- 0:05Speaker 1: Launch Control, this is Houston.
- 0:06Speaker 2: We are going to launch.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Five, four, three, two, one.
- 0:17Speaker 4: It's Chris X Radio.
- 0:18Speaker 5: Chris X Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 6: What we need.
- 0:21Speaker 7: Right now is a clear message to the people of
- 0:24Speaker 7: this country. This message must be read in every newspaper,
- 0:27Speaker 7: heard on every radio, seen on every television. This message
- 0:31Speaker 7: must resound throughout the entire internet.
- 0:34Speaker 8: And now, your host.
- 0:35Speaker 9: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Chris X.
- 1:03Speaker 10: Man, is it already Friday?
- 1:05Speaker 4: Is it already Friday, Lukasz? I don't think it's actually Friday,
- 1:13Speaker 4: but it is here. Because why? Because we said so.
- 1:17Speaker 4: That's how we do things.
- 1:18Speaker 10: Good afternoon. Welcome to Chris X Radio. I am the
- 1:21Speaker 10: aforementioned X-Man. Glad to have you here with us as,
- 1:24Speaker 10: of course, we have assumed control of the broadcast. We
- 1:27Speaker 10: will maintain control of this broadcast for the next two hours.
- 1:32Speaker 10: And we come bearing that gift beyond price that is
- 1:35Speaker 10: almost free, ladies and gentlemen. We bring you the spirit
- 1:38Speaker 10: of talk radio via the old radio AM dial airwaves
- 1:42Speaker 10: that has just passed the House of Representatives to make
- 1:46Speaker 10: sure they keep it in vehicles. So that's good. Just
- 1:48Speaker 10: got to get past the Senate. So you can always
- 1:50Speaker 10: listen that way. Or, of course, you can always listen online.
- 1:54Speaker 10: at our website, kscvradio.com. You can watch the videos. Oh, sorry,
- 1:59Speaker 10: before you get to the videos, you can also listen.
- 2:01Speaker 4: On our app.
- 2:03Speaker 10: Download the KSCV Radio app on your smartphone. And then
- 2:07Speaker 10: from the app, you can also go watch our video.
- 2:09Speaker 10: We stream the video of the program all over the interwebs,
- 2:12Speaker 10: whether it's on Rumble or YouTube or TwitterX or Facebook, which,
- 2:19Speaker 10: by the way, Facebook hasn't notified me, Luke Cash.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I don't know. Are we on Facebook? Are we doing
- 2:24Speaker 4: Facebook today?
- 2:24Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Go check it out. Cash is on it.
- 2:28Speaker 10: Cash money. Cash money. He'll go take care of it.
- 2:33Speaker 10: And it is our Friday show on Thursday. You say,
- 2:37Speaker 10: what is the Friday show on Thursday? Eh, just can't
- 2:40Speaker 10: wait for the weekend. Well, not really. The reality is
- 2:46Speaker 10: on Fridays, the Amigos take over from four to six.
- 2:49Speaker 10: And those who understand anything about physics realize that two
- 2:52Speaker 10: objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time.
- 2:58Speaker 10: So we have to move our Friday show. I'm not
- 3:01Speaker 10: moving it to Saturday. That would be insane.
- 3:04Speaker 4: That would be crazy. That would be... So I move
- 3:06Speaker 4: it a day earlier.
- 3:07Speaker 10: We move our Friday show to Thursday, and then we'll
- 3:10Speaker 10: talk about whatever is on your mind today.
- 3:12Speaker 11: 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738.
- 3:21Speaker 4: And, of course, we've got a lot to talk about.
- 3:22Speaker 12: Oh, man.
- 3:23Speaker 10: Coming up here at the bottom of the hour, we'll
- 3:25Speaker 10: catch up with the former mayor of Piney Point, financial.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Analyst, community leader, Aliza Dutt. She'll join us. She's very
- 3:32Speaker 4: politically active.
- 3:33Speaker 10: In fact, she was speaking at commissioner's court this morning
- 3:37Speaker 10: railing against this tax increase that, by the way, yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 10: Harris County, they approved it. the largest property tax hike
- 3:46Speaker 10: in county history. So we'll talk with Aliza Dutt about that.
- 3:49Speaker 10: Obviously a taxpayer here in Harris County. So her taxes
- 3:53Speaker 10: are going up. Your taxes are going up. Oh, we'll
- 3:57Speaker 10: see if the lefties care enough about their affordability that
- 4:01Speaker 10: they'll vote. I don't know, Leslie Briones, Adrian Garcia. It
- 4:05Speaker 10: was three to one, by the way. Guess who was
- 4:08Speaker 10: the only one who voted against it?
- 4:10Speaker 4: That's right. The commissioner whom we had on yesterday, Mr.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Tom Ramsey.
- 4:15Speaker 10: He's the lone precinct three commissioner. He's the lone Republican
- 4:20Speaker 10: left in Harris County. It was three to one. There's
- 4:24Speaker 10: Rodney Ellis voted for it. You know who didn't vote?
- 4:27Speaker 10: Abstained was Lena Hidalgo. Short term, short term Dora the Explorer.
- 4:34Speaker 10: She's she just abstained. She was against it for other reasons.
- 4:39Speaker 10: But we'll get into that. So Harris County has approved
- 4:41Speaker 10: the largest property tax hike in county history. Means your
- 4:46Speaker 10: taxes are going to go up. Depends how much your
- 4:51Speaker 10: house is worth.
- 4:52Speaker 13: Oh, that's right.
- 4:52Speaker 10: Then, of course, the Harris County Appraisal District, they'll keep raising.
- 4:56Speaker 10: My house is like worth one hundred and fifty thousand
- 4:59Speaker 10: more than I paid for it literally like seven.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Eight years ago.
- 5:07Speaker 10: Call me crazy, but I don't think I could sell
- 5:09Speaker 10: it for that, but that's what they'll tax me on.
- 5:11Speaker 10: So there's a reason why I have Betancourt and Associates or,
- 5:14Speaker 10: you know, Betancourt, their property tax appraisal. I'm sorry, they're fighters.
- 5:20Speaker 10: They go and fight my property taxes, make sure to
- 5:22Speaker 10: try to keep them down and they do a fine job.
- 5:24Speaker 10: So I will continue with Betancourt and Associates as long
- 5:28Speaker 10: as they are Betancourt advisors or what? I can't remember
- 5:31Speaker 10: the name of the company. I just know they save
- 5:33Speaker 10: me money every year. So I will keep fighting my
- 5:36Speaker 10: property taxes, especially now that it's going up.
- 5:40Speaker 4: What is it? I've seen various rates.
- 5:43Speaker 10: They say 7.9% capped at 67 cents per $ 100 of
- 5:48Speaker 10: taxable property value.
- 5:50Speaker 4: That's right.
- 5:51Speaker 10: Harris County just can't stop raising your taxes because they
- 5:55Speaker 10: can't stop spending. So, like I said, there's an election
- 6:00Speaker 10: coming up. We'll see if Briones or Garcia gets bumped
- 6:03Speaker 10: from their commissioner's court seat.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Also, we'll see if we can at least.
- 6:06Speaker 10: Put Orlando Sanchez above the corrupt communist Muslim Letitia Plummer
- 6:11Speaker 10: for Harris County judge. So, we'll see about that. When
- 6:15Speaker 10: I say corrupt, I'm referring to her business. She ran
- 6:18Speaker 10: a dental practice, and they just kept getting in trouble. So,
- 6:24Speaker 10: we'll get into that. Okay, also today, GOP Representative Andy Ogles.
- 6:29Speaker 10: Says that AI fear-mongering is akin to global warming and
- 6:32Speaker 10: the killer bee scares.
- 6:34Speaker 4: You guys remember that?
- 6:36Speaker 10: Lucas, are you old enough to remember when we were
- 6:38Speaker 10: all worried about killer bees coming and killing us?
- 6:41Speaker 14: Weren't they coming over from Africa or something?
- 6:44Speaker 4: Well, there was that.
- 6:45Speaker 10: And then we had the killer bees back in the
- 6:47Speaker 10: 70s that took over the Astrodome.
- 6:49Speaker 4: I bet you've never seen that movie.
- 6:51Speaker 13: No, I did not.
- 6:52Speaker 10: Okay, look that up. Killer Bees. I don't remember which
- 6:56Speaker 10: iteration it was. But there was one where they came
- 6:58Speaker 10: to Houston and the Astrodome was featured in the movie.
- 7:01Speaker 10: I don't remember if they took it over or we
- 7:03Speaker 10: hid in the Astrodome from the Killer Bees. But that
- 7:05Speaker 10: was the 70s or early 80s. So that was happening.
- 7:09Speaker 10: And then what was it in the last, I don't know, 10.
- 7:11Speaker 4: 20 years?
- 7:12Speaker 10: We had the Murder Hornets, which we got one out
- 7:15Speaker 10: in Pearland. He's already on the line. So we'll get
- 7:17Speaker 10: to the Murder Hornet out in Pearland. But then it
- 7:20Speaker 10: was murder hornets were going to kill us. They're like,
- 7:24Speaker 10: so it's one thing after another. I tend to agree
- 7:28Speaker 10: with Andy Ogles. This is the new global warming.
- 7:31Speaker 4: AI, going to kill us all.
- 7:33Speaker 10: President Trump said interest rates should be 1% or less
- 7:37Speaker 10: after the Federal Reserve unanimously hiked rates by a quarter
- 7:41Speaker 10: of a percent yesterday. We'll dig into what he said
- 7:44Speaker 10: on True Social. And we can get into that. The
- 7:48Speaker 10: number of Americans filing unemployment benefit claims fell below 200,000
- 7:52Speaker 10: for the fifth time this year.
- 7:54Speaker 4: This is according to new government data.
- 7:58Speaker 6: Hmm.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Looks like things are getting better, according to the Department
- 8:03Speaker 4: of Labor.
- 8:03Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 8:05Speaker 4: That's what's so sad.
- 8:06Speaker 10: I hate to see this because the Trump administration is
- 8:09Speaker 10: really actually doing a lot. Now, I know the war
- 8:12Speaker 10: in Iran has kicked up gas prices, but on every
- 8:15Speaker 10: other level, it's actually doing pretty well.
- 8:17Speaker 4: He does good with the economy.
- 8:19Speaker 10: It just gets drowned out because the media has the
- 8:21Speaker 10: war in Iran to beat over his head every five seconds,
- 8:25Speaker 10: 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- 8:27Speaker 4: 366 days of the year.
- 8:32Speaker 10: So they're going to do that to just really try
- 8:33Speaker 10: to you know, fear monger and out in order to
- 8:36Speaker 10: get Democrats elected. But it's, so it's good news on
- 8:39Speaker 10: the economic front slowly, but surely Trump is once again,
- 8:44Speaker 10: he's offsetting the garbage from the Biden hole. That'll never
- 8:50Speaker 10: be recognized by the propaganda apparatus of the Democrat cult.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Don't even think about it.
- 8:54Speaker 10: Governor Abbott has directed the Texas Water Development Board to
- 8:57Speaker 10: penalize data centers that failed to report their water usage
- 9:01Speaker 10: after state records showed most facilities have ignored the mandatory
- 9:06Speaker 10: survey for years.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Governor Abbott cracking down on the data centers, so.
- 9:14Speaker 4: We'll get into that.
- 9:16Speaker 10: And then from the Chris X-Files kind of, it's not
- 9:20Speaker 10: really Chris X-Files, but it kind of is Chris X-Files,
- 9:22Speaker 10: but it's not really Chris X-Files, but it kind of
- 9:25Speaker 10: is Chris X-Files-ish. I guess nuclear fuel recycling could cut U.S.
- 9:32Speaker 10: waste storage from 100,000 years to hundreds of years.
- 9:39Speaker 9: The U.S.
- 9:39Speaker 10: Aims to add 300 gigawatts of nuclear capacity by 2050
- 9:43Speaker 10: and develop a nuclear fuel recycling strategy that could slash
- 9:48Speaker 10: radioactive waste storage from thousands of years to just hundreds.
- 9:52Speaker 10: So that's a good sign because I do believe nuclear
- 9:55Speaker 10: power will definitely be in our future here in the
- 9:59Speaker 10: United States, but also.
- 10:00Speaker 4: in this world. I think with the UAPs, which is what.
- 10:04Speaker 10: I normally will cover on the Chris X Files and
- 10:06Speaker 10: a lot of other things, whatever is piloting or whatever
- 10:12Speaker 10: these crafts are powered by, I think is either nuclear
- 10:15Speaker 10: or atomic or some sort of anti-gravity. There's another article
- 10:20Speaker 10: I read today about they're trying to work on these
- 10:23Speaker 10: anti-gravity things, these things that have developed their.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Own sort of.
- 10:29Speaker 10: Basically gravitational field. If you can do that, the universe
- 10:33Speaker 10: is the limit. And that's how these objects can travel
- 10:36Speaker 10: from space to the ocean in about a second or two.
- 10:40Speaker 10: And like I said, new videos coming out every day,
- 10:43Speaker 10: people that are filming just regular stuff on their phones.
- 10:46Speaker 10: But the new phones, the new cameras capture so many
- 10:49Speaker 10: more frames per second that they're catching things that you
- 10:52Speaker 10: can't see with the naked eye. And we're getting videos
- 10:54Speaker 10: that they slow down into super slow-mo to where the
- 10:57Speaker 10: person or the animal moving is moving less than, I mean,
- 11:02Speaker 10: just at a very, I mean, isn't even moving. And
- 11:04Speaker 10: then you'll see something jet by and go from one
- 11:07Speaker 10: side of the horizon to the other. there are these
- 11:10Speaker 10: objects that are flying around and we don't know what
- 11:11Speaker 10: they are, but they're going at such a high rate
- 11:15Speaker 10: of speed. That's why we could never really detect.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Them in the past.
- 11:21Speaker 10: There's only one person that I do believe has the
- 11:24Speaker 10: ability to see things like that.
- 11:25Speaker 4: And that's me. I'm just kidding.
- 11:27Speaker 10: No, but when I told people I could see bullets,
- 11:29Speaker 10: they didn't, they didn't believe me, but I've been able
- 11:33Speaker 10: to see bullets since I was a kid. I'm not
- 11:35Speaker 10: talking about just bullets in a gun. When a bullet,
- 11:39Speaker 10: comes out of the end of a gun, depending on
- 11:41Speaker 10: the conditions, you can actually see it. And I remember
- 11:44Speaker 10: as a kid, I've told the story before. Well, you know,
- 11:48Speaker 10: we were, I was hunting up the lease where I
- 11:49Speaker 10: go up to now with my dad and he told
- 11:52Speaker 10: me to stay here and he was going to go
- 11:53Speaker 10: walk around. There was this little meadow and it was
- 11:56Speaker 10: in between two sets of trees. And I just had,
- 11:59Speaker 10: I was kind of moving around. And of course I
- 12:01Speaker 10: didn't know my father had a, it was a 20
- 12:03Speaker 10: gauge shotgun and, at the time so as I walked
- 12:07Speaker 10: around I kind of came up on the meadow but
- 12:09Speaker 10: I was staying back behind the trees in order to
- 12:11Speaker 10: be safe and there was a deer it was a
- 12:13Speaker 10: doe I guess that was right in the middle of
- 12:15Speaker 10: that little meadow and it was leaned its head was
- 12:18Speaker 10: leaning over and was eating and then I saw it
- 12:22Speaker 10: was also a hair a tiny bit foggy not fog
- 12:25Speaker 10: but a slight mist you could see in the air
- 12:27Speaker 10: and And I remember seeing something go, it went right
- 12:31Speaker 10: across the top of her neck.
- 12:33Speaker 4: It missed her.
- 12:34Speaker 10: And then when it did, she felt it and leaned
- 12:36Speaker 10: her head up and the next bullet went right underneath
- 12:39Speaker 10: her neck and missed her.
- 12:40Speaker 4: And then she ran off. And then I hear the boom, boom.
- 12:43Speaker 10: From the shots because he was shooting from probably, I
- 12:45Speaker 10: don't know, 100, 200 yards away. And it was my
- 12:49Speaker 10: dad shooting and I saw the bullets before I heard them.
- 12:53Speaker 10: And then since then, I've had multiple experiences where I'll
- 12:56Speaker 10: go into a gun range and we're shooting and you
- 12:58Speaker 10: get the powder from the gun gets in the air
- 13:00Speaker 10: and you can see the bullet trail. But it's not
- 13:03Speaker 10: just the trail you can see. I can see there's
- 13:06Speaker 10: something making that trail.
- 13:07Speaker 4: I can't make it out. If I didn't know it
- 13:10Speaker 4: was a bullet, I probably wouldn't know what it was.
- 13:12Speaker 4: But I can see that. I've always had really good vision.
- 13:16Speaker 10: Me and my older brother, I think, both had 2010,
- 13:19Speaker 10: 2015 vision forever. And now that I'm older, I have
- 13:21Speaker 10: normal human vision. So we were superhuman vision. I could
- 13:26Speaker 10: have been some sort of a superhero of some sort.
- 13:31Speaker 10: And I have the ability to pick out murder hornets
- 13:35Speaker 10: all the way in Pearland. So there you go. All right. Anyway,
- 13:38Speaker 10: so we got a lot to get into. We'll be
- 13:40Speaker 10: catching up with our guest, Aliza Dutt, former mayor of
- 13:42Speaker 10: Piney Point. She's currently a financial analyst and a community leader.
- 13:46Speaker 10: She ran for office in the primary and lost. We'll
- 13:51Speaker 10: talk a little bit about that, too. But she did
- 13:54Speaker 10: something that so many others don't do. I can't tell
- 13:57Speaker 10: you being in talk radio, I get approached by people constantly.
- 14:00Speaker 10: There are certain people that would reach out every single
- 14:03Speaker 10: time they're running for office.
- 14:04Speaker 4: All of a sudden, they're my best friend again.
- 14:06Speaker 8: Hey, buddy, how's it going?
- 14:07Speaker 4: What's happening there, pal?
- 14:09Speaker 15: Oh, yeah.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Hey, by the way, I'm running for whatever.
- 14:11Speaker 10: And then soon as they lose, they would disappear and
- 14:14Speaker 10: go away. Well, Lisa Dutt did not do that. Not
- 14:19Speaker 10: that she ever, she'd never reached out to me ever.
- 14:22Speaker 10: So she was running for political office and then I
- 14:25Speaker 10: didn't know her. She's a mayor of Piney Point and
- 14:28Speaker 10: then lost and then became even more politically active. This
- 14:33Speaker 10: is how it should be. If you're going to get involved,
- 14:36Speaker 10: you need to get involved on a level, not just
- 14:39Speaker 10: when it suits you. And she clearly has not only,
- 14:42Speaker 10: you know, hers, but everybody else's interest in mind, especially
- 14:46Speaker 10: the residents of Harris County, Houston, Texas, but also nationally.
- 14:52Speaker 10: She cares.
- 14:53Speaker 4: She's very smart.
- 14:54Speaker 10: Uh, I ran into her, uh, cash. Olene and I
- 14:56Speaker 10: went to go eat a few weeks ago and at a,
- 14:59Speaker 10: at a, what was it? Harris County barbecue place, smokehouse.
- 15:02Speaker 10: And there was a Republican meeting going on.
- 15:04Speaker 4: She was there. So I met her. And then we,
- 15:05Speaker 4: of course we got, it was our friend who works
- 15:07Speaker 4: for governor Abbott. Uh, it was her name, Tracy. It
- 15:12Speaker 4: was Sarah Tracy. That's it.
- 15:14Speaker 10: So Sarah's, Sarah's a hoot. She's cool too. But, uh,
- 15:19Speaker 10: But like I said, once again, to my point, she's
- 15:21Speaker 10: very politically active. And she was at commissioner's court today
- 15:24Speaker 10: speaking out on why, giving them all the logical reasons
- 15:27Speaker 10: why these clowns shouldn't vote to raise our taxes, especially
- 15:32Speaker 10: the largest property tax hike in county history. They ignored her.
- 15:39Speaker 10: which makes me wonder, should she run for office on
- 15:41Speaker 10: something else? Well, we'll ask her. She's coming up here
- 15:43Speaker 10: at the bottom of the hour. You're listening to Chris
- 15:45Speaker 10: X radio. Let's take a very short break.
- 15:47Speaker 4: We'll come back.
- 15:48Speaker 10: Well, uh, I don't know if we'll have time to, well,
- 15:51Speaker 10: now we got Toby on the line. Maybe I'll get
- 15:54Speaker 10: you what? Maybe I'll try to get a phone. We'll
- 15:57Speaker 10: try to get a phone call in maybe in.
- 15:59Speaker 4: The next segment.
- 16:00Speaker 10: And then of course we'll take all your calls after that,
- 16:02Speaker 10: because it's our Friday show on Thursday. And those who
- 16:07Speaker 10: will hold longer will get rewarded with a little extra time.
- 16:11Speaker 10: I'm not going to say what they are, whether they're
- 16:14Speaker 10: run-ons or murder hornets or whatever.
- 16:19Speaker 4: You're listening to Chris X Radio.
- 16:21Speaker 9: Don't you go anywhere.
- 16:21Speaker 4: We'll be right back.
- 16:26Speaker 8: The revolution continues after this. Chris X Radio.
- 16:32Speaker 16: Chris X.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Hi, this is Lewis Flory.
- 16:34Speaker 17: You've been relying on AbilityTree experts for decades to protect
- 16:37Speaker 17: and maintain the valuable trees on your property. You can
- 16:40Speaker 17: continue to rely on the same professional services. So call
- 16:43Speaker 17: AbilityTree experts at 281-441-4179 today.
- 16:48Speaker 8: And now for the bonus round. Who imposes property taxes?
- 16:53Speaker 8: State government. Nice try, but no.
- 16:57Speaker 11: Local governments.
- 16:59Speaker 18: Correct.
- 17:00Speaker 8: And we have a winner.
- 17:02Speaker 9: Here's Governor Greg Abbott on his plan to control property taxes.
- 17:06Speaker 15: The state of Texas does not impose a property tax.
- 17:09Speaker 15: Only local governments impose property taxes. One of the reasons
- 17:13Speaker 15: why your property taxes are going up is because local
- 17:15Speaker 15: governments are increasing their spending. So the first thing we
- 17:19Speaker 15: got to do is to stop the spending that leads.
- 17:23Speaker 8: To property tax increases.
- 17:25Speaker 15: You should have a say on whether or not your
- 17:27Speaker 15: property taxes go up. It should be a vote that
- 17:29Speaker 15: requires two-thirds vote before any property tax increase can ever
- 17:34Speaker 15: be imposed on our fellow Texans. You're going to be
- 17:36Speaker 15: able to live in your home for the rest of
- 17:38Speaker 15: your lives without being priced.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Out of it.
- 17:41Speaker 9: Protecting homeowners, lowering property taxes. That's Governor Greg Abbott.
- 17:45Speaker 15: Political ad paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott.

