- 0:41This evening for you, thanks for joining its we've got talk about
- 0:45Superbikes this evening, actually fast-paced show, got
- 0:48Danny McFadden on the show tonight from Danny McFadden
- 0:50racing. Local super bike rider.
- 0:52Who's had a fantastic debut? Season will be hearing more from
- 0:56him later but as always, let's start off with this week's
- 0:59headlines election. What's been happening?
- 1:00Yeah, plenty going on. Still with it being Christmas
- 1:03period. But yeah, it's been a decent
- 1:06Christmas for Peterborough. Phantoms ice hockey fans and it
- 1:09was on as even in the big Christmas double-header.
- 1:11In local between the local Rivals and National League
- 1:14title, chases Peterborough. Phantoms and MK lightning
- 1:18Phantoms are in league and cup action.
- 1:20Again this weekend at the bees on Saturday, at home to Bristol
- 1:23pit bulls on Sunday and there would be no easing up as leak.
- 1:26Points are also at stake going back to the MK competition and
- 1:31games both teams won away from home with Phantoms triumphing
- 1:3462. Sorry for to in MK on boxing day
- 1:37before lightning hit back with a 6-2 success at Planet Ice on Day
- 1:42in front of over 1,000 fans comfortably, the biggest
- 1:44attendance of the Season at the city, bring M KN.
- 1:48Ow top of the table by a point from both leads and Phantoms
- 1:52lead to three games in hand on the leaders and four games in a
- 1:55hand on Phantoms Peterborough, Sports and football.
- 1:59Peter Sports suffered, a damaging Derby Day.
- 2:01Defeat our hands of Kettering town in National League.
- 2:04North at the be Arena on Boxing Day, a first-half red card for
- 2:08former Kettering. Skipper Connor, Kennedy.
- 2:11A pivotal moment in a tight contest.
- 2:14Kennedy walked five minutes before the break after
- 2:16collecting a second yellow card. The bottom for Side, open the
- 2:21scoring from the spot through Sheffield United Loney Frank
- 2:24McGuire in the 61st minute after a file from Sports, Richard
- 2:28Jones. But Sports won a spot kick of
- 2:30their own in the final, 10 minutes.
- 2:32Following a foul on Jordan Nicholson, which I School
- 2:35Captain done. Lawler converted but Maguire's
- 2:39quality down the right-hand side proved Dude, side provided
- 2:42visiting Skipper Gary Storer with the chance to win the game.
- 2:45Six minutes from time which he took Sports have dropped to
- 2:49ninth in the table. Still nine points, clear of
- 2:5121st, place to Kettering with the team set to meet again on
- 2:55New Year's Day at a park, in a 3, p.m. kickoff Speedway.
- 3:01And it's Peter upon themes of delivered, the perfect Christmas
- 3:05present to their supporters as Benjamin, basso has agreed to
- 3:08return for the 2023 season and in a further, Major boost
- 3:12agreement has been reached with main team sponsors.
- 3:15Crandon Timber engineering to continue their much valued
- 3:18backing of the club. The Panthers have also placed
- 3:222023 season tickets on sale which cover all 12 regular
- 3:26Premiership home fixtures at the east of England Arena, as well
- 3:29as one knockout Cup match season ticket applications can be made
- 3:33by emailing season tickets at Peterborough, hyphen
- 3:37Speedway.com. And we'll finish with a bit of
- 3:41women's American football and the next rookie Day is coming up
- 3:45for the Peterborough. Royals, it's a fantastic
- 3:48opportunity. Find out more about how you can
- 3:50get involved with the women's American football in
- 3:53Peterborough. It's a free session that will
- 3:55allow you to try different positions in a safe environment
- 3:58supported by the excellent coaching team.
- 4:00No experience is necessary. They welcomed all abilities to
- 4:03get involved and come down and try out Peterborough.
- 4:07Royals have just won the central East Division of the second year
- 4:10running. So you want, if you want Join an
- 4:12awesome team of women to go along.
- 4:14And the next day to look out for is the 7th of January, which is
- 4:17a week to week on Saturday and that's between 10 a.m. and 1
- 4:21p.m. at Peterborough. Lions Rugby Club and staying
- 4:26with the Lions Rugby Club and Peterborough.
- 4:28Our UFC, they will both return to action on the 7th of January
- 4:31after the Christmas break. And those are your sporting
- 4:34headlines this week to come back in English.
- 4:37Obviously not as much as normal they did.
- 4:39That is because obviously that they were in the post-christmas
- 4:41sort of Kind of dip, aren't we in terms of activity?
- 4:43So things will kick off again in January.
- 4:45But Posh much-needed win yesterday against them.
- 4:48Case been actually the forms that to say the least but a good
- 4:52performance in a good one yesterday.
- 4:54Yeah, a much-needed, three points performance wasn't the
- 4:57best but thats pasha's first victory, since October, the
- 5:0029th, when we beat Cambridge United at home, so long overdue
- 5:05and it's been a decent Christmas so far with a point at Charlton
- 5:09where we'll Blackmore made his debut for the club.
- 5:11I'm so full points for two games so far, and then we've got
- 5:14Wickham at home on New Year's Day.
- 5:16So a victory in that match would provide a decent return from
- 5:20three games. And yeah, seven points below
- 5:22three games would be very much welcomed and that then lead us
- 5:29into a two-week break actually because then Posh don't play
- 5:31again until the 16th of January which is Port Vale away as we've
- 5:35got no FA Cup game on the 7th of January.
- 5:38So yeah an opportunity for Posh to go into the New Year or on
- 5:42the back of a win and some decent film.
- 5:44And a good thing there is, despite the patchy formless a
- 5:47first win since the, since the end of October, but Pasha still
- 5:50in touch on that in that playoff zone, that's it.
- 5:53You know, there are teams that have maybe have games and but
- 5:55nonetheless, Pasha Steel in Touching distance and that's
- 5:57that's the main thing at this point in time.
- 5:58And then yeah, we're in touch and touching distance of the
- 6:01playoffs. I think the top three is
- 6:03probably out of our reach as the as the current form and table
- 6:07suggest we've got a lot of ground to make up on those top
- 6:10three to Vie for the Super automatic promotion places.
- 6:13So yeah. Hopefully the playoffs is our
- 6:17route back to the championship but it's one that we've got to
- 6:19work on. As you say, games in hand from
- 6:21other clubs and second half of the Season where we'll certainly
- 6:24to pick up points away from home.
- 6:27Because the first half of the season, are a waveform has been
- 6:29woeful to say the least and a quick mention you you made,
- 6:33therefore, will Blackmore, obviously, young lad, learning
- 6:35goal house that has been playing, yay, making his debut
- 6:38at Charlton, and nothing you could do about the show.
