Puka Nakua is dealing with some minor soreness uh in his groin, but also um it was reported this morning by Shefty that he's facing a potential NFL suspension um under the league's uh personal conduct policy.
- 6:47SPEAKER_03: While no official ruling has been made, the league is reviewing the off-the-field incidents, meaning that it is in the range of outcomes that he could miss week one.
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: Um, the I don't know if you guys remember the allegation, but uh there was an altercation with a woman.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: Um, and basically I'll just leave it at that.
- 7:09SPEAKER_03: And the NFL is still trying to decide kind of what's going on there if he might possibly miss a game or two.
- 7:15SPEAKER_03: Josh Jacobs uh suspension is still on the table and under review.
- 7:20SPEAKER_03: Rasheed Rice is not expected to face any suspension uh per Ian Rappaport.
- 7:26SPEAKER_03: Jonathan Taylor, last week we highlighted a lot of individuals getting paid.
- 7:31SPEAKER_03: Jonathan Taylor signs a massive um extension with the Colts.
- 7:37SPEAKER_03: And the extension was for two years, 44 million, uh, with up to 47 million and 39 million guaranteed.
- 7:45SPEAKER_03: It's all about the monies.
- 7:48SPEAKER_03: Uh Natter's boy, Luther Burden, uh dealing with a groin injury.
- 7:52SPEAKER_03: Uh, he's expected to miss the preseason.
- 7:56SPEAKER_03: Uh, Chicago does hope that he'll be ready for the regular season.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: So encouraging, but we might see his ADP dip um here over the next couple weeks.
- 8:05SPEAKER_03: Uh depending on the severity of the injury, might be a good time to buy.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: Zay Flowers was injured at Ravens practice on Saturday um after colliding with safety Jalen Hawkins during seven-on-seven drills.
- 8:16SPEAKER_03: Uh, he limped off uh with what initially looked a little concerning, but Baltimore did later diagnose it as just a quad contusion.
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: Um, some camp buzz worth uh mentioning.
- 8:26SPEAKER_03: I think uh Tip might love this one.
- 8:29SPEAKER_03: Uh Ashton Genty reportedly wants to expand his receiving role um after catching 55 passes for 346 yards and five TDs as a rookie.
- 8:39SPEAKER_03: Obviously huge for a running back um to have that receiving upside.
- 8:43SPEAKER_03: He had it some of it last year, and it looks like they're looking to expand on it this year.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: Jadarian Price uh continues to generate buzz.
- 8:50SPEAKER_03: Uh head coach Mike McDonald said the backfield could feature uh two or even three running backs, but price has been impressing enough that McDonald said he will be difficult to keep off the field.
- 9:03SPEAKER_03: Uh Tipple loved this one.
- 9:05SPEAKER_03: We were going at it a little bit on X earlier this week about it.
- 9:08SPEAKER_03: Uh DJ Moore is getting a ton of buzz at camp.
- 9:11SPEAKER_03: He's uh it's been extremely positive.
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: Uh NFL.com noted um that Moore and Josh Allen um have been building great rapport.
- 9:20SPEAKER_03: Um, so definitely might need to tweak some rankings on DJ Moore.
- 9:24SPEAKER_03: Uh Garrett Wilson and Adnai Mitchell.
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: Um, obviously, Wilson remains the unquestioned Jets wide receiver one, uh, but he has reportedly developed pretty strong chemistry with Geno Smith, but Adnai Mitchell um has also been a notable riser um and is being pushed towards a more significant, larger role, if you will.
- 9:43SPEAKER_03: Uh Jacoby Lane, he's been lighting it up in camp.
- 9:46SPEAKER_03: A lot of buzz there.
- 9:47SPEAKER_03: Pat Bryant, same thing, a lot of buzz, uh, a lot of hype.
- 9:51SPEAKER_03: And then lastly, just some quick hitters.
- 9:54SPEAKER_03: Uh, Emeka Buka did limp off the field today uh with an apparent injury.
- 9:59SPEAKER_03: Mike Evans returned to practice.
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: J.K.
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: Dobbins, who also had another groin injury.
- 10:04SPEAKER_03: I don't know what's going on, but the groin injuries are just they're not stretching.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: You gotta stretch, dude.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: You gotta do yoga poses, bro.
- 10:10SPEAKER_03: It's coming.
- 10:11SPEAKER_03: Warrior poses.
- 10:12SPEAKER_03: It's comfy.
- 10:13SPEAKER_03: Um, Jay, so J.K.
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: Dobbins uh returned to practice, which is encouraging after he left practice the other day.
- 10:18SPEAKER_03: Bo Nicks is a full go, and Kirk Cousins remains the clear Raiders starter while Fernando Mendoza develops behind him.
- 10:26SPEAKER_03: Guys, I realize that was a ton of news.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: How are we feeling right now?
- 10:30SPEAKER_03: Does anything stand out to you?
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: Go ahead, Matter.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: Man, so I kind of want to do spend a little bit of time on the Vikings with their quarterback controversy.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: Now, this this show has spent a lot of time talking about the Vikings quarterbacks, but this one wasn't really much of a competition, like they went through no preseason games, they went through no uh adversity, no you know, talks, no trials and tribulations, no film on either one of them in the Vikings uniform together.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: The fact that before week one of preseason, that they already made the decision is not largely telling, but I saw reports that now maybe it's wrong, of course.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: You Nico being the the Vikings guy, you can agree or disagree, but there was reports that JJ McCarthy looked like he had more control of the offense than Kyler Murray.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: And for them to sit there and just make a quick 180 flip and say, Oh, you know what, Kyler Murray's gonna be the guy.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: I feel like there's there's something going on there.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: The fact that they made that so quick, not a fan.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Well, well, okay, you talking about he had more command of the offense, he's been in it a year more than Kyler Murray.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: So, like, like, yes, he should have more command of the well, two years, right?
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: Again, two years, exactly.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: Like, he should have more command of the offense.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Kyler Murray's still going, uh, and still learning it.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: And and for the fact that, like you said, they didn't even see any preseason games with it.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: They said they saw enough.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: And and and kudos to KOC for going out there and just saying, you know what, I'm gonna make the decision.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it might be a tough decision.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I might have to swallow my pride picking this guy in the first round.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: But I mean, he actually made the decision before that.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: That is telling in and of itself.
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm not a fan of that call.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: I think JJ McCarthy should be the guy that you go with, and Kyler Murray's the backup in case it goes south real fast.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: We know, we know you loathe Kyler Murray.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: Because he's bad.
- 12:27SPEAKER_03: Absolutely loves him.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: No, no, loads like that.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: No, I know.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: I'm joking.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: I'm joking.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: Like, like, like, no, like we understand that matter, but he's better than nine, dude.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: He's better than I'm gonna be able to do that.
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: I mean, at the end of the day, at the end of the day, I don't think you bring in a guy like this um and not at least see what he has and start him.
- 12:45SPEAKER_03: I mean, he is truthfully the billion dollar man uh that the Vikings are paying uh the 1.3 million to, which is presumably less than 98% of the roster.
- 12:57SPEAKER_03: Um, and I think it's probably the right call to make the decision in the quarterback room, know who's gonna be under center, know who's gonna be leading the team to start the year.
- 13:06SPEAKER_03: You know, I certainly don't feel that you know JJ McCarthy's career is over by any means.
- 13:11SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, this is truly a rental with Kyler.
- 13:14SPEAKER_03: Um, but ultimately I think this is the best move for the person that we probably care the most about when it comes to fantasy football, which is Justin Jefferson.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Exactly, and that's why you should fade both of them fade Kyler Murray and fade just we might talk about that later.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: Okay, all right.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: Well, you know what?
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: Let's move on to Puka.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: No ink, knowing okay.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: What's the safe floor for him?
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: He he is getting suspended two games, right?
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no, no.
- 13:42SPEAKER_03: He it's it's in the range of outcomes that it could potentially happen and it's under investigation.
- 13:50SPEAKER_03: Nothing is reported as he is suspended.
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: Okay, let's let's give a floor that he suspended one game.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: How far does his ADP drop?
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: I'm still and unless I'm playing in a guillotine league, I'm still playing Puka B.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: I've still drafted him.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: I think for one game that that would be dumb.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: They they there's no way they would do one game.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: I I don't know what the minimum is for that circumstance or what you know of what he has done or been accused of, but I think one game would be insane.
- 14:23SPEAKER_03: I mean, I advise it.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: It's not like he got in a team fight or something, like that.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: That's where you get suspended, maybe a game, or maybe you missed curfew or something.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Like he does something serious, serious enough to be getting these out.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Like I think it's gonna be more than that.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: And and and if I'm in a redraft, if it's if it's four games, I would take him.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: I would would he drop to the second round, yeah.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: For sure.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: I think so.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: I would say that's a quarter of the season, right?
