- 0:09Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Everyone, Welcome into another episode of to Checko Deli Andrew
- 0:14Speaker 2: de Checko, Eagles beat reporter for Inside the Birds dot
- 0:17Speaker 2: Com here and in today's episode, we're going to take
- 0:21Speaker 2: a look at the reported thirty visits for the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 0:26Speaker 2: And notice I said thirty visits, not top thirty visits,
- 0:30Speaker 2: because when you when you hear the term top thirty,
- 0:34Speaker 2: which is taboo in my industry, it indicates that they're
- 0:37Speaker 2: the top thirty players that are on a team's board,
- 0:40Speaker 2: and that's just not the case. But to expand on this,
- 0:43Speaker 2: thirty visits are the probably the greatest indicator of interest
- 0:48Speaker 2: of some kind. You just have to sometimes connect the dots.
- 0:52Speaker 2: But throughout the pre draft process you'll hear player X
- 0:55Speaker 2: met with the Eagles at the Shrine game, at the
- 0:59Speaker 2: Senior Bowl, Combine, Hula Bowl, whatever. This is. Obviously, when
- 1:05Speaker 2: you have thirty slots, this is obviously more notable. And
- 1:09Speaker 2: there's a lot of names and a lot of positions here,
- 1:12Speaker 2: and there's a number of reasons why a team may
- 1:15Speaker 2: bring in a player, one purely for interest. They want
- 1:19Speaker 2: to get FaceTime with the players, see how they are
- 1:23Speaker 2: inside the building, and just get that you know one
- 1:27Speaker 2: on one time outside of the speed dating that is
- 1:30Speaker 2: the NFL Combine where you're meeting with all these different teams.
- 1:34Speaker 2: It's just a more intimate setting. And another reason, and
- 1:38Speaker 2: there are many, but one other reason could be that
- 1:41Speaker 2: you are trying to get intel on maybe that player's
- 1:46Speaker 2: teammate and you want to hear a different perspective. Those
- 1:49Speaker 2: are just a couple of examples, but it just kind
- 1:52Speaker 2: of it really illustrates the thought process for teams when
- 1:57Speaker 2: they bring players in. And sometimes you may see a
- 2:00Speaker 2: player that's projected on Day three, or you may say
- 2:04Speaker 2: to yourself, well, that's a projected seventh round pick. If
- 2:08Speaker 2: they don't get drafted in the seventh round, let's say
- 2:11Speaker 2: they could become a priority free agent, and you've already
- 2:14Speaker 2: done the intel, You've already gathered the intel, you already
- 2:17Speaker 2: know the person, you've had the FaceTime, so it maybe
- 2:21Speaker 2: gives you a better opportunity or you feel more comfortable
- 2:24Speaker 2: bringing that player in if you have sort of an
- 2:29Speaker 2: assumption or a gut sense that they're not going to
- 2:31Speaker 2: be drafted. So those are just some reasons. But let's
- 2:34Speaker 2: get to the players who are named, and there's a
- 2:39Speaker 2: lot of offensive tackles here, So I think that that
- 2:42Speaker 2: kind of underscores the importance and the focus on that
- 2:46Speaker 2: position in the draft, and that really shouldn't be a surprise.
- 2:49Speaker 2: That's a priority position offensive line in general for the
- 2:53Speaker 2: Philodelphia Eagles, but certainly when you look at it through
- 2:57Speaker 2: the lens of Lane Johnson and what his immediate or
- 3:01Speaker 2: i guess short term future could be, and you have
- 3:04Speaker 2: to add that air replace air apparent, that replacement in place,
- 3:09Speaker 2: so you're able to almost pass that proverbial baton whenever
- 3:13Speaker 2: Lane Johnson does decide to step away from the game. So,
- 3:18Speaker 2: as I mentioned, there's sort of a logjam of offensive
- 3:21Speaker 2: tackles here. So we'll start with Travis Burke from Memphis.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Travis Burke six foot nine, three hundred and twenty three
- 3:32Speaker 2: hundred and twenty five pounds. He started at Memphis eleven
- 3:36Speaker 2: games at right tackle, and he went to Florida International
- 3:41Speaker 2: before that, and then before that it was Gardner Webb,
- 3:44Speaker 2: so he was well traveled. He was invited to the
- 3:47Speaker 2: Shrine Bowl. So just a little bit of a background
- 3:49Speaker 2: there on Travis Burke. Markel Bell, an offensive tackle out
- 3:53Speaker 2: of Miami, is a really interesting one, and I do
- 3:56Speaker 2: like his tape and he's huge at six foot nine,
- 4:01Speaker 2: he's over three hundred and forty five pounds, but.