- 6:41Alton goal itself. But yeah, in the two games, he's
- 6:44played of a Charlton on boxing day and then MK at home at
- 6:48London Road last night. So yeah, it's acquit himself,
- 6:51very well done. Everything you've asked for him
- 6:54from somebody's making their debut for a young ladder to
- 6:57Football League level. So yeah, can't knock him.
- 7:00And no, doubt it will keep keep us busy Titian and keep the
- 7:04gloves for Wickham at home on New Year's Day.
- 7:06And the good thing is, he's actually a posh player on
- 7:08oversee. The because we brought in two
- 7:10goalkeepers on Loan in I'm a and Blackmore's obviously Comfort
- 7:14because I think he has come through the ranks and he ranks.
- 7:17Yeah, it's a posh player by right.
- 7:19Whereas hardly cut, right and licorice Bergstrom about them.
- 7:23Loni's from Hull and Chelsea respectively and how he's had
- 7:26his injury problems. Sadly in the first half of this
- 7:28season so he's not had the opportunity at all and Lucas is
- 7:32form has dipped recently and a little bit of illness has kept
- 7:35him out as well. So yeah Wheels come in and
- 7:37acquitted himself very well and will be looking to keep hold of
- 7:41the number one position for a few more games at least fingers
- 7:45crossed and he's had a good start to his Posh.
- 7:47Career switch is good, obviously transfer window will open soon.
- 7:50I think Grant McCann has sort of stated that the only positions
- 7:54he really wants to strengthen our fullback.
- 7:56Yeah that's what he's openly stated but you've got Jack
- 7:58Murray at leaving the club and I do feel that we need to
- 8:04strengthen that striking position.
- 8:05So yeah, as much as he said, he's looking to strengthen the
- 8:08full-back areas which, you know, is right to do so.
- 8:12In his own mind, I think, yeah, they'll be looking at
- 8:15centre-forward options as well, because we can't just go into
- 8:17the second half of the Season, just relying on a one main
- 8:20striker in Johnson, Clark Harris, especially with the
- 8:23youthfulness of Ricky, Jay Jones, call me Paco.
- 8:26And from Mason clerk, who haven't been able to contribute
- 8:30with goals in the first half of the season.
- 8:32And that's probably putting a little bit too much pressure on
- 8:34them as we as we fight for those play-off places, any links for
- 8:38any players and now I'm sure nothing substantial.
- 8:41I think substantial I'm sure they'll keep it hopefully behind
- 8:45closed doors and Posh fans will certainly know about it as soon
- 8:48as it hits the headlines. Yeah and the other thing I think
- 8:49McKenna said he's not a fan of loaning players.
- 8:51He wants to actually buy players.
- 8:52Yeah, that be interesting to see you from, you know, if they can
- 8:56work a deal at this stage of the Season, can imagine many clubs
- 8:59wanting to let Center forwards going in January.
- 9:01So it may well be alone and it could be a championship or a
- 9:06Premiership player who's looking to get League experience and one
- 9:10that hopefully push can give Jose.
- 9:12I mean obviously soon as we hear anything on the show, we'll have
- 9:14it for you. So thank you.

- 11:18R FM right over to our guest special guest this evening,
- 11:22Danny McFadden from Danny McFadden racing, who's a super
- 11:25bike rider? Hasn't been riding long, but
- 11:28I've got a wonderful Story to Tell in terms of how we got into
- 11:30sports and it's worth a listen. So Danny welcome to the show.
- 11:34Good evening. Thanks for having me on
- 11:35Pleasure, good to have you and good to see you.
- 11:37So I mean obviously you talked about Superbikes, we were just
- 11:43talking off air, actually, before before the show Started
- 11:46and you mentioned, obviously that it can appeal to a wide
- 11:48spectrum of people can in terms of certainly send over an age
- 11:53range and you know, so I'm getting to it in their teens and
- 11:57start writing, whereas others, you know, later in life for a
- 12:00reason, sort of, yeah, and wanted to try and do and I had
- 12:03the big 40 approaching and I wanted to actually try and see
- 12:07how I could get on, and yeah, sort of brookey.
- 12:10Lee year last year, first main year this year.
- 12:14Yeah, it's fantastic. So there's People from all ages
- 12:16and and yeah, all the way up people in their 60s, who are
- 12:19can't see, which way they went on track still anyting, sort of
- 12:2316, 17 year-olds doing the same thing, but it's very everybody's
- 12:26got their own battle going on on the grid.
- 12:29Everybody's there is a big family thing as well, so it's
- 12:31quite odd, sing. The Praises of anybody that
- 12:33would like to go along and watch or get involved or help out or
- 12:36just support any of the Riders. They're fantastic.
- 12:40It not a midlife crisis or anything.
- 12:44I'm gonna get onto motorbikes and have a bit It was something
- 12:46I've ever since I was a child and brother older, brother
- 12:50admire bikes and my stepdad motorbikes.
- 12:52And it was something, you know, I bribed a push button, making a
- 12:55noise pretending Elgin the bike and then life got in the way.
- 12:58So I did ride bikes on the road, did a few track days in my early
- 13:0220s and then our children and work and stuff got in the way
- 13:06and got back into it as needing a hobby because I didn't have an
- 13:09outlet. So that's why I'd be a good
- 13:11advocate for people trying to just if there's anything they've
- 13:13ever wanted to try. It's never Like so just try and
- 13:17actually go and adding a Competitive Edge to it.
- 13:20Is for me, I'm competing against myself and seeing what I can do
- 13:24and I find it bleeds out. It's gone out into the rest of
- 13:26my life. So maybe certain things in my
- 13:29life, I was letting carry on and but with when you start
- 13:32competitively, you actually start to look at things and
- 13:35think, well, how can I improve that?
- 13:36I'll make, I'm not enjoying this.
- 13:37Let's change and so yeah. 40 coming up was a thing from by
- 13:41means I'm not, I'm not the oldest, they're not the Youngest
- 13:46and it's really been, quite inclusive for my family as well.
- 13:48So my children will come along, they've all got into it.
- 13:50There's people, we've met some really good friends, made some
- 13:53friends and yeah and getting to come and do things like this,
- 13:56which I've never imagined or a little and I mean, just going
- 14:01back to us motor winding back a little bit.
- 14:04From you said you started over here at around the age of 40,
- 14:06but sounds like obviously you're into motorbikes from a younger
- 14:09age and and said, wasn't a case of you're sitting there at the
- 14:12age of 39 and a half and watching some TV and do a fancy
- 14:15better. No, it was a yes.
