- 0:58Speaker 2: So let's get into this conversation.
- 1:00Speaker 3: The first thing that I want to start with is
- 1:03Speaker 3: a company that is near and dear to our hearts.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Ian Ian's has been pre chating this company for a
- 1:10Speaker 3: long time. So last week Microsoft made news by surpassing
- 1:15Speaker 3: Apple and now has the largest market cap out of
- 1:19Speaker 3: any country. So I think is a company company company
- 1:23Speaker 3: is like a country or a lot of countries if
- 1:26Speaker 3: it's like two point six trillion dollars in market cap. So,
- 1:31Speaker 3: and you know, I made a post about how the
- 1:33Speaker 3: stock has gone up since last year. It's up sixty percent.
- 1:37Speaker 3: It's up like thirty percent in the last six months.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Over the last ten years, Microsoft stock is up eleven
- 1:42Speaker 3: one hundred percent. Of course, you know, Shout the nineteen
- 1:44Speaker 3: Keys talked about the HoloLens of Microsoft, and now we're
- 1:48Speaker 3: talking about metaverse things.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Stvery episode. If you guys haven't seen.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It classic, it's actually a classic.
- 1:52Speaker 3: So I think I have to say it still surprises
- 1:55Speaker 3: me that people overlook Microsoft and they always they don't
- 1:58Speaker 3: give Microsoft, I don't think enough credit. So can we
- 2:02Speaker 3: talk about Microsoft? What does this mean? And why don't
- 2:05Speaker 3: people fully appreciate Microsoft.
- 2:09Speaker 5: It's pretty bland, right, It's like the old consistent company
- 2:14Speaker 5: that never goes away, that just keeps innovating and keeps winning.
- 2:17Speaker 5: And so it's it's easy to say, like, oh, I
- 2:19Speaker 5: don't want to pay goods and they're always winning, but
- 2:21Speaker 5: you should because this is staple and we said this,
- 2:23Speaker 5: we told people, you know, I think we gave them
- 2:25Speaker 5: a year warning. We said this is going to be
- 2:26Speaker 5: the stock of twenty twenty one, said the decade, and
- 2:30Speaker 5: they laughed. I know, I said twenty twenty like this
- 2:33Speaker 5: is it, and I'm like, look, this is going to
- 2:35Speaker 5: be it if you look at what they did last quarter,
- 2:37Speaker 5: right A Zori and I want to pronounce.
- 2:39Speaker 4: It, right? Is it Zori Zorayeah?
- 2:42Speaker 5: They were up just the cloud service right because a
- 2:44Speaker 5: lot of people don't really underestimate what cloud services do
- 2:47Speaker 5: for a company, like what what AWS does for Amazon
- 2:50Speaker 5: A Zori does for Microsoft. It was up forty seven
- 2:52Speaker 5: percent this quarter, forty seven percent more than Google, which
- 2:56Speaker 5: has YouTube, right forty seven percent. The revenue is out
- 3:00Speaker 5: of this world. But the reason and I'll let you
- 3:03Speaker 5: talk about Microsoft, but we got to go into the
- 3:05Speaker 5: reason why maybe surpass them because a couple companies missed there.
- 3:09Speaker 6: So I'll go into that after you talking. You got
- 3:12Speaker 6: people have to realize and we talked about it with
- 3:15Speaker 6: Nigerian and perception. People try to brand Microsoft as a
- 3:18Speaker 6: boring company because of the Bomber years. You can make
- 3:22Speaker 6: your argument after Tim Cook, Microsoft probably has the second.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Best CEO in all of tech.
- 3:29Speaker 6: I think that Microsoft will eventually have the number one
- 3:32Speaker 6: cloud company. They in five or ten years, there'll be
- 3:34Speaker 6: number one in healthcare. And as this race we talk
- 3:37Speaker 6: about later in the metaverse, he's up. They're going to
- 3:41Speaker 6: be prime to take that space over as well. And
- 3:43Speaker 6: they haven't even announced their cryptocurrency project. This is like
- 3:46Speaker 6: the moment for the culture when Jay came out with
- 3:49Speaker 6: Hard Knock Life and everybody woke up and was like,
- 3:51Speaker 6: whoa biggie wasn't next to him? Okay, this is like
- 3:56Speaker 6: their Hard Knock Life moment. They haven't even made Blueprint
- 3:59Speaker 6: one Black album yet.
- 4:01Speaker 4: With their crypto project.
