- 0:47Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister and Dana Roselli here, as Vegas really gets fired up with a lot of fall events.
- 0:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, last week you were talking about how football season is bringing a lot into town, obviously, during the fall months and winter too.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: And um then we started looking at the calendar, going, well, there's also a lot going on even outside of football.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: Um, just this upcoming weekend, Mexican Independence Day weekend, there's events all over the place at the Grand Canal shops, the fashion show, resorts world, up and down the strip that there are too many to mention.
- 1:22Dayna Roselli: So we just want you to know you'll you need to search around and figure out.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: But there's lots of little pop-ups, different events, mariachi, all sorts of different things happening in our hotel resorts, and that's awesome.
- 1:36Dayna Roselli: Also, Ricky Martin's gonna be at the Coliseum, Pitbull's back at Fountain Blue.
- 1:40Sean McAllister: Yeah, lots of uh music events, festivals, restaurants uh always offer uh a bunch of fun uh promotional deals uh for Mexican Independence Day weekend, too.
- 1:53Sean McAllister: Nightclubs always have big events.
- 1:55Sean McAllister: Um, so it is it is jam-packed, and then the craziness.
- 2:01Sean McAllister: You know what else is Mexican independent?
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: You know what else is Mexican Independence Day weekend?
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: What?
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: My 50th birthday.
- 2:06Sean McAllister: Happy birthday!
- 2:09Dayna Roselli: Every year it falls on that weekend, so yeah.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: I mean, I just thought it was kind of funny.
- 2:13Dayna Roselli: I was like, oh, um, that's interesting.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: Um, there's always a lot going on.
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: Like Ricky Martin's coming into town for my birthday, pit bull, all my favorites.
- 2:23Dayna Roselli: All for you.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: It's all for your birthday, right?
- 2:25Dayna Roselli: So we're actually recording this a little early because I've got my mom coming into town and things going on and out-of-town work trip.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: So anyway, FYI, um, feel free to send me a text.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: It's in the show notes.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: I am not a birthday person, but I'm trying to be more open about it because everyone yells me.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: It yells at me.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: They're like, why don't you ever want to celebrate your birthday?
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: Why don't you ever want to make it a big deal?
- 2:46Dayna Roselli: You're turning 50.
- 2:47Dayna Roselli: I'm like, I don't care.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: Listen, it's been a rough year.
- 2:49Dayna Roselli: I'm not really in the celebratory mood this year, but then again, I feel like I say that every year.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: So anyway, if you want to send me a text, feel free.
- 2:57Dayna Roselli: We have the link in our show notes.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: I would love a happy birthday text.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: We'll welcome the birthday wishes.
- 3:03Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: Okay, go ahead.
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: You were going on to the next weekend, September 19th.
- 3:07Sean McAllister: Well, I was gonna say there's a lot coming up uh next weekend also, but before we get into that, there's a big change coming, a casino that is closed, which is a familiar site to a lot of people who drive into Las Vegas from Southern California.
- 3:24Sean McAllister: And we're talking about the casinos that you drive past when you go through Prim.
- 3:30Sean McAllister: And that's right at the California-Nevada state line.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: And yeah, we're talking about, well, because and the reason that we were thinking about this is we had recently, you know, saw an alert that Clark County, that's the county that we live in in Las Vegas, is in, um, approved the hotel casino's temporary closure.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: We're talking about Buffalo Bills.
- 3:48Dayna Roselli: And a lot of people stop there.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: They have a lot of events there, they even have that famous roller coaster there.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, the future of that roller coaster is kind of up in the air.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: Literally, literally up in the air.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: What's it called?
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: It's called something.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: The uh it's like the Diablo Desperado.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: The Desperado.
- 4:08Sean McAllister: There we go.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's the tallest roller coaster in the world with a 209-foot hill.
- 4:14Sean McAllister: Which for roller coaster aficionados who travel around the world and around the country looking for like thrilling roller coaster rides, this ranked up there for years and years.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: It reaches uh 80 miles per hour.
