- 3:05Speaker 2: we have Thanksgiving on Thursday, and a lot of people
- 3:09Speaker 2: is dealing trying to cope with getting through the holidays,
- 3:17Speaker 2: whether you lost a loved one. We're gonna talk to Casey,
- 3:23Speaker 2: who's currently incarcerated in Texas. He was giving me a
- 3:29Speaker 2: little insight on how he was dealing with mental illness
- 3:34Speaker 2: and I can't wait for you guys to hear his
- 3:37Speaker 2: story right now. I'm dealing all right. I'm gonna be
- 3:44Speaker 2: transparent right now. I really didn't want to come on tonight.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I was trying to find an excuse not to do
- 3:54Speaker 2: my my show tonight because because you know, grief, it
- 4:03Speaker 2: hits and when it hits it's unexpectedly. Don't nobody know
- 4:09Speaker 2: when when you want to go into that little moment.
- 4:14Speaker 2: So before Cornell call me, I just want to I
- 4:19Speaker 2: pulled this up on how to cope with grief. Let
- 4:26Speaker 2: me get this because now Cornell is calling me and
- 4:30Speaker 2: then we'll get back to the what I was saying.
- 4:38Speaker 3: And Connolly units.
- 4:40Speaker 1: This call is being recorded and it's subject to monitoring. Please,
- 4:45Speaker 1: we're going to a whole little change.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Now.
- 4:47Speaker 1: They got a whole little spell they want to talk about.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Just bear with us.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Order for details.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Thank you to accept charges chress, Thank you for using secures.
- 4:59Speaker 1: You may start the converse.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Okay, so we have Cornell on right now. I just
- 5:04Speaker 2: want to go ahead and I just want to read
- 5:06Speaker 2: this statement real quick. To cope with grief during the holidays,
- 5:10Speaker 2: it is important to acknowledge your feeling, set realistic expectation,
- 5:17Speaker 2: prioritize self care, create new traditions that honor your loved ones,
- 5:24Speaker 2: communicate your needs to others, and allow yourself to participate
- 5:30Speaker 2: in activities that feel comfortable, while also accepting that you
- 5:36Speaker 2: may need to decline certain events or leave leave EARLYF
- 5:45Speaker 2: needed to tell you everything that I just read to you.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I basically had did it. I had declined certain invitations.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I had left birthday parties early, which was my grandson
- 6:05Speaker 2: because it was like a black cloud.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That was flying over me. And now.
- 6:11Speaker 2: That Thanksgiving is Thursday, Thanksgiving was Kyo's favorite holiday. And
- 6:19Speaker 2: I can tell you like I can hear him saying, Mama,
- 6:22Speaker 2: what are you cooking? Are you gonna cook some dressing?
- 6:25Speaker 2: Are you gonna do potato salad? Because potato salad was
- 6:28Speaker 2: one of his favorites, as well as sweet potato pie.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And you know, just to sit there and just to
- 6:35Speaker 2: watch him eat. How he enjoyed his food, you know,
- 6:39Speaker 2: and he would be frank. If he didn't like some,
- 6:42Speaker 2: he'll let you know, hey, that didn't taste good. But
- 6:44Speaker 2: he never said that about my cooking. Take care of yourself,
- 6:54Speaker 2: get up, do something, move around, you know, even if
- 6:57Speaker 2: it's going to buy a new outfit, you know, just
- 7:02Speaker 2: take care of yourself, love on yourself, give yourself that
- 7:05Speaker 2: time to reflect on special moments that you had with
- 7:10Speaker 2: your loved one and then smell the flowers. Do something
- 7:18Speaker 2: that they will want you to do, Do something that
- 7:21Speaker 2: will remember them. With Kyo, he always wanted to go
- 7:27Speaker 2: to college, but I procrastinated in helping him get enrolled.
- 7:33Speaker 2: So in honor of my son, I enrolled in college. Yes,
- 7:41Speaker 2: I am taking college classes. I'm going to Stray University.
- 7:47Speaker 2: My major is business with a minor and criminal justice.
- 7:53Speaker 2: So I'm doing that in honor and of my son.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I also decide he like he was. He liked it
- 8:01Speaker 1: to work out, So I'm not gonna say.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say that I'm just out there exercising,
- 8:11Speaker 2: you know, but I do. I do do it every
- 8:17Speaker 2: now and then. And but the only thing that I
- 8:21Speaker 2: don't do. When I walk out the house, I hear
- 8:23Speaker 2: roosters crawing in the morning, and that boy will always
- 8:27Speaker 2: crawl like a rooster every morning, and it would just
- 8:31Speaker 2: work my nerves. But you know, I miss them things
- 8:36Speaker 2: and those of the moments that I reflect.
- 8:39Speaker 1: On to get me through things.
- 8:41Speaker 2: You know, reach out to loved ones, Talk to loved ones,
- 8:45Speaker 2: don't hide your feelings. Let him know what you are
- 8:50Speaker 2: going through that at that moment, and at that time,
- 8:55Speaker 2: you know, into the family members. When you have someone
- 8:59Speaker 2: that's grieving, that's going through that moment, let them vent
- 9:04Speaker 2: till you, let them.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Discuss to you. You know, let them say what they're
- 9:08Speaker 1: going through at that time, you know, and let it
- 9:11Speaker 1: get off my It'll passed. You know. We may cry,
- 9:15Speaker 1: we may.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Just get silent, but just listen to us until we
- 9:20Speaker 2: feel comfort, till we feel better. I was having I
- 9:24Speaker 2: made a statement to someone that I needed a mental day.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I needed a mental day. I just wanted just to
- 9:34Speaker 2: basically take care of myself that day because I do
- 9:37Speaker 2: so much for everybody and I forget about myself.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I forget about myself a lot. But I just needed
- 9:50Speaker 1: a mental break.
- 9:51Speaker 2: And that person laughed at me and was like, what
- 9:55Speaker 2: do you need a mental break? Yes, I needed a
- 9:59Speaker 2: mental break, and you know, I felt like, you know,
- 10:02Speaker 2: like I shouldn't have said that to that person, or
- 10:05Speaker 2: you know, certain things I'm learning not to discuss with
- 10:09Speaker 2: certain people because of the back of what they make
- 10:15Speaker 2: what they say to me, and it makes me angry.
- 10:18Speaker 2: And then I isolate myself from people, you know, really,
- 10:23Speaker 2: you know, I love being around my sisters and my
- 10:27Speaker 2: and my family. I love being around my family, but
- 10:31Speaker 2: since this happened, I kind of isolate myself from them,
- 10:36Speaker 2: and I hate that I do because it's taken me
- 10:42Speaker 2: a while to get back to where I was. I
- 10:45Speaker 2: won't be the schanette that I was last year because
- 10:50Speaker 2: I'm going through something, so just bear with me. Also,
- 10:56Speaker 2: you see that I'm getting ready to write a book
- 11:02Speaker 2: and I will give you guys more detailers on that
- 11:05Speaker 2: because I do have Cornell and my guests.
- 11:08Speaker 1: On there, and I know that.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Time is money, money is time. Welcome Cornell, How are
- 11:18Speaker 2: you doing this evening?
- 11:21Speaker 1: Okay? Hello, how are you? Man?
- 11:25Speaker 3: I'm doing great tonight. How are you?
- 11:29Speaker 1: I am doing good.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I just had a mental moment earlier, but I'm I'm
- 11:36Speaker 2: I'm doing better.
- 11:37Speaker 1: You know I'm doing better.
