- 0:54Speaker 5: To your citizens, we have a movie meltdown.
- 0:57Speaker 6: You want to ride behind somebody who does something like that?
- 0:58Speaker 7: I'm going to pull around them and leave them safely
- 1:01Speaker 7: behind us.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Burn some dust here.
- 1:04Speaker 7: Eat my rubber.
- 1:09Speaker 8: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I am Misty. I'm Jay.
- 1:16Speaker 8: Jay is driving right now.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I'm going to talk loud.
- 1:18Speaker 8: Because we are on the road. We are on the road.
- 1:21Speaker 8: We are on the road again, and we are back
- 1:23Speaker 8: on the highway.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Go for it.
- 1:27Speaker 5: No.
- 1:27Speaker 6: No.
- 1:29Speaker 5: Fine.
- 1:31Speaker 8: So yes, we are back.
- 1:32Speaker 1: No, you're stuck in my head.
- 1:35Speaker 2: And no, I'm not going to sing it.
- 1:37Speaker 8: Fine.
- 1:39Speaker 6: But yes, back on the road. This time we're heading
- 1:41Speaker 6: up to Indianapolis for Days of the Dead.
- 1:44Speaker 8: It's the first time we've been to this one, so
- 1:46Speaker 8: it will be interesting to see what they have put together.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Convention, or are we just now slacking?
- 1:51Speaker 6: As far as I know, I have not seen anything
- 1:53Speaker 6: on it before, so this might be their first year,
- 1:55Speaker 6: but it seems interesting. They've got a lineup of people,
- 2:00Speaker 6: some of which I've not seen at conventions before, as
- 2:03Speaker 6: many as we have.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And what is their website?
- 2:07Speaker 8: You tell me.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Daysofthedead.net. I had to look it up before we left
- 2:11Speaker 1: the house.
- 2:12Speaker 8: Just double-checking. fact-checking. Don't want to throw it out there wrong.
- 2:16Speaker 1: com and.
- 2:17Speaker 8: Net' s mixed in.
- 2:18Speaker 6: A lot of crazy websites.
- 2:20Speaker 8: Now there's, like,. tv, you know. You can... I'm trying
- 2:25Speaker 8: to think what it is. There's, like, a whole new
- 2:27Speaker 8: thing that they've opened up now that you can buy. like,
- 2:29Speaker 8: whatever you want. It costs a lot more, but, like,
- 2:32Speaker 8: there's all these new.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Avenues they keep opening up because we've filled up so
- 2:35Speaker 6: much of the internet at this point with random crap
- 2:38Speaker 6: and porn.
- 2:39Speaker 2: So, you know.
- 2:40Speaker 1: They're gonna show the pictures of cute kittens.
- 2:43Speaker 8: And porn. Oh, yeah. And Foamy. Do we want to
- 2:46Speaker 8: have a rant on Foamy for a few minutes?
- 2:47Speaker 1: I don't know. It's pretty awesome. I spent a good
- 2:49Speaker 1: portion of, well, I don't know how long, watching Foamy
- 2:53Speaker 1: the Squirrel videos. I was entertained beyond words.
- 2:59Speaker 6: If you're not familiar with it, yes, Foamy the Squirrel
- 3:01Speaker 6: is pretty awesome. And I think we've decided to kind
- 3:05Speaker 6: of see if.
- 3:05Speaker 8: She wore a squirrel.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 3:08Speaker 7: What?
- 3:08Speaker 8: Foamy is awesome.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yeah, foamy is awesome. But yeah, the only reason I
- 3:13Speaker 1: found it, because I was trying to find an example
- 3:14Speaker 1: with the supervisor I had that day, was like, because
- 3:16Speaker 1: he was very squirrely and twitchy. He was not at
- 3:18Speaker 1: all some, like, foamy and squirrely. He was just very odd.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Maybe very uncomfortable. Very frightened by booty at some point.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I don't remember the context, but it still made me uncomfortable.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Get your booty out of here.
- 3:29Speaker 8: That's inappropriate.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't like it. Especially when you're twitchy. It'd
- 3:32Speaker 1: be one thing if he was a hot guy, but
- 3:34Speaker 1: I still look booty. Yeah, it still made me uncomfortable.
- 3:38Speaker 6: In traditional workplaces, that's uncalled for. If you're like where
- 3:41Speaker 6: Marlena works, you know, that's like the nicest thing you've
- 3:44Speaker 6: heard of.
- 3:46Speaker 1: It was twitchy when he.
- 3:46Speaker 7: Said it, too.
- 3:47Speaker 1: That made it even worse. Get your booty out of here.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I was twitching if you missed it.
- 3:52Speaker 8: Oh, the visual. Twitchy, twitchy. It's kind of the twist,
- 3:56Speaker 8: but whatever.
- 3:57Speaker 1: It's hard to twitch when you're in a car. Alright,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I'm done.
- 4:02Speaker 6: Alright, well that sort of crossed over into our internet
- 4:05Speaker 6: geek activities, so we'll go ahead and roll on into that.
- 4:09Speaker 6: So yeah, aside from watching at least three of the
- 4:11Speaker 6: ranting foamy videos.
- 4:15Speaker 1: There was a deflated deer back there. It was flat.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Its insides were outsides.
- 4:23Speaker 7: Oh.
- 4:25Speaker 8: I don't know what to do with that.
- 4:27Speaker 2: You got creeped out by dead animals. Maybe you are
- 4:29Speaker 2: sitting there laughing about them.
- 4:30Speaker 8: That's kind of what I was thinking.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Deflated deers are funny. I don't know why. Everything else
- 4:35Speaker 1: creeps me out. And I'm not like I'm in contact
- 4:38Speaker 1: with it. I didn't like have to go look at it.
- 4:40Speaker 8: We just saw it passing.
- 4:42Speaker 1: There's one on the way home that's like completely flat.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Except for its head.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It looks like a deflated balloon.
- 4:50Speaker 8: You're easily amused. as long as they're dead.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Far away. You got a deer skull creeps you out. Hey,
- 4:57Speaker 2: you know what? I'm going to go start your hipster tattoo.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Hey, you brought it up.
- 5:01Speaker 8: You started it.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Hipster tattoo. It's not.
- 5:07Speaker 8: Aside from my.
- 5:09Speaker 6: I was thinking that, yeah, I don't have a ton
- 5:11Speaker 6: of movies, but I did spend a ridiculous amount of
- 5:14Speaker 6: time yesterday watching Animals or Dicks, or what.
- 5:19Speaker 8: Is it called?
- 5:19Speaker 1: Animals Being Dicks.
- 5:20Speaker 8: Animals Being Dicks. Which, yeah, that... We all watched that.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Independently. Well, not all independently. Me and Jay watched
- 5:27Speaker 1: it together, separately of you.
- 5:28Speaker 8: Because I posted it on there.
- 5:31Speaker 6: But, yeah, it's... I don't even remember what led me.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Somebody might have just linked one of the individual videos,
- 5:37Speaker 6: and then I went to the website, and it's not
- 5:40Speaker 6: a fancy website, and I can't say anything because neither
- 5:42Speaker 6: is ours, but it's not a fancy website.
- 5:44Speaker 8: The video quality on it, not great, but.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It's like cell phone quality video.
- 5:49Speaker 8: God damn, those videos are fun.
- 5:51Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 5:52Speaker 8: So, yeah, just animals being dicks. It's completely accurate.
- 5:56Speaker 6: And, yeah, just when you thought, you know, I say
- 6:00Speaker 6: all the time humans are terrible. But, yeah, and you
- 6:04Speaker 6: think that that evil that's inside of us is just,
- 6:07Speaker 6: you know, sort of innate within human beings.
- 6:09Speaker 8: But, no, then you watch, like, a bird shove a
- 6:12Speaker 8: turtle off a countertop.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Into the garbage can. Poor turtle.
- 6:16Speaker 8: And then, like, what was it?
- 6:17Speaker 2: She didn't get raped by Jack Russell.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah, what? I fucking hate Jack Russell Terriers. I've always
- 6:22Speaker 1: hated Jack Russell Terriers. My sister had a Jack Russell Terrier,
- 6:24Speaker 1: and his name was Ruby, and I hated that dog,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and I kicked it on multiple occasions.
- 6:29Speaker 8: Until it was flat.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Yes.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I hated that dog. Only good Jack Russell Terriers who
- 6:34Speaker 1: don't only have three legs. Because animals are always cuter
- 6:37Speaker 1: when they only have three legs.
- 6:39Speaker 8: That's true. Any dog with three legs.
- 6:41Speaker 1: What was that one dog that had two legs? That
- 6:43Speaker 1: dog was awesome.
- 6:44Speaker 6: That dog was awesome, actually. Actually, I've seen two different kinds.
- 6:47Speaker 6: I've seen one that was back two legs, and he
- 6:49Speaker 6: walked up right.
- 6:50Speaker 8: Yeah, I've seen that.
- 6:50Speaker 1: That one was awesome.
- 6:51Speaker 8: And then there was one front and one back, but
- 6:53Speaker 8: they were opposite of each other, so that one could run.
- 6:55Speaker 8: That one was amazing.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I saw that one, too, yeah. Well, no, the one
- 6:58Speaker 1: I saw had it both on one side, so I'd
- 6:59Speaker 1: be afraid it would tip over.
- 7:00Speaker 8: Yeah, that would be much harder.
- 7:02Speaker 6: The one I saw was one opposite front and back,
- 7:04Speaker 6: so that one could run like a normal dog.
- 7:06Speaker 8: It was crazy. Couldn't stand, but he could run like
- 7:10Speaker 8: no one's business.
- 7:10Speaker 1: That momentum carries him, I guess.
- 7:14Speaker 8: Oh, so yeah. Lots of animals being dicks yesterday, which
- 7:19Speaker 8: doesn't take very long.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I don't think anybody should purposefully remove a limb from
- 7:23Speaker 1: a dog or any animal just to make them cuter.
- 7:26Speaker 8: It's going to make it cuter.
- 7:28Speaker 9: No, no, no.
- 7:29Speaker 1: The Jack Russell Terry that I was aware of that
- 7:31Speaker 1: only had three legs was bitten by a spider and
- 7:33Speaker 1: it lost its leg that way. It was not intentionally
- 7:36Speaker 1: removed just for the sake of being cute. I don't
- 7:39Speaker 1: want anybody to think that I'm suggesting that you cut
- 7:41Speaker 1: legs off of animals.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 7:43Speaker 8: I can't believe she said that.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Oh, this is a Jack Russell. Go ahead and cut
- 7:50Speaker 1: their lights off.
- 7:50Speaker 2: They're ugly anyways. Yeah, nobody likes those.
- 7:53Speaker 8: So, let's see. Aside from that, yeah, that's what I
- 7:56Speaker 8: was telling them earlier. I have it. Just about everything
- 7:59Speaker 8: I've watched lately I've brought up on the last preview shows.
- 8:02Speaker 9: Look at that. These fucking kayaks can be stuffed in
- 8:06Speaker 9: a damn truck.
- 8:07Speaker 2: They have a lot of kayakers.
- 8:09Speaker 1: 12 of them.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah, really.
- 8:11Speaker 8: It's a whole boatload of people.
- 8:13Speaker 10: Literally.
- 8:14Speaker 2: He's just really finicky. Maybe I'll take the purple kayak.
- 8:17Speaker 8: I might want the orange one, though. I don't know.
- 8:20Speaker 2: It's like swatches.
- 8:24Speaker 8: I never know what mood I'll be in when I
- 8:26Speaker 8: want to go kayaking.
- 8:29Speaker 6: Oh, Lord.
- 8:30Speaker 8: So, yeah.
- 8:31Speaker 1: All the souvenirs from Kayak or She's Killed the Longest River. Yeah, maybe.
- 8:34Speaker 2: That's what it is. The River Killer.
- 8:37Speaker 1: The Kayak Killer.
- 8:40Speaker 8: But, yeah, other than that, I haven't watched a.
- 8:42Speaker 6: Well, everything I've watched has been specifically for the show,
- 8:45Speaker 6: one of which we're going to talk about later. Two
- 8:49Speaker 6: or three of the other ones were stuff I was
- 8:50Speaker 6: sort of prepping for today's show, and we're going to
- 8:53Speaker 6: end up talking about down the road, so... Yeah, of
- 8:56Speaker 6: stuff I haven't... It's not going to come up later.
- 8:58Speaker 2: I don't really have a whole lot.
- 8:59Speaker 6: So I was trying to think. The only other thing
- 9:01Speaker 6: I've been watching lately... And I don't think I brought
- 9:05Speaker 6: this up. I think Greg brought it up a long
- 9:06Speaker 6: time ago. I am working my way through the guild.
- 9:09Speaker 1: It's Felicia Day, and she's so cute for a gender.
- 9:13Speaker 8: See, that's the thing. Once again, people can't call us
- 9:15Speaker 8: out because I think Felicia Day is ridiculously cute, adorable.
- 9:20Speaker 1: She's cute, but she doesn't cross over into hot or trashy.
- 9:23Speaker 1: She's exclusively cute.
- 9:24Speaker 11: Hot or trashy.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Boy, there's some girls that are hot, and there's some
- 9:28Speaker 1: girls that are, like, hot, trashy, sexy. She doesn't cross
- 9:32Speaker 1: that line. She's just too cute.
- 9:33Speaker 8: Yeah, she is adorable.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Hot, trashy, sexy.
- 9:37Speaker 6: I don't think she wants to be trashy. She could
- 9:40Speaker 6: probably be hot if she, like, hot-headed herself up.
- 9:43Speaker 1: She was ridiculously cute in Dr. Horrible's sing-along vlog, though.
- 9:46Speaker 8: Yeah, she was.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I haven't watched The Guild.
- 9:49Speaker 8: The Guild's pretty damn entertaining, that's the thing.
- 9:51Speaker 6: I mean, being as geek-centric as we are here, I mean,
- 9:55Speaker 6: it's nothing but built around people who play, I don't
- 9:59Speaker 6: even think they've call it World of Warcraft, but yeah,
- 10:02Speaker 6: it's an online gaming guild.
- 10:05Speaker 8: And, like, it's them on their little dorky adventures, you know,
- 10:08Speaker 8: which basically... It's so.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Funny because it's all about them normally having these adventures
- 10:13Speaker 6: sitting there with the headset on, but.
- 10:15Speaker 8: What?
- 10:16Speaker 1: Here's another flat animal. Like, ridiculously flat. Like, I couldn't
- 10:21Speaker 1: even tell what kind of animal it was anymore.
- 10:24Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 10:24Speaker 2: It was way fucking.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It was kind of an ovular shape, like in a
- 10:29Speaker 1: pattern on the ground. There was no distinguishable features. Like
- 10:32Speaker 1: a cartoon. Yeah, like it got rid of her by
- 10:34Speaker 1: a steamroller. Yeah.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Anything else, Dad?
- 10:39Speaker 1: We've seen several dead animals. That one just struck me
- 10:42Speaker 1: as odd because it didn't have any distinguished features. I
- 10:44Speaker 1: had no idea what it was.
- 10:45Speaker 8: Road trip.
- 10:48Speaker 1: It's on a road trip, damn it.
- 10:49Speaker 8: This is definitely road trip material here. So, but yeah,
- 10:53Speaker 8: this is the.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I got letters from PETA for talking about dead animals.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I didn't run over any animals. Except for that bird
- 11:00Speaker 1: that one time, but he was asking for it.
- 11:03Speaker 6: I already said we totally support the ASPCA and... whatever
- 11:07Speaker 6: the other Humane Society or any of those, after I
- 11:11Speaker 6: ripped off their video and made that promo for it.
- 11:14Speaker 6: I was like, okay, I'm making fun of the person
- 11:16Speaker 6: that does this commercial because they're kind of seem like
- 11:19Speaker 6: a douchebag rock star.
- 11:21Speaker 8: But yeah, not the organization.
- 11:23Speaker 6: I actually like what they're doing and it's actually legitimately
- 11:26Speaker 6: sad what they're trying to stop. So yeah, I think
- 11:30Speaker 6: we fall on the good side of animals. We like
- 11:33Speaker 6: cuter animals being dicks. Just not flattened.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm not happy that the animals are dead. They're already dead.
- 11:40Speaker 1: It's not like I killed them. I'm just pointing out
- 11:42Speaker 1: the fact that they're flat. And I'm a horrible person.
- 11:46Speaker 8: Well, we know that.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Alright.
- 11:48Speaker 8: So, okay. But yeah, the guild's pretty damn entertaining. It's
- 11:51Speaker 8: them when they actually end up crossing over into the
- 11:53Speaker 8: real world and having their little dorky adventures. And it's
- 11:57Speaker 8: pretty entertaining. It's not very long, which that's the sad part,
- 12:00Speaker 8: is how.
