- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to KFI AM six forty the Bill Handles
- 0:04Speaker 1: show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. Here's my question, Amy,
- 0:16Speaker 1: you may know it the amount of money that's being spent,
- 0:18Speaker 1: how much was asked for and how much was cut overall?
- 0:21Speaker 1: Because the story doesn't tell us because this could be
- 0:24Speaker 1: virtually all the money asked for, or it could be
- 0:26Speaker 1: a fraction of what was asked for in normally California
- 0:31Speaker 1: would get I do not have that information, okay, hand Yeah,
- 0:35Speaker 1: I didn't either, So I went to use to embarrass you.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Oh you were by the way, I knew you didn't know.
- 0:40Speaker 1: That's why I asked.
- 0:43Speaker 3: And now handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:47Speaker 3: Bill Handle.
- 0:50Speaker 1: And good morning. It's a foody Friday. Ask handle anything. Friday,
- 0:56Speaker 1: March twentieth, Oh, a quick one. And by the way,
- 1:01Speaker 1: today is my anniversary one year married to Lindsay. And
- 1:07Speaker 1: these are the days. Usually on anniversaries is when I
- 1:11Speaker 1: am particularly gay rights. As you know, I've been you know,
- 1:14Speaker 1: gay rights since well forever, you know, in my surrogacy practice.
- 1:22Speaker 1: My first kid that I had for a gay couple
- 1:24Speaker 1: is now forty five years old. That's how long I've
- 1:27Speaker 1: been helping gay people have children? Wow, I'll tell you.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'm telling why I am so much in favor and
- 1:33Speaker 1: I really push gay rights on my anniversary because I
- 1:36Speaker 1: really truly believe that gay people have every right to
- 1:39Speaker 1: be as miserable as married people, and so I am
- 1:44Speaker 1: perfectly fine with that.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Do you know many years ago, I don't know if
- 1:48Speaker 4: you even know this, many many years ago, over a decade,
- 1:52Speaker 4: that I reached out to GLAD for one of their
- 1:54Speaker 4: awards ceremonies or something they were doing honoring people, and
- 2:00Speaker 4: nominated you for it for what you've done for gay couples.
- 2:05Speaker 4: And I never heard back from them.
- 2:06Speaker 1: No kidding, I heard seriously, you, Joe, I understand. Let
- 2:10Speaker 1: me tell you I have literally done I've been. I
- 2:14Speaker 1: was working with gay couples when I started surrogacy. I
- 2:18Speaker 1: didn't know if I was going to go to prison
- 2:19Speaker 1: for just doing gay couples.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I might want to rephrase that, Well, no, it's true.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Well, yeah, for helping gay couples, because those were the
- 2:28Speaker 1: days where, uh it was I was being pushed for
- 2:32Speaker 1: going to prison with straight couples. You know. Dick and
- 2:35Speaker 1: Jane White picket fence dog named spot kind of thing.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And I was talking to the DA, the Attorney general.
- 2:41Speaker 1: But anyway, so uh, it was really under the table.
- 2:46Speaker 1: But anyway, and then it became dear regular. There was
- 2:49Speaker 1: a lot of issues because I was a favor of
- 2:51Speaker 1: gay marriage forever. You know, what do I care if
- 2:54Speaker 1: you know next door the two gay guys live next
- 2:56Speaker 1: door get married, Well, how does that make my marriage? Uh?
- 2:59Speaker 1: You know, either unsank or sainct whatever. So anyway, which
- 3:04Speaker 1: marriage are you talking about? Whatever?
- 3:06Speaker 4: You know, any one of the four? Thank you very much.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I saw happy anniversary. I remember when you guys exchanged
- 3:12Speaker 4: pins for your accounts. It was so moving at the ceremony.
- 3:17Speaker 1: That's actually very funny. Do you know that? And did
- 3:20Speaker 1: you know that, Lindsay? It was a beautiful ceremony. Thank you.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Lindsay wanted to convert and I wouldn't let her. I
- 3:27Speaker 1: would not let her convert. I said to her, let
- 3:31Speaker 1: me tell you, I've already been married to a Jewish woman.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm not going to do that one again.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Uh. You know, Jewish folks don't really respect the conversion.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It's not like they think, oh you're Jewish. Yeah, they don't.
