- 0:16Speaker 1: I make physically, I make a lot more sounds I want.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I used to dreaming.
- 0:20Speaker 1: That's my issue. Yeah, I don't know what it is.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Maybe it's the times. But I just noticed that I
- 0:25Speaker 1: make a lot of noises. I make noises when I
- 0:27Speaker 1: work out. I make noises when I used to potty.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I make noises when I actually turn over in bed.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I make noises when I have to get out of bed.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Make it's not noises, it's grunts.
- 0:37Speaker 2: It's like a stretch.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It's probably unattractive. Well, no, I don't know. I make
- 0:45Speaker 1: a lot of noises.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Are you alone when you're making.
- 0:48Speaker 1: These noises right now?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, didn't let them out.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I do, but I think I did it all the time.
- 0:55Speaker 1: But when I put on my.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Too comfortable don't get too comfortable making those noises.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Why why can it be me, Tony?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Yeah, someone's gonna love him for all those noises?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Why can't I be me? You are the symbol of
- 1:05Speaker 1: be you be unique power?
- 1:08Speaker 3: Because Sysney said, are you alone?
- 1:10Speaker 4: When you're making these noises, and you said yes, and
- 1:13Speaker 4: then I was like, maybe you don't get so comfortable
- 1:16Speaker 4: in that, but.
- 1:17Speaker 1: You just repeated exactly what we heard. We know that,
- 1:20Speaker 1: But why why can't I be me and make my noises?
- 1:22Speaker 1: Systney's all for it? Do you make noises? Siciny?
- 1:25Speaker 5: I do a lot of things that are unpleasant, but
- 1:27Speaker 5: Michael loves me for the woman that I am.
- 1:32Speaker 1: That's the beauty of being with somebody for as long
- 1:34Speaker 1: as you've been with you can just you can do
- 1:36Speaker 1: all those things.
- 1:37Speaker 5: And it goes both way, so you know, it's not
- 1:39Speaker 5: like it's a smooth bark for me over here.
- 1:43Speaker 1: All right, swell, here we are. I've got raging water tickets.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I thought this would be the week to do it.
- 1:49Speaker 1: We'll start giving those way in just a second. First,
- 1:52Speaker 1: let me come back with your free gas this hour?
- 1:55Speaker 1: All right, So what should we do? Should we? Let's Tony,
- 1:59Speaker 1: let's do what you wanted to ask us about because
- 2:01Speaker 1: it might be an interesting study on our own personalities.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Go ahead, Okay, I thank you because I've been so
- 2:07Speaker 4: fascinated by this because this TikToker posted this theory basically
- 2:12Speaker 4: asking people what day of the week are you? And
- 2:14Speaker 4: I did it with my favorite day of the week
- 2:16Speaker 4: and it's spot on me to a tee. And so
- 2:19Speaker 4: I was curious if you also were your day of
- 2:22Speaker 4: the week. And I hope you both have different favorite
- 2:25Speaker 4: days of the week.
- 2:25Speaker 1: You explain how we're supposed to pick the day of
- 2:27Speaker 1: the week, So it's just.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Your favorite day of the week. So for me, my
- 2:29Speaker 4: favorite day is Monday. Like I love Monday.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So anybody else picked that?
- 2:33Speaker 6: Ever?
- 2:34Speaker 1: No?
- 2:35Speaker 3: Yeah, so excuse me. People do.
- 2:37Speaker 4: But so people who identify with Monday are smart, structured,
- 2:42Speaker 4: and organized, often serving as the planner of their household.
- 2:44Speaker 4: They meticulously plan events, organize group activities, and prefer strict schedules.
- 2:49Speaker 2: But see that is me and I would not pick Monday.
- 2:51Speaker 4: They are reliable friends who rarely cancel plans and feel
- 2:54Speaker 4: terrible if they.
- 2:55Speaker 1: But hold on, take it back a notch you and
- 3:00Speaker 1: forget that we're here with a microphone. You truly honestly
- 3:05Speaker 1: like Monday over Friday.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I love Okay, I love Monday?
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yes or no, yes, I can't fully believe you.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Why to me, the Monday is like the January of
- 3:17Speaker 3: the week.
- 3:17Speaker 7: It's like, I think that's Fridays, I'm tired, but I don't.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I think that's the exterior you telling us the interior
- 3:25Speaker 1: you loves Fridays.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I don't know, just believe her.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Yeah, Fridays, I'm like, I'm tired. Friday is like I
- 3:30Speaker 3: can't believe.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Anyone that likes Monday.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Okay for me?
- 3:33Speaker 1: Can we move on with the moving have a hard time?
- 3:37Speaker 8: For me?
- 3:37Speaker 5: I would fix Saturday, okay, because Saturdays I get to sleep.
- 3:41Speaker 2: It's just like it feels like a full day of.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Just me time.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:44Speaker 4: So Saturdays prioritize leisure and relaxation, eagerly anticipating their next vacation.
- 3:50Speaker 2: That's true.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Saturday's cherish their personal time, often waking up early even
- 3:55Speaker 4: on days off to make the most of their day.
- 3:57Speaker 4: They excel at unwinding, adaptly to making long naps, watching
- 4:01Speaker 4: sitcom reruns, or strolling through parks. They value quality time
- 4:06Speaker 4: with others, striving, striving to offer their best selves and
- 4:09Speaker 4: make their company feel appreciated, earning them the reputation of
- 4:13Speaker 4: being a ray of sunshine.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Uh So these are like love languages. Your favorite day
- 4:17Speaker 1: of the week tells us a lot about yourself.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Correct kind of spot on except for the leisure walks
- 4:23Speaker 2: in the park.
- 4:23Speaker 5: You walk Diego around the I doah, I get my
- 4:26Speaker 5: two miles of Diego.
- 4:28Speaker 2: But it's not the park.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Monday. Anybody else? Anybody have a favorite day that's Monday?
- 4:37Speaker 9: Ruby, No, but I like a Thursday today, Okay.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Thursdays are described as individuals who aspire to be the
- 4:50Speaker 4: weekend but maintain a humble demeanor. They often carry stress visibly,
- 4:54Speaker 4: but use it to their advantage by keeping interactions concise
- 4:58Speaker 4: and impactful.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Okay, you don't think.
- 5:02Speaker 5: It's you take Saturday, Saturday.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I'm really hoping you say one specific day. But let's
- 5:12Speaker 4: ask you, Ryan, what day of the week is your
- 5:14Speaker 4: favorite day?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Shocking? Friday?
- 5:19Speaker 3: Dang?
- 5:19Speaker 2: Okay, how would you not know?
- 5:20Speaker 1: I'm going to say Friday. What do you want to
- 5:22Speaker 1: Why can't I have my own favorite day?
- 5:25Speaker 2: We hate Sundays?
- 5:28Speaker 7: Say scary Fridays are actually Sunday night either.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Fridays are characterized as care free individuals with a packed schedule.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:41Speaker 4: They thrive on social interactions but can be forgetful about
- 5:44Speaker 4: important matters.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Due to their busy lifestyle.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Hard working and dedicated, they often go above and beyond
- 5:51Speaker 4: at work, but easily experience.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Experience burnout, and crave frequent breaks.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You You are more than enough, way more. Dial it back.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Sorry, I get excited.
