- 0:02Speaker 1: Wake your ass up, fool.
- 0:04Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich.
- 0:06Speaker 3: What's crackin' like?
- 0:07Speaker 4: And this is the big boss dog, Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle.
- 0:10Speaker 5: Damn.
- 0:10Speaker 6: Boom.
- 0:11Speaker 7: What you gonna do?
- 0:11Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich.
- 0:13Speaker 3: We not talkin' about Ren 10-10. We not talkin' about Lassie.
- 0:16Speaker 8: It's the one and only dog, y'all.
- 0:17Speaker 3: The classiest Lassie. Big Snoopy Double Jizzle.
- 0:20Speaker 7: In your face to be and in the place to be.
- 0:22Speaker 3: And you're listenin' to John Jay and Rich.
- 0:24Speaker 9: Wake your ass up.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Rich, today is National Treat Yourself Day. That comes from
- 0:30Speaker 3: Parks and Rec, but, you know, treat yourself. It is also,
- 0:33Speaker 3: and I love this, National Kick Butt Day. Whatever you do,
- 0:37Speaker 3: kick butt. And on a more, you know, breast cancer
- 0:40Speaker 3: awareness level, it is National No Bra Day. So that
- 0:45Speaker 3: is tied to breast cancer awareness, so. I did not
- 0:48Speaker 3: wear a bra in today for that reason.
- 0:49Speaker 7: I actually saw that on the news over the weekend.
- 0:51Speaker 7: They were promoting it. I saw it on Saturday Night Live.
- 0:53Speaker 7: They were talking about it during their weekend update about
- 0:55Speaker 7: no bra day.
- 0:56Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 0:56Speaker 6: I think that's great.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Let him hang.
- 1:00Speaker 7: I've been saving something since March 31st, 2026. Wow. It
- 1:05Speaker 7: was an article that I read, and I had never
- 1:07Speaker 7: heard of this before. And I asked Rich about it,
- 1:09Speaker 7: and he knew about it. So I saved it. I said,
- 1:11Speaker 7: someday this will come up on the show. And then
- 1:13Speaker 7: Kyle brings it up. It's called meet-cutes. Like, I said
- 1:18Speaker 7: to Rich, what's a meet-cute? What is a meet-cute?
- 1:21Speaker 10: A meet-cute is like, it's like a cute story about
- 1:25Speaker 10: how you meet someone actually in public.
- 1:27Speaker 11: It's like the age-old rom-com of meeting this hot guy
- 1:31Speaker 11: in the produce department of.
- 1:32Speaker 10: A grocery store.
- 1:34Speaker 11: That's a meet cute, because that's the story, like a
- 1:36Speaker 11: cute story about how you met your significant other or
- 1:38Speaker 11: friend or coworker in public.
- 1:40Speaker 7: Do you have an article on that? Do you have
- 1:41Speaker 7: some information on it?
- 1:42Speaker 11: Yeah, so in Psychology Today, they did a piece saying
- 1:45Speaker 11: these were coming back because... A lot of people are
- 1:47Speaker 11: sick of the dating apps. They don't want to meet.
- 1:48Speaker 11: They actually want to have a meet cute. Like they
- 1:50Speaker 11: want to like, okay, I ran into this guy in
- 1:53Speaker 11: the coffee shop and we, we felt the chemistry.
- 1:55Speaker 10: We said, hello, we, the sparks flew and now we're dating.
- 1:58Speaker 7: Did you know what a meet queue was before that?
- 2:00Speaker 10: Not really.
- 2:00Speaker 12: Okay, yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 7: So I didn't know what that was.
- 2:02Speaker 13: No.
- 2:02Speaker 7: Because I have celebrity meet queues.
- 2:04Speaker 14: Oh, okay.
- 2:04Speaker 7: I love it. Okay, tell us more.
- 2:06Speaker 11: No, it was just like ideas that in the psychology
- 2:09Speaker 11: piece today, it was like ideas of like where you
- 2:11Speaker 11: could have potentially a meet queue, like the grocery store,
- 2:14Speaker 11: the gym, a coffee shop, airport. These are places that
- 2:17Speaker 11: people actually want to meet someone in real life rather
- 2:20Speaker 11: than just having your head down in an app and then,
- 2:22Speaker 11: you know, whatever. Because that way you feel the real
- 2:25Speaker 11: chemistry before. So it kind of, It kind.
- 2:28Speaker 10: Of skips a step.
- 2:29Speaker 11: On the dating app, you can see a person and
- 2:31Speaker 11: be somewhat attracted to them, but chemistry in person is
- 2:34Speaker 11: very different.
- 2:35Speaker 14: Totally.
- 2:35Speaker 7: Isn't it funny that that's a thing now? Because it
- 2:37Speaker 7: used to be, that's how you met.
- 2:38Speaker 11: Everything becomes full circle, right?
- 2:40Speaker 7: But because of technology, now the way we used to
- 2:44Speaker 7: be is a big deal.
- 2:45Speaker 11: But like, so then the article went on and said,
- 2:47Speaker 11: those are, you know, the coffee shop and stuff like that.
- 2:49Speaker 10: Those are great ideas.
- 2:50Speaker 11: But is it still okay to approach a stranger in public?
- 2:55Speaker 11: Because now people are so used to meeting people on
- 2:57Speaker 11: the apps and stuff like that.
- 2:58Speaker 10: They may be thrown off.
- 2:59Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I wouldn't hit the gym anymore.
- 3:01Speaker 10: They may not be ready for that.
- 3:02Speaker 3: That used to be cool, but I think it would
- 3:03Speaker 3: be weird now.
- 3:04Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 3: You met somebody at the gym and you like, because
- 3:06Speaker 3: you would seem like a creep.
- 3:08Speaker 7: You seem like a creep. Unless the only time it's
- 3:10Speaker 7: not creepy is if you're extremely handsome.
- 3:13Speaker 6: Then they're okay with it.
- 3:14Speaker 10: No, you're totally right.
- 3:14Speaker 7: They're really handsome. They're okay with the meet-cute, but if
- 3:17Speaker 7: you're not, right?
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah, just shut up and let me talk to you.
- 3:19Speaker 10: Yeah, and then it was like, you have to know
- 3:20Speaker 10: what places are off-limits.
- 3:22Speaker 7: Here are some celebrity meet-cutes. Lana Del Rey. Do you
- 3:24Speaker 7: guys know how she met her husband?
- 3:25Speaker 5: No.
- 3:25Speaker 6: Well, he's an alligator tour guide in Louisiana.
- 3:29Speaker 7: That's how they met.
- 3:30Speaker 14: Okay.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:30Speaker 7: Glanadori met her husband, Jeremy Dufresne, on a swamp tour
- 3:34Speaker 7: in Louisiana. He was the boat's captain and tour guide.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Oh, that's the best.
- 3:37Speaker 6: And he still does it. Like, when I went to
- 3:39Speaker 6: Mardi Gras back in February, we had him as our guy,
- 3:42Speaker 6: but it was raining, so we couldn't go.
- 3:44Speaker 7: Stanley Tucci. You know who Stanley Tucci is?
- 3:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 3: He's in everything.
- 3:48Speaker 7: Devil Wears Prada, Hunger Games. He met his now wife,
- 3:52Speaker 7: Felicity Blunt. at the wedding of her sister, Emily Blunt,
- 3:56Speaker 7: to John Krasinski.
- 3:57Speaker 10: That is a meet-cute.
- 3:58Speaker 7: It's a meet-cute.
- 3:59Speaker 6: In a lot of weddings.
- 4:01Speaker 7: Sarah Hyland. You know Sarah Hyland?
- 4:03Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 4:04Speaker 7: She's the daughter on Modern Family.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 7: She met her husband, Bachelor in Paradise, Wells Adams, on Twitter,
- 4:12Speaker 7: where she often posted about him.
- 4:14Speaker 10: She did.
- 4:15Speaker 7: And they got married in 2022.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Wells, he's a good one. He's still a good one.
- 4:19Speaker 10: I wonder if that's a meet-cute, though, because that's kind
- 4:21Speaker 10: of online.
- 4:22Speaker 7: It is. Well, it's on this article.
- 4:24Speaker 10: I mean, it is a cute way to meet.
- 4:25Speaker 3: She's a celebrity, so.
- 4:27Speaker 7: Well, here's another one then. Vanessa Hudgens, she met her
- 4:31Speaker 7: Major League Baseball star, Cole Tucker. They met in a
- 4:33Speaker 7: Zoom meditation group during the pandemic. Now they're married and
- 4:36Speaker 7: have two kids.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Oh, that's sweet.
- 4:38Speaker 6: They're super cute. I think they got married here.
- 4:40Speaker 7: Melissa Etheridge's wife, Linda Wellum, was a showrunner for the
- 4:44Speaker 7: TV show, that 80s show. When they met, Linda wanted
- 4:46Speaker 7: to cast Melissa on the show. It didn't work out,
- 4:48Speaker 7: but something else did. Matt Damon- Met his wife, Luciana.
- 4:53Speaker 7: This is a crazy story. Met his wife. She was
- 4:56Speaker 7: working at a club in Miami. He was running from
- 4:59Speaker 7: fans that recognized him on the streets, and he hid,
- 5:02Speaker 7: and she put him to work at the bar making drinks.
- 5:05Speaker 6: That's amazing.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Come on. That's great. That's a movie in itself, isn't it?
- 5:10Speaker 10: Make a Long Island tea, Matt Damon.
- 5:12Speaker 7: Here's a movie. Stephen Colbert. He flew back to his
- 5:14Speaker 7: hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, to decide whether he wanted
- 5:18Speaker 7: to marry his then-girlfriend. He went with his mother to
- 5:22Speaker 7: a musical, and at the after party, he met Evelyn McVie,
- 5:24Speaker 7: the woman he would eventually marry.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Aww.
- 5:26Speaker 3: With his mom, too. So she's probably like, that's a
- 5:29Speaker 3: good one. You need to lock that down.
- 5:30Speaker 13: Yeah, totally.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Moms know stuff.
- 5:32Speaker 7: That's a good little meet-cute. Like, Peyton, you met your
- 5:35Speaker 7: husband at a basketball game.
- 5:36Speaker 6: Yep, in a basketball gym. Kyle, you met.
- 5:39Speaker 7: Your husband here.
- 5:40Speaker 14: At work.
- 5:40Speaker 15: At work.
- 5:41Speaker 7: Rich, how'd you meet your wife?
- 5:42Speaker 3: I know it doesn't look like it, but I met
- 5:44Speaker 3: her at the gym. She said hello to me and
- 5:48Speaker 3: I fell off the treadmill.
- 5:49Speaker 6: What about you, John Jay? How did you and Blake meet?
- 5:53Speaker 7: I met her at a party. I had a broken leg.
- 5:57Speaker 7: I had a broken ankle and I had a cast
- 5:59Speaker 7: and my friend was driving. She goes, we're going to
- 6:01Speaker 7: a party because I got to stop at my friend's
- 6:02Speaker 7: house to pick up these jello shots. And it was
- 6:05Speaker 7: Blake's house. And she had all the jello shots.
- 6:07Speaker 6: She gives a jello shot girl vibe.
- 6:08Speaker 7: She had a tray of jello shots and I was
- 6:11Speaker 7: in the front seat and Blake just like threw them
- 6:12Speaker 7: in my lap. And then I went to the party
- 6:15Speaker 7: and Blake was there with a dude and they're like
- 6:16Speaker 7: making out. And I was like, what's up with that couple?
- 6:19Speaker 4: Aww. Aww.
- 6:19Speaker 12: Wow.
- 6:25Speaker 7: And then we ended up working together and she would
- 6:27Speaker 7: come over to my cubicle and complain about the guy
- 6:29Speaker 7: she was dating. I'll never forget. Here's the exact quote
- 6:31Speaker 7: from her. She'd be in my cubicle crying. Why are
- 6:33Speaker 7: you crying? She'd be like, because Alex and I, we
- 6:37Speaker 7: love each other. We want to be together. We just
- 6:39Speaker 7: can't be together. I was like, go in another cubicle. No,
- 6:41Speaker 7: I feel like that.
- 6:42Speaker 6: Might actually be a thing where it's like, because I,
- 6:45Speaker 6: when I met Kareem, The first time he was ever
- 6:49Speaker 6: around me, I was crying about my ex and complaining
- 6:51Speaker 6: to him. I had no idea who he was. I
- 6:52Speaker 6: was like, this sucks.
- 6:53Speaker 16: Who knew?
- 6:54Speaker 3: Who knew that was a way to get a guy?
- 6:56Speaker 6: I know, right? So that's all it is. Just if
- 6:58Speaker 6: you're interested in someone, just talk about your ex.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Complain about your current dude.
- 7:01Speaker 6: Complain about whoever it is.
- 7:02Speaker 10: You won't be friend-zoned for long.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Exactly. Would you see me?
- 7:06Speaker 6: It worked for John Jay.
- 7:06Speaker 7: It worked for me. If you got a cute meet
- 7:09Speaker 7: cute story or you met somebody in a very unique situation,
- 7:13Speaker 7: we'd like to hear about it. 877-937-1047. Microphone check.
- 7:17Speaker 10: Tap in and say what's up.
- 7:18Speaker 7: Check.
- 7:19Speaker 10: Open the free iHeartRadio app.
- 7:20Speaker 8: Tap the top back mic to send John Jay and
- 7:22Speaker 8: Rich a message now.
- 7:24Speaker 7: Hey, what's the vibe for horoscopes today?
- 7:26Speaker 6: I'm letting you know the little white lie that your
- 7:28Speaker 6: Zodiac sign tends to tell. If it's your birthday today,
- 7:31Speaker 6: we are in full-blown Libra season. You share a birthday
- 7:34Speaker 6: with Jimin, Caleb McLaughlin. Ashanti, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Jerry Rice, Jerry Jones,
- 7:40Speaker 6: and Kate Walsh. So lots of Libra birthdays today.
- 7:43Speaker 7: Oh, good. Actually, I think we have a Libra. Daryl,
- 7:45Speaker 7: are you a Libra? If I remember correctly, every year
- 7:48Speaker 7: you call Libra. Okay, so is Kyle.
- 7:50Speaker 6: Okay, so for my Libras, the little white lie that
- 7:54Speaker 6: you guys tend to tell, since we are in your
- 7:57Speaker 6: Zodiac season, you'll tell a friend like, oh my gosh,
- 7:59Speaker 6: I would love to come. Let me just check my schedule.
- 8:02Speaker 6: When in reality, you have zero, zero intention of leaving
- 8:05Speaker 6: your home.
- 8:06Speaker 7: Sounds like a Virgo trait to me.
- 8:08Speaker 3: The I'd love to come. Remember, we had a whole
- 8:10Speaker 3: meeting about the I'd love to. Yeah, that's true.
- 8:14Speaker 11: Maybe a little bit of Libra in your sun sign
- 8:17Speaker 11: or something like that.
- 8:19Speaker 6: I don't know the lore of the.
- 8:22Speaker 7: We had a boss that would say, I said, I'd
- 8:25Speaker 7: love to go, but I can't. He's like, well, you
- 8:27Speaker 7: just said you'd love to go. And I was like,
- 8:28Speaker 7: just because I I said I would I would love
- 8:31Speaker 7: to go. but I'm not going. But I would love to.
- 8:34Speaker 10: Hold on.
- 8:36Speaker 11: You just said, I would love to go. Not the
- 8:38Speaker 11: second part, but I can't. And then everyone was like, well,
- 8:41Speaker 11: John Jay's going. He said he would love to go.
- 8:43Speaker 11: And we're like, hold on a minute. That doesn't mean
- 8:46Speaker 11: he's actually going.
- 8:46Speaker 7: I wish I would love to go. I would love
- 8:49Speaker 7: to go.
- 8:50Speaker 10: That is John Jay saying, he's not going to go.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Okay, thank you for catching me up.
- 8:54Speaker 3: So I'm with you guys. That lasted two weeks.
- 8:57Speaker 7: Didn't it, Kyle?
- 8:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a long discussion.
- 9:02Speaker 7: All right, Darylyn, thanks for calling in. Thanks.
- 9:04Speaker 17: Love you guys.
- 9:05Speaker 13: Hi.
- 9:06Speaker 7: Chris, good morning. What's your sign?
- 9:08Speaker 14: Hi.
- 9:09Speaker 18: Taurus.
- 9:09Speaker 6: Okay, for my Taurus, the little white lie that you
- 9:12Speaker 6: guys tend to tell, you will tell people, I am
- 9:15Speaker 6: literally like so exhausted. I think I'm just going to
- 9:17Speaker 6: stay in tonight. When your real plan is, is that
- 9:19Speaker 6: you're already in your pajamas and eating pasta in bed.
- 9:22Speaker 3: That sounds amazing.
- 9:24Speaker 19: Yeah, that could be me. That sounds about right.
- 9:27Speaker 10: Exactly.
- 9:29Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 9:29Speaker 7: Thanks, Chris. How about Pisces?
- 9:31Speaker 6: Okay, Rich, the little white lie that you Pisces, you
- 9:35Speaker 6: tend to tell. You'll tell someone like, oh, I'm just
- 9:38Speaker 6: going to have like a super chill night in while
- 9:40Speaker 6: you're actually aggressively deep diving into a random ex's cousin's
- 9:44Speaker 6: wedding photos from like 2021. It's giving stalker vibes.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Everybody's got a little bit of that, don't they? Just
- 9:52Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 9:53Speaker 6: We all do it.
- 9:54Speaker 3: We all do it.
- 9:54Speaker 6: You're lying if you say you don't. I'm not.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I'm saying we all do a little bit.
- 9:58Speaker 7: How about Leo's?
- 9:59Speaker 13: I'm a Leo fan.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Us Leo's, the little white lie that we tend to tell.
- 10:03Speaker 6: We will say, oh, sorry, I haven't been on my
- 10:05Speaker 6: phone or like checked social media all day. While our
- 10:08Speaker 6: screen time report is already pushing six hours and it's
- 10:11Speaker 6: 8 a.m. We've like posted across three different apps. We
- 10:13Speaker 6: are up and we see your texts.
- 10:15Speaker 7: All right, how about Virgos?
