- 8:38Speaker 8: here into the winter. The winter, the album is called
- 8:41Speaker 8: Painted Feelings. And he throws this single out as his

- 9:41Speaker 16: The whole of India is looking at you. I keep
- 9:46Speaker 16: my friends and my friends in the mansion.
- 9:49Speaker 4: I don't know what to do.
- 9:50Speaker 16: I don't know what to do. I think about the
- 9:50Speaker 16: next move, listen to the beat and groove. I don't
- 9:52Speaker 16: give interviews, but I'm still in the news.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Son, sit a little closer.
- 9:58Speaker 14: There are so many people here. I'm sick of you,
- 10:04Speaker 14: I'm in a crutch, I'm in a crutch It's such
- 10:07Speaker 14: a beautiful thing to say that it's an obligation Ask
- 10:10Speaker 14: me where did you get the drugs?
- 10:11Speaker 4: They say, you keep them in a big bag We laugh,
- 10:14Speaker 4: you follow us, we shout at each other.
- 10:16Speaker 16: Every day How many times have we stayed in the
- 10:18Speaker 16: same place? Half of Rashid and the rest of the
- 10:21Speaker 16: kids are very deep God's grace.
- 10:22Speaker 14: And goodness is with everyone, everyone Yes.
- 10:26Speaker 17: Nia, my love Don't worry about this I understand, don't
- 10:32Speaker 17: worry Honey.
- 10:44Speaker 8: I'm here. Setting the table right there. The song called Pablo.
- 10:51Speaker 8: Sunny Godewal is coming by. Doida Dasgupta is coming by.
- 10:55Speaker 8: Meera Sharma coming by. And here is Dr.
- 10:59Speaker 5: Roy.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Hey guys, this is Dr. Roy with today's Word on
- 11:02Speaker 4: the Avenue.
- 11:03Speaker 15: In film and TV news, Christopher Nolan recently stepped into
- 11:06Speaker 15: the Criterion closet and selected Satyajit Ray's The Apu Trilogy,
- 11:11Speaker 15: calling Ray one of the greatest Indian filmmakers and Poitipachali
- 11:15Speaker 15: as an absolutely incredible film that just blew his mind.
- 11:19Speaker 15: More than 70 years after Ray's landmark trilogy, which continues
- 11:23Speaker 15: to inspire filmmakers like Nolan and introduce new generations around
- 11:27Speaker 15: the world to one of Indian cinema's greatest works. In
- 11:32Speaker 15: media news, luxury watchmaker Jacob & Company has unveiled the
- 11:36Speaker 15: epic Mahadev edition, an India-exclusive timepiece inspired by Lord Shiva
- 11:41Speaker 15: and Hindu symbolism. The 44mm titanium watch features a skeletonized
- 11:46Speaker 15: dial with the Trishul, Damru, and sacred Om symbol, along
- 11:50Speaker 15: with Om Namah Shivaya, while blue superluminova accents illuminate the
- 11:55Speaker 15: details in the dark, which is now available on Ethos
- 11:59Speaker 15: Watches in India, with pricing yet to be announced. But
- 12:01Speaker 15: it's Insightful how Hindu symbolism has made it into the
- 12:04Speaker 15: watch industry. In event news, Ganesh Durti reached an extraordinary
- 12:09Speaker 15: setting as Indian scientists in Antarctica created a snow idol
- 12:14Speaker 15: of Lord Ganesha and marked the Ganesh Visarjan with an
- 12:17Speaker 15: eco-friendly immersion. The unique celebration brought an Indian tradition to
- 12:21Speaker 15: the icy continent while honoring the festival's spirit of devotion
- 12:25Speaker 15: and environmental responsibilities.
- 12:28Speaker 4: For today's Word on the Avenue. Until next time.
- 12:31Speaker 8: The great Dr. Roy, thank you very much for that
- 12:34Speaker 8: report right there. One of the big music albums of
- 12:38Speaker 8: this last week has been the big Got an Audula
- 12:41Speaker 8: album called Season 1, Audula Season 1. This is my
- 12:46Speaker 8: favorite lead single. The song is called Ashke.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Ashke. This magic is in our hands.
