- 0:04Speaker 1: Breaking news coming in hot to ft.
- 0:07Speaker 2: The Boston Red Sox have pivoted fast Ranger Suarez five years,
- 0:12Speaker 2: one hundred and thirty million dollars, no deferrals, no opt outs,
- 0:15Speaker 2: and a stronger starting rotation.
- 0:17Speaker 1: What do we think?
- 0:18Speaker 3: I love this moves up, dog, that's what he just
- 0:20Speaker 3: Ranger the Red Sox except Dog, I love this movie.
- 0:24Speaker 3: You give me pivoting from Bregman two Ranger swars. Now
- 0:28Speaker 3: they have Sonny Gray, Garrett Crochet, Ranger Suarez, Brian Bayo,
- 0:32Speaker 3: and then whoever they picked the finish finish out that rotation.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Forget Kratz, tell him who he's forgetting.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Come on, Piano, Joiedohan, don't mess with the Johan.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Krats his favorite in all seriousness. If you're just
- 0:48Speaker 2: catching this out of the blue and wondering while we're
- 0:50Speaker 2: going nuts, Krats is very high on the upside of Johanna.
- 0:53Speaker 3: He's listed as a bullpen guy though no on the
- 0:56Speaker 3: Red Sox. Yes he is on their roster. Yes he
- 0:58Speaker 3: is on MLB dot com MLB dot com, but they
- 1:00Speaker 3: have early totally Tanner, Howe Cutter, Crawford, Patrick Sandoval. They
- 1:06Speaker 3: have a long list of starters. Possibility I mean, this
- 1:09Speaker 3: is a solid, solid pitching staff.
- 1:12Speaker 2: They're five right now heading into camp if everyone's healthy
- 1:15Speaker 2: and they do what they're supposed to do in spring training.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Is Crochet one, Ranger Suarez two, which was what they
- 1:19Speaker 2: were looking forward to. And Red Sox fans were pissed
- 1:22Speaker 2: that they didn't get it too. They felt like Sunny
- 1:24Speaker 2: Gray was a three.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Boom, here you go, here's your three, and these are
- 1:27Speaker 1: all guys that can pitch in a playoff game.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Four is Bao, five is Oviedo. And if you want
- 1:32Speaker 2: to be a team that gets through regular season and
- 1:34Speaker 2: really make sure you make the playoffs, you need like
- 1:36Speaker 2: ten and that's where you just mentioned five others that
- 1:39Speaker 2: can float into the.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Jordan Hicks do and figuring out what he's gonna do.
- 1:42Speaker 1: With him, Yeah, well problem he's.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yeah, wolock in Chatman at the back end is a
- 1:48Speaker 3: pretty good place to start with Weiser And this is
- 1:52Speaker 3: a solid team, though I still think they would like
- 1:55Speaker 3: to get a bat like their right hand up.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Better than like if you had to decide between this
- 2:01Speaker 2: and it's a nice pivot though it's vot I agree.
- 2:05Speaker 3: It's a really nice pivot.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and they still probably will acquire a bat. Maybe
- 2:09Speaker 2: it's Henio Suarez to play third and then Marcella Meyer
- 2:13Speaker 2: play second.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Here's why it's a nice fit, and I'm doing it
- 2:17Speaker 4: as we talk. But what are the Red Sox? All
- 2:21Speaker 4: the Red Sox care about playoffs? Winning a World Series,
- 2:25Speaker 4: Red Sox fans whatever. Ranger Suarez, Obviously, I'm freaking out.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I can't go too fast. He has a one point
- 2:34Speaker 4: four to eight ERA is forty two innings and in
- 2:37Speaker 4: the playoffs only thirteen walks. He's only given up thirty
- 2:43Speaker 4: two hits. He's got almost a one whip in the playoffs. Like,
- 2:48Speaker 4: this is a guy who has shown up. Has he
- 2:50Speaker 4: thrown a lot of innings in the regular season. No,
- 2:53Speaker 4: you just named off eight or nine guys that can
- 2:56Speaker 4: pitch in the big leagues for this team have pitched
- 2:59Speaker 4: in the big leagues. And yes, it's okay that you
- 3:02Speaker 4: had guys that stepped up last year, you know, with
- 3:06Speaker 4: Peyton and Kylie Early, and you had guys that stepped
- 3:09Speaker 4: up and were pitching really well. It's okay that they're
- 3:12Speaker 4: in Triple A when something happens, not if something happens.
- 3:15Speaker 4: When something happens, and you call those guys up. This
- 3:19Speaker 4: is huge. This also makes Red Sox fans say, okay,
- 3:24Speaker 4: we're still pissed at the Red Sox were not coming
- 3:26Speaker 4: off of the one sixty five that Bregman. You know,
- 3:30Speaker 4: they that was the best offer that they gave. But
- 3:34Speaker 4: beginning off season they were talking about we're not looking
- 3:36Speaker 4: for We're not looking for any threes and fours. In
- 3:40Speaker 4: my opinion, I think that's where the sunny Gray Oviedo,
- 3:45Speaker 4: you know, that's that's the route where they live. And
- 3:49Speaker 4: he's a man of his word. They were going after
- 3:51Speaker 4: one of these guys maybe will come out. They were
- 3:53Speaker 4: going after more than just Ranger. But to me, Rangers
- 3:56Speaker 4: are number two and he is a Maybe some people
- 4:00Speaker 4: he's not a number two during the regular season, that's fine.
- 4:02Speaker 4: He is definitely your number two starter in the postseason
- 4:06Speaker 4: to go with garat Crochet.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Now here's the real question that the fans will to
- 4:10Speaker 3: know where does this put them in the division? But
- 4:14Speaker 3: where does this put them? And now there's a team
- 4:15Speaker 3: out there, the Yankees in this division. We already kind
- 4:21Speaker 3: of talked about them getting Ryan Weathers. Okay, the Red
- 4:25Speaker 3: Sox answer with Ranger Suarez, whatever you however you want
- 4:29Speaker 3: to put it, that are probably a better choice. Okay,
- 4:32Speaker 3: yes you have. The Orioles improved a lot, a lot.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Okay.
- 4:37Speaker 3: The Blue Jays were six inches away from winning the
- 4:41Speaker 3: World Series last year. Got sees Ponts still in it
- 4:45Speaker 3: for Tucker.
- 4:46Speaker 1: They've Okamoto o Komodo improved.
