- 2:33Speaker 3: Lawrence though to talk a little football and other stuff.
- 2:36Speaker 5: How you doing, man, I'm good. It feels like I
- 2:39Speaker 5: was just here. You have an entirely different view of
- 2:43Speaker 5: the building. Yeah, from another seat over I don't sit
- 2:46Speaker 5: over here very often. It's kind of weird.
- 2:48Speaker 3: It is weird. It's like, you know, in my house,
- 2:51Speaker 3: my wife and I sit on the couch. When I
- 2:53Speaker 3: sit on her side of the couch, Yeah, it's like,
- 2:55Speaker 3: this is not right. You know, I need to be
- 2:57Speaker 3: back on my side of the cach.
- 2:58Speaker 5: It's almost like Sheldon Cooper's you're in my spot exactly. Well,
- 3:03Speaker 5: your spot is in a high school football booth, it
- 3:05Speaker 5: was last night. Talked about the game last night, Well.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I tell you what.
- 3:07Speaker 5: That freshman running back for George Washington is as good
- 3:10Speaker 5: as advertised, Young Jacob Black. He he really took over
- 3:15Speaker 5: the game. Cy Persinger was as good as advertised. Both
- 3:17Speaker 5: of them had very good games for the Patriots last night.
- 3:21Speaker 5: They got a They started slow, but picked up the
- 3:26Speaker 5: momentum down the stretch and they kept just feeding Black
- 3:29Speaker 5: and he just kept eating and he ended up with
- 3:32Speaker 5: three touchdowns and he had more than one hundred yards
- 3:35Speaker 5: of rushing. He really really shined in that opening night
- 3:38Speaker 5: for GW. Spring Valley has a reasonably good team, but
- 3:44Speaker 5: they got to learn to reign in the penalties. They
- 3:46Speaker 5: killed themselves with penalties on many of their drives. So
- 3:48Speaker 5: that was pretty much the story of that game last night.
- 3:51Speaker 5: And now you look ahead to tonight's game. Tonight, we've
- 3:54Speaker 5: got PoCA, which has a lot of young guys and
- 3:57Speaker 5: they're on the road at Buffalo, Buffalo with an entirely
- 4:00Speaker 5: new coaching staff and an entirely new coaching philosophy. Andy
- 4:04Speaker 5: Anderson their head coach now, who was an assistant at
- 4:07Speaker 5: George Washington for many years and he's there now, and
- 4:10Speaker 5: he brought along Scott Tinsley, who's a well known name
- 4:13Speaker 5: in football here in the Kanawh Valley and for many
- 4:16Speaker 5: years as coached at various places. In his brand of
- 4:18Speaker 5: offense is one that everybody sort of marvels at, So
- 4:21Speaker 5: it'll be interesting to see how he implements those wrinkles
- 4:25Speaker 5: of his offense into what they do at Buffalo, where,
- 4:29Speaker 5: you know, because it's a small school, you're often limited
- 4:32Speaker 5: in the number of players you have, so it'll be
- 4:34Speaker 5: interesting interesting to see how they have developed that talent
- 4:37Speaker 5: to mesh with Tinsley's system. To you and Aaron Parker
- 4:41Speaker 5: on the call today, we are on the call tonight.
- 4:43Speaker 5: All right, what's your Tennessee volunteers doing. They're in Atlanta
- 4:47Speaker 5: playing Syracuse Battle of the Orange.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 5: I saw a graphic the other day where they somebody
- 4:54Speaker 5: had a computer generated picture of a Tennessee player wearing
- 4:59Speaker 5: all orange, which they do from occasion occasionally, but this
- 5:02Speaker 5: one also had an orange helmet, and somebody had suggested
- 5:05Speaker 5: they need to wear that tomorrow to show them who
- 5:07Speaker 5: the real orange men are. I frankly don't know what
- 5:10Speaker 5: to expect. The quarterback was fired or walked off the job,
- 5:18Speaker 5: or whatever you want to describe it over the off season,
- 5:21Speaker 5: and it became an ugly national situation. They've picked up
- 5:24Speaker 5: this guy who was at Appalachian State and from all accounts,
- 5:28Speaker 5: was very good. But you know, there's a big difference
- 5:31Speaker 5: between the sun Belt and the SEC as you're alma
- 5:34Speaker 5: mater may learn tomorrow.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it is interesting because Dave Wilson's actually in the
- 5:39Speaker 3: building here today. Because Wilson, you know, has been all
- 5:42Speaker 3: over he did high school FOOTBA last time as the
- 5:44Speaker 3: business I'm now he's flying down with the team because
- 5:47Speaker 3: he's part of the broadcast team there for Marshall. So
- 5:49Speaker 3: we got two people in the building wearing Marshall green today, well,
- 5:52Speaker 3: which is more than we normally.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Usually it's just me that's unusual. Yeah, I wore my
- 5:57Speaker 5: Tennessee orange today. I always wear it on the college
- 6:00Speaker 5: color Saturday or by Friday.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I got you, I got you all right real quick
- 6:03Speaker 3: before we let you go. Know, you've got stuff to
- 6:05Speaker 3: do on the Outdoor Show tomorrow. What you got, Oh,
- 6:08Speaker 3: let's see.
- 6:09Speaker 5: I took a fishing trip last Sunday with my daughter
- 6:12Speaker 5: down New River, so I got a couple of segments
- 6:14Speaker 5: with Larry Nybert or the West Virginia Experience, just talking
- 6:18Speaker 5: about it's been a phenomenal fishing year on the New
- 6:21Speaker 5: River for float trips and we caught in excess of
- 6:26Speaker 5: fifty to seventy five fish. None of them were gigantic,
- 6:29Speaker 5: which is kind of how it is this time of year.
- 6:32Speaker 5: But they have been at times catching really big fish
- 6:34Speaker 5: through the summer and that's really unusual. So it's been
- 6:37Speaker 5: a great year for fishing on the New River. We'll
- 6:39Speaker 5: talk about that also Monday of the first hunting seasons
- 6:42Speaker 5: of the fall, as the early Canada goose season opens up,
- 6:45Speaker 5: as well as the dove season, so we'll talk to
- 6:48Speaker 5: Mike Peters about that and next is it next weekend?
- 6:54Speaker 5: I have to two weekends they will begin two weekends
- 6:57Speaker 5: from now they begin the elk tours down at Chief
- 6:59Speaker 5: Logan State Park on the Tomlin Wildlife Management Area. Those
- 7:03Speaker 5: book up fast, so we'll talk tomorrow to Deputy Superintendent
- 7:06Speaker 5: of parks, about getting yourself in on that. Get your
- 7:10Speaker 5: reservations made and go down and spend the weekend in
- 7:12Speaker 5: Logan County and.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Check out the elk. And I'll tell you when they
- 7:15Speaker 3: first started down he got jerichos. While you're there, Yeah,
- 7:18Speaker 3: while you're there, and you had to take in all
- 7:19Speaker 3: of the fine eateries there.
