Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville jackwars fans welcome in to do wall daily presented by jing jack.com and fuel by brass tax coffee recording this Friday, October 9th publishing first thing in the morning on Saturday, October 10th.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: We have got bold predictions.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: I did want to go ahead and chat a little bit about the final injury report for jackwars and needles.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's a storyline we've obviously been covering all week with just the
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: unbelievable amount of change with the Eagles roster and injuries that they've had.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think it bears mentioning at the beginning of our bold predictions here with the official game status reports.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: Now out, say quambarkly, officially out with a hamstring injury for the Eagles, Hollywood Brown officially out with an ankle injury for the Eagles.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: Marcus Eps, they're starting safety out with a growing Drew Kindle, a center who has now been thrust into a
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: and divante Smith out with a hamstring injury.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: So you're talking about obviously just two of your most important players for the Eagles out.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: Lane Johnson and Tires, Cam Jergens gets traded.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: Lane and Dickerson still injured, so it's a tough spot for them.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: For the Jaguars, Eric Murray with the concussion protocol is officially doubtful.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: He was limited, Thursday, he was also limited Friday, and you also have Jalen Jones to the Jaguars just signed this week as hamstring, he's not playing in this game, but probably would have been inactive even if he was healthy for this one, as a player, the Jaguars just brought up other than not, the Jaguars do not have any game status reports.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Eric Murray, if he is unable to play, which again doubtful means not a good chance, right?
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: If he's unable to play, I think you're talking about Antonio Johnson with a lot of Rayon Lane, with a lot of Jalen Husky potentially, has safety for the Jaguars, which would be interesting for sure.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Safety depth is going to be tested there in a big way.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now, getting into these bold predictions, first I do want to remind y'all like comment subscribe, you can also hit that high button, bold predictions starting with the Jaguar is offense.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar is commit to the run in this game.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think if they do that, they can frustrate the Eagles' best players defensively.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: Commit to running the football.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: The Eagles' run defense has been...
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: solid.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: Um, they've allowed a lot of yards on the ground.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't been particularly high yards per carry in most games outside of the Titans.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: They really kind of put it on them there.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: with Spears and Pollard.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: But outside of that game, it's usually been around four yards per carry for the opposing running backs.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: I do think the Jaguars have a running game, you know, featuring Bachelorette, who has been one of the most efficient backs in the league this year and most best in terms of tackle breaking in terms of success rate, all these things.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he can have a decent day against them in this one.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm predicting the Jaguars about 4.4 yards per carry.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: Seems like Chris Rodriguez is also rounding into form.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: 4.4 yards per carry on 30 carries.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think they try to be really balanced in this first game in London on the offensive side of the ball.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: Over 130 yards, I think Trevor Lawrence is able to contribute in that regard.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: You just haven't seen a whole lot from Trevor on the ground so far this year.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that that's just,
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing bold predictions.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: There's decent chance that I think that that trend kind of switches this week, and you see more from Trevor with his legs, particularly in the red zone here.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think Tutan leads the way in this one, but Chris Rodriguez also contributes pretty well, and Bachelors Dream is able to find the end zone for the Jaguars in this one.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also playing against him in fantasy, so it feels fitting that he would find the end zone.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think that running game and the commitment to the running game and the commitment to 12th personnel to play action.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: That really opens up the passing game against an Eagle's secondary and just past defense in general that has not been playing as well as they normally do, as you normally expect them to.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: They have a great coach, super talented group of coverage players, Jalen Carter is still an absolute beast.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Jonathan Grinard is going to be an interesting factor as well.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's questionable for the Eagles.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't practice all week, but he's still listed as questionable.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's an important piece for their past rush, too, and for their run defense.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: The injuries they have with, you know, mark us up to being out with Cooper Degene, not playing as well and coverage with Andrew McCuba.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: It just hasn't felt as locked down for the Eagles in the second areas you would typically expect.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: They do still have great players and they added Greek woolen.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: They've got talented players back there, but I think getting into the 12 again, frustrating them a little bit with that run game.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: not being able to pick exactly where the Jaguars are going, when they're going there, the 12th personnel as well.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Parker Washington leads the way for the Jaguars receivers, I think, to Kobe Myers and Britain strange in that order, also contribute at a high level and give the Eagles the tough time, you know, we talked about Dijina hasn't been playing to his standard Makuba isn't playing great football.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Eps is out, he's injured.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Carter though, has kind of stepped in and he's been a good player in the NFL for a while.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think that's like some huge drop off there, but I think you can attack a little bit middle of the field.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: 15 to 25 yards down the field.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you're going to be able to find success there again, especially if you're able to get the wrong game going, and get the play action game going.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't necessarily think you're really looking to try to attack Quinyon Mitchell at ton.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: You're not showing away from him if you feel like you've got your look that you're looking for.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: But Quinyon Mitchell, I think, is still just one of your best players, right?
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: when you're talking about the Eagles, and I think their recoil and is a good player too.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that you're trying to attack elsewhere to open those guys up a little bit more, get them a little bit more susceptible.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the jack's passing offense is another just like pretty solid day.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Eagles pass rush will do some damage.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think Jaylin Carter will probably get his first sack of the year because why not?
