- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to the favor It's presented by Drafts Kings. The
- 0:12Speaker 1: Crown is yours. We are an Action Network podcast. I'm
- 0:16Speaker 1: Brandon Kravitz, your host, back at it with the first
- 0:18Speaker 1: Lady of the pod, Kendra Middleton, the Prime Minister of
- 0:21Speaker 1: DJEN Nation, Stuckey, and the man who puts the prime
- 0:24Speaker 1: in primer, Evan Aprams. We have more NFL training camp
- 0:29Speaker 1: news and angles to detail here. We'll start the podcast
- 0:32Speaker 1: with that. We've got a wild mail bag to get
- 0:35Speaker 1: to today as well, so fun show plan. Thank you
- 0:38Speaker 1: to all of you who have hit us up, either
- 0:41Speaker 1: via email dms, whether you've slid into ours or Kendra's.
- 0:46Speaker 1: We appreciate you all the same. Let's empty the tank.
- 0:50Speaker 1: We'll start with the New England Patriots. First time in
- 0:53Speaker 1: a while that the biggest story coming out of New
- 0:57Speaker 1: England is not Diana Rossini. And now we also note
- 1:01Speaker 1: now how much Dana Orsini was making at the Athletic,
- 1:04Speaker 1: which is insane. AJ Brown is now with the team,
- 1:09Speaker 1: so drama aside. It seems like AJ Brown is going
- 1:13Speaker 1: to make a significant impact Romeo Dobbs as an element
- 1:16Speaker 1: that they didn't have last year. I'm kind of starting
- 1:21Speaker 1: to buy into the New England Patriots offense, Kendra, and
- 1:24Speaker 1: this was not something I thought I was going to do,
- 1:27Speaker 1: especially after that flurry of bad news and bad press
- 1:31Speaker 1: coming out of New England.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I want to buy in, but I will be completely
- 1:35Speaker 2: bought in on this team if they move Will Campbell
- 1:39Speaker 2: to guard and start giving Caleb Blomo some reps in
- 1:42Speaker 2: practice where he belongs. I get that the offensive line
- 1:47Speaker 2: is getting older outside of these two, however, I just
- 1:50Speaker 2: would feel a lot better as a Patriots fan if
- 1:52Speaker 2: that were the case. I'm also worried how much of
- 1:55Speaker 2: a more difficult schedule is going to impact this team.
- 1:59Speaker 2: And I know that they did the right things, They
- 2:01Speaker 2: got the right people in the building as far as
- 2:03Speaker 2: giving Drake may some help, but this is still a
- 2:06Speaker 2: massive distraction going on. And yes, there hasn't been news
- 2:10Speaker 2: to come out in quite some time. But how much
- 2:13Speaker 2: family time do we think Mike Rabel is going to
- 2:15Speaker 2: have to have during the season.
- 2:16Speaker 3: We saw him step away from the draft for a day.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I just I would like for this to all be
- 2:22Speaker 2: sunshine and rainbows and bouquets of roses. But from a
- 2:26Speaker 2: more pessimistic stance, I just it's hard to ignore the
- 2:32Speaker 2: elephant in.
- 2:33Speaker 1: The room, and I think that if you look at
- 2:36Speaker 1: the wide view of the New England Patriots and what
- 2:39Speaker 1: their season long potential could be, you have to look
- 2:42Speaker 1: at that story and decide how you feel about it.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'm specifically talking about their offense. I think with another
- 2:49Speaker 1: year of seasoning for Drake May, they're putting more on
- 2:53Speaker 1: his plate at the line of scrimmage. They've been throwing
- 2:56Speaker 1: him out in mini camps saying we're not even going
- 2:58Speaker 1: to give you a play. Just go out and the
- 3:00Speaker 1: defense and try and make it work. What he did
- 3:03Speaker 1: last year, minus the weapons that he has going into
- 3:06Speaker 1: this year is what has me excited, Stucky. Do you
- 3:09Speaker 1: think their offense can take a significant step and that
- 3:12Speaker 1: that can be the thing that allows them to continue
- 3:15Speaker 1: to be as dangerous as they were a year ago.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's talk going to come out of
- 3:19Speaker 4: the offensive line.
- 3:20Speaker 1: For me.
- 3:21Speaker 4: They've upgraded the weapons. I think you have to be
- 3:25Speaker 4: optimistic about what Drake May is and what he's going
- 3:28Speaker 4: to be. But what failed them in the playoffs Slaesson,
- 3:32Speaker 4: where he was sacked twenty plus times, was the offensive line,
- 3:35Speaker 4: And now you are moving Jared Wilson back to center
- 3:37Speaker 4: where he played in college. But you lost your center,
- 3:40Speaker 4: you brought in Varah Tucker to play guards coming off
- 3:43Speaker 4: of an injury, you know, Moses not getting any younger.
- 3:48Speaker 4: And then will Campbell can he take that next step
- 3:52Speaker 4: at left tackle? Pretty important position? So how does that
- 3:55Speaker 4: offensive line come together? And then if they have any injuries? Right,
- 4:00Speaker 4: this is all this is always a given when we
- 4:01Speaker 4: talk about in the unit, can they stay healthy? But
- 4:03Speaker 4: if the Patriots in particular have any injuries, you're you're
- 4:07Speaker 4: looking at probably rookies, a pair of rookies filling in.
- 4:10Speaker 4: What is the drop off there if there are any injuries?
- 4:13Speaker 4: But can Campbell take that next step? And then how
- 4:16Speaker 4: does the interior come together? Does Moses not have a
- 4:19Speaker 4: big drop off at right tackle? So I think that's
- 4:22Speaker 4: what's going to really determine whether or not this Patriots
- 4:26Speaker 4: offense can take a big next step. Is that production
- 4:30Speaker 4: and efficiency of the offensive lineup front?
- 4:33Speaker 2: The other two things that I'd like to hit on one,
- 4:36Speaker 2: do we think that they're going to actually give Trayvon
- 4:38Speaker 2: Henderson touches that he deserves or meaningful touches, or do
- 4:42Speaker 2: we think they're going to continue to ride the Remandrae thing.
- 4:45Speaker 2: The other issue here for me is if Drake May,
- 4:48Speaker 2: God forbid, gets hurt at all, your options are Tommy DeVito,
- 4:53Speaker 2: which fine, and then their third stringer is someone I've
- 4:56Speaker 2: never even heard of.
- 4:59Speaker 1: It may fuck, it doesn't matter.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but like even if it's a game or two,
- 5:04Speaker 2: like I think Tommy DeVito could survive, but their schedules
- 5:07Speaker 2: just so much more difficult.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Who the fuck is Bayren Morton stuck?
- 5:11Speaker 1: Who is that rookie?
- 5:13Speaker 3: But who is he?
- 5:15Speaker 4: So? Yeah, I mean that's that's a lot of teams,
- 5:17Speaker 4: and the Patrids definitely aren't worse shape than a bunch
- 5:22Speaker 4: as far as quarterback up and like surviving a couple
- 5:25Speaker 4: of weeks. Obviously, if if Drake Man has a serious injury,
- 5:29Speaker 4: they're done. But that's the same thing with you know,
- 5:32Speaker 4: all of the teams in the AFC with top tier quarterbacks,
- 5:36Speaker 4: if they go down, you're done. Your season's over for
- 5:40Speaker 4: a long time. But your point is well taken that
- 5:43Speaker 4: if he has to miss like three games or so,
- 5:46Speaker 4: and those are a critical three games and they end
- 5:49Speaker 4: up being like the difference between a playoff spot or not,
- 5:54Speaker 4: they don't really have like a reliable, veteran guy who
- 5:58Speaker 4: can step in and win a couple games. Not to
- 6:02Speaker 4: say they can't, but the chances are a lot lower
- 6:06Speaker 4: than other teams. So yeah, quarterback depth is definitely up there.
- 6:09Speaker 4: But they're going to need me to stay healthy for sure.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And I do not see Trevon Henderson being any more
- 6:16Speaker 1: involved than he was last year. I think the playoffs
- 6:19Speaker 1: told us a lot about.
- 6:20Speaker 3: How crazy who's wife did he kiss?
- 6:23Speaker 2: Like?
- 6:24Speaker 3: What is going? I don't understand.