- 4:05Speaker 1: So you like the length there.
- 4:07Speaker 2: He was a left tackle for the for Miami in
- 4:11Speaker 2: twenty twenty five, and he's probably going to be if
- 4:16Speaker 2: I had to guess, he probably slides in at the
- 4:19Speaker 2: back end of the third round or top of the fourth.
- 4:22Speaker 2: That late three, early four is kind of where I
- 4:25Speaker 2: have him projected. One of my favorite offensive tackles in
- 4:29Speaker 2: this class was a thirty visit max ian I core
- 4:33Speaker 2: ian Ihanachor offensive tackle out of Arizona State. Ian Ochr
- 4:41Speaker 2: is a as a player that I like. When you
- 4:45Speaker 2: look at his size though, sixty six, three twenty that
- 4:48Speaker 2: screams right tackle to me. And he was the right
- 4:52Speaker 2: tackle for Arizona State last season, and he's sort of
- 4:58Speaker 2: I guess I would say he's an unpolished product, but
- 5:01Speaker 2: the athleticism and upside with him are a parent to me.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I think the biggest the biggest driving force here with
- 5:12Speaker 2: my interest is the way that And it was like
- 5:15Speaker 2: this with jay oix Hunt as well, who was new
- 5:18Speaker 2: to playing pass rusher.
- 5:19Speaker 1: He was a safety previously.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Is how you acquit yourself under the scrutiny of a
- 5:25Speaker 2: senior Bowl where you're amongst the best talent in the country.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And I thought that he did a nice.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Job there, So that could be a player that I'm
- 5:34Speaker 2: looking at top of round two with pick fifty four,
- 5:38Speaker 2: that would be his range. There are a couple tackles
- 5:41Speaker 2: who I mentioned on this podcast that I like a
- 5:43Speaker 2: little bit better for value, for one, but also the
- 5:47Speaker 2: style of offense that the Eagles are expected to implement
- 5:50Speaker 2: under Sean Mannion. Isaiah World from Oregon. Again, it built
- 5:57Speaker 2: more in the mold of a right time. At six
- 6:00Speaker 2: foot six three twenty he was the left tackle for
- 6:03Speaker 2: Oregon last season, and he was at He went to
- 6:07Speaker 2: Nevada previously. But that's that's someone to possibly keep an
- 6:13Speaker 2: eye on. I like some of the other players that
- 6:18Speaker 2: I just talked about, especially Io, not sure a lot
- 6:22Speaker 2: more than I like someone like an Isaiah World, and
- 6:25Speaker 2: I think he's probably just the way that I have
- 6:29Speaker 2: him graded is probably a tier below, but an interesting player.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Jude Bowery from Boston College. He's an offensive lineman. I
- 6:37Speaker 2: like his versatility, at least as it's projected when you
- 6:41Speaker 2: look at his size, six', five three hundred and fifteen.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Pounds he was the left tackle For Boston. College he
- 6:48Speaker 2: was also, There let's not forget When Drew kendall was.
- 6:50Speaker 2: There so The eagles had interest In Drew kendall last draft.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Cycle they had A zoom meeting and all. That But
- 6:58Speaker 2: Jude bowery is PROBABLY i view him as a fourth
- 7:01Speaker 2: round pick right, now but he does have interior projection to,
- 7:06Speaker 2: me AND i think if you're looking for a younger player,
- 7:09Speaker 2: Again Drew kendall projects more as a.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Center if you want someone.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Who can be that reserve guard and maybe have some
- 7:16Speaker 2: kind of upside there to grow and develop within the,
- 7:19Speaker 2: SYSTEM i would like that as A day three pick
- 7:21Speaker 2: If i'm The, eagles because there's upside. There Caleb loomu
- 7:26Speaker 2: From utah another offensive. Tackle he was a two year
- 7:31Speaker 2: starter and.
