- 1:30Speaker 7: Hey, what's up. I am the blur without fear, a
- 1:34Speaker 7: k a.
- 1:35Speaker 1: The Woke Charles Xavier and uh, the blurred with a
- 1:39Speaker 1: mouth and uh some people even call me the Baba
- 1:43Speaker 1: Yaga YouTube, but uh.
- 1:44Speaker 7: Yeah that's me.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I'm here. You on that one.
- 1:53Speaker 7: Say that like that.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Yeah, people down on the inters going on.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I mean, I've definitely seen that's what people That's what
- 2:01Speaker 1: people tell me. So I just want Look, if enough
- 2:05Speaker 1: people say it, I'll just roll with it.
- 2:07Speaker 3: So, I mean, I I have more witness to some
- 2:11Speaker 3: of the slaughters, you know what I mean.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, look, I just I just be out here.
- 2:17Speaker 7: Doing things, and uh, and I mind and I generally
- 2:21Speaker 7: mind my business. But uh but every now and again,
- 2:25Speaker 7: every now and again, I don't.
- 2:27Speaker 3: But today we're gonna mind our business and discuss X
- 2:30Speaker 3: Men ninety seven as much as possible, you know, because
- 2:33Speaker 3: when we got Woke Charles and Davy up in here,
- 2:35Speaker 3: we'll see how it goes. But yes, we could talk
- 2:37Speaker 3: about X Men ninety seven Season two, episode seven, from
- 2:42Speaker 3: a Dead Man's Hand eight eight.
- 2:45Speaker 4: They were almost done.
- 2:47Speaker 3: I know. It's just always it throws me off because
- 2:49Speaker 3: I forget it's a nine episode season. Instead of being
- 2:51Speaker 3: like a round number, so okay, yeah, yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Which is also a thing in and of itself, right,
- 2:56Speaker 4: all like these shows that have seasons with these odd
- 2:59Speaker 4: literally odd number of episodes, and we know that that's
- 3:02Speaker 4: just kind of developed through over the years, right when
- 3:05Speaker 4: you talk about the Netflix model and other models about
- 3:08Speaker 4: how they do these shows, and it's kind of like
- 3:10Speaker 4: it gives you a thought like, damn, is this enough?
- 3:12Speaker 4: Or is this too much? Right, because we've seen shows
- 3:15Speaker 4: be amazing with six episodes, and we've seen so seen
- 3:18Speaker 4: ass be asked with like twenty four episodes, So it's
- 3:20Speaker 4: kind of like, is this enough?
- 3:23Speaker 3: I mean, I always want more of this show because
- 3:26Speaker 3: I really truly enjoy it, you know, But at the
- 3:29Speaker 3: same time, I feel like the animation everything like that
- 3:32Speaker 3: is so excellent every episode that I really you know,
- 3:37Speaker 3: the little more and it wasn't I'd hurdly like yeah yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 4: And you saying that makes me want to just mention
- 3:43Speaker 4: first on this episode specifically, the animation my god like
- 3:47Speaker 4: beauty full like when it comes to again, how they
- 3:52Speaker 4: illustrate the power sets and how they illustrate the magic
- 3:55Speaker 4: literally the magic mixed in with the mutant powers like that,
- 4:00Speaker 4: it's just phenomenal, phenomenal work on the color, phenomenal work
- 4:03Speaker 4: on the grading, just phenomenal work on the movement and
- 4:06Speaker 4: the power that it has, like you feel it. That's
- 4:08Speaker 4: that's one of the reasons why X Men ninety seven
- 4:10Speaker 4: is so damn good.
- 4:11Speaker 6: You feel the force.
- 4:13Speaker 4: I'm sorry to put a little Star Wars representa but
- 4:15Speaker 4: you feel the force in all the movement and the
- 4:18Speaker 4: and the color and the fervor of the characters and
- 4:20Speaker 4: everything that they do. Gambit obviously like that shit was
- 4:24Speaker 4: bananas to me. Yo, what's up, fanfam It is I
- 4:27Speaker 4: Tatiana King, and I want you all to know that
- 4:29Speaker 4: I need you to do me a favorite. Please share
- 4:32Speaker 4: this show. You're listening to us, you're watching us, but
- 4:35Speaker 4: you're gatekeeping and I don't understand why you're doing that.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I really need you to share with your friends, Share
- 4:41Speaker 4: with your mama, share with your cousin, share with everybody.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Ernie, how did you feel about it?
- 4:47Speaker 7: Oh? I loved it? That is uh. It's one of
- 4:51Speaker 7: my favorite arcs.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Actually that they were adapting was The Gambit's Time is Death,
- 4:58Speaker 1: and it's one of those things never really hear A
- 5:00Speaker 1: whole heap of a lot of people talk about it,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and understandably because it's it didn't in the grand scheme
- 5:06Speaker 1: of things.
- 5:06Speaker 7: It didn't last that.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Long, uh you know in the uh in the original comics.
- 5:12Speaker 1: But like the fact that they actually put respect on
- 5:15Speaker 1: Gambit's name by letting him have his full death power set,
- 5:20Speaker 1: like because everything he did in there was all stuff
- 5:22Speaker 1: that was because like the whole time I was watching,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I was like, okay, as like, is he able to
- 5:26Speaker 1: uh you know, corrupt people? He can correct if he can,
- 5:30Speaker 1: he can he control how can he throw his car,
- 5:33Speaker 1: can control the trajectory of them after he throws them.
- 5:36Speaker 7: It is like he can do it.
- 5:37Speaker 1: It's like every every single thing that like, it was like, okay, yep,
- 5:41Speaker 1: that was death. That was I think I think we
- 5:44Speaker 1: might even have Slick seen him disintegrate somebody too, but
- 5:47Speaker 1: that's another story altogether.
- 5:50Speaker 7: Yeah, just it was great.
- 5:51Speaker 1: And then like the you know, the some of the
- 5:52Speaker 1: angles that come up with uh, you know, with Rogue
- 5:56Speaker 1: and Gambit because of the whole you know nature of
- 5:59Speaker 1: Death's news.
- 6:00Speaker 7: Data Bean and all the you know, apocalypse shenanigans.
- 6:06Speaker 1: The it was just and also X Force being like
- 6:10Speaker 1: on like just absolute just wild timing.
- 6:21Speaker 7: Cable like, I know, you know what, look Cable, I
- 6:26Speaker 7: get it. I get it. Man, he grew up wild,
- 6:30Speaker 7: but uh, you Cable, be out here. You're perpetrating being.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Questionable too in his approach. And then it's like, damn
- 6:40Speaker 4: it got foiled again. It was very scoomy, dude, I
- 6:43Speaker 4: don't know. They were very like aren't you that's just
- 6:48Speaker 4: why you didn't.
- 6:50Speaker 7: But but you're from the future, this is gonna happen.
- 6:54Speaker 4: That I was a little goofy at that juncture. That's
- 6:58Speaker 4: why I was just like, okay, y'all on that bullshit.
- 7:00Speaker 4: But otherwise, like, yeah, I did find this to be
- 7:03Speaker 4: an incredible episode generally a portion what about you? What
- 7:07Speaker 4: did you feel?
- 7:08Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it was.
- 7:09Speaker 5: I enjoyed the like arc of it all, like how
- 7:12Speaker 5: all the different pieces of the season are coming together
- 7:15Speaker 5: and just like the penultimate episode, so you would hope
- 7:17Speaker 5: that they like were tying some things off and putting
- 7:19Speaker 5: you into a good head space for the next like
- 7:22Speaker 5: the finale of the season, and I think that all
- 7:25Speaker 5: the threads are coming together in a way that are
- 7:27Speaker 5: really interesting.
- 7:28Speaker 6: At some point.
- 7:29Speaker 5: It made me like when we got Nightcrawler doing his thing,
- 7:33Speaker 5: like whenever he was.
- 7:34Speaker 6: Throwing hands and him throwing hands. I was like, Oh,
- 7:37Speaker 6: this is glorious.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Is great, But I feel like that also was a
- 7:40Speaker 5: reason behind not only that we got that pob of him,
- 7:44Speaker 5: but the reason why the last episode we had was
- 7:47Speaker 5: of him thinking about We got an insight into like
- 7:51Speaker 5: how he makes his decisions, and then for him to
- 7:53Speaker 5: come through and be something else for a minute. That
- 7:58Speaker 5: was interesting and I think that like duality of like
- 8:00Speaker 5: throughout the episode they were talking about people not being
- 8:02Speaker 5: who they are and Remy.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Not being who he is, Apocoes something who he is.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Yeah, Nightcrawler nothing who he is. I thought that was
- 8:08Speaker 5: like I liked how all those things keep coming together.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I do get what you're saying, because I did feel
- 8:12Speaker 4: that about Nightcrawler. I said, oh, so this is what
- 8:15Speaker 4: happens when you know no holds bar right, Like when
- 8:17Speaker 4: you're not thinking about people's feelings, when you're not thinking
- 8:19Speaker 4: about oh that's my c STU and all this other stuff,
- 8:22Speaker 4: like what happens when when the you know, you remove
- 8:25Speaker 4: the collar, right when you remove the leash or let
- 8:27Speaker 4: the leash go. So I found it funny and I'm
- 8:29Speaker 4: really glad you mentioned that seeing those the POV, the
- 8:32Speaker 4: point of view, the literal, you know, the way they
- 8:34Speaker 4: put the camera with the fight and giving them three
- 8:36Speaker 4: pieces and then like that, shit was what again? When
- 8:39Speaker 4: we talk about the power and the and this the
- 8:43Speaker 4: agility of these people and to be able to see
- 8:45Speaker 4: that done in animation is wild to me. And it
- 8:48Speaker 4: gave me like thoughts about like what was that X
- 8:51Speaker 4: two x Men two or whatever that scene in the
- 8:53Speaker 4: beginning and the White House with like the hardest scene
- 8:57Speaker 4: to date when it comes to nightcrawlers and showing his power,
- 9:00Speaker 4: and they did it again in this episode just in
- 9:02Speaker 4: terms of how quick he can fucking roast you understand me, Guys.
