- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:36Hi, it's Adam here. Now.
- 0:38Let me ask you this question. Do you feel that it would be
- 0:42helpful if you had an identity shift?
- 0:46Maybe there is something about your identity which means that
- 0:49things just happen in the same loot.
- 0:51It kind of feels like you're in a bit of a rut.
- 0:53And what would happen if your identity suddenly shifted?
- 0:57Now I was working with a client that already had an identity of
- 1:02being athletic. They would exercise regularly
- 1:06and because they had that identity of being an athlete, it
- 1:09meant they worked out a lot and they were quite fit and they
- 1:12were quite healthy. But they wanted to change an
- 1:16area of their life and that was to feel more courageous and to
- 1:20do things that they felt that they couldn't do.
- 1:23So we needed an extra evolution to the athlete identity, and
- 1:28that was to have them feel that they were not just an athlete,
- 1:31but an adventurous athlete. And when I asked the kind of
- 1:36energy they wanted to feel with this identity, it wasn't the
- 1:40kind of the rugged stoic, you know, just doing the athletic
- 1:45kind of things and, and begrudging almost like a, a
- 1:47David Goggins type of character who absolutely is an athlete.
- 1:51But there is a sense of kind of duty rather than kind of fun and
- 1:55freedom connected with his energy.
- 1:58And this client said that they wanted to feel light and it was
- 2:01fun and kind of energetic, almost like the elves in Lord of
- 2:06the Rings. Now that is important because
- 2:09part of the backdrop of this hypnosis session is Middle
- 2:13Earth. So if you're familiar with the
- 2:15Tolkien books. Like The Hobbit?
- 2:18And Lord of the Rings, you'll know it's based in Middle Earth.
- 2:21And what I also did is I asked them, is there an area of their
- 2:25life where they feel really aligned and that it is something
- 2:30that is kind of active, it requires energy and, and kind of
- 2:36time. But they didn't feel that they
- 2:37had to be competitive. And this client said snorkeling
- 2:41or scuba diving, that's also important because they could do
- 2:45that without feeling like there's a winner or a loser.
- 2:47It's just the joy of doing it is actually what makes them want to
- 2:52do it more. So these are crucial in this
- 2:54hypnosis session because what we wanted is to create an identity
- 2:58of where they are an athletic adventurer but aligned.
- 3:02Rather than feeling like it's win or lose and it feels like
- 3:06daunting, they wanted to feel this light elvish energy to it.
- 3:11So it starts with almost visiting Middle Earth,
- 3:15snorkeling or scuba diving into the ocean and then finding an
- 3:19underground cave where they get to imagine a very different
- 3:22future where they activate this identity of being an adventurous
- 3:27athlete. And for many people, when they
- 3:29think of adventurers, they think of, you know, if you think of
- 3:32Indiana Jones, he's quite famous for being the archetype of an
- 3:37adventurer. An adventurer means taking
- 3:39risks. It's doing things that aren't
- 3:41easy. There is an element perhaps of
- 3:44things that could go wrong. And yet they do it anyway
- 3:47because a lot of people associate being an adventure or
- 3:50having adventures as the fun comes from the unknown.
- 3:54If it's too predictable, it's not an adventure.
- 3:57And that's also quite empowering.
- 3:59So if you have any desire to be have, let's say, more adventure
- 4:03or more sport and fitness in your life, you might get some
- 4:05value from this session. It was created for an
- 4:08individual. Some of the references are going
- 4:09to be right for them and not quite right for you.
- 4:12So if you do like the idea of working with me direct, have a
- 4:15look in the show notes and there LL be a link there to book a
- 4:18free consultation call. For now though, find a quiet,
- 4:21comfortable place where you won't be distracted or
- 4:23disturbed. Relax.
- 4:25And enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:52you breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and
- 4:57relaxation. And as you exhale, allow your
- 5:03eyes to close, and as they close, position your body in
- 5:08such a way that your breathing finds that long, slow rhythm
- 5:17that your body can really let go and relax, breathing in a pure
- 5:28feeling of relaxation. And as you exhale, allowing any
- 5:36feelings of tension to start to melt away.
- 5:47And as you breathe in, breathe in for deeper.
- 5:51And as you exhale, exhale for longer.
- 5:59And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you feel.
- 6:05And the more relaxed you feel, the deeper you breathe.
