Latest / Two Ts In A Pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge / Popping Off: The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Ep 2
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: I'm Teddy Mellencamp and this is Emily Simpson and you're
- 0:05Speaker 1: listening to popping off.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 0:09Speaker 3: I know we were only supposed to watch, you know,
- 0:11Speaker 3: one episode at a time, but couldn't couldn't.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Can't stop, won't stop, had to watch all eight.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Yeah, but I had. I watched them all binge right through.
- 0:19Speaker 1: It couldn't stop. So but you know, let me just
- 0:22Speaker 1: say this at first, and let me ask your opinion
- 0:24Speaker 1: on this. Do you feel as if maybe the premise
- 0:28Speaker 1: of the show was a little bit of a bait
- 0:30Speaker 1: and switch, because ultimately it's not really about the swinging part,
- 0:35Speaker 1: but I feel like that was the advertised to get
- 0:38Speaker 1: people to drop people in.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Well, I think that's I mean, I think the main
- 0:43Speaker 3: point of why this show is working. And I'm I
- 0:47Speaker 3: saw this somewhere on the world wide Web, so I'm
- 0:50Speaker 3: not fully coming up with this opinion on my own,
- 0:54Speaker 3: but I so just giving credit to where credits do.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I read it, And I was like, oh my gosh,
- 0:58Speaker 3: this resonated with me. Is when you go to think
- 1:02Speaker 3: about any other reality television show, Yes, it's people maybe
- 1:06Speaker 3: put together for certain reasons, or people knowing each other,
- 1:10Speaker 3: in advance and then they're bringing on friends or whatever.
- 1:13Speaker 3: But this is a group of women who joined something
- 1:17Speaker 3: mom Talk solely because of how many followers they all
- 1:22Speaker 3: had to continue to create clout, So none of them
- 1:27Speaker 3: actually really give two shits about the other people. They
- 1:31Speaker 3: just care about building themselves up, so nobody really cares
- 1:36Speaker 3: about Uh.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Please, please God make me the biggest star. Yeah, I
- 1:41Speaker 1: mean wait, I think before every time we do a podcast,
- 1:43Speaker 1: I feel like maybe we should do that. Please God,
- 1:45Speaker 1: make us the biggest podcast ever.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Please God make sure that this is.
- 1:51Speaker 3: You put it into the doctrine that we have the
- 1:54Speaker 3: following things.
- 1:55Speaker 2: But I yes, do.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I think we thought we were going to get more
- 1:59Speaker 3: on the swinging a million percent. But I think the
- 2:02Speaker 3: problem is is that the original women that were involved
- 2:07Speaker 3: allegedly in the swinging are not on this show. Like
- 2:10Speaker 3: when you even go to Jennifer afflex posts and you
- 2:15Speaker 3: see like them auditioning her to be the next girl
- 2:18Speaker 3: on mon Talk, it's because the original parties are no
- 2:22Speaker 3: longer there.
- 2:23Speaker 2: They're divorced.
- 2:24Speaker 3: They're the only like I mean, yes, we see sometimes
- 2:28Speaker 3: Demi or Whitney or even Layla and Macy in the
- 2:33Speaker 3: original mom Talk.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Videos, but Taylor is really the OG. She's the OG
- 2:41Speaker 2: of the SLC.
- 2:43Speaker 1: The OG of the SLC. That's good, But do you
- 2:46Speaker 1: think I just feel like like Hulu maybe just did
- 2:49Speaker 1: a little bit of a bait and switch. I'm not
- 2:50Speaker 1: saying that the show didn't live up to expectations, because
- 2:53Speaker 1: clearly we loved it, We binged it, we watched all
- 2:56Speaker 1: eight episodes at once. I just think maybe there was
- 2:58Speaker 1: a little bit of a bait and switch where people
- 3:00Speaker 1: were tuning in thinking they're going to get one thing
- 3:02Speaker 1: and then they just got something totally different. Like I
- 3:04Speaker 1: think the swinging scandal is what gets people to click
- 3:08Speaker 1: on it and watch. But they stay because it's.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Good, because they stay because it's good.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And I think, as you know, clearly it's number one
- 3:15Speaker 3: show on Hulu, so I feel like it's definitely, as
- 3:18Speaker 3: you pointed out, going to get picked up again. So
- 3:22Speaker 3: I think we will start to delve more into their
- 3:25Speaker 3: personal relationships, and you know, without giving things away, if
- 3:28Speaker 3: you haven't mentioned the entire season, and since we're solely
- 3:30Speaker 3: talking about episode two, you know, we're not gonna, you know,
- 3:37Speaker 3: throw away that some of the conversations that were had
- 3:40Speaker 3: at the end of the season, but we start digging
- 3:42Speaker 3: into their personal relationships and their marriages and their life
- 3:47Speaker 3: as the season progresses. So I wouldn't be surprised if
- 3:49Speaker 3: they pick up filming soon and just keep it going.
- 3:53Speaker 3: But before we even get into episode two, I want
- 3:56Speaker 3: to kind of give everybody an idea of what we're
- 4:00Speaker 3: working with on each one of the ladies social media followings. Okay,
- 4:05Speaker 3: So we've got Taylor, who you know, the og who
- 4:10Speaker 3: was the original one that outed the swinging scandal on TikTok.
- 4:15Speaker 3: She has four point two million followers on Instagram. She
- 4:20Speaker 3: has four hundred and sixty four thousand followers. Uh. Then
- 4:25Speaker 3: we've got Mikayla, who we already had on the pod
- 4:28Speaker 3: and I wish we had been able to watch watch
- 4:31Speaker 3: I know.
- 4:31Speaker 1: That was I was thinking that too. I had so
- 4:33Speaker 1: much like, damn, why couldn't we have watched all eight
- 4:37Speaker 1: episodes and then interviewed her because we just, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 1: we interviewed her before we knew we didn't Yeah, exactly
- 4:42Speaker 1: don't know what you don't know. So Michayla, please come back.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Lots of questions, Mikayla, please come back.
- 4:48Speaker 3: But I was shocked to find out that Mikayla is
- 4:50Speaker 3: the second most on TikTok. She's two point five million
- 4:55Speaker 3: on Instagram, She's two hundred and eighty two thousand and
- 4:58Speaker 3: Something that we never really see on this show, which
- 5:00Speaker 3: is something she gets a lot of traction for on
- 5:03Speaker 3: her TikTok, is that she has chronic She has a
- 5:07Speaker 3: chronic condition with ezema that she really struggles with and
- 5:13Speaker 3: she's been unable to she was unable to leave her
- 5:17Speaker 3: house for a certain amount of times, like you see
- 5:19Speaker 3: her flare ups.
- 5:20Speaker 2: We don't see any of that on the show.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Well, but well, she talks about it a little bit.
- 5:26Speaker 1: There is like a reference. There was a reference to it.
