- 0:02Speaker 1: This variety, Big ninety eight point seven, It's Gabe, It's Angie.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Happy Tuesday.
- 0:06Speaker 1: A big reminder to today is Veterans Day, So a
- 0:09Speaker 1: big thank you to all the veterans here from Big
- 0:11Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven. And if you see a veteran today,
- 0:14Speaker 1: make sure you just say thank you. You know, for
- 0:16Speaker 1: some of them it means a lot. Others will just
- 0:18Speaker 1: say hey, that's great and keep it bushing, kind of
- 0:20Speaker 1: like my dad.
- 0:22Speaker 2: But if you see a veteran, make sure you thank
- 0:23Speaker 2: them today.
- 0:24Speaker 3: In the world of rules in Gray Areas, one morning
- 0:26Speaker 3: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Is it illegal for a child to wear that much makeup?
- 0:31Speaker 2: Is it legal?
- 0:33Speaker 4: I understand, I.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Understand it's funny as all get out, but is it
- 0:36Speaker 2: even legal? On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:41Speaker 5: Is it legal to have a custom horn on your car?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Just like that one in North Dakota.
- 0:54Speaker 1: You can roll up to a stoplight blaring that Dukes
- 0:58Speaker 1: of Hazard Dixie horn and still be completely within the law.
- 1:05Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:05Speaker 1: It's one hundred percent legal to install a custom horn
- 1:09Speaker 1: on your car.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Maybe you want this, or maybe you're a big Vikes
- 1:13Speaker 2: fan like that. It is one hundred percent legal.
- 1:18Speaker 1: There's just a couple of criteria you have to meet, Okay,
- 1:22Speaker 1: as long as it's functional and you can hear it
- 1:25Speaker 1: from at least two hundred feet away, and then it's
- 1:29Speaker 1: not unreasonably loud or harsh.
- 1:33Speaker 6: So so we don't get my laugh as a horn.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, basically you can sound like bo and Luke
- 1:39Speaker 1: Duke from Dukes of Hazard. Just don't make it sound
- 1:42Speaker 1: like a tornado siren having a bad day.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The law says your horn just has to work and
- 1:47Speaker 1: basically not make people jump out of their skin, which means, yes,
- 1:51Speaker 1: you could hit them with the.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Old or.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Whenever you want or whenever you're rolling the Dairy Queen
- 2:00Speaker 1: drive through.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Just don't do it at two am.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And maybe you're quiet West Fargo, Fargo Moorhead neighborhood. Okay,
- 2:07Speaker 1: And I you know, go live your dream. I think
- 2:10Speaker 1: that's great. But a custom horn, I think it's awesome.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Maybe like the first three times you do it, it's
- 2:17Speaker 1: kind of.
- 2:17Speaker 2: A fun party trick.
- 2:18Speaker 1: At what point, though, do you kind of go okay that,
- 2:21Speaker 1: like this is silly?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Can I just have my regular back?
- 2:24Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, you're right?
- 2:26Speaker 2: Fifth time? Is it over?
- 2:28Speaker 6: Everyone?
- 2:28Speaker 2: Knows it's you exactly right.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Celebrating life's little victories every morning. We practice gratitude on
- 2:39Speaker 3: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 2:41Speaker 1: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 2:43Speaker 1: basket job bust it out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 2:50Speaker 3: two one ninety eight seven.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Kids.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I also needed to win that day.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And by the way, a big shout out to Tarran
- 2:57Speaker 1: this morning. Terran is actually new to the FM area.
- 3:00Speaker 1: She just texted us this morning, Hey, Tarren, welcome. Yeah, well,
- 3:03Speaker 1: I'm very welcoming people here. Welcome to the area. She
- 3:07Speaker 1: did text it and say I made it to work
- 3:09Speaker 1: the other day without using my maps app.
- 3:12Speaker 2: That is a big, major, big moment rast.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Way to go, Taran, and hey, new to the area.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Thanks for hanging out with us here at Big ninety
- 3:20Speaker 1: eight point seven. I'm Gabe. We have Angie. Angie, do
- 3:23Speaker 1: you have a little victory? And we practice gratitude every
- 3:26Speaker 1: day because we think it's important and good for you.