- 13:07Speaker 18: You see the world in a blink of an eye.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Standing in the middle of the crowd. I walk straight ahead.
- 13:15Speaker 18: I don't have a ring in my hand. I don't
- 13:19Speaker 18: have a ring in my hand. I don't have a
- 13:21Speaker 18: ring in my hand. I don't have a ring in
- 13:24Speaker 18: my hand. I don't have a ring in my hand.
- 13:27Speaker 18: I don't have a ring in my hand. Baby you're
- 13:37Speaker 18: so fire Baby you're so fire.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Baby you're so fire.
- 14:02Speaker 18: Wherever I keep my feet, I keep my toes on
- 14:04Speaker 18: the ground. I came to the village with a pair
- 14:07Speaker 18: of sandals and a pair of shoes. I didn't want
- 14:10Speaker 18: to give a show-off, so I went to India.
- 14:12Speaker 4: I got a check, but I couldn't even get a.
- 14:15Speaker 18: Photo of the land. I went straight to Turiya. You
- 14:18Speaker 18: are the destiny, you are the destiny. You are a bodyguard,
- 14:22Speaker 18: I am a bodyguard. We are your friends, not your friends.
- 14:26Speaker 18: We are your friends, not your friends.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Thank you. I'm not a thief, I'm a robber. My
- 14:52Speaker 4: weapon is not a weapon, I'm a thief.
- 14:54Speaker 18: What can I do? My brother is a robber. I'm
- 14:56Speaker 18: not a robber, I'm a robber. I'm not a robber,
- 14:59Speaker 18: I'm a robber. I'm not a robber, I'm a robber.
- 15:24Speaker 8: A big shout out to Mercy Beats, everybody. Mercy Beats,
- 15:30Speaker 8: the producer behind this song and really the man behind
- 15:34Speaker 8: a bunch of great music out there right now, including
- 15:36Speaker 8: Sidhu Moosewala's brand new song and so many other great stuff.
- 15:40Speaker 8: Shout out to Mercy Beats. And with that, now let's
- 15:43Speaker 8: bring in Meera Sharma to the show with today's Mindful Sass.
- 15:46Speaker 8: What's up, Meera?

- 15:48Speaker 9: Hey, everyone.

- 15:53Speaker 20: helping you stay self-assured, spirited, and strong.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Hello, October.
- 16:00Speaker 20: New month, autumn vibes, and only few months left in
- 16:03Speaker 20: the year. But don't panic if you haven't ticked off
- 16:06Speaker 20: everything off your list.
- 16:08Speaker 9: There is still time.
- 16:10Speaker 20: Take a look at those goals you set at the
- 16:12Speaker 20: beginning of the year. What still matters to you? What
- 16:16Speaker 20: can you start working on now? You don't need to
- 16:19Speaker 20: change your entire life overnight. Pick one thing, take one
- 16:24Speaker 20: step and keep moving. So let's make these final months count.
- 16:29Speaker 20: There's still plenty of magic left in 2026. You've got this.
- 16:33Speaker 8: Thank you, Meera. Thank you so much. The great Meera
- 16:36Speaker 8: Sharma right there with this week's Mindful Sass. We hang

- 19:47Speaker 3: may be.
- 20:09Speaker 8: But the head of the class when it comes to
- 20:11Speaker 8: Hindi hip-hop in my eyes. Raga, of course. His brand
- 20:17Speaker 8: new project, Kuch Matkar, is the song. And folks, as
- 20:23Speaker 8: part of our ongoing partnership with the United Nations News Department,
- 20:28Speaker 8: Ruckus Avenue Radio teams up with the UN News to
- 20:31Speaker 8: bring you a weekly news report right here on the
- 20:34Speaker 8: bridge every Monday morning, and that usually brings Daniel Johnson
- 20:38Speaker 8: into the studio. How are you today, Daniel?