- 4:49Speaker 3: People would say, Okay, these teams are improving. The Yankees
- 4:55Speaker 3: haven't done much. Now you know what this does, Cody Bellinger.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Cody Bellinger's going Yankees. You need me now more than ever. Okay,
- 5:04Speaker 3: So where I mean to me? It's Red Sox and
- 5:06Speaker 3: Blue Jays are probably the best two teams in this
- 5:08Speaker 3: division right.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Now, better than the Yankees.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I think so because their pitching is just legit. They
- 5:14Speaker 3: were good last year. Their pitching is legit. Their starters
- 5:16Speaker 3: are really good now if these guys are all healthy
- 5:19Speaker 3: and right. But where do you put the Yankees? Do
- 5:22Speaker 3: you put the Yankees third? Second, third, fourth in this division?
- 5:26Speaker 3: Because they haven't done much? Again, they haven't done much
- 5:28Speaker 3: this offseason. Wait, how blue the Red Sox lineup?
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah? Tough? What sorry?
- 5:34Speaker 4: How's how's the Red Sox lineup better? Right now?
- 5:38Speaker 1: Well?
- 5:38Speaker 3: I think well, they got Wilson Contraras he's the first
- 5:41Speaker 3: baseman that makes he's better than Bregman. No, no, no, I
- 5:46Speaker 3: say the first I didn't say anything about third shortstops.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Same as Trevor story. Jared Durant will have a better year.
- 5:52Speaker 3: He didn't have very good year last year. I think
- 5:54Speaker 3: wrote full year of Roman Anthony right sit on Rafaela.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I think we'll take another step mm hm Our Vaias
- 6:01Speaker 3: and Connor Wong are solid behind the plan. Third base
- 6:05Speaker 3: is the whole. Now do you fill with Meyer, do
- 6:06Speaker 3: you fill Rome Gonzalez? What do you do there? Or
- 6:09Speaker 3: do you go out and get a Geno Suarez for
- 6:10Speaker 3: a year or two to I think that's how you
- 6:13Speaker 3: finish this all. If you're the Red Sox, you say, ah, Geno,
- 6:17Speaker 3: here's one year, twenty million. I don't know what the
- 6:19Speaker 3: numbers are, random numbers. I'm just going out there. But
- 6:21Speaker 3: here's a two year deal, forty or whatever you think
- 6:23Speaker 3: will get them done. And then you really finish this
- 6:26Speaker 3: off this offseason, you say, we're pretty good, right now,
- 6:29Speaker 3: bring us some pop Gino? Yeah, right handed. They have
- 6:32Speaker 3: Red Sox need right handed power. And he's the perfect
- 6:35Speaker 3: guy and he fits from what everyone says. He's a
- 6:38Speaker 3: great guy in the clubhouse. Oh yeah, so he fits perfectly?
- 6:42Speaker 3: Or do you trade at Tristan Cassis for somebody you
- 6:44Speaker 3: know him? And I know this isn't on the same
- 6:46Speaker 3: but we're going to go back to the Rangers as
- 6:47Speaker 3: his old team the Phillies. They signed Bobashet. Here's a
- 6:50Speaker 3: name for you to watch for the Phillies if they
- 6:54Speaker 3: don't sign JT. Jonahin Sure. Yeah, I just pitch in
- 6:59Speaker 3: in guy, veteran guy won a World Series, Jeff. He'd
- 7:02Speaker 3: probably get him a little bit cheaper, but he can
- 7:04Speaker 3: help you out. You know what I'm saying, Just because
- 7:06Speaker 3: when we were talking to Sean Armstrong he mentioned him
- 7:08Speaker 3: and I was like, I forgot he was non tendered
- 7:10Speaker 3: this offseason. That's a nice that wouldn't be if JT
- 7:13Speaker 3: doesn't go back to the Phillies. That's a veteran guy.
- 7:15Speaker 3: He can slot in there. They can do a lot
- 7:16Speaker 3: of things for it.
- 7:17Speaker 1: It will cost much less than j T.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 7:20Speaker 4: I lost his job to Al Higashioka last year. Yes, yeah,
- 7:24Speaker 4: but you've give him a proven contract.
- 7:25Speaker 3: You give him a one year five and whatever and
- 7:28Speaker 3: say you're gonna get a chance to play and throw
- 7:31Speaker 3: a bunch.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Of incentives in there, change of scenery too, go win
- 7:34Speaker 1: Kevin Long. Where are we at with.
- 7:37Speaker 2: The rest of the starting pitching market, So we think
- 7:41Speaker 2: there's a chance Freddy Pearl to gets traded. The Red
- 7:43Speaker 2: Sox were definitely in on Freddie Peralta. That's I don't
- 7:45Speaker 2: want to say a fact, but as close to a
- 7:47Speaker 2: fact as can be. Multiple insiders reporting about that throughout
- 7:51Speaker 2: the off season and hearing about it behind the scenes.
- 7:53Speaker 2: The whole deal right, asking price probably too high. They
- 7:56Speaker 2: were trying to trade for others. They did trade for
- 7:58Speaker 2: Sonny Gray a while back, but now the rotation is intact.
- 8:02Speaker 2: It seems like the Mets are trying to land another starter.
- 8:06Speaker 1: The Orioles, for sure.
- 8:08Speaker 2: There's of course you see this and some people just
- 8:10Speaker 2: immediately go what's next and how does this affect the market,
- 8:13Speaker 2: And people are like, oh, Framber.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Valdez is about to get paid huge for his market.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I mean, he's going to get paid, but I don't
- 8:20Speaker 2: necessarily think that he's going to Now go okay, well,
- 8:22Speaker 2: now I'm getting one fifty one, sixty whatever. Framber's older
- 8:25Speaker 2: than Ranger Suarez. This contract covers aged thirty four. Excuse me,
- 8:30Speaker 2: age thirty to thirty four seasons for Ranger Suarez, who
- 8:33Speaker 2: also entered free agency with a very low innings total
- 8:37Speaker 2: for a starting pitcher seven hundred and sixty two innings.
- 8:40Speaker 2: So you can look at it as, hey, this guy
- 8:42Speaker 2: is a little bit injury prone. Last season was his
- 8:45Speaker 2: top season innings wise in the majors at one fifty
- 8:47Speaker 2: seven and a third. Or you can say, hey, Mileoje
- 8:49Speaker 2: on the arm pretty good, so Framber can't play that game.
- 8:52Speaker 2: He's been super solid and consistent, and that's good. You
- 8:54Speaker 2: get durability there. But he's also, I believe two years older.
- 8:57Speaker 2: That doesn't mean that he's going to get more guaranteed dollars.
- 8:59Speaker 2: In are Suarez, I would actually take the under on
- 9:02Speaker 2: his guaranteed dollars.