- 14:51SPEAKER_01: A quarter of the fantasy season, actually, it might be more than a quarter at this point.
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: Like, I would I would worry.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: You take somebody in the second round, that's four L's in a row.
- 15:00SPEAKER_03: I mean, you think of Rasheed Rice's suspension last year, and I know obviously Puka is better than Rasheed Rice.
- 15:06SPEAKER_03: I'm not saying they're on the same level, but um Rasheed Rice was suspended like six games, and I think he was like probably in like the fifth round last year.
- 15:13SPEAKER_03: Like people knew that they could, you know, inevitably just slide him on to like a uh NA spot on their roster.
- 15:21SPEAKER_03: So I mean at the end of the day, like I had Puka as my wide receiver one, but I think what this tells me is it's time to give Jamar Chase the edge here due to the potential suspension.
- 15:32SPEAKER_03: And I believe whatever debate there was between Puka and Jamar Chase, I think that can be put to rest and you can go ahead and more confidently draft Jamar Chase, knowing that this is lingering in the background.
- 15:46SPEAKER_03: But at the end of the day, I do think it's going to be resolved before the season starts.
- 15:52SPEAKER_03: It's just a matter of when you're making your when you're drafting.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: But if you're draft, if you have a draft tomorrow or Friday and you're at the 103 spot, like you need to draft Chase just on the off chance that there is a minor suspension.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, at this point, I'm fading the guy until further notice so we get some clarity.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: Matter, wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: He dropped down to the third round.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: You gonna you're gonna not pick up Puka Nakua?
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, he he could be suspended four games, six games.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, if he if if he's suspended four games, if we find out how many games he's suspended, how many games are you comfortable?
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: Is okay, four.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: I think you would be comfortable getting him in the third round because that means you've already got two possibly really good players, um, that you that you draw, and then when he comes back on, you've got a potential first round number one overall finisher uh in in in fantasy.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, like, really, like if it's four games, is the third round okay for you, or are you still gonna fade him?
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, that's way too expensive for a guy that's gonna be out a quarter of your season.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: I would go like you could probably do a safe, like each game is a round.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: You could probably think of it that way, and then okay, you can the fifth round or something like that.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: But I don't think you'll draw it's like really like a a second rounder or even a third round pick for somebody that's gonna be missing that much time is a crippling move on your team because that's such a heavy investment that you're gonna be making on a player that's not gonna provide any dividends, so you are essentially forfeiting the first handful of weeks, which he is gone, and this it's a this was uh keep climb from 0-4.
- 17:31SPEAKER_03: This was Shefty's direct quote, just to help you know clear up any potential confusion.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: It's still being reviewed by the NFL, but it is possible when the Rams versus 49ers play in Australia, Puka Nakua doesn't play in that game.
- 17:47SPEAKER_03: End quote.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I mean it could be just one, I don't know, right?
- 17:52SPEAKER_03: It it could just be one, and apparently the Rams and Niners are playing in Australia, and also I'm telling you, also, guys, the NFL season kicks off on a Wednesday.
- 18:03SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: Oh, you guys, what are you guys doing on Wednesdays?
- 18:06SPEAKER_03: What are you guys doing on Wednesdays?
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: And we're gonna be here Wednesday.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: I'm here with you guys.
- 18:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're here wrapping it up, talking ball.
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's gonna be great.
- 18:15SPEAKER_03: It'll probably be what close to half time, I feel no six o'clock.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: The game starts what at 5 30.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: I'm just honestly, I'm just assuming assuming 7 p.m.
- 18:26SPEAKER_03: Central, but neither here nor there.
- 18:28SPEAKER_03: We'll uh we'll hang out with y'all, we'll watch some ball and talk some ball.
- 18:31SPEAKER_03: That's what we're here for.
- 18:32SPEAKER_03: Okay, yeah.
- 18:32SPEAKER_03: You know, you know what I'll probably do?
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: I'll probably have like a screen and I'll put it on the the the stream of the actual game going on, so we could probably have like a screen of the game while we're talking over it.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: We'll probably mute the commentary, unless it's like Chris Collinsworth, then it's like okay.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Well, um, yeah, all right.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: Well, I I did want to talk about my guy Ashton Genty real quick, and and it's gonna be really quick.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Um, just because come on, you got Kelly involved in this, guys.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: No, but see, look, you talked about him being more involved in the passing game.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: I did write an article uh with football guys, uh, and we talked, and that's what I talked about.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: I talked about Ashton Genty, and as a matter of fact, I talked about how well Clint Kubiak's system works when it comes to pass catching bats.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: And the last three systems that he's worked under, uh, the Seattle Seahawks last year, Super Bowl winning champions, New Orleans Saints in 2024 and 2021 with the Minnesota Vikings.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: He was the orchestrator of these offenses.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: They averaged 81 receptions.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: 81 receptions.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: So it's an easy path for Ashton Genty to get 60 plus receptions this year.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: That's all I had to say.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: And I really love my guy Ashton Jitsy.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: I think that he could end up being a top three running back.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: Well, he's not gonna get carries, they're gonna be down too much for that.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: So maybe he gets a couple more receptions.
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: I like Genty.
- 20:00SPEAKER_03: I have my my RB8, and I like that behind my boy, Kenny Walker.
- 20:06SPEAKER_03: But y'all are coming around to him.
- 20:08SPEAKER_03: I y'all are coming around to him.
- 20:10SPEAKER_03: Tip mentioned on the last show.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: I'm not a little fine, but all right, so of course, on this episode, we got the hate or raid, we got the of course weak sauce and their draft talk.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: So, you know what?
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: Let's move on to the hate or raid section.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: Hate a raid.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, of course, players that we don't like is gonna be the discussion of this hate or raid segment.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Of course, the ones that we think are gonna bust.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: I mean, guys, come on, tell me you didn't like that transition right there.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Tell me you didn't like that transition.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, I like it.
- 20:50SPEAKER_03: Felt like I was at an EDM concert.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: That's another point.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: You know, you know, for when I'm doing like these drops and everything, the the music is probably the hardest one.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: Like, you think like creating it is hard?
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: No, finding music that matches it is probably the hardest part.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: I can see anyway.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: Fair enough.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: Nico, help us out here.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: Who is one player that is going to be a bust?
- 21:15SPEAKER_03: We're going bus.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: No, we're doing hater rate.
- 21:18SPEAKER_03: Hate rate, yeah.
- 21:20SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 21:21SPEAKER_03: Well, one guy that I'm hating on that I was not hating on a few weeks ago, um, is Alec Pierce.
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: Uh, he just got another PRP injection.
- 21:32SPEAKER_03: Uh, his current ADP sits at 84th overall, uh, wide receiver 35 in most consensus rankings.
- 21:38SPEAKER_03: I personally have him as my wide receiver 32.
- 21:41SPEAKER_03: Uh, we talked about him a little bit more in depth in our wide receiver ranking show.
- 21:46SPEAKER_03: But here we are, guys, on August 12th.
- 21:49SPEAKER_03: And he's not only coming off the ankle surgery, he still hadn't returned to team drills.
- 21:54SPEAKER_03: The heel and ankle issue has lingered um much longer than expected.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: And I'm just I'm starting to have some hesitations in regards to this Colts offense as a whole.
- 22:07SPEAKER_03: Um, even though we've obviously talked about Tyler Warren and Josh Downs as really strong picks in your drafts.
- 22:12SPEAKER_03: And the reason I was high on Pierce coming into the year is he was super explosive last season.
- 22:17SPEAKER_03: I mean, he passed the eye test, he was constantly on red zone making big play after big play.
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: He was first in air yard share, second in um average depth of target, second in yards per target and yards per reception, and seventh in explosive rating.
- 22:32SPEAKER_03: And they just paid him to be the wide receiver one and expand his route tree a bit.
- 22:38SPEAKER_03: And he's just not getting the camp reps right now with Daniel Jones to be able to expand that route tree and be that true wide receiver one that I was projecting him to be, you know, even months ago and even for the last couple weeks.
- 22:54SPEAKER_03: I was kind of hoping he would maybe be back, you know, if not this week, next week, and get a couple weeks of work.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: But here we are, another PRP injection.
- 23:03SPEAKER_03: So for that reason, I'm starting to have some hesitations and perhaps may need to uh reconsider moving him down a few slots.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: Definitely move him moving below DJ Moore.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Tip, what do you feel about that?
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Are you are you like okay with it?