- 12:02Speaker 6: far I'm into it because the seasons are like a
- 12:05Speaker 6: little more than an hour half the time because it
- 12:07Speaker 6: started as a web series and I think it.
- 12:09Speaker 8: Still initially comes out that way but.
- 12:12Speaker 6: It's pretty entertaining I have to say a good portion
- 12:15Speaker 6: of it goes to Felicia Day she's just so damn
- 12:17Speaker 6: likable but the rest of the cast is like frighteningly
- 12:20Speaker 6: accurate I'm assuming.
- 12:22Speaker 8: I don't play a lot of internet gaming.
- 12:23Speaker 6: But I'm assuming I know my dorks because I am
- 12:26Speaker 6: one and I certainly feel like this is.
- 12:28Speaker 8: A very realistic group of dorks that they've crossed over.
- 12:32Speaker 6: Into Especially when they meet the evil dorks. The ones
- 12:35Speaker 6: that are like their nemesis group. That's led by Wil Wheaton.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It's pretty awesome.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I love Wil Wheaton.
- 12:43Speaker 8: It's pretty awesome.
- 12:48Speaker 6: They're the bad guild. They're the top guild in the game.
- 12:53Speaker 6: They're there to be jackasses. And they are jackasses, by
- 12:55Speaker 6: the way.
- 12:56Speaker 8: So yeah, that's pretty much... About all I've been watching
- 12:59Speaker 8: that wasn't stuff that's going to come up later. So,
- 13:01Speaker 8: I guess I can hand it on off to Misty.
- 13:04Speaker 8: What have you been watching?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Oh, I watched a shitload of stuff. Well, only a
- 13:08Speaker 1: couple things I watched by myself, so I'll talk about
- 13:10Speaker 1: those first, and then we'll get into what me and
- 13:11Speaker 1: Jay watched together. I watched the first two seasons of Justified,
- 13:14Speaker 1: and oh my god damn, I am in love with
- 13:16Speaker 1: that show. That show is fantastic. I loved it with
- 13:19Speaker 1: the elephants.
- 13:19Speaker 2: It takes place in Kentucky!
- 13:21Speaker 1: Well, it's supposed to take place in Kentucky.
- 13:23Speaker 8: It doesn't really.
- 13:24Speaker 1: It does not at all. But I love that show.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I love the guy. Who plays Boyd. He's fucking nuts.
- 13:29Speaker 1: I can't remember the guy's name. But he's fucking nuts.
- 13:32Speaker 1: And I love him. I love the whole damn show.
- 13:33Speaker 1: That show is just fucking fine. I'm trying to get
- 13:35Speaker 1: Jay to watch it. Because of my thing with Timothy Oliphant.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I can't get him to sit down and watch it
- 13:38Speaker 1: with me.
- 13:39Speaker 2: No, it's not that.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I just.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I don't want to watch a TV show about Kentucky.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I've lived in Kentucky.
- 13:44Speaker 1: But it's not really in Kentucky.
- 13:46Speaker 2: It's the same thing.
- 13:48Speaker 1: It's awesome, damn it.
- 13:50Speaker 6: It's a very different part than you live in.
- 13:52Speaker 8: That's something.
- 13:54Speaker 2: It's like the Daily Post. Going's about at Bullitt County, so,
- 13:56Speaker 2: you know.
- 13:57Speaker 1: But it's Timothy Olyphant, and he's shooting people.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 14:00Speaker 9: Maybe I'll watch it, but I have too many other
- 14:03Speaker 9: shows on my list of things to watch that I
- 14:05Speaker 9: never get around to watch.
- 14:06Speaker 1: But this one's awesome.
- 14:08Speaker 2: My other ones are awesome as well.
- 14:10Speaker 1: How do you know they're awesome as this?
- 14:11Speaker 2: They are.
- 14:12Speaker 1: You don't know.
- 14:13Speaker 7: I know.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I do. No, you don't.
- 14:14Speaker 2: That's what I do.
- 14:15Speaker 8: No, you don't.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Ever. All right, and then other than that, I watched
- 14:21Speaker 1: The Ward with Amber Heard, because she's awesome. and I
- 14:26Speaker 1: can't say too much about this movie because then I'll
- 14:28Speaker 1: ruin it because it's so much like another movie that
- 14:30Speaker 1: if I compare it everybody's going to know how it
- 14:32Speaker 1: ends and I ruined a lot of movies.
- 14:35Speaker 6: And I think we should probably talk about this one
- 14:38Speaker 6: maybe sort of in the future so we'll.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Just leave it at that I watched The Ward and
- 14:42Speaker 1: it was pretty good I liked it awesome then me
- 14:45Speaker 1: and Jay watched a shitload of movies watched The Warrior's
- 14:49Speaker 1: Way you know how about The Warrior's.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Way you liked it yeah I liked it it was
- 14:53Speaker 2: okay It was good.
- 14:54Speaker 1: That's your full review.
- 14:55Speaker 9: That's okay.
- 14:56Speaker 2: That's my full fucking review. I liked it. It was okay.
- 14:59Speaker 8: No, yeah, it was good.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It had the whole kind of kung fu feel to it,
- 15:03Speaker 2: you know. Man fleeing from China. Well, he's fleeing from Japan, but.
- 15:07Speaker 1: It wasn't about a warrior. He's raised and brought up
- 15:10Speaker 1: to be a warrior, and his whole job was to
- 15:11Speaker 1: kill off this other... Clan. Clan.
- 15:14Speaker 8: But it gets to the point where.
- 15:16Speaker 1: The guy tells him to kill this baby. The baby's
- 15:18Speaker 1: the last one of this clan left, and he can't
- 15:21Speaker 1: do it. So he takes the baby, and he moves to...
- 15:23Speaker 1: america yeah he moves to this town that's kind of
- 15:26Speaker 1: like an old like west town it looks like marlena
- 15:29Speaker 1: would live there yeah it's like a circus sideshow town
- 15:32Speaker 1: it's like they.
- 15:33Speaker 9: They're trying to make it into i guess like some
- 15:35Speaker 9: kind of carnival town they.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Have a ferris wheel and it's like everybody they're like
- 15:40Speaker 1: almost everybody they're like some kind of circus freak of
- 15:42Speaker 1: some variety they're not like pinheads or anything they're just
- 15:45Speaker 1: like They're performers. Yeah.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Fire breathers or whatever, you.
- 15:49Speaker 8: Know, jugglers.
- 15:49Speaker 1: And it's pretty awesome. And then it's like, he has
- 15:51Speaker 1: to deal with, there's this band of like other.
- 15:54Speaker 8: Banditos.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Like, yeah, a guy who apparently killed this girl's family
- 15:58Speaker 1: and he's managed to piss him off. So he's got
- 16:01Speaker 1: them coming. Plus the, the, the warrior that hired him to,
- 16:05Speaker 1: or told him to kill the other clan. He's pissed off.
- 16:07Speaker 1: So he's coming too. So he's got this band of.
- 16:10Speaker 1: cowboys and this band of indians not indians where the
- 16:14Speaker 1: fuck did indians come from yeah okay.
- 16:17Speaker 9: There's no indians in this film because that would be
- 16:19Speaker 9: politically incorrect and there are no banditos in this film
- 16:22Speaker 9: because that would be politically incorrect instead we have roving
- 16:26Speaker 9: band of ex-civil war soldier type jackasses you just want
- 16:32Speaker 9: to go around and rape people.
- 16:34Speaker 2: But yeah, that's about what it is.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's got them and ninjas. And the ninja clan
- 16:39Speaker 1: shows up around the same time. So it's the ex-war
- 16:43Speaker 1: people looking and then the ninjas and they're all fighting.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So there's all kinds of shit going on.
- 16:47Speaker 9: And then all in the middle of that, he's busy
- 16:48Speaker 9: trying to figure out how to fall in love with
- 16:50Speaker 9: this girl.
- 16:51Speaker 1: And I hate that girl. It's that one Kate, is
- 16:54Speaker 1: her name Kate Bosworth?
- 16:55Speaker 9: If anybody could make a live action character of Jessie
- 16:59Speaker 9: from Toy Story, that's pretty much her.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Kind of.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Yeah. She's Jessie from Toy Story.
- 17:04Speaker 1: She needed to eat a sandwich. Well, howdy, y'all. Dude, seriously,
- 17:07Speaker 1: her really bad accent.
- 17:09Speaker 9: It was.
- 17:10Speaker 1: How was it? Howdy, y'all.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it was pretty bad.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Kate Bosworth with a, yeah, it was horrible, her accent. Yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 1: she was horrible. She needs to eat a sandwich. But, yeah,
- 17:22Speaker 1: that was entertaining. And we watched... We watched the Eclipse,
- 17:26Speaker 1: Twilight Eclipse, with the Riff Trax, which is the only
- 17:29Speaker 1: way to watch Twilight movies, because it's the only thing
- 17:31Speaker 1: that makes them tolerable.
- 17:32Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 17:32Speaker 2: It's the only way I will watch them.
- 17:35Speaker 1: It was just horrible. I can't even think of a
- 17:38Speaker 1: word to describe how bad this movie was. It was
- 17:40Speaker 1: just pointless. and stupid he's got i want to shoot.
- 17:44Speaker 2: A 14 year old's wet dream pretty much.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It's edward oh whatever that other guy's name jacob.
- 17:51Speaker 12: Jacob god oh which one do i want.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Which one does she choose that the abusive stalker creepy
- 17:59Speaker 1: one that the pasty boy yeah the one who's always
- 18:02Speaker 1: like following her what one she's telling her who she
- 18:04Speaker 1: can be friends with i'm like what a dick dude
- 18:06Speaker 1: seriously don't tell me.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't understand how she could resist the power of...
- 18:11Speaker 2: Jacob's abs? Jacob's abs.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Dude, seriously.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Dude, if I could have abs like that.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Dude, if you could have abs like that, we'd never
- 18:18Speaker 1: leave the house.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I had abs like that at one point.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I don't think you did.
- 18:22Speaker 2: I did.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Not like that.
- 18:23Speaker 2: A long time ago. A long, long time ago.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You need a time machine. But anyways, yeah, the movie
- 18:30Speaker 1: was just, ugh, drug on. And they changed Victoria. It's
- 18:34Speaker 1: not the chick from Big Wolf on Campus anymore. It's,
- 18:37Speaker 1: what's her name? The Dallas Bryce, Bryce Dallas Howard, whatever the.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Fuck her name is.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Yeah. Anyways, and I didn't like her in this movie.
- 18:45Speaker 1: There's no point for her to be in this movie.
- 18:47Speaker 9: The only thing I've got a problem with is, like,
- 18:48Speaker 9: you know, as far as changing the whole vampire mythos,
- 18:51Speaker 9: since when do vampires fall apart like fucking porcelain? What
- 18:55Speaker 9: the hell's up with that shit?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Yeah, punch them when they shatter like a damn toilet. Yeah, no, really.
- 18:58Speaker 9: How come they don't shatter while they're running? They're flexible,
- 19:01Speaker 9: but you fucking punch them and then they break.
- 19:04Speaker 2: They're fragile.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Yeah, fuck that.
- 19:07Speaker 8: When you're sparkly, you're fragile.
- 19:09Speaker 2: I guess.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 19:10Speaker 9: What the hell is all of that? That and for
- 19:13Speaker 9: some reason the werewolves apparently can't kill them. They can
- 19:16Speaker 9: knock them around a little bit. They can't fucking kill them.
- 19:20Speaker 9: I thought it was stupid.
- 19:21Speaker 2: It takes the other vampires to shatter them. Oh, the
- 19:25Speaker 2: other funny thing was, what's that other guy's name? Jasper?
- 19:28Speaker 1: Jasper!
- 19:30Speaker 6: You know?
- 19:30Speaker 1: It's so sad that I know that.
- 19:31Speaker 13: He talks all normal, and then they have this flashback,
- 19:34Speaker 13: back when he was in the Civil War, and then
- 19:36Speaker 13: he starts all of a sudden talking with a Southern accent,
- 19:40Speaker 13: but then it kind of gets garbled at certain points.
- 19:42Speaker 2: But it's like, all of a sudden, he's remembered, hey,
- 19:44Speaker 2: I talk Southern, you know?
- 19:46Speaker 1: The fuck did that come from?
- 19:47Speaker 8: You're a man of many accents today, sir.
- 19:50Speaker 14: You got your Western accent. You got your Southern accent.
- 19:54Speaker 14: You're a chock full of them today. Are there any
- 20:00Speaker 14: accents in any other movies we watched?
- 20:02Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, I don't know.
- 20:04Speaker 8: Let's just do random ones. Scottish, go!
- 20:06Speaker 2: Scottish, I don't know Scottish. I could do it, but
- 20:09Speaker 2: then that probably wouldn't sound right.
- 20:11Speaker 1: But your other ones sounded perfect. I don't know.
- 20:14Speaker 8: All right, what else?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Should we talk about what else we watched? Oh, Priest.
- 20:21Speaker 1: We watched Priest.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Priest I liked.
- 20:24Speaker 1: They did more Black Hat. Yeah. Needed more Carl Ehrman.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Needed a little bit less Paul Bettany.
- 20:29Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 20:29Speaker 1: He's weird looking.
- 20:30Speaker 9: Which, by the way, how the fuck did Phil Collins
- 20:34Speaker 9: come out with a hot daughter?
- 20:36Speaker 1: Dude, I have no fucking clue, but his daughter, Lily Collins. Beautiful.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I know. Her mom must be hot.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I don't know. Was she?
- 20:43Speaker 1: I don't think she was either.
- 20:44Speaker 8: That's the thing.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I mean, I looked it up, but yeah, she's not
- 20:46Speaker 1: hot either. I don't know. Maybe they adopted her. Maybe
- 20:48Speaker 1: they stole her. Maybe they bought her with all this
- 20:50Speaker 1: Genesis money.
- 20:51Speaker 7: I guess.
- 20:51Speaker 15: I don't know.
- 20:52Speaker 2: It's Phil fucking Collins. I mean, it's not actually.
- 20:54Speaker 9: Maybe he's got some hidden hot gene somewhere that's.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Just kind of.
- 20:58Speaker 8: Deeply, deeply hidden. Deeply rooted.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Yeah, hidden hot gene.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:01Speaker 7: What?
- 21:01Speaker 8: You don't think he's hot? I mean, looking back, that's
- 21:04Speaker 8: Susudio hair. I mean, look at.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Does he ever have hair?
- 21:09Speaker 8: I don't think so.
- 21:10Speaker 6: I think he was, like, 20 and had that one little, like,
- 21:14Speaker 6: little tough thing.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that little tough thing.
- 21:16Speaker 9: That's the bad thing is, like, okay, she's kind of semi-famous,
- 21:20Speaker 9: I guess. She's an actress, so she's going to have
- 21:22Speaker 9: a little bit of money to at least stay in shape. Granted,
- 21:26Speaker 9: in the real world where the rest of us real
- 21:28Speaker 9: people live, if she was just a normal person, she
- 21:32Speaker 9: would be hot throughout high school, but then slowly she
- 21:34Speaker 9: would start turning into Phil Collins because that's what most people...
- 21:37Speaker 9: most girls that I've seen do, but have, like, completely
- 21:40Speaker 9: fugly dads, you know, and then they turn out hot
- 21:43Speaker 9: through high school, and you're like, damn, that girl's hot,
- 21:45Speaker 9: and then you see her, like, ten years later, after
- 21:47Speaker 9: you graduated high school, and she's like, doesn't give a,
- 21:51Speaker 9: you know, fucking piss about you, and then you see
- 21:53Speaker 9: her working at fucking BP, and she's working in the.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Deli, and she's like, hi, you remember me?
- 21:59Speaker 1: And her accent.
- 22:00Speaker 2: You're like, oh, god, yeah, I remember you, you were hot. Like,
- 22:05Speaker 2: job of the hood.
- 22:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Yeah, see? She's got money. She'll still be hot. She
- 22:10Speaker 2: won't turn out like Phil Collins, hopefully.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I was surprised there was a brief cameo in there,
- 22:15Speaker 1: but I can't say her name right, but Madchenamik?
- 22:19Speaker 8: Madchenamik?
- 22:21Speaker 1: Yeah. The chick from Twin Peaks. Shelly, Leo's wife. Who
- 22:26Speaker 1: is she?
- 22:26Speaker 2: Who did she play?
- 22:27Speaker 1: She was the mother of Lily Collins.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right. She was in there
- 22:32Speaker 2: for a very short period. Enough to get killed.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, you never ruined it. It wouldn't be this time.