- 9:05Speaker 4: I think somebody goes four years, one twenty right there,
- 9:08Speaker 4: I do math right for you.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Ranger.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Yeah, Ranger got twenty six a year, four more four
- 9:16Speaker 4: more years, I mean four more million a year for
- 9:19Speaker 4: Framber knowing he's making these thirty two starts. Dude, those
- 9:22Speaker 4: guys there's been some very mediocre pitchers who have not
- 9:27Speaker 4: even sniffed the resume that Framber Valdez has that made
- 9:34Speaker 4: every one of their starts that get nice contracts. So
- 9:38Speaker 4: to do it, to do what Framber's done, and the
- 9:42Speaker 4: fact that you know he makes his starts, there's there's
- 9:46Speaker 4: an extreme value there. The two years I think. I
- 9:49Speaker 4: think basically they'll push him to four. He probably wanted five.
- 9:52Speaker 4: You know, he looks at other guys that are signing
- 9:55Speaker 4: free agent picture contracts to thirty seven to thirty eight.
- 9:59Speaker 4: I get, But I would agree with you that to
- 10:01Speaker 4: guaranteed money, it might even be it might even be
- 10:04Speaker 4: one thirty. Somebody might go, okay, four years, one thirty,
- 10:07Speaker 4: but teams are just so reluctant to give more than
- 10:11Speaker 4: five years.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Hey, make good eats at home part of your twenty
- 10:16Speaker 2: twenty six New Year's resolution.

- 11:13Speaker 2: number one meal kit, Hello Fresh. I do want to
- 11:16Speaker 2: throw this out there. Anybody that's like, oh, the Orioles
- 11:19Speaker 2: are screwed. They are totally in a corner now with
- 11:23Speaker 2: fran Bervaldez. Hold up, hold up for a sec. I
- 11:26Speaker 2: completely agree. They need one more starter, and they're going
- 11:28Speaker 2: to get one more starter. Let me throw a few
- 11:30Speaker 2: other options out there. I don't think they're going to
- 11:33Speaker 2: land Freddy Peralta, but it's not out of the realm.
- 11:35Speaker 2: They've done this before with Corbin Burns, and it actually
- 11:38Speaker 2: worked out really well for them. They got Corbin, he
- 11:40Speaker 2: had a great year. He shoved in that one postseason start.
- 11:43Speaker 2: It wasn't his fault that they didn't continue to advance.
- 11:46Speaker 2: But that's just one option. Here's another. Zach Gallon is
- 11:50Speaker 2: still a free agent. I like Zach Gallon as a
- 11:52Speaker 2: bounce back guy. In his last two months of this
- 11:54Speaker 2: past season were good. I would rather sign him. So
- 11:56Speaker 2: there's another one. Trade options. There are still more than that.
- 12:00Speaker 2: There's still rumblings that Nick Pavetta might get dealt, and
- 12:02Speaker 2: I think he would pitch well there. So there are
- 12:05Speaker 2: other options for the Oreos beyond from Barbaldez. Clearly they've
- 12:08Speaker 2: had discussions and they're not yet on the same page
- 12:12Speaker 2: on a contract.
- 12:13Speaker 1: But when I see people be like, oh, they're screwed,
- 12:16Speaker 1: this is their only option.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Now, that's just not the case. That's not how teams
- 12:19Speaker 2: operate anymore. That's how they create leverage. They go, we don't.
- 12:22Speaker 2: There are times when a team's like, damn, we really
- 12:25Speaker 2: need this guy, and I feel like the Yankees are
- 12:27Speaker 2: in that spot with Bellinger. But in most other cases,
- 12:29Speaker 2: it's like we have three or four other starting pitching
- 12:32Speaker 2: options that we can look at in the trader free
- 12:34Speaker 2: agent we.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Can make a case that they're not that much worse
- 12:36Speaker 3: than you.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, our projections have you five percent better to you know,
- 12:41Speaker 2: So I'm just throwing that out there. It would be nice,
- 12:43Speaker 2: that would be a nice fit for Baltimore, but they
- 12:45Speaker 2: are not ride or die on that scenario. Zach Gallon's
- 12:50Speaker 2: going to land somewhere and I think pitch really well
- 12:52Speaker 2: for a team and he can handle whatever scenario.
- 12:54Speaker 1: And I think he wants to be on the East Coast.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I was gonna say he might be the guy who
- 12:59Speaker 4: may makes out the best after this Ranger deal. Like
- 13:04Speaker 4: you look at his numbers, Everyone's gonna say, well, what
- 13:08Speaker 4: happened this past year? It's terrible. You know, last year
- 13:12Speaker 4: the twenty four he made twenty eight starts, So you
- 13:16Speaker 4: know what's going on there? Do the Diamondbacks know something
- 13:18Speaker 4: that everyone else doesn't know? To me, I think he's
- 13:23Speaker 4: he possibly could get rate in the same range as
- 13:26Speaker 4: Ranger because of the fact that he was making his
- 13:29Speaker 4: starts way better, way better numbers than Ranger. In the
- 13:33Speaker 4: regular season he's been three times, he's been top five.
- 13:37Speaker 4: I think in the cy Young voting hasn't been there
- 13:40Speaker 4: last two years, so that will drop his value. But
- 13:44Speaker 4: I think people are putting too much stock into what
- 13:47Speaker 4: he just did and not the full body of work.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Agreed, which is why he might have to do one
- 13:52Speaker 2: of those higher A the opt out situations, and then
- 13:56Speaker 2: hit the market one more time.
- 13:57Speaker 3: But I'd love to get Gallon on to talk about this.
- 14:00Speaker 1: We will, I mean not.
- 14:01Speaker 2: You don't talk to guys when they're going through this,
- 14:03Speaker 2: but afterwards we try to talk to them. But for
- 14:05Speaker 2: the Red Sox, I mean, hey, they they have taken
- 14:07Speaker 2: a different turn with pitching, and a good one with
- 14:09Speaker 2: pitching under Craig Breslow. That's one part that he's done
- 14:12Speaker 2: a nice job with. And this isn't the ultimate stuff
- 14:14Speaker 2: guy either. This is the six pitch mix, low walk, command,
- 14:18Speaker 2: control fields, his position really well holds runners right. Like,
- 14:22Speaker 2: this is a different type of pitcher that deserves to
- 14:25Speaker 2: be paid just because he doesn't blow you away with stuff.
- 14:29Speaker 1: So I think that's cool.