- 4:02Speaker 6: I've been screaming two tech, two Index, Apple and Microsoft
- 4:05Speaker 6: forever and even during the Bomber years when it was flat,
- 4:09Speaker 6: that was a great time to build a base. I'm
- 4:11Speaker 6: looking at the chart now. In twenty sixteen it was
- 4:14Speaker 6: at fifty seven dollars and twenty eight cent is now
- 4:16Speaker 6: at three twenty seven. They have thirty one percent for
- 4:19Speaker 6: the year for a trillion dollar market cap company.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Write this down.
- 4:24Speaker 6: Best strategy is to invest in the number one player
- 4:27Speaker 6: in the space. So number one crypto, number one real
- 4:30Speaker 6: estate company, number one cloud, number one Tech, number one fintech.
- 4:35Speaker 6: That's an easy formula to use, and Microsoft is not
- 4:37Speaker 6: going to give up this position anytime soon.
- 4:40Speaker 4: One of the greatest of all time.
- 4:42Speaker 5: With our question, that's why I like that analogy who's
- 4:45Speaker 5: the best MC's bigge jy Z and NAS And I
- 4:46Speaker 5: was like, wait, who jay Z?
- 4:48Speaker 4: Yeah, jay Z's been here. Yeah, so it's been here.
- 4:51Speaker 5: NAS has been here for some piece of big But yeah,
- 4:53Speaker 5: I mean, like, like you said, it's something that works
- 4:56Speaker 5: so well that people doubt it, and it's been working
- 4:59Speaker 5: so well, it's like, yeah, why would we invest in that?
- 5:01Speaker 4: But we talked about there.
- 5:02Speaker 6: I've never seen people turn down an easy thirty five
- 5:05Speaker 6: percent in my life. I know everyone wants the ones
- 5:08Speaker 6: to shoot up a thousand, but you don't want to
- 5:10Speaker 6: risk associated with and if you've invested in this.
- 5:15Speaker 5: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.
- 5:17Speaker 5: A lot of people think podcasts about work are boring,
- 5:20Speaker 5: and sure they definitely can be, but understanding of professionals

- 5:28Speaker 5: day after day. It's like banking with P and C Bank,
- 5:32Speaker 5: it might seem boring to save plan and make calculated

- 7:40Speaker 6: Put your money on Microsoft, Please put it in chat.
- 7:42Speaker 6: If you've invested in Microsoft, have you ever woke up
- 7:45Speaker 6: and been worried about your money.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I know I haven't. I know I haven't not once
- 7:51Speaker 4: yeah once.
- 7:53Speaker 3: And Microsoft the heavy backer of XLM seller lumis.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yes, we talked about it that last week.
- 8:01Speaker 3: So yeah, when you look at the company, you gotta
- 8:03Speaker 3: look at all this other verticals that is that's involved
- 8:06Speaker 3: with and Microsoft one of these companies that it's not
- 8:11Speaker 3: the most exciting company in the world.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I'll be honest.
- 8:13Speaker 3: It has nowhere near the level of excitement that like
- 8:16Speaker 3: Apple has. It's like Apple is like Nike and Microsoft
- 8:20Speaker 3: is like rebound, Like, let's do it. I'm just saying
- 8:23Speaker 3: it's level with excitement. Nobody's excited.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Yeah, but you still got that you got something.
- 8:28Speaker 6: There are more There are more people excited over Sweetie
- 8:32Speaker 6: than they were Michelle Obama. But Michelle Obama is more
- 8:36Speaker 6: pieces and soul.
- 8:38Speaker 2: You have to.
- 8:40Speaker 6: We're recording one of your face, So Hi, so.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Special go The only way if.
- 8:52Speaker 6: I can make the argument that Microsoft hasn't branded themselves
- 8:56Speaker 6: or rebranded themselves as sexier, so they can slowly take over,
- 9:01Speaker 6: because if it wasn't for those Bamber years, that there
- 9:03Speaker 6: would be no Apple. Like Bamber, I don't want anybody
- 9:07Speaker 6: to go to jail, but he should be jailed for
- 9:09Speaker 6: how bad his performance was while he was CEO of Apple.
- 9:13Speaker 6: And we have to look at the founder. Steve was
- 9:17Speaker 6: not better than Bill. They got ahead because Tim took
- 9:20Speaker 6: over and Tim had an easier competitor in comparison. But
- 9:23Speaker 6: if you look at Microsoft CEO in his beginnings, the
- 9:26Speaker 6: humble beginnings, all the focuses on being better and not
- 9:30Speaker 6: on the flashiness of.
