- 0:06Speaker 1: This week on the show You've seen them on your TV, but.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Not in shows. We're talking to actors from famous commercials.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Drawing heavily upon the improv comedy scene. Commercial actors are
- 0:18Speaker 3: the people who sell you these products and have a
- 0:21Speaker 3: good time doing it.
- 0:24Speaker 4: So pull up, get ready to fast forward through this one,
- 0:29Speaker 4: and let's listen in.
- 0:33Speaker 5: Wow, I cannot believe I would. I mean, this is
- 0:36Speaker 5: so exciting. I do have to run to a callback
- 0:38Speaker 5: in like thirty forty maybe an hour or so.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Where are you going?
- 0:41Speaker 5: I'm going to un yourself break Oh me.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Too, me too, I'm going there to which one? Are
- 0:44Speaker 2: you going for Huggies or are you.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Going for they Huggies?
- 0:47Speaker 6: Anybody duncan? Anybody duncan.
- 0:49Speaker 7: I'm gonna just text me, actually I want to text.
- 0:52Speaker 6: I didn't book out this hour, so I might.
- 0:55Speaker 5: I'm Carls Juniors but not Hearty's.
- 0:56Speaker 6: Oh my god, I know that.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:59Speaker 7: Lincoln Ford, he's the best with the big glasses. Yes,
- 1:04Speaker 7: and he goes, he goes, please slate so funny.
- 1:08Speaker 6: He says, I love him, they love I really love him.
- 1:11Speaker 4: He came to see my hair all the other day
- 1:13Speaker 4: and I went there, you are.
- 1:16Speaker 2: One of my shows. A yeah, so funny.
- 1:18Speaker 4: You gotta bug him. Now I'm put shows on Party four.
- 1:20Speaker 4: You guys put shows on Party four.
- 1:23Speaker 1: So Party four is this amazing app where you can
- 1:26Speaker 1: use it to advertise your comedy shows.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of people doing events, but I'm asking
- 1:29Speaker 2: people to come to things as a favorite.
- 1:31Speaker 5: For if I have a show Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,
- 1:35Speaker 5: it takes over somebody's entire calendar.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like an all day thing.
- 1:38Speaker 6: It's really They have it SYNCD.
- 1:39Speaker 3: It goes straight to their Apple cow like an event
- 1:41Speaker 3: they have to go to, and it'll keep reminding him
- 1:44Speaker 3: to which I like, Yeah.
- 1:45Speaker 2: They have it responded.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Even if they haven't responded, they haven't even said maybe
- 1:49Speaker 5: or no, they still get these you still.
- 1:51Speaker 6: Get no matter what.
- 1:52Speaker 3: And the connection between the two apps is kind of glitchy,
- 1:55Speaker 3: so it will flash back and forth when you open
- 1:57Speaker 3: up your calendar app and you're trying to see what
- 1:59Speaker 3: time something.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Is, and if you get the sound on your app,
- 2:01Speaker 1: you'll hear a sound that you've never heard.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Come on, That's.
- 2:06Speaker 6: That's true.
- 2:09Speaker 4: But to say like it's so funny that there are
- 2:11Speaker 4: like apps. There are like apps that these people make,
- 2:13Speaker 4: like for Middle America, for like frat Bros. To like
- 2:15Speaker 4: be like we're having but like actors get a hold of.
- 2:17Speaker 6: Something and we just make it a newsletter.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Make it a newsletter.
- 2:21Speaker 7: Sorry, we're gonna come in and reclaim it.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That you're so funny.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I've been advertising my clown show. I've been advertising my
- 2:34Speaker 1: clown show.
- 2:34Speaker 7: On clowning is is like something I see people do
- 2:40Speaker 7: and I don't quite get it.
- 2:41Speaker 2: But I like, I'm doing traditional birthday south are you
- 2:47Speaker 2: making Okay? Yeah, I'm doing No. I know I'm doing
- 2:49Speaker 2: I'm doing.
- 2:50Speaker 1: White makeup, big red nose, clo. Class don't like it.
- 2:53Speaker 1: You're not doing clown I'm doing clown.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Well no, because like my understanding of clown is like
- 2:59Speaker 5: this is my understanding to the envelope on stage.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Well, so that's what I like it the way I
- 3:04Speaker 1: do clown And this isn't the panel about clowning. But
- 3:06Speaker 1: what I want to say is, you know, I'll come
- 3:08Speaker 1: on and I'll do my balloon animal work.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I'll do my right after somebody else came out.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Just as a non and jacked off an audience member
- 3:15Speaker 1: and Okay to me, I think it's a good palace.
- 3:18Speaker 6: You know, is that Jenny? I love Jenny, So I love.
- 3:25Speaker 2: The commercial audition.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Yeah, you know what, you're really pushing the envelope on
- 3:30Speaker 5: stage the Subway commercial.
- 3:33Speaker 2: It's just crazy.
- 3:34Speaker 3: They have one shirt that they never wear that they
- 3:38Speaker 3: only wear two commercial.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Auditions wear all these buttons. This isn't you.
- 3:43Speaker 4: They should really like no, ship can't wait to like
- 3:47Speaker 4: literally talk process like you just have a shirt?
- 3:49Speaker 6: Yes, I'm like, do you guys have a best shirt?
- 3:51Speaker 5: Now we have to guys, we have to we have
- 3:55Speaker 5: to make guys keep it done. There's a callback, so
- 4:00Speaker 5: don't get that. When we go into the waiting rooms
- 4:03Speaker 5: of commercial auditions, a lot of the time we start
- 4:06Speaker 5: gabbing too loud that the casting associate has to go,
- 4:09Speaker 5: please keep it down.
- 4:11Speaker 2: There's an audition. There's a call that going on.
- 4:15Speaker 7: And it's fun like meeting you for the person too,
- 4:17Speaker 7: because I see you there and they're like we're always
- 4:20Speaker 7: like at the same I know your car, I know
- 4:22Speaker 7: your car, and if she's there, like I don't know,
- 4:24Speaker 7: women get it. You're like, you're absolutely doing amazing.
- 4:27Speaker 6: That's you.
- 4:29Speaker 4: The other day, we're posting in Fiji and I went, wow,
- 4:33Speaker 4: she got that credit card commercial because I had Fiji
- 4:35Speaker 4: open because they were like, make Fiji you have to
- 4:37Speaker 4: have passport, right, Yes, And that's always when you can tell.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Can we say it? You guys are the exact same type.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Let's talk about it that loud.
- 4:45Speaker 6: It's for everything.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I don't mind, I don't.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Know.
- 4:56Speaker 4: And honestly, it's so it's good to put a name
- 5:01Speaker 4: to the face.
- 5:02Speaker 7: Yes, because I see it on the I walk in,
- 5:04Speaker 7: I go, oh, man, Betsy Keenan's there.
- 5:07Speaker 6: And I'm not gonna get it, Betsy Clarissa.
- 5:09Speaker 7: Klyi, and I'm like, damn fuck.
- 5:13Speaker 3: It's nice that there's like no animosity though, like it's
- 5:18Speaker 3: so fun.
- 5:19Speaker 6: How like in community we all are and it's like, oh,
- 5:21Speaker 6: if I get it, then I got it.
- 5:23Speaker 2: If you get it.
- 5:24Speaker 4: When I had to tell when I had to tell
- 5:25Speaker 4: Republic of Pie that my where I am a waitress,
- 5:28Speaker 4: that I had to book off because I was being
- 5:30Speaker 4: I was on I was on a veil to go
- 5:32Speaker 4: to Fiji for five days for credit karma. And then
- 5:34Speaker 4: when I had to make my manage your mad right
- 5:37Speaker 4: then then tell him then I got released off of
- 5:40Speaker 4: a veil.
- 5:40Speaker 6: It happens, right, It just happens.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Right. But when that happened, I had to call republica
- 5:46Speaker 4: Pie and see I can actually now work. And now
- 5:48Speaker 4: here I am in the back of republica Pie and
- 5:49Speaker 4: I'm looking at pictures of you.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Just working in this industry. Those sentences it makes us.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Say, yeah, a lot of the sentences we get to say.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I was unavailed for the Lee MoU Emu, but they
- 6:07Speaker 3: wanted Phoenix Local higher, so I drove to Arizona and
- 6:11Speaker 3: then they released me.
- 6:16Speaker 5: Guys, let's go and say before we go, just to
- 6:19Speaker 5: show that you guys are just to show that you
- 6:21Speaker 5: guys have no animosity, would you guys mind sitting next
- 6:23Speaker 5: to you?