- 14:30Speaker 2: And my last point is that I think the Red
- 14:32Speaker 2: Sox are officially over there Chris Sale contract PTSD because
- 14:36Speaker 2: it didn't work out after he signed the big deal
- 14:39Speaker 2: and then they trade him away and then he becomes
- 14:41Speaker 2: a stud again. And now they've given out big money
- 14:44Speaker 2: to Gragrett Crochet last year and to Ranger Suarez. So
- 14:49Speaker 2: good for Boston, good pivot, good.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yep. Media can get off of them a little bit.
- 14:56Speaker 1: It's not even media.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Fans can get off of them a little bit too
- 14:58Speaker 2: and be like, okay, okay, I understand.
- 15:01Speaker 1: They've done things this offseason. They're not just sitting around.
- 15:04Speaker 2: We are announcing pieces of our spring training tour. We
- 15:08Speaker 2: are going to be in both Florida and Arizona, just
- 15:12Speaker 2: like last year.
- 15:12Speaker 1: We're not giving you dates and teams just yet. We're
- 15:15Speaker 1: working on that.
- 15:16Speaker 2: But one thing we can give you is the start
- 15:19Speaker 2: of the spring training tour, and that includes something that
- 15:22Speaker 2: we talk about somewhat frequently on this show, and that's
- 15:25Speaker 2: the Playmaker's Classic, which is one of the biggest charity
- 15:29Speaker 2: events of the year in baseball and it involves by
- 15:33Speaker 2: far the most players you'll ever see at an event.
- 15:35Speaker 1: And we will be there in Arizona.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I'm not promising which of the cast of many FT
- 15:41Speaker 2: characters will be there, although I can promise this guy,
- 15:45Speaker 2: but we will be there. FT will do shows from
- 15:48Speaker 2: your Playmakers Classic. I probably will not be there. Yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 2: do you know that I am likely not doing almost
- 15:56Speaker 2: anything on site.
- 15:58Speaker 3: For the Spender rating for me, it's better for you
- 16:01Speaker 3: to be around you.
- 16:01Speaker 2: It's better for the players, it's better for technology in
- 16:05Speaker 2: case a team has that minor league WiFi and most.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Of them are good, but not all of them.
- 16:12Speaker 2: But also you know how you do your thing in
- 16:14Speaker 2: between you're talking to a guy and then he comes
- 16:16Speaker 2: to down. Who's going to be there on the side
- 16:18Speaker 2: to just keep us going? I guess my role, Hey,
- 16:22Speaker 2: I got to take the hit Crafts. Somebody can't go
- 16:24Speaker 2: and have fun on the road in Florida and spring
- 16:27Speaker 2: training and in Arizona.
- 16:29Speaker 1: So actually it's it's me and you.
- 16:32Speaker 4: That's exactly That's exactly what aj AJ's built for.
- 16:36Speaker 3: That.
- 16:36Speaker 4: That's why aj will never be a manager of a team,
- 16:39Speaker 4: because you can't go to visit everybody while you're being
- 16:43Speaker 4: a manager. He's a travelman. He can't be a travelman.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yes, you can, Crafts because Kevin Kiermeyer wants to do it.
- 16:49Speaker 3: He wants to work for all thirty teams at the
- 16:51Speaker 3: same time. So why can't you do it? Why can't
- 16:54Speaker 3: you do it? I don't understand.
- 16:55Speaker 1: That's going to have to be continued. I can't believe
- 16:58Speaker 1: we had him on on the day.
- 16:59Speaker 4: That that was that was a fail.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I told you I saw him in uh winter meetings, right.
- 17:05Speaker 1: M hm? And he man, did you guys debate or no?
- 17:08Speaker 3: I said, I didn't even want a debate. I just
- 17:11Speaker 3: went up to him and said, hey, I heard we
- 17:13Speaker 3: didn't agree on your idea. I said, you know, let's
- 17:16Speaker 3: come on and let's have a discussion. And he did.
- 17:19Speaker 1: He say okay.
- 17:20Speaker 3: He said okay, but it was and I was like, look,
- 17:23Speaker 3: I hope it works for you. How's it going. He's like, oh,
- 17:25Speaker 3: it's going great. But I was standing there talking to
- 17:28Speaker 3: Katie Blue at the same time. She had walked by,
- 17:31Speaker 3: and she looked at me and goes, that was a
- 17:33Speaker 3: little bit awkward, and I said, well, so we kind
- 17:36Speaker 3: of had. And then I explained the whole thing to
- 17:38Speaker 3: her and she's like, oh, that's why he kind of
- 17:40Speaker 3: looked a little He turned a little like white when
- 17:43Speaker 3: he saw you. Well, and I was like, well, I
- 17:45Speaker 3: don't have any problem with Kevin here. I have absolutely
- 17:48Speaker 3: let me make this great guy. I've always got along
- 17:52Speaker 3: with him. I have no problem with kiirmi Rob just
- 17:54Speaker 3: because I said I don't think what he's going to
- 17:55Speaker 3: do is going to work. And he has other opinions.
- 17:58Speaker 3: I hope it does work because if it works for
- 17:59Speaker 3: him and the crowds can go work for thirty teams
- 18:01Speaker 3: as the catching instructor.
- 18:03Speaker 4: On Thursdays, just on Thursdays.
- 18:06Speaker 3: That's the only well there's thirty thursdays throughout the year,
- 18:09Speaker 3: so we can figure it out.
- 18:10Speaker 1: We can even double up with some teams if they
- 18:12Speaker 1: pay you double.
- 18:13Speaker 3: True. Yeah, true.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I would love to see that debate, and not even
- 18:16Speaker 2: in like I'm saying it, just in a genuine entertainment factor,
- 18:20Speaker 2: just like I'm really anxious to try and get a
- 18:22Speaker 2: ticket to the Trek Schooble Arbitration super Bowl. But I
- 18:27Speaker 2: would love to see Kevin and AJ actually talk out
- 18:31Speaker 2: why this wood and wouldn't work behind the scenes right,
- 18:34Speaker 2: what the we'll do would be? Anyway, I want to
- 18:36Speaker 2: stay on track for.
- 18:37Speaker 3: A second, but also about spring training Arizona and Florida,
- 18:45Speaker 3: and as much as Kratz as we're having fun for
- 18:47Speaker 3: the Playmaker's Classic and all the things we're doing when
- 18:50Speaker 3: I travel around, fun being had is limited because I'm
- 18:55Speaker 3: so damn tired at the end, Like it takes me
- 18:57Speaker 3: a month to recover from the month of ring training
- 19:00Speaker 3: that we do.