- 10:16Speaker 6: John Jay, for you, for Virgos, the white lie that
- 10:19Speaker 6: you tell, you'll tell your coworkers, like, oh, I'm just
- 10:21Speaker 6: wrapping up a few last things. When you're sitting there
- 10:24Speaker 6: with your feet kicked up at your desk playing games
- 10:26Speaker 6: and scrolling on Instagram.
- 10:28Speaker 7: Scrolling for sure. All right, if we didn't get to
- 10:30Speaker 7: your sign there, I'll post it on our website, johnjayandrich.com.
- 10:42Speaker 7: I just learned something. I want to bounce this off
- 10:50Speaker 7: you guys. I think this is so interesting. And you
- 10:53Speaker 7: guys might be able to bring this up. And I'm
- 10:56Speaker 7: actually going to bring up a word that came up
- 10:58Speaker 7: last week and came up the week before. But here's
- 11:01Speaker 7: the thing. There's a post on Instagram going viral from
- 11:03Speaker 7: an account called Good Life. And it reveals the names
- 11:06Speaker 7: of things you didn't even know had names.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:09Speaker 7: For example, Octothorpe.
- 11:11Speaker 3: That's the hashtag.
- 11:12Speaker 7: That's the hashtag.
- 11:13Speaker 3: That's come up in our world a lot.
- 11:15Speaker 7: One came up last week and it came up the
- 11:16Speaker 7: week before.
- 11:16Speaker 10: Okay, but I forget what was that again.
- 11:18Speaker 7: The hashtag.
- 11:19Speaker 6: Oh, the hashtag.
- 11:20Speaker 10: I thought it was hashtag Octothorpe.
- 11:22Speaker 6: I was going to make.
- 11:23Speaker 3: A question for a minute to win it, but I'd
- 11:24Speaker 3: never even heard of it. So I was asking John
- 11:26Speaker 3: Jay if he'd even heard of it. So I didn't
- 11:28Speaker 3: use it.
- 11:29Speaker 7: All right, so if you could, I could almost turn
- 11:30Speaker 7: this into a game, but like, do you guys know
- 11:32Speaker 7: what druplets are?
- 11:34Speaker 3: Druplets?
- 11:35Speaker 7: Druplets? D-R-U-P-E-L-E-T-S. Druplets.
- 11:39Speaker 14: Nope.
- 11:39Speaker 10: Do not know.
- 11:40Speaker 7: They are the tiny little beads that make up a raspberry.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, that's so cute. They got a name?
- 11:47Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 11:47Speaker 6: Those are delicious.
- 11:48Speaker 7: This next one, I'm sure I've heard this before, and Kyle,
- 11:51Speaker 7: I bet you know what it is. The glabella.
- 11:54Speaker 10: I do not know.
- 11:55Speaker 7: Yes, you do. Yes, you do.
- 11:57Speaker 10: The Glowbella?
- 11:58Speaker 7: Glabella.
- 11:59Speaker 10: Glabella.
- 12:00Speaker 7: It's your angry 11s.
- 12:03Speaker 13: Oh.
- 12:03Speaker 7: The smooth area between the eyebrows.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Glabella.
- 12:06Speaker 7: Glabella.
- 12:09Speaker 13: Lunula.
- 12:10Speaker 7: Lunula.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I got a cousin named Lunula.
- 12:16Speaker 10: Those are your smile lines.
- 12:17Speaker 7: That's the pale half moon at the base of your nail.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Oh.
- 12:21Speaker 7: I hear that down here.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Oh.
- 12:25Speaker 14: Knurling.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Nope.
- 12:27Speaker 7: Unless the K is not silent. Knurling. K-N-U-R-L-I-N-G. It's the
- 12:34Speaker 7: crisscross texture on weight bars that help you grip.
- 12:37Speaker 3: That's got a name?
- 12:38Speaker 10: Hold on to the knurling.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Shocker. Oh, yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 7: Okay. Rasqueta. Rasqueta.
- 12:45Speaker 11: Is it like bruschetta, but with fruit?
- 12:49Speaker 7: No. Rasqueta. There are the creases across the inside of
- 12:53Speaker 7: your wrists. Right here.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Huh.
- 12:56Speaker 10: Why does it need a name? I guess I can't.
- 12:58Speaker 10: I guess.
- 13:00Speaker 14: Chad.
- 13:01Speaker 7: You guys know what Chad's are because it was all
- 13:02Speaker 7: over the news.
- 13:03Speaker 3: That's the voting thing. Is that what you're talking about
- 13:05Speaker 3: when you vote?
- 13:06Speaker 7: They're the paper cutouts made by a hole punch. Okay.
- 13:08Speaker 7: But if you're old enough to live through Gore versus Bush,
- 13:11Speaker 7: you'll definitely remember hanging Chad. So when you punch something
- 13:13Speaker 7: with a hole puncher, the little round circle that pops out,
- 13:15Speaker 7: that's a Chad.
- 13:16Speaker 10: What are you going as?
- 13:18Speaker 6: Oh, like I even need to ask.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Hey, I want the pumpkin to recognize me and she
- 13:22Speaker 3: knows me as a hanging Chad.
- 13:25Speaker 12: What?
- 13:26Speaker 7: She thought it was hilarious.
- 13:27Speaker 10: Yeah, years ago, but nobody remembers what the hell a
- 13:30Speaker 10: hanging Chad is.
- 13:32Speaker 20: What a sad commentary on our national attention span that
- 13:35Speaker 20: we could forget such a turbulent time in our political history.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Sad commentary.
- 13:41Speaker 7: What about Chalaza?
- 13:43Speaker 6: Chalaza? Cheese lasagna.
- 13:44Speaker 17: Chalaza.
- 13:46Speaker 7: So far, none of these have been like two words
- 13:48Speaker 7: put together to figure it out.
- 13:49Speaker 10: That could actually be cheese lasagna pizza.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Chalaza.
- 13:53Speaker 7: Chalaza is the white cord holding an egg yolks in place.
- 13:58Speaker 7: Some people call it the umbilical cord, but it is
- 14:00Speaker 7: the chalaza.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Wow.
- 14:02Speaker 3: I wonder if like you remove that for recipes or something.
- 14:05Speaker 7: I remember I saw a thing one time. There was
- 14:07Speaker 7: a name. I can't remember the name of it. Maybe
- 14:08Speaker 7: you guys remember the name of it. For this little
- 14:10Speaker 7: hard part of your shoestring.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Oh, and Aglet.
- 14:13Speaker 7: Aglet.
- 14:13Speaker 6: Yes, because the Aglet song from Phineas and Ferb.
- 14:16Speaker 7: Come on.
- 14:17Speaker 6: No one knows it.
- 14:18Speaker 8: I know he does.
- 14:19Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, he knows it.
- 14:20Speaker 14: Sing it.
- 14:21Speaker 19: Sing it.
- 14:22Speaker 6: It's like A-G-L-E-T.
- 14:25Speaker 7: Don't forget it.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Yes.
- 14:28Speaker 10: Yes, the Aglet song.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Yes.
- 14:33Speaker 9: Don't forget it A-G-L-E-T Don't forget it We're tying the
- 14:40Speaker 9: world together We're tying the world together We're gonna tie the.
- 14:48Speaker 21: World together We're gonna tie the world together Don't forget
- 14:56Speaker 21: it One word at a time.
- 14:59Speaker 11: You didn't forget it, so the song totally worked.
- 15:03Speaker 7: So those are just names for things you didn't know existed.
- 15:05Speaker 7: If you got any more, text us. Text JJR, whatever
- 15:08Speaker 7: it is that has a name, to 96893. It's spooky season.
- 15:14Speaker 7: We want to know about the time you faced your fear.
- 15:17Speaker 7: What were you scared about? And you're like, I'm tackling
- 15:19Speaker 7: this head on. Lexi, what about you? What is something
- 15:22Speaker 7: you faced your fear? What'd you do?
- 15:23Speaker 13: Okay.
- 15:24Speaker 17: Well, I've always been terrified of haunted houses. And my
- 15:29Speaker 17: friends convinced me to go through one, and it was
- 15:32Speaker 17: supposed to be the scariest in the state. And I
- 15:35Speaker 17: decided to be brave, so I walked in completely unfazed.
- 15:39Speaker 17: And about five minutes in, a guy dressed as a
- 15:43Speaker 17: chainsaw killer jumped out, and I punched him directly.
- 15:47Speaker 6: In the face.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 15:48Speaker 14: Oh, no.
- 15:49Speaker 3: What are you supposed to do? You're just reacting.
- 15:51Speaker 10: You faced your fear and your fear came true.
- 15:53Speaker 22: Yeah, pretty much.
- 15:54Speaker 17: And he dropped to the ground and the chainsaw went flying.
- 15:59Speaker 17: And suddenly the entire haunted house stopped. And it turned
- 16:03Speaker 17: out it was literally his first day on the job.
- 16:05Speaker 6: Oh, poor guy.
- 16:06Speaker 7: He got too close.
- 16:07Speaker 6: I'm out on this scare acting thing.
- 16:09Speaker 7: Oh, my God. Okay, that's great. This is great. Hey, Michelle,
- 16:12Speaker 7: good morning. Tell us about the time you directly faced
- 16:14Speaker 7: your fear.
- 16:15Speaker 13: Yeah, so my biggest fear was heights, and it just
- 16:18Speaker 13: so happened that I saw a video on Facebook saying
- 16:21Speaker 13: that things you should do before you die, and one
- 16:23Speaker 13: was face your fear. So I went on Groupon, and
- 16:26Speaker 13: I booked a skydiving.
- 16:28Speaker 7: Whoa, my God.
- 16:29Speaker 13: That's the ultimate.
- 16:31Speaker 12: Oh, my God.
- 16:31Speaker 13: I used up all my energy flying up there, and
- 16:34Speaker 13: it was not nearly as bad as my mind made it,
- 16:37Speaker 13: and I felt.
- 16:39Speaker 13: Amazing after I grew so much after that jump yeah
- 16:43Speaker 13: it was amazing that's.
- 16:44Speaker 7: Great I want to do it again congratulations I had
- 16:46Speaker 7: this theory I made up a long time ago where
- 16:49Speaker 7: I was like if you can parachute out of an
- 16:50Speaker 7: airplane I think you can do anything in life you
- 16:53Speaker 7: can just accomplish anything because I think that's crazy Well.
- 16:57Speaker 13: I used to think that you feel the adrenaline from
- 16:59Speaker 13: coming down. You know, like when you get on rides,
- 17:01Speaker 13: like the drop zone, you don't feel that. And that's
- 17:04Speaker 13: what I was like mostly scared of, too. And then
- 17:06Speaker 13: you don't feel the parachute yank you.
- 17:08Speaker 19: I thought it would like.
- 17:09Speaker 13: Yank you really ugly.
- 17:10Speaker 3: And no, it doesn't really good.
- 17:13Speaker 13: No, it doesn't.
- 17:14Speaker 6: See, I find it, like, fascinating.
- 17:16Speaker 19: I just landed on my butt, and yeah.
- 17:19Speaker 6: It's crazy that you would, like, want to do that again.
- 17:21Speaker 6: I just feel like the more you go skydiving, like,
- 17:24Speaker 6: the more, like, your chances and your probability. Yeah, like,
- 17:28Speaker 6: I just, I feel like if I completed one, I
- 17:30Speaker 6: would be done forever.
- 17:30Speaker 11: It is, like, a total rush, though. Like, you get down, like,
- 17:33Speaker 11: I did it in college, and I... I think if
- 17:35Speaker 11: I didn't have kids, I would do it again.
- 17:38Speaker 10: Just in case.
- 17:38Speaker 13: Well, I went on for the second time. Someone invited me.
- 17:41Speaker 13: They bought me tickets.
- 17:42Speaker 19: And we were up there on the plane and we
- 17:44Speaker 19: were about to jump off.
- 17:46Speaker 13: Like we were strapped onto our instructors and they called
- 17:49Speaker 13: that the wind picked up too much and we all
- 17:51Speaker 13: had to land on the plane, which was so scary.
- 17:54Speaker 13: But we couldn't jump. Like if we would have jumped,
- 17:57Speaker 13: if it would have been like one minute too soon,
- 17:59Speaker 13: God knows what could have happened.
- 18:01Speaker 19: Because when I was driving out of there, I got
- 18:03Speaker 19: stuck in a sandstorm. Like I couldn't see.
- 18:05Speaker 14: Anything.
- 18:05Speaker 19: It was so bad.
- 18:07Speaker 10: Oh, you had some angels watching over you that day.
- 18:09Speaker 7: Kyle, when you did it, did you land on your butt?
- 18:11Speaker 10: No, we kind of ran.
- 18:14Speaker 11: You get down and then you move your legs.
- 18:17Speaker 7: Michelle, thanks for calling in.
- 18:19Speaker 13: Yeah, thank you guys.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Bye.
- 18:21Speaker 7: Alana, the time you faced your fear, what was it?
- 18:24Speaker 7: What happened?
- 18:26Speaker 23: Well, I'm very terrified of dogs, specifically big dogs. My
- 18:32Speaker 23: boyfriend has this enormous German Shepherd And so I decided
- 18:37Speaker 23: I was going to face it. So I sat on
- 18:40Speaker 23: the floor and like let the dog come over to
- 18:42Speaker 23: me and he sniffed me and like licked my hand
- 18:45Speaker 23: and eventually it was really cute. He put his head
- 18:48Speaker 23: in my lap. And I was actually feeling really proud
- 18:52Speaker 23: of myself until he suddenly stood up and he grabbed my, like,
- 18:57Speaker 23: lace panties off the laundry pile and ran through the
- 19:02Speaker 23: living room with them. And his entire family was there
- 19:04Speaker 23: at the time. So needless to say, I mean, I
- 19:09Speaker 23: conquered my fear of the dog, but I immediately developed
- 19:12Speaker 23: a new fear of what his family's group chat was
- 19:15Speaker 23: going to say.
- 19:16Speaker 6: That's funny.
- 19:19Speaker 7: That's hilarious. You guys sit there and they see your
- 19:23Speaker 7: sexy underwear and you try to take it out of
- 19:25Speaker 7: the dog's mouth. That is terrible. It's simple, but it's terrible.
- 19:29Speaker 7: I get it.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Wow.
- 19:29Speaker 7: All right, Alana. Thank you for calling in.
- 19:32Speaker 23: Thank you. You guys.
- 19:36Speaker 17: Are great.
- 19:38Speaker 7: Time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks of information.
- 19:41Speaker 7: Rich has life hacks. When my wife and I first
- 19:43Speaker 7: got married, we had a couple of dogs and they
- 19:46Speaker 7: slept in bed with us. And I thought it messed
- 19:48Speaker 7: up my sleep all the time, right? I had a
- 19:49Speaker 7: dog sleep between my legs. I had a little dog
- 19:51Speaker 7: under my armpit. It was a big pain. Now, apparently,
- 19:53Speaker 7: according to this research, dogs are not ruining your sleep.
- 19:58Speaker 7: You are ruining theirs. Researchers strapped fitness trackers onto humans
- 20:03Speaker 7: and dogs to measure who tossed and turned the most,
- 20:05Speaker 7: and the dog owner moved first most of the time.
- 20:09Speaker 3: That doesn't seem right to me.
- 20:11Speaker 10: It totally seems right.
- 20:12Speaker 11: I feel like our dog, Poppy, she'll sleep at my feet,
- 20:15Speaker 11: but I don't keep my feet in the same spot
- 20:18Speaker 11: every time, so I'm sure of it.
- 20:19Speaker 10: I wake her up in the middle of the night.
- 20:20Speaker 7: You wake her. She's all pissed off and grumpy.
- 20:22Speaker 10: She moves underneath the bed.
- 20:23Speaker 7: She's got a 60 sleep score because Kyle's kicking her
- 20:26Speaker 7: with her feet.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Her little aura paw is all messed up.
- 20:29Speaker 7: And this is big news for a lot of Rich's
- 20:31Speaker 7: press photos. Word has it that Frosted Tips are back.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yay!
- 20:36Speaker 7: They say it may have started as a byproduct by
- 20:38Speaker 7: buzz and bleach craze. Someone gets a buzz cut, bleaches it,
- 20:41Speaker 7: and then it grows out, becomes Frosted Tips.
- 20:43Speaker 6: A lot of, like, the baseball players or football players
- 20:45Speaker 6: will do that during the state playoffs, and they all have, like,
- 20:48Speaker 6: the blonde hair, so that makes sense.
- 20:50Speaker 7: I've done that before, and I do like it.
- 20:51Speaker 6: It's like the roots are coming in.
- 20:52Speaker 7: All right, so I don't know if you guys have
- 20:54Speaker 7: seen this problem, and I can't believe it's in the news.
- 20:56Speaker 13: No.
- 20:58Speaker 7: But have you noticed that Hire by Creed keeps getting
- 21:02Speaker 7: recommended for your Instagram stories?
- 21:03Speaker 3: No, it doesn't. I have not.
- 21:07Speaker 7: If you have seen that, you're not crazy and you're
- 21:09Speaker 7: not alone. Instagram would like to apologize. There's been a
- 21:11Speaker 7: glitch in their system. For whatever reason, it recommends the
- 21:14Speaker 7: song regardless of what's being posted or the user's activity
- 21:17Speaker 7: on the app. People even wondered if Creed made some
- 21:19Speaker 7: sort of deal with Meta to get the song promoted,
- 21:22Speaker 7: but it's not the case. A spokesman for Instagram said...
- 21:24Speaker 7: We looked into it. We found out this song is
- 21:26Speaker 7: being recommended to more people than intended. We are continuing
- 21:28Speaker 7: to investigate.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Oops.
- 21:34Speaker 7: I have it. You guys know the song.
- 21:35Speaker 10: I can't think of it.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Can you take me higher?
- 21:40Speaker 24: Oh, yeah.
- 21:41Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 21:45Speaker 19: That's funny.
- 21:46Speaker 7: More singles are, and you brought, somebody brought this up
- 21:49Speaker 7: last week, but more single people are swapping dinner and
- 21:51Speaker 7: drinks for breakfast and coffee dates. They say breakfast dates
- 21:54Speaker 7: feel less stressful, more affordable, and they leave room for
- 21:57Speaker 7: the date to continue if things go well. I like
- 21:59Speaker 7: the other way it came up on our show to
- 22:00Speaker 7: make it because it's shorter.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:02Speaker 7: That's true.