- 6:05Speaker 1: But lower my headphones down.
- 6:09Speaker 10: Got it.
- 6:10Speaker 7: I thought it was so you, that was so to
- 6:14Speaker 7: stop everyone everyone. I just got here, Got here, Tanya.
- 6:22Speaker 1: If that was so me and your excitement level went
- 6:25Speaker 1: through the higher than Guardians of the Galaxy. Why do
- 6:31Speaker 1: you want me so badly to be a Sunday? Uh?
- 6:34Speaker 4: Because I felt like Sunday was a little more you.
- 6:38Speaker 4: But now that I read Friday again, it really is you.
- 6:40Speaker 4: But Sunday's more you.
- 6:42Speaker 7: I think it's not because I picked Friday.
- 6:46Speaker 1: The game doesn't work if you don't listen to the
- 6:49Speaker 1: choice that we give you. Just like you don't believe
- 6:51Speaker 1: my Friday, I don't believe you're Monday and we're coming back. Well,
- 6:54Speaker 1: Rachel's on the phone, Good morning, Rachel, how you doing? Hi?
- 6:58Speaker 11: Am good things.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I wanted to take your call because I just was.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I get a call screen of all the lines and
- 7:03Speaker 1: I can see it, says Rachel. I saw my boss
- 7:05Speaker 1: watching something in a photo he sent me. So your
- 7:10Speaker 1: your boss sent you a photo, but in the background
- 7:13Speaker 1: you saw him watching provocative videos.
- 7:17Speaker 11: Yes, that is correct.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Was it a still shot?
- 7:21Speaker 10: Yeah, it was a picture of my invoice because I
- 7:24Speaker 10: worked from home, and so I asked him if he
- 7:26Speaker 10: could send me a picture of it, and he was
- 7:28Speaker 10: holding it in front of his computer.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Oh and his computer had adult things on it. Uh
- 7:33Speaker 1: huh and ouch? Oops, did you tell him yet that
- 7:37Speaker 1: you saw it?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Tall weird.
- 7:41Speaker 11: I don't know what to do.
- 7:42Speaker 10: I waited a couple of minutes to respond, and he
- 7:44Speaker 10: must have finally realized that it was in the background,
- 7:47Speaker 10: and so we unsent the picture and then resent it
- 7:51Speaker 10: without anything in the background.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Okay, first of all, so everybody check your background, check
- 7:56Speaker 1: the articles, the things that whatever's in your background. Like,
- 8:02Speaker 1: take a look.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I mean, the takes happen.
- 8:04Speaker 2: This is not a mistake.
- 8:09Speaker 5: He did not know the fact that he's watching dirty
- 8:11Speaker 5: videos at work is not a mistake.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Like he's wait, was he at home or work? I
- 8:18Speaker 1: was picturing it at home after hours?
- 8:20Speaker 5: Okay, this is like during work hours. Well, Rachel is like,
- 8:26Speaker 5: what kind of project you're working on and whatever?
- 8:29Speaker 1: We don't know why. I was like, he always at homeworking.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Okay, maybe he's still mistake, still happened.
- 8:34Speaker 1: So but inappropriate. It work completely.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Rachel.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Now it's your boss, so we need to think carefully.
- 8:40Speaker 1: What do we do? Do you go to h R like,
- 8:41Speaker 1: what do you want to do?
- 8:44Speaker 10: I don't know? He he really like I haven't even responded.
- 8:49Speaker 10: Do I say things and act like I didn't see that?
- 8:51Speaker 1: He un I think you don't respond erase it and
- 8:54Speaker 1: let's just move on. Oh right, it's.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Not great maybe yeah, strike one and then if it
- 9:00Speaker 5: happens again, it's just like this is too much.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just I mean it fits me and this
- 9:05Speaker 1: is not maybe good advice, but I would just like move.
- 9:07Speaker 2: On, but like how uncomfortable now look at.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But he probably knows you saw it, so maybe he's
- 9:17Speaker 1: that's him appropriate. It's all bad on him too, it's
- 9:19Speaker 1: all bad on him. But it's your boss. Oh I
- 9:22Speaker 1: feel hunger pangs.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Do you still have the original picture?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Send it?
- 9:29Speaker 10: I didn't screenshot it now.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Oh, but you should check your computer because sometimes when
- 9:33Speaker 4: you unsend it still goes to your other it goes.
- 9:35Speaker 1: To other devices. Okay, check that, and so check it.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Keep it as evidence because if you ever tried to
- 9:41Speaker 5: pull something fishy down that road to try to like
- 9:43Speaker 5: fire you or do something weird because he's uncomfortable.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Then you have evidence.
- 9:49Speaker 11: Okay, interesting, I like that idea.
- 9:51Speaker 12: Thank you.
- 9:52Speaker 1: You've been watching your honor.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah, the court of law.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yeah, good luck. I'm not messing around with following the
- 9:59Speaker 1: facts and the evidence here, Rachel, thank you very much.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I mean, look, if she's uncomfortable, go to HR talk
- 10:05Speaker 1: about it. If she's not, move on. Yeah, coming up.
- 10:09Speaker 1: You're most attractive in photos when you're this distance, when
- 10:14Speaker 1: you're this distance from the camera. It's fact science. Next kids,
- 10:18Speaker 1: So if you're taking photos for vacation or you just
- 10:21Speaker 1: want to post something, they say seven feet. Research shows
- 10:24Speaker 1: you're most attracted from seven feet. I'd like twelve, but
- 10:27Speaker 1: seven is what the average most attractive distance should be.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Seven feet close photos, you got that subtle warping effect
- 10:34Speaker 1: that makes others see you as less attractive. They say,
- 10:36Speaker 1: so how about this seven feet? Walk it off? Step
- 10:38Speaker 1: it off today? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
- 10:41Speaker 6: All right?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Your quote. The six best doctors they are sunshine, water, rest, air, exercise,
- 10:48Speaker 1: and eating water. I mean best doctors. That is a
- 10:52Speaker 1: good one.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Glad you like it.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I'm here to please believe me. Acceptance validation, kiss you
- 10:59Speaker 1: a heady Thursday morning here on Kiss FM, What's Happening
- 11:03Speaker 1: Kiss FM headlines with Sisiny.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Well, if they're heading through West Hollywood this morning, avoid
- 11:10Speaker 5: Hollywood and Sunset, where a water main break has flooded
- 11:14Speaker 5: the intersection and surrounding streets. Airbnb is donating another million
- 11:18Speaker 5: dollars to help Boyle Heights residents affected by the Lineage
- 11:22Speaker 5: warehouse fire. Irvine voters will decide in November whether to
- 11:27Speaker 5: adopt ranked choice voting for future city elections starting in
- 11:31Speaker 5: twenty twenty eight, and Argentina will play for a second
- 11:35Speaker 5: consecutive World Cup title after beating England two to one.
- 11:38Speaker 2: They will face Spain in Sunday's final.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Eminem Seacrest with You. So, you know, I've become friendly
- 11:45Speaker 1: with the Blue Zone guy. You know, we've talked about
- 11:47Speaker 1: the Blue Zone books and the Blue Zone places in
- 11:50Speaker 1: the documentary How to Live to Be one hundred, where
- 11:53Speaker 1: you know, people do common things around the world and
- 11:57Speaker 1: they've got great lives and it's kind of simple. And
- 12:00Speaker 1: the founder of the whole concept who did the study
- 12:03Speaker 1: is a professional continental biker, the Guy. The Guy is
- 12:06Speaker 1: biked from Alaska to Argentina.