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: With with Alec Pierce, yeah.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is not good.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is I mean, he's getting injections in his ankles before he even hits the field.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: Like, no, I'm I'm I think that Natter uh Nico is right on this one.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: I think that the offense as a whole just I mean, it had some potential, maybe not like a lot of promise, but it has some potential.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: We saw what it did last year.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: Um, they did lose some pieces like Michael uh Pittman Jr., but I think Tyler Warren now look, I've been drumming his beat for or beating his drum for um a couple of weeks now, maybe maybe a little more than that.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: And I think that it's still gonna continue with him.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: I think that you know he is going to benefit from this greatly.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: And and the other person is Jonathan Taylor, so I think it's gonna be a combination of both of those uh that really benefit from this.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: And um, Alec Pierce, I'm sorry to say, if it's a redraft league, I'm not drafting him.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: I dynasty, I might take a shot on him.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, if he drops down, maybe some people get just because he's still young and he does have to fulfill that contract.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: I think he will get back to it.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: Um, but this is not good at all.
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, 26 years young.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, I I'm trying to find a way to like disagree or rebuttal with it, but I have to agree mostly just because I don't want anybody on the Colts.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: Like it's just an offense that is designed to fail at this point.
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: Um, whether it's the quarterback, the wide receivers, or the running backs, I don't really want any part of it.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: And you're giving me injury concerns with injections and unstable unstability.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Like, why take the risk?
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: Where's the reward?
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: All right, but of course, for the go ahead to oh go ahead.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: No, I was just looking at the comments, and then he he uh John said uh James Salman saying Colt GM.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: Did you see that?
- 25:10SPEAKER_03: Uh no, I didn't see it.
- 25:11SPEAKER_03: Colt GM2.
- 25:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so I'm actually looking at a report from Fantasy Pros and it said Alec Pierce did not receive second PRP injection, but one day ago, um, the New York Times reported Alec Pierce received second PRP injection.
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: So Lord being what did he get?
- 25:31SPEAKER_03: Listen, point being it's August 12th, he's not getting the reps he needs to you know expand his route tree a little bit and not be a one-trick pony.
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: Um, so yeah, maybe we're looking at multiple reports here that aren't aligning in regards to the specific PRP injection.
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: But point being, fact of the matter is he's not practicing, it's August 12th, and that's a problem.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: That is a problem.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: So, of course, you know, with another problem.
- 25:58SPEAKER_01: There we go.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: So, of course, for this hater rate section, we are talking about training camp hype and players with ADPs that are elevated through hype, but we probably should take a step back, or players who are struggling through camp that we need to, of course, reevaluate where we're taking them.
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: For my guy, I'm actually talking about Malik neighbors, and um his camp hype is through the roof right now.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: And he hasn't taken a hit, he hasn't put any stress on his uh his uh uh past injuries from last year, he hasn't really taken the part that made me sit there and say, Oh, I'm comfortable spending in early round draft pick on him.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: And because of that, I'm sitting there looking at his hype videos, and I almost sip the tea.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: I almost sipped the Malik neighbors hype tea.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: But then I had to sit there and remind myself that usually after a couple of contacted games in the NFL, swelling happens, soreness happens, hamstring issues happen, soft tissues issue, soft tissue issues happen, and of course, it makes us have to re-evaluate okay, is this just hype or is there something going on with Malik Neighbors?
- 27:03SPEAKER_01: And right now, with an ADP of still 25, right now, no contact.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: I want to fade at his cost.
- 27:11SPEAKER_01: He's up to 25.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: See, uh that one I'm a little struggling with on the ADP.
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: I looked at sleeper on a mock draft, so I created a quick mock draft and then I clicked Malik Neighbors and then it said 25.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: I think it was like 25 and a half, but yeah, I mean it's Zorin for sure.
- 27:28SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's I mean, everyone on the Twitter sphere is seeing you know all the routes that he's running, and um, you know, he's looking pretty sharp.
- 27:37SPEAKER_03: But to your point, I mean, football is I mean, football is a contact sport.
- 27:41SPEAKER_03: I mean, you are you know going up against it with some of the most athletic people in the world.
- 27:46SPEAKER_03: And you know, I I certainly think even if it's a great sign that he doesn't start the year on the pup list, you know, at the end of the day, his ADP is steaming probably faster than anybody else's.
- 27:57SPEAKER_03: So you definitely have to kind of weigh out are you willing to, you know, perhaps take a slow start, you know, to get a first round talent in Malik Neighbors, you know, for the second half, or maybe like from like week five or week six on.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: Or it could be quite the opposite.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: He could start strong and then swelling can reoccur, soreness, and then he tapers off throughout the year.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: I think that's why you get him and then you trade him.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: Like, I like I think that's what you do because you get a situation where they're gonna be in some games where they're gonna need to score points.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: Um neighbors is probably gonna be at his best strength at the beginning of the season, right?
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: And then he might have a situation or a week where he tells he tells off, maybe tweaks it, maybe there's a little swelling in that week.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: Like, that's what I think you do.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: I think you get him, not in dynasty.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: This is redraft only.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Like, I would, I would, I would get him, play him a few weeks, try.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, he has a couple blow-up weeks, and you're like, oh, see, he's back, he's back, and then flip that bad boy because something's gonna happen.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: That that's what I think you do, Matt.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: All righty do tip.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: Um, but for me, for me, I you know, I took a little different approach uh than you guys.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: So I talked about a player who I feel like is not getting enough love and in camps, and I hate it.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: I hate that this player isn't getting enough love because I've been I I haven't talked a lot about him on this show, but I have talked about him um on some of the Twitter streets out there.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Jacoby Lane, um, he is not getting enough love.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: We talked a little bit about him earlier, how well he's doing in training camp.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm gonna tell you how well he's doing in training camp because OC Declan Doyle uh even compared him to Saints Legend, Michael William Thomas Jr.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Now I don't look, look, now I'm not here to say that that is gonna be the next Michael Thomas, right?
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: But what I will say is he's got that body frame.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: And Lamar Jackson, I've always said this, always needed that number two wide receiver.
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: He always had Mark Andrews, he has A Flowers now, but he always needed that number two.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: Rashad Bateman couldn't get it done.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: He's had other wide receivers that could not get it done.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: And I think Jacoby Lane, maybe not at the beginning of the season.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: This is the opposite effect of what we just talked about with Malik Neighbors, which we'll talk about first and second half players later on in the season.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: But I'll tell you right now, I think later on in the season, this Jacoby Lane kid, especially in the red zone, could be a force.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: And I really think that him right now, his ADP is sitting in like the 200s.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: Uh, I'm not I'm not gonna say, you know, go out there and and and get him right away.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: But if he's like your last pick and you have a pick to spare, go ahead and just do that and then see what happens.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: Stay it, stay stay the course, keep him on your team.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, we got clocks now.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: You said wrap it up, B.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: Wrap it up.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, once you said ADP of 200, I said I'm like, of course, Tip picked him.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: Like, come on.
- 30:58SPEAKER_03: I mean, to be fair, and we mentioned it in the news and notes that you know he's getting a ton of hype.
- 31:03SPEAKER_03: He has the chance to be, you know, the second wide receiver um on a what we project to be a pretty good offense.
- 31:10SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, Rashad Bateman's obviously been around for years, and you know, he's had his flash in the pan type of moments.
- 31:18SPEAKER_03: I mean, he Lane's making highlight real catch after highlight real catch in camp right now.
- 31:23SPEAKER_03: Um, I think he's he's kind of in that same boat of the striblings of the world, the Cyrus Allen's, um, the you know, uh, who's the other guy with the Dolphins making plays right now?
- 31:37SPEAKER_03: Um, Caleb Douglas, yeah, uh, who's apparently lighting it up.
- 31:41SPEAKER_03: Like, I think he's in that same camp of guys that when you're making one of your last picks of the draft, you know, cue those guys up because you know, the upside to provide you with some, you know, actual fantasy value at an ADP of you know 180 to 200, which will be one of your last picks of the draft, you know, could be a good pick.
- 32:02SPEAKER_03: So definitely cue that.
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: You just compared him, you just compared him to a dolphins play.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: Uh maybe that was a bad call on me, then well, dude.
- 32:11SPEAKER_03: I mean, dolphins have I mean they have basically three or four guys that are just duking it out for the wide receiver one spot, and you know, right now, right now, you know, the one who's making the most highlight reel catches in camp and generating the most buzz and building the best rapport with Malik Willis is Caleb Douglas.
- 32:32SPEAKER_03: So I think it's just in the camp of you know, guys to queue up at the end of your draft that you know it's it within the range of outcomes based on what we're seeing in camp that they can provide you with some good fantasy value at some point during the season.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: I bet none of the dolphins wide receivers have 40 catches over 40 catches.