- 4:30Sean McAllister: Jeez.
- 4:31Dayna Roselli: I didn't know they had an adventure canyon log flume ride in there, too.
- 4:36Sean McAllister: I did not know that either.
- 4:37Dayna Roselli: But my brother uh is a roller coaster aficionado, and he was in Vegas once visiting me, and he said I'm driving down to Prim to go on the Desperado.
- 4:47Dayna Roselli: And so he went alone.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: So yeah, you're right.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 4:51Sean McAllister: It is a big deal.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: Anyway, Buffalo Bills is temporarily closing for two years, but it's gonna have some times when it's open, right?
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: Because they're still doing shows at the arena there every now and then.
- 5:03Sean McAllister: The Star of the Desert Arena is going to stay open and operational.
- 5:08Sean McAllister: Um, and as part of this temporary closure thing, they'll reopen portions of the property when they do big events.
- 5:18Sean McAllister: And I think for gaming control board uh regulatory reasons, they have to stay open for a certain amount of time throughout the year in order to keep the gaming license and all that kind of stuff.
- 5:31Sean McAllister: So uh this is they're shutting down the regular operations because especially during midweek, the operators say that the traffic coming um in and out of Nevada uh in California has just really slowed down midweek, and it's mainly weekend traffic coming in and out now.
- 5:53Sean McAllister: So that's the reason that they've seen the dip in that regular, every single day traffic, and they just don't have the demand to stay open 24-7 like they have in the past.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: That makes sense.
- 6:06Dayna Roselli: And I think what across from it is Whiskey Pete's.
- 6:10Sean McAllister: And that's been closed.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: So that's a bummer.
- 6:13Sean McAllister: So I remember going to uh a show at Whiskey Pete's.
- 6:18Sean McAllister: Uh one of my friends was a performer in the show that they did in the lounge.
- 6:24Dayna Roselli: What kind of show was it?
- 6:25Sean McAllister: Well, it was like a um I I would say it was like kind of a burlesque kind of show.
- 6:32Sean McAllister: Right.
- 6:32Sean McAllister: Like not it's not like uh strippers.
- 6:35Sean McAllister: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:35Sean McAllister: You know, like a sexy lounge kind of show.
- 6:39Sean McAllister: But um he was dressed in a a big cat costume.
- 6:43Sean McAllister: He was like the Tom Cat.
- 6:44Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, how funny! I love that.
- 6:49Sean McAllister: So I mean I drove out to Whiskey Pete's a few times.
- 6:52Sean McAllister: Oh my god, that was fun.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so I guess Whiskey Pete's closed in December.
- 6:58Sean McAllister: But and then just this past summer is when uh they decided that uh Buffalo Bills was not going to stay open 24-7 like it has.
- 7:09Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:10Sean McAllister: Scale back the operations there.
- 7:12Sean McAllister: But like you said, special events, concerts still happening out there.
- 7:17Sean McAllister: Um and you know, they got a deal, they got this approval to do the temporary closure for two years.
- 7:25Sean McAllister: They may extend for six months after that, but that's that's where it is now.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: They need the traffic to pick up and then they'll reopen.
- 7:34Sean McAllister: They need they need people to drive out there for more than Powerball tickets.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 7:38Dayna Roselli: And then by by that time, we might have that high-speed train.
- 7:41Sean McAllister: It very well may, which, you know.
- 7:43Dayna Roselli: Which could hurt them.
- 7:45Sean McAllister: Which will bypass Buffalo Bills and Whiskey Pete.
- 7:49Sean McAllister: Unless there's a stop.
- 7:51Dayna Roselli: Bill and Pete need to find a new job.
- 7:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, they do.
- 7:54Sean McAllister: Oh, poor Bill and Pete.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: Oh man.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: Well, moving on to the weekend of the 19th.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: As we said, a lot's going on.
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: Just a big heads up for your calendar.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: The iHeart Radio Music Festival is back in town at T-Mobile.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: That will take place for two days, the 19th and 20th.
