- 0:11Speaker 3: Into them every weekday on radio.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Can we not talk over it?
- 0:16Speaker 1: Thanks? Mate? I'm just saying how over I am. That
- 0:19Speaker 1: trailer doesn't bother me.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I don't give a shit. I don't like what because
- 0:23Speaker 2: I would like us to choose like a sound for
- 0:25Speaker 2: our show, and I think it should be sort of
- 0:28Speaker 2: in line with the total Nick Tuesday music, like really
- 0:31Speaker 2: like sixy and get a New Zealand, you know, sure,
- 0:36Speaker 2: whereas that's just sort of loud, poppy, you know, make
- 0:39Speaker 2: it so keasy. Well, I can't do anything because I'm
- 0:41Speaker 2: just a lowly afternoon announcer.
- 0:43Speaker 1: That's true.
- 0:43Speaker 3: So what you're saying we just dump it on pugsans.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I'm not saying dump on pugsun. I'm saying that it's
- 0:52Speaker 2: probably more of a toddy he you'd have to make
- 0:54Speaker 2: a call on it.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Sure, what do you he's tiding out?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Pigs back now for this top rating podcast?
- 1:06Speaker 3: It is top rating too huge? How is your weekend, Fellas?
- 1:10Speaker 1: Good weekend? Many spent? What do I do Saturday. It's
- 1:17Speaker 1: been about four hours online with Google support because our
- 1:21Speaker 1: our email network had gone down at Frank Yeah right.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Darnell mentioned something about that it was a good time
- 1:27Speaker 2: emails had been sending or something.
- 1:28Speaker 1: None had been sending and none I've been getting received,
- 1:32Speaker 1: so and then we couldn't work out what was wrong
- 1:34Speaker 1: with it. And then so I spent four hours. But
- 1:36Speaker 1: that was good at least. The good thing about it
- 1:38Speaker 1: was it wasn't on a Monday, Tuesday. Wednesdays is a Friday, right, Sure,
- 1:41Speaker 1: it was the weekend. It was a weekend. I'd rather not,
- 1:46Speaker 1: but at least it wasn't Efin and Jeff as much.
- 1:48Speaker 1: But years they had been down for about thirty six hours.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So I did that. I went to sky City Tower. Yes,
- 1:55Speaker 1: we'll get into.
- 1:56Speaker 3: That and the show Skytower.
- 1:58Speaker 1: We'll get to that in the show. Watched Get Pumped
- 2:02Speaker 1: with the Rugby screamed the house down when we got
- 2:04Speaker 1: fucking smoked in the Warriors game. I did have a
- 2:08Speaker 1: really good weekend. Yes, actually I had fun Saturday.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Saturday night. It's my wife's Nipble prize giving that I
- 2:15Speaker 2: had to.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Go along to Oh you had to, Yeah, I did.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Have to because did I explain it on the show.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I think you were saying that she said that you
- 2:22Speaker 1: couldn't go, but that you'd managed to get a ticket
- 2:24Speaker 1: from somewhere.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Yeah, because she was selling tickets. No, the situation was
- 2:28Speaker 2: the girls were all meeting up, the girls as you
- 2:30Speaker 2: call them. There's a team of ten of them. I
- 2:32Speaker 2: think like there was eight of them and me and
- 2:35Speaker 2: one of the boys, one of the other girl's husband's Matt,
- 2:38Speaker 2: who's one of my mates. Yeah, we were just gonna
- 2:40Speaker 2: hang out, watch the Olympics, watch NRL, eat pizza, drink
- 2:43Speaker 2: beers while they were off doing this. And then it
- 2:45Speaker 2: turned out one of the other girls forgot that it
- 2:48Speaker 2: was Nipple prize giving and she'd invited her partner, whose
- 2:50Speaker 2: long distance, to come up for the weekend. And so
- 2:53Speaker 2: she's like, oh, he's just gonna have to like sit
- 2:54Speaker 2: in my apartment while we do this prize giving party
- 2:58Speaker 2: and then I will just get Matt and christ come
- 3:00Speaker 2: three way. And so it was me, Mett and this
- 3:03Speaker 2: other fellow standing in the corner just chatting the Scott
- 3:07Speaker 2: while the girls got really drunk. But then I got
- 3:10Speaker 2: quite drunk as well, and then climbed a tree.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Why did you climb a tree?