- 3:44Speaker 1: They don't want know it's they do not want people
- 3:46Speaker 1: do not go door to doorize. Well, it takes it
- 3:50Speaker 1: takes a year for someone to convert. They make it.
- 3:52Speaker 1: The religion makes it very difficult, uh, to convert. Now, Christianity,
- 3:57Speaker 1: you literally look to the sky and say I believe
- 4:00Speaker 1: you three times. Uh, and you're a Christian. Uh. It's
- 4:06Speaker 1: like Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz. You put your
- 4:08Speaker 1: heels three times and your see someone said God bless you,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and I was a Christian. Yeah, pretty much. So anyways,
- 4:15Speaker 1: more than the Jewish. Yeah, by the way, we have
- 4:20Speaker 1: our big event tomorrow and this is the Folk Report
- 4:25Speaker 1: is going to be broadcast from my house, something that
- 4:28Speaker 1: we are doing we've never done before. And this is
- 4:30Speaker 1: for people who so generously donated to Katarina's club. I
- 4:34Speaker 1: mean big money. So excited. It's going to be very,
- 4:38Speaker 1: very excited. And Uh as far as well, back to
- 4:42Speaker 1: Jewish people, they are not invited. U. The only one
- 4:46Speaker 1: who's invited is me, Uh, simply because I had no choice. Jews,
- 4:50Speaker 1: not a chance, not interested. A lot of pork, A
- 4:54Speaker 1: lot of pork. We're having Okay, guys, go menu. Yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 1: it is tremendous. Okay, let me say hello to crowd. Amy.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Good morning, Hi Bill. Hi, And there is will Michigan
- 5:08Speaker 1: football shirt. Yeah, good morning Bill. Wow did you go
- 5:11Speaker 1: to Michigan? I did not. I visited though. Oh therefore
- 5:15Speaker 1: you wear a T shirt? Right? Yeah, I have a sweat.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I've sweats from Oxford. People think I'm from Oxford. Neil,
- 5:23Speaker 1: good morning, Hi buddy. There you are. Sam is in
- 5:26Speaker 1: for KNO today and to and Monday morning, Sam, Good morning, Bill.
- 5:32Speaker 1: There you go. And then last bit certainly leased and
- 5:36Speaker 1: good morning Anne. Okay, she's shaking you off. Of course
- 5:39Speaker 1: she does. Oh, of course she does. She always does.
- 5:42Speaker 1: He says, I think I got everybody here. Let's do it.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Lots of news as usual on this Friday, March twentieth,
- 5:50Speaker 1: lead story and the Pentagon. He has asked for two
- 5:55Speaker 1: hundred billion dollars to fund the Iranian war. And the
- 6:00Speaker 1: question is, well, the first time, around eleven billion dollars
- 6:03Speaker 1: for the first week, and you've got various legislators saying,
- 6:08Speaker 1: wait a sect, the war is almost over, it's going
- 6:10Speaker 1: to be soon. Why do you want two hundred billion dollars?
- 6:14Speaker 1: And this is basically twenty five percent of the entire
- 6:18Speaker 1: budget of the Pentagon for the year, so that's sort
- 6:22Speaker 1: of up in the air. And Pete Hegseth his response is, obviously,
- 6:27Speaker 1: it takes money to kill bad guys, and the two
- 6:30Speaker 1: hundred billion dollars seems to be sort of a guess,
- 6:34Speaker 1: he says. He said, I think the number could move
- 6:36Speaker 1: up or down, and so we'll see what happens on
- 6:40Speaker 1: that one. A lot of controversy on the two hundred billion.