- 11:38Speaker 2: I appreciate that you called and you checked up all
- 11:42Speaker 2: me throughout today. I talked to Angela, talk to a
- 11:48Speaker 2: few family members and stuff. But I'm doing much better
- 11:52Speaker 2: right now. So go ahead and introduce yourself and so
- 11:57Speaker 2: we can bring our special guests on this evening.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Oh say, my name is mister Cornell. Jon I'm a
- 12:04Speaker 3: co host of us talk about It and I am
- 12:07Speaker 3: and in course you rat in the diet for thirty
- 12:09Speaker 3: four yunions here in the Texic Department. Come on Justice
- 12:12Speaker 3: Constitutional Revision. I am about to be here, and thank
- 12:16Speaker 3: you very much for allowing to meet us opportunity to
- 12:19Speaker 3: be on your show.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Man, Well, you're welcome. It is our show. It's just
- 12:25Speaker 2: just not mine, you know. You, guys, we got a
- 12:29Speaker 2: surprise for you. We doing We're gonna do something when
- 12:32Speaker 2: we come back in twenty twenty five. We're doing a
- 12:36Speaker 2: whole new thing. And but right now we it's in
- 12:40Speaker 2: the work, so we're not gonna let the cat out
- 12:43Speaker 2: the bag just yet. So who you have for us
- 12:47Speaker 2: this evening, Cornell.
- 12:51Speaker 4: Well, I might have a very very special guest names
- 12:54Speaker 4: to Casey Water and he's a very very popular and uh,
- 12:57Speaker 4: and and your individual here and the technic coming to
- 13:01Speaker 4: come out, just.
- 13:01Speaker 3: The substitutional division, and I have them on tonight, and
- 13:05Speaker 3: you would like to speak tonight regarding number you listen
- 13:08Speaker 3: and depressions and stuff like that. Man, So if you
- 13:11Speaker 3: wouldn't allow him to introduce yourself.
- 13:13Speaker 4: In this movie, great for you.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yes I do, I am dood, I'm.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Yeah and uh apparently prostrated the Text Apartment Criminal Justice.
- 13:29Speaker 3: I have a lot of experience talking to individuals for
- 13:34Speaker 3: the brief and trauma, and I'm an advocate in the
- 13:37Speaker 3: Text Apartment Criminal Justice be made. Just want the situations
- 13:42Speaker 3: that they need outside help, that they don't know how
- 13:44Speaker 3: to fight for themselves. M.
- 13:47Speaker 2: So, you know, we just had a brief conversation, probably
- 13:53Speaker 2: no less than fifteen minutes ago. I wanted you to,
- 13:58Speaker 2: if you don't mind, M, let's talk about what you
- 14:06Speaker 2: were just telling me about. Let's start from the beginning,
- 14:10Speaker 2: you know, let's bring everybody up to speed.
- 14:16Speaker 3: At this particular time and moment that there's a rapid
- 14:22Speaker 3: epidemic of suicide in prison, especially doing the holiday seem
- 14:26Speaker 3: especially more so. Right now, we've had four individuals that
- 14:30Speaker 3: killed themselves, two of them are new And the part
- 14:34Speaker 3: of being in that point depression where you feel like
- 14:36Speaker 3: that you can't go to you want to talk to anyone,
- 14:39Speaker 3: you gotta realize prison lacks empathy and sympathy from the
- 14:43Speaker 3: human beings, and with that lack of consideration or men
- 14:48Speaker 3: could be hard on other men, especially black men, could
- 14:51Speaker 3: be hard on other black men because they feel like
- 14:53Speaker 3: we have a certain uh, they have a certain standard
- 14:59Speaker 3: that we we have to meet as being who we are,
- 15:02Speaker 3: especially being in prison, and not there's no respect of
- 15:07Speaker 3: own dairies or what are you going through? Because that's
- 15:12Speaker 3: the point of weakness that they seeing and someone going
- 15:15Speaker 3: through an issue. H I have no wants say I'm
- 15:22Speaker 3: hard on other individuals that attack people in there. Down right,
- 15:27Speaker 3: I can defend myself and I have the capability of
- 15:31Speaker 3: defending others. So a lot of people come to me
- 15:35Speaker 3: in safety because they feel that they feel secure talking
- 15:38Speaker 3: to me, because I allow them to relieve themselves and
- 15:43Speaker 3: purish themselves of whatever negative they have going on the
- 15:47Speaker 3: side of not forgid me. To listen to individuals, you
- 15:50Speaker 3: got to let them. You've got to let them get
- 15:53Speaker 3: whatever they have going inside of them out and you
- 15:56Speaker 3: have to be a person that can listen and then
- 16:00Speaker 3: and if they want advice, you have to be able
- 16:03Speaker 3: to understand what kind of advice that you can give
- 16:05Speaker 3: to an individual that they're going through a certain type
- 16:07Speaker 3: of situation. Like I briefly heard a bus about what
- 16:11Speaker 3: you're going through, how it's hard on you. My poses
- 16:15Speaker 3: are are really upon you for your loss. And I
- 16:18Speaker 3: understand about situations like that. I lost the fun of
- 16:21Speaker 3: myself and it's it's hard. It's hard going through the
- 16:25Speaker 3: holidays when you don't have that individual there, that presence
- 16:31Speaker 3: that that it's like somebody snatched, they snatched something out
- 16:35Speaker 3: of your heart. And a lot of people they feel
- 16:38Speaker 3: like that, Okay, it's be a couple of months, it
- 16:41Speaker 3: built a couple of days and ship ship, be back yourself.
- 16:44Speaker 4: But it's not.
- 16:45Speaker 3: That's a lifetime access of that presence. That's a part
- 16:49Speaker 3: of you, and that's you know, and that you can't
- 16:53Speaker 3: replace that. You can't you can't replace the laughter, you
- 16:57Speaker 3: can't replace the smart you can't replace the conversations. You
- 17:02Speaker 3: can't replace the bond that a child, that a parent
- 17:06Speaker 3: has to a child. So I understand and I've sympathize
- 17:11Speaker 3: with you, but it takes time. Yeah, and a lot
- 17:14Speaker 3: of people try to rush you through your through your experience.
- 17:17Speaker 3: You can't rush me through what I'm going through because
- 17:20Speaker 3: only God is gonna allow me to strengthen to Him
- 17:23Speaker 3: and to be able to survive there. Because it's a
- 17:26Speaker 3: survival mode right now. And you gotta learn how to
- 17:30Speaker 3: You gotta learn how to adapt and to overcome. And
- 17:35Speaker 3: this is something that only time can. Time will tell
- 17:38Speaker 3: us when it's gonna be for you to be able
- 17:40Speaker 3: to go through what you're going through. This is your experience,
- 17:44Speaker 3: no matter how people and somebody else may feel about it.
- 17:47Speaker 3: You're they're not you. Let me they can't experience what
- 17:50Speaker 3: you experienced.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Right, let me jump in right quick. You said that
- 17:54Speaker 1: you had lost a child. Yeah, was it why you
- 17:59Speaker 1: was in class or before you was incarcerated while.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I was inconcrated during the.
- 18:06Speaker 1: COVID How did you cope with that?
- 18:10Speaker 2: How did you deal with the loss of a child
- 18:14Speaker 2: while you, you know, being incarcerated.