- 14:17Basically always been into bikes always sort of ridden them soon
- 14:20as I could on the road. Did the track day thing, which
- 14:24is fantastic and a good route in most of the bikes are far too
- 14:27fast. You can't enjoy them on the road
- 14:29to roads for nowadays, and I did detract days.
- 14:33And I just found that. Where could I take this?
- 14:36So when you're going to attract, that is not timed.
- 14:38Everybody's that there's different bikes different
- 14:40levels. So it was well, the next step is
- 14:42actually going to do my ACU license and From that point
- 14:46start to race and that was really just just the Catalyst
- 14:50for is is work Health. How can I improve myself and
- 14:54that was the next step and it's really easy to do and I'd say
- 14:57anybody that's sort of Maybe Might riding my bike on the road
- 15:00and feels it's getting a bit more dangerous or it's not quite
- 15:02you know you have the roads aren't in the condition.
- 15:04They want to be is just a really simple route in and it there's
- 15:08varying levels of talent throughout the Grid's as well.
- 15:11So there is a race for everybody.
- 15:14And it is really is quite an Environment to sort of test
- 15:17yourself and, and meet people. And most of these tracks in the
- 15:21UK were really lucky. We've got so many tracks, so we
- 15:24need to keep using them and getting people to come in, and
- 15:27it's particularly younger Generations.
- 15:28Are not so interested in cars or getting a little dry license or
- 15:31a motorbike. I do these sorts of things, so
- 15:34that would be quite good to try on it.
- 15:35Get on it, sell their phones. Don't they just want to say,
- 15:37thanks. I don't use.
- 15:41But yeah. So the 40 year old thing might
- 15:43have been on the radar for me when I thought let's Let's get,
- 15:46try something and I'm glad, I'm glad I have had an itch and you
- 15:49scratched it and, yeah, and it's your least you.
- 15:52You can look back in a few years time to say, yes, I've done this
- 15:55and I'm still having a go at it. Yeah, that's definitely.
- 15:58Definitely the way. And I think that could be good
- 15:59for all sports are not necessarily support.
- 16:01I'm doing anybody at sitting at home and thinking, I'd like to
- 16:03give that a go, there's Club as your shows shows, there's clubs
- 16:07for everything and there's a lot more going on locally for
- 16:10people. So just go and give it a go, it
- 16:11doesn't matter. If you're worried, you're not
- 16:13going to be good enough for people aren't going to be
- 16:15Receptive are generally Within These Sports everybody.
- 16:18So enthusiastic that they want you to become a part of it and
- 16:21it can be quite quickly. A good Network to sort of
- 16:23socialize and meet people and get active.
- 16:25Yeah, fantastic. So tell us about the season, you
- 16:28just had. So I'm alright, thinking the
- 16:29season you just had, was the debut season at that level, at
- 16:32that level. So, last year I did my ACU
- 16:34license, I had a bit of a shaky year, which did kind of test me
- 16:38to carry on. So, unfortunately, last track
- 16:41day, before my AC license, last year, I got caught up guys
- 16:44motorbike You up on the track. I crashed on that oil along with
- 16:48four of the people and broke my elbow literally four days before
- 16:51my ACU license. So I started the year injured
- 16:56with a damaged motorbike and all the sort of issues that brought
- 16:59finding it again. And so, last year, it was quite
- 17:01difficult we really tested me to keep going because it would've
- 17:03been a lot easier just to sort of give up and you know, stopped
- 17:07there. But I persevered through that
- 17:10and then this year I didn't come into it of any injuries.
- 17:13I was supported by Sycamore. And a bike.
- 17:16And it's just been a really fantastic year where I've
- 17:20thoroughly enjoyed it. And it's sort of if I'd given up
- 17:23last year, I've never ever experienced this year and this
- 17:26year is, I went straight to a slightly higher level going in
- 17:29thinking, I'd be at the back and perfectly happy that I would be
- 17:33at the back and I've sort of work myself, further forward,
- 17:37but it's very much been from a testing myself, and having fun
- 17:42side of it, and trying to take it too seriously and you buddy.
- 17:45I've had a very Whispering, respectable finish 22 Seasons
- 17:48while I'm yeah, I did a fortune. I did have an accident and I
- 17:50crashed out of the last round on the, on the qualifying and did a
- 17:53bit of damage to the biker, luckily I'm fine.
- 17:55Which is the main thing, but I lost a whole weekend's worth of
- 17:57points but which was a shame. But, you know, it happens.
- 18:01It's a risk of the sport and the main thing is, if you can walk
- 18:04away with it without any injuries.
- 18:05So luckily, this time I did whereas last year olds and so
- 18:08lucky. So, tell us about the Finish
- 18:11then so where are you? What, what level did you race?
- 18:14And where do you finish? Also, within the sea.
- 18:16So when you carry out your first, you start as a rookie and
- 18:19there's many different levels of motorcycles within that.
- 18:22So you've got six hundred thousands twins Two Strokes.
- 18:26I'm in the Thousand category, which is probably lose a biggest
- 18:29engine, most powerful one that people go to and then beyond
- 18:33your first year, you re so many races.
- 18:36You have to have your signatures to show that you've finished and
- 18:38competed at a level. So you start off with a bib and
- 18:41you start off gone in a rookie grid and then you can move up to
- 18:44Next Level would be Club. Up and a lot of people stay at
- 18:47Club level for you know indefinitely and that's quite a
- 18:49wide range of talent and races and I sort of bypass the club
- 18:54level and went up to the the highest one within the low limit
- 18:57Paddock purely because it was I didn't want the prep, the
- 19:02pressure. There's no pressure been at that
- 19:03level for me. I was going in there and I'll
- 19:05get into race with people that, you know, many of them use it as
- 19:08testing. So a lot of the guys are on the
- 19:10Telly, there people are wachtell, retired races, and
- 19:12things like that. So it's a bit like being able to
- 19:15join a Leg and suddenly, you've got to a Premiership plays Kit
- 19:18on the same track as yeah. So it's been fantastic and
- 19:21they're down to earth people, they're fantastic.
- 19:23So this year was about level and I'm back on that grid again next
- 19:27year, and they'll probably be some people leave some will
- 19:30come, so it's always a moving Target.
- 19:32So I'll go in with no expectations again except for if
- 19:35I can improve my times and my consistency and then the rest of
- 19:39it, I can't control it. So everyone against on the desk.