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, come on, that's I don't think though much they're gonna run.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't bet that the dolphins wide receivers outperform the Ravers Ravens wide receivers.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: Easy.
- 33:01SPEAKER_03: Also, let's not get it twisted.
- 33:03SPEAKER_03: This offense is going through Derrick Henry and uh Zay Flowers, and our boy G Berg mentioned that in the comments.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so G Berg, he says I like him, but it's hard not to see the Ravens running the ball a lot, and any ball that gets thrown is going to Zay Flowers, and I agree.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: So, right now, instead of queuing up, um what's his name?
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: I can you know I don't even know how to say his name, Jacoby Lane.
- 33:27SPEAKER_01: I'm queuing up the kicker instead.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: Matters in too many kicker leagues.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: I thought you don't play in kicker leagues.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: You said you don't play with the kickers.
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: We don't play with tight ends.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: We don't play tight ends, we play with kickers.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, tight ends.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: No, that's backwards.
- 33:42SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm telling you, like a a kicker is more important in football than a tight end.
- 33:47SPEAKER_01: If you eliminate the tight end position, it would it would be like I know thank you, Kelly.
- 33:52SPEAKER_03: Hater aid segment had to be brought up.
- 33:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think um, I got another guy I want to talk about.
- 33:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you guys.
- 33:59SPEAKER_03: It's uh it's an interesting one that I'm kind of hating on a little bit for this specific, specific player.
- 34:06SPEAKER_03: Um, and that's uh ETN.
- 34:08SPEAKER_03: Um ETN is getting obviously uh a lot of hype uh coming over from the Jaguars this uh past offseason, about to play in a Kellen Moore uh led offense that's high velocity, a lot of plays, a lot of opportunities.
- 34:25SPEAKER_03: And when they signed ETN, I think the fantasy community was very like, okay, that's it for Kamara.
- 34:33SPEAKER_03: He's either retiring or he's gonna get traded and maybe have one last hurrah, you know, maybe deal him over to a contending team like the Chiefs or something like that to be, you know, say a third down back.
- 34:47SPEAKER_03: Well, they re-signed Kamara and he's reportedly been getting more of the third down work in camp.
- 34:54SPEAKER_03: And obviously, ETN is handling a lot of the early downs.
- 34:58SPEAKER_03: I would project him to be the red zone guy as well, especially with no Taysom Hill there these days.
- 35:03SPEAKER_03: Thank goodness.
- 35:03SPEAKER_03: Um, but right now he's going as the RB18, uh, 46th overall in most consensus rankings.
- 35:10SPEAKER_03: And if I'm drafting ETN, like I was really hoping and expecting, you know, that we would get that three down upside.
- 35:18SPEAKER_03: And this isn't what I want to hear.
- 35:20SPEAKER_03: Uh Kamara, you know, obviously I'm not saying Kamara is electric or someone you should even be targeting in your drafts, but at the end of the day, it hurts ETN.
- 35:28SPEAKER_03: You know, I really wanted him to get kind of that two-minute work, receiving work.
- 35:33SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's a good receiving back, you know, he had you know a lot of yards last year uh through the air with the Jaguars.
- 35:39SPEAKER_03: So um fade completely, I would say no.
- 35:42SPEAKER_03: Uh fade at cost.
- 35:43SPEAKER_03: Um, I think I'm kind of starting to second guess myself a little bit.
- 35:47SPEAKER_03: Um, I personally have uh ETN um sitting as my RB19, most consensus at RB18.
- 35:55SPEAKER_03: So I was already kind of maybe a little bit behind on him, but I'm starting to have some second guesses there.
- 36:01SPEAKER_03: Might even need to move some others up and move him back one or two slots.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Natter, what do you think on that one?
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's it's tough to make that type of argument against it.
- 36:12SPEAKER_01: I really like Etienne as a a player.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: I don't like the scheme or the fit that he went to in his current situation with with you, you know, Alvin Kamara there, Devin Neal, Keandre Miller.
- 36:23SPEAKER_01: You know, those are early draft pick capitals that they spent, and they go ahead and make a little big splash signing on it.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: Uh, it's tough.
- 36:30SPEAKER_01: Like, I think his range is really good.
- 36:33SPEAKER_01: And like right now, G Burke says in the comments, Etienne and Scat go in the fourth round.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: He says scatterbo is gonna be the guy.
- 36:39SPEAKER_01: I say fade both of them because scatterbo looks like he's a train wreck waiting to happen and he's gonna collide into something, especially after a second backflip.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: Uh huh.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: But he's a different story for another time.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: But Etienne, they're both of them.
- 36:53SPEAKER_01: I would rather you go in a different direction.
- 36:55SPEAKER_01: That's when you start looking at wide receivers, start looking at your quarterback, maybe even a tight end, unfortunately.
- 37:01SPEAKER_01: But those two, I'm not a fan.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: I I think the offense is going to be a lot better than what we think.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: Um, year two under Keller Moore, they needed a strong running game.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: Um, they're getting Travis ETN.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: Um, I think he's still a good running back.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: The offensive line has improved.
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: Uh, we talked about that on on our earlier shows back when we were doing Twitter Spaces.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: Um uh shout out to Debro, he talked about that.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: So I I I think that you know I'm still willing to pay on on that fourth round, especially if he's like my number three running back.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: Because I'm already going heavy on running backs in the first two or three rounds.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: So if I if I don't like the wide receivers and ETN sitting there and he's my third running back, man, I I'll I'll do that all day.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: I've done that and and I'll continue to do it.
- 37:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I just I really want to see him get that receiving work.
- 37:54SPEAKER_03: I mean, talking about Scat, I have him as my RB17, which is actually already two slots ahead of ETN.
- 38:01SPEAKER_03: Um, so I'm I'm a big believer in SCAT this year.
- 38:05SPEAKER_03: Uh, but it's it's starting to get to the point where I'm just like considering moving up, you know, a potentially uh Montgomery or a DeAndre Swift over.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I just don't I just don't think I I just don't think I I think you'll give up some of the passing work because he should Travis Etienne or A Shan should get majority of the goal line work and you'll be happy there.
- 38:29SPEAKER_03: And that's kind of what's keeping him above, you know, yeah Swift for sure, knowing that uh Manungai is um in the picture, but Montgomery's the guy that I'm kind of looking at where it's like okay, maybe I slide him up to 19 and um you know uh Etienne 20, which by the way, Tib, do you remember when we were hosting the rotoballers Sunday morning start 'em sit 'em.
- 38:53SPEAKER_03: And someone came on and was like, Hey, should I start um Kyle?
- 38:58SPEAKER_03: Uh, what's his last name?
- 38:59SPEAKER_03: Mongolia or something like that.
- 39:01SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: Do you remember that?
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: I do remember that.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Oh, banan guy?
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: And we were all because King, because Scott the King Angles on there, and he hates when people mess up their name.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: He will clown you if you mess up their name.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: Oh man.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, god.
- 39:17SPEAKER_03: Well, just don't ask Snatter to say uh please don't ask.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: Oh god, yeah, no.
- 39:21SPEAKER_03: Well, anyways, Natter, who you got as your second guy?
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: You know, unfortunately, I'm gonna have to pile the whole Seahawks running back crew as one group in this situation, but more, of course, more specifically, Jadarian Price.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: He's ADP at 70 right now, and Nico, like you said earlier, where they're planning on featuring two or even three RBs in their system, makes it so paying an ADP of 70 for Jadarius Price is too expensive at this point.
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: And of course, this is without Charbonnet just hanging in the corner ready to pounce and retake his claim in the red zone.
- 39:57SPEAKER_01: It makes it difficult to want to sit there and justify that type of pick.
- 40:00SPEAKER_01: Now, that being said, uh, if he drops further or his ADP lowers, then of course I would be more than willing to take Jadarius' price.
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: But at 70, I think I'm okay on that one.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: It is scary, especially.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, Nico talked about it earlier.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: He talked about how um this could be a three-man timeshare committee, whatever you want to call it.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: I think the correct term is timeshare, but um you this could be something dangerous, and you know that uh Charbonnet is just looming, and you know, we see a lot of the good things that the Darien Price is doing.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: I think they're gonna run the ball a lot, it's just now like you got to divvy it up amongst those three, maybe even four.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's just it's too much.
- 40:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, for me, it's I think people are sleeping on Emmanuel Wilson.
- 40:54SPEAKER_03: And I'm not I'm not sitting here, I'm not sitting here and saying that dude's efficient because he's not.