- 6:43Speaker 1: This is one where the president or the Pentagon asked
- 6:46Speaker 1: the president. The President then goes to Congress and this
- 6:49Speaker 1: is no joke. Two hundred billion dollars. There is no
- 6:52Speaker 1: way he's going to be able to fight this war
- 6:56Speaker 1: the way he wants to without congressional approval. That's way
- 6:59Speaker 1: too much money for him just to do it arbitrarily,
- 7:03Speaker 1: although he has that's at this.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Point shifting focus. California lawmakers have introduced a bill to
- 7:13Speaker 2: change Caesar Chavez Day to farm Workers' Day, of course,
- 7:18Speaker 2: coming in the light of the New York Times investigation
- 7:23Speaker 2: showing that Caesar Chavez groomed and sexually abused two girls,
- 7:27Speaker 2: and also then word that Delores Suerta actually she came
- 7:32Speaker 2: forward herself and said that she was raped by Chavez
- 7:36Speaker 2: and he fathered two of her kids. And Mayor Bass
- 7:38Speaker 2: also signed a proclamation changing Caesar Chaves Day to farm
- 7:44Speaker 2: Workers Day, and the La County Board of Supervisors is
- 7:46Speaker 2: doing a similar thing.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Did do you hear her interview or see her interview?
- 7:51Speaker 1: Basses no no queerta Dolores. She's ninety six years old
- 7:57Speaker 1: and is so sharp and looks so good. She is
- 8:02Speaker 1: tremendous and still is the titular head of the farm
- 8:06Speaker 1: workers Union. And she is she's the Rosa Parks basically
- 8:09Speaker 1: of the farm Workers Union. And originally it's now farm
- 8:13Speaker 1: Workers Day. They dropped the name. Originally they wanted to
- 8:17Speaker 1: let's not rape the farm workers Day. Nice, thank you know.
- 8:21Speaker 4: We need to stop, you know, deifying people. It should
- 8:26Speaker 4: be about the farm workers because otherwise we're going to
- 8:30Speaker 4: be changing schools left and right down.
- 8:32Speaker 1: You can't defy you can't defy an entire movement. You
- 8:36Speaker 1: can deify an individuals. So that's the problem. And you know,
- 8:39Speaker 1: people are human, you know, people are human, especially perverts
- 8:45Speaker 1: like Chavez. Okay, let's take a break and we're going
- 8:50Speaker 1: to come back and we'll do more some bad news, uh,
- 8:54Speaker 1: and then some more bad news. It's a nice day.
- 8:58Speaker 1: This is KFI back. We are Handle and the morning Crew.
- 9:03Speaker 1: It's a foody Friday and it is ask Handle anything Friday.
- 9:07Speaker 1: So the last hour on Friday is always great fun.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Moving on with a Handle on the news, Amy and
- 9:14Speaker 1: Neil and Me.
- 9:17Speaker 4: March seventeenth or sixteenth, rather, you had a young man
- 9:24Speaker 4: by the name of James Jimmy Gracie as his friends
- 9:28Speaker 4: knew him. Twenty years old. He was from the University
- 9:32Speaker 4: of Alabama visiting friends in Barcelona that were studying abroad there,
- 9:36Speaker 4: and he went out to a club there and was
- 9:42Speaker 4: last seen in the early morning hours of March seventeenth,
- 9:45Speaker 4: and sadly they just the police there just found his
- 9:50Speaker 4: body on a beach. And although it's closure for the family,
- 9:54Speaker 4: it is very sad.
- 9:56Speaker 1: No details. I mean they think they they are saying
- 10:00Speaker 1: it it's not foul play. And what I thought under
- 10:04Speaker 1: the circumstances, Yeah, I'm thinking. I'm thinking since it was
- 10:07Speaker 1: a club, it was one o'clock in the morning and
- 10:09Speaker 1: he walks out of the club and goes to the beach,
- 10:12Speaker 1: I would guess that alcohol was involved. I may be
- 10:15Speaker 1: dead wrong, but that's I think that's a reasonable guess, yeah,
- 10:21Speaker 1: sad story all around.