- 6:24Speaker 4: I would love I'm in the middle problem, so I
- 6:28Speaker 4: love to sit right here.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Sure, because I think it'd be so fine my YouTube
- 6:32Speaker 3: next to each other and lie on my phone here.
- 6:34Speaker 6: Get your phone there so I can't sit.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I won't.
- 6:37Speaker 4: I wouldn't fit because their phone's in Oh, it wouldn't fit.
- 6:40Speaker 2: It would just be so fun to see a side by. Yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 2: career is it is.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Always always see it because I show you the.
- 6:52Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, Okay, okay, I think we should Yeah,
- 6:56Speaker 5: with our commercial slate, let's do that. Because there's different
- 6:59Speaker 5: slates for when you go in and when you are
- 7:01Speaker 5: self taping. I think we should do our self tape slate.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Oh my god, that's like looking at my underwear drawer.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I know. Okay, I'll go first.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Yeah, Hi, my name is Gregory Foyle, La Based and yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 5: I can do whatever you want. Willing to shave. It's
- 7:22Speaker 5: funny because like I don't have anything to shave. Yeah,
- 7:26Speaker 5: I think like adding a little comedy at the end
- 7:28Speaker 5: of my splate.
- 7:30Speaker 1: And I know a lot of young commercial is gonna
- 7:32Speaker 1: be watching this, always say willing to shave, especially if
- 7:34Speaker 1: you're a woman.
- 7:36Speaker 6: Like that ship hit.
- 7:39Speaker 7: They like it.
- 7:39Speaker 6: They like it, fucking hits.
- 7:43Speaker 7: I was like worried about doing it for a while,
- 7:44Speaker 7: but then I was seeing all the girls, you know,
- 7:46Speaker 7: do it and book it, and I'm gonna add a
- 7:48Speaker 7: little it's at the end of mine too.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, it's so funny. So basically what I do,
- 7:54Speaker 5: I do like a lot of like funny couch potato
- 7:58Speaker 5: rolls like that. I'm kind of the slob. I get slob,
- 8:02Speaker 5: I get couch potato. I get ugly man, I get hideous.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Your game stop spot thank you on my phone for
- 8:09Speaker 4: three years straight.
- 8:10Speaker 6: Yes, you look so ugly it was.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Yeah, they added the worst makeup and I'm already like
- 8:17Speaker 5: a couch potatoes saw ugly guy, like, that's my cat.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I mean it was not who I am, but so
- 8:21Speaker 2: funny to go there.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You was you going into GameStop saying I need to
- 8:25Speaker 1: buy a new remote. I lost mine and they go,
- 8:27Speaker 1: what's that on your back? You look around? You had
- 8:30Speaker 1: to sat on your remote.
- 8:31Speaker 2: And it was.
- 8:36Speaker 6: And they go, willing to eat cheetos?
- 8:38Speaker 5: I think so, yeah, so I'm a vegan, but I
- 8:40Speaker 5: am willing to eat on camera. So yeah, that's my type.
- 8:44Speaker 5: I'm ugly, gross, disgusting, hideous man. And it's just the
- 8:49Speaker 5: types I go in for. Yeah, and there's so many.
- 8:51Speaker 7: Roles you can. Another note for anybody listening, literally, you sit.
- 8:56Speaker 6: Your type down and think of your type as a children.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Child down, talk to it and be like do you
- 9:03Speaker 4: deserve love?
- 9:04Speaker 2: Yes?
- 9:04Speaker 6: Love your type?
- 9:05Speaker 5: Anybody else want to say their name their slate? Come on, guys,
- 9:07Speaker 5: I'm rolling really to see this.
- 9:10Speaker 7: I'm dying, Yeah, yeah, of course, Hi, I'm clear as
- 9:14Speaker 7: the cline. I am five six, I'm LA based rep
- 9:17Speaker 7: by after midnight, and.
- 9:20Speaker 6: I'm so sorry to hear that.
- 9:21Speaker 2: By the way, I got canceled.
- 9:25Speaker 8: Sorry your agency canceled rep by Taylor Tompson and I
- 9:30Speaker 8: am rep by after midnight and willing willing to shave
- 9:33Speaker 8: like this guy if only he's in it too.
- 9:37Speaker 7: And yeah, oh my gosh, I had the funniest study
- 9:42Speaker 7: of weight can we do actually this slate?
- 9:43Speaker 5: How they do in commercial editions. I go, you go,
- 9:46Speaker 5: you go, you go, you go, and then it's cut.
- 9:48Speaker 5: We don't even add anything, so like, well, pan from
- 9:51Speaker 5: one to two to three to four.
- 9:52Speaker 4: To five, and they wait and they don't even tell
- 9:54Speaker 4: you it's your turn. They just move it a little bit.
- 9:55Speaker 2: You just have to look.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Do you always think you're doing something wrong? Okay every time?
- 10:01Speaker 2: Yeah? You always feel like you're messing up?
- 10:03Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, oh my god, You're like, oh.
- 10:06Speaker 3: No, no, no, it's so I'm just like relating to you guys, like,
- 10:09Speaker 3: and you always feel like you're doing something wrong.
- 10:11Speaker 9: Yeah, no, No, you were the nervous one. You're always
- 10:14Speaker 9: so stressed out about say that. Sorry, you could say
- 10:20Speaker 9: that in your slate. Sorry, Okay, ready, Okay. Ready, we're
- 10:22Speaker 9: gonna start at the top. If somebody could say rolling,
- 10:25Speaker 9: I feel.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Like I'll say it the way they say it.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Go.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Hey, what's up?
- 10:32Speaker 5: I'm Gregory Foyle based in Los Angeles.
- 10:36Speaker 7: Hi, Clarissa Klein, I am five six LA based rep
- 10:40Speaker 7: by After Midnight.
- 10:44Speaker 6: Hi.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I'm Emily Big Bog and I am repped by the
- 10:48Speaker 3: Zoo and I am five six.
- 10:53Speaker 6: Hey, guys, what's up? My name is Betsy Lincoln.
- 10:56Speaker 4: I am five five LA based and rep by GP
- 10:59Speaker 4: D D D D n P. I oh willing to shave? Sorry,
- 11:05Speaker 4: here's the profile profile.
- 11:08Speaker 6: I'm willing to shave two.
- 11:09Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll shave that they are, but not my bush.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Hello.
- 11:17Speaker 1: My name is Egan Forsythe I am currently based in Reno, Nevada.
- 11:21Speaker 2: But I'm an l a local hire and I.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Am six foot two repped by A M P M
- 11:29Speaker 1: E m cm TM Talent and I am not willing
- 11:36Speaker 1: to shave.
- 11:38Speaker 6: Okay, and do you mean it when you say it?
- 11:40Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, because I need to have one thing that I love,
- 11:43Speaker 1: and I love my stubble.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Willing to compromise on stubble.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I will always have stubble and for us as as
- 11:50Speaker 1: a commercial actor. I just think it's so hard to
- 11:54Speaker 1: own any part of you sometimes because you're part of
- 11:56Speaker 1: the products. Yeah.
- 11:58Speaker 5: And I like to think of myself as an object,
- 12:01Speaker 5: just like a prop in the commercial.
- 12:03Speaker 2: That's I think of myself as a person.
- 12:06Speaker 4: But can I say something that I think is gonna
- 12:07Speaker 4: the little bubble? What have you ever gotten a callback
- 12:12Speaker 4: for home deepot or lows No because they don't like scruff.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I am just found out this week that I'm going
- 12:22Speaker 1: out for dads.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Now.
- 12:23Speaker 6: Oh no, it's a huge opportunity.
- 12:28Speaker 1: It's a huge Well, let's let's say it. Nobody chooses
- 12:31Speaker 1: to become a commercial dad thrust them.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:35Speaker 7: Well, but in a way the rest of your life
- 12:37Speaker 7: it is.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I will never I will never play slacker college kid again.
- 12:41Speaker 6: But it's a new stage. And to be honest, you
- 12:44Speaker 6: are going to book so much. When I tell you,
- 12:48Speaker 6: it's so much. Most commercials are dads.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I was gonna say, it's a little green of you
- 12:53Speaker 4: to not think this is like grad school of commercials.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Against and women.
- 12:58Speaker 5: I feel like, because men like they really age and
- 13:01Speaker 5: to dad women, once you're twenty three, you're out.