- 6:26Speaker 1: That's the reference we're going to make with the Patriots. Yeah, fidelity,
- 6:30Speaker 1: Billy Kendra. Yes, all right, listen, I'm gonna need you
- 6:34Speaker 1: to sit down for this one. According to Mike Deroco, VSPN,
- 6:38Speaker 1: Jags reporter Brian Thomas, Junior has been the most impressive
- 6:42Speaker 1: player in OTAs, citing a new mindset and not overlooking
- 6:48Speaker 1: the details. He has a they've been working on chemistry,
- 6:52Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence and BTJ. Are you buying or selling what
- 6:56Speaker 1: we're hearing out of Jags camp? This time of year,
- 6:59Speaker 1: it's always sunshine and rainbows. It's hard to find negative
- 7:01Speaker 1: news out there in the NFL when you're in June,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and these guys are out there with no pads On,
- 7:07Speaker 1: But are you buying it?
- 7:09Speaker 3: I am buying it for a couple of reasons.
- 7:12Speaker 2: One, this off season, the fake trade rumors of him
- 7:17Speaker 2: maybe to New England and everywhere else.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I think maybe hopefully pissed him off in the right way.
- 7:21Speaker 2: But I don't know if you guys remember last season
- 7:23Speaker 2: the rumors that I talked about that were going around
- 7:25Speaker 2: Jacksonville about him. And one, something really tragic happened to
- 7:29Speaker 2: someone really close to him before the season started, and
- 7:31Speaker 2: we all know how easily it is for things like
- 7:33Speaker 2: that to get into your mental And two, apparently he
- 7:37Speaker 2: suffered a concussion allegedly early in the season last year,
- 7:40Speaker 2: which is why he was potentially so scared to get
- 7:42Speaker 2: hit in the middle of the field.
- 7:44Speaker 3: I'm hoping that, you know, kind of maybe those yips
- 7:46Speaker 3: are gone.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I'm all in on believing that he is ready and
- 7:48Speaker 2: refreshed for a new season.
- 7:50Speaker 1: His middle of the field guys are Jacoby Myers and
- 7:54Speaker 1: Parker Washington, and I think that having that load lightened
- 7:58Speaker 1: where they don't even they're not even gonna ask that
- 8:00Speaker 1: of Brian Thomas Junior anymore. They also just extended Brenton
- 8:03Speaker 1: Strange a lot of teams are going to that two
- 8:06Speaker 1: tight end set system. Liam Cohen no different, Stucky out.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Imagine that that's a move that you like that they're
- 8:14Speaker 1: doubling down on Strange, who's kind of the prototype for
- 8:18Speaker 1: that new fangled offense that we see, the McVeigh style offense.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You got to be able to block, you have to
- 8:23Speaker 1: be able to catch. Helps the run game, and it
- 8:25Speaker 1: helps in the explosives.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean you have to be I think it
- 8:29Speaker 4: to be bullish on the Jags offense, assuming that they
- 8:32Speaker 4: stay healthy. My question is more on the other side
- 8:34Speaker 4: of the ball. They're not going to most likely be
- 8:36Speaker 4: able to reproduce the takeaway rate that they did last year.
- 8:40Speaker 4: They lost the heartbeat of their defense in the middle.
- 8:42Speaker 4: But in terms of their offense, right you have you
- 8:45Speaker 4: have Trevor Lawrence coming into the season much more familiar
- 8:48Speaker 4: with the offense. They're probably going to be able to
- 8:51Speaker 4: install some more things and just what they showed last year,
- 8:57Speaker 4: I think the sky is the limit now. I will
- 8:59Speaker 4: be curious us to see what they do In terms
- 9:03Speaker 4: of personnel. You mentioned Brent Strange. They were a different
- 9:07Speaker 4: offense when he was healthy last year. They just they
- 9:12Speaker 4: just didn't have the same juice when he was out.
- 9:14Speaker 4: But they went and they drafted like a lot of
- 9:17Speaker 4: teams did in the They drafted two tight ends in
- 9:21Speaker 4: what bor Kirsher and Kozial extended strange and then you
- 9:26Speaker 4: know you have this promising report on BTJ. You still have,
- 9:33Speaker 4: right your two other receivers who flourished last year. Where
- 9:36Speaker 4: does Travis Hunter fit into this? How often are they
- 9:41Speaker 4: running two three tight end sets? So there's a lot
- 9:44Speaker 4: of optionality, which is a good thing for Lilliam Cohen,
- 9:48Speaker 4: But how does it all come together. I'm curious to see,
- 9:50Speaker 4: like what the percentage breakdown of their packers are and
- 9:53Speaker 4: how are they utilizing everyone, you know, with only one
- 9:57Speaker 4: ball to go around. So there's there's definitely a lot
- 9:59Speaker 4: of which I think is a good thing. Curious to
- 10:01Speaker 4: see how it all comes together, but definitely have to
- 10:04Speaker 4: be bullish on this JAG's offense heading into the season.
- 10:08Speaker 4: It's the defense where I certainly have more questions.
- 10:11Speaker 1: And that's why they they need to play Travis Hunter
- 10:14Speaker 1: almost exclusively on defense. If he turns into a star corner,
- 10:18Speaker 1: that can help solve a lot of those concerns. If
- 10:21Speaker 1: they play him a wide receiver. There's a glut at
- 10:24Speaker 1: that position right now. I don't even see how it's necessary.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Twenty five percent of his plays should probably come on
- 10:31Speaker 1: the offensive side. Can I get a prediction, a percentage
- 10:35Speaker 1: breakdown from the group here of what we expect, what
- 10:38Speaker 1: percentage of Travis Hunter's overall usage will be on the
- 10:42Speaker 1: offensive side of the ball. Stucky, I have no idea.
- 10:47Speaker 4: I'll say twenty percent. And yeah, you're I think that
- 10:53Speaker 4: they would just be better off using him like in just
- 10:56Speaker 4: very specific situations. You can't use them like two. You
- 11:04Speaker 4: can't just beat oh, we're going to use them for
- 11:05Speaker 4: this play, right, because then you're kind of just showing
- 11:08Speaker 4: your hand. So I don't know. Twenty five percent seems
- 11:12Speaker 4: seems like a fair number, and you're right on the
- 11:16Speaker 4: rosy reports. I'm doing college football prep right now, and
- 11:22Speaker 4: just everyone everyone solved everything in the off season with
- 11:25Speaker 4: all with the transfer portal. Every everyone got just plug
- 11:28Speaker 4: this hole with this transfer this transfer portal guy. So
- 11:31Speaker 4: everything's going to be fine. The offensive lines will be better,
- 11:33Speaker 4: the wide receivers are better. He really likes the defensive
- 11:36Speaker 4: line this year. Coach loves his linebacker room. The secondary
- 11:40Speaker 4: looks great. Everything is. You just you can't find anything
- 11:44Speaker 4: negative this time of year, and you just have to
- 11:46Speaker 4: parse that out yourself because everything is, everything is rosy
- 11:51Speaker 4: in June.
- 11:52Speaker 1: You have to be cynical. You gotta be cynical because
- 11:55Speaker 1: the news out there is not going to help if
- 11:57Speaker 1: you're overly optimistic. Kendro, what's your percentage breakdown for Hunter?
- 12:02Speaker 2: I would agree probably about twenty percent. I think he's
- 12:03Speaker 2: going to wind up being primarily at the defensive side
- 12:06Speaker 2: of the ball, but they'll have packages for him at
- 12:10Speaker 2: receiver every once in a while, but I wouldn't get
- 12:12Speaker 2: married to the idea of him being there.
- 12:14Speaker 1: All right, let's hit one more story and then we
- 12:16Speaker 1: will jump to our mailbag. So I have a new
- 12:20Speaker 1: look Bill's offense. DJ Moore now the number one wide
- 12:23Speaker 1: receiver in Buffalo. The biggest change is that Sean McDermott
- 12:27Speaker 1: is out. Joe Brady is the new head coach, and
- 12:29Speaker 1: he is giving major substitute teacher vibes from what I'm reading,
- 12:33Speaker 1: more than just football drills. He's had field day competitions
- 12:38Speaker 1: like tug of war and obstacle courses where obscene music
- 12:43Speaker 1: is blaring across the practice fields. Kendra, is this the
- 12:47Speaker 1: way to get your team to lock in? It's like
- 12:49Speaker 1: he's he's just going a reverse course from what I imagine
- 12:53Speaker 1: Sean McDermott was not blaring hip hop and having the
- 12:58Speaker 1: players play Tug Award.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I have to be honest, I feel like all of
- 13:02Speaker 2: the old heads are gonna hate this. And people love
- 13:05Speaker 2: to talk about how sports are getting solved, athletes are
- 13:07Speaker 2: getting solved, players are getting solved, whatever.