- 9:06Speaker 6: Go through people like it's just like a little rock.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Like he was literally given three pieces, four pieces to
- 9:12Speaker 4: everybody's side of biscuit, Like he was going crazy on
- 9:16Speaker 4: every single person and and he went through the whole lineup,
- 9:19Speaker 4: and I'm just like, y'all don't understand how how like
- 9:22Speaker 4: these people got hands, these people got powers, These people
- 9:25Speaker 4: are insane and like like people don't get it.
- 9:28Speaker 7: Well, it's like a.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Another little thing to add on to that. Not only
- 9:32Speaker 1: are they getting the ass beat, they're getting farted on
- 9:36Speaker 1: because uh that smoke, Oh yeah, notoriously smells like Brimstone,
- 9:41Speaker 1: so uh so not only and that I think that
- 9:44Speaker 1: that that's an aspect of his power set that I
- 9:46Speaker 1: think you is always kind of lost in translation because
- 9:50Speaker 1: every time I see him do that a little, he's
- 9:52Speaker 1: like grabbing people, snatching people teleport in the way. It's like, dude,
- 9:55Speaker 1: he is that is It's got to be embarrassing because
- 9:59Speaker 1: you're you're getting the brakes beat off of you, like
- 10:03Speaker 1: like you're getting literally getting the X gene stamped out
- 10:06Speaker 1: of you.
- 10:07Speaker 7: And hey, you gotta smell that funk.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Which is wild. Also the reference with death right. You
- 10:15Speaker 4: just had Brimstone, right, so now you're talking about hell
- 10:17Speaker 4: and the devil and firing and all that stuff. So
- 10:19Speaker 4: your life is terrible to begin with, and it smells
- 10:22Speaker 4: like ass in the room, Like I know, it's smell
- 10:24Speaker 4: crazy in there, I know it do.
- 10:26Speaker 3: And then the and then the last part that they
- 10:28Speaker 3: showed I think that was last season, is how it
- 10:30Speaker 3: feels for other people to get teleported when he takes
- 10:34Speaker 3: you through it. You saw that last season where it's
- 10:36Speaker 3: like everybody gets all stretched out and ship and they're
- 10:38Speaker 3: all fucked up. So imagining him doing this repeatedly while
- 10:42Speaker 3: he is whooping your ass at the same time. It's
- 10:45Speaker 3: some wild liked and X Force, right, it was everybody there,
- 10:54Speaker 3: everybody nerved them all by himself.
- 10:57Speaker 4: I'm feeling feeling like ornamented in the Game of Threat.
- 11:00Speaker 6: It's really like, oh.
- 11:01Speaker 1: My god, yeah, well it's and you know something something
- 11:05Speaker 1: that I think really has to be you kind of
- 11:08Speaker 1: point out like you said earlier, the you know, seeing
- 11:10Speaker 1: some of these things in motion really kind of like
- 11:13Speaker 1: like case in point you you you talk about characters
- 11:16Speaker 1: getting like you know, you're kind of getting that moment
- 11:20Speaker 1: like we saw.
- 11:20Speaker 7: Jubilee get it earlier this season.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It's like a lot of people who like I talked
- 11:24Speaker 1: to a lot of people who they didn't care about
- 11:27Speaker 1: Jubilee like at all, but like when they saw Jubilee
- 11:29Speaker 1: like shoot, like going off like she did earlier than
- 11:33Speaker 1: the season, like, oh, I didn't know she had it
- 11:34Speaker 1: like that.
- 11:34Speaker 7: I was like, dude, she did had it like that.
- 11:37Speaker 2: She.
- 11:37Speaker 7: I was like, dude, she.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Got it out the like she's she's.
- 11:41Speaker 7: You.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You can't sleep on these young X men that came
- 11:44Speaker 1: up like back in like the seventies, eighties and nineties
- 11:47Speaker 1: because they all had to get it out the mud
- 11:49Speaker 1: and they all had to come up. They all I
- 11:52Speaker 1: got uplifted at some point, like they might have started
- 11:54Speaker 1: out kind of slow, but like they came up later
- 11:57Speaker 1: you're like, oh, Okay, these characters actually way more bad
- 12:00Speaker 1: and I thought they were. You know, Night Crawlers got
- 12:03Speaker 1: in his. A lot of characters have gotten there. Hell,
- 12:06Speaker 1: even like I remember the first season, Cyclops got his
- 12:08Speaker 1: because a lot of people were like, Oh, I didn't
- 12:10Speaker 1: know Cyclops could do that.
- 12:11Speaker 7: I don't know he could.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Slide around like that and do the stuff he does.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Seeing seeing it in motion. That's the thing that's one
- 12:19Speaker 1: of the best parts to me a lot of the
- 12:22Speaker 1: time about the show because it puts respect on characters
- 12:26Speaker 1: you might you might not even know could do the
- 12:28Speaker 1: stuff they're doing.
- 12:30Speaker 3: And then beyond like the I mean, while like we said,
- 12:34Speaker 3: all of the action, everything is absolutely incredible. It's just
- 12:38Speaker 3: insane to see this stuff because for someone who grew
- 12:41Speaker 3: up on the comics everything, and you know the limits
- 12:44Speaker 3: to how these people have this limit where they can
- 12:46Speaker 3: just do all this wild stuff. You've never seen it.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Like you know, you said the greatest was X two
- 12:52Speaker 3: and now it's animation in the story like X two
- 12:55Speaker 3: is cool, but there's nothing on that first season when
- 12:57Speaker 3: night Crawler was fucking people up. When he gets he's like,
- 13:00Speaker 3: you have another sword or three swords and he had
- 13:03Speaker 3: the three swords with his tail on everything. Yeah, and
- 13:05Speaker 3: then this season when this happened, So this is the
- 13:08Speaker 3: greatest night Caller scene. And then the other thing about
- 13:11Speaker 3: the animation is the emotions, like it is Rogue and Gambit.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Rogue is probably one of my top five X Men.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I know we're gonna do this list at some point.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Yeah, top three, yeah, top, yeah, top.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Rogue was the first, like that was my first crush everything.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Rogue was the one boy like man, I think she
- 13:36Speaker 3: was into. My first X Men issue I ever read
- 13:38Speaker 3: was the one with Rogan Wolverine. I think that was
- 13:41Speaker 3: one of the very first issues I've ever read.
- 13:43Speaker 4: So you already have a strong connection to her and
- 13:44Speaker 4: then through emotion, and it.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Took me a long time to grow on Rogue and Gambit.
- 13:49Speaker 3: When they got together, I thought it was corny at first,
- 13:51Speaker 3: but as you know, yeah, yeah, you know, he's just
- 13:59Speaker 3: all you know, he's sleep in carge. You know, he
- 14:03Speaker 3: got the purple eye like it was just it was like,
- 14:06Speaker 3: oh God, this guy's so corny. I couldnot stay again.
- 14:09Speaker 7: But in general, first don't.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Hate yeah, but when you read him in the comics,
- 14:15Speaker 3: at first, it was just like he was so over
- 14:16Speaker 3: the top because that's what Chris Claramont wanted him to be,
- 14:19Speaker 3: like over the top. And so he grew on me though,
- 14:22Speaker 3: don't get me wrong. And you know, just through the
- 14:24Speaker 3: animated series, he was becoming such a character. And if
- 14:28Speaker 3: you watch ninety two and then how he dies in
- 14:31Speaker 3: ninety seven, it is like for people who really watched
- 14:35Speaker 3: ninety two, it's you know, ninety seven will really hurt you.
- 14:39Speaker 3: And so all of this and then this reunion between
- 14:42Speaker 3: them when you see all their emotions, Roagues dream in
- 14:45Speaker 3: the beginning, just this whole episode is all the little moments,
- 14:49Speaker 3: and I gotta say, we gotta, you know, get back
- 14:52Speaker 3: to the beginning because we had roads Dream, which was wild.
- 14:55Speaker 3: But I have to bring this up because I was
- 14:57Speaker 3: watching the show and I'm sitting there like, yo, hold up.
- 15:00Speaker 3: The X Men are some of the most disrespectful people
- 15:03Speaker 3: ever I've seen in life. The whole group of them
- 15:07Speaker 3: sit there playing cards with rogue. It has not been
- 15:13Speaker 3: that long, folks. Can you imagine just every time you
- 15:17Speaker 3: want a deal, Rogue, you know what I mean, what's
- 15:19Speaker 3: in your hand? Rogue? You know what I mean? You
- 15:24Speaker 3: know you're look at the chocolate.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Well mean the fact that night Crowler said, oh, the
- 15:31Speaker 1: dead Man's hands, Oh my god.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Bro, Kurt, I was like, Kurt, your sister is sitting
- 15:38Speaker 2: right there.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Available now at four all nerds dot com. The Gucci Mandalorian,
- 15:45Speaker 3: the variants, the Dunken Egg, the Lion Oldrich new designs
- 15:51Speaker 3: coming soon, and.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Look there, there's long been the same ever since Kitty
- 15:58Speaker 1: Pride joined the X joined the X Men back in
- 16:01Speaker 1: the day.
- 16:03Speaker 7: Welcome to the X Men.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Hope you survived the experience that is not limited, that
- 16:10Speaker 1: is not limited to sentinels and like Apocalypse and Magneto
- 16:15Speaker 1: and like the friends of Humanity, that applies to your teammates.