- 13:04Speaker 2: You're out.
- 13:05Speaker 7: Yeah, your mom, and then you're out.
- 13:09Speaker 6: I'm mom, your mom for two years.
- 13:11Speaker 2: In your out, mama, Strike two, women don't get us.
- 13:13Speaker 6: Strike one exactly.
- 13:14Speaker 3: It's it's woman, then mom, then fifty years past, then
- 13:19Speaker 3: you are activia, and.
- 13:21Speaker 7: Then that's it, and that's and that's.
- 13:23Speaker 4: All in that age range is big, right, there's so
- 13:26Speaker 4: much stuff in the ogurt space.
- 13:28Speaker 1: But yes, now, do you guys feel like because I'm
- 13:33Speaker 1: going through this right now, I'm going so now, this
- 13:35Speaker 1: is my type and this is who we are. Do
- 13:39Speaker 1: you guys feel like you have a type on the
- 13:41Speaker 1: inside that is different than the type on the outside.
- 13:44Speaker 1: And follow up, should we all just type each other?
- 13:46Speaker 5: Oh my god, that's such a good idea.
- 13:49Speaker 6: A mean girl, mean girl in school? You're no, that's
- 13:54Speaker 6: your type.
- 13:55Speaker 10: I think it's I think it's a girl a better
- 13:59Speaker 10: car what she's saying.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Because both of you, since you guys look so similar,
- 14:04Speaker 3: I was going to give girl next door or best
- 14:08Speaker 3: friend guys, but you're seeing mean.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I'm like brown hair quirky yes for me, brown hair
- 14:15Speaker 5: quirky yes, yes.
- 14:16Speaker 4: And you have like this brown hair quirky with like
- 14:19Speaker 4: a secret that's so so damaging that I get.
- 14:23Speaker 7: You think that, but I don't. And the thing I
- 14:26Speaker 7: do have, which I think maybe I don't know if
- 14:29Speaker 7: it works for me or against me. I do have
- 14:31Speaker 7: you know, I have curtain banks, so that helps with
- 14:33Speaker 7: the quirk and and I don't think you y.
- 14:38Speaker 2: You don't have.
- 14:40Speaker 5: I feel like curtain bins are quirky. They're so quirky
- 14:44Speaker 5: and fun.
- 14:44Speaker 7: They're insane.
- 14:45Speaker 2: They're so quirky.
- 14:45Speaker 4: I love the saying you actually they're they're insane.
- 14:50Speaker 7: And see they're.
- 14:51Speaker 6: Insane to have something to push to the side.
- 14:54Speaker 7: It's it's everything.
- 14:55Speaker 3: And what do you and when you walk into the
- 14:57Speaker 3: casting office do you pin him that?
- 15:00Speaker 6: Yes, Adam, what do you do?
- 15:02Speaker 5: Because like, I wouldn't think blonde is quirky, but you
- 15:05Speaker 5: are giving blonde, you know what?
- 15:07Speaker 2: So bes Betsy is actually interesting too. She has low iron.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Oh she's an.
- 15:13Speaker 7: I didn't know that she had low IRONK you for noticing.
- 15:18Speaker 6: I didn't know that you should put you should put that.
- 15:21Speaker 4: On your res iron yet because there's a lot of
- 15:24Speaker 4: spots as yeah, yeah, next to juggling.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's having her having low iron.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Literally, and when I tell you, my friends worked so
- 15:32Speaker 4: hard to help me get that.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Footage, so let's talk about the commercial reel upon request.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Question giving that away.
- 15:41Speaker 5: It's a true thing. This is a true thing. We're
- 15:43Speaker 5: not usually allowed to put our commercials in our reels
- 15:46Speaker 5: because you see the commercials and they don't want to
- 15:50Speaker 5: hire you if you've been in a progressive commercial ten
- 15:52Speaker 5: years ago.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Literally the reason why I've never known.
- 15:58Speaker 5: So, yeah, if you're doing that, I would take it
- 16:00Speaker 5: out brand because.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Take it out and replace it with a title that
- 16:06Speaker 4: says I'm on house teams.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, even if they won't go to a shore,
- 16:15Speaker 1: they're going to do well.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I actually heard that some casting offices have been doing
- 16:19Speaker 3: random spot checks at the Yard.
- 16:21Speaker 6: Theater at uc B.
- 16:23Speaker 2: We have a random night.
- 16:27Speaker 6: They're going everywhere and they're going, that's not on the team.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Wow, that resume doesn't there's no teams here. They can't
- 16:35Speaker 2: do that.
- 16:36Speaker 6: They can't do that. But that's what I'm hearing.
- 16:39Speaker 3: This is just what I'm hearing this country.
- 16:42Speaker 7: Actually, But it's we should tell SAG about this.
- 16:45Speaker 6: We have to tell SAG about this.
- 16:47Speaker 7: I like to, you know, make sure that my performances
- 16:49Speaker 7: are always top notch. To This is a note for
- 16:51Speaker 7: any upcoming actors. I got a spot for me ac throdon,
- 16:54Speaker 7: which is a medicine that is for your let's say
- 16:58Speaker 7: it bottom. And I was doing a show at the Groundlings,
- 17:03Speaker 7: where I often performed. They came and saw it. You
- 17:06Speaker 7: can still look at the spot and I am on
- 17:07Speaker 7: a I'm on a toilet in every part of my life,
- 17:11Speaker 7: so I'm I'm in the car, I'm on the toilet.
- 17:13Speaker 7: It shows that you can't escape.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Your I think I've seen it. You're saying I do
- 17:18Speaker 6: from the toilet.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I do.
- 17:20Speaker 7: It's incredible, and I like, I know a couple people
- 17:22Speaker 7: who are now Fortnite feel backs are like my friends.
- 17:24Speaker 7: Of course, I think, yeah, and but I got it
- 17:27Speaker 7: from performing live, so just continue to do that.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Like I feel like Growling's training gives you sitting on
- 17:34Speaker 5: toilet where you said training gives your like dad who's
- 17:38Speaker 5: scared of a monster under the kid.
- 17:41Speaker 4: And Second City helps me because it's like it's a
- 17:43Speaker 4: little bit like kid, get in the car, Yeah, get
- 17:46Speaker 4: in the car, yet in.
- 17:47Speaker 1: The right and renal playhouses like get through it. They're
- 17:51Speaker 1: going to gamble.
- 17:52Speaker 6: Yeah, totally.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Going out there, like I've noticed, like they will all
- 18:01Speaker 5: say like more commercials are kind of going out there.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Which I think is so interesting that more commercials are
- 18:06Speaker 5: going out to Novata.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I will say, yeah, I.
- 18:08Speaker 7: Don't get it.
- 18:09Speaker 5: I just don't get it.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Like what's the reason?
- 18:11Speaker 7: Yeah, but is it expensive?
- 18:14Speaker 2: It's actually really cheap to live in Reno, Nevada. And
- 18:16Speaker 2: it's been amazing. I know, isn't that shocking? And it's I.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Actually moved out there, and I was really nervous because
- 18:23Speaker 1: I love this town. I love la It's so beautiful.
- 18:27Speaker 1: It's my heart, it's my home. Tommy's Cheeseburger is like
- 18:29Speaker 1: it's so special to me. But you know, as soon
- 18:32Speaker 1: as I got out there, I've been booking, like no, yeah,
- 18:36Speaker 1: I'm in a commercial for you might see me as
- 18:39Speaker 1: audience member going to see Blue Man Group audience member,
- 18:41Speaker 1: going to see Oh Delay, audience member, going to see
- 18:45Speaker 1: Hell on Wheels.
- 18:46Speaker 2: The meat look music that sounds like background work a
- 18:47Speaker 2: little bit. It's non union my paychecks. Can I ask?
- 18:51Speaker 2: Is it non union?
- 18:51Speaker 1: It's my union and it's it's it's it's a lot
- 18:55Speaker 1: of money.
- 18:56Speaker 7: So closer you to now becoming audio.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Saggy Sag. I left my wallet on the plane, but
- 19:07Speaker 2: I am sag. I have the car. I do need
- 19:13Speaker 2: to go back to the plane because I'm funcked. I
- 19:15Speaker 2: have to get my you.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Have to get it, and then you have to bring
- 19:17Speaker 4: it to republica Pie and you get a free lemon bar.
- 19:19Speaker 5: No, it's so nice.
- 19:26Speaker 7: After that's it's.