- 20:41Speaker 24: This is UN News Today with me, Daniel Johnson. The headlines.
- 20:46Speaker 24: In Haiti, extortion, gang violence and hunger are still the
- 20:50Speaker 24: daily reality for millions. Meanwhile, in Ukraine... The ongoing war
- 20:55Speaker 24: threatens even greater regional disaster and must end, insists Human
- 21:00Speaker 24: Rights Chief Volker Turk. And in Gaza, the WHO appeals
- 21:04Speaker 24: to Israel to end delays to life-saving medical deliveries needed
- 21:09Speaker 24: desperately by Palestinians bracing for winter. We start in Haiti,
- 21:16Speaker 24: where the Caribbean island nation's people are still in the
- 21:19Speaker 24: grip of lethal gang violence as it continues to adapt
- 21:23Speaker 24: and expand. the UN's top rights official Volker Turk said
- 21:26Speaker 24: on Friday. In an update to the Human Rights Council,
- 21:30Speaker 24: Mr Turk welcomed the first gang suppression force operations mandated
- 21:34Speaker 24: by the UN Security Council. These will help boost security
- 21:38Speaker 24: in Haiti, but the force remains far below the strength needed,
- 21:42Speaker 24: Mr Turk insisted, in support of its full accelerated deployment
- 21:46Speaker 24: with human rights safeguards embedded. At least 5,700 people have
- 21:51Speaker 24: been confirmed killed or injured by gangs or during operations
- 21:54Speaker 24: against them since 1 January, according to the UN Human
- 21:58Speaker 24: Rights Office, OHCHR. Gang members have also kidnapped more than
- 22:03Speaker 24: 230 people and raped at least 1,000 women and girls.
- 22:07Speaker 24: The real figures are likely much higher, Mr Turk said.
- 22:11Speaker 24: In his update, the High Commissioner for Human Rights also
- 22:14Speaker 24: warned that extortion, Looting and destruction of property are crippling
- 22:17Speaker 24: economic activity in Haiti. The constant danger prevents people from
- 22:21Speaker 24: reaching schools, hospitals and essential services, Mr Turk stressed. Staying
- 22:27Speaker 24: with the UN rights chief, who's also warned that the
- 22:30Speaker 24: ongoing war in Ukraine risks an even greater regional disaster
- 22:34Speaker 24: unless Russia's full-scale invasion ends. Speaking at the Human Rights
- 22:38Speaker 24: Council in Geneva, Mr Turk condemned what he called a
- 22:41Speaker 24: human rights catastrophe in Ukraine. marked by shocking levels of
- 22:45Speaker 24: sexual violence against civilians and prisoners of war by Russian forces.
- 22:50Speaker 25: The full-scale invasion unleashed by the Russian Federation is killing
- 22:54Speaker 25: and injuring hundreds of people every week as front lines
- 23:00Speaker 25: barely move. Apartment buildings, schools, medical centres, railways, seaports, gas stations,
- 23:07Speaker 25: shops and logistics and telecommunication companies have been hit in
- 23:12Speaker 25: recent attacks.
- 23:13Speaker 24: Mr Turk said that the Russian leadership should also consider
- 23:16Speaker 24: what this war is doing to their own society, which
- 23:19Speaker 24: he maintained was becoming a militarised economy that puts death
- 23:23Speaker 24: and destruction ahead of healthcare and education. During the first
- 23:27Speaker 24: eight months of this year, UN human rights monitors in
- 23:29Speaker 24: Ukraine have verified nearly 15,300 civilians killed and injured. On average,
- 23:35Speaker 24: that's more than 400 every week. Repeated delays in bringing
- 23:40Speaker 24: life-saving medicines, prosthetics and more from Israel into Gaza are
- 23:44Speaker 24: having devastating consequences for Palestinians who urgently need them. That's
- 23:49Speaker 24: the message from the UN World Health Organization, WHO, whose
- 23:53Speaker 24: representative in the occupied Palestinian territory, Dr. Reinhild van der Veert,
- 23:57Speaker 24: urged the Israeli authorities to release the pressure on medical supplies.