- 22:37Speaker 8: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 22:37Speaker 1: It happens at the beginning of the movie. You're not
- 22:39Speaker 1: really missing anything.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not like you're going to go, oh, I
- 22:41Speaker 2: don't want. You know it's going to happen.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Yeah, there's not enough Carl Urban in this movie. That's
- 22:48Speaker 1: about all I can say about it.
- 22:49Speaker 8: I mean.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I like his motorcycle. That's cool. I want a futuristic
- 22:52Speaker 2: motorcycle like that.
- 22:54Speaker 8: Build it, dude.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I will.
- 22:55Speaker 2: I'll build the fuck out of it. I don't even
- 22:57Speaker 2: know what the hell it runs on. It runs on cool.
- 23:01Speaker 1: It runs on wishes and rainbows.
- 23:03Speaker 2: And ponies.
- 23:06Speaker 8: And ponies. Back to more animal killing.
- 23:10Speaker 1: No!
- 23:12Speaker 8: How do you fuel it with ponies then?
- 23:16Speaker 1: You fuel it with pony poop. Poop out rainbows and
- 23:19Speaker 1: then you put it.
- 23:20Speaker 8: In your motorcycle.
- 23:22Speaker 10: Duh.
- 23:23Speaker 8: Duh indeed.
- 23:25Speaker 1: But yeah, I think it was tolerable. I hadn't heard
- 23:27Speaker 1: too much bad shit about it. I heard that it sucked.
- 23:29Speaker 1: There's so many different things, like, thrown together. But as
- 23:32Speaker 1: long as you're not expecting too much and you just
- 23:33Speaker 1: kind of enjoy it for what it is.
- 23:34Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I didn't think it was bad.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I mean, I like the idea of it.
- 23:38Speaker 9: You know, I like the idea that, you know, maybe
- 23:40Speaker 9: the church does have some kind of fucking militant monk sect,
- 23:43Speaker 9: kind of like Buddhists do. But they don't. They're just
- 23:47Speaker 9: not that cool, I guess.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 23:50Speaker 2: You know, whatever. It's still cool, the idea, though.
- 23:52Speaker 9: Yeah. That and the church just completely turns their back
- 23:56Speaker 9: on them and they turn into that church state where
- 23:58Speaker 9: the church tells you what.
- 23:59Speaker 2: To do and, you know, all that other crap. I
- 24:03Speaker 2: have no point.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Are we done with the priest?
- 24:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we're done.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Hey, hey, hey.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Real quick. One more thing I forgot. Accent? No, no, no, no.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Party geek week. Yeah, we did. I'm a birthday. We're
- 24:14Speaker 2: not done yet.
- 24:15Speaker 1: We still have a list.
- 24:15Speaker 7: No, no, no, no, no.
- 24:17Speaker 9: But I'm a birthday. We went and saw the midnight
- 24:21Speaker 9: showing of Spaceballs.
- 24:24Speaker 8: Which... With your kid.
- 24:26Speaker 2: With my kid. With at one point.
- 24:28Speaker 9: I thought was completely fucking hilarious, and then I went
- 24:31Speaker 9: back and watched it.
- 24:31Speaker 2: It's still pretty funny, but not as funny as it
- 24:34Speaker 2: was when.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I first saw it. Not as funny as the bitch
- 24:35Speaker 1: cackling behind me made it out to be.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 24:37Speaker 9: It was so bad, even my kid was going, shut up.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I mean, I'm serious. People have annoying laughs sometimes, but
- 24:44Speaker 1: this bitch had to sit right behind me, and it
- 24:46Speaker 1: was like... Oh, yeah.
- 24:46Speaker 7: The whole fucking movie.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Come the desert, I get it.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it was between her.
- 24:56Speaker 2: At the beginning of the film, there was a guy
- 24:57Speaker 2: that sat down and he was like.
- 24:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:00Speaker 1: The whole time before the movie started.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Oh my God, this guy's going to fucking kill me.
- 25:04Speaker 1: He was the epitome of all fat movie geeks that
- 25:07Speaker 1: you hate. Who lives in his mom's basement and never
- 25:10Speaker 1: makes it out. I think he was wearing sweatpants. Maybe
- 25:13Speaker 1: some Velcro shoes. I'm not even sure. He was talking
- 25:16Speaker 1: to these people and they were six teats down.
- 25:18Speaker 2: He was the uber geek that knew everything about every
- 25:21Speaker 2: movie and... Oh, you mean... actually, you know, and you're like, oh, dude,
- 25:25Speaker 2: I'm going to slap this guy beside the fucking head.
- 25:28Speaker 2: But he laughed. Everything he said was funny.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I thought, however, I'd kick his ass when the movie started.
- 25:33Speaker 1: But by the time the movie started, nothing. I didn't
- 25:35Speaker 1: hear anything from him.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Yeah, no.
- 25:36Speaker 1: It was the cackling bitch.
- 25:37Speaker 2: The bitch behind us started.
- 25:39Speaker 9: But it was nice to see a midnight showing where
- 25:41Speaker 9: other people brought their kids. Because it was my daughter's
- 25:44Speaker 9: first midnight showing of kind of a little bit of
- 25:47Speaker 9: a cult movie. She loved the hell.
- 25:50Speaker 7: Out of it.
- 25:50Speaker 9: First time she'd ever seen Spaceballs. She enjoyed it. Thoroughly
- 25:54Speaker 9: enjoyed it. Plus, she kind of dug the idea of
- 25:56Speaker 9: hanging out at midnight. You know, and not having to
- 25:59Speaker 9: go to bed.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Because she was like.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I pooped on her parade and wouldn't let you buy
- 26:02Speaker 1: her any popcorn. Because we just fucking had cake.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. So, whatever.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Don't eat popcorn if you just fucking had cake.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I know. You saved me probably $ 20.
- 26:10Speaker 9: Because really, popcorn is fucking ridiculous in the movies.
- 26:15Speaker 2: They rip the fuck out of you.
- 26:17Speaker 8: That's where they make their money?
- 26:18Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 26:18Speaker 2: That's stupid.
- 26:20Speaker 9: Now they're charging too much money for this shit. Now
- 26:22Speaker 9: they're going to charge you more money for popcorn? I'm
- 26:24Speaker 9: sneaking my shit in.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Fuck you guys.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Are you done with it?
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm done with it.
- 26:29Speaker 6: Just for my two cents, yeah, I thought Spaceballs was
- 26:32Speaker 6: sort of the turning point for Mel Brooks. I mean,
- 26:36Speaker 6: it's like he, like his old stuff is genius, but
- 26:39Speaker 6: Spaceballs was the first one that kind of started to
- 26:41Speaker 6: feel like the Zucker movies. You know, when you had like,
- 26:44Speaker 6: it was sort of doing like it's taking a movie
- 26:46Speaker 6: that we all know pretty well, or even a genre
- 26:49Speaker 6: that we all know pretty well, and then just kind
- 26:51Speaker 6: of doing rip-offs of other scenes from other movies, which
- 26:54Speaker 6: is what I hate in those kind of movies now,
- 26:56Speaker 6: where you go back and look at, like, you know,
- 26:58Speaker 6: Lazy Saddles, it's like, that's making fun of the whole
- 27:01Speaker 6: idea of westerns, and the tropes of westerns, but it
- 27:04Speaker 6: doesn't really rip off specific scenes from other movies. And
- 27:08Speaker 6: that was the dividing line with Mel Brooks, where he
- 27:10Speaker 6: started to get lazy, I don't know, I mean, I
- 27:12Speaker 6: like Spaceball's a lot there are fun scenes in it
- 27:15Speaker 6: but it's the first one I saw that seems like
- 27:18Speaker 6: he starts like dialing it back and just sort of
- 27:20Speaker 6: making fun of other stuff in pop culture and other
- 27:23Speaker 6: movies and then you look at like Robin Hood Man
- 27:25Speaker 6: in Tights totally does that so yeah to me he
- 27:28Speaker 6: started going downhill right at that sort of that jump
- 27:31Speaker 6: to shark moment for him of going downhill on his movie.
- 27:34Speaker 6: But I do like Robin Hood Men in Tights.
- 27:37Speaker 8: It's the same thing. It's got good scenes, but it's
- 27:39Speaker 8: totally just like completely and utterly making fun of the
- 27:42Speaker 8: Kevin Costner movie.
- 27:43Speaker 6: It's ripping off specific scenes out of other movies that
- 27:46Speaker 6: were popular at the time. And his old movies didn't
- 27:48Speaker 6: do that. I mean, you go back and look at stuff.
- 27:50Speaker 6: It's like it would make fun of High Anxiety. It's
- 27:53Speaker 6: making fun of all of the Hitchcock stuff, but it's
- 27:56Speaker 6: only once or twice they do specific little.
- 27:59Speaker 8: things it's like usually it's making.
- 28:01Speaker 6: Fun of the whole genre silent movie same thing the
- 28:03Speaker 6: whole thing but it's not like totally ripping off other
- 28:06Speaker 6: people's movies which now what all those.
- 28:09Speaker 16: Lazy you know epic movies and date movies scary movie
- 28:13Speaker 16: it's like they all do that and it's so there's
- 28:15Speaker 16: no originality to it at all so it's like that
- 28:18Speaker 16: was kind of yeah when i look back it's kind
- 28:21Speaker 16: of sad Because he started going down that road.
- 28:23Speaker 6: Because I think he was better than that. And probably
- 28:25Speaker 6: still is. He's still kind of a genius. But that
- 28:28Speaker 6: was just a turning.
- 28:29Speaker 8: Point for me in his movie.
- 28:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:31Speaker 2: I mean, I liked it because it had Cary Elwes.
- 28:35Speaker 8: Yeah, Cary Elwes.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Cary Elwes. Man can do no wrong in my eyes.
- 28:39Speaker 2: He's a great actor. Just in my opinion. And Crush
- 28:41Speaker 2: was awesome. Probably other people think he sucks. I love Crush. Yeah,
- 28:45Speaker 2: I love Crush.
- 28:46Speaker 9: Love the fuck out of Princess Bride. One of my
- 28:48Speaker 9: favorite fucking movies. Which actually got me hired at the
- 28:52Speaker 9: Suncoast that you worked at for a day.
- 28:55Speaker 2: And then I quit. I went through the training and
- 28:59Speaker 2: was like, you know what?
- 28:59Speaker 9: I can't handle being a retail because I'll tell people
- 29:02Speaker 9: to fuck off.
- 29:03Speaker 8: You know?
- 29:04Speaker 2: So then I just quit. I quit before I ended
- 29:06Speaker 2: up having to kill anybody.
- 29:07Speaker 6: Yeah, that's... Last episode we went into how some of
- 29:11Speaker 6: those weird people used to come in and you had
- 29:13Speaker 6: to sort of put up with them even when you
- 29:15Speaker 6: think they're just total idiots.
- 29:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:17Speaker 8: Yeah, so this... You would not have done well with
- 29:20Speaker 8: people like Jeffrey.
- 29:21Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 29:22Speaker 2: No, I would have set people on fire. Yeah.
- 29:24Speaker 8: I was one step away. That's why I got the
- 29:26Speaker 8: hell out.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Oh, well.
- 29:30Speaker 2: What else did we do? What else did we watch?
- 29:32Speaker 1: We watched The Mechanic. Mechanic.
- 29:34Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:36Speaker 9: I guess it depends on your version of what you
- 29:38Speaker 9: want to watch.
- 29:39Speaker 3: I mean.
- 29:40Speaker 9: you know, it's okay. It's like, take every Jason Statham movie.
- 29:44Speaker 9: Water it down.
- 29:45Speaker 2: And you've got the mechanic.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Take all the fun stuff. He didn't drive a car
- 29:48Speaker 1: that much.
- 29:48Speaker 2: No cars. He didn't fight that much. He didn't fight
- 29:50Speaker 2: hardly at all. He hardly ever had his shirt off. No.
- 29:53Speaker 2: So anybody who was wanting to watch it to see Jason...
- 29:55Speaker 2: Transporter 4.
- 29:56Speaker 9: Yeah, for his shirt off. Now, you don't get that.
- 29:58Speaker 9: So sorry, ladies and guys. You don't get that. You
- 30:02Speaker 9: just get him nursing this.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Ben Foster.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Ben Foster useless.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Just.
- 30:08Speaker 2: He's fucking useless. And he doesn't listen.
- 30:10Speaker 9: And he almost gets ass raped because he's a fucking asshole.
- 30:14Speaker 9: You know, he told them, don't fuck with this guy.
- 30:16Speaker 9: This guy will fuck you up.
- 30:18Speaker 2: And what does he do?
- 30:18Speaker 1: And he will fuck you.
- 30:19Speaker 2: And he doesn't listen.
- 30:20Speaker 9: And this guy really, literally fucks him up. He's fucked
- 30:23Speaker 9: up the most in the movie. Hey, you should have
- 30:25Speaker 9: listened to your, always listened to your teacher.
- 30:27Speaker 17: Yoda?
- 30:28Speaker 2: You don't question Yoda. You don't question those guys. You
- 30:30Speaker 2: don't question, uh.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Are you comparing Jason Statham to Yoda?
- 30:33Speaker 2: No, not really.
- 30:34Speaker 8: But you know what I mean.
- 30:35Speaker 6: At any point did Ben Foster climb on the back
- 30:38Speaker 6: of Jason Statham.
- 30:38Speaker 8: In a little backpack and run around together?
- 30:41Speaker 2: No, he ran the other way around.
- 30:42Speaker 8: Ha ha ha.
- 30:43Speaker 9: But either way, yeah, he just doesn't listen to them, really. But,
- 30:46Speaker 9: I mean, the only enjoyable part of it was it
- 30:49Speaker 9: had the old man.
- 30:50Speaker 2: What's his name? Ah, the old guy. I like the
- 30:53Speaker 2: movies that he's been in when he was younger, but
- 30:55Speaker 2: I can't think of his name. Whatever. If you've seen
- 30:59Speaker 2: the film, you know who it is.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Oh, it's Donald Sutherland.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Donald Sutherland. Yeah, I like Donald Sutherland.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Took me a second.
- 31:05Speaker 8: I got it.
- 31:05Speaker 7: He's good.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Because I remember talking about, like, at least he's not
- 31:08Speaker 1: naked in it.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 31:09Speaker 17: Not really.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Because he was old.
- 31:11Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Nobody wants old man falling junk.
- 31:13Speaker 2: That's gross.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Any more else to say about The Mechanic?
- 31:17Speaker 2: No, not really.
- 31:18Speaker 9: Yeah, watch it if you want to see a mediocre
- 31:21Speaker 9: assassin movie.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Very mediocre. Very mediocre. Yeah, I was kind of disappointed.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Speaking of disappointments, watch The Expendables.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Oh, my good God.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:33Speaker 9: That was written by Sylvester Stallone, right?
- 31:37Speaker 8: He wrote the screenplay.
- 31:37Speaker 2: He wrote the screenplay. He had to, because it reeks
- 31:40Speaker 2: of Sylvester Stallone one-liners.
- 31:42Speaker 9: Everybody's got one-liners in this movie, and they all fucking suck.
- 31:49Speaker 2: You know, they're all sitting around, and he's sitting there going, Oh,
- 31:51Speaker 2: this is going to be good.
- 31:53Speaker 3: You know?
- 31:53Speaker 2: Listen to this one.
- 31:55Speaker 1: That sounds totally off. It is.
- 31:58Speaker 2: I've had too much coffee, so I can't concentrate on
- 32:00Speaker 2: my accents. And I'm driving.
- 32:03Speaker 1: You need to do a Dolph Lundgren Impressionation thing?
- 32:05Speaker 7: No, but.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I love Dolph Lundgren. Dolph Lundgren was the best point
- 32:07Speaker 1: of this entire fucking movie.
- 32:08Speaker 12: Yeah, and you know, I got pissed off that they
- 32:11Speaker 12: fucking take, you know, Jet Li, probably one of the guys,
- 32:15Speaker 12: the one guy who could probably kick everybody else's ass,
- 32:17Speaker 12: with maybe the exception of Jason Statham, and they make
- 32:19Speaker 12: him a complete bitch.
- 32:21Speaker 1: All he does the entire fucking movie is complain.
- 32:24Speaker 2: And complain and whine. And bitch. And complain and whine.
- 32:27Speaker 8: I'm short.
- 32:28Speaker 1: I need more money.
- 32:29Speaker 8: I'm short.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I have to work harder than you.
- 32:30Speaker 16: Yeah, you know.
- 32:31Speaker 1: That's all he does the entire movie. I'm shorter. I'm smaller.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I have to do more work to be even. I
- 32:36Speaker 1: need more money.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Doesn't make any sense. Yeah.