- 5:28Speaker 1: And I do notice that there's a lot of times
- 5:30Speaker 1: when she doesn't have any makeup on. You know, the
- 5:33Speaker 1: other girls are all glammed out and she doesn't have
- 5:35Speaker 1: any makeup. But clearly it's because she's having a flare up,
- 5:37Speaker 1: and I think it's probably she doesn't want to put
- 5:39Speaker 1: any makeup on. But I give her, I give her
- 5:41Speaker 1: a lot of props, a lot of credit for just filming,
- 5:44Speaker 1: you know, with a exema flare up and no makeup on.
- 5:47Speaker 1: A lot of housewives wouldn't do that.
- 5:49Speaker 3: No, then we have macy uh TikTok one point four
- 5:54Speaker 3: million Instagram one hundred and eighty thousand. She, I guess,
- 5:57Speaker 3: for lack of a better words, is kind of the
- 6:00Speaker 3: voice of reason of this group.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I guess she's the bridge.
- 6:03Speaker 3: She's the bridge. Yeah, that's a better way to put it.
- 6:05Speaker 3: She's the bridge. The storyline we never hear about from
- 6:10Speaker 3: her on this season that I learned through TikTok, which
- 6:14Speaker 3: I would have appreciated knowing while I was watching the show,
- 6:17Speaker 3: was that her first baby daddy, the one that she
- 6:21Speaker 3: got pregnant with when she was at BYU, and her
- 6:26Speaker 3: like year of being you know, I forget the word,
- 6:29Speaker 3: but like excommunicated from the church or whatever it was.
- 6:33Speaker 3: He died, Yeah, texting her in a car accident. I
- 6:42Speaker 3: can't believe there there's no mention of that on the show.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I mean, there's so much more shit that we could
- 6:48Speaker 3: have dug they could have dug into.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I was honestly flattery acid if if that's the correct word.
- 6:55Speaker 1: That it did not come up on the show because
- 6:58Speaker 1: I didn't learn about until I saw a TikTok she made.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Did you send me that TikTok? Somebody sent me away.
- 7:03Speaker 3: We've been sending Emily and I have a full time
- 7:06Speaker 3: job of sending each other tiktoks.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, here's the more, here's the more.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Oh shit, but I forgot going back to Mikaela.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Something else that's clearly not talked about throughout the season
- 7:16Speaker 3: is that she, yes, she got pregnant at sixteen, but
- 7:19Speaker 3: her husband he was at twenty two, I believe, So
- 7:26Speaker 3: that is another situation they don't really delve into on
- 7:30Speaker 3: the show.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Then we've got Whitney.
- 7:33Speaker 3: She has two million followers on TikTok. Instagram, she has
- 7:38Speaker 3: two hundred and seventy four thousand. I've seen a lot
- 7:41Speaker 3: of I mean, she's considered the villain of the season.
- 7:46Speaker 3: A lot of what she does is kind of absurd
- 7:49Speaker 3: to me, and even watching her tiktoks, but a big
- 7:52Speaker 3: portion of what I guess online is saying. But what
- 7:56Speaker 3: we haven't heard is that her husband, yes, he had
- 7:59Speaker 3: a porn addiction allegedly, but he dealt with all of
- 8:03Speaker 3: these issues growing up, and a big part of her
- 8:09Speaker 3: discussions have been about why she felt the need to
- 8:13Speaker 3: stay with him to support him through his childhood abuse.
- 8:18Speaker 3: So there's that. So We've got Whitney, then we have Jesse.
- 8:23Speaker 3: She has on TikTok not that great compared to the others.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Two hundred and sixty one thousand on TikTok Instagram, one
- 8:30Speaker 3: hundred and ninety three thousand. She's been in the Tiktoks
- 8:33Speaker 3: for a while, but I'm kind of wondering if they
- 8:35Speaker 3: brought her in solely because they wanted her to do
- 8:38Speaker 3: her extensions.
- 8:42Speaker 1: They were like, eh, I mean, she doesn't have that
- 8:44Speaker 1: big of a following, but she does do extensions, so God,
- 8:48Speaker 1: she does do extensions.
- 8:50Speaker 3: We know that she is divorced, she's married again. They're
- 8:56Speaker 3: the probably the least Mormon of the group at this point,
- 9:00Speaker 3: and there's allegations of why she got a divorce that
- 9:05Speaker 3: does actually play it on the show.
- 9:06Speaker 1: But that's all I really know about her. But then
- 9:10Speaker 1: we get to me, to me, to me, who by
- 9:14Speaker 1: the way, to me, I like, okay, let me just
- 9:16Speaker 1: say this. I'm just gonna say this, and it might
- 9:18Speaker 1: be an unpopular opinion. Taylor does not give me main
- 9:22Speaker 1: character energy to me, does Taylor? I think we have
- 9:27Speaker 1: to remember is pregnant. That is true. I'm going to
- 9:30Speaker 1: give her a pass because she's pregnant and I and
- 9:34Speaker 1: I'm sure she was dealing with that and she wasn't
- 9:36Speaker 1: feeling great. But to me, de Me was main character energy,
- 9:41Speaker 1: Like she was like like I felt like she was
- 9:44Speaker 1: more of what everybody is always fighting for, Queen Bee
- 9:48Speaker 1: of this group.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean she was so excited when they said
- 9:52Speaker 3: that maybe she should take over the Queen Bee.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I think Taylor's gonna.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Come and I mean, I we'll get into that in
- 9:58Speaker 3: a second, but hold on four hundred and fifty thousand
- 10:02Speaker 3: point six on TikTok Instagram's one hundred and seventy five thousand.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Her backstory that we didn't get to hear about was
- 10:09Speaker 3: the man that she is married to. Not only did
- 10:15Speaker 3: that affair happen, her husband was married to Angie Harrington.
- 10:20Speaker 3: So Angie Harrington is the girl who was a friend
- 10:23Speaker 3: of on Salt Lake City who to me kind of
- 10:25Speaker 3: looks like Sarah Paulson.
- 10:27Speaker 1: That yeah, well one season, right, one season she was
- 10:30Speaker 1: a one season friend.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Yeah, she was a redhead. I think she came in
- 10:35Speaker 3: as Heather Gay's friend and then they had a falling out.
- 10:39Speaker 3: She had a new husband that was and like created
- 10:42Speaker 3: fake instagrams and shit like that.
- 10:44Speaker 2: But the other part.
- 10:46Speaker 3: That I didn't know, who knows if this is really true,
- 10:49Speaker 3: but I saw it on the on the talk on
- 10:51Speaker 3: the TikTok was that she met her husband to me,
- 10:57Speaker 3: met her husband when she was ten years old.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Okay, but what does that mean? I mean, what they
- 11:03Speaker 1: met at a birthday party or something. Probably they met
- 11:06Speaker 1: at the church at a church party. But they could
- 11:09Speaker 1: have met like innocently. It's not like he was trying
- 11:11Speaker 1: to date her when she was ten.