- 3:13Speaker 2: Because I was bored. I was waiting for the person
- 3:15Speaker 2: with the car keys was coming. They were taking forever
- 3:17Speaker 2: and there was a really climbable tree. I got up there.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I was just trying to remember the last time I
- 3:23Speaker 3: climbed a tree, probably when I was about five. I
- 3:28Speaker 3: had a good weekend, too.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Crazy.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I thought that was that you went home and you
- 3:35Speaker 3: were saying you were hungover all Sunday.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Sorry Jason, just.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Then laying out with your hands down your pants.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Sunday was a bit of a dusty day. But we
- 3:43Speaker 2: did a whole lot of errands. So we've recently switched mortgage,
- 3:46Speaker 2: our mortgage to another bank, which involves changing all of
- 3:50Speaker 2: our AP's, all of everything, all of our payments to
- 3:53Speaker 2: all insurance ban like bills. Now I have to be
- 3:56Speaker 2: transferred across. And that is a ball ach. That was
- 3:58Speaker 2: me on Sunday. And then the Warriors, which was a
- 4:02Speaker 2: huge ball lake.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Yeah it was, I'll be honest. Actually I completely forgot
- 4:07Speaker 3: they were on, and then I went, oh no, Actually
- 4:11Speaker 3: my wife said, oh the Warriors playing, and I went,
- 4:13Speaker 3: oh god, So I missed the first twenty when we
- 4:16Speaker 3: were down like sex nel or something like that. But
- 4:20Speaker 3: what a match, what a game and tragedy at the
- 4:23Speaker 3: end there, bloody good kick from whoever that fellow was. Yeah,
- 4:28Speaker 3: it was a disappointing weekend on the sporting front. Quite
- 4:31Speaker 3: frankly got decked in the rugby, and.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Only in the rugby.
- 4:33Speaker 3: The Olympics it was all Yeah, the Olympics were good
- 4:35Speaker 3: apart from that stupid breakdowns shot, yes, and the shot.
- 4:43Speaker 3: But you know, I had a good weekend. My wife
- 4:47Speaker 3: actually went out to a cooking class on set day
- 4:49Speaker 3: night's learning how to with with all her workmates.
- 4:54Speaker 1: What were they cooking? What genre?
- 4:57Speaker 3: It was?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Male strippers, Asian fuse.
- 5:01Speaker 3: And she said, the lady that was running work, the
- 5:03Speaker 3: lady that was running it was really good and it
- 5:06Speaker 3: was actually really useful, And I say, well, we should
- 5:08Speaker 3: start doing that. I'd be into that, well, cooking cooking classes.
- 5:11Speaker 3: That'd be good.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Would you say, we do you mean the big Show?
- 5:14Speaker 3: No? I mean we could, but no, her and I
- 5:17Speaker 3: we can't. You know, I'd be into that big time.
- 5:21Speaker 3: How to properly cook me?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Or did you? Just as they were halfway through explaining it, yell,
- 5:25Speaker 2: cook the man some iffing eggs.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Yeah, because that's been such a fucking great thing in
- 5:30Speaker 3: my life, such a great moment in my career.
- 5:34Speaker 2: It's funny because on TikTok people will just upload moments
- 5:37Speaker 2: from TV in New Zealand or just completely other people's
- 5:40Speaker 2: content and say, this is so funny, you can't believe
- 5:44Speaker 2: this was on TV, and then upload it and it's
- 5:46Speaker 2: not their content at all, And it got like there
- 5:47Speaker 2: was one of you doing that came up. I had
- 5:49Speaker 2: a hundred thousand likes, Yeah, not just one hundred thousand
- 5:52Speaker 2: views likes, and it was just some random account guy I.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Can't believe in New Zealand. Head.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yes, so people just upload random ship and so you're
- 6:01Speaker 2: even though you haven't posted, it's still doing the rounds.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah, well I I showed it to my mother recently, liken'.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I don't like to revisit that particular segment of my life, frankly,
- 6:11Speaker 3: and I'd be terrified of what people One of my well, Radar,
- 6:15Speaker 3: you remember Radar who we interview to Radar when he
- 6:19Speaker 3: saw it, he was like, what have you done?
- 6:23Speaker 1: What have you done? He's quite a clean yeah, he's.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Very conscious of that sort of stuff, and he was like,
- 6:31Speaker 3: what have you done?
- 6:32Speaker 1: Made television history in New Zealand career ending and that
- 6:38Speaker 1: was actually the best thing I've ever done.
- 6:41Speaker 2: The whole Archy Big Show week days from four on
- 6:44Speaker 2: Radio Hiarchy, Remember they Big Show podcast. The most controversial
- 6:49Speaker 2: moment in New Zealand in Tellivision history was on Jerry
- 6:52Speaker 2: Show and He's Fine And it wasn't even gay old Gore.
- 6:55Speaker 2: It was the the hist take of a to deal
- 6:58Speaker 2: based pornography called anal Manah.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah, which was the hell of the time.