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: Revel Wees Food Fest is coming back to the win.
- 8:12Dayna Roselli: We're excited to go to that on the 20th.
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: They have that huge um outdoor Grand Feast.
- 8:19Dayna Roselli: Grand Feast.
- 8:20Dayna Roselli: It's so much fun.
- 8:21Dayna Roselli: Um, Frank Marino doing his final shows over at Virgin and celebrating 40 years here in Las Vegas.
- 8:28Dayna Roselli: We're actually heading over to talk to him about a lot of old Vegas stories and which that's a big deal.
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: It is a big deal.
- 8:34Sean McAllister: Frank's final Vegas shows.
- 8:37Dayna Roselli: I listen, if Frank's listening, Frank, I just I can never see Frank doing a final show in Vegas.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: I feel like he's gonna be the the Cher that's gonna come back in a couple years or a year because he can't stand sitting still.
- 8:53Sean McAllister: But by the way, I just saw uh a headline that Cher is hinting at another tour.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: Another farewell tour?
- 9:00Sean McAllister: Another farewell tour.
- 9:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, but no, Frank, I think, is looking to um, you know, stop performing fully, and especially like, you know, for the shows that, you know, or the ones that he runs and stuff.
- 9:13Dayna Roselli: But I think he would be a part of like he he casts his own shows and stuff.
- 9:17Dayna Roselli: And you know, Frank has fem uh impersonators um in drag, and it's really fun.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: All the hits you can't help but love his cast of characters that he has, and then uh obviously Frank has dressed as and performed as Joan Rivers for years and years and years, and so he's a staple here, and and people know him all around the country and world.
- 9:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, he was I mean, he was in uh Lakage over at the Riviera for years, yeah.
- 9:47Sean McAllister: And you know, then went and launched his own shows after that.
- 9:52Sean McAllister: He's been, like you said, a staple.
- 9:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, and has what two stars on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars, I think.
- 9:59Dayna Roselli: So, which he'd likes to tell you about every time.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: Listen, uh, we'll savor more about Frank when we interview him.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: He is a great interview and so much history and so much fun.
- 10:09Dayna Roselli: So we'll ask him about his two stars.
- 10:10Dayna Roselli: Actually, we'll plan it now.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: Everyone listening, we're gonna ask Frank about his two stars in the interview coming up, and then we'll we'll have his reaction.
- 10:18Dayna Roselli: He really likes to talk about his two stars.
- 10:20Sean McAllister: Hey, that's a big deal.
- 10:21Sean McAllister: It is a big two stars.
- 10:23Dayna Roselli: He's the best.
- 10:23Dayna Roselli: Love him.
- 10:24Sean McAllister: Uh, in addition to Frank's Final Vegas shows, maybe uh A-Fan's black and white ball is happening over at uh the Palms.
- 10:34Sean McAllister: Um, this is a big event every single year.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: Uh A-Fan is Aid for AIDS of Nevada.
- 10:39Sean McAllister: It's a huge fundraiser.
- 10:41Sean McAllister: As the the name implies, the dress theme is black and white.
- 10:45Sean McAllister: This year it's a uh Western cowboy theme.
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: So it'll be fun to see the outfits that people put together.
- 10:54Sean McAllister: They rank the I mean the outfits that people wear to this uh event are crazy over the top, inventive.
- 11:02Sean McAllister: Some are risque and barely there.
- 11:06Dayna Roselli: Oh, I'm looking at the website right now.
- 11:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: There's a sample of an outfit.
- 11:13Sean McAllister: A sample of an outfit.
- 11:15Dayna Roselli: Here it is.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: Look.
- 11:17Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah, those are samples of outfits, yeah.
- 11:20Dayna Roselli: Nice chaps, but it's a cowboy theme.
- 11:22Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 11:22Dayna Roselli: Um, anyway, uh it's September 20th at the Palms over at Chaos, which is great.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: You know, the Chaos at the Palms used to be a nightclub, but they use that space for events, and it's great.
