- 0:17Speaker 1: Welcome into tag Dan today. I'm Pinnannie Stevens, Brian Sexson,
- 0:19Speaker 1: and John Osier are with me. I hope you all
- 0:21Speaker 1: had a very enjoyable long weekend. But back to action
- 0:24Speaker 1: here at the Eve Miller Electric Center. OTA's are going
- 0:27Speaker 1: to kick off again later this afternoon. OTA number four
- 0:30Speaker 1: out of ten. But an eventful weekend for the first
- 0:33Speaker 1: round draft pick. Let's start out with our big thing,
- 0:35Speaker 1: number one, which is another one, a very monumental day.
- 0:38Speaker 1: We want to give congratulations to Travis Hunter and his
- 0:41Speaker 1: new wife, Leanna, who got married over the weekend. But
- 0:44Speaker 1: an eventful month for Travis Hunter overall because getting drafted
- 0:47Speaker 1: into the NFL. He's the first person in his family
- 0:49Speaker 1: to graduate from college, turned twenty two.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And then he got married.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Friend, it's a lot of life events in one. We're
- 0:55Speaker 1: putting a ton of pressure on him to play both
- 0:56Speaker 1: sides of the football. But if anybody's up for it,
- 0:59Speaker 1: I think it might be him.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Well, you know, somebody at the draft told me that
- 1:01Speaker 2: this kid loves football and he loves fishing. So he's
- 1:04Speaker 2: cleared all the decks for everything he needed to get done, graduating,
- 1:09Speaker 2: getting married, getting drafted, getting acclimated.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I guess there's another one. John.
- 1:13Speaker 2: He's got to get his contract done, but it appears
- 1:15Speaker 2: that that's just a formality at this point in today's
- 1:18Speaker 2: day in.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Age of the NFL.
- 1:20Speaker 2: But he's clear the decks Ky Now all of a sudden,
- 1:22Speaker 2: he can focus on his new wife for the next
- 1:24Speaker 2: couple of weeks and then training camp rolls around.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It's all about football.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Well, the best player in franchise history came in here,
- 1:31Speaker 4: Tony Besselli, and get married a couple weeks later, So
- 1:33Speaker 4: maybe as a formula works. I'm sure others have done it.
- 1:36Speaker 4: It was it was cool to sort of go through
- 1:39Speaker 4: on social media and see Travis's big day, nothing but
- 1:42Speaker 4: the best. So it's it's uh, I'm I'm waiting for
- 1:45Speaker 4: my car. You know he's beginning comes at this point. Yes,
- 1:49Speaker 4: so you know I'm available. I'm in the MEC all
- 1:52Speaker 4: the time.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I'll let him know. Let's go through some of our
- 1:55Speaker 1: other big things, which are some of the changes we
- 1:56Speaker 1: saw at the NFL meetings. So some things change. One
- 1:59Speaker 1: of the big changes are one thing that I'm interested
- 2:01Speaker 1: in at least is that NFL players are going to
- 2:03Speaker 1: be allowed to play in flag football in the Olympics
- 2:07Speaker 1: represented the United States if they're chosen for the team. So, John,
- 2:10Speaker 1: if you were gonna pick one of the Jaguars to
- 2:12Speaker 1: play flag football for the USA, who do you think
- 2:15Speaker 1: your chick?
- 2:16Speaker 4: The The old cynic in me would say none. That's
- 2:20Speaker 4: why these guys getting hurt. So I'll just I'll put
- 2:23Speaker 4: that aside, because I'm sure they are administrators and coaches
- 2:27Speaker 4: thinking that way. You know, I'm gonna say maybe Travis
- 2:34Speaker 4: Hunter because of the two way element, you know, and
- 2:37Speaker 4: because of the of the dynamic element. There are certainly
- 2:40Speaker 4: guys on this team who have the speed and the
- 2:43Speaker 4: quickness to play that game. I don't know much about
- 2:47Speaker 4: how flag football look in the Olympics.