- 7:36Speaker 1: He's a first round.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Pick SO i Say lomu is definitely the best tackle
- 7:42Speaker 2: that is listed, Here but where The eagles are sitting
- 7:45Speaker 2: at twenty, Three i'm not quite sure that that would
- 7:49Speaker 2: be a realistic, pick at least Where i'm. EXPECTING i
- 7:52Speaker 2: think he goes a little bit before The eagles.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Are on the.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Clock so if they want, him they're probably gonna have
- 7:58Speaker 2: to trade up two or three at least as we're
- 8:01Speaker 2: sitting here On april, EIGHTH i THINK i view him
- 8:04Speaker 2: as more of a closer to a mid first round.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Pick all, right let's get to some other players, here
- 8:14Speaker 2: and we'll start with wide, receivers Because Chris bell From
- 8:17Speaker 2: louisville is someone WHO i really. Like his build kind
- 8:22Speaker 2: of reminds me OF Aj. Brown he's compactly, built six
- 8:26Speaker 2: two two twenty, ish tough to bring, down and he
- 8:30Speaker 2: did have THE acl injury to end the twenty twenty
- 8:33Speaker 2: late in the twenty twenty five, season so you have
- 8:36Speaker 2: to see where he's at health. Wise but he's a
- 8:40Speaker 2: volume receiver AND i think that he is someone if
- 8:44Speaker 2: you're looking to get a manufacturer touch guy in the,
- 8:47Speaker 2: building someone who's going to be good after the, catch
- 8:49Speaker 2: physical at the catch. Point Chris bell is someone that
- 8:54Speaker 2: has been really fun to watch over the, years AND
- 8:56Speaker 2: i think he would be a good fit in This
- 8:59Speaker 2: eagles off at least What i'm expecting This eagles offense
- 9:02Speaker 2: to look like it could really accentuate what he does particularly.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Well Omar Cooper.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Jr i've talked about on this podcast before he was
- 9:12Speaker 2: an earlier reported, visit so he. WAS i think he
- 9:15Speaker 2: may have been the first player tied To philadelphia four
- 9:18Speaker 2: to thirty. Visit and, yeah a lot of his YARDS
- 9:21Speaker 2: i think five hundred of his nine hundred plus receiving
- 9:24Speaker 2: yards came after the. Catch he offers positional versatility in
- 9:28Speaker 2: terms of. Alignment he can play inside or. Outside very
- 9:32Speaker 2: aggressive at attacking the, football plays it well in the,
- 9:34Speaker 2: air and AS i, mentioned just someone that you can
- 9:37Speaker 2: get the ball in his hands and he's explosive and
- 9:39Speaker 2: dynamic after the. Catch now you may look at his
- 9:42Speaker 2: size and view him more as a slot. RECEIVER i
- 9:47Speaker 2: think he can do, both which adds. Value more Like Deebo,
- 9:52Speaker 2: samuel but with a little bit more athleticism and, juice
- 9:55Speaker 2: if that makes.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Sense some edge.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Rushers Danny Dennis sutton From Penn. STATE i actually Mocked
- 10:08Speaker 2: Dennis sutton in the third round to The eagles in
- 10:10Speaker 2: my first mock. Draft you like his size and length
- 10:14Speaker 2: at six, six two fifty, five and he's. PHYSICAL i
- 10:18Speaker 2: think he still goes in the third round even, after you,
- 10:21Speaker 2: know as the process has moved, ALONG i don't know
- 10:24Speaker 2: that his stock has really toggled all that much and
- 10:28Speaker 2: he Had he's just a physical player and had a good,
- 10:32Speaker 2: combine had had a really good had a really good
- 10:37Speaker 2: end to his career At Penn, state and showed probability
- 10:41Speaker 2: and his movement and. Physicality he strikes me as someone
- 10:44Speaker 2: who will thrive.