- 11:32Sean McAllister: Yeah, indoor-outdoor kind of space.
- 11:34Dayna Roselli: So that should be fun.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: Get tickets if you've never been, like Sean said, the outfits are over the top, it's a good old time.
- 11:40Sean McAllister: So if you are uh in town the weekend of September 19th, there is not going to be a shortage of things to do and keep you occupied.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: Uh and then as we head into October, Dana, you are um kind of moderating a special event over at Wynn with the pasta queen.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: I'm really excited about this.
- 12:07Dayna Roselli: First of all, when they said, Will you interview the pasta queen?
- 12:10Dayna Roselli: I'm like, I mean, come on.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: Oh, what I'm Italian, of course.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: Um, but I was like, there's another pasta queen other than my my mother and her cooking.
- 12:18Dayna Roselli: So anyway, uh Nadia Muno, she is amazing.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: Follow her on social media if you don't know who she is.
- 12:25Dayna Roselli: Nadia Katerina Muno.
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: She's known as the pasta queen.
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: Her videos go viral all the time.
- 12:32Dayna Roselli: Her recipes are amazing, and the way she does it is really fun and engaging.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: Um, she has an Amazon Prime cooking and travel series too, and she has like best-selling cookbooks.
- 12:45Dayna Roselli: And so she's gonna be in town at the win.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: She's doing uh actually a cooking demonstration, but then we're doing an event inside the theater at uh Wynn at 3 p.m.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: on October 2nd.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: You can get tickets online where she's just yeah, we're gonna talk, we're gonna engage, we're gonna talk about her cooking style, we're gonna talk about her, her life, her recipes, and the all the audience is getting a cookbook, her latest cookbook as part of their ticket.
- 13:13Sean McAllister: I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of talking with hands going on.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: Tons of talking with hands.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's gonna be really fun.
- 13:19Dayna Roselli: I cannot wait.
- 13:20Dayna Roselli: She is a riot.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: I have my mom following her now, and she's like, I love Nadia, she's so funny.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: She always likes tastes her recipe, then she like throws her spoon and fork, then she flips her hair and she's like, ingredients, and then she's the ghost through and tells you how to make it.
- 13:36Sean McAllister: She's amazing, and she's always dressed to the nines in all of her videos, too.
- 13:40Dayna Roselli: Of course, I love it.
- 13:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, that'll be fun.
- 13:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, a celebrated uh Italian chef, and I think it's gonna be fun to have her here in Las Vegas for this.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna be good, and then I think tickets will go pretty fast.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: But again, ticket holders do receive a copy of her latest cookbook, so um you know, if you want that, that's kind of a cool thing.
- 14:00Dayna Roselli: And I think tickets are a hundred bucks.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: I think if they're all a hundred, I don't think that they vary, but um, you can get tickets uh right through the wins website, you'll see.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: So there you have it.
- 14:10Sean McAllister: That'll be a great event.
- 14:11Sean McAllister: Looking forward to that.
- 14:13Sean McAllister: Uh hey, recently we stopped down to the Link Hotel and Casino where uh Magician Matt Franco is celebrating ten years of performances on the Las Vegas strip.
- 14:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's a long time, right?
- 14:29Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, you know, we say this all the time when we talk about people who celebrate five years, ten years.
- 14:36Dayna Roselli: I mean, it it it we don't talk about it often because it is rare to be in one spot for that long, and it's quite an achievement.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: And you know, Matt Franco won America's Got Talent, and part of that deal, right, is you get a show in Las Vegas.
- 14:50Dayna Roselli: But I and I don't know if this is right, but now I'm not gonna go into it.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: I was gonna say, I thought originally, because I want to say when Terry Fader won, wasn't it like you get a guaranteed year?
- 15:01Sean McAllister: I think more of uh you get a a show on the Las Vegas strip, and I think that it's changed okay, it changed over the years.
- 15:12Sean McAllister: I think maybe you get to headline on the Las Vegas strip, like as in like one performance.
- 15:18Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay, got it.