- 16:25Speaker 5: It was it was actually Frank, like hek it was
- 16:28Speaker 5: Hank McCoy who did the dead Man's hand, because it
- 16:31Speaker 5: was a Kurt who had like the eights or whatever.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And he was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, that was that.
- 16:39Speaker 3: He should have not like you're saying, Hank should have
- 16:41Speaker 3: just thrown as he should have folded right, Hank should
- 16:43Speaker 3: have been like.
- 16:46Speaker 4: When you say that.
- 16:47Speaker 5: The emotional intelligence that like, I feel like he would
- 16:51Speaker 5: have been a little nice.
- 16:52Speaker 4: About it, been like, well, an emotional intelligence. The cool
- 16:56Speaker 4: day teacher is Professor X, which I wanted mentioned before
- 17:01Speaker 4: befocause I definitely got to get this out. Professor has
- 17:03Speaker 4: to be a bitch sometimes, man, Okay, every time he's
- 17:07Speaker 4: he's worse than Gene a lot of times where he's
- 17:09Speaker 4: either getting knocked out his chair he's getting pimp slapped
- 17:12Speaker 4: by somebody every single time. And it happened again during
- 17:16Speaker 4: his battle with Apocalypse Slash Gambit, And I always just
- 17:22Speaker 4: ask like, is this nigga this powerful?
- 17:24Speaker 6: Nah?
- 17:25Speaker 4: Like it's so funny to me. Where I talked to
- 17:27Speaker 4: Ben about how the original X Men series, how as
- 17:30Speaker 4: me as a kid watching that, Now watching that as
- 17:33Speaker 4: an adult, I'm like, oh, they actually nerved a lot
- 17:35Speaker 4: of people, Like I never knew you believe was that strong.
- 17:37Speaker 4: I never knew, as you mentioned earlier, that cyclops like
- 17:42Speaker 4: hal moves like that have motion like that. Now fast forward,
- 17:45Speaker 4: I feel like they nerfing the hell out of Charles,
- 17:47Speaker 4: Like I'm just like, damn, he's such a he. They
- 17:50Speaker 4: don't show Yuh, it's always he's taking the l's a
- 17:53Speaker 4: lot of times here.
- 17:54Speaker 7: Yeah, well that's what they had.
- 17:56Speaker 1: They had to so like you, the meme that you
- 17:59Speaker 1: used to always come out of the original show was
- 18:01Speaker 1: like Jean was always feigning, Charls was already he was
- 18:06Speaker 1: always hollering, he was always screaming. So the thing is
- 18:12Speaker 1: they and and to an extent, they kind of did
- 18:15Speaker 1: it to in the original series, not so much of
- 18:17Speaker 1: this one. Storm also got had to be nerved a
- 18:20Speaker 1: little bit because they always used this. They kept playing
- 18:22Speaker 1: into her claustrophobia or like something would happen, she would
- 18:26Speaker 1: get knocked out of the sky or something like. But
- 18:28Speaker 1: but the reason why is because like, yeah, those characters
- 18:31Speaker 1: are way more powerful than like it's it becomes that
- 18:36Speaker 1: situation where, okay, we like the previous episode is a
- 18:40Speaker 1: prime example, we have to write Storm off this episode
- 18:44Speaker 1: because if she's here, yeah, go ahead, go ahead.
- 18:56Speaker 4: No, it's just I get it. It's just like if
- 18:59Speaker 4: this person shows up and deess, you know, snapstay fingers
- 19:02Speaker 4: is over with her. However, KMA, now you're giving the
- 19:05Speaker 4: false impression that this person is ineffective, and that's what bothers.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Me is like there's some sort of some sort of
- 19:12Speaker 4: balance and now I'm not an and just bringing it
- 19:15Speaker 4: all back to Charles. I'm not a Charles fan. I'm
- 19:17Speaker 4: not I'm not even a professor X fan like that.
- 19:19Speaker 4: It's just it's just funny to me, how the you know,
- 19:21Speaker 4: the tables have turned or the turns have tabled, if
- 19:23Speaker 4: you will, right, Like, I just it was interesting. But
- 19:27Speaker 4: he's he's not giming off effective.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Honestly, And you know, I have one hundred percent agree.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I'm not a Charles fan. I actually I hate the guy.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I take every opportunity, I take every opportunity to point
- 19:39Speaker 1: out that Charles is a terrible father.
- 19:43Speaker 7: He's a terrible leader. Uh.
- 19:45Speaker 1: He perved on Jeane when she was when she was little,
- 19:48Speaker 1: and the only reason he thought it was inappropriate to
- 19:53Speaker 1: pursue a relationship with her was because he was in
- 19:55Speaker 1: a wheelchair, not because he was a grown ass man.
- 19:58Speaker 1: And he enslaved the Uh, he enslaved the danger room,
- 20:02Speaker 1: and he lied to Cyclops about having a third brother.
- 20:06Speaker 6: Uh.
- 20:07Speaker 1: The man's terrible. And also his son Legion is just
- 20:10Speaker 1: so disrespected. But so yeah, yeah, Charles gets no cookies.
- 20:14Speaker 7: From me on anything.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Yeah, he gets nothing from me, but uh yeah, it
- 20:19Speaker 1: is weird to have like the guy who regularly is
- 20:23Speaker 1: referred to and even sometimes refers to himself as the
- 20:25Speaker 1: most powerful telepath on the planet.
- 20:27Speaker 7: Right, but you ain't you ain't. You ain't doing nothing.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You're letting, which, to be fair, Gambit in that form
- 20:35Speaker 1: has a lot of psychic resistance compared to normal.
- 20:40Speaker 7: But the fact that you.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Let Gambit just like I'm talking about, like Gambit is
- 20:46Speaker 1: hanging off the rim with his nuts on Charles's bald forehead,
- 20:52Speaker 1: like he just and Charles is.
- 20:54Speaker 7: Like, I don't know what the hell.
- 21:04Speaker 1: He's like, No, it's like it's like we don't have
- 21:11Speaker 1: no ref blowing a whistle. We ain't got no ref
- 21:13Speaker 1: holding up no cards, we ain't got nobody like asking
- 21:16Speaker 1: for you. Just it's like, honestly, it couldn't have happened
- 21:20Speaker 1: to a better guy.
- 21:21Speaker 7: So I agree.
- 21:22Speaker 6: I agree.
- 21:22Speaker 4: And the one other thing I just want to mention,
- 21:24Speaker 4: which I was again when they when we talk about
- 21:28Speaker 4: there doing this, because you're not going to have a
- 21:30Speaker 4: story without doing it. When we talk about nerving or
- 21:32Speaker 4: quote adjusting, you're telling me those three telekinetics was needed
- 21:38Speaker 4: to hold that plane up so it wouldn't completely crash.
- 21:41Speaker 4: You're telling me I thought that was questionable. You said
- 21:46Speaker 4: the table and the other one, thank you. All three
- 21:51Speaker 4: of them were needed to hold the plane up, like
- 21:54Speaker 4: all of them were required and they weren't straining. And
- 21:57Speaker 4: I'm just like, y'all was straight in one moment, but
- 21:59Speaker 4: just fighting a pocalypse a moment ago, like I just
- 22:02Speaker 4: I didn't. It's not balanced.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Sometime Jane should not have needed any help Gene by herself.
- 22:10Speaker 4: And that's my point. Which which which version of I mean,
- 22:12Speaker 4: which version of which clone of Gene is this? Because
- 22:15Speaker 4: the painting they decide whether or not she's more powerful
- 22:18Speaker 4: enough to do some of that. And that's why when
- 22:20Speaker 4: her long in it, I'm like, well, what the hell
- 22:22Speaker 4: do you mean? Like why do I see the butterfly
- 22:23Speaker 4: in front? That part about like just inconsistent levels of
- 22:28Speaker 4: power and that that has again, this has been even
- 22:31Speaker 4: through the MCU itself through animation is inconsistencies four pot.
- 22:35Speaker 4: And then the fact that out of the eight episodes,
- 22:38Speaker 4: four or five of those episodes a plane has been
- 22:40Speaker 4: going down and they've shot like literally and they've shown
- 22:44Speaker 4: people be able to like get them, you know, and
- 22:47Speaker 4: I say, this is a bigger plane, but it ain't
- 22:48Speaker 4: that serious. I don't know. It's just I gotta, I gotta,
- 22:51Speaker 4: I gotta call you know, gotta call that one, like
- 22:54Speaker 4: come on.
- 22:55Speaker 7: You're right, you're right too.
- 22:57Speaker 1: And and honestly, I think it should always be pointed
- 23:00Speaker 1: out because uh you. I think in regards to them,
- 23:07Speaker 1: like trying to you, let's keep the plot, you know,
- 23:10Speaker 1: nice and tidy.
- 23:11Speaker 7: We need we need, we need to do this and do.
- 23:13Speaker 1: That to make sure stuff doesn't pop off. It's you know,
- 23:17Speaker 1: sometimes depending on how it's.
- 23:19Speaker 7: Done, I can perceive it as lazy, uh or yeah.
- 23:22Speaker 1: But I feel like what they I feel like what
- 23:24Speaker 1: they were really trying to do is like just oh,
- 23:26Speaker 1: we got to create some drama and I.
- 23:30Speaker 7: Don't want to. Yeah, we we don't want to.
- 23:32Speaker 1: We don't want Jeane to pass out you because yeah
- 23:36Speaker 1: that's old and tired. But like yeah, I and and
- 23:40Speaker 1: I would even go, yeah, it's just it's it's it's
- 23:43Speaker 1: just I wish, yeah, but I'm anymore.