- 2:49Speaker 5: I know it'll look better than when I played.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It just a little bit.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Well, it won't be played in the sand. Anybody remember
- 2:54Speaker 2: the name of Robert Edwards. It'll be played on turf.
- 2:58Speaker 2: And so from that perspective of the NFL's said, go ahead,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I'll take Brian Thomas Junior because he did play so
- 3:03Speaker 2: well at the Pro Bowl games in January.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Very good call.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I think speed and just getting around some of the
- 3:10Speaker 1: flags and pulling that's probably a good call. Some things
- 3:12Speaker 1: will stay the same though, as we saw they voted
- 3:15Speaker 1: they were trying to ban the push. They didn't get
- 3:17Speaker 1: enough votes. The Jaguars voted to keep the tust push,
- 3:20Speaker 1: probably because they stopped it a couple of times this year,
- 3:22Speaker 1: even though they didn't win that game. Another change that
- 3:24Speaker 1: did not happen Brian, was they're not doing the receding
- 3:27Speaker 1: in the playoffs. They talked about maybe if you win
- 3:30Speaker 1: your division but you don't have the best record, you
- 3:32Speaker 1: wouldn't get a home game, but they haven't done away
- 3:34Speaker 1: with that yet. That seems like something that may come
- 3:36Speaker 1: up again.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Though you know, the NFL is loathed to change.
- 3:39Speaker 2: They for years talked about eliminating the kickoff or finding
- 3:43Speaker 2: a different way to execute the kickoff, and it wasn't
- 3:47Speaker 2: until recently last year that they went ahead.
- 3:49Speaker 3: And made the change.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I expect that this is going to happen at some
- 3:52Speaker 2: point in time. It just seems coming down the road.
- 3:55Speaker 2: All the other things that have happened just take more time.
- 3:59Speaker 2: It won't have happen maybe for two or three more years,
- 4:01Speaker 2: but eventually they'll get there.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think they'll reced because I think owners
- 4:07Speaker 4: and people involved with the league. Want there to be
- 4:10Speaker 4: a real prize that comes with winning the division and
- 4:16Speaker 4: getting the playoffs. Yes, that's a prize, but I think
- 4:18Speaker 4: owners who ultimately decide this like having that home playoff
- 4:24Speaker 4: game as they cared for in the division.
- 4:26Speaker 5: Uh.
- 4:27Speaker 4: And it's it's been talked about before. I remember this
- 4:31Speaker 4: being talked about back in five or six. I think
- 4:35Speaker 4: it always sounds great when it's talked about on social media,
- 4:39Speaker 4: but once after it comes down to a vote, these
- 4:40Speaker 4: guys don't wan to change.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but here's the change though we saw last week
- 4:44Speaker 2: with Bob Ursay's passing.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Does get Bob, but sorry, Bob was his dad. You know.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Now his daughter is running the show.
- 4:55Speaker 2: And Bob McNair's passed a few years ago in Houston
- 4:59Speaker 2: and his son is running show. And I think over
- 5:01Speaker 2: time you'll see some of the kids, some of the
- 5:03Speaker 2: family members, maybe some of the private equity firms that
- 5:05Speaker 2: are getting involved have.