- 11:13Speaker 3: No, but still that is like bananas when you really
- 11:17Speaker 3: think about it, like, oh, we met when I was
- 11:20Speaker 3: ten and then.
- 11:21Speaker 1: And he was forty.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean even when they showed their kids ages,
- 11:27Speaker 3: you know. But they seem like a happy couple. They
- 11:30Speaker 3: seem really into each other. But I mean, what she
- 11:33Speaker 3: was ten and he was I think.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Wait, is he the husband that they were speculating that
- 11:36Speaker 1: he has a two pay because it's always in a
- 11:38Speaker 1: different place.
- 11:39Speaker 3: The husband Whitney's husband, Oh, Whitney's husband. Oh yeah, no,
- 11:44Speaker 3: he's considered like the hot husband.
- 11:45Speaker 1: He is a hot husband. I think he used to
- 11:48Speaker 1: be a quarterback or something, right the NFL. Yeah, he
- 11:52Speaker 1: played in the NFL. Unclear unclear. No, I'm pretty sure
- 11:56Speaker 1: about that.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Oh well, I love it. Then we have Jennifer Hole,
- 12:01Speaker 3: who you know. I love that she's the only person
- 12:05Speaker 3: that gets a last name with her age next to
- 12:08Speaker 3: it every time they show it.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Every time, it's like Jen Affleck and Jesse Yeah.
- 12:13Speaker 2: And Malayla and blah blah blah.
- 12:15Speaker 3: But then come to find out, not only do I
- 12:19Speaker 3: despise Jen Affleck's husband, but Jen Affleck's husband who is
- 12:23Speaker 3: the actual distant relative of Ben Affleck.
- 12:27Speaker 2: They've never met Ben Affleck.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I'm sure they haven't. They're like second cousins twice removed,
- 12:32Speaker 1: and they in Utah, and they're devout Mormons. I doubt
- 12:36Speaker 1: that they're hanging out in the same circle. But then Jen.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Also shared on her TikTok that she was named after
- 12:45Speaker 3: Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Lopez's name, I guess is Jennifer Lynn,
- 12:49Speaker 3: and so is this Jen. Her name is Jennifer Lynn.
- 12:52Speaker 3: So she is proud to say on her TikTok that
- 12:55Speaker 3: she is now the only Jennifer Lynn af f flack.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Then we've got Layla. She's at one hundred and fifteen
- 13:06Speaker 3: thousand on TikTok.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Layela Laila, come on, get with the program. I'm surprised
- 13:10Speaker 1: they even let you around.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Layelah and then Instagram fifty four point five thousand. I
- 13:18Speaker 3: know the least amount about her, mainly because.
- 13:20Speaker 1: She didn't talk for the first seven episodes.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Because we haven't really gotten much of her.
- 13:27Speaker 3: But she is part of mom talk from the beginning,
- 13:31Speaker 3: like she I see her pregnant, I see it. So
- 13:34Speaker 3: she's she's been a part of this. But she's also
- 13:36Speaker 3: the youngest. But they all seem to pretty much like her.
- 13:39Speaker 3: But she's never had an orgasm. I mean, things have
- 13:43Speaker 3: been things have been a little rough for Layla, but
- 13:46Speaker 3: she's single now and ready to mingle. Yeah, do you
- 13:51Speaker 3: want to do you want to break down the husbands
- 13:52Speaker 3: before we get into this episode two, let's.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Break down the husband's all right, Dakota is a boyfriend,
- 13:59Speaker 1: not a husband of Ta. They have one child together,
- 14:02Speaker 1: ever true, as we see her pregnant on this season.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Dakota is a real estate agent and owns a tiling
- 14:08Speaker 1: company called Basin Tiling.
- 14:11Speaker 3: He also is allegedly a recovered addict, which I think
- 14:15Speaker 3: they said from ventanal.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's what it was. Yeah, that's why
- 14:20Speaker 1: he has such a problem with her drinking. I guess
- 14:23Speaker 1: was that the rationale.
- 14:25Speaker 3: I have to also say sometimes his eyes concerned me.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I'm not like.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Saying you mean like they were a little little It's
- 14:34Speaker 3: this is a very toxic relationship. Very I am not
- 14:38Speaker 3: a doctor, but this relationship does not seem great. He
- 14:44Speaker 3: really wants to marry her. She does not want to.
- 14:48Speaker 3: At least she has learned a lot. Here's the thing
- 14:51Speaker 3: gotta say it. If I was going to pick a
- 14:54Speaker 3: friend from I mean, looking at her past, I never
- 14:58Speaker 3: would have thought Taylor would want to be one of
- 14:59Speaker 3: the people that had been like, that's the girl I
- 15:01Speaker 3: want to be friends with.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Yeah, she's kind of one of my favorites. Okay, So
- 15:06Speaker 1: you mean, out of the cast, if you had to
- 15:07Speaker 1: hang out with one of them, you would pick Taylor.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I think Taylor and Demi. I would hang out with
- 15:13Speaker 1: Whitney because she's diabolical. Oh, like, I find her mind intriguing.
- 15:23Speaker 1: She's diabolical.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Well, now can you get into Connor please and explain.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yep. Connor is the husband to Whitney. Whitney and Connor
- 15:31Speaker 1: share two children together, Sedona and Liam, and she is
- 15:34Speaker 1: expecting her third child, Connor, works for Meta, which owns
- 15:37Speaker 1: and operates Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, et cetera, which is right there.
- 15:41Speaker 1: They were actually building the building when I left Utah.
- 15:45Speaker 3: So he looks different in every episode. Just it's like
- 15:50Speaker 3: so like I feel like when they first walked into
- 15:52Speaker 3: the house, when they move back from why didn't he
- 15:53Speaker 3: have bleach blonde hair and it was long or something?
- 15:56Speaker 3: And then the next scene it wasn't long, and then
- 15:59Speaker 3: the next scene it wasn't blonde, And then and then
- 16:02Speaker 3: the next scene he didn't have a mustache, and then
- 16:05Speaker 3: the next one he did.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Like he's in the witness protection program.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Like he is ever changing.
- 16:10Speaker 3: And listen, I know this is a touchy subject, especially
- 16:15Speaker 3: because you know your best friend gets a lot of
- 16:18Speaker 3: heat for this.
- 16:19Speaker 2: But Whitney's outfit choices a lot.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Are we talking about Gina?
- 16:23Speaker 4: Yeah, Like, okay, I I have Gina has way better style.
- 16:27Speaker 1: This Whitney has no style. She just finds saying that
- 16:31Speaker 1: Gina has no style. I'm just saying, finds a frock.
- 16:34Speaker 4: A peasant frock, and puts it on and like and
- 16:39Speaker 4: super glues lace onto it or something.