- 7:21Speaker 6: You know.
- 7:21Speaker 3: One of the things about that, and I'll let you
- 7:22Speaker 3: go is when that was first talked about, people in
- 7:27Speaker 3: Logan said, nobody's going to come to see these elk.
- 7:31Speaker 3: I mean, who cared? They were wrong? Yeah, they were wrong,
- 7:34Speaker 3: but most people go from all over.
- 7:36Speaker 5: To his credit, Governor Earl Ray Tomlin realized that and
- 7:39Speaker 5: he was the one that ultimately that were you know,
- 7:44Speaker 5: movers and shakers they said get this. He said get
- 7:46Speaker 5: this done. Yeah, because he looked at what Kentucky had
- 7:49Speaker 5: seen in that and this is not hunting, this is
- 7:51Speaker 5: just looking at Yeah, it's just the eco tourism that
- 7:54Speaker 5: Kentucky got out of it. Now Kentucky went about it
- 7:57Speaker 5: in a far different way. Kentucky was sort of a
- 7:58Speaker 5: pioneer and reintroduced the elk. They introduced ten thousand on
- 8:03Speaker 5: day one, and of course they have a substantial population
- 8:07Speaker 5: now West Virginia. By the time they got around to
- 8:09Speaker 5: doing it and convincing everybody to do it and get
- 8:12Speaker 5: on board with it, things had changed as far as
- 8:15Speaker 5: the ideas of moving elk in any servid because of
- 8:18Speaker 5: the disease concerns. So they wound up introducing instead of
- 8:22Speaker 5: ten thousand, which was their plan too, they introduced like
- 8:26Speaker 5: eighteen because that's all they could get at the time,
- 8:29Speaker 5: but they wanted to get it started. And so it's
- 8:31Speaker 5: been a slow progression for West Virginia's elk herd, but
- 8:35Speaker 5: they're up to a point now where they probably can't
- 8:38Speaker 5: count them. They probably got between one hundred and two
- 8:41Speaker 5: hundred something like that, and they don't necessarily they track
- 8:44Speaker 5: a lot of them, but I don't think they can
- 8:45Speaker 5: track them all now. You know, occasionally they'll have one
- 8:47Speaker 5: wander through that's not tagged. So it's interesting to see
- 8:53Speaker 5: how it grows. It's just a lot slower than what
- 8:55Speaker 5: happened in Kentucky.
- 8:56Speaker 3: All right, have a good broadcast tonight. We'll be listening
- 8:58Speaker 3: to the show tomorrow morning. Thanks on. I appreciate that.
- 9:00Speaker 3: We'll talk to you Chris Lawrence again. It it's nine sixteen.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Let's bring an Angie Gillenwater Now from the Canal Charleston,
- 9:06Speaker 3: New Maine Association with this week's Adopt Me Please Pet
- 9:09Speaker 3: of the Week. Angie, Good morning, Welcome to the show.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Good morning.
- 9:14Speaker 3: How's it going with you? You ready for the long weekend?
- 9:17Speaker 6: I am. I have to work tomorrow, so my weekend
- 9:21Speaker 6: is not quite as well. I gotch, but I am
- 9:23Speaker 6: looking forward to it.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I gotcha. I'll be working Sunday, so I completely understand,
- 9:28Speaker 3: all right. So, as always, our pets picture is posted
- 9:31Speaker 3: Dave Allen Radio on Facebook and at Dave seventy n
- 9:35Speaker 3: X also on the WCCHS Network Facebook page. Big Debra
- 9:39Speaker 3: is our dog this week. Tell us about Big Debra.
- 9:42Speaker 6: So, Big Debra's currently my favorite shelter dog that we
- 9:46Speaker 6: have right now. She's if you look at her picture,
- 9:49Speaker 6: she's all white and then just has like a little
- 9:51Speaker 6: black and tan face mask. She's about sixty ish pounds
- 9:55Speaker 6: hints her name. But she's great with other dogs, loves
- 9:59Speaker 6: to play with other dogs, and has shown to do
- 10:01Speaker 6: well with kids as far as we can tell. And
- 10:06Speaker 6: she is part of the pick your price adoption special
- 10:08Speaker 6: we have going on right now. Which is exactly what
- 10:10Speaker 6: it sounds like. You will tell us what you want
- 10:13Speaker 6: to pay for a dog or.
- 10:14Speaker 3: A puppy, and this is one of the more popular
- 10:18Speaker 3: things that you guys do up there. And how is
- 10:21Speaker 3: that possible in to pick your price? Do you have
- 10:23Speaker 3: sponsors or how does that work? Or are you just
- 10:26Speaker 3: trying to move some animals out?
- 10:28Speaker 6: Yeah, so we are at once again, not to sound
- 10:32Speaker 6: like a broken record, but we're at critical capacity for
- 10:35Speaker 6: dogs and puppies, which is why the cats are setting
- 10:37Speaker 6: this adoption special out. I got you, so that we're
- 10:40Speaker 6: pretty comfortable in facing for cats, but dogs and puppies
- 10:44Speaker 6: we don't really have anywhere to put them anymore. And
- 10:48Speaker 6: yesterday morning somebody had dropped five puppies in her parking lot,
- 10:51Speaker 6: so we were we had to act fast and include
- 10:54Speaker 6: puppies in this special to make room for those new guys.
- 10:58Speaker 6: But you would think, you know, everyone comes up there
- 11:00Speaker 6: and it's like I want to pay fifty cents for
- 11:02Speaker 6: a dog, but we actually average about thirty dollars per
- 11:05Speaker 6: adoption when people want to pick their price, so we're
- 11:08Speaker 6: still generating adoption revenue. We're not just giving dogs away.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I got you.
- 11:15Speaker 6: Yeah, so it actually ends up being a pretty successful
- 11:18Speaker 6: event in one of the more popular ones we do.
- 11:20Speaker 3: You know, Angie, I hate to bring up stories like this,
- 11:23Speaker 3: but sometimes we have to. You may have seen this
- 11:24Speaker 3: in the news, a story from Saint Albans where a
- 11:26Speaker 3: man has been charged with animal cruelty for severely abusing
- 11:30Speaker 3: a kitten. I'll spare you all the details of this
- 11:33Speaker 3: piece of crap human, but you can read about it
- 11:35Speaker 3: on the Saint Albans Police Department's Facebook page. And we
- 11:38Speaker 3: actually had a text to the show somebody wanted to know,
- 11:40Speaker 3: what can you tell us about the kittens.
- 11:43Speaker 6: I can't share too many details, but what I can
- 11:46Speaker 6: say is he is at KHA and he has been stabilized.
- 11:51Speaker 6: That was a situation that brought a lot of our
- 11:54Speaker 6: team to tears. It was very upsetting to see. But
- 11:58Speaker 6: right now, the news humane officer for Saint Albans is
- 12:02Speaker 6: actually an ex KHA employee, so we're very very proud
- 12:06Speaker 6: of her and the work she's doing for Saint Albans already.