- 6:12I want you to imagine what it would be like to float off to a
- 6:19fictional world, a world of hobbits and dwarves and elves.
- 6:27I want you to imagine what it would be like to float into the
- 6:31pages of a book and find yourself in a different world
- 6:39that we can call Middle Earth. Just imagine blue skies,
- 6:47sunshine on your skin. And I want you to imagine being
- 6:54somewhere on the coast in Middle Earth, a coast of sunshine, a
- 7:03coast that reminds you of the Cayman Islands.
- 7:08I want you to imagine they're on the coast.
- 7:13You're seeing an elegant elf snorkeling.
- 7:21See them with whatever they need to swiftly, smoothly,
- 7:37effortlessly glide under the water.
- 7:45And I want you to get a feeling that their abilities have
- 7:50transferred to you. Just imagine you can hold your
- 7:57breath for three times as long. Imagine you have their
- 8:03lightness, their energy, their intensity.
- 8:08Imagine putting on that snorkel mask, taking a deep, deep
- 8:14breath, and submerging under the water.
- 8:24And as you do so, imagine a new world comes alive.
- 8:32I want you to imagine seeing fish you've never seen before,
- 8:38reefs it can't exist in your reality, see bright colours,
- 8:46strange creatures, but feel safe.
- 8:51I want you to feel like there's an entire ecosystem there.
- 8:56Everything has its place. And I want you to imagine
- 9:02swimming further from shore. Imagine seeing a school of fish,
- 9:11a ray, something else. And I want you to feel the
- 9:16connection that exists between you and all animals.
- 9:24And here, in your imagination, we can slow time or expand it.
- 9:34Moments can feel like hours, and hours can feel like moments.
- 9:42And I want you to imagine there, under the surface of the ocean,
- 9:52you discover a hidden underground cave.
- 10:02I want you to imagine that there are creatures on The Cave roof
- 10:08seem to glow a form of biological luminescence, and
- 10:20just imagine you can rest there in that cave that represent the
- 10:26deepest parts of your subconscious mind.
- 10:31My new ideas, new values, new identities are formed.
- 10:41Breathing in and breathing out, feeling safe in that cave,
- 10:49feeling a sense of adventure in that cave.
- 10:57That's it. And with each breath there in
- 11:04that cave, your body remembers how to relax without effort.
- 11:12And I want you to feel protected.
- 11:17There, in that place in that cave, everything becomes
- 11:22quieter. Your mind expands and your focus
- 11:30contracts, and reality in the world above feels very far away
- 11:40as your attention naturally turns inward to a world of
- 11:47exploration. And I want you to feel there in
- 11:56that cave, your identity can shift effortlessly.
- 12:04It's a cave where you don't need to try to change.
- 12:09And what if you simply remember who you are at your very core?
- 12:20I want you to feel as you've experienced gliding through
- 12:24water, reflecting in The Cave. You're not trying to reach a
- 12:31destination, and you can't win at snorkeling.
- 12:39You're not trying to prove anything to anyone.
- 12:44It was always about discovery, new connections, new textures,
- 12:53colors for the unexpected. Every coral formation is
- 12:59different, and every movement reveals something new, and I
- 13:07want you to allow your mind to recognize this feeling, perhaps
- 13:15the same feeling you experience when solving an interesting
- 13:19problem, when exploring an idea, when curiosity pulls you forward
- 13:29naturally. And I want you to feel that
- 13:39pull, a quiet, powerful pull towards whatever's next.
- 13:48And somewhere deep inside makes a connection.
- 13:54This state of curious exploration is the same state
- 14:02that fuels your very best training exploring what you're
- 14:07capable of. And now, as you continue
- 14:11drifting, calmly allow an image to form as you start to imagine
- 14:22your reality beyond The Cave. See that version of you?
- 14:29Strong, composed, awake, not rushed and not hyped, just
- 14:37ready. I want you to see yourself in
- 14:42your reality as someone who doesn't need to wait to feel
- 14:48energized. See yourself as an athlete, and
- 14:57athletes understand something that most people never do.
- 15:04Energy follows action and identity precedes motivation.
- 15:13You start to realize that low energy in the morning is not a
- 15:17problem, but actually evidence. Evidence that when conditions
- 15:25aren't perfect, you still do what's required.
- 15:30You still move, you still show up, and every time you train
- 15:38without that ideal energy, your identity strengthens.