- 19:28Speaker 1: So exciting to be SAG. It's changed my entire life
- 19:31Speaker 1: when it comes to booking.
- 19:32Speaker 7: Should we explain what SAG is for anyone who doesn't?
- 19:35Speaker 5: Okay, So SAG is like this wonderful thing. It's absolutely heaving.
- 19:40Speaker 5: It is the screen actors gilled after and I think
- 19:45Speaker 5: after it is usually like after, like it's after, Yeah,
- 19:48Speaker 5: I think it's like after it after. Yeah, So you
- 19:52Speaker 5: get in the screen actors grilled and it's after after.
- 19:55Speaker 5: So they do like after amazing things for you, like
- 19:59Speaker 5: get after it. They make sure that on commercials on
- 20:02Speaker 5: TV we are paid the right amount, and then on
- 20:05Speaker 5: commercials online it's the wild West and they don't care.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Yeah, because there's actually no way to regulate that.
- 20:12Speaker 6: And you know, let's careful. No one can figure out
- 20:16Speaker 6: how to regulate that.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Good word for us on TV and on TV only.
- 20:21Speaker 5: I went out for a TikTok and it paid two
- 20:23Speaker 5: hundred dollars flat one hundred billion people saw that TikTok.
- 20:28Speaker 3: You're actually able anyone from TikTok is able to email
- 20:31Speaker 3: you whenever they want and offer you any amount of
- 20:34Speaker 3: money or whatever amount of services.
- 20:37Speaker 6: And that's what's cool about.
- 20:39Speaker 5: So close to figuring that out.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I hear they're launching a web series, Agreements.
- 20:49Speaker 6: I've seen previews of it.
- 20:51Speaker 4: I saw previews posted some previews items okay.
- 20:58Speaker 2: With Ben Schwartz.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Yeah, and the deal looks good.
- 21:06Speaker 2: But it's so exciting, it's so fun.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I have been getting a lot of interesting work out there.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Sag is, you know, really having a blast in Vegas.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Vegas has always been a town of unions.
- 21:19Speaker 6: I heard the sad guys are out there in Vegas.
- 21:22Speaker 6: They're kind of hanging out.
- 21:23Speaker 2: You can't get rid of them. They're everywhere.
- 21:25Speaker 5: What's the last commercial you guys.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Went out for?
- 21:28Speaker 7: I Love Yesterday, Say it Quick Yesterday, Honday?
- 21:32Speaker 2: Okay, Oh my gosh, okay fun.
- 21:34Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:34Speaker 7: I was like setting up a tent with some girlfriends
- 21:36Speaker 7: for the weekend and we all just were going, Hey,
- 21:39Speaker 7: pass me that, you know, that's awesome to use your phone.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Cast me that, uh you were looking for your The.
- 21:46Speaker 7: Car was just there, which I love it when there's
- 21:48Speaker 7: a spot where the car is not like.
- 21:49Speaker 6: The focus is just there.
- 21:51Speaker 7: It's more about like friendship and whatever.
- 21:52Speaker 2: So what's going on?
- 21:53Speaker 1: Your texting?
- 21:54Speaker 6: Is everything? You said?
- 21:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and you texted your manager from your managers my heart?
- 22:01Speaker 7: Do you guys? It was at larmonch.
- 22:06Speaker 6: That baby store.
- 22:07Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, that's so interesting.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I thought it was.
- 22:13Speaker 7: Yeah, so you it's like annoying because you got a
- 22:15Speaker 7: paper parking whatever, but you know.
- 22:17Speaker 2: L vigil is really.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Can I okay follow up quickly? I know I wanted
- 22:24Speaker 5: to hear like what commercials are all going off for?
- 22:26Speaker 5: But I actually had a question like is anybody because
- 22:27Speaker 5: I feel like there's such a divide in commercials. There's
- 22:30Speaker 5: the quirky funny or there's the hot model, and there's
- 22:34Speaker 5: very little crossover car commercials. Primarily if it's a luxury car,
- 22:40Speaker 5: hot model. Primarily if it's a family car, it's quirky funny.
- 22:44Speaker 4: I'd say that in the middle of that men diagram
- 22:46Speaker 4: is progressive.
- 22:48Speaker 5: Really, because I feel like progressive is all quirky funny.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I've never actually seen a model.
- 22:53Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 22:54Speaker 10: Maybe I think is like high oh, because it's not
- 23:03Speaker 10: that she's not beautiful.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and digging like I think, like.
- 23:07Speaker 5: When I see an Infinity commercial or like a Lululemon commercial.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that is not funny. I'd like to correct you.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Funny women make me erect what.
- 23:20Speaker 7: I thank you for saying that.
- 23:21Speaker 5: There's just tones of commercials.
- 23:27Speaker 7: I think it was. We all have mics.
- 23:29Speaker 6: I think, yeah, you know, yours is coming through. I
- 23:32Speaker 6: am hearing it.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Are you okay? You're still shaking.
- 23:34Speaker 6: I'm no, I'm I'm fine. I'm just sorry. I'm trying
- 23:37Speaker 6: to shake off this cheese. Its spot.
- 23:39Speaker 4: I went out for it.
- 23:41Speaker 6: You have to live.
- 23:42Speaker 2: It would happen.
- 23:44Speaker 6: I know.
- 23:44Speaker 7: And just like name who was casting and where it was?
- 23:46Speaker 6: So I I the well, okay to hundred South.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Uh big Bogs casting?
- 23:54Speaker 2: Which is your last name? Big Bogs?
- 23:57Speaker 6: Wait a second, my dad is a casting my dad
- 24:02Speaker 6: is a casting director. And the book and I sold
- 24:04Speaker 6: a book. I so don't book. My dad's a casting director.
- 24:07Speaker 6: I go off for all of them. I saw a book.
- 24:09Speaker 7: Oh no book.
- 24:13Speaker 3: And okay, so shee's it's I go in. It's the
- 24:15Speaker 3: breakdown that I always get. They send it out to
- 24:19Speaker 3: every twenty nine year old and it says gen z
- 24:21Speaker 3: TikTok energy. We want quirky, funny, chaotic gen z TikTok energy.
- 24:27Speaker 4: I like that. Just smile without your teeth.
- 24:30Speaker 6: Yeah, and I wish I knew that.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I wish what happened?
- 24:34Speaker 6: Well, I go in and I, oh my god.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Wait, we have a clip of it.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Actually, the casting associates sent it over.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Your dad sent a clip of an audition you're upset about.
- 24:45Speaker 7: That makes me.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Shoot.
- 24:47Speaker 6: He's always trying to make me better. He is, so
- 24:50Speaker 6: he thinks I'm going to get better.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Okay and play. Go Hi.
- 24:58Speaker 6: My name is Emily big bug I. I am sorry, Dad.
- 25:02Speaker 6: Can I start over?
- 25:04Speaker 2: I'm not Dad, I'm Cedric here.
- 25:07Speaker 6: Cedric me your dad?
- 25:09Speaker 2: On zoom you can sort.
- 25:13Speaker 6: Cedric. Why are they to you?
- 25:22Speaker 5: This seems like a disaster already, the clients on zoom,
- 25:26Speaker 5: I can explain. I can explain. Your dad didn't want
- 25:29Speaker 5: to be called dad. He wanted to be called But.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Then another people were confused by whether or not they
- 25:39Speaker 2: were your dad because.
- 25:43Speaker 6: Not everyone knows that my dad is Big Bog.
- 25:46Speaker 3: So they they think that I'm just like calling the
- 25:49Speaker 3: casting director dad, and so they're trying to make me
- 25:51Speaker 3: feel comfortable and they're trying to make themselves dad too.
- 25:55Speaker 2: So the red from Jesus was trying to be nice
- 25:57Speaker 2: and say that they were your dad.
- 25:59Speaker 6: You just keep going.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Well, let's keep on playing it into the edition here, okay,
- 26:04Speaker 5: ready to play.
- 26:05Speaker 2: No, Timothy, I'm her dad.
- 26:08Speaker 7: Do whatever you need to make it comfortable.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Go ahead, Emily, go again?
- 26:15Speaker 6: Is there an app for this? Cheese it? Or can
- 26:18Speaker 6: I get on with my lunch?
- 26:21Speaker 5: Okay? I thought that wasn't too bad.
- 26:24Speaker 3: I could tell my dad hated it.
- 26:31Speaker 7: Well, did they give you another did they tell you
- 26:33Speaker 7: to do another take? Or was it thanks? Have a
- 26:36Speaker 7: great day.