- 12:09Speaker 13: Oh I love that.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah, just to watch the match last year. No, no
- 12:14Speaker 1: Argentina far. His name is Dan Beuter's become a friend
- 12:17Speaker 1: of mine. I invited him on this morning because last
- 12:21Speaker 1: ninety and I were having some male bonding in the gather,
- 12:24Speaker 1: you know, just talking about life, love and the pursuit
- 12:27Speaker 1: of happiness. And he said, I said, anything that you
- 12:31Speaker 1: know I could share on the radio that that maybe
- 12:34Speaker 1: I wouldn't know about from watching the doc and reading
- 12:36Speaker 1: some of your books. And he talked about short people,
- 12:40Speaker 1: and my ears perked up, obviously, Dan, it's good to
- 12:42Speaker 1: see you again, buddy, good to be here.
- 12:44Speaker 14: Well, you know, I wasn't pandering, but but you know,
- 12:47Speaker 14: in the blue zones up in these highlands and Serginy.
- 12:50Speaker 6: You would look like you were an NBA player.
- 12:52Speaker 1: That's right, you heard that. You heard that, So what
- 12:55Speaker 1: what is that? What did you discover about shorter people?
- 12:58Speaker 6: So blue zones are the men tend to be shorter.
- 13:01Speaker 14: So if you're five to nine or shorter, it's worth
- 13:05Speaker 14: about an extra five years of life expectancy over being
- 13:08Speaker 14: say my height, which is six two or taller.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I'm so sorry for you, and it's gonna be great.
- 13:13Speaker 1: It's gonna be great to live that much long. Do
- 13:16Speaker 1: you understand how many people my family I called after
- 13:19Speaker 1: he told me that last night. I mean, and what's
- 13:21Speaker 1: the reason?
- 13:22Speaker 6: Well, there may be three reasons.
- 13:24Speaker 14: First of all, taller people have more cells, so there's
- 13:26Speaker 14: a better chance that one of those cells go rogue
- 13:28Speaker 14: and you get cancer. Secondly, tall people tend to have
- 13:32Speaker 14: something called higher IGF one, which is a growth hormone,
- 13:36Speaker 14: which is why they're tall, but later in life that
- 13:39Speaker 14: actually causes mortality.
- 13:41Speaker 6: It actually makes sure life. And also, taller people.
- 13:44Speaker 14: They have more load on their heart, on their cardiovascular system,
- 13:48Speaker 14: so they're more likely to get a heart attack. So
- 13:50Speaker 14: it's these three small things that add up to a
- 13:53Speaker 14: handful more years and they're probably gonna be good years.
- 13:56Speaker 1: It's so interesting, isn't it. Yeah, But if you haven't
- 13:59Speaker 1: seen the documentary he did on Netflix, it's How to
- 14:02Speaker 1: Live to Be one hundred? Is that's the title of it.
- 14:03Speaker 6: List to the Blue.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Zone, Lived to one hundred, Secrets to the Blue Zones
- 14:08Speaker 1: and check out the blue zones. But you've got a
- 14:10Speaker 1: new documentary you're working on too, which will be about.
- 14:14Speaker 6: New blue zones.
- 14:15Speaker 14: So we found areas in the world with the highest
- 14:17Speaker 14: healthy life expectancy in America. We can only expect sixty
- 14:20Speaker 14: four good years before we have major disease or disability.
- 14:24Speaker 14: I found places where people are living twelve more good
- 14:28Speaker 14: years than we are in America. And it's a it's
- 14:30Speaker 14: a constellation of a number of simple things we completely
- 14:33Speaker 14: miss And that'll be on National Geographic books and documentary
- 14:37Speaker 14: in January.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Okay, So, Lomelnda is a blue zone in southern California, Right, Yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 1: that's one of them. So hi, Lomolind. If you're listening
- 14:43Speaker 1: Dan Budner, the Blue Zone guy, we call him, stick around.
- 14:47Speaker 1: We're gonna take a quick break. A couple more things
- 14:51Speaker 1: that he shared with me. I want to share with
- 14:52Speaker 1: you that just made me feel good. Like you, it
- 14:55Speaker 1: makes you feel good and it gives you sort of
- 14:57Speaker 1: a navigation for how to live your lif life in
- 15:00Speaker 1: simple ways. He also has food. Did youalize food in
- 15:04Speaker 1: the grocery store is frozen foods without all the sodium
- 15:08Speaker 1: and groud in him?
- 15:08Speaker 7: Right.
- 15:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 14: So if you want to know what a centenarian ate
- 15:11Speaker 14: to live to Bee hundred, you have to know what
- 15:13Speaker 14: she ate as a little girl in middle age and
- 15:15Speaker 14: then lately and we found all the ingredients and we
- 15:19Speaker 14: put them in a line of food called Blue Zones Kitchen.
- 15:21Speaker 14: It's the number one best selling frozen whole plant based food,
- 15:25Speaker 14: seven thousand orders likely to be in the frozen section
- 15:28Speaker 14: of your grocery store.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I'm so convenience and good for you. Coming back with
- 15:33Speaker 1: Dan here in a second, and then I'm going to
- 15:35Speaker 1: rattle off to short people that are going to live
- 15:37Speaker 1: the longest on our staff. So stick around, skiss that fast.
- 15:40Speaker 1: More free gas coming up in a few minutes. I
- 15:42Speaker 1: got you on that, gonna fill your tank. Also, we
- 15:44Speaker 1: have a Ryan's roses. She thinks she's being cheated on,
- 15:48Speaker 1: so we'll get into that in a second. If you've
- 15:50Speaker 1: ever heard about the Blue Zones, Dan Buttner is the founder,
- 15:54Speaker 1: he's the author, he did all the research. He's the explorer.
- 15:57Speaker 1: He's a biker. The guy's a biker. Become friends and
- 16:01Speaker 1: we went biking. Uh just not too long ago, and
- 16:05Speaker 1: uh he has biked from Alaska to Argentina. We biked
- 16:09Speaker 1: like around the track at the high school. But it
- 16:13Speaker 1: was still I still scratched myself, I got hurt. I
- 16:17Speaker 1: ran into a bush. Yeah, look at this.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Wow, that is quite the battle.
- 16:21Speaker 1: You're lucky.
- 16:22Speaker 5: I'm here and it's been so hot lately, but you
- 16:24Speaker 5: guys are biking in this heat.
- 16:26Speaker 1: He went all from Alaska, Argentina. No scratches, high school
- 16:31Speaker 1: track scratches. So uh, he's here now with us this morning.
- 16:36Speaker 1: And he also is telling me something very interesting about
- 16:41Speaker 1: where you get pain in your back and your neck
- 16:43Speaker 1: and how that affects your light. I want to know, well,
- 16:50Speaker 1: and I moan all the time, but explain, explain what
- 16:52Speaker 1: it means well.