- 41:01SPEAKER_03: You need him to get you need him to get four yards, he'll get you three.
- 41:04SPEAKER_03: If you need him to get two yards, he will get you three.
- 41:07SPEAKER_03: Like he's one of those guys.
- 41:08SPEAKER_03: He stepped in for Josh Jacobs multiple times, uh, last year, even specifically.
- 41:14SPEAKER_03: Uh, he's good in kind of the the bowling ball red zone um situation, if you will.
- 41:20SPEAKER_03: Um, I just think he's gonna be a little bit more involved.
- 41:22SPEAKER_03: And we we've talked about it, you know, from time to time.
- 41:27SPEAKER_03: And I personally have prices my RB27.
- 41:29SPEAKER_03: I have him probably fairly lower than most do.
- 41:32SPEAKER_03: Um, I just have a hard time seeing someone who was not a bell cow in his on his college team, showcased no receiving upside on his college team, and now all of a sudden we're gonna have like expect him to be a bell cow at the NFL level playing for the defending Super Bowl champs.
- 41:50SPEAKER_03: Like, nah, I I'm not saying like it's not a good value pick, you know, if he falls a little bit, but at cost or reaching, like no shot.
- 42:02SPEAKER_03: I mean, that's usually when I'm starting to transition a little bit over to you know drafting some wide receivers.
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: So, of course, hey, any specific comments or concerns or questions that you have on any player?
- 42:15SPEAKER_01: If you agree, disagree, make sure to let us know in the comments down below.
- 42:18SPEAKER_01: Friendly or let us know our live on YouTube, 9 p.m.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: Eastern Standard Time.
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: We the show is live, so you of course you can come in, chime in, ask questions, contribute to the conversation like everybody has so far.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: But of course, I I tend to agree with you guys like Charbonnet, Price, Emmanuel Wilson.
- 42:38SPEAKER_01: I just too much mouth to feed.
- 42:40SPEAKER_01: I mean, we always say, like the Patriots, they have that issue, too many mouth to feed, or any other cluttered RB room, and this is no different at this point.
- 42:49SPEAKER_01: Don't forget about George Helani.
- 42:51SPEAKER_01: Oh, sorry, yeah.
- 42:52SPEAKER_03: I saw it, but I didn't know how to say I'm not fair.
- 42:56SPEAKER_03: Tip, who you got as your second guy?
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the hate about DJ Moore needs to stop right now.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: No, it doesn't, Nico.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: Uh uh, me and Nico, we got we got into it.
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: Well, we didn't get into it, but we had a nice gentle back and forth uh on on X talking about uh DJ Moore.
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: Look, guys, his current ADP is 52, okay?
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: That might scare you a little bit.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: You're like, oh my god, DJ Moore.
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: But I will tell you this: he we already know he's going back and playing with Joe Brady.
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: He's averaged in the Joe Brady offense, he averaged 80 receptions, 1,175 yards, and four touchdowns.
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: So I think that that's an easy bet for him that he'll he'll at least get you those numbers right there.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: And that's the top 15.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: If he gets two more touchdowns, you're talking top 10 category.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: So I think that this could be DJ Moore.
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: This could be a resurgence here.
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: It's the first time he gets to play with the or the best quarterback he's played with ever in his career.
- 43:53SPEAKER_00: And they've already been talking about him in camp.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: This look now, if he is your third wide receiver or even your flex position player, you are going to be ecstatic in 2026 with this guy.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: Nico, I'll let you start.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: I know you got a lot.
- 44:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, yes, the reports from camp are extremely encouraging, uh, that they're building really solid rapport.
- 44:23SPEAKER_03: You know, I just feel like we've seen this story before with guys like Amari Cooper.
- 44:28SPEAKER_03: Um, we've seen it before with obviously them like drafting Keon Coleman, like just a lot of hype for like a wide receiver one uh for Josh Allen.
- 44:36SPEAKER_03: And this guy, Josh Allen, that is, he loves to be he's a distributor of the football.
- 44:40SPEAKER_03: He's peppering Kincaid, he's peppering Knox, he's peppering uh Shakir.
- 44:46SPEAKER_03: You know, I mean, at times he likes to throw to Ty Johnson, and on top of that, they've been wanting to get James Cook more involved in the past game this year.
- 44:53SPEAKER_03: He's a 29-year-old aging wide receiver that showcased um a really big dip in efficiency.
- 45:00SPEAKER_03: And for me, it's just cost.
- 45:02SPEAKER_03: Like I'm looking at the draft board right now, I'm seeing guys like Roma Dunze going after him, Byshall Tootin, uh Carnell Tate.
- 45:12SPEAKER_03: Um, I mean, those are all guys that I would rather have than DJ Moore because I just feel that they have significantly more upside.
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: And when you're looking at the fifth, sixth round of your draft, like that's kind of the bust zone.
- 45:24SPEAKER_03: And to me, like I'm drafting the guy that is younger, has more upside, and all three of those guys that I mentioned, I would draft over DJ Moore without a question.
- 45:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, someone take you to church.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like at the time, no, no, my guy, my guy pick his in podcast talking about like no, I no, I just really think that look, guys, this is one of those scenarios where I understand the aging thing.
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: 29 is with the way DJ Moore plays, and how you know he's a strong player.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: I think he'll be okay.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: But I I will say this the James Cook thing, the the the that is real, like he could, and with Ty Johnson getting a little banged up today, or whenever it happened, um, that is even like James Cook is now a workhorse lead that he is the offense.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: But I think that people are gonna forget about DJ Moore.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: He's gonna be left around middle of the field doing all sorts of different uh combination routes and movements.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: I I really think that this is gonna work out really well for them.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, I understand the Keon Coleman.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: Stop bringing up Amari Cooper with the Buffalo Bills because that was that that was that was trash.
- 46:31SPEAKER_00: That was trash.
- 46:32SPEAKER_00: But uh, but no, I I it's gonna be a fun little debate that we're gonna be monitoring all season long.
- 46:37SPEAKER_00: At least I'm gonna be monitoring it, Nico.
- 46:40SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, he's he's 29, Debo Samuel's 30, and they have similar playstyles.
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: At that point, I'm gonna just tell you to just drive Debo Samuel at the significantly lower ADP.
- 46:52SPEAKER_01: But of course, that is enough for this segment right here of the hater raid.
- 46:57SPEAKER_01: This one is gonna be a recurring segment throughout the whole year because there is so much that we could talk about and utilize this for.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: But right now, we have one of my favorite segments, the weak sauce.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: Weak sauce.
- 47:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, so you you know you might be asking, you might be asking, okay, why the French fries and weak sauce and where'd that come from?
- 47:25SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, long story short.
- 47:27SPEAKER_01: Long story short, one that looked really good.
- 47:30SPEAKER_01: Uh it did look good.
- 47:32SPEAKER_01: It did, yeah.
- 47:33SPEAKER_01: A lot of people don't know this about that.
- 47:34SPEAKER_01: It does look like that.
- 47:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, we don't talk about that.
- 47:39SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, a long uh a lot of a long time ago, I actually played uh tourney baseball.
- 47:44SPEAKER_01: I traveled a lot for it, and uh I was on a tournament team.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: We had a practice, and because I'm left-handed, I'm very limited on the positions I can play.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: I was first base, catcher, or pitcher.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: I refused to play outfield.
- 47:57SPEAKER_01: I hated it at any like I didn't want to do it.
- 48:00SPEAKER_01: Uh, and we were short-handed at that practice, and we were doing some outfield drills.
- 48:04SPEAKER_01: So the coach he asked me to go to the outfield, left field specifically.
- 48:07SPEAKER_01: And I didn't want to do it, but I did it.
- 48:09SPEAKER_01: I went, I jogged to the outfield, and you could tell I was upset.
- 48:13SPEAKER_01: And of course, you know, at this time I'm like 15, 16 years old, so this is like 15 years ago.
- 48:18SPEAKER_01: And and of course, you know, the coach he hits me a lollipop fly ball, and I'm pissed off.
- 48:23SPEAKER_01: I like you know, lazily grab it, you know.
- 48:24SPEAKER_01: I just kind of flick my hand to the side, pick it up, and then I lollipop it to the shortstop.
- 48:28SPEAKER_01: Coach's son, by the way.
- 48:30SPEAKER_01: And of course, you know, he you know, he throws it back in.
- 48:32SPEAKER_01: And of course, you know, I go back to my spot in left field, and then the the shortstop, he turns around and he goes, Natter, you're a French fry dipped in weak sauce.
- 48:42SPEAKER_01: And you know, it's been 15 years, and I still think about that, and I haven't recovered from that insult.