- 19:17Speaker 13: Or I'm looking to build a new swimming pool.
- 19:22Speaker 20: Join me this weekend for the Backyard Bay Radio Program,
- 19:26Speaker 20: now at our new time, every Saturday morning at 9 a.m.,
- 19:30Speaker 20: right here on The Voice.
- 19:34Speaker 5: You can't stop him. You can only hope to contain him.
- 19:37Speaker 8: Chris X Radio.
- 19:49Speaker 10: I don't even think I can be contained. Lucas, do
- 19:53Speaker 10: you think anyone can contain me at this point?
- 19:56Speaker 16: Haven't seen it yet.
- 19:59Speaker 10: We've known each other a long time, actually, too. How
- 20:02Speaker 10: long have we known each other, Cash O'Lean?
- 20:04Speaker 1: It's been a long three months since I got hired.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Yeah, because I definitely didn't know you before that.
- 20:12Speaker 17: Oh, before this world.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's been a couple years.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Yeah, about 20.
- 20:16Speaker 10: About 20, probably maybe 24, 25 years, something like that.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Man, I've known you since you were wet behind the ears.
- 20:25Speaker 4: I won't say why.
- 20:28Speaker 10: You were literally straight out of college.
- 20:33Speaker 4: When I worked for CBS radio, uh, Mr. Cash O'Lean,
- 20:36Speaker 4: I think you, was it, did you intern for the rockets?
- 20:39Speaker 8: Is that what it was?
- 20:41Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 20:41Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 20:41Speaker 17: With Craig Ackerman.
- 20:43Speaker 9: Okay.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Oh, Craig Ackerman was cool. Uh, or probably still is
- 20:46Speaker 4: very cool. Anyway.
- 20:48Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 20:48Speaker 10: I remember you, I seen you over there work for
- 20:50Speaker 10: a certain someone that was, was a treat to say
- 20:54Speaker 10: the least. And, uh, I remember we ended up hiring
- 20:58Speaker 10: you over at the, uh, the business station and I
- 21:01Speaker 10: put you to work. It only took me about, what, six, eight,
- 21:04Speaker 10: maybe a year or two years to get you trained up,
- 21:06Speaker 10: but it took.
- 21:07Speaker 4: A little while.
- 21:08Speaker 16: Slow but steady, man.
- 21:10Speaker 10: This is true.
- 21:12Speaker 4: I still will.
- 21:13Speaker 10: Never forget this to this day. I love the fact
- 21:16Speaker 10: that you were one of the only employees I've ever
- 21:19Speaker 10: had that would bust yourself. Anytime you didn't do something right,
- 21:22Speaker 10: you made a mistake. You literally would call me because
- 21:24Speaker 10: at the time it was a daytime or station. So
- 21:26Speaker 10: if you were late to sign it on or whatever,
- 21:28Speaker 10: you literally would call me in the morning and say, Hey.
- 21:30Speaker 4: I'm late. I'm, I'm getting it done. I'm sorry.
- 21:33Speaker 10: I'll be like most everybody else who ever worked for
- 21:36Speaker 10: would not.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Work for me at the time. I was running things
- 21:38Speaker 4: over there.
- 21:39Speaker 10: Would not let me know. I would have to find
- 21:41Speaker 10: out later by someone else.
- 21:46Speaker 4: It was insane.
- 21:47Speaker 10: But anyway, so you don't have a guilty conscience, that's
- 21:50Speaker 10: for sure. But that being said, anytime you screwed up,
- 21:53Speaker 10: I do believe you're trustworthy.
- 21:55Speaker 4: I think. I try.
- 21:56Speaker 13: I try.
- 21:56Speaker 1: I mean, you got real tired of me calling you
- 21:58Speaker 1: at 5 a.m.
- 21:59Speaker 2: In the morning.
- 22:00Speaker 4: I get a phone call at 5.20 in the morning. Hey, boss,
- 22:03Speaker 4: I'm almost there, but I'm running a little late.
- 22:06Speaker 10: I'm like, okay, just... Just do your job. I'm going
- 22:09Speaker 10: back to sleep.
- 22:12Speaker 8: Yeah, I started dreading that. Just do your job.
- 22:15Speaker 13: And I was like, oh, God, I'm screwing up.
- 22:18Speaker 4: But that being said, you always did it.
- 22:20Speaker 10: Did it fine.
- 22:20Speaker 4: And then you've gone on to.
- 22:21Speaker 10: Make your way through the world to be all big
- 22:24Speaker 10: and famous and amazing and doing amazing graphics and AI and.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Crazy stuff. Anyway, it is our Friday show on Thursday.
- 22:33Speaker 10: So.
- 22:35Speaker 10: We're reminiscing over here about 20-something years. A lot of
- 22:37Speaker 10: people don't realize I've known Lucas for that long. He
- 22:40Speaker 10: even gets shout-outs on other radio shows. I won't tell
- 22:43Speaker 10: you what show I was listening to, but I may
- 22:44Speaker 10: have been listening to another radio show, and they were
- 22:47Speaker 10: shouting out your abilities not only as a radio producer,
- 22:52Speaker 10: which you're very good at, but also your ability as
- 22:55Speaker 10: a video producer slash AI extraordinaire. So does this mean
- 23:01Speaker 10: when AI takes over the world and exterminates humanity, are
- 23:04Speaker 10: you going to be one of the ones they spare
- 23:05Speaker 10: because of your friendly AI relationship?
- 23:08Speaker 8: I always say please and thank you. I know it's
- 23:10Speaker 8: a robot, but, you know, you never know.
- 23:12Speaker 10: Okay. It is a robot, but it seems if you're polite,
- 23:17Speaker 10: it seems like it would get you further.
- 23:19Speaker 21: So.
- 23:21Speaker 10: Anywho, all right, well, it looks like Toby dropped off,
- 23:23Speaker 10: by the way. So, all right, Toby, we'll get to
- 23:25Speaker 10: you later. We got the murder hornet locked and loaded,
- 23:28Speaker 10: but we do need to take a break and then
- 23:29Speaker 10: come back and catch up with our guest. There was
- 23:31Speaker 10: actually some important stuff happening today. Harris County has approved
- 23:34Speaker 10: the largest property tax in county history.
- 23:37Speaker 4: We knew it was coming.
- 23:38Speaker 10: We talked with the commissioner yesterday on the program, Tom Ramsey.
- 23:42Speaker 10: He was the only one who voted against it. So
- 23:46Speaker 10: that is, as we expected, good. So he's the only
- 23:49Speaker 10: one really looking out to pay any economic sense to
- 23:53Speaker 10: the taxpayers of Harris County. But we have Aliza Dutt,
- 23:57Speaker 10: the former mayor of Piney Point. She's a financial analyst.
- 24:00Speaker 10: She'll be joining us here in the next segment. We're
- 24:02Speaker 10: going to talk with her about she actually ran for office,
- 24:05Speaker 10: didn't win in the primary, and has been as politically active,
- 24:09Speaker 10: if not more, than she was before. I can't tell
- 24:13Speaker 10: you how many different people I've come in contact with
- 24:15Speaker 10: over the years that, once again, they're politically active, and
- 24:18Speaker 10: they are the most conservative, and I'm the greatest, Chris.
- 24:20Speaker 10: You've got to talk about me on your radio show
- 24:22Speaker 10: every day. This woman has never asked me to talk
- 24:24Speaker 10: about her. She's never— and like I said, I reached out
- 24:27Speaker 10: to get her on the program. Because she actually got
- 24:30Speaker 10: as politically active, if not more, after, which means she
- 24:34Speaker 10: actually cares about the community that she lives in and
- 24:36Speaker 10: other people. And maybe we need more people like her
- 24:39Speaker 10: running for office. So we'll talk about that. She also
- 24:41Speaker 10: spoke at Harris County Commissioner's Court today. So we can
- 24:44Speaker 10: talk about that as well.
- 24:45Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:45Speaker 10: You're listening to Chris X Radio. Let's take a very
- 24:47Speaker 10: short break. We'll come back, catch up with Aliza Dutt.
- 24:50Speaker 10: She joins us here next.
- 24:52Speaker 4: Don't you go anywhere.
- 24:59Speaker 5: Call chris x radio now 281-558-ksev the three amigos.
- 25:08Speaker 23: You all are appointment listening i listen to you every
- 25:12Speaker 23: friday afternoon everything stops for.
- 25:14Speaker 5: You all the three amigos make an appointment every friday
- 25:17Speaker 5: afternoon at four on the voice of texas.
- 25:21Speaker 24: What do we really know about james talarico Telerico said.
- 25:25Speaker 25: Defending trans Texas is something we have to do every day.
- 25:28Speaker 24: Telerico supported using taxpayer dollars for sex change surgeries on
- 25:32Speaker 24: young children. Claimed denying your child's gender identity is abusive.
- 25:37Speaker 24: Said the trans community needs abortion care too. and even
- 25:40Speaker 24: called Jesus a radical feminist and said God is non-binary.
- 25:45Speaker 25: Defending trans Texas is something we have to do every day.
- 25:49Speaker 12: But it gets worse.
- 25:50Speaker 24: James Tallarico voted to allow biological men access to women's
- 25:54Speaker 24: bathrooms in schools and for biological boys to play in
- 25:58Speaker 24: girls' sports, saying some things are more important than fair
- 26:02Speaker 24: competition in sports.
- 26:04Speaker 25: Defending trans Texas is something we have to do every day.
- 26:07Speaker 24: Radical liberal James Tallarico. For they, them, not you. Texas

- 26:39Speaker 8: When it comes to garage.
- 26:40Speaker 10: Doors, no one knows more.
- 26:42Speaker 27: Than the doctor.
- 26:43Speaker 28: Garage Door Doctor.
- 26:46Speaker 8: Hi, I'm Tommy Mello, CEO of Garage Door Doctor.
- 26:49Speaker 12: Here's a question for you. When was the last time
- 26:51Speaker 12: you thought about your garage door? Most people never do.
- 26:55Speaker 12: The problem is that your garage door may be the
- 26:56Speaker 12: hardest working appliance in your home. It opens and closes
- 26:59Speaker 12: thousands of times every year, lifting hundreds of pounds each
- 27:03Speaker 12: and every time. You change the oil in your car.
- 27:06Speaker 12: You service your air conditioner. Your garage door deserves the
- 27:09Speaker 12: same attention. A simple tune-up catches worn parts before they fail.
- 27:13Speaker 12: A tune-up keeps everything running quietly and can add years
- 27:16Speaker 12: of life to your system. And that's why preventative maintenance
- 27:20Speaker 12: is one of the smartest investments you can make for
- 27:22Speaker 12: your garage door. Garage doors usually warn you before they break.
- 27:26Speaker 12: We're here to help before that happens. Call today for
- 27:29Speaker 12: our $ 29. 95 tune-up special. From repairs to upgrades, call Garage

