- 0:05Hello folks, this is Princess you are listening to the
- 0:09millennial Mustard Seed, pod casts.
- 0:11Thanks for listening. Don't forget to share with your
- 0:13friends. I stopped wearing a very tough
- 0:17spot. I think that what we're doing
- 0:19right now is a great benefit and virtue because it's an
- 0:24end-around between this whole corrupt informational system
- 0:28media system. We claim to believe in a God who
- 0:31spoke the universe into existence and literally raised
- 0:35himself from the dead and yet, we're not going to believe that
- 0:39anything else exists in the spirit realm, even though his
- 0:42word tells us that they do, their bodies weren't permitted
- 0:46to go to sleep, like humans, do and there were permitted to go
- 0:50to heaven. So they wander the Earth, you
- 0:54know, I've seen the eyes turned black to unknown tongues being
- 0:57spoken. These Giants will love way up in
- 1:01the home. We out Graves.
- 1:03The young man was hiding in the trees and wait for one of these
- 1:0612 Footers to come walking down the path and they would kill
- 1:10him, Dragon back. Then people start to get
- 1:21weapons, I start to get armor, they start to build cities.
- 1:23They saw the fortify their cities now, God looks down, and
- 1:26there's violence everywhere. The battle this war that we are
- 1:31at, is not against each other. It's against these
- 1:33principalities in these rulers in, these are cons in high
- 1:36places. It's really worthwhile to read
- 1:39the Bible years, fear is one of the primary drivers of mind
- 1:43control because we have to take every thought captive and
- 1:47resist. Fear.
- 1:51You're going to have a testimony that is a Justice case against
- 1:56the kingdom of darkness. Welcome back to the millennial
- 2:09Mustard Seed pod cast, I have an excellent episode in store for
- 2:14you guys. Pastor, Sean Conroy is here he

- 3:22this episode. I'm not going to waste any more
- 3:23time. Are you guys ready?
- 3:27Let's go. Hey, how are you to Sean
- 3:47O'Connell from the follicle cells podcast and I'm here on
- 3:49millennial Mustard Seed. He's a verification.
- 3:52That's a good old intro, Sean. It's good to have you here with
- 3:55me, man. Thank It's good to be here.
- 3:57I'll tell you what, man? Wife has been crazy.
- 4:00So, trying to get the word out and be with the another brother
- 4:04in Christ, man, this just makes that makes my day.
- 4:07There's something about when we dwell together in unity and
- 4:10other people being aware of who's who, where we're at.
- 4:13And what's going on? I think is so important.
- 4:16Just kind of walk us into your upbringing what brought you to
- 4:19Christ and to everything that you're doing today.
- 4:23Sure. So I was born and raised.
- 4:26Boston, Massachusetts, born and raised Roman Catholic, which we
- 4:33could talk about for a whole episode by itself, but nothing
- 4:36against them. It's just, I don't, you know,
- 4:39we're gonna have disagreements across the board as correct as
- 4:41Christians but some mom. So that was my early life, my
- 4:46grandmother was always a huge spiritual part of my life as a
- 4:48kid. She's the one that took me to
- 4:50church. She's the one that taught me
- 4:51about Christ. She's the one talking about the
- 4:52Lord and so I did that for years.
- 4:56Ears. And then when I was 16, my
- 4:59mother got sick. She got cancer, and she passed
- 5:02away, and when you believe and there's nobody here on Earth to
- 5:07get mad at, who you get mad at. And for me, I took that out on
- 5:10God and I spent 20 years on my own, trying to figure it out,
- 5:16trying to find a better way, trying to flick.
- 5:17Why would God do this to me? So I just spent years being
- 5:21angry with the Lord. And man that's tough.
- 5:25I'll tell you what. Like that is no way to live,
- 5:27but, you know, God is good. And by his grace we are, we he
- 5:32never gives up on us. He never leaves us like when I
- 5:34look back, now I can see a thousand times that God stepped
- 5:36in on my wife and was like, nope, even though I was mad at
- 5:38him, wasn't talking to him, he still didn't let me get in the
- 5:40trouble, I deserved, but back in 2013, me and the mother of my
- 5:48kids had broken up. We went our separate ways after
- 5:5115 years and I literally went to a six-month drunken coma.
- 5:58I guess is the best way I can put it.
- 5:59I would wake up and drink. I would drink all day at work.
- 6:02I would drink all night. Till I fell asleep and I just, I
- 6:05shut down from the world and I didn't know what to do with
- 6:08myself. And I went out for my birthday
- 6:11into April 2014 and it was my actual birthday and my
- 6:16rebirthday. So in kind of they coincide but
- 6:18I was I was so messed up, I couldn't spell the word car
- 6:22went. Alone drive one and I'm flying
- 6:25down for 20 to do like 120 miles an hour.