- 19:01Speaker 1: It's not like bigger spring training. No, it's more rigorous.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Because especially some teams, like I'll use the Diamondbacks and
- 19:07Speaker 3: your Snake's territory shirt. We had to be at the
- 19:10Speaker 3: Diamondbacks last year like five in the morning. I mean
- 19:14Speaker 3: I got there at six thirty, but the crew had
- 19:16Speaker 3: to be there five. Yeah, okay. And plus I had
- 19:20Speaker 3: to sleep with Michael in the same house condos whatever,
- 19:25Speaker 3: made in the.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Same bed, you guys know.
- 19:27Speaker 3: But it was it was, it was from It wasn't
- 19:30Speaker 3: very far away. That's it was close enough to where
- 19:32Speaker 3: I could hear him.
- 19:32Speaker 2: He has an alarm clock problem, and I think that's
- 19:35Speaker 2: being rectified, gentleman clock.
- 19:38Speaker 3: But I think I don't want to share a bathroom.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Is that what you had to do?
- 19:41Speaker 4: Yes?
- 19:42Speaker 1: Well, guess what we've grown up.
- 19:43Speaker 2: People are buying into our subscriptions on YouTube, and now
- 19:47Speaker 2: I think we can get you hotels same Thank you.
- 19:49Speaker 1: We are upgrading.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Thank you Jesus.
- 19:51Speaker 1: We're going from the minor leagues to a small market team.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Can I get points for that hotel?
- 19:57Speaker 1: I think you can.
- 19:59Speaker 4: Wh what a never never happy?
- 20:03Speaker 1: Gobble them up?
- 20:04Speaker 2: What a country, Florida, Let's hit it show everybody what
- 20:08Speaker 2: they can do if they want to say hi to
- 20:10Speaker 2: the FT team out in Arizona. There's a QR code
- 20:13Speaker 2: that you can hit the fourth annual Playmakers Classic, involbing
- 20:16Speaker 2: a ton of current Major League ballplayers out in Arizona
- 20:21Speaker 2: February eighteenth, and then you can do your whole spring
- 20:24Speaker 2: training experience out there as well. Players trust dot org.
- 20:27Speaker 2: We love that stuff. Charitable as can be.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And now let's charge hold on Before we hold on?
- 20:33Speaker 3: Can we stop before I want to? I gotta say
- 20:35Speaker 3: something And this is way off the topic. I can't
- 20:38Speaker 3: wait to go to Playmakers, but I have to ask Scott.
- 20:40Speaker 3: I know Scott's answer, But Kratz, have you ever played pickleball?
- 20:44Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 20:45Speaker 3: I played today for the first time, Like I actually
- 20:47Speaker 3: played pickle ever first time.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, you did invite me. I would have played.
- 20:52Speaker 3: You played pickleball?
- 20:53Speaker 2: You don't think I play. No, I played tennis. I've
- 20:57Speaker 2: played pickleball and paddles.
- 20:59Speaker 1: My I paddle is awesome. Wait, why aren't we playing paddle?
- 21:03Speaker 1: I want to play.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I play paddle an we're gonna start. But anyways, that's
- 21:07Speaker 3: what sky you irrelevant. I played pickleball this morning for
- 21:11Speaker 3: the first time. I've been on a core and kind
- 21:13Speaker 3: of dinked and pooped dinner, pooped it over the net
- 21:16Speaker 3: and all that. But I actually played today. It was
- 21:18Speaker 3: kind of it was much more fun then I thought
- 21:20Speaker 3: it was going to be, and it was much more
- 21:22Speaker 3: exercise than I thought it would be.
- 21:24Speaker 2: But to me, paddle wipes off the floor, not even close.
- 21:30Speaker 2: It's not even close. So that's why for me, I
- 21:34Speaker 2: was like, yeah, this is this is nice. But I'd
- 21:35Speaker 2: already played paddle first and then played pickleball, and I
- 21:39Speaker 2: was just like, if I'm going to not play tennis
- 21:41Speaker 2: and this is what I'm going to play, I'm playing paddle.
- 21:44Speaker 3: A couple of years ago, I got to go to
- 21:45Speaker 3: the racket. They have a racket convention here, like a
- 21:48Speaker 3: rack at the convention Center, and it was and they
- 21:51Speaker 3: had paddle and I got to play with like one
- 21:53Speaker 3: of the top players in the world. You want to
- 21:56Speaker 3: talk about impressive. Can you even like return from the Yeah,
- 22:00Speaker 3: you can't can because you know it hits the wall
- 22:02Speaker 3: and you bounce it off and all that stuff. But
- 22:04Speaker 3: they just make it look so easy. I'm puffing and
- 22:07Speaker 3: puffing and they know as soon as it's hit it's
- 22:09Speaker 3: going to hit the wall, and I can go up
- 22:10Speaker 3: to the net and do this, and it's like, you.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Know how in paddle you can find those angles where
- 22:15Speaker 2: it's like almost impossible because you're going to smack your
- 22:17Speaker 2: racket against the wall.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I feel like that's what.
- 22:19Speaker 3: No, But yeah, they know how to do yeah, obviously better.
- 22:23Speaker 3: But of course, but pickleball. Listen, I've always made fun
- 22:26Speaker 3: of pickleball and my friends that played pickleball, but I
- 22:28Speaker 3: played it today. I was impressed. It was fun. It
- 22:31Speaker 3: was more fun than I thought it would be.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Totally agreed. Yeah, it's a fun time, all right, so
- 22:35Speaker 2: we'll have to all play. Let's charge.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Charge.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Derek from Pinstripe Territory had a great kickstart to his
- 22:47Speaker 2: episode about the Yankees acquiring Ryan Weathers from the Miami Marlins.
- 22:51Speaker 1: He was like, I thought that the Yankees.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Were going to acquire someone whose dad played as part
- 22:58Speaker 2: of the nineties nine Steve for the Yankees. Cody Bellinger
- 23:03Speaker 2: not a key part, but I'm just saying someone who
- 23:05Speaker 2: played on the team during that time period, and instead
- 23:07Speaker 2: it's Ryan Weathers.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Is that Dave David pitched for the Yankees. But anyway,
- 23:12Speaker 1: here comes a starter. Young starter from the Marlins. Marlins
- 23:15Speaker 1: shedding starters apparently they have too many, and then there
- 23:18Speaker 1: are four prospects going the other way to the Marlins.
- 23:21Speaker 1: What do we think about this one? For the Yanks?
- 23:24Speaker 3: It's a nice rotation piece. Yeah, he can be he could.
- 23:28Speaker 3: They have a lot of lefties now rode on great night,
- 23:32Speaker 3: throw weathers in. When are they getting cold back? He'll
- 23:35Speaker 3: Schlitzler whereas he what's his role?
- 23:37Speaker 1: Those guys aren't all lefties.