- 27:39Speaker 2: From the KSEV Weather Center, tonight expect partly cloudy skies
- 27:42Speaker 2: and humid conditions with a low of 73. Tomorrow will
- 27:45Speaker 2: be mostly sunny, very warm and less humid with a
- 27:47Speaker 2: high of 96. Tomorrow night will be clear with a
- 27:50Speaker 2: low of 72. On Saturday, anticipate mostly sunny skies and
- 27:54Speaker 2: very warm temperatures with a high of 95. Sunday will
- 27:58Speaker 2: also be mostly sunny and remain very warm with a
- 28:00Speaker 2: chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and a high
- 28:03Speaker 2: of 94. With the KSEV Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather
- 28:06Speaker 2: Meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Back to Chris X Radio on The Voice of Texas.
- 28:29Speaker 10: Welcome back to Chris X Radio. It is time to
- 28:31Speaker 10: catch up with our guest. Our guest today is Aliza Dutt,
- 28:35Speaker 10: former mayor of Piney Point. She's a financial analyst and
- 28:38Speaker 10: a community leader, very politically active. In fact, she was
- 28:42Speaker 10: at Harris County Commissioner's Court today and actually spoke, was
- 28:47Speaker 10: trying to, I guess, encourage Harris County Commissioners not to
- 28:51Speaker 10: vote for the largest property tax hike in county history. Well, Well,
- 28:57Speaker 10: they ignored her advice and went ahead and did it anyway.
- 29:00Speaker 10: So now they've approved the largest property tax hike in
- 29:02Speaker 10: county history. So being a Harris County resident and a
- 29:05Speaker 10: community leader, she is actively involved. And as I mentioned
- 29:08Speaker 10: before the break, she ran for office and then didn't win,
- 29:12Speaker 10: but has been at least as politically active, if not more,
- 29:16Speaker 10: since then, which is the exact opposite I've seen with
- 29:18Speaker 10: so many people over the years who become my best
- 29:21Speaker 10: friend all of a sudden, and then they run for office,
- 29:23Speaker 10: they don't win, and they disappear and go away. She,
- 29:26Speaker 10: once again, I had to ask her to come on
- 29:28Speaker 10: the program. I have never had her on the program.
- 29:30Speaker 10: She joins us now. Elisa, thank you so much for
- 29:32Speaker 10: being here today. I appreciate your time.
- 29:34Speaker 29: Oh, Chris, thanks.
- 29:35Speaker 23: Thank you so much for having me on your program.
- 29:37Speaker 16: Well, I'm glad.
- 29:38Speaker 4: To have you on the show.
- 29:40Speaker 10: One of the things I noticed about you was you
- 29:43Speaker 10: ran for office, and Dave, you want to mention the
- 29:44Speaker 10: office or whatever, but you ran in the primary, you
- 29:46Speaker 10: lost in the primary, and you did something so many
- 29:50Speaker 10: others don't do, which is you didn't disappear. You didn't
- 29:53Speaker 10: just go away. You didn't go back to other things,
- 29:56Speaker 10: you have stayed not only politically active but very politically
- 29:59Speaker 10: active and engaged, which shows that, one, not only are
- 30:02Speaker 10: you a community leader, but you've stayed involved and you're
- 30:06Speaker 10: actively trying to make this sort of a change when
- 30:09Speaker 10: you see that we're at times where you've got these
- 30:11Speaker 10: radicals like on commissioners' court that are jacking up our
- 30:14Speaker 10: tax rate.
- 30:15Speaker 4: First of all, I appreciate you.
- 30:17Speaker 10: Doing that, because I've seen the opposite so many different times.
- 30:20Speaker 10: Were you as politically active always, or is this something
- 30:23Speaker 10: that came a little later after being the mayor of
- 30:26Speaker 10: Piney Point?
- 30:28Speaker 21: Yeah, well, I've.
- 30:28Speaker 23: Always been very politically interested and active and, of course,
- 30:34Speaker 23: aware of the issues that are going on. And I
- 30:37Speaker 23: was on city council and then mayor of Piney Point. And,
- 30:40Speaker 23: of course, that increased.
- 30:43Speaker 28: I did.
- 30:43Speaker 23: I ran for political office, Harris County judge. I'm very,
- 30:47Speaker 23: very proud and grateful for the amount of votes I received.
- 30:51Speaker 23: But as politicians, I think many tend to forget that
- 30:57Speaker 23: the people, the people elect you to represent them. And
- 31:01Speaker 23: just because either you win an election or you lose
- 31:05Speaker 23: an election, you cannot forget that you are representing the people.
- 31:10Speaker 23: They expect you to be active and be their voice.
- 31:15Speaker 23: And you can't disappear if then your motives weren't right
- 31:20Speaker 23: or pure if you just simply disappear if things don't
- 31:23Speaker 23: turn out for you personally.
- 31:25Speaker 10: Yeah. And once again, I want to make the point that,
- 31:27Speaker 10: first of all, that I didn't have you on the
- 31:29Speaker 10: program before. I didn't know you and I hadn't met
- 31:30Speaker 10: you and never had you on the program before.
- 31:33Speaker 4: But so many times, yeah, I've been.
- 31:35Speaker 10: Doing this for here on KCV for about eight years now,
- 31:38Speaker 10: but I've been doing talk radio for at least 20 years.
- 31:41Speaker 10: And over the years, so many times I've had these
- 31:43Speaker 10: people that come and run for office. And once again,
- 31:45Speaker 10: they're the most conservative.
- 31:47Speaker 5: This, that.
- 31:47Speaker 4: They're going to be there.
- 31:48Speaker 10: They care about the community. And then the moment they lose,
- 31:50Speaker 10: they disappear. And now not only with that, then now
- 31:54Speaker 10: we find ourselves in a time where, you know, maybe
- 31:57Speaker 10: John Cornyn could have talked to you a little bit
- 31:59Speaker 10: before his latest attempt after... getting beat in his primary,
- 32:03Speaker 10: he seems to have turned against those people who voted
- 32:06Speaker 10: for him and then now didn't vote for him, which
- 32:08Speaker 10: shows that it was clearly more personal than it was
- 32:11Speaker 10: about the community. You have shown the exact opposite, which
- 32:14Speaker 10: is more like real leadership. And not only that, you know,
- 32:17Speaker 10: you've won races. But, you know, as the mayor of
- 32:19Speaker 10: Piney Point, but you're a financial analyst, you clearly understand economics,
- 32:24Speaker 10: which probably explains why you were at commissioner's court earlier
- 32:28Speaker 10: this morning. Let's talk a little bit about what you
- 32:30Speaker 10: saw and what you witnessed over there. I know you
- 32:32Speaker 10: got up and spoke.
- 32:33Speaker 22: Yes.
- 32:34Speaker 4: I watched the clip of the video.
- 32:35Speaker 10: You tried to get them to listen to Reason, but
- 32:38Speaker 10: apparently they were more interested in getting more of our
- 32:40Speaker 10: tax dollars to stick in their little pockets for their
- 32:43Speaker 10: pet projects because they went ahead and voted to raise
- 32:46Speaker 10: our property taxes, the largest tax hike in county history.
- 32:49Speaker 10: Tell us about what you saw and then, of course,
- 32:51Speaker 10: what you told us.
- 32:51Speaker 7: Sure.
- 32:53Speaker 23: It's remarkable. As Commissioner Ramsey has said so many times,
- 32:58Speaker 23: and I absolutely agree with him, we don't have a
- 33:01Speaker 23: revenue problem in Harris County. We have a spending problem.
- 33:05Speaker 23: And I went there and many of us went there
- 33:08Speaker 23: to Commissioner's Court this morning to say, very simply, stop requiring,
- 33:14Speaker 23: stop making us dig into our pocketbooks and our wallets
- 33:18Speaker 23: to pay for your spending spree. And when I look
- 33:22Speaker 23: at this, for example, as you've mentioned, the $ 327 million increase,
- 33:26Speaker 23: which is 12% more than last year, I know that
- 33:31Speaker 23: the other side argues, well, these are state and federal mandates,
- 33:35Speaker 23: unfunded mandates, and blaming Trump and Abbott for the spending
- 33:40Speaker 23: tax increase. Well, will the budget increase? Well, No, if
- 33:45Speaker 23: you really take a look at the numbers, that's not so.
- 33:47Speaker 23: For example, the budget includes, for example, $ 50 million in
- 33:52Speaker 23: pay equity raises and new employees. You know, pay increases.
- 33:56Speaker 23: That is not mandated by the state or by the
- 33:59Speaker 23: federal government. This is very interesting. $ 89 million in increased
- 34:04Speaker 23: health care costs, including some individuals who don't even need
- 34:10Speaker 23: to pay their monthly employee premiums. I don't know about you,
- 34:14Speaker 23: but I would be hard pressed. I don't think I
- 34:16Speaker 23: know anyone in the private sector who doesn't pay a
- 34:19Speaker 23: premium for their health care. That's unheard of. And for example,
- 34:25Speaker 23: another is the $ 58 million to continue those ARPA funds
- 34:31Speaker 23: and other special funds that they want to continue on
- 34:35Speaker 23: our dime. But one thing I really did know, one
- 34:39Speaker 23: area I've been quite active in is the victim, the
- 34:43Speaker 23: crime victims' rights in Harris County. As you know, residents
- 34:49Speaker 23: have said time and time again, there's nothing more important
- 34:52Speaker 23: than raising our families in safe neighborhoods. And so what
- 34:56Speaker 23: do we see? We see, for example, in the budget,
- 35:00Speaker 23: $ 17 million to expand the public defender's office for the
- 35:05Speaker 23: benefit of criminals and offenders. However, we see a minor,
- 35:09Speaker 23: a fraction of that for crime victims and their families.
- 35:13Speaker 23: You know, I think one million is allocated to domestic
- 35:18Speaker 23: violence survivors and protecting them and their identity and some others,
- 35:23Speaker 23: some other smaller programs to help offenders stop offending, not
- 35:28Speaker 23: to the crime victims and support. So we have it's
- 35:32Speaker 23: a topsy turvy world in Harris County. It seems like,
- 35:35Speaker 23: you know, we're more focused on defending the criminals than
- 35:38Speaker 23: we are than protecting innocent victims.
- 35:41Speaker 10: You know, that's become a long party lines here as
- 35:44Speaker 10: of late. And back in the old days, it wasn't
- 35:46Speaker 10: quite that way. I know you've been around long enough
- 35:48Speaker 10: to remember a time when there wasn't a huge portion
- 35:51Speaker 10: of society that was rallying around people that are committing
- 35:54Speaker 10: these crimes over top of those people that are being victimized,
- 35:57Speaker 10: the only unwilling participant in the process of a crime.
- 36:01Speaker 10: But unfortunately, that's where we are. I've interviewed Andy Kahn
- 36:04Speaker 10: on my program for the last 20 plus years. So
- 36:06Speaker 10: he's one of the few victims advocates that works on
- 36:09Speaker 10: behalf of the victims. But once again, the city of
- 36:11Speaker 10: Houston determined they didn't need somebody like that anymore. So
- 36:14Speaker 10: they seem to be far more interested in the offenders
- 36:18Speaker 10: than they do the victims.
- 36:19Speaker 4: So I'm first of all, I'm glad to hear you
- 36:21Speaker 4: say that. But it's true. That's where we are now.
- 36:23Speaker 10: And then we got people like like said on commissioners
- 36:26Speaker 10: court here in Harris County that have determined. And I
- 36:29Speaker 10: think you and the commissioner who had on the program
- 36:31Speaker 10: yesterday said, absolutely nail it. We don't have a, a, a,
- 36:35Speaker 10: a spending problem or, or we don't have a revenue problem.
- 36:39Speaker 23: Yes. So that's absolutely right.
- 36:42Speaker 18: Yes.
- 36:43Speaker 10: Well, we just, we watch them spend and spend and spend.
- 36:46Speaker 10: And no matter how much it is, it's never enough.
- 36:49Speaker 10: So they continually go back and reach in our pockets
- 36:51Speaker 10: for more money.
- 36:52Speaker 4: I imagine.
- 36:54Speaker 23: And they don't seem to understand that every dollar that
- 36:56Speaker 23: they take from our pocket, that's, You know, I mean,
- 37:01Speaker 23: these are residents. They can't buy as many Christmas presents
- 37:03Speaker 23: or have a smaller Thanksgiving dinner or their budget at
- 37:06Speaker 23: the end of the month is going to be lower. And,
- 37:08Speaker 23: you know, so these are real people, real families. And again,
- 37:13Speaker 23: commission to some commissioners, not Tom Ramsey, of course, have
- 37:17Speaker 23: forgotten that we are the ones who pay their salaries
- 37:20Speaker 23: and fund that budget.
- 37:23Speaker 10: Yeah, and I'm hoping because of people that are politically
- 37:25Speaker 10: active like yourself and people like me here, that people,
- 37:28Speaker 10: we remind those as they come up for re-election that,
- 37:31Speaker 10: you know what, maybe it's not a good idea to
- 37:33Speaker 10: run on, you know, budgetary things. And while they're giving
- 37:37Speaker 10: themselves or their friends or their co-workers raises, that, you
- 37:41Speaker 10: know what, when it comes to affordability, you know, we
- 37:43Speaker 10: don't get to vote on our own raises. We have
- 37:45Speaker 10: to earn them, which is very different because when they
- 37:48Speaker 10: do that. So maybe we can remind them. We're talking
- 37:50Speaker 10: with Elisa Dutt, former mayor.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Of Piney Point.
- 37:53Speaker 10: She's a financial analyst, which explains why you're able to
- 37:55Speaker 10: go through the numbers. When you were at Commissioner's Court
- 37:59Speaker 10: earlier today, were there more people there saying, hey, should
- 38:02Speaker 10: we maybe think about this and not raise the taxes,
- 38:05Speaker 10: the highest ever in county history? Or were there a
- 38:07Speaker 10: lot of people there actually considering saying, hey, let's, yeah,
- 38:10Speaker 10: let's raise taxes.
- 38:11Speaker 4: Let's do this.
- 38:12Speaker 23: Well, there was a mix. There were certainly a group
- 38:15Speaker 23: of us more on the conservative side and also those
- 38:20Speaker 23: on the other side as well. that were protesting the
- 38:25Speaker 23: most significant property tax hike in history. And so it
- 38:31Speaker 23: was nice. I will be very frank, and I have
- 38:36Speaker 23: been in commissioner's court for many times before, and there
- 38:41Speaker 23: are very few people, unfortunately, who are providing comment and
- 38:47Speaker 23: and giving testimony. So it was great. I know the
- 38:52Speaker 23: Harris County Republican Party had a protest outside and then
- 38:55Speaker 23: encouraged our base to come out in protest of this
- 38:59Speaker 23: property tax increase. Cindy Siegel was there, too, the Harris
- 39:03Speaker 23: County Party chair, Republican Party chair, as well as some
- 39:07Speaker 23: other candidates and advocates.
- 39:10Speaker 10: Well, first of all, I want to thank you for
- 39:12Speaker 10: your service in going and doing what you're doing. I'm
- 39:14Speaker 10: glad you're out there. I've noticed, like I said, you've
- 39:16Speaker 10: stayed very politically active. You're in many of these meetings and,
- 39:19Speaker 10: of course, speaking out for a lot of people who
- 39:21Speaker 10: don't have time or don't make time for this. Since
- 39:24Speaker 10: I know you served as the mayor of Piney Point,
- 39:27Speaker 10: do you have aspirations to maybe run for office again
- 39:29Speaker 10: one day?
- 39:30Speaker 4: Day if the situation is right?
- 39:32Speaker 23: Well, you know, this is what I say. You know,
- 39:35Speaker 23: my dad gave me some very, you know, I don't
- 39:38Speaker 23: know if you know my background. I'm an immigrant. I
- 39:41Speaker 23: was natural. I came here when I was very young.
- 39:44Speaker 23: I didn't speak a word of English. My brother and
- 39:47Speaker 23: I were the first to go to college. And I
- 39:50Speaker 23: was naturalized in high school. So I have a great
- 39:53Speaker 23: appreciation for the freedom and opportunities of America. And my
- 39:56Speaker 23: dad told me, you know, you will succeed in the
- 39:59Speaker 23: United States. Three things. One, you do the right thing.
- 40:03Speaker 23: You do because you care. You care about what you're
- 40:05Speaker 23: doing and it's the right thing. Number two, you have
- 40:10Speaker 23: to work hard. There's no getting around working hard. And three,
- 40:13Speaker 23: You have to listen to people because people will tell
- 40:16Speaker 23: you what they want. And equally important, you have to
- 40:19Speaker 23: lead when the opportunity arises and you have to take
- 40:22Speaker 23: that opportunity. So that's what I'm doing. I'm taking the
- 40:25Speaker 23: opportunity to speak for our constituency, to speak for our
- 40:30Speaker 23: people and making sure that our voices are heard. And
- 40:33Speaker 23: this is the avenue that I'm taking and it's contingent
- 40:36Speaker 23: on all of us. And our voices are the loudest,
- 40:39Speaker 23: as you know, at the polls in November.
- 40:42Speaker 10: This is true.
- 40:42Speaker 4: We want to get everybody out and vote.
- 40:44Speaker 10: And by the way, if you hadn't told me that
- 40:47Speaker 10: you weren't a native English speaker, I would be surprised
- 40:50Speaker 10: because you clearly have mastered the English language, unfortunately, far
- 40:55Speaker 10: better than many that are born and raised in this country.
- 40:57Speaker 10: And it's their own primary language, which has always been
- 41:00Speaker 10: a funny thing.
- 41:01Speaker 23: Yeah, my parents escaped communism. I mean, I was born
- 41:04Speaker 23: in Hong Kong. They were born in China. We knew
- 41:07Speaker 23: that Hong Kong was going to be ruled by communists.
- 41:10Speaker 23: by communism. So, I mean, you know, we had the
- 41:13Speaker 23: wonderful opportunity to come here, and I appreciate this country
- 41:16Speaker 23: and what it has to offer, and we must fight
- 41:18Speaker 23: these socialist and communist ideals. There's no way around it.
- 41:23Speaker 4: Well, you're absolutely right.
- 41:24Speaker 10: Aliza Dutt, former mayor of Piney Point, financial analyst and
- 41:27Speaker 10: a community leader. Aliza, I want to make sure this
- 41:29Speaker 10: avenue is always open for you if you ever decide
- 41:32Speaker 10: to run for office again.
- 41:33Speaker 4: But also, if you ever want to.
- 41:34Speaker 10: Get some information on something that we want to get
- 41:36Speaker 10: out there, make sure you let me know and then
- 41:38Speaker 10: we can get that information out. And like I said,
- 41:41Speaker 10: we need more people like you that stay politically active
- 41:45Speaker 10: and continue to have an impact because whether you know
- 41:48Speaker 10: it or not, which I imagine you do, you already
- 41:50Speaker 10: are having an impact and we need more people like
- 41:52Speaker 10: you doing this, making people realize what's going on.
- 41:55Speaker 4: Thanks for being here on the program today. I appreciate
- 41:56Speaker 4: your time.
- 41:57Speaker 23: Thank you. Thank you. You're so kind. I appreciate it.
- 42:00Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely.
- 42:01Speaker 10: Once again, Aliza Dutt, former mayor of Piney Point. She's
- 42:04Speaker 10: a financial analyst and you can hear community leader. She
- 42:07Speaker 10: was out of commissioner's court today. Unfortunately, the lefties, the
- 42:11Speaker 10: Democrats on commissioner's court, which some are up for reelection.
- 42:16Speaker 4: We need to remind them of this.
- 42:18Speaker 10: As we get closer to their election, that in a
- 42:20Speaker 10: time of affordability, they chose to raise your property taxes
- 42:24Speaker 10: the highest that has ever been in county history. So,
- 42:28Speaker 10: and the good thing was Aliza was there at Commissioner's
- 42:30Speaker 10: Court talking about this today.
- 42:31Speaker 4: So, like I said, I can't say it enough.
- 42:35Speaker 10: I appreciate people like her who get out into the
- 42:37Speaker 10: avenue and the arena and stay in it and don't
- 42:39Speaker 10: run and hide. after they didn't maybe win a particular office. Obviously,
- 42:43Speaker 10: she's won political races before, but when you don't win one,
- 42:48Speaker 10: that's not when you're supposed to just run and disappear,
- 42:49Speaker 10: and far too many do that, or even turn on
- 42:52Speaker 10: their constituency to try to punish them for not voting
- 42:55Speaker 10: for them, a.k.a.
- 42:56Speaker 4: John Cornyn, guys like that. So we want to.
- 42:58Speaker 10: Absolutely get more people like Elisa. And isn't it interesting
- 43:02Speaker 10: to hear someone who immigrated to this country who has
- 43:05Speaker 10: a slightly different perspective than so many of the spoiled
- 43:08Speaker 10: brats that are born and raised here? All right, let's
- 43:10Speaker 10: take a short break. You're listening to Chris X Radio.
- 43:12Speaker 10: I want to thank Elisa Dutt for joining us. We'll
- 43:15Speaker 10: come back, take your phone calls. Looks like we have
- 43:16Speaker 10: a murder hornet on the line. Murder hornet alert. We'll
- 43:22Speaker 10: get to him on the other side. You're listening to
- 43:24Speaker 10: Chris X Radio.
- 43:25Speaker 4: Don't you go anywhere. We'll be right back.
- 43:34Speaker 8: Chris X Radio.
- 43:37Speaker 26: Tune in each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. for On