- 18:22Speaker 3: If it's an experience, you gotta just right, you gotta
- 18:28Speaker 3: you gotta do. I I I indulge myself to scripture, huh,
- 18:36Speaker 3: and I wrobed God to heal my heart lost and
- 18:40Speaker 3: the experience, and then I I meditate. I meditate on
- 18:46Speaker 3: the word. I try to exercise that in my life,
- 18:50Speaker 3: and I just try to just remember things that I
- 18:53Speaker 3: do that I that I've seen about about my phone
- 18:56Speaker 3: that I like. And then you know, I just I
- 19:01Speaker 3: laughed about things that that shared when I when I
- 19:05Speaker 3: had the opportunity to do that. It's just it's it's
- 19:09Speaker 3: an absence, and it's uh, it's it's a vacancy that's
- 19:13Speaker 3: there because there's a lot of things that I would
- 19:16Speaker 3: never be able to experience with him. And when you
- 19:20Speaker 3: in posture, it's it's more difficult because I feel like that, Uh,
- 19:25Speaker 3: you don't see yourself burying your child or seeing your
- 19:28Speaker 3: child parenting. You see yourself that Okay, my child will
- 19:33Speaker 3: see me, see me done before before I see him.
- 19:37Speaker 3: But when it when it's diverged, it's like, yeah, that's
- 19:41Speaker 3: part of the panthacy that just got taken away. M
- 19:45Speaker 3: there's there's there's there's nothing replaced with the future that
- 19:50Speaker 3: were good to been And it was due to COVID
- 19:54Speaker 3: that that happened and COVID.
- 19:56Speaker 1: COVID took well to you.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Also, I just wanted to say, you said that during
- 20:06Speaker 2: the holidays that suicide is up inside inside the prison. Well,
- 20:14Speaker 2: I have the statistics. It says between the between two
- 20:18Speaker 2: thousand and twenty twenty one, there has been twenty nine
- 20:23Speaker 2: to seven hundred and eleven reported suicides doing ninety one
- 20:33Speaker 2: ninety one and two million people years ago. I don't know,
- 20:37Speaker 2: maybe I'm reading it wrong, but.
- 20:39Speaker 1: The statistics is up. You know.
- 20:41Speaker 2: It's also saying that that is common for around holiday
- 20:48Speaker 2: seasons that people do in prison do commit suicide. Dude,
- 20:57Speaker 2: they have any like counseling, like therapists in there to
- 21:02Speaker 2: talk to the man's during this time.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I mean, they have therapists like work like me. For myself,
- 21:11Speaker 3: I'm gonna talk to someone when I'm going through an
- 21:13Speaker 3: issue like the holiday. It is an issue for me
- 21:18Speaker 3: and because I I caught my tastes around this time
- 21:21Speaker 3: doing Thanksgiving holidays, so it's it's more so I have
- 21:24Speaker 3: a real currence of the event that I put with me,
- 21:28Speaker 3: and that that in itself here when I see myself
- 21:32Speaker 3: in here, and then I had to learn how to
- 21:36Speaker 3: bring myself back, and it was a difficult stake because
- 21:41Speaker 3: I had suicide on my mind. I'm trying to do
- 21:43Speaker 3: suicide hop when uh, when I caught my case, uh
- 21:48Speaker 3: huh and the whole I relived the event because I'm
- 21:54Speaker 3: just gonna be straight with you. My step son and
- 21:57Speaker 3: his friends their clips and the game. Uh I was
- 22:00Speaker 3: in working that port and me being at that for
- 22:04Speaker 3: me and my wife was cheating on me. So it
- 22:07Speaker 3: went through a thing. The guy she was cheating on
- 22:09Speaker 3: me with put shipping my truck and start the truck up.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Me and us get to an argument. When I get holder,
- 22:15Speaker 3: my son comes with three of his friends. They pulled
- 22:17Speaker 3: gun from me. I end up have to shoot my
- 22:19Speaker 3: step son and his friend. I didn't kill anyone or
- 22:23Speaker 3: anything like that, but my steps I'm pulled or not
- 22:26Speaker 3: really me there and told me he's gonna kill me,
- 22:28Speaker 3: gonna shoot me. You know, that's a traumatic experience to
- 22:32Speaker 3: me to have to shoot my steps on because I
- 22:34Speaker 3: love her, and I have to shoot his friend. I
- 22:37Speaker 3: just I'm by pausing that because you live my house
- 22:40Speaker 3: and you put the gun on me in my in
- 22:42Speaker 3: my house, because that experience right there's different for me.
- 22:46Speaker 3: But have to shoot him, and here's him holler. I
- 22:48Speaker 3: kept hearing him holler in my mind. So me dealing
- 22:51Speaker 3: with that trauma, I felt like what I wanted to
- 22:54Speaker 3: do and I want to just I don't want to
- 22:56Speaker 3: put my family through anything else in my in my mind,
- 22:59Speaker 3: I feel like me taking myself out of the equations
- 23:02Speaker 3: and just killing myself was better for them. And stupid
- 23:06Speaker 3: isn't make times. But in my mind and my thinking
- 23:08Speaker 3: at that particular time, I thought I was doing them
- 23:10Speaker 3: a favor because I didn't know how to deal with
- 23:14Speaker 3: that traumatic event that just happened right then. So I mean,
- 23:18Speaker 3: and when I think about that, that's what caused me
- 23:22Speaker 3: to have to go seek mental health, go seek a counselor.
- 23:26Speaker 3: But when you're seeking someone to help you and talk
- 23:28Speaker 3: to you got to look at the individuals that prison
- 23:32Speaker 3: has a psychonstrious to try to help you. Now, I'm
- 23:37Speaker 3: on a Hispanic union with mostly Hispanic home. Everyone that's
- 23:40Speaker 3: in most of their medical department is Hispanic. But they
- 23:44Speaker 3: lack of experience to be able to cope with me
- 23:46Speaker 3: and talk to me on my level of what I
- 23:49Speaker 3: need from someone in that field to be able to
- 23:53Speaker 3: trust me on on what I'm going on in my
- 23:55Speaker 3: in my in my mind and my my feelings, uh
- 24:02Speaker 3: are going through because there's a front of depression that
- 24:05Speaker 3: that that needs inside of you and anxiety, and if
- 24:09Speaker 3: you have the one that can't relate to you as
- 24:11Speaker 3: far as on a cultural level, that's gonna be that
- 24:15Speaker 3: there's uh, it's gonna be blocking right there. There's gonna
- 24:19Speaker 3: be a wrong because they can't they can't they can't
- 24:22Speaker 3: relate to you for way do at and then they
- 24:25Speaker 3: don't have the experience of aortation to be able to
- 24:28Speaker 3: walk you through any type of steps that they can
- 24:31Speaker 3: talk to. They feel like they're just doing something that
- 24:32Speaker 3: they shoot me out the way, but they're not addressing
- 24:35Speaker 3: that they're addressing you on what you're going through with
- 24:37Speaker 3: that particular time. You have to have qualified you have
- 24:41Speaker 3: to have qualified counselors, You have to have qualify the
- 24:43Speaker 3: individuions with the UH educational background, and you have to
- 24:48Speaker 3: have someone that's really I feel like that culturally you
- 24:52Speaker 3: that can relate to you on that on and UH
- 24:58Speaker 3: on that ethnic identity. Because when you don't have that
- 25:01Speaker 3: and they show a lack of interest in trying to
- 25:05Speaker 3: give you the assistance that you need to be able
- 25:07Speaker 3: to get through what you're going through at particular time
- 25:10Speaker 3: you're going through it, then you're gonna have the deficiency
- 25:13Speaker 3: as far as topic help you're gonna beginning. So I
- 25:16Speaker 3: look at that as well. And you have young men
- 25:19Speaker 3: in here that will be traumatic experiences in their lives
- 25:22Speaker 3: with their family or with whatever they have going through
- 25:26Speaker 3: the streets. And they are not meaning they still kids,
- 25:29Speaker 3: a lot of them coming in here at sixteen seventeen,
- 25:33Speaker 3: and you know not even you know, you're not an
- 25:35Speaker 3: adultant team in the tities that they say. But then
- 25:38Speaker 3: when you get locked up, when you and a kid
- 25:40Speaker 3: and you happen in traumatic life events, and then you
- 25:44Speaker 3: and the steps and then not just that you're trying
- 25:47Speaker 3: to medicate yourself with the drugs and there because as
- 25:50Speaker 3: the right of the drugs in there, Okay, you're gonna
- 25:52Speaker 3: have You're gonna have fire spots in your in your mic.