- 16:54Speaker 14: So the current current project is to find the part
- 16:58Speaker 14: here is the world who have the where people have
- 17:00Speaker 14: the longest lives in full health. What does full health mean, Well,
- 17:03Speaker 14: it means not having diabetes, or being overweight, or having cancer.
- 17:08Speaker 14: But it turns out that it also means eluding disability.
- 17:12Speaker 14: And the number one disability, the one that costs us
- 17:15Speaker 14: the most, that that creates the most years of misery,
- 17:19Speaker 14: is simple back and neck pain. You know, we're we
- 17:22Speaker 14: We really weren't meant as a species to stand out.
- 17:26Speaker 14: That was an evolutionary.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Supposed to call it.
- 17:28Speaker 14: Well, we were on I mean the early humans, they
- 17:30Speaker 14: were on all four fours, you know, and we learned
- 17:32Speaker 14: how to stand up a few million years ago.
- 17:34Speaker 6: But it turns out that's not good for our back
- 17:36Speaker 6: in our neck.
- 17:37Speaker 1: So as if you do have the back pain or
- 17:40Speaker 1: the neck pain, what do you do to remedy that?
- 17:45Speaker 14: So a few things, So the most powerful things kind
- 17:47Speaker 14: of boring not smoking. Smoking is the number one driver
- 17:51Speaker 14: of back and neck pain.
- 17:52Speaker 6: People don't know that.
- 17:53Speaker 14: But secondly, prophylactic acupuncture works. In other words, going to
- 17:58Speaker 14: the acupuncture every month or so, staying on top of it.
- 18:01Speaker 14: And then of course you want to make sure your
- 18:04Speaker 14: computer is at eye level so you're not bending down
- 18:07Speaker 14: your neck is hanging down.
- 18:09Speaker 6: That makes over time. Since we spend so much time
- 18:12Speaker 6: on our device.
- 18:13Speaker 1: How important are comfortable feet or shoes or insoles?
- 18:18Speaker 14: Well, you know, if you're I think I told you
- 18:20Speaker 14: the story when we started Blue Zones, we brought one
- 18:23Speaker 14: of the academics into a big, big store to show
- 18:27Speaker 14: us what products in the pharmacy are going to most
- 18:31Speaker 14: extend our life. And this professor went right to the
- 18:35Speaker 14: foot products, the doctor Shoal's foot products and said, if
- 18:38Speaker 14: your feet hurt, you don't walk.
- 18:40Speaker 6: And then everything cascades down from there.
- 18:42Speaker 14: You know, the most powerful thing most Americans could do
- 18:47Speaker 14: to add three years of life expectancy. If you go
- 18:50Speaker 14: from being a couch potato zero exercise just twenty minutes
- 18:54Speaker 14: to walking to go get your groceries, to walk into
- 18:56Speaker 14: your friend twenty minutes a day will give you three
- 18:58Speaker 14: years of life expectancy. And there's no pill, there's no supplement,
- 19:02Speaker 14: there's no stem cell out there that's going to give
- 19:04Speaker 14: you that.
- 19:04Speaker 6: So these simple.
- 19:05Speaker 14: Things are we missed them in the barrage of marketing messages.
- 19:09Speaker 14: But there's so many powerful, small things we can do
- 19:12Speaker 14: that can add up to twelve good years of.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Life and free like you can walk for free, exactly.
- 19:18Speaker 1: So I've always been fascinated by his research and by
- 19:21Speaker 1: his projects. So check out look it up Blue Zone
- 19:24Speaker 1: and see where they are the Blue Zones around the world.
- 19:26Speaker 1: The new doc is coming out soon. And the foods
- 19:28Speaker 1: in the grocery store. I didn't even know about that,
- 19:30Speaker 1: but he's got a healthy line of frozen foods are
- 19:32Speaker 1: called Blue Zone Kitchen. Yeah, Blue Zones Kitchen. Dan Butner
- 19:36Speaker 1: my new bestie, Yeah obvious. Yeah. Next time we bike,
- 19:41Speaker 1: he said, I can go in a sidecar though I'm smart.
- 19:43Speaker 1: App thanks. We almost had a pile up and we
- 19:46Speaker 1: almost ran into it. Exactly great to see a pal.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Thanks for coming in, all right, Vin. Yeah see, I'm
- 19:51Speaker 1: one hundred and ten. I don't know U. Yeah, smart guy,
- 19:54Speaker 1: Blue Zones. Fascinating. That documentary that is on Netflix about
- 19:57Speaker 1: Living to be one hundred is amazing too. Oh my god,
- 20:00Speaker 1: it's so good, he said earlier. Short people live longer, Sistney,
- 20:05Speaker 1: what are you five foot?
- 20:07Speaker 2: Baby?
- 20:08Speaker 1: You're gonna live forever.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I am gonna be one hundred and one.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Tany what are you?
- 20:12Speaker 2: Five three?
- 20:14Speaker 1: You're good?
- 20:15Speaker 2: Okay?
- 20:15Speaker 1: Ruby? How tall are you?
- 20:17Speaker 2: I am five to five?
- 20:18Speaker 1: Okay, uh getting up there in intern, Madison. Shorter people
- 20:24Speaker 1: live longer. How tall are you?
- 20:26Speaker 2: I'm around five to eight?
- 20:27Speaker 1: Oh well, I'm sorry. At least well least she's at
- 20:33Speaker 1: intern stage of her life. She's got a long way
- 20:34Speaker 1: to go. I don't know if she'll outbeat me since
- 20:36Speaker 1: I'm five seven by wikipeda, but five eight in real life.
- 20:40Speaker 1: All right? Good nine That's what I told him the
- 20:42Speaker 1: license people, the DMV. But wasn't that great, didn't you?
- 20:47Speaker 1: I just loved it when he told me that. I
- 20:49Speaker 1: got so excited in sleep last night. No. One A
- 20:51Speaker 1: two point seven kiss FM Ryan's Roses right now, it's time.
- 20:57Speaker 1: So it's a public service. If you've never heard this before.
- 21:00Speaker 1: For basically, if you are in a situation where you
- 21:04Speaker 1: think you're being cheated on, you should address it with
- 21:08Speaker 1: that person without us. If you cannot get your peace
- 21:11Speaker 1: of mind, you can reach out to us and we'll
- 21:14Speaker 1: see what we can do simply as a public free service.
- 21:17Speaker 1: And that's where we are right now. With Alexandra in
- 21:20Speaker 1: Eagle Rock, She's written in saying I found some shady
- 21:23Speaker 1: text in my husband's phone. Every time we go out,
- 21:27Speaker 1: he texts, don't text me to an unsaved number. So
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm thinking about that. So a number comes it, just numbers,
- 21:37Speaker 1: a phone number comes in and he says, don't text me.
- 21:41Speaker 1: All right, let's go to Eagle Rock. Alexandra, why do
- 21:45Speaker 1: you think this means he's cheating?
- 21:49Speaker 11: Uh? It just feels a weird timing, like why is
- 21:53Speaker 11: he trying to clear the I feel like he's just
- 21:57Speaker 11: when we're going out together. He's just amazing. You can
- 22:00Speaker 11: pop up on its phone.
- 22:02Speaker 1: So it's an unknown number, but you think he knows
- 22:08Speaker 1: the person who has.