- 24:02Speaker 24: She also stressed that essential medicines and prosthetics should not
- 24:05Speaker 24: be considered as dual-use drugs, and banned by Israel on
- 24:09Speaker 24: the grounds that they could be used by Hamas fighters. Instead,
- 24:12Speaker 24: they are medical items anybody needs anywhere to run a
- 24:15Speaker 24: hospital or a clinic, she said.
- 24:18Speaker 26: A truck full of non-priority supplies or the right supplies
- 24:22Speaker 26: arriving too late doesn't save lives. That is the question
- 24:26Speaker 26: that actually matters. Not how much costs the border, but
- 24:29Speaker 26: whether the extraordinary health workers that I meet every time
- 24:33Speaker 26: I'm in Gaza, whether they have the supplies when and
- 24:36Speaker 26: where needed, and whether patients are getting the medical care
- 24:40Speaker 26: they need and deserve. And today, unfortunately, that answer is
- 24:44Speaker 26: clearly no.
- 24:46Speaker 24: It is almost 12 months since a fragile ceasefire agreement
- 24:49Speaker 24: was reached between Hamas fighters and Israel. It has not
- 24:53Speaker 24: prevented ongoing Israeli airstrikes and other military activity. Gaza's humanitarian
- 24:58Speaker 24: situation remains overwhelming, warned the UN Aid Coordination Office, OCHA.
- 25:03Speaker 24: As in previous winters in Gaza, the enclave's residents are
- 25:06Speaker 24: expected to face a heightened risk of preventable disease outbreaks,
- 25:10Speaker 24: linked to the absence of safe shelter, a lack of
- 25:12Speaker 24: clean water and the high prevalence of rats. whose bites
- 25:16Speaker 24: transmit infection. The destruction of public health laboratories has also
- 25:20Speaker 24: complicated the task of identifying potential epidemics, WHO warned. Daniel Johnson,
- 25:26Speaker 24: UN News.
- 25:27Speaker 8: Thank you very much there, sir, for the news report, Daniel.
- 25:31Speaker 8: This song right here is called Rada.
- 25:46Speaker 19: Why does it keep falling, Radha?
- 25:50Speaker 4: Oh Radha!
- 25:54Speaker 27: My Radha is filled with water in the nest of birds.
- 26:03Speaker 27: These birds have lost their way.
- 26:48Speaker 19: Us ghum chadho lena naam tera kaha mujh se Mere
- 26:53Speaker 19: pank bheege hain paon chalate nahin yeh Aur iss jangal
- 26:59Speaker 19: mein ek gid bhookha hai Jo mujh ko dhoond taar
- 27:07Speaker 19: Gar kal subha tak na ho.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Khuda ki ganimet toh.
- 27:11Speaker 13: Na saas ho na hi aahate na yeh jeebal To
- 27:16Speaker 13: Maa Se Meri Radha To Kehna Khush Hai.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Tera Ladka.
- 28:52Speaker 8: Looking forward to talking to Sonny Garibaldi here shortly. This
- 28:55Speaker 8: song is called Rada. Jadivari, collaborating with Natkat. Love this.
- 29:03Speaker 8: And I love the intercollaboration. I'm a big proponent of
- 29:08Speaker 8: artists getting together even within the Indian space. A lot
- 29:11Speaker 8: of these Indian artists are looking for people out here
- 29:13Speaker 8: in the West. You don't need to do all that,
- 29:15Speaker 8: you know? Here's Duggie.
- 29:32Speaker 4: What?
- 29:52Speaker 28: Go to the village and make a name for yourself
- 29:55Speaker 28: in the village.
- 29:56Speaker 4: The place where the plate is red, the whole world
- 29:58Speaker 4: is not known. My hair is black, I don't know
- 30:01Speaker 4: where to go now. And you don't get that feeling,
- 30:03Speaker 4: you keep going.
