Kroger’s Barracks Road store might be closing — its lease ends in 2028 — but the company says no final decision’s been made. It’s not the first move in the area; their Emmet Street store shut down last year, leaving only Barracks Road and Rio Hill as local Kroger spots. The Barracks Road location, which got a 2013 makeover and has stood since 1959, remains a neighborhood staple.