- 12:09Speaker 6: But yet the kitten is with us, He stabilized and
- 12:12Speaker 6: is expected to make a full recovery with slight, non
- 12:17Speaker 6: life threatening complications.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's a story. I read it. I think
- 12:21Speaker 3: you shared it on your personal page, I think, and
- 12:23Speaker 3: then I think it's where I saw it first, and
- 12:25Speaker 3: it is on the Saint albans Uh. I think it
- 12:28Speaker 3: was their police department's Facebook page. Just the horrible story.
- 12:31Speaker 3: And again we're going to share. We're going to spare
- 12:33Speaker 3: the people of the details on that, but glad to
- 12:35Speaker 3: know that the kitten is has survived. What do you
- 12:38Speaker 3: need of up there as far as donations go, uh.
- 12:41Speaker 6: So, some big knees right now actually are volunteers where
- 12:45Speaker 6: we have so many dogs that need to go out
- 12:48Speaker 6: or you know, so many dogs in our care that
- 12:50Speaker 6: need that one on one attention. Our animal care team
- 12:53Speaker 6: actually said one of the biggest needs besides the usual
- 12:56Speaker 6: of you know, Purina chowel products and what and sorry
- 13:00Speaker 6: wet dog food. Besides those typical needs, volunteers are a
- 13:05Speaker 6: big one. Just an extra set of hands that help
- 13:07Speaker 6: us clean or give these animals the one on one
- 13:09Speaker 6: attention they deserve.
- 13:10Speaker 3: You guys out anywhere this Labor Day weekend. Know you
- 13:12Speaker 3: said you got to work, you have any public events,
- 13:15Speaker 3: We are.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Not the only one we had this week. You was
- 13:18Speaker 6: actually yesterday at Bridge Valley and it was actually an
- 13:22Speaker 6: incredibly successful event. I went there with seven animals and
- 13:25Speaker 6: five got.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Adopted, so that was That's awesome. Big shout out to
- 13:29Speaker 3: doctor Saxon to post folks up their Bridge Valley. Hey,
- 13:32Speaker 3: on the kitten, somebody texted wanted to know how do
- 13:34Speaker 3: we have any idea how old that kitten was?
- 13:38Speaker 6: So the guest is about six to eight months old.
- 13:42Speaker 6: It's an older kitten, but definitely not an adult cat.
- 13:45Speaker 3: All right, Hey, Angie, I appreciate you taking time out
- 13:48Speaker 3: of your schedule. Sorry you got to work tomorrow, but enjoy
- 13:49Speaker 3: as much of the holiday weekend as you can.
- 13:51Speaker 6: Okay, absolutely, you two.
- 13:53Speaker 3: All right? Angie gillen Water from the Charleston You Main
- 13:56Speaker 3: Association talking about Big Deborah. That is the dog this week.

- 16:32Speaker 3: not upset about it. Parsons wasn't gonna make or break
- 16:34Speaker 3: their super Bowl chances anyway. Remember during the playoff game
- 16:37Speaker 3: versus the Packers a few years ago, the Packers rookie
- 16:40Speaker 3: quarterback walked off over Parsons and he had the one
- 16:43Speaker 3: thousand yard stare of defeats. Then we saw the same
- 16:45Speaker 3: performance during big games the following season, not a loss.
- 16:48Speaker 3: The person they need to get right up next to
- 16:50Speaker 3: Jerry Jones, Well that's not gonna happen. I don't disagree
- 16:53Speaker 3: with the Texter at all, but when Jerry Jones goes away,
- 16:57Speaker 3: then it becomes Stephen Jones and Charlotte Anderson Jones. So
- 17:01Speaker 3: it's gonna stay right where it is. I was not
- 17:04Speaker 3: upset as a cowboy fan about the Michael Parsons trade.
- 17:06Speaker 3: And I've said this before, Daniel, I may bring you
- 17:09Speaker 3: in on this as well. Here's why. And I'm not
- 17:11Speaker 3: going to turn into support show, I promise, but here's why.
- 17:13Speaker 3: I wasn't upset about the Michael Parson trade. He's an
- 17:15Speaker 3: incredible defensive player, one of the two or three best
- 17:17Speaker 3: defensive players in the league. Absolutely, contract disputes happen all
- 17:22Speaker 3: the time. I get that people hold out for more money,
- 17:24Speaker 3: they say crap about the ownership whatever. When he took
- 17:27Speaker 3: a crap on his team, which is what he did
- 17:30Speaker 3: by saying when they thought he was going to go
- 17:32Speaker 3: to Detroit, at one point he made the comment, I
- 17:35Speaker 3: want to go where I'm surrounded by winners. Okay, that's
- 17:39Speaker 3: that's a big blank you to the team. Out you go.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I agree.
- 17:45Speaker 11: Don't divide the locker room, I think is the biggest
- 17:47Speaker 11: thing you're asking for in a situation like that. I'm
- 17:49Speaker 11: a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, born and raised. In the last
- 17:52Speaker 11: couple of years, great defensive players Cam Heyward TJ. Watt
- 17:55Speaker 11: have both been in contract disputes with the franchise. The
- 17:58Speaker 11: reason they get welcomed back is because they don't take
- 18:01Speaker 11: that step. Yeah in the meantime, So not the.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Fault of your teammate. He's not the one with the
- 18:05Speaker 3: check book to get the you know you're you know
- 18:07Speaker 3: you're a defensive player. The poor kicker didn't do anything,
- 18:10Speaker 3: do you He wants you to get paid.
- 18:11Speaker 11: Too right exactly, and he got paid. He's gonna be
- 18:14Speaker 11: the highest paid non quarterback in the history of professional football.
- 18:17Speaker 11: So I don't necessarily understand the need to take that
- 18:22Speaker 11: step and use that as bargaining because I don't think
- 18:23Speaker 11: it helps anybody.
- 18:24Speaker 3: And we got we get two first round draft picks
- 18:26Speaker 3: out of that. So I'm not gonna say it's going
- 18:28Speaker 3: to be the Herschel Walker deal of the nineteen eighties
- 18:31Speaker 3: that led us to a Super Bowl. But I'm just
- 18:32Speaker 3: saying I'm one hundred percent for it. All right, West
- 18:35Speaker 3: Virginia State Football, it's back. We've carried it in the past.
- 18:38Speaker 3: It's back. On one of seven three the beat talk
- 18:39Speaker 3: about we're really excited.
- 18:41Speaker 11: We're going to Carson Newman actually pulling out here in
- 18:44Speaker 11: about three hours. We will. We will load the buses
- 18:47Speaker 11: up in Institute and head for East Tennessee, opening up
- 18:50Speaker 11: the season against a really, really good team in Carson
- 18:53Speaker 11: Newman that made the D two playoffs last year. But
- 18:56Speaker 11: John Pennington's back for year nine as the head coach
- 18:58Speaker 11: at West Virginia State. He's now the winningest coach in
- 19:01Speaker 11: program history. UH, and the Yellow Jackets there's some excitement,
- 19:04Speaker 11: you know, winning record last year six and five, right
- 19:06Speaker 11: around the middle of the Mountain East Conference. Picked there again, Uh,
- 19:10Speaker 11: but an opportunity to take some steps up in the
- 19:12Speaker 11: standings this year wide open conference. To be completely honest,
- 19:16Speaker 11: and there's a lot of talent on this roster, a
- 19:20Speaker 11: lot of Division one transfers that have joined this team
- 19:22Speaker 11: over the last calendar year. And the coaching staff's excited.