- 43:52Speaker 18: Hi, y'all.
- 43:53Speaker 30: It's Kathy from Baker Mortgage. You know, with all the
- 43:56Speaker 30: scary stuff we've been through, it's still true that timing
- 43:58Speaker 30: is everything and the time to buy is now. But
- 44:02Speaker 30: don't go looking without a solid pre-approval in hand. And
- 44:05Speaker 30: this includes an application and a detailed discussion about property taxes.
- 44:09Speaker 30: If you didn't have the talk. You know, about property taxes,
- 44:13Speaker 30: you really don't know what you're pre-approved for. That should
- 44:16Speaker 30: make you wonder what else they may have left out.
- 44:18Speaker 30: Mortgages are personal. Let's face it, we're dealing with your
- 44:21Speaker 30: home and your money, and it doesn't get much more
- 44:23Speaker 30: personal than that. When it's the largest transaction that most
- 44:26Speaker 30: people will ever be involved in, imagine having someone on
- 44:29Speaker 30: your side looking out after you.
- 44:31Speaker 13: What a concept.
- 44:32Speaker 30: We audit your closing statement to make sure you're not
- 44:35Speaker 30: paying for things that you're not supposed to. Do you
- 44:37Speaker 30: think your big bank's going to do that? Probably not.
- 44:40Speaker 30: For all of your mortgage needs, call us at Baker Mortgage.
- 44:43Speaker 30: I promise you'll be glad you did. We're at 281-313-MOVE

- 45:41Speaker 32: This is Kevin O'Hara with O'Hara & Company Real Estate
- 45:44Speaker 32: in O'Hara Homes. I'm going to drop some truth bombs
- 45:46Speaker 32: that I believe. We're in a global war against evil.
- 45:49Speaker 32: Donald Trump is a wartime president. COVID-19 was not the
- 45:52Speaker 32: bioweapon the jab was. A surgical mask will not prevent
- 45:55Speaker 32: you from getting a virus. The 2020 election was rigged.
- 45:59Speaker 32: If you're watching mainstream media, you're being lied to. The
- 46:02Speaker 32: elites of this world have been running the largest human
- 46:04Speaker 32: trafficking and pedophile ring. The Ukraine is a deep state stronghold.
- 46:09Speaker 32: God is real and created two genders, male and female,
- 46:12Speaker 32: and Jesus died for our sins.
- 46:14Speaker 13: If you're not awake yet, you better wake up. If
- 46:16Speaker 13: you want a real.
- 46:17Speaker 32: Estate company that'll give you the truth, give O'Hare &
- 46:19Speaker 32: Company Real Estate a call at 281-373-3393.
- 46:24Speaker 13: Or look us up on the web at oherare.com. If
- 46:27Speaker 13: you're looking for.
- 46:28Speaker 32: A contractor, call O'Hara Homes at the same number, 281-373-3393.
- 46:34Speaker 13: God wins this war. Nothing can stop what is coming.
- 46:37Speaker 32: Where we go one, we go all. God bless America,
- 46:40Speaker 32: and God bless Texas.
- 46:42Speaker 5: And now, we return you to your regularly scheduled dose
- 46:45Speaker 5: of common sense, Chris X Radio.
- 46:48Speaker 4: Chris X Radio. You know, it's interesting.
- 46:59Speaker 10: I hear songs like You Can Still Rock in America,
- 47:01Speaker 10: Night Ranger back in the 80s, and then Bullet to.
- 47:04Speaker 4: Blue Sky by U2 that talks about the lyrics at
- 47:06Speaker 4: the end of the song. Run to the arms of America.
- 47:10Speaker 10: Man, it's amazing. The world used to love America. But now,
- 47:14Speaker 10: if you listen to certain people, everybody hates America. America's
- 47:18Speaker 10: terrible except for the literally terrible. of people that are
- 47:24Speaker 10: dying to get here that try to break into our
- 47:25Speaker 10: country illegally. For some reason, they like our country. I
- 47:29Speaker 10: guess those on the left keep calling them the best thing.
- 47:31Speaker 4: I guess I guess I'll do that.
- 47:33Speaker 10: Anyway, welcome back to Chris X Radio. You reached the
- 47:35Speaker 10: final segment of the first hour. Don't you go anywhere.
- 47:37Speaker 10: We've got hour number two coming right back at you.
- 47:39Speaker 10: I want to thank Elisa Dutt, former mayor of Piney Point.
- 47:42Speaker 10: She was on the program. She was at Commissioner's Court
- 47:44Speaker 10: today trying to encourage the commissioners to do the right
- 47:47Speaker 10: thing and not vote for the largest property tax hike
- 47:51Speaker 10: in county history. Well, unfortunately, they didn't listen to her.
- 47:54Speaker 10: So they did, and now your taxes are going to
- 47:57Speaker 10: go up. So looking forward to that, huh? All right,
- 48:00Speaker 10: let's go ahead and go to the phones. We'll talk
- 48:02Speaker 10: about whatever is on your mind today. 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. It
- 48:07Speaker 10: is our Friday show on Thursday. Let's go out to
- 48:12Speaker 10: the old murder hornet, run on Robert in Pearland.
- 48:15Speaker 4: Robert, thank you for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 48:20Speaker 3: A kill bee and a murder hornet, Chris. I'm a
- 48:24Speaker 3: little concerned about how now China and Russia are supporting
- 48:27Speaker 3: Iran with supplies and weapons. These are autocratic, tyrannical countries
- 48:32Speaker 3: with terrible monetary policies. But the good news is at
- 48:36Speaker 3: least they're not trying to bring all of that into
- 48:38Speaker 3: our upcoming election. A1 is going to kill us all
- 48:43Speaker 3: in 10 years. The good news is our laptops will
- 48:47Speaker 3: be firing up instantly. It's going to be great.
- 48:52Speaker 10: Do you use a laptop a lot when you're out
- 48:54Speaker 10: there watching windshields out there on the corner of Pearland
- 48:56Speaker 10: and wherever?
- 48:58Speaker 33: No, no.
- 48:59Speaker 3: I usually just work on the bottom. So listen, I
- 49:03Speaker 3: need to tell you something. Guess what?
- 49:05Speaker 7: What?
- 49:05Speaker 3: It's philosophy day on the Cracker Kroger Show.
- 49:09Speaker 7: That's right.
- 49:09Speaker 3: You're listening to the Cracker Kroger Show. It's on me,
- 49:12Speaker 3: the Cracker Kroger, and my incorrigible sidekick, Chris X. Hey, Chris,
- 49:17Speaker 3: come in here a minute and say hello to the people.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Hello, people.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Very good. Look, I know you're a bit of a philosopher,
- 49:27Speaker 3: a deep thinker, if you will. I put you up
- 49:29Speaker 3: there with Plato, Socrates, a dude named Livy, Zeno, Marcus Aurelius, Lucretius,
- 49:37Speaker 3: who I believe was a rapper. Hey, Chris, you do
- 49:40Speaker 3: some rapping yourself sometimes, don't you, right around Christmas time?
- 49:44Speaker 3: And Aristotle, I have good sources that his Twitter handle
- 49:49Speaker 3: was A at X, but I'm not sure. Hey, fun fact,
- 49:53Speaker 3: Lucretius' real name was Lucretius X. Now for the philosophical question.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Mitch McConnell came into the Senate this week and voted
- 50:04Speaker 3: and proceeded to pull in his head, front legs, then
- 50:09Speaker 3: the back leg, and then the tail. It took a while, finally.
- 50:13Speaker 3: And he could no longer be seen. It begs the
- 50:16Speaker 3: philosophical question, why did the turtle cross the road?
- 50:23Speaker 4: He had to go vote.
- 50:25Speaker 10: And by the way, you mentioned philosophers like Plato.
- 50:29Speaker 4: Listen, I'm such a philosopher, I usually just play with Play-Doh.
- 50:33Speaker 4: I like to make.
- 50:34Speaker 10: Things out of it and do things like that.
- 50:36Speaker 4: And often, you know, you do that.
- 50:37Speaker 10: I would rather do that around children and keep them
- 50:40Speaker 10: away from James Tallarico.
- 50:43Speaker 3: Yes, that was a related comment you just made. But
- 50:47Speaker 3: I'll say this. I don't come on your show and
- 50:49Speaker 3: give you a hard time, you know? Wait, that's all
- 50:53Speaker 3: I do. Okay, so in the news, Iran is branching out.
- 50:57Speaker 3: with the help of other Arabian countries, try to shut
- 51:00Speaker 3: down other waterways. I guess their plan is to control
- 51:03Speaker 3: the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, Oceans 11, Oceans 12
- 51:08Speaker 3: and 13, Baked Ocean, Barbecue Ocean, Sauteed Ocean, Ocean Kabobs,
- 51:15Speaker 3: Ocean Creole, Ocean Gumbo, Pan-Fried Ocean, Deep-Fried Ocean, Stir-Fried Ocean,
- 51:22Speaker 3: Lemon Ocean. Ocean salad, ocean potatoes, ocean sandwich, ocean burger.
- 51:30Speaker 3: That's about it.
- 51:31Speaker 10: You strike me as a man who was old enough
- 51:33Speaker 10: to remember the Ocean Club back in the 90s here
- 51:37Speaker 10: in Houston. Did you attend that club on a regular basis?
- 51:41Speaker 3: Yes, at the bottom of my laptop. But speaking of jokes,
- 51:46Speaker 3: oh my God, Tallarico. I wouldn't let that dude dog
- 51:50Speaker 3: sit my cat. In other words, Everybody knows that cats
- 51:53Speaker 3: don't need dog study. That may be hunky, but it's
- 51:57Speaker 3: not dory. Chris, you have paid attention to my philosophy,
- 52:04Speaker 3: Chris Eck's son. When you can snatch the joke from
- 52:07Speaker 3: my hand, you will become a man, my son. Also,
- 52:12Speaker 3: I went to Walmart to go shopping, and I saw
- 52:15Speaker 3: a small box with one cookie in it. One cookie
- 52:19Speaker 3: for sale in a box, Chris. That says, that you
- 52:23Speaker 3: are not worth a second cookie. That's philosophical. So let
- 52:30Speaker 3: me just get this going.
- 52:32Speaker 4: Are you out of material yet?
- 52:34Speaker 10: How big is this little car? You used to write
- 52:36Speaker 10: your stuff on a napkin. Did you get to get
- 52:39Speaker 10: bigger napkins or something?
- 52:40Speaker 3: I got this somewhere.
- 52:45Speaker 10: It's probably under your cowbell.
- 52:51Speaker 3: No, I don't have a cowbell today. What did you
- 52:54Speaker 3: do with my paper? Here it is. Here it is.
- 53:02Speaker 3: So my philosophy nugget for the day is today is
- 53:06Speaker 3: a question that does not really seek an answer. Are
- 53:09Speaker 3: you ready?
- 53:11Speaker 4: Yeah, you better hurry. You've only got about 20 seconds.
- 53:14Speaker 3: If an annoying woman falls in the woods, and doesn't
- 53:17Speaker 3: make a sound, does that mean you're sighted incorrectly? That's
- 53:22Speaker 3: wrong right there. I don't care who you are. That's wrong.
- 53:26Speaker 8: Thank you for the call, Mr.
- 53:27Speaker 18: Murder Hornet.
- 53:28Speaker 10: Run on, Robert.
- 53:31Speaker 4: Oh, and the answer is, yeah, that is correct.
- 53:33Speaker 10: But the good thing is, when it comes to you,
- 53:36Speaker 10: I'll always give you a 20-yard head start.
- 53:37Speaker 4: All right, hour number two is up next. Don't you
- 53:39Speaker 4: go anywhere. We'll be right back. Thanks for the call, Robert.

- 53:57Speaker 35: Middle East analyst Adam Barron says Saudi Arabia has accused
- 54:00Speaker 35: the Houthis of trying to attack Mecca with a drone,
- 54:03Speaker 35: which the Houthis deny.
- 54:05Speaker 24: What this does show is, regardless of whether it.
- 54:08Speaker 11: Was aimed at Mecca or not, you know, the Houthis
- 54:11Speaker 11: have denied that that was the aim.
- 54:14Speaker 22: It shows that the Houthis are demonstrating their strategic depth,
- 54:18Speaker 22: that is, their ability to target relatively deep inside of
- 54:22Speaker 22: Saudi Arabia.
- 54:23Speaker 35: The lightning advance of the Iran-backed Houthi rebels has forced
- 54:26Speaker 35: tens of thousands of people to flee their homes in Yemen.
- 54:29Speaker 35: Many are struggling to find food and shelter. Yemen was
- 54:33Speaker 35: the poorest Arab country even before the outbreak of its
- 54:36Speaker 35: civil war more than a decade ago. A Russian barrage
- 54:40Speaker 35: across Ukraine and its capital as Ukraine attacks targets inside Russia.
- 54:46Speaker 35: Correspondent Karen Chama says more on the story.

- 54:53Speaker 36: 10 locations in the city, with 33 sites damaged in
- 54:57Speaker 36: the wider region. Ukraine's emergency service also said a massive
- 55:02Speaker 36: Russian attack in Odessa injured seven people, including two children.
- 55:06Speaker 36: Firefighters worked overnight to put out blazes caused by the strikes. Meanwhile,

- 57:01Speaker 37: closer ties with the continent would ensure that no other

- 57:06Speaker 37: Chairman Kevin Warr says the labor market remains resilient despite
- 57:10Speaker 37: severally high inflation.
- 57:11Speaker 6: One basic sign of strength is the state of America's
- 57:14Speaker 6: labor markets. The jobless rate remains low at around 4.1%,
- 57:19Speaker 6: and both job openings and weekly hours have been increasing.
- 57:23Speaker 37: Kaitlin Clark's first signature Nike basketball shoe about to do

- 57:27Speaker 22: I look down at my feet, and I'm like, man,
- 57:29Speaker 22: I'm wearing my shoes, and they're Nike.

- 58:20Speaker 38: Most polling shows that Republicans are going to have a
- 58:23Speaker 38: tough time winning majorities.
- 58:26Speaker 4: In both houses of Congress in November.
- 58:28Speaker 38: Voters blame Trump for inflation and believe that many of
- 58:32Speaker 38: the necessities they need to purchase have become unaffordable. Two
- 58:36Speaker 38: out of three voters don't believe that preventing Iran from
- 58:39Speaker 38: building a nuclear weapon is worth the higher gas prices
- 58:43Speaker 38: that they are paying. Voters never give a president credit
- 58:46Speaker 38: for preventing bad things like a nuclear war from happening.
- 58:50Speaker 38: President Trump should realize by now that the Islamic Republic
- 58:54Speaker 38: will never agree to a deal that results in a
- 58:57Speaker 38: Trump win. The Mullahs read the polls and see the
- 59:00Speaker 38: domestic political pressure to end the war. It's part of
- 59:02Speaker 38: their strategy. We should stop chasing a bad deal. This
- 59:06Speaker 38: does not mean that we should resume unlimited airstrikes. but
- 59:10Speaker 38: rather targeted decapitation strikes against their leadership, as the Israelis
- 59:16Speaker 38: used effectively. If Iranian leaders won't cut a deal, then.
- 59:20Speaker 8: Let's get new ones.
- 59:21Speaker 4: The real leverage we.
- 59:22Speaker 38: Have against Iran is economic. We destroyed what Iran took
- 59:27Speaker 38: decades to build. their defense industrial base used to manufacture drones, missiles,
- 59:33Speaker 38: and nuclear weapons. Inflation in Iran is running at 40%.
- 59:38Speaker 38: The blockade collapsed the revenue stream used by the Revolutionary
- 59:43Speaker 38: Guard Corps, their security services, and all the government infrastructure.
- 59:48Speaker 38: If our blockade is allowed to continue and not stopped
- 59:52Speaker 38: by Democrats and a few Republicans, lame-duck Republicans in Congress,
- 59:57Speaker 38: we can eliminate.
- 59:58Speaker 13: The mullahs' leverage over its people.
- 1:00:00Speaker 38: We don't need regime change to pressure them into a
- 1:00:04Speaker 38: better deal for us.
- 1:00:06Speaker 8: Just perseverance.
- 1:00:07Speaker 38: Intercepting what leaks out via Iran's shadow tanker fleet.
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: Will speed the process.
- 1:00:13Speaker 38: The best guess is this pressure will take six months
- 1:00:17Speaker 38: to show results, right around.
- 1:00:19Speaker 10: The time of the elections.
- 1:00:21Speaker 38: I'm Ben Strewsand, and that's my view.