- 13:10Speaker 3: But if you're gonna.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Reach like the expectations of this new player, new athlete,
- 13:15Speaker 2: you've got to do fun things. You've got to make
- 13:17Speaker 2: practice fun. You've got to make it engaging. Otherwise they're
- 13:19Speaker 2: not gonna care.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Bucky, is this is this fun approach? Is this gonna backfire? Like?
- 13:24Speaker 1: I think it's cool at first, But at what point
- 13:27Speaker 1: is this something that players just start to roll their
- 13:29Speaker 1: eyes at, Like if they struggle and he's the goofy
- 13:31Speaker 1: substitute teacher who just wants to be bros with everyone.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It's it's just it. We saw that happen in Miami
- 13:38Speaker 1: with Mike McDaniel. It was cool until till things go south.
- 13:43Speaker 4: I'm not reading too much into it. The bills, the
- 13:45Speaker 4: Bill's offense. You have one. You have two questions to
- 13:48Speaker 4: ask yourself this year. One is Josh Allen does he
- 13:51Speaker 4: stay healthy? Two does their offensive line stay healthy? If so,
- 13:54Speaker 4: their offense is gonna be fine. We've seen that over
- 13:56Speaker 4: and over again in the regular season the playoffs, it's
- 13:58Speaker 4: never been the problem. This year. It's all about their defense.
- 14:02Speaker 4: That's why they made a change. That's it's going to
- 14:04Speaker 4: look the most different about this team this year is
- 14:07Speaker 4: their defense, their philosophy, their aggression level schematically, and number one,
- 14:14Speaker 4: do we see progress during the regular season? And number two,
- 14:18Speaker 4: do we see a different result when it matters in
- 14:23Speaker 4: the playoffs, Because it's a defense that's let them down
- 14:25Speaker 4: time and time again in the playoffs. It's not the offense.
- 14:27Speaker 4: So all eyes on the defense. For me, the offense
- 14:29Speaker 4: will be fine. Everybody eats it's if Josh Allen and
- 14:32Speaker 4: that offensive line are healthy, they'll move the ball, they'll
- 14:35Speaker 4: put up points. It's all about the defense. So that's
- 14:38Speaker 4: that's the main thing that I'm keeping my eye on
- 14:40Speaker 4: this summer.
- 14:41Speaker 1: We always know what we're gonna get from Josh Allen.
- 14:43Speaker 1: They've got a new building to break in this year
- 14:45Speaker 1: as well. More expectations for a franchise that has been
- 14:49Speaker 1: letting us down a year after year in the Buffalo Bills.
- 14:53Speaker 1: More of the Favorites coming up. Mail bag right around

- 15:42Speaker 1: We'll start with Dave from Oregon Stucky. This one's from you.
- 15:47Speaker 1: He's a long time follower and listener of your various podcasts,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and he calls you out for something that you have
- 15:54Speaker 1: said in the past. He said, I think I remember
- 15:57Speaker 1: you saying that you and your wife didn't think you
- 16:00Speaker 1: ever have kids. I think the phrase was just pets
- 16:03Speaker 1: and bets put that on a T shirt. When did
- 16:07Speaker 1: you change your mind? When did you guys change your
- 16:09Speaker 1: minds on this? Yeah?
- 16:11Speaker 4: I talked of this before on the show We that's
- 16:14Speaker 4: you bond on that you bond on whether or not
- 16:16Speaker 4: you want to have kids or not right before you
- 16:18Speaker 4: marry someone. If you one person wants to have kids,
- 16:20Speaker 4: one person doesn't, there's a good chance that that might
- 16:24Speaker 4: end up ruining the relationship. And neither of us wanted
- 16:27Speaker 4: to have kids. So like that's what we bonded on.
- 16:29Speaker 4: And then over time, you know, as I got older
- 16:33Speaker 4: and approaching forty, I was I just started to think
- 16:36Speaker 4: about it more. You see your friends with kids, and
- 16:40Speaker 4: you know, clock is ticking, and you just get into
- 16:44Speaker 4: a different stage in your life. And I but then
- 16:48Speaker 4: I didn't want to bring it up to my wife
- 16:49Speaker 4: because so I started to think about it, like I
- 16:52Speaker 4: kind of do want to have just one kid, But
- 16:54Speaker 4: I didn't want to bring it up to her because
- 16:56Speaker 4: I didn't want it to be a thing, right, So
- 16:59Speaker 4: one night I just decided, look, I'm going to bring
- 17:03Speaker 4: it up. And it turns out she was thinking the
- 17:05Speaker 4: same thing over the last year or two and didn't
- 17:08Speaker 4: want to bring it up to me that she was
- 17:10Speaker 4: thinking about having a kid. So we talked about it,
- 17:14Speaker 4: and I'm very happy that we did. But it was
- 17:18Speaker 4: just just got to a different stage in my life.
- 17:21Speaker 4: And but we are one and done. I will say
- 17:24Speaker 4: that it was gonna be.
- 17:26Speaker 1: My spotow up, quo. You took the words right out
- 17:27Speaker 1: of my mouth. Stuck.
- 17:28Speaker 4: We gave thirty pounds of clothes away to like my
- 17:32Speaker 4: brother's about to have his first kid. Her sister's about
- 17:35Speaker 4: to have another one, so we sent like thirty pounds
- 17:40Speaker 4: of clothes to them. We got rid of everything that's
- 17:42Speaker 4: already you already can't fit into, because we will not
- 17:46Speaker 4: need any clothes that he doesn't fit into in the future.
- 17:51Speaker 4: So it's one and done. He has a ton of
- 17:53Speaker 4: cousins around his age that live basically on our street,
- 18:00Speaker 4: who have no shortage of and they're all around his age,
- 18:03Speaker 4: so yeah, it's uh, it's one and done. But yeah,
- 18:07Speaker 4: just a different stage in life, and I'm very happy
- 18:09Speaker 4: that we did. It's it's been amazing. Uh So we'll
- 18:13Speaker 4: see how goes are in football season. My wife's gonna
- 18:15Speaker 4: have to carry the load.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Uh. It is the It is the biggest challenge I
- 18:20Speaker 1: faced all year is being a good father while the
- 18:23Speaker 1: red zone channel is on. It is very difficult to
- 18:25Speaker 1: do both of those things well simultaneously. Very hard. But
- 18:30Speaker 1: I'm on and done as well. In fact, guys, I
- 18:34Speaker 1: a little breaking news for you. I did have my
- 18:37Speaker 1: first doctor's appointment to surgically remove that possibility catch them
- 18:43Speaker 1: a drift.
- 18:45Speaker 4: When you have a lot of mistresses, you gotta.
- 18:48Speaker 1: You gotta keep it tight. Yeah, all right, let's go
- 18:53Speaker 1: to Jim from upstate New York. Kendra, if you were
- 18:57Speaker 1: on Subway Takes, which admittedly before the show today, I
- 19:01Speaker 1: had to look up what that was hilarious content, by
- 19:03Speaker 1: the way, what would your take be? So this is
- 19:06Speaker 1: like your this is like your keystone take in life.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Oh God, And I can explain this. It's literally just
- 19:15Speaker 1: a TikTok channel of a couple of guys that are
- 19:18Speaker 1: asking people on the subway, what's your hot take?
- 19:23Speaker 3: I think that my real hot takes I can't share
- 19:25Speaker 3: with the internet. But there was one that came to
- 19:29Speaker 3: my mind. Oh, this is a good question, all right.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I think that you should have to take an IQ
- 19:35Speaker 2: test to have a child or a pet.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Is that bad? I think that you should definitely.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Well hold on good that they have to be different numbers, right, yes,
- 19:46Speaker 1: like good, there's a different stand.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Yes for sure.