- 32:40Speaker 9: Secretly, I think it was Sylvester Stallone. He probably doesn't
- 32:43Speaker 9: like Jet Li. So he wrote this kind of whiny
- 32:46Speaker 9: ass bitch part for him.
- 32:48Speaker 2: It's kind of a... You know.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Kind of.
- 32:51Speaker 9: You know, we're all big manly men and you're the
- 32:53Speaker 9: little bitch that sits there and cries and shit.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Even though Jet Li probably kicked your ass. You know.
- 32:59Speaker 2: And who else was that? Why wasn't The Rock in it?
- 33:01Speaker 2: Why was not The Rock in it? You know why?
- 33:04Speaker 2: You know why? Because The Rock would have fucking stolen
- 33:06Speaker 2: the show because The Rock's fucking awesome. He would have actually.
- 33:09Speaker 2: He is fucking funnier than shit. I love The Rock.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I forget who else was in this. I mean,
- 33:13Speaker 1: it had Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, it had a brief
- 33:16Speaker 1: cameo by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Oh, God. Gently.
- 33:19Speaker 2: It was like... It was a plastic surgery disaster, is
- 33:23Speaker 2: what it was.
- 33:23Speaker 9: Schwarzenegger shows up, and he's all plastic face, and.
- 33:29Speaker 8: Stallone.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Stallone?
- 33:30Speaker 2: What the fuck is up with Stallone? He must have
- 33:32Speaker 2: went to the same last year.
- 33:33Speaker 1: As Mickey Rourke. And then you get the master.
- 33:35Speaker 2: You get the master. Mickey Rourke. Yeah. What was he saying?
- 33:38Speaker 2: He said something, and I was just like, what the
- 33:39Speaker 2: fuck does that mean?
- 33:40Speaker 1: It was a story about the Korean girl that took
- 33:43Speaker 1: off a bridge, and if he had saved her, it
- 33:45Speaker 1: would have made up for all the people he had killed. No,
- 33:47Speaker 1: it wouldn't have.
- 33:48Speaker 2: He's still killing a bunch of people, dumbass.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Well, saving that one girl might have saved his soul.
- 33:53Speaker 1: It was saving his soul.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Saving his soul.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Saving that one girl would have saved his soul.
- 33:58Speaker 9: He tried to make him out to be some kind
- 33:59Speaker 9: of fucking zen master, monk, tattoo artist. And for some reason,
- 34:05Speaker 9: Stallone can only get, like, he got an outline of
- 34:07Speaker 9: the tattoo, and I think they shaded it in all
- 34:10Speaker 9: within a matter of, like, two seconds.
- 34:12Speaker 1: He didn't, like, wash it down. He didn't, like, put
- 34:14Speaker 1: any kind of ointment on it. He just fucking sat down. Yeah,
- 34:16Speaker 1: he just sat down. He didn't wash his hands. It's
- 34:18Speaker 1: very fucking unsanitary.
- 34:19Speaker 8: Is this in prison?
- 34:21Speaker 1: No, it's in a garage.
- 34:22Speaker 8: This is not how you do tattoos in the real world.
- 34:23Speaker 9: Yeah, he runs this garage slash tattoo parlor thing.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Slash hoochie magnet.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Slash, yeah, hoochie bar.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 34:32Speaker 9: But, yeah, they try to play him up as some
- 34:34Speaker 9: kind of old Zen master, and he comes up with
- 34:36Speaker 9: these philosophies that make absolutely no fucking sense whatsoever.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Mickey Rourke.
- 34:39Speaker 9: Well, it's Mickey Rourke. That and Stallone wrote all this
- 34:42Speaker 9: shit thinking it was going to be fucking gold, you know.
- 34:44Speaker 9: Some of his philosophy, you know.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Stick to Rambo. And Rock.
- 34:49Speaker 1: A brief cameo by Charisma Carpenter being absolutely pointless, high-pitched,
- 34:54Speaker 1: and annoying. I swear her voice, like, raised, like, ten
- 34:57Speaker 1: octaves in this voice. She's running around.
- 35:01Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I wanted to fucking slap her in her face. Her
- 35:04Speaker 1: only point in the movie was to prove that if
- 35:06Speaker 1: a guy fucking hits her, Jason Statham's going to go
- 35:08Speaker 1: beat his ass.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Which was pretty funny, because he did.
- 35:10Speaker 1: He beat his ass.
- 35:11Speaker 8: He beat his ass.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Well, play basketball. Yeah.
- 35:14Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 35:15Speaker 8: Charisma's hot. It's a shame that she's not getting better work.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, that movie.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Was a big disappointment. I knew to not expect much,
- 35:23Speaker 1: but holy shit, was I disappointed. It's like, I had
- 35:26Speaker 1: really low expectations before. that this movie took a shovel
- 35:30Speaker 1: and dug underneath my expectations and then crawled in that
- 35:33Speaker 1: hole where it was. Yeah, it was bad.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, it was bad.
- 35:37Speaker 9: All it was was basically just Stallone getting together, sitting
- 35:43Speaker 9: down going, you know, I want to make a movie
- 35:46Speaker 9: where we get to ride motorcycles and look cool.
- 35:51Speaker 2: And, oh, my God, everybody slam on their brakes. There's
- 35:53Speaker 2: a fucking cop. Holy fucking shit. Maybe he won't know.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Let's do 57 in a 70.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Who the fuck's up with that shit? Oh my god,
- 36:00Speaker 2: it's 70 miles an hour is the speed limit. Let's
- 36:02Speaker 2: drop down to 59.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Dumbass.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Anything else to say about the Expendables? No.
- 36:10Speaker 2: No, not really.
- 36:12Speaker 9: If you want to see a shitty ass fucking wannabe
- 36:14Speaker 9: action movie that's a ghost of what these guys used
- 36:20Speaker 9: to be, then yeah, you can go see that. otherwise
- 36:23Speaker 9: stick to fucking Predator and Rambo and, you know, all
- 36:27Speaker 9: the other good 80s action movies that had real action
- 36:30Speaker 9: stars in it, not plastic surgery.
- 36:33Speaker 1: We did watch some good action movies. We watched the
- 36:35Speaker 1: Bourne Trilogy.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, we did.
- 36:37Speaker 1: It was very action-y.
- 36:37Speaker 9: Which I actually liked that. I mean, I've seen the
- 36:40Speaker 9: first one. I saw it a long time ago when
- 36:42Speaker 9: it came out, and I loved the hell out of it.
- 36:44Speaker 9: I didn't know how I'd feel about Matt Damon.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Right after Good Will Hunting.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I was like, there's no way this guy could
- 36:49Speaker 2: play a fucking action guy.
- 36:51Speaker 7: Because.
- 36:52Speaker 9: Good Will Hunting, good movie, but I wanted to slap
- 36:54Speaker 9: him around in Good Will Hunting because he's kind of
- 36:55Speaker 9: a jackass. But that's okay because it still made a
- 36:58Speaker 9: good movie. But I was like, I don't know how
- 37:00Speaker 9: I'm going to see this guy as some kind of
- 37:01Speaker 9: fucking secret agent because he doesn't look like no damn
- 37:03Speaker 9: secret agent to me.
- 37:04Speaker 2: And that was pretty blown away. It was pretty good.
- 37:07Speaker 2: So we saw the other two. Yeah, the other two
- 37:10Speaker 2: were good.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Which we had to watch because I had to watch
- 37:12Speaker 1: the second one because it had Carl Urban in it
- 37:14Speaker 1: as the assassin. So I was like, that was the
- 37:16Speaker 1: whole part of her. That's why we watched the entire
- 37:19Speaker 1: trilogy so that I could watch the second one because
- 37:21Speaker 1: it had Carl Urban in it.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Carl Urban in it.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Is he dreamy? But they were all really good. I mean,
- 37:26Speaker 1: I had no major complaints about any of them. I
- 37:28Speaker 1: don't think. Except for Julia Stiles and her fat face.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Yeah, she doesn't like Julia Stiles.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Because it's so weird because she's skinny, but she has
- 37:35Speaker 1: this face like a fat girl. I'm telling you. It's
- 37:38Speaker 1: like little Twinkies or something. I don't know because she's
- 37:40Speaker 1: got this weird, freakishly round and kind of flat.
- 37:43Speaker 8: I don't understand.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Not that all fat people have flat faces. I don't understand.
- 37:47Speaker 1: But still, I'm just saying. She's got a weird face
- 37:50Speaker 1: and I don't like it.
- 37:51Speaker 9: But I've got to say, by the third movie, you
- 37:53Speaker 9: can definitely see how Matt Damon's kind of aged, and
- 37:58Speaker 9: he's not in the same shape he was in the first.
- 38:01Speaker 1: And second movie. He's still good, though.
- 38:02Speaker 2: He's still good. He still plays a believable role.
- 38:06Speaker 9: It, once again, reaffirms my idea that the government's constantly
- 38:10Speaker 9: out to fuck you and cover up shit and not
- 38:13Speaker 9: tell you about stuff that they're doing.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Because you know they are. They're not going to tell you.
- 38:17Speaker 2: You know?
- 38:18Speaker 9: My dad was in Vietnam. He told me about some
- 38:19Speaker 9: crazy-ass shit the government says, oh, we're not doing.
- 38:22Speaker 2: But yet he's like, really? Because we're doing it, you know?
- 38:26Speaker 2: But whatever.
- 38:27Speaker 8: That's how we operate.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Completely different, man. Any other movies?
- 38:29Speaker 8: Yeah, one more movie.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Oh, what are we?
- 38:31Speaker 1: We watched I Am, number four.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Oh, my good God. Your favorite movie.
- 38:35Speaker 1: I fucking hated this movie. I love the parts that
- 38:38Speaker 1: had Timothy Olyphant in it, because the way he looked
- 38:40Speaker 1: at that kid, like he wanted to beat the shit
- 38:42Speaker 1: out of him.
- 38:42Speaker 2: That was funny.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I could feel that.
- 38:44Speaker 2: I wanted him to beat the crap out of that
- 38:45Speaker 2: kid so bad.
- 38:46Speaker 1: That kid was a whiny little bitch. All he did
- 38:48Speaker 1: was say, I want to be a real boy. I
- 38:51Speaker 1: want to do everything. It's not my war. It's not
- 38:53Speaker 1: my fight.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Whiny little bitch.
- 38:55Speaker 2: You're a chosen motherfucker.
- 38:57Speaker 1: He's an alien. He's a fucking alien. He's got all
- 38:59Speaker 1: these fucking.
- 38:59Speaker 9: Powers, and you're going to sit and cry because you
- 39:02Speaker 9: don't want to fucking use your powers. You want to
- 39:04Speaker 9: be a normal teenage high school boy and have a girlfriend.
- 39:07Speaker 2: You know what? You know how bad I wanted superpowers
- 39:09Speaker 2: in fucking high school?
- 39:11Speaker 1: What do you mean in high school? You want them now.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Fuck yeah, I do.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Me too.
- 39:14Speaker 9: But yeah, he just whines and broods and cries throughout
- 39:18Speaker 9: the whole movie, and he's just all emo about shit.
- 39:21Speaker 1: And Timothy often plays his protector, which I'm like, dude.
- 39:24Speaker 2: And he doesn't listen to him. Of course.
- 39:26Speaker 8: I know what's better for me.
- 39:28Speaker 1: I know, you know.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Know me you know just like oh god shut up yeah.
- 39:34Speaker 1: The best part was timothy elephant timothy elephant and the
- 39:37Speaker 1: dog dog that was fucking awesome you remember the dog
- 39:43Speaker 1: He was a lizard first.
- 39:44Speaker 11: Oh, yeah.
- 39:44Speaker 1: And he was a dog. Yeah. And he turned into
- 39:46Speaker 1: a fucking monster.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Yeah, who was the chicken? Was it number three?
- 39:49Speaker 1: Number six.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Number six?
- 39:51Speaker 9: They should have made a movie called I Am Number Six.
- 39:53Speaker 9: Because all she did was kick the fucking ass about
- 39:55Speaker 9: the whole movie.
- 39:56Speaker 1: And she was awesome. Because her protector had already got killed.
- 39:58Speaker 1: So she's out there fucking kicking ass, taking names. Not
- 40:02Speaker 1: being a whiny bitch while this guy's just, oh, it's
- 40:05Speaker 1: not my fault. It's not fair.
- 40:06Speaker 8: Oh, my fucking God.
- 40:07Speaker 1: I wanted to beat the hell out of him. She
- 40:09Speaker 1: should have beat the hell out of him. She could, too.
- 40:12Speaker 2: A nerdy guy falls in love with her.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Of course.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Which I was rooting for the nerdy guy.
- 40:16Speaker 9: I was hoping, like, even though she was like, oh,
- 40:18Speaker 9: this guy's a wimpy, puny human, I was kind of
- 40:21Speaker 9: hoping they'd fall in love, you know?
- 40:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I like the nerdy guy. I'm like, it's kind
- 40:26Speaker 1: of annoying, though, because it's this nerdy guy. Apparently his
- 40:28Speaker 1: dad apparently got taken by aliens, like, a long time ago.
- 40:31Speaker 1: So apparently all this, I mean, this is his big secret.
- 40:34Speaker 1: This guy ain't supposed to tell anybody. Number four, he's
- 40:37Speaker 1: an alien. You don't tell people this shit. This is
- 40:38Speaker 1: top secrets. The nerdy guy asked him, like, one time, dude,
- 40:42Speaker 1: what are you? Oh, I'm an alien.
- 40:44Speaker 2: He's like, ooh, a lotus.
- 40:47Speaker 8: I'm like, what?
- 40:48Speaker 1: That's a secret. What the fuck are you doing? You're
- 40:50Speaker 1: just going around telling everybody.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, yeah, by the way, I'm an alien.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Oh, his dad was abducted by, it makes him okay.
- 40:56Speaker 1: You can tell him.
- 40:57Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Yeah, fuck that. Timothy Altham was the best part. He
- 41:01Speaker 1: was gorgeous. Well, he has a haircut.
- 41:04Speaker 2: He has a haircut.
- 41:06Speaker 1: He has long hair, and that's a point, too.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, I like how everybody freaks. That chick wants
- 41:10Speaker 2: to sleep with him.
- 41:11Speaker 9: She's all out in the ocean, and then his tattoo
- 41:13Speaker 9: starts glowing.
- 41:14Speaker 2: She's like, ew, you're.
- 41:14Speaker 8: Some kind of freak.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:17Speaker 9: You were just going to fuck him right out in
- 41:18Speaker 9: the ocean.
- 41:19Speaker 2: He's some kind of freak because he's got a glowing tattoo.
- 41:22Speaker 1: You can get those. You fucking slut. You can get
- 41:24Speaker 1: glowing tattoos in the dark. The black light glows. Maybe
- 41:27Speaker 1: you just black light.
- 41:28Speaker 2: I don't think I'd ever do that.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Get a glow-in-the-dark tattoo or fuck some chick in the ocean. Both.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I think that's about all we watched, isn't it?
- 41:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:38Speaker 8: I think.
- 41:40Speaker 1: That was all that was on my list of stuff
- 41:42Speaker 1: that I remembered. I'm sure there's other stuff.
- 41:43Speaker 2: I just can't remember it right now. Oh, who's that?
- 41:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think we watched anything. I got some
- 41:48Speaker 1: Sean Patrick Flannery CDs that are exclusive. They were only
- 41:50Speaker 1: released in Japan. You listened to the single. It was
- 41:53Speaker 1: pretty fantastic, wasn't it? Fantastic.
- 41:56Speaker 8: Fantastic.
- 41:58Speaker 1: In quotation and i'm pretty sure it was a van
- 42:00Speaker 1: morrison song that he covered not a cure song i
- 42:03Speaker 1: was right i was wrong it said that about big
- 42:05Speaker 1: girls or i.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Don't know a morrissey song yeah yeah what.
- 42:10Speaker 17: Was the name of the song uh big girls need
- 42:12Speaker 17: love too i don't remember uh some girls are bigger
- 42:16Speaker 17: than others yeah there you go yeah yeah but it's
- 42:18Speaker 17: very uh i listened to the sales i listened to
- 42:20Speaker 17: the single and it's pretty fantastic in its badness so
- 42:23Speaker 17: john patrick flannery honey if you're out there uh Get
- 42:26Speaker 17: away from music career, because.
- 42:27Speaker 2: It ain't working. Sorry.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Alright.
- 42:31Speaker 2: And any more plastic surgeries.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Yeah, no more Botox, honey bunny, because it ain't working either.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Your face moves anymore. But he's still gorgeous. Everyone wears
- 42:41Speaker 1: V-neck shirts.
- 42:43Speaker 9: Thanks.
- 42:43Speaker 2: I have that.