- 1:00:34Speaker 33: tracking charts and reminding us to be prepared for big storms.
- 1:00:38Speaker 33: But they overlook one very important thing, the damage and
- 1:00:40Speaker 33: destruction from broken limbs and uprooted trees. Call Louis Flory
- 1:00:44Speaker 33: at Ability Tree Experts today. My friend for nearly 40 years.
- 1:00:48Speaker 33: At 281-441-4179 and let him explain how this problem can
- 1:00:53Speaker 33: be minimized with professional pruning. You see, when the tree
- 1:00:56Speaker 33: canopy is too thick and dense, the tree can be
- 1:00:58Speaker 33: completely blown over and tree limbs broken, causing terrible damage
- 1:01:02Speaker 33: to the tree and maybe your home. Where tree limbs break,
- 1:01:06Speaker 33: sap will ooze and that attracts harmful insects. So you
- 1:01:09Speaker 33: need to call Louis Flory today. at 281-441-4179 and have
- 1:01:15Speaker 33: his experts come out and professionally prune your trees to
- 1:01:19Speaker 33: withstand sudden storms that are so frequent this time of year.

- 1:01:55Speaker 10: What we need.
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: Right now is a clear message to the people of
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: this country. This message must be read in every newspaper,
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: heard on every radio, seen on every television. This message
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: must resound throughout the entire intelligence.
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: And now, your host.
- 1:02:10Speaker 35: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: Chris X.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Good afternoon.
- 1:02:26Speaker 10: Welcome to GrizzX Radio, second hour of the program. I
- 1:02:30Speaker 10: know it probably seems like our third or fourth hour
- 1:02:32Speaker 10: after listening to Run On Robert in the last segment.
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: He tends to run on and on.
- 1:02:39Speaker 10: People think these nicknames really have no meaning, those who
- 1:02:42Speaker 10: came along later but don't quite understand where the nicknames
- 1:02:46Speaker 10: come from. Maybe now you have a better gauge. Anyway,
- 1:02:51Speaker 10: welcome to the program. I'm the aforementioned X-Man. Welcome to
- 1:02:54Speaker 10: the second hour of the program. It is our Friday
- 1:02:57Speaker 10: show on Thursday, which means we will talk about, which
- 1:02:59Speaker 10: is why we allow him to run on and on
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: and on and on. We'll talk about whatever's on your
- 1:03:05Speaker 10: mind today.
- 1:03:06Speaker 31: 281-558-KSCV.
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: 281-558-5738.
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: Got a lot going on, so we can actually start
- 1:03:11Speaker 10: getting into it, because I really didn't even get into
- 1:03:16Speaker 10: hardly any of it. We talked about the Harris County
- 1:03:19Speaker 10: Commissioner's Court approving the largest property tax hike.
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: In county history.
- 1:03:24Speaker 10: In fact, we talked to former Piney Point Mayor Aliza
- 1:03:27Speaker 10: Dutt in the first hour, and she went and spoke
- 1:03:31Speaker 10: at Commissioner's Court today, needless to say, they didn't listen
- 1:03:33Speaker 10: to her. It was by a vote of three to one.
- 1:03:37Speaker 10: They could add, they say, more than $ 190 a year
- 1:03:40Speaker 10: to the average homeowner's county property tax bill is according
- 1:03:43Speaker 10: to county estimates. which usually means it's probably going to
- 1:03:46Speaker 10: be more than that. Harris County homeowners will be paying
- 1:03:49Speaker 10: more property taxes after commissioners court approved a higher tax
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: rate today, adding another expense to household budgets already dealing
- 1:03:58Speaker 10: with the cost of housing, insurance, groceries, and utilities. Yeah,
- 1:04:04Speaker 10: you know, they're supposedly talking about the Democrats have all
- 1:04:06Speaker 10: been saying it's affordability, man. Affordability is where it's at.
- 1:04:10Speaker 10: So nothing like a time when things are less affordable
- 1:04:13Speaker 10: to jack up your property tax rates the highest in
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: county history.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: Hmm.
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: So, yeah, commissioners voted three to one.
- 1:04:23Speaker 10: The only commissioner that voted against it was Precinct 3
- 1:04:27Speaker 10: Commissioner Tom Ramsey. Harris County Judge Lena Hidalgo actually abstained,
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: taking herself out of the final vote, which wouldn't have
- 1:04:35Speaker 10: made any difference. The combined rate for Harris County represents
- 1:04:41Speaker 10: an increase, I say, of 7.9%, capped at 67 cents
- 1:04:42Speaker 10: per $ 100 of taxable property value.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: That's what they say.
- 1:04:54Speaker 10: I do believe when it's all said and done.
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: It may be a little bit more.
- 1:04:58Speaker 10: This is also, they just raised taxes on us again, what,
- 1:05:01Speaker 10: within the last couple of years? So here we are again.
- 1:05:04Speaker 10: The Harris County Officer of Management and Budget previously estimated
- 1:05:08Speaker 10: the increase would add more than $ 190 to the average
- 1:05:11Speaker 10: homeowner's annual property tax bill. That actual amount will depend
- 1:05:15Speaker 10: on the home's taxable value and exemptions. So that works
- 1:05:20Speaker 10: out roughly to $ 16 more a month, at least to
- 1:05:23Speaker 10: the average homeowner. Homeowners can check their property taxable value
- 1:05:28Speaker 10: and exemptions through the Harris County Central Appraisal District. Harris
- 1:05:33Speaker 10: County's new fiscal year begins October 1st, 2026. Will this
- 1:05:37Speaker 10: be enough for Adrian Garcia or Leslie Briones to potentially
- 1:05:41Speaker 10: lose their seats on commissioner's court? They voted for it.
- 1:05:46Speaker 10: They're also running a campaign on affordability. Yeah, we can
- 1:05:51Speaker 10: vote for us because we're about affordability. And then they've
- 1:05:54Speaker 10: jacked up your property taxes because they can't control their spending.
- 1:06:01Speaker 10: Or maybe we can at least put Orlando Sanchez above
- 1:06:03Speaker 10: the corrupt communist Muslim Letitia Plummer who's running for Harris
- 1:06:06Speaker 10: County judge. Hopefully, like I said, she's going to get
- 1:06:11Speaker 10: in and try to run Harris County probably the way
- 1:06:15Speaker 10: she ran her dental practice, which we'll just say there
- 1:06:18Speaker 10: was more than.
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: A few issues.
- 1:06:22Speaker 10: How do you feel about your taxes in Harris County?
- 1:06:25Speaker 10: Do you feel like you're getting more services done? That's
- 1:06:28Speaker 10: what Elisa Dett was talking about today at Commissioner's Court. Hey,
- 1:06:31Speaker 10: you know, we need more services. You're not providing more services.
- 1:06:34Speaker 10: You're just simply taking the money and spending it. It's
- 1:06:37Speaker 10: out-of-control spending. We don't have a revenue problem. We have
- 1:06:42Speaker 10: a spending problem in Harris County. And the Rodney Ellis's
- 1:06:46Speaker 10: and Adriana, I'm sorry, Adrienne Garcia, that was a slip,
- 1:06:50Speaker 10: and Leslie Briones, Yeah, they can't get enough of your
- 1:06:55Speaker 10: money to keep spending. Does Rodney still have his art collection?
- 1:06:58Speaker 10: El Senador, are you listening? If you're listening, can you
- 1:07:00Speaker 10: let me know? Remember that warehouse that had millions of
- 1:07:03Speaker 10: dollars of art in it that was Rodney Ellis's? He
- 1:07:06Speaker 10: had it just in some warehouse somewhere. And then when
- 1:07:09Speaker 10: he was confronted and they said, hey, why do you
- 1:07:10Speaker 10: have this massive art collection in a warehouse? Did he
- 1:07:14Speaker 10: ever explain it? No, he just moved it. If I'm
- 1:07:18Speaker 10: not mistaken, doesn't he employ his daughter somewhere? At $ 411, 000
- 1:07:23Speaker 10: per year. Maybe that's why they had to raise our taxes.
- 1:07:31Speaker 10: But don't worry, they're telling you to vote against Republicans
- 1:07:33Speaker 10: because of affordability. Anyway, how do you feel about this?
- 1:07:39Speaker 10: If you're in Harris County, let me know. If you're
- 1:07:41Speaker 10: not in Harris County, how are the other counties faring?
- 1:07:44Speaker 10: Did you guys get a property tax hike? Was it
- 1:07:47Speaker 10: the largest property tax hike in your county's history? 281-558-KSCV, 281-558-5738.
- 1:07:56Speaker 10: We've got a GOP representative, Andy Ogles, saying that AI
- 1:08:01Speaker 10: fear-mongering is basically the new global warming and the killer
- 1:08:04Speaker 10: bee scares. Remember the killer bees? I know you just
- 1:08:08Speaker 10: heard from Murder Hornet, but the killer bees, you guys
- 1:08:12Speaker 10: remember they did a movie with the Astrodome in it?
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: It was Houston, it was Killer Bees.
- 1:08:17Speaker 10: If I remember correctly, it was the Astros were playing
- 1:08:20Speaker 10: in the World Series, which this was many years before
- 1:08:22Speaker 10: the Astros actually went to the World Series. And by
- 1:08:25Speaker 10: the time they finally made it to the World Series,
- 1:08:28Speaker 10: if I remember correctly, they had already moved out of
- 1:08:30Speaker 10: the Astrodome. So... Anyway, we can kind of get to
- 1:08:35Speaker 10: that here in a bit, as well as President Trump
- 1:08:37Speaker 10: said interest rates should be at 1% or less after
- 1:08:40Speaker 10: the Federal Reserve unanimously hiked rates by a quarter of
- 1:08:43Speaker 10: a percent yesterday. Then he took to True Social, calling
- 1:08:47Speaker 10: for rates to be lowered fast. Interest rates in the
- 1:08:51Speaker 10: United States should be 1% or less because we have
- 1:08:54Speaker 10: the best credit in the world by far.
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: Our country is booming with new investments.
- 1:09:00Speaker 10: If we stop trading with every other country that we
- 1:09:03Speaker 10: have a deficit with, which is most of them, we
- 1:09:06Speaker 10: would make at least $ 1. 5 trillion a year. The word
- 1:09:10Speaker 10: deficit is nothing more than a fancy word for loss.
- 1:09:14Speaker 10: We are carrying almost every country in the world, and
- 1:09:16Speaker 10: that cannot go on any longer. Lower the interest rate
- 1:09:20Speaker 10: for the United States of America, and fast. Trump is
- 1:09:26Speaker 10: so hilarious on True Social. Notice I didn't say he's wrong,
- 1:09:31Speaker 10: because he's not. The federal funds rate now sits between 3.75%
- 1:09:33Speaker 10: and 4% after the decision, which is the first rate
- 1:09:34Speaker 10: hike since 2023.
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: Now, Fed Chairman.
- 1:09:43Speaker 10: Kevin Warsh, it all comes out in Warsh, who was
- 1:09:47Speaker 10: sworn into the Post in May, said the hike comes
- 1:09:49Speaker 10: at a time when the economy appears to be strengthening.
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: Trump has long called for the Fed to lower.
- 1:09:53Speaker 10: Interest rates and famously dubbed former Chairman Jerome Powell too
- 1:09:58Speaker 10: late because he did not cut rates quickly enough in
- 1:10:01Speaker 10: the president's opinion. Now, the president did end up telling Mr.
- 1:10:04Speaker 10: Warsh to go ahead and vote for it.
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: Go ahead. Said because there was nothing he could do
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: to stop it. He knew it was coming.
- 1:10:09Speaker 10: So if the others went, then go ahead. So I
- 1:10:13Speaker 10: guess we shall see how this all plays out. In
- 1:10:16Speaker 10: more economic news, the number of Americans filing unemployment benefit
- 1:10:20Speaker 10: claims fell below 200,000 for the fifth time this year,
- 1:10:24Speaker 10: according to new government data. So jobless claims fell by 10,000
- 1:10:28Speaker 10: to 196,000 for the week ending September 12th from 206,000
- 1:10:34Speaker 10: the previous week. So according to the Department of Labor
- 1:10:37Speaker 10: report released on Thursday or today. This came in below
- 1:10:42Speaker 10: the consensus estimate of 208,000, marked the third lowest level
- 1:10:47Speaker 10: since 1969. Trump's not going to get credit for that. No,
- 1:10:52Speaker 10: we're too busy trying to torch him to make sure
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: we can try to get Democrats elected in the midterms.
- 1:10:59Speaker 10: Governor Abbott has directed the Texas Water Development Board to
- 1:11:02Speaker 10: penalize data centers that fail to report their water usage
- 1:11:06Speaker 10: after the state records a record of showed most facilities
- 1:11:10Speaker 10: have ignored the mandatory survey for years.
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: So we'll get to that if we get time. And
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: I kind of had a Chris X-Files.
- 1:11:16Speaker 10: Kind of, not really. Nuclear fuel recycling could cut U.S.
- 1:11:20Speaker 10: waste storage from 100,000 years to 100 years. Now, who's
- 1:11:25Speaker 10: going to be around 100,000 years to know of the
- 1:11:27Speaker 10: waste storage? I guess, do murder hornets live as long
- 1:11:33Speaker 10: as Keith Richards?
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: Anyway, it is our Friday show on Thursday.
- 1:11:37Speaker 10: We'll talk about whatever is on your mind, and that
- 1:11:38Speaker 10: includes the largest property tax hike in Harris County history, 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738.
- 1:11:45Speaker 10: Let's go to the phones, pick up with Al, who's
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: been patiently holding in West Houston.
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: Al, thank you for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:11:55Speaker 18: I'm sitting here, and I'm dripping with tears because of
- 1:11:58Speaker 18: the raised tax. So they ignored my pleas, Chris X.
- 1:12:06Speaker 18: I had asked them not to vote for it, and
- 1:12:10Speaker 18: Ramsey listened, but the other members of the court either
- 1:12:15Speaker 18: voted for the tax raise or abstained. So we need
- 1:12:21Speaker 18: to send all those other ones home come November.
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: Well, I agree.
- 1:12:29Speaker 10: Unfortunately, or fortunately, I should say, I live in Precinct 3,
- 1:12:32Speaker 10: so I get to vote, but I vote for Tom Ramsey.
- 1:12:35Speaker 10: So we've got the only good one in my area. Now,
- 1:12:37Speaker 10: Leslie Briones and Adrian Garcia, they're in different... you know, precincts.
- 1:12:41Speaker 10: So we'll see how this plays out for theirs. But
- 1:12:44Speaker 10: Rodney Ellis, I, like I said, I, he made the
- 1:12:46Speaker 10: comment at one time, they'll have to, to get him
- 1:12:48Speaker 10: out of there in a coffin. So I don't believe
- 1:12:51Speaker 10: he's going to be going anywhere. Like I said, he
- 1:12:53Speaker 10: tends to, he's, he's the real leader of commissioner's court
- 1:12:57Speaker 10: and poor Lena Hidalgo has been nothing but his puppet
- 1:12:59Speaker 10: for the last few years. And now he's working on
- 1:13:01Speaker 10: getting a new puppet in there. So we'll see if
- 1:13:03Speaker 10: we can get, I'm.
- 1:13:04Speaker 18: Not wishing Rodney Ellis any harm, but, But I'd like
- 1:13:08Speaker 18: for him to step, not find his way to the
- 1:13:11Speaker 18: commissioner's court. That's for certain. You were talking earlier about
- 1:13:15Speaker 18: the Astrodome. That's something that we sure need to do.
- 1:13:19Speaker 18: We sure need, the general public needs to figure out
- 1:13:23Speaker 18: something that they can tell the county commissioners to begin
- 1:13:28Speaker 18: to use the Astrodome. I walked by it not long
- 1:13:30Speaker 18: ago going to a car show, and it's so regrettable
- 1:13:34Speaker 18: to see the eighth wonder of the world.
- 1:13:39Speaker 10: We need to figure out.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: A good use for it.
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't agree with you more on that.
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: They did.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: They dedicated it or I'm sorry. What do you call it?
- 1:13:49Speaker 10: They made it a it's a historical, you know, it's
- 1:13:52Speaker 10: got a historical delegation now. So that means it is
- 1:13:55Speaker 10: a historical thing. So they can't really tear it down.
- 1:13:57Speaker 10: And then they supposedly have repeatedly on multiple occasions approved
- 1:14:02Speaker 10: different things to go and do with it to make
- 1:14:05Speaker 10: it a viable facility. But it seems like nothing ever happens.
- 1:14:09Speaker 10: And then they forget that they made that vote and
- 1:14:10Speaker 10: then they start all over again every few years. But
- 1:14:13Speaker 10: it absolutely makes zero sense why the eighth wonder of
- 1:14:17Speaker 10: the world just sits there and slowly falls apart and
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: incurs more cost, and they can't figure out what to
- 1:14:22Speaker 10: do with it, especially considering their– well, I guess they've
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: got other things they want to spend our money on
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: instead of things like that.
- 1:14:30Speaker 18: That's the problem, Chris, is the county commissioners are spending
- 1:14:34Speaker 18: lots of money when instead they need to put down
- 1:14:37Speaker 18: their pencil and paper– pen and paper and stop trying
- 1:14:42Speaker 18: to make a list of where to spend money. Listen
- 1:14:45Speaker 18: to the public. The public has some good ideas about
- 1:14:48Speaker 18: what to put in the Astrodome.
- 1:14:50Speaker 10: Well, I agree.
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: Thanks for the call out. Yeah.
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: Like I said, there's a crowd out there that wants
- 1:14:57Speaker 10: to just tear it down. It was the first indoor
- 1:15:00Speaker 10: sporting facility, baseball facility in the world.
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: It is the eighth wonder of the world. It was amazing.
- 1:15:05Speaker 10: I know it's a little different now because we've moved
- 1:15:09Speaker 10: on and they built other things now. But the reality is,
- 1:15:13Speaker 10: like I said, this can be a viable facility. It
- 1:15:16Speaker 10: makes no sense to allow it to just sit there
- 1:15:18Speaker 10: and fall apart. It's really insane what's happening. And I
- 1:15:22Speaker 10: know it's going to cost a.
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: Lot of money.
- 1:15:24Speaker 10: And the longer they wait, the more it ends up costing.
- 1:15:26Speaker 10: So then they use that to justify not doing anything,
- 1:15:29Speaker 10: which is crazy. But like I said, it does have
- 1:15:33Speaker 10: a historical delegation element. So there's that aspect of it, too.
- 1:15:37Speaker 10: There's a reason why they call it the eighth wonder
- 1:15:39Speaker 10: of the world.
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: I appreciate your call. All right, let's take a very
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: short break. We'll come back. Rick in Cyprus, hold on.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: You'll be up next, followed by Mark, also listening in Cyprus.
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: And we'll get your phone calls.
- 1:15:48Speaker 10: What do you guys say?
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: You're in Cypress.
- 1:15:50Speaker 10: You're probably in Harris County. So your taxes got raised.
- 1:15:55Speaker 10: But we'll talk about whatever is on your mind today.
- 1:15:57Speaker 10: It is our Friday show on Thursday. And we're just
- 1:16:00Speaker 10: getting rolling here in hour number two. Plenty of room
- 1:16:02Speaker 10: for your phone calls at 281-558-KSCV.
- 1:16:03Speaker 21: 281-558-5738.
- 1:16:03Speaker 4: We'll be right back.
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: You're listening to Chris X Radio on The Voice of Texas.
- 1:16:19Speaker 8: Hi, I'm Tommy Mello with Garage Door Doctors.
- 1:16:21Speaker 12: My mom recently moved into a new home with a
- 1:16:23Speaker 12: builder-grade garage door. Noisy, flimsy, and not built to last,
- 1:16:26Speaker 12: so we're fixing that.
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: Mom, you're my hero.
- 1:16:29Speaker 12: When I was growing up, she worked three jobs just
- 1:16:31Speaker 12: to save our house.
- 1:16:32Speaker 24: And helped you build this company.
- 1:16:34Speaker 12: Now I'm giving her a beautiful new garage door that's
- 1:16:36Speaker 12: built to last.
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: The garage is 40% of your home's curb appeal.
- 1:16:40Speaker 8: When it looks good and it works great.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: Life is good.
- 1:16:42Speaker 23: Thanks, Tommy.
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: From repairs to upgrades, call Garage Door Doctor today.