- 25:55Speaker 3: When you feel like that, uh, that nobody understands that,
- 25:59Speaker 3: nobody care about your specials outside of your family, you
- 26:02Speaker 3: push your family the way, go buy what if you're
- 26:04Speaker 3: done to come to prison, you know, because a lot
- 26:06Speaker 3: of them coming there, they still they kills family members,
- 26:09Speaker 3: They've done some traumatic things. The family members at the time,
- 26:12Speaker 3: you don't want to mess with them, so they feel
- 26:14Speaker 3: like they're gonna let the state raise them. So and
- 26:17Speaker 3: you ain't got no family leves you need that experienced
- 26:20Speaker 3: blood you don't have. You're gonna have those episodes where Okay,
- 26:25Speaker 3: well my life means nothing. Uh, nobody loves me, nobody
- 26:29Speaker 3: cares about me, uh, and I don't want to do
- 26:32Speaker 3: this anymore. So that's the points of those things coming
- 26:35Speaker 3: in your mind. And then you have you have people
- 26:38Speaker 3: here jumping on people, you have people here getting great
- 26:41Speaker 3: you know. So when you have these all these different
- 26:44Speaker 3: types of things coming at you and you're young, and
- 26:48Speaker 3: you and you don't have You don't have a sister,
- 26:50Speaker 3: of your identity, of what you what it is that
- 26:53Speaker 3: you being a man, it is because you're not a man.
- 26:56Speaker 3: You're still in the town, staying in your head. You're
- 26:58Speaker 3: not education. They lack their education because they they I
- 27:02Speaker 3: never went to school. So them formulated in any type
- 27:06Speaker 3: of plan ideal in the world, cope just do things
- 27:08Speaker 3: they don't so what they what they revert to, It's okay.
- 27:12Speaker 3: They run to listen to the voices in here, because
- 27:15Speaker 3: I believe me, the voices are real. I just say,
- 27:20Speaker 3: I say, that's Satan. That's that's the agents of Satan
- 27:24Speaker 3: that's talking to you, and they urges you to do
- 27:27Speaker 3: things that you don't want usually to do. If you
- 27:30Speaker 3: have someone that knew or understands of what you're going through,
- 27:34Speaker 3: I can relate to them out of them. And that's
- 27:36Speaker 3: why I that's why I put myself out there most
- 27:39Speaker 3: of the time. And I have men in here that
- 27:41Speaker 3: get mad at me because I help those that I
- 27:45Speaker 3: feel that's fortunate to help themselves. I go out the
- 27:48Speaker 3: way to help the people that have the drug addiction problems.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I go out the way to talk to them. I
- 27:52Speaker 3: go out the waiter to try to eat them through it,
- 27:55Speaker 3: and you got meaning to say, excuse me, just let
- 27:58Speaker 3: come whatever. Why am I gonna do that? What You're
- 28:02Speaker 3: worried about me? The way I'm doing my time? You
- 28:04Speaker 3: just worried about you. Yeah, because you all let me
- 28:07Speaker 3: do what they're doing and you keep broking up and
- 28:10Speaker 3: they feel like they can you help. It can depend
- 28:13Speaker 3: on me, you know, my business doing what I want
- 28:18Speaker 3: to do. What I want to do here. Nobody tells
- 28:21Speaker 3: you what to do. You know, I want to help
- 28:23Speaker 3: an individual. I feel like my help to do it.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Yeah, And you know, and I followed you for that
- 28:28Speaker 2: because most people, to me, it seems like they they
- 28:34Speaker 2: like to see the other people down all. They like
- 28:37Speaker 2: to see you not in your right mind and stuff,
- 28:42Speaker 2: so that gives them something to talk about, to just
- 28:45Speaker 2: sit back and just laugh and talk and you know,
- 28:48Speaker 2: and everything everything you just said, I totally agree.
- 28:53Speaker 1: With you, you know, with the aspect of.
- 28:59Speaker 2: When you was saying about the the the ethnic groups
- 29:04Speaker 2: and the therapists and stuff. I I went to my
- 29:11Speaker 2: doctor and I was and he was asking me, well,
- 29:16Speaker 2: what's going on with you? And I was telling him,
- 29:19Speaker 2: I said, well, you know, I just lost my son.
- 29:21Speaker 2: And he asked me, well, how do you feel about that?
- 29:24Speaker 2: And you know, I'm just looking at him, like, you know,
- 29:27Speaker 2: and I told him. The first thing he wanted to
- 29:29Speaker 2: do was putting me on medication. And then and I
- 29:36Speaker 2: told him, I said, I don't need no medication, and
- 29:38Speaker 2: he was like.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Well, yes you do, because you need to be able
- 29:41Speaker 1: to cope.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Okay, so you want to medicate me so I can
- 29:45Speaker 2: be able to I can function good. I drove here,
- 29:49Speaker 2: I made my appointment. I'm just telling you what's wrong
- 29:51Speaker 2: with me, you know what. You know, I'm just you know,
- 29:55Speaker 2: going through it. And he wasn't h.
- 29:59Speaker 1: He was as.
- 30:01Speaker 2: A black person, you know, he was from another ethnic group.
- 30:06Speaker 2: And you know, I don't want to be medicated.
- 30:08Speaker 1: You know, I want to feel. I want to feel,
- 30:12Speaker 1: you know.
- 30:13Speaker 2: And then you know, I do want to go and
- 30:17Speaker 2: talk to two people. But I feel that my family
- 30:21Speaker 2: is the one that I can really talk to because
- 30:24Speaker 2: if I get a therapist and stuff, I want somebody
- 30:27Speaker 2: to that actually experienced a loss of a child, that
- 30:32Speaker 2: knows the feeling that what I'm feeling, you know, what
- 30:38Speaker 2: I'm going through, because I feel that you can talk
- 30:41Speaker 2: that that person can relate to me. You know, I'm
- 30:44Speaker 2: not looking for nobody to have a pity party with me.
- 30:46Speaker 2: I don't want to be sitting there crying. I wanted
- 30:50Speaker 2: to get you know, I want to start the healing process.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I want to not feel like I on certain days
- 30:58Speaker 2: that I need that I'm gonna go up off of
- 31:00Speaker 2: building or something like that. Yes, I did have suicidal thoughts,
- 31:05Speaker 2: but my faith in God and praying and stuff overcome
- 31:12Speaker 2: that because I know that I know the voices. I
- 31:15Speaker 2: know God's voice and I know Satan's voice, and I
- 31:19Speaker 2: know them thoughts was coming from Satan.
- 31:22Speaker 1: So I wouldn't have went that.
- 31:24Speaker 2: But when you said the voices, oh, I know the
- 31:27Speaker 2: voices because I heard them.
- 31:29Speaker 1: You definitely, when you're.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Going through a t a traumatic stage phase, you will
- 31:36Speaker 2: hear them voices. I heard them, you know during this time.