- 5:06Speaker 3: A bit of a say, we'll see.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I don't want to see it change because I like
- 5:10Speaker 2: you like the value of the rivalries, but this league
- 5:14Speaker 2: is changing fast and over time.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I think it might something to keep an eye on
- 5:20Speaker 1: for sure. Stay with us here on Jagzam. We're gonna
- 5:22Speaker 1: look around the division before we get to training camp,
- 5:24Speaker 1: see what everyone else is doing. We're gonna check out
- 5:26Speaker 1: what's up with the Cults after the break. Jag Zam
- 5:32Speaker 1: Today brought to you by Fresh from Florida. It is
- 5:35Speaker 1: always in season. You welcome you back here. As the
- 5:39Speaker 1: Jaguars are in the middle of OTZ right now, I
- 5:41Speaker 1: figured it was kind of time to check in on
- 5:43Speaker 1: what's going around going on in the division because we've
- 5:46Speaker 1: got three more weeks until we take a little bit
- 5:48Speaker 1: of a break before training camp. So let's talk about
- 5:50Speaker 1: the three other teams. So checking in with the Colts.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Obviously we mentioned a little bit earlier, but owner Jim
- 5:54Speaker 1: ursa passing away. John, I know you worked there for
- 5:56Speaker 1: some time. Hearing that news and kind of hearing all
- 5:59Speaker 1: this stories coming out, You're familiar with what was going
- 6:02Speaker 1: on and just kind of that blow that they're dealing
- 6:05Speaker 1: with now.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I left the Colts fifteen years ago, so I
- 6:08Speaker 4: knew Jim for ten years, from one to about twenty ten. Look,
- 6:13Speaker 4: it'll be a blow for the franchise because he was
- 6:15Speaker 4: beloved by players, coaches.
- 6:18Speaker 5: He was a football guy.
- 6:20Speaker 4: He had a lot of influence when I was there
- 6:23Speaker 4: over President Bill Pollian being hired, Tony Dune being hired.
- 6:28Speaker 4: He had a lot of say in Peyton Manning's drafting.
- 6:30Speaker 4: So his football expertise that he developed when he was
- 6:34Speaker 4: growing up and working as a GM, working in a
- 6:37Speaker 4: lot of facets of the organization helped him to be
- 6:40Speaker 4: a good owner. I don't really know that much the
- 6:43Speaker 4: last fifteen years. My understanding is the daughters have taken
- 6:47Speaker 4: more and more ownership.
- 6:50Speaker 5: If you will, and leading the organization.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Carly Will, I believe, takeover running the team's been doing
- 6:57Speaker 4: it for about ten or eleven years. They've been transitioning
- 6:59Speaker 4: to that for while. I don't expect, you know, and
- 7:02Speaker 4: I'm talking way out of turns. I haven't been around for.
- 7:04Speaker 5: A long time.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I wouldn't expect the day to day and the spirit
- 7:08Speaker 4: of that organization to change much with Jim's passing.
- 7:11Speaker 5: But rest of peace, Jim ares.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I read somewhere that Jim Ursay made Indianapolis a football town.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It had been the Pacers, it had been basketball, it
- 7:19Speaker 2: had been the Indy five hundred.
- 7:20Speaker 5: You agree with it, No, Peyton made India football town.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Okay, fair enough, let's talk a little bit about the
- 7:27Speaker 1: quarterback competition in Indianapolis, because that's going to be the
- 7:30Speaker 1: story for them. A lot of this year will be
- 7:33Speaker 1: Anthony Richardson, who had his ups and downs so far,
- 7:35Speaker 1: haven't seen a ton of them just due to injury
- 7:37Speaker 1: and then some of his other issues on the field
- 7:39Speaker 1: kind of getting benched and coming back. But now with
- 7:43Speaker 1: Daniel Jones in the house as well, it'll be a
- 7:45Speaker 1: little bit of a competition.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Brian.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Daniel Jones obviously a more accomplished passer, but I
- 7:51Speaker 2: remember Daniel Jones from a couple of years ago when
- 7:52Speaker 2: he came in here beat the Jaguars with his.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Legs running all over the field. This guy is an enigma.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I mean, he's he's got everything you could want.
- 8:01Speaker 2: He's the height, the length, speed, power, but he can't
- 8:05Speaker 2: stay healthy. So just based on what we've seen from
- 8:08Speaker 2: his first two years in the NFL, I would say
- 8:11Speaker 2: Daniel Jones is sitting in the catfert scene.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Yeah, if Anthony Richardson turns it on, he's got a chance.
- 8:18Speaker 5: To be a start to be very good.