- 16:42Speaker 3: He's giving like amish, Like once she said she wanted
- 16:46Speaker 3: to move it to the farm. Later episodes, I was like,
- 16:50Speaker 3: oh my gosh, okay. But their other backstory is that
- 16:54Speaker 3: he was on tender.
- 16:56Speaker 2: That's why they moved to Hawaii.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Apparently when things get rough with he makes these dramatic changes.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But then apparently she came back.
- 17:04Speaker 3: But she throughout this season, you see she thinks that
- 17:09Speaker 3: mom Talk will not actually be able to succeed without her.
- 17:13Speaker 3: And I'm not talking about the show. I'm talking about
- 17:16Speaker 3: the TikTok. But one thing Emily and I are both
- 17:19Speaker 3: very proud of.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Is what you're gonna say.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Yeah, we both turned down that dil do. We did
- 17:28Speaker 3: post and Whitney did not.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sorry, I just there there is just no
- 17:34Speaker 1: amount of money that I would do that. Shane even
- 17:37Speaker 1: asked me because he was watching that scene. He came
- 17:39Speaker 1: into the bedroom when I was watching it, and he goes,
- 17:41Speaker 1: is there any amount of money that you would do
- 17:43Speaker 1: that for? And I was like it would have to
- 17:45Speaker 1: be millions, Like there's this, I there's this. I can't
- 17:48Speaker 1: do that.
- 17:49Speaker 3: But also I want to check now that I've seen
- 17:52Speaker 3: all of their following numbers, like when they say twenty
- 17:56Speaker 3: thousand I'm wondering if they mean for multi old post
- 18:01Speaker 3: or like that's a one post TikTok that much more profitable,
- 18:06Speaker 3: profitable than Instagram.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I don't know because I don't have a TikTok. And
- 18:10Speaker 1: now I'm thinking, should I should I get my friends
- 18:14Speaker 1: together and make an old mom talk.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Let's let's get a Graham talk going?
- 18:20Speaker 1: Should I get like a golden golden talk started?
- 18:24Speaker 3: My gosh, Then we've got Zach Affleck. He's the husband
- 18:28Speaker 3: of jen They have two children, a daughter Nora a
- 18:31Speaker 3: son Lucas. In July, Jennifer announced on Instagram that Zach
- 18:35Speaker 3: was accepted into medical school. She is the breadwinner and
- 18:39Speaker 3: she is going to be paying for his med school
- 18:43Speaker 3: because he has gambled away the money allegedly that his
- 18:47Speaker 3: parents gave him for med school when his parents were
- 18:50Speaker 3: already doctors. Please, for the love of God, do not
- 18:53Speaker 3: let me go to this man as my physician.
- 18:56Speaker 1: And ten years from now when he has his license.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Next husband is Brett. He's a second husband to Demi.
- 19:10Speaker 1: He is forty six, she is twenty nine. They each
- 19:13Speaker 1: have children from previous relationships. Brett is currently a managing
- 19:16Speaker 1: partner at Armstrong consulting group. He was previously a quarterback
- 19:20Speaker 1: for the Oakland Raiders from three to five. I wonder
- 19:24Speaker 1: if that.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Means he was actually at the playing quarterback or he
- 19:28Speaker 3: was like the second string quarterback.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I mean, not that it really matters, but it does,
- 19:34Speaker 1: I mean it does. Yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Then we've got Jordan, who is married to Jesse. Second
- 19:40Speaker 3: husband to Jesse. They share a blended family of three kids.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Jordan is a solar manager at Rise Energy.
- 19:50Speaker 1: That's I mean. I don't have a ton to say
- 19:52Speaker 1: about them, which is not great. Now. Not a lot
- 19:54Speaker 1: to say about Jacob either. I think I only saw
- 19:56Speaker 1: him pop up briefly. He's a second husband to Macy Neelye. Mason.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Met Jacob while she was raising her son Hudson as
- 20:03Speaker 1: a single parent following the death of his father Eric.
- 20:06Speaker 1: They were married in twenty eighteen and share a daughter, Harlowe.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Jacob is a sales and finance consultant at AO two
- 20:12Speaker 1: Management in Utah.
- 20:14Speaker 3: And then we've got Jace, who's the husband to Mikayla Matthews.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Michala met Jace when she was sixteen. They have three
- 20:21Speaker 3: children together, Beckham, Haven and Tommy. Jace was employed as
- 20:26Speaker 3: a project manager at Waffle, Loove and Jah. However, michaela
- 20:30Speaker 3: revealed that he was fired due to this show's release.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I love that he's fired because of the show, but
- 20:36Speaker 3: not because he was twenty one when he got his
- 20:39Speaker 3: sixteen year old girlfriend pregnant.
- 20:41Speaker 1: No, that's fine, that's fine, that's acceptable.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Then Laylah Taylor, twenty three divorce shares two sons of
- 20:49Speaker 3: their ex husband. Taylor told Today that she and her
- 20:52Speaker 3: ex husband agreed that their sons would not appre appear
- 20:55Speaker 3: on screen in season one of the show.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Okay, can I say, can you imagine being twenty three
- 21:01Speaker 1: divorced and with two kids? What were you doing at
- 21:04Speaker 1: twenty three? I mean I was like just out of college,
- 21:09Speaker 1: still dumb, and.
- 21:11Speaker 3: I mean I think I was potentially at twenty four
- 21:14Speaker 3: getting my first divorce but no kids.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Like, can you imagine? Can you imagine to have been
- 21:21Speaker 1: getting divorced at that age and have two children? Yeah?
- 21:24Speaker 3: Because also in my first divorce, we had nothing Like
- 21:28Speaker 3: I had my neighbor do the divorce for me because
- 21:31Speaker 3: she like went to like one year of law school
- 21:33Speaker 3: and she was able to figure it out.
- 21:35Speaker 1: My first divorce I did myself because we had no
- 21:38Speaker 1: kids and no ascess. It was so easy.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, I think the only thing that we had
- 21:42Speaker 3: to separate was like some of our wedding gifts because
- 21:46Speaker 3: we made it over a year of being married. Yeah,
- 21:49Speaker 3: so then you don't have to return them. But there
- 21:51Speaker 3: was like our china.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Yeah, like I think it gets it.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I was like, you can have the mugs, I'll take
- 21:57Speaker 2: the plates.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Like, but that's why Shane and I don't get divorced now,
- 22:01Speaker 1: because it's just way too complicated. It's a lot of things.
- 22:04Speaker 1: It would be a lot, so we're just like that's
- 22:06Speaker 1: just too much.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Well, now we're on to episode two. It's eleven months
- 22:11Speaker 3: after Taylor's arrest. Taylor calls it the worst night of
- 22:14Speaker 3: her life. She was charged with aggravated assault and given
- 22:18Speaker 3: three years of probation, plus she is pregnant again after
- 22:22Speaker 3: being arrested. She and Dakota never actually broke up. They
- 22:26Speaker 3: both wanted this baby, even though she acknowledges it's not
- 22:29Speaker 3: the smartest decision.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Do you think?