- 19:25Speaker 11: I know I'm excited. Me and Tom Bragg are going
- 19:28Speaker 11: to be on the airwaves on one oh seven three
- 19:30Speaker 11: The Beat all season.
- 19:31Speaker 3: And again it's uh, it's great partnership and it's something
- 19:34Speaker 3: that we did in the past and you know it
- 19:36Speaker 3: went way, but but it's back again. And to be
- 19:38Speaker 3: able to have uh, there's such a and I'm actually
- 19:41Speaker 3: compliments of President Cage. I'm drinking from my West Virginia
- 19:45Speaker 3: State University coffee monk here. Appreciate that president on board
- 19:48Speaker 3: with that, President Cage, I need one of those. Yeah,
- 19:50Speaker 3: well all right, President Cage. And and mister Bailey, if
- 19:54Speaker 3: you're listening out there, we need to get Daniel one
- 19:55Speaker 3: of those.
- 19:55Speaker 6: You need.
- 19:56Speaker 3: You need some gear. But there's such a following, such
- 19:58Speaker 3: a loyalty to some I mean not just West Region State.
- 20:02Speaker 3: I mean, you see what you see you see with
- 20:03Speaker 3: the other schools that you've covered in the NC. It's
- 20:06Speaker 3: an exciting brand.
- 20:07Speaker 11: Of football, absolutely, And I think one thing that I've
- 20:11Speaker 11: said to a lot of people the last couple of
- 20:12Speaker 11: years is with Division I football and high level power
- 20:16Speaker 11: conference football, there are people that are more traditional college
- 20:19Speaker 11: sports fans that are getting soured on what it's become
- 20:22Speaker 11: with NIL and pay for play and revenue sharing now
- 20:25Speaker 11: with the House settlement, If you want a more pure
- 20:30Speaker 11: version of what you think college athletics is supposed to be,
- 20:33Speaker 11: that's what your local Division two program is. I'm coming
- 20:37Speaker 11: to Charleston in the last month from Martinsburg, where we
- 20:41Speaker 11: covered Shepherd University really closely and they had a really
- 20:44Speaker 11: loyal following. I'm seeing the same thing here with West
- 20:47Speaker 11: Virginia State, and it's something that i really love to get.
- 20:50Speaker 3: On board with.
- 20:51Speaker 11: Because what I've always talked about is the reason that
- 20:54Speaker 11: I have wanted to work in college sports on the
- 20:55Speaker 11: broadcasting side, is there is just something very special about
- 21:02Speaker 11: the connection between a community and its team, and college
- 21:06Speaker 11: sports is I think where you find that the most
- 21:09Speaker 11: in the United States.
- 21:10Speaker 3: And of course you have so many players on that level,
- 21:13Speaker 3: Daniel that are actually from I mean generally speaking, are
- 21:17Speaker 3: from the state of West Virginia.
- 21:19Speaker 11: You're right, and there's guys all over the state roster
- 21:22Speaker 11: that that would be recognizable names two people coming from
- 21:28Speaker 11: around the area. And that goes across the entire remec's.
- 21:31Speaker 11: It's predominantly schools in the state of West Virginia. And
- 21:34Speaker 11: I was just talking about on the sports this morning
- 21:37Speaker 11: in the morning News. You see actually opened up last
- 21:39Speaker 11: night blew out Livingston and their starting quarterback is Ian
- 21:43Speaker 11: Hamrick from Gilmour County and he threw five touchdowns last night.
- 21:46Speaker 11: Ie and and Fairmont State last night beat Seaton Hill
- 21:50Speaker 11: Leonard Farrow from Oak Hill two hundred and seventy five
- 21:52Speaker 11: rushing yards. I mean, these are local kids getting opportunities
- 21:55Speaker 11: and really blowing them out.
- 21:56Speaker 3: Of the water. I love it. I'm talking to Daniel
- 21:58Speaker 3: Wood's Dave Allen Show and five any live percent imparted
- 22:00Speaker 3: by Generations Physical Therapy nine practices all offered extended hour
- 22:03Speaker 3: So access to physical therapy has never been easier. Three
- 22:06Speaker 3: zero four seven, six zero fifty six sixtyear. Visit generationspt
- 22:10Speaker 3: dot com. Who are some of the names we need
- 22:12Speaker 3: to look at here on the State roster.
- 22:14Speaker 11: I think to start, everybody wants to start at the
- 22:16Speaker 11: quarterback position. And you've got a new quarterback we're expecting
- 22:19Speaker 11: to see tomorrow for State. That's a transfer from Division
- 22:23Speaker 11: one from Charleston Southern, Caleb Jackson, true dual threat guy,
- 22:26Speaker 11: going to fit really well into the offense that John
- 22:29Speaker 11: Pennington and his new offensive coordinator Matt Cavallero, who's a
- 22:31Speaker 11: former WVU quarterback, are going to be implementing this year.
- 22:35Speaker 11: Those are the that's really where you start as a
- 22:37Speaker 11: quarterback position, but running back is going to be very
- 22:40Speaker 11: important on this team. With Justin Posoa, he's back as
- 22:44Speaker 11: an All conference guy. Last year, you lose Joel Felder,
- 22:47Speaker 11: who's one of the best players in program history. He
- 22:49Speaker 11: transferred at the end of last season, but you replace
- 22:51Speaker 11: him with another all conference running back in Justin Posoa.
- 22:54Speaker 11: And then on the defensive side of the ball, one returner,
- 22:57Speaker 11: one transfer Marshaun Mankins at linebacker. Everybody's really excited to
- 23:01Speaker 11: get him back. He was hurt last year after just
- 23:03Speaker 11: a couple of games. And then at free safety, remember
- 23:06Speaker 11: the name Jacob Camacho. That is a guy that's just
- 23:10Speaker 11: a cool name. It's just an awesome name. But Jacob
- 23:13Speaker 11: Camacho is a guy that has been brought up to
- 23:15Speaker 11: me a couple of times as somebody that they really
- 23:18Speaker 11: look at that could be one of the best defensive
- 23:20Speaker 11: backs in the Mountain East Conference. He started his college
- 23:23Speaker 11: career in the junior college ranks in Iowa, was at
- 23:25Speaker 11: Florida International last year as an FBS guy, and now
- 23:30Speaker 11: is at West Virginia State. They're really excited about him.