- 10:46Speaker 1: In setting the edge at the next. Level AND i
- 10:48Speaker 1: just like the.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Length when you have length and you have those kind of,
- 10:52Speaker 2: TOOLS i believe That Jeremiah, washburn The eagles pass, rusher
- 10:57Speaker 2: defensive end outside linebackers, coach will be able to to
- 11:00Speaker 2: ultimately get the most.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Out of that.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Player Romelo height From Texas tech another edge. Rusher he's
- 11:08Speaker 2: a little bit on the more undersized category there at six.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Three he's just shy at two.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Forty he did have double digit sacks last season for
- 11:18Speaker 2: The Red raiders ten.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Sacks he was active behind the line of. Scrimmage you
- 11:22Speaker 1: love those.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Qualities those are the first THINGS i look for when
- 11:27Speaker 2: you're trying to gauge their. Impact of, course quarterback hits as,
- 11:30Speaker 2: Well but you, KNOW i think he's a player who
- 11:36Speaker 2: probably thrived playing Opposite David.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Bailey David bailey will be A he's not. COOL i
- 11:42Speaker 1: don't know.
- 11:42Speaker 2: THAT i view him as a blue chip per, se
- 11:45Speaker 2: but he's among the upper echelon prospects in this draft.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Class AND i think that he's.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Someone That Mrmelo height probably benefited playing opposite. HIM i
- 11:55Speaker 2: think he's more of a rotational pass rusher at the next.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Level you'll worry about his ability to anchor at two thirty.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Nine not everybody's Like Nolan, smith who at two thirty,
- 12:04Speaker 2: eight two forty, five whatever he is right, now is
- 12:07Speaker 2: just a force to be reckoned. With he plays with
- 12:10Speaker 2: reckless abandon and that's what Makes Nolan smith one of
- 12:13Speaker 2: the better run defending pass rushers in the league in my.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Opinion BUT i you, know With Romela height that might
- 12:20Speaker 2: be a little bit more of a of a work in.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Progress BUT i do think that he put a lot
- 12:24Speaker 2: of quality rushes on tape and he does have. PROJECTION
- 12:30Speaker 2: I Vieel moore as a high end third pass rusher
- 12:32Speaker 2: in a, rotation if that makes.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Sense they kind of put things into.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Context, hey if you're like, me you're desensitized to the
- 12:39Speaker 3: dozens of notifications on your phone every. Day but if
- 12:43Speaker 3: that latest ping is from your security, camera ignoring it

- 14:52Speaker 3: experience made For philly. Fans twenty one and.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Up nate Bor, Kircher he's a tight end From TEXAS
- 14:59Speaker 2: a and M now he's a little bit. Older he's
- 15:02Speaker 2: twenty four years, old and he didn't do a lot
- 15:06Speaker 2: For TEXAS a AND. M he wasn't utilized all that
- 15:09Speaker 2: much as a, receiver and one of the common themes
- 15:11Speaker 2: That i've seen from a lot of these tight end
- 15:13Speaker 2: prospects is that they didn't have an abundance of receiving
- 15:16Speaker 2: yards or. Receptions Kenyon cidik has less than a thousand
- 15:20Speaker 2: yards receiving for his career At, oregon for, Example Oscar
- 15:24Speaker 2: delp was sparsely utilized as a, receiver AND i think
- 15:27Speaker 2: he has a, very very high ceiling at the next.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Level Dowlan.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Bentley there's just a lot of players THAT i could
- 15:34Speaker 2: go on and on about And Bora kersher is one
- 15:37Speaker 2: of those. Players and last season he had just nineteen
- 15:40Speaker 2: catches for just under two hundred yards and three. Touchdowns
- 15:45Speaker 2: and he could have some blocking, ability so you like
- 15:50Speaker 2: the two sided approach where he has some receiving. ABILITY
- 15:56Speaker 2: i don't know if he's a seam, guy think more
- 15:58Speaker 2: short to, intermediate chain moving type of, player has inline blocking.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Potential but there's a lot of other tight ends THAT
- 16:05Speaker 2: i would. Prefer If i'm The eagles On day, three
- 16:08Speaker 2: because that's WHERE i view him as slotted right. Now
- 16:13Speaker 2: but interesting player just there's there's younger, players there's ones
- 16:19Speaker 2: with higher with a higher projected, upside AND i think
- 16:25Speaker 2: it's still interesting, nonetheless BUT i probably would go in another.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Direction they're given the the robust variety of tight ends
- 16:34Speaker 2: in this draft. Class VEGA i own From Penn. State
- 16:40Speaker 2: he's an interior. Lineman that's a player even as a.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Guard you may say to, yourself would you really draft
- 16:47Speaker 2: a guard in the twenty Three you make exceptions for
- 16:50Speaker 2: certain for certain, players And i'm not even one hundred
- 16:54Speaker 2: percent certain that.