- 6:29Steering with my knee. I like a cigarette in my cell.
- 6:32Phone on one hand, i'm talking I had a beer can in the console.
- 6:36I had a bottle of whiskey in my other hand you know just out of
- 6:40control. And when I got down past Oaks on
- 6:45the 422, I was heading east the westbound way like I know like
- 6:50those a spends just passed Ford Just past the Oaks exit.
- 6:56I looked into the left foot in the left lane and which I'm sure
- 7:00none of that is going to make any sense to some of your
- 7:02wisdom, as they have no idea what I'm talking about.
- 7:04Anyway, it's a high area for police.
- 7:07Usually, they're, so it's by the grace of God.
- 7:08I even made it that far as intoxicated as I was.
- 7:12And, but I look over in the westbound Lane heading back
- 7:14towards where I lived, and there's two cars, it's like 2:30
- 7:18in the morning. I was trying to go to the casino
- 7:20because I know the casino serve drinks.
- 7:22True. They start till like 5:00 in the
- 7:24morning. Now that I need another drink
- 7:26but that's what I wanted. And so these two cars were
- 7:29pulled over hazard lights on. I could see the front car their
- 7:31bottom, but they're back bumper was down and the front, the back
- 7:35car, their front bumper was down, I can see there were kids
- 7:37in the car and I could see moms of people upset.
- 7:39So it was April is around like spring break, time for school
- 7:42and I'm thinking two families. I went to Disneyland had a great
- 7:45week, came home a little, jet-lagged had a little fender
- 7:48bender or 2:30 in the morning. Coming home from the airport
- 7:50either I can't verify that. That's my gas as For what had
- 7:53happened. But for me, I'm a numbers guy.
- 7:56Like I crunch numbers and, you know, when a plane leaves Boston
- 8:00at 9 a.m. and the train we've Chicago at 10, a.m. where do
- 8:03they meet a? My thinking was, if I had been
- 8:05coming the other way, doing the same thing at the same time when
- 8:09they had, their little fender bender Ida come through when I
- 8:12to hit them all which was a very eye-opening experience in the
- 8:16moment, you know, because I'm immediately thinking, man, I
- 8:22could have killed all. These people.
- 8:23And so I pulled over just before the Audobon exit about half a
- 8:28mile up the road. And I threw the bottle out the
- 8:31window, I threw the cigarette out, the window, through the
- 8:33beer, can out the window. I probably threw the phone out
- 8:35the window to see through it all out moment.
- 8:38But and I just started to cry. I just started to weep and I I
- 8:45just said, God, I can't do this anymore.
- 8:47I'm done. I know I had before this, I had
- 8:51I had checked out and other religions I had gone to a
- 8:55mosque. So it's that was what I was
- 8:58checking in. Islam was checking a Judaism.
- 9:00I was checking into Buddhist, I don't know if you know this but
- 9:03there is a religion dedicated to the dude from Big Lebowski
- 9:10there's a whole religion related to dudeism but that's what they
- 9:12call it. I looked into that and nothing
- 9:15really seemed to catch my attention but I whoa.
- 9:18Yeah. Like I looked into water.
- 9:19I spent months trying to figure some stuff out and I didn't want
- 9:24to turn back to God. I was still very angry with them
- 9:27and I was like, there's no way there's no way there's got to be
- 9:29another answer and in that moment when I, you know, in a
- 9:34drunken rage and stupor and seeing that, and I said, I just
- 9:37the first First words out of my mouth reward.
- 9:39I can't do this anymore, God, take it.
- 9:41I can't. I cannot do this anymore and
- 9:46That's out there for a couple hours.
- 9:48I'm sure. Just crying and so the sun came
- 9:50up and I got now I drove home. And at that point I was like,
- 9:56okay, this is I got to do something different two weeks
- 10:00later, my brother got married. I was his best, man.
- 10:03A pastor friend of mine that I've known for years and
- 10:06actually I was extremely rude to him.
- 10:08I was his Salah Tarsus. You know, I persecuted him for
- 10:12being a Christian because I was angry with God.
- 10:14And he He officiated the wedding and he kept bugging me for like
- 10:18two days, you know, the rehearsal in the wedding.
- 10:21He's like man, you alright. And I'm like yeah I'm good.
- 10:24Everything's fine again. I was, I was drinking at the
- 10:26wedding and was really messed up and all night had been puppy was
- 10:31like this this prick in the back of my neck.