- 23:33Speaker 3: All right. What time's coverage start tomorrow? Coverge starts eleven
- 23:36Speaker 3: forty five, kickof at noon, all right, And on the
- 23:38Speaker 3: road there in the land of Chris Lawrence down there
- 23:41Speaker 3: in East Tennessee, we're looking forward to it, all right,
- 23:43Speaker 3: give me your early call on the Mountaineers tomor I
- 23:45Speaker 3: mean it should be an easy victory. Well, what do
- 23:48Speaker 3: you expect to see? I know you'll be keeping an
- 23:49Speaker 3: eye on it, even though you're doing a game, You'll
- 23:51Speaker 3: be keep an eye on what's going on with your
- 23:53Speaker 3: beloved West Virginia Mountaineers.
- 23:54Speaker 11: What do you think I'm looking at questions to be
- 23:57Speaker 11: answered more about who spends more time on the field
- 24:00Speaker 11: than anything other than that, because I mean, you're a
- 24:03Speaker 11: near forty point favorite. I mean, there's really no question
- 24:05Speaker 11: unless something goes horribly awry, what the result is going
- 24:08Speaker 11: to be for WVU quarterback obviously is where everybody wants
- 24:12Speaker 11: to look. Because you had five guys on the depth chart,
- 24:14Speaker 11: all listed with oars this week. Tony Creedy said in
- 24:17Speaker 11: the Morning News this morning he's expecting Nico Mark You'll
- 24:20Speaker 11: to be the first guy out there. My question is
- 24:22Speaker 11: how many guys do you see? How many guys play
- 24:24Speaker 11: meaningful snaps? And then I want to see this defense
- 24:28Speaker 11: do something because it was very bad last year in
- 24:31Speaker 11: Neil Brown's last season. You've got a very well respected
- 24:34Speaker 11: defensive coordinator in Zach Ally that does a lot of
- 24:37Speaker 11: things that I think are going to excite Mountaineer fans
- 24:39Speaker 11: of the defensive side of the ball. Problem is, you've
- 24:41Speaker 11: got eleven new starters, and I think that's where you're
- 24:44Speaker 11: gonna probably try to see the most questions answered tomorrow.
- 24:47Speaker 3: You know, you could take the mount and Ear quarterback
- 24:50Speaker 3: room and the Cleveland Brown quarterback room, put them together
- 24:52Speaker 3: and have a team that's fair.
- 24:54Speaker 11: Yeah, that's a great point, and I'll say this, you
- 24:56Speaker 11: got Marshall tomorrow against Georgia too. Rich Rodriguez his he's
- 25:00Speaker 11: not afraid to play all of his quarterbacks. Tony Gibson
- 25:03Speaker 11: said he's not afraid to play all of his quarterbacks.
- 25:06Speaker 11: There's a chance between the two Division one programs in
- 25:09Speaker 11: this state, we could see eight.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Quarterbacks play tomorrow because there's five guys.
- 25:13Speaker 4: In the competition.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Just hoping that for Marshall, I'm just hoping that it's
- 25:16Speaker 3: that it's something that Gibbie wants to do and not
- 25:18Speaker 3: that he has to do because it's like a mass
- 25:20Speaker 3: unit out there. That's a fair please. That's what I'm
- 25:22Speaker 3: hoping for tomorrow. And I mentioned earlier. You know, Dave
- 25:24Speaker 3: Wilson is in the building today. Wilson is going to
- 25:26Speaker 3: be doing talk line from here. He's he's setting down
- 25:29Speaker 3: to the Marshall Georgia game. He'll be on the on
- 25:31Speaker 3: the plane because he does the pregame show down there.
- 25:34Speaker 3: So we've doubled the number of people with Marshall gear
- 25:37Speaker 3: in the building today because I saw Wilson coming in
- 25:39Speaker 3: with his his Marshall polo and his Marshall baseball cap.
- 25:43Speaker 3: So there's two of us in the building today sporting
- 25:45Speaker 3: Marshall's I saw its start.
- 25:47Speaker 11: Have you had any conversations with him about the travel
- 25:49Speaker 11: he does for these Marshall trips because he does Morgantown
- 25:51Speaker 11: High on Fridays.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean, let me tell you something about it.
- 25:53Speaker 3: And I would never compliment Dave Wilson to his face ever, Okay,
- 25:57Speaker 3: but I will say this, Okay, he did. He and
- 26:00Speaker 3: TJ were at the business summit, so they're they're in
- 26:03Speaker 3: Greenborough County. He hauls it back to Morgantown to do
- 26:07Speaker 3: the ball game last night, drives down and spent to
- 26:10Speaker 3: I think he said he spent the night at his
- 26:11Speaker 3: parents house. And then he drives down this morning to
- 26:15Speaker 3: do talk line from here. Then he drives to Tri State,
- 26:18Speaker 3: gets on the plane to fly down to Georgia for
- 26:22Speaker 3: the Marshall In Bulldogs game, and then he'll will arrive
- 26:25Speaker 3: back at Tri State about ten thirty last night, and
- 26:28Speaker 3: then he'll be back at work on Monday. Incredible. Uh.
- 26:30Speaker 3: You know, I never compliment the guy to his face ever,
- 26:33Speaker 3: but I will say this. He's a He's a hell
- 26:35Speaker 3: of a man. He really is.
- 26:37Speaker 11: I did a Morgantown Martinsburg game last year at Morgantown.
- 26:41Speaker 11: I was talking about ah, yeah, I gotta get up
- 26:43Speaker 11: drive or I got to drive back to Martinsburg tonight
- 26:45Speaker 11: do the Shepherd game tomorrow. He looks at me, goes, yeah,
- 26:48Speaker 11: I'm getting out of here, gonna do my hit on
- 26:50Speaker 11: game night, drive to Charleston, getting Mark Martin's car, drive
- 26:53Speaker 11: to North Carolina. Then we're getting up at six tomorrow
- 26:56Speaker 11: and driving the rest of the way in Georgia Southern.
- 26:58Speaker 11: And I felt pretty bad about myself after that.
- 27:00Speaker 3: We had a quick text here it says, never ending drama,
- 27:02Speaker 3: disgusting attitudes, and just the long gone love of the
- 27:06Speaker 3: game by multimillionaire narcissist is exactly why I'll never be
- 27:09Speaker 3: a pro sports fan. College ball is where it's at.
- 27:14Speaker 3: I don't disagree with that statement, however, college is getting
- 27:18Speaker 3: just about that. I mean, you know, which is all
- 27:20Speaker 3: the more reason why you should follow these schools in
- 27:22Speaker 3: West Virginia, Memec.
- 27:23Speaker 11: That's why I encourage you to follow your local Division
- 27:25Speaker 11: two program. And here in the Great Canaw Valley, you've
- 27:29Speaker 11: got West Virginia State, You've got uc You can hear

- 27:37Speaker 3: thank you, and we'll be listening tomorrow again as our

- 31:33Speaker 3: at Gomart, one of the go marts and Saint Albans.