- 22:02Speaker 3: And coffee, that's like a 15 minute commitment.
- 22:04Speaker 7: You could be gone.
- 22:05Speaker 6: I remember in high school, I went on a date
- 22:07Speaker 6: with a guy and he asked me to go to breakfast.
- 22:09Speaker 6: And I remember being like, what? I think I like that.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Did you go?
- 22:13Speaker 6: It was different, yeah. It was actually a really nice date.
- 22:14Speaker 6: He was a really nice guy. I wonder what he's
- 22:16Speaker 6: up to.
- 22:16Speaker 7: A U.S. citizen was stopped at Miami airport on Sunday
- 22:19Speaker 7: after officers noticed he had an unexplainable bulge at his waist.
- 22:23Speaker 7: Turns out he had 10 live birds tucked in his underwear.
- 22:26Speaker 6: Oh, what? Unexplainable? Okay. You knew what was going on
- 22:29Speaker 6: down there.
- 22:30Speaker 25: That is so uncomfortable.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Their little beaks.
- 22:32Speaker 5: Ow.
- 22:33Speaker 7: Google shared a bunch of data to help people figure
- 22:35Speaker 7: out when they should book their holiday travel to get
- 22:37Speaker 7: the best deals. For Thanksgiving, Google found that prices are
- 22:40Speaker 7: lowest 34 days beforehand, which is October 23rd.
- 22:43Speaker 12: Let's go.
- 22:44Speaker 3: We got to go now.
- 22:44Speaker 7: Christmas, prices are lowest 56 days before the holiday, which
- 22:48Speaker 7: is October 30th. The company dug into Google to find
- 22:52Speaker 7: Google Trends to find out which is the most popular
- 22:55Speaker 7: Halloween costumes in every state. And apparently, everyone's stuck on
- 22:58Speaker 7: just boring classic stuff. Mermaid is the most popular. It's
- 23:02Speaker 7: number one in seven states. Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Florida, Louisiana, Hawaii. Dinosaur,
- 23:07Speaker 7: number one in six states. A bat is number one
- 23:10Speaker 7: in six states. Monster is number one. Skeleton, number one.
- 23:15Speaker 7: Princess is number one. Angel is number one in three states.
- 23:19Speaker 7: And alien is also number one in three states. Oh,
- 23:21Speaker 7: that'd be cool. And Oklahoma didn't get the message. Their
- 23:25Speaker 7: number one Halloween costume is candy corn. Rich, what do
- 23:30Speaker 7: you got for Life Hacks?
- 23:31Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know if you guys know this, but
- 23:33Speaker 3: it is shock season. Kyle, you've heard me talk about
- 23:36Speaker 3: it all the time. The static shock. The static shock.
- 23:40Speaker 3: And what happens is when you touch metal. But I've
- 23:43Speaker 3: got a hack for you.
- 23:44Speaker 7: He talks about it all the time.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Especially because I'll say that the whole thing went sideways.
- 23:50Speaker 3: It was a static shock. In fact, we have a
- 23:52Speaker 3: whole rug underneath here to help me from not getting
- 23:54Speaker 3: static electricity. Well, here is the trick. And it is
- 23:58Speaker 3: your house key. Because if you, let's say, touch metal
- 24:02Speaker 3: to metal, then the metal absorbs the shock and it
- 24:04Speaker 3: doesn't go, it doesn't hit your person. So instead of
- 24:08Speaker 3: you touching your car door first, make sure that you've
- 24:11Speaker 3: got like a house key or a car key that
- 24:13Speaker 3: you touch the metal on the metal and you will
- 24:15Speaker 3: save yourself static electricity shock all this year. Shopping carts,
- 24:20Speaker 3: car doors, the door to like the studio right here,
- 24:23Speaker 3: that's metal too. Touch the metal on metal, you'll save yourself.
- 24:26Speaker 3: That hack can be found at johnjainrich.com.
- 24:29Speaker 7: All right, we're getting ready for second date update. Ethan,
- 24:31Speaker 7: good morning. What's going on in your dating world?
- 24:34Speaker 4: I thought I just had one of the best first
- 24:36Speaker 4: dates of my life, and now.
- 24:38Speaker 25: She's not even getting back to me.
- 24:40Speaker 7: Ooh, man, can't wait to hear about this date. All right,
- 24:42Speaker 7: hang tight. Second date update starts.
- 24:44Speaker 17: Next with John J.
- 24:45Speaker 4: Rich.
- 24:52Speaker 13: The next segment we're going to do is called Second
- 24:55Speaker 13: Date Update because that's what we're going to try and get,
- 24:57Speaker 13: and that's what the bit is called.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Second Date Update starts right now on John Jay and Rich.
- 25:03Speaker 7: All right, time for Second Date Update. You meet somebody,
- 25:05Speaker 7: you go on a date, you have a good time,
- 25:06Speaker 7: you expect there to be a second date. It doesn't happen.
- 25:09Speaker 7: You don't know why, so you come to us. We're
- 25:10Speaker 7: going to find out for you. Let's say hello to Ethan.
- 25:14Speaker 7: Good morning, Ethan. You're on the air. Second Date Update,
- 25:16Speaker 7: John Jay and Rich.
- 25:17Speaker 10: Good morning.
- 25:18Speaker 14: How are you guys? Good.
- 25:19Speaker 7: What's your story? What happened?
- 25:21Speaker 17: Um.
- 25:22Speaker 7: I just met this girl on Hinge.
- 25:25Speaker 14: Her name's Bella. Great name. She looks great. I don't know.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Maybe sometimes I can come on a little strong. I
- 25:34Speaker 4: didn't think so. Again, I just really don't know. All
- 25:38Speaker 4: the vibes I were getting were like, okay, she's feeling it.
- 25:44Speaker 4: And I don't know what changed.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Hold on. You're kind of giving us bullet points out
- 25:51Speaker 3: of order. So if you feel like you came on
- 25:54Speaker 3: too strong, tell us what that is, because that might
- 25:57Speaker 3: be the answer right there.
- 25:58Speaker 4: I mean, we definitely had more than just surface level,
- 26:01Speaker 4: just kind of like talking like, you know, what do
- 26:04Speaker 4: you do? But like also, well, what do you want
- 26:06Speaker 4: to do in life? We know where would you like
- 26:09Speaker 4: to be? And, you know, what's a dream vacation like
- 26:13Speaker 4: those types of things. So more personality based questions than just,
- 26:17Speaker 4: you know, do you have any siblings? Where are you from?
- 26:20Speaker 14: That sort of thing.
- 26:21Speaker 3: So no kiss goodnight.
- 26:23Speaker 12: No kiss, a hug.
- 26:25Speaker 6: Was it like a full frontal hug or a side hug?
- 26:29Speaker 4: Again, I'm overeager.
- 26:31Speaker 7: I got a full frontal hug. Are we going to
- 26:33Speaker 7: get her on the phone and she's going to say
- 26:34Speaker 7: you brought up a bunch of stuff like did you
- 26:36Speaker 7: have a strong opinion about the Cornell 7? Did you
- 26:40Speaker 7: bring up ICE? Did you bring up the election that's
- 26:44Speaker 7: coming up? Did you bring up the COVID vaccine? Are
- 26:47Speaker 7: we going to get her on the phone and she's
- 26:49Speaker 7: going to say he did this, this, and this?
- 26:50Speaker 26: Yes, no?
- 26:51Speaker 12: You're going to be like, oh, I left that out.
- 26:54Speaker 4: I mean, I don't want to say no to any
- 26:58Speaker 4: of those things.
- 26:59Speaker 7: I'm like, so yes?
- 27:01Speaker 3: So yes?
- 27:02Speaker 7: So somewhere around there, I'm guessing, he brought up something
- 27:05Speaker 7: that she's not so part of.
- 27:06Speaker 6: We're about to find out that Bella, like, hates this man.
- 27:09Speaker 7: Yeah, all right, all right. It's okay.
- 27:12Speaker 4: But I want to make sure we're on the same, like, wavelength,
- 27:14Speaker 4: you know?
- 27:14Speaker 7: Okay, we're going to get her on the phone. We're
- 27:16Speaker 7: going to find out why she's blowing you off, all right?
- 27:18Speaker 12: Okay.
- 27:18Speaker 7: All right, so hang tight. Second Aid Update continues next
- 27:21Speaker 7: with John Jane Rich. In the middle of Second Aid Update,
- 27:37Speaker 7: you got Ethan who went on a date with Bella.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Well, Ethan says he has questions. He met Bella on Hinge.
- 27:44Speaker 3: And he says that he thought the date went excellent.
- 27:47Speaker 3: He asked all the right questions. But maybe did he
- 27:50Speaker 3: ask too many questions? Did he give his stance on
- 27:53Speaker 3: immigration and ICE? Maybe him being an eager beaver got
- 27:58Speaker 3: him nothing but a wall. Let's find out.
- 28:01Speaker 7: All right, Ethan, you ready?
- 28:02Speaker 4: I guess so.
- 28:04Speaker 7: Okay, you stay quiet. Bella's agreed to jump on the
- 28:06Speaker 7: air with us really quick, so hold on. Good morning, Bella. Hey,
- 28:09Speaker 7: so we're calling you. Thanks for jumping on there with us.
- 28:11Speaker 7: We're calling you because we got a phone call from
- 28:13Speaker 7: a guy who went on a date with you. And
- 28:16Speaker 7: he was sharing with us that he feels like he's
- 28:18Speaker 7: getting ghosted. And we told him that we would find
- 28:21Speaker 7: out why he's getting ghosted. If you don't mind talking
- 28:24Speaker 7: about a guy named Ethan.
- 28:25Speaker 14: Oh, I remember.
- 28:28Speaker 25: That doesn't sound great.
- 28:31Speaker 6: I was like, you don't seem very sold on him.
- 28:36Speaker 25: I've, let's just say, I've been having nightmares.
- 28:40Speaker 19: About this man's vocal cords.
- 28:43Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 28:47Speaker 25: So, he basically held me hostage at a one-man concert
- 28:51Speaker 25: in his Honda Civic.
- 28:53Speaker 10: What?
- 28:56Speaker 7: He held you hostage?
- 28:57Speaker 6: He wouldn't let you out?
- 28:59Speaker 18: Yes, he held me hostage. He gets in his car.
- 29:02Speaker 25: Connects his Bluetooth and looks me dead in the eyes
- 29:06Speaker 25: and says, this one is for you.
- 29:10Speaker 19: And then starts belting out All of.
- 29:13Speaker 25: Me by John Legend. And he's like on the top
- 29:18Speaker 25: of his lungs singing this.
- 29:19Speaker 7: Song to me.
- 29:20Speaker 25: It was the instrumental version playing. It wasn't the actual song.
- 29:25Speaker 10: It was karaoke.
- 29:27Speaker 25: Tolerate the song and everything. Because, you know, John Legend
- 29:30Speaker 25: has an amazing voice.
- 29:32Speaker 14: Right.
- 29:34Speaker 18: Ethan does not.
- 29:35Speaker 14: I guess he does.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Come out a little strong.
- 29:38Speaker 19: I mean, like, veins popping out of his neck.
- 29:40Speaker 10: Oh, he was getting into it.
- 29:42Speaker 13: Like, really into it.
- 29:44Speaker 16: Not reading my cues at all.
- 29:47Speaker 26: Feeling so awkward.
- 29:49Speaker 19: And we were at a red light.
- 29:52Speaker 12: Of all places.
- 29:55Speaker 3: And he wasn't trying to be funny.
- 29:56Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 29:58Speaker 19: No, he was being real serious.
- 30:00Speaker 12: Like, real, real serious.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Being funny, that could be hilarious.
- 30:02Speaker 7: That would be funny.
- 30:03Speaker 10: That could be funny.
- 30:04Speaker 3: It's like if you hold hands and he starts singing
- 30:06Speaker 3: at you. Like, that could be really funny.
- 30:09Speaker 18: Well, actually, he did grab my hand.
- 30:11Speaker 5: Oh.
- 30:11Speaker 7: So you had a red light.
- 30:12Speaker 10: He was being funny.
- 30:13Speaker 3: But not on purpose funny.
- 30:14Speaker 18: And he started singing. But then he started singing, like,
- 30:17Speaker 18: all of your perfect imperfections.
- 30:19Speaker 22: Like, he was staring into my soul.
- 30:21Speaker 25: And I was just like, sir, we met on Hinge
- 30:24Speaker 25: three days ago. And why am I getting serenaded like I'm... dying.
- 30:29Speaker 12: In a romantic movie.
- 30:31Speaker 25: And then the light turns green.
- 30:34Speaker 18: People are honking at us because he's not moving.
- 30:37Speaker 10: He's got to get to the good part.
- 30:38Speaker 18: So once the song was over and everything, he starts
- 30:43Speaker 18: moving and then he starts singing again.
- 30:48Speaker 25: He tried to ask the waiter if there was a microphone.
- 30:52Speaker 27: Because he wanted to dedicate a song to his future wife.
- 30:58Speaker 10: It's a bit much.
- 30:58Speaker 3: You don't know? She could have been there.
- 31:01Speaker 6: We said pushy, and that is exactly it.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:04Speaker 20: He was talking about me being his future wife, and
- 31:07Speaker 20: now he's just freaking me out. Like, sir, I don't
- 31:10Speaker 20: even know your middle name.
- 31:12Speaker 19: Like, are you kidding me?
- 31:16Speaker 7: Wait, what?
- 31:19Speaker 4: I set this whole thing up with John Jay and Rich.
- 31:23Speaker 14: Sorry about that.
- 31:23Speaker 4: But I genuinely thought we had a good time.
- 31:26Speaker 7: It sounds like.
- 31:27Speaker 28: There were some good times in there for you.
- 31:30Speaker 19: I wanted to see you again.
- 31:31Speaker 7: Like, what do you think?
- 31:32Speaker 14: What?
- 31:33Speaker 26: Oh, my God.
- 31:35Speaker 5: No way, Ethan.
- 31:37Speaker 18: You're on the phone?
- 31:41Speaker 4: Yes, but, like, I feel like you liked it when
- 31:43Speaker 4: I sang to you.
- 31:45Speaker 10: But she just said she didn't.
- 31:46Speaker 5: What?
- 31:47Speaker 13: She just said she didn't.
- 31:48Speaker 18: I was laughing because I was so uncomfortable.
- 31:51Speaker 17: I didn't know what else to do.
- 31:52Speaker 18: Like, you literally said, like, oh, wow, you have a
- 31:55Speaker 18: really good voice.
- 31:56Speaker 25: What?
- 31:57Speaker 10: Did she say jazz like that?
- 31:58Speaker 6: Oh, God.
- 32:00Speaker 3: I mean, we'd like to hear if you have a
- 32:04Speaker 3: good voice.
- 32:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:06Speaker 12: I do.
- 32:08Speaker 20: Drawing me in and you kicking me out.
- 32:12Speaker 1: You got my head spinning.
- 32:15Speaker 8: No kidding. I can't.
- 32:18Speaker 17: Continue down.
- 32:20Speaker 12: Now.
- 32:21Speaker 7: It's a good song. No, it was good. It was
- 32:23Speaker 7: pretty good, dude.
- 32:24Speaker 6: It was a little pitchy.
- 32:25Speaker 7: I don't think I need you staring at me singing it.
- 32:28Speaker 10: Intensely.
- 32:28Speaker 23: Right.
- 32:29Speaker 3: In a very tiny Honda Civic.
- 32:32Speaker 6: That's awesome.
- 32:32Speaker 17: I mean, okay, so.
- 32:33Speaker 4: It's an intimate Honda Civic.
- 32:35Speaker 11: But Ethan, were you like seriously trying to be romantic
- 32:38Speaker 11: or were you trying to be playful and funny?
- 32:41Speaker 4: I was trying to be romantic.
- 32:43Speaker 19: I thought girls liked.
- 32:44Speaker 7: That kind of stuff.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Like I was being like sincere and like.
- 32:48Speaker 14: Intent is the wrong word.
- 32:50Speaker 6: Kyle gave you your out, though. She gave you the
- 32:53Speaker 6: out to say that you were just joking and having
- 32:55Speaker 6: a good time.
- 32:56Speaker 3: He can't read the hatchback.
- 32:58Speaker 7: So far, I don't think you're a bad singer. Do
- 33:00Speaker 7: you sing professionally or something?
- 33:02Speaker 4: I'm in a choir at my church.
- 33:06Speaker 7: A church band or a wedding band? I mean, you
- 33:08Speaker 7: can sing.
- 33:08Speaker 11: The thing is, Ethan, you seem like a really nice guy.
- 33:12Speaker 10: And you are right.
- 33:13Speaker 11: Like sometimes you said you could be accused of coming
- 33:16Speaker 11: on a little too strong.
- 33:16Speaker 10: This could be maybe considered part of that.
- 33:19Speaker 7: What's another song you sing to people when you're trying
- 33:21Speaker 7: to be romantic besides All of Me by Jack?
- 33:26Speaker 4: It depends on the person. So I was like Bella,
- 33:29Speaker 4: like I was feeling that song for you.
- 33:31Speaker 12: So that's just, it sang to me.
- 33:34Speaker 7: Because aren't the words to that pretty serious? Come on now.
- 33:37Speaker 7: Like All of Me loves, like you're saying, you're using
- 33:40Speaker 7: love already in your first date. You got to do
- 33:42Speaker 7: something different.
- 33:43Speaker 10: And you called her your future wife.
- 33:44Speaker 7: You got to be like, I'm walking on sunshine. Whoa!
- 33:52Speaker 7: You can't be all again. You're deep in your feelings, man.
- 33:55Speaker 6: I kind of like it, though. He's a lover boy. Like,
- 33:57Speaker 6: they're few and far between. Most of these men out
- 34:00Speaker 6: here will date you, sleep with you, and then never talk.
- 34:02Speaker 10: To you again.
- 34:03Speaker 7: Then you start doing some Cardi B whap.
- 34:06Speaker 10: No, don't do that one.