- 10:24Speaker 2: That two hundred billion the Pentagon wants, that's just a
- 10:26Speaker 2: drop in the bucket, she said, tongue in cheek. What
- 10:31Speaker 2: the national debts are passed a record thirty nine trillion
- 10:35Speaker 2: dollars on Wednesday. The Government Accountability Office has outlined some
- 10:39Speaker 2: of the impact of rising government debt, including higher borrowing
- 10:43Speaker 2: costs for things like homes and cars, lower wages for businesses,
- 10:47Speaker 2: having less money available to invest, and more expensive goods
- 10:51Speaker 2: and services.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yep. And do you remember when under Obama the national
- 10:57Speaker 1: debt hit twenty trillion dollars and Republicans and Donald Trump
- 11:01Speaker 1: went just absolutely crazy. It was so high, and that
- 11:07Speaker 1: was one of the campaign promises to reduce the debt,
- 11:09Speaker 1: and he blamed or Republicans blamed Joe Biden for increasing
- 11:13Speaker 1: the debt dramatically, which he did. But this was during COVID,
- 11:17Speaker 1: and it was a question of a national emergency. World
- 11:21Speaker 1: War two, the debt exploded also, and so you can
- 11:25Speaker 1: argue that during COVID it's legitimate. Not so much now
- 11:29Speaker 1: because there are a lot of people that are against this.
- 11:32Speaker 1: So we're going to talk a lot more about the
- 11:34Speaker 1: debt and the cost of the war, because that's going
- 11:38Speaker 1: to be way at the front burner. It's who you know?
- 11:42Speaker 4: I guess next star is back in the news. They
- 11:45Speaker 4: are the largest owner of TV stations in the United States. Well,
- 11:49Speaker 4: they got approval, They won the approval to buy their rival,
- 11:54Speaker 4: their rival, Tegna, how you pronounced Tigna teg Na. Just
- 12:00Speaker 4: yesterday they purchased six point two billion dollar deal is
- 12:05Speaker 4: what it cost, and it would it's going to reshape
- 12:08Speaker 4: the landscape for local television and news coverage for sure.
- 12:12Speaker 4: But the Justice Department and the FCC each gave a
- 12:16Speaker 4: green light to the deal. This kind of the way
- 12:22Speaker 4: it used to be is you could only have less
- 12:26Speaker 4: than thirty nine percent of American households.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Do you remember, it's just too powerful. Do you remember
- 12:33Speaker 1: that it used to be the networks could only own
- 12:36Speaker 1: five oh and o television stations that's owned and operated five.
- 12:41Speaker 1: That was it.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Now in radio, we used to be able to own eight,
- 12:44Speaker 4: which is what.
- 12:47Speaker 1: In any given market, and television it was five in
- 12:52Speaker 1: the entire country. Now it is unlimited. This is going
- 12:56Speaker 1: to well, can you imagine basically forty percent of all
- 13:01Speaker 1: American the radio state, I mean, the television stations. Radio
- 13:05Speaker 1: I think is wide open. Uh. For example, iHeart has
- 13:09Speaker 1: eight hundred radio stations. Sure do you know that? Uh?
- 13:14Speaker 1: Do you know that? To handle on the law. My
- 13:17Speaker 1: syndicated showed as three hundred and sixty radio stations. Three
- 13:22Speaker 1: hundred and sixty Radio.
- 13:23Speaker 5: Seight now listens to you in medd Oregon.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Yeah, most of my states. Most of my stations are
- 13:29Speaker 1: in uh in you know, Uh God ass why you know?
- 13:32Speaker 1: But ass y Wyoming, you know where there are fewer
- 13:36Speaker 1: people in the entire town, much less listeners that have
- 13:40Speaker 1: less than one hundred people. So I have twenty listeners
- 13:43Speaker 1: in many, many, many markets. That's how you get three
- 13:49Speaker 1: hundred and sixty. Do you know that? Go ahead? Could
- 13:52Speaker 1: this be undone? If? If I don't think so, I
- 13:58Speaker 1: well we could. Because the govern set breaks up businesses
- 14:04Speaker 1: like crazy. It says to major corporations, you've got to
- 14:08Speaker 1: break up. That was one of the issues of TikTok.