- 19:49Speaker 2: But I think in order to have a child, you
- 19:50Speaker 2: should have to pass some sort of like not just yeah,
- 19:55Speaker 2: in order to have a child, you should pass some testing.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Like I just don't think anybody should be out here
- 19:59Speaker 2: rod and having a kid because there are some shitty
- 20:01Speaker 2: parents out there. And yeah, I think that you there
- 20:04Speaker 2: should be some requirements to have a child.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, there's requirements to drive a car. You should have
- 20:10Speaker 1: like a parent license. Great, go to the DMV, get
- 20:13Speaker 1: tested as to whether or not you'd be a good parent.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I think mine is that you should you should be
- 20:20Speaker 1: required for at least six months in your life. Everyone,
- 20:24Speaker 1: especially in this country, should have to be a server
- 20:26Speaker 1: or bartender for six months. It teaches you discipline, It
- 20:31Speaker 1: teaches you work ethic, It teaches you how to tip,
- 20:35Speaker 1: how to treat people, how to deal with stressful situations.
- 20:39Speaker 1: It's kind of like all in. It teaches you not
- 20:41Speaker 1: to be a shithead when you're at a restaurant. No
- 20:44Speaker 1: one who's been a server for any length of time
- 20:46Speaker 1: ever treats people who wait on them like crap. And
- 20:50Speaker 1: I think that that's that. I think everybody should have
- 20:52Speaker 1: to do that. It's almost like, you know, like back
- 20:55Speaker 1: in the day, you had to you had to submit
- 20:58Speaker 1: yourself to the army and and potentially get drafted. I
- 21:02Speaker 1: think it's it should be like that in the service industry. Stuck.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but what about the customers. I don't I don't
- 21:07Speaker 4: want any every possible shithead being a server.
- 21:13Speaker 1: It wouldn't be shitheads anywhere. This would straighten out society everybody.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Tons of hot takes. I mean one practical one. I
- 21:23Speaker 4: think that we should like change, seriously change, like the
- 21:27Speaker 4: curriculum of school in schools, like we need to number one,
- 21:32Speaker 4: financial literacy should be taught to like starting when people
- 21:39Speaker 4: are very young. But there's also like things with a
- 21:45Speaker 4: changing just that the changing world around us. For example,
- 21:50Speaker 4: in Finland. I think it's Finland. Yeah, I think in Finland,
- 21:55Speaker 4: for like years they've taught like they teach kids like
- 22:00Speaker 4: propaganda and they date because they know proximity to Russia,
- 22:05Speaker 4: and like they teach like how to identify things that
- 22:08Speaker 4: aren't real and deep fakes and all things like that,
- 22:11Speaker 4: and that I think that is going to be super
- 22:13Speaker 4: important to society. But I'll say, how about for cars? Why?
- 22:21Speaker 4: I don't know how easy this would be to do,
- 22:24Speaker 4: but why if a sixteen year old is driving, Like
- 22:28Speaker 4: that's one of the leading causes of death for like
- 22:30Speaker 4: sixteen seventeen eighteen year olds as a car accidents. And I
- 22:34Speaker 4: just think back to like when I was driving as
- 22:39Speaker 4: a sixteen seventeen year old. I mean I would drive
- 22:42Speaker 4: as fast as humanly possible, weaving in and out like
- 22:46Speaker 4: just a complete asshole. So why should like a car
- 22:52Speaker 4: that a sixteen year old has now you're still gonna
- 22:54Speaker 4: have them. They're gonna you're gonna drive your parents' cars.
- 22:56Speaker 4: I don't know what you can do about this.
- 22:57Speaker 2: But.
- 22:59Speaker 4: A sixteen years roll shouldn't be able to drive one
- 23:03Speaker 4: hundred and ten miles per hour, right, So, like, is
- 23:06Speaker 4: there like a.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Way to restrict Yeah, like a governor to put.
- 23:10Speaker 4: On the car based on age.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Progressive does that where like it'll like monitor how fast
- 23:16Speaker 2: you drive and like how much how much and how
- 23:18Speaker 2: hard you break.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I know you can monitor it, but like if
- 23:21Speaker 4: you crash into a tree, I mean, and who get
- 23:25Speaker 4: they it's like, oh, he's going too fast, but now
- 23:27Speaker 4: he's inside of a tree. Like I feel like you
- 23:31Speaker 4: shouldn't even have the option. So I don't know.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I mean, it's just technology already exists. I mean, we
- 23:36Speaker 1: use it to unlock our phones every day. If we
- 23:39Speaker 1: just had that on the steering wheel, where the car
- 23:42Speaker 1: wouldn't start until like a yeah, exactly, it's a facial
- 23:47Speaker 1: recognition software. Okay, it's this person. It's Debra, she's seventeen,
- 23:52Speaker 1: and this car is not going to go faster than
- 23:55Speaker 1: sixty miles an hour.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Yeah. I also find it weird, like cars should not
- 24:00Speaker 4: like anyone that gets fine wheel shouldn't be able to
- 24:02Speaker 4: go like one hundred and thirty Like what is the
- 24:06Speaker 4: Is there ever a reason for you do have to
- 24:08Speaker 4: go one hundred and thirty miles per hour and.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Like a prerequisite for getting by Georgia?
- 24:13Speaker 4: I think, yeah, that's true. How would Georgia recruit They'd
- 24:19Speaker 4: be lost?
- 24:20Speaker 2: They probably do like auto racing for like bids to
- 24:23Speaker 2: get on the team.
- 24:25Speaker 1: But it's truely for what reason do you need to
- 24:28Speaker 1: go one hundred miles an hour? When is that? It's
- 24:30Speaker 1: not like there are speed limits out there that are
- 24:33Speaker 1: ever north of.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Actually, I can think of certain instances when you're like
- 24:39Speaker 2: on a two lane highway and you need to pass
- 24:42Speaker 2: like a semi truck, but there's like other cars coming.
- 24:44Speaker 3: I feel like you just have to floor it in
- 24:46Speaker 3: that moment.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Yeah, one hundred, like hundreds of max. Like, h get yeah,
- 24:54Speaker 4: I've gone one hundred and one hundred. What's the highest
- 24:56Speaker 4: you've ever gone in the car? I've gone one hundred
- 24:57Speaker 4: and twenty once when I was like sixteen, I think
- 25:00Speaker 4: money and like I was just being dumb. I was
- 25:04Speaker 4: on I was six like sixteen, and I was on
- 25:06Speaker 4: a straight away and I said, how fast can I drive?
- 25:08Speaker 4: How fast can I get my car up to? And
- 25:10Speaker 4: I went like five. It's just something the sixteen year
- 25:14Speaker 4: old does for no reason, and then still many times
- 25:17Speaker 4: it ends poorly.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Because they have no concept of life or death. Yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 1: that's why Natalie from North Carolina wants to know a
- 25:23Speaker 1: lot of futures football talk in the summer starts with
- 25:26Speaker 1: I wouldn't bet this now. When are you confident enough
- 25:30Speaker 1: in a futures pick to actually bet it? Do you
- 25:33Speaker 1: wait until all the preseason games are over so you
- 25:36Speaker 1: know about injuries? What does the timing look like? Stucky?
- 25:40Speaker 1: How would you explain this to someone if you've ever
- 25:42Speaker 1: used that phrase, which I'm sure that you have on
- 25:45Speaker 1: this podcast and others.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Like like every almost every question in finance and in betting,
- 25:51Speaker 4: it depends. It just depends on the actual bet. How
- 25:55Speaker 4: much edge do you think you have, whether or not
- 25:58Speaker 4: you're willing to type your mind. I assume we're we're
- 26:02Speaker 4: all betting legally here, but like is it credit or not?