- 10:33Like something's poking me in the back of the neck saying why
- 10:36are you lying. We'll just tell this man what's
- 10:38goings, your friend, tell him what's going on and I wouldn't
- 10:42but then I got home that night. And I texted my buddy and was
- 10:48just like, no no I'm lying, I'm full of it.
- 10:50Nothing's right, nothing's good. Everything's just kind of going
- 10:54crazy. And so don't like 30 seconds, he
- 10:57messaged me back and says, listen come meet with me
- 10:59tonight. Are you no waiter tonight and my
- 11:02office, you know, where it is around 6:00, we'll meet, we'll
- 11:05talk. And we'll see where things are
- 11:08going and I did I, when I met with them and we did some some,
- 11:12some prayer and just talk And I was able to unload a lot of
- 11:18things that have been bothering me and so at that point, you
- 11:23know, I was crying and a baby most of the meeting and then the
- 11:30end of the conversation, like it is, we're getting ready to like,
- 11:32you know, call it a night. And then we're both going to
- 11:34head home. So it's getting kind of late.
- 11:38I decided to to ask Christ into my heart right there in the
- 11:41moment, had a whole prayer with the Lord and vitamin just it was
- 11:44you got to take over? I just, I have no control, I
- 11:46have no idea what's going on, and I'm just a mess.
- 11:50And so that point I started I met with him for a few more
- 11:54weeks in his office. And then after like, six
- 11:57meetings, I decided to start attending service at Birds
- 12:02Borough Church of the Nazarene that's where he was pastoring at
- 12:04the time and Got there. You know, started started
- 12:10healing and started being filled.
- 12:15And really just getting, you know, the information and the
- 12:18parts of the white, my life that I hadn't been receiving, and it
- 12:21was pretty amazing. And at that point, I had to
- 12:24realize that I had to answer a call in that, I have been
- 12:28receiving since I was a little kid since about 6 or 7 years
- 12:31old, and it was a calling to Pastor the preach and I couldn't
- 12:37ignore it anymore, it was just too much, it was too heavy on
- 12:40me. It was in my heart and on my
- 12:41mind at all times. And so I just gave in and I
- 12:46started the process and it's a whole process.
- 12:48I mean every church has their process and they were issues and
- 12:52bumps. Along the way there was, you
- 12:54know, issues of financial aid for schooling and stuff.
- 12:56And a lot of stuff that, you know, kept me from.
- 13:00But the thing is, I knew that God had me going in the
- 13:03direction he wanted me. So I wasn't going to let me, let
- 13:06me. Down at that point.
- 13:07So just kept moving forward. I kept plugging for and wherever
- 13:10I couldn't get done in the moment like some of the stuff
- 13:12with the government and financial aid and stuff.
- 13:15I had to push past, I had to keep going and then there was a
- 13:18other programs that came along that was able to help out and
- 13:20stuff. So you know, I'm still going
- 13:23along doing doing my process to get ordained.
- 13:27They still have a couple years more classes to do, but I know
- 13:31I'm definitely heading in the right direction now and going
- 13:34where it where God is leading me.
- 13:36That's pretty amazing feeling to know that no matter what you've
- 13:40done, no matter where you've been what you've come from.
- 13:43Even when you don't want God to be in your situation, I don't
- 13:46want to be part of your life, you don't want him to have
- 13:48anything to do with them, he literally will stand there and
- 13:51just wait and just be like, I've been here the whole time but
- 13:55whatever I can do to help you out, that's what I'm here for.
- 13:57And that's just an amazing feeling that, you know, even in
- 14:00the bad times, you've always got Christ in a right there with
- 14:03you. Yeah.
- 14:05That's that's such a powerful testimony.
- 14:07I mean Just listening to everything that you went
- 14:11through, you know, like you lose your mother when you're young,
- 14:14you spend 20 years in the world just chasing everything that was
- 14:18not meant for you and and how enter your grandmother had like
- 14:23kind of like prophesied like she used her her terms from, you
- 14:27know, the Catholic background above what she thought you were
- 14:31going to be. But and, you know, sometimes
- 14:33people around us, they're going to pick up on the fact that
- 14:36there's an anointing on her life even Even though it can look
- 14:40really rough and ugly on the outside and then, you know, you
- 14:43go through this. Like, I mean you're single dad,
- 14:48like you're taking care of your kids.
- 14:51Yeah, if you are literally at this place we're in your
- 14:55testimony or winding down to the end of your way of doing things.
- 15:01And starting to understand the calling and where you are today.
- 15:07I mean it's just fascinating because there's so many people I
- 15:10talk to off air or even on air and it's just like that story
- 15:15shows. Different details, different
- 15:18places different names and different extreme aspects but
- 15:23there's something to it. When the men and women who are
- 15:28being called by the Living, God start to wake up and understand
- 15:34the truth is definitely Stranger Than Fiction.