- 26:36Speaker 6: They said thank you so much for coming in the
- 26:39Speaker 6: second I stopped my sense.
- 26:40Speaker 7: No, okay, so that's a note. Also you should Usually
- 26:43Speaker 7: if it's going well, they'll have you stay in the
- 26:46Speaker 7: lobby for a second and just like hang around and
- 26:48Speaker 7: just kind of look at the other people who are
- 26:50Speaker 7: kind of waiting, and then you'll go back in and
- 26:52Speaker 7: do it again. If you get an immediate thank you,
- 26:54Speaker 7: it's usually a no.
- 26:56Speaker 5: Well, because I wanted to say something like you didn't
- 26:59Speaker 5: I didn't see a button and this is like the
- 27:02Speaker 5: button queen right here?
- 27:04Speaker 1: You have But wait, don't we have that compilation of
- 27:09Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, buttons.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Okay, let's play it.
- 27:15Speaker 6: Let's do it, and you can give me the intro line.
- 27:17Speaker 5: Okay, great, yeah, I'll give you please. Hey, uh flow
- 27:22Speaker 5: here again with progressive. Here's my fun assistant.
- 27:26Speaker 7: I'm the assistant.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Do we have to do?
- 27:30Speaker 6: We have to work on this car today? I hate that.
- 27:34Speaker 7: See I hate that was what I added to the end.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Of the line.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Now we know it's the line, and now now you
- 27:39Speaker 4: give me.
- 27:40Speaker 7: The actual line, and how about I add the button.
- 27:42Speaker 6: To Okay, I get, I get that was really crazy.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Okay, okay, great, Now I know what you're saying. Yeah, gosh,
- 27:50Speaker 5: so many granola bars? Which one do I choose?
- 27:55Speaker 7: Gosh, so many granola bars? Which ones do I choose?
- 27:59Speaker 6: Okay, it's all over here. That's a button.
- 28:03Speaker 4: That's but because you know what they say about a
- 28:06Speaker 4: really good button is, even if it's a problem button,
- 28:09Speaker 4: lean with a smile because you're always going up. And
- 28:11Speaker 4: that's something about commercials, guys. I know, like some people,
- 28:13Speaker 4: I kind of go out theatrically a lot.
- 28:16Speaker 5: You go theatrically poop and.
- 28:19Speaker 6: Poop and oh it used to be with poop intent.
- 28:24Speaker 6: They're honestly amazing.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Do you think do you think they know I made up?
- 28:31Speaker 2: You know, like I love I love ID for a
- 28:38Speaker 2: meeting with pretty.
- 28:40Speaker 6: I was at a company. They changed the name, but
- 28:41Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure they changed it to Poop Intent.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yeah, she's jealous.
- 28:46Speaker 7: It used to be Artist Lean Artist Lean.
- 28:50Speaker 6: Yeah is crazy rat to me, gu guard it is
- 29:06Speaker 6: such a delight. Are you with Sam?
- 29:09Speaker 2: Are you Sam?
- 29:09Speaker 6: Are you with Sam at Poop and Tint?
- 29:12Speaker 2: Yes? I love Sam. I would love to get a
- 29:15Speaker 2: meeting with you.
- 29:16Speaker 4: You know who's Sam?
- 29:17Speaker 1: We all?
- 29:18Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure, yeah, because I have like a hip
- 29:22Speaker 3: pocketing thing going on with Sam from Poop and Tin.
- 29:24Speaker 7: They give you jobs, but they're not okay, So hip
- 29:26Speaker 7: pocketing two is where they want.
- 29:28Speaker 6: To Yes, they want here in the door at the room.
- 29:31Speaker 7: They are definitely gonna sign you soon. I think we
- 29:33Speaker 7: all kind of have different hip hocketing and they will
- 29:37Speaker 7: give you jobs here and there, but and eventually they
- 29:40Speaker 7: hope you will.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm being hip pocketed currently by a brand, actually
- 29:45Speaker 2: a company.
- 29:45Speaker 1: It's a horse feed company, and they really want me
- 29:49Speaker 1: and their stuff and they've been looking around.
- 29:51Speaker 2: You've been doing their stuff, but they haven't paid you.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yet that's like.
- 29:54Speaker 1: They they've been basically like, we love your look. Once
- 29:58Speaker 1: we can get you into a horse feed ad, we
- 30:00Speaker 1: are so excited about it.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so. It's so cool.
- 30:02Speaker 1: So they're talking about me, thinking about me, and they're
- 30:04Speaker 1: they're sending me like literally, they send me pictures from
- 30:06Speaker 1: their retreats and stuff they have.
- 30:09Speaker 6: They made horse feed ads that you're not in since those.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Making a lot of horse feed ads.
- 30:14Speaker 6: Okay, so but there's one in the future for you,
- 30:16Speaker 6: for you.
- 30:16Speaker 1: They said that there if there's something that comes along
- 30:19Speaker 1: that feels really right, it feels like it could be
- 30:21Speaker 1: a match in the future.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's so, it's.
- 30:24Speaker 6: Just it's incredible getting in the room. You know, you
- 30:26Speaker 6: want to be on that shortly.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Know.
- 30:27Speaker 4: What's interesting about that, though, is that you care about
- 30:30Speaker 4: the client. Because I think for young commercial actors out there,
- 30:32Speaker 4: there's the client, then there's the director, right, and the
- 30:34Speaker 4: client is hiring the director. And sometimes I'm a director girly,
- 30:37Speaker 4: like I want the director to like me, not the client.
- 30:39Speaker 6: The client, Like, I don't know, it's so different.
- 30:41Speaker 5: Because like you have to know, like are you paying
- 30:43Speaker 5: to the client? Are you playing to the director? Which
- 30:45Speaker 5: one's stronger, which one has the bigger.
- 30:46Speaker 7: Opinion, And they'll tell you. Sometimes they go, this guy
- 30:48Speaker 7: likes to mess around. This guy like going there, and
- 30:51Speaker 7: he likes to have fun, play.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Or do nothing. This guy because yes.
- 30:57Speaker 1: And they and the clients are fun because you'll never
- 30:59Speaker 1: know what they want and they'll never tell you.
- 31:01Speaker 2: And sometimes it's just that you look like their daughter,
- 31:04Speaker 2: and that's kind of fun.
- 31:05Speaker 5: They'll never you'll never know why you get cast in
- 31:07Speaker 5: a commercial. Love it is because you remind them of
- 31:09Speaker 5: somebody from their family.
- 31:12Speaker 2: They love the angle of your thumb as you hold
- 31:14Speaker 2: a credit card.
- 31:14Speaker 1: You know, just sometimes some hands look better holding things
- 31:17Speaker 1: than other things.
- 31:18Speaker 4: But I've had a client love the way I looked
- 31:21Speaker 4: in the callback and the audition, and then hair and
- 31:23Speaker 4: makeup kind of did me a little bit differently, and
- 31:27Speaker 4: it was kind of like I had to get the
- 31:28Speaker 4: client back because they're like, that's not the girl in
- 31:30Speaker 4: the audition.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:32Speaker 3: I love when they They are always holding you up
- 31:36Speaker 3: as a standard against the person who auditioned, like they're
- 31:38Speaker 3: two different people and not like one is standing right
- 31:41Speaker 3: in front of them. Literally one is like a prop
- 31:44Speaker 3: and an.
- 31:44Speaker 6: Entity and an obstacle. But the girl from the audition was.
- 31:47Speaker 2: They they love they love quality.
- 31:51Speaker 5: I mean, okay, have you guys recently been in for
- 31:54Speaker 5: I'm going to say a Binky Being spot.
- 31:58Speaker 1: One of the most credible, com credible commercial director.

- 42:29Speaker 5: Can There's a man I met on the street and
- 42:33Speaker 5: he was yelling, yelling, yelling, and he was saying, I'm

- 43:06Speaker 7: represent you.
- 43:07Speaker 2: And that.
- 43:11Speaker 5: Big question about waiting rooms. Are you, guys a gabber
- 43:15Speaker 5: or a phoner?
- 43:17Speaker 2: Oh?
- 43:17Speaker 5: Are you gavin to the person to the right and left?
- 43:20Speaker 5: Or are you on your phone scrolling waiting?
- 43:22Speaker 4: Or are you looking at the sides? Because sometimes I
- 43:26Speaker 4: I'm one of those girls. I'll say it. I say, oh,
- 43:29Speaker 4: here are the sides? Are they up in the room? Great?