- 7:02Speaker 2: It's just like and it was just like I remember
- 7:04Speaker 2: watching it and it's the most complained about moment in
- 7:07Speaker 2: New Zealand TV history. He's fine, He's hosting bloody seven sharp.
- 7:10Speaker 1: He is, He's doing all right on the breakfast show?
- 7:14Speaker 3: Was he on the station?
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 7:15Speaker 3: Wow, yeah, yeah, he must be rolling in it. Absolutely,
- 7:19Speaker 3: dog squad money all both let's not get carried away
- 7:23Speaker 3: like the seven sharp money and then this dog squad money.
- 7:27Speaker 3: But yeah, and then I got stuck into the garden
- 7:30Speaker 3: on Sunday found I had that classic moment at about
- 7:33Speaker 3: sort of ten o'clock in the morning and I went
- 7:36Speaker 3: or we went and did a shop and then we
- 7:37Speaker 3: came back and I was like, I really should do
- 7:40Speaker 3: the lawns and that sort of stuff. And I waved
- 7:43Speaker 3: for about twenty minutes and then I went, no, do
- 7:46Speaker 3: what I hated it?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Isn't it fun? You did hate it? I thought you'd
- 7:50Speaker 2: liked doing the lawn.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Yeah, but they're all they were so long and wet, right,
- 7:53Speaker 3: and it was just not fun and it was just
- 7:57Speaker 3: But it done now. So that's the main thing I
- 7:59Speaker 3: can get back on top with this.
- 8:00Speaker 2: See I'm the I'm like, I'll be thinking, shit, I
- 8:03Speaker 2: should get out in the garden. In fact, I've got
- 8:04Speaker 2: timber and bark and weed matting and all the stuff
- 8:07Speaker 2: there to frame this garden we've got. And I'm like, oh,
- 8:10Speaker 2: I can't be bothered doing I've got a spear hour.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Maybe I should go do that. I can't be bothered
- 8:14Speaker 2: doing it. However, once I'm out there and doing it,
- 8:16Speaker 2: I'm like, this is great. I should do this every
- 8:18Speaker 2: single day, but I just never do.
- 8:21Speaker 3: My my garden is so disastrous.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Is this your lady garden or your.
- 8:28Speaker 3: No, mate, my front garden. I don't really have a
- 8:31Speaker 3: front garden. We do. Actually that's that's quite overgrown with
- 8:37Speaker 3: ferns and ship down the back. It's like as I
- 8:42Speaker 3: said when my when my daughter came up from Australia,
- 8:45Speaker 3: she said, it's like have us in Wonderland out the
- 8:49Speaker 3: back of your house and it kind of air is
- 8:51Speaker 3: So I've just we've just got to knuckle down and
- 8:54Speaker 3: do the hard yards.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Can I say something? I want you to take any offense?
- 8:57Speaker 3: So my wife hates gardening apparently not? Can I? Well,
- 9:01Speaker 3: it depends what it is.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Is that one of the worst lines say that where
- 9:06Speaker 1: you can say it, but you've got to promise you're
- 9:09Speaker 1: not going to be offended.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Can't I don't know. I don't.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Can I rephrase it? I mean no offense?
- 9:18Speaker 1: This is just that's good. I'm looking forward to this.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Yes, trailer, it's not going to be worth it. The
- 9:28Speaker 2: question is I puture your house not getting a lot
- 9:31Speaker 2: of sun. I put your house quite cold because all
- 9:34Speaker 2: the trees and stuff are overgrown around it and your
- 9:37Speaker 2: house is never gets any sun. Is that true?
- 9:39Speaker 1: No? Right, heaps of sun.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Yeah, we get a lot of sun, right and like
- 9:44Speaker 3: no offense. Our second lounge, a little lounge is bathed
- 9:48Speaker 3: in sunlight.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Right north face out.
- 9:50Speaker 3: And we also had a massive tree that used to
- 9:52Speaker 3: be out of the front of the house, which was massive.
- 9:54Speaker 2: But the massive tree which we we got rid of
- 9:58Speaker 2: and did like all the lounges are flooded with all
- 10:02Speaker 2: the lounges.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Two lounges, you've got three.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But you do always have your curtains closed because you
- 10:08Speaker 1: hate the sunlight.