- 23:38Speaker 3: I know there's three three of the three of the
- 23:40Speaker 3: five or lefties, and he's probably slide in a fourish
- 23:44Speaker 3: in the rotation four to five ish. So I'd like
- 23:48Speaker 3: this rotation. Uh. I do like this rotation a lot.
- 23:53Speaker 3: And I like the death with Blackburn and Yarborough, who
- 23:55Speaker 3: can do a bunch of different things. And then when
- 23:57Speaker 3: they get cold back, and obviously Redond's not listened to.
- 24:00Speaker 3: He's not healthy right now. But I like this move
- 24:02Speaker 3: and and listen, I don't know anything about the guys
- 24:04Speaker 3: who they gave up for it, but he's a young
- 24:07Speaker 3: lefty controlled arm. I was upside. What's not to like
- 24:10Speaker 3: about this? And if you're the Marlins like this, isn't
- 24:12Speaker 3: this the kind of guy that you want to hang
- 24:15Speaker 3: on to for a couple of years, and if you're trying,
- 24:17Speaker 3: as they said, we're still trying to compete, Like, wouldn't
- 24:19Speaker 3: this be a guy you'd want to try to compete with?
- 24:23Speaker 4: That was that was my whole thought, Like, how did
- 24:26Speaker 4: Ryan Weathers get into the category of Eduard Cabrera and
- 24:31Speaker 4: Sandy al Contra who was supposed to be traded last
- 24:34Speaker 4: year and now he's still there because his value wasn't
- 24:37Speaker 4: where they thought.
- 24:38Speaker 1: It was.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Like to me, I think you can look at you
- 24:42Speaker 4: can look at that depth, you can look at the
- 24:44Speaker 4: pieces they have in the rotation. Obviously, when Rodn and
- 24:48Speaker 4: Cole come back, nobody's taking their spots. But maybe there's
- 24:53Speaker 4: a little bit of a belief in the larger markets
- 24:58Speaker 4: like the Dodgers, like the blue Jays, that oh, we
- 25:03Speaker 4: need to have more than six starters. We need to
- 25:05Speaker 4: have more than six guys who can make a start
- 25:09Speaker 4: in the big leagues for us, and I think this
- 25:11Speaker 4: is a great piece to do that. Now he has
- 25:13Speaker 4: never thrown out of the bullpen. I said that pretty confidently.
- 25:17Speaker 2: And now now he has a little bit, he has
- 25:19Speaker 2: a little bit. Crats fifty five starts fifteen. Relief appearance
- 25:22Speaker 2: is not a lot though, But.
- 25:23Speaker 4: Yes, okay, okay, so he has, but I thought that
- 25:28Speaker 4: was early when he first came up. And now last
- 25:31Speaker 4: year he cleaned up a little bit of his He
- 25:34Speaker 4: remember reading an article about how he cleaned up his health,
- 25:37Speaker 4: and he wanted to be able to stay healthy throughout
- 25:39Speaker 4: the year. The biggest thing for the Yankees here is
- 25:43Speaker 4: the fact that they get three years of control out
- 25:45Speaker 4: of this guy, Like I think that's there's value in that,
- 25:50Speaker 4: And there's value in the fact that they have three
- 25:52Speaker 4: other guys that are currently slotted in that have started
- 25:56Speaker 4: big league games in their bullpen. So you don't resign
- 26:02Speaker 4: Devin Williams, you don't resign Luke Weaver. Maybe they find
- 26:06Speaker 4: lightning in a bottle with one of these guys becoming
- 26:08Speaker 4: a reliever at some point. But I was surprised when
- 26:12Speaker 4: I saw this. I was also surprised when I saw
- 26:14Speaker 4: four guys going back, And what AJ said is exactly
- 26:19Speaker 4: what I thought. I don't know any of those guys' names,
- 26:22Speaker 4: so it probably means the Marlins were kind of looking
- 26:24Speaker 4: for more of a shoot a wider swath against the
- 26:28Speaker 4: wall and see what sticks instead of that one prospect.
- 26:32Speaker 4: That would be a straight up trade for Ryan Weathers.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Yeah. But if you here's the thing, if you're kind
- 26:37Speaker 3: of Ryan Weathers to give you a lot of innings.
- 26:39Speaker 3: His career yan innings is ninety four. Is Edward Carberro
- 26:42Speaker 3: again a least said, someone's recording us, by the way,
- 26:48Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 26:48Speaker 4: Who, but we're always being recorded.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Not normally. They don't tell me before. That's usually hidden wave.
- 26:55Speaker 3: I don't know, but it just goes recording in progress.
- 26:58Speaker 3: This is but I mean, he threw thirty eight innings
- 27:01Speaker 3: in the major leagues last year, eighty six and twenty
- 27:04Speaker 3: twenty four. Yeah, not a strikeout guy. He doesn't even
- 27:07Speaker 3: have a strikeout per inning.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Oh, he was trying to be He was trying to
- 27:10Speaker 4: change his health. He was trying like he did it.
- 27:13Speaker 4: He didn't diet, makeover to lose weight and try to
- 27:17Speaker 4: stay healthy, but didn't.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Innings last year in the big leagues. It didn't work.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Yes, it's a great flyer for the Yankees.
- 27:26Speaker 3: It is a great thing. Again, I don't know who
- 27:28Speaker 3: they gave up. Maybe JJ Cooper obviously knows much more
- 27:31Speaker 3: about that than I do. But yeah, it's it's it's
- 27:34Speaker 3: one of those. It's it's a weird time for the
- 27:36Speaker 3: Marlins unless they know something that someone else doesn't know
- 27:39Speaker 3: to trade a guy with three years of control that
- 27:42Speaker 3: they're does the Marlins have that much pitching in their.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Way think they can just move this guy. They think
- 27:47Speaker 1: they do. I don't, because this is.
- 27:49Speaker 3: The second guy.
- 27:50Speaker 2: You've got Sandy al contract Ury Perez, Braxton, Garrett Max Meyer,
- 27:56Speaker 2: who has needed to get a full.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Run jup given my junk up.
- 28:00Speaker 1: And then they have one of the.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Top pitching prospects in the sport Thomas White, and a
- 28:04Speaker 2: very solid pitching prospect in Robbie Snelling. Those are the
- 28:07Speaker 2: ones that I know somewhat well, right, And so that's
- 28:10Speaker 2: more than five.
- 28:12Speaker 4: But you need a whole organization.
- 28:15Speaker 1: No, I mean there's more.