- 31:42Speaker 2: I yes, and you and you, and I see why
- 31:47Speaker 2: some people some you know. I follow this group on
- 31:51Speaker 2: Facebook with mothers of parents that have lost children, and
- 31:56Speaker 2: I see how if you're not, if you constantly listening
- 32:00Speaker 2: to Satan's voice, yeah, you're gonna go do something stupid
- 32:04Speaker 2: and you're gonna think that you go, oh, I'm gonna
- 32:06Speaker 2: go see be with my loved one.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Not you ain't gonna be with your loved one. You
- 32:10Speaker 1: you're gonna yeah, you're gonna off lift your eyes up
- 32:14Speaker 1: and him.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah, to be to tell the truth, you know, so
- 32:18Speaker 2: you know you got the Everything you said was right.
- 32:22Speaker 1: On the money, was right on the money.
- 32:26Speaker 2: And I I uh appreciate that, you know, you opening
- 32:31Speaker 2: up about even when you said about the suicide, even
- 32:37Speaker 2: about your case and everything. You know, when you want
- 32:40Speaker 2: to come back and talk about that, we can talk
- 32:41Speaker 2: about that on a different show, you know.
- 32:45Speaker 3: But but I want to add something to do what
- 32:47Speaker 3: you just said. Also, go ahead, want to do that
- 32:51Speaker 3: he was he was not color good thing he want
- 32:54Speaker 3: to do with medication, Realize that most of them or
- 32:58Speaker 3: the doctors get side of the medication they prescribe to you,
- 33:02Speaker 3: and and the side of tact to the medication. The
- 33:05Speaker 3: medication it's gonna alter your thinking and it and it
- 33:10Speaker 3: and it pilitates your brain, It takes it takes takes
- 33:13Speaker 3: your your intellect away. So if it's eating that your intellect,
- 33:18Speaker 3: because what you're doing, you're bandating. And then when you
- 33:21Speaker 3: band able that medication, it takes other medications not to
- 33:24Speaker 3: regulate that medication because what you're doing, you put yourself
- 33:27Speaker 3: and the home, and what they're doing, they're breaking down
- 33:30Speaker 3: and intellectual powerful individual that willn't be in that position.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Satan attacks you on that level as wealth do we individuals.
- 33:40Speaker 3: You don't need you don't need no medication. All you
- 33:43Speaker 3: need is time. Time, Time takes, time takes the point
- 33:47Speaker 3: where you heal. Your heal when you're ready, and God
- 33:51Speaker 3: will still continue to bless you through your journey. But
- 33:55Speaker 3: I do it the way that you want to do it.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Don't do it the way anyone else wants you to.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Your life is your life is built and your experiences
- 34:04Speaker 3: and your good challenges and journey that you spoke to
- 34:08Speaker 3: this is a blessing and God give us peace blessings
- 34:11Speaker 3: in order to to to uplift him through all the
- 34:15Speaker 3: experiences that we survived. That's how your testimon is deal.
- 34:18Speaker 3: You build your testimony and type of things surviving so
- 34:21Speaker 3: you be able to talk about the inventions about that yes,
- 34:25Speaker 3: and to call you.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Back okay, yes, so it was good talking to you.
- 34:32Speaker 2: If you wanna, if you stay by Cortnell and if
- 34:35Speaker 2: you have the one to chime back in.
- 34:37Speaker 1: You know I would love for you to chime back
- 34:40Speaker 1: in hey, hey co hosts.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Okay, ma'am Okay.
- 34:46Speaker 1: So you're gonna call me back, Yes, ma'am, you're coming back.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I'm coming back.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Okay.
- 34:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna just see if the Lovely Queen Angela take
- 34:59Speaker 2: us to a commercial she has a clip up. If not,
- 35:07Speaker 2: we'll just sit here and we'll just talk. You know,
- 35:13Speaker 2: I really enjoyed talking to Casey. He said everything that
- 35:22Speaker 2: that was right on the money, that was right on
- 35:26Speaker 2: the money. Hey, Patrese, how are you? How are you feeling?
- 35:36Speaker 2: You know, we need to check on each other. We
- 35:38Speaker 2: need to do a mental health check. That's my daughter
- 35:44Speaker 2: coming in from work. And I think one of my
- 35:46Speaker 2: grandsons is sens to come in here because I thank him.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I have four grandsons and.
- 35:57Speaker 1: And my daughter is here as well.
- 36:03Speaker 2: It's a blessing to have them around me at this time,
- 36:06Speaker 2: you know, going through the going through this. The I
- 36:14Speaker 2: told you to come here, Joe, Siah, come here.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Can you look at it? Been down? Been down for Brennie.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Can you look at the camera and tell everyone high Hi?
- 36:28Speaker 1: Say hell? Can you say hello? Hello? Can you tell
- 36:32Speaker 1: what's your name? What's your name, No, your name?
- 36:35Speaker 2: What's your name? Joe Siia, Josiah. Okay, this is my grandson,
- 36:41Speaker 2: Joe Siah. He'said, how would you feels to be eleven? Yeah?
- 36:48Speaker 1: That's my daughter. Mais should be hind the screen too.
- 36:51Speaker 1: You know.
- 36:51Speaker 2: I'm just blessed to have my family, my kids with me.
- 36:58Speaker 1: It's a blessing. Look at Josiah.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and all all my all my boys is taller
- 37:05Speaker 2: than me, all except Trician and and and little Kyler.
- 37:13Speaker 2: You see miss Angela, miss Angela, don't come to California.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Tell her to come on back to California, all right?
- 37:22Speaker 1: Sah Yeah, now.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Okay, And that was my grandson, Joe Siah.
- 37:40Speaker 1: And my co host is back, hey Cornell.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Okay, lamb okay, yes Slam, I'm back, Yes, Lam of course,
- 37:49Speaker 3: thank you for having me.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Thank you, you know, and I really appreciate you for
- 37:56Speaker 2: getting Casey to come and talk. You know, he he's
- 38:04Speaker 2: he's an amazing person, and you know, and I really
- 38:07Speaker 2: appreciate him. And any time he wanted to come back
- 38:11Speaker 2: and talk, he's he's more than welcome.
- 38:15Speaker 1: To just man come and talk. So now you have
- 38:19Speaker 1: the floor.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Okay, okay, okay, man well, basically ma'am, you know myself
- 38:28Speaker 3: as far as me dealing with you know, issues related
- 38:32Speaker 3: and to stress and you know mental issues and stuff
- 38:35Speaker 3: like that, and the witnesses and you know, other individuals
- 38:38Speaker 3: getting with this issue of no you know, problems.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Now.
- 38:42Speaker 3: It's a very serious matter, man, and that people need
- 38:45Speaker 3: to take very seriously because you know, we have people
- 38:48Speaker 3: in here committing suicide, I mean actually committing suicide, taking
- 38:54Speaker 3: their lives because they can't put up with the with
- 38:57Speaker 3: the pressure of being incarcerated away from their family members,
- 39:01Speaker 3: of being you know, connected, to make ativiency or for
- 39:05Speaker 3: whatever the reason they be. Man. So you know a
- 39:08Speaker 3: lot of times people don't pay attention to what people
- 39:12Speaker 3: are going through, right, sometimes only taking a gesture to
- 39:15Speaker 3: say hello this morning, or how you doing, to shake
- 39:18Speaker 3: your hand, or you know, sit there and talk to somebody,
- 39:21Speaker 3: you know, because you'll never know what people are going
- 39:24Speaker 3: through in this world. And everybody needs somebody in this
- 39:28Speaker 3: world man, to be able to relate to, to be
- 39:31Speaker 3: able to talk to, to feel needed, you know, because
- 39:34Speaker 3: people don't feel needed and they don't feel you don't
- 39:36Speaker 3: work anything. So you know, my point is have is
- 39:41Speaker 3: that you know I've always made attention to other people
- 39:44Speaker 3: to make issues, and I've always tried to find myself
- 39:47Speaker 3: trying to understand what other people are going through so
- 39:50Speaker 3: that hopefully, you know what I'm saying, I can, you know,
- 39:52Speaker 3: be able to relate to them and to be able
- 39:54Speaker 3: to help them or give them a helping hand as
- 39:56Speaker 3: I can, right you know, With that being ma'am, you know,
- 40:01Speaker 3: I understand your emotions are going through what you're going through.