- 30:04Speaker 28: With the help of the range, open the custom app.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Don't cry who ate, people are not jealous.
- 30:10Speaker 28: My mother told me to eat a little with a stick.
- 30:13Speaker 28: That's the money I got to eat. I don't have
- 30:15Speaker 28: a name behind the abuse, and I am my world.
- 30:26Speaker 28: .
- 30:28Speaker 4: .
- 30:42Speaker 28: Knock, knock. Jaggi, everybody.
- 30:54Speaker 28: Love the lyrics on this song. A lot of energy,
- 30:58Speaker 28: as I've mentioned to you.
- 31:20Speaker 8: And an excellent way to ride through our Monday with
- 31:22Speaker 8: a little energy. And we'll keep it going. And this
- 31:25Speaker 8: time with Toronto's Brampton's very own. This is Simmer. It's
- 31:30Speaker 8: called Billo.
- 31:31Speaker 9: Billo.
- 31:43Speaker 4: Thank you for watching.
- 32:06Speaker 29: May the vibe be a willow May the time be
- 32:10Speaker 29: a willow The world is mine in a willow May
- 32:13Speaker 29: the style be a willow May the vibe be a
- 32:16Speaker 29: willow May the time be a willow The world is
- 32:19Speaker 29: mine in a willow, willow I'm outside ya.
- 32:39Speaker 4: And I'm out shining, out grinding, out vibing.
- 32:43Speaker 11: At the top, there is no sleeping.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Oh, yes. Reaching a new height.
- 32:49Speaker 8: Yeah, we're climbing. Yeah, we're flying.
- 32:54Speaker 4: Uh-huh. Maybe time. Maybe.
- 32:56Speaker 30: The world is mine in a pillow You know, if you.
- 33:41Speaker 8: Caught that first part interview of Simmer sitting down with Brubleen,
- 33:47Speaker 8: and Brubleen's show is called The Jugni Podcast right here
- 33:51Speaker 8: on Ruckus Avenue Radio. And Simmer and Brubleen's conversation. Part
- 33:56Speaker 8: one happened this past week. Part two happens this week.
- 34:02Speaker 8: And all you got to do is head on over
- 34:04Speaker 8: to ruckusavenueradio.com and catch all of the programming news. Great stuff.

- 36:59Speaker 4: Wear them We.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Will hide from the fairies.
- 37:13Speaker 8: Arjun and Raghav, it's a duo out of India, and
- 37:21Speaker 8: they've been just dropping heaters from this Hindi pop space.
- 37:25Speaker 8: They really have. This is one of the popular songs
- 37:28Speaker 8: that we just dropped. It's one of their first few
- 37:29Speaker 8: ones that caught our radar. They've dropped a few other
- 37:33Speaker 8: songs just over this last couple months. We've been playing
- 37:37Speaker 8: them on our show. This next one we've got for
- 37:40Speaker 8: you as we get ready to bring in Sonny Guttowall
- 37:44Speaker 8: to the program. It's from Sidhu Moosewala as he gets
- 37:48Speaker 8: ready for this world tour here. The big hologram world tour.
- 37:51Speaker 8: Stand by for Sunny.
- 38:16Speaker 4: We'll be right back.
- 38:46Speaker 27: Oh, oh, oh.
- 39:00Speaker 4: Awe naam deni pukhe paun deni.

- 39:49Speaker 8: All right, folks. Hope you guys are enjoying your Monday
- 39:51Speaker 8: so far. Wanted to pull in my bestie here, Sonny.
- 39:54Speaker 8: How are you, Sonny?
- 39:55Speaker 9: I'm doing well. Calling me your bestie. Oh, man, that's
- 39:59Speaker 9: such an honor. Thank you, brother. You gave me an
- 40:01Speaker 9: honor today.
- 40:02Speaker 8: You know, every Monday we're hanging out like this. And
- 40:04Speaker 8: of course, you know, all the time we spend away
- 40:06Speaker 8: from this call, of course, talking about life, liberty, and
- 40:08Speaker 8: the pursuit of happiness, which brings me to it. I know, Sonny,
- 40:11Speaker 8: that it was your birthday here last week. And of course,
- 40:14Speaker 8: on behalf of everybody here on the bridge and All
- 40:17Speaker 8: of our listeners want to wish you the very best.