- 3:28Speaker 5: I'm very grateful that my passport arrived. I was really
- 3:33Speaker 5: concerned when I applied for my passport that I my
- 3:36Speaker 5: application would get rejected and for no reason other than
- 3:41Speaker 5: I just always get worried about stuff like that. You
- 3:43Speaker 5: have to mail off your birth certificate and your social
- 3:47Speaker 5: Scarit like, you have to mail off all these documents, right,
- 3:50Speaker 5: and then it's.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Like, which one did I forget?
- 3:52Speaker 7: What?
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah, they're going to send all this back and tell
- 3:55Speaker 1: me what I got a return exactly.
- 3:57Speaker 6: I was so concerned.
- 3:58Speaker 5: And at the end of the year, I'm going to
- 4:00Speaker 5: Mexico on a cruise to celebrate my niece's eighteenth birthday,
- 4:05Speaker 5: and so I was like, I really need this passport.
- 4:07Speaker 5: And it arrived yesterday, and might I add the picture
- 4:11Speaker 5: turned out kind of cute, like I saw it when
- 4:13Speaker 5: I first took it, but I had forgotten what it
- 4:15Speaker 5: looked like. Oh sure, am I look like me a
- 4:18Speaker 5: lot of times in photos like my license photo, I
- 4:22Speaker 5: look like a man named page Roll.
- 4:24Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I don't agree.
- 4:26Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, but I got my passport. The picture's good.
- 4:29Speaker 5: I'm ready to travel. So that's my little victory. What's yours, Gabe?
- 4:33Speaker 2: My little victory?
- 4:34Speaker 1: I think you kind of saw you saw the beginnings
- 4:36Speaker 1: of my little victory. I don't know what it is
- 4:40Speaker 1: about these Casey's gas station burritos they should. These breakfast
- 4:45Speaker 1: burritos should not be allowed to be as good as
- 4:49Speaker 1: they are. I, for whatever reason, it had been wanting
- 4:53Speaker 1: one since like Friday of last week.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Oh, that's funny.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And on the way in, you know there's a couple
- 4:58Speaker 1: extra minutes, I say, you know what, today's a day.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Today is the day.
- 5:03Speaker 1: So on the way and driving down twenty fifth, I
- 5:06Speaker 1: pulled over to a Case's and got me a breakfast burrito.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I ate it before the show today. I could not
- 5:11Speaker 1: be more fueled up for this program. Yes, morning, you are.
- 5:15Speaker 6: In a good mood.
- 5:16Speaker 5: It's funny because when we were driving to work, I
- 5:18Speaker 5: was next to you on the you know, we're driving
- 5:21Speaker 5: the same street, and then at one point you veered
- 5:24Speaker 5: off and Mikey was driving me, and.
- 5:26Speaker 6: He goes, where'd he go? And I was like, I
- 5:28Speaker 6: don't know, probably the gas station?
- 5:29Speaker 2: And now I know that's right.
- 5:31Speaker 5: You didn't have to fill up for gas. You just
- 5:33Speaker 5: really needed that burrito.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I walked in, blined it to where they are, grabbed one,
- 5:39Speaker 1: paid for it, and left.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I don't even think I was in there for twenty
- 5:42Speaker 2: five seconds.
- 5:42Speaker 6: No, we got to work at the exact same time.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Somehow, right, and I do have another minor little victory,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you know how I angie what do you call him?
- 5:50Speaker 1: The girls taking everything shower? Yeah, yesterday your boy did
- 5:54Speaker 1: a little bit of an everything shave, so it's at.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Not quite the same.
- 5:58Speaker 6: You groomed up you.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Yeah, we shaved the beard, We trimmed the mustache, made
- 6:02Speaker 1: sure it was all straight and in a line. You know,
- 6:04Speaker 1: the everything shave is where because I don't use like
- 6:06Speaker 1: a bic razor.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I've never really done that.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But the everything shaved for me is where you kind
- 6:10Speaker 1: of use different sized guards and you kind of blend over.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Oh, that's that work.
- 6:14Speaker 1: It takes time, and I took the eighteen minutes to
- 6:17Speaker 1: do that yesterday.
- 6:18Speaker 6: Look good, You look fresh. I mean, I don't know that.
- 6:20Speaker 5: I love you. Shaving during November, isn't it? No shave none?