- 9:33Speaker 4: The company.
- 9:33Speaker 6: Microsoft is what Tesla, what people want Tesla to be
- 9:36Speaker 6: for sure?
- 9:37Speaker 4: Yeah, Tesla wow.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 5: And so the reason and I wanted to talk about
- 9:42Speaker 5: that really quickly, the reason why it became the number
- 9:44Speaker 5: one company as far as market cap is because Apple
- 9:47Speaker 5: missed on his urge.
- 9:48Speaker 4: And so we talked about Apple and some of the things.
- 9:50Speaker 5: But I want to put things into context, right when
- 9:53Speaker 5: when people are talking about missing on revenue, they're really
- 9:56Speaker 5: just missing on expectations that somebody has put out, like
- 9:58Speaker 5: Wall Street has put out in expectation. But if you
- 10:00Speaker 5: really peel back the numbers, right, I'm gonna run down
- 10:02Speaker 5: to listen to this, all right, So the revenue was
- 10:05Speaker 5: up twenty nine percent year over year. The iPhone numbers
- 10:08Speaker 5: were up forty seven percent year over year. The service
- 10:11Speaker 5: numbers were up twenty five percent year over year. The
- 10:13Speaker 5: MacBook numbers were only up one point six percent year
- 10:16Speaker 5: over year. Obviously we know what the supply chain issues
- 10:19Speaker 5: that you know that that plays a major.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Role in it.
- 10:21Speaker 5: And then the iPad numbers were up twenty one percent
- 10:24Speaker 5: year over year. So the numbers are still increasing. So
- 10:26Speaker 5: people are like, wait, miss this numbers? Should we not
- 10:28Speaker 5: be investing in Apple? No, no, folks, that's not what
- 10:31Speaker 5: this means. Don't ever not invest in Apples?
- 10:33Speaker 2: Wrong?
- 10:34Speaker 5: No, Yeah, these companies are amazing companies. Yes, there will
- 10:39Speaker 5: be times when they will miss in a quarter. This
- 10:41Speaker 5: is one of those times. The same thing with with
- 10:42Speaker 5: with Amazon. Yeah, amazonssag that like.
- 10:46Speaker 6: Two Jordans and ninety six jordan on the same team
- 10:49Speaker 6: if they missed one shot, are you swapping them out
- 10:51Speaker 6: for Tim harderway like the shout of Tim hardaware, But
- 10:54Speaker 6: you're not going to change them no matter what. So
- 10:57Speaker 6: going back, I know we haven't done in a while
- 10:58Speaker 6: with the basketball or that knowlogy, But if I can
- 11:00Speaker 6: get the best three players of all time, I'm not
- 11:04Speaker 6: gonna move. I don't care what comes on the court
- 11:07Speaker 6: or what's available. Those are going to produce a year
- 11:09Speaker 6: over year month after month. And for you business owners,
- 11:12Speaker 6: I keep telling you who's going to produce more money
- 11:16Speaker 6: for your company consistently? Apple, Microsoft, Tesla or the employees
- 11:20Speaker 6: and consultants that you have. Now you know the answer,
- 11:23Speaker 6: like I know the answer unless you got the kind
- 11:25Speaker 6: of infrastructure that we have.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Apple.
- 11:27Speaker 6: Microsoft's crazy.
- 11:31Speaker 3: My graduates from my school being forced.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Back drop bag drop, Mike, drop backdrop.
- 11:50Speaker 8: Coach, The energy out there felt different. What changed for
- 11:53Speaker 8: the team today?
- 11:54Speaker 7: It was the new game day scratches from the California
- 11:56Speaker 7: Lottery players everything.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Those games sent the team's energy through.
- 11:59Speaker 8: The Are you saying it was the off field play
- 12:02Speaker 8: that made the difference on the field.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Hey, little play makes your day, and today it made
- 12:06Speaker 6: the game. That's awfu Now, Coach.
- 12:08Speaker 8: One more question played the new Los Angeles Chargers, San
- 12:11Speaker 8: Francisco forty nine Ers and Los Angeles Rams scratchers from
- 12:14Speaker 8: the California Lottery. A little play can make your day.
- 12:17Speaker 8: Peace play responsibily. Must be eighteen years or older to
- 12:19Speaker 8: purchase plate or claim