- 22:09Speaker 11: That number, and it seems like it's I'm really suspicious
- 22:16Speaker 11: about it. It's the same number over and over.
- 22:20Speaker 1: It could be spam. It could be an innocent spam.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Ryan, he's getting like frustrated. He's like, don't text me.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Stop texting.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Then why wouldn't he block it if it's spam? True,
- 22:29Speaker 3: I don't.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I don't know how to block. So maybe he doesn't
- 22:32Speaker 1: know how to block.
- 22:35Speaker 11: And why does it keep happening right before we go
- 22:37Speaker 11: out together?
- 22:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't understand the timing of that. Yeah, you
- 22:42Speaker 1: don't want to lose sleep over it, and frankly, you
- 22:44Speaker 1: want the facts and get to the bottom of it,
- 22:46Speaker 1: which we will call your husband next to find out.
- 22:49Speaker 1: We met Alexandra and she said, I think my husband's
- 22:54Speaker 1: doing something behind my back with another woman. It's Ryan's roses.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Every time they go out, he gets texts from a number,
- 23:00Speaker 1: not a name, but a number phone number, and he responds,
- 23:03Speaker 1: don't text me to this unsaved number. She's very suspicious
- 23:08Speaker 1: of it. I think it could be spam, but we
- 23:10Speaker 1: don't know. So we're gonna call your husband right now,
- 23:13Speaker 1: and Alexander, we're gonna ask him who he wants to
- 23:16Speaker 1: send romantic roses to. That's how this works, I mean generally,
- 23:21Speaker 1: the obvious choice would be, oh, the person I'm in
- 23:23Speaker 1: love with gets Ryan's roses or gets roses? Right, not
- 23:27Speaker 1: the case always? Who's he thinking about? Who's top of mind?
- 23:30Speaker 1: We don't know. We're about to find out. Sistany's gonna
- 23:33Speaker 1: make the call, So just be very quiet. We don't
- 23:36Speaker 1: want him to hear that. You'll be on the line listening.
- 23:38Speaker 1: We'll all be very quiet. I need you to say, Ryan,
- 23:42Speaker 1: you have my permission to call, and then his name.
- 23:45Speaker 11: Go ahead, Oh, Ryan, you have my permission to call?
- 23:49Speaker 1: How long you been married to him?
- 23:52Speaker 11: Seven years?
- 23:54Speaker 1: Let's see if we can find out what's going on
- 23:56Speaker 1: with this phone number. Very quiet, here we go. We're
- 23:58Speaker 1: calling yours of seven years right now. It's Ryan's roses. Hello, Hi,
- 24:14Speaker 1: is this Nate? Yes?
- 24:17Speaker 2: This My name is Melanie. I'm calling from La Blooms.
- 24:19Speaker 2: How are you doing this morning?
- 24:21Speaker 1: I'm fine? Great.
- 24:23Speaker 5: You know, we deliver here locally and surrounding areas, and
- 24:25Speaker 5: we're offering a free promotion. It's a free dozen red
- 24:27Speaker 5: roses that you can send to anybody that you like.
- 24:29Speaker 2: They're free.
- 24:32Speaker 8: Okay, are you serious?
- 24:33Speaker 1: I am.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Actually we did this promotion about once a month and
- 24:36Speaker 5: we're just trying to promote our business.
- 24:38Speaker 12: Are you okay?
- 24:38Speaker 8: Are you seriously doing.
- 24:39Speaker 11: This again to me again?
- 24:43Speaker 1: Did you guys do this years ago?
- 24:45Speaker 2: I don't understand.
- 24:46Speaker 11: This is the.
- 24:48Speaker 8: Ryan's Roses, Like, okay, so did my wife call you?
- 24:54Speaker 14: Mm?
- 24:58Speaker 2: No, this is La Blooms.
- 25:03Speaker 8: This is the exact same setup that I had, Like
- 25:05Speaker 8: it was exactly ten years ago. I know what this is.
- 25:08Speaker 8: I'm on the radio right now, aren't.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I Your voice is being broadcast in the radio, Nate,
- 25:12Speaker 1: that is correct. We called you ten years ago for
- 25:16Speaker 1: Ryan's Roses.
- 25:18Speaker 8: Yes, yeah, he was like, I don't remember.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Were you cheating?
- 25:24Speaker 8: I think I like hung up. I just got freaked
- 25:26Speaker 8: out by the whole thing. But I was not cheating.
- 25:29Speaker 8: I wouldn't do that.
- 25:30Speaker 1: It was with.
- 25:32Speaker 8: Megan, and I ended up not staying with her, but
- 25:36Speaker 8: we didn't get married. But no, I didn't cheat. It
- 25:39Speaker 8: was the weirdest It was the weirdest thing. It was
- 25:40Speaker 8: exactly like this, and it didn't help our relationship, by
- 25:44Speaker 8: the way, So thank you for that.
- 25:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Now, well, look, I didn't come looking for you. She
- 25:50Speaker 1: came looking for me. So you're just her issue, not mine.
- 25:55Speaker 1: And the reason I'm on the phone with you now,
- 25:57Speaker 1: not because I wanted to find you, but your wife,
- 26:01Speaker 1: Alexandra wants to know who's texting you. Who's this unknown
- 26:05Speaker 1: number that keeps texting you? And you keep responding by saying,
- 26:09Speaker 1: don't text me here, don't text the number whatever you're saying,
- 26:13Speaker 1: and you're being cagy about it. So who's on the
- 26:16Speaker 1: other end of the phone.
- 26:17Speaker 8: Now, I already explained that to her.
- 26:19Speaker 1: It's it's just spam.
- 26:20Speaker 8: That's just the spam that I say, Hey, I delete it,
- 26:23Speaker 8: and then hey, don't text me.
- 26:26Speaker 11: Nate, you're lying. You're just lying.
- 26:30Speaker 1: I feel like you're lying to so Nate, who is it?
- 26:32Speaker 2: Why is it the same number?
- 26:34Speaker 8: I'm not lying, Okay, I wouldn't do that. I'm not
- 26:39Speaker 8: I can't explain it. I don't know why this is happening,
- 26:44Speaker 8: you know with now my wife you know after it,
- 26:47Speaker 8: but I listen, I would not cheat on you, Alexand
- 26:52Speaker 8: I don't know why you're doing this and putting me
- 26:54Speaker 8: on the radio if you just talk to me. I
- 26:56Speaker 8: just don't understand it.
- 26:57Speaker 1: She doesn't trust you, shouldn't believe you. And Nate, I
- 26:59Speaker 1: got a track record for you to remind you of.
- 27:01Speaker 1: This is the second person that to reach out to
- 27:03Speaker 1: us because they thought you were cheating. So I'm not
- 27:06Speaker 1: quite sure we believe you.
- 27:08Speaker 3: It's not getting loyal.
- 27:10Speaker 8: Well, everybody gets the spam numbers, don't you listen. I
- 27:15Speaker 8: gotta go and you can believe me or you don't,
- 27:17Speaker 8: but I'm not.
- 27:19Speaker 1: It doesn't matter if I do. Alexandra, your wife, do
- 27:21Speaker 1: you believe Nate? Do you believe Alexandra? Nate? Come on, Nate,
- 27:25Speaker 1: take a breath, Nay, breathe, Alexandra, do you believe him?