- 19:42But to put that into perspective, then what's the
- 19:44highest level of Racing available in the UK or in the
- 19:47new. Then where, where is, where is
- 19:48where is out yet? So the grid I would be on a
- 19:50thousand seek CC capacity. That would be the sort of top
- 19:54Elite in big at no-limits Club. There's a few racing clubs
- 19:57within the UK that have their own grids.
- 20:00That is diminishing. So we've lost another clubs
- 20:03Thunder Sports closed is one of them.
- 20:05So each year some of these clubs disappear and then and then
- 20:08we're effectively numbered a numbers game now.
- 20:12So fortunate is why we can get young people to come into it and
- 20:14start supporting We might see some more clubs, open up more,
- 20:18more options to Race, So within a No Limits Paddock, that'll be
- 20:22the top grid and then beyond that, you'll then stepping into
- 20:25the British Superbike, which is a televised which is like the
- 20:28Pinnacle and the British Superbike Paddock or the series
- 20:32is one of the best if not the best domestic Series in the
- 20:35world. So those people have talent, you
- 20:37can stick them on a grid in any of the world competitions.
- 20:40And I'd be up there but unfortunately there's not really
- 20:43enough money in the sport for a lot of these guys.
- 20:45Guys to make the jump from pretty much pain for they're
- 20:48racing to get in. You know getting that it's a
- 20:50managing football Jetties. It's just unfortunately there's
- 20:53a small amount that can make a living at it.
- 20:55Rest of these guys that you're watching on the Telly.
- 20:57Probably paying to be there or there, you know, come Monday
- 21:00morning they're getting up and going to work and and yeah
- 21:02that's so that would be the bsv pad it would be the next week
- 21:05will mention Speedway for example yeah it's been a ride as
- 21:08for example you know yeah cheering they have bikes in
- 21:11different countries, yet Poland and say yeah yeah yeah' electron
- 21:14may have to fly to These different countries just to get
- 21:18competitions to earn money on the point that they they yeah.
- 21:21Yeah. And then others why know I've
- 21:23had other jobs as well, certainly this time of year, if
- 21:25they're not racing they need to be earning a living somehow
- 21:28hours. They'll pick up a job somewhere.
- 21:29Definitely while working on their bikes as well at the same
- 21:32time. So yes, Yep.
- 21:34This is it is the end speed was probably one of the last
- 21:36bastions of people who can make a living purely because I've got
- 21:39that option of being able to hop on the plane and go and, you
- 21:42know, Poland for example, make the money there, but that might
- 21:45be Changing with cost of flights and and things who knows.
- 21:48But yeah with the regards to the sort of road racing that we do,
- 21:52there's a separate side which is your actual road racing, which
- 21:55is still an area that people can make money.
- 21:57But as the dangerous Thailand man, here island road races and
- 22:00things and then we're short circuiting closed-circuit
- 22:04British Superbike is the paddock to be in.
- 22:07I mean, it'd be nice one day to maybe try and make a couple
- 22:10races in there. But I would be so far at the
- 22:12back. Here, all the talent.
- 22:16The talent is incredible. Yeah, he mentioned them on a man
- 22:20there. Have you done?
- 22:21The TT was never meant it. I know people that are doing it
- 22:25and a lot of people try and sidestep.
- 22:26Go from short circuit to the road racing.
- 22:28Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:30Hats off to her medicine creates a yeah.
- 22:32The skill level involved in racing.
- 22:33So when we do races, you might be racing for 20 minutes, 25
- 22:38minutes and we need, you think the TT Riders are hour and a
- 22:41half? Two hours flat out on on a
- 22:42closed road? Yeah the concentration level.
- 22:45To be able to do that is, yeah, you ever been tempted?
- 22:48Or would you ever consider it? No, not personally.
- 22:51No, but I appreciate the people that do that, and I think that
- 22:56everybody's got their own reasons for doing those things
- 22:59and that, but for me, is the risk because I've got children.
- 23:01So I'll always have the dad with four kids head on, with regards
- 23:06to some of the risks I take and there's and as dangerous as
- 23:09mobile racing, is it, when you're on a closed track and
- 23:12you've got Marshals and you've got safety barriers and Thanks
- 23:16guys, who say, yeah, can be. Yeah, you know, but it still is
- 23:20it is a dangerous sport. Absolutely.
- 23:23Absolutely. Right.

- 25:54studio. He's a super bike rider.
- 25:56Part of Danny McFadden racing new to the sport and you just
- 26:01been telling us about how you got involved with what he does.
- 26:03And these first debut season, which has been a really, really
- 26:06good season prior to the the break, we'll talk about road
- 26:11racing and Danny mentioned that it's not something that he
- 26:14perhaps would consider. But there are other forms of
- 26:18racing within the, the Superbikes Arena.
- 26:20And you mentioned what you mentioned off air one called
- 26:23Durance and how does that work? Then he, yes.
- 26:26And the endurance was a second to sort of the 3, Mark.
- 26:29And at each of the events, they have over a three or five or an
- 26:338 Hour race and that test something different to that.
- 26:36Sort of all outpaced going for sort of 15, 20 laps.
- 26:39This is pacing yourself going out for an hour at a time, or
- 26:42whether your petrol tank would allow and all of the sort of
- 26:47strategies and when to pick, when not to pick, went to do
- 26:49tire changes. So, we was in that with another
- 26:53team. Remember David Williamson who
- 26:54was, who was this year? We come third in the
- 26:56championship and the end, which was just really good and brought
- 27:00my riding on considerably because it was just so much more
- 27:02seat time. But from a Spectators point of
- 27:05view it's quite a good thing to come and watch because there's a
- 27:0730-plus teams out there a lot going on and it brought all my
- 27:11family into being you know, doing the pit board and doing
- 27:13the tire changes and stuff like that.
- 27:15So if you have a fantastic event I'd like to be part of again in
- 27:17the future, sounds good, you mentioned their tank of fuel
- 27:21only last about an hour, then I've a surprise attack.
- 27:23I guess he could you guarding it crazy speeds higher.
- 27:26Yeah. So sometimes it would be less of
- 27:2745 minutes to an hour, could be dependent on the track and the
- 27:31average speed of the track. The smaller bites would last a
- 27:33lot longer but the Thousand CC here, that's we've got 16 later
- 27:36tanks and it doesn't go that fun.
- 27:39If we nice, if they did, more sort of speeds, do you travel?
- 27:42Because I know obviously is easy to accept.
- 27:44It is extremely fast, but you know what?
- 27:46Sort of speed ranges you actually traveling at.
- 27:48Well, the boy is so dependent on the, on the track, the bike.
- 27:51So most of the bikes in the grid, I'm on.