- 31:35Speaker 3: We'll get that story from Jenny coming up a little
- 31:38Speaker 3: bit later on. I'm gonna bring in somebody. I think
- 31:40Speaker 3: the first time you've been on the show, is it not, Sir, DJJ?
- 31:42Speaker 3: How you doing? I'm doing good, Dave?
- 31:44Speaker 6: How a you doing?
- 31:44Speaker 20: This is my first time being on the show.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Okay, all right, Well we'll try to be real gentle
- 31:47Speaker 3: with you. You got Jim Strawn here with you. And Strawn
- 31:50Speaker 3: is not wearing pants, which is okay. He's Jim Strawn.
- 31:53Speaker 3: He can do what he wants.
- 31:54Speaker 17: I will not wear pants until October first, is just
- 31:57Speaker 17: the thing.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Okay, all right, No, just pants October first. Care for him?
- 32:01Speaker 3: I'm with me actually on that mostly. Yeah, but I
- 32:04Speaker 3: got I got legs that need to be covered. I'm
- 32:06Speaker 3: not gonna lie to you. So, I mean they the
- 32:08Speaker 3: more I like colder weather because the more I'm covered,
- 32:12Speaker 3: the more attractive I am. So if you would read
- 32:15Speaker 3: into that one, yeah, I like that more of me
- 32:17Speaker 3: that can't be said to shoot look a little sharper
- 32:20Speaker 3: in the winter. Yeah, there you go, because more of
- 32:22Speaker 3: me's covered. All right, DJJ? What's the Spartan thing? Man?
- 32:26Speaker 3: Tell us about them?
- 32:27Speaker 20: So the Spartan Race World trifecta is going to be
- 32:29Speaker 20: going down in Glenn Jean at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.
- 32:34Speaker 20: We're familiar with that area over in the Fayetteville area
- 32:37Speaker 20: and Charleston. West Virginia has been awarded the opportunity to
- 32:41Speaker 20: host the twenty twenty five West Virginia Spartan Trifecta World
- 32:45Speaker 20: Championship opening ceremony. I know it's a lot to say,
- 32:48Speaker 20: it's a mouthful, but we have the opening ceremony that's
- 32:51Speaker 20: going to be happening at Hadad Riverfront Park. The whole
- 32:54Speaker 20: Spartan team is going to be hanging out with us
- 32:56Speaker 20: on that Thursday, September fourth, and so we're here to
- 32:59Speaker 20: talk about that and invite our community down, our friends
- 33:01Speaker 20: down to come hang out and enjoy all things Spartan Race. Now,
- 33:04Speaker 20: explain Spartan Race, Well, what exactly is it? So there
- 33:08Speaker 20: are multiple layers to the Spartan Race. It was actually
- 33:11Speaker 20: founded in twenty ten in the mountains of Vermont and
- 33:14Speaker 20: it has evolved into many other grueling, challenging but also fun,
- 33:19Speaker 20: encouraging races to challenge athletes of all levels. They even
- 33:23Speaker 20: have a kid's race, they have family races, and then
- 33:25Speaker 20: they have like tough mutter. They have races that are
- 33:28Speaker 20: even way more challenging with rope climbs, swimming and you
- 33:32Speaker 20: have to It's really like a marathon triathlon, but with
- 33:37Speaker 20: a lot more grueling activities to get through the whole
- 33:41Speaker 20: ten k, five k, twenty five k's. It's a very
- 33:44Speaker 20: very challenging endurance race.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Anytime I hear about these types of events like this
- 33:50Speaker 3: and there's so many different things going on, I'm thinking,
- 33:53Speaker 3: I'm doing good to walk down the steps from my
- 33:55Speaker 3: office and not spill my coffee. Okay, how do these guys?
- 33:59Speaker 3: Is just something? Now, have you ever taken a part
- 34:01Speaker 3: in anything like this yourself?
- 34:02Speaker 20: I never have, but I've watched videos of it and
- 34:04Speaker 20: knew what it was even prior and already made the
- 34:06Speaker 20: decision that this is not for me. But the fact
- 34:10Speaker 20: that we're having it here at Summitt Bechtel is a
- 34:12Speaker 20: beautiful thing because it's really designed. The course is designed
- 34:16Speaker 20: to have all these different obstacles for these world class athletes.
- 34:19Speaker 20: People actually train seriously to compete in this, and then
- 34:23Speaker 20: people like me can go out and you can go
- 34:25Speaker 20: out and just sign up and have fun, have a
- 34:27Speaker 20: good time, and you know, essentially play on these obstacles.
- 34:31Speaker 20: So I was watching videos of this and kind of
- 34:33Speaker 20: seeing how it gets started and some of the things
- 34:36Speaker 20: that these athletes do. They even offer training programs on
- 34:40Speaker 20: Spartan dot com. I encourage you to go check that
- 34:42Speaker 20: out some nutrition and program training to help you get
- 34:46Speaker 20: ready for these kind of races as well.
- 34:48Speaker 3: I mean, I would think that I can't even begin
- 34:51Speaker 3: to think what the training would be like for an
- 34:53Speaker 3: event like this and what the nutrition has to go in.
- 34:55Speaker 20: I mean, it's insane, yep, yep. And when you look
- 34:58Speaker 20: at some of these races, they're not like a twenty
- 35:00Speaker 20: a race. They're way longer, they're way more intent. So
- 35:03Speaker 20: these athletes are are really high level.
- 35:06Speaker 3: And it's a big deal for West Virginia to be
- 35:08Speaker 3: able to have this thing, and even bigger deal for
- 35:10Speaker 3: Charleston to be involved in the In the kickoff celebrations
- 35:13Speaker 3: for it, talk about how that all came about for
- 35:16Speaker 3: Charleston just going to that yep.
- 35:18Speaker 20: So Tim Brady and our Charleston Visitors Bureau team has
- 35:22Speaker 20: done a phenomenal job at collaborating with myself and also
- 35:26Speaker 20: our audio and visual production team. We really want this
- 35:30Speaker 20: to look and feel almost like an Olympic opening ceremony.
- 35:34Speaker 20: You know, you see on TV all the excitement, all
- 35:37Speaker 20: the music, all the MC's, all of the engagement with
- 35:40Speaker 20: the crowd, because this is a huge celebration. So as
- 35:43Speaker 20: we're looking at where do these races take place, there's
- 35:47Speaker 20: for Wayne, Indiana, There's Austin, Texas, There's places all over
- 35:50Speaker 20: the world. Again, and so this trifecta championship, this opening ceremony.
- 35:55Speaker 20: Being able to host this in this city of Charleston,
- 35:57Speaker 20: West Virginia, it's just such an honor and such an
- 36:00Speaker 20: experience that we're designing with the team at the CVB,
- 36:03Speaker 20: working with West Virginia Tourism as well, and just really
- 36:06Speaker 20: spreading this word beyond the limits of the Charleston region.
- 36:10Speaker 3: And I love the fact again because I'm a money guy,
- 36:13Speaker 3: and I love the fact that it's and Brady and
- 36:16Speaker 3: I talk about it all the time. It's heads and beds,
- 36:18Speaker 3: and it's bringing to people that cover this. It's not
- 36:21Speaker 3: just about the athletes themselves coming in, but the people.