- 27:30Speaker 11: And I'm wondering maybe Megan wasn't as crazy as you
- 27:32Speaker 11: made her sound.
- 27:34Speaker 1: He hung up, He's gone. Do you believe that? Do
- 27:38Speaker 1: you you know him? Does he sound like he's telling
- 27:40Speaker 1: you the truth?
- 27:44Speaker 11: I don't know, but it doesn't make any sense, and
- 27:46Speaker 11: I feel like it would be stupid to just take
- 27:49Speaker 11: him at his word.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Right now, get that number, find out who's on the
- 27:52Speaker 1: other end. Good luck to you, good luck, Thank you
- 27:57Speaker 1: very much for reaching out. And that's the second time
- 28:00Speaker 1: that guy has been accused of cheating. That's never happened.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Here Ryan's Roses on Air with Ryan Seacrest. Well, I
- 28:12Speaker 1: had my buddy Ben Silverman over to watch the soccer
- 28:18Speaker 1: match yesterday afternoon. He's like your husband. He knows everything
- 28:22Speaker 1: about every player and the history of the two teams
- 28:26Speaker 1: and the player, like whateverything. He knows it. He tells
- 28:31Speaker 1: me all this stuff like I can retain it, and
- 28:33Speaker 1: it's been I don't know, but I watched the last
- 28:38Speaker 1: fifty minutes of the match with me.
- 28:40Speaker 5: Really all you needed because the first half was stressful.
- 28:44Speaker 5: There was like zero zero and then they were Then
- 28:47Speaker 5: England scored and so it was very quiet.
- 28:51Speaker 1: England scored it fifty five minutes in. It looked like
- 28:54Speaker 1: it might be enough as time was running out. Then
- 28:56Speaker 1: eighty five minutes in, Enzo Fernandez he ties it at.
- 29:01Speaker 2: One boom gold.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Then in a stoppage time. I think they call it.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I say, I don't follow soccer. I don't know a
- 29:09Speaker 1: lot of As a matter of fact, I find it
- 29:11Speaker 1: hard to follow the match. The shot is so wide.
- 29:14Speaker 1: I need tight shots.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, yeah, and so wide to see everything and
- 29:18Speaker 5: you think it makes it in, but it like just
- 29:19Speaker 5: missed the net and you're like, ah, I thought that
- 29:21Speaker 5: was a goal.
- 29:22Speaker 1: It's because that the wide shot. I need tight, tight
- 29:24Speaker 1: shots so that the stoppage time ninety two minutes in
- 29:28Speaker 1: a game winner for Argentina. A lot of fans in
- 29:31Speaker 1: La for Argentina. Yeah, and your husband is a die
- 29:35Speaker 1: hard Argentina fan.
- 29:37Speaker 5: Oh yeah, his old family. My father in law was over,
- 29:40Speaker 5: my brother in law, my sister in law.
- 29:41Speaker 2: It was full.
- 29:43Speaker 1: We have it, we have it, played the sound of
- 29:44Speaker 1: Siciny's house at this Argentinian win. It's as if you
- 29:57Speaker 1: had anything to do with it, you know, It's as
- 29:59Speaker 1: if you or take responsibility for something.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I've never seen my father in law.
- 30:04Speaker 1: This happiness is Michael.
- 30:07Speaker 2: That was Oh my gosh, he was. It was just grinny.
- 30:10Speaker 5: I don't even think he was that happy on our wedding,
- 30:12Speaker 5: Like he was so happy.
- 30:14Speaker 1: You know what stood out to me when they cut
- 30:16Speaker 1: away to the fans, there was one kid whose mouth
- 30:18Speaker 1: was opened so wide. I had never seen a mouth
- 30:21Speaker 1: open as wide as it opened. And they got back
- 30:23Speaker 1: to him a couple of times. Then there was a
- 30:25Speaker 1: little boy, an England fan, crying at the end. They
- 30:27Speaker 1: played that back. All right, listen to it. This is
- 30:30Speaker 1: what it sounded like on Fox. Stop time, Go Thino.
- 30:44Speaker 1: The fans of this sport are the most energetic, enthusiastic,
- 30:50Speaker 1: passionate fans of any sport I've ever seen. It is
- 30:55Speaker 1: incredible not to just watch the match with the fans.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Here is Telemundo's coverage, messy and gonna tell you you don't.
- 31:04Speaker 12: Can you hear that?
- 31:17Speaker 1: That is incredible? That is incredible to hear that the
- 31:24Speaker 1: teacher practices his breath control on mine. That's a real hold.
- 31:29Speaker 1: He loses a voice there, he's out of breath. He
- 31:39Speaker 1: still going, He's still going. How many times a guy
- 31:43Speaker 1: gonna do?
- 31:43Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 31:43Speaker 3: God, bless us.
- 31:47Speaker 5: Starting contain no?
- 31:50Speaker 1: Wow.
- 31:50Speaker 2: I love it so much.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I'd love to hear him in real life when things
- 31:55Speaker 1: go well for him? What happens?
- 31:58Speaker 12: All right?
- 31:58Speaker 1: So we got Sunday noon the final match. So it
- 32:04Speaker 1: is going to be Argentina and Spain. So now I
- 32:10Speaker 1: got a buddy telling me all the info. It's going
- 32:13Speaker 1: to be an interesting game. It's gonna be less physical,
- 32:15Speaker 1: more technical, more technical, less physical, very passionate obviously both.
- 32:22Speaker 1: What is Michael, your husband, who is a dieheart Argentine
- 32:25Speaker 1: fan saying.
- 32:26Speaker 5: About it and any perfect world, he would watch this
- 32:29Speaker 5: with his family and whatnot. But I planned a trip.
- 32:31Speaker 5: Who wants to go to Catalina? Not realizing that the
- 32:34Speaker 5: world Cup Final would be this weekend and we will
- 32:38Speaker 5: be on a beach, so we're trying to figure out,
- 32:41Speaker 5: you know, hotspots for the Wi Fi and I'm bringing
- 32:43Speaker 5: my laptop.
- 32:44Speaker 1: And no, no, your husband has the right to stay
- 32:50Speaker 1: at home and watch. I mean he does not have
- 32:52Speaker 1: to go. It's his team, it's the World Cup Final.
- 32:56Speaker 1: You could go. You know they're calling Pomona Buenos Aires.
- 33:00Speaker 1: There are so many fans there celebrating, so you could
- 33:02Speaker 1: roll the Pomone instead of Catalina. There's a lot of
- 33:05Speaker 1: watch parties happening all over there, a lot a lot
- 33:07Speaker 1: of fans in La Are are celebrating this. But I
- 33:12Speaker 1: really believe, Michael, you have an out on this. This
- 33:16Speaker 1: is big. And if Sisty wants to go to Catalina
- 33:21Speaker 1: and let's go to Catalina. I'm going to.
- 33:22Speaker 5: Catalina by myself. We're being our children to the family vacation.
- 33:26Speaker 6: We'll fine.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Then be take your children. Michael can watch the game.
- 33:31Speaker 1: What a dilemma. But I can't wait. You got to
- 33:34Speaker 1: tell me what he decides to do.