- 27:53Are probably 190 to 210 brake horsepower, probably 180 kilos.
- 27:58And so, yeah, they don't mean they could do 200 miles an hour.
- 28:01If you've got the straight cut straight yet, most of the
- 28:03tracks, your easy getting 140. Plus yeah.
- 28:06The power-to-weight ratio of the box is quite incredible.
- 28:09So yeah the speeds are up there and it very in varying on the
- 28:13track the average speed can be quite alike daunting and places
- 28:16like that. It's here, that can be a fast
- 28:18lap. Yeah.
- 28:19Hence, the fuel and tires disappear quite quickly.
- 28:23Don't think I've ever traveled in the corner fast, I don't
- 28:25anymore. I'm not passing the
- 28:26characterize. I'll get it all out on track and
- 28:28I'll sort of Bob along the road at your very sensibly.
- 28:32You ride a Yamaha at the moment. Yes.
- 28:33Yeah. So one of the questions we've
- 28:36had in from of our listeners, Chris sharp Avid Superbike found
- 28:39himself is he says it, which circuits favor, the Yamahas
- 28:42characteristics. Then the sort of General
- 28:45conception is that the Yamaha is is a sort of fast-flowing tracks
- 28:49so it does like the open tracks like Donington or things like
- 28:52that. Where you were.
- 28:53You're doing sort of high average speeds.
- 28:55It probably suffers a little bit out of the slower corners, but
- 28:59my level the bikes tend to. It's probably the ride that
- 29:02makes a bit of the difference. But on the world stage is that
- 29:05the Yamaha are is a very sort of fast flowy, track likes its own
- 29:08lines. You do find some of the bikes
- 29:11that have a lot more punch out. The corners, for example, you
- 29:15can interfere with each other. So start part of the tricks
- 29:18trying to make sure you line each other up at the right time
- 29:20to get past it, if not, they can bulk.
- 29:22Yeah. But yeah, I'm Hollow resistant,
- 29:24really good. It's a good package around is
- 29:27really get it's not a tiring bike to ride and that really
- 29:30helped in the endurance. Where are your, not physically?
- 29:32Fighting this thing all the time?
- 29:33Which helps, which then leads us on to your sponsor then yes,
- 29:36yes, they come off. Yeah, for being at allowing you
- 29:40to do what you do. Yeah, great, local company.
- 29:42So Sycamore of several dealerships within that, within
- 29:45the town and area there. One of the newest, the word, the
- 29:47newest Yamaha dealer at the time.
- 29:50And yeah, thankfully, they came aboard and supplied me with You
- 29:53know, package and sponsorship and have really supported me
- 29:56just small things like, you know, they come and watch and be
- 29:59part of it. And it's quite nice that they've
- 30:01started their dealership and my racing at the same sort of time.
- 30:04So, yeah, they've been a great help.
- 30:06We're about to they base that I am so that nothing them, so
- 30:08they're definitely. Yeah.
- 30:09So they've actually Harley-Davidson garage site as
- 30:12well. So it's quite day out to go down
- 30:14there and see it but yeah, it's nice.
- 30:17Nice dealership going and grateful for their support.
- 30:19No doubt. Bearing in mind, the cost
- 30:20element you talked about and yes.
- 30:22Oh yeah. You know the types of Likes that
- 30:23you need and the support that you need as well.
- 30:26You're definitely the kind of core support will do need to
- 30:28support and and yes it's like most Sports.
- 30:32It's probably hard trying to find that support and we've
- 30:35costs going up. And so just fuel going up double
- 30:37in the last few years. Tires, go and everything goes
- 30:40up. So any help we can get is
- 30:41fantastic and they've been really good.
- 30:43And, you know, it is, yeah, right, really good thing to help
- 30:47me with and, and yeah, so there are guys that have no support
- 30:51and say, give out some dresses and stuff to look at later on.
- 30:56And I mean, just people supporting the race pages and
- 30:59other Riders and just sort of looking and maybe clicking 11
- 31:02and look at it will just help it.
- 31:03Other Riders could maybe get some exposure as well and see if
- 31:07they can get a few pennies in the pot to help help push them
- 31:09forward a little bit. Yeah, sounds good.
- 31:11So what do what do you think? And will provide free obviously,
- 31:14the provide users with the actual rock bike that you ride.
- 31:16But do they provide you a service around that like
- 31:18mechanics to? Yeah, they're great.
- 31:19Yes, non-right. Actually, Race Day.
- 31:21Surprise days a week. We get Spares and parts package
- 31:24on the bike. They pay towards some of the
- 31:27fees and bits and pieces. We do quite a lot.
- 31:29So my wife's very good at doing the social media side of things,
- 31:33so it's quite reciprocal. So what we find is, we can help
- 31:35push people towards a dealership that helps them with sales helps
- 31:39with me with exposure, and it's worked quite nicely.
- 31:42Yeah, it's been, is it keeps any kids carry busy who, that's what
- 31:48you're talking about when you as well.
- 31:49Just about that, that Network around you that allows you to
- 31:52then Focus. Knowing that you've got one of
- 31:54the best bikes that's comfortable for you that you
- 31:56feel comfortable with more importantly but then you've got
- 31:58that support network behind you that you can focus on.
- 32:01Just deriding effectively you do it hurts.
- 32:03I said only hats off to anybody who's doing it themselves.
- 32:06There's a lot of hats to wear and it can detract from what
- 32:10were your truck. You know, the riding itself is
- 32:11quite straight. You know, you really want to
- 32:13focus. So I'm very lucky.
- 32:14I've got a good family around me and people want to help and that
- 32:18does allow me to focus on the bit.
- 32:19I need to focus on, but yeah, it is, it is a sort of a team.
- 32:23Effort that goes behind it all for us.
- 32:25Sounds good. What advice would you give to
- 32:27anyone? Who wants to get involved in the
- 32:28sport? And then they say, you got
- 32:29involved around the age of 40, but people get in, get involved
- 32:33ulong, lot, younger age, even older age.
- 32:35So what advice would you give to anyone who thinks, you know, I
- 32:38can buy fancy better that or at least want to have a look at it
- 32:40or try out. Yeah, that's it.
- 32:42Reach out to people like made it.
- 32:43Anybody that racist motorbikes are.
- 32:46As part of it will want to get more people involved, sober all
- 32:49the same, you know, if you're not sure about it send us a
- 32:52message. We can always see our tickets
- 32:54come along and watch. These people, are they want to
- 32:56get into the mechanical side. All of us would appreciate
- 33:00someone coming and helping out. So it might be somebody
- 33:02thinking, I'd like to get into being a racer mechanic, then
- 33:03just contact some Riders and say, you know, do you want me to
- 33:06come along and you could come and help out and pitch?