- 40:05Speaker 3: You know, a lot of times people think that people
- 40:08Speaker 3: are not taking it serious, but just this serious because
- 40:11Speaker 3: you feel exactly what you're going through, and sometimes people
- 40:15Speaker 3: don't understand it. They say, oh, I just can't be
- 40:17Speaker 3: that emotional. It is, ma'am.
- 40:21Speaker 1: It's like because it's like somebody.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Just went inside my chest and just grabbed my heart
- 40:31Speaker 2: and just and it's just squeezing it. It's just I mean,
- 40:35Speaker 2: that's that's how I feel right now. It's just like
- 40:38Speaker 2: my heart is being squeezed and it's like trying to
- 40:41Speaker 2: be pulled up out of you and you're constantly fighting.
- 40:45Speaker 2: It's with me. It's like I'm fighting every day every day.
- 40:49Speaker 2: It's a fight for me. Ever since November tenth, twenty
- 40:53Speaker 2: twenty three, is it. I've been fighting and and you know,
- 41:00Speaker 2: but I have family they're supporting me and friends that
- 41:08Speaker 2: supported me to get through this. You don't, and I
- 41:12Speaker 2: appreciate the I appreciate it, you know. So you know,
- 41:16Speaker 2: people just don't, like you said, they don't understand, you know,
- 41:20Speaker 2: they think you're supposed to just snap up out of it,
- 41:23Speaker 2: like okay, you do. You don't through the dirt over this,
- 41:28Speaker 2: over your child. He ain't here, you know, just going
- 41:31Speaker 2: to go, you know with the hardest part for me
- 41:37Speaker 2: was saying good night. I'm not gonna say, you know,
- 41:46Speaker 2: good night, the closing on the lid down, when I
- 41:51Speaker 2: had to finally say my my good night. When you
- 41:58Speaker 2: fold the the the blanket or whatever it is, the
- 42:04Speaker 2: cloth in on him and then pull tuck the little
- 42:07Speaker 2: blanket up to the little neck and you tucking them
- 42:10Speaker 2: in and stuff.
- 42:11Speaker 1: When you're saying good night and you're looking down.
- 42:15Speaker 2: At this, at at this, at at the remains or
- 42:20Speaker 2: at the that the lifeless boy, the knife, you're looking
- 42:25Speaker 2: at your child. Let me put it like that, and
- 42:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna just go through the experience, you know, and
- 42:32Speaker 2: I'm tucking it the blanket down and between the men
- 42:37Speaker 2: I'm looking at this beautiful face.
- 42:42Speaker 1: And I'm rubbing his face and you know, and taking
- 42:48Speaker 1: my hand across his eyebrows.
- 42:50Speaker 2: And stuff, and you know, putting my hand on his face,
- 42:53Speaker 2: and you know, because I want to say good night
- 42:58Speaker 2: properly to him. This is my moment. This is the
- 43:03Speaker 2: last time I'm gonna actually see or touch something that
- 43:10Speaker 2: I gave this beautiful soul beauty because he was a beautiful.
- 43:15Speaker 2: He was beautiful inside and out. Even though we may
- 43:18Speaker 2: had our differences, my son, he was an amazing person.
- 43:22Speaker 2: And just to go through that motion to say the night,
- 43:28Speaker 2: that was the hardest part for me. That was the
- 43:32Speaker 2: hardest part for me to say good night to my son.
- 43:36Speaker 2: After I said good night, I walked away because now I'm.
- 43:44Speaker 1: In my own little bubble.
- 43:47Speaker 2: I just needed to say that, Cornell, because it was
- 43:50Speaker 2: just on me. You know, you're saying the night was
- 43:52Speaker 2: the hardest part to me. Even to actually see them
- 43:59Speaker 2: put the case, ask it insight, that that vote and.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Put that clean.
- 44:03Speaker 2: You hear that here the top of it go down,
- 44:07Speaker 2: and to see it Lord down.
- 44:09Speaker 1: In the ground.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Who I'm still I'm still in shock at the seeing
- 44:16Speaker 2: seeing that because I never thought that I would have
- 44:21Speaker 2: to have to to go through something like that, yeah,
- 44:27Speaker 2: with with my child, you know. But I thank God
- 44:32Speaker 2: for his strength for strengthen to me. I thank God.
- 44:38Speaker 2: I thank God for my family, for my friends that
- 44:42Speaker 2: stood by me.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I love you guys.
- 44:47Speaker 2: You know what, Cornel, I'm sorry, this is your time.
- 44:50Speaker 2: I forgot go ahead, great, ma'am.
- 44:55Speaker 3: Because I want to this, ma'am that you was just
- 44:59Speaker 3: explaining the moment in life. You know, every moment is
- 45:02Speaker 3: a valuable moment, every moment of a treasure moment with
- 45:05Speaker 3: the person you love, your child, your kids, your and
- 45:08Speaker 3: your husband, your plan, your mother, your father. Every moment
- 45:11Speaker 3: is valuable. It's time that you get a chance to
- 45:15Speaker 3: say I love you, or to touch their hand, to
- 45:17Speaker 3: tuck them in that night. These are moments that you
- 45:20Speaker 3: will never ever in your life. So now when they
- 45:24Speaker 3: are you know when that's going home to the father. Ma'am.
- 45:28Speaker 3: You get great, ma'am. Just know this, and let me
- 45:30Speaker 3: just say this before I go further. Now, just get
- 45:32Speaker 3: great as a mother, ma'am. Raither than your kids. And
- 45:34Speaker 3: for whatever the difference there is, ma'am, guess what they
- 45:36Speaker 3: will never say with all the good that you did
- 45:38Speaker 3: for your kids never in this world. So be proud
- 45:42Speaker 3: of yourself. Be proud of yourself for what you did
- 45:45Speaker 3: and raising your kids, because every mother out there has
- 45:48Speaker 3: a reason to be proud of themselves because it's a
- 45:50Speaker 3: lot of mothers out there have done great out they kids,
- 45:53Speaker 3: whether they kids turn out bad or gooding it either way, ma'am,
- 45:56Speaker 3: they've done great by their kids because they brought them
- 45:58Speaker 3: into this world. So with that being said, them, always
- 46:01Speaker 3: be out of yourself and the one thing God sits
- 46:04Speaker 3: behind and he looked over because he know what you've
- 46:06Speaker 3: done in your life. Now you know how much you
- 46:08Speaker 3: love your kids. So just remember that now. Of course
- 46:11Speaker 3: a woman's ma'am, you know you yourself. Why question will
- 46:16Speaker 3: never be answered? Man, you would never get to answer
- 46:19Speaker 3: to that question. Why. Because God chooses us when he's
- 46:23Speaker 3: ready for us. Man, and that's something we have to accept.
- 46:27Speaker 3: We have to accept that, whether we choose to him not.