- 43:31Speaker 4: And then I check my email.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I'm a gabber. I like to hear how long it
- 43:35Speaker 2: took everyone to get there. You love asking those questions.
- 43:39Speaker 2: I say, how long did it take you to get
- 43:41Speaker 2: your roads? Did you take? Whare did you park? Do
- 43:44Speaker 2: they validate?
- 43:45Speaker 5: Yes?
- 43:45Speaker 1: I like to ask that kind of stuff to every
- 43:46Speaker 1: single person, even if I get the answers I need
- 43:48Speaker 1: from one that's as like.
- 43:50Speaker 7: A social club. It's fun to gab and be like
- 43:52Speaker 7: I saw you on this spot or I saw you,
- 43:54Speaker 7: and it's a good way to connect. And yeah, I
- 43:56Speaker 7: love like especially if you know the you know casting
- 43:59Speaker 7: person shouting back in to the room at them, Hey
- 44:01Speaker 7: yea to say hi to everybody who's everywhere, and I
- 44:03Speaker 7: think that everyone really likes them. They like being around
- 44:05Speaker 7: that too.
- 44:06Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I go.
- 44:08Speaker 5: To my phone because a lot of the people that
- 44:10Speaker 5: I'm ending up going in with, like a lot of
- 44:12Speaker 5: the other slob ugly people, have some of the worst
- 44:16Speaker 5: opinions on everything you've ever heard. I just don't want
- 44:19Speaker 5: to open that can of work.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Because not everybody is playing slobs. Some are some people
- 44:24Speaker 3: are actually slob to play slob, So it's you're just getting.
- 44:28Speaker 5: Your theories I've heard, and the opinions on women specifically,
- 44:31Speaker 5: I've heard from the people that are being cast of
- 44:33Speaker 5: that you just don't want to open it up.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Sure, half of them are so nice.
- 44:38Speaker 5: I mean half of them think you know, there's something
- 44:41Speaker 5: that lives in the earth and they're ready to talk about.
- 44:45Speaker 7: Well.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I do have a question now that I'm a new
- 44:47Speaker 1: a new dad type, I wanted to.
- 44:50Speaker 6: Ask because.
- 44:55Speaker 4: I'd say, I'd say it's a similar life change both ye.
- 44:58Speaker 7: Yeah, one is a kid when is a and you
- 45:01Speaker 7: might not be getting a ton of sleep because you're like,
- 45:03Speaker 7: what's this new like thing? How do I make it work?
- 45:05Speaker 2: I do have new kids on set changes the time.
- 45:09Speaker 7: You are someone who likes to connect with those kids too,
- 45:11Speaker 7: and that's I'm just kind of, yeah, that's awesome.
- 45:13Speaker 2: It's really nice of me. I mean, I love being
- 45:16Speaker 2: a part of their lives forever totally.
- 45:18Speaker 1: But I think my question is when you get paired
- 45:20Speaker 1: with somebody that you're a married couple or you're dating.
- 45:23Speaker 13: Or you know, when they go you you you you you,
- 45:26Speaker 13: and you're like you look around and you're like, oh,
- 45:27Speaker 13: there's this you know woman or I'll even do man,
- 45:31Speaker 13: but there's this woman that will be like.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Now we're married. Yeah, what do you guys do to
- 45:36Speaker 2: kind of build that chemistry before?
- 45:37Speaker 5: So interesting, like build that moment before exactly like we
- 45:41Speaker 5: are hitting it all.
- 45:42Speaker 7: Yes, you know, varies person to person. Some people will
- 45:45Speaker 7: give you a kiss, some people will not very but
- 45:49Speaker 7: ask ask, of course, ask, of course, of course ask
- 45:52Speaker 7: always as always, always, always as pay. And some people
- 45:56Speaker 7: will you go, you know, just to write before have
- 45:59Speaker 7: a little kiss, go in. You know, we're actors, so
- 46:01Speaker 7: I think it's like important to be able to do
- 46:03Speaker 7: that stuff and have no feelings and walk in and
- 46:05Speaker 7: then you go, have.
- 46:05Speaker 6: A good day.
- 46:06Speaker 7: You get the call back.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I walk when you're going in and You're like,
- 46:14Speaker 1: now you have a husband and you're going in.
- 46:16Speaker 2: For your dad.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's it's weird to see because my dad
- 46:21Speaker 3: really doesn't like it when I date people.
- 46:24Speaker 6: And he he was really weird about prom. He was
- 46:26Speaker 6: like one of those like you know.
- 46:28Speaker 3: He was wearing one of those joke shirts that said, like,
- 46:33Speaker 3: my daughter's prom date needs to be aware that I
- 46:37Speaker 3: could that I carry.
- 46:42Speaker 6: I wonder where you.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Buy him.
- 46:47Speaker 9: He needs to be aware car He.
- 46:52Speaker 6: Gets them from Big Dog. If you ever go to
- 46:54Speaker 6: Big Dog shirts Big Bag and the Big.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Dog shirt.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Out of the bag, Big Bob Dan Big Bog shops
- 47:06Speaker 3: at Big Dog and and his.
- 47:08Speaker 6: Stars are just like us. God, but he knows I'm
- 47:12Speaker 6: a professional.
- 47:14Speaker 7: He did.
- 47:15Speaker 3: There was one that I was close to booking and
- 47:18Speaker 3: I had this husband and I improved a little thing
- 47:22Speaker 3: that said like, honey, not in front of the kids
- 47:26Speaker 3: or something. I just added a little button and he
- 47:30Speaker 3: immediately told the man to leave and sent him away
- 47:34Speaker 3: from the casting office.
- 47:36Speaker 7: And so, well, that's not fair.
- 47:37Speaker 5: You just a ball of stress. You need to loosen up, literally,
- 47:43Speaker 5: you know, like they're big pay for your life.
- 47:49Speaker 6: Of course, of.
- 47:50Speaker 5: Course, a drink if your book online, I cannot get
- 47:53Speaker 5: over it.
- 47:54Speaker 7: It's greaty because you want to die going there, You
- 47:56Speaker 7: want to die, and you go, I want to cry,
- 47:58Speaker 7: I want to die. I want to cry, want to die.
- 48:00Speaker 7: But if you and for most of the time you
- 48:02Speaker 7: won't book it. But the one time you do it
- 48:04Speaker 7: pays for four years exactly.
- 48:06Speaker 1: It's it's the most embarrassing thing you could ever do
- 48:09Speaker 1: that would change your life for the better.
- 48:11Speaker 6: Yeah, and you try not to think about that.
- 48:13Speaker 3: Do you guys ever go out for sort of like
- 48:17Speaker 3: brand activation things. Ever, this is more of a explain
- 48:23Speaker 3: so do you Okay, maybe this is more of a
- 48:26Speaker 3: so this was constantly happening in New York.
- 48:28Speaker 6: I was in New York for a little bit.
- 48:30Speaker 4: Little that's sick as hell.
- 48:31Speaker 7: That's really cool. I've been trying to that's like literally sick.
- 48:35Speaker 6: It's a big apple.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Sometimes I'll just say based in New York just for fun.
- 48:38Speaker 7: Yeah, just to say, you want to be married to
- 48:41Speaker 7: New York for Halloween.
- 48:43Speaker 6: But it'll be like brand.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Based in New York.
- 48:47Speaker 6: Yeah, new York local.
- 48:49Speaker 4: We're just gonna get all my kids in a different colors.
- 48:51Speaker 3: Like the brand events where you have to walk around
- 48:55Speaker 3: the brand This happens live thing A as a an
- 49:02Speaker 3: actor for that, So you're doing a commercial live, so wow,
- 49:06Speaker 3: Like there was a I did a Pampers one once
- 49:09Speaker 3: where I was the evil Sud Sud Ambassador and I
- 49:13Speaker 3: and I was, you know, saying, I'm gonna scrumb the
- 49:17Speaker 3: babies and.
- 49:18Speaker 5: You have to do it to like real people in
- 49:19Speaker 5: the industry. I did it, yeah, asked as in the Fallout.
- 49:24Speaker 5: They were doing like the big Fallout premiere and they
- 49:26Speaker 5: wanted some real actors to walk around like they're in Fallout.