- 6:24Speaker 1: And I didn't shave the beard or the mustache. Okay,
- 6:27Speaker 1: so you're still you'vember.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't shave it.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I just cleaned it up a tiny bit because it
- 6:31Speaker 1: was getting in my mouth and stuff like that.
- 6:33Speaker 5: If you're participating in November, can you send us like
- 6:39Speaker 5: a picture?
- 6:39Speaker 6: Can you send to seven oh one too?
- 6:41Speaker 5: Eight o one nine eight seven I want to see
- 6:42Speaker 5: the progress we've got going on November.
- 6:45Speaker 1: If you're doing November or no shave, no, yeah, let
- 6:48Speaker 1: us see it this morning. This past weekend, I drove
- 6:56Speaker 1: to Minneapolis to go to my buddy Jake's house. We
- 7:00Speaker 1: we're just going to rotate the tires on my vehicle,
- 7:03Speaker 1: which really is just you know, I got twenty minute
- 7:06Speaker 1: thing that it just gave us an excuse.
- 7:09Speaker 2: To hang out for three days.
- 7:10Speaker 6: I love that for you.
- 7:11Speaker 1: On my way home on ninety four, headed to Minneapolis,
- 7:14Speaker 1: like many people in the FM area do on a
- 7:16Speaker 1: regular basis, of course, I ran into construction where it
- 7:22Speaker 1: cuts you down to one lane, and I kind of
- 7:25Speaker 1: decided there are a couple of guarantees in life, and
- 7:28Speaker 1: one of those guarantees is there will always be construction
- 7:32Speaker 1: on I ninety four. It doesn't matter this season, it
- 7:35Speaker 1: doesn't matter though weather, it doesn't matter if they just
- 7:37Speaker 1: finished part of a project, they're gonna move ten miles
- 7:40Speaker 1: down the highway and continue on with another project and
- 7:44Speaker 1: start another one. I want to know this morning, what
- 7:47Speaker 1: are some guarantees in life? Seven h one two eight
- 7:50Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven. If you were to get
- 7:53Speaker 1: on ninety four right now and drive about forty minutes,
- 7:58Speaker 1: like east southeast. You'll know the exact construction I'm talking about.
- 8:02Speaker 6: There we go. I will guarantee in this life.
- 8:04Speaker 2: What's a guarantee in life? Angie? Do you have any Oh?
- 8:07Speaker 5: I have a feel and what you got for? I'm
- 8:09Speaker 5: not gonna go the death taxes route? No, no, no no,
- 8:12Speaker 5: I'm gonna go with your kids will need you the
- 8:15Speaker 5: second you go to the bathroom. Your kids will need you,
- 8:19Speaker 5: the second you.
- 8:20Speaker 6: Get on the phone.
- 8:21Speaker 5: And the one time you wish your phone was listening,
- 8:25Speaker 5: so something pops up on your algorithm.
- 8:28Speaker 2: It didn't right, It never is there when you're like, oh.
- 8:31Speaker 5: Guarantee, Yeah, I'm like, oh, I want to show you.
- 8:33Speaker 5: There's this thing hang on And then you go scrolling
- 8:36Speaker 5: through your phone and it's like, come on, targeted ads,
- 8:40Speaker 5: but we need show up.
- 8:41Speaker 6: And it's the one time it wasn't listening. How dare they?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah, targeted ads? Help me?
- 8:46Speaker 6: All right?
- 8:46Speaker 2: I got one for you, Angie.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Those of us in Fargo here, so North Dakota and
- 8:51Speaker 1: North Dakotin's and Minnesotan's will say this. Every single winter,
- 8:55Speaker 1: it wouldn't be that cold if it wasn't for the wind.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I think we need to actually keep a halle this winter.
- 9:01Speaker 1: About how many times that is set here on big
- 9:03Speaker 1: ninety eight points hap. It's a guarantee in life the
- 9:06Speaker 1: first time we get below you know, fifteen degrees or so,
- 9:10Speaker 1: where I guarantee you you will hear.
- 9:13Speaker 2: You know, it really wouldn't be that bad if it
- 9:15Speaker 2: wasn't for the winner or for the wind. Excuse me,
- 9:17Speaker 2: I'm gonna say that all the time. Yeah, yeah, there
- 9:19Speaker 2: you go. I have one more for you here, Angie.