- 48:48SPEAKER_01: And I think about that a lot at night, and um, therapy hasn't fixed that insult from me yet.
- 48:54SPEAKER_01: And every so every so often I get kind of have those moments where I'm like, man, dude, that guy's a French fry dipped in weak sauce, and it returns me back to that moment, which is why this segment was created.
- 49:05SPEAKER_01: And of course, we're utilizing this segment to talk about the players who they're just French fries dipped in weak sauce, they're gonna have bad years this year, and they're gonna be busts.
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: You should avoid them at all costs.
- 49:15SPEAKER_01: But of course, Nico, who's gonna be that guy?
- 49:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so I'm gonna start out um with Trey McBride, and I'm not gonna sit here and say he's actually a weak sauce player, he is an elite player, he has elite underlying metrics.
- 49:31SPEAKER_03: I'm fading the cost because you're buying right now, um, based off of last year's ceiling, uh, with a potentially worse quarterback situation.
- 49:40SPEAKER_03: And for him to pay off at his ADP, he's going to need another year of strong TD production to return on that second round value.
- 49:48SPEAKER_03: The Cardinals they invested heavily uh in their running back room.
- 49:52SPEAKER_03: They drafted Jeremiah Love, uh, they brought in Tyler Algier in hopes of trying to establish more of a ground game.
- 50:00SPEAKER_03: Additionally, he has massive target competition between Marv and Michael Wilson, combined with love getting a lot of the receiving work out of the backfield.
- 50:09SPEAKER_03: And in order for McBride to, like I said, repeat what he did, Brissett will have to throw a crazy amount like he did last year.
- 50:17SPEAKER_03: And are we sure like Brissett is even good after a 14-game stretch?
- 50:22SPEAKER_03: He's been a backup quarterback his entire life.
- 50:25SPEAKER_03: And additionally, the Cardinals will inevitably want to at some point see what they have in Carson Beck.
- 50:32SPEAKER_03: Uh, so once they're, you know, maybe two and seven, three and six, something like that, you know, they're probably gonna try to see what they can get out of him.
- 50:40SPEAKER_03: You know, I just don't feel comfortable drafting a guy with my second round pick when guys like AJ Brown, Chris Olave, Rasheed Rice, Kenneth Walker, Derrick Henry are all going at the same time as him.
- 50:53SPEAKER_03: He's an elite player, elite underlying metrics.
- 50:56SPEAKER_03: I just I can't get myself to draft him at his current ADP.
- 51:02SPEAKER_03: He's not gonna return on that value.
- 51:06SPEAKER_01: So Cardinals fans don't like that.
- 51:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 51:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we got some Cardinal fans in here.
- 51:11SPEAKER_01: I and I'm sorry to say I typically will never defend the tight end's position.
- 51:18SPEAKER_01: Typically, I will never defend it.
- 51:20SPEAKER_01: I will this time.
- 51:22SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 51:23SPEAKER_01: Because I've done a couple drafts already so far, and Trey McBride has always fell compared to his ADP, which is why he has always been an intriguing pick in these drafts.
- 51:32SPEAKER_01: And sometimes, actually, one time I did end up scooping him up in the middle third round, so I felt like that was a great value pick, knowing he's fell that far.
- 51:41SPEAKER_01: I was still able to get my RBs, I was still able to get a wide receiver, picked up, of course, Trey McBride after that.
- 51:46SPEAKER_01: And I felt like my draft was completely solid.
- 51:48SPEAKER_01: Now, it only works if that scenario happens.
- 51:52SPEAKER_01: Like Nico said, RBs are just so valuable, you need to have them over the tight end position.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: And but I do think if there is a tight end that will return that value, it is somebody like Trey McBride.
- 52:04SPEAKER_01: I am a little bit more skeptical on Brock Bowers returning that value, more so than Trey McBride, which is why I would be a little bit more lenient towards that side, of course, than the other.
- 52:14SPEAKER_01: But of course, I still would prefer seeing him fall a little bit in the draft before I go ahead and scoop him up.
- 52:24SPEAKER_00: I I I think I think what's what what Nico is is selling more of is the cost, and and I think he's right.
- 52:33SPEAKER_00: You know, you don't want to pay up for that uh that high of a tight end on on offense that we think is gonna be better, uh, you know, or or still be, you know, one of those offenses that throws the ball a ton.
- 52:46SPEAKER_00: Look, uh, what we saw in the hall of fame game from Mike LaFleur, I will say that was a very well-played call, or well-called game from the offensive side.
- 52:54SPEAKER_00: But again, it's preseason, it's the Hall of Fame game.
- 52:58SPEAKER_00: That was like as that was the exhibition of all exhibitions.
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: It's the you know, it's it's just there to uh highlight the Hall of Famers that are being inducted.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: It's not there to necessarily highlight all the players, even though some of the players play well, but Trey McBride, I think um it's just really tough to get him right there.
- 53:16SPEAKER_00: You named off some players that are right in that wheelhouse, and I would take every one of them um before I would take Trey McBride, uh, or even consider taking Trey McBride.
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: So I I I think it's it's the cost thing that you're dealing with.
- 53:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's it's truthfully just cost for me to Natter's point.
- 53:33SPEAKER_03: I mean, if he dipped mid-third or even late third, um, I think that's a completely different story.
- 53:40SPEAKER_00: Um, and I think I think that I think that's I think that's gonna be a trend here.
- 53:44SPEAKER_00: Uh that that people you guys are gonna have to pay attention.
- 53:46SPEAKER_00: It's not yeah, some of these players are bust, but the trend is the cost that you got to pay for them.
- 53:52SPEAKER_00: Go ahead, Nico.
- 53:54SPEAKER_03: No, I mean you said it better better than uh I could.
- 53:58SPEAKER_03: So um let's see.
- 54:00SPEAKER_03: What about what about you, Natter?
- 54:01SPEAKER_03: Who's uh who's your first guy?
- 54:03SPEAKER_01: So Josh Jacobs is somebody that I have been actively avoiding in my redrafts, not specifically just because of the off-the-field news.
- 54:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, with the ADP of 27, uh him going up in age, usage, off-the-field issues, can he handle another huge workload season?
- 54:22SPEAKER_01: Uh it's it makes it difficult to sit there and justify his RB1 type season or his draft capital that you have to spend on him.
- 54:30SPEAKER_01: I'm definitely shifting my thoughts and my strategies away from him, knowing that hey, he might be suspended.
- 54:37SPEAKER_01: And if that's the case, then you would just have to move on from him and move to another player, especially in the running back position where you're paying a premium for that type of pick, just like Puka or any type of player that might be suspended.
- 54:48SPEAKER_01: You got to pivot away from him and go to somebody that's actually going to provide you fantasy value while not also having the risk.
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: And of course, at the end of the season, hurt on the you know, injured reserve, and but more importantly, his first I believe it was his first five games, he averaged 19 and a half fantasy points.
- 55:06SPEAKER_01: His last seven before getting hurt, he was averaging 11 and a half.
- 55:10SPEAKER_01: So he had a significant drop of fantasy production, not injury now.
- 55:15SPEAKER_01: Maybe he was a little bit injured, which attributed to it, but that had a significant drop-off, making it same like Kel, can he handle a season workload anymore?
- 55:23SPEAKER_01: Is his age catching up to him?
- 55:25SPEAKER_01: Is the injuries catching up to him?
- 55:27SPEAKER_01: And now, unfortunately, I'm gonna have to put him in the weak sauce category.
- 55:33SPEAKER_01: Weak sauce.
- 55:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, for me, my my weak sauce player is number one player is Justin Jefferson, guys.
- 55:41SPEAKER_00: And and again, this is that that cost that you got to pay.
- 55:43SPEAKER_00: He's in an eighth round, Nico.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: I know this is your guy, and I, you know, look, I love Justin Jefferson, I think he's a great player, but this is just one of those situations where it's Kyler Murray.
- 55:53SPEAKER_00: I'm excited about Kyler Murray, but then I'm also very cautious about Kyler Murray as well, because we've seen what he's done, maybe with not this many weapons, and that's another reason, too.
- 56:04SPEAKER_00: I know he locks in on a receiver or usually a tight end.
- 56:07SPEAKER_00: He locks in on those players, but they're gonna be they're gonna they have no choice but to give the ball, give the ball to some of these other guys like Jordan Addison, TJ Hawkinson, uh Juwan Jennings.
- 56:18SPEAKER_00: Like, I I think it's gonna not only be one of those situations where Justin Jefferson could get lost in the shuffle, he's always gonna be the top target.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: Okay, we get that.
- 56:26SPEAKER_00: And I think he can get eight, I think he can consistently get eight targets a game.