- 36:23Speaker 3: As you said, you talked about going on to watching
- 36:25Speaker 3: the videos, Well, somebody has to make those videos. So
- 36:28Speaker 3: people they're going to come with a whole lot of
- 36:29Speaker 3: people with them. Absolutely.
- 36:31Speaker 20: I was looking at some of the opening ceremony numbers
- 36:34Speaker 20: as we were getting ready for next Thursday, and I've
- 36:37Speaker 20: got over twenty five countries being represented right now that
- 36:40Speaker 20: we're going to have at the opening ceremony, which includes
- 36:43Speaker 20: the athletes, which includes who else, their families, family, some
- 36:46Speaker 20: of their friends and supporters, journalists and journalists, heads and
- 36:49Speaker 20: beds heads and beds man, and people going to restaurants
- 36:53Speaker 20: and so on and so forth.
- 36:54Speaker 3: It's really really a great thing for West Virginia to
- 36:56Speaker 3: be able to have this, And hats off to for
- 36:59Speaker 3: you guys, for you and Brady, you know, for getting
- 37:01Speaker 3: this this thing to Charleston the Mayor's office of course,
- 37:03Speaker 3: and also with Chelsea Ruby and folks and tourism as well,
- 37:07Speaker 3: because this is a major deal for West Virginia to
- 37:09Speaker 3: have this.
- 37:10Speaker 20: It is it is when you look at the other
- 37:11Speaker 20: cities that are having this as well, and you look
- 37:13Speaker 20: at what we're doing with the bike race and these
- 37:15Speaker 20: other national and international activities. We're having this ray here
- 37:19Speaker 20: in our backyard. And speaking of international, there is also
- 37:23Speaker 20: other layers of entertainment that's happening at the opening ceremony,
- 37:26Speaker 20: so it's not just myself playing music. Which, by the way,
- 37:29Speaker 20: this starts at five pm and it's gonna go until
- 37:31Speaker 20: ten pm. But we know that most of the party
- 37:33Speaker 20: is gonna get gone. We're gonna have the official Spartan
- 37:36Speaker 20: team doing their m seeing hosting introductions. However, speaking of international,
- 37:41Speaker 20: we have a DJ. He goes by the name of DJ.
- 37:44Speaker 20: He goes by the name of Trays. He's more than
- 37:46Speaker 20: a DJ, he's a producer. He's a music songwriter. He's highly,
- 37:51Speaker 20: highly talented, one of the top DJs in the world.
- 37:53Speaker 20: We're bringing him here to Charleston for a very special
- 37:57Speaker 20: performance after the opening Sarah mony kicks off. Then we
- 38:01Speaker 20: just really started the party. So this DJ, this producer again,
- 38:04Speaker 20: he's by way of New Mexico tours all over the world,
- 38:08Speaker 20: has way more experience in festivals, concerts and these scale
- 38:12Speaker 20: of events, and we thought, hey, the only way to
- 38:15Speaker 20: do this right and make the entertainment as high level
- 38:17Speaker 20: as we want to present is to bring in a
- 38:19Speaker 20: DJ of this caliber and have this global sound fused
- 38:24Speaker 20: with the Appalachian experience.
- 38:25Speaker 3: But I mean, and having you there too, I mean,
- 38:28Speaker 3: you're you're you're not exactly, you know, small potatoes either.
- 38:31Speaker 3: I mean you're kind of you're a big deal, you know,
- 38:33Speaker 3: around around here at another area too, So it's great
- 38:35Speaker 3: to have you involved with it as well. Thanks Today.

- 39:53Speaker 3: I'm ready for this, Dave, aren't you? Oh this should
- 39:55Speaker 3: be a good time.
- 39:55Speaker 17: I mean, it's gonna be almost If you like the
- 39:57Speaker 17: cycling thing down there on the levee, you'll it's very similar.
- 40:00Speaker 3: You don't like this too? I love the international flavor.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean you have a whole lot of
- 40:03Speaker 3: people and again they're gonna be spending money. That's what
- 40:05Speaker 3: we like.
- 40:06Speaker 20: We love that.
- 40:06Speaker 3: All right, let's speak. Let's talk about an annual event
- 40:10Speaker 3: that's taking a bit of a turn this year because
- 40:13Speaker 3: of the loss of one of the key components to
- 40:16Speaker 3: that talking about Doug scaff and it's Mountaineers Night Out.
- 40:19Speaker 3: It's still going on a little bit different talk about them.
- 40:22Speaker 17: It is a little bit different if remember the Guys'
- 40:25Speaker 17: Night Out and we're not having guys n out this year.
- 40:29Speaker 17: The YW it did not have the Girls' Night Out either.
- 40:33Speaker 17: So we're gonna do Mountaineers Night Out. We're inviting all gals,
- 40:36Speaker 17: all guys to this Mountaineer watching football party, tailgate party
- 40:41Speaker 17: as a fundraiser, and we're raising money for the Western
- 40:44Speaker 17: Yia Kids Cancer Crusaders along with the Bob Burdett Center,
- 40:48Speaker 17: Duck scaff Junior and I, along with the Animal Steve Z.
- 40:52Speaker 17: We got together probably in March at the Capital Market
- 40:55Speaker 17: and started talking about doing this. After Doug's death, we thought, well,
- 41:00Speaker 17: what better way to continue to honor him than just
- 41:03Speaker 17: to keep things, to keep things rolling. And one of
- 41:06Speaker 17: his favorite charities was this question you had kids Cancer Crusaders.
- 41:09Speaker 17: So we're having Mountaineers Night Out. It is September the twentieth,

- 42:45Speaker 17: named in his honor, and there's a West Virginia alumni
- 42:48Speaker 17: chapter down here, so we're going to funnel it through

- 42:56Speaker 17: always a lot of fun. This year it's going to

- 46:32Speaker 3: sometimes come together. Two cities again TV Now for the
- 46:35Speaker 3: annual Labor Day fireworks show Sunday night. I think the
- 46:37Speaker 3: lunch the fireworks from Roadside Park at nine to thirty
- 46:41Speaker 3: Sunday night. The best view will be on the Dick
- 46:43Speaker 3: Henderson Bridge, which is actually going to be closed between
- 46:46Speaker 3: eight thirty and ten thirty, so please traffic note there,
- 46:49Speaker 3: big time traffic note. Please make note of that that
- 46:52Speaker 3: the bridge will be closed between eight thirty and ten
- 46:54Speaker 3: thirty Sunday night, and to prepare for everything, the lower
- 46:58Speaker 3: portions and the boat Lane lunch area at Roadside Park
- 47:01Speaker 3: will be closed both vehicles and pedestrians on Sunday. Jenny
- 47:06Speaker 3: Murray B. One hundred is Here's so honored to be here.