- 26:06Speaker 4: But there's there's just you have to weigh because here
- 26:11Speaker 4: you could say this, You could say, Okay, I know
- 26:14Speaker 4: that I'm gonna have more information after preseason games, but
- 26:18Speaker 4: so is the market right? And you might have a
- 26:20Speaker 4: bigger edge now, but you're tying up your money for longer,
- 26:23Speaker 4: So when is it worth it? That's just so I
- 26:26Speaker 4: will have some futures or in the season now I
- 26:27Speaker 4: have fewer because I just think that there's so much
- 26:33Speaker 4: more uncertainty across board. I'm spending so much more time
- 26:37Speaker 4: trying to catch This is more it has to do
- 26:40Speaker 4: with with college football, but I'm probably gonna have a
- 26:43Speaker 4: lower volume of preseason bets and wind totals because if
- 26:47Speaker 4: you just get you have these teams, everyone is, you know,
- 26:51Speaker 4: blowing up their roster year in and year ound. If you're
- 26:54Speaker 4: if you're way off on one or one team in
- 26:56Speaker 4: a conference like it could just blow up all of
- 26:58Speaker 4: your your numbers. And so yes, that provides some opportunity,
- 27:03Speaker 4: but it definitely makes it more difficult. And then also
- 27:06Speaker 4: I have to spend way more time catching up, and
- 27:08Speaker 4: I'm doing college basketball. There's people that are catching up early,
- 27:11Speaker 4: so I tend to just now wait until all my
- 27:15Speaker 4: work is done later in the summer. But if there's
- 27:16Speaker 4: something that I really like and I don't mind tying
- 27:20Speaker 4: up the money and I think i'm I think I'm
- 27:22Speaker 4: gonna get a good number, you also have to weigh
- 27:24Speaker 4: what you think the market's gonna do. Right, if it's
- 27:30Speaker 4: a very say you like an under on like a
- 27:34Speaker 4: very public team, like a win total under, you know
- 27:38Speaker 4: you might be able to get a better number later
- 27:42Speaker 4: in the summer. So you have to weigh, like, all right,
- 27:43Speaker 4: do you think this is gonna move? Is it worth it?
- 27:46Speaker 4: How much do you think it's gonna move, So there's
- 27:48Speaker 4: a lot of different considerations. So, like always, it depends
- 27:53Speaker 4: just depends on.
- 27:54Speaker 3: I have a good example of this.
- 27:55Speaker 2: We thought that the AJ Brown trade would wind up
- 27:59Speaker 2: giving the Patriots an extra game in their win total.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Same thing if you think that something like that is coming,
- 28:05Speaker 2: or you know something like that might be coming. Everybody
- 28:07Speaker 2: seemed to know that it was the worst you know,
- 28:09Speaker 2: kept secret ever, so the market got ahead of that.
- 28:12Speaker 2: But I think if you're in that type of situation,
- 28:15Speaker 2: that's when you move, and if you're not, then you don't.
- 28:17Speaker 1: And it depends on what direction you're going in the week.
- 28:19Speaker 1: With the AJ Brown example, if you wanted to bet
- 28:22Speaker 1: the under, why would you on the Patriots? Why would
- 28:24Speaker 1: you do that before the AJ Brown news? So you
- 28:28Speaker 1: wait on that. To me, it's as simple as if
- 28:31Speaker 1: I think this is the best this number is going
- 28:34Speaker 1: to get, I'd just take it. I try not to.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I don't like to wrap up too much of my
- 28:37Speaker 1: bank role this early in the preseason. I just wait
- 28:44Speaker 1: for most until the preseason's wrapping up, and I know
- 28:47Speaker 1: most of my money at that point is going to
- 28:48Speaker 1: be allocated to football. But if you look at a
- 28:51Speaker 1: number and you say you have reasons why you think
- 28:55Speaker 1: it will shift, then bet it. It doesn't matter. I
- 29:00Speaker 1: bet that you placed in the NFL in June is
- 29:02Speaker 1: going to cash. The same if you're right, is if
- 29:04Speaker 1: you placed it at the end of August.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Let's go to one last, one last point. I'll make
- 29:09Speaker 4: it said if you if you can foresee a team
- 29:14Speaker 4: making a big splash, you know, in in May. Like
- 29:20Speaker 4: last year, I bet in April or May, I bet
- 29:23Speaker 4: the Packers twenty five to one to win the Super Bowl.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Like there were some rumblings out there about Michael Parsons.
- 29:32Speaker 4: So I said, Okay, I kind of like this Packers team.
- 29:36Speaker 4: I'm considering a future on them if I wait until August, right,
- 29:43Speaker 4: and I just put this, put this off, and then
- 29:45Speaker 4: they went out and get Parsons, and then not only
- 29:47Speaker 4: you know, you get someone like Parsons, which makes your
- 29:50Speaker 4: team inherently better. The hype. Right. We saw this with Giannis,
- 29:55Speaker 4: right that the hype then in the futures market for winning,
- 29:58Speaker 4: it just crashes a number. So that's when I think
- 30:03Speaker 4: it really makes sense to grab something early. I think
- 30:05Speaker 4: there's like a big future and a big price, and
- 30:08Speaker 4: some of these like to win Championship, to win a
- 30:11Speaker 4: Super Bowl. They can crash hard with like a stereot
- 30:15Speaker 4: their big move. So if you if you, if you
- 30:17Speaker 4: like a team and you think that there's a possibility
- 30:20Speaker 4: that they make a big splash, then I think it
- 30:22Speaker 4: can really make a significant difference if you get out
- 30:25Speaker 4: in front of that and not wait, because I mean
- 30:28Speaker 4: I think the Packers went down to like eighteen to
- 30:31Speaker 4: one immediately, and then they look good. Then they look
- 30:36Speaker 4: good early in the season, then it's just all of
- 30:38Speaker 4: a sudden, they're like at six to one.
- 30:41Speaker 1: One. Bet I'm never willing to make is right after
- 30:44Speaker 1: the big splash. That's that's one that I will That's
- 30:48Speaker 1: just a philosophy thing, never touched that. Hans from Florida says,
- 30:52Speaker 1: what is something you wish you did as a kid
- 30:54Speaker 1: so that you would have the skill now as an adult.
- 30:58Speaker 1: They said that I played a lot of golf I
- 31:00Speaker 1: wish I started, Or I play a lot of golf
- 31:02Speaker 1: I wish I had started when I was younger so
- 31:03Speaker 1: I would be better. Maybe it's an instrument, a guitar
- 31:07Speaker 1: or something like that. I'm sure we all have something
- 31:09Speaker 1: that you wish you had spent more time on. When
- 31:11Speaker 1: your brain was a sponge when you were younger, Like
- 31:14Speaker 1: learning a new language will be okay, go ahead, elaborate.
- 31:20Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I wish that I had learned
- 31:23Speaker 2: more Spanish or paid attention better in Spanish class than
- 31:26Speaker 2: I did, because that would be very helpful now that
- 31:29Speaker 2: I like to go everywhere all the time.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Locked, yeah, I've learned. I In seventh grade, we had
- 31:36Speaker 4: to choose between three languages to take in Spanish, French,
- 31:41Speaker 4: and German. And like most people took Spanish, and then
- 31:44Speaker 4: you do you would do like two weeks or I
- 31:47Speaker 4: think it was like a week in Spanish class a
- 31:49Speaker 4: week and it was really just like getting another teacher,
- 31:51Speaker 4: like a week in Spanish, or maybe it was three days,
- 31:53Speaker 4: three days in the French class, three days in the German.
- 31:56Speaker 4: Then you would pick one. And I picked German because
- 32:01Speaker 4: the teacher brought in fresh bread in nutele, so I
- 32:04Speaker 4: was like, that's that's all I need. So and then
- 32:07Speaker 4: I took German in high school, and then I ended
- 32:08Speaker 4: up taking German, and so I took German middle school.
- 32:11Speaker 4: Then I took German in high school, and then I
- 32:13Speaker 4: had extra free time in my senior year. I was
- 32:17Speaker 4: done with my major minor, so I got a minor
- 32:18Speaker 4: in German and I have not used German one time,
- 32:25Speaker 4: so I pretty much I used to speak fluent German.