- 15:36There's something more going on here.
- 15:38I can't keep living the way that I have been living, and it's
- 15:43edifying to hear that because there's there's a listener.
- 15:47Out there, I just know it. I know there's somebody out
- 15:49there who's going to be able to relate to your story.
- 15:52So, showing I want to ask you with the prodigal sons podcast.
- 15:57Now you guys are local to me. I actually moved out of the
- 15:59neighborhood like two months ago, currently residing at an
- 16:03undisclosed location. Still in the Southeastern
- 16:07Pennsylvania area taking that line from l.a.
- 16:09Marzulli. I want to ask you about the
- 16:14show. You got a couple host you guys.
- 16:17Come together. You just kind of rough it and
- 16:19just raw material content. Just expressing what you guys
- 16:25are going through and rustling through all these ideas Brothers
- 16:29together in unity. Tell us tell us about the show.
- 16:32Tell us about your show so I have prodigal sons.
- 16:36Yeah, we've been at it, we started actually during the
- 16:38pandemic March 20 2008 right at the beginning of the pandemic,
- 16:42right? As everything's the everything's
- 16:44hitting the fan so to say God just put it on me like to do.
- 16:51Like a radio show or something. And I went to another gentleman
- 16:53in the church and brought the idea to him like, Hey would you
- 16:55do this with me? And he was on board and I had a
- 16:58there was a radio station down in Conshohocken that a couple
- 17:02Pastor friends of mine ran and we're going to jump in with
- 17:06them. We're going to get a slot time
- 17:07slot on there you know on their at their state and their studio
- 17:12and when I called to get air time, you know they were like
- 17:18hey with some we apologize but we're closing the studio like
- 17:21the rent. Got ridiculous and not willing
- 17:23to work with us. They just don't want us here and
- 17:25things are not going to you know we're shutting everything down.
- 17:28We're actually going to move on from this and it's kind of like
- 17:32it was kind of a gut punch and So, I went back and talk to my
- 17:37pastor and we prayed with over it and I said, you know, pastor
- 17:41Pastor Peter Clark, I said Pete, you know, we really need to, I
- 17:46need to do something, I need to find a way to do this.
- 17:48So I can, you know, you know, anybody in the Nazarene Church.
- 17:51It does something like this and he goes, I don't know anybody,
- 17:53he goes but We have room there was four rooms in the basement
- 17:58of our church that were kind of not used very much, nice clean
- 18:02spaces but just unused, you know, a lot of churches have
- 18:05these unused rooms sometimes we had so like four rooms and so he
- 18:08said you're more than welcome because the church will help
- 18:10purchase equipment and you know, whatever you need, let's get it
- 18:13going. Like I really think this will
- 18:14help especially with this pandemics going on you know you
- 18:18get the word out but you don't have to, you know, people have
- 18:21to come and that you can get just get it out and people can
- 18:23hear this information. So, We announced it at a Sunday
- 18:27service that we were going to look into doing this.
- 18:29And if anybody wanted to help help us build the studio paint,
- 18:32stuff like that. And that afternoon, I got a text
- 18:35from Dave Duncan who's on the show with me.
- 18:39He text and say he was I was a lot of podcast.
- 18:42I'm really like I'd like to be able to help with this if I can
- 18:45like you know, even it's just like a producer or behind the
- 18:48scene stuff and sounds like yeah, man, we're meeting
- 18:51Wednesday night. Come on down and then I spoke to
- 18:53Pastor Tom Vera. And I asked him because I felt
- 18:57like God was calling him into the situation and we had another
- 19:01Gentleman on the show. That started with me John, I
- 19:03immediately went to the idea with and so we said we got
- 19:07started and we started doing the show and things were the first
- 19:12that we met. My son was with me.
- 19:15Was me Dave, this other gentleman, Tom me, and my son
- 19:20and Pastor Pete, and my son or setting up a cell phone and like
- 19:26we have, we really had some bad equipment when we first, we
- 19:30didn't have a whole lot. We had no mixing board from the
- 19:33church. That was kind of beat up and we
- 19:36just got an audio interface like an audio input for four mics and
- 19:39that plugged into an old cellphone that somebody had, and
- 19:42that's what we use. We use an old cellphone and we
- 19:44just went on Facebook live, and then we downloaded that
- 19:47recording to like my laptop. And then we put that out on
- 19:49anchor to the podcast platforms. But so, we did that.
- 19:54And then we brought another Elijah Griffin.
- 19:56Who's on the show still who's with us?
- 19:58Now, he's our fourth and you know, we just came up with this
- 20:01idea in the beginning that it was going to be prodigal sons.