- 9:21Speaker 1: And don't forget seven oh one two eight zero one
- 9:23Speaker 1: nine eight seven if you want to chime in. You
- 9:26Speaker 1: will run into someone you know at Target.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Even if you're.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Going in there just to grab shampoo and conditioner, you
- 9:34Speaker 1: will find someone to strike up a convo with. You
- 9:36Speaker 1: might not know him that well, maybe you just met
- 9:39Speaker 1: at the gas station one time. No matter what, when
- 9:42Speaker 1: you go into a Target, there will be someone where
- 9:44Speaker 1: you gotta stop and do the standard Fargo, Minnesota, sit
- 9:49Speaker 1: and chit chat for two minutes deal the Midwest.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Hello.
- 9:52Speaker 5: I always think that it's that you're gonna run into
- 9:55Speaker 5: someone when you look your worst.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's the other thing. You got a hoodie
- 9:58Speaker 1: on your wearing crop.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Yeah, it's never.
- 10:00Speaker 5: You never run into someone when you are dressed to
- 10:04Speaker 5: the nine. It's always when you have a ponytail that
- 10:07Speaker 5: looks like an onion.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you're a bit disheveled, Yes, looking like a shovel. Yeah, guarantee, guarantee.
- 10:14Speaker 1: All right, Mark, he let us know. You'll pick the
- 10:16Speaker 1: slowest checkout line, even if it only had one person
- 10:19Speaker 1: when you got it.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Yes, so true, no matter what happens.
- 10:23Speaker 1: This person might just be buying some Starburst and a
- 10:27Speaker 1: power aid and for whatever reason, they got to take
- 10:30Speaker 1: out their change bag and count it down to the
- 10:32Speaker 1: correct penny and.
- 10:33Speaker 6: Then they ran out of receipt paper.
- 10:35Speaker 1: One hundred percent, Sarah, the day you finally wash your car,
- 10:40Speaker 1: it's gonna rain or snow. That's also every time you
- 10:43Speaker 1: have it. A clean car doesn't exist in the winter here.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And then finally, Rebecca says, the moment you sit down
- 10:48Speaker 1: to relax, She kind of jumped on board with you, Angie.
- 10:50Speaker 1: The moment you sit down to relax, your dog, your kid,
- 10:54Speaker 1: or your bladder will immediately need something.
- 10:56Speaker 6: Your bladder. Oh that's a good one.
- 11:00Speaker 1: No one to eight zero one nine eight seven do
- 11:03Speaker 1: you have a fun guarantee in life. A bride to
- 11:15Speaker 1: be's story has gone viral. She had this dream that
- 11:20Speaker 1: her younger sister got engaged at her wedding. And I
- 11:23Speaker 1: know they always say that's a big no, no, I
- 11:25Speaker 1: don't propose at someone else's wedding, just wait.
- 11:28Speaker 2: But the sister wanted this to be a thing.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Then she went ahead and helped do whatever she could
- 11:34Speaker 1: to make it happen. And of course the story's blown
- 11:36Speaker 1: up and it will be picked up everywhere, and it's
- 11:38Speaker 1: just very adorable.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I like that.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Did you ever have a dream that you know, you
- 11:44Speaker 1: woke up and it made you go out and either
- 11:46Speaker 1: A make it happen or b try to turn it
- 11:49Speaker 1: into a reality? Seven oh one two eight zero one
- 11:53Speaker 1: nine eight seven. We want to hear about your dreams
- 11:56Speaker 1: this morning, Alyssa, What dream did you turn into a reality?
- 12:00Speaker 4: I used to sit in my childhood bedroom and draw
- 12:02Speaker 4: outfits on notebook paper, like full fashion sketches, and people
- 12:06Speaker 4: said it was a hobby. But now I'm literally out
- 12:08Speaker 4: here selling custom prom dresses on Instagram.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Right, that's so great? What an awesome story? Really motivating
- 12:15Speaker 2: on a Tuesday?
- 12:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I think The only one I can
- 12:19Speaker 5: think of is that my dream was to be on
- 12:22Speaker 5: air doing a morning show and I'm doing it.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Sure, when how did when did you kind of know?