- 23:52Speaker 4: The ship the Titanic went down six times. I know
- 23:55Speaker 4: what's about to happen again. It's not dramatical anymore, right,
- 23:58Speaker 4: Like Okay, yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Even if it crashed, Jane could have put like a
- 24:02Speaker 1: force field around it. But that kind of speaks to
- 24:04Speaker 1: the point because I remember when Danger dot Ex he
- 24:08Speaker 1: came out and I was like, so, y'all just gonna
- 24:11Speaker 1: have Sink sit here and do nothing. That's like, Sink
- 24:12Speaker 1: got all your powers right now, he ain't doing nothing.
- 24:16Speaker 1: That's crazy, that like, but that's why they didn't because
- 24:18Speaker 1: if Sink actually did do something, it'd been like, oh well, yeah, man,
- 24:22Speaker 1: everybody else go.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Home, right, Yeah, But he's also a kid, so you can,
- 24:25Speaker 3: you know, you can excuse that at that point, you know,
- 24:27Speaker 3: like I get that that he's not right for. But
- 24:30Speaker 3: what happened to Bishop and Polaris this episode.
- 24:32Speaker 6: They were not there.
- 24:33Speaker 4: They just weren't.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Yeah, they were a side quest all right.
- 24:39Speaker 4: They were in the Savage Land, the Sabage Land, right,
- 24:41Speaker 4: they were in the intro s late, but they weren't
- 24:43Speaker 4: here because they were in the Savage Lands. Remember they
- 24:46Speaker 4: fucking around over there, and then still they're doing that
- 24:50Speaker 4: but like the answer we're giving.
- 24:54Speaker 3: All right, cool, and they went out on a date,
- 24:56Speaker 3: you know whatever, Like.
- 24:58Speaker 7: Yeah, side making puppy dog guys.
- 25:01Speaker 4: I love you, guys, I gotta go all right, thank
- 25:04Speaker 4: you for joining us.
- 25:06Speaker 7: And it was a pleasure.
- 25:10Speaker 5: On real quick on Professor X, I was I was
- 25:14Speaker 5: taking him being inside of Remy's mind and like and
- 25:19Speaker 5: locked with like Apocalypse, Like he keeps locking in with Apocalypse.
- 25:22Speaker 6: Apocalypse is the only like threat to him.
- 25:25Speaker 5: So I was looking at it as like he can't
- 25:28Speaker 5: really go that hard like that, this is him at
- 25:30Speaker 5: his best. It's Apocalypse, like that's his power. Like he
- 25:33Speaker 5: still hasn't gotten over. He was kept going over and
- 25:35Speaker 5: over with Danger Apocalypse, and he still hasn't beat it yet.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Like even whenever he went against Danger and she was
- 25:41Speaker 5: being an Apocalypse level threat to him, it was Polarious.
- 25:44Speaker 6: Who came through and like shut it down.
- 25:46Speaker 5: So he still hasn't a push past that issue wing
- 25:49Speaker 5: Apocalypse basically.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean he he Charles is in the
- 25:53Speaker 1: hurt Locker. He's he's Charles is down bad. And I
- 26:00Speaker 1: think the Danger the Danger episode really highlighted how just
- 26:09Speaker 1: right now he is. I mean, the guy was like
- 26:11Speaker 1: reliving Magneto's death over and over and over and over
- 26:15Speaker 1: and over and over again, and I feel like, you know,
- 26:18Speaker 1: and I don't know, maybe they'll do it. Maybe they won't,
- 26:20Speaker 1: maybe they'll pull the trigger, maybe they won't. But like
- 26:22Speaker 1: I know, originally they were at least seemingly teasing some
- 26:28Speaker 1: kind of a major arc for Charles, and they keep
- 26:32Speaker 1: kind of hinting at it and hinting at it and
- 26:34Speaker 1: hinting at it since the first season.
- 26:37Speaker 7: So I don't know, maybe next.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Episode, Yeah, we were talking about that, maybe he pops off.
- 26:45Speaker 3: We were talked about this last week where it's like
- 26:46Speaker 3: we don't really know where it's going. And I'll give
- 26:50Speaker 3: them that. Like, I didn't expect this episode to not
- 26:52Speaker 3: have like physical apocalypse in it at least, you know,
- 26:56Speaker 3: I thought, you know, we talked about there's been all
- 26:58Speaker 3: the ideas about their being who apocalypses out there, Kreapoca,
- 27:02Speaker 3: you know, a Pokalai. I'm not sure how you say it,
- 27:05Speaker 3: but you know, there was more than one. But now
- 27:08Speaker 3: it's like, okay, now just seems be won. He's dead
- 27:10Speaker 3: or not dead, as he says, he always survives. I
- 27:13Speaker 3: did have a question what was because there was a
- 27:16Speaker 3: lot of like I love this dude about this episode.
- 27:18Speaker 3: It's like Gambit and Apocalypse just kept shutting people down
- 27:22Speaker 3: when they're making speeches like external you know, gives the fire,
- 27:29Speaker 3: comes in with a fire speech and gam It's like, yeah,
- 27:32Speaker 3: whatever to that, you know, box door to the chest,
- 27:35Speaker 3: stick out the back, you done, never to return turn? Yeah, disintegrated, right, Yeah,
- 27:40Speaker 3: that was.
- 27:40Speaker 7: The Yeah, that was the insintegration. Y.
- 27:43Speaker 3: I mean, I do believe that's the end of her.
- 27:45Speaker 3: You know, I don't need to see her again, Like
- 27:46Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Like, well, I mean.
- 27:49Speaker 1: She's even a different I mean, Cadre's a funny character.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Like I don't I don't know what they were. Look,
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'll always take the representation. But I was like, I remember,
- 28:00Speaker 1: remember the first time I ever saw her, I didn't
- 28:01Speaker 1: know who she was. Yeah, I mean, like even hearing
- 28:04Speaker 1: her name, I was like, who is Candra? And then
- 28:06Speaker 1: when I went and looked it up, I was like, oh,
- 28:09Speaker 1: that's a white woman.
- 28:11Speaker 7: I was like, that's a.
- 28:12Speaker 1: White woman in the commers. I was like, oh damn.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I mean, I'll take it.
- 28:15Speaker 7: You take it. That's reparation as far as I'm concerned.
- 28:19Speaker 1: But but right, but I was like, you know, I
- 28:24Speaker 1: was like, who's checking for Candra in in uh in
- 28:28Speaker 1: this day and age?
- 28:28Speaker 7: I have a question.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Question.
- 28:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm like I'm trying to remember.
- 28:32Speaker 5: So in this episode one, I don't I don't know
- 28:35Speaker 5: if she's dead dead because there's whenever you see her,
- 28:38Speaker 5: dusts of it's some sprinkles in the water like where
- 28:40Speaker 5: she came from.
- 28:41Speaker 6: Like there's like a little.
- 28:42Speaker 5: Animation sweet there that's going on. But is she not
- 28:47Speaker 5: the same woman that Kang like you saw and she's
- 28:55Speaker 5: involved with Kang and we haven't yet seen where they're
- 28:58Speaker 5: going with Kang in this series, Like there might be
- 29:02Speaker 5: a return of her in relations to Paint directly, I
- 29:06Speaker 5: could see it.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Yeah. My thing with her and the whole externals from
- 29:11Speaker 3: the comics was that's when I was like tuned out, honestly,
- 29:15Speaker 3: Like when they were introduced and Cannonball was the first
- 29:19Speaker 3: ex turnal on the comics where of like of the
- 29:22Speaker 3: new Mutants where he was supposed to live forever and
- 29:24Speaker 3: all of a sudden, but it was like Cannonball the
- 29:27Speaker 3: kid from Kansas, Like you know, that's when I just
- 29:30Speaker 3: tuned out because rob the field of writing, it was
- 29:33Speaker 3: a bunch of gobbledy books and yeah, so whenever made
- 29:37Speaker 3: no sense. Yeah, when people bring them up, ever, it's
- 29:40Speaker 3: like you're you know, you're still trying to make external
- 29:43Speaker 3: work like no fam like. So that's why seeing her
- 29:46Speaker 3: get served like that really did it for me. I
- 29:49Speaker 3: mean representation aside. Yo, I'm sorry that was hilarious because
- 29:53Speaker 3: she came in talking bid talk and then whap and
- 29:56Speaker 3: then the other big talk no go ahead, no on.
- 29:59Speaker 5: Because Mike that I also had that thought, I think
- 30:01Speaker 5: with someone else who got caught I think the game
- 30:04Speaker 5: but also cut off Xavier to give a speech, and
- 30:07Speaker 5: that's where my question was, Okay, well but this is Michael,
- 30:11Speaker 5: this is my thought. This is like a motif because
- 30:13Speaker 5: like from the nineties, do you remember, like all the
- 30:15Speaker 5: villains kept giving speeches and then they'd always get cut off. Yeah,
- 30:19Speaker 5: so I'm like, what is happening like now with the
- 30:22Speaker 5: writers of the show. Are they just like flipping that
- 30:24Speaker 5: motif where it's like nobody needs to talk like to
- 30:28Speaker 5: your plan. Either you are when is this thing as
- 30:31Speaker 5: Amandias and he already been playing thirty minutes ago and
- 30:34Speaker 5: now you're just talking your ship after the game the
- 30:36Speaker 5: plan is executed already, or you're not.
- 30:39Speaker 6: Like either wrap it up, wrap it up, do your
- 30:43Speaker 6: big one.
- 30:44Speaker 5: Like don't sit over here trying to make a plan
- 30:45Speaker 5: I don't care if you're a villain or a hero.