- 46:31Speaker 3: And so how we choose to accept it, ma'am. You know,
- 46:34Speaker 3: we have to stay home for that individual because that
- 46:37Speaker 3: individual is up there sitting high and looking low at
- 46:40Speaker 3: us too, at how we choose to accept they're going
- 46:43Speaker 3: to the father.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Man.
- 46:45Speaker 3: Everybody in this world has to go see the Father soon. Man.
- 46:48Speaker 3: I like that because you see it great by raising
- 46:51Speaker 3: your kids, ma'am. And one thing, we have to always
- 46:53Speaker 3: know that the life is beautiful. We just have to
- 46:56Speaker 3: see it that way. So every moment that you have
- 46:58Speaker 3: on us earth to share with your kids, your family
- 47:01Speaker 3: members are telling me love him at every valuable moment.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Always wake up in the morning and give a smile,
- 47:06Speaker 3: a gesture, I love you, I love you anything, because
- 47:10Speaker 3: it matters.
- 47:11Speaker 1: It means a life, yes it does.
- 47:13Speaker 3: No matter if you incourtreated for thirty four years and
- 47:15Speaker 3: twenty years or whatever. Always know that life is beautiful.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Yes it is.
- 47:23Speaker 3: And that's where you at man with your son. He's
- 47:26Speaker 3: in a better place, ma'am, because guess what I mean,
- 47:28Speaker 3: A lot of people are suffering now, so he's in
- 47:30Speaker 3: a better place.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Just know, yes, So you know, well, I don't even
- 47:39Speaker 1: know what what we all talk about.
- 47:41Speaker 3: For now, ma'am. I have to talked about mental illness, man,
- 47:48Speaker 3: and how people are suffering from depressions and stuff like this.
- 47:52Speaker 3: From loving and loved for them, but being away from
- 47:54Speaker 3: the family during the holidays and stuff like this. Ma'am.
- 47:57Speaker 3: It's very serious, you know. Being away from my family
- 48:00Speaker 3: and members like me. You know, I've been away from
- 48:03Speaker 3: my family for a long time now, and I would
- 48:05Speaker 3: love to be with to you know, touch my family,
- 48:07Speaker 3: be at home and watch them fix the Christmas tree,
- 48:10Speaker 3: and strength and you know whatever we can, you know,
- 48:13Speaker 3: do to have fun, to be with steady for everybody,
- 48:16Speaker 3: for moments, for the holidays, like just any day. So
- 48:19Speaker 3: with that man said, man, I guess, ma'am, I get
- 48:21Speaker 3: depressed sometimes, but I always find a way to try
- 48:24Speaker 3: to find the strength that I need to stay strong,
- 48:26Speaker 3: keep me from doing something that I know is not
- 48:28Speaker 3: of me, you know, take my life or anything like that.
- 48:32Speaker 3: So if you know what that man says, now I
- 48:34Speaker 3: try to read my Bible and try to find a
- 48:37Speaker 3: ward of encouragement. You know, Angela had a show called
- 48:41Speaker 3: Monday Motivation. I never realized that a Monday Motivation show
- 48:46Speaker 3: that people can get motivated. It's just not here in
- 48:49Speaker 3: a world, but you know, encouragement. But every since I've
- 48:52Speaker 3: realized that that show is one that you know, incurious
- 48:56Speaker 3: people to use to know to a woman that can
- 49:00Speaker 3: help them to put a smile on their face. I
- 49:02Speaker 3: realize how important they are to give it to try
- 49:05Speaker 3: to motivate somebody. So every day that I wake up
- 49:08Speaker 3: always trying to give a person a smile or just
- 49:11Speaker 3: something just to say hello. Yeah you know so you
- 49:14Speaker 3: know what with that band said, now everybody should take
- 49:18Speaker 3: heed to you know, motivating and carrying somebody in this room.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Everybody is going through something.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Yes, yes, and that's what people fel to realize. You know,
- 49:29Speaker 1: we are human. We are we.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Actually you know, we are brothers and sisters, but we
- 49:36Speaker 2: are just in different families. You know, when our name
- 49:41Speaker 2: is called, we will see each other, you know, we
- 49:45Speaker 2: and a whole new light.
- 49:47Speaker 1: You know, it's.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Just dealing down here on this.
- 49:53Speaker 1: And it's these earthly bodies and stuff. You know. I'm
- 49:57Speaker 1: just starting to Mama.
- 49:58Speaker 2: I don't know sometimes when I get a loss as
- 50:04Speaker 2: words or I just start zoning out because I just
- 50:09Speaker 2: you know, just start just talking about self.
- 50:14Speaker 3: You're a beautiful man. You're a very strong person. Now
- 50:19Speaker 3: you are very powerful and go int your person man
- 50:22Speaker 3: who's very strong. Man. You're very encourage. You're outspoken man,
- 50:26Speaker 3: and you need me. We love to hear what.
- 50:28Speaker 4: You have to say.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Man spoken. I was never outspoken.
- 50:35Speaker 3: You may not think you are, but let us let
- 50:38Speaker 3: us see a judge of that all because you are
- 50:40Speaker 3: a very outspoken person. Because you're down to earth, you
- 50:43Speaker 3: say what's on your heart. You're not scared to speak
- 50:45Speaker 3: out of what you feel, man, And that's what makes
- 50:48Speaker 3: you feel unique. You know, any any any INDIVIDI of
- 50:51Speaker 3: who's outspoken and original. Man, it makes that very unique. Wow,
- 50:56Speaker 3: because you see what you mean and you mean what
- 50:58Speaker 3: you say. Man, that makes you very unique as a person.
- 51:02Speaker 3: So when it comes to you know, going through your moments, ma'am,
- 51:05Speaker 3: you know, we have to give you your face, everybody face,
- 51:10Speaker 3: that's what we do. But I always find a way
- 51:13Speaker 3: to check in on your ma'am because I understand, yeah,
- 51:16Speaker 3: you do try to anyway, you know, And a lot
- 51:19Speaker 3: of people maybe not people for those who don't, they
- 51:24Speaker 3: even going through something too, ma'am, and they want somebody
- 51:27Speaker 3: to understand their situation, right, So everybody has to always
- 51:31Speaker 3: find a way to tap into somebody, some way, somehow
- 51:36Speaker 3: to try to understand what it is that they may
- 51:38Speaker 3: be going to, you know, about through something.
- 51:42Speaker 1: When I just hear you guys.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Names, when you you know how to record and say
- 51:49Speaker 2: and you say your name, it's just it's something like wow,
- 51:52Speaker 2: you know, they they thinking about me first thing like
- 51:56Speaker 2: mster Legate, he will come on, hey, Siss, you know
- 51:59Speaker 2: how you doing today? I was thinking about you and
- 52:02Speaker 2: you know, and we'd talk we're talking then with then
- 52:07Speaker 2: we'll start talking about his case, and then he'd stopped
- 52:11Speaker 2: talking and he'd go back to, you know, just making
- 52:15Speaker 2: sure that I'm okay, you know, and with you. Uh,
- 52:19Speaker 2: you called me and you say, hey, Sis, you okay?
- 52:24Speaker 2: And I say, yeah, are you sure?
- 52:26Speaker 1: Like okay? So we fits now you fins now you
- 52:28Speaker 1: fis a question?
- 52:30Speaker 2: I said, yeah, I'm okay, But you know it's I
- 52:36Speaker 2: really I really love hearing from you guys, especially knowing
- 52:41Speaker 2: that you guys are doing well and that you're okay.
- 52:45Speaker 2: You know, that would be one of my worry when
- 52:50Speaker 2: I'm thinking, like I'd be wondering, hey, is he okay?