- 40:20Speaker 8: But as I was texting you, Sonny, yeah, as I
- 40:24Speaker 8: was texting you, I was thinking it must be a
- 40:26Speaker 8: pretty reflective birthday for you. In light of everything that
- 40:31Speaker 8: has happened this year for you.
- 40:33Speaker 9: Yeah, Robert, I'll be honest with you.
- 40:35Speaker 7: This was the most difficult birthday of my life.
- 40:39Speaker 9: And it was interesting. For anyone who doesn't know, my mom, unfortunately,
- 40:43Speaker 9: left us four months ago.
- 40:45Speaker 7: And I'll share this with you and everyone because you're
- 40:51Speaker 7: like family. Me and my mom only spent one birthday
- 40:56Speaker 7: away from each other. And it was unconsciously or consciously
- 41:01Speaker 7: when I got to realize how I ended.
- 41:03Speaker 9: Up being who I am and.
- 41:06Speaker 7: What mum means and what women do to bring up
- 41:11Speaker 7: their children.
- 41:12Speaker 9: I had so.
- 41:15Speaker 7: Much gratitude for my mum at a very young age
- 41:18Speaker 7: that I thought, right, you know what?
- 41:20Speaker 9: It's not my birthday. It's my mum because she got
- 41:23Speaker 9: me here.
- 41:24Speaker 7: And on the day that I was born, she's the
- 41:26Speaker 7: one who gave me that gift of life. And so
- 41:30Speaker 7: I've got the best present in life. Sorry, I got
- 41:33Speaker 7: the best present years ago because she gave me birth.
- 41:36Speaker 7: And therefore, I have to honor the woman who got
- 41:38Speaker 7: me there. And so what I used to do is,
- 41:40Speaker 7: as soon as I was in control of my faculties
- 41:44Speaker 7: and everything, and I don't know how old I was
- 41:46Speaker 7: when this died, but I just spent it with my mum.
- 41:49Speaker 7: You know, if I had to go to school on
- 41:51Speaker 7: that day, I remember I used to pretend the night before,
- 41:54Speaker 7: I'm not feeling well.
- 41:55Speaker 9: And, oh, it's your birthday, you're pretending. I said, no,
- 41:57Speaker 9: I'm really not. And then on the day of my birthday,
- 41:59Speaker 9: I pretend to be sick.
- 42:00Speaker 7: All day, but I was with my mum all day.
- 42:02Speaker 7: And if my mom had to go to work, I
- 42:04Speaker 7: would pretend like I've fallen over, broke my arm or something.
- 42:07Speaker 9: And she can't go to work because she had to
- 42:10Speaker 9: stay with me.
- 42:10Speaker 7: So there's all these panics I did when I was younger.
- 42:14Speaker 7: And then as I got older and I started, you know,
- 42:18Speaker 7: telling everyone, mom would say, oh, are.
- 42:20Speaker 9: You going out? I said, no, I'm with you. What
- 42:21Speaker 9: do you want to do?
- 42:22Speaker 7: And then, then my mom and I had sort of
- 42:25Speaker 7: this slowly fell into this sort of routine on my
- 42:27Speaker 7: birthday where we would get up. I would make her
- 42:29Speaker 7: a cup of tea and then we have tea and
- 42:31Speaker 7: then she would make me a cheese toast or something
- 42:33Speaker 7: or a paratha. And then, uh, and then we would
- 42:36Speaker 7: decide what we want to do. And it's whatever mom
- 42:38Speaker 7: wanted to do. So we would go either to the shop,
- 42:41Speaker 7: to the daily weekly shop or get the ingredients for
- 42:44Speaker 7: my cake, which he always baked at night before dad
- 42:48Speaker 7: came home and my sister and everything. And, uh, and
- 42:51Speaker 7: then we would, um, And then I would take her
- 42:54Speaker 7: to the cinema later on in life and take her
- 42:56Speaker 7: to the theater or anything. It was all planned around
- 42:58Speaker 7: my mom. My whole birthday was just my mom's day.