- 30:47Speaker 6: No, we don't. We don't have time for that.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I feel like they're run dmc fans uh the whole
- 30:53Speaker 1: You talk too much, That's how I feel. That's how
- 30:58Speaker 1: I feel like Gambit was doing. Everybody like you talk
- 31:01Speaker 1: too much? Yes, like I'm here for it. I love
- 31:04Speaker 1: it because you know I I one thousand percent agree.
- 31:07Speaker 1: The reason why I think osamandi Is is probably one
- 31:10Speaker 1: of the greatest villains of all time in the history
- 31:12Speaker 1: of ever is because yeah, he gave the monologue, but
- 31:14Speaker 1: he already did the business.
- 31:16Speaker 7: Business was done. You didn't need there was no.
- 31:18Speaker 1: There's nothing you could do to stop it. But when
- 31:21Speaker 1: villain's monologue and you ain't hit the button yet, or
- 31:24Speaker 1: you haven't like thrown gwyn Stacey off the ledge, or
- 31:28Speaker 1: you haven't tied the children down to the train track
- 31:32Speaker 1: or whatever villains do these days, I'm kind of like, then,
- 31:37Speaker 1: what was all this for?
- 31:38Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, basically, you know, you're Drake out here
- 31:42Speaker 3: and you talking about pushing a red button in right
- 31:48Speaker 3: waiting on that red button. Anyway, my question was what
- 31:51Speaker 3: was Charles about to say? What was the power that
- 31:55Speaker 3: he was about to draw, because he says, just like
- 31:58Speaker 3: Jean used the Phoenix and then brand Crystal, I'm gonna
- 32:01Speaker 3: use And I'm sitting there like what, Charles, I don't
- 32:04Speaker 3: know what else you got, like you Charles.
- 32:10Speaker 7: All Us left his onslaught.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, but he ain't gonna say I'm gonna
- 32:13Speaker 3: use the power of one.
- 32:14Speaker 7: Yeah, because he doesn't know he has it. He doesn't
- 32:16Speaker 7: even know he has it. I just I think my dead.
- 32:20Speaker 6: Lover the power of friendship.
- 32:25Speaker 1: All right, I mean honestly, like you know, Charles and
- 32:30Speaker 1: and that, and once again, this this kind of speaks
- 32:33Speaker 1: back to this speaks back to what Tai was saying
- 32:37Speaker 1: earlier about uh, the Charles being nerved. Yes, because once
- 32:44Speaker 1: again you despite not ever being considered I mean they've
- 32:49Speaker 1: hinted at well, no, technically it's been retconned.
- 32:52Speaker 7: He is an omega level mutant now.
- 32:55Speaker 1: But like originally when the term omega level mutant was
- 32:57Speaker 1: first kind of making the rounds, he was not.
- 33:00Speaker 7: But and Jean was considered omega level.
- 33:04Speaker 1: It's like, well, if you are the most powerful telepath
- 33:07Speaker 1: and she is the omega level mutine, I feel like
- 33:10Speaker 1: she is an Omega level telepath you know, they both
- 33:13Speaker 1: her and Quinn Choir considered Omega level telepath So it's
- 33:16Speaker 1: kind of like, well, then what does that make you?
- 33:19Speaker 1: Because you can't say you're the most powerful that that's
- 33:23Speaker 1: like saying you're the best pizza in town.
- 33:24Speaker 7: Anybody can say that.
- 33:25Speaker 6: Shit.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Well, he's a liar. I mean we know that already.
- 33:28Speaker 1: He's a line liar who lies is what he is.
- 33:31Speaker 1: But no, I I do wonder what it is he's
- 33:33Speaker 1: drawing upon because I feel like there is nothing other
- 33:38Speaker 1: than like, like you said, it's the.
- 33:40Speaker 7: I'm gonna call on. I'm gonna summon the power of
- 33:47Speaker 7: the man I love.
- 33:49Speaker 1: But will not say out loud because I'm sorry, there's
- 33:53Speaker 1: no way you can tell me those two dudes weren't.
- 33:54Speaker 7: I mean, I'm I'm all for platonic relationships. Look at
- 33:57Speaker 7: me wrong.
- 33:57Speaker 1: I'm not saying two men can't be really intensely you know,
- 34:01Speaker 1: friends without their being in romance involved.
- 34:04Speaker 7: But I'm sorry the.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Way Charles was crying from I was like, I have
- 34:09Speaker 1: only seen dudes do that for dus they in love with.
- 34:13Speaker 1: So I was like, hey, look and I'm here for it.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I want him to let that love flourish. I want
- 34:18Speaker 1: to get that love out there.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I would definitely cry for some of my friends passing,
- 34:22Speaker 3: and I've done it. The one to seal it for
- 34:25Speaker 3: me was Charles having picture of Magnito on his desk.
- 34:27Speaker 3: That's that's when. That's that's when I just said a
- 34:31Speaker 3: picture them hugged up together on his desk was wild
- 34:34Speaker 3: work to me. I've got you know, I've got brothers.
- 34:38Speaker 3: I've known since straight up, my brother Andrew, shout out
- 34:41Speaker 3: to him. He's listening right now. Since second grade. I've
- 34:44Speaker 3: known this man. You know. I do not have a
- 34:46Speaker 3: picture of us hold up together on on my desk, bro,
- 34:48Speaker 3: Like it ain't happening. Okay.
- 34:50Speaker 6: Also, it's also twenty six. You have a phone, you
- 34:54Speaker 6: have pictures on you if you have.
- 34:55Speaker 5: A gallery, yeah, this is ninety People have things on
- 34:58Speaker 5: their desk, they on their wall behind them or whatever.
- 35:01Speaker 5: I'm like again, I'm like, it can be what it is.
- 35:04Speaker 5: I'm all kinds of love.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I do not care, all right, I pictures on the wall.
- 35:09Speaker 7: You're right, because like you go.
- 35:11Speaker 5: In people's offices at that time, they have pictures the
- 35:13Speaker 5: shaking hands with the mayor. The mayor didn't even they
- 35:16Speaker 5: don't even know the mayor's name. They just shook the
- 35:18Speaker 5: hands with the mayor one time.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I got a picture with Nigga, Like, I'm.
- 35:23Speaker 6: Like, that's not one.
- 35:28Speaker 5: Is I gotta sign one in the back because I
- 35:30Speaker 5: don't want I don't want to it over there.
- 35:34Speaker 7: Well, wonder Rock, that's all that is.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Charles is like, you got to picture, man, you know,
- 35:41Speaker 3: I don't ye know what.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Let me ask you this because this is something that's
- 35:46Speaker 1: kind of been on my mind ever since the show
- 35:49Speaker 1: kicked off the season X Factor, I ain't gonna hold you.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I've never been the biggest like X Factor. I always
- 36:00Speaker 1: thought the suits look cool. I was never really like
- 36:02Speaker 1: the biggest reader of them until like later in life.
- 36:05Speaker 1: But like, I ain't gonna hold you, man, I don't
- 36:10Speaker 1: really think there's any way X Factory gonna walk out
- 36:12Speaker 1: of this uh looking clean, And I like, I know,
- 36:18Speaker 1: like you. X Men ninety seven has had this really
- 36:21Speaker 1: probably the biggest criticism I've ever had of the show,
- 36:26Speaker 1: even going back to the previous season, and I've seen
- 36:28Speaker 1: a lot of people say the same shit that they
- 36:30Speaker 1: run through storylines too quickly, which I can kind of
- 36:33Speaker 1: understand that there are some storylines I'm like, yeah, I
- 36:36Speaker 1: don't know.
- 36:37Speaker 7: You're gonna really squeeze much more out of this.
- 36:39Speaker 1: But there have been some like in the case of
- 36:40Speaker 1: Madeline Pryor, where they were like we just kind of
- 36:45Speaker 1: rush right through Inferno, Like Inferno was a storyline that
- 36:48Speaker 1: went for years. Literally we were that shit up in
- 36:54Speaker 1: twenty minutes. We ran the entirety.
- 36:58Speaker 7: I think in Fern, I forget exactly how many years,
- 37:00Speaker 7: but I don't.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Mean like one or two know that ship went for
- 37:04Speaker 1: a while.
- 37:08Speaker 3: I've been rereading Claremont's X Men and I got through
- 37:11Speaker 3: in Frontal recently, and the lead up, you know, takes
- 37:14Speaker 3: place all in Australia. When that's Men out there, it's
- 37:17Speaker 3: just a Madeline gets a lot of development and a
- 37:19Speaker 3: lot of really good development, and she an.
- 37:22Speaker 6: The opportunity for that to come up in the future seasons.
- 37:25Speaker 3: And she did.
- 37:26Speaker 1: She's dead, but I mean, that's never But but here's
- 37:29Speaker 1: the thing that's never. Yeah, that's just never stopped maddeling
- 37:34Speaker 1: like she's died and come back before. But you know,
- 37:37Speaker 1: I just I feel like she she they kind of
- 37:40Speaker 1: did a thing where they they kind of gave Madeline
- 37:44Speaker 1: the happy ending that she never got to have in
- 37:47Speaker 1: the comics where like she was and they tried to
- 37:50Speaker 1: give it to her in the comics and they did recently,
- 37:53Speaker 1: but it took a long time frameboy, to get there.
- 37:56Speaker 1: But that's kind of my question with this, is like
- 37:58Speaker 1: with X Factor, because X they're basically, i mean, let's
- 38:02Speaker 1: be real, they're ice.
- 38:03Speaker 7: Yeah, keep it a bug, they're ice. Man, how do they.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Turn that back around? Cause, like, you know, because they're
- 38:11Speaker 1: clearly they're kind of I'm not gonna lie, they're getting
- 38:13Speaker 1: into some they're getting kind of they're skating up to
- 38:15Speaker 1: executioner song shenanigans with with the current arc without really
- 38:21Speaker 1: doing executioner song like directly.