- 8:19Speaker 4: But that's always been the sentence associated with him and
- 8:22Speaker 4: he hasn't done it yet. So It's a smart move
- 8:24Speaker 4: by the Colts to have somebody ready. I would think
- 8:27Speaker 4: Anthony Richardson gets every chance, probably wins the job because
- 8:31Speaker 4: of the draft status and the talent, but can he
- 8:34Speaker 4: be on the field and canny play well?
- 8:37Speaker 5: So smart move by the Colts.
- 8:38Speaker 4: It feels like this is one of those years that
- 8:43Speaker 4: for them that they do this just to make sure
- 8:47Speaker 4: and then they have to move on next year.
- 8:48Speaker 5: That's the vibe. But maybe Ar proves that different.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Well, And I don't know that they have the surrounding
- 8:53Speaker 2: cast for Daniel Jones that Sam Darnold had in Minneapolis
- 8:57Speaker 2: last year, but he could be this year's Where did
- 9:00Speaker 2: this guy come from?
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah, someone in their second spot kind of getting reinventing
- 9:05Speaker 1: themselves a little bit.
- 9:06Speaker 3: So I'm sure we've seen he see that.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yeah, and one of those new weapons he got in
- 9:10Speaker 1: the draft they drafted. They went for Tyler Warren the
- 9:13Speaker 1: tight end for their first round pick. Ryan, you were
- 9:15Speaker 1: at the draft, you got to speak to some of
- 9:16Speaker 1: these guys. What did you hear from him and.
- 9:18Speaker 3: What did you see?
- 9:18Speaker 2: Well, I didn't get a chance to talk to him
- 9:20Speaker 2: as much as I got a chance to see him
- 9:21Speaker 2: and listen the guy has this interesting He's tall and
- 9:26Speaker 2: he's long, and he's athletic, and everyone makes the comparison
- 9:30Speaker 2: to the great tight ends in the game, Rob Lenkowski,
- 9:33Speaker 2: who I know you covered, and Travis Kelce and the
- 9:36Speaker 2: way that he was used by Penn State and their
- 9:40Speaker 2: new offensive coordinator last year, guy named Andy Kolonecki. They
- 9:44Speaker 2: used him in so many different ways. When you see
- 9:47Speaker 2: him and you see the length that he has and
- 9:50Speaker 2: just the body style, he's going to be a matchup
- 9:52Speaker 2: nightmare for a lot of people because you're going to
- 9:55Speaker 2: get a smaller safety or a bigger linebacker that's going
- 9:58Speaker 2: to have to cover him, and he looks like a
- 10:00Speaker 2: mismatch for no matter who is across from them.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Yeah, he'll be very interesting.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Tight end's taken that high and sort of as the
- 10:08Speaker 4: chosen ones haven't.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Always fared that well.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Brock Bauer sort of broke that trend as a guy
- 10:15Speaker 4: who you could feature into the offense. I expect Tyler
- 10:17Speaker 4: Warren to be that guy and it certainly helps Anthony
- 10:20Speaker 4: Richardson if he is quickly.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Absolutely all right, stay with us. We're gonna come back
- 10:24Speaker 1: through some ozone mail bag questions. We answer questions from
- 10:27Speaker 1: the fans, move the freight, Move the freight. Magellan Transport
- 10:35Speaker 1: voted the coolest office space in Jacksonville. You can apply
- 10:37Speaker 1: online at Magellanlogistics dot com. I got to check in
- 10:48Speaker 1: with the OSA wise John Oser about some of these
- 10:50Speaker 1: fan questions we have. We're gonna check in with Greg
- 10:53Speaker 1: fran Jacksonville. First off, he says, do you think it
- 10:55Speaker 1: is possible for a player like Travis Hunter who will
- 10:58Speaker 1: go both ways? Supposedly and Rookie of the Year honors
- 11:01Speaker 1: on both offense and defense? Are those awards fan based
- 11:03Speaker 1: like the Pro Bowl? Or is that strictly tiers and
- 11:06Speaker 1: lead voting.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Well, it's funny, Brian, when every people talk about awards.