- 20:04We were all from different backgrounds and we'd all kind of
- 20:06had that product a wife like me where I was 20 years away from
- 20:10the Lord. And then he brought me back in
- 20:12and all the other for the other three gentlemen also have those
- 20:15kind of similar backstories. So when we prodigal sons and and
- 20:19our motto is Real Real Men, Real Faith, real talk and you know,
- 20:24so we who are who we are. If you met me on the street, I'm
- 20:26the same guy on the show that I am on the street.
- 20:28So these guys, we just, we share our faith and we just want, you
- 20:32know, we're kind of, you know, if you watch the podcast it's
- 20:35like a mix of Impractical Jokers and a couple of pastors.
- 20:40We really, just tell all the jokes and we pick on each other.
- 20:42We're brothers. So we, you know, we pick on each
- 20:45other and if anybody does anything during the week that we
- 20:48find to be funny, you know, somebody does something.
- 20:50So, you know, something, ridiculous, or we bring it up,
- 20:54we talk about it. We don't hold it.
- 20:55Act like, you know, we just we just bring it up.
- 20:58I've had issues where, you know, unfortunately driving is a big
- 21:03pet peeve of mine. I tend to get a little bit of
- 21:05road rage. I get a little aggravated with
- 21:07bad drivers and so like I yell, I know they can't hear me but I
- 21:10yell anyway. And that comes up a lot on the
- 21:12show and you know, because I tell them we tell each other
- 21:16everything so they know. So they always bring it out
- 21:18with, you know, we just, it's really a really good
- 21:20accountability group for me, and for the into the other guys, as
- 21:23well. Keep keep ourselves in check and
- 21:27having that Fellowship to keep us grounded in together and move
- 21:30into forward in the same direction.
- 21:31We're all called to do the same thing with this with this
- 21:33podcast and it's just been amazing.
- 21:36Like I said it's been Shu. It's been almost three years
- 21:40Marshall, be three years and wrote 122 episodes in.
- 21:44And, you know, at one point we're kind of, like, do we do
- 21:48this? Like, is there still more
- 21:49topics? We can talk about, we've been
- 21:50doing this for a long time and then, you know, God's like
- 21:54really all the things that I have in the Bible and you guys
- 21:57are done run coming up with topics, all the things that
- 21:59happen in the world on a daily basis, you guys can't think of a
- 22:02good topic to come up with and sure enough.
- 22:04But we know we went back to the drawing board and came up with a
- 22:06new plan for how we come up. Topics.
- 22:08And so they just keep coming. So it keeps providing and it's
- 22:12been. It's been an amazing experience.
- 22:15Just to be a part of it because we've had people come up.
- 22:18I was in Walmart here by in Exeter kind of near where I live
- 22:22and I have my prodigal sons t-shirt on with our logo on it.
- 22:27And this woman walked up and she's like, oh, I love the
- 22:29shirt. Where did you get it?
- 22:31And I said, oh well and then she looks at me and I started to
- 22:33talk She was awake, you're the guy from the show, her father
- 22:39listens to us. He's a pastor in the reading
- 22:41area and he listens to us and she recognized me because he
- 22:44makes her watch it once in a while that's awesome.
- 22:48Yeah, it was kind of neat like, you know, and she kind of went
- 22:51into, like, how it, how it affect her father's.
- 22:53He was older. She was about my age.
- 22:55I'm in my mid-40s early to mid 40s.
- 22:58She was about my age. I'm going to say she was in her
- 23:00mid to early 30s, honor respect, but she was so her father was An
- 23:05older Pastor, who was kind of, I don't believe he was now fully
- 23:09at the end of his career. But he was kind of at like, the
- 23:11way she was telling me like he was at a point where he was
- 23:13like, considering retiring somehow he found us and he was a
- 23:18couple of, you know, a couple of us are pastors on the show.
- 23:22Dave has reached before, he's not, he's not going forward
- 23:25nature, anybody, preaches. He preaches on a fairly
- 23:27consistent basis, like once or twice a year, three times a
- 23:30year, and he goes to other churches.
- 23:32Other pastors in the district, calling him to preach and It was
- 23:36this older past, it was kind of like listen to us.
- 23:39And by the grace of God, he found a renewed sense of spirit
- 23:43in his calling, which to me, was just mind-blowing to this
- 23:46gentleman, who's been doing it for years.
- 23:49Find something, and us being goofballs, and being ourselves
- 23:52and making jokes, and and being biblical.