- 14:11Speaker 1: It was done with the networks. ABC was created when
- 14:15Speaker 1: the government told NBC, and we're talking back in the fifties,
- 14:19Speaker 1: you have to spin off some of your television stations.
- 14:24Speaker 1: And that's how that's how ABC was created. To pardon
- 14:27Speaker 1: the phone companies as well. But yeah, that AT, Yes, Bell,
- 14:31Speaker 1: AT and T had to be split up, and that's
- 14:33Speaker 1: how Bell telephoned. The local stations were created, yeah, or
- 14:36Speaker 1: the local television radio no telephone. There we go. I
- 14:40Speaker 1: finally got there.
- 14:41Speaker 2: So because it's now only going to reach eighty percent
- 14:45Speaker 2: of the households, they can't say it's a monopoly.
- 14:47Speaker 5: It just seems so.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Of course it's a monopoly. Of course it is.
- 14:50Speaker 5: Why are they letting it happen?
- 14:52Speaker 3: Then?
- 14:52Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know. Maybe it's the Trump administration that
- 14:54Speaker 1: has no problem with major corporations. You think that's possible.
- 15:00Speaker 4: It's a little, it's a little thank you for taking
- 15:03Speaker 4: Jimmy Kimmel off the air.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and thank you for supporting the president. There was
- 15:09Speaker 1: talk of breaking up Facebook and YouTube as being way
- 15:13Speaker 1: too powerful and TikTok particularly. Yeah, you know the government
- 15:18Speaker 1: does that all the time under the Sherman Anti Trust Act.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Just too powerful, too much of the market seems to
- 15:25Speaker 1: be okay, which is unheard of. But you know, times
- 15:29Speaker 1: have changed, all right, One more before we take a break, Amy.
- 15:33Speaker 2: What's a little joke among friends? At a meeting in
- 15:37Speaker 2: the Oval Office yesterday with Japan's Prime Minister Sanai tak Aichi.
- 15:46Speaker 2: President Trump was responding to a question from a reporter
- 15:50Speaker 2: about why Japan and other allies had received no advance
- 15:53Speaker 2: notice that the US and Israel were planning to attack Iran,
- 15:59Speaker 2: and he said, well, we didn't tell anybody about it
- 16:01Speaker 2: because we wanted surprise. And then he said, who knows
- 16:05Speaker 2: better about surprise than Japan? Okay, why didn't you tell
- 16:08Speaker 2: me about Pearl Harbor?
- 16:10Speaker 1: Oh? My god.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Yeah, you and Trump are the same person.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much. And this one, this was really bad.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I'm surprised he didn't talk about his son in law,
- 16:21Speaker 1: Jery Kushner, who believes in the Torah torah torah. Now
- 16:26Speaker 1: that is a historical joke, because that was the call
- 16:30Speaker 1: his Well, here's why, because when Pearl Harbor was attacked,
- 16:34Speaker 1: the code word for a successful attack on Pearl Harbor
- 16:39Speaker 1: that was transmitted back to Japan by the lead pilot
- 16:45Speaker 1: was torah torrah torah. It's also sushi too, So there
- 16:51Speaker 1: you go.
- 16:52Speaker 2: So they were calling back to Japan's saying it's time
- 16:54Speaker 2: for sushi.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Close, close, It was torah torah torah. Little history. Let's
- 17:01Speaker 1: take a break, we're coming back all right.
- 17:03Speaker 3: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 17:07Speaker 3: six forty.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Bill Handle here Friday morning, March twentieth, let's returned to
- 17:15Speaker 1: Handle on the news with Amy and Neil and.
- 17:18Speaker 4: All right, James, call mey the name you haven't heard
- 17:23Speaker 4: in a minute, former FBI director. He's subpoenaed in a
- 17:27Speaker 4: Trump appointed prosecutor's grand conspiracy probe that continues to go on.