- 38:25Speaker 7: But yeah, how do you You can't moon walk that back?
- 38:31Speaker 1: Like you can't like be like, yep, we're ice and
- 38:35Speaker 1: then get to the end of this and be like, well,
- 38:37Speaker 1: actually we've had we've turned over new Leaf and you
- 38:40Speaker 1: only got one more episode.
- 38:41Speaker 7: So does X Factor in this season just still being ice?
- 38:46Speaker 3: Is that? Is? That?
- 38:47Speaker 1: Is that just their job going forward? Is just man,
- 38:50Speaker 1: we're ice, just straight up and down.
- 38:53Speaker 3: But Okay, and then you have the question because in
- 38:55Speaker 3: this at the end of this episode, you do have
- 38:57Speaker 3: the remaining member of X Force joining up with Ice,
- 39:02Speaker 3: so you know, what does that say about them? And
- 39:05Speaker 3: Havoc has already had the chance, you know, his ex
- 39:08Speaker 3: girlfriend and his brother that he doesn't know exists at
- 39:12Speaker 3: least on this show. Still doesn't he know, but other
- 39:16Speaker 3: people do. Jean Gray, for one, does know that these
- 39:19Speaker 3: two men are brothers, and it's not mentioned the cyclope
- 39:22Speaker 3: say yo, your brother's over there being Ice.
- 39:24Speaker 7: And the sad words. They've met.
- 39:26Speaker 1: They've met on this season, not in this series. In
- 39:29Speaker 1: the previous series they met and not a word was
- 39:32Speaker 1: uttered between them other than like, oh see around.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Yeah, because they didn't know. But Jean knows and other
- 39:38Speaker 3: people know. I mean Corsar, you know, their father knows.
- 39:41Speaker 3: But no one's mentioned this to this man. And that again,
- 39:44Speaker 3: like we said earlier, you know, with them playing cards.
- 39:46Speaker 3: You know, like you said when we were off the air,
- 39:49Speaker 3: it's your family who will hurt you, you know every time.
- 39:52Speaker 3: You know, family gonna do you bad every time. And
- 39:56Speaker 3: God damn boy, because yeah, demands on E And I
- 40:01Speaker 3: don't know. I think it continues with this arc at
- 40:03Speaker 3: least through the next season. Like I may see defections
- 40:07Speaker 3: on both sides, perhaps some X Force let's see who
- 40:09Speaker 3: we got over there, silot an archangel. I see Silots
- 40:15Speaker 3: staying down with the ice, you know, I see that.
- 40:18Speaker 3: I can see that, you know she British, she colonized her. Yeah,
- 40:22Speaker 3: I can see that.
- 40:23Speaker 5: I feel like you're asking how X Factor is going
- 40:26Speaker 5: to moonwalk it back? And I'm like, why would.
- 40:28Speaker 7: They need to?
- 40:30Speaker 6: They can write the narrative whatever way they want to
- 40:32Speaker 6: write it, Like what is.
- 40:33Speaker 5: The public going to find out? What are they going
- 40:35Speaker 5: to do about it? Like what's going to be the problem?
- 40:37Speaker 3: Yeah, But then before that, that's the question, Like going
- 40:40Speaker 3: into this next episode, I do want to ask what
- 40:44Speaker 3: and you know, as we move into the season three,
- 40:47Speaker 3: because we were talking about this last week, what like
- 40:51Speaker 3: and portion? Now you might have a better idea. What
- 40:53Speaker 3: do you think we're getting in this final episode.
- 40:56Speaker 5: I've been focusing a lot on general like motifs and
- 41:01Speaker 5: like them playing out what seems like, I don't know,
- 41:04Speaker 5: different thing any different things that we're getting in storytelling
- 41:09Speaker 5: devices that they're kind of putting in. So when they
- 41:12Speaker 5: first when X first shows up and they have apocalypses
- 41:18Speaker 5: like corpse in tow and that chamber. The first thing
- 41:21Speaker 5: that came to my mind was like, this is got
- 41:22Speaker 5: about to be a trojan Horse situation, Like they think
- 41:26Speaker 5: that nothing's going on, Like this body isn't showing any
- 41:28Speaker 5: signed so it's okay to like bring it in, But
- 41:30Speaker 5: then it's also it's actually going to lead to like
- 41:32Speaker 5: a trojan horse situation. And then for us to end
- 41:36Speaker 5: with like X Force united with X Factor and them
- 41:42Speaker 5: haven't had a recent difector from that team. It's like
- 41:45Speaker 5: it just seems like they're setting up seats for there
- 41:48Speaker 5: always being some sort of like there's more going on
- 41:52Speaker 5: than even the people who think they have plants in
- 41:54Speaker 5: places are able to be on top of and what
- 41:58Speaker 5: is that going to be so for next?
- 42:00Speaker 6: So for me, I think one Rogue getting a hand on.
- 42:05Speaker 5: Immortality is interesting and I think that that is something
- 42:13Speaker 5: that no one's really going to be prepared for. Rogue
- 42:16Speaker 5: wasn't even prepared for immortality, and so I have a
- 42:19Speaker 5: lot of questions around one Apocalypse and his relationship to Rogue,
- 42:24Speaker 5: why he decided that Remy was the one to go for.
- 42:26Speaker 6: I think.
- 42:29Speaker 5: It was interesting because whenever I read that the tarot
- 42:31Speaker 5: reading lovers were part of that, we're part of that reading,
- 42:35Speaker 5: and that same set of cards might have also applied
- 42:39Speaker 5: to Apocalypse and external external So are we seeing him
- 42:45Speaker 5: play out his love story through Rogue and Remy? Is
- 42:50Speaker 5: he trying to have his own relationship with Rogue? What
- 42:53Speaker 5: about Rogue?
- 42:54Speaker 6: Then?
- 42:54Speaker 5: Why does he want that? Was it just was he
- 42:56Speaker 5: taking the eternity like Relic in spite of you know,
- 43:02Speaker 5: his former love or was there like what is the
- 43:04Speaker 5: reason why Rogue was like his target for all of this?
- 43:07Speaker 5: I want to see what that. There has to be
- 43:09Speaker 5: a reason that doesn't just happens happenstance, So what is that?
- 43:12Speaker 5: And I feel like next episode is the best time
- 43:16Speaker 5: to show like what Apox has under up his sleeve basically,
- 43:19Speaker 5: So that's interesting.
- 43:20Speaker 3: So we're I mean, this is the show should turn
- 43:22Speaker 3: from h N ninety seven to everybody Loves Rogue because
- 43:25Speaker 3: you know how Magneto you have Gambit and how he's
- 43:29Speaker 3: saying apocalypse as well, because you know.
- 43:33Speaker 5: Because why else would he go for Remy? And why
- 43:35Speaker 5: was first playing as Remy to get Rogue and turn
- 43:38Speaker 5: the immortality Relic?
- 43:40Speaker 3: And it's brought up by Nightcrawler. Now who was it
- 43:43Speaker 3: brought up by? When they say that, you know he's
- 43:46Speaker 3: motivated by his lost love, like that is what it's
- 43:50Speaker 3: all about.
- 43:50Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I don't know if either real had ever checked out
- 43:55Speaker 1: the uh the storyline they were adapting when they did
- 43:58Speaker 1: Rise of Apocalypse. But but yeah, there is something to
- 44:01Speaker 1: that because that was something that Apocalypse had to experience,
- 44:05Speaker 1: was lost love, and they kind of like dance around
- 44:08Speaker 1: it and hint at it in U in this show.
- 44:13Speaker 1: So I mean, yeah, like I would I always want
- 44:16Speaker 1: to see I would always like to see you know
- 44:18Speaker 1: a little bit more, and I feel like you have
- 44:19Speaker 1: some the next episode Survival of the Fittest, you know,
- 44:21Speaker 1: I hope maybe we get a little bit more of
- 44:24Speaker 1: an answer to that. I would like to see that.
- 44:28Speaker 1: There's a lot of good stories to pull from.
- 44:30Speaker 3: But yeah, that's what I'm like hopeful for because I
- 44:34Speaker 3: like not knowing where it's going. I hope that if
- 44:38Speaker 3: if they do do Age of Apocalypse, they do it,
- 44:40Speaker 3: you know, some completely different way that I'm expecting. But
- 44:44Speaker 3: did you have anything more on this cause I know
- 44:46Speaker 3: you have some.
- 44:49Speaker 5: I have put I have a like a I guess
- 44:52Speaker 5: like theory, and that is that basically every and that's
- 44:57Speaker 5: every show, every piece of media is asking a big
- 45:01Speaker 5: question and is giving us like their different ways of
- 45:05Speaker 5: answering the question over different seasons or different films or whatever.
- 45:11Speaker 5: To me, it kind of feels like the X Men
- 45:12Speaker 5: universe is kind of circuling around the idea of godship,
- 45:18Speaker 5: godhood basically like where what makes a god?
- 45:23Speaker 3: To an extent?
- 45:25Speaker 5: And I think this episode pointed out to me clearly
- 45:28Speaker 5: because like you know, the mutants all are quote unquote
- 45:31Speaker 5: god like in their power sets some in various ways.
- 45:35Speaker 6: They're not like humans. They are of some other force.
- 45:40Speaker 3: So when.
- 45:43Speaker 5: Apocalypse Slash, Remy made it a point to make sure
- 45:46Speaker 5: because like, is that the horseman that he is, is
- 45:49Speaker 5: he's representing death? That's that his okay? So basically like
- 45:53Speaker 5: he's he feels like he has immortality, he's achieved that,
- 45:56Speaker 5: and he's looking at the same for rogue is he seeks?