- 33:08Change tires do Fuel and there's you know, there's all sorts of
- 33:12roots in. I was talking about pit bikes
- 33:13earlier, which is a fate, which is really coming on strong.
- 33:16So go-kart tracks off the days usually, which is for a small
- 33:19pit bikes Japanese, you know, Chinese little pit bikes.
- 33:22That's a really cheap. To get into the sport, it's all
- 33:25the same skill. Sets, you can practice on a
- 33:28slower speeds have really good, fun, cheap fun, doing it, and
- 33:31then maybe catch the eye of somebody or think I'm going to
- 33:33progress and, and get some support and go up through the
- 33:36ranks. And that's that's pretty much
- 33:37what they do, abroad, Spain. And all these places that have
- 33:39really good youth academies for stuff like that, we can get
- 33:42people more people become interested, the more, the more
- 33:45chance we have actually having a route for people to get get into
- 33:48the sport. So if they want to get ahold of
- 33:50Danny, how can I do that? Right, so I've got some so I've
- 33:53got A few are so most of its. So I've got Instagrams at Danny
- 33:56McFadden racing. Same for Facebook, Twitter's
- 34:00Daniel P McFadden and Tick Tock is at Danny McFadden racing also
- 34:06and then there's no limit to one part of the No Limits race club.
- 34:09So they've got my limits racing, they run courses for people who
- 34:13maybe have already got my bikes at the minute and think, you
- 34:15know what, I wouldn't mind having a go at right erased.
- 34:18You can go just to erase day, it's really easy.
- 34:20It's all about making sure that you can Through it teaching, you
- 34:24are able to save the elements and then and the are give it a
- 34:27go and if anybody wants any advice and like say contact me
- 34:30directly or No Limits page, just put some messages up and they'll
- 34:34be dozens of people and it's helped you because we all want
- 34:36people will want more details. I mean, which point or how do
- 34:40you prove to sorry? Let me rephrase that.
- 34:43Obviously, you're in partnership with Sycamore, you know, if
- 34:47somebody just wants to start out, they can't walk into a
- 34:48dealership and say, give me a bike and all the support.
- 34:50But how do you establish that relationship?
- 34:52And at which point, Point, would you be deemed good enough to be
- 34:56able to Warrant that sort of level of sponsorship and
- 34:58support? How does that?
- 34:59How does that work? You know.
- 35:00Is it, is it circumstantial? Did something to them?
- 35:04Yeah, it's like most things, like some of it can be
- 35:06circumstantial. There will be people who are far
- 35:08more talented than me that don't get the opportunities and vice
- 35:11versa. Some of it's putting yourself
- 35:13out there and asking the question some of it is maybe
- 35:17you'll fund at you. You can fund it yourself but
- 35:20you'll get some help from guys. So there's local.
- 35:23Please people who are into racing also run their own
- 35:28businesses and will little small businesses may be helpful few
- 35:31pounds here and there help you, maybe learn a bike, there's lots
- 35:34of ways in but a lot of it is you kind of need to put a bit
- 35:37into it so you probably need to get yourself out there and and
- 35:39ask and sometimes I think it's better to ask and have somebody
- 35:44say no then it is to not ask. Yeah, and you never know, there
- 35:47might be a friend of a friend is always a route into something.
- 35:49If you ask enough people then eventually you should hopefully
- 35:52find something that will help. But like sometimes just speaking
- 35:55to people who are already doing, it will give you advice and to
- 35:58maybe how best to go forward. But yeah, that definitely there
- 36:04is help out there at times are harder at the moments.
- 36:07Maybe companies might not be so forthcoming as they were but
- 36:10yeah, just get out and asking and hopefully your client could
- 36:14you reproach an existing racing team.
- 36:15So for example, Donnie McClurkin racing is it as a team you ride
- 36:18for them. Nilesh shall I come along and
- 36:22say, look, we fancy a bit? Super biking to me.
- 36:24Join your team, could you as a team take on more than one
- 36:27Rider. I obviously you're the only
- 36:29Rider I guess in your team, but you have a group of riders that
- 36:31for whatever right under the umbrella stand and fatten find
- 36:34that, it really depends on the size of the search.
- 36:37So I'm quite small at the moment, it's just me, there are
- 36:39teams out there that take on and support Young Riders.
- 36:42It really depends on your age and your circumstance.
- 36:44And what level you're trying to come in at, so it does vary.
- 36:48I'd say your best route would be really to if you're a young
- 36:52Rider, I think try and get Tin with the there's lots of little
- 36:54mini bikes. Here is like I said, pit bikes
- 36:56here, is that are quite cheap to relatively for Motorsport, to
- 36:59get into and they're usually have a route through.
- 37:02So if you do, if you, if you are going to try and make a
- 37:05professional route through, if you've obviously got the skill,
- 37:08there's normally at that next level, there's people there that
- 37:10have Team structures usually in the National BSB Paddock.
- 37:13For example, they almost have like, a talent Roots, but, you
- 37:17know, so they're watching at that level and go, okay?
- 37:18Next year, will will fund you to go to this next level and you
- 37:21kind of stepping stone up. People like myself with aged out
- 37:25of that, I'm not going to get that sort of support.
- 37:27So it's very much, never know, it's very much like the
- 37:30companies and people sort of seeing seeing how they can help
- 37:33out that's good that at least there's a pathway there and then
- 37:35like say a potential sort of scholarship if you like
- 37:39yesterday to allow Riders to do more and some of the bsp teams
- 37:43in particular. They've sort of set these roots
- 37:45up in the last couple of years, which are trying to feed get
- 37:48people into it because it sort of noticing that maybe people
- 37:51are moving away from that type of things.
- 37:53So they are trying to actively bring in the next talent for our
- 37:56listeners. What does BSB stand free
- 37:58Superbike right? Okay good.
- 37:59Yeah, just one your rice for. So that's the sort of mainly
- 38:01only televised one, right? Okay, okay, so that's the
- 38:04exposure that level effectively than ever the being on those
- 38:07teams are sort of trying to bring on the young talent and
- 38:09bring them up and push them and ideally trying to get him on the
- 38:12world stage but that's a whole other conversation.
- 38:14That's right. Let's take another short break

- 40:59From the very start, you missed a great one.
- 41:01Got Danny McFadden on the show tonight from Danny McFadden
- 41:04racing. A super bike rider.