- 56:30SPEAKER_00: G Berg asked about Trey McBride.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: I think he consistently get it, but you got to work on the chemistry too.
- 56:36SPEAKER_00: The chemistry is gonna be different in game.
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: I think that you know, where you're getting Justin Jefferson, if you wait a little bit, you can get players like James Cook, CeeDee Lamb, Ashton Genty.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: Like these are all players that we all talked about in recent shows, if not even today's show, that I would all take over Justin Jefferson and be confident in those players.
- 56:56SPEAKER_00: Um, so that that's just the thing for me with Justin Jefferson.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: I think the price is just too high.
- 57:02SPEAKER_01: Um, he needs to dip down to the second round, and he's just not even the second round is sometimes might be too high for that.
- 57:10SPEAKER_01: Like yeah, why risk it?
- 57:13SPEAKER_01: Why it's risk to reward?
- 57:15SPEAKER_01: You're you're paying a first round premium, and the reward is what he provides you first round talent or first round production.
- 57:23SPEAKER_01: No, the reward isn't like the likeliness of him returning what you paid for him is not high.
- 57:28SPEAKER_01: So that makes it so you should avoid paying that cost.
- 57:31SPEAKER_01: Like it what has to go right for it to happen.
- 57:33SPEAKER_01: Kyler Murray has to play elite level better than he's ever played in his whole career.
- 57:38SPEAKER_01: If he did that, he'd still be on the Cardinals.
- 57:40SPEAKER_01: Uh, that offensive line has to be better, allowing him to move around in the pocket and be more than a one-read quarterback.
- 57:46SPEAKER_01: He isn't more than a one-read quarterback, he has a read, and if that's not there, scrambles.
- 57:51SPEAKER_01: And Justin Jefferson's route combination takes more time to develop because he's always going on posts, over routes, crossers, and all that type of good stuff.
- 57:59SPEAKER_01: So if he isn't able to get to Justin Jefferson's read target, then of course he's scrambling.
- 58:04SPEAKER_01: Uh, it's just no risk to reward.
- 58:07SPEAKER_01: Why stress yourself out to what people did last year?
- 58:10SPEAKER_01: They were almost considering not putting him in the starting lineup, and they only did specifically because of his drop capital.
- 58:15SPEAKER_01: It's gonna happen again this year.
- 58:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Nico, you got a number two player?
- 58:22SPEAKER_03: I do, I do.
- 58:23SPEAKER_03: I just want to close that out and say, like, no bias here.
- 58:26SPEAKER_03: Sure, like I totally get it.
- 58:27SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, you don't want to potentially waste your first round pick on that type of risk, but um, we can go into that a little bit more in another day.
- 58:37SPEAKER_03: Uh, my second player is Devon A-Chain.
- 58:40SPEAKER_03: Uh, he's currently going 18th overall.
- 58:42SPEAKER_03: Um, he is the RB9 in consensus rankings.
- 58:46SPEAKER_03: And I mean, this dude was extremely efficient in 2025.
- 58:50SPEAKER_03: He rushed for over 1,300 yards.
- 58:52SPEAKER_03: Um, he had a 5.7 yard per carry, which led the NFL, 12 touchdowns, but the entire ecosystem has completely changed.
- 59:01SPEAKER_03: Uh, Miami moved on from check down King uh to a Tugavailoa and Mike McDaniel.
- 59:07SPEAKER_03: Malik Willis is taking over with Tip's favorite um offense of mine, Kevin Patulo, who struggled to make something happen with an Eagles offense that had AJ Brown, Saquon Barkley, Jalen Hurts, Devontae Smith, to now really just Devon A chain and my and Malik Willis.
- 59:26SPEAKER_03: And that matters because A Chain's fantasy ceiling has never been just about rushing, it's been both the rushing and the receiving.
- 59:33SPEAKER_03: You know, he's had 85 plus targets over the last two seasons.
- 59:37SPEAKER_03: And Malik Willis, the most pass attempts he has made in a single game, albeit in 22 games played over four years, is 23 pass attempts.
- 59:47SPEAKER_03: And a mobile quarterback like Willis, he'll siphon check downs, designed running back targets, scramble down receptions, red zone rushing opportunities.
- 59:57SPEAKER_03: So similar to McBride, elite player, elite efficiency, just fading the environment.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_03: Do not draft him.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_03: I have him as my RB11, uh, and he's currently going as kind of like the RB8, RB9 right now in most consensus um rankings.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_01: Tip, what do you think?
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_00: I I I like it.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_00: Um, it's just it's one of those situations for me.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_00: Um, I just I don't I don't believe in the Miami Dolphins.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_00: So if I'm drafting Devon A-Chain, I'm just drafting him just off the sheer fact that I think he's gonna get a ton of work.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_00: And um, and in an offense with Kevin Petulo, Bobby Slowick, I just don't have confidence enough in that.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_00: Even if he gets you know 20 plus touches a game, I still just don't have it.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's so many stacked boxes he's gonna see.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: He could see 10 men in a box.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's it's gonna be crazy, man.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_00: They're just gonna stack the boxes to the it's it's just not gonna be pretty.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_00: And Devon Aching, who can't get around the corner quickly, I just don't think he's gonna have enough of it in him.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I think he's definitely a question.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I'm cutting you off because we're getting out of time here.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_04: But there is a quick question.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_04: It is uh, do you know how many Kyler and JJ stacks he has in best ball?
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_04: Tell me now.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_04: Do you agree with this, you guys?
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_04: Should we be stacking Kyler and JJ?
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_01: No, oh if you enjoy losing, yeah, sure, go for it.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_03: Listen, I love I love Kyler in fantasy.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, a lot of it has to do with the rushing upside, though.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_03: The biggest issue that I have with that specific stack is really just Justin Jefferson has never really been known as a you know TD king, if you will.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_03: I mean, the most he's ever had in a season is 10, and he's done it twice.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, he had only two last year, uh, five in 2023, albeit in 10 games.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_03: When I'm looking for the stack, I'm kind of looking for that home run of the passing plus the touchdown.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_03: But I do like Kyler from a fantasy standpoint.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_00: All right, let's breeze through these because we gotta see a tip.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, he disconnected on us.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_03: Damn.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_03: Later, he's like, I've had enough of this.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_03: Who's your second guy, Natter?
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_03: And then let's uh close this out.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, Chris Olave has got to be somebody that I don't really know how this happened.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_01: I don't really know how Chris Olave got this high on the ADP list, and he always like scratches my head on person that I really want.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_01: Um, and by really want, I mean I really don't want him.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_01: Injury concerns.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_01: How many concussions has he had?
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_01: How many concussions has he had in the same season?
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_01: Quarterback play, still a concern.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_01: We know we're we're over here saying Shaw is gonna be a phenomenal quarterback, like second year season, the sophomore slump, it's a real thing for a reason.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_01: It's going to have some downplay to it.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_01: Yes, his head coach has been good on the offensive side, but he also slumps after a while of continually QB play call like the offensive regression, his concussions, schedule.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_01: It makes it so like you sit there and think to yourself, why is Chris Olave so high?
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_01: And what like what happened that elevated his ADP?
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_01: Like it shouldn't have happened.
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_01: This is all pure hype, pure hype weeks offs.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_01: Don't draft him.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_01: Tip with your muted mic.
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_00: No, I I I I I like Chris Olave, but um we don't like so we're not gonna have enough time to actually keep going on rebuttaling on this one because we need to get to some of the other segments.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_00: But um, so what we'll do is we'll we'll bookmark this and we will come back too, uh, you know, as far as you know, what we're gonna rebuttal.
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_00: But I like forave.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_00: So um, Natter, you've given us your two.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_00: Nico, you gave us your two.
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna give you my guy, and it's George Kittle.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_00: I look, George Kittle, the whole situation with um the Achilles injury, first of all, and the way that George Kittle plays, he only knows how to play one way, and that's that's that's hard.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_00: And when he plays that way, it could be susceptible to more injuries.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_00: He loves to block, so you got to worry about that too.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_00: There may be games where he's even he's just in the blocking scheme, he's not gonna be out there catching passes.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_00: People are drafting him as the ninth tight end, and I just don't get it.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_00: I don't understand why.
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_00: It's him and it's it's Sam Laporta.
- 1:04:28SPEAKER_00: Those two guys, I just don't want any part of it.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_00: The tight ends, I know they carry great great names and great weight, but I just don't want any part of those players on my team.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_00: Um, but we're gonna go ahead and move to the next segment, which is actually catching up with Kelly, our Cardinals fan, our Cardinals resident Cardinals fan.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_00: Um, so Kelly, are you there?