- 22:32Speaker 3: So?
- 22:32Speaker 2: I have a question about LDS. Are you allowed to
- 22:35Speaker 2: be on birth control?
- 22:37Speaker 1: Yeah? You are? I think you're wrong. No, I don't
- 22:42Speaker 1: think so, can you?
- 22:44Speaker 5: No?
- 22:44Speaker 1: I think it's isn't it. Yeah, I don't think you
- 22:47Speaker 1: can be on Shane.
- 22:49Speaker 3: I really don't think you can be on birth. I'm
- 22:51Speaker 3: gonna text him, text him and get back to me
- 22:53Speaker 3: on that. But like Taylor, clearly we're watching because of
- 22:58Speaker 3: you and you're not so smart decisions. But like, keep
- 23:02Speaker 3: on keeping on because it's we're enjoying it.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Google says, Okay.
- 23:07Speaker 1: But let me ask you a question. Don't you find
- 23:09Speaker 1: it irresponsible that she got pregnant once, had a miscarriage,
- 23:13Speaker 1: but then got pregnant again even though she knows the
- 23:15Speaker 1: relationship isn't great, she doesn't want to marry him, and
- 23:18Speaker 1: she knows it's not a smart decision.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Well, I think what we're seeing here is clearly and
- 23:25Speaker 3: you know now I've gone back years and watched all
- 23:28Speaker 3: of her tiktoks with Tate, her first husband, and after
- 23:34Speaker 3: watching her relationship with her mother, I think she like
- 23:39Speaker 3: wants love, but there's so much guilt and anxiety and
- 23:45Speaker 3: all of these things surrounding the things that she's done
- 23:48Speaker 3: and how she feels about herself that in the moments
- 23:51Speaker 3: and oftentimes when you're in a very toxic relationship, the
- 23:57Speaker 3: good is so good, you think, oh, this is going
- 23:59Speaker 3: to be great, right, and then the bad is so bad.
- 24:02Speaker 3: It's like, there's no way you can imagine going another day.
- 24:06Speaker 1: That you're saying she got pregnant during one of those
- 24:08Speaker 1: good is good Yeah.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Yeah, one of the highs. Then Macey, Michaela, and Whitney
- 24:15Speaker 3: are together at a coffee slash tea shop. Whitney was
- 24:18Speaker 3: shocked to hear about Taylor's pregnancy, and Macy says Taylor
- 24:22Speaker 3: thinks with her vagina. They were all invited to Taylor's
- 24:26Speaker 3: baby shower, but Whitney wants to get back to what
- 24:30Speaker 3: mom talk was like before the scandal and arrests happened. Apparently,
- 24:34Speaker 3: brand deals have gone down since Taylor's arrest, and Macy
- 24:37Speaker 3: suggests that someone has to step up to keep the
- 24:40Speaker 3: group going.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Okay, I have a question when she talks about brand deals,
- 24:44Speaker 1: does that mean brand deals individually or do you think
- 24:47Speaker 1: they get group brand deals because they make so much
- 24:49Speaker 1: content together. Do they ever do brand deals as a group?
- 24:55Speaker 1: I'm assuming they must.
- 24:57Speaker 3: I mean at least those jumps, those sweatsuits that they
- 25:00Speaker 3: all wear, because they have them in like every color
- 25:02Speaker 3: with their names on them. Yeah, while they're doing these dances.
- 25:06Speaker 3: It also like, as he launched these videos, I can't
- 25:10Speaker 3: even imagine if I was on mom Talk because I'd
- 25:13Speaker 3: be one of the bad dancer ones.
- 25:15Speaker 1: It would be in the back.
- 25:16Speaker 3: I would be like the Macy that's like in charge
- 25:18Speaker 3: of like just doing the heart like while the other
- 25:21Speaker 3: ones can like do all the moves and I'm like,
- 25:24Speaker 3: oh shit, but like some of them are quite good
- 25:26Speaker 3: at it. But Whitney's saying she wants it to be
- 25:29Speaker 3: back to the original mom Talk. I'm like, what was
- 25:32Speaker 3: the original mom Talk like before the scandal?
- 25:36Speaker 1: I don't know. Do they just they just made content together, right,
- 25:39Speaker 1: like fun?
- 25:40Speaker 3: It's supposedly women empowerment, but like at this point, we're
- 25:44Speaker 3: not seeing many women empowered other than empowered to pay
- 25:47Speaker 3: for their husbands.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't know if that's true though. When
- 25:51Speaker 1: they say they're all the they all raise their hands
- 25:53Speaker 1: when they said who's the breadwinner? So you're gonna tell
- 25:56Speaker 1: me that Brett, the guy that's like a consultant or whatever,
- 25:59Speaker 1: Like she's making more money than he does.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Probably, and I mean Brett's forty six, right, So that's
- 26:08Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 26:08Speaker 1: You've had a long time to get your act together.
- 26:12Speaker 5: But also, like Whitney, if this group didn't exist and
- 26:16Speaker 5: you want to get it back, then that would mean
- 26:19Speaker 5: no television show for you to bug us on, and
- 26:21Speaker 5: I would be so sad without that.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Then we see Taylor with her mom, Leanne. They're going
- 26:30Speaker 3: shopping for baby necessities. Leanne has a hard time talking
- 26:33Speaker 3: to her daughter about her probation, saying Taylor's aged her
- 26:38Speaker 3: ten years. Did Coda's bring up the idea of marriage frequently?
- 26:42Speaker 3: Taylor's not sure if she's ready for it. She doesn't
- 26:45Speaker 3: want to get hurt again, and in her confessional she
- 26:47Speaker 3: breaks down, saying she doesn't feel like she deserves the
- 26:50Speaker 3: happy ending that Dakota is trying to give her. I'm
- 26:54Speaker 3: sorry to tell you this, Taylor. He's not going to
- 26:57Speaker 3: give you a happy ending.
- 26:58Speaker 1: No, he doesn't have it, and I'm toxic tailor.
- 27:03Speaker 3: But also I feel like Taylor's saying, Mom, don't buy
- 27:06Speaker 3: me anything, because most likely I'm going to get it
- 27:09Speaker 3: all for free to promote on the tiktoks. So we
- 27:13Speaker 3: don't need to be buying this. We're going to promote
- 27:16Speaker 3: it on the top. So we'll talk. Let's not spend
- 27:19Speaker 3: the forty four dollars on the baby trash can.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Let me tell you my toxic trait is when I
- 27:24Speaker 1: watch this show, I think I'm the same age as
- 27:27Speaker 1: these women, and then I realize that I'm probably older
- 27:31Speaker 1: than Leanne.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I'm sure we're older than Leanne.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Don't you watch it if you think like I feel
- 27:38Speaker 4: like I could just fit right into this group.