- 17:32Speaker 4: This is that wide ranging investigation being run by the
- 17:36Speaker 4: Trump appointed federal prosecutor in Florida. So NBC reported that
- 17:43Speaker 4: Attorney General Pam Bondi directed Justice Department prosecutors to investigate
- 17:48Speaker 4: actions surrounding the twenty sixteen election. So that's where this
- 17:52Speaker 4: all goes back to.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so the attack on those perceived enemy of the
- 18:01Speaker 1: president continue on and on, even though cases have been
- 18:04Speaker 1: dismissed left and right, it doesn't seem to matter. And
- 18:10Speaker 1: so another subpoena, another attack. It will not stop. You
- 18:17Speaker 1: know when it's going to stop. When the next administration
- 18:22Speaker 1: comes into power, that's when this stuff will stop.
- 18:26Speaker 4: I think Trump said, when you pull the White House
- 18:29Speaker 4: out of my cold dead hands.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much.
- 18:35Speaker 2: A bachelorette bombshell. ABC has pulled the plug on season
- 18:39Speaker 2: twenty two of The Bachelorette, its stars Taylor Frankie Paul
- 18:44Speaker 2: or used to It was supposed to premiere on Sunday,
- 18:48Speaker 2: but ABC said, in light of a newly released video,
- 18:53Speaker 2: we've made the decision not to move forward with the
- 18:55Speaker 2: new season of the Bachelorette at this time. Our focus
- 18:58Speaker 2: is on supporting the family. The video, It's.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Crazy, is really bad.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:04Speaker 2: The video is of the Taylor Frankie Paul in a
- 19:09Speaker 2: fight with her ex partner and they're going at it
- 19:14Speaker 2: and she's yelling and screaming and throwing chairs and apparently
- 19:17Speaker 2: one of the chairs hit their child. So she and
- 19:22Speaker 2: she's she's pleaded guilty to charges. This happened back in
- 19:26Speaker 2: twenty twenty three, I believe. But yeah, maybe you do.
- 19:32Speaker 1: You watch one of those I have not seen one
- 19:35Speaker 1: episode of any one of these series of shows.
- 19:40Speaker 5: I used to watch it.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yeah, like I stopped.
- 19:43Speaker 5: I stopped when they fired Chris Harrison.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Oh too bad. The Swamp People get married.
- 19:48Speaker 2: I would watch this Swamp people. Yeah, this isn't that,
- 19:51Speaker 2: this is not the Swamp People.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Oh, but that would be watch swamp would be interesting.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yeah, toothless swamp people getting married or beard that includes
- 20:01Speaker 1: the women and the men.
- 20:02Speaker 5: You know, well, they do it if they can make money.
- 20:04Speaker 5: I don't remember honeyboo boo.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Oh god, ye whatever happened to her? Oh, I'll bet
- 20:09Speaker 1: you she's out there turning tricks. Oh, by the way,
- 20:13Speaker 1: that's that's an apology, I'm telling you right now. I
- 20:15Speaker 1: take that. I take that back. That was parody. Okay,
- 20:18Speaker 1: that was parody. I don't want to get sued. That
- 20:20Speaker 1: didn't mean that, Okay. German porn honey doodoo, Oh nicely, Okay.
- 20:29Speaker 1: So if you're gonna sue, you're gonna sue, Neil. Okay,
- 20:35Speaker 1: Sam like that.
- 20:37Speaker 4: And he's got a pH d in sexual deviancy or
- 20:40Speaker 4: whatever he does.
- 20:41Speaker 1: That's because he is a deviant back and is studying himself.
- 20:45Speaker 1: It's like a masturbation in the world of education. You
- 20:49Speaker 1: cannot disagree with any of this. There you go. See
- 20:52Speaker 1: he does it to himself. He studies himself. All right,
- 20:55Speaker 1: one more of what before we take a break, Neil.