- 42:46Speaker 8: But now, while we're still at the front of the
- 42:48Speaker 8: show here, I was going to send a thank you out,
- 42:51Speaker 8: and this was one... You know, I've mentioned this over
- 42:54Speaker 8: the years.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Now, of.
- 42:56Speaker 6: how much financially, aside from mentally and spiritually, it takes
- 43:02Speaker 6: to put the show together.
- 43:03Speaker 8: As, you know, you do well. It breaks Misty on
- 43:06Speaker 8: many occasions.
- 43:07Speaker 6: But financially, if nothing else, it's damn impossible. And I
- 43:13Speaker 6: posted something going, yeah, they cut off our internet service
- 43:15Speaker 6: for a day or so, so I can't upload an episode.
- 43:18Speaker 8: So anyway, just saying, guys, if you'd like to contribute... So.
- 43:24Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, it's a fight keeping it on track
- 43:27Speaker 6: and between the hosting fees and website and having the
- 43:31Speaker 6: voicemail set up and, you know, all that stuff. It's
- 43:35Speaker 6: like all put together aside from also just being able
- 43:38Speaker 6: to have Internet to, you know, upload the thing.
- 43:40Speaker 8: It's like it's all a lot to deal with every month.
- 43:44Speaker 8: So I threw it out there.
- 43:45Speaker 6: I mean, I know some of the shows have actually
- 43:47Speaker 6: gotten people that, you know, the listeners can, set it
- 43:50Speaker 6: up on paypal to do a contribution that's.
- 43:52Speaker 8: Like a pretty small amount but you know five bucks.
- 43:55Speaker 6: A month that's not a whole lot but at the
- 43:58Speaker 6: same time you know it actually goes towards taking care
- 44:01Speaker 6: of stuff like that so i thought that was kind
- 44:04Speaker 6: of an interesting idea threw it out there and immediately
- 44:07Speaker 6: well one person no surprise decided they needed to contribute
- 44:11Speaker 6: to us.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Was it Randy?
- 44:14Speaker 8: Yes, it was Randy. Aw, I love Randy.
- 44:16Speaker 1: He's my second... Oh, he's my favorite listener. My second
- 44:18Speaker 1: favorite person.
- 44:19Speaker 6: He's my favorite person.
- 44:22Speaker 8: I was starting to say, I was like, if Jay,
- 44:23Speaker 8: if you're not the first, then I feel bad. It's like, Timmy,
- 44:28Speaker 8: a little fun. Then Randy. Jay, you're about seven.
- 44:32Speaker 1: If you have Carl Urban in there somewhere.
- 44:33Speaker 6: I know.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Patrick Flannery. That one random guy.
- 44:39Speaker 8: Yeah, I was kind of hoping that was the placement, but.
- 44:43Speaker 6: So, yeah, even though I specifically emailed him, I was like,
- 44:46Speaker 6: you already give us so much stuff. Stop, you know, at,
- 44:49Speaker 6: I don't know, but you know how Randy is. So,
- 44:52Speaker 6: he's very generous.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Randy's the best.
- 44:54Speaker 8: He's very generous, so thank you to Randy.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Randy's beef jerky saved me.
- 44:58Speaker 1: It damn near killed me, but that hurt his feelings.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I probably shouldn't have said that.
- 45:02Speaker 8: Beef jerky is an acquired taste.
- 45:05Speaker 1: I am a dinky girl, and I cannot fucking handle.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Any amount of any kind of spice. I put too
- 45:10Speaker 2: much pepper in the... fried rice yeah so.
- 45:15Speaker 1: I thought I was dying for days.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Yeah she thought she was dying for days but.
- 45:20Speaker 6: Yeah well that one didn't surprise me because he's done
- 45:24Speaker 6: it before that's what Randy does he's way too generous.
- 45:27Speaker 8: The one that caught me off guard is we got
- 45:29Speaker 8: another one and it.
- 45:31Speaker 19: Wasn't even we had more than one listener yeah that's
- 45:33Speaker 19: what I'm saying it wasn't even like again nobody's signed
- 45:36Speaker 19: up for the monthly idea I mean to me that's
- 45:38Speaker 19: relatively cheap and like a inexpensive way to sort of
- 45:43Speaker 19: support the show.
- 45:44Speaker 6: So, I mean, if you're up for that, email me,
- 45:46Speaker 6: I know you can set it up pretty easily. I mean,
- 45:48Speaker 6: we've got a PayPal set up already, but I think
- 45:50Speaker 6: you can do it that way relatively easy. But this
- 45:53Speaker 6: was just a, a random donation. And I was just like, wow,
- 45:57Speaker 6: like it caught me off guard from, from somebody that
- 45:59Speaker 6: I don't even know if I've talked to them. So
- 46:02Speaker 6: if I have, uh, uh, let me know, let me
- 46:05Speaker 6: make sure I know that maybe you have an, uh, internet.
- 46:08Speaker 8: Name that I'm not familiar with. But, um, If nothing else,
- 46:11Speaker 8: I wanted to send out a big thank you to Sophia,
- 46:13Speaker 8: who I believe lives in San Francisco.
- 46:16Speaker 1: What a pretty name. I like the name Sophia.
- 46:21Speaker 6: She donated towards the cause, so that's awesome. That really
- 46:27Speaker 6: caught me off guard. I was surprised, and it's helpful
- 46:32Speaker 6: every time. Anything we get is important, but That was
- 46:36Speaker 6: very generous, and thank you very much. So thank you
- 46:39Speaker 6: to Sophia, thank you to Randy, and anybody else who,
- 46:42Speaker 6: you know, again, it doesn't even have to be much.
- 46:44Speaker 8: But I like the idea of people keeping this going, you.
- 46:48Speaker 6: Know, because it's impossible to do, and I've been working
- 46:50Speaker 6: on trying to just throw some ads in there and
- 46:53Speaker 6: cover it that way, but, you know, I guess the
- 46:55Speaker 6: economy doesn't make that easy.
- 46:57Speaker 8: Not really. No, we've got a few things that kind
- 47:01Speaker 8: of help us out.
- 47:02Speaker 6: You know, the tweaked audio is good, but it's not
- 47:03Speaker 6: really a, Steady thing, it just kind of kicks in
- 47:06Speaker 6: when you guys make use of it. So definitely make
- 47:08Speaker 6: use of the tweaked audio meltdown code if you need headphones. But, yeah,
- 47:13Speaker 6: the other stuff, we're just trying to find ways to
- 47:15Speaker 6: sort of cover everything. I mean, we try to deliver
- 47:18Speaker 6: a lot of stuff, things like the road trips here
- 47:21Speaker 6: and all that stuff. So it's... factoring all that in
- 47:25Speaker 6: it gets kind of pricey so but i i love
- 47:28Speaker 6: doing it so that's why we keep bringing the show
- 47:30Speaker 6: to you every week but.
- 47:31Speaker 1: You know let me not do it so i don't
- 47:32Speaker 1: have a choice.
- 47:33Speaker 6: That's why i said i love it i didn't say
- 47:35Speaker 6: we love doing it i like driving misty's here at
- 47:38Speaker 6: gunpoint most weeks when she does the show seriously but i.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Don't care as long as i don't have to work.
- 47:44Speaker 6: That's what i'm saying i mean this is like my
- 47:47Speaker 6: i i think i mentioned this you know i was
- 47:49Speaker 6: talking to somebody last week and i was like this
- 47:51Speaker 6: is my favorite time of the week like this is
- 47:53Speaker 6: really the last week when we were recording at the
- 47:56Speaker 6: at the coffee shop and i was just like this
- 47:57Speaker 6: is the only fun i have all week i mean
- 47:59Speaker 6: i sat there for hours and we're not there well
- 48:02Speaker 6: that's because you didn't because you didn't bother to come
- 48:06Speaker 6: once again there wasn't a gun at your head so
- 48:08Speaker 6: you weren't there but again you're always invited to those But,
- 48:13Speaker 6: I mean, it's like that's, you know, I sat there
- 48:15Speaker 6: for hours and we, you know, drank coffee and talked
- 48:17Speaker 6: about movies and made fun of people and, you know,
- 48:20Speaker 6: that's what we do.
- 48:20Speaker 8: And it's, it was pretty damned enjoyable.
- 48:23Speaker 6: And I was like, that's, you know, that's what keeps
- 48:25Speaker 6: me coming back is I think it's fun, but I,
- 48:28Speaker 6: at least people are saying it's not just me.
- 48:31Speaker 8: It also seems to be fun for other people listening, hopefully.
- 48:34Speaker 6: So, yeah, I think, you know, what we do is
- 48:38Speaker 6: kind of, enjoyable and entertaining, hopefully. So I try to
- 48:42Speaker 6: keep it coming and keep it coming on a weekly basis. So,
- 48:46Speaker 6: I mean, that's sort of hard to do on a time, but,
- 48:49Speaker 6: you know, we stick with it. So if you would
- 48:51Speaker 6: like to contribute to the cause, I, again, big thank
- 48:55Speaker 6: you to Sophia and to Randy and anybody else who
- 48:57Speaker 6: wants to.
- 48:57Speaker 8: Come on board.
- 48:59Speaker 6: There is a link on our page or email me
- 49:01Speaker 6: and we can try to figure out a better way
- 49:03Speaker 6: to do it.
- 49:04Speaker 8: But, yeah, thank you very much to Sophia and Randy.
- 49:07Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Thank you. I could have given you the pennies I
- 49:10Speaker 1: found on the floor earlier.
- 49:11Speaker 8: They were tails down. You said we weren't supposed.
- 49:13Speaker 1: To use them. Bad luck. But if I give them
- 49:14Speaker 1: to you, then.
- 49:15Speaker 8: Thanks.
- 49:16Speaker 6: Because what I need is more bad luck.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I like dimes. I don't like pennies. Or nickels.
- 49:24Speaker 8: You like shiny things.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Huh?
- 49:26Speaker 8: Shiny things.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but I like dimes better than nickels.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Because they're shiny.
- 49:30Speaker 8: That's why I just said nickels.
- 49:31Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 49:31Speaker 1: I hate nickels.
- 49:32Speaker 8: Stupid.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Yeah, because they trick you. They're almost big enough to
- 49:36Speaker 2: be quarters. So I'm always like, ooh, a quarter. And
- 49:38Speaker 2: then I'm like, ah, fucking nickel.
- 49:41Speaker 1: It's bigger than a dime. I don't like that it's
- 49:43Speaker 1: bigger than a dime. Yeah, why is it bigger than
- 49:44Speaker 1: a dime?
- 49:45Speaker 2: Because it's a nickel.
- 49:46Speaker 8: Yeah, the dime totally throws it off.
- 49:47Speaker 6: Like penny, nickel, quarter, they all, you know, it's an
- 49:50Speaker 6: ascending value.
- 49:52Speaker 8: Dime fucks everything up.
- 49:53Speaker 1: But I like dimes. It's weird. Even though it's the
- 49:55Speaker 1: one that fucks everything up. Maybe I just like, see,
- 49:58Speaker 1: I just like dimes and quarters, get rid of nickels
- 50:00Speaker 1: and pennies, and we're all good.
- 50:02Speaker 2: Yeah. But then what are you going to throw in
- 50:04Speaker 2: when you're at the fountain? I don't want to throw
- 50:06Speaker 2: in a fucking quarter.
- 50:07Speaker 1: That's a quarter. That's like 25 wishes, though.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:13Speaker 1: I'll sit in breakfast. I'll sit down.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Do you want any fountains in the malls anymore? I
- 50:16Speaker 2: haven't been to a mall in a long time, so
- 50:18Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Isn't there a mall in St.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Matthews?
- 50:22Speaker 1: Or a water fountain.
- 50:23Speaker 6: They had one, but then they turned most of it
- 50:24Speaker 6: into a food court because that makes more money.
- 50:26Speaker 1: You know, what.
- 50:27Speaker 9: Happened to all the fountains? When I was a kid,
- 50:29Speaker 9: there was like Jefferson Mall. There was a fountain every
- 50:32Speaker 9: fucking five feet.
- 50:32Speaker 1: You get dumb bitches that are texting on their phone
- 50:34Speaker 1: to walk into it instead of the mall.
- 50:36Speaker 2: That's pretty funny. And they get online and cry about it.
- 50:40Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Now the fountain's gone.
- 50:42Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 50:43Speaker 1: Bye, fountain.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Fountain and carousels. There was a fucking carousel.
- 50:47Speaker 4: You remember.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Oh, you probably don't. There's still one in Jefferson Mall.
- 50:50Speaker 9: That.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Is there a carousel in the Jefferson Mall?
- 50:52Speaker 1: Isn't there a carousel in the Jefferson Mall? Yes.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Get out of here.
- 50:55Speaker 1: There is.
- 50:56Speaker 2: There used to be one in Bashford Manor Mall. And
- 50:58Speaker 2: there used to be these little islands that were in
- 51:01Speaker 2: the ground. And you walked down and sat there and
- 51:04Speaker 2: watched TV.
- 51:05Speaker 8: I remember those.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Back in the 70s.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Back in the 70s.
- 51:08Speaker 8: It was like a big hole in the middle.
- 51:11Speaker 9: All the old guys, while their wives were out shopping
- 51:14Speaker 9: and getting their nails done and getting their hair done
- 51:16Speaker 9: and stuff like that, they would sit down there and
- 51:17Speaker 9: either watch Price is Right or.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Whatever else was on at the time, I don't remember.
- 51:23Speaker 2: It wasn't worn yet, so I don't know.
- 51:25Speaker 6: It's just funny that it was sunken in. Like, it
- 51:27Speaker 6: was a bunker down there.
- 51:29Speaker 8: It didn't make any sense.
- 51:30Speaker 2: It's because all the men wanted to hide.
- 51:32Speaker 8: And they didn't.
- 51:33Speaker 1: It's all safer down there.
- 51:34Speaker 2: That's where they got away. I mean, yeah.
- 51:36Speaker 9: And they were probably allowed to smoke in there at
- 51:38Speaker 9: that time, if I remember correctly.
- 51:39Speaker 8: I'm sure it was.
- 51:40Speaker 1: There was a carousel in Jefferson Mall.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Oh, is there? I don't remember. I haven't been there
- 51:45Speaker 2: in a long time.
- 51:46Speaker 1: They have the carousel, and they have that weird bungee thing.
- 51:48Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Well, enough of this shit that probably nobody
- 51:50Speaker 2: will ever see. Whatever.
- 51:55Speaker 9: They probably have cool malls in all the other places,
- 51:57Speaker 9: except for.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Hey, baby, where's the Mall of America?
- 51:59Speaker 2: Okay, it's not in Canada. I'm sorry. You know, a
- 52:03Speaker 2: lot of the times I'm wrong, and I know this.
- 52:07Speaker 2: I'm right, maybe. 75 % of the time. You're being generous. Hey,
- 52:14Speaker 2: I was right four times one time.
- 52:16Speaker 8: All right. Remember?
- 52:16Speaker 1: He's keeping track. I am. Four times in four years.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Four times.
- 52:21Speaker 2: That's pretty good.
- 52:22Speaker 8: You'd have a stick cap going somewhere.
- 52:24Speaker 2: In my mind. What's left of it.
- 52:27Speaker 8: You should write that down.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Hopefully that's the only thing I can remember is how
- 52:31Speaker 2: many times I've been right.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Yeah. That's all.
- 52:35Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 52:36Speaker 1: All right.
- 52:36Speaker 6: On that note, we'll take a break and we'll come
- 52:38Speaker 6: back to you a little further down the road.
- 52:43Speaker 5: Some girls are bigger than others.
- 52:47Speaker 6: Some girls are bigger than others.
- 53:09Speaker 4: Drive away your worries and cares at this drive-in theater,
- 53:13Speaker 4: where you will see the finest motion pictures of all time,
- 53:16Speaker 4: soon to be released. Drama, comedy, adventure, excitement, something for everyone.

- 55:32Speaker 6: Some girls are.
- 55:33Speaker 8: Bigger than others Some girls are bigger.
- 55:35Speaker 11: Than others Some girls' mothers are bigger than other girls' mothers.
- 55:55Speaker 7: Whatever you want I'm open just don't ask about my
- 55:58Speaker 7: third eye and we're.
- 55:59Speaker 2: Good nevermind that's.
- 56:01Speaker 21: All I have damn we're here with Michael Kinworthy I
- 56:06Speaker 21: guess you can build some of your other big ones
- 56:09Speaker 21: but I'm still really impressed with the mad scientist box
- 56:12Speaker 21: art oh I love.
- 56:13Speaker 7: That I love that you remember the mad scientist toys
- 56:16Speaker 7: for years I did I worked for Mattel doing mad
- 56:18Speaker 7: scientist monster toys and it was great because it kind
- 56:21Speaker 7: of fell in the same genre of all the movies
- 56:23Speaker 7: I ended up doing which is like Eternal Living Dead
- 56:25Speaker 7: Part II and The Blob. I did this horror film
- 56:28Speaker 7: in Germany that never quite made it to the United States.