- 27:40Speaker 1: And then I'm like, no, I am older than Leanne.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Well, I did send you a text message, and I
- 27:47Speaker 3: just prefaced it just so you guys know. I'm really
- 27:50Speaker 3: pissed to you, Emily, And she's like why, And I said,
- 27:53Speaker 3: because you have the opportunity by being married to Shane
- 27:56Speaker 3: who is LDS, to be on this show. And Emily
- 27:59Speaker 3: is like, you know what, You're right, like I do,
- 28:02Speaker 3: and I feel like I dropped this opportunity.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Neither of us pointing out that nobody forty eight.
- 28:11Speaker 4: I forgot about that part that I'm old enough to
- 28:14Speaker 4: be everyone's mother.
- 28:18Speaker 3: In the In this community, you'd be on your sixteenth
- 28:21Speaker 3: marriage forty four kid exactly.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Okay, Wait, Shane texted me about birth control. Do you
- 28:27Speaker 1: want to hear it? Yeah? Oh? Also, I have zero
- 28:30Speaker 1: TikTok followers. Okay, I asked him, can you be on
- 28:36Speaker 1: birth control if you're LDS? Shane said yes, that's a
- 28:39Speaker 1: private matter for married couples to decide themselves. The only
- 28:42Speaker 1: guidelines I've ever read on the church counseling about family
- 28:45Speaker 1: and having children is couples should have as many children
- 28:48Speaker 1: as they can provide for financially, emotionally, and spiritually, but
- 28:51Speaker 1: that it is a decision for the couples to make
- 28:53Speaker 1: themselves and not others.
- 28:56Speaker 3: So I have a question for you, just why we're
- 28:59Speaker 3: in the talk of LDS. How does the church feel
- 29:04Speaker 3: about the fact that you are not LDS.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I don't know. I never asked him. Should I write
- 29:11Speaker 1: a letter?
- 29:15Speaker 3: Or is there ever a moment that Shane in your
- 29:17Speaker 3: marriage was like, come give this a try.
- 29:20Speaker 1: No, I will tell you. I'll give you a little background.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Before Shane and I got married, there were two deal breakers.
- 29:25Speaker 1: The one the first one was I'll marry you, but
- 29:27Speaker 1: do you expect me to convert to LDS? And he
- 29:30Speaker 1: said no. And the other one was do you want
- 29:32Speaker 1: to have more kids? Because I had no kid, I
- 29:34Speaker 1: had no children, And he said, yes, I want more kids.
- 29:36Speaker 1: So those were my two deal breakers. I've never been
- 29:39Speaker 1: pressured by Shane to convert. I go to church with
- 29:42Speaker 1: him occasionally sometimes I go a lot of times I don't.
- 29:46Speaker 1: But as far as the church, I do know when
- 29:49Speaker 1: we lived in Utah, the missionaries would always visit my
- 29:52Speaker 1: house because I was like the only non LDS person
- 29:55Speaker 1: probably in like one hundred mile radius, so they were
- 29:58Speaker 1: always at my house.
- 29:59Speaker 3: But do you think there's less pressure because Shane's parents.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Are not LDS.
- 30:03Speaker 3: I feel like a lot of what we're seeing as
- 30:05Speaker 3: these parties progress is that like these parents are putting
- 30:09Speaker 3: these pressure on these oh yeahs women like and because
- 30:13Speaker 3: he did that on his own.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I feel like there's a different there is. I would say,
- 30:18Speaker 1: like when people say to me like, oh, your a
- 30:20Speaker 1: husband's in a cult or something like that, I'm like you,
- 30:23Speaker 1: my life is so normal. There is nothing weird about
- 30:27Speaker 1: anything in our life. And you're right, his parents aren't LDS.
- 30:31Speaker 1: His mom, if she was religious, would be Muslim. She
- 30:36Speaker 1: would be Muslim if she practiced a religion. And you know,
- 30:40Speaker 1: his dad is more of just like he's like very Buddhists,
- 30:43Speaker 1: you know, he's very zen. So I do think that
- 30:47Speaker 1: the LDS factor within our relationship is very small it's
- 30:50Speaker 1: basically just Shane and the kids go every once in
- 30:53Speaker 1: a while, and I go occasionally, so it's not a
- 30:56Speaker 1: huge part of our lives.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Right The mom Taught girls minus Taylor are filming content
- 31:03Speaker 3: at Macy's house. In this content video, they all pretend
- 31:06Speaker 3: to pray, Please Lord, make me the biggest star the
- 31:10Speaker 3: world has ever known. Jen Is remind the girls that
- 31:13Speaker 3: they need to make videos so they can pay the bills.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Then they all talk about the weirdest brand deals. You know,
- 31:21Speaker 3: it's twenty thousand to promote sex toys, but the Mormon
- 31:24Speaker 3: religion is very conservative, so it's a risk. And then
- 31:27Speaker 3: Layla and Demi are all for it. Macy doesn't think
- 31:31Speaker 3: they're paying her enough. Meanwhile, Jin says she would never
- 31:34Speaker 3: promote a sex brand. Jen, You'd never be allowed. Let's
- 31:37Speaker 3: be clear.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't even step foot within, you know, anywhere
- 31:43Speaker 1: that has anything to do. Sorry, this is what happens
- 31:45Speaker 1: when I watch all eight episodes.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Well then, but by the way, speaking of Jin, can
- 31:49Speaker 3: you please fix that hair in the back of your
- 31:51Speaker 3: head right now that's sticking out?
- 31:53Speaker 2: Because did you notice?
- 31:54Speaker 3: Sorry? Jin, I was very confused because everybody is very
- 31:59Speaker 3: well quaffed this entire season, and unless Jin is doing
- 32:03Speaker 3: a TikTok video, we've got extension showing we've got we
- 32:08Speaker 3: barely got our hair washed. I'm like, she looks like
- 32:11Speaker 3: me on the freaking pod. I'm like, what is happening.
- 32:13Speaker 1: That's because she has to serve her husband at all times.
- 32:16Speaker 1: She doesn't have time, zero hair, just him sandwiches, and
- 32:22Speaker 1: I mean she's she's.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Just paying bills, taking care of the kids and Zach,
- 32:26Speaker 3: and she doesn't have time for a shower. But you
- 32:28Speaker 3: notice that every time they're filming, and there are people,
- 32:31Speaker 3: there are housewives that do this too, when like I'd
- 32:34Speaker 3: be on Beverly Hills and I would come and I'd
- 32:35Speaker 3: be looking a mess. That are always like constantly like
- 32:38Speaker 3: touching your hair, like fixing your or being like that.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Like she is the least of like the conscious of
- 32:46Speaker 3: exactly what her appearance is, I think, which is refreshing,
- 32:50Speaker 3: which is actually being a mom, which is who we
- 32:52Speaker 3: all are. But I love that they're all noticing it
- 32:54Speaker 3: the entire time. But I am calling bullshit on twenty
- 33:01Speaker 3: thousand dollars post on Insta when you have two hundred
- 33:06Speaker 3: and seventy four thousand followers.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Did you look at her Instagram and see did she
- 33:10Speaker 1: posts anything about sex toy? She she did. It's there,
- 33:13Speaker 1: it's there. So is.