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Jaylin's aunt will probably get Goldman Lannon.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be some pressure, but overall Trevor Lawrence handles it pretty well.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's handled pressure pretty well this year outside of the Broncos game and that was like an all-out assault in the first half it felt like and a little bit in the second half and he just started into making some mistakes that he's not normally prone to.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think Trevor does well handling the pressure maneuvering the pocket has just like a good day.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mentioned that I think he scores with his feet.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think he gets two passing touchdowns around 225 passing yards.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: I do have him getting intercepted and this one.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Got Queen Yon Mitchell getting his hands on the football.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's just such a talent to player.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think that there's going to be a moment in this game where pressure might get to Trevor.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I went with Queen Yon Mitchell because I think he's playing at the highest level of all the guys in the secondary.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: But I think there's going to be a moment where Trevor Lewin's probably does end up getting intercepted in this game just because you do have a really talented defense that's coached by an all-world defense of coordinator.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: and you're just not going to be perfect.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to be perfect against this group.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Trevor does end up throwing an interception.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: But overall, if he ends up too passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown, you're going to be just fine with that one.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that Eagles offense, honestly, it's in a bit of trouble.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Let's call it spade a spade.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: No sac, one, no divante Smith, no landed Dickerson, no cam jerkins, no lane Johnson, no tank, bigsby, no Hollywood, Brown, no Drew Kendall.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's wild.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think they will move the ball a little bit through the air, because the Jaguar's defense is going to give you some stuff at times, just kind of by the nature of the way they play.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: But I also think, I also think that they're going to be able to give Jail and
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's not really playing super confident football.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like in this passing offense right now for the Eagles, he doesn't have a lot of help around him as we've noted here.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: They'll move the ball a little bit through there.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: But, and again, you also have Eric Murray being doubtful, which could help them potentially have a place to attack.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, the Jack Wars Anything Campanila will be coaching for that, but even though you have some success moving the ball through the air,
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: very little going on the ground.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars, one of the best run defences in football, if not the best run defences in football.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think they hold the Eagles under two and a half yards of carry.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like, you know, Will Shipley, maybe a Damian Pierce, which I know Jaguar's fans days of the past, Damian Pierce, my bring up some nightmares, but, you know, they just don't have a lot going on.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Sequon Barkley is the catalyst for them, and they don't have him in this one, so that's a big deal.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar's run defense goes crazy.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think that
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Hamilton dominates the run.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think Trayvon Walker dominates the run in the past.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think Eric Armstrong stood as himself a day, going up against guys that you weren't expecting to see.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think Josh Heinz Allen, he has the toughest assignment here, because you're still going up against Jordan.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: My lot of more often than not, but I think that they're going to move him around a little bit more, you saw that a little bit last week.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to be able to do some things and play well against the run at the very least.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: And you're going to have a defensive line that feels like again, it's kind of taking steps in the right direction.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's about time for a ventral miller punch out.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: I could definitely see that when happening.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's always so close to getting one.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: So ventral miller punch out and recovery, somebody recovers and maybe it's ventral himself.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully and then I have Antonio Johnson getting an interception maybe like a whole shot I think Jalen hurts at times.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: He will push the ball outside the numbers.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a whole shot against a little like cover two type look and Antonio Johnson comes over the top and gets himself his first interception of the season.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's been a little quiet.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's due.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: for a big play.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see if those turnovers can end up happening.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: I do think the Jaguars will force some turnovers, whether it ends up being in that specific way, remains to be seen.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, maybe you end up seeing a strip sack.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: I could very easily see like a tray of honor, a josh, an aircraft stud, ended up with a strip sack, maybe even Brian Thomas Jr. strip sack.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Jaguars will be able to have some quick wins in the past rest department.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to, I think they're going to have to stop going after him quickly in this game.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to try to not be afraid of him and he's going to make some plays on the ball.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's just going to be like curtains.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: They're just going to be like, all right, we got to go elsewhere.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: We can't keep throwing it Travis Hunter.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: Is what you're saying over the last couple weeks, I mean, and, you know, since it started the season, the more he's playing defense,
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: He is just ascending at an extraordinary rate right now and he's making plays on the football consistently.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's an nightmare.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's an nightmare to deal with.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you can honestly say that now, as an offensive coordinator, I think you do not want to be going up against the Travis Hunter.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: And that's exactly what the Eagles have here.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I've got Jalen heard scoring a couple times, maybe once all of them have turned over for the Jaguars.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe once they have like a couple of nice passes strung together and he's able to get in once on with his legs and once passing the ball But I've also got the Jaguars even though it's not like a perfect day throwing the ball ball or through the passing Passing department for the Jaguars travel on to et cetera because you have a good defense you're going up against I think
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: They're one of those teams that really is good in the red zone.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: They're one of those teams that also does not have three and out.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's like they move the ball a little bit.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to get the ball into position for a couple cam, little 50 plus yarders here, and this game.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to drill both of him.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's kicking the ball very well right now.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: I've got the Jaguar as winning this one 30 to 17 over the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: And it could be a little bit closer in that.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: a wider spread than that, like, then I felt as a week to week league, the Eagles have talent, they have good coaching on the defensive side of the ball, but they are severely lacking when it comes to offensive skill talent and offensive line right now.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: So, the Eagles are well coaching enough to make it a difficult game.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that the Jaguars, they're pretty darn well-coached too on both sides of the ball, and I think that they're in a better spot from an injury standpoint.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think they get the job done 30 to 17 in London and get ready to host the Houston Texans.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: And London, the very next week, really appreciate y'all being here.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe y'all for great one.