- 56:31Speaker 7: And throughout the years, I just did a bunch of
- 56:33Speaker 7: commercials and TV shows. And it ends up that after
- 56:36Speaker 7: all these years, it's the horror films that have lasted.
- 56:40Speaker 7: And then they have all these horror conventions now, and
- 56:42Speaker 7: everyone's like, please, come. We want to meet you. And
- 56:46Speaker 7: at first, I was a little apprehensive. I didn't think
- 56:48Speaker 7: anyone was going to show up, but it's quite the opposite.
- 56:51Speaker 7: Everyone's really happy to see me, which makes me feel
- 56:53Speaker 7: really nice.
- 56:54Speaker 4: That's really cool.
- 56:55Speaker 6: Is it something you got away from over the years?
- 56:59Speaker 6: I mean, I know you've still got degrees in acting, but.
- 57:03Speaker 8: Is it something.
- 57:04Speaker 7: Yeah, well, what happened is I was about 17 years old.
- 57:06Speaker 7: I started when I was 5, and it's all I'd
- 57:09Speaker 7: ever done for about 12 years. And then I was 17,
- 57:12Speaker 7: and they offered me the role that Brian Austin Green
- 57:15Speaker 7: took in Beverly Hills 90210. They offered me a 6-year contract...
- 57:20Speaker 7: And I said yes for about five weeks. And then
- 57:22Speaker 7: I had a change of heart. I was like, you
- 57:24Speaker 7: know what? This is all I've ever done. My friends
- 57:27Speaker 7: are going to college. Maybe I should take a small
- 57:29Speaker 7: break and just see what's out there. Well, Aaron Spelling
- 57:33Speaker 7: wasn't very happy with that. He got really, really mad
- 57:36Speaker 7: at me. Cursed at me like a sailor. Hung up
- 57:39Speaker 7: on me. Told me I never worked for him again
- 57:41Speaker 7: in this town. I was like, okay, maybe it is
- 57:44Speaker 7: time for me to take a break. You know, the
- 57:46Speaker 7: same agent I had since I was five years old
- 57:49Speaker 7: never spoke to me again. Ever. She wouldn't even call
- 57:52Speaker 7: Aaron Spelling for me. So I was like, okay, you know,
- 57:55Speaker 7: I need to take a break. You know, and a
- 57:56Speaker 7: lot of child actors didn't really turn out to be
- 57:59Speaker 7: great adults. And I knew quite a few of them,
- 58:01Speaker 7: and they weren't turning out so well. So I figured
- 58:04Speaker 7: I got to do something different, and I did. And
- 58:06Speaker 7: I was really glad. I went to school. You know,
- 58:08Speaker 7: I had some businesses. I had a really fun, good life.
- 58:12Speaker 7: And then I got involved in a really long-term relationship
- 58:16Speaker 7: And right when that ended, she had this ban on Facebook.
- 58:19Speaker 7: She wanted me on Facebook for some reason. I found
- 58:22Speaker 7: out why later. So I joined Facebook, and within a
- 58:25Speaker 7: couple weeks, all these people from all these conventions were like,
- 58:28Speaker 7: please come to these conventions. And I got like thousands
- 58:30Speaker 7: of people being like, hey, can I be your friend?
- 58:33Speaker 7: Oh my God. I'm like, really? It's been like 15 years.
- 58:38Speaker 7: Are you serious? That's nothing in convention time.
- 58:42Speaker 8: It's nothing.
- 58:43Speaker 7: I didn't know. So I was like caught by surprise.
- 58:46Speaker 7: And I thought to myself, okay, well, I didn't go
- 58:48Speaker 7: look for it. So I'm not a schmo. I'm not
- 58:50Speaker 7: some guy like trying to chase down some, you know,
- 58:53Speaker 7: celebrity rehab TV show or something. They came to me.
- 58:57Speaker 7: And then, you know, at first I ignored them thinking
- 58:59Speaker 7: they're bullshit. Once I found out they were for real...
- 59:02Speaker 7: I was like, I'll give it a try. So I
- 59:05Speaker 7: went to a convention and it blew my mind. I
- 59:08Speaker 7: couldn't believe it. I mean, people were like calling me
- 59:11Speaker 7: for where you're emailing me texting me for a week
- 59:13Speaker 7: saying you made my week i'm so happy to meet
- 59:16Speaker 7: you the guys that threw the first convention i went
- 59:18Speaker 7: to said that for an entire week their website was
- 59:22Speaker 7: all about me And they said they've been doing this
- 59:25Speaker 7: for like 15 years and it's never happened before. And
- 59:27Speaker 7: I was like, what? So, I mean, I guess part
- 59:31Speaker 7: of it I have to attribute to the fact that
- 59:33Speaker 7: I was like MIA for so long. That kind of
- 59:36Speaker 7: helped a little bit because had I been really available,
- 59:40Speaker 7: I would have seen it before or whatever, right? So
- 59:43Speaker 7: it was an honor to me. And I also didn't
- 59:46Speaker 7: feel like an actor anymore. Even though I was raised
- 59:48Speaker 7: an actor, I taught acting. Acting is in my blood.
- 59:50Speaker 7: It's in my family's blood. I felt like a normal person.
- 59:53Speaker 7: I've worked normal jobs, had a normal life. And so
- 59:56Speaker 7: when this all came back to me, it was like, wow,
- 59:59Speaker 7: it's like the ultimate residual check of all time. Because,
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: I mean, when you think about it, look at these.
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: I was prepubescent in my heyday. So here I am
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: dating these girls that were... way too old for me
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: to have, you know. Anyway, so. Yeah. Now I'm getting
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: to live it all over again and I'm old enough
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: to really, truly appreciate it.
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: It's a whole new world now.
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: And I really understand what a difference it can make
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: by giving someone some attention or just saying hi to
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: someone or talking to them on Facebook and it makes
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: you feel good. It's way better than the money. I mean,
- 1:00:35Speaker 7: the money's cool, but I mean, having the Dr. Phil
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: effect where you can make someone happy, that's just like,
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: I feel awesome.
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, the fans can be ridiculously appreciative, especially
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: horror fans.
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: Are so devoted.
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: They are. Well, it's funny, a few of them, they
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: showed me some pictures of themselves in high school, and
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: it all kind of made sense to me. I was like, oh,
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: you were that kid in high school.
- 1:00:59Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: No wonder why you're so happy to meet me.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: We're all sort of that kid, I think.
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm a big
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: geek and I'm a big nerd, but I didn't really
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: go to elementary school or high school, so I didn't
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: really have that experience. But I may have, had I.
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: I'm a super sci-fi, I'm a super horror fan. I
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: read a book a week. I'm nuts. I'm a total geek. And,
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: you know, I fix computers. I love that stuff. So,
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: you know, they are my people. I just, you know,
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: I didn't have teased out hair like this and glasses
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: that were from their aunt that they, you know, inherited.
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: It's not too late.
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: I mean, you can still pull that look off if
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: you want.
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: You got a good point there. But at the moment,
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: I'm just kind of in this mode where I'm in awe.
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: I can't believe it. I'm realizing that, I don't know,
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: maybe things come full circle in life.
- 1:01:49Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: And if they do, they... I'm going to have to
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: pay this back somehow. In some way, in my future,
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: the world's going to be like, pay it forward. We
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: just gave you this great gift of a, you know,
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: in fact, it's reunited my whole acting career. The first
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: convention I went to, I was offered all these new roles.
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: I didn't have to get an agent or anything. So
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: I was like, there's people out there going to audition
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: after audition after audition, and all I did was show
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: up at a convention, and I got three movie roles
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: and two TV roles. I'm like, okay, thank you, Lord, God,
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: whatever it may be, thank you.
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: It's all about connections, I see.
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: And I promise to pay it forward. If anyone's listening...
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: I will pay it forward some way in any way
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: I can. So that's kind of where I'm at right now,
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: and I'm loving it. I love meeting the people, and
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: I love hanging out here.
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: It's amazing that you're that appreciative, yeah, because a lot
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: of people, especially if it gets to a point where
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: they haven't done it in a while, they come back in.
- 1:02:45Speaker 8: It's a weird experience.
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: I've met several of them. I'm not going to mention
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: any names.
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: I have too.
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: But some of them, I almost want to say agoraphobic
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: or something. They're like, the fans are nuts. I can't
- 1:02:56Speaker 7: take it. I'm like, what are you talking about? They're
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: so happy to see you. Shake their hand.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Say hello.
- 1:03:01Speaker 7: They're like, no way. I'm not shaking their hand. Those
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: people are weird. They're like out of piercings and shit.
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: I'm like, so? I don't know. I can't understand why
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: someone wouldn't see this as the greatest gift you could get.
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: and that's the way I'm looking at it, and it's
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: really been fun.
- 1:03:16Speaker 8: It's a good perspective.
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: Right on, yeah. I'm really enjoying it.
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: In seeing, I mean, you were kind of revisiting other properties.
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: Had you seen, like, Return of the Living Dead, the
- 1:03:27Speaker 6: original one?
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, I saw them all, absolutely.
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: I mean, at that point when you were a kid?
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: Yes, in fact, Night of the Living Dead, the very,
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: very original one that spawned them all, is still to
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: this day one of the scariest movies I've ever seen.
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: Definitely.
- 1:03:38Speaker 7: Black and white and all, I mean, it is just
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: freaking scary. But I didn't really like the punk rock's
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: Return of the Dead number one, to tell you the truth.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: I mean, I kind of don't like any movie that
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: ends in nuclear explosion.
- 1:03:49Speaker 8: That's my favorite part.
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: I'm just sorry. I mean, that's just no way to
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: end a movie. What are we going to do? Nuclear explosion,
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: it's over.
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: Credits.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: But I'm from Louisville, so.
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: That's my favorite.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: Part of it.
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: Yeah, I hear you.
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: We do it in my town. Oh, okay, really?
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: I'm from Louisville.
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: That's awesome.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Oh, that's great.
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: In that case, that's really cool.
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: I remember sitting there watching that as a kid, and
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: it was on cable.
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: Wait, did they just say, I'm used.
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: To New York City and LA.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Yeah, but then it's your town.
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: My town. And years later, people would be like, oh, no,
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: they changed that. They dubbed in different cities. I was like, no.
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: No, that was my town, baby.
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: The guy that helped put that together was from Louisville,
- 1:04:27Speaker 6: and yeah, he worked in his own little hometown.
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: I thought that was so hilarious at the time.
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: I didn't catch that. That's really cool.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: And one of the things that really surprised me is
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: some of the fans came up to me and they
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: told me that they used to go in their backyard
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: and they used to play, you know, Jesse, the character
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: I played. Like Jesse versus, you know, the zombies. I'm like,
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: I played Cowboys and Indians and you played me against zombies? What?
- 1:04:50Speaker 7: How come I didn't know this? You know, it's amazing
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: what goes on that you don't know about until you
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: show up somewhere and you get feedback and you talk
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: to people.
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: Affecting people's lives.
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: Yeah. It's crazy. I never expected that. So, I mean,
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: that's awesome.
- 1:05:02Speaker 9: Definitely.
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: I mean, that's so awesome.
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: And then on the blob, as much as the remakes
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: anymore have gotten out of control, that's when they did
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: a good job.
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: Yeah, I hear that a lot. I think so, too.
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: I really liked it and I was glad to take
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: part of it. And a lot of people don't remember that,
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: you know, Kevin Dillon was in that.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: He was the bad boy in that.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: And then, you know, he later did The Doors, and
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: now Entourage, which he's so famous for. But a lot
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: of people don't realize that's him, because it kind of
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: doesn't look like him.
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: It's terrible hair.
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: It's terrible hair. It's such terrible hair. He's got that
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: brutish look.
- 1:05:33Speaker 18: Mullety.
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, exactly. It's bad. But it was cool. It
- 1:05:38Speaker 7: was great. I mean, those were just good times. Once again,
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: that's another movie I would have done for free as well.
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: It was just a lot of fun.
- 1:05:45Speaker 11: Before.
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: Do you want to talk about the one that never
- 1:05:49Speaker 8: made it over here?
- 1:05:50Speaker 7: No, no, I don't want to talk about it. IMDb
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: refuses to put it up.
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: Nice.
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: I hate them.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: They put up a lot of weird stuff.
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: They won't even put up my... I was an extra neighbor.
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: I was offered the part of Ben Seaver in Growing
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: Pains as a little kid. And my parents said no
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: because I was too young. So they made me the
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: next door neighbor. I did 16 episodes. You know how
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: many episodes IMDb has on?
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: One. Nice.
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: I've shown them proof. They've even aged me by five years.
- 1:06:17Speaker 7: I sent in my birth certificate and they refused to
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: change my age. So IMDb is a bunch of stupid idiots.
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: They don't even have my age right.
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: We like to read our descriptions off of IMDb when
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: we talk about the movie and then.
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: Kind of laugh at how badly they're worded. And wrong, usually.
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: They aged me five years and I sent them my
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: birth certificate and they still wouldn't change it. I'm like,
- 1:06:40Speaker 7: what else can I possibly show you? I sent my
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: driver's license too. I'm like, I don't have the time
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: to fake this shit, guys. I really don't.
- 1:06:48Speaker 8: And why would they care?
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: Yeah. I mean, why do you care? What makes you
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: such an authority that you want to age me five years?
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: Thanks a lot.
- 1:06:56Speaker 7: You know, I did a lot of, I was actually
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: more known as a commercial kid. In the end I
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: did 72 commercials, which is a lot in a 12
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: year span. But I had the all American boy look
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: and that's kind of all it really took. You know,
- 1:07:08Speaker 7: I mean commercials don't take a real great depth of
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: acting so to speak. It takes more of an expression
- 1:07:15Speaker 7: and an oh my and I can click a seatbelt
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: or eat a cookie or ride in a backseat real well.
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: Play with green climes.
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: Yeah, exactly. And that's pretty much, you know, and believe
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: it or not, back then, you made a lot more
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: money doing commercials. unless you're famous, than you did doing movies.
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: I think that's still true, really.
- 1:07:34Speaker 7: It may be.
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: I think the working actors, yeah.
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: Yeah, unless you're a really working, working actor, you get
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: paid probably scale to do a movie. But with commercials,
- 1:07:42Speaker 7: the residual checks are just insane. Like, the last time
- 1:07:45Speaker 7: I did a Nike commercial, it had a bunch of
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: famous athletes and stuff in it, and I was just
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: some guy in it. I could not believe the residuals
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: on that thing. I mean, it probably only aired a
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: couple dozen times, but It probably made as much money
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: as I made on the blob Merchandising Living Day combined.
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: And I was like, wow. I mean, come on, Nike.
- 1:08:05Speaker 7: Call me back any time you'd like.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: Set up a deal.
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: Yeah, please.
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: I'll wear your sneakers every day.
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: As soon as you get your own shoe line.
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: Yeah, there you go. Yeah, they bleed when you walk.
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: Blood comes out, and they scream, more brains, more brains.
- 1:08:21Speaker 8: I think they've already got a Michael, so it's folks' brains.
- 1:08:24Speaker 7: Yeah, I think they do.
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: Might have to go with something else.
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: I think the underwear lines out, too.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: Damn.
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: I was going to go for the bloody underwear with
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: the skid marks, but I guess not.
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: That's a harder sell.
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: It is a harder sell. You can always say, honey,
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: they came that way. It's not my fault.
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: It's the tagline for it. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: It's their branding. That's how you know they're mine.
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: Oh, well, is there anything else, I guess, just upcoming
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: projects you want to tell people about?
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: You know, it's all happening so fast. I really don't
- 1:08:52Speaker 7: want to be one of those people that... I wrote
- 1:08:54Speaker 7: a book many years ago, and I made this mistake of...
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: I got signed to a bunch of these radio shows.
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: and TV shows, and I went and did a bunch
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: of them, and there was one, this nationally syndicated radio show,
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: and I announced to everyone that I was going to
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: be on it, before they had announced that I was
- 1:09:09Speaker 7: going to be on it. They got so upset, they
- 1:09:11Speaker 7: didn't have me on it. So I learned my lesson,
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: I'm not going to say anything until it's like we're
- 1:09:18Speaker 7: shooting next week.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Definitely.
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: Because I just don't want that to ever happen again.
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: I was so embarrassed, too, because someone went out on
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: a ledge to get me this big role in this
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: nationally syndicated radio show. And so I just don't want
- 1:09:30Speaker 7: to go there yet. But keep an eye out because
- 1:09:33Speaker 7: a bunch of stuff's happening.