- 15:20Sean McAllister: And then they had America's Got Talent live on stage here for a while, where a lot of uh winners over the years passed through.
- 15:29Sean McAllister: Um, but Matt and Terry Franco, Matt uh Matt Franco and Terry Fader are two of the biggest success stories that came out of America's Got Talent because they have had consistently uh long-running shows based off of their their win on that show.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:49Dayna Roselli: I mean Matt won in 2014, season nine.
- 15:54Dayna Roselli: So, and Terry won before that.
- 15:56Dayna Roselli: He was one of the first winners of the show.
- 15:57Sean McAllister: Season two, I think.
- 15:58Dayna Roselli: You're right, though.
- 15:58Dayna Roselli: They that's two huge success stories.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: It's pretty incredible.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: We went over and talked to Matt Franco.
- 16:04Dayna Roselli: I don't know if you've ever seen his show, and if you haven't, you probably want to go see it.
- 16:08Dayna Roselli: Um Matt Franco, Magic Reinvented Nightly is at the link.
- 16:13Dayna Roselli: We stopped in and talked to Matt about his success and, you know, celebrating 10 years.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: It's amazing.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: Life itself is like a whole pinch me moment because I grew up watching Magic on TV and all those specials were filmed here in Vegas.
- 16:29Dayna Roselli: Did you think I'm gonna go in and do a couple years, or I'm gonna go here and build my life?
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: I I really had no idea.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: So many opportunities come after a moment like that.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: So for me, it was kind of just like, let me ride the wave and see where it takes me.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: And I just ended up loving this so much.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: Just being able to go out on stage nightly and to have every show be different because I do so much crowd work and improvisation with the audience.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: So to have like a set place to be able to do that, and for a magician, the alternative is touring constantly.
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: So to be able to set up in one place, especially now starting a family, have two little ones at home, so a two-year-old and a newborn, uh, it makes it really amazing to be able to just tame one spot.
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: Magic is an interesting niche, although it's always been kind of a magic capital here in Vegas.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: And I love that.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: It's like if you just feel lucky to be part of the club, because this is where all the best magic comes and lands ultimately.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: And it's not like you see in the movies, like in The Prestige, when you have Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman battling each other.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: We're actually all really pretty great friends.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: So it's cool to have that camaraderie.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: And I I like that about the magic community.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: It's so small, you can really meet your heroes, which is cool.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: Well, and you do a lot of storytelling, I was gonna say.
- 17:42Dayna Roselli: It really is a show because you're not just gonna come and get bang bang bam.
- 17:45Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's a story behind things.
- 17:46Dayna Roselli: You talk about also your career.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and my family.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: It's a it's a true family show, so it's great for a date night.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: Apparently, it's great for bachelor parties and bachelorette parties because we get them all the time.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: Apparently.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: I don't know, maybe they think of magic mic.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure.
- 18:00Dayna Roselli: Magic mat.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: So I clarify magic mat and make sure they're in the right place.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: Um, but it's also it really is truly fun for the whole family.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: It's it's there's nothing in the show that's you have to worry about your kids being there for.
- 18:12Dayna Roselli: How has your show evolved over the years?
- 18:14Dayna Roselli: Um, did you start it one way and you feel like this works better, or the audience really likes this?
- 18:19Dayna Roselli: Are you always changing it?
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: It's had many lives over the past 10 years.
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: I always just want to keep it modern and fresh.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: So a great idea that I had in 2018.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: I I look back at it maybe two years later and go, oh, I should change this or that.
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: So it's always evolving.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: I'm always trying to make our crew laugh, always trying to keep our audience guessing what's next because we have so many people that come back all the time.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: So thankful to have locals that like we're the show that whenever they have guests in town, they bring them.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: And we're so thankful for that.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: And also want it to be good for them, but also for people who still haven't gotten to the show.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: I still meet people that go, Oh my god, it's 10 years.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: I still need to come see your show.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: Well, lucky for you, we're not going anywhere.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: Come see us.
- 19:02Sean McAllister: That was a great conversation with Matt.