- 23:54At the same time, bringing it, bringing in stories and sharing
- 23:58our experiences. But I think that's really what
- 23:59it's about. I mean, if we're not sharing our
- 24:01experiences and we're not talking about the truth of what
- 24:04happens, like, If we just try to make Christianity all sunshine
- 24:08and rainbows, I think we're letting a lot of people down,
- 24:12absolutely, you know, we're feeling new Christians.
- 24:15If we pretend that it's all sunshine and rainbows, and we're
- 24:18not human, like pastor does not mean above, there's nowhere in
- 24:24the in that title, there's nowhere in that, that means
- 24:28above the people. Like, you know, I think
- 24:31sometimes, unfortunately, we tend to put pastors on a
- 24:33pedestal because Because, you know, they're called to preach
- 24:37and they're called to teach and we're called to lead, but that
- 24:41doesn't make. Any any difference to God?
- 24:46We're still almost always showed me love this.
- 24:47Whole the same. And I think sometimes we forget
- 24:50that and we think that sometimes pastors are our God like more
- 24:54holy for some reason. And that's one of the things
- 24:57I've had to learn over the last couple of years and not that
- 25:00I've ever let being a pastor, go to my head but trying to keep
- 25:02people in check like read the Bible, you're a minister just as
- 25:07much as I am, we're all called to Ministry.
- 25:09We're all called to minister to those who don't who do No
- 25:12Christ. So we're all ministers.
- 25:15I've just been asked to speak in front of the congregation.
- 25:17That's the only real difference. I understand.
- 25:20Yes we do. We do you know we hold to a
- 25:22higher respect. You know how higher standard and
- 25:25you want in your lead? But we're all, we're all
- 25:28ministers, we're all supposed to minister.
- 25:30So everybody's job is diminish. There's just a different calling
- 25:35and I think we all have a calling but I think some of us
- 25:37are called to do something just a little bit different.
- 25:39And I think that's a big thing. Remember That We're All in This
- 25:42Road Together. We're all heading in the same
- 25:43direction, and if we forget to stop at the roadside and pick
- 25:48somebody up, Who's down, or at least just talk with them, you
- 25:51know, so they get encouragement along the way.
- 25:52And sometimes we need to share when we're down and get
- 25:57encouragement and be lifted up. I mean, Moses even had Aaron and
- 26:01Hur to lift his arms when he couldn't, when he couldn't hold
- 26:03him up anymore. I think there's a lot of times
- 26:07that we forget his Christians. It's not Sunshine's rainbows and
- 26:09it drags us into a position where we can be drug down
- 26:13because we're Pride Prides a big one you know nobody wants to
- 26:18admit their dirty little secrets or when they're hurt or being
- 26:22bothering. I think we kind of just push
- 26:23that to the side and we pretend like it didn't happen and we
- 26:25don't want to deal with it. And I think that's that's where
- 26:29we missed the point. I think we're in this together.
- 26:33We're families, were brothers and sisters, like there is
- 26:35nothing that has happened in my life that I should not be able
- 26:38to tell you or tell somebody that listens to this podcast or
- 26:42my podcast that you know me and my rose.
- 26:44They could call in Hey, listen, I heard what you said but I
- 26:47don't understand how I can do that and we can talk about that.
- 26:49Tell me what your problems are. You know, for Me, Like Jesus
- 26:54said, my yoke is light and my burden or my yoke is easy.
- 26:58And my burden is light. I think we forget when we start
- 27:02sharing that information, those hard times, the things that are
- 27:05that are beating us up the things that are dragging us
- 27:07down. When we share that, it literally
- 27:09lightens our load. It doesn't make it heavier.
- 27:11It doesn't make it harder to deal with.
- 27:16I've been going through it for the last, you know, six months
- 27:18to a year now, where some things have happened in my life and in
- 27:22my church life, and it just kind of beat me up and Drug me down.
- 27:27And I kind of gave into because, you know, my work as I'm not a,
- 27:31I'm not a paid Pastor, I work a secular job and it's been
- 27:35brutal. It got been one person for I do
- 27:38maintenance work. And I've 66 house in responsible
- 27:40for. So I got burned out in my work
- 27:43life. Send translated over into my
- 27:46spiritual life and my emotional life and it just beat me down
- 27:49and beat me down. Instead of going to my brothers
- 27:52and sisters, instead of going to my pastor and I just kept
- 27:55thinking, man, I'll get through this, I just gotta carry me
- 27:57through this God will bring me the in.
- 27:58God does bring us through it, don't get there.
- 28:00Were days that I should have been able to take it.
- 28:02Two steps out my front door, but he kept me going.
- 28:04But if we're not sharing our burdens with one another, if
- 28:07we're not leaning on one another, if we're not sharing
- 28:10our experiences so other people can, you know can be brought up
- 28:13through something that we've shared.