- 1:16:53Speaker 11: off I-35. Traffic through Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. Now
- 1:17:00Speaker 11: her traffickers are in prison because Ken Paxton put them there.
- 1:17:04Speaker 11: 40 years for the trafficker, 20 years for the woman
- 1:17:08Speaker 11: who posted the ads online. The human trafficking and organized
- 1:17:12Speaker 11: crime unit that locked them up, Ken Paxton built it.
- 1:17:16Speaker 11: The website that sold kids like used cars online. Ken
- 1:17:20Speaker 11: Paxton shut it down. Politicians talk the talk about protecting
- 1:17:24Speaker 11: our kids. Ken Paxton walks their traffickers directly to prison.
- 1:17:29Speaker 11: Protecting Texas kids and locking up the people who prey
- 1:17:32Speaker 11: on them online and off. Prosecutor, dad, attorney general. Ken

- 1:18:16Speaker 10: the doctor.
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: Garage Store Doctor.
- 1:18:27Speaker 8: We got a call late New Year's Eve.
- 1:18:29Speaker 12: A father with big plans for his family the next
- 1:18:31Speaker 12: day said his garage door spring just snapped. He couldn't
- 1:18:33Speaker 12: get his car out and wouldn't be able to get
- 1:18:35Speaker 12: his family to where they needed to go.
- 1:18:37Speaker 8: He felt stuck and alone.
- 1:18:38Speaker 12: So we showed up fast with the right spring and
- 1:18:41Speaker 12: the right parts to fix it right. We didn't talk
- 1:18:43Speaker 12: about the price. We didn't wait till the morning. We
- 1:18:45Speaker 12: fixed it right then. Because at Garage Door Doctor, it's
- 1:18:49Speaker 12: never just a the job. It's about the person behind it.
- 1:18:52Speaker 12: The dad, the veteran, the grandpa, the neighbor. Hi, I'm
- 1:18:55Speaker 12: Tommy Mello, owner of Garage Door Doctor. When you need help,
- 1:18:58Speaker 12: we're the ones.
- 1:18:59Speaker 8: That show up.