- 28:17Speaker 3: But but also, okay, let's be let's one hundred percent
- 28:20Speaker 3: of let's be transparent here with this whole thing. None
- 28:23Speaker 3: of those guys, maybe Sandy Eurie Perez is up and
- 28:27Speaker 3: down at times, and he's got.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Stuff, super talented.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Junk was a guy that kind of came out of
- 28:31Speaker 3: nowhere last year. Meyer is a guy they've been talking
- 28:34Speaker 3: about forever and he never has really put it together.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Is this a rotation, like they say, the Marlins, we're
- 28:40Speaker 3: gonna compete with what we got. Is this a rotation
- 28:43Speaker 3: you look at and say it can compete in the
- 28:45Speaker 3: NL East with the Braves, the Phillies, the Mets. I mean,
- 28:50Speaker 3: this to me has all the makings. And listen, and
- 28:53Speaker 3: mcollough did a great job last year, and Idy sorry, sorry,
- 28:57Speaker 3: Clayton McCulla did a great job last year with this team.
- 29:02Speaker 3: But at this moment, right now, they have no they
- 29:04Speaker 3: have limited offense, and they just they don't have any pitching.
- 29:08Speaker 4: Really.
- 29:09Speaker 3: I mean, I know they'll mix a match and do
- 29:10Speaker 3: the things they do, but at some point, you know,
- 29:14Speaker 3: listen to Raise Way and I know Peter Bendix is
- 29:16Speaker 3: a raised guy, but at some point the Rays also
- 29:18Speaker 3: had really good pitchers and really good players.
- 29:21Speaker 1: For a long time. The Marlins think they have all that.
- 29:23Speaker 2: They think they have really good pitching already, and they
- 29:25Speaker 2: don't want people to get in the way, veterans get
- 29:29Speaker 2: in the way of their young products.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Why do they trade Sandy talent?
- 29:33Speaker 1: They don't feel like they're getting the value yet for him,
- 29:35Speaker 1: so they'll trade him.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Why not trade Juri Pres He's been around like two years.
- 29:38Speaker 2: I know, Well that's the thing. You look from a
- 29:40Speaker 2: Marlins perspective and you're like, these guys, I think they're
- 29:47Speaker 2: playing the cell high game.
- 29:49Speaker 1: That's what I think, Krats.
- 29:51Speaker 2: I think they're playing the I don't even know if
- 29:53Speaker 2: you'd call it sell high for weathers. For Edward, no,
- 29:58Speaker 2: I guess I mean for weathers. There are parts of
- 30:02Speaker 2: his game that people like he does. The fifth percentage
- 30:05Speaker 2: doesn't really match the strikeouts, right, He's getting swing and
- 30:08Speaker 2: miss on pitches, but not putting guys away.
- 30:10Speaker 1: So is there a pitch sequencing thing.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Yes, there's obviously health a health component here, But I
- 30:15Speaker 2: mean he throws hard. He's averaging about ninety seven on
- 30:18Speaker 2: his heater. That's upper echelon for a starting pitcher. So
- 30:21Speaker 2: I think the Yankees think they're going to bring someone
- 30:23Speaker 2: in and they're going to be able to either turn
- 30:25Speaker 2: him into an underrated starter or convert him into a
- 30:29Speaker 2: full time bullpen guy. I mean, not to use the
- 30:32Speaker 2: direct example. Here's nothing stuff wise comparison, but Luke Weaver
- 30:36Speaker 2: comes over and was toiling around and then all of
- 30:38Speaker 2: a sudden becomes a high leverage arm for the Yankees.
- 30:42Speaker 3: So anyway, Let's for not forget the most important part
- 30:45Speaker 3: about Ryan Weathers.
- 30:46Speaker 1: His dad.
- 30:47Speaker 3: He married a Gator.
- 30:49Speaker 1: He married a Florida Gator, next Florida Gator. Yeah, I
- 30:52Speaker 1: didn't know that as a volleyball player. Volleyball player.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Okay, So for the Marlins, they clearly feel like they're
- 30:57Speaker 2: in a good spot to just keep shedding starting pitching.
- 30:59Speaker 2: For the Yanks, they get a little depth. I don't
- 31:01Speaker 2: think they're going to do anything else pitching wise. Now
- 31:03Speaker 2: they're going to focus on the Bellinger marriage. Let's hit
- 31:06Speaker 2: Leah sneaking in a little futures on the Braves. Eighty
- 31:17Speaker 2: seven and a half wins over under bet MGM has
- 31:22Speaker 2: them right up in that playoff range. I mean, that's
- 31:26Speaker 2: a playoff team these days.
- 31:27Speaker 1: If you win eighty seven eighty eight games, right right
- 31:32Speaker 1: on that cusp.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Well, I want to say over, but this is really
- 31:36Speaker 3: hard for me. I think that they shored up their
- 31:40Speaker 3: bullpen with Suarez and the Glaciers. They brought Glaciers back.
- 31:43Speaker 3: I think Sales Strider another year off, Tommy John, I
- 31:47Speaker 3: don't see Akunya Albi's, Riley Olsen, all of them having
- 31:51Speaker 3: down years again. They have Drake Baldwin a full year
- 31:53Speaker 3: of profar not on steroids. We'll see how that goes.
- 31:58Speaker 3: I think eighty I think this is eighty eight to eight.
- 32:01Speaker 3: It's a tough division with the Phillies and the Mets,
- 32:03Speaker 3: but I think they're in eighty eight to eighty nine.
- 32:05Speaker 3: So I'm gonna go over.
- 32:08Speaker 4: The Marlins keep trading away their team, so yeah, absolutely,
- 32:11Speaker 4: the Braves are gonna. I think the Braves are gonna.
- 32:14Speaker 4: I think they're an eighty nine win team. I think
- 32:16Speaker 4: this division could have two ninety plus win teams, and
- 32:21Speaker 4: I think eighty seven is a is a good number
- 32:24Speaker 4: to buy the over, I really do. I don't see
- 32:27Speaker 4: how they've just absolutely added to this bullpen. I believe
- 32:33Speaker 4: in this. I believe in this starting starting, you know,
- 32:37Speaker 4: position player or rotation that they got going on, where
- 32:41Speaker 4: now they can mix and match. Not everybody has to
- 32:43Speaker 4: play one hundred and sixty two. As much as they
- 32:45Speaker 4: want to, they don't have to. I think they've given
- 32:48Speaker 4: themselves a little bit more depth, change of voice. I
- 32:52Speaker 4: don't see how this team has to be good enough
- 32:55Speaker 4: to make the playoffs, and I think the playoffs lit
- 32:57Speaker 4: the playoff line is eighty six, So I love the
- 32:59Speaker 4: fact that they they gave us to us right at
- 33:02Speaker 4: that line. So I'm taking the over.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I'm taking the over as well, full healthy season, hopefully
- 33:07Speaker 1: for Acuna bouncebacks.