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_04: I'm here.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_00: So each week, guys, Kelly actually gives us some inside information from Cardinals camps.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_00: Sometimes Kelly will attend and Kelly will tell us what she's so what have you heard of what's been going out there in Glendale this week, Kelly?
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's been really interesting.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_04: And at first, uh, as camp was getting started and we're seeing our very, very busy packed running back room, it was word on the street, BAM night probably is gonna be moved to the practice squad.
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_04: And I said, no.
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_04: And now it's coming to fruition that not bam night is at risk of moving to the practice squad, but the beloved Trey Benson is at risk of not making the starting roster.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_04: We are looking at um yeah, a running back room that would not include Trey McBride.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_04: Trey McBride.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh, it always includes Trey McBride, Trey Benson, and instead bam knight.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_04: And if you don't have Eyeballs.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_04: If you are not watching that game, Bam Knight, he is ready.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_04: He's gonna show everybody.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_04: It's not a flash in the pan.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_04: He filled in seamlessly last season, did lots of great work.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_04: Um, but if you know anything about the Cardinals running back room, whoever gets moved to the practice squad is gonna end up on this the main roster at some point or other during the season.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_04: Um, so there's that.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_03: Speaking of I still want I still want you to trade me try Trey Benson.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_03: Send him to me.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_04: We can trade Trey Benson.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_03: We need some youth um in our running back room.
- 1:06:41SPEAKER_03: And I mentioned this last Wednesday.
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_03: We'll we'll send you a little, you know, fourth round pick or something.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_04: I'll have my people call your people.
- 1:06:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, definitely.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_04: Um, I'm gonna run through this really quick because my topic two and three kind of run together.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_04: Jeremiah Love uh wanted to play in the Hall of Fame game.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_04: He thought he'd be playing in the Hall of Fame game, and he was not playing in the Hall of Fame game.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_04: This signals Jeremiah Love to be a starting running back, at least carrying split carries.
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_04: Um, there's gonna be a lot of that for sure, but it's looking like Jeremiah Love could end up being the RB1.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_04: Of course, they paid a lot of money for him.
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_04: There was a lot of draft capital spent.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_04: That doesn't mean he would start, but it's looking good.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_04: Speaking of starting, tip the Raiders are leading the charge by saying their starters are gonna play in the preseason game.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_04: And the Cardinals said, Hold my beer.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_04: So they're gonna start too.
- 1:07:53SPEAKER_04: We're gonna have a preseason game with starters, which is always really exciting.
- 1:07:58SPEAKER_04: How do you feel about that?
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_00: I think that is perfect, I think it's wonderful.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_00: And I even heard that the Bengals might be starting some of their players as well.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_00: And I think that I think that teams that are going nowhere, a la the Cardinals, my Raiders.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_00: Like, no, but but but we gotta see what they have.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_00: And I think a team like the Bengals, who have a lot of lot of lot of pressure riding on them this season and a lot of expectations, and they always get off to a slow start, they gotta start playing their starters because you do you want to get into mid-season form as soon as possible.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_00: You hear about teams like the Rams that are in mid-season form, Matthew Stafford is in mid-season form.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_00: Like, but you want to get to that level, and that's what you got to do.
- 1:08:41SPEAKER_00: So I think you play some of your starters, not the whole game, but you play a good if you get a if you have a bad series, hell, play another series.
- 1:08:49SPEAKER_00: Get a good series out of that.
- 1:08:51SPEAKER_00: Win, get on, get off uh, get get off the start off the season with on a win.
- 1:08:56SPEAKER_00: And if you get in a good series, a good solid series, maybe you score touchdown, maybe you get a field goal, but it's a good solid series, then okay, go ahead and sit your guys down.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_00: But that's what I I agree with.
- 1:09:07SPEAKER_00: I think it should be it should be it's good to see.
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_04: Here's the thing about the Cardinals, and we can wrap up on Cardinals corner with this, but it is uh even the very loud and very popular Pat McGaffee says to smash the over on three and a half.
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_04: In fact, it's not three and a half anymore, it's been raised, the lines are moving, and I think it's just because people were not expecting to see any type of competition coming out of this team, so it's kind of exciting.
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_03: Six points.
- 1:09:44SPEAKER_03: It was three and a half at one point.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_04: No way, it was three and a half, it was three and a half, it was over under three and a half because I put a bet in on it.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_04: And then Pat McAfee went on the air and said, smash the over.
- 1:09:57SPEAKER_02: Huh.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_04: And then we have uh James in the chat saying six and a half, and I was on another pod the other day running through, and with some of the injuries that we're seeing in some of these early matchups, the Cardinals really have a chance to squeeze in more wins.
- 1:10:13SPEAKER_04: So I got up to six.
- 1:10:17SPEAKER_04: I know that's optimistic, but that's uh you know what?
- 1:10:23SPEAKER_01: I think they can beat, I think they can get seven more than the Raiders, but I think they can get seven.
- 1:10:29SPEAKER_04: What you're being even more optimistic than I am, and I got I got to six.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_01: So the the the Cardinals always play their division tough.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_01: I think Scott Engle in the comments.
- 1:10:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, beating the nine.
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was just gonna say they'll probably be sweeping the Niners this year, honestly.
- 1:10:44SPEAKER_01: I don't know about they'll probably take one off the ramps, they always take one off the ramps, somehow they always do.
- 1:10:49SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, and uh after that, that's already like four wins.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_04: Oh, and then I gave them the first against the 49ers, but not the second, because I figured they'd be healed up by then.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_01: The Niners will have some other injury, they got their power station going on.
- 1:11:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, right now Nick Bosa is even hurt.
- 1:11:09SPEAKER_01: Uh I mean who isn't hurt on the Niners?
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_01: Like that that list is shorter than the people who are healthy on the Niners.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_01: It's crazy.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_01: That's something telling you that substance go crazy.
- 1:11:19SPEAKER_00: They shouldn't even play, bro.
- 1:11:21SPEAKER_00: They should just go in the meeting rooms and just get a game plan together and then just wait till the regular season to play, bro.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_00: Like they don't need to be on the like right now, crazy.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_00: They need to move, they need to move to a different uh move to Oakland.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_04: God well, that's all I've got for you guys this week.
- 1:11:41SPEAKER_04: I just found that so interesting, especially the flip between the love for Trey Benson and the love for Bam Knight.
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_04: Uh, if you're trying to find Bam Knight, you're not gonna find him under Bam.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_04: His name starts with a Z, and it's a Zonovan.
- 1:11:59SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't call him, I don't call him Bam because he had a fumble, which he recovered.
- 1:12:04SPEAKER_00: But you got you got just don't put that ball in the ground, Zonovan.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_03: Well, at least he ain't no uh emar uh demarcado dropping the floor.
- 1:12:13SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, you know what?
- 1:12:15SPEAKER_00: I like that guy, so yeah, Demarcado's good, but man, he had a blunder of a blunder.
- 1:12:21SPEAKER_01: Well, alrighty, man.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately, this is gonna have to wrap up this legendary episode.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_01: It was tons of fun talking.
- 1:12:27SPEAKER_01: Weak sauce, and of course, the hate or rate segment with you guys next week, though.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_01: Next week, let me tell you, you're gonna want to schedule this, of course, 6 p.m.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_01: Pacific Standard Time, 9 p.m.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_01: Eastern on Wednesdays.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_01: You're gonna want to be here live to join in on us because we're gonna be doing a live mock draft for everybody.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_01: And of course, you have the opportunity to join the mock draft.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_01: Of course, you could join the link that you're gonna see on our link tree at FF Space Pod.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_01: And of course, on Twitter, you're gonna have the opportunity to join it there.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_01: You're gonna want to, of course, if you want to join in on the draft and watch us roast your team.
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_01: Specifically, I'm looking at Jay Snow.
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_01: I know I'm gonna roast him so badly if he joins, it's gonna be a disaster.
- 1:13:09SPEAKER_01: But oh my even if Scott Angles, if Scott Engle joins, I'm gonna roast his team so badly if he does join.
- 1:13:14SPEAKER_01: He doesn't want to join.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_01: I already know he won't join, he won't do that.
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_01: He doesn't want the smoke on that one.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_00: But of course, we will put you to see sleep, bro.
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_00: You better stop.
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_00: Sleepers was last week.
- 1:13:24SPEAKER_01: I know, I know, deal, deal.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_01: But other than that, hey, you guys have any closing statements?
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_00: No, okay.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_01: Peace.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_04: Tight ends forever.
- 1:13:33SPEAKER_01: All right, good luck, everybody.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_00: Later.
- 1:13:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, there's a lot of money.