- 52:53Speaker 1: You know.
- 52:53Speaker 2: It ain't like I can pick up the phone and
- 52:55Speaker 2: call you, but I can drop you, send you a note,
- 52:58Speaker 2: and and I love when you guys respond right back
- 53:01Speaker 2: then I know that you know, hey, okay, he's good.
- 53:04Speaker 1: You know, just I'm just checking in on them, you know,
- 53:07Speaker 1: But we have.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Nine minutes and I'm gonna let you first. I'm gonna
- 53:14Speaker 2: say what I need to say. Then I'm gonna let
- 53:17Speaker 2: you end it. Because my I got grandkids here, my grade.
- 53:21Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm gonna have all of them starting tomorrow. Jeremiah, Kyler,
- 53:32Speaker 2: Josiah with you guys. Just seeing in my little Tristan,
- 53:36Speaker 2: all of them gonna be here with me on Thursday.
- 53:40Speaker 2: My daughters is gonna be here. I am so excited,
- 53:45Speaker 2: you know. And of course you know with me, I
- 53:48Speaker 2: just wanted to kick back because and just relax. So
- 53:51Speaker 2: my girls has grown. I wanted them to be the
- 53:53Speaker 2: cook do the cooking. Found out today that's not happening.
- 53:58Speaker 2: I'm doing the cooking. They're gonna dropped off everything over.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Here, so they gonna they putting me to work. You know.
- 54:07Speaker 1: I just want you guys to be thankful for what
- 54:11Speaker 1: you got.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Every little moment in life is precious love on your
- 54:17Speaker 2: family members. You know a lot of families at this time.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Oh I don't talk to that person. I can't stand
- 54:24Speaker 2: that person. But when that person is gone, you can't
- 54:31Speaker 2: go back and you can't ask for forgiveness.
- 54:34Speaker 1: You can't settle your differences that you have. Settle it now.
- 54:40Speaker 2: Life is too short to hold on to grudges and stuff.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Life is too short.
- 54:49Speaker 2: I witnessed that because I was talking to my son
- 54:54Speaker 2: and three hours later he was gone.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Just like that. Life is a vapor.
- 55:01Speaker 2: I mean, just just love on each other's doing this Thanksgiving,
- 55:05Speaker 2: be thankful. If somebody don't eat, mess up the potato salad,
- 55:12Speaker 2: just smile, put it to the.
- 55:14Speaker 1: Side, you know, and then you know, you know what.
- 55:18Speaker 2: We do, throw it in trash, you know, or try
- 55:22Speaker 2: to try to help them out, or you know, if
- 55:25Speaker 2: you really don't know how to fix a recipe or something,
- 55:29Speaker 2: you can always go on Google YouTube, google it, call
- 55:33Speaker 2: a family member, call a friend.
- 55:35Speaker 1: Hey, you gotta reach out to somebody, you know, or
- 55:40Speaker 1: just don't just don't cook it all.
- 55:43Speaker 2: You can always go to the store and buy paper plates,
- 55:47Speaker 2: you know, buying them stuff so people so you know,
- 55:51Speaker 2: keep the conflict down, doing a doing a dinner, you know,
- 55:56Speaker 2: and the people that would like to take to go play,
- 56:02Speaker 2: bring your own, take your own containers, your own fail,
- 56:08Speaker 2: and your own paper plate, and don't take a lot,
- 56:11Speaker 2: just you know, just just a little okay that that's
- 56:15Speaker 2: my take. And from my house to your house, Happy Thanksgiving.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I love you guys.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Now I'm gonna pass it on over to Cornell before
- 56:24Speaker 2: before I pass it to him, drink your water.
- 56:29Speaker 1: If you don't have nothing good to say, don't say
- 56:32Speaker 1: it at all, Stay in your lane, Go ahead, Cortnell
- 56:37Speaker 1: is yours?
- 56:38Speaker 3: Okay? Well, but all I want to say, thank you,
- 56:41Speaker 3: miss angelous. What happens us on them tonight now, So
- 56:43Speaker 3: you're allowing us this opportunity to be able to, you know,
- 56:46Speaker 3: share a moment about you know, mental issue, mental health
- 56:49Speaker 3: depressions and stuff like that. Thank you very much. And
- 56:52Speaker 3: with that take, I would like to say that anyone
- 56:55Speaker 3: who was suffering from mental illnesses and mental depressions or
- 56:58Speaker 3: you know, anxiod whatever, but always trying to find a
- 57:03Speaker 3: way to get stronger, always trying to find a way
- 57:06Speaker 3: to understand what it is that you're going through, because
- 57:09Speaker 3: you can believe other people are going through some of
- 57:11Speaker 3: the same issues that you're going through. And with that
- 57:14Speaker 3: being said, that always somebody who can help you get
- 57:17Speaker 3: through what it is you're going through. All you have
- 57:20Speaker 3: to do is open up and allow people to help you,
- 57:22Speaker 3: because if you don't, how can they understand. Ain't nobody
- 57:26Speaker 3: understand what I'm going through If I don't allow people
- 57:28Speaker 3: to understand. Now, I understand that a lot of people
- 57:31Speaker 3: to isolate it and setting their ways and stuff like that,
- 57:33Speaker 3: that they may not want other people to know what
- 57:36Speaker 3: it is that they're going through. But anybody in this
- 57:39Speaker 3: world is going through something. So what that man said,
- 57:42Speaker 3: if you're going through anything in this world, always allow
- 57:45Speaker 3: yourself to allow somebody into your furcle. But that's a
- 57:49Speaker 3: family member of a friend, whether the brother. Always allows
- 57:53Speaker 3: somebody into your circle that you can confide in and talk
- 57:57Speaker 3: to about whatever it is you're going through. Never take
- 58:00Speaker 3: the last beelore, wow, because the last resold is something
- 58:04Speaker 3: that you can't reverse. You cannot reverse committing suicide. You
- 58:08Speaker 3: cannot do it that you can reverse. It's been to
- 58:11Speaker 3: me tell you that it's gonna be all right. And
- 58:14Speaker 3: when I tell you it's gonna be all right, please
- 58:16Speaker 3: know that it's gonna be all right. Wow, Because I
- 58:19Speaker 3: know a man named you, and Jesus will give you
- 58:22Speaker 3: all the strinth that you can do in this world
- 58:24Speaker 3: to keep you strong and to keep you focus and
- 58:27Speaker 3: to keep you ready for another day should he choose
- 58:30Speaker 3: to give you that tea. So if tomorrow will come
- 58:33Speaker 3: to anybody, always know business God is good all the
- 58:38Speaker 3: time and all the time God stay song. But everybody
- 58:44Speaker 3: please and have a happy holiday. Thank you very much
- 58:47Speaker 3: for this opportunity. Thank you very much for listening in
- 58:50Speaker 3: to the show tonight, and we welcome you back soon
- 58:53Speaker 3: and like my cod my Coti, next year we will
- 58:57Speaker 3: have a different platform and guess what you will will
- 59:00Speaker 3: be the first and what it is and we will
- 59:03Speaker 3: be there, so please be there. So thank you listeners Angela.
- 59:07Speaker 3: But I'm having us home tonight and allowing us the
- 59:09Speaker 3: opportunity to be able to come on share these moments,
- 59:12Speaker 3: and thank you mister for allowing us this opportunity to
- 59:16Speaker 3: be able to share this moments to night together. As always,
- 59:19Speaker 3: I appreciate you, ma'am.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Okay, And on that note, we see you guys on
- 59:26Speaker 1: December second, have a blessed Thanksgiving and you lots of