- 1:19:14Speaker 11: than the doctor.
- 1:19:17Speaker 25: Garage door doctor.
- 1:19:19Speaker 8: And now, back to Chris X Radio.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: Chris X Radio.
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: On the voice of Texas.
- 1:19:24Speaker 25: Oh, oh, oh.
- 1:19:36Speaker 10: Welcome back to Chris X Radio. I'm the aforementioned X-Man
- 1:19:39Speaker 10: here on your Friday show on Thursday. That means we'll
- 1:19:42Speaker 10: talk about whatever is on your mind. What do you
- 1:19:45Speaker 10: guys want to talk about? The lines are full right now,
- 1:19:47Speaker 10: but when someone drops off, when you hear we finish
- 1:19:49Speaker 10: up with the caller, then you'll have the opportunity to
- 1:19:51Speaker 10: get in at 281-558-KSEV. Save that number in your smartphone, 281-558-5738,
- 1:20:00Speaker 10: or download the KSCV app, and you can call directly
- 1:20:03Speaker 10: from the app while you're listening to the program. So
- 1:20:05Speaker 10: there you go.
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: You can also watch the videos.
- 1:20:07Speaker 10: We do stream the video of the program as well
- 1:20:09Speaker 10: over on Rumble and YouTube and then TwitterX and Facebook.
- 1:20:13Speaker 10: All right, so let's go right back to the phones.
- 1:20:15Speaker 10: We'll talk about whatever's on your mind today, by the way,
- 1:20:18Speaker 10: but I imagine some of you will want to talk
- 1:20:20Speaker 10: about the largest property tax hike in Harris County history.
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: The three-to-one Democrats.
- 1:20:27Speaker 10: It's funny, the lone Republican on Harris County Commissioner's Court
- 1:20:30Speaker 10: voted against it, but the three of the four, well,
- 1:20:35Speaker 10: the three other commissioners and then Lena Hidalgo voted.
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: She abstained. She just didn't vote. Okay. Yeah, we got it.
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: All right, let's go to the phones. 281-558-KSV.
- 1:20:44Speaker 10: Let's go to Rick in Cyprus. Rick, thank you for
- 1:20:47Speaker 10: hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: Hey, Chris. How are you doing today?
- 1:20:52Speaker 27: I don't really want to harp on the taxes, man.
- 1:20:55Speaker 27: I'm so pissed off about that because they're spending most
- 1:20:57Speaker 27: of that money on their staff and not anything to
- 1:21:00Speaker 27: do with the county. But what I wanted to talk
- 1:21:04Speaker 27: about was how disappointed I am in the RNC and
- 1:21:07Speaker 27: the Texas Republican Party not giving any funds to Paxton.
- 1:21:13Speaker 27: I know Paxton, everybody wanted him to come out with
- 1:21:16Speaker 27: a good campaign campaign. I think it's one of the
- 1:21:20Speaker 27: worst campaigns I've ever seen in my life. That due,
- 1:21:23Speaker 27: as I know, is because of the money he does
- 1:21:25Speaker 27: not have. So I'm not really blaming it too much
- 1:21:28Speaker 27: on Paxton. But what I am blaming it on is
- 1:21:32Speaker 27: RNC and the Texas RNC not giving him any money.
- 1:21:35Speaker 27: And I don't know if they want to turn the
- 1:21:37Speaker 27: state blue, but that's what they're planning on doing by
- 1:21:40Speaker 27: not giving him funds. I wish they would use the funds.
- 1:21:43Speaker 27: And I hope the Paxton campaign is listening to your programs.
- 1:21:47Speaker 27: I wish what they would do with the limited funds
- 1:21:49Speaker 27: they have would put a checkboard up on commercials. I'm
- 1:21:53Speaker 27: tired of this slandering stuff. I wish they would say
- 1:21:56Speaker 27: Paxton voted to shut the border and sued the Biden
- 1:21:59Speaker 27: administration 100 times. Talofrico did not do it. He voted
- 1:22:03Speaker 27: for open borders. I wish they would say child pornography
- 1:22:07Speaker 27: and child transition. Paxton sued the state to get that
- 1:22:12Speaker 27: taken out as far as a law. Tallarico did not.
- 1:22:16Speaker 27: He wanted to pass laws for transitioning kids. I wish
- 1:22:19Speaker 27: I would say that, you know, he sued the state
- 1:22:23Speaker 27: of Texas from selling land to the Chinese. Tallarico sold
- 1:22:29Speaker 27: land to the Chinese. I wish I would come out
- 1:22:31Speaker 27: with a scoreboard like that, make it a nice 30
- 1:22:34Speaker 27: seconds on what they voted for and what they did
- 1:22:37Speaker 27: not vote for. I think it goes a long way
- 1:22:39Speaker 27: than just throwing mud at each other.
- 1:22:42Speaker 10: Well, first of all, I agree with your assessment on that.
- 1:22:44Speaker 10: I think that's good. But you're a little behind the times.
- 1:22:47Speaker 10: I guess you don't realize that the RNC, along with
- 1:22:50Speaker 10: the Trump campaign, the Elon Musk campaign, and then, of course,
- 1:22:53Speaker 10: John Thune's– well, Elon Musk, the PAC, and then John
- 1:22:57Speaker 10: Thune's PAC have now pumped over $ 80 million into the
- 1:23:00Speaker 10: Paxton campaign. And now we're being flooded with Paxton commercials.
- 1:23:04Speaker 10: I guess you haven't caught any of those here as
- 1:23:06Speaker 10: of yet?
- 1:23:08Speaker 27: No, sir, because they told me about that, and everybody
- 1:23:12Speaker 27: said they got max money in there. But I've only
- 1:23:15Speaker 27: seen two or three commercials.
- 1:23:17Speaker 34: That's it.
- 1:23:17Speaker 27: I've seen more Tallarico commercials than I've seen Paxton commercials.
- 1:23:21Speaker 10: Well, because you saw them for the last two months
- 1:23:23Speaker 10: that they've been running, and that, of course, I think
- 1:23:25Speaker 10: has definitely had an influence on the polling. Now, leading
- 1:23:29Speaker 10: into the final 45 days up until the election, we've
- 1:23:33Speaker 10: got Paxton in, who is.
- 1:23:35Speaker 4: At least— we' re.
- 1:23:36Speaker 10: Looking at $ 80- plus, $ 90 million. They're saying it's going to
- 1:23:38Speaker 10: be a $ 200- to $ 300- million race now that the Republican
- 1:23:42Speaker 10: funds— have actually finally come through for Paxton. So they're
- 1:23:46Speaker 10: finally getting on board.
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: Is it a little too late, a little too little?
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:23:50Speaker 10: We'll have to wait and see. But I just want
- 1:23:52Speaker 10: to make sure that everybody does know.
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: And thank you for the call, Rick.
- 1:23:54Speaker 10: I appreciate it that everybody does know that, yes, the
- 1:23:57Speaker 10: cavalry has come in Texas. And we've got, like I said,
- 1:24:00Speaker 10: we're dealing with, you know, 80, 90 million dollars at least.
- 1:24:03Speaker 10: that have come through, and it's from Donald Trump, it's
- 1:24:05Speaker 10: from John Thune, it's from Elon Musk. Like I said,
- 1:24:08Speaker 10: I can't even count how much.
- 1:24:09Speaker 4: It was $ 52 million, I do believe, that came from
- 1:24:12Speaker 4: the PAC from John Thune.
- 1:24:15Speaker 10: It was, I think, $ 12 million from the president's fund,
- 1:24:19Speaker 10: and then another $ 20 or $ 30 million from Elon Musk's PAC.
- 1:24:24Speaker 10: So the money has finally come in. Now, I don't
- 1:24:28Speaker 10: think it's too late. Literally, the last two months is
- 1:24:30Speaker 10: the most important So we will see a flood. We're
- 1:24:32Speaker 10: going to be sick of Paxton commercials. But I did
- 1:24:35Speaker 10: like your assessment.
- 1:24:36Speaker 4: Absolutely. The mudslinging, they do that because it's effective.
- 1:24:40Speaker 10: That's why we're already, for those who have been watching,
- 1:24:43Speaker 10: we're getting the good mudslinging now from, you know, he
- 1:24:45Speaker 10: was playing good boy from Tallarico in his first month
- 1:24:48Speaker 10: of college. of advertising trying to make everybody believe he's
- 1:24:51Speaker 10: a nice guy and he's a moderate, and now the
- 1:24:54Speaker 10: mud is surely being slung, to say the least.
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: All right, let's get one more call in before we
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: have to go to break.
- 1:24:59Speaker 10: 281-558-KSEV. Let's go to Mark in Cyprus. Mark, thank you
- 1:25:04Speaker 10: for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:25:07Speaker 36: Hey, C.J.
- 1:25:08Speaker 14: Padwe, Chris.
- 1:25:09Speaker 28: C.J.
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: Padwe.
- 1:25:10Speaker 14: Hey, you know, I normally, there's so many things I
- 1:25:15Speaker 14: could talk to you about. A couple ideas came into
- 1:25:18Speaker 14: my head because of, of our generation back in the
- 1:25:23Speaker 14: 80s and 90s with stuff. But, you know, this property
- 1:25:27Speaker 14: tax thing, I'm sorry, I'm going to have, I got
- 1:25:30Speaker 14: a question. And I'm going to run through this, and
- 1:25:33Speaker 14: if by any means, correct me if I'm wrong, but
- 1:25:36Speaker 14: I'm going to start with, I remember six years ago,
- 1:25:39Speaker 14: Paul Bettencourt got on the radio, hooped and hollered about
- 1:25:42Speaker 14: the largest property tax bill ever passed in the state
- 1:25:45Speaker 14: of Texas, and went on to promote this and everything.
- 1:25:49Speaker 14: And I remember quite after that, the city of Houston
- 1:25:54Speaker 14: tried to post something. And it's like, oh, wait, hold
- 1:25:59Speaker 14: my beer. We got something for you. And they found
- 1:26:01Speaker 14: some loopholes in that. And then now I hear, you know,
- 1:26:08Speaker 14: now you hear Governor Abbott come out with his number
- 1:26:12Speaker 14: one thing when he came out promoting it. His number
- 1:26:14Speaker 14: one thing was he's trying to go after property taxes.
- 1:26:17Speaker 14: in Harris County. That's his number one goal. When he,
- 1:26:19Speaker 14: when he came out against, promoted the government against Enosa.
- 1:26:23Speaker 14: And then now I hear ads online going, it's not
- 1:26:26Speaker 14: up to the state. It's up to the local government to,
- 1:26:29Speaker 14: to property taxes. And then he comes out and he
- 1:26:31Speaker 14: has a proposal for it. So where are we at that?
- 1:26:35Speaker 14: I mean, how is, how is Ben Corr going to
- 1:26:37Speaker 14: affect taxes when he's a state Senator, when it's up
- 1:26:41Speaker 14: to local government?
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: Mark.
- 1:26:45Speaker 10: Okay. Um, Let's start from the very beginning. Do you
- 1:26:50Speaker 10: understand the difference between city, county, and state?
- 1:26:57Speaker 14: Yeah, they say all property taxes is all local government.
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: No, no, no, stop, stop, stop.
- 1:27:01Speaker 10: We got to stop right there because we're going to
- 1:27:02Speaker 10: keep going. Yes, there's a difference between city. There's a
- 1:27:05Speaker 10: city of Houston, then there's a county of Harris, and
- 1:27:08Speaker 10: then there are multiple other counties, and then there's the
- 1:27:10Speaker 10: state of Texas. On the state level, they have gone
- 1:27:14Speaker 10: through and voted to reduce our taxes multiple times. And
- 1:27:18Speaker 10: every time they have done it, the radical left, the Democrats,
- 1:27:21Speaker 10: either by the city of Houston or especially Harris County,
- 1:27:25Speaker 10: has gone to institute tax increases where they levy property
- 1:27:29Speaker 10: taxes that have absolutely offset what they've done on the
- 1:27:32Speaker 10: state level. So then let's go back to the state
- 1:27:34Speaker 10: level again. People like State Senator Paul Betancourt. I know
- 1:27:38Speaker 10: you're not attacking him directly, but he's a direct line
- 1:27:41Speaker 10: that we both have because we listen to him here
- 1:27:43Speaker 10: every week. He went through there and had to pass
- 1:27:45Speaker 10: a law in the state of Texas. He brought it up,
- 1:27:48Speaker 10: I think it was SB4, where they went through and
- 1:27:50Speaker 10: had to get rid of this Harris County, who what
- 1:27:54Speaker 10: happened is when the Democrats took over in 2018, 2018
- 1:27:55Speaker 10: was how many years ago? So that was eight years ago.
- 1:28:00Speaker 10: The Democrats took over, immediately took away the voting responsibilities
- 1:28:05Speaker 10: of duly elected leaders to conduct elections and appointed corrupt
- 1:28:09Speaker 10: elections administrators to botch, quote-unquote.
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: Botch, do illegal elections.
- 1:28:13Speaker 10: The state had to come in and stop that from
- 1:28:16Speaker 10: happening in the largest county. in the state of Texas,
- 1:28:19Speaker 10: third largest in the country. So that's just two little
- 1:28:22Speaker 10: things that I'm explaining to you, the difference between what's happening.
- 1:28:26Speaker 10: The state has repeatedly gone in and worked what they
- 1:28:29Speaker 10: can to reduce our property taxes and reduce our taxes,
- 1:28:32Speaker 10: and then the county's going through. What Governor Abbott is
- 1:28:35Speaker 10: trying to do now, he wants to make sure that
- 1:28:37Speaker 10: we go through there and make, before they do these
- 1:28:39Speaker 10: sort of property tax hikes, that once again, these are
- 1:28:42Speaker 10: also issues that are carryover issues like Harris County, Raised
- 1:28:46Speaker 10: our taxes because of an emergency. Because of what happened? Well,
- 1:28:50Speaker 10: we had Hurricane Beryl, so they raised our taxes. And
- 1:28:52Speaker 10: then what happened now? They went through and raised it
- 1:28:54Speaker 10: the maximum amount they possibly can without having the people
- 1:28:57Speaker 10: vote on it. So the governor is trying to go
- 1:28:59Speaker 10: through there and offset. You understand this is a battle
- 1:29:02Speaker 10: between local, county, and state. The Republicans control the county.
- 1:29:09Speaker 10: I'm sorry, the Republicans control the state. The county and
- 1:29:12Speaker 10: the city has been controlled by Democrats forever. Houston for
- 1:29:15Speaker 10: I don't know how many years, but Harris County at
- 1:29:17Speaker 10: least the last eight years. So now if you can
- 1:29:21Speaker 10: explain to me a way how we can get this,
- 1:29:24Speaker 10: where we can get rid of these people in Harris
- 1:29:26Speaker 10: County so that we now have people that won't offset
- 1:29:29Speaker 10: any sort of tax increase with these property tax hikes
- 1:29:32Speaker 10: and the tax hikes they're constantly giving us, I'm all ears, brother.
- 1:29:37Speaker 14: I hear you, brother.
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: I hear you.
- 1:29:40Speaker 14: But, you know, like I said, they make it confusing
- 1:29:43Speaker 14: sometimes because They.
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: Don't make it confusing.
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: It is confusing. It absolutely is 100% confusing.
- 1:29:50Speaker 14: I mean, unfortunately with Brionis, I mean, Ronnie Ellis, you
- 1:29:54Speaker 14: can forget about it. Those people, those morons, his constituents,
- 1:29:58Speaker 14: they're going to vote for him all the time, even
- 1:29:59Speaker 14: though they're paying more property taxes. They're saying he's a guy,
- 1:30:02Speaker 14: just like Sheila Jackson Lee. And so, I mean, I
- 1:30:06Speaker 14: heard on the news today that Brionis might be, and
- 1:30:10Speaker 14: then all of a sudden, Hidalgo, all of a sudden,
- 1:30:13Speaker 14: she's a fiscal conservative. I'm like, really?
- 1:30:16Speaker 29: Okay.
- 1:30:17Speaker 14: Okay, yeah.
- 1:30:18Speaker 18: All right.
- 1:30:19Speaker 14: And then, unfortunately, I mean, 15 years ago, this was
- 1:30:22Speaker 14: four-to-one Republicans to Democrats. And then slowly, Rodney Ellis, who
- 1:30:27Speaker 14: controls everything, you know, slowly turned it and made certain
- 1:30:30Speaker 14: people here, certain people there. But, I mean, Chris, I
- 1:30:33Speaker 14: also have a question. And like I said, nothing against
- 1:30:36Speaker 14: Paul Bedcourt, but If I'm getting maybe $ 500 as a senator,
- 1:30:43Speaker 14: my main thing is I'm fighting your taxes, you know,
- 1:30:49Speaker 14: and vet court tax services. You know, if you start
- 1:30:52Speaker 14: lowering property taxes where nobody's fighting their taxes, it's lower.
- 1:30:55Speaker 14: Aren't you kind of taking money.
- 1:30:59Speaker 29: Away from your business?
- 1:31:02Speaker 10: Let me ask you this. Has he lowered our property
- 1:31:03Speaker 10: taxes from the state level?
- 1:31:10Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 1:31:10Speaker 14: I pay property taxes on Harris County level.
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: That is true. Okay, tell you what, you've got some
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: research to do. I appreciate the call, Rick.
- 1:31:19Speaker 10: The reality is, and I'm not dogging you, but the
- 1:31:22Speaker 10: reality is, yes, there are state property taxes. Well, I'm sorry,
- 1:31:26Speaker 10: we don't have a state tax, which is great, which
- 1:31:28Speaker 10: James Tallarico voted against to making sure that we, you know,
- 1:31:32Speaker 10: purpley put that in our Constitution.
- 1:31:34Speaker 4: But we're dealing with....
- 1:31:37Speaker 10: It is very confusing because I don't have enough time
- 1:31:40Speaker 10: on this program to go and explain the difference.
- 1:31:42Speaker 4: I see what you're saying.
- 1:31:43Speaker 10: You're saying because he runs a property tax reduction business,
- 1:31:46Speaker 10: therefore he goes out of business if we reduce our
- 1:31:49Speaker 10: property taxes. First of all, he doesn't control the governor
- 1:31:51Speaker 10: who is completely against property taxes. Second of all, he's
- 1:31:54Speaker 10: been fighting it. He's lowered my taxes, so I'm going
- 1:31:56Speaker 10: to continue to hire him as long as I have
- 1:31:58Speaker 10: to pay property taxes that he fights against every single year.
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: And I would encourage you not only.
- 1:32:06Speaker 10: To do some research to see the difference between the
- 1:32:08Speaker 10: state level and the county level and see who's doing what,
- 1:32:11Speaker 10: but then also the city of Houston level, because they're
- 1:32:13Speaker 10: raising our taxes as well. But to go and learn
- 1:32:15Speaker 10: the difference, there's a drastic difference on the state level.
- 1:32:19Speaker 4: They have reduced our tax.
- 1:32:21Speaker 10: Burden multiple times because Republicans are running it. So the
- 1:32:26Speaker 10: point is, I could hear the frustration in your voice.
- 1:32:29Speaker 10: What you're leading to leads to don't vote for Republicans
- 1:32:31Speaker 10: because they're not doing enough. This is blaming the cops
- 1:32:34Speaker 10: for the criminals committing crimes.
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: That's what's happening. Not that Republicans are perfect. There's no
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: such thing.
- 1:32:40Speaker 10: I don't hold them to the standard that the left
- 1:32:43Speaker 10: wants me to hold them to so they can continue.
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: To get elected.
- 1:32:46Speaker 10: But I know exactly who is raising my property taxes.
- 1:32:49Speaker 10: It is on the county level. It is in Harris County.
- 1:32:52Speaker 10: Even in Montgomery County, the Republicans did it there. So
- 1:32:55Speaker 10: you actually have more of a legitimate statement for Montgomery
- 1:32:58Speaker 10: County if you live in Montgomery County. The difference is
- 1:33:01Speaker 10: we're looking at, what, 8% at least here in Harris County.
- 1:33:04Speaker 10: I think Montgomery County did like 2%.
- 1:33:07Speaker 4: Big difference.
- 1:33:08Speaker 10: Republicans are very different. Even when they're being fiscally irresponsible,
- 1:33:12Speaker 10: in my opinion, they're still better, and there is a
- 1:33:15Speaker 10: huge difference, and we need to make sure that we
- 1:33:17Speaker 10: point out those differences, and it's hard to do. But
- 1:33:20Speaker 10: I encourage you, first of all, to call in and
- 1:33:21Speaker 10: talk with Senator Betancourt on the Amigos. He'll explain it
- 1:33:25Speaker 10: a hell of a lot better than I can, especially
- 1:33:27Speaker 10: in the short amount of time that we're given. But
- 1:33:29Speaker 10: that guy's been fighting since he's been around. And hell yeah,
- 1:33:34Speaker 10: as long as we have property taxes, I'm going to
- 1:33:36Speaker 10: hire his company to do that because, as you mentioned,
- 1:33:39Speaker 10: as a state senator, they don't make a whole lot
- 1:33:41Speaker 10: of money.
- 1:33:43Speaker 4: So they have to continue their business. Paul's a pretty
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: smart guy.
- 1:33:46Speaker 10: If property taxes were eliminated tomorrow, pretty sure he'd figure
- 1:33:50Speaker 10: out a way to make money, okay? I think the
- 1:33:52Speaker 10: guy knows what he's doing. So, but that being said, I.
- 1:33:58Speaker 10: Hopefully I explained it to a degree to where not
- 1:34:00Speaker 10: only you, but everyone listening can understand to a certain degree.
- 1:34:03Speaker 10: I'm not an expert, but I do know who's raising
- 1:34:06Speaker 10: my property taxes. And as you mentioned, Adrian Garcia or
- 1:34:11Speaker 10: Leslie Briones are the ones that are doing it.
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: They're up for reelection. If we can get rid of
- 1:34:16Speaker 4: those people.
- 1:34:18Speaker 10: I mentioned that state senator, it's not just property taxes,
- 1:34:21Speaker 10: but state senator Paul Bettencourt also had to go through
- 1:34:24Speaker 10: there and get rid of those corrupt elections administrators in
- 1:34:27Speaker 10: Harris County to just make sure that we can get
- 1:34:30Speaker 10: elections conducted properly because the Democrats stack the deck. I
- 1:34:34Speaker 10: hope you're starting to see more of the bigger picture
- 1:34:36Speaker 10: here because it is a much bigger picture than we
- 1:34:39Speaker 10: can go into in a single show, which is why
- 1:34:42Speaker 10: we do it every day.
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: Anyway, sorry, Lucas.
- 1:34:43Speaker 10: Let's go ahead and take a break. You're listening to
- 1:34:45Speaker 10: Chris X Radio. Appreciate the phone call. We'll get more
- 1:34:47Speaker 10: of your phone calls here on the other side. There's
- 1:34:50Speaker 10: a lot to say. There's a lot more, but we'll
- 1:34:52Speaker 10: go ahead and get to your calls on the other side.
- 1:34:54Speaker 10: You're listening to Chris X Radio. Don't you go anywhere.
- 1:34:56Speaker 8: We'll be right back.
- 1:35:02Speaker 5: Elections have consequences. So does your radio dial. Don't touch it.
- 1:35:07Speaker 5: Chris X Radio returns after this.
- 1:35:09Speaker 21: If you have roof problems, you can sure see them
- 1:35:12Speaker 21: when it rains. This is Deb Tejada from Tejas Roofing.
- 1:35:15Speaker 21: If you see a leak, call me immediately.
- 1:35:18Speaker 37: 281-251-0304.
- 1:35:20Speaker 21: I'll send over the Tejas Roof Repair Truck.
- 1:35:23Speaker 40: That truck has everything our experienced crew needs to fix
- 1:35:26Speaker 40: your roof. right then and there.
- 1:35:28Speaker 21: The Taos Roofing Crew has been working together fixing leaky
- 1:35:30Speaker 21: roofs for 15 years.
- 1:35:32Speaker 40: It's not a pretty truck, but it has everything we
- 1:35:34Speaker 40: need to get the job done. I kind of like
- 1:35:36Speaker 40: the way it looks.
- 1:35:37Speaker 21: Most roofing repairs cost less than $ 500.
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: Why?
- 1:35:40Speaker 21: Because we find the cause of the leak and repair
- 1:35:43Speaker 21: that leak. We won't try to sell you services you
- 1:35:45Speaker 21: don't need.
- 1:35:46Speaker 40: And we'll fix it right away because everything we need,
- 1:35:48Speaker 40: it's in our truck.
- 1:35:50Speaker 21: Don't put off fixing a leaky roof. Call me at
- 1:35:52Speaker 21: Tejas Roofing, and I'll send over the truck.
- 1:35:55Speaker 10: 281-251-0304.
- 1:35:57Speaker 21: When you think of roofing repairs or a new roof,
- 1:35:59Speaker 21: think Tejas Roofing, your Houston roofing company.
- 1:36:02Speaker 11: 281-251-0304.
- 1:36:02Speaker 21: That's Tejas Roofing, 281-251-0304.
- 1:36:09Speaker 30: You know, where we go in life matters and what
- 1:36:12Speaker 30: we do matters. And we know that taking the wrong
- 1:36:14Speaker 30: road won't produce the best outcomes. Hi, I'm Kathy with
- 1:36:18Speaker 30: Baker Mortgage. And we want you to take the right
- 1:36:21Speaker 30: path when it comes to your mortgage. You know, we
- 1:36:23Speaker 30: live in a world of information overload, but always consider
- 1:36:26Speaker 30: the source. And these are not generally going to be
- 1:36:29Speaker 30: from your big bank or a random offer that comes
- 1:36:32Speaker 30: across your screen. Remember, you're always going to get a
- 1:36:34Speaker 30: better deal on one that you go looking for than
- 1:36:37Speaker 30: one that comes looking for you. You need to deal
- 1:36:39Speaker 30: with somebody who gives a you-know-what, whether or not you're
- 1:36:42Speaker 30: happy in the end. At Baker Mortgage, we do it right.
- 1:36:46Speaker 30: We haven't been around for 68 years because we're lucky.
- 1:36:49Speaker 30: We don't sell CDs, insurance, or anything else. We just
- 1:36:53Speaker 30: provide a great mortgage experience. Isn't that what you're looking for?
- 1:36:57Speaker 30: Call us at Baker Mortgage. I promise you'll be glad
- 1:36:59Speaker 30: you did. We're at 281-313-MOVE or go directly to bakermortgage.com.
- 1:37:05Speaker 13: Equal housing lender.
- 1:37:06Speaker 18: License number 263213.
- 1:37:09Speaker 8: And now for the bonus round. Who imposes property taxes?
- 1:37:14Speaker 8: State government. Nice try, but no.
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: Local governments?
- 1:37:19Speaker 8: Correct. And we have a winner.
- 1:37:22Speaker 9: Here's Governor Greg Abbott on his plan to control property taxes.
- 1:37:27Speaker 15: The state of Texas does not impose a property tax.
- 1:37:30Speaker 15: Only local governments impose property taxes. One of the reasons
- 1:37:34Speaker 15: why your property taxes are going up is because local
- 1:37:36Speaker 15: governments are increasing their spending. So the first thing we
- 1:37:40Speaker 15: got to do is to stop the spending that leads.
- 1:37:44Speaker 8: To property tax increases.
- 1:37:45Speaker 15: You should have a say on whether or not your
- 1:37:48Speaker 15: property taxes go up.
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: It should be a vote that.
- 1:37:50Speaker 15: Requires two-thirds vote before any property tax increase can ever
- 1:37:55Speaker 15: be imposed on our fellow Texans. You're going to be
- 1:37:57Speaker 15: able to live in your home for the rest of
- 1:37:59Speaker 15: your lives without being priced out of it.
- 1:38:01Speaker 9: Protecting homeowners, lowering property taxes. That's Governor Greg Abbott.
- 1:38:06Speaker 15: Political ad paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott.
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: From the KSEV Weather Center, tonight expect partly cloudy skies
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: and humid conditions with a low of 73. Tomorrow will
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: be mostly sunny, very warm and less humid with a
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: high of 96. Tomorrow night will be clear with.
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: A low of 72.
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: On Saturday, anticipate mostly sunny skies and very warm temperatures
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: with a high of 95. Sunday will also be mostly
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: sunny and remain very warm with a chance of a
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: thunderstorm in the afternoon and a high of 94. With
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: the KSCV Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 1:38:45Speaker 8: Fake news hates us.
- 1:38:47Speaker 5: Fake news hates us.
- 1:38:48Speaker 8: Chris X Radio.
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: Chris X Radio. And finally, C.C.
- 1:39:02Speaker 10: Podway, Mark. Sorry, Mark, I kept calling you the wrong name.
- 1:39:04Speaker 10: I'm sorry, I was looking at the screen and was
- 1:39:06Speaker 10: looking at the wrong name. And I apologize for that.
- 1:39:08Speaker 10: That was my mistake. So C.C.
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: Podway, Mark.
- 1:39:11Speaker 11: Okay.
- 1:39:13Speaker 10: Listen, it's a complex conversation, and that's why we have
- 1:39:15Speaker 10: this show and this station, and it's one we will
- 1:39:17Speaker 10: continue to have. As long as Democrats get elected, we're
- 1:39:20Speaker 10: going to keep fighting this battle because, as we've seen,
- 1:39:23Speaker 10: areas where they're in control, they can never get enough
- 1:39:26Speaker 10: of your tax dollars.
- 1:39:28Speaker 4: There is a direct line right there.
- 1:39:31Speaker 10: Now, I am one of the people that understands that
- 1:39:34Speaker 10: there are things that cost money, and we have to
- 1:39:35Speaker 10: pay for that. And I don't mind if we're actually
- 1:39:38Speaker 10: getting services. But clearly we're at a point of taxation
- 1:39:42Speaker 10: without representation in this country, which trickles down to the
- 1:39:45Speaker 10: county level, which trickles down to the city level and
- 1:39:47Speaker 10: even on the state level. But there are certain things
- 1:39:49Speaker 10: that need to be done. And in Texas, we have
- 1:39:52Speaker 10: a grid, which is important to make sure that is
- 1:39:54Speaker 10: maintained and taken care of. And when we saw how
- 1:39:57Speaker 10: the lieutenant governor dealt with them wanting to give their
- 1:40:00Speaker 10: themselves big raises or at least the president of the
- 1:40:03Speaker 10: grid of ERCOT. So but and that that went away.
- 1:40:08Speaker 10: How do you think Democrats would operate that? The other thing, too,
- 1:40:11Speaker 10: is we also– there's so many dynamics and elements to
- 1:40:15Speaker 10: this conversation. How do you think the state of Texas
- 1:40:19Speaker 10: would be run if Democrats were in charge right now?
- 1:40:21Speaker 10: We look how they're doing throughout the country and everywhere
- 1:40:24Speaker 10: they're in charge. Needless to say, getting upset and getting angry,
- 1:40:29Speaker 10: which I get, being frustrated, I get that. But to
- 1:40:32Speaker 10: all of a sudden decide that, hey, listen, it doesn't
- 1:40:34Speaker 10: do any good to vote for the difference– Well, it does.
- 1:40:37Speaker 4: That is a that's a massive mistake. Is it going
- 1:40:40Speaker 4: to be perfect?
- 1:40:41Speaker 10: Nothing's perfect. Quit expecting perfection. We're never going to get perfection,
- 1:40:45Speaker 10: but we can get better than the alternative. And I'll
- 1:40:48Speaker 10: take that every day. That was why the whole John
- 1:40:50Speaker 10: Cornyn argument. He was still better than a Democrat when
- 1:40:53Speaker 10: he was in charge. Now he's a dirtbag. He's still terrible.
- 1:40:56Speaker 4: He's awful. He's gone.
- 1:40:57Speaker 10: He's proved what he's you know, his detractors said about him.
- 1:41:00Speaker 10: But now he's being replaced by someone, and then everyone's complaining, well,
- 1:41:03Speaker 10: we're not spending enough money. You're starting to see more
- 1:41:06Speaker 10: of the complexities. Politics is nuanced. Anyway, thank you for
- 1:41:10Speaker 10: the call, Mark. I appreciate it. Phone lines are still full,
- 1:41:12Speaker 10: but when someone drops off, you'll be able to get in. 281-558-KCB.
- 1:41:16Speaker 10: Let's go to Chris listening in spring. Chris, thank you
- 1:41:19Speaker 10: for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:41:22Speaker 39: Yes, sir. Let's stay local later here. Let me just
- 1:41:26Speaker 39: talk about the Federal Reserve. A very unimpressive institution. Anybody
- 1:41:31Speaker 39: with a brain can see that. Chris, in September of 2024,
- 1:41:36Speaker 39: right before a general election, they cut the interest rates.
- 1:41:39Speaker 3: Here we are. Time is a flat circle.
- 1:41:43Speaker 39: We are two months away from an election, and the
- 1:41:46Speaker 39: Fed raises the interest rates. If anybody thinks that the
- 1:41:51Speaker 39: apparatus is still not in it or out for Donald J. Trump,
- 1:41:55Speaker 39: I am telling you right now, the writing is on
- 1:41:58Speaker 39: the wall. I mean, they're trying to assassinate him again
- 1:42:00Speaker 39: at this point. This is egregious. And to be very clear,
- 1:42:05Speaker 39: we're going to have a divided Congress here in 27.
- 1:42:08Speaker 39: There will be no bills getting passed. There will be
- 1:42:10Speaker 39: nothing inflationary on the horizon. And we are collecting so
- 1:42:14Speaker 39: much money from the tariffs and they raise the rate.
- 1:42:18Speaker 39: I don't know what it is about those schools in
- 1:42:20Speaker 39: the Northeast, but I think they're very, very unimpressive. Now,
- 1:42:24Speaker 39: let's keep it back to local here. We have to
- 1:42:27Speaker 39: understand something. There are no statutes in the legislature that
- 1:42:33Speaker 39: requires these commissioner courts, these leftists, to balance a budget.
- 1:42:39Speaker 39: And I was very encouraged by Mr. Ramsey yesterday saying
- 1:42:42Speaker 39: that might be the next step. But the problem is
- 1:42:44Speaker 39: there are 63 Democrats in the House. They will never
- 1:42:48Speaker 39: allow that to happen. So we need to get an
- 1:42:50Speaker 39: executive order on the books. Let the governor come in here.
- 1:42:54Speaker 39: If you don't balance the budget with all the revenue
- 1:42:57Speaker 39: you have, you're out. We're taking over. One, two, three, ABC.
- 1:43:02Speaker 39: You got to do it, Chris. They're going to destroy
- 1:43:05Speaker 39: our state. We have to do something.
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:43:08Speaker 4: Thank you for the call, Chris.
- 1:43:09Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean, that's the other, you know, the elephant
- 1:43:13Speaker 10: in the room is on the state level and then
- 1:43:14Speaker 10: the local level and then the county level is we
- 1:43:16Speaker 10: got to deal with Democrats. Have you guys noticed the trend?
- 1:43:19Speaker 10: And Chris gets it. anywhere the Democrats are involved. And then,
- 1:43:22Speaker 10: of course, you've got the swamp on the national level.
- 1:43:24Speaker 10: And those swamp rats, there's the Trump derangement syndrome, which
- 1:43:27Speaker 10: is clearly a real thing. And we see it on
- 1:43:29Speaker 10: steroids with guys like, you know, John, I'm sorry, not
- 1:43:33Speaker 10: John Cornyn, but that kind of stuff. But once again,
- 1:43:36Speaker 10: that's a really good point Chris just made. Thank you
- 1:43:39Speaker 10: for the call, Chris. I always appreciate your calls. And
- 1:43:43Speaker 10: I wish I could be as concise as you are.
- 1:43:46Speaker 10: All right.
- 1:43:47Speaker 4: 2-8-1-5-5-8-K-S-E-B.
- 1:43:47Speaker 10: Let's go to Alan listening in champions. Alan, thank you
- 1:43:50Speaker 10: for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X radio. Thanks.
- 1:43:53Speaker 29: Hey, so I talked to Paul Bettencourt maybe 10, 12
- 1:43:57Speaker 29: years ago, what have you, on what they call the CAFRA.
- 1:44:00Speaker 29: Are you familiar with that? The comprehensive annual financial report
- 1:44:05Speaker 29: on the state or the local governments? Have you ever
- 1:44:08Speaker 29: heard of CAFRA?
- 1:44:09Speaker 4: I have, but I'm really not real familiar.
- 1:44:11Speaker 10: With it yet.
- 1:44:12Speaker 29: Well, and just basically if your family makes $ 100, 000 and
- 1:44:15Speaker 29: you dedicate 10% of your income to your investments, over
- 1:44:19Speaker 29: time they add up. So what is the value of
- 1:44:22Speaker 29: the state of Texas, Harris County? I mean, there is
- 1:44:25Speaker 29: no reason that there should be any type of financial
- 1:44:29Speaker 29: tax increase when the value of– it's like Jim Crane
- 1:44:33Speaker 29: buying the Astros for $ 100 million and then selling them
- 1:44:36Speaker 29: for $ 2 billion. You know what I'm saying? But anyway,
- 1:44:39Speaker 29: that was my comment. And just, it would be nice
- 1:44:41Speaker 29: to have that report in front of me or all
- 1:44:43Speaker 29: of us where we could look at it. And then the,
- 1:44:46Speaker 29: you know, when the counselor or the commissioners come up
- 1:44:49Speaker 29: and say, oh, we need this for that and everything. Well,
- 1:44:50Speaker 29: how about taking the half a percent out of your,
- 1:44:54Speaker 29: you know, your investment trough? Anyway, just that's my comment.
- 1:44:57Speaker 4: Well, thank you for the call. And I appreciate it.
- 1:44:58Speaker 10: I'd like to look at that report too, because it's
- 1:45:00Speaker 10: been a while and, Man, that's one of those things
- 1:45:02Speaker 10: that have just been filed away in the archives of
- 1:45:04Speaker 10: my mind because I haven't thought about.
- 1:45:06Speaker 4: It in a very long time.
- 1:45:07Speaker 10: But the other thing, too, is per your comment, take
- 1:45:10Speaker 10: it to the commissioner's court. Tom Ramsey, who is on
- 1:45:12Speaker 10: commissioner's court, he's precinct three commissioner. He's the lone Republican left.
- 1:45:16Speaker 10: They went ahead and redistricted. Cactus Jack Cagle and got
- 1:45:20Speaker 10: him out of there as fast as they could the
- 1:45:22Speaker 10: moment he exposed Lena Hidalgo's corruption. And then now what's
- 1:45:25Speaker 10: she doing? Well, now she's claiming to be a fiscal conservative,
- 1:45:27Speaker 10: which she's not. Everybody knows. But she's setting up for
- 1:45:30Speaker 10: her next to whatever she's going to do because she's
- 1:45:32Speaker 10: not running for a Harris County judge. That's Orlando Sanchez
- 1:45:35Speaker 10: running against Letitia Plummer. I hope we can get Orlando
- 1:45:38Speaker 10: Sanchez in. He's got a real shot. It's going to
- 1:45:41Speaker 10: be tough. Anytime these Democrats come in and get their
- 1:45:45Speaker 10: little fingers on power, it is so hard to get
- 1:45:47Speaker 10: them out because of, well, the way they operate. They're
- 1:45:50Speaker 10: little totalitarians. And that's how we're seeing with Briones and
- 1:45:54Speaker 10: Adrian Garcia.
- 1:45:55Speaker 4: They get in. It's all about power. And they take
- 1:45:57Speaker 4: that money.
- 1:45:58Speaker 10: And as you just mentioned, They'll never run out of
- 1:46:02Speaker 10: things to spend our tax dollars on. So they always
- 1:46:04Speaker 10: keep raising them and keep going and keep going. And
- 1:46:07Speaker 10: then all of a sudden, more people are moving to
- 1:46:09Speaker 10: Texas than anywhere else in the world, anywhere else in
- 1:46:12Speaker 10: the country. And yet Harris County is not growing in population.
- 1:46:18Speaker 10: It was growing when illegals were pouring into our country,
- 1:46:20Speaker 10: which is also by design of the left, which is
- 1:46:23Speaker 10: why you have to keep those monsters out at all costs.
- 1:46:26Speaker 10: But other than that, when you cap that, and then what?
- 1:46:29Speaker 10: All of a sudden, there are less people moving to
- 1:46:32Speaker 10: that area because it costs a ton. It's almost like
- 1:46:36Speaker 10: trying to do business in California.
- 1:46:37Speaker 4: I know it's in Texas. Oh, go to Travis County.
- 1:46:40Speaker 4: It's even worse. But Harris County is a whole lot bigger.
- 1:46:44Speaker 4: Good points.
- 1:46:44Speaker 10: Let's take a very short break. Bubba, hold on for me.
- 1:46:46Speaker 10: We'll get to you on the other side. We'll come
- 1:46:48Speaker 10: back and wrap up today's show. This is a very
- 1:46:51Speaker 10: good and important conversation. I clearly don't have all the answers.
- 1:46:54Speaker 10: But the one thing that I do have control over
- 1:46:57Speaker 10: is voting. And I want people to understand that voting
- 1:47:00Speaker 10: is important. Are you always going to get everything you want?
- 1:47:02Speaker 22: No.
- 1:47:03Speaker 4: Quit expecting that.
- 1:47:04Speaker 10: Whoever convinced Republicans that if they don't get everything they want,
- 1:47:08Speaker 10: I'm done, I'm going to take my toys and go home.
- 1:47:11Speaker 10: And that mentality has led to the election of more
- 1:47:14Speaker 10: Democrats who then get in, corrupt the process, and then
- 1:47:18Speaker 10: get more Democrats, and then there is nowhere on God's
- 1:47:20Speaker 10: green earth you can run and hide where they won't
- 1:47:23Speaker 10: hunt you down to rule over you. You need to
- 1:47:26Speaker 10: understand that is where we're at, folks. understand that that
- 1:47:30Speaker 10: is the process now when you understand we're dealing with
- 1:47:33Speaker 10: those people and they're very good at what they do
- 1:47:35Speaker 10: they're not stupid idiots they're communist and there's a big
- 1:47:38Speaker 10: difference thank you for the call you're listening to chris
- 1:47:41Speaker 10: x radio we'll be right back we'll pick up with
- 1:47:43Speaker 10: bubba here to wrap up today's.