- 34:07Speaker 6: Yes, you got to do the move and everything.
- 34:11Speaker 7: All right, dog.
- 34:12Speaker 12: So.
- 34:13Speaker 4: You know, I mean, look, I'll take requests.
- 34:17Speaker 7: If you want.
- 34:18Speaker 10: You're a good guy. You deserve a good one.
- 34:20Speaker 11: I just kind of feel like you're just maybe too
- 34:22Speaker 11: much for Bella. And that's OK, because there's someone out
- 34:24Speaker 11: there that will appreciate all of you.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Oh, that's well done. Good job, Kyle.
- 34:29Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 34:30Speaker 14: Bella.
- 34:31Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 34:31Speaker 14: Like is that was it too much?
- 34:34Speaker 3: If he if he told it, told it down, you
- 34:36Speaker 3: wouldn't be into him if he took it down a
- 34:38Speaker 3: couple of notches. Like even just like humming.
- 34:41Speaker 25: The whole future wife thing is what really.
- 34:45Speaker 6: That can be a lot.
- 34:46Speaker 19: But watch Bella.
- 34:47Speaker 26: You're going to like not.
- 34:49Speaker 6: Go on a date with him. You're going to date
- 34:50Speaker 6: like three more guys after this and be like, they suck.
- 34:52Speaker 6: And then you're going to call Ethan back.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Watch.
- 34:54Speaker 3: If I'm dating, I would rather have to pull him
- 34:56Speaker 3: back a little bit. then find a guy that's a
- 34:58Speaker 3: jerk and try to make him into a nice guy.
- 35:00Speaker 11: But you do have to, I mean, people get really, like,
- 35:03Speaker 11: love bombing is a red flag.
- 35:04Speaker 6: You've got to be careful with that, Ethan.
- 35:06Speaker 7: You know what you should have done is a duet.
- 35:08Speaker 7: You should have done a duet and then wait for
- 35:09Speaker 7: her to jump in.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:11Speaker 17: A whole new world?
- 35:11Speaker 7: A whole new world. How would that go?
- 35:14Speaker 10: Yes, Ethan.
- 35:14Speaker 7: How would that go, Ethan? Do part of that.
- 35:17Speaker 4: Do you want me to do Jasmine or Aladdin?
- 35:19Speaker 7: I could do both.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Okay.
- 35:20Speaker 7: Do both. Do both.
- 35:21Speaker 9: Oh, wow.
- 35:23Speaker 4: I need some time to warm up the vocal cords.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Sure, go on.
- 35:26Speaker 19: We're on the spot.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Don't you dare close your eyes.
- 35:31Speaker 10: I love you.
- 35:34Speaker 7: He's awesome.
- 35:34Speaker 3: No one should tell us no.
- 35:36Speaker 26: Where to go?
- 35:40Speaker 5: They were only dreaming.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Come on, Bella.
- 35:43Speaker 7: And you could be Aladdin.
- 35:44Speaker 1: See?
- 35:45Speaker 7: I'm fun.
- 35:46Speaker 9: I like your name.
- 35:49Speaker 17: I do.
- 35:50Speaker 7: Give it one more try.
- 35:51Speaker 3: For us.
- 35:53Speaker 19: Okay, okay, okay.
- 35:54Speaker 3: That's not a love bomb.
- 35:56Speaker 7: She said yes.
- 35:57Speaker 17: Yes.
- 35:57Speaker 6: Okay.
- 35:58Speaker 10: We win.
- 36:02Speaker 12: It's a win.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Either we'll go all in or not at all.
- 36:05Speaker 12: We'll do karaoke, and we're able to be like.
- 36:07Speaker 25: It'll make sense that we're singing, or.
- 36:10Speaker 4: We just go to like a library where we're just whispering.
- 36:13Speaker 7: Here's the thing. You're a good singer, man. So you
- 36:16Speaker 7: shouldn't be embarrassed to let it all out. So way
- 36:18Speaker 7: to go. And it worked out. I think this is great. Congratulations,
- 36:21Speaker 7: you two.
- 36:22Speaker 17: Yay!
- 36:24Speaker 7: This is where you go. Now this is where you go.
- 36:27Speaker 7: At last. All right, you guys.
- 36:33Speaker 12: Love is gone.
- 36:36Speaker 7: Yeah, he's awesome. All right, good luck on your date.
- 36:39Speaker 7: I tell you what, if you don't go out with him, Bella,
- 36:41Speaker 7: I bet you there's a million people who are going
- 36:44Speaker 7: to want to go out with him now. So hang tight.
- 36:50Speaker 7: Second date.
- 36:52Speaker 15: Update with John Jay Rich.
- 36:59Speaker 7: It's a perfect song to get into because we wanted
- 37:02Speaker 7: to know, after second date update, the guy serenaded the girl,
- 37:06Speaker 7: and the girl was like, I'm not into it. Wanted
- 37:09Speaker 7: to know, back in the day, serenading was a thing.
- 37:12Speaker 7: But like, what is something nowadays, if you did it today,
- 37:15Speaker 7: it'd be considered kind of creepy. But back in the day,
- 37:18Speaker 7: it wasn't. Or what did someone ever do to impress you? Michelle,
- 37:21Speaker 7: good morning.
- 37:23Speaker 5: Hi.
- 37:24Speaker 19: So showing up to your house unexpectedly.
- 37:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:27Speaker 19: I mean, it's happened to me where someone's just knocking
- 37:30Speaker 19: on the door and I was like, oh, my God,
- 37:32Speaker 19: it's this guy. And he's literally just showing up with coffee.
- 37:37Speaker 19: But my dad would do that. Like back in the
- 37:39Speaker 19: day when he first met my mom, she said she
- 37:43Speaker 19: was trying to get his attention. But the next day
- 37:45Speaker 19: she heard someone in her house and she came out
- 37:48Speaker 19: and it was my dad. in the morning with her
- 37:51Speaker 19: mom and dad, you know? And I mean, he ended
- 37:54Speaker 19: up like sweeping her off her feet, but now it'd
- 37:57Speaker 19: be like, what the heck? That's for sure.
- 37:59Speaker 3: You are a hundred percent right. Like when I hear
- 38:02Speaker 3: about your parents, like, ah, they're in love. That's cute.
- 38:04Speaker 3: But if that happened now, you'd be like, get out.
- 38:07Speaker 10: Like, why are you here?
- 38:08Speaker 7: Like what used to be romantic? That is creepy today.
- 38:11Speaker 7: In fact, I posted this on Facebook last night, secret admirers.
- 38:15Speaker 7: Think about it for a second.
- 38:16Speaker 12: Right?
- 38:16Speaker 7: You start getting noticed by somebody else.
- 38:18Speaker 3: That is a stalker. Right.
- 38:20Speaker 14: A.K.A.
- 38:21Speaker 19: Well, the thing is that now we have phones, so
- 38:23Speaker 19: it's like, you've got to let us know.
- 38:26Speaker 7: Sending flowers to ask someone out?
- 38:28Speaker 6: I think that's nice.
- 38:30Speaker 10: I don't know if that's... If.
- 38:31Speaker 7: You just got flowers out of nowhere.
- 38:33Speaker 12: Well, yeah.
- 38:33Speaker 6: Like, how did you get my address?
- 38:35Speaker 10: From a secret admirer, yeah.
- 38:38Speaker 6: Yeah, but like if they knew where you worked and
- 38:40Speaker 6: they sent it to your job and they were like, hey,
- 38:41Speaker 6: get them to.
- 38:42Speaker 10: Yeah, I could let that one slide.
- 38:44Speaker 7: I think you guys say that now.
- 38:46Speaker 19: Oh, God, I got a letter like that to work before.
- 38:49Speaker 19: It was so creepy. It was a guy I talked
- 38:52Speaker 19: to maybe once in my life, and they called me
- 38:54Speaker 19: to HR to my new job. I was only there
- 38:57Speaker 19: one week, and I received this letter of apology and
- 39:00Speaker 19: saying good things about me, and I freaked out. It
- 39:03Speaker 19: was so creepy. And I remembered who this guy was. Like,
- 39:07Speaker 19: I talked to him once and he asked me what
- 39:09Speaker 19: my body count was. But I instantly blocked him. We
- 39:13Speaker 19: didn't even like talk. And he went online and found
- 39:16Speaker 19: my job and sent me a handwritten letter all the
- 39:19Speaker 19: way from Texas to Arizona.
- 39:21Speaker 7: Wow.
- 39:22Speaker 19: That's creepy.
- 39:24Speaker 7: Tracking someone down you thought was beautiful is on this list.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not going to work out.
- 39:29Speaker 7: Waiting outside their apartment. Yeah, those are all creepy. Michelle's
- 39:33Speaker 7: like an expert. Thanks, Michelle. So yeah, I wonder what's
- 39:38Speaker 7: something that somebody did to impress you that would be
- 39:40Speaker 7: creepy today, but it was romantic. Tim. Tim, good morning.
- 39:47Speaker 12: Good morning, sir.
- 39:48Speaker 7: Do you do something?
- 39:49Speaker 12: So No.
- 39:51Speaker 7: So, like, all the.
- 39:52Speaker 12: So, I'm in my 40s, and, like.
- 39:56Speaker 12: Back in the 90s, early 2000s, making the custom mixtape stuff.
- 40:00Speaker 12: Now granted, nobody has tape players anymore and burning CDs
- 40:04Speaker 12: and stuff. That's long failed. But if you look back now,
- 40:07Speaker 12: we all had the Boyz II Men songs. We had
- 40:09Speaker 12: the NSYNC songs. We had Shania Twain, Faith Hill. You
- 40:13Speaker 12: had all those songs. This song is for you. Savage Garden.
- 40:17Speaker 12: Savage Garden.
- 40:18Speaker 14: That's a killer.
- 40:19Speaker 12: They're good songs, but it's so cringy.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Yeah, see what you got to do, though. is I
- 40:25Speaker 3: definitely made a lot of mixed CDs in my day.
- 40:28Speaker 3: You got to hide the sentimental one, all long, cool stuff.
- 40:33Speaker 3: So you put it in there as like a little,
- 40:36Speaker 3: what's the Easter egg? You got to sandwich it right
- 40:38Speaker 3: in the middle. You don't start with the Savage Garden.
- 40:41Speaker 3: You can't start with that. You got to go tempo.
- 40:45Speaker 12: But the whole CD is going to be like that.
- 40:46Speaker 21: That's the thing.
- 40:47Speaker 12: It's like my wife now, when she hears Shania Twain
- 40:49Speaker 12: on the radio, or like it pops up in like a,
- 40:52Speaker 12: a spotify playlist or apple music playlist or whatever uh
- 40:55Speaker 12: she's like i i cannot listen to this because the
- 40:57Speaker 12: amount of like boys are like oh this is for
- 40:59Speaker 12: you baby this is our.
- 41:01Speaker 7: Song and like it's so.
- 41:03Speaker 12: It's so bad it's so so bad all right tim
- 41:06Speaker 12: i agree with you man thanks for calling in no
- 41:09Speaker 12: problem hey so we'll get into that and also i
- 41:11Speaker 12: think because of the girl got serenaded on the date
- 41:13Speaker 12: in the car That was a pretty funny story.
- 41:15Speaker 7: I'm just going to throw it out there. If anyone's
- 41:17Speaker 7: got a very funny first date story, 877-937-1047. In fact,
- 41:22Speaker 7: this is funny. A great prize would be the Dave
- 41:23Speaker 7: Chappelle tickets because Dave Chappelle is hilarious. So tell us
- 41:26Speaker 7: a funny first date story. We'll set you up with
- 41:29Speaker 7: Dave Chappelle tickets. Now, I don't know if Peyton has
- 41:32Speaker 7: heard this story. I don't even know if Kyle's heard
- 41:34Speaker 7: this story. But I think we wrap up. the creepy
- 41:37Speaker 7: thing with Rich sharing the story of when you serenaded
- 41:39Speaker 7: that girl.
- 41:41Speaker 6: I mean, I'm not surprised, but I want to know.
- 41:44Speaker 7: Rich is a fantastic guitar player.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Well, so there was this girl in my apartment when
- 41:50Speaker 3: I lived in San Diego that I would talk to
- 41:53Speaker 3: by the mailbox, by the pool. And she had a
- 41:56Speaker 3: French accent and I was gone. I was like, so
- 42:00Speaker 3: into her. And I'm like, you know, it might be fun. If, like,
- 42:04Speaker 3: one of these evenings, I just get my guitar and
- 42:07Speaker 3: knock on her door and sing her a song. I
- 42:10Speaker 3: did that, and there was a dude on her futon
- 42:13Speaker 3: sitting in his boxers with no shirt on. Her boyfriend.
- 42:17Speaker 6: While you were singing?
- 42:18Speaker 10: Did you keep going?
- 42:19Speaker 3: I didn't see him until I was about halfway through.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Then I wrapped it up.
- 42:22Speaker 7: What song were you singing? What were you singing?
- 42:24Speaker 3: It was a Chris Isaac song. I want to.
- 42:28Speaker 7: Fall in love.
- 42:30Speaker 3: It's a wicked game. He's like, hey, bro.
- 42:32Speaker 13: He looks around.
- 42:33Speaker 3: He's like, hey, bro. That's pretty good.
- 42:34Speaker 7: He was rich a $ 5 bill. See you later. Thanks.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Well, see you later. That did not work out for me.
- 42:41Speaker 7: Oh, man.
- 42:42Speaker 23: Oh, hey, look.
- 42:42Speaker 7: I wonder if this is the same.
- 42:43Speaker 3: I wonder whatever happened to Eve. Her name was Eve.
- 42:46Speaker 7: Tim, are you the Tim that just called or are
- 42:47Speaker 7: you a different Tim?
- 42:48Speaker 12: I am the Tim that just called because now I
- 42:49Speaker 12: have a phony first date.
- 42:50Speaker 7: Oh, okay, Tim.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Welcome to the show.
- 42:52Speaker 17: Tim, Timmy.
- 42:53Speaker 7: What is it, Timmy?
- 42:55Speaker 12: All right, so I met my current wife. I met
- 42:57Speaker 12: her online. I met her on Yahoo Personals, right? And
- 43:00Speaker 12: so I lived in East Valley. She lived in the
- 43:01Speaker 12: West Valley. We met up at a school, and then
- 43:06Speaker 12: we were going to drive together. And so I parked
- 43:09Speaker 12: my truck at the school, and we drove to Applebee's,
- 43:13Speaker 12: and we did the two-for-20 thing.
- 43:15Speaker 7: Fine, everything's good, whatever.
- 43:17Speaker 12: When she goes back to drop me off, because she
- 43:19Speaker 12: hasn't really gone to her house yet. It's the first date, right?
- 43:22Speaker 12: It's kind of creepy, right? I start my truck, and
- 43:27Speaker 12: that's the end of it. Well, I had forgot that
- 43:31Speaker 12: my truck automatically locked after like 15 seconds after it
- 43:34Speaker 12: was started. So I was talking to her. Started my truck,
- 43:38Speaker 12: closed my door, and then I got locked out of
- 43:40Speaker 12: my truck. So my truck is sitting there running. I'm
- 43:42Speaker 12: locked out of my truck. I'm sitting in the middle
- 43:44Speaker 12: of a school parking lot. I'm like, what do I do?
- 43:46Speaker 12: I don't have a coat hanger. I don't have any
- 43:48Speaker 12: of this stuff. I was like, I got an idea.
- 43:50Speaker 12: Call the police because they have Slim Jims. And they
- 43:54Speaker 12: can unlock the car. Yeah, and so she calls the police.
- 43:58Speaker 12: Glendale Police shows up. They're like, get away from the car.
- 44:01Speaker 12: Step away from the car. They got their hands on
- 44:03Speaker 12: their guns. They're ready to freaking take me down. They're like, yo,
- 44:05Speaker 12: this is my ride. I'm like, well, prove it. All
- 44:08Speaker 12: my crap's in the car. I can't prove it. And
- 44:10Speaker 12: so they brand my license plate, and I had to
- 44:13Speaker 12: give my name. It had to verify, and everything was great.
- 44:15Speaker 12: And at the end of the day, they're like, oh, yeah,
- 44:16Speaker 12: we can call a tow truck for you, and we
- 44:18Speaker 12: can't open the door. But even though they had the
- 44:19Speaker 12: ability to, they didn't. They'd say, oh, yeah, no, we're not.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Going to open the door for you.
- 44:23Speaker 12: We could, but we're just– we don't have an emergency.
- 44:25Speaker 14: This is an emergency.
- 44:26Speaker 12: You've got to call a tow truck.
- 44:27Speaker 14: We can do that for you.
- 44:28Speaker 7: This is all on the first date?
- 44:30Speaker 14: This is all on the first date.
- 44:31Speaker 12: I locked my keys in my truck with it running.
- 44:34Speaker 12: And then she– She fell in love. She went to
- 44:37Speaker 12: tell her friends. Yeah, well, her friends were like, well,
- 44:40Speaker 12: how was the date? He's like, well, he talks a lot,
- 44:43Speaker 12: and he locked his keys in his truck on the
- 44:46Speaker 12: first date.
- 44:46Speaker 3: And they're all like, I don't know.
- 44:48Speaker 12: Is this the dude you want? Well, that was 20
- 44:50Speaker 12: years ago, and here we are.
- 44:53Speaker 7: You want to go see Dave Chappelle, Tim? That's a
- 44:56Speaker 7: funny story.
- 44:57Speaker 12: I'd go see Dave Chappelle.
- 44:58Speaker 7: You don't have to. We've got other prizes. You want
- 45:00Speaker 7: to go to Wicked Ball? That's on Halloween.
- 45:04Speaker 12: No, I'd rather go to Dave Chappelle.
- 45:05Speaker 7: All right, hold on. We'll set you up, Tim. It's
- 45:06Speaker 7: a great story.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Wait, hold on.
- 45:08Speaker 7: I cut you off. What did you say? You got
- 45:09Speaker 7: to do what?
- 45:11Speaker 12: Got to go see the goat.
- 45:12Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's great. There's a lot of comedians
- 45:14Speaker 7: with that lineup, too. It's going to be great.
- 45:16Speaker 17: Hold on.