- 49:29Speaker 5: So I got weird cooks with a ass cracks like
- 49:32Speaker 5: I kind of had so funny. It was like I
- 49:35Speaker 5: was a waiter for a day, but I had an
- 49:36Speaker 5: ass crack and I was in this really embarrassing costume.
- 49:39Speaker 5: And I met every single You meet.
- 49:41Speaker 7: All the stars and they like you and they see
- 49:43Speaker 7: you as they go, oh it's another working actor and
- 49:45Speaker 7: we're kind of at the same Oh yeah yeah.
- 49:49Speaker 6: Mutual respect, I think.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Respect. You can say like game recognized game Yeah
- 49:57Speaker 2: you can.
- 49:59Speaker 5: It's like, hey, you want some slip yeah, because we
- 50:05Speaker 5: both start on action.
- 50:06Speaker 6: That's it.
- 50:07Speaker 7: I start some action.
- 50:08Speaker 1: I actually was part of a very famous viral campaign
- 50:12Speaker 1: I was hired to be a smile.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:16Speaker 1: I was hired to be you know, the movie Smile,
- 50:18Speaker 1: that smile campaign Smile. I sat in an emergency room
- 50:22Speaker 1: in Detroit for eight hours and just smiled at the
- 50:24Speaker 1: shirt on.
- 50:25Speaker 2: And how much you get paid? I got paid. I
- 50:28Speaker 2: got paid fifty dollars and all I could eat from
- 50:30Speaker 2: the vending machine and you good. I thought you were crazy.
- 50:33Speaker 2: I got arrested. I got arrested in the emergency room.
- 50:36Speaker 6: What a story that's your late nice story?
- 50:38Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 50:38Speaker 7: What story?
- 50:40Speaker 5: You know?
- 50:40Speaker 6: It starts in commercials?
- 50:42Speaker 2: N Okay, okay, wait, we have.
- 50:48Speaker 6: To be practicing early because any of us are going
- 50:50Speaker 6: to pop any second.
- 50:52Speaker 4: Weird, mine's weird.
- 50:53Speaker 6: You're okay, I'll be your I'll be your Colbert.
- 50:55Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, okay, if you're if you're listening to this
- 50:58Speaker 4: and you don't know what that is like when you
- 50:59Speaker 4: go on a late night show when you're a big celebrity,
- 51:02Speaker 4: Like it's like when Margot Robbie like talks about how
- 51:04Speaker 4: her kids are like like making a mess, and she's
- 51:07Speaker 4: like and she's like a grounded.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Store and show is like a sun poker on TV. Yeah.
- 51:12Speaker 6: Yeah, so I have some pictures. Here, our producer send
- 51:16Speaker 6: us some pictures.
- 51:17Speaker 4: Yes, that's me as Chester, the Cheetos babysitter.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Look at that?
- 51:21Speaker 6: Would you look at that? Chester, the Cheetos babysitter. Now
- 51:24Speaker 6: how did you get that gig?
- 51:26Speaker 4: It's a gig I did when I was twenty three
- 51:29Speaker 4: and that day sucked the the wardrobe department where the
- 51:33Speaker 4: worst group of women I've ever had, and they and
- 51:36Speaker 4: they talked down to me the whole time.
- 51:43Speaker 9: You using your first late night show to just disparage.
- 51:52Speaker 6: Women. She late night show.
- 52:00Speaker 7: Asked me something we're sitting like, how so much?
- 52:07Speaker 6: Actually?
- 52:08Speaker 3: Right?
- 52:08Speaker 6: Better as Colbert? This is cool, This is okay, Now,
- 52:15Speaker 6: this is amazing. I heard you went on a trip
- 52:19Speaker 6: to France recently.
- 52:20Speaker 2: I did.
- 52:21Speaker 6: Yeah, uh huh.
- 52:22Speaker 7: I went to France for oh embarrassing. I booked a
- 52:26Speaker 7: little It was a recent This was like sixty years
- 52:29Speaker 7: ago the record, this is like six years ago. But
- 52:34Speaker 7: I booked a job where you know, it was a
- 52:36Speaker 7: early huggling actor. So I was doing a job for
- 52:40Speaker 7: a chair company called Syntharida. And this is a company,
- 52:45Speaker 7: okay I know, based in Thailand and I had to
- 52:48Speaker 7: go and the spot was me going this.
- 52:51Speaker 6: Chair is nice. And then it ran and it ran
- 52:55Speaker 6: and it ran and it.
- 52:55Speaker 7: Ran, Stephen and that was that's it. So have you've
- 52:58Speaker 7: seen me from CINDARDA?
- 53:00Speaker 3: That's what I think we have a clip of that.
- 53:02Speaker 3: Can we Yeah, I think we could play that. This
- 53:05Speaker 3: is your commercial from that.
- 53:08Speaker 6: This is a nice cheer?
- 53:10Speaker 2: Is not the.
- 53:14Speaker 6: Exactly?
- 53:15Speaker 5: And that was yeah, so positive and so interesting. Like
- 53:21Speaker 5: it's definitely like I never saw that commercial, but it
- 53:23Speaker 5: feels like you really it was.
- 53:24Speaker 7: It was all over the place.
- 53:26Speaker 2: I wasn't.
- 53:26Speaker 1: It wasn't as relatable to me as this one. I
- 53:29Speaker 1: kind of like stories about disparaging women.
- 53:31Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 53:32Speaker 2: This one was so good. It was so good.
- 53:36Speaker 4: That didn't really help.
- 53:37Speaker 2: This felt a little more relatable.
- 53:38Speaker 7: You're like, I just yeah, that's it.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Kind of sounded like champagne problems. I have.
- 53:44Speaker 4: Iron guys want to see it?
- 53:47Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, will you be I don't want to defend anything.
- 53:49Speaker 2: I don't want to defend you anyword like that feeling
- 53:54Speaker 2: she cuts deep.
- 53:56Speaker 4: Okay, do yours yours?
- 53:57Speaker 6: Okay?
- 53:58Speaker 3: Now I hear that you have a story involving a
- 54:02Speaker 3: celebrity's transformed over.
- 54:06Speaker 6: What I don't know what it is. Charisma. That's my key,
- 54:13Speaker 6: that's my way in it's charisms. Colbert is in the room.
- 54:17Speaker 5: So yeah, this is a crazy story. This is a
- 54:21Speaker 5: commercial I did for Fruit of the Loom. It was
- 54:25Speaker 5: Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Reynolds ugly, uh, disaster of a cousin.
- 54:31Speaker 5: So they this is really funny if you look at it.
- 54:35Speaker 5: I'm next to Ryan Reynolds.
- 54:36Speaker 2: There it is.
- 54:36Speaker 5: I'm next to Ryan red there it is. But I'm
- 54:38Speaker 5: like the ugly, hideous, hideous, hideous monster. And my line
- 54:42Speaker 5: is I got a barf.
- 54:46Speaker 2: I love my job and I.
- 54:47Speaker 5: Love the way it doesn't mess with me mentally.
- 54:51Speaker 7: Just remembered that my question was in France and not Thailand.
- 54:55Speaker 6: Hey that's that's okay.
- 54:57Speaker 7: Hey Hey, hey, no, I just messed up. And I
- 55:01Speaker 7: just hold myself to like a pretty high standard.
- 55:04Speaker 3: Well no, hey, I know I totally get it before
- 55:07Speaker 3: I before I became Stephen Colbert a few minutes ago.
- 55:11Speaker 3: It's things are really really it's so hard.
- 55:16Speaker 7: It's been aspiring to do.
- 55:17Speaker 6: You like, just transformed.
- 55:19Speaker 4: I'm so sorry.
- 55:20Speaker 6: Commercials are just yourself.
- 55:21Speaker 3: You know, you go in and when they reject you,
- 55:24Speaker 3: they're rejecting your type and your person.
- 55:27Speaker 5: Or your whole the hard job in the world because
- 55:31Speaker 5: you just have to do it's a job interview every
- 55:33Speaker 5: day and there's a technique and it's really stressful. And
- 55:37Speaker 5: the people in the rooms I feel bad for them too.
- 55:40Speaker 5: They're working all day every day just trying to get
- 55:42Speaker 5: this spot so specific because it's.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Not necessarily art, it's but the brand once are found,
- 55:49Speaker 2: there see.
- 55:50Speaker 6: Art, and there's art to be found, and there's art
- 55:51Speaker 6: to be found.
- 55:52Speaker 3: And I would say the the people who make the
- 55:55Speaker 3: little videos for the self tapes where it's like, Okay,
- 55:59Speaker 3: you're to look at the camera.