- 19:04Sean McAllister: Congratulations to Matt and everyone involved with his show on 10 years.
- 19:09Sean McAllister: And one thing I will say is that Matt does a really good job of making his illusions and tricks feel new and fresh, incorporating new technology that we all use now, phones and tablets and all that kind of stuff.
- 19:27Sean McAllister: Um, it it just he gives magic a really fresh feel.
- 19:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he really does.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: And he always has a great ending.
- 19:36Sean McAllister: He does, right?
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: It's always like that hue.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: Like if you didn't wow enough, you're like, wow, at the end.
- 19:42Sean McAllister: So I was wowed when he kept making wine appear.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: I remember you saying that.
- 19:48Sean McAllister: Man, wine wine bottle after wine bottle after wine bottle.
- 19:51Sean McAllister: I loved it.
- 19:52Dayna Roselli: I know, that was cool.
- 19:53Dayna Roselli: And I don't even know if he's still because he does change it up all the time.
- 19:56Dayna Roselli: He does.
- 19:56Sean McAllister: I don't know if that's still on the show, but he can come to a dinner party at my house and do that trick.
- 20:02unknown: Right.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: That's funny.
- 20:04Dayna Roselli: All right, let's do some tips.
- 20:08Dayna Roselli: Hey, Sean, I wanted to do this as a tip, but I'm always worried that tickets are sold out already by the time that this runs.
- 20:15Dayna Roselli: So I'm gonna tell you about this deal, but there could be a possibility that tickets are gone for Ashley Simpson.
- 20:25Dayna Roselli: What I'm talking about is a locals deal.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: So Las Vegas locals, listen up.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: You can get 20% off tickets for her performance on Wednesday, September 24th only.
- 20:36Dayna Roselli: They're doing a little special there, and it's her I am me residency over at Voltaire.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: She sold out Labor Day weekend and added more shows in September, but they wanted to do this um Nevada residence with a valid Nevada ID deal for a lot of the locals here.
- 20:55Dayna Roselli: And so I think it's a great idea.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: It gives everyone a chance to go see her.
- 20:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, 20% off tickets.
- 21:00Sean McAllister: You can get them at voltairelv.com, but you have to use the code SIM2025 local offers.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: All one word.
- 21:12Sean McAllister: All one word.
- 21:13Sean McAllister: That's a code.
- 21:13Sean McAllister: SIM SIM 2025 Local Offers.
- 21:18Sean McAllister: If you want 20% off tickets to that performance on Wednesday, September 24th.
- 21:24Sean McAllister: And as Dana mentioned, the tickets are in limited supply.
- 21:28Sean McAllister: They may or may not still be available by at your own discretion.
- 21:33Dayna Roselli: Is that our disclaimer?
- 21:34Sean McAllister: That is our disclaimer.
- 21:35Dayna Roselli: Oh yeah.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: She hasn't done a full-length live show since 2008, so I know it's a big deal for her.
- 21:39Dayna Roselli: And I did see some reviews online of different people saying it was everything that they had hoped for and imagined.
- 21:45Sean McAllister: She sang all her hits and well, listen, there are a ton of people who are Ashley Simpson fans who were big fans when you know her songs first came out off of this album.
- 21:56Sean McAllister: And they're going back, you know, it's that whole nostalgia thing that we've been talking about.
- 22:00Sean McAllister: About for just about everything that's happening in Las Vegas right now.
- 22:03Sean McAllister: Right.
- 22:03Sean McAllister: And the videos from the show, like her fans are just absolutely loving it.
- 22:09Sean McAllister: And Jessica came in.
- 22:10Sean McAllister: And Jessica was there.
- 22:12Dayna Roselli: She was seen flying on a plane with her husband.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: Is her ex-husband?
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, there's whole sorts of celebrity.
- 22:19Dayna Roselli: Whatever.
- 22:20Dayna Roselli: Sometimes I'm like, oh, we can't talk about that.
- 22:22Dayna Roselli: We're not a celebrity gossip show.