- 46:00Speaker 5: And then the last person who held the relic that
- 46:03Speaker 5: rocasts was worshiped as a goddess in New Orleans. I
- 46:06Speaker 5: just want to also want to give a sign up
- 46:07Speaker 5: to the representation of like a black woman being worshiped in
- 46:11Speaker 5: New Orleans of all places, like perfect and the Tarot cards,
- 46:16Speaker 5: like being tyed, Like I just loved the whole thing
- 46:18Speaker 5: that everything going on there, but with rogue and targeting
- 46:23Speaker 5: immortality and keeping immortality. Is this a discussion about what
- 46:27Speaker 5: actually makes a god?
- 46:29Speaker 6: Is the ability to be immortal?
- 46:32Speaker 5: And like if the mutants are going to keep going
- 46:36Speaker 5: on this path because I feel like part of Magneto's
- 46:39Speaker 5: initial statements up against humans was kind of like they're
- 46:43Speaker 5: not like we are gods to them.
- 46:46Speaker 6: They are peans. They cannot do that.
- 46:48Speaker 5: And I feel like we're going to continue you together.
- 46:50Speaker 5: Even if Magneto is not in the room. The the
- 46:53Speaker 5: theory still circulates. We're still going to get like are
- 46:56Speaker 5: these beings gods? Do are should we look at them
- 46:59Speaker 5: as gods? What is is this actually a battle of
- 47:02Speaker 5: like a pantheon basically if you looked at like Athena
- 47:05Speaker 5: and them, but they were put into like Newtont's and
- 47:07Speaker 5: modern day?
- 47:08Speaker 6: Is that what we're seeing right now?
- 47:09Speaker 5: So I guess my question to y'all is like two
- 47:12Speaker 5: pronged do you think that is the big question or
- 47:16Speaker 5: if there is a different question, what's the big question
- 47:18Speaker 5: that you think X Men ninety seven is kind of
- 47:20Speaker 5: like answering throughout those works and maybe that gives us
- 47:24Speaker 5: a pathway to understand like the pattern of what might
- 47:27Speaker 5: be next for the show, and how key is the
- 47:33Speaker 5: is more immortality to becoming a god? Like is that
- 47:35Speaker 5: the only way that you can really be a god.
- 47:39Speaker 3: I think both of those questions are answered by the
- 47:43Speaker 3: Cocoa era that we were distressing earlier and that they
- 47:47Speaker 3: actually have reference. I brought this up before that Iboy
- 47:51Speaker 3: had for Coroa letters on his weather when he's first
- 47:54Speaker 3: introduced Eyeboys to the character has eyes.
- 47:57Speaker 7: All over himself.
- 47:57Speaker 3: So but in the Crocola era, that's one of the
- 48:01Speaker 3: first things in it is Magneto made a statement to
- 48:03Speaker 3: the world that where he says you have new gods now,
- 48:07Speaker 3: and he's referring to the mutants, and that is because
- 48:09Speaker 3: they had achieved the ability of a mortality for all mutants.
- 48:13Speaker 3: In Cocrola Life, Yeah, they do this thing called a
- 48:16Speaker 3: mutant's circuit where different mutants and we see it even
- 48:20Speaker 3: in x N ninety seven, like when Gene and Cyclops
- 48:24Speaker 3: combine their powers to fight danger. It's that's a circuit
- 48:27Speaker 3: and we see it a lot. It's a lot of
- 48:29Speaker 3: things where you see it.
- 48:30Speaker 7: Like even the Fastball Special YEP.
- 48:32Speaker 3: And we see Storm and gene. In this episode, Jane
- 48:36Speaker 3: wrapped up a bunch of gats and then Storm came
- 48:38Speaker 3: in with the waves. So it's like that, but in Circola,
- 48:41Speaker 3: it's these five mutants who have various powers that through
- 48:45Speaker 3: comic book magic, can clone.
- 48:47Speaker 7: People and they bring them back to life.
- 48:50Speaker 3: Bring them back to life, and so that because that
- 48:54Speaker 3: starts the Cocoa erative, the mutants have discovered them mortality
- 48:57Speaker 3: for themselves and so that that's right. They're like, well,
- 49:00Speaker 3: fuck it, we moved to this island, we're immortals. We
- 49:03Speaker 3: got everything popping. What humanity? And so yeah, that answer
- 49:08Speaker 3: to answer your question, Yes, they are exploring that in
- 49:11Speaker 3: different ways. And I think that is one of the
- 49:13Speaker 3: things because Apocalypse has always been about that, and that
- 49:17Speaker 3: was that's like when you talk about things I wish
- 49:19Speaker 3: we see is Apocalypse in his Curcoa era because in
- 49:23Speaker 3: that era he was also he said, all the stuff
- 49:26Speaker 3: you saw me do before, when I was always fucking
- 49:28Speaker 3: y'all up, was because I was preparing for something like
- 49:32Speaker 3: you needed to be stronger so you could survive what
- 49:36Speaker 3: is coming. And we've talked about this how that it's
- 49:38Speaker 3: been always have bigger threats, how the bigger threat that
- 49:42Speaker 3: I think is always being discussed on this show is
- 49:45Speaker 3: AI and the fact that it's like mutants no matter what,
- 49:49Speaker 3: you know, mortality they achieve, machine will achieve and already
- 49:53Speaker 3: does achieve a mortality just by itself, and that eventually
- 49:57Speaker 3: you're gonna have to deal with that, you know, humans
- 50:00Speaker 3: and whoever eventually have to deal with the machine. And
- 50:03Speaker 3: so I think that is something because that's something that
- 50:05Speaker 3: Edsman repeatedly talks about, and so I think that's something
- 50:09Speaker 3: that they'll deal with on this show as well.
- 50:12Speaker 7: Hm, I mean I I I agree in a lot
- 50:16Speaker 7: of ways.
- 50:17Speaker 1: I do think that godhood uh and more specifically playing
- 50:21Speaker 1: God as Apocalypse often does, uh you know which Apocalypse
- 50:26Speaker 1: is always done. I mean the you know, creating a horseman, uh,
- 50:30Speaker 1: you're resurrecting you know, Gambit and uh, you know, kind
- 50:33Speaker 1: of transmogrifying him into like a new form. Even Exodus,
- 50:37Speaker 1: which is never addressed on the show specifically, even Exodus
- 50:41Speaker 1: was subject to Apocalypse's transformations, which is why he's the
- 50:47Speaker 1: way he is like now.
- 50:50Speaker 7: So yeah, I definitely think there's a theme there.
- 50:52Speaker 1: I definitely think that, uh, it's it's been kind of
- 50:55Speaker 1: played at and I feel like, you know, when we
- 50:58Speaker 1: were talking about Charles earlier, I feel like that's all.
- 51:00Speaker 1: I feel like Charles could potentially play in that as well.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Like you talk about you know what it is he's
- 51:05Speaker 1: holding back? Uh, and maybe what is the cost of
- 51:09Speaker 1: him unleashing whatever is he claims he's holding back. And
- 51:12Speaker 1: once again, yeah, we don't know what that is. We
- 51:16Speaker 1: don't even know if he knows what that is.
- 51:18Speaker 6: Was he just bullshitting?
- 51:19Speaker 7: Yeah right, he's maybe get the cat.
- 51:22Speaker 5: Talking from like a billionaire or whatever.
- 51:27Speaker 6: He's like about the couplayers.
- 51:28Speaker 3: I've seen a man you know, he once told somebody
- 51:36Speaker 3: I'm gonna go in the trunk and they're like.
- 51:38Speaker 7: Word, yeah, he didn't.
- 51:44Speaker 1: He didn't even have a tire iron back then, he
- 51:46Speaker 1: didn't even tire.
- 51:52Speaker 7: I like, like I said, I think there's a I
- 51:54Speaker 7: think there's a lot there. I do.
- 51:56Speaker 1: I question, you know, with Rogue, how long or how
- 52:01Speaker 1: much immortality plays a role into it. But I do
- 52:04Speaker 1: think that immortality does kind of become part and parcel of.
- 52:10Speaker 7: You know, being a.
- 52:11Speaker 1: God, Like whether you not say you need it to
- 52:13Speaker 1: be a god, but like the idea that yeah, once
- 52:17Speaker 1: you kind of achieve that yeah, what are you if not?
- 52:22Speaker 7: What are you if not a god? If you know, you're.
- 52:25Speaker 1: Already technically a god just in the sense that you know,
- 52:30Speaker 1: you have power beyond belief, but now you're effectively immortal.
- 52:35Speaker 7: I mean then yeah, that.
- 52:36Speaker 1: Like like and even and you know, and if it's
- 52:39Speaker 1: to that extent, I mean, shit, we consider uh, Storm,
- 52:44Speaker 1: you a goddess and she is not im you know,
- 52:50Speaker 1: so far she is you know, she she has a
- 52:53Speaker 1: very Storm has a knack for not dying, which yeah,
- 52:59Speaker 1: I guess you could say effective immortality at that point
- 53:02Speaker 1: because you know, everybody's tried to run her fade and
- 53:08Speaker 1: I mean she come out the other side squeaky clean
- 53:10Speaker 1: every time.
- 53:11Speaker 7: Uh she she will.
- 53:13Speaker 1: She will lay you down one, two, three in the
- 53:15Speaker 1: middle of the ring clean, no outside interference. So I
- 53:19Speaker 1: mean that just right there a loan is uh if
- 53:22Speaker 1: we look at her as that, then now yeah, what
- 53:26Speaker 1: is she if I if not a if not a god?