- 33:16Speaker 3: One of her premiere dresses, the red with the cutouts
- 33:20Speaker 3: and the and on the swing with the h.
- 33:23Speaker 1: It was a lot. That was a lot.
- 33:25Speaker 3: That was one of my favorite outfits of the season.
- 33:29Speaker 3: And it wasn't even during it. Then Demi reminds the
- 33:31Speaker 3: girls that because there's such a lack of knowledge around sex,
- 33:35Speaker 3: a lot of women don't even have an orgasm. Laila
- 33:40Speaker 3: raises her hand immediately, saying she never has. She got
- 33:44Speaker 3: married at nineteen and was married for three years, so
- 33:46Speaker 3: she hasn't had time to discover herself. Laylah went to
- 33:49Speaker 3: high school that was heavily populated with Mormons, and she
- 33:52Speaker 3: was baptized at sixteen years old. And then everyone jokes
- 33:56Speaker 3: that Jen is a porn star for her husband. Macy
- 34:00Speaker 3: reminds her they've all seen the nudes.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Oh wait, Jen Jen Affleck. Yes, well maybe that's why
- 34:07Speaker 1: her hair is always a mess. Yeah, she's got I mean,
- 34:09Speaker 1: she doesn't have time. She's got to make him chicken
- 34:12Speaker 1: pie and sex with him.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Come and sending videos of herself.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Wait was the photo that she showed everybody and they
- 34:19Speaker 1: said that was like a frontal? Was that like a
- 34:21Speaker 1: vagina shot?
- 34:23Speaker 3: I'm assuming it must be naked photos. Then Demi was
- 34:27Speaker 3: inspired by Jen's nudes, so she decided to take nudes
- 34:30Speaker 3: for her husband as well. Then she proceeds to show
- 34:33Speaker 3: them to the entire crew.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Oh it was to me that had the photos that
- 34:37Speaker 1: they brought out and showed.
- 34:38Speaker 3: But also Demi's nude, this entire not nude, but she
- 34:40Speaker 3: has just her bra and ninety percent of like the episodes.
- 34:45Speaker 3: I know, I know she's like, oh, you guys are early,
- 34:49Speaker 3: but also I'm like, if you're going to show your
- 34:51Speaker 3: bra off, it shouldn't be a nude one all the time.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Like at least like getting stacy.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Yeah, like get some sexy bras, like those are my bras?
- 34:59Speaker 3: Like my when you're not going to see what I
- 35:01Speaker 3: have on underneath bras? Those aren't my pull my shirt
- 35:05Speaker 3: down every time to get miked bras. Then Taylor's parents,
- 35:11Speaker 3: Leanne and Jeremy are visiting our house and Taylor breaks
- 35:14Speaker 3: the news that.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Dakota is moving in.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Uh and the church teaches that you should not live
- 35:22Speaker 3: with a partner outside of marriage, so her parents are
- 35:24Speaker 3: not supportive of this decision, the parents being more upset
- 35:28Speaker 3: about this man moving in than being pregnant.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Yes, I know, they're like, it's fine if you want
- 35:36Speaker 1: to have children together, but you can't live together.
- 35:39Speaker 2: But do you think it's because they don't want one?
- 35:42Speaker 3: They already know that they've been arrested, that she's been
- 35:46Speaker 3: arrested two. They know that most likely she's going to
- 35:50Speaker 3: be paying for their life.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I mean, I we never.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Heard what Dakota does for a living until we got
- 35:57Speaker 3: on the pod today. But I am confused, Like, okay, baby, fine,
- 36:04Speaker 3: moving in? Absolutely not.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. It's not living together before marriage.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Did you live with Shane before marriage? No, because we
- 36:17Speaker 1: got married like immediately. We just went to the courthouse
- 36:20Speaker 1: and got married and then had a big wedding later.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Okay, I did live with Edwin before getting married, and
- 36:27Speaker 3: I do actually recommend living with your person before getting
- 36:31Speaker 3: married if you can.
- 36:32Speaker 1: I mean I think we did, like briefly. It was
- 36:34Speaker 1: very brief because we got married really quickly. But we
- 36:36Speaker 1: just got married really quickly for tax purposes. He's not sure.
- 36:43Speaker 1: He's like, if I could file married and joint. It
- 36:47Speaker 1: would really save on taxes, so let's.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Figure this shit out. Then Dakota shows up while Leanne
- 36:54Speaker 3: and Jeremy are there. He starts bringing in his boxes,
- 36:57Speaker 3: and of course the parents don't offer to help, but
- 36:59Speaker 3: they let their pregnant daughter carry them in. Dakota's boxes
- 37:03Speaker 3: are labeled things like Dakota's cool shit and here I come.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Jeremy definitely doesn't take it easy on him. He calls
- 37:10Speaker 3: out Dakota for knocking up his daughter and moving in before.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Mary's he's a stepdad though, right, that's not her real dad,
- 37:18Speaker 1: that's her stepdad. I don't know if Leanne is still
- 37:21Speaker 1: married from the get No, I think that's the stepdad.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Okay, Well, then Taylor and Dakota say that their values
- 37:30Speaker 3: and plans really align with one another, and I'm very
- 37:32Speaker 3: confused by this.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Was it values that threw you off? Yeah?
- 37:38Speaker 3: The values and then for example they both want to
- 37:41Speaker 3: marry someone LDS so they could go to church and
- 37:44Speaker 3: raise their family with those values. But to me, Dakota
- 37:49Speaker 3: moving in with one simple box is full of red flags.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Like it just makes me love this show. But like
- 37:57Speaker 3: he didn't even need he didn't even need a moving.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Vanni just had like his four boxes that he probably
- 38:02Speaker 3: brought from Jenna's house or whatever.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Yeah, He's like, I just need to get buy a
- 38:07Speaker 1: box of shit, of cool shit from your house and
- 38:09Speaker 1: move it over to Taylor's, which is.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Like his fortnight.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Yeah, his rooms cube.
- 38:17Speaker 2: A couple fenties. Yeah, include going, he's.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Got a hoodie, a pair of pants, a room excube,
- 38:23Speaker 4: and his PlayStations.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Then Macey and Taylor are shopping for Taylor's upcoming baby shower.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Taylor admits she's afraid to see all the girls again.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Macy gives her some reassurance, saying she wanted to reach
- 38:36Speaker 3: out to Taylor more than ever after the rest and
- 38:39Speaker 3: Macy's concerned that Dakota never takes accountability for his actions.