- 12:28Speaker 5: I want a contest to co host for a girl
- 12:31Speaker 5: that like a girl went on maternity leave. And so
- 12:34Speaker 5: they were like, hey, if you guys whoever wants to
- 12:37Speaker 5: come and co host, send in a twenty second audition
- 12:42Speaker 5: as to why you would be a good co host.
- 12:44Speaker 5: And I did and I won, and I got to
- 12:49Speaker 5: go in there and co host with these guys. And
- 12:51Speaker 5: that's when I got bit by the bug. I was like,
- 12:53Speaker 5: I gotta do this. That is so it turns out
- 12:55Speaker 5: this is my dream.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the greatest one of the greatest starts someone's
- 13:00Speaker 1: job ever.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Hey I applied for this contest and got it.
- 13:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I still I really do be.
- 13:06Speaker 5: Pinching myself because what right, Like, how did it turn
- 13:10Speaker 5: into my full blown career?
- 13:12Speaker 6: That is crazy?
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that is a bit of a It's just you'd
- 13:14Speaker 1: ever hear things like that. Yeah, Brian, did you have
- 13:18Speaker 1: a dream he turned into a reality?
- 13:19Speaker 4: I actually dreamed I went with my family to this
- 13:22Speaker 4: cabin in the woods near this river. I don't know
- 13:25Speaker 4: where any of it came from.
- 13:27Speaker 3: But I use that imagery and the painting of mine,
- 13:29Speaker 3: and it came out pretty well.
- 13:31Speaker 4: I think, Oh, I.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Think that's super cool.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Yeah, it doesn't have to be a huge thing. But
- 13:35Speaker 5: now you've got a dope painting.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yeah, now there's art either on your house or office
- 13:39Speaker 1: or wherever, and it's you kind of came up with
- 13:41Speaker 1: that using your own memory or your own mind.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I think that's wonderful.
- 13:45Speaker 6: I like that.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Wait to go, Brian seven oh one two eight zero
- 13:48Speaker 1: one nine eight seven. Let us know if you kind
- 13:51Speaker 1: of like this bride that's gone viral, what is something
- 13:53Speaker 1: you dreamed about that you were like, you know, I
- 13:56Speaker 1: think that could be done in real life, in reality here, and.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I'm gonna go make it happen.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Let let's know if that's happened to you this morning,
- 14:07Speaker 1: what is something that it never fails for whatever reason,
- 14:11Speaker 1: there might be just a defect in your brain. Which
- 14:13Speaker 1: is something I say to myself a lot. You just
- 14:16Speaker 1: you leave it until last minute. You know you're gonna
- 14:19Speaker 1: do it, you don't want to do it, you're trying
- 14:21Speaker 1: not to do it, and it happens. Seven oh one
- 14:24Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven, Cynthia, what is
- 14:27Speaker 1: something you find yourself always leaving till last minute despite
- 14:31Speaker 1: your best efforts.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Laundry?
- 14:32Speaker 4: Every Sunday I have where I'm going to get ahead
- 14:35Speaker 4: of it, and then every Sunday night I'm digging through
- 14:37Speaker 4: the basket like I'm on an archaeological pig looking for
- 14:40Speaker 4: one piecent pair of sock.
- 14:41Speaker 1: That is one thousand percent to my exact answer. This
- 14:45Speaker 1: past weekend, I went to go visit a buddy of Minneapolis,
- 14:47Speaker 1: came back, of course, went and we got back almost
- 14:50Speaker 1: in time to watch the Mike's game. Like, oh, I
- 14:52Speaker 1: came back at like twelve fifty you had time. Of course,
- 14:56Speaker 1: I didn't start the dang laundry until about seven thirty
- 14:58Speaker 1: at night day even and I, well, I do stay
- 15:02Speaker 1: up later than I should. But it's not like I'm
- 15:03Speaker 1: up till one. It's not like I have five six
- 15:06Speaker 1: hours to do this stuff.
- 15:08Speaker 6: I'm over here judging you.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Except for for me, it's not laundry.
- 15:13Speaker 6: For me, it's packing.
- 15:15Speaker 5: It does not It does not matter the length of
- 15:19Speaker 5: the trip, how much time I know I had, Like
- 15:22Speaker 5: I cannot pack in a timely manner.