- 32:27Speaker 4: I pretty much lost it. I think I told the
- 32:29Speaker 4: story how I embarrassed myself one time when I was
- 32:31Speaker 4: like twenty five, and I told so, I was in
- 32:34Speaker 4: a bar and I someone was from like Germany, and
- 32:39Speaker 4: I told them that I can speak fluent German and
- 32:40Speaker 4: they're like, oh, my friends from Germany. And they went
- 32:42Speaker 4: and they got their friend and she came over and
- 32:43Speaker 4: then started talking, and I was like, oh shit, I
- 32:46Speaker 4: definitely shouldn't te people I can speak fluent German because
- 32:49Speaker 4: you lose it. But and I've traveled all over though
- 32:53Speaker 4: I've never been to a country that speaks German, so like,
- 32:56Speaker 4: I'll go. I've been to so many Spanish speaking countries,
- 33:00Speaker 4: French speaking countries, and my wife speaks Spanish and French,
- 33:03Speaker 4: so she has to carry the conversation with locals. And
- 33:08Speaker 4: I just had.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I took German in college and I like was
- 33:11Speaker 2: just in Germany and it was fine, But I like,
- 33:12Speaker 2: I know, I.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Haven't been to Yeah, but you're a lot younger, like
- 33:15Speaker 4: over like I literally I haven't used it in eighteen years. Yeah,
- 33:22Speaker 4: so like not once except embarrassing myself trying to use it.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Like so like you just look over fifteen plus years
- 33:29Speaker 4: and then as your brain gets older, you like I
- 33:31Speaker 4: could still speak it. But like when I if I
- 33:34Speaker 4: was in order to have like a fast conversation, nah cooked,
- 33:39Speaker 4: But what was the question again?
- 33:41Speaker 3: Something you wish you had learned more when you were Oh,
- 33:44Speaker 3: I would.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Know before you answer that. I need to know did
- 33:46Speaker 1: you fake your way through that conversation with the fluent
- 33:49Speaker 1: German speaker or or did they did they see right
- 33:53Speaker 1: through you instantaneously?
- 33:56Speaker 4: I was like okay, I was just like giving basic
- 33:58Speaker 4: like yeah, and then asking like basic questions when and
- 34:03Speaker 4: then then they.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Were just like oh this guy is really shy.
- 34:06Speaker 4: And then no, I just got out of it and
- 34:10Speaker 4: I just got out of there, like oh I gotta
- 34:13Speaker 4: take this call or something. But something like a bullshitter,
- 34:19Speaker 4: something I wish I worth on more. Probably this is
- 34:23Speaker 4: something I'm doing right now? Is I am playing basketball
- 34:29Speaker 4: right now like a lot. I'm just shooting around like
- 34:31Speaker 4: every day because I'm like my kid's gonna want to play.
- 34:34Speaker 4: I have two reconstructed knees. So I gotta like, if
- 34:38Speaker 4: my kid wants to play, I gotta make sure I'm
- 34:41Speaker 4: okay to go to war with them on the court.
- 34:44Speaker 4: So I've just been shooting around a lot. I never
- 34:46Speaker 4: had my biggest downfall playing basketball, So I played basketball
- 34:51Speaker 4: whole life. Was I never had a shot, and I
- 34:53Speaker 4: would spend my off season playing football like I would
- 34:56Speaker 4: working out and then just bullshitting being a kid. But
- 35:00Speaker 4: I was just when I played basketball, I was just
- 35:01Speaker 4: known for my defense, and like there was I would,
- 35:06Speaker 4: you know, bring I would bring the ball up just
- 35:08Speaker 4: the other team would just sag off me like I
- 35:12Speaker 4: no shot ever. And that is just one thing that
- 35:16Speaker 4: if I had, I would have been a much better
- 35:18Speaker 4: basketball player. But it also would have just it's something
- 35:22Speaker 4: that I think once you're good at like it would
- 35:24Speaker 4: have just carried me. I could just play and like
- 35:26Speaker 4: men's leagues beat a shooter. But I when I was
- 35:30Speaker 4: a little kid working on my shot and just repetition,
- 35:34Speaker 4: I just didn't do it enough. I I kind of
- 35:38Speaker 4: dropped the ball there, and I wish I I wish
- 35:40Speaker 4: I just worked on shooting the basketball more.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Answers, Yeah, oh my god, you took the words right
- 35:49Speaker 1: out of my mouth as someone who has taken five
- 35:54Speaker 1: pilates classes in the last two months. It's I'm getting
- 35:57Speaker 1: embarrassed by reformer.
- 36:01Speaker 3: I do reformer plates. You go, girl, thank you.
- 36:05Speaker 1: But I'm the least flexible person in the class. And
- 36:07Speaker 1: I worked out with an eighty year old woman named
- 36:09Speaker 1: Barbara the other day, so it's just been kind of, uh,
- 36:12Speaker 1: been kind of rough for me.
- 36:14Speaker 2: I can't give my instructor's name because I don't want
- 36:15Speaker 2: people to be creepy and show up. But she's also
- 36:17Speaker 2: an older lady from New Jersey who kicks my ass.
- 36:21Speaker 1: So this lady was in the class, she was a
- 36:23Speaker 1: teacher in the class.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Mind's my instructor and she is on her shit.
- 36:28Speaker 1: I like that, stuckies is. I want to be better
- 36:31Speaker 1: at shooting so that I can dominate in the men's
- 36:33Speaker 1: league down the street. That's hysterical. I never learned how
- 36:39Speaker 1: to fix anything. I don't. I can't. I wish then
- 36:45Speaker 1: my dad was pretty good at it and just would
- 36:48Speaker 1: take care of it. It's, you know, it's like a
- 36:51Speaker 1: good dad thing to do. Just like, let me be
- 36:54Speaker 1: a kid and I'll take care of fixing shit around
- 36:56Speaker 1: the house. But in hindsight, I wish I had asked,
- 36:59Speaker 1: he would have taught me. I just didn't care. And
- 37:02Speaker 1: now my wife is significantly more handy than I am,
- 37:07Speaker 1: and it's embarrassing, Like my kid will learn how to
- 37:10Speaker 1: screw shit into the wall from my wife. That's about dame.
- 37:16Speaker 4: My wife fixes up everything, and I can't fix anything.
- 37:19Speaker 4: If I try, I'll end in a disaster.
- 37:22Speaker 1: And I know it shouldn't matter, but like, isn't there
- 37:25Speaker 1: a piece of your manhood that dies every time a
- 37:28Speaker 1: table is put together and you had nothing to do
- 37:30Speaker 1: with it.
- 37:31Speaker 4: No, I mean it's funny. I'll like start, I'll like start,
- 37:35Speaker 4: we'll get something has to be put together or something,
- 37:38Speaker 4: and then I'll just start and then I just know
- 37:41Speaker 4: my wife's going to be like, yeah, move out of
- 37:44Speaker 4: the way. So it is nice. I don't care, but
- 37:49Speaker 4: I do wish I was a little bit more handy.
- 37:51Speaker 4: I'm the least handiest person in the world.
- 37:54Speaker 1: All right, let's said a couple more and then we'll
- 37:56Speaker 1: wrap this up. Big Nick from Albuquerque, Stucky, simple question,
- 38:00Speaker 1: college football, college basketball, NFL. You can only watch one
- 38:04Speaker 1: this upcoming year, so just one year of your life
- 38:07Speaker 1: based on the question you can watch your bet or.
- 38:11Speaker 3: What is it all of the above?
- 38:14Speaker 1: It said watch. I think maybe you could bet on
- 38:16Speaker 1: all of them and just watch one.
- 38:21Speaker 4: Watch. I think I'm gonna choose. I'm gonna choose college basketball.
- 38:25Speaker 4: I mean it saw I live for all three sports.
- 38:30Speaker 4: But the reason I'm choosing college basketball it's my first love. March.
- 38:35Speaker 4: I would I don't know what I would do in
- 38:36Speaker 4: March if I couldn't watch college basketball. And it's just
- 38:39Speaker 4: the highest, like it has me covered from November until
- 38:46Speaker 4: early April, and it's on every single night, and the
- 38:52Speaker 4: number of teams in the volume of games. Additionally, it's
- 38:58Speaker 4: in order to like catch up right up, I'm betting
- 39:01Speaker 4: other sports. Watching these teams I think is super valuable,
- 39:08Speaker 4: especially early on in the season. But I think just
- 39:11Speaker 4: for the volume to shear volume and like every single
- 39:15Speaker 4: night from you know, and then sometimes during the day,
- 39:18Speaker 4: but like you know, starting at six, seven o'clock until
- 39:22Speaker 4: one two in the morning every single night, I'm gonna
- 39:26Speaker 4: go with college basketball. It would kill me on Sunday,
- 39:29Speaker 4: Saturdays and Sundays, I would be distraught. But the same
- 39:32Speaker 4: thing with in March. A tough question, but my gut
- 39:38Speaker 4: pool was college basketball Andrew.