- 33:09Speaker 2: The rotation really got hit. I know many teams used
- 33:12Speaker 2: the injury excuse. I mean they lost all of their
- 33:15Speaker 2: starters at different times, like they really took a hit.
- 33:17Speaker 1: And wait, here's the X factor.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Last year we talked about it before the season started,
- 33:21Speaker 2: the Gauntlet, and the Gauntlet was even worse than we
- 33:24Speaker 2: thought it was, going out to the West Coast to
- 33:27Speaker 2: face start the Dodgers team feeling themselves and the Padres
- 33:30Speaker 2: and getting just dusted. This year, they start their season
- 33:34Speaker 2: at home and they welcome in the Kansas City Royals,
- 33:37Speaker 2: followed by the Sacramento As. Then they go on the
- 33:40Speaker 2: road to take on the Diamondbacks and Angels. Point is,
- 33:42Speaker 2: and there's some Marlins and Nats Is mixed into the
- 33:44Speaker 2: beginning of their season. Point is, I anticipate a better
- 33:48Speaker 2: start than zero to seven. And I know that it
- 33:50Speaker 2: sounds crazy, but they never really recovered from that.
- 33:53Speaker 1: No, they did not, So I feel that.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Start, especially with all the banged up they were. Lopez
- 33:59Speaker 3: is supposed to be back, right, chmister Arver is supposed
- 34:01Speaker 3: to be back. Schedule matters, schedule matter, especially early in
- 34:05Speaker 3: the years. Sale shsh.
- 34:10Speaker 4: They're gonna be good. Yeah, it's gonna be fun. They're
- 34:12Speaker 4: gonna be good, especially if the Matt ever adds to
- 34:15Speaker 4: their team. It's gonna be really fun.
- 34:18Speaker 2: What wiss Yeah, what Whis's gonna do a great job.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I'm a fan. I think he's going to farewell. All right,
- 34:25Speaker 2: let's tell people what they can do if they want
- 34:28Speaker 2: to throw down on the NBA no sweat token your
- 34:33Speaker 2: steak backing bonus bets up to one thousand dollars. If
- 34:36Speaker 2: your bet doesn't hit, log in, grab the token, use
- 34:39Speaker 2: it on a qualifying NBA bet attached to token in
- 34:42Speaker 2: your bet slip.
- 34:42Speaker 1: That's it. If the bet doesn't win, you get your
- 34:44Speaker 1: steak back in bonus bets. Gambling problem more concerned called
- 34:47Speaker 1: one eight hundred gambler.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Hey may Day with Trevor may firing up right about now,
- 35:04Speaker 2: So we're gonna get off in the next sixty seconds
- 35:06Speaker 2: so you can see what Trevor has to say. Love
- 35:08Speaker 2: that graphic, by the way, that's so freaking good on
- 35:12Speaker 2: the screen. If you're listening on the pod, just tune
- 35:14Speaker 2: into Trevor's show. He is actually going to talk further
- 35:17Speaker 2: about the n season tournament. We had a meeting with
- 35:19Speaker 2: Trevor yesterday and he was like, oh, what should I
- 35:21Speaker 2: do for mace planning?
- 35:21Speaker 1: And we're like, tournament. He was into it.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Then we found out earlier today some other additions to
- 35:28Speaker 2: the WBC. We haven't been doing this on every single show,
- 35:30Speaker 2: but like, remember we learned about bust In Griffin Jackson.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Now was announced today Gabe Spire.
- 35:36Speaker 1: So the Team.
- 35:37Speaker 2: USA Bullpen is starting to round into form. So Spire,
- 35:41Speaker 2: who can try and shut down some lefties?
- 35:43Speaker 3: By the way, is there an easier pick for Tmosa?
- 35:46Speaker 3: And Griffin Jacks who went to the Air Force Academy
- 35:48Speaker 3: and is still in like the Air Force Reserves. Yes,
- 35:51Speaker 3: his wife is in the Air Force Reserves.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Like, come on, Paul Skins is easier, but.
- 35:55Speaker 4: No he's not.
- 35:56Speaker 3: No, he's not. Griffin Jackson actually, like I know was
- 35:58Speaker 3: in the Air Force. Yes, not Paul's didn't go there
- 36:01Speaker 3: for tears actually like in there.
- 36:05Speaker 4: It's so cool to see somebody who like is active
- 36:09Speaker 4: considered active military playing for Team US. I played with
- 36:13Speaker 4: Noah Song when I played in twenty nineteen, Like just
- 36:17Speaker 4: like these guys were focused on our country for four
- 36:20Speaker 4: years in their education, but just how they talk about
- 36:23Speaker 4: everything from standing at attention to the like it just
- 36:27Speaker 4: it gives me chills thinking about listening to Noah who
- 36:29Speaker 4: didn't really say much, but when he did talk, you
- 36:31Speaker 4: were like, yeah, like this is it.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Last one? Dennis Lynn reported during the show.
- 36:38Speaker 2: The Padres have hired Bud Black as a senior advisor
- 36:40Speaker 2: to Baseball Ops, so he's back with the Padres. Will
- 36:42Speaker 2: Myers a special assignment coach in player development, only working
- 36:46Speaker 2: for one team, not thirty. It's twenty twenty six, Dennis
- 36:50Speaker 2: Lynn said, but it feels like twenty fifteen again.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Will Myers and his hair will be serving drinks at
- 36:55Speaker 3: the bar outside of Petco like they did in twenty
- 36:58Speaker 3: twenty two, and they'd be to Dodgers.
- 37:00Speaker 1: And he bought everyone drinks. Right.
- 37:03Speaker 2: We have Mason Miller tomorrow, by the way, speaking of
- 37:05Speaker 2: the Padres, and Grayson Rodriguez is on the schedule tomorrow
- 37:08Speaker 2: as well.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Looking forward, he's ducking me.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you're missing him again. You'll get him.
- 37:15Speaker 2: You'll get him spring training almost spring training in Arizona. There,
- 37:23Speaker 2: you'll get him all right. Good show everyone. Lots of
- 37:25Speaker 2: action today, krat that's on the way out.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Up too late, too late.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Oh come back back? Whoa.
- 37:32Speaker 1: We stopped the fireworks.
- 37:35Speaker 4: You can't stop the fireworks once they started.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Its stings.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Columbus Clipper, Columbus Snakes, Territory Shop dot com Scottie Shirts.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Let's make it a thing. I'm gonna wear all these
- 37:47Speaker 1: team shirt