- 15:25Speaker 6: I never can.
- 15:26Speaker 5: So if the trip is for a weekend, I think, okay, cool,
- 15:29Speaker 5: I'll pack the morning of. And then if the trip
- 15:33Speaker 5: is for a week, I think, cool, I'll pack the
- 15:36Speaker 5: morning of. I always pretend I'm gonna do it, and
- 15:40Speaker 5: then then I'll be like, Okay, I'm gonna at least
- 15:42Speaker 5: start the night before. And then I start and I
- 15:46Speaker 5: get tye tight, I get tired, and then I think
- 15:49Speaker 5: I could just.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Do this tomorrow morning.
- 15:51Speaker 5: I'm the worst, and I never learned my lesson because
- 15:53Speaker 5: it's not like it goes well.
- 15:55Speaker 6: It's not like I'm I always forget.
- 15:57Speaker 5: I'm never it's not like I keep procrastinating because I
- 16:01Speaker 5: always come out on top.
- 16:02Speaker 6: No I don't, No, I don't, And yet I will
- 16:05Speaker 6: not change the behavior to the line.
- 16:09Speaker 7: I end up taking care of it when it's the
- 16:10Speaker 7: worst it's been in a while. The grass is overgrown,
- 16:13Speaker 7: the bushes are like super huge. I should stay on
- 16:16Speaker 7: top of it more because it's always a huge pain
- 16:19Speaker 7: when I have to do all that work at once.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah that was Tyler the lawn. See that was the
- 16:24Speaker 1: one that I I don't have to do the grass anymore.
- 16:27Speaker 1: But when I got when I mowed my own lawn, Yeah,
- 16:30Speaker 1: I loved cutting that grass.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Almost.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I almost was like a twice a week er mowing
- 16:35Speaker 1: the lawn, which I don't think is probably really good
- 16:37Speaker 1: for it, But I just that's my favorite chore. Seven
- 16:39Speaker 1: oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven. Do
- 16:42Speaker 1: you have something, no matter what it is. Maybe it's
- 16:45Speaker 1: your homework, maybe a little Timmy's trying to scribble down
- 16:48Speaker 1: a B C, D E FG on his homework on
- 16:50Speaker 1: the bus right now.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Oh my god, starting off the day with so something good.
- 17:00Speaker 3: This is Gabe's good news. On BID ninety eight point seven.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Over the weekend Pike's Peak Habitat for Humanity, they gave
- 17:10Speaker 1: a new home to an Army veteran, Willie Bell and
- 17:14Speaker 1: his partner, Barbara. The organization says this marks the sixth
- 17:18Speaker 1: military family to receive a home built through their local program,
- 17:21Speaker 1: Hamilton Barbara. She expressed deep gratitude, saying she felt blessed
- 17:27Speaker 1: and finally at home. Each Habitat for Humanity house requires
- 17:31Speaker 1: about three thousand volunteer hours to complete, and the organization
- 17:36Speaker 1: that veterans and service members transitioning to civilian life often
- 17:40Speaker 1: help with the building, which gives them opportunities to learn
- 17:43Speaker 1: carpentry and electrical work skills that could be useful for
- 17:47Speaker 1: both gaining employment and just maintaining the home in general.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Before getting their new home, Willie and Barbara they had
- 17:54Speaker 1: been living in an area.
- 17:55Speaker 2: They described as you know, unsafe.
- 17:57Speaker 1: There's kind of a lot of crime, and their previous
- 18:00Speaker 1: didn't have air conditioning either, which is a risk for
- 18:03Speaker 1: Willie due to multiple health conditions. He has lived in
- 18:06Speaker 1: the area since he was first stationed at Fort Carson
- 18:10Speaker 1: in the eighties, and he added that as father and brother,
- 18:13Speaker 1: they also served in the military. It is it is
- 18:16Speaker 1: Veterans Day today, so if you see a veteran, just
- 18:19Speaker 1: a big reminder, you know, thank them for what they've
- 18:22Speaker 1: done for us to be able to go to work
- 18:24Speaker 1: every day or go to school every day, or whatever
- 18:26Speaker 1: the case may be, fighting for those freedom. So Happy