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: Definitely.
- 1:09:36Speaker 7: I mean, I'm surprised. And you won't be able to
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: miss it. Let me just say that. It's like big stuff.
- 1:09:41Speaker 7: You won't be able to miss it. So, you know,
- 1:09:44Speaker 7: if you ever were a fan, get ready, because it's
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: going to happen again.
- 1:09:46Speaker 8: Do you want people to find you on Facebook?
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: Please. You know, I'm really easy to find on Facebook.
- 1:09:52Speaker 7: Type my name in. I'm really the only one that
- 1:09:54Speaker 7: still looks like he's 12.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:56Speaker 7: All right?
- 1:09:57Speaker 8: You've held up really well.
- 1:09:58Speaker 7: Yeah, I look exactly like I did when I'm 12,
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: and I'm pretty much the first page, first three pages
- 1:10:04Speaker 7: in Google, and I'm the first two people to come
- 1:10:07Speaker 7: up on Facebook for some reason. So you should have
- 1:10:10Speaker 7: no trouble finding me. I'm Please, I love Facebook. I
- 1:10:13Speaker 7: love chatting with people. One of my best friends I've
- 1:10:15Speaker 7: ever made in the past few years lives in Brazil,
- 1:10:18Speaker 7: and I met him on Facebook. And he and I
- 1:10:21Speaker 7: just connected, and he's a cool cat. And one of
- 1:10:24Speaker 7: the girls that flew out here to meet me at
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: the convention, I met on Facebook. And she's incredibly hot,
- 1:10:29Speaker 7: by the way. We'll leave it at that.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:10:33Speaker 8: Anyway.
- 1:10:34Speaker 7: Anyways. But she flew out to see me, so that's some...
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: Damn dedication.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: Definitely.
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: But I was okay with that. That's Bicycle Girl from
- 1:10:46Speaker 7: the project I'm not going to talk about.
- 1:10:48Speaker 8: That one project.
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: That one project that's produced by Frank Darabont.
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: And it's huge and you're going to be taking over.
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: We're not going to talk about it though. But she's
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: in that show. Oh, man. Well, she just stuck her
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: tongue out at me for all you people looking. And
- 1:11:03Speaker 7: she's beautiful.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Playing the home game, you know.
- 1:11:05Speaker 7: Yeah, there you go.
- 1:11:08Speaker 8: I think that will work, yeah.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Brian, thank you.
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: Thank you for talking to us today.
- 1:11:11Speaker 21: Absolutely.
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: Beware of the blob.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: It creeps and leaps and glides and slides across the floor,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: right through the door, all around the wall. A splotch,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: a blotch.
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: Be careful of the blob.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: Commission time. If leaving, please replace your in-car speaker before
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: releasing brakes or starting motor. Do not back out. Drive
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: to the aisle in front of you and exit. And now,
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: for those remaining... Tweaked.

- 1:12:20Speaker 6: What's up?
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: It's Brian again.
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: Just here to tell you it's coming up on one
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: of our favorite times of year here at Movie Meltdown.
- 1:12:25Speaker 6: It's coming up on the Fright Night Film Fest. This
- 1:12:28Speaker 6: will be the seventh annual Fright Night Film Fest. But
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: not only that, this year also kicks off Fandom Fest,
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: an entire second convention of geek and pop culture. But wait,
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: you get both awesome shows for the same low price.
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: Now this is no longer just a convention that caters
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: to horror geeks. But it crosses over into a whole
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: new realm where fantasy and sci-fi lovers, as well as
- 1:12:52Speaker 6: comic book collectors, general film lovers, can hang out with gamers, authors,
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: and artists of all types. It's like Geek Valhalla, only
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: you don't have to die to get there, you just
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: have to get your tickets now. Now the main guest,
- 1:13:05Speaker 6: the legend himself, director John Carpenter.
- 1:13:10Speaker 8: Amazing.
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: One of the most influential directors of our time. Not
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: only that, this list of guests goes on. We've got
- 1:13:18Speaker 6: the Fonz himself, Henry Winkler. That is so awesome. Also,
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: Margot Kidder, Tiffany Shephus, Larry Drake, Jeremy Bullock, Tony Moore
- 1:13:28Speaker 6: and the stars of The Walking Dead, the stars of
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: Enter the Dragon, Bruce Lee not included, a Karate Kid
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: Cobra Kai reunion, and give us a Revenge of the
- 1:13:37Speaker 6: Nerds reunion.
- 1:13:38Speaker 8: Seriously. Featuring Robert Carradine, Larry B. Scott, Curtis Armstrong.
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: And if booger being there wasn't enough, Donald Gibb. Ogre,
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: ladies and gentlemen, will be there. There's so many others.
- 1:13:51Speaker 6: I mean, the stars of American Graffiti, Jaws, Phantasm, so
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: many other stars. You'll just have to go look at
- 1:13:56Speaker 6: the list. It's ridiculous how many stars are there. Plus, again,
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: we cross over into all the other activities that are
- 1:14:03Speaker 6: added this year. You've got literary guests and gaming guests
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: and artists. There'll be seminars and workshops going on. Movies
- 1:14:11Speaker 6: the entire weekend, live music, a masquerade ball, and the
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: now infamous Georgetown drive-in event.
- 1:14:18Speaker 8: Plus an appearance from your friends at Movie Meltdown.
- 1:14:21Speaker 6: And isn't that really the most impressive thing? And it's
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: all going on July 22nd through the 24th in Louisville, Kentucky.
- 1:14:27Speaker 6: So get your tickets now. You can go to FrightNightFilmFest.com
- 1:14:31Speaker 6: or the site for the new convention, Fandom Fest. That's
- 1:14:33Speaker 6: F-A-N-D-O-M-F-E-S-T dot com.
- 1:14:37Speaker 8: It's going to be one hell of a weekend.
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: The Friday Night Film Fest is my favorite film festival.
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: Hands down.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: It's part of your problem, you know. You haven't seen
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: enough movies. All of life's riddles are answered in the movies.
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: And now, on with the show.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: The Friday Night.
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: Film Fest.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Have you seen the trailer for.
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: The new Footloose movie?
- 1:15:32Speaker 8: No.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: It looks horrible. It looks the same as the first movie,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: almost exact.
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: They already made a movie called Footloose. It's called Footloose.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: I saw it. It's got Footloose, yeah. It's got Kevin
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: Bacon in it. It's like 900 times better.
- 1:15:43Speaker 8: All right, so I guess we can go into a
- 1:15:45Speaker 8: little bit of What's the Buzz?
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: Tell me what's happening.
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: What's the buzz?
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: Tell me what's happening.
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: What's the buzz?
- 1:15:54Speaker 11: Tell me what's happening.
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: What's the buzz?
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: Tell me what's happening. I haven't heard the buzz in
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: a long time.
- 1:16:00Speaker 8: Yeah, I know.
- 1:16:00Speaker 6: But this one specifically, I thought I'd pass along to
- 1:16:03Speaker 6: you and see what your thoughts on it were. It says,
- 1:16:06Speaker 6: Newcomer producer Andrew Marion, formerly of Los Angeles Real Estate,
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: has acquired the rights to make a movie based on
- 1:16:13Speaker 6: the life story of early TV producer-writer Rod Serling.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I read about this the other day. I told Jay,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: and I was like, oh my god, this could be awesome,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: or this could suck, because I love me some Rod Serling.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: He's so awesome. There's so much to know about him.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: I mean, he was a in the war and he
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: was all you know he did like all kinds of
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: film and radio stuff you know before twilight though and
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: he's such an interesting guy to me but i'm like
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: obsessed and i love.
- 1:16:38Speaker 6: Him you should get the guy from the geico commercial
- 1:16:40Speaker 6: to play him no that was what i was gonna
- 1:16:43Speaker 6: ask who do you.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Cast as rhinestone.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Not child no.
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: Who's gonna be You're going to be Rod Serling now.
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: Too late.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: You already bucked it up. You know who I'd cast?
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: I'd cast an absolute nobody. Yeah.
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: Somebody who's not going to, you're not got any expectations
- 1:17:01Speaker 9: about or anything like that.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: That's who you should cast.
- 1:17:04Speaker 8: That's probably for the best.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: And that's not who they're going to be. They're going
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: to be somebody stupid.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: You know who visually somewhat reminds me of Rod Serling?
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: It's going to sound stupid, but Jeff Prost. The guy
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: from Survivor. The host of Survivor. He has like almost,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: he's His face kind of resembles Rod Serling's a little
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: bit enough that I can buy that, but his voice
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: doesn't have the... He started smoking cigarettes like 50 years ago.
- 1:17:26Speaker 8: Yeah, like three packs a day.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: No, four. Rod Serling smoked four packs of cigarettes a day,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: and he was five foot four. He was a tiny
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: little man, and he fucking smoked the hell out of
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: his chest and feels.
- 1:17:35Speaker 11: So, yeah.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: I mean, it depends on who they get to do
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: it and how they do it. I could really like
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: it or I could really hate it. I usually hate biofilms.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: I hate them. I really do.
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: We'll get Jim Carrey to play them.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: You know they will.
- 1:17:48Speaker 8: Sean Penn.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Shia's going to play the young Rod. Jim Carrey's going
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: to play the older one. Typically, I hate Biles. I
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: can't stand him. I don't like knowing too much. But
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Rod Sterling is one of those. He's so interesting to me.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I'd like to know a little bit about him.
- 1:18:07Speaker 6: I think it could be, again, given to the right person,
- 1:18:11Speaker 6: but that's usually on every one of these stupid stories, so.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: From the angle they want to go, if they want
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: to dig up anything, you know, if you ever kicked
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: a puppy or something, they want to dig up, you know,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: shit and, you know, so it's not true, or the
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: dark side of Ron Surley, you know.
- 1:18:25Speaker 6: Usually they don't with these big Hollywood ones. They're all, like,
- 1:18:28Speaker 6: glossy and. Unless it's a major thing that they fought with.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I can't picture him doing anything bad.
- 1:18:33Speaker 9: I know, but you know it won't be true. It's
- 1:18:35Speaker 9: just like the Bruce Lee story. Half the stuff in it,
- 1:18:38Speaker 9: some of it didn't happen. So they just kind of
- 1:18:40Speaker 9: added it in for, like, woo effect.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Entertainment value.
- 1:18:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:18:43Speaker 13: They're like, alright that wasn't very interesting so let's make
- 1:18:47Speaker 13: it like do this and that's more.
- 1:18:50Speaker 6: Interesting artistic license yeah we can do whatever we want
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: because it's a movie yeah there's.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: So much to know about him he was such a
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: he was so fucking creative and just I would have
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: loved it for him to sit and tell me stories
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: I would love that.
- 1:19:05Speaker 8: He kind of did stories it's like you.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Know tucking me in a bed at night That.
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: Would be more awesome if you actually just sat there.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: Then I'd probably get like Smoker's Lung or something just
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: for being next to me.
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: Secondhand Smoker's Lung?
- 1:19:15Speaker 8: Osmosis Smoker's Lung?
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Secondhand smoke kills two people.
- 1:19:19Speaker 8: Don't smoke.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: It's bad for you.
- 1:19:23Speaker 8: This podcast is brought to you by Chesterfield. Dude, seriously.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Five packs a day. That's why he died during open-heart surgery.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: He fucking died because of that shit. I made that
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: part up. I think he died during open-heart surgery.
- 1:19:34Speaker 8: This surgery brought to you by Chesterfield.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: Do they still make Justice Brothers?
- 1:19:39Speaker 6: No, that's why I keep plugging them, because I don't
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: feel bad plugging something from the 50s.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: I didn't think they still existed.
- 1:19:47Speaker 8: Alright, what else we got? This one, I don't know
- 1:19:50Speaker 8: what the hell to think of it. Actually, it doesn't
- 1:19:52Speaker 8: surprise me, but it's a weird idea. Production company Radar.
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: Pictures has Peter Cornwell to direct a science fiction.
- 1:20:00Speaker 8: Thriller called Into Darkness. And now, here's the really bad part.
- 1:20:04Speaker 6: Into Darkness is an adaptation of the Joseph Conrad novel,
- 1:20:08Speaker 6: Heart of Darkness, the basis for Apocalypse Now. But instead
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: of being a ferry boat on an African river, Into
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: Darkness will be set in outer space. So, I mean,
- 1:20:20Speaker 6: isn't this what they always did with outer space movies?
- 1:20:23Speaker 6: I mean, half of them were like old seafairy movies
- 1:20:26Speaker 6: and they just recast it in space, where This is
- 1:20:28Speaker 6: just like a sort.
- 1:20:30Speaker 8: Of trip into the jungle war movie that they're getting now.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: Send it into outer space.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: Yeah, when's Moby Dick in outer space going to come out?
- 1:20:37Speaker 8: They already have.
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: Oh, they already have that?
- 1:20:40Speaker 8: There's a new sci-fi one, isn't there?
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: There's a new sci-fi one starring Barry Bostwick.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: That one's not in space.
- 1:20:45Speaker 8: I heard it was pretty bad. Somebody was telling me
- 1:20:47Speaker 8: about it. They were just like, the size of Moby
- 1:20:50Speaker 8: Dick was ridiculous.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: Isn't it always in sci-fi movies?
- 1:20:53Speaker 8: But then I was like, okay, but was it really inconsistent?
- 1:20:56Speaker 8: They were like, I don't know. I don't know. think
- 1:20:58Speaker 8: it might have been i was like yep that's sci-fi.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: I love sci-fi original i don't fuck very many devices yeah.
- 1:21:04Speaker 8: But sometimes i'm just like really fact checker come on now.
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: Earlier that thing was the size of a truck and
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: now it'll fit in your pocket i mean just like
- 1:21:11Speaker 6: see we need a little consistency so yeah i don't
- 1:21:15Speaker 6: know what to think of that that's it doesn't surprise
- 1:21:17Speaker 6: me that's what they've been doing with sci-fi forever is
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: just kind of stealing regular ones and making.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: It Space Madness. I couldn't write anymore.
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: Alright, so this next one could depend on the, well, again,
- 1:21:32Speaker 6: you're going with what was a child star that now
- 1:21:35Speaker 6: has grown up.
- 1:21:36Speaker 8: So sometimes they don't grow up so cute. Have you
- 1:21:39Speaker 8: seen Hayley Joel Osment lately? Yeah. What happened? Like, because
- 1:21:43Speaker 8: his sister's cute.
- 1:21:44Speaker 6: Like, his sister started off looking kind of weird like
- 1:21:46Speaker 6: he did, and then, like, when she hit, like.
- 1:21:48Speaker 8: Teen years, she got really cute.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: So.
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: It's like it reversed on him or something, because as
- 1:21:53Speaker 6: he's getting older, he's getting just that, I don't know,
- 1:21:56Speaker 6: sometimes child stars have issues with growing up looking funky.
- 1:22:00Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't know what to do with this one.
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: They're calling it potentially stunt casting, but Haley Jo Osment
- 1:22:04Speaker 6: has been cast as young Victor Franklin in Wake the Dead,
- 1:22:09Speaker 6: an adaptation of a comic book based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: Wake the Dead is a modern retelling of the concept
- 1:22:15Speaker 6: with Victor Frankenstein is jealousized into being Victor Franklin, a
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: young medical student who starts experimenting with corpses. Haley Jo
- 1:22:23Speaker 6: Osment was 11 when The Sixth Sense came out in 1999.
- 1:22:26Speaker 8: He is now 23. Good lord. Yeah, he's an old man. Shit,
- 1:22:31Speaker 8: that makes me even older. Well, we're all pretty ancient
- 1:22:34Speaker 8: at this point. So, yeah, I don't know.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: I just.
- 1:22:38Speaker 8: They've done so many versions of Frankenstein.
- 1:22:41Speaker 6: They're doing so many updates of all these old novels
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: and updating it much like in space.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: You're going to be Frankenstein in space?
- 1:22:49Speaker 8: Frankenstein in space!
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: It's one of those things that they're going to reboot
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: every damn year.
- 1:22:54Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: I mean, it's such a go-to property. Even if it
- 1:22:58Speaker 6: didn't have a few along the way that make money,
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: it's just such a.
- 1:23:01Speaker 8: Standard that they have to keep doing it.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm surprised they haven't made a mummy yet.
- 1:23:06Speaker 8: Well, they did.
- 1:23:07Speaker 6: Brendan Fraser ruined it, so they need to reboot that
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: whole idea.
- 1:23:12Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: I mean, I like the concept of the mummy, but
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: it got a little ridiculous.
- 1:23:17Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: A little. And then it had Brendan Fraser in it.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: That kind of ruined it for.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: Me, yeah. He's Encino Man.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: That's the best you got?