- 28:14Are so, maybe they don't hit those.
- 28:16Those bumps in the road that we do it.
- 28:19Did that makes our journey so much more difficult and the
- 28:23problem is you can't see spiritual warfare, so when you
- 28:25let something affect you and it's it's there, the enemy will
- 28:30use that and sometimes the enemy doesn't matter.
- 28:32Sometimes the stuff that we do has nothing to do with the
- 28:34Enemy. We beat ourselves up more than
- 28:37the denim. We will half the time.
- 28:38Anyway, we are harder on ourselves and we get ourselves
- 28:41in a more trouble than the enemy.
- 28:42Ever will have to have his job is done.
- 28:44Sometimes, It's because of what we think inside our own heads,
- 28:47where owners, worst enemy, sometimes, but spiritual for is
- 28:50real. And when you start to, for me, I
- 28:53know, I was fighting it because I wasn't sharing, because I
- 28:56wasn't leaning in. I hadn't been attending church
- 29:00for four weeks, and when you start to disconnect, you start
- 29:03to recluse yourself. God doesn't walk away but it's a
- 29:07lot harder for the Holy Spirit to work through you into work
- 29:10through other people with you to help lift you up and encourage
- 29:13you, because they don't know what's going on because you're
- 29:14not sharing and for me, that's what I did.
- 29:16And it was like, quicksand. Like I was just felt like I was
- 29:18on this island by myself, and it started to sink and I was
- 29:20drowning by myself out there alone.
- 29:23Now we know that's not true, but we know the enemy will take that
- 29:26and he will build upon that. He will be was press into that
- 29:29he'll twist it and manipulate it and makes us just want to say I
- 29:35just want to recluse herself just back off and we run you
- 29:38know a lot like Jonah God gives us this this this task this this
- 29:44process this journey And something happens, and it
- 29:48doesn't go the way we want. Or, you know, somebody says
- 29:51something we didn't like about it.
- 29:52We just we run and we try to hide from it instead of pressing
- 29:56into it. So maybe I can't carry this
- 29:57burden by myself. But if I had asked for help, if
- 30:00I'd reached out how much easier would have been for me to go
- 30:03forward, I wouldn't have been in the whale and the belly of the
- 30:05whale for six months, eight months a year.
- 30:08So there's there's many different seasons in the
- 30:14Christian walk. Oh definitely.
- 30:18And in my experience like there's there's definitely times
- 30:22where we're meant to be in the desert Because God doesn't want
- 30:26any other voices in her head other than his?
- 30:29And then there's times where it's, like, and I mentioned this
- 30:32on another episode. Where's like when David in the
- 30:34men come in and they're out, they're exposing the enemy like
- 30:41Warfare and they come in and they eat the showbread off the
- 30:44table because they're like, look were starving.
- 30:46And I think with the body of Christ, well, like we need to
- 30:49like see it from this aspect of like when a brother comes in
- 30:53from the desert. Bert, who's got the gift of
- 30:56healing, the gift of servitude, right?
- 30:59Or because we might need some wounds wrapped.
- 31:03And then who's, you know, the encourager and there should be
- 31:07many. Many of those gifts within the
- 31:09meeting places but what you're saying I can relate to some of
- 31:13it. And what I was thinking is just,
- 31:17it's hard sometimes to put all the stock in just a fellowship
- 31:22because God may want to say, Wanting to us that nobody else
- 31:26can hear. And then there's times where we
- 31:30need nothing more than to be with Brothers, dwelling together
- 31:33in unity. So I love hearing those
- 31:35experiences and just I'm saying that more for the listeners and
- 31:38a reminder to myself. And for you Pastor showing
- 31:41because there's many different ways that God is doing things
- 31:45that doesn't make sense to us. But when we get together and we
- 31:49encourage each other like just, you know, another local
- 31:52podcaster, you know, you guys Are over there, doing awesome
- 31:55stuff on the prodigal, son. I love the sense of humor.
- 31:58I've listened to a couple episodes and you put out a lot
- 32:02of content. I've probably listen to, like,
- 32:04five to seven of your shows, over the last like, year or two
- 32:08and I've liked everything I heard.
- 32:11It's for me, I'm like, yo that's should be like the after-hours
- 32:16spot on the Sunday when Church closes, like everybody's like,
- 32:19get out of here. I'm trying to go to the waffle
- 32:21place, right? I'm trying to hide.
- 32:23There's a sale over it. Season.