- 22:25Dayna Roselli: You know.
- 22:26Dayna Roselli: We could.
- 22:27Sean McAllister: We could have we could have uh special editions of Vegas revealed.
- 22:31Dayna Roselli: Like celebrity gossip with a Vegas twist.
- 22:33Sean McAllister: There we go.
- 22:34Dayna Roselli: That's kind of like a that's kind of cool, that name, because it's like a cocktail.
- 22:38Sean McAllister: Oh, with a twist.
- 22:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 22:40Dayna Roselli: Instead of tips, we could do it's time for celebrity gossip with a Vegas twist.
- 22:45Sean McAllister: Oh.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: And then a little sound effect.
- 22:47Sean McAllister: Copy my copyright trademark.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: Yes, copyright.
- 22:50Sean McAllister: Stamp it right now.
- 22:52Sean McAllister: Hey, uh, we wanted to let you know about another uh deal that's happening right now through the end of September, through September 30th.
- 23:00Sean McAllister: This is happening over at Virgin Hotels.
- 23:03Sean McAllister: This is their 555 deal.
- 23:06Sean McAllister: So what does 555 mean?
- 23:08Sean McAllister: What?
- 23:09Sean McAllister: Well, let me tell you, Dana.
- 23:10Sean McAllister: It's five dollar tacos at uh Lucia Mexican Grill, five dollar Jose Cuervo tequila shots, also over there, and the casino bars too.
- 23:23Sean McAllister: And the casino bars, and five dollar live blackjack tables.
- 23:28Dayna Roselli: That's fun.
- 23:30Sean McAllister: Five, five, five.
- 23:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I like that.
- 23:32Dayna Roselli: And that's really good for people who just want to play blackjack, learn to maybe you're not super confident and you're not ready to lay down 50 bucks.
- 23:39Sean McAllister: Right.

- 23:42Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: I like five five five.
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: Can we have five five five everywhere?

- 23:58Sean McAllister: See, I would do it the other way.
- 23:59Sean McAllister: I would do a five dollar taco.
- 24:01Sean McAllister: Okay, then do the shot.
- 24:02Sean McAllister: So I had something to soak up the shot a little bit.
- 24:05Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 24:06Sean McAllister: And then do another taco and then play blackjack.
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: Okay, so you'd only do one shot, you're lying.
- 24:10Dayna Roselli: It's such a lie.
- 24:11Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 24:13Sean McAllister: God's honest truth.
- 24:15Sean McAllister: Shots are not my friends.
- 24:17Dayna Roselli: Okay, yeah.
- 24:17Sean McAllister: You things go downhill really quick with shots.
- 24:20Dayna Roselli: Good to know.
- 24:21Sean McAllister: I could have cocktails and beers all day and all night, but nope, shots do me in.

- 26:23Dayna Roselli: It was such a big deal.
- 26:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:25Dayna Roselli: It was like, wow, you're 50.
- 26:28Dayna Roselli: I remember over the hill.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: I feel like it's changed over the years.
- 26:32Dayna Roselli: It has.
- 26:32Dayna Roselli: Right?
- 26:33Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 26:33Sean McAllister: I remember hanging up like the black crepe paper streamers.
- 26:37Dayna Roselli: We had a birthday party for my dad.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: It was surprise birthday party.
- 26:42Dayna Roselli: I mean, the whole place, all his work friends and all these people in the neighborhood, that everyone got hammered.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: Sue Crow was dancing on the bar from down the road.
- 26:54Sean McAllister: Classic Sue.
- 26:57Dayna Roselli: It was quite a night there in downtown Rochester.
- 27:02Sean McAllister: Well, I knew you'd like that one.
- 27:04Dayna Roselli: I did that especially to set you up because I knew you'd laugh that I said just because whenever I say a random name and it has a funny story to do with it, Sean thinks it's funny.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: Anyway, have we?
- 27:17Sean McAllister: Well, we'll see how your birthday measures up to dad's.
- 27:21Dayna Roselli: We will.