- 45:17Speaker 7: We do need a contestant for a minute to win it. 877-937-1047. Robin,
- 45:21Speaker 7: you got a creepy story?
- 45:23Speaker 13: It was.
- 45:23Speaker 7: It's creepy now, but if it happened back in the day,
- 45:27Speaker 7: it was kind of romantic. What was it?
- 45:30Speaker 12: Yeah, it didn't happen to me, but I was just
- 45:32Speaker 12: thinking about it.
- 45:33Speaker 18: Back in the day, remember when they used to throw
- 45:35Speaker 18: pebbles at your window?
- 45:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:38Speaker 5: To get your attention?
- 45:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:40Speaker 3: That's like every great movie. Try doing that now. No kidding.
- 45:43Speaker 3: The alarm goes off, SWAT team.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Cameras everywhere.
- 45:47Speaker 12: There's lights come on and helicopters are around.
- 45:50Speaker 19: Yeah, no, I was just bringing that up.
- 45:51Speaker 12: I was thinking about it.
- 45:52Speaker 18: Back in the day when they used to throw pebbles
- 45:55Speaker 18: at your windows to get your attention.
- 45:57Speaker 7: There's a movie. Remember the movie Say Anything where the
- 45:59Speaker 7: guy holds up the boombox and then– That's.
- 46:03Speaker 3: Where I got the idea for the serenade.
- 46:05Speaker 7: I saw an interview with the star, John Cusack, and
- 46:09Speaker 7: he said if that happened today, it would be creepy.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Oh, for sure.
- 46:11Speaker 7: Yeah, for sure.
- 46:12Speaker 12: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 46:13Speaker 3: Do you know what else you see in the movies
- 46:14Speaker 3: that seems romantic in the movies but if it happened now,
- 46:17Speaker 3: I think a girl would be like, what are you doing?
- 46:19Speaker 3: Like when they're at a restaurant. And the guy orders,
- 46:22Speaker 3: then he orders for the girl to, she'll have the second.
- 46:25Speaker 25: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 46:27Speaker 3: Let me order for myself, you creep.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Right?
- 46:30Speaker 12: Right?
- 46:30Speaker 19: Yeah, don't throw pebbles at my window now.
- 46:33Speaker 10: Red flags.
- 46:35Speaker 7: Thanks, Robin.
- 46:35Speaker 13: Yeah, right?
- 46:36Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 46:37Speaker 7: Are you guys, anybody here watching Slow Horses?
- 46:40Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 46:40Speaker 7: Are you caught up?
- 46:42Speaker 10: I don't, I think I'm one episode behind. No, I
- 46:44Speaker 10: think I am caught up.
- 46:45Speaker 7: There's a pebble.
- 46:46Speaker 10: Unless there's a new one from like today.
- 46:47Speaker 7: No, there's a part where one of the episodes where
- 46:50Speaker 7: there's these throwing pebbles.
- 46:51Speaker 8: Oh yeah.
- 46:52Speaker 7: But it wasn't romantic. It was work related.
- 46:54Speaker 14: All right.
- 46:56Speaker 7: We're gonna play a minute to win it. We got
- 46:57Speaker 7: a thousand dollars of Pat Hickey's money. We also got
- 47:01Speaker 7: pay your bills in about 30 minutes. We also got
- 47:03Speaker 7: tickets to Charlie XCX an hour from now. We got
- 47:06Speaker 7: a lot going on this Saturday though. There's a great
- 47:10Speaker 7: combo event on Saturday. Saturday morning, 8 a.m. at D-Pet
- 47:15Speaker 7: Hotel in Scottsdale is Cars and Canines. That's where Love
- 47:19Speaker 7: Pup is hosting this thing. We've got dog rescues. We've
- 47:22Speaker 7: got a handful of dog rescues going to set up.
- 47:24Speaker 7: It's beautiful. The weather's going to be great. And then
- 47:26Speaker 7: we have cars, like lots of fancy cars, like Rolls Royces, McLarens, Lamborghinis,
- 47:33Speaker 7: all kinds of cars set up. And they're all where
- 47:35Speaker 7: you can just walk up and down the aisles and
- 47:37Speaker 7: take a look at these cars. And some of them
- 47:38Speaker 7: you can sit in. It's really cool. So that starts
- 47:40Speaker 7: at 8 a.m. this Friday. Then after that Saturday, I'm sorry,
- 47:44Speaker 7: this Saturday, then after that at five o'clock at Sanderson
- 47:48Speaker 7: Ford is trunk or treat, which is fantastic. You bring
- 47:51Speaker 7: the family down. Priscilla is going to be there. The
- 47:53Speaker 7: kiss crew is going to be there. Trunk or treat candy,
- 47:55Speaker 7: lots of candy. There's face painting, bounce houses, all that.
- 47:58Speaker 7: So that's at five in Glendale. Okay. We're going to
- 48:02Speaker 7: play a minute to win it. What's up, Matt? You're
- 48:04Speaker 7: on the air. How are you?
- 48:04Speaker 6: Good.
- 48:06Speaker 13: How are you guys doing?
- 48:07Speaker 7: Matt, tell us a fun fact about yourself.
- 48:11Speaker 25: Fun fact about myself.
- 48:14Speaker 12: I am an AMC Stubs A-list member.
- 48:16Speaker 19: So, I mean, I'm pretty popular in society.
- 48:20Speaker 14: Oh, come on now.
- 48:21Speaker 12: Oh, yeah.
- 48:22Speaker 3: Yes, I'm ready. Ready to go.
- 48:24Speaker 7: That is awesome.
- 48:26Speaker 12: You mean AMC?
- 48:26Speaker 18: It's always in the holster.
- 48:28Speaker 7: That's the movie theater, right?
- 48:29Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 48:30Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, I have a big, I have a,
- 48:32Speaker 7: there's a good debate, I think, in my own head
- 48:34Speaker 7: about Harkins popcorn and AMC popcorn. They're both good.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Yeah, they both are really good.
- 48:39Speaker 7: But all right, man.
- 48:39Speaker 12: Harkins is the better popcorn.
- 48:41Speaker 6: Yeah, because you get to put your own butter on
- 48:42Speaker 6: the top, too.
- 48:43Speaker 7: And it's local.
- 48:44Speaker 21: Yep, yep.
- 48:46Speaker 7: All right. Hey, did you go see that Digger movie
- 48:48Speaker 7: by chance since you're an AMC cardholder?
- 48:51Speaker 14: I did not, no.
- 48:52Speaker 19: I had some friends that went to go see it,
- 48:54Speaker 19: and I just didn't get a chance.
- 48:55Speaker 13: To, no.
- 48:56Speaker 7: I've talked to two people that have seen it.
- 48:58Speaker 17: And?
- 48:58Speaker 7: And they say that it's probably going to win an
- 49:00Speaker 7: Academy Award.
- 49:01Speaker 3: Really?
- 49:02Speaker 7: Yeah, but it's very niche.
- 49:03Speaker 11: My sister went and saw it and said she walked
- 49:05Speaker 11: out because she did not enjoy it.
- 49:07Speaker 7: I guess there's a point where you want to walk out,
- 49:09Speaker 7: and if you don't walk out, it changes. And you go, oh,
- 49:12Speaker 7: is what I've heard. I know, it's a bummer, right?
- 49:15Speaker 7: But I've heard about it. All right, Matt, let's play
- 49:18Speaker 7: You Got a Thousand Bucks. Let's go.
- 49:19Speaker 13: John Dean.
- 49:23Speaker 10: Go.
- 49:25Speaker 3: 60 seconds on the clock, Matt. Let's go. What candy
- 49:29Speaker 3: bar tells you to give me a break?
- 49:32Speaker 12: Kit Kat.
- 49:35Speaker 3: What actor played Captain America in the Marvel movies?
- 49:39Speaker 7: Chris Evans.
- 49:40Speaker 3: LeBron James.
- 49:41Speaker 14: 1914.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Boom.
- 49:57Speaker 3: That's not it.
- 49:58Speaker 10: That's not right.
- 49:59Speaker 1: 1912.
- 49:59Speaker 3: Oh, February 14th, right? February 14th, 1912.
- 50:03Speaker 10: Oh, man, I had high hopes.
- 50:04Speaker 4: I was getting the 14th in the 2012.
- 50:07Speaker 7: Is that something we're supposed to know? Yeah. I'm impressed.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I would have never got that. You both would have
- 50:12Speaker 3: got that, right?
- 50:13Speaker 4: Wow.
- 50:13Speaker 6: I said 1904, so no.
- 50:15Speaker 10: I just knew it was on the 14th of February.
- 50:18Speaker 7: I do remember when.
- 50:19Speaker 6: We had like the 100.
- 50:20Speaker 20: I got the 14th and the 12th.
- 50:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 50:22Speaker 7: Well, Matt, you get Del Taco gift card.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Yay.
- 50:25Speaker 10: We'll take it.
- 50:26Speaker 26: We'll take it.
- 50:27Speaker 7: Go get Del Taco, then go see a movie.
- 50:29Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 50:30Speaker 18: All day.
- 50:31Speaker 12: Thank you, guys.
- 50:31Speaker 7: You got it, man. Hold on.
- 50:33Speaker 14: Wow.
- 50:33Speaker 7: I am so impressed that that was something like, first
- 50:35Speaker 7: of all, that you put it on there because I
- 50:36Speaker 7: was like, that's got to be way hard. There's no
- 50:37Speaker 7: way I'm out. And then you guys, that's just top
- 50:39Speaker 7: of knowledge. Top of knowledge.
- 50:42Speaker 10: Top of mind.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I like top of knowledge.
- 50:44Speaker 7: Top of knowledge.
- 50:45Speaker 5: Sure.
- 50:46Speaker 3: Put that in there. I think that's fine.
- 50:47Speaker 7: Top of knowledge. That's great. Today's a very special day today.
- 50:54Speaker 7: Today is October 13th. National No Bra Day.
- 50:59Speaker 8: National No Bra Day.
- 51:01Speaker 17: I'm not wearing a bra.
- 51:02Speaker 4: Created for breast cancer awareness.
- 51:04Speaker 6: I'm not wearing a bra today.
- 51:07Speaker 3: When I see you have a couple of good points too.
- 51:09Speaker 3: And I'm not wearing a bra.
- 51:10Speaker 9: Very good points.
- 51:11Speaker 10: You got good points.
- 51:12Speaker 18: Don't you tell I'm not wearing a bra?
- 51:14Speaker 6: Yes, you have your good points.
- 51:15Speaker 7: It's showtime.
- 51:18Speaker 5: Eh?
- 51:20Speaker 7: No Bra Day today. That's weird how that's made, like,
- 51:22Speaker 7: news a lot.
- 51:23Speaker 5: I know.
- 51:25Speaker 3: It's the first year that I've heard of this. Do
- 51:28Speaker 3: we do it every year?
- 51:29Speaker 7: I guess so. My dad used to do this thing
- 51:30Speaker 7: where he would be like, whenever my mom and my
- 51:33Speaker 7: sister were like stressed or whatever, he'd be like, take
- 51:35Speaker 7: off your bra, put your feet up. And they would
- 51:40Speaker 7: do it and they felt better. So it must work
- 51:43Speaker 7: because it's a holiday.
- 51:45Speaker 11: I know a lot of people, that's the first thing
- 51:46Speaker 11: they do when they get home. I like to keep
- 51:49Speaker 11: the babies supported.
- 51:52Speaker 3: Makes sense.
- 51:54Speaker 7: Just to keep with the theme of dating, there's a
- 51:56Speaker 7: video going viral. This woman's going viral for sharing her
- 51:58Speaker 7: story of being stood up and asking Bumble to cover
- 52:03Speaker 7: the $ 100 she lost, including two Ubers and a drink.
- 52:06Speaker 7: She says they owe her for having trash men on
- 52:09Speaker 7: their app. This is her talking about it.
- 52:12Speaker 6: Well, guys, this might be a first.
- 52:13Speaker 8: I might be getting stood up. 9 30 he called
- 52:15Speaker 8: me at 9 0 7 it's like oh i'm a
- 52:17Speaker 8: block away clearly was lying oh and the fact that
- 52:20Speaker 8: i ordered a shrimp cocktail and a drink and now
- 52:22Speaker 8: i'm gonna have to pay for that myself for nothing
- 52:24Speaker 8: for me to sit here oh my god you guys
- 52:27Speaker 8: i just tried to call him to let him know
- 52:29Speaker 8: like hey i'm leaving it went straight to voicemail wow
- 52:34Speaker 8: wow i just got stood up you guys i need
- 52:36Speaker 8: a break i need a break from dating it's too
- 52:38Speaker 8: much my heart can't handle it She kind of has
- 52:41Speaker 8: a point.
- 52:41Speaker 3: I feel so bad for her.
- 52:43Speaker 6: It's not Bubba's fault.
- 52:44Speaker 10: It's the dude's fault.
- 52:46Speaker 6: But she's probably like, can you vet your guys better?
- 52:49Speaker 6: How are they going to vet the guys?
- 52:51Speaker 7: Maybe they got to give them a deposit.
- 52:52Speaker 6: Maybe they have to do like a... I don't know.
- 52:55Speaker 10: Maybe there's like a rating system.
- 52:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:57Speaker 10: Like from people who have gone on dates with them before.
- 52:59Speaker 6: Like how Uber.
- 53:00Speaker 10: Like Uber.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:01Speaker 14: Right.
- 53:01Speaker 6: Five star, three and a half.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Well, maybe Bumble.
- 53:04Speaker 10: And then you can see the rating underneath.
- 53:06Speaker 11: Like when you buy stuff on Amazon, you can see
- 53:08Speaker 11: like what people have said about the product.
- 53:10Speaker 6: That's genius.
- 53:11Speaker 3: Yeah, the app.
- 53:11Speaker 10: Take that idea to app people.
- 53:13Speaker 7: And I also think.
- 53:13Speaker 3: You have to charge the guy.
- 53:14Speaker 7: Another way is the guys, if your guy's going to
- 53:16Speaker 7: go on a date, Bumble's the women-driven app, right? The
- 53:19Speaker 7: woman picks the guys. You know what it used to be?
- 53:21Speaker 7: So then if the guy agrees to go on a date,
- 53:23Speaker 7: he puts a deposit down in case something happens. And
- 53:26Speaker 7: if it doesn't happen and he screws over, then Bumble goes, hey, Francine,
- 53:29Speaker 7: here's $ 80.
- 53:30Speaker 3: Makes sense to me. If you order DoorDash and they
- 53:32Speaker 3: bring you the wrong food or don't bring you food,
- 53:34Speaker 3: you get a refund. If you're on a date, you
- 53:35Speaker 3: pay for the Uber and your guy doesn't show up,
- 53:37Speaker 3: then he has to pay for it.
- 53:39Speaker 10: How long would you wait on a date?
- 53:42Speaker 7: It depends where I am. If I'm having fun.
- 53:43Speaker 6: I was going to say.
- 53:45Speaker 13: I feel like.
- 53:45Speaker 10: Or you just end up eating by yourself eventually.
- 53:47Speaker 7: What did you just say?
- 53:47Speaker 3: I feel like I've waited about an hour and a
- 53:49Speaker 3: half before.
- 53:50Speaker 6: That's a long time.
- 53:50Speaker 1: Loser.
- 53:51Speaker 6: No, I would be out on that.
- 53:52Speaker 3: Well, she actually showed up. She just went. We were
- 53:54Speaker 3: meeting at like a place called Fox and the Hound.
- 53:56Speaker 3: It was like a pool place. And she showed up
- 53:58Speaker 3: at one way across town. She got the wrong one.
- 54:01Speaker 10: Oh, that's different.
- 54:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I would maybe. I would make 35 minutes.
- 54:05Speaker 10: Oh, see, I feel like that's longer than that.
- 54:07Speaker 3: That's pretty long.
- 54:08Speaker 10: 20 minutes is a long time when you're looking at
- 54:10Speaker 10: the clock.
- 54:10Speaker 6: But it takes me about that long to like sit
- 54:12Speaker 6: down and have a cocktail. So, you know, you would
- 54:14Speaker 6: drink one cocktail. I would have one drink and then
- 54:16Speaker 6: I'd probably be out of there.
- 54:18Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 54:18Speaker 7: Well, also, would you text the person? Where are you? Yeah. Yeah.
- 54:21Speaker 7: Like if they didn't respond, then I'd be gone.
- 54:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 54:23Speaker 10: What if they did respond? But then how much longer.
- 54:26Speaker 11: Would you wait if you're like, let's say you're there.
- 54:28Speaker 10: For 20 minutes and you text and you say, where
- 54:31Speaker 10: are you? Oh, I'm on my way. I'm so sorry.
- 54:32Speaker 10: I'm running late. How much longer would you wait?
- 54:36Speaker 7: I would probably wait a couple more minutes to go,
- 54:38Speaker 7: how long before you're here? If they go 15 minutes,
- 54:40Speaker 7: I'd be like, okay, I got to wait. But if
- 54:41Speaker 7: they're like this lady where they just keep blowing them
- 54:43Speaker 7: off at some point.
- 54:43Speaker 3: That's not cool because he's like, hey, I'm just down
- 54:45Speaker 3: the street, which means three minutes away.
- 54:47Speaker 7: He's a jerk. Yeah. Kristen, thanks for holding. What's going on?
- 54:52Speaker 26: Hey, so I've got a story for you guys. The
- 54:55Speaker 26: dumbest fight that I've ever had.
- 54:57Speaker 7: Okay.
- 54:59Speaker 26: So I was in high school.
- 55:01Speaker 19: I was a senior.
- 55:01Speaker 26: My brother was a junior.
- 55:02Speaker 6: Okay.
- 55:03Speaker 26: We are driving home from school, and it takes an
- 55:05Speaker 26: hour to get from school to our house. And he
- 55:09Speaker 26: wanted the AC on. It was in the middle of
- 55:11Speaker 26: the summer, and I wanted the AC off. And just
- 55:15Speaker 26: because he was in the front seat, he thought he
- 55:17Speaker 26: was entitled to the AC. So he turned it on.
- 55:20Speaker 26: I turned it off. We did this for like five,
- 55:23Speaker 26: ten minutes. And finally, he was just like, well, fine,
- 55:26Speaker 26: I'll turn the heater on. So he turned the heater.