- 32:24I'm like, I don't even congregate with people like
- 32:26that. First of all, you know, more or
- 32:28less like, in the gutter with people that are limping around
- 32:31prophesying and and fighting spiritual battles, and educating
- 32:34ourselves, so that we can be Iron worthy to sharpen on other
- 32:38iron. But when I hear what you guys
- 32:39are doing, I'm like man, if I was attending all the time
- 32:43locally at like a building, I would want like church to end
- 32:47and grab a coffee and like that. Be the conversation.
- 32:49Like what you guys are doing it? Like another the humor and then
- 32:53you're tackling. Are real issues, real topics,
- 32:56real ideas. So I definitely feel like
- 33:01there's going to be a part. Two down the road.
- 33:03I would love to even like link up at some point in time with
- 33:06like all the guys that you're on the panel with over there on the
- 33:08show were really. There's a lot that I can't
- 33:12divulge on right now, but a lot going on behind the scenes and
- 33:16it kind of like the Christian and the Christian Fringe seen.
- 33:20You know this is like all around the country at this point but I
- 33:24love identifying like, who's who, where we at?
- 33:27And let's lock arms. Wright brothers dwelling
- 33:31together in unity. And I think the four of you over
- 33:33there on the show are demonstrating that they just
- 33:37being real. Having a sense of humor, you
- 33:40know, and diving into these real topics and just sharing each
- 33:43other's testimonies that's encouraging for me.
- 33:46So, I got to kind of wind down here with you, Sean, but I want
- 33:49you to just answer this for me and the listeners if you had
- 33:53one. Last message you could give to
- 33:55the body of Christ. God was like listen.
- 34:01This is the last time I'm going to have you on air.
- 34:03I know you love doing this. I'm calling you into deeper
- 34:05waters. What would you say to the body
- 34:07of Christ? And you're going to give me
- 34:13preaching here soon, but I'll try and keep it short because
- 34:16there is there's some main points that I've learned over
- 34:19over the last, you know, eight or nine years of one, never lose
- 34:23your faith. Always trust a no matter what
- 34:26you're going through, no matter how deep the water The Lord will
- 34:30always part it for you. It may not be the way you look,
- 34:34it may not be the way you want but he's going to part that
- 34:37bought water for you. If you have the faith of a
- 34:39mustard seed since we're here, he will move a mountain if you
- 34:43wanted to. It may not be the whole Mountain
- 34:45will not jump up and get into the ocean.
- 34:46But one rock one Boulder, one ton of sand at a time he's going
- 34:52to move that thing little by little by little.
- 34:54And sometimes we just have to be patient.
- 34:56Always keep your faith, always trust that God is going to do
- 34:59exactly. Actually what he said he's going
- 35:00to do. Don't worry about it in your
- 35:03time because you'll never get there if you try to worry about
- 35:07it from the human perspective and from the human time, trust
- 35:10that God is going to move. If he has to move it one Pebble
- 35:12at a time, he's going to do it or he's going to move the whole
- 35:14Mountain if he needs to move the whole mountain, right then and
- 35:16there but keep the faith, no matter what happens.
- 35:20Because coming through, on the other side of the mountain is
- 35:23always going to be peace and joy, you can always you're going
- 35:27to have a life of frustration. You're going to have a life of
- 35:29chaos, but keep your faith and keep Keep moving forward to the
- 35:32peace, and the joy that he provides.
- 35:35Very well said, man that there's some wisdom and season and that
- 35:39for sure. Do you want to let the listeners
- 35:41know where they can find a link to your guys podcast over there
- 35:46on the prodigal sons and anything else you like just
- 35:50closes out here anything else you want to share with us before
- 35:53we get off and I just I appreciate it.
- 35:54Gave me an opportunity to come on and talk with you.
- 35:56We've talked a few times, we've been trying to do this for a
- 35:58minute, trying to get together and we finally got together.
- 36:00Even had some small issues tonight be trying to get home
- 36:03and get on there too. This and we had some issues but
- 36:07God is good and here we are but yeah you can find us live at
- 36:106:30 Eastern Time on Facebook at prodigal son show and then you

- 36:26podcast. Our logo is black background
- 36:29with the teal woven cross. And it says, Real Men, Real

- 36:34Thanks for I'm me on and yeah, definitely get you over on our
- 36:37show man because you bring a different element.
- 36:40Some of the stuff you talked about it on her show with the
- 36:42the Supernatural and stuff. More relates to me than so much
- 36:46rest of my podcast crew. But I'd love to get you on there
- 36:49and have that conversation and let them kind of chimed in to
- 36:51see where they're at. Because I don't think we really
- 36:53had that kind of conversation. I think kind of we skirt that
- 36:56because I don't think that's one of their big issue but I've had
- 36:58a lot of experiences so I definitely have to get back
- 37:00together with you talk about that sometime.
- 37:02Thank you for the kind words and it was an honor to have you.