- 43:01Speaker 9: Not my day. It's my mom's day.
- 43:03Speaker 7: And when I used to, cause I don't like cake.
- 43:07Speaker 9: Uh, but she would bake me a Madeira cake. Yes.
- 43:12Speaker 9: That's it is no icing. No, nothing.
- 43:14Speaker 7: It's just that with one candle in the middle and, uh,
- 43:18Speaker 7: and then it will be another candle for her to
- 43:19Speaker 7: blow out. So I blow my candle out. Then I'll
- 43:21Speaker 7: put another one in, uh, and then she would blow
- 43:24Speaker 7: out a candle. And, uh, and that's how I celebrate
- 43:27Speaker 7: my birthday except for one year with my mom. And
- 43:31Speaker 7: this year, uh, you know, I, I turned 51 and, um,
- 43:37Speaker 7: And I, and soon as I woke up, even leading
- 43:39Speaker 7: up to 12 o'clock, I was feeling already like a
- 43:44Speaker 7: really emotional.
- 43:45Speaker 9: And then, and then, then the day started. And I'll
- 43:48Speaker 9: be honest with you. I didn't want the day.
- 43:51Speaker 7: I just wanted the day be over.
- 43:52Speaker 9: Like I'm already on the second because.
- 43:54Speaker 7: I knew there's going to be so many people like yourself,
- 43:58Speaker 7: like my friends and my family and the people who
- 44:01Speaker 7: know us. sending me well wishes and happy birthday and everything.
- 44:05Speaker 7: And the only thing I wanted to do was just
- 44:06Speaker 7: hear from my mom. The only voice I wanted to
- 44:09Speaker 7: hear was my mom's just, you know, and, uh, and it.
- 44:13Speaker 9: Was, it was difficult. I'm not going to lie.
- 44:17Speaker 7: It was so difficult that I didn't want to get
- 44:19Speaker 7: out my bed. And, um, I never felt like that
- 44:22Speaker 7: since my mom passed. And, uh, and then the day,
- 44:26Speaker 7: the hours went on and, uh, And then my daughter
- 44:29Speaker 7: was around me, you know, she was, you know, trying to,
- 44:32Speaker 7: you know, saying.
- 44:33Speaker 9: Look, I'm going to make you a cake and everything.
- 44:34Speaker 9: I said, dude, I don't want a cake. I don't
- 44:36Speaker 9: want nothing. I just, I'm good. I'm good.
- 44:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 44:39Speaker 7: And, uh, and then slowly the day passed. My dad said,
- 44:44Speaker 7: happy birthday. He hugged me and he started crying. He
- 44:47Speaker 7: gave me a present and my wife, you know, uh, Shay, she,
- 44:52Speaker 7: she tried to do her best, you know, um, because
- 44:54Speaker 7: it's just my, my, uh, and it's other things that
- 44:57Speaker 7: happened this week, I mean, which I'll share with you
- 44:59Speaker 7: on a later date, but there was a lot of
- 45:02Speaker 7: emotions going on at the time.
- 45:04Speaker 9: And, uh, and as soon as it hit 12 o'clock.
- 45:08Speaker 7: And I, and I'll be honest, it was a relief
- 45:10Speaker 7: that my birthday was over. It was like, it was,
- 45:13Speaker 7: it was, it wasn't even, I couldn't even reflect on
- 45:15Speaker 7: anything because all I was thinking.
- 45:16Speaker 9: About was my mom.
- 45:18Speaker 7: So I guess the price you pay for loving someone
- 45:22Speaker 7: is the grief that you feel after. And I'm glad
- 45:24Speaker 7: I'm feeling this grief because, there was something there that
- 45:28Speaker 7: is missing now that I invested a lot of time in.