- 55:28Speaker 7: On full blast.
- 55:29Speaker 26: And I was like, oh, well, that's fine with me.
- 55:31Speaker 12: I can deal with the heat.
- 55:32Speaker 26: So we drove almost a full hour in the summer
- 55:35Speaker 26: with the heater on full blast in my car. He
- 55:38Speaker 26: went to roll the windows down and I was like, no,
- 55:41Speaker 26: you get no window privilege. And so I locked the
- 55:43Speaker 26: windows so he can roll them down. And my poor
- 55:46Speaker 26: cousin is in the backseat and has to endure the
- 55:50Speaker 26: fight that we're having. We pull up to my house finally,
- 55:53Speaker 26: you know, the hour later and they bail out of
- 55:56Speaker 26: the car. they both look like they've been through the
- 55:58Speaker 26: hardest workout of their lives. My dad's like, what happened?
- 56:02Speaker 26: And I'm like, they thought they could touch my buttons.
- 56:04Speaker 26: Don't touch my button. After that, after that, my brother
- 56:09Speaker 26: stopped messing with my AC.
- 56:13Speaker 7: Well, Kristen, thanks for sharing that with us. And thanks
- 56:15Speaker 7: for listening. Yeah, absolutely.
- 56:17Speaker 26: You guys are awesome.
- 56:18Speaker 7: Kind of remind me of the story of my mom.
- 56:19Speaker 7: My mom told me she grew up in this little
- 56:21Speaker 7: town in Mexico called Santana. And she had a friend that,
- 56:26Speaker 7: didn't have air conditioning, but he would drive with the
- 56:29Speaker 7: windows rolled up, and it was 120, because he wanted
- 56:31Speaker 7: people to think he had air conditioning. Oh, poor guy. Oh,
- 56:34Speaker 7: my gosh.
- 56:35Speaker 3: That's a forger. He must have AC in that car.
- 56:37Speaker 3: And probably nobody's even looking, right? Nobody's looking at all.
- 56:40Speaker 7: Get out of the car, sweat pits and everything. My
- 56:42Speaker 7: mom would be like, what's going on? Everyone thinks I
- 56:43Speaker 7: have air conditioning.
- 56:44Speaker 3: That's horrible.
- 56:46Speaker 7: About an hour and a half ago, we got into meet-cutes. Meet-cutes,
- 56:50Speaker 7: which is how did you meet your person in some crazy,
- 56:53Speaker 7: random way. No swiping, no dating apps, just real-life love stories.
- 56:57Speaker 6: 877-937-1047.
- 56:57Speaker 7: We're going to do that next.
- 57:01Speaker 13: Hey.
- 57:02Speaker 6: Better wake up.
- 57:02Speaker 25: Wake up.
- 57:03Speaker 21: We're not.
- 57:04Speaker 17: We're not ready.
- 57:05Speaker 6: I'm Jante and Rich.
- 57:06Speaker 17: Wake you up.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Meet-cutes.
- 57:10Speaker 7: Didn't really know what that was, so Rich told me.
- 57:12Speaker 7: Kyle didn't know what it was, so she saw an
- 57:13Speaker 7: article on it, and we got into it. We want
- 57:14Speaker 7: to know about meet-cutes. That's a way you met somebody
- 57:17Speaker 7: that has nothing to do with technology, right?
- 57:20Speaker 6: Yep.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Right?
- 57:21Speaker 7: All right. Debbie, thanks for holding. What's your meet-cute? Debbie?
- 57:28Speaker 5: Hey, good morning.
- 57:29Speaker 29: So my best friend worked at an office supply store,
- 57:33Speaker 29: and I would go in and visit her all the time.
- 57:35Speaker 29: And this one time I went in, And I looked
- 57:38Speaker 29: over in the distance and I saw this guy just
- 57:39Speaker 29: standing on a ladder and I saw his butt.
- 57:43Speaker 3: And that's all it took.
- 57:45Speaker 29: Just this cute little perfect round hiney just staring back
- 57:49Speaker 29: at me. And I'm like, I got to see what
- 57:50Speaker 29: this guy looks like when he turns around. And he
- 57:53Speaker 29: turned around and I was like, yep, his butt is
- 57:55Speaker 29: just perfect because his face is perfect. Everything was perfect
- 57:59Speaker 29: about him.
- 57:59Speaker 14: Wow.
- 58:00Speaker 7: And it worked out. I'm assuming you're with him or
- 58:02Speaker 7: you dated him for a while or married to him?
- 58:04Speaker 29: I've married 30 years.
- 58:10Speaker 6: So Debbie, like, do you approach him and you're like, Hey,
- 58:12Speaker 6: I like your butt.
- 58:13Speaker 3: I also like your face.
- 58:15Speaker 10: How do you.
- 58:16Speaker 6: Have that conversation?
- 58:18Speaker 12: Well, we were dating for a while.
- 58:19Speaker 29: Cause I thought, you know what?
- 58:20Speaker 12: I don't want to scare this guy off.
- 58:22Speaker 19: Cause it's just too good to be true.
- 58:25Speaker 29: But when he found out, he was like, I like
- 58:28Speaker 29: this girl even more now.
- 58:30Speaker 3: What a great story.
- 58:31Speaker 7: I love that. You know what? There's this show I'm
- 58:33Speaker 7: watching right now on HBO. It's called Youth. Have you
- 58:35Speaker 7: guys started watching it? Anyone started watching it yet? I've
- 58:37Speaker 7: seen a little preview. It's really good. It's the woman
- 58:39Speaker 7: from Bad Sisters. And she's turning, she just turned 50.
- 58:43Speaker 7: She's divorced. Her kid's going off to college. She's starting
- 58:45Speaker 7: to date again. And she's dating this one guy that
- 58:47Speaker 7: she really likes. And they've hooked up already. And they're
- 58:49Speaker 7: like holding hands, walking through. And they're kissing outside in London.
- 58:53Speaker 7: And he says, man, he goes, I really like your butt.
- 58:55Speaker 7: It's so soft. And you see her face like, what?
- 58:58Speaker 7: And then she's like, that to her is not a compliment.
- 59:02Speaker 12: Right.
- 59:03Speaker 7: And then later they're texting each other. He's like, yeah,
- 59:05Speaker 7: I can't wait to touch your soft butt. And then
- 59:07Speaker 7: they cut to her and she's doing all these butt exercises. Yeah. like,
- 59:11Speaker 7: get her butt firm. I highly recommend Debbie. Thanks for
- 59:14Speaker 7: calling in.
- 59:14Speaker 16: Thank you.
- 59:16Speaker 7: Let's see what Mark, Mark, you got a meet cute story.
- 59:20Speaker 14: I have a meet cute story for sure.
- 59:22Speaker 7: Let's hear it.
- 59:23Speaker 14: So my wife, my wife moved from Australia at eight
- 59:27Speaker 14: years old. I moved from Colorado at eight. and we
- 59:30Speaker 14: met at church, and now we've been married 27 years.
- 59:32Speaker 7: Whoa, and you met at eight years old?
- 59:36Speaker 14: At eight. I turned 50 this year, so we've known
- 59:39Speaker 14: each other a long time. We started dating at 16. Wow.
- 59:41Speaker 14: And we've been married ever since.
- 59:43Speaker 7: Have you ever dated anybody else?
- 59:47Speaker 12: Well, of course we did.
- 59:48Speaker 14: We had problems. Not saying it was perfect.
- 59:50Speaker 7: Oh, you mean after that? So you guys connected, got married,
- 59:53Speaker 7: you broke up, got back together, had issues, worked things out?
- 59:56Speaker 14: No, no, no, no, no. We broke up only when
- 59:58Speaker 14: we were dating. We've been married ever since. We got
- 1:00:01Speaker 14: married in 99.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: Did you kind of have a feeling when you were
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: eight that this was the one?
- 1:00:08Speaker 12: No, she did.
- 1:00:08Speaker 14: She was totally hot for me back then.
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: Of course.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:00:12Speaker 7: I can't imagine it.
- 1:00:13Speaker 14: No, we knew at 16. We knew at 16 we
- 1:00:17Speaker 14: were going to get married.
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: There was this girl I liked when I was young.
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: I think I was, what grade are you in? Fifth grade? Ten?
- 1:00:22Speaker 19: Ten?
- 1:00:23Speaker 14: Sure.
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: Angie. I wanted to do the Grease play, and I
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: wanted to be Danny Zuko, and I wanted her to
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: be Angie. What's her name? Sandy.
- 1:00:31Speaker 14: Sandy.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: Yeah, but I'm glad it didn't work out. I can't
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: imagine being married to Angie right now. Mark, thanks for
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: calling in.
- 1:00:39Speaker 12: Hey, thanks.
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: Wendy, what's your meet cute story?
- 1:00:43Speaker 13: Wendy.
- 1:00:46Speaker 14: Wendy.
- 1:00:47Speaker 28: Oh, hi.
- 1:00:48Speaker 12: Sorry.
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: It's all right.
- 1:00:50Speaker 18: Mine is that I actually met my husband when I
- 1:00:52Speaker 18: was an oil changer.
- 1:00:53Speaker 26: At the mechanic shop that he worked at.
- 1:00:57Speaker 12: Awesome.
- 1:00:58Speaker 18: We've now been together for 20 years.
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: How did he hit on you? Or did you hit on.
- 1:01:05Speaker 10: Him?
- 1:01:06Speaker 29: Kind of virtual, like both.
- 1:01:07Speaker 12: We both did it.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Mutual?
- 1:01:10Speaker 25: Yeah, it was mutual.
- 1:01:11Speaker 16: I was a single mom, so.
- 1:01:15Speaker 26: I just moved back.
- 1:01:16Speaker 25: From Arkansas back to Arizona.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: But yeah.
- 1:01:20Speaker 7: Okay, so you changed his oil.
- 1:01:24Speaker 20: His and whoever else was in the shop at the time.
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: All right, thank you, Wendy. Strong. Chris, what's your meet
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: cute story?
- 1:01:31Speaker 13: Good morning.
- 1:01:32Speaker 22: So my story is it was my best friend's birthday.
- 1:01:37Speaker 22: I was her designated driver. We went to a bar, obviously.
- 1:01:42Speaker 22: And at some point in the night, I look over
- 1:01:44Speaker 22: and see her having like a verbal yelling match with
- 1:01:48Speaker 22: this man. And I walk over to break it up.
- 1:01:51Speaker 22: I'm like, girl, you got to get away. She'd been
- 1:01:53Speaker 22: drinking all day. So then this happened.
- 1:01:55Speaker 13: More than once.
- 1:01:56Speaker 22: And finally, I was like, what are you guys fighting about?
- 1:02:00Speaker 22: And she said, that guy wants to talk to you.
- 1:02:03Speaker 22: And I told him he's not good enough for my
- 1:02:05Speaker 22: best friend. Anyway, so we have been married for 29 years.
- 1:02:08Speaker 22: Turns out he was.
- 1:02:10Speaker 10: Good enough.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Good job.
- 1:02:13Speaker 14: Right?
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: Anyway, was she in your wedding?
- 1:02:16Speaker 22: Yes, she was. She was my maid of honor, yes.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: That's a great... Although she.
- 1:02:22Speaker 22: She did her toast and she was like, if it
- 1:02:24Speaker 22: weren't for me, they'd have never met. Or it wouldn't
- 1:02:28Speaker 22: have been so traumatic.
- 1:02:29Speaker 10: It could have happened sooner.
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: It could have happened a lot faster.
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: That's great, Chris. Thanks for calling in. Thank you very much.
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: More meet cute stories. Mute cute. It's where you talk.
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: No talking.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: But it's cute.
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: It's adorable. Meet cute. All right. 877-937-1047. I love you.
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: I love you. I love you. I love you. Meet Cutes.
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: Meet Cutes. It's about meeting people with no technology, no app.
- 1:02:57Speaker 7: It's kind of the way we used to do it
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: back in the day. We want to hear your Meet
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: Cutes story. Margaret, good morning. Thanks for holding. What's yours?
- 1:03:04Speaker 10: Hi.
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: Can you hear me?
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: Okay. Mine is, I was driving down the road. I
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: was driving down Bethany Home Road. And I had to
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: stop at a red light, and there was a car
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: in front of me, and the car in front of
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: me had three guys in it. And the one driving
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: was watching me in the mirror, and the other two
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: turned around and looked at me. And I didn't think
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: nothing of it, and I went past them, and I went.
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: And I pulled into where I lived, and they were
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: following me, and I stopped because I wasn't taken into
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: where I lived. And two of them came up to
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: my window, started talking to me. And the one says, hey,
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: can I get your number? And I said, well, why
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: don't you give me your number? Of course, you know,
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: being safe. And so I took the number. And every
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: time I called, he was never there. So I started
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: talking to this other gentleman. And as it turned out,
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: he asked me out. We went out. He went home
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: that night, got my name tattooed on his arm and
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: told his mother I am marrying her. That was the
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: week of Christmas. He proposed to me February 1st, and
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: we were married March 23rd, and we've been married 41 years.
- 1:04:18Speaker 10: Oh, wow.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: That's fate jumping in, isn't it?
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: The tattoo is so dramatic.
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: I'm talking that he was only 17, so his mom
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: had to take him to get permission.
- 1:04:31Speaker 7: See, that's what I was talking about earlier. If you
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: met a guy and he did that today, you'd be like, whoa, stalker.
- 1:04:36Speaker 10: And also they were following her in the car. Also stalker.
- 1:04:40Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: All right, Margaret, that's a great story.
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: That's so good, though.
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: Yeah, thank you for calling in, Margaret. Thank you for listening.
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: You're welcome.
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: Amanda, what's your meet cute story?
- 1:04:52Speaker 25: Hey, can you hear me?
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:04:55Speaker 28: Good morning. So when I was in college, I lived
- 1:04:58Speaker 28: in a college apartment where it was all college students
- 1:05:02Speaker 28: outside of ASU. And I actually wanted to have a party.
- 1:05:07Speaker 28: So I went to go buy things for the party
- 1:05:10Speaker 28: and got my fake ID taken away at the store
- 1:05:14Speaker 28: where I was going to purchase said things. Went back
- 1:05:18Speaker 28: to our apartment.
- 1:05:18Speaker 12: We were so bummed.
- 1:05:20Speaker 28: We were like, okay, we can't let this night be ruined.
- 1:05:22Speaker 28: Let's go party hopping around the apartment complex.
- 1:05:25Speaker 19: So I literally walked.
- 1:05:28Speaker 28: Out of my apartment door and down the back steps
- 1:05:30Speaker 28: into an open door where I met the man who
- 1:05:34Speaker 28: is now my husband in 2005. That's cute.
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: That's a meet cute story.
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: I love that you didn't like getting your ID taken
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: like killer vibes because I can definitely be like a
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: vibe killer.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:48Speaker 28: It did kill the vibe for a little bit, but
- 1:05:50Speaker 28: then I bounced back when I saw the cute guy.
- 1:05:53Speaker 28: So it started off as a real bummer of a
- 1:05:56Speaker 28: night and it worked out because that's what 21 years ago.
- 1:06:00Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: That's great, Amanda. Thanks for sharing that with us. By
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: the way, my son told me about this website that
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: they go to to get the fake IDs. And I
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: thought it'd be funny if I went and got one
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: that says I'm 21. That's really good.
- 1:06:11Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:06:17Speaker 7: Emily, what's your meet cute story? Emily.
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: Oh, sorry.
- 1:06:24Speaker 24: I couldn't hear you. Um, so I was, um, I
- 1:06:27Speaker 24: was 16, no, I was 17 at the time, just
- 1:06:29Speaker 24: turned 17. I was, um, applying for jobs and I
- 1:06:35Speaker 24: was about to go home and I was like, okay,
- 1:06:37Speaker 24: I'm going to go into one last place. And I
- 1:06:39Speaker 24: wasn't applying online. I was actually going into these places
- 1:06:42Speaker 24: and I went into a restaurant and there was Three,
- 1:06:48Speaker 24: two male hosts at the front and one female. And
- 1:06:53Speaker 24: I asked them for an application. And one of the
- 1:06:56Speaker 24: guys started asking me how old I was and whatnot.
- 1:06:58Speaker 24: And I went out front to fill it out. And
- 1:07:01Speaker 24: while I was out there, he told his buddy he
- 1:07:03Speaker 24: was working with, I'm going to marry.
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: That girl one day.
- 1:07:06Speaker 24: And we've been married for five years, but we've been
- 1:07:10Speaker 24: together for 13. And I also met my best friend there.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: But did you get the job?
- 1:07:19Speaker 24: Yes, I did. And also, he was actually dating somebody
- 1:07:25Speaker 24: else at the time, and so was I, and we
- 1:07:28Speaker 24: both left that person.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: So, yeah.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: When you know, you know.
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: Thank you, Emily, for sharing that story with us. That
- 1:07:35Speaker 7: is a cute, meet-cute story. Jessica, hi.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: Hi.
- 1:07:37Speaker 7: Hi, what's your meet-cute?
- 1:07:46Speaker 18: I met my husband at the dog park. And basically,
- 1:07:51Speaker 18: I had a puppy beagle. He had a puppy Rottweiler.
- 1:07:54Speaker 18: And we were going to the dog park. I would
- 1:07:59Speaker 18: dress up every day because I liked him. And he
- 1:08:02Speaker 18: paid absolutely no attention to me. So I just figured.
- 1:08:06Speaker 25: That he was probably gay after a certain point.
- 1:08:09Speaker 12: Because you looked good.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: He should pay attention to you.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:08:13Speaker 20: Right.
- 1:08:14Speaker 18: And then finally, like, one July, and it was blazing hot.
- 1:08:19Speaker 18: It was actually July 4th. We were the only people
- 1:08:22Speaker 18: in the dog park. And he finally asked me out.
- 1:08:26Speaker 18: And apparently he wasn't gay because I guess he just
- 1:08:29Speaker 18: would go to the dog park. And right before he
- 1:08:30Speaker 18: went to the dog park, he got super stoned. So
- 1:08:34Speaker 18: he wasn't gay.
- 1:08:35Speaker 13: He was just stoned.