- 41:05Just been telling us his story about how he got involved in
- 41:08sports and what it takes to to become a writer Daniel just
- 41:14quickly. What I mean, obviously, If
- 41:16you've done told us how you got in sport, what's happened so
- 41:18far? Sort of talking about the
- 41:20future, looking ahead. What's the sort of immediate
- 41:24ambition, say, for next season. There's a season runs from March
- 41:27to October in the superbike sport.
- 41:29So what's your, what's your plans and Ambitions if I can
- 41:33progress, time-wise? So, obviously it, my competitors
- 41:37can change. I don't know who's going to be
- 41:38on the grid, but if I can keep improving and getting faster
- 41:42that, but that's my goal for the year, basically have fun.
- 41:46Try and enjoy it as much as possible, and just keep
- 41:48improving and see where I can end up with regards to times.
- 41:52And then, yeah, see how many more years I can keep racing and
- 41:54as you said, oh, what would you eventually like to do some point
- 41:57future down the line? Once I'm not riding anymore?
- 42:00For example, I would like to look to try and have a right to
- 42:03try and support any up, come rider and go for that and just
- 42:06keeping the paddock because that's quite a big thing for us
- 42:09is I really enjoy the padding, the people there and once I'm
- 42:12not ride in it, if I can find a reason to still be there and
- 42:15it's helping on some new Talent. And that would be that be the
- 42:17old man go. Yeah you talked about the sport.
- 42:19Sadly numbers dwindling going in a junior level yet know the
- 42:23younger element and I suppose you could be their Mentor
- 42:25continue in that way as well. Be a nice thing to do.
- 42:27Yeah just try and keep try and keep the blood.
- 42:29You know people coming into the sport and keep keep the tracks
- 42:33used and keep them. Otherwise they disappear, they
- 42:35won't be coming back. Shavers met in the obviously.
- 42:40So you defective keep Danny McFadden racing going.
- 42:43Yeah, with different riders or rider riders.
- 42:46And obviously have that as the as the pathway for up-and-coming
- 42:49writers. Yeah, maybe I can be the got
- 42:51telomere faster used to be showing on story, make it sound
- 42:59all better than it was. Yeah, that would be nice to the
- 43:01bukit of that sort of input that be great.
- 43:03Absolutely brilliant. So once again just giving out
- 43:06your details, if anyone is interested in participating in
- 43:09sport like so you're not your perhaps not taking on a
- 43:11mentorship just now but anyone generally one is get involved in
- 43:14sport. How can they get in touch with
- 43:15you and And yeah, so find out more about it.
- 43:17So most of them, Danny McFadden racing so Instagram, Twitter,
- 43:21Tick-Tock Facebook send us a message and I'll help out as
- 43:25best I can. I'll say it's not just Roots as
- 43:27people who maybe want to become a martial.
- 43:29So there's volunteers, the Marshals are all volunteers.
- 43:33They can go and training courses and that's a really great
- 43:35without them, we won't be able to race and that's quite a
- 43:38family and people go and enjoy that.
- 43:40You can come and watch and spectate you can come and help
- 43:42in the garage. You can just try and be a part
- 43:44of it and actually get a feel for All right, you had to send a
- 43:47message to me and I say, look at No Limits, look at NN Sycamore,
- 43:52an example, I've been told they've got a special on so if
- 43:55anybody is looking for a new Yamaha thinking about it, if
- 43:58they say Sycamore at Danny McFadden Racing for January and
- 44:02February, they're going to do an extra 500 pound off any used or
- 44:05stock bike they've got and that sort of stuff is just to help.
- 44:09Keep me racing. That's it.
- 44:11What an offer. That's a hot off the presses
- 44:13rolling it came in while you're on the air.
- 44:14Yeah. Fantastic.
- 44:18So how many races are in a season?
- 44:20Then, how many times do you race in at about eight to nine
- 44:23rounds? I think its nine coming up and
- 44:25then in my not have three races over the weekend plus, this this
- 44:29year, I had the endurance as well.
- 44:31So I was doing a lot of racing this year.
- 44:33So this coming year it's looking like I'm just going to be doing
- 44:35the sprint races which will give me a maybe focus on the actual
- 44:40short, sprint races and do 3. Some of the grid are four races.
- 44:44It depends what class you're in. It does.
- 44:46Every little bit. So we do a few more laps and a
- 44:48little less race and the others, and then there's a test and
- 44:52qualify. And so it's quite a busy weekend
- 44:54in terms of circuits then mentioned Donington as one.
- 44:58Yeah, so we do find wide across the country.
- 45:00We normally do Donington twice. So the national layout in the GP
- 45:04layout, which most people know this year, we did silverstern.
- 45:07We're not doing that next year, but we do crafts angle C, which
- 45:11is fantastic circuit open Park, which is brilliant.
- 45:16John, I think I'm testing you right now.
- 45:19Cadwell Park is fantastic. I've been bitten there a couple
- 45:21of times but as a Tracker love it.
- 45:23So we do most of the most of the sort of major tracks in the UK
- 45:27and yeah, they're all, they're all got their quirks and they're
- 45:29all, they're all fantastic. That must be dreaming itself,
- 45:32really come? You've no doubt seen sick bikes
- 45:34and I've watched it yet there and you're actually taking part
- 45:37on those circuits. It's been brilliant and, and
- 45:40prior to the race, and I hadn't written a lot of the track.
- 45:42So, track days and things. I'd only done two or three of
- 45:45the tracks. He's been a bit of learning
- 45:46curve trying to learn them in a race environment.
- 45:49But the UK we're really lucky with the tracks we've got and
- 45:52they are a good day out even if you're not into it might not
- 45:54necessarily be the motorbike racing.
- 45:56They have car racing Lori racing.
- 45:58Classic racing that they are really spectacular places to go
- 46:02and spend the day and take the kids and walk around in a
- 46:0510-pound, a ticket or whatever it may be.
- 46:07They are worth just a trip to to go and say because it we are
- 46:10very lucky to have them. Any favorite venue that?
- 46:13You've got winning one that really enjoyed racing?
- 46:15Ha ha, you know, Tesco car park. Fantastic Cadwell.
- 46:23I mean Silverstone was quite a thing to go to but it's such a
- 46:26different type of track than a GP property P for the one tack
- 46:29is so wide and so different, whereas most the UK track.
- 46:33So I'll dare fields or, you know, they're all really heavy
- 46:35and narrow and quite naturally. So yeah, I like all of them but
- 46:40I'll still not flat there either.
- 46:41Is that compared to places like Oakland Park even done it and
- 46:44then Cadwell. Yeah.
- 46:45It's Why should wait to get? Yeah, once it's than yeah.