- 39:41Speaker 1: This one feels like it's right up here alley. Have
- 39:44Speaker 1: you ever This is from a bridget from Ohio. Have
- 39:47Speaker 1: you ever traveled alone? Any tips? Thinking of taking a
- 39:51Speaker 1: euro trip next year, maybe Barcelona in Italy. Of all
- 39:55Speaker 1: of your travels, you ever done it by yourself?
- 39:57Speaker 2: I have traveled by myself a lot. I highly recommend
- 40:01Speaker 2: doing it. I don't know if I would.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Do Barcelona alone, just.
- 40:05Speaker 2: From like a pickpocketing kind of safety perspective. But once again,
- 40:10Speaker 2: I think that the US is like the one hundred
- 40:11Speaker 2: and thirtieth safest country in the world. So if you
- 40:14Speaker 2: want to go solo travel, girl, do it. This is
- 40:16Speaker 2: not a safe country anyway. Other places rule if you've
- 40:19Speaker 2: never solo traveled before, I would like to recommend doing
- 40:23Speaker 2: either like Sweden, Denmark, Norway, maybe mixing all three of
- 40:28Speaker 2: those just to kind of get your feet wet in
- 40:29Speaker 2: the solo travel world because they're safe and easy to
- 40:31Speaker 2: navigate and they speak a lot of English.
- 40:34Speaker 3: But yeah, I would, I'd go do it. I'd solo travel.
- 40:37Speaker 2: I've solo traveled most of the US by myself, a
- 40:39Speaker 2: lot of Europe alone. I haven't done any like South
- 40:42Speaker 2: American countries or anything alone, but like do it. The
- 40:44Speaker 2: world is not as scary as it seems online, I promise.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I add a lot about yourself and you travel alone, stucky,
- 40:50Speaker 1: what about you?
- 40:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I would say Barcelona is fine for I was
- 40:55Speaker 4: just there for pickpock and just get a like a crossbag,
- 41:00Speaker 4: like don't just keep anything in your pocket, and then.
- 41:03Speaker 1: You go to Ace, but yeah it can traveling.
- 41:09Speaker 4: On could be really cool and no matter where you go.
- 41:12Speaker 4: I would give two recommendations. One, like Earl, I do
- 41:16Speaker 4: this on every single international trip I've ever been on.
- 41:19Speaker 4: We'll get like a private guide to do something for
- 41:24Speaker 4: like the day, and I remember when we and then
- 41:26Speaker 4: sometimes they end up being like we'll just be like
- 41:27Speaker 4: we'll just hire them for the rest of the vacation.
- 41:33Speaker 4: But get a guide you can go to like just
- 41:35Speaker 4: buy a tour or something, right, And then they have
- 41:37Speaker 4: like private tours and.
- 41:39Speaker 3: Free walking tours are also really good.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Then they do those pretty much anywhere you make friends,
- 41:43Speaker 2: they'll give you like a list of places to go.
- 41:45Speaker 4: Yeah, and then like yeah, yeah, if you don't want
- 41:48Speaker 4: to pay for the like a private one, you can
- 41:49Speaker 4: do a group one. But you get to just getting
- 41:53Speaker 4: a feel of a city and then just getting recommendations
- 41:56Speaker 4: that's like hey, things that you wouldn't find online, like
- 41:59Speaker 4: local tips of that. Check out this restaurant, check out
- 42:01Speaker 4: this place, go to this vantage point. So doing that
- 42:05Speaker 4: early in the trip, like your first day, super important.
- 42:08Speaker 4: And then go when you go out to eat, sit
- 42:12Speaker 4: at the bar, and even if you're not a drinker,
- 42:16Speaker 4: just sit at the bar and you'll talk to the bartender. Well,
- 42:23Speaker 4: you'll have conversations with the bartender who will be more
- 42:27Speaker 4: almost every time, we'll be more than willing to share
- 42:30Speaker 4: tips and places to go. And then you're gonna be
- 42:33Speaker 4: around people that you'll probably end up talking to. And
- 42:38Speaker 4: that's an awesome part of traveling, just learning about other cultures,
- 42:43Speaker 4: other places, other people, and you'll probably get more tips
- 42:47Speaker 4: about what to see and what to do from a
- 42:49Speaker 4: local perspective. So, uh yeah, just do it and it'll
- 42:52Speaker 4: be it'll be fine. But I would say, get get
- 42:56Speaker 4: an early tour and then sit at the bar when
- 42:58Speaker 4: you go out to eat.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, one hundred percent.
- 43:01Speaker 2: The other thing I was gonna say is it's I
- 43:02Speaker 2: don't think Barcelona is dangerous from like a normal perspective,
- 43:06Speaker 2: I'm just saying, if you're not super well traveled and
- 43:07Speaker 2: you don't know how to keep your possessor possessions in
- 43:10Speaker 2: your pocket and stuff, like, Barcelona may not be the.
- 43:12Speaker 3: First place you want to go.
- 43:14Speaker 2: My other biggest tip, don't take your passport fucking anywhere.
- 43:18Speaker 3: Put it in your room and keep it there because
- 43:20Speaker 3: other places you only need to be eighteen to drink.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Leave that shit in your room.
- 43:23Speaker 4: Take a picture of it. Yes, always take a picture
- 43:26Speaker 4: of your passport.
- 43:27Speaker 3: All of your travel documents have photos.
- 43:30Speaker 4: And yeah, don't like and don't eat at. Don't get
- 43:38Speaker 4: the most touristy spots like, yes, where that's like if
- 43:41Speaker 4: you go to the like I'm thinking of Barcelona, like
- 43:44Speaker 4: the Ramblas, Like there's just these restaurants all along the
- 43:47Speaker 4: main this the most popular street. Don't eat it.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna say, if you want to know
- 43:54Speaker 2: that you're gonna have a good meal no matter what.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Download the Michelin app.
- 43:58Speaker 2: You can filter it whether you want to eat at
- 44:00Speaker 2: Michelin Stars or just Michelin Recommended or guided.
- 44:02Speaker 3: You do not have to eat expensive to eat Michelin.
- 44:05Speaker 2: There are like one dollar signed places on the Michelin
- 44:08Speaker 2: app and you can pull up a map closest to
- 44:10Speaker 2: wherever you are. If you want to eat nice, you can,
- 44:12Speaker 2: but it is a good way to guarantee that you
- 44:13Speaker 2: will eat while your entire trip.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Oh.
- 44:16Speaker 4: The one thing we were talking about things we wish
- 44:20Speaker 4: we worked on when we were a kid. One things
- 44:22Speaker 4: I wish I did when I was an adult is
- 44:25Speaker 4: there's an app. I think it's called Belly.
- 44:28Speaker 3: I have Belly.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Yeah, So I wish I did that. I don't know
- 44:31Speaker 4: how long it's been around, but I wish I'd done
- 44:35Speaker 4: that for as long as it's been around, because people
- 44:37Speaker 4: will be like, hey, I'm going here to this country,
- 44:40Speaker 4: and then worked or shy eat and then there's like
- 44:42Speaker 4: a couple of local restaurants that I fell in love with.
- 44:45Speaker 4: But I think back to like twenty nineteen, and I'm like,
- 44:48Speaker 4: where do we go to eat? When we were here?
- 44:51Speaker 4: And then when someone's going there, I will go back
- 44:53Speaker 4: into like my calendar and then look if we have reservations,
- 44:59Speaker 4: And hopefully he did. But if I had an app
- 45:01Speaker 4: and it's it is not familiar. It's a n app
- 45:02Speaker 4: where you you eat, you eat out somewhere and then
- 45:06Speaker 4: you rate it right after you eat and like it's
- 45:11Speaker 4: and then it'll show like your top restaurants and all
- 45:14Speaker 4: the cities that you've been to. But it's super number one.
- 45:16Speaker 4: It's super cool to be like, oh, here's my favorite
- 45:18Speaker 4: restaurants of all time. But it's also when someone's like
- 45:19Speaker 4: going somewhere that you've been, pull it out and be like,
- 45:23Speaker 4: oh this is where I was. I wish I did that,
- 45:24Speaker 4: but I didn't. So everything is just being forgotten slowly
- 45:30Speaker 4: in my head along with the German.