- 11:11Speaker 5: Many organizations give out these awards. The most prominent Rookie.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Of the Year vote is the AP vote, which is
- 11:18Speaker 4: usually the most prominent of the votes. That's writers doing it.
- 11:23Speaker 4: There is a offense and a defense. There's no reason
- 11:27Speaker 4: why Travis Hunter, if he performs on both sides of
- 11:29Speaker 4: the ball, couldn't be both. It would be amazing if
- 11:33Speaker 4: he was. And then there's others. You know, it's very
- 11:37Speaker 4: little peer voting in that among the more exclusive or exclusive,
- 11:43Speaker 4: one of the more prestigious Sporting news has one, pfw
- 11:47Speaker 4: A has one.
- 11:49Speaker 5: But could he do it?
- 11:50Speaker 4: Yeah, for the ones that have offense and defense, there's
- 11:52Speaker 4: no reason he couldn't be voted that well.
- 11:54Speaker 3: He'd have to play at an incredible level.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's so hard, and I don't want
- 11:59Speaker 2: to tamp down people's expectations too much, although I think
- 12:01Speaker 2: they're doing a job with it by focusing his time
- 12:04Speaker 2: on offense and talking about how they're going to work
- 12:07Speaker 2: him in on defense. But the level of performance that
- 12:10Speaker 2: it would take for a guy to play at the
- 12:12Speaker 2: highest level at receiver and at corner, I just I
- 12:16Speaker 2: can't get my brain wrapped around it because it takes
- 12:19Speaker 2: it takes rookies time to figure out where they're supposed
- 12:23Speaker 2: to be and when they're supposed to be there. Kay,
- 12:25Speaker 2: let alone you know what time we eat and what
- 12:27Speaker 2: time the bus shows up, and to master their their
- 12:31Speaker 2: craft at a high of a level at one position.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Now we're talking too, could he? I don't know. I
- 12:38Speaker 2: think who are asking a lot.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I think it might be tough on the defensive side
- 12:42Speaker 1: of the football, just because of the amount of snaps
- 12:44Speaker 1: he may get will be limited less than offense. And
- 12:46Speaker 1: then also I feel like with the defensive player of
- 12:48Speaker 1: the awards sometimes can edge towards, you know.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Edge players because you have sacks.
- 12:52Speaker 1: You can look at a specific stats. Sometimes, you know,
- 12:54Speaker 1: pass breakups and things like that aren't as impressive unless
- 12:57Speaker 1: you have the interception numbers. So that'll be something to keep.
- 13:00Speaker 4: The spirit of the question was is it possible? Certainly, sure,
- 13:02Speaker 4: it's possible he would. He would probably have to get
- 13:06Speaker 4: a pick six or two, get some points and get
- 13:10Speaker 4: people talking about him. I think the other reason he
- 13:12Speaker 4: would have a theoretical chance is he's coming in so
- 13:16Speaker 4: high profile, and often that award is sometimes it doesn't
- 13:21Speaker 4: necessarily go to the most deserving, it goes to the
- 13:23Speaker 4: most high profile some of these awards. So if he
- 13:26Speaker 4: were to have the great offensive numbers that people expect
- 13:30Speaker 4: him to have and a couple of pick sixes, he
- 13:32Speaker 4: could get that sort of award. But you know, let's
- 13:35Speaker 4: hope that the conversation is real in December.
- 13:38Speaker 3: You take one, I mean you'd take one.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I'll take any pick sixs that are available. This one
- 13:44Speaker 1: is a term I hear a lot. So Christoph Fleming
- 13:46Speaker 1: island ozone. Are we winning the off season again?
- 13:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I kind of laughed when I was answering this question.