- 46:50Well Parks like a single Track Road and then you go to
- 46:52Silverstein and you've got to try and learn to use all of that
- 46:55train. Yeah.
- 46:57But yeah, they're uh, they've all got their pros and cons, but
- 47:00yeah, just just the fact we've got so many different ones is
- 47:02quite it's Challenge and it gives everyone a chance because
- 47:05you might be good at one track and one style of track and you
- 47:08go to the next one. And somebody that it wasn't as
- 47:10good at the last round is really up there that round, and it
- 47:13keeps it Championship quite interesting because he gets
- 47:16their chance to sort of move forward in the grid because that
- 47:19you must have certain favorable cracks we think.
- 47:21Yeah, I feel good today or this weekend because I know that I
- 47:24can perform well on track that tracks my style and the bike
- 47:27suits it. Well, let's 100% and some days
- 47:29because it's such a mind, get it sought to do you mind you can
- 47:33just have a weekend where your it whatever, reason, nothing's
- 47:36clicking, and then so you can it really does affect is sort of
- 47:40working through those days is the fact is like why today I am
- 47:43I so much there's so much more hard work than it was.
- 47:46Last time I was here and that's the thing.
- 47:47It's very hard to recreate the same performance each time and
- 47:51that's where the real top level. They have to perform, you know,
- 47:55bit like football. You know.
- 47:56They're expected to perform at that on that day the week at
- 47:59that time and because it is so varied.
- 48:01It's it really is quite. It's quite difficult to get to
- 48:05that level at my age. I think that's the Price Is,
- 48:09Right? That this thing has been able to
- 48:10switch on. Yeah.
- 48:11And after, you know, when you have to rather than some days
- 48:14are going, you know what, it's just not working.
- 48:16In terms of the different circuits they've talked about
- 48:18their own nuances and challenges and so I suppose different bikes
- 48:22are stupid with different circuit.
- 48:23Yeah, doubt as well, get my perspective.
- 48:25So and we've had an unquestioning from Chris again
- 48:27here. He's just, but firstly,
- 48:30congratulations on your 10th position last season.
- 48:32How does the Yamaha R1 compete with the power of the v40?
- 48:36Predators, and Ducatis, they're all.
- 48:40So, yeah. So they're all roughly around
- 48:41the same sort of headline power. I've written a few of them.
- 48:44They do have their perks. Some of the bikes, like the new
- 48:47BMW, for example, my perception of that bite, and the Aprilia
- 48:51really strong on Corner exit at slow Corners.
- 48:53Whereas the Yamaha right there, it doesn't quite hook up.
- 48:56The electronics aren't quite the same as some of the other bikes.
- 48:58So when you go to track you can be behind somebody.
- 49:01And for example, one half of the track, you can see there by,
- 49:04it's got strengths that you're struggling.
- 49:06Within the next half is they're struggling with yours.
- 49:08So you do have to ride your bike strengthen and characteristics.
- 49:13But generally we're all fairly evenly matched Matched.
- 49:16Because they've all got more power than most of us can use
- 49:18and it's the traction of the tie.
- 49:20That's the sort of thing limiting factor and then the
- 49:22talent of the rider, but certain tracks do seek certain bikes and
- 49:26then like I said with regards to the rider as well.
- 49:29You can go that one round two or three Riders, you can't keep
- 49:33with them but the next round they can't keep with you.
- 49:36And then that some most of that comes down to the fact is that
- 49:39you maybe that strength of your track or the bike.
- 49:42Yeah. Are you enjoying the Yamaha at
- 49:44the moment? I love the absolutely love it.
- 49:45Yeah. But if you were the bullets in
- 49:46it is, it is as it is really use a friend by, it's lovely.
- 49:50Yeah. So I'm hopefully, I can maintain
- 49:52the keep on the Mr for a while. Yeah.
- 49:54And how does a rider choose a bike?
- 49:59Then obviously, because if somebody purchases by can be an
- 50:01expensive mistake, if they, you know, few months down I think
- 50:03that it's not a bike for me, obviously, because selling buy a
- 50:05new one but nonetheless, there's that, that upheaval of doing
- 50:08that, isn't it? Yeah, it really is.
- 50:09And that's probably at the sort of upper end level.
- 50:12I can see where you can have may even form of 14.
- 50:15Example driver can be very strong in one car.
- 50:18Then they move to another team and they're not as strong and it
- 50:21can be the same with bikes. So you do.
- 50:23And unfortunately we don't all get to test these bikes before
- 50:25we buy them. So you end up, can buy a bike
- 50:27and go down a road and realize actually this is not for me and
- 50:31then struggle with it for quite a while, so that can happen.
- 50:33So unfortunately it's a bit of a Gamble and you get sometimes you
- 50:36get lucky and you click with it straight away and I did with the
- 50:38Mr. Perhaps you find it you know you went out to stick a more.
- 50:42Obviously they invite you you had a conversation with him.
- 50:44One out. Was that like Yeah, match made
- 50:46in heaven. Effectively that point you
- 50:48thought yet? This is the bike.
- 50:49That's exactly, yeah. So it just the way it Rody.
- 50:51Actually reminded me of. I had a dejar de Triumph 600 675
- 50:56before and I jumped on the mo on it, and it basically felt like a
- 51:00big version of that, which was probably my all-time favorite
- 51:02favorite bike that I've had. And so then, yeah, I knew that
- 51:06was the right decision to go on that.
- 51:09Brilliant Danny. It's been an absolute pleasure
- 51:11and thank you for coming on the show and Carrie.
- 51:14He's just sitting behind your nose.
- 51:15A massive support for you in and the team there.
- 51:17So certainly want to hear back from you.
- 51:20Good luck for the new season next, year and keep us updated.
- 51:23Will give you a shout outs in the headlines obviously, and
- 51:26obviously pop back and see us as well commit, if you get a chance
- 51:28to meet some to see how you're getting on.
- 51:29So but it's certainly, thank you very much and happy New Year to
- 51:33you as well. See ya, thanks for all your
- 51:36advice sir. Yeah choose depends.
- 51:37Yep. Great to hear from Fannie.
- 51:39Then certainly adrenaline rush I think is what I'm thinking just
- 51:43sitting here. Listening here to him there as
- 51:45well but I'm off. I'm quite happy just to be on
- 51:46the outside things, right? Exactly, right.
- 51:50We'll be back same time. Same place next week.
- 51:52PCR Sports on pc. R, FM, 6.
- 51:54To 7 p.m. have a great week. What are we doing?
- 51:56Sporting wise and obviously have a happy New Year and we'll see
- 52:00you in the new year. Take care.
- 52:01Bye bye.