- 45:33Speaker 1: You have come to the right place if you want
- 45:35Speaker 1: to travel. Information from these two right here. Let's wrap
- 45:38Speaker 1: on speaking of food, because now I'm hungry thinking about
- 45:41Speaker 1: all these great restaurants across the world. Tim from Boston,
- 45:45Speaker 1: what would your death row or deathbed meal be?
- 45:50Speaker 3: Waffle House All.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Star Special, next question, bacon, scrambled eggs, extra crispy hash brown,
- 45:57Speaker 2: chocolate chip waffle, a biscuit instead of toast, with a
- 46:00Speaker 2: side of grits with extra pepper.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Never put any thought into that. I'm gonna go with
- 46:05Speaker 1: the filet, Magan macaroni and cheese, maybe some Maryland crab cakes.
- 46:13Speaker 3: You're gonna say marijuana.
- 46:16Speaker 1: I mean, I guess if I'm going out why not. Yeah,
- 46:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna need a dessert too, Then give me some
- 46:21Speaker 1: like double chocolate brownie. The molten that like molten thing
- 46:25Speaker 1: at Chili's is pretty good.
- 46:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, the cake goes.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Is it the best dessert out there?
- 46:32Speaker 2: No?
- 46:32Speaker 1: But do I know it's gonna deliver it. I'm gonna
- 46:34Speaker 1: die the next day anyway. So what's the difference, Stucky.
- 46:38Speaker 2: I'm starting a friend of mine, isn't it your chicken
- 46:42Speaker 2: parm or eggplant parm?
- 46:43Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely gonna be my wife's used to be, my
- 46:47Speaker 4: mom's to egg homeplant homemade eggplant parm from scratch. And
- 46:51Speaker 4: then the pasta homemade as well, from scratch. Ah, that's
- 46:56Speaker 4: the name. I want a whole cast role and then
- 47:00Speaker 4: a big dish of pasta. I'll and then I that
- 47:04Speaker 4: would just make me happy.
- 47:05Speaker 1: There.
- 47:06Speaker 4: If I'll start with like a caesar salad, I've been
- 47:08Speaker 4: a friend of mine and myself, I've been on the
- 47:12Speaker 4: search for the perfect caesar salad, and it's just it's
- 47:16Speaker 4: it's kind of disappointing how many like caesar salads are
- 47:22Speaker 4: on so many menus, right, because so many and there's
- 47:25Speaker 4: so many bad caesar salads. It's it's stunning that there
- 47:31Speaker 4: are so many bad Seas salads and it's so hard
- 47:33Speaker 4: to find. Like, oh my god, this caesar salad is.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Really good, prima best one ever you get.
- 47:42Speaker 1: You gotta get the flat parmesan cheese. That's when you
- 47:45Speaker 1: know you've got a good I've learned the shreds.
- 47:49Speaker 4: I like both. I shreds, and then I like the
- 47:51Speaker 4: shaved on top.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to have the shaved on top. But
- 47:54Speaker 2: I've learned that I don't think I like the traditional creuton.
- 47:58Speaker 2: I like the like baked, like crass, like the bread crumb,
- 48:04Speaker 2: not the crewton.
- 48:04Speaker 4: The crumb I like them. I like some crewtons. And
- 48:08Speaker 4: I also like a big palm crisp. But yeah, and
- 48:15Speaker 4: I grew up with like my mom would make me
- 48:18Speaker 4: the authentic caesar, like wooden bowl, raw egg and like, uh.
- 48:26Speaker 3: What olive oil, anchovy paste.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Yeah, and then garlic, grind it all down, mix it in. Uh,
- 48:34Speaker 4: then like actual anchovies in there so uh and then
- 48:41Speaker 4: afrigatta for dessert.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Fuck you guys, I'm starving.
- 48:50Speaker 3: Make some bacon.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Production is making fun of me for calling it flat par.
- 48:57Speaker 3: The farm is crazy.
- 49:00Speaker 4: Let's wrap.
- 49:01Speaker 1: It's time for our draft Kings plant the flag segment
- 49:04Speaker 1: of the week might flag in a shut up.
- 49:07Speaker 4: I'm trying to plant my flag here.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Okay, you're really planning your flag in that thing. The
- 49:12Speaker 1: US men's team taking on Turkey A. Who's the cultured one?
- 49:15Speaker 1: Now to nights and Turkey A. But yeah, that's what
- 49:20Speaker 1: I said, Turkey YA. Let's go with an SGP. Let's
- 49:23Speaker 1: build one together over on draft Kings, Kendra get us started.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna go the USA to win minus one fifteen.
- 49:31Speaker 2: I know nobody cares about this game on the team
- 49:33Speaker 2: because they've already advanced.
- 49:34Speaker 3: But TURKEYA Krabats, I.
- 49:37Speaker 2: Don't think that they're gonna throw anything at the USA
- 49:39Speaker 2: that they can't handle. I think some of the depth
- 49:41Speaker 2: for the US is even better than the starters for
- 49:43Speaker 2: Turkey A. If that's the way they decide to go.
- 49:46Speaker 2: So I'm gonna say we're fighting on. We're moving on
- 49:48Speaker 2: hashtag USA. You can put gunshots, sounds, and eagles here
- 49:52Speaker 2: a few soaches.
- 49:53Speaker 1: I had not a lot of urgency in this one,
- 49:56Speaker 1: so I'm gonna I'm gonna target the first half under
- 49:59Speaker 1: one a half minus one eighty nine. So if we're
- 50:03Speaker 1: gonna if we're gonna come out a little flat because
- 50:05Speaker 1: the game doesn't matter. I don't expect a ton of scoring. Stucky,
- 50:09Speaker 1: what about you.
- 50:11Speaker 4: I know nothing about soccer, so don't take my advice.
- 50:13Speaker 4: But if we're throwing something in, get a little parliament DraftKings,
- 50:16Speaker 4: I'm gonna I'm just throwing both teams at score. My
- 50:18Speaker 4: reasoning is, this game just doesn't mean anything to the US,
- 50:22Speaker 4: So like they can play a little freer, right, It's
- 50:24Speaker 4: not like they need to. We can't let it give
- 50:26Speaker 4: up a goal and then turk Keia. But Turkey is
- 50:32Speaker 4: like they're out of it, right, but they still haven't.
- 50:35Speaker 4: When was the last time they won a game in
- 50:36Speaker 4: the World Cup. I don't know, but it's probably been
- 50:38Speaker 4: a long time, I think. So they want to result here,
- 50:42Speaker 4: which means if it's if it's you know, zero zero
- 50:50Speaker 4: in the eightieth minute, they're not gonna be like all right, cool, right,
- 50:55Speaker 4: Like they're they're going home after this. So they're gonna
- 50:59Speaker 4: like towards the end, they're gonna play super wide open.
- 51:01Speaker 3: They're sending the keeper up.
- 51:02Speaker 4: And then there's probablynna be vulnerable to some counters, and
- 51:06Speaker 4: so yeah, that might be a reason to bet the
- 51:10Speaker 4: full match over as well. It's very very difficult match
- 51:14Speaker 4: to handicap as someone who knows nothing anyway, But just
- 51:17Speaker 4: from an outsider perpective, this is essentially a friendly, right
- 51:20Speaker 4: Like Turkey's eliminated, the US has already moved on. They
- 51:23Speaker 4: can't improve their positioning, so they're going to I assume
- 51:27Speaker 4: rest players that have yellows or injury concerns, and then
- 51:32Speaker 4: what do they decide? What do they want to work on? Like,
- 51:34Speaker 4: but they're also playing at home, right, so like we
- 51:37Speaker 4: saw that with Mexico who ended up winning. They're they're
- 51:41Speaker 4: playing because you're not playing for anything, you're resting with
- 51:42Speaker 4: you're playing at home still, so you still have you
- 51:46Speaker 4: still care? So and then Worre's what's Turkey's mindset? I'm
- 51:51Speaker 4: sure they still want to get a win, Whens. I
- 51:54Speaker 4: don't know when the last time Turkey won a World Cup?
- 51:57Speaker 3: When is they've never won a World Cup?