- 1:08:37Speaker 18: And he wasn't paying attention to anybody. So we've been
- 1:08:41Speaker 18: together now 15 years.
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: Right on, Jess.
- 1:08:46Speaker 18: And we love dogs and our retirement plan is to
- 1:08:51Speaker 18: do the whole, you know, love pup type of thing
- 1:08:53Speaker 18: and open a shelter.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 1:08:54Speaker 7: Maybe you could just take ours over.
- 1:08:56Speaker 28: Maybe.
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: Well, I mean, at some point I want to hand
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: it over. You know what I mean? That makes sense. Yeah,
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: that's great, Jessica. Thanks for calling in. What a great story.
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 1:09:06Speaker 18: Thank you.
- 1:09:07Speaker 20: Love you guys.
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: Love you, too. Let me just check. I disconnected someone
- 1:09:11Speaker 7: by mistake. Hi, who's this? Hello?
- 1:09:14Speaker 22: Hi, this is Raymond.
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: Oh, hey, Raymond. Hold on a second. I think it
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: was Nancy. She was on hold for like eight minutes
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: and I hit the button and disconnected. I feel terrible.
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: I know.
- 1:09:23Speaker 14: Sorry.
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: Dylan, will you talk to Raymond and see what he's
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: calling about? Ava, what's up? What's your meet kid story?
- 1:09:29Speaker 13: Hi.
- 1:09:30Speaker 16: I just had an opinion.
- 1:09:32Speaker 27: I don't think meet kids really count unless it's like
- 1:09:36Speaker 27: current days because of course you're not going to meet
- 1:09:38Speaker 27: someone on a hinge in 1999.
- 1:09:41Speaker 7: Oh, that's true. But there's still, there were dating apps
- 1:09:44Speaker 7: or dating things back then.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: For sure.
- 1:09:47Speaker 16: I guess I feel like we invented the term.
- 1:09:50Speaker 26: Meet cute to show because nowadays that's all how people meet.
- 1:09:54Speaker 19: So if you do it naturally nowadays, it's like, well,
- 1:09:56Speaker 19: that's a shocker.
- 1:09:57Speaker 7: That's a good idea. You know what? If you text,
- 1:09:59Speaker 7: if you ask, when did, so you'd have to eliminate.
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: So you want to hear a meet cute story that's current.
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: So when did dating apps start?
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: I remember in 98 going on a date from a
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: place called it's just lunch and you would meet somebody
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: for lunch. And that was in 98, and that was online.
- 1:10:16Speaker 10: But for this specific thing, I think you could say, like,
- 1:10:19Speaker 10: in the last five years.
- 1:10:20Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:10:20Speaker 7: I just went to Chad's PT. They started... Oh, I said,
- 1:10:24Speaker 7: when did the... I missed height. I said, when did
- 1:10:28Speaker 7: the first fasting app start? No, no, dating app. I
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: meant dating app. Hold on, dating app. Okay.
- 1:10:35Speaker 27: I just feel like nowadays, everyone you meet has met
- 1:10:38Speaker 27: on Tinder or Hinge, so, like, Nowadays, it's really hard
- 1:10:41Speaker 27: to find someone who met naturally.
- 1:10:43Speaker 7: Okay, here we go. Here we go. So what did
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: you say, Rich?
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: I remember being on a dating site in, like, 98.
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: Okay, online dating websites existed in the 1990s, but dating
- 1:10:52Speaker 7: apps designed for smartphones took off in the late 2000s,
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: early 2010s.
- 1:10:55Speaker 15: Grindr, 2009.
- 1:10:56Speaker 7: Ooh, ahead of the game. They were early. 2012 was Tinder. Bumble, 2014.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: Match.com, 1995. So does that count? Do you count Match.com, Ava? Yeah,
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: that's a date app.
- 1:11:12Speaker 22: I guess it was on all the commercials.
- 1:11:14Speaker 13: You did hear about that back in the day.
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: I just want to change the game a little bit.
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: Ava's killing the romance.
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: It's got to be a meet-cute.
- 1:11:20Speaker 27: It would be cool to see someone more recent, though.
- 1:11:22Speaker 11: I see why Ava's saying that, because the article that
- 1:11:24Speaker 11: I saw, that was the whole thing. People are sick
- 1:11:27Speaker 11: of meeting people on dating apps, and that's why meet-cutes are.
- 1:11:30Speaker 10: Sort of coming back. People are longing to just.
- 1:11:34Speaker 10: Meet someone at the coffee shop.
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: So eliminate dating apps and then eliminate bars and clubs.
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: Because people, of course, you meet people there. Got to
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: be somewhere else.
- 1:11:41Speaker 6: Like, yeah, like we said.
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: Like a funeral. Like you're at a funeral and you
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: meet somebody.
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: I don't know if that would be cute. That takes
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: the cute part out.
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: On a hike, walking your dog.
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: That's a meat death.
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: At the neighborhood, you know, HOA meeting.
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: Okay, that's good.
- 1:11:55Speaker 12: That's good.
- 1:11:55Speaker 19: You never know.
- 1:11:57Speaker 13: Okay, Ava.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Changing the rules.
- 1:11:58Speaker 7: You can always critique our show. Thank you. That's a
- 1:12:00Speaker 7: good point.
- 1:12:01Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:12:01Speaker 23: I'll keep listening.
- 1:12:02Speaker 7: Ava, are you in a relationship? Did you meet somebody
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: in a cute way?
- 1:12:06Speaker 19: We met on Hinge.
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: Oh, she's like, we would have meet cute story.
- 1:12:13Speaker 13: Okay.
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: I see that. Mercedes, what about you? When did you
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: meet cute story? How'd you meet him?
- 1:12:19Speaker 16: Hi, good morning. My name is Mercedes, of course. I
- 1:12:22Speaker 16: met my husband now of 42 years. Actually, our anniversary
- 1:12:28Speaker 16: is October 22nd. I met him when I was maybe
- 1:12:32Speaker 16: four or five years old. I remember meeting him in Mexico, actually.
- 1:12:40Speaker 16: But our parents are from the same town. He was
- 1:12:42Speaker 16: born in California and, of course, me in Mexico, but
- 1:12:46Speaker 16: Our parents or my dad used to send stuff to
- 1:12:49Speaker 16: Mexico with his parents when they used to go visit.
- 1:12:53Speaker 16: And so, you know, I remember us playing. I used
- 1:12:56Speaker 16: to have this huge ball. I don't know, John Jay,
- 1:13:00Speaker 16: we know the Chavo del Ocho, those big balls that
- 1:13:03Speaker 16: Kiko had.
- 1:13:05Speaker 19: Him and I used to play together.
- 1:13:07Speaker 16: And then, long story short, I moved, of course, to
- 1:13:11Speaker 16: the States. I had my quinceanera. He was my chambelan
- 1:13:15Speaker 16: de honor. A month after Mike Insignia moved in with him.
- 1:13:20Speaker 16: And 15, I was 15. He was going to be 17.
- 1:13:24Speaker 16: And 42 years later, we're still together.
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: That's crazy. That's amazing. What a great story. Thanks, Mercedes.
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: You know, back in the day, you talk about the
- 1:13:33Speaker 7: age gap. You know, my grandfather was 27 in Mexico
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: and married my grandmother at 17.
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:13:40Speaker 7: And they were married for 60 years.
- 1:13:42Speaker 14: You know what?
- 1:13:44Speaker 28: Yes.
- 1:13:45Speaker 16: My mom was 17. My dad was 27.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: And yeah, yeah.
- 1:13:48Speaker 19: I mean, I would.
- 1:13:51Speaker 16: Love to say, you know, they're still together. But no,
- 1:13:54Speaker 16: my dad was, you know, hit and run, killed.
- 1:13:58Speaker 12: When he was 28.
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:14:01Speaker 16: So, yeah, my mom was a widow at 28, never
- 1:14:05Speaker 16: were married again, but she had seven kids and we're
- 1:14:09Speaker 16: still here.
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:14:11Speaker 16: I just wanted to share my story.
- 1:14:13Speaker 7: Glad you did.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: That's very unique.
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: Thank you for calling in.
- 1:14:15Speaker 16: Thank you, guys.
- 1:14:17Speaker 19: Have a wonderful day.
- 1:14:18Speaker 7: That's totally different than what Ava was saying.
- 1:14:20Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:14:21Speaker 7: Me on the dating app. I mean, they met when
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: they were four. There was no apps. I'm just going
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: to throw it out there. If anyone's got a meet
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: cute story that they met during technology, the last, let's
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: go with the last five, six years, not an app,
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: grocery store or a funeral or a wedding or somewhere different.
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: And it did involve technology. We'd like to hear it
- 1:14:42Speaker 7: because that is random. That doesn't happen any days. That's
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: what the article is about. Meanwhile, Kyle, what's going on
- 1:14:47Speaker 7: in the entertainment world? What's coming up?
- 1:14:49Speaker 10: Okay, so Swifties are kind of on notice. I'm going
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: to tell you why. We're thinking more Taylor content may
- 1:14:55Speaker 10: be on the way. Next, with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:14:57Speaker 7: Get up, get up.
- 1:14:59Speaker 6: From the car to the office.
- 1:15:01Speaker 17: Wake up with them every morning.
- 1:15:03Speaker 13: John Jay and Rich.
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: Learn and grow is.
- 1:15:05Speaker 9: The way to go.
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: Call 977-1900.
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: Hey Raymond, thanks for holding. What's your meet cute story?
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Hey guys, good morning. So I kind of don't fit
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: the criteria like you had mentioned, John Jay, about technology,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: but this was back in 2007. So it's like right
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: on the cusp of everything starting with technology, but I
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: was actually.
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: In high school. I was a senior and we.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Had just, we had to do a, like a family
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: history essay. And I had just gotten out of school
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: and just got like lectured for my grammar. So I
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: go to work. I worked at Harkins Theater at the time.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: And I walk in the break room and there's a
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: bunch of food all over the table. And I see
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: a sign where someone had written, you know, take whatever
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: you want.
- 1:15:57Speaker 12: They're free.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: And I was already in a bad mood. So I
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: had taken out a marker because someone.
- 1:16:02Speaker 12: Had wrote the there.
- 1:16:05Speaker 7: They put the wrong.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: There on the sign. So I like crossed it out
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: like dramatically.
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: And put the correct one.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: And as I was doing it, I was like, whatever
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: idiot made this sign, they need to learn how to,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: you know, use proper grammar. Little did I know that
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: my wife was sitting at the table and she was
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: watching me do the whole thing. She was the one
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: that brought the food in. So she didn't say a word.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: She was just watching me as I was, you know,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: tearing to shreds her good graces. Um, And yeah, later on,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I come to find out that she was the one
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: that did it after we had gotten together later on,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: like about like a month later.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: Oh, she didn't tell you in the moment that she
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: made the sign? Oh, no, no, no.
- 1:16:49Speaker 7: She just watched me.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: As I did every little disrespectful douche kind of thing.
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: And yeah. All right.
- 1:16:56Speaker 29: Thanks, brother.
- 1:16:57Speaker 7: Thanks for sharing that story with us. Kyle Pate, what
- 1:16:59Speaker 7: do you guys got for entertainment news?
- 1:17:00Speaker 10: Swifties are on notice.
- 1:17:01Speaker 11: She actually had a little conversation with her music video
- 1:17:05Speaker 11: producer and in it, Swifties are like, this isn't even
- 1:17:08Speaker 11: an Easter egg. She is full out saying she's got
- 1:17:10Speaker 11: more coming.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: I definitely feel more free to create now. Yeah, I
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: think it's just a phase I'm in right now. I
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: might be in a different phase in two months.
- 1:17:18Speaker 10: I have no idea.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: It's just recently I've found that the more things I make,
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: the more things I make and the happier I am.
- 1:17:24Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: And everybody's different. And there are people who put an
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: album out every, you know, five years and it's brilliant.
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: And that's the way that they work.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: And there's I have full respect for that.
- 1:17:32Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:17:32Speaker 15: But I don't.
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: Really know why I've been making more things recently, but
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: I'm just trying not to question it because I kind
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: of like it. I want it to keep going.
- 1:17:40Speaker 10: So what's coming out?
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:17:42Speaker 6: And I'm like, but also we know exactly, girl, you
- 1:17:44Speaker 6: were still on that wedding high, right?
- 1:17:46Speaker 26: Yeah.
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: Like you were feeling so inspired. I'm sure of it.
- 1:17:49Speaker 6: There's been so many amazing things that have happened for
- 1:17:51Speaker 6: Taylor Swift in the last year or so.
- 1:17:53Speaker 10: More love songs and happy songs to come.
- 1:17:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I get it.
- 1:17:56Speaker 11: Kerry Washington worked with Ben Affleck on the new Netflix movie, Animals.
- 1:18:01Speaker 11: But it turns out before she agreed to, she did
- 1:18:03Speaker 11: her own little background check on him.
- 1:18:05Speaker 7: I love it until later on you called around about
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: me and checked.
- 1:18:08Speaker 6: Up on me.
- 1:18:08Speaker 7: I did.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: I called Viola Davis.
- 1:18:10Speaker 13: I was like, give me the skinny.
- 1:18:12Speaker 19: How was it?
- 1:18:13Speaker 18: How was your time on air?
- 1:18:14Speaker 10: Was he great?
- 1:18:15Speaker 13: Was he terrible? How'd it go?
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: Viola said nice things.
- 1:18:18Speaker 7: You're lucky. I am lucky.
- 1:18:20Speaker 10: Without that, she might not be in the movie.
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: I started that movie and I was like, is that
- 1:18:24Speaker 6: Ben Affleck? Is that Ben Affleck? Is that Ben Affleck?
- 1:18:27Speaker 6: I couldn't figure it out.
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: When you start it, it says, it's something really cool
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: they do in the movie. It says starring Ben Affleck.
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: Well, yeah, but like. Directed by Ben Affleck.
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: I didn't see that.
- 1:18:36Speaker 6: Part, but he didn't look like, he looked like a
- 1:18:38Speaker 6: clone in my opinion.
- 1:18:39Speaker 10: He did not look like Ben Affleck.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: He has, I think, lost quite a bit of weight. Yeah,
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: he did not look like him. So his face looks
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: pretty thin.
- 1:18:46Speaker 10: You may have seen this on social media yesterday. It
- 1:18:47Speaker 10: kind of blew up. Selma Blair from Legally Blonde.
- 1:18:50Speaker 11: And Cruel Intentions was arrested after things that completely out
- 1:18:53Speaker 11: of control on a flight from L.A.
- 1:18:54Speaker 6: To New York.
- 1:18:55Speaker 11: Allegedly, she was trying to open the airplane door mid-flight.
- 1:18:58Speaker 11: She punched one of the flight attendants. She bit another
- 1:19:00Speaker 11: passenger on the plane that was trying to, like, calm
- 1:19:03Speaker 11: her down.
- 1:19:03Speaker 6: Then.
- 1:19:04Speaker 10: After getting off the plane, she kicked a.
- 1:19:06Speaker 11: Police officer and a nurse after landing. There is audio
- 1:19:09Speaker 11: of her getting off the plane. It's a little chaotic
- 1:19:11Speaker 11: at first, but you can hear her screaming and all
- 1:19:14Speaker 11: the commotion. Her team says she was experiencing a medical emergency.
- 1:19:25Speaker 11: She pled not guilty to the two assault charges, including
- 1:19:28Speaker 11: the officer and the nurse just this morning.
- 1:19:31Speaker 10: But I don't think we've heard the end of this one.
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: She said that her legal team said that she was
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: on off meds because of her MS. And if you
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: read the comments on the comments are like, that's not true.
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: I have MS and that doesn't happen. You don't go
- 1:19:44Speaker 7: that insane.
- 1:19:46Speaker 10: Like, yeah, definitely. Maybe it's a different kind of medical.
- 1:19:49Speaker 7: And then when you hear the I heard the pilots
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: talking and stuff, it's crazy. It's just crazy what they're
- 1:19:55Speaker 7: saying about it and that she bit somebody and punch.
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: I mean, it's insane.
- 1:19:57Speaker 6: Yeah, it's insane. One place you don't want to mess
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: around is the airport. Drewski, he is going to be
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: the first digital content creator ever to host Saturday Night
- 1:20:05Speaker 6: Live on November 7th. Musical guest hasn't been announced yet.
- 1:20:08Speaker 6: I personally am tuning in. I really rarely ever am like,
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: I got to watch SNL. But Drewski on there, I
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: think it's going to be just laugh out loud funny.
- 1:20:18Speaker 10: I feel like it's going to be a popular one.
- 1:20:19Speaker 11: Shane Gillis hosted last Saturday and something that he said
- 1:20:24Speaker 11: is causing a little bit of controversy. So he made
- 1:20:26Speaker 11: this joke about how women dress to go to the
- 1:20:29Speaker 11: gym these days with short shorts and then used a
- 1:20:31Speaker 11: derogatory term. And Dan Levy is not happy about it.
- 1:20:35Speaker 15: Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make
- 1:20:38Speaker 15: them whores. It makes the men calling them whores misogynists.
- 1:20:44Speaker 15: There's a difference there.
- 1:20:45Speaker 11: So then he went on and on about how like
- 1:20:48Speaker 11: more men actually need to be upset and speak up
- 1:20:50Speaker 11: about this because the more people are complacent, the more
- 1:20:54Speaker 11: things like this happen.
- 1:20:56Speaker 15: I'm speechless that something like that can exist on live
- 1:21:00Speaker 15: national television. And to be perfectly honest, more men need
- 1:21:03Speaker 15: to be standing up in opposition to it.
- 1:21:06Speaker 6: Olivia Rodrigo and Chapel Roan, they have low-key kind of
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: sent fans into overdrive right now because they are teasing
- 1:21:12Speaker 6: an upcoming collaboration.
- 1:21:13Speaker 10: Ooh, Olivia does remixes now.
- 1:21:16Speaker 6: Yeah, that's Chapel Roan on a track talking about Olivia
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: Rodrigo doing a remix. Fans are hoping that we get
- 1:21:21Speaker 6: this new song on Friday, but that's all we know.