- 33:35Speaker 12: That's Sunday.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Congratulations to all of the teams playing yeah and watching
- 33:40Speaker 1: it in my hometown of Atlanta, that was kind of
- 33:42Speaker 1: fun yesterday, and we'll see what happens on Sunday one
- 33:45Speaker 1: of two point seven Kiss FM. So we have a
- 33:47Speaker 1: trending report. I'm guessing this is a Love Island trending
- 33:50Speaker 1: report from Don.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Betcha, because all right, Kenzie was on call her daddy.
- 33:55Speaker 4: It just dropped yesterday and Kenzie and Dylan they got
- 33:58Speaker 4: dumped from the island. They were not part of the
- 34:01Speaker 4: final four, but she went back straight back to California
- 34:04Speaker 4: with him.
- 34:04Speaker 3: That's where Dylan lives.
- 34:06Speaker 4: And when she was on call her daddy, she was
- 34:08Speaker 4: talking about how they planned to make their relationship work,
- 34:11Speaker 4: and she said, I don't want to do long distance.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I want to move here.
- 34:16Speaker 4: So she's from Georgia, but she's talking about picking up
- 34:20Speaker 4: her whole life and moving across the country for this guy.
- 34:23Speaker 4: Now here's the thing. She hasn't confirmed that they're officially
- 34:26Speaker 4: living together yet, but it sounds like that's kind of
- 34:28Speaker 4: still being figured out. But she did talk about finishing
- 34:31Speaker 4: up her nursing school and taking her nursing test out here.
- 34:35Speaker 4: So this isn't just like a summer fling talk. This
- 34:37Speaker 4: is you know, if she's taking her nursing test out here.
- 34:40Speaker 4: It's a big deal. So my question to you is,
- 34:43Speaker 4: when you meet somebody in your long distance, do you
- 34:46Speaker 4: try the long distance for a beat or would you
- 34:48Speaker 4: just go full swing?
- 34:50Speaker 1: Uh? What's full swing?
- 34:52Speaker 2: Moving?
- 34:53Speaker 3: Moving to the state that they live in?
- 34:54Speaker 1: Okay, got it. So I've given a lot of thought
- 34:58Speaker 1: to this in the last two minutes that you're telling
- 35:00Speaker 1: me about this story. And I don't know what they're
- 35:04Speaker 1: I didn't watch the show, so I don't know what
- 35:05Speaker 1: they're like. But I will tell you that one third
- 35:12Speaker 1: of long distance relationships die after three months, So I
- 35:19Speaker 1: don't know true. One third of long distance relationships die
- 35:28Speaker 1: after three months. Why you're not You're not around, You're
- 35:31Speaker 1: not there for those moments. You don't you lose the communication.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Communication is hard when you're in a long distance relationship.
- 35:37Speaker 1: And so my advice would be if they want to
- 35:41Speaker 1: try it temporarily right right of the long distance, they could.
- 35:47Speaker 1: But you're asking me, should she pick up her whole
- 35:49Speaker 1: life and move?
- 35:49Speaker 2: Yes?
- 35:51Speaker 11: I don't.
- 35:53Speaker 4: For you're kind of saying yes she should because three
- 35:56Speaker 4: months it's going to die.
- 35:57Speaker 2: This sounds like a situation for her.
- 36:00Speaker 1: She's more California. Why can't he go to her exactly because.
- 36:05Speaker 5: She wants to be here. Everybody wants to move to California. Yeah,
- 36:09Speaker 5: like it's easy.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I mean, I'm from Georgia. I moved to California, thank you.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Perfect example.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and my relationship did morek out.
- 36:16Speaker 2: She was on a reality show.
- 36:17Speaker 5: Shepura wants to come out here and like act or
- 36:19Speaker 5: do something one hundred percent.
- 36:21Speaker 1: All right, So, uh, I don't know. LDD long distance
- 36:24Speaker 1: doesn't work. In my mind, it just won't work. And
- 36:27Speaker 1: if she's willing to pick up her things and come
- 36:31Speaker 1: into his life here, then let's see. But also, ninety
- 36:37Speaker 1: nine percent of the couples on these shows don't work out.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Now that's the.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Fact that I can get behind.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Yes, they're one percent that it's really amazing.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Yeah, well let's see if these are the one percent.
- 36:46Speaker 1: I can't wait coming on next Raging Waters tickets. I
- 36:50Speaker 1: actually want to go with you. It's so hot. I
- 36:52Speaker 1: want to put on my bathing suits and go with you.
- 36:54Speaker 1: It's too hot. They're next. We're gonna play a game
- 36:57Speaker 1: right now? How hot will it get? It's hot? How
- 37:00Speaker 1: hot will it get? It is really hot when I
- 37:04Speaker 1: work out, I roll up my shorts. You ever see
- 37:07Speaker 1: people roll up their shorts, roll them on up. I
- 37:10Speaker 1: roll them on up. So it's mostly all leg I'm
- 37:14Speaker 1: sleeping in the nakedness.
- 37:16Speaker 2: You're mostly all leg this morning.
- 37:18Speaker 5: Yeah, you're really like you have like two buttons your
- 37:22Speaker 5: short HOODI daddy shorts on.
- 37:24Speaker 12: Me give it to you.
- 37:27Speaker 2: If you all just see what we see right now?
- 37:31Speaker 1: Well, it's hot, it is so hot, like I have
- 37:35Speaker 1: short on.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Excuse us?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, I got Anna on the line. She
- 37:40Speaker 1: is in San Bernardino. Anna, how hot will it get?
- 37:44Speaker 1: That's the game we're gonna play. Are you ready?
- 37:47Speaker 11: Yes?
- 37:47Speaker 12: I am all right.
- 37:49Speaker 1: If you win, you get raging waters tickets to go
- 37:52Speaker 1: cool off in this crazy heat. Here we go. I'll
- 37:56Speaker 1: name a local community in southern California and Ciciny. Well,
- 38:00Speaker 1: guess today's high temperature in that city according to weather
- 38:04Speaker 1: dot com. If she's right, you win automatically. If she's wrong, Anna,
- 38:10Speaker 1: you guess higher or lower? Okay, Okay, here we go.
- 38:15Speaker 1: You gotta get three correct to win. The first one.

- 38:22Speaker 5: Sicany we get guess it's gonna be ninety seven.
- 38:27Speaker 2: In Woodland Hills.
- 38:29Speaker 1: That's not right, So will it be higher or lower?
- 38:32Speaker 1: Than ninety seven based on weather dot Com. Anna, oh higher, No,
- 38:38Speaker 1: it's going to be lower ninety two.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Okay, now we have now we have a gauge. Now
- 38:44Speaker 5: now I'm feeling it out.
- 38:46Speaker 1: We also live in the valley. Feel it out every night?
- 38:49Speaker 12: All right?
- 38:49Speaker 1: Next one, Lancaster. How hot will it get? Sicity?
- 38:54Speaker 2: It gets hot out there that I'm gonna say? Ninety six?
- 39:00Speaker 1: That's wrong? So Anna? Is it higher or lower than
- 39:04Speaker 1: ninety six degrees? The high today in Lancaster? Higher? Yeah? One? O? Two?
- 39:11Speaker 7: Okay?

- 39:13Speaker 1: we go, got one down. Now, get this one here,
- 39:16Speaker 1: Manhattan Beach.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Okay, Manhattan Beach.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Where you gonna go with?