- 56:00Speaker 5: Yes, the assist.
- 56:04Speaker 6: Seriously hero he pick it up, put it down.
- 56:07Speaker 11: Literally, don't stop the escalator. Please do not say the
- 56:15Speaker 11: line until you've hit the top of the escalator.
- 56:18Speaker 2: We've had a lot of people coming in.
- 56:20Speaker 7: We want real people, do it real you guys.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Were you guys when everyone would like applaud outside of
- 56:26Speaker 4: their windows at seven pm for the frontline workers. I
- 56:29Speaker 4: was also doing that for those those commercial cast Yes,
- 56:34Speaker 4: bang and banging.
- 56:35Speaker 1: It is like really encouraging to hear. A lot of
- 56:38Speaker 1: people have been because they always say something I never
- 56:40Speaker 1: thought of. They're a lot of people have been talking
- 56:43Speaker 1: about this Chase Lounge, like they're scared of it, but
- 56:46Speaker 1: you should like it, Like, oh, I was gonna like it.
- 56:48Speaker 2: I'm already in the top percent.
- 56:49Speaker 5: Interesting that we would be scared of like Chase Lounge,
- 56:52Speaker 5: and how many people came in.
- 56:54Speaker 6: With yeah, yeah, give me, give me yes.
- 57:04Speaker 7: It's but you're scared.
- 57:08Speaker 5: It's so tough, like when you run into that one
- 57:10Speaker 5: casting assistant that feels like no matter what they do,
- 57:13Speaker 5: you do, they immediately hate you from the get go.
- 57:16Speaker 5: Have you guys been to three five five LOSTIENA.
- 57:19Speaker 4: Guy yeah, always says guys, you're gonna be using this
- 57:24Speaker 4: this driving wheel, don't put it in your mouth. Guys,
- 57:27Speaker 4: here's the CLEENX.
- 57:28Speaker 6: Don't put it in your mouth.
- 57:29Speaker 4: And it's like, guys, like what, Like who's going on?
- 57:31Speaker 5: Also, take for the guy who wears the big, big hats.
- 57:34Speaker 5: I don't want to name names, but he's got the
- 57:35Speaker 5: biggest hats in the world. And I do a take
- 57:38Speaker 5: and I go like huh, Like the line will be
- 57:41Speaker 5: like wait what wait a second Hrshey's, And I'll be
- 57:44Speaker 5: like wait what a second Hurshey's And he'll literally go
- 57:46Speaker 5: like m yeah, why don't you care? And I know,
- 57:54Speaker 5: I'm so sorry, and he'll just rak met in front.
- 57:57Speaker 5: This is a big audition with a lot of people there.
- 57:59Speaker 5: He will single meeting, so maybe a second callback part.
- 58:02Speaker 5: It's like a second callback for which job was this?
- 58:04Speaker 5: This was Hershey's and the line was huh a Hershey's
- 58:08Speaker 5: And he just laid.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Into me for an hour and a half.
- 58:14Speaker 5: But then there's some casting assistance and then your book.
- 58:18Speaker 6: And then you are so nice, King bookhad so nice.
- 58:21Speaker 5: There's truly the nicest people in the world.
- 58:25Speaker 2: A really hard job doing a job.
- 58:28Speaker 7: Wait, what's your craziest You almost got something?
- 58:32Speaker 6: And maybe where were you when you find.
- 58:33Speaker 7: Out or if you didn't, which is my favorite thing
- 58:35Speaker 7: they do, Like, I genuinely like love it because it's
- 58:38Speaker 7: kind of like fun when they don't.
- 58:40Speaker 6: Tell you if you're ever off of a veil. M yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 6: just fun to have something on the calendar. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 58:48Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 58:48Speaker 4: I'm because republic won't respect you. And you're like, hey,
- 58:52Speaker 4: I just got released off of that a veil, right,
- 58:54Speaker 4: and and I'm and I'm seeing the footage of her
- 58:56Speaker 4: and Fiji, right, and I'm like I should have gotten
- 58:59Speaker 4: those curtain banks to yours ago before the pandemic, everything
- 59:01Speaker 4: would have shifted from me.
- 59:02Speaker 7: Then wouldn't have been so cool if we had like
- 59:04Speaker 7: a way to go back, but we don't.
- 59:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say, I'm so surprised that Republican Pie
- 59:11Speaker 1: is so tight with their schedule.
- 59:13Speaker 2: I would guess if if I would have to pick
- 59:15Speaker 2: in the dark a business.
- 59:16Speaker 1: That was really relaxed when it comes to actors of ales, and.
- 59:22Speaker 4: I'd say, if you're a young commercial actor out there,
- 59:25Speaker 4: go to a restaurant with a lot of shift covering
- 59:27Speaker 4: the Republic of It's pretty much.
- 59:30Speaker 6: Made in concrete and you cannot book out. Fly is insane.
- 59:38Speaker 6: I hear it is in and it's lock into when
- 59:41Speaker 6: to meet and undo those It's crazy. It's crazy anyway.
- 59:45Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 59:45Speaker 4: I feel like I keep derailing this. I don't know
- 59:47Speaker 4: what it is.
- 59:47Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 59:48Speaker 4: I don't want to say that I'm triggered today. Maybe
- 59:50Speaker 4: I've just had like a rough day or something. But
- 59:52Speaker 4: I do want to apologize if I'm bringing anny.
- 59:54Speaker 5: Of course, guys, I was almost the get go you were.
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: That's possible.
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: That was insane, always a ge get go.
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: But I don't think I don't really view that Gecko
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: as a slop. That's interesting.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: They went a different direction that Gecko was supposed to be.
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: It's supposed to.
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: Be a journey's We're because I know a couple of
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: the Geckos that were going out for that role, really,
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: and they were pretty much all the same type of
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: get go.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: Mostly that's what happens.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Like commercials.
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: I always trying to bring one person and that's opposite
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: of type.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: They brought in a disgusting man.
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: That's pretty fun.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: I have one that you know, hunts me. I would
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: say every year.
- 1:00:30Speaker 14: I was the second choice for the Santa Claus and
- 1:00:35Speaker 14: the eminem commercial where he says they do exist. And
- 1:00:38Speaker 14: so every Christmas everyone's like, I can't wait to see
- 1:00:40Speaker 14: that commercial again, and I go, well, it's just going
- 1:00:43Speaker 14: to remind.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Me that, you know, my Christmases are a little leaner
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: than his. Yeah, that's probably dead at this point.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: I hope he Jesus, I hope he is too for you.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I hope he is too. Yeah, what were you
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: guys close to?
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: I mean, I I hate him and saying it because
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: it was right there. But and they but when they
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: go with you know, it's helpful when they go with
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: a different gender because you go, Okay, it wasn't ever
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: meant I was going to be the shell guy who
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: stands outside, you know how they have the cutout of
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: the guy when you go and you pull up at
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: shell and he's holding them. It was gonna be a woman,
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: which I thought could have been very cool and very
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: uh you know, you know women, because literally and they
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: went with a man, which I am. I love this guy,
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: Kristin Christian.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: His name is Brett. I do know him for real. Yeah,
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: he's great, you know him, fantastic. Yeah, but usually I
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: know I think they actually I think it's someone who
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: is no longer anymore.
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: Okay, so I consider you.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: Could He's fine.
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: I'm so sorry.
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: Yeah, so it was almost it was almost a woman
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: and uh, strangely enough, same get up and everything, which
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: I said, okay, like it was a yellow pants, white
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: button down stuff. Yeah, no, I was the one.
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: And that's just such a nice aside. Really quickly, watch
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: commercials is like watching my best friends hang out.
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: My god, I wish I was on that.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: There's that person. I know that person. Oh, I know
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: that person's watching Facebook.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: These are all of Chad's Facebook friends.
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: I can't tell I don't, let's.
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: Talk about it.
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: But I can tell that.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: I dare you.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I'm not living l anymore and a half the hour
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: and reader to Ada and see all your friends on TV.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: I dare you to.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Yeah, well here's the thing. Let's talk about it. And
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: I don't want to open this can of worms. But
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: I'm usually sitting in front of the super Bowl with
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: like five different pads of paper taking extent.
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: Well, you're not doing your.
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: Job if you're not, you know, so, I think so
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: like that super Bowl.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Is like it's not our Oscars because there's no celebrations.
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: The super Bowls are super Bowl.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: Is our super Bowl?
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: It's weird.