- 13:52Speaker 4: I guess I don't know what this means anymore. I
- 13:55Speaker 4: feel like they had, you know, I feel like if
- 13:58Speaker 4: you ask Jaguars people, meaning James Gladstone, the people involved
- 14:02Speaker 4: putting the off season together, I would think they felt
- 14:05Speaker 4: like they won. Usually when people talk about winning the
- 14:07Speaker 4: off season, it becomes sort of, you know, it's a
- 14:11Speaker 4: little bit of a sarcasta hang, oh, we won the
- 14:12Speaker 4: off season, we.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Couldn't win the regular season.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I didn't feel like it was that sort of off season, Brian,
- 14:17Speaker 4: where they were trying to go win and trying to
- 14:20Speaker 4: get headlines.
- 14:22Speaker 5: So I don't feel like it's that.
- 14:24Speaker 4: I feel like there's some profile to this off season
- 14:27Speaker 4: because of Travis Hunter, and that's the energy. I feel
- 14:32Speaker 4: like it's a good off season, but I don't know
- 14:33Speaker 4: if it deserves the Oh they won the off season,
- 14:36Speaker 4: they because to me, winning the off season means being stupid.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I mean spending ridiculous amounts of money in free agency,
- 14:42Speaker 2: which we've done around here.
- 14:43Speaker 5: And I don't think that was the spirit of this offseason.
- 14:45Speaker 2: No, it wasn't anything like twenty seventeen. And listen, twenty seventeen,
- 14:48Speaker 2: they won the Yeah, twenty twenty three, twenty seventeen.
- 14:52Speaker 3: They won the off season. Then they won in the season.
- 14:54Speaker 2: But in every other year where they went out and
- 14:56Speaker 2: spent incredible amounts of money, they didn't think it was
- 14:59Speaker 2: just pointing.
- 15:00Speaker 3: So here's how they won the off season.
- 15:03Speaker 2: They brought the fan base back at the end of
- 15:05Speaker 2: last year when they fired the coach and kept the
- 15:08Speaker 2: GM and everybody was just done and threw their hands up,
- 15:12Speaker 2: and you know, where is this thing going. Well, from
- 15:14Speaker 2: the time that they made the change and hired Liam
- 15:16Speaker 2: and Tony and James Gladstone and then went and spent
- 15:20Speaker 2: what I thought was very prudently in free agency and
- 15:24Speaker 2: then made the move to get Travis Hunter. So in
- 15:27Speaker 2: that sense, they absolutely have won the off season. Because
- 15:31Speaker 2: I don't know about you guys, but everywhere I go,
- 15:32Speaker 2: people are excited for the season, can't wait for the season.
- 15:34Speaker 2: I mean, we're standing in line at publics wherever you
- 15:37Speaker 2: are on the beach on Memorial Day. Everyone wants to
- 15:39Speaker 2: talk about this team. And none of us felt like
- 15:42Speaker 2: that was going to be the case when the season.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Ended last year.
- 15:44Speaker 1: It's true, all right, And finally Keith from Titusville, Florivan,
- 15:47Speaker 1: wants to talk about the safeties. He says, I feel
- 15:49Speaker 1: like the depth of the safety position is not being
- 15:50Speaker 1: talked about enough. Eric Murray, Darnell Savage, Antonio Johnson, Taylor Bransaw,
- 15:54Speaker 1: Andrew Winger, Rayon Lane and Daniel Thomas. How many safeties
- 15:58Speaker 1: do you think the team will keep?
- 16:00Speaker 4: I think it's deep. I think the question is is
- 16:04Speaker 4: it great? I think they think they moved to improve it.
- 16:08Speaker 4: I think they showed you what they thought of last
- 16:11Speaker 4: year's safeties by going out and getting Eric Murray, by
- 16:13Speaker 4: drafting two, I mean they knew this was a position
- 16:15Speaker 4: they had to be overhauled. I think it will be seen,
- 16:18Speaker 4: you know, it remains to be seen if it's deep
- 16:22Speaker 4: and as good as they want it. I think it's
- 16:25Speaker 4: a position and transition.
- 16:30Speaker 5: I would expect Dewey.