- 39:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with seventy eight?
- 39:21Speaker 1: Seventy eight is wrong, Anna? How hot will it get?
- 39:25Speaker 1: Higher or lower than seventy eight in Manhattan Beach? Nowhere? Higher?
- 39:35Speaker 1: Eighty one degrees?
- 39:36Speaker 2: Eighty one on the coast? That's wild.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Okay, We're gonna Whittier playing the game. How hot will
- 39:43Speaker 1: it get? Because it's just two don hot everywhere?
- 39:44Speaker 2: Yeah?

- 39:54Speaker 1: That's wrong. Anna, is it higher or lower today in

- 41:17Speaker 1: this morning. Clearly she won't tell you the weather. Fun
- 41:20Speaker 1: air with a Ryan Seacrest, Ryan Seacrest and everybody else,
- 41:25Speaker 1: saysan E. Tania in the back room. We have a
- 41:29Speaker 1: local star coming on with us right now who has
- 41:32Speaker 1: gone viral. I mean, I bring up composure. There are
- 41:36Speaker 1: some people who are so laser focused at a task
- 41:40Speaker 1: that they can stay completely composed and focused and do
- 41:44Speaker 1: what they need to do. Rachel Menotov from Katla Channel five,
- 41:49Speaker 1: who's doing a live shot on Tuesday, and she remained
- 41:53Speaker 1: fully focused on her report while a flying cockroach hit
- 41:57Speaker 1: her chest and crawled up the side of her and
- 42:00Speaker 1: she joins us now she's inside. I noticed, just in
- 42:04Speaker 1: case there are any other insects today. Hi Rachel, how
- 42:08Speaker 1: are you nice to see you?
- 42:09Speaker 13: Hi, Ryan, Thanks for having.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Me incredible composure in a live shot. You might if
- 42:16Speaker 1: this has called viral. People are talking about this cockroach
- 42:18Speaker 1: that was, you know, flying and then landing on your chest.
- 42:22Speaker 15: I know, I know, I mean people have been messaging
- 42:26Speaker 15: me for the last two days.
- 42:29Speaker 13: For me, it's what I normally do.
- 42:31Speaker 15: You know, we were doing a live shot about the
- 42:33Speaker 15: extreme heat and it was at the very end of
- 42:37Speaker 15: our report, and the bug started crawling on me, and
- 42:40Speaker 15: I just said to myself, my internal voice was like,
- 42:43Speaker 15: you know what, just keep going, just keep going.
- 42:47Speaker 13: Yeah, I felt it, I mean, tru you not.
- 42:50Speaker 5: Did you think it was a cockroach though? Or did
- 42:52Speaker 5: you like think it was something else?
- 42:55Speaker 15: You know, we saw the cockroaches on the ground, little
- 42:58Speaker 15: did I know.
- 42:59Speaker 13: Little did I know that they fly? So I had
- 43:03Speaker 13: a feeling.
- 43:04Speaker 15: And then when my photographer covered his face and kind
- 43:07Speaker 15: of like ducked behind the camera, I was like, you know,
- 43:09Speaker 15: something's wrong.
- 43:10Speaker 13: You know, he's definitely wrong.
- 43:14Speaker 1: But isn't it funny how you've done so many live
- 43:17Speaker 1: shots and reporting and the cockroach landing on your chest
- 43:21Speaker 1: is what people want to talk about.
- 43:23Speaker 15: Well, you know, the thousands of live shots that I've done,
- 43:30Speaker 15: this one seems to be the most popular.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Do you know? I have to tell you I can
- 43:34Speaker 1: relate in a way. I was hosting the e Live
- 43:39Speaker 1: from the Red Carpet Show at the Oscars and Sasha
- 43:43Speaker 1: Baron Cohen was dressed up as one of his characters
- 43:47Speaker 1: in a movie, and as I was talking to him
- 43:50Speaker 1: or somebody else in my talks, he threw an urn
- 43:54Speaker 1: of ashes onto my jacket and I continued to just
- 43:59Speaker 1: talk on the air, and you know, didn't skip a
- 44:03Speaker 1: beat until I looked down and realized, oh, it was
- 44:07Speaker 1: bis quick made to look like somebody's ashes. And we
- 44:12Speaker 1: continued on. So I kind of know the feeling of
- 44:14Speaker 1: something like that happening. I packed now two jackets. When
- 44:19Speaker 1: I do a live shot, that's so yeah, I have
- 44:22Speaker 1: to have a backup just in case anything like that happens.
- 44:25Speaker 1: But you were remarkably composed. So we wanted to say
- 44:30Speaker 1: thank you for the viral moment, but also the great
- 44:32Speaker 1: local reporting in the heat too, that's not so fun.
- 44:35Speaker 13: Thank you.
- 44:36Speaker 15: I appreciate it. And you know what, our story was important.
- 44:39Speaker 15: It was an important story. We had talked to so
- 44:42Speaker 15: many people, athletes, we talked to a girl's soccer team,
- 44:46Speaker 15: and I just didn't want to derail the story, you know.
- 44:50Speaker 15: I wanted to get the story out there. And I
- 44:52Speaker 15: knew if I took notice of this cockroach that I
- 44:55Speaker 15: wouldn't be able to That.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Would be selfish, That'd be very selfish.
- 44:59Speaker 13: It would be exactly.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Exactly crawled down your shirt.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Honestly, I would have been down the street.
- 45:06Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah, well you know it was hard, but I
- 45:09Speaker 15: I just my voice inside was just like keep going
- 45:12Speaker 15: and then shake it off at the.
- 45:14Speaker 2: End, you know, shake it off at the end, your
- 45:17Speaker 2: wild All.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Right, Well you can see the video. It has gone viral.
- 45:21Speaker 1: And by the way, you know, I got part of
- 45:24Speaker 1: my live TV start in the entertainment department i KTLA
- 45:29Speaker 1: Channel five filling in for Sam Rubin way back to today. Yeah,
- 45:34Speaker 1: so some of my first live TV experience was actually
- 45:37Speaker 1: doing the hits in the newsroom and then going to
- 45:39Speaker 1: the desk.
- 45:39Speaker 15: So I've held that microphone that you were holding exactly exactly.
- 45:43Speaker 13: You know what it's like. You know what it's like.
- 45:46Speaker 1: I do. Well, thank you for coming on and we'll
- 45:49Speaker 1: be watching Channel five.
- 45:50Speaker 13: Take good care, Rachel, thanks so much, thanks for having me.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Thank you, you got it, Bye bye bye.
- 45:57Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 45:57Speaker 1: I mean I would have thought the thing crawled down
- 45:59Speaker 1: my short my pants into any part of my body.
- 46:02Speaker 1: I would have squealed like a high pitched weasel.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Uh huh, Sam, all.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Right, viral video. Rachel menotov Ky tell me five, take
- 46:12Speaker 1: a look at the cockroach. It's very slimmy. Coming on next,
- 46:15Speaker 1: free Gas and that's gonna wrap it up for us today.
- 46:18Speaker 1: On this Thursday, July sixteenth. Thank y'all so very much

- 46:31Speaker 1: If you missed that fact. I was very enthusiastic about
- 46:34Speaker 1: that conversation, So check it out on our podcast. It's
