- 0:01Hello and welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for December 4, 2025. Your
- 0:05two-minute play of the day for applying
- 0:07God's word in your life. So, let's
- 0:09huddle up and hear today's play from
- 0:11James 2, which says, "If you really keep
- 0:14the royal law found in scripture, love
- 0:16your neighbor as yourself, you're doing
- 0:18right. Speak and act as those who are
- 0:21going to be judged by the law that gives
- 0:23freedom." Because judgment without mercy
- 0:25will be shown to anyone who has not been
- 0:27merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
- 0:31Men, every religion has rules. Every
- 0:33worldview gives you some checklist to
- 0:35feel good about yourself. But the one
- 0:38true God, our God, summarizes everything
- 0:40into one royal command. Love God by
- 0:43loving people. That's not soft. It's not
- 0:46optional. It's the mark of true
- 0:48Christian manliness. James says, "This
- 0:50is the law that gives us freedom. It
- 0:52frees us from the nonsense the world
- 0:54calls religion rituals, formulas,
- 0:57self-made righteousness. God says, "You
- 0:59love me? Show me by loving those that I
- 1:02made in my image." That's simple, but it
- 1:04isn't easy. Because loving people is
- 1:06hard. People offend us, frustrate us,
- 1:09drain us, disrespect us. And the truth
- 1:12is, a lot of the time, we don't want to
- 1:14show mercy. But here's the problem. You
- 1:16and I didn't deserve mercy either.
- 1:19Jesus, the sinless king, took our sin,
- 1:21our judgment, our rebellion, and hung on
- 1:23a cross for us while we were still
- 1:26rejecting him. That's love. That's
- 1:28mercy. That's the gospel. So when James
- 1:32says, "Judgment without mercy shall be
- 1:34shown to anyone who has not been
- 1:35merciful," he's reminding us a man
- 1:38forgiven much must become a man who
- 1:40forgives much. And when he says, "Mercy
- 1:43triumphs over judgment," he's pointing
- 1:45to the cross and to the way Christian
- 1:47men are called to live. Brothers, this
- 1:49is what separates godly men from
- 1:51religious pretenders. Not our theology,
- 1:54not our work ethic, not our toughness,
- 1:56but our willingness to love and show
- 1:58mercy like Jesus. So run today's play.
- 2:02Identify the one person you least want
- 2:04to show mercy to. Do something today
- 2:06that demonstrates God mercy towards
- 2:08them. Text them, forgive them, bless
- 2:11them, serve them, listen to them, choose
- 2:14not to retaliate, choose to love like
- 2:17Jesus. Not because they deserve it, not
- 2:19be but because we didn't deserve it
- 2:21either and God gave it anyway. Let's be
- 2:24men who live the royal law. Let's be men
- 2:26whose love for people proves our love
- 2:29for God. Let's be men whose mercy
- 2:31triumphs. Thanks for joining the huddle
- 2:33today. If this encouraged you, share it
- 2:35with another man who wants to know God
- 2:37better so he can love and obey God