- 20:59Speaker 4: You US State Department says that it's adding twelve countries
- 21:04Speaker 4: to exist, expanding list of nations. This is interesting. So
- 21:09Speaker 4: any of these citizens that come from these twelve nations
- 21:12Speaker 4: have to put up a bond of fifteen thousand dollars
- 21:16Speaker 4: to apply for a US visa. If you're turned down,
- 21:19Speaker 4: you get the money back. If you come and you
- 21:22Speaker 4: obey the laws and don't cause any mischief, apparently you
- 21:26Speaker 4: get it back. Otherwise it's taken from you. And this
- 21:28Speaker 4: is like Cambodia, Ethiopia, Granada, Nicaragua, Papua New Guinea, all
- 21:35Speaker 4: these Tunisia, all these places that are on that list.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Basically, if you're white and European, you're okay. Well you
- 21:49Speaker 1: go see, Yeah, this administration really wants immigrants, isn't it.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Not that random?
- 21:55Speaker 1: When you look at the color right and also to
- 21:59Speaker 1: the station as a point, these are the countries where
- 22:02Speaker 1: people overstay their visas far more than other countries, and
- 22:06Speaker 1: so I think it's a legitimate discrimination. All right, we're
- 22:11Speaker 1: coming back. Let's take a break and welcome back everybody.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Handle here and the morning crew on a foody Friday
- 22:18Speaker 1: and ask Handle anything Friday. Always fun on Friday. Let's
- 22:23Speaker 1: go ahead and finish up Handle on the news with
- 22:26Speaker 1: Amy Neil and me.
- 22:28Speaker 5: Viva la Women says Fifa. I don't know that's the
- 22:32Speaker 5: right use of the word.
- 22:33Speaker 2: FIFA's councils passed a new rule changing its participation requirements
- 22:38Speaker 2: for all nations. Ahead of the twenty twenty seven Women's
- 22:41Speaker 2: World Cup. The FIFA Council pasted what it described as
- 22:44Speaker 2: a landmark regulation to make females be represented in the
- 22:48Speaker 2: coaching staff across women's soccer teams if they want to
- 22:52Speaker 2: play in FIFA tournaments.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Come on, aren't you getting a little tired of pretending
- 22:57Speaker 1: that women are equal to men? Give me a break.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Crickets out of the air system, crickets anyone? Thank you.
- 23:09Speaker 4: You know what's funny is people can't see this, but
- 23:12Speaker 4: before Handle makes jokes like that, he looks around to
- 23:15Speaker 4: make sure Lindsay isn't anywhere near it.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Yeah, carrying my balls in a jar of formaldehyde in
- 23:23Speaker 1: the room. Yes, absolutely, all right.
- 23:26Speaker 4: California continues to be stupid. New poll shows that California
- 23:31Speaker 4: voters are very divided over two brewing statewide ballot measures.
- 23:36Speaker 4: So you know, partisan this partisan that basically you have
- 23:40Speaker 4: the one time tax on billionaires to pay for mostly healthcare,
- 23:45Speaker 4: and a voter I D mandate that includes citizenship verification.
- 23:50Speaker 4: I don't know why that's controversial. So this was The
- 23:54Speaker 4: survey was conducted by UC Berkeley Institute of Government Studies.
- 23:58Speaker 1: They're very balanced.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Showed fifty two percent of registered voters support the billionaire's tax.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Of course they're not billionaires. Well, thirty three percent say
- 24:08Speaker 4: the opposed, at fifteen percent were undecided. Support for the
- 24:12Speaker 4: voter i D measure was more evenly split, with forty
- 24:15Speaker 4: four percent of voters in support and forty five opposed.