- 53:29Speaker 1: So yeah, I do I And you know an apocalypse.
- 53:32Speaker 1: You know, he literally he came from you know, poverty,
- 53:36Speaker 1: left out in the desert, and now look at him.
- 53:38Speaker 1: He's been elevated to you through celestial technology to what
- 53:45Speaker 1: is he and he exists, he persists throughout time. We
- 53:49Speaker 1: already know that he survives all the way into uh,
- 53:53Speaker 1: you know, three thousand and sixty ninety something like that,
- 53:57Speaker 1: so it's kind.
- 53:58Speaker 7: Of like, I mean, I don't know, man, he's he's
- 54:03Speaker 7: out here.
- 54:03Speaker 1: So yeah, I know, I definitely, I definitely, uh yeah,
- 54:07Speaker 1: I fuck with that theory.
- 54:08Speaker 7: I fuck with that theory a lot.
- 54:10Speaker 3: All right, anything else before we wrap up.
- 54:13Speaker 5: Today, I'm sorry, I want to say that one. I
- 54:19Speaker 5: thought that Morphs saying that the kids were horrified, so
- 54:21Speaker 5: I turned down The Exorcist was hilarious, and I love
- 54:24Speaker 5: the discontinuation of like them having like horror themes throughout
- 54:27Speaker 5: this season.
- 54:28Speaker 6: Like that was just really fun to me.
- 54:31Speaker 5: And another like reference that I picked up on was
- 54:34Speaker 5: when Remy had night Crawler invite Rogue to come have
- 54:39Speaker 5: dinner with him. It gave Beating the Beast vibes, and like,
- 54:42Speaker 5: think about death as like the beast and Rogue as
- 54:45Speaker 5: the beauty in that moment, and they were in like
- 54:47Speaker 5: a fireside study because I'm beating the Beast to tell, like,
- 54:50Speaker 5: and this is Disney's version and like the original fairy tale,
- 54:55Speaker 5: and I'm a fairytale nerds, so sorry. But in the
- 54:57Speaker 5: original fairy tale, he he continues to have people run
- 55:02Speaker 5: into well, their objects run interference between him and Bell.
- 55:06Speaker 6: Or you know, beauty and uh every night asked.
- 55:10Speaker 5: Will you come have dinner with me? Will you come
- 55:12Speaker 5: have dinner with me? And she's ever denies him over
- 55:15Speaker 5: and over again, and then one time she comes through
- 55:17Speaker 5: and has dinner with them. It didn't go throughout that
- 55:19Speaker 5: for him and Rogue, that they just she just went
- 55:21Speaker 5: and saw him. But I thought it was like the lighting,
- 55:24Speaker 5: the coloring of the scene, how it's related to Okay,
- 55:27Speaker 5: it looks very similar to the one from the movie,
- 55:29Speaker 5: the animated movie. I was like, this kid's Beauty and
- 55:31Speaker 5: the Beast a lot, like it's not just a little.
- 55:35Speaker 1: And you know what, I'm going to co sign that
- 55:38Speaker 1: because they did it last season two? Mmmm say you
- 55:41Speaker 1: saying it made me remember? But there was a Beauty
- 55:45Speaker 1: and the Beast homage. I forget exactly where it was
- 55:49Speaker 1: in the season, but they had one in the.
- 55:53Speaker 3: First dances with Rogue.
- 55:55Speaker 1: It not not that particularly, it was something else that
- 55:58Speaker 1: they did, like it was it was before that, but
- 56:01Speaker 1: I remember it being a thing and you bringing up
- 56:04Speaker 1: the you that that sensibility in this episode. Yeah, you
- 56:10Speaker 1: know what, it's official. The X Men ninety seven's team.
- 56:17Speaker 1: They foxed with Beating the Beast. Yeah, they foxed with
- 56:21Speaker 1: with they foxed with Beauty and the Bees Heavy, because yeah,
- 56:25Speaker 1: this isn't the first time they've done something quite like that,
- 56:28Speaker 1: And I didn't catch it this time with this one,
- 56:30Speaker 1: Like but when you kind of lay it out like that,
- 56:32Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, yeah, of course it's right there, Like
- 56:34Speaker 1: why didn't I see it?
- 56:35Speaker 7: Like, yeah, but yeah, I love that. I I rock
- 56:39Speaker 7: with it.
- 56:40Speaker 3: I definitely a couple other things I wanted to mention
- 56:43Speaker 3: really quickly was I really liked the conversation when Scott
- 56:46Speaker 3: and Jean have the cable when stops. I'm tired of
- 56:49Speaker 3: hearing about you know, ifs and wins and all that,
- 56:52Speaker 3: and you're here right now, so let's have it out.
- 56:55Speaker 3: Hopefully we get something like that with Alex, you know,
- 56:57Speaker 3: havoc MIT's episode, because that would help. And one last
- 57:01Speaker 3: little quick reference easter that I caught was when Gambit's
- 57:05Speaker 3: at the end when he's laying in the bed his
- 57:08Speaker 3: monitoriads XM two sixty six, which is the first special
- 57:13Speaker 3: appearance of Gambit in Uncannie Hman from sixty six when
- 57:17Speaker 3: he's on the cover with a young d aged Storm
- 57:22Speaker 3: when Storm was reduced today age you're like a twelve
- 57:25Speaker 3: year old.
- 57:26Speaker 5: Yeah, has Storm always has had the ability to like
- 57:29Speaker 5: speak to nature and make it like that was her
- 57:32Speaker 5: power set.
- 57:32Speaker 6: It's like to be Storm, But I recently learned that
- 57:36Speaker 6: that's her.
- 57:36Speaker 5: She says her speeches, she's actively getting them to come
- 57:40Speaker 5: to her bidding. So it has always been her power
- 57:43Speaker 5: set to like call them, speak to them into her beatings.
- 57:45Speaker 3: She can always feel it, like she's always had a
- 57:49Speaker 3: connection to nature more so than just being like I
- 57:52Speaker 3: control whether it is a part of her you know.
- 57:56Speaker 1: It's also like her bloodline as well, because she's ascended
- 58:00Speaker 1: from like, uh what is effectively the second Sorcerer Supreme. Mm.
- 58:05Speaker 7: So she has like.
- 58:06Speaker 1: Inherent magical abilities. It's just that she's not trained. But
- 58:11Speaker 1: it's one of those things where like she's kind of
- 58:12Speaker 1: like initial d where like she's a prodigy at doing something,
- 58:19Speaker 1: she just doesn't know why. Because even the ruby that
- 58:24Speaker 1: she her trademark ruby, even that is something that is
- 58:28Speaker 1: technically magical or in nature. Yeah, it's just that she
- 58:33Speaker 1: doesn't she doesn't fundamentally understand exactly what it is. Like
- 58:38Speaker 1: she's only recently in the comic start to learn more
- 58:40Speaker 1: about her magical connections and like it and and everything
- 58:45Speaker 1: she does, like you watch how she Yeah, she she
- 58:47Speaker 1: does her soliloquies when she's doing her her you know,
- 58:51Speaker 1: working her powers. It's and what she is doing is
- 58:54Speaker 1: technically a form of like kind of like an alchemy
- 58:57Speaker 1: or a spell, because she doesn't just come r something
- 59:00Speaker 1: out of nothing. It has to come from somewhere, so
- 59:03Speaker 1: like when she summons, like when she summons rain or thunder,
- 59:06Speaker 1: like even like, yeah, that was something that came from
- 59:08Speaker 1: the comics. When she was bringing rain to her village.
- 59:11Speaker 1: She she learned later she was taking rain from somewhere else.
- 59:15Speaker 7: To put it where.
- 59:17Speaker 1: It was so like, yeah, I mean in a lot
- 59:19Speaker 1: of ways, Yeah, it is kind of like it's she's
- 59:23Speaker 1: effectively doing magic.
- 59:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 59:26Speaker 3: And it's also you know, because it's like mute and
- 59:28Speaker 3: and magic are also intertwined all that type of things.
- 59:31Speaker 3: And when she that was like in the comics, especially
- 59:34Speaker 3: when she loses her powers, that was the heartbreaking part
- 59:36Speaker 3: of it, where she is like I can't feel it anymore,
- 59:39Speaker 3: you know, I can't hear the wind sing to me,
- 59:41Speaker 3: I can't hear the ocean's crying. Like it's all these
- 59:45Speaker 3: things that you know, she hears and feels that we,
- 59:49Speaker 3: you know, have no idea about. So yeah, definitely, you
- 59:52Speaker 3: know Storm is that one we all know and love
- 59:54Speaker 3: her for a reason.
- 59:56Speaker 7: All Right, I got one.
- 59:59Speaker 1: I got so Charles when he was fighting, uh, when
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: he was fighting against the Gambit slash Apocalypse. For anyone
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: that's curious if you wonder where that that funky outfit.
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: Came from.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Or why Charles even was wearing it in the first place. Uh,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: that's actually his fit from when he first fought the
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Shadow King. Yep, he is back in the day. And
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: when I saw it, I was like, no, he did
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: not drag out these dusty old clothes. Uh, so to
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: get cleaned up like this clean up.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: That was the worst part in the comics when he
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: wore that serves the Shadow King. This is I'm gonna
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: give my speech. I'm gonna pull on my outfit.
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: I got know.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: You know you didn't come down to know, you didn't
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: come down to l a fitness with like the classic
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Jordan Jersey and the New and the New Air Jordan's
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and got on the court and got wrecked.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Like immediately. But that's how it goes. It's always that
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: dude like come in, you know, wearing Jordan's and shit,
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: think Jordan and then no kid, no, no, not like
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Mike after all.
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: No, it was.