- 1:23:29Speaker 8: Yeah. Yeah. That's pretty much all he has to his
- 1:23:32Speaker 8: credit at this point. That's pretty much.
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: All it was, yeah.
- 1:23:35Speaker 8: And he was in.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Blast from the Past.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: Blast from the Past.
- 1:23:40Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 1:23:40Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:23:42Speaker 6: So in the past ten years, Walt Disney Pictures has
- 1:23:44Speaker 6: established their in-studio trend of developing movies based on attractions
- 1:23:49Speaker 6: and their theme parks.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:23:51Speaker 8: What's next? This is always a good idea.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: The Matterhorn?
- 1:23:57Speaker 8: Should I even read the rest of it? Oh, no.
- 1:24:00Speaker 8: Are you happy with yourself?
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: I spoil everything. You know this. Wait a minute.
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: What is the Matterhorn?
- 1:24:06Speaker 8: I don't know. You're the authority. I don't know. Bust
- 1:24:09Speaker 8: it out. The Matterhorn.
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: Matterhorn.
- 1:24:11Speaker 8: What is that?
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: Is that like a ship?
- 1:24:13Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: I've never been to Disney World, so I don't know.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: The only Matterhorn I'm really familiar with is the one
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: they have at the fair. Can you think of the
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: one they have at the fair where you sit in
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: the ride and they play really bad?
- 1:24:23Speaker 18: Really?
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: And they play really bad. That's it?
- 1:24:27Speaker 11: Quick to the Matterhorn!
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: Okay, woo!
- 1:24:30Speaker 8: That's just the one.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: At the fair. That's not the one that I'm sure
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: that they are referring to. That's just the one that
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: I am familiar with, which would also make a fantastic movie.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: Soundtrack by Justin Timberlake? Is that what it is?
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: He could do that.
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: That's the Matterhorn that I know.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: Justin Timberlake just bought a big share in Myspace.
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: He's buying Myspace, which normally, if it were anybody else,
- 1:24:52Speaker 6: I would say, what a stupid idea.
- 1:24:54Speaker 8: That's dead.
- 1:24:55Speaker 6: But he's so in the middle of the music industry.
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: I'm like, I wonder if.
- 1:24:59Speaker 8: He's got plans. Is he actually.
- 1:25:02Speaker 6: Going to find some way to reboot Myspace? It seems
- 1:25:05Speaker 6: impossible at this point. It's going to be just in space.
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: Just in space.
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: Just in space. Just in space.
- 1:25:15Speaker 8: Okay, so what do they call this thing?
- 1:25:17Speaker 6: It says the studio has hired screenwriter Jason Dean Hall
- 1:25:20Speaker 6: to adapt the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland.
- 1:25:23Speaker 8: Into The Hill.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:25:25Speaker 8: The Hill will be about five young adventure seekers who,
- 1:25:28Speaker 8: for mysterious reasons, are called to the top of the mountain.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Because they're stupid.
- 1:25:32Speaker 6: Even better, yetis, and encounter a yetis on the journey down.
- 1:25:37Speaker 8: So if you're just going to make a big yeti movie,
- 1:25:39Speaker 8: that's pretty awesome. Yeah, I don't know. If you're going
- 1:25:41Speaker 8: to make it a goofy Disney tie-in, I don't know.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: But then that ties into Yetis on Ice.
- 1:25:46Speaker 8: Which we'll be opening this fall, I'm sure.
- 1:25:49Speaker 6: And we'll all be going to see Yetis on Ice
- 1:25:52Speaker 6: in 3D.
- 1:25:53Speaker 8: Definitely, I'm sure. And smell them.
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: I don't want to smell Yetis. I kind of smelled
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: that already today.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, I don't want to smell that one.
- 1:26:01Speaker 6: And the only one I was even going to go into,
- 1:26:02Speaker 6: just because we like to bitch about these.
- 1:26:05Speaker 8: You know what you love? It is time for the
- 1:26:06Speaker 8: remake of the week. Although this was, like, last week.
- 1:26:10Speaker 8: But who cares? I just wanted to bring it up
- 1:26:11Speaker 8: because I... Eh, whatever. See what you think.
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: So they've... They actually did the rundown of all the
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: projects they're attempting to... Of, like, the 80s remakes of, like...
- 1:26:21Speaker 6: They want to do Carrie. They want to do Poltergeist.
- 1:26:23Speaker 6: They want to do Red Dawn. They want to do Robocop.
- 1:26:26Speaker 8: So now they said that this week.
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: They've announced plans to remake the 1983 thriller War Games.
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: Yeah! Because we've got nothing else to do.
- 1:26:35Speaker 8: Obviously.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:26:36Speaker 8: The only thing I can think of is.
- 1:26:39Speaker 6: that is technologically massively dated at this point.
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: They can kind of use an update? In a way.
- 1:26:47Speaker 6: Even 10 years ago, you would look at the computer
- 1:26:50Speaker 6: he was typing on.
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: There was no way he could hack into that damn government.
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: It was just funny.
- 1:26:55Speaker 6: The green screen and sitting the phone in the cradle
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: to call it up and dial in. It is kind
- 1:27:04Speaker 6: of funny watching the computer system as it were.
- 1:27:08Speaker 8: The whopper that takes up a building, which now probably is,
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: you know, a laptop.
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: It's like my phone.
- 1:27:13Speaker 8: Yeah, it's nothing anymore. So, from that end, I can
- 1:27:17Speaker 8: almost see them doing something different with it, but.
- 1:27:21Speaker 10: I think the first home computer I had that was probably.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: Late 80s had 64k of memory.
- 1:27:30Speaker 6: Mine had less than that i had the was yours
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: commodore no mine was atari see mine was the commodore
- 1:27:36Speaker 6: but it was the commodore before the 64 it was
- 1:27:38Speaker 6: the vic 20 oh wow yeah we were cutting edge
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: technology around my house my dad was pretty proud of
- 1:27:44Speaker 6: that thing and.
- 1:27:45Speaker 9: That's probably what he had when he was hacking into
- 1:27:48Speaker 9: the government's uh tape drive.
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: Might have been a Texas instrument. I don't remember.
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: I mean, if I get my Atari system out, I
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: can hack into the government.
- 1:27:57Speaker 8: Pretty sure, yeah.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: I can start wars.
- 1:27:59Speaker 8: Yeah. That's the only thing I was going to say is...
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: Maybe it was a Tandy.
- 1:28:03Speaker 6: Is going to throw it off is because there's not
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: really that World War system anymore.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Oh, that Airstream is cool.
- 1:28:09Speaker 7: Look at that.
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: That's pretty awesome.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: Oh, it's a short one.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: Oh, it's a short buzzer.
- 1:28:16Speaker 6: But, no, there's, like, no, you know, there's no great power.
- 1:28:18Speaker 6: There's no arms race like there was then. Not like
- 1:28:21Speaker 6: we don't have.
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: No, no, no, they could still start shit with China.
- 1:28:24Speaker 8: Yeah, but they don't like the bad enough China. Like,
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: look at Red Dawn.
- 1:28:27Speaker 6: They changed where it's going on from China because they
- 1:28:31Speaker 6: didn't want to piss off the foreign market of film.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you don't want to fuck piss off China.
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: They don't want to do supplies with Chinese food.
- 1:28:37Speaker 8: You know, back in the 80s, we could give a
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: rat's ass what the Russians did.
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: Thought.
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: We'd make all kinds of horrible movies about them.
- 1:28:42Speaker 6: But now, now everything's about money and, you know, China
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: is a huge market for us.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: Well, then everything's PC nowadays.
- 1:28:49Speaker 8: That too. Which is why I'm thinking, I mean... Let's
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: start with Korea. Aren't we not nice to Korea? Everybody's
- 1:28:54Speaker 8: kind of pissed at Korea still, so... That's probably about it.
- 1:28:56Speaker 6: The only thing I can think of is if they
- 1:28:58Speaker 6: do a spin and change it to some sort of
- 1:29:00Speaker 6: terrorist plot. If you work in, like, the mythological terrorist
- 1:29:05Speaker 6: group out there, whatever, some al-Qaeda knockoff or something, that, like, you.
- 1:29:08Speaker 8: Find some way to tie it into some greater evil.
- 1:29:12Speaker 9: Yeah, but the problem is, if you're going to tie
- 1:29:13Speaker 9: it into some kind of terrorist, they're going to have
- 1:29:16Speaker 9: to be.
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: I mean, what kind of terrorists are there?
- 1:29:18Speaker 9: Well, there's going to be Islamic extremists, which people will buy.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: But they're going to be afraid to say anything about that, because.
- 1:29:25Speaker 18: then the the the muslim population will get upset about
- 1:29:28Speaker 18: it so then you'll just have this terrorist extremist yeah
- 1:29:33Speaker 18: white guys or maybe they'll make it the militias or.
- 1:29:35Speaker 6: Some shit like that clan terrorists yeah clan terrorists it's
- 1:29:39Speaker 6: like where do you go nowadays you can't go anywhere
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: because you can't piss anybody off because everybody starts crying.
- 1:29:43Speaker 8: Pretty much it's like it's like.
- 1:29:45Speaker 9: You said back in the 80s we were like fuck
- 1:29:47Speaker 9: russia you know we're like fuck japan In the 80s.
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: Cuba?
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: Yeah, Cuba. I remember, like, growing up, they were, like,
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: you know, anti-Japan, everything. You know, you had a Japanese car. Oh,
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: you drive a fucking Toyota?
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: You suck.
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: Fucking Japan sucks, you know?
- 1:30:03Speaker 8: Not anymore. It's all about money.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: Yeah, so.
- 1:30:07Speaker 9: Actually, we made tons of movies about Russia, and Russia
- 1:30:10Speaker 9: was always the bad guys.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: You know? And we didn't care about saying it.
- 1:30:14Speaker 8: But even then, it throws off the whole story.
- 1:30:16Speaker 6: I mean, the whole thing was this, like, you know,
- 1:30:18Speaker 6: Cold War, us versus them, where... terrorists is nobody you
- 1:30:22Speaker 6: know i mean there's no real country of fight it's
- 1:30:24Speaker 6: just random groups of people so to me that's not
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: the same story yeah it's a faceless enemy not that
- 1:30:29Speaker 6: that's even officially what they're doing i'm just i couldn't
- 1:30:31Speaker 6: even think of any other way to do it really
- 1:30:33Speaker 6: without just going with a random country which you're not
- 1:30:36Speaker 6: going to do so i guess a fictional country we're.
- 1:30:38Speaker 10: Going to make up a country either they're going to
- 1:30:40Speaker 10: have to go the gi joe route which is going
- 1:30:42Speaker 10: to have to be a terrorist organization like cobra It's, like,
- 1:30:45Speaker 10: completely faceless, genderless, background-ish, country-less.
- 1:30:50Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: That nobody will care about because they're probably all clones,
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: you know?
- 1:30:54Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: It's okay if we kill clones.
- 1:30:56Speaker 8: It's the Empire. It's okay. Yeah.
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: Or the robots or some shit like that, you know?
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: That's funny.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Maybe it'll be aliens.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe.
- 1:31:04Speaker 8: I was just wondering, what if they do a retro?
- 1:31:06Speaker 8: What if they do, like, a Super 8 and set it, like,
- 1:31:09Speaker 8: in that time period? I'm like, well, why... Wouldn't you
- 1:31:11Speaker 8: just watch war games?
- 1:31:13Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:31:13Speaker 6: If you're going to redo it and yet still use
- 1:31:15Speaker 6: the old computer systems and fight against Russia, shit, why
- 1:31:19Speaker 6: not just do it?
- 1:31:20Speaker 9: If it's war games, I don't see why they can't
- 1:31:22Speaker 9: use it against China because it's not really going to
- 1:31:26Speaker 9: be their fault because they're going to see it as, oh, crap,
- 1:31:28Speaker 9: the fucking U.S.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: Is launching missiles at us. We're going to launch missiles
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: at you. I mean, that's a real situation.
- 1:31:34Speaker 8: There is a way to do it. if they did
- 1:31:36Speaker 8: it smart and still be able to pull off.
- 1:31:38Speaker 6: It's, hey, nobody's at fault. Because even then, Russia wasn't
- 1:31:41Speaker 6: the bad guy. The computer gets kind of carried away
- 1:31:43Speaker 6: and plays its own little game. So, I mean, yeah,
- 1:31:46Speaker 6: that can be done. And again, if they skate that right,
- 1:31:50Speaker 6: they can even get it past the, I don't know,
- 1:31:51Speaker 6: that Chinese market's pretty hardcore.
- 1:31:54Speaker 8: They pick and choose what they like, and they like big,
- 1:31:56Speaker 8: dumb American movies. They don't want anything questioning anything.
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: Well, maybe if they put, like, Jackie Chan in it,
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: maybe everything will be okay. They're going, look, see, we're
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: going to put Jackie Chan in it.
- 1:32:04Speaker 8: A bumbling scientist that works at the end.
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going to be funny. You want Jet Li? Okay,
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: we'll put Jet Li in it, too.
- 1:32:08Speaker 8: Okay, see?
- 1:32:09Speaker 6: See?
- 1:32:09Speaker 8: You're going to have to pay him more.
- 1:32:11Speaker 7: He's shorter.
- 1:32:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:32:15Speaker 8: You know?
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: I mean, I already saw War Games. Why do I
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: want to see War Games again?
- 1:32:19Speaker 8: Yeah, see?
- 1:32:20Speaker 6: I mean, that's what I'm saying, dude. There's... There's such
- 1:32:22Speaker 6: a fine line. I don't want them to redo it
- 1:32:24Speaker 6: exactly because that's boring.
- 1:32:25Speaker 8: If you change it too.
- 1:32:26Speaker 6: Much, it's stupid and it has nothing to do with
- 1:32:28Speaker 6: the original. So it's so hard to do something reboot-wise.
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: Who's doing it again? It would be the Transformers guys.
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: Michael Bay.
- 1:32:38Speaker 8: Let's hope not.
- 1:32:40Speaker 6: At least they're listing as being attached at this point
- 1:32:43Speaker 6: Seth Gordon. His first one was the documentary King of Kong,
- 1:32:48Speaker 6: which is actually really good. And obviously he likes his
- 1:32:51Speaker 6: retro hardware. He also did Four Christmases. I never did
- 1:32:56Speaker 6: see King of Kong. King of Kong was pretty interesting.
- 1:33:00Speaker 6: That's what I've heard, but I kind of don't care.
- 1:33:03Speaker 6: Four Christmases looked really bad, but Horrible Losses is his
- 1:33:07Speaker 6: new one, which looks more entertaining.
- 1:33:09Speaker 8: It at least looks like it's a little smarter. I
- 1:33:12Speaker 8: don't know, a harder edge version of that comedy. Four
- 1:33:14Speaker 8: Christmases just look dumb, man.
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: It's like Jennifer Aniston trying so hard to be relevant.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: I don't even care. God, I fucking can't stand her
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: man face. And she's trying so fucking hard. Oh, look
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: at me. I'm gonna eat a banana all sexy. You
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: know what, bitch? You're gonna die alone. She is, dude.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: Alone and bitter.
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: There's somebody out there that likes Jennifer Aniston.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: I'm not buying it.
- 1:33:37Speaker 15: Oh, there is.
- 1:33:38Speaker 7: There is.
- 1:33:39Speaker 9: There may be a guy somewhere out in Arkansas, but
- 1:33:42Speaker 9: there's some people, there's gotta be some guy that likes Jennifer.
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: Aniston, you know? Hey, I'll take you to my trailer.
- 1:33:49Speaker 8: I'll carry you over the threshold.
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: Oh wait, I don't got no door.
- 1:33:54Speaker 8: The twister done pulled that off. Oh, so that's a
- 1:33:59Speaker 8: pretty good shape for the bus.
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: I saw that thing online where it said, Jennifer Anderson's
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: new tattoo. I was like, get the hell out of here.
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: She got Brad, didn't she?
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: Didn't she?
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: She did. Then it was her dog. I was like, wow.
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: I didn't see that one coming.
- 1:34:10Speaker 6: It's kind of sad. Even though it was probably a
- 1:34:13Speaker 6: goofy little dog. A little foo-foo Hollywood dog. But still,
- 1:34:17Speaker 6: I like dogs.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: His name was Norman.
- 1:34:19Speaker 8: I like dogs.
- 1:34:19Speaker 6: So, yeah, I still felt bad for her. As much
- 1:34:21Speaker 6: as I wanted to make fun of her for having
- 1:34:23Speaker 6: a lame tattoo. She's like, well, her dog died.
- 1:34:25Speaker 8: That sucks.
- 1:34:28Speaker 6: Alright, so I think we're going to wrap up this
- 1:34:30Speaker 6: first episode here. But we will continue back next week
