  [SPEAKER_00]: We are less than 48 hours away from your Jacksonville Jaguar is kicking off their 2025 regular season against the Carolina Panthers, the first game of the Liam Cohen, James Gladstone, Tony Baceli, ERA here in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: with the Jaguar's injury report and the Panthers as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll start with the Jaguar's because there's nothing really to get into here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Monterrey Brown has been ruled out that's no surprise.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't practiced since very early on in training camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Mist almost all of training camp with an ankle injury.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's working off to the side.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not on injured reserve.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So the Jaguars do expect him back at some point sooner rather than later.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is working off to the side during practice.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Wyatt Mylem has also been ruled out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: he has not returned to practice since he suffered a knee injury a couple weeks in the camp and he hasn't been placed on injuries or either so another player that would expect back sooner rather than later if things go well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cole Van Lannan, who missed most of camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has been limited in practice throughout the week, and throughout the last couple weeks with a shoulder injury, he missed most of training camp as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's actually questionable for the game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a backup offensive tackle slash offensive guard, kind of versatile offensive lineman for them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, if he can't go, I don't think that's a big deal right now because of some of the versatility and depth the jackores have on their offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have Tuma Adoga who would probably be inserted into the line up if an injury does strike ahead of Colvin land in any ways, whether that be at guard or tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They also have Jonah Monheim who could be inserted into the line up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: at center or guard, and then if there is an injury anywhere, Patrick McCary can also potentially shift from right guard to any of the other spots on the offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So not having Cole VanLane in this week is not a big deal, now if there are.

  [SPEAKER_00]: injuries in the future on the offensive line, they will want Cole VanLan for that depth and versatility.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's the Jaguar side of things, no big surprises, nobody else has any injury designation or issue or game status, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Adding into this week, although you do remember Caleb Ransal,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Unfortunately, out for the year, Jaguar's young safety, the second pick for them in the 2025 draft, out for the year, and Jaila McCloud on the short-term injury list, so he could be eligible to return a little bit later on in the season after the first four weeks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jack or excuse me, Panthers have a much different injury situation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Robert Hunt and Damian Lewis, the Panthers two starting guards who were limited in practice throughout the week, are both going to play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They do not have a game status.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those big nasty physical guards that really helped Tuma, Tuba, Hubbard and the Run game, both of those guys are going to be available.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Demari Mathis is not going to be available.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He tore his ACL on Wednesday's practice, and so he's gonna be out for the year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a backup corner for the Panthers, so obviously that impacts their depth, doesn't necessarily impact their starting lineup, but that's definitely a tough blow for anybody.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Wish him a very speedy recovery.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A Sean Robinson will pop up limited with growing injury the last two days, defensive linemen for them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He does not have an injury designation, so he'll be playing in this game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The big news in terms of impact on this game, impact on the starting lineup is, it came Aquano was actually limited in practice Friday.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Panthers starting left tackle after not participating in practice Wednesday or Thursday, he had an appendectomy last week.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is officially doubtful for this game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he's a tone-setter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's one of the most athletic offensive linemen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody who they spent a very high draft pick on a few years ago.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody who they have very high expectations for.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And in all honesty, being doubtful, pretty much means you're not going to play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It would have to be a miraculous recovery.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why they would put him in a position less than two weeks post-appened dec to me, post-getting your appendix, removing having surgery to get that out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Why they would put him in that position?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I fully expect he came Aquano to not play in this game Which would mean you're either going to see yosh niman or Brady Christians and at left tackle assuming Aquano cannot play and That's just I mean Not a great situation overall for for the Panthers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They view him as one of their best players one of their most talented players

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so now you're probably going to be seeing a backup going up against Josh Heinz Allen quite often, so that that's going to be a major major key to this game, how well can Panthers left tackle Sands Ekem Aquanu perform and hold up against one of the Jaguar stronger players, maybe the best player on the entire team.