- 47:09Speaker 3: You've been here before. I know it's always special, but
- 47:11Speaker 3: last time you brought Bishop with you. But you're here solo.
- 47:14Speaker 14: Today, Yeah, he yeah, he's off doing something.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Doing Steve things, going to Steve. What are you doing
- 47:20Speaker 3: tomorrow in Saint Albans.
- 47:21Speaker 14: Well, everyone I think is aware of the powerball jackpot.
- 47:25Speaker 14: It was nine hundred and fifty million dollars this morning
- 47:27Speaker 14: on the Big I sixty four billboard. But it's probably
- 47:31Speaker 14: I'm guessing going to hit a billion before tomorrow night's
- 47:34Speaker 14: jackpot drawing.
- 47:35Speaker 3: That's billion with a bee, with a bee.
- 47:37Speaker 14: I have tickets to give away tomorrow, Okay, starting at
- 47:40Speaker 14: twelve noon, show up at the gomart in Saint Almans,
- 47:44Speaker 14: the one right there at mccorko Avenue and the entrance
- 47:47Speaker 14: to canaw Terrace, the new one they built a few
- 47:49Speaker 14: years ago. Just look for the V one hundred and
- 47:52Speaker 14: ten or van myself and uh, we're going to pass
- 47:56Speaker 14: them out while they last.
- 47:57Speaker 3: So you just got to hand out. Yeah, just stop buying.
- 48:00Speaker 14: We'll get you one all right while they last again. Okay,
- 48:03Speaker 14: but I you aint doing it for an hour, right, correct,
- 48:05Speaker 14: twelve noon to one o'clock. O.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Right, So don't show up at one on one.
- 48:09Speaker 14: Yeah, don't dilly dally.
- 48:10Speaker 3: I mean a matter of fact, you may not want
- 48:11Speaker 3: to show up at twelve fifty because they may all
- 48:13Speaker 3: be gone by then. So just by not being there
- 48:16Speaker 3: at noon, they could a matter of fact, go get
- 48:17Speaker 3: in line. Now, just the people would love that at Gomar.
- 48:20Speaker 3: It's not like an ACDC concert. I mean, come on now,
- 48:24Speaker 3: all right, So, I mean, you know, people will do
- 48:27Speaker 3: crazy things, you know, if they get this money. Here's
- 48:30Speaker 3: the age old question. Everybody always ask, what would you
- 48:33Speaker 3: do if you wont Jenny.
- 48:34Speaker 14: Martch, I would share all of it, except for a
- 48:36Speaker 14: little bit for myself.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Okay, I did.
- 48:39Speaker 14: I traveled on Wednesday, and I stopped three times, three
- 48:43Speaker 14: different states, and about one ticket in each state.
- 48:45Speaker 3: And I checked the tickets left yesterday. I didn't have
- 48:48Speaker 3: one single number. I had TJ. Meadows and oh my goodness,
- 48:53Speaker 3: look who's here. It's it's Dave Wilson. Hi, Dave, how
- 48:56Speaker 3: are you, buddy?
- 48:57Speaker 5: I'm great.
- 48:58Speaker 3: I gave you some big compliments. Hold on one second.
- 49:01Speaker 3: I gave you some big compliments earlier, and I said
- 49:03Speaker 3: that I not TJ. You were looking at me. I said,
- 49:05Speaker 3: I would never compliment you to your face. Well, I
- 49:06Speaker 3: appreciate it, but so you'll have to go back and
- 49:08Speaker 3: listen to the podcast. If you want to hear what
- 49:10Speaker 3: I said about you, so tell me things about I
- 49:11Speaker 3: was talking about your travel, your travel schedule. Oh okay,
- 49:15Speaker 3: So what would you do if you want nearly a
- 49:16Speaker 3: billion dollars?
- 49:17Speaker 15: Here's the thing you would You will never know because
- 49:19Speaker 15: I will disappear and you will never ever see me again.
- 49:24Speaker 3: Mad Now here's the question.
- 49:25Speaker 14: Is West Virginia state where you have to reveal your
- 49:27Speaker 14: identity if you want to be No, No, you.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Can remain not to be. I think okay, you can
- 49:32Speaker 3: remain Meadows.
- 49:33Speaker 14: I agree with him.
- 49:34Speaker 3: I mean, I know you you're you're you're all about investing.
- 49:38Speaker 3: That's what you're gonna do. A billion dollars. You're going
- 49:40Speaker 3: to be invested a billion dollars in something index funds. Simple, easy,
- 49:46Speaker 3: enjoy my ten to twelve percent of a year. But
- 49:48Speaker 3: all of you would do something fun. I mean, you
- 49:50Speaker 3: know you said that nobody would ever see you again,
- 49:52Speaker 3: So probably plastic surgery is probably.
- 49:54Speaker 6: What you would get.
- 49:55Speaker 15: No, I will buy a big, beautiful farm somewhere, maybe
- 50:00Speaker 15: toward lewis Burg, I like Tucker County.
- 50:02Speaker 3: I will live on a ridge and you will never
- 50:04Speaker 3: see me again. All right, Meadows, what fun thing would
- 50:07Speaker 3: you do?
- 50:07Speaker 21: Oh jeez, my wife and I love to travel, So
- 50:11Speaker 21: I would do like a around the world in a year,
- 50:14Speaker 21: hit every place on our list. And there's like, I
- 50:16Speaker 21: don't know, sixty seventy places on our list.
- 50:18Speaker 3: Okay, what fun thing would you do?
- 50:20Speaker 14: Take all my friends to the summit, just like Taylor Swift.
- 50:27Speaker 3: We you know what, we could do an incredible radio promotion.
- 50:30Speaker 3: We had a billion dollars. We could get Travison and
- 50:34Speaker 3: Taytay to have their wedding here sponsored, you know, by
- 50:38Speaker 3: V one hundred.
- 50:39Speaker 11: I saw their.
- 50:39Speaker 14: Picture there they got engaged in West Virginia near one
- 50:42Speaker 14: of those signs.
- 50:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw, Yeah, I saw. Is it gonna last, Jenny?
- 50:46Speaker 3: I mean, is it true love to.
- 50:47Speaker 12: I think it.
- 50:48Speaker 15: I think it will last all right over under on
- 50:51Speaker 15: that two years. No, you may look back on this
- 50:55Speaker 15: twenty years from now. Maybe the single biggest moment in
- 50:59Speaker 15: a Marria and history creates the Taylor Swift baby boom.
- 51:03Speaker 15: All the Swifties now get married, All the Swifties have
- 51:05Speaker 15: three or four kids because Tata does. Because changes the
- 51:09Speaker 15: course of history, and they say we need babies.
- 51:12Speaker 12: Love.
- 51:13Speaker 3: I mean, this marriage is going to be just like
- 51:15Speaker 3: Lonnie and Bert.
- 51:16Speaker 20: I mean that one was great, Nie did not.
- 51:20Speaker 3: That one didn't end well, and now they're both dead.
- 51:24Speaker 20: But so way to bring us down there.