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: That's all we know. Kesha, I don't really know what
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: she's doing for her Halloween costume, but I'm kind of scared. Apparently, like,
- 1:21:29Speaker 6: over the last 15 years, she has been collecting her fans' teeth.
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: She has over 1,000 of her fans' teeth, and she
- 1:21:36Speaker 6: is going to make necklaces, crowns, and earrings with her fans' teeth.
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: For Halloween this year.
- 1:21:41Speaker 10: Very Kesha, but very gross, and very Halloween.
- 1:21:45Speaker 6: Very, very creepy and spooky, you guys.
- 1:21:48Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:21:49Speaker 11: Justin Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, are getting into
- 1:21:51Speaker 11: the soda business. So they just joined a company called Prota.
- 1:21:55Speaker 11: It's spelled like Prada but with an O, so I
- 1:21:57Speaker 11: think it's called Prota. It's going to be protein sodas.
- 1:22:00Speaker 11: So protein-packed sodas. They got 10 grams of protein, zero sugar,
- 1:22:04Speaker 11: flavors like Shirley Temple, strawberry lemonade.
- 1:22:06Speaker 10: I guess you can find them at Sprouts.
- 1:22:07Speaker 11: So apparently they do. getting your protein in. And then also,
- 1:22:10Speaker 11: I mean, they're putting protein in everything now. Justin Timberlake
- 1:22:14Speaker 11: is also in a different celebrity headline because Britney Spears
- 1:22:18Speaker 11: is about to release a song. She recorded with Justin
- 1:22:21Speaker 11: Timberlake back in the day when they were dating. So
- 1:22:23Speaker 11: she has like 25 years later, she's going to be
- 1:22:25Speaker 11: re-releasing Britney. And so there's going to be like bonus
- 1:22:28Speaker 11: tracks on it. And this is one of them.
- 1:22:36Speaker 9: And when you look in my.
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: Eyes, it's hard for you to realize.
- 1:22:45Speaker 10: She'll never be me. That's the title, She'll Never Be Me.
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: I like it.
- 1:22:49Speaker 7: Sounds like it to me. I think we got to
- 1:22:50Speaker 7: get real quick, mention what happened with Breaking Bad star, R.J.
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: Mitt.
- 1:22:53Speaker 7: Do you have that story? He committed suicide yesterday and
- 1:22:56Speaker 7: he was, it's such a tragic story. I think he
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: also went to the University of Arizona. and it was
- 1:23:02Speaker 7: one of those things that hit hard in my family
- 1:23:04Speaker 7: because we were big fans of that show. He played
- 1:23:05Speaker 7: Walt Jr. You remember that? Yeah, of course. I'm telling you,
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: mental health is no joke, man. We've got to really
- 1:23:09Speaker 7: pay attention to that stuff, and if you're suffering through
- 1:23:11Speaker 7: anything like that, you've got to go. I think it's 988.
- 1:23:14Speaker 7: Does anyone know the number to call for the Suicide Hotline?
- 1:23:16Speaker 14: Anyone?
- 1:23:16Speaker 7: I think it's 988. Yeah, 988. That's what it is. Anyway, Jordan,
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: you've got a meet-cute story?
- 1:23:23Speaker 20: Yes, I do. What do you got? Um, it kind
- 1:23:27Speaker 20: of goes in with John LeBlair and, uh, Walter White thing.
- 1:23:31Speaker 20: I met my husband in rehab in 2020.
- 1:23:34Speaker 7: Oh, wow.
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: What, what were you recovering from and what was he
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: recovering from technology? Yeah, that's true.
- 1:23:41Speaker 10: Literally.
- 1:23:42Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 1:23:42Speaker 20: There's no tech. I mean, even, uh, just the time
- 1:23:46Speaker 20: it was no technology, but in rehab.
- 1:23:47Speaker 10: You have no technology.
- 1:23:49Speaker 20: So I couldn't even like stalk him after meeting him, um, naturally, but, um,
- 1:23:54Speaker 20: I was there for alcohol. He was there for a
- 1:23:57Speaker 20: lot harder things but we are still both sober six
- 1:23:59Speaker 20: years um we have a beautiful five-year-old girl and yeah
- 1:24:04Speaker 20: no technology involved at all.
- 1:24:08Speaker 7: That is a great way to end our whole meet
- 1:24:10Speaker 7: cute segment i mean you did it without technology and
- 1:24:12Speaker 7: you did it you guys are still thriving and doing.
- 1:24:14Speaker 20: Great yeah yeah so and i totally got 988 is
- 1:24:18Speaker 20: the number uh if anyone is struggling so glad you
- 1:24:22Speaker 20: put that out there Thanks.
- 1:24:23Speaker 7: For calling in. Thank you for listening, Jordan. Drive safe.
- 1:24:25Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 1:24:26Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: Love you guys. Bye.
- 1:24:27Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: We got free Charlie XCX tickets. They could be yours.
- 1:24:31Speaker 7: She's going to be at Desert Diamond Arena next week,
- 1:24:33Speaker 7: October 21st. We're going to play Annual Tradition Monster Match 877-937-1047.
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: It's next with John Jay and Rich. Amanda, good morning.
- 1:24:51Speaker 7: You're our contestant this morning. How are you?
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 1:24:55Speaker 12: I'm doing well.
- 1:24:56Speaker 28: How are you?
- 1:24:56Speaker 7: All right. You're playing for Charlie XCX Tickets, and we
- 1:24:59Speaker 7: are playing Monster Match. They did the monster match.
- 1:25:03Speaker 6: They did the match.
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: It was a radio smash.
- 1:25:07Speaker 13: They did the match.
- 1:25:08Speaker 7: They did the monster match. John Jay and Rich present
- 1:25:13Speaker 7: the monster match.
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: The tradition continues. Okay, so your questions are all about
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: anything monster, anything Halloween, really. We have an audio section.
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: We have a question section. But you get to hear
- 1:25:26Speaker 3: everybody else go first, Amanda, John Jay. What's the name
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: of the masked killer... in Scream known by?
- 1:25:34Speaker 7: Ghostface?
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: Correct on the board.
- 1:25:39Speaker 6: Kyle?
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: What legendary creature, rumored to terrorize Mexico, has a name
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: that means goat sucker in English?
- 1:25:51Speaker 5: Hmm.
- 1:25:52Speaker 10: Because when you said Mexico, I was thinking, uh, wasn't
- 1:25:57Speaker 10: there like La Llorona?
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: Something like that.
- 1:26:01Speaker 10: But I don't think that means goat sucker.
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: Not so far as I know.
- 1:26:06Speaker 10: But that's the only one I know, so I'm going
- 1:26:07Speaker 10: with it.
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: Anyone for the steal?
- 1:26:10Speaker 6: I like the Chupacabra.
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: Chupacabra!
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: Good job, Peyton.
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: Peyton, according to legend, what kind of bullet can kill
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: a werewolf? An onion bullet.
- 1:26:23Speaker 12: No.
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: I'm sorry, that is incorrect.
- 1:26:25Speaker 21: Can't they?
- 1:26:25Speaker 6: Don't they stay away from onions?
- 1:26:26Speaker 7: Silver bullet.
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: Silver bullet. Never seen a bullet made out of onions,
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: but you know.
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: Oh, no, those are vampires that don't like onions.
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: They don't like garlic.
- 1:26:34Speaker 22: Oh.
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: I think they're okay with onions. They're probably totally down
- 1:26:37Speaker 3: with a fajita, I would think. All right, okay. Over
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: to you, Amanda. What phantom rider terrifies the town of
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: Sleepy Hollow?
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: Oh, um.
- 1:26:54Speaker 19: It's the Headless Horseman.
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: That's right. Now we move on to the audio section
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: of Monster Match. Now, these are all songs, or songs
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: that are sung during these horror movies, scary movies. John Jay,
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: name the movie.
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: Eight or better, lock your door.
- 1:27:14Speaker 9: Five, six, grab your crucifix.
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: I don't want to hear it anymore.
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: Not at all creepy, is it?
- 1:27:25Speaker 7: I don't know what it is. I'm going to guess sinister.
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: Anyone for the steal? What did you say?
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: The ring.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: It is not the ring. It is Nightmare on Elm Street. Kyle,
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: yours is a little more cheery.
- 1:27:47Speaker 6: It's Beetlejuice.
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: Beetlejuice is correct.
- 1:27:49Speaker 10: I just wanted to hear more of it. It's such
- 1:27:51Speaker 10: a fun song.
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: It really is. Now, I think yours is pretty hard
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: because it's a song that they slowed down. It made
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: creepy for the movie.
- 1:27:58Speaker 6: As long as it's not Tiptoe by Tiny Tim, I'm ready.
- 1:28:01Speaker 17: I'm not one more.
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: Oh, if it's from, this has to be a Jordan Peele.
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: It is?
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: Yeah, so it's either, it's either, I think it's Us.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: It is Us!
- 1:28:14Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah!
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: All right, oh. What is that? I got five on me.
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: But they slowed it down and made it creepier.
- 1:28:21Speaker 6: Yeah, I remember when that song came on during that movie.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: And Amanda, this might be one of my favorite scary
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: movies in the last five years. Let's see if you
- 1:28:28Speaker 3: can get this one.
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: For to banish ghosts and goblins. A brand new pair
- 1:28:37Speaker 7: of clothes to rattle.
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: What movie is that from?
- 1:28:32Speaker 7: I do not know. It's an Oscar Award winner.
- 1:28:37Speaker 17: Oh, really?
- 1:28:39Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: Do you want an assist from Peyton? I think Peyton's
- 1:29:00Speaker 3: got it.
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: Yes, please.
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: For the win.
- 1:29:03Speaker 14: Sinners.
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: What did you say?
- 1:29:05Speaker 17: Sinners.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: Sinners is correct. You have just won the monster match.
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: There you go, Amanda. Hold on the line, Amanda. Hold on.
- 1:29:17Speaker 3: You haven't watched Sinners, have you, John Jay?
- 1:29:19Speaker 7: I watched it first. Five minutes.
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: You gotta get into it.
- 1:29:24Speaker 7: It's really hard for me to watch a show when
- 1:29:26Speaker 7: an actor is playing two different characters. It just bothers
- 1:29:28Speaker 7: the hell out of me.
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: But he does such a good job of doing the
- 1:29:31Speaker 6: difference of smoke and stack.
- 1:29:33Speaker 7: Because every time I watch it, when they're both in
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: the same scene together, I'm like, okay, how do they
- 1:29:37Speaker 7: do that? Green screen, and then I lose. I pull
- 1:29:40Speaker 7: out of the movie.
- 1:29:40Speaker 6: You should just fast forward until they get to the jukebox,
- 1:29:45Speaker 6: when they all start, when the good stuff happens. Like
- 1:29:48Speaker 6: 45 minutes in, fast forward, and you'll like it.
- 1:29:51Speaker 7: Speaking of scary movies on Halloween, the biggest Halloween party
- 1:29:53Speaker 7: in the Valley is the Wicked Ball. It's Friday night,
- 1:29:55Speaker 7: October 30th. Rich and Kyle from John Jay and Rich.
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: They're good.
- 1:30:00Speaker 7: DJ and Nicasio live in the mix. There's a $ 15, 000
- 1:30:03Speaker 7: cash prize. You get your share of that. It's the
- 1:30:08Speaker 7: biggest costume payout. And the tickets are on sale now
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: at Ticketmaster.com. In fact, we got a pair of tickets
- 1:30:14Speaker 7: right now. Caller 14, 877-937-1047. Kyle, what's coming up and
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: what we need to know?
- 1:30:19Speaker 10: Apple wants to take over your house.
- 1:30:21Speaker 11: I will tell you what you need to know next
- 1:30:22Speaker 11: with John Jay and Rich. Just when you think this
- 1:30:37Speaker 11: Cornell case couldn't get any more complicated, now one of
- 1:30:40Speaker 11: the students accused of sexual assault wants.
- 1:30:42Speaker 10: A judge to put a gag order in place.
- 1:30:44Speaker 11: So basically, he's asking the court to limit what people
- 1:30:47Speaker 11: involved in the lawsuit can say publicly after the case
- 1:30:50Speaker 11: has already sparked protests, massive national conversation, and And then
- 1:30:55Speaker 11: this morning, TMZ actually reported new witnesses are coming forward
- 1:30:58Speaker 11: now challenging parts of the account of what happened to
- 1:31:01Speaker 11: the victim at that fraternity gathering.
- 1:31:04Speaker 10: This is so scary, especially if you love roller coasters.
- 1:31:06Speaker 10: I love roller coasters.
- 1:31:08Speaker 11: Yesterday, a 42-year-old man died after falling from the Goliath
- 1:31:11Speaker 11: roller coaster at Six Flags over Georgia. Witnesses say he
- 1:31:15Speaker 11: hit parts of the ride on his way down and
- 1:31:18Speaker 11: other passengers. And the whole thing was caught on those
- 1:31:21Speaker 11: souvenir photos they take while the ride is going on.
- 1:31:23Speaker 11: The picture is like, you can see him in the
- 1:31:26Speaker 11: back falling.
- 1:31:27Speaker 6: What happened?
- 1:31:27Speaker 7: Was it the thing that locked in?
- 1:31:29Speaker 10: They don't know what happened.
- 1:31:30Speaker 11: And so they've literally shut down nine similar coasters at
- 1:31:33Speaker 11: all of their locations because of this.
- 1:31:35Speaker 6: So it's called, the ride is called Goliath. And it's
- 1:31:37Speaker 6: one of those that only has like the lap bar
- 1:31:40Speaker 6: that like. tucks you and they don't have the restraints
- 1:31:42Speaker 6: that go over your chest. You just hold it and
- 1:31:44Speaker 6: you have the thing that's lapped and pulled.
- 1:31:45Speaker 7: I mean, that's the nightmare about being on a roller coaster.
- 1:31:48Speaker 7: You're threatening that you're going to fall, but you know,
- 1:31:50Speaker 7: you're not because the roller coaster is safe.
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: You saw the witnesses saying they thought it was part
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: of a Halloween thing at first until they heard, you know, they,
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: until it went on a little longer, like, Oh, that's
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: not part of a Halloween thing.
- 1:32:01Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: So sad.
- 1:32:03Speaker 10: So, so sad.
- 1:32:04Speaker 11: Uh, Apple, you guys just introduced something called home view
- 1:32:08Speaker 11: and It's basically like having a little iPad that runs
- 1:32:11Speaker 11: your entire house. So this home view can recognize your face,
- 1:32:15Speaker 11: control your doorbell, lights, your thermostat, and use a smarter
- 1:32:19Speaker 11: version of Siri to help you manage everything. It starts
- 1:32:22Speaker 11: at $ 299 and will supposedly be available later next month.
- 1:32:28Speaker 10: This is wild because, I mean... It's like one of
- 1:32:31Speaker 10: those where you go, what were they thinking?
- 1:32:33Speaker 11: Somebody apparently thought they could sneak drugs through Sky Harbor
- 1:32:37Speaker 11: by hiding them inside an Apple computer. TSA officers, shout
- 1:32:40Speaker 11: out to the TSA officers that noticed something a little
- 1:32:42Speaker 11: weird in the wiring of the Mac mini during an x-ray.
- 1:32:46Speaker 11: When they checked it out, they found hidden in the
- 1:32:48Speaker 11: compartment was fentanyl, meth, and ketamine.
- 1:32:50Speaker 7: Oh my God.
- 1:32:51Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:32:52Speaker 6: Insane.
- 1:32:53Speaker 11: The passenger was obviously arrested and the officer who spotted
- 1:32:56Speaker 11: it said the hiding place was so bizarre he initially
- 1:32:58Speaker 11: thought it was like a training exercise.
- 1:33:00Speaker 7: In their computer? Because the laptop's so thin.
- 1:33:02Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: That's why they do the X-ray. It's like a box.
- 1:33:05Speaker 10: Yeah. So there you go. Don't try to do that.
- 1:33:07Speaker 7: I think the TSA people are amazing. I would love
- 1:33:10Speaker 7: to do that for a day and just look at
- 1:33:11Speaker 7: the monitor, what people read through.
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:33:16Speaker 10: Let's search this one.
- 1:33:17Speaker 12: Wink, wink.
- 1:33:18Speaker 13: Okay.
- 1:33:18Speaker 11: There is a new ramen restaurant on baseline road. It's
- 1:33:21Speaker 11: called strings ramen, and they will actually reward you. They
- 1:33:25Speaker 11: want to pay you for eating their food.
- 1:33:27Speaker 10: There is a catch though.
- 1:33:29Speaker 11: If you finish their level five monster hell ramen in
- 1:33:32Speaker 11: 20 minutes.
- 1:33:33Speaker 10: You'll get a $ 50 gift card and a t-shirt. Everyone
- 1:33:36Speaker 10: loves t-shirts, right?
- 1:33:38Speaker 11: And considering they have five different levels of spicy, I
- 1:33:40Speaker 11: feel like that 50 bucks might not be enough to
- 1:33:42Speaker 11: convince me.
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: Level five sounds ridiculous. What kind of food is it?
- 1:33:46Speaker 10: It's ramen.
- 1:33:46Speaker 7: But is it the Thai spices?
- 1:33:48Speaker 10: It's the ramen noodles. Yeah, I don't know exactly what
- 1:33:51Speaker 10: type of spice the hell ramen is.
- 1:33:52Speaker 7: When I get Thai food, you can pick your level.
- 1:33:54Speaker 7: I can go to a one or one and a
- 1:33:56Speaker 7: half or two, but you go further than that and
- 1:33:58Speaker 7: your face is done.
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:33:59Speaker 10: If you can, though, I mean, it's 50 bucks, so that's...
- 1:34:02Speaker 10: Why don't.
- 1:34:03Speaker 7: They bring it in here and you guys do a
- 1:34:05Speaker 7: try Tuesday night?
- 1:34:07Speaker 6: Do you want me to die?
- 1:34:08Speaker 7: Shouldn't have done the story then.
- 1:34:10Speaker 10: Have an ambulance ready, John Jay.
- 1:34:13Speaker 7: What's the name of the place?
- 1:34:14Speaker 10: It is called Strings Ramen.
- 1:34:16Speaker 7: Let's go. Strings, bring it in.
- 1:34:18Speaker 10: And that's what you need to know.