- 38:45Speaker 3: She witnessed Dakota called Taylor and effing slut. When her
- 38:48Speaker 3: ex husband showed up to an event where the girls
- 38:51Speaker 3: were at two weeks before Taylor got pregnant. She called Macy,
- 38:54Speaker 3: telling her she wanted out of the relationship.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Pretty much.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Macy just flat out tells Taylor that she does not
- 39:01Speaker 3: like Dakota.
- 39:02Speaker 1: You know what, neither do I.
- 39:04Speaker 3: And then, although a Taylor appreciates Macy's blutoness.
- 39:08Speaker 1: It's hard for her to hear and accept this.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Then Whitney at her mom's house with her younger sister Lexi.
- 39:23Speaker 3: They get into the vibrater conversation and then they get
- 39:26Speaker 3: into the sex talk where the mom kind of like
- 39:31Speaker 3: where she shares her first sexual experience as a horror movie.
- 39:37Speaker 3: I was like, well, it's because your husband doesn't want
- 39:40Speaker 3: to be having sex.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Exactly as to be the bearer of bad news. He
- 39:49Speaker 1: has a Jason mask on.
- 39:53Speaker 2: But they didn't have sex, said in high school. But
- 39:56Speaker 2: you know what, neither.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Did I no sex I did, I mean not that
- 40:02Speaker 3: I can remember.
- 40:03Speaker 1: I mean, if we did, it was like a one
- 40:04Speaker 1: off class.
- 40:05Speaker 3: But like I still knew that there was like supposed
- 40:09Speaker 3: to be pleasure at some point.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, when we lived in Utah, Shane's daughters
- 40:15Speaker 1: had there was an opportunity for sex ad at their school,
- 40:17Speaker 1: so I know they have it in the public schools
- 40:19Speaker 1: in Utah.
- 40:21Speaker 3: But you know, her mom says she feels guilty that
- 40:25Speaker 3: she didn't have those conversations. I don't know if she's guilty,
- 40:28Speaker 3: but she said, I wish I would have had more
- 40:29Speaker 3: of a conversation with you, And then it made me wonder, like, Whitney,
- 40:34Speaker 3: has your mom had an orgasm? She should ask maybe
- 40:38Speaker 3: if she used one of the vibrators from the gram.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Yes, she should give her mom a vibrator for Christmas.
- 40:44Speaker 3: But I also don't need to see Whitney's mom making
- 40:48Speaker 3: dry biscuits while Whitney's talking about promoting dil dos.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I don't.
- 40:54Speaker 3: I don't need to see all the baking during No, No, No,
- 40:58Speaker 3: did you?
- 40:59Speaker 1: I didn't even really notice that she was baking. I mean.
- 41:05Speaker 3: No, I don't know if it's baking or making. I've
- 41:07Speaker 3: never made a biscuit.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I've never well, I did because it's on the episode
- 41:12Speaker 1: of Orange John either I saw there's some biscuit making.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Then we see Taylor and Dakota on a date. He
- 41:21Speaker 3: asked if Macey was talking shit when she saw her,
- 41:23Speaker 3: and she was, like she always does. He's convinced she
- 41:26Speaker 3: doesn't like him and it's just being petty about it.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Taylor defends Macy, saying she's the only one she's really
- 41:32Speaker 3: confided in. At this point, I'm still stuck whatever this
- 41:36Speaker 3: Macy situation is. Macy, I think is just trying to
- 41:39Speaker 3: be a good friend to Taylor. Then Whitney and Layla.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Are in the salt cave. I've never heard of a
- 41:46Speaker 1: salt cave that was new to me.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Well with two children too, Yeah, I like how they
- 41:50Speaker 3: kept running around and like touching the alarms and stuff,
- 41:53Speaker 3: and Whitney was unaware. Whitney doesn't want to promote the
- 41:57Speaker 3: fake friendships are portraying online. But I'm like you already
- 42:01Speaker 3: that's actually what Mom Talk was, So.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Yes, and you want to and you want it to
- 42:05Speaker 1: be back to its original version, and you want to
- 42:07Speaker 1: be the queen Bee of it. So what are you
- 42:09Speaker 1: talking about? Yeah, it doesn't make sense.
- 42:11Speaker 3: And then Layla's confessional, she says this is typical Whitney.
- 42:14Speaker 3: She'll avoid someone she has tension with rather than talk
- 42:18Speaker 3: to them and solve it.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Whitney.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Layla thinks it's important that everyone in Mom Talks stays
- 42:24Speaker 3: strong and united. But I do want to point out
- 42:26Speaker 3: that a lot of the tiktoks they show us in
- 42:29Speaker 3: between scenes have Macy in the middle. Yeah, Macy is
- 42:33Speaker 3: in the middle a lot. Yeah, Macy's in the middle.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Then it's the day of the Taylor's baby shower. All
- 42:38Speaker 3: the girls from Mom Talk besides Whitney show up. They
- 42:41Speaker 3: seem really supportive of Taylor and would like to join
- 42:44Speaker 3: them and mom talk again. Macy's not a fan of Dakota.
- 42:48Speaker 3: We know Whitney didn't give Taylor a heads up that
- 42:51Speaker 3: she wasn't coming to the shower, and obviously Taylor noticed
- 42:54Speaker 3: she wasn't there.
- 42:55Speaker 1: You know who else noticed? Leanne just the best I know.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Wait, don't have my mom call you and you piss
- 43:07Speaker 2: me off about something.
- 43:08Speaker 1: I can't wait either. That will be fun, Hi, Emily,
- 43:12Speaker 1: it's please have your dad call.
- 43:16Speaker 3: But then Whitney tells her it's a conversation she needs
- 43:19Speaker 3: to have with Taylor, not her, which we doubt ever
- 43:22Speaker 3: really happened. Right, but Taylor's mom immediately calling Whitney tells
- 43:28Speaker 3: me everything I need to know about why Taylor is
- 43:31Speaker 3: the way she is and why we see the things
- 43:35Speaker 3: that we say.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Leanne know. Leanne needs to do something about those hair extensions, Leanne,
- 43:42Speaker 1: They're they're they're giving like Alexis Bellino. Extensions is what
- 43:46Speaker 1: it's doing. It's like me, your hair, your real hair
- 43:49Speaker 1: isn't that long, but then you get twenty four inch
- 43:52Speaker 1: like extensions.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Leanne is as bummed as us that she's not a
- 43:57Speaker 3: part of mom Talk.
- 43:59Speaker 1: She's trying, she's given her best.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, well we loved it. It was a
- 44:04Speaker 3: little piece of heaven. Thank you so much mom Talk
- 44:08Speaker 3: for all of this enjoyment. Keep tuning in to Popping
- 44:11Speaker 3: Off or we will give you, guys, all of our
- 44:13Speaker 3: hot takes on all of these episodes and please watch.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Thanks guys for listening.