- 1:50:23Speaker 40: need to get the job done. I kind of like
- 1:50:25Speaker 40: the way it looks.
- 1:50:26Speaker 21: Most roofing repairs cost less than $ 500.
- 1:50:29Speaker 18: Why?
- 1:50:29Speaker 21: Because we find the cause of the leak and repair
- 1:50:32Speaker 21: that leak. We won't try to sell you services you
- 1:50:34Speaker 21: don't need.
- 1:50:35Speaker 40: And we'll fix it right away because everything we need,
- 1:50:37Speaker 40: it's in our truck.
- 1:50:39Speaker 21: Don't put off fixing a leaky roof. Call me at
- 1:50:41Speaker 21: Tejas Roofing, and I'll send over the truck.
- 1:50:44Speaker 10: 281-251-0304.
- 1:50:46Speaker 21: When you think of roofing repairs or a new roof,
- 1:50:48Speaker 21: think Tejas Roofing, your Houston roofing company.
- 1:50:51Speaker 30: 281-251-0304.
- 1:50:51Speaker 21: That's Tejas Roofing, 281-251-0304.
- 1:51:00Speaker 5: And now, back to Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio.
- 1:51:03Speaker 5: On the voice of Texas.
- 1:51:13Speaker 10: I dedicate this song to Harris County, the big total losers.
- 1:51:19Speaker 10: Voting to the largest property tax hike in county history.
- 1:51:24Speaker 10: Once again, we have to stop allowing these Marxists, these
- 1:51:28Speaker 10: communists to take over. It's one thing I know Chris
- 1:51:30Speaker 10: gets at Chris Out in Spring. He understands that probably
- 1:51:33Speaker 10: better than all of us. Anyway, welcome back to Chris
- 1:51:36Speaker 10: Hicks Radio. You've reached the final segment of the program.
- 1:51:38Speaker 10: It is our Friday show on Thursday, which means the
- 1:51:41Speaker 10: Amigos will take over tomorrow from four to six. I
- 1:51:43Speaker 10: encourage you to keep listening, listen to the Amigos, make
- 1:51:46Speaker 10: an appointment to listen to them every Friday and feel
- 1:51:49Speaker 10: free to call in and ask Senator Betancourt about these
- 1:51:52Speaker 10: property taxes and how he feels. And you know, for
- 1:51:54Speaker 10: a guy supposedly who's Once again, it wasn't directly accused,
- 1:51:59Speaker 10: but somebody that seems to, you know, supposedly is running
- 1:52:03Speaker 10: some sort of a subterfuge, I guess, to keep property
- 1:52:06Speaker 10: taxes in place.
- 1:52:08Speaker 4: He sure brings in a lot of people that would
- 1:52:09Speaker 4: like to get rid of them.
- 1:52:11Speaker 10: And I, for one, have made it very clear that
- 1:52:13Speaker 10: I absolutely don't want any property taxes. And I disagree
- 1:52:17Speaker 10: with the senator when it comes to certain things on
- 1:52:19Speaker 10: what it would cost to offset that. I don't think
- 1:52:21Speaker 10: it would cost nearly as much as people think.
- 1:52:23Speaker 4: So, but then again... He's a lot smarter than me.
- 1:52:26Speaker 4: There is that, too. All right, so let's.
- 1:52:28Speaker 10: Go to Bubba out in the woodlands before we run
- 1:52:30Speaker 10: out of time. Bubba, we've only got about 45 seconds,
- 1:52:32Speaker 10: but I want to make sure you got it.
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: Chris, another byproduct of this tax increase on your property
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: is when you go to file a claim on your
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: homeowner insurance, it's based on a percentage of the value
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: of your house and not on the damage done to it,
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: like for your roof or whatever. That's going to cost
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: everybody big money. Because, you know, most of us keep
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: the premium low. You go with a higher deductible, right?
- 1:53:00Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 1:53:00Speaker 4: That's what I've done here lately. No, you're right on. Now,
- 1:53:04Speaker 4: thanks for the call, Bubba. Listen, there's... The other thing, too,
- 1:53:08Speaker 4: is there's a lot to this.
- 1:53:09Speaker 10: Getting old and being an adult and having to deal
- 1:53:11Speaker 10: with this sort of stuff is already difficult enough.
- 1:53:14Speaker 4: But then you throw in.
- 1:53:15Speaker 10: Like I said, natural disasters, and then you've got a
- 1:53:17Speaker 10: person running against the governor who's a Democrat who wants
- 1:53:20Speaker 10: to raid the Rainy Day Fund, something that we clearly
- 1:53:23Speaker 10: need here in Texas to go and buy votes. And
- 1:53:26Speaker 10: then our side, Donald Trump, does the exact same— well, he
- 1:53:28Speaker 10: doesn't do it.
- 1:53:29Speaker 4: He proposes the.
- 1:53:30Speaker 10: Exact same thing just to throw it back to the Democrats,
- 1:53:33Speaker 10: and we get mad at him. We have to know
- 1:53:36Speaker 10: what time it is and where it's communism time.
- 1:53:39Speaker 8: All right, gang, be safe.
- 1:53:40Speaker 4: Have a great weekend. We'll see you Monday.