- 24:20Speaker 4: The remainder undecided because, of course, as I don't know,
- 24:26Speaker 4: liberal minded folks will tell you minorities are too stupid
- 24:30Speaker 4: to live like normal people.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I think there's an immorality to being a billionaire and
- 24:35Speaker 1: being wealthy. A matter of fact, I'm going to talk
- 24:37Speaker 1: about what Americans consider immoral. That's later on at seven
- 24:41Speaker 1: point thirty before we do Foody Friday. And there's a
- 24:47Speaker 1: moral aspect to being incredibly rich. I just don't get it,
- 24:51Speaker 1: But all right, let's just move on.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Apparently Fetterman has some splaining to do. Democratic Senator John
- 24:59Speaker 2: Fetterman from Pennsylvani cast the deciding vote to advance Mark
- 25:03Speaker 2: Wayne Mullen's nomination to serve as Department of Homeland Security
- 25:07Speaker 2: Secretary in a post on X He said his decision
- 25:11Speaker 2: to join Republicans on the Senate Homeland Security and Government
- 25:14Speaker 2: Affairs Committee was that in January he called on the
- 25:19Speaker 2: President to fire Christy Nome, and he did. He said,
- 25:22Speaker 2: I truly approached the confirmation of my colleague and friends,
- 25:25Speaker 2: Senator Mullen with an open mind. He said, we need
- 25:28Speaker 2: a leader at DHS. We must reopen DHS.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Yeah, he's an outlier Senator. I mean, he's the kind
- 25:36Speaker 1: of senator which I like. He's not in lockstep in
- 25:40Speaker 1: the way the Republicans and the Democrats are.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Well, then you like Rand Paul too, because he voted against.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I do like Ram Paul. He's a super hawk
- 25:48Speaker 1: and he's a deficit hawk. Yeah. I do like Ram Paul.
- 25:55Speaker 1: One being a Republican, one being a Democrat.
- 25:57Speaker 5: Yep.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Every time I Fetterman, I expect him to say, I
- 26:02Speaker 4: am grooped.
- 26:03Speaker 1: All right, I'm moving on.
- 26:05Speaker 4: FDA pols proposed rule barring teens from indoor tanning, so
- 26:10Speaker 4: anybody under eighteen eighteen or under would not legally be
- 26:15Speaker 4: allowed to use tanning salon. But it doesn't seem to
- 26:20Speaker 4: be moving anywhere. So they're looking at adding like you know,
- 26:26Speaker 4: a waiver of some kind. But when you look at
- 26:29Speaker 4: the fact that tanning beds can emit as much as
- 26:32Speaker 4: fifteen times the amount of ultraviolet radiation that cause sunburns
- 26:38Speaker 4: and things like that, dangerous stuff.
- 26:39Speaker 1: It is dangerous stuff. And this was in a minute.
- 26:42Speaker 1: The administration was pushing for anyone under eighteen could not
- 26:47Speaker 1: use tanning beds, and now they withdrew that and are
- 26:51Speaker 1: saying that anybody under eighteen is okay to use tanning beds.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I guess they just like people when they take their
- 26:59Speaker 1: shirts off to look like a pepperoni pizza because there'll
- 27:02Speaker 1: be so many, so many moles on your skin. That's
- 27:05Speaker 1: a melanoma joke. By the way, I just I was
- 27:07Speaker 1: going to say, the melanoma.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Group that is trying to get this past melanoma medicine.
- 27:15Speaker 1: We're done, guys. That is it. And coming up, the
- 27:20Speaker 1: Pentagon is asking for two hundred billion dollars to fund
- 27:25Speaker 1: the Iranian war. Billions and billions. By the way, Carl
- 27:29Speaker 1: Sagan did not say that. I just want to point
- 27:31Speaker 1: that out. Oh mockery. He didn't say that. I listened
- 27:35Speaker 1: to an interview the other day with Carlo Paul Sagan
- 27:38Speaker 1: and just didn't say that he's given credit for it.
- 27:41Speaker 1: He ended up saying that because that rumor started, so
- 27:44Speaker 1: he bought into the rumor afterwards. I don't know, I
- 27:51Speaker 1: don't know.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Whould you watch an interview with you, said Paul Sagan.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Oh no, Carl said Carl. Okay, yeah, I'm sorry. I
- 27:58Speaker 1: just wanted to clarify now, Yes, you're learning to speak handle,
- 28:01Speaker 1: Yes you are, Yes, you are all right, we're coming
- 28:05Speaker 1: back the Pentagon two hundred billion dollars for the Iranian war,
- 28:09Speaker 1: and there's a lot to that. This is KFI AM sixty.
- 28:14Speaker 1: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show. Catch my
- 28:17Speaker 1: show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am, and