- 10:10Speaker 3: That's true.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you just closed all the curtains and punched
- 10:13Speaker 2: darts and watched Last of the Summer White on TV.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I punched darts in my house. Those were the day
- 10:20Speaker 3: I tell you what, man, I wish I could. I know,
- 10:23Speaker 3: I don't. I like going outside to smoke, but it's
- 10:27Speaker 3: good fell It would feel weird if I did had
- 10:30Speaker 3: a CIGGI inside.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I did it pretty recently. Did you have that when
- 10:33Speaker 1: the wife went away? It was good ship.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:36Speaker 1: You have the doors all open, I did? Yeah, yeah, right, yeah.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Question is it going to I don't want you to
- 10:43Speaker 2: take any offense to the now. See there was no
- 10:46Speaker 2: offense in that last question. I noticed when you were
- 10:48Speaker 2: driving the other day, j because we follow each other
- 10:50Speaker 2: out of the car park. This is just a genuine question.
- 10:52Speaker 2: When you are smoking, you have your hand on the
- 10:55Speaker 2: roof with the dart in your fingers on the roof,
- 10:57Speaker 2: while driving along like thirty k in traffic bringing your
- 11:00Speaker 2: smoke down?
- 11:01Speaker 1: Is that?
- 11:02Speaker 2: What's the idea behind that? Just to keep the smoke
- 11:03Speaker 2: smell out of the car? Yes, right, okay, because I'd
- 11:06Speaker 2: be worried that it would just fly out of my
- 11:07Speaker 2: hand or something.
- 11:08Speaker 3: No. I griped that bastard, real that.
- 11:12Speaker 2: White knuckle with it.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm trying to not I'm trying not.
- 11:16Speaker 1: To smoke in the car now, right, Okay, that's what
- 11:18Speaker 1: you qualify is not smoking the hand outside the window.
- 11:22Speaker 3: No, it doesn't. It doesn't count. Have a puff, But
- 11:26Speaker 3: I'm my big weakness is the one after the show,
- 11:30Speaker 3: and I'll still have that, right? Why does that?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Because it just doesn't?
- 11:34Speaker 3: I just love it? Yeah, it's it's my second favorite
- 11:38Speaker 3: smoke of the day.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Could you just do have two smokes a day? And
- 11:41Speaker 2: that's it? No, it's like if you either cold turkey,
- 11:45Speaker 2: right or just two a day, one in the morning
- 11:47Speaker 2: and one after the show.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Is that an option? An option?
- 11:51Speaker 3: Not really?
- 11:51Speaker 2: No, so cold turkey is the only option?
- 11:54Speaker 3: Well?
- 11:54Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, okay, it's just so interesting because I just
- 11:58Speaker 2: couldn't smoke because of my asthma. Yeah, and now I
- 12:00Speaker 2: don't know anything about it?
- 12:01Speaker 1: What about your pest drinking? Could you just have two
- 12:04Speaker 1: every time? Every time you drink? You only ever have two?
- 12:08Speaker 2: I can have two as long as no one else
- 12:10Speaker 2: is drinking. Yeah, sure, So could you just have two
- 12:13Speaker 2: every time you drink? I mean if I had to? Yeah,
- 12:17Speaker 2: I actually could.
- 12:18Speaker 1: For the rest of your life. No, not for the
- 12:19Speaker 1: rest yeah, hang on, it's the same as for the cities.
- 12:24Speaker 1: It's like, I mean I could on some days, but
- 12:27Speaker 1: then other days I have fifty. Right.
- 12:29Speaker 2: But the thing with me, if no one else is
- 12:31Speaker 2: drinking and there's no booths in my house, I don't
- 12:33Speaker 2: want to drink.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Is that the same with smoking?
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 12:38Speaker 2: Or do you feel like shit? I could go for
- 12:40Speaker 2: a smoke right now because I don't feel.
- 12:41Speaker 3: That way always, right, Okay, Yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 2: It's so interesting, man, so interesting.
- 12:46Speaker 3: They easy.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I find it interesting.
- 12:48Speaker 3: But but what's my wife kicking me? Now?
- 12:51Speaker 1: Oh? God? Just text me as well?
- 12:53Speaker 3: Oh god, you want to know what she texted me?
- 12:56Speaker 3: Go on, you be amazing, you'd be amazing.
- 13:00Speaker 1: What was the question? Though?
- 13:01Speaker 3: I dropped my daughter off somewhere, all right, So she's
- 13:05Speaker 3: taking the purse out of you? Yeah?
- 13:07Speaker 2: Probably, I see, So she spelt that wrong with poor
- 13:11Speaker 2: grammar as a bit of a joke, like you'd be amazing.
- 13:14Speaker 3: That's how we communicate via text, right, be amazing amazing.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Instead of you'd be amazing or you are amazing.
- 13:23Speaker 1: You are okay, So she's yeah, okay, what nice one.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I get back to stage. Stage.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Listen to The Hudicky Big Show four toill seven every
- 13:34Speaker 2: weekday on radio.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Holder Tom Parkson is giving me the eye from a
- 13:36Speaker 3: studio v moon, is he Yeah,