- 16:33Speaker 4: I mentioned him first, Caleb brand Saw and Eric Murray
- 16:37Speaker 4: expect to start. I expect Dewey and Rayon Lane to
- 16:40Speaker 4: have key roles. After that, we'll see what happened.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Passay, you're going to have five because Daniel Thomas is
- 16:45Speaker 2: one of your best special teams performers and has been
- 16:47Speaker 2: for a number of years, so you're not going to
- 16:49Speaker 2: move him off the roster, especially with Heath Farwell sticking
- 16:54Speaker 2: around as the special teams coordinator.
- 16:56Speaker 3: So I would say five.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I think we may see rayon lane and doing a
- 16:59Speaker 1: lot of special teams as well. I know he's done
- 17:01Speaker 1: that in college. That's something to keep an eye on.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But I think more than anything, just different from last year.
- 17:05Speaker 5: Week.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it would be great.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Stay with here.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I'll tell you what's coming up.
- 17:08Speaker 5: The rest of the.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Week mentioned an eventful month for Travis Hunter. But how
- 17:23Speaker 1: about this kid practicing football outside his house. Travis Hunter
- 17:26Speaker 1: just walks up pretty nice surprise, And I love that.
- 17:29Speaker 1: We just have all these videos. We have Travis on
- 17:30Speaker 1: the plane talking to an older lady helping her with
- 17:33Speaker 1: her bags, and everyone's just having a Travis Hunter run
- 17:36Speaker 1: in around Jacksonville. And he's gonna be good here.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I can tell he is all typic to people who
- 17:42Speaker 2: have met him, they understand that this is just who
- 17:44Speaker 2: he is. This is not contrived. Forget all the cameras
- 17:47Speaker 2: that are always following him around.
- 17:48Speaker 3: That's just the world he lives in. He is the
- 17:50Speaker 3: real deal.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 4: I think he likes people, and it seems and everybody's
- 17:57Speaker 4: like this, I don't care about this. He likes making
- 17:59Speaker 4: other people happy, so it's okay. Yeah, I mean, and
- 18:03Speaker 4: it's cool to see it seems very genuine. Sometimes when
- 18:08Speaker 4: you talk about a guy's character, and when James Glasman
- 18:11Speaker 4: talks about lifting an organization, the old cynic in me
- 18:14Speaker 4: is like, that didn't really happen.
- 18:16Speaker 5: This kid's the real deal. It's fun to be around.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Just what do what you guys think?
- 18:20Speaker 2: If there's so much attention on him, much more than
- 18:24Speaker 2: he had even at Colorado with Deon Sanders and that crew,
- 18:28Speaker 2: you just wonder how the pressure of performing at this level,
- 18:34Speaker 2: all the two way talk, the question that we got earlier.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I get the spirits. Could he win both?
- 18:38Speaker 2: But there will be some conversations, you know, if he
- 18:41Speaker 2: goes out and has a great game on both sides
- 18:43Speaker 2: of the ball. I just I wonder how he deals
- 18:46Speaker 2: with it, if it's pressure or if his personality is
- 18:49Speaker 2: just such that it just doesn't bother.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:51Speaker 4: I think so far he's had such success that he'd
- 18:56Speaker 4: probably he had many big deal The question will become
- 19:00Speaker 4: adversity in the NFL, which usually even for great rookies happens.
- 19:03Speaker 4: How he deals with that, but that is the question
- 19:06Speaker 4: that you ask of most rookies when they come into
- 19:08Speaker 4: the NFL. So uh, he'll have more attention on it,
- 19:11Speaker 4: but I think he's used to that.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Sure, he'll be back on the field with his teammates today, John,
- 19:15Speaker 1: your favorite OTAs continue. I love it, best time of here,
- 19:18Speaker 1: Helmets of Shorts. We will update you next VEHK. We'll
- 19:21Speaker 1: hear from everybody a little later on today, but we'll
- 19:23Speaker 1: see on Jagdam next Tuesday.