- 16:55Speaker 1: He would even be on the board of twenty.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Three but he's the kind of quality of player that
- 16:59Speaker 2: you don't hesitate to take him if he's there at twenty,
- 17:02Speaker 2: three and if you like him, enough you trade up
- 17:05Speaker 2: to get, him BECAUSE i think he's going to be
- 17:08Speaker 2: an immediate impact type of guy where you see the,
- 17:12Speaker 2: power you see the. Athleticism he can step right in
- 17:16Speaker 2: and he could be your right guard next, season and
- 17:19Speaker 2: that would be a significant, upside significant UPGRADE i should.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Say Over Tyler. Steen and, yeah this is really really.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Fun if you have a chance to watch his tape
- 17:30Speaker 2: it's a blast to watch him just sort of steamroll
- 17:34Speaker 2: defensive lineman or wash them. Down And, yeah that's just
- 17:39Speaker 2: somebody THAT i think has a really really high potential
- 17:42Speaker 2: at the next level and will BE i don't want
- 17:46Speaker 2: to be too strong on, it BUT i hope be
- 17:47Speaker 2: a pro. Bowler he'lle be a pro. Bowler wouldn't surprise
- 17:50Speaker 2: me if he's a rookie pro. Bowler Jalen, kilgore defensive
- 17:53Speaker 2: back From South carolina is another player who, visited and
- 17:57Speaker 2: it's kind of hard to peg what he is because
- 17:59Speaker 2: he can play, nickel we can play. Safety do you
- 18:02Speaker 2: like the multifaceted skill, set the hybrid ability that he.
- 18:08Speaker 2: BRINGS i, mean he had eight interceptions in three, seasons
- 18:14Speaker 2: so the ball productions there not one of my favorite.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Safeties If i'm looking at someone in a similar, TIER
- 18:22Speaker 2: i LIKE. Zakei wheatley From Penn state a little bit,
- 18:24Speaker 2: more And Michael taff From TEXAS i actually like him
- 18:29Speaker 2: a little bit more as, well just about how their
- 18:32Speaker 2: skill set and fit would translate to the pro. Level
- 18:36Speaker 2: that's just my personal, opinion but that's Where I'm that's
- 18:39Speaker 2: Where i'm leaning with it right. Now, yeah that's the
- 18:42Speaker 2: that's the group right. Now i'm sure there will be. Other,
- 18:44Speaker 2: OH i don't want to Forget Tradon, stukes defensive back From,
- 18:48Speaker 2: arizona longer, player six to one and ninety. Pounds he
- 18:54Speaker 2: can play that interior defensive back as a, nickel he,
- 19:00Speaker 2: could he could play.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Safety he would like to see him gain a little
- 19:04Speaker 1: bit of weight for.
- 19:04Speaker 2: That he's a leaner build and he's also a little bit,
- 19:08Speaker 2: older but productive player and a really good story.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Coming out Of.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Arizona so that's that's the group of players who have.
- 19:17Speaker 2: VISITED i don't BELIEVE i missed, anyone And i'm sure
- 19:20Speaker 2: there will be other names to trickle, In but just