- 45:31Speaker 9: And, and that love, that grief is the proof of
- 45:35Speaker 9: that love.
- 45:37Speaker 8: And I, to your point, how you recall her and
- 45:42Speaker 8: how you are talking about her so fondly and how
- 45:48Speaker 8: you're talking about her and reflecting on her the way
- 45:50Speaker 8: that you are. I think it's, it's, we can tell
- 45:55Speaker 8: it's very palpable to all of us listening to you that, um,
- 45:59Speaker 8: we can feel the connection and obviously, um, we can
- 46:03Speaker 8: hear the grief and, and, you know, Sonny, thank you
- 46:05Speaker 8: for sharing that.
- 46:06Speaker 7: That's like, obviously so many people going brother, there's so
- 46:12Speaker 7: many people are going through it. And if you're lucky
- 46:14Speaker 7: enough to say goodbye to your loved ones and you
- 46:17Speaker 7: have that gift of the goodbye, um, then you are blessed.
- 46:23Speaker 7: And there are some people, unfortunately, that I've heard of
- 46:28Speaker 7: who didn't have the.
- 46:30Speaker 9: Opportunity to say goodbye.
- 46:31Speaker 7: They were just snatched away from them without any kind
- 46:34Speaker 7: of warning. And so there is no right or wrong
- 46:39Speaker 7: way to go. But if there was a choice, I
- 46:42Speaker 7: would love the way I said goodbye to my mom.
- 46:46Speaker 7: I love the way I said goodbye to my grandmother.
- 46:49Speaker 9: And, uh, and they were surrounded by love when they left.
- 46:51Speaker 9: Do you know what I mean? And we're blessed that
- 46:54Speaker 9: we got that much.
- 46:57Speaker 8: Sunny. Thank you so much for sharing all that. Thank
- 46:59Speaker 8: you so much for hanging out with me and, and, uh,
- 47:02Speaker 8: obviously a big happy birthday from us to you. And,
- 47:05Speaker 8: but also most importantly, our, our love and our thoughts
- 47:08Speaker 8: are with you and, and our love is with your mom. And, uh, we,
- 47:12Speaker 8: we obviously can hear how much love you have for
- 47:15Speaker 8: her and, and, As your family here on the air,
- 47:19Speaker 8: you know, we want to send our love to you, man.
- 47:22Speaker 8: And I hope the days continue to get easier and
- 47:26Speaker 8: easier for you.
- 47:28Speaker 9: I hope so. I hope so.
- 47:29Speaker 7: But then at the same time, I hope not because
- 47:32Speaker 7: it's real, right? You carry this now. You carry this
- 47:35Speaker 7: with you every day. And it's a good weight to carry,
- 47:38Speaker 7: I suppose, if you understand what that means.
- 47:42Speaker 9: What it got me to feel this way.
- 47:45Speaker 7: And how much of that love was there that now
- 47:48Speaker 7: I am grieving. So I guess in a way, I
- 47:51Speaker 7: hope it continues.
- 47:53Speaker 9: For a long time, but in an honorable way, just
- 47:56Speaker 9: honor the grief.
- 48:00Speaker 8: Thank you, brother. Thank you, Sonny.
- 48:02Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 48:04Speaker 8: The great Sonny. My bestie. Have a great day, buddy.
- 48:10Speaker 8: Here's the next song for you guys.

- 50:41Speaker 8: out to my homies, Sonny Garu. My bestie, how about that?
- 50:46Speaker 8: You know, I hope Sonny's doing okay. He's going through
- 50:52Speaker 8: a lot. And I just wanted to applaud him for
- 50:54Speaker 8: sharing the story online. And keep sharing grief with people.
- 50:59Speaker 8: It's good.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Here's Dorita.
- 51:01Speaker 36: Thanks, Sammy.
- 51:02Speaker 8: Hi, everyone.
- 51:03Speaker 36: This is Doita Dashgupta, your Raka Savani Radio music correspondent,
- 51:07Speaker 36: back with some fun facts about your favorite artists. Today,