- 15:45Your mind learns. This is who I am, and not
- 15:53because it feels easy, but because it's connected with your
- 15:58identity. You may even begin to take quiet
- 16:04pride in this doesn't need to be the shall we boastful pride, but
- 16:14a deep internal pride, the kind that says I train because I am
- 16:23an athlete, not to become one. And imagine that version of you,
- 16:33how training begins to change. Each session becomes an
- 16:39experiment, a quest, a question, a puzzle.
- 16:47There's no failure when you exercise only feedback, only
- 16:54data and only exploration, and you're able to make sense of
- 17:03data much more powerfully and intuitively than the average
- 17:10person. And before long, or perhaps
- 17:15already, you realize that the pursuit is the reward.
- 17:24What if the training? The exercise?
- 17:31What if that is the point, not the result?
- 17:37Not the metric, not the outcome? What if the?
- 17:41Act of training itself becomes the adventure, so that leaving
- 17:48the comfort zone feels less like discomfort and more like a side
- 17:55quest. Just like drifting beyond
- 18:00familiar coral to see what lies a little further out.
- 18:06And allow your mind to link this feeling directly to mornings
- 18:16before sunrise. A quiet world, the sense that
- 18:21you are doing something before the day begins.
- 18:28Morning training becomes your private expedition, and no one
- 18:36else needs to see it and no one else needs to validate it.
- 18:43And in these moments, doing what others can't do or won't do,
- 18:52this is where the adventurous athlete wakes up.
- 18:59And whether energy feels high or low no longer matters because
- 19:04joy is no longer dependent on feeling ready.
- 19:11Joy comes from acting in alignment with the adventurous
- 19:19athlete. So whenever you choose movement,
- 19:25whenever you choose exploration, whenever you lean in to the
- 19:30adventure within, you are acknowledging that identity,
- 19:42giving permission to that identity.
- 19:47And every morning you train, your nervous system learns that
- 19:53this is safe, this is rewarding, this is who we are.
- 20:05And I want you to get a sense of how this could change things.
- 20:11When the training, the preparation, the exercise is the
- 20:15adventure. Then any competitions.
- 20:22Any tournaments, any structured events, that just becomes
- 20:31another data point. Your value yourself worth is not
- 20:39dependent on the outcome, it's dependent on the process.
- 20:48So imagine yourself in the weeks ahead and notice what adventures
- 20:56do you continue or begin today. See yourself with a an elf like
- 21:04lightness, where training feels lighter and more playful, more
- 21:10engaging, where you move with curiosity, with pride, with
- 21:19quiet confidence. And to the outside world it will
- 21:25look like discipline, but internally it would feel like
- 21:32freedom. Freedom to choose adventures.
- 21:40And you don't need to negotiate with comfort.
- 21:44Adventurers don't care much for comfort.
- 21:50Adventurers seek adventures, so allow a new identity to lock in.
- 21:59You are not just an athlete, you are the adventurous athlete and
- 22:09movement and learning and doing The difficult thing is how you
- 22:17explore life and when it feels that you have awakened this
- 22:23identity as your dominant identity when it comes to
- 22:28exercise, training or learning something new, let me know by
- 22:33nodding your head. That's it.
- 22:40Imagine being in an underground underwater cave, taking a deep
- 22:48breath, putting a snorkel in your goggles on and submerging
- 22:55under that magical water, escaping The Cave from way
- 23:02beneath the water and returning back to the shore, seeing
- 23:10wonderful creatures on your way back.
- 23:13Feeling that you don't have to be good or bad, competent or
- 23:21incompetent. Growth, exploration and
- 23:29adventure is now what matters most.
- 23:35As you return to shore, I want you to see the Alpha still
- 23:39there, and the elf gives you something.
- 23:46A potion. A potion of vitality.
- 23:50It will unlock a new level of adventure within.
- 23:56Imagine drinking the potion, saying goodbye to the elf, and
- 24:03as you return, feel that you're floating outside of old pages of
- 24:09an old book, returning to your reality, taking with you an
- 24:17evolved identity. You're still an athlete, but now
- 24:23an adventurous athlete. So take a deep breath in through
- 24:30your nose and out through your nose.
- 24:34Wiggle your fingers, wiggle your toes.
- 24:38Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 24:44from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 24:48Starting to count 123 waking up 456 More alert 7-8.
- 24:56Open your eyes. Open your eyes, 910.
- 25:00Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
