like 68 degrees with 6 mile per hour wind. The
• 0:57
sunset will take place at 7 .25, and it will
• 1:00
rise again tomorrow at 6 .04. It looks like we're
• 1:04
in for some mostly sunny weather today, with
• 1:07
a high near 79 and a light northeast breeze around
• 1:11
6 miles per hour. If you're inland, it will hit
• 1:14
a high of 80. Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies
• 1:20
with a low around 65 and light winds around 6
• 1:24
miles per hour. The nearshore gooey at Cape Cod
• 1:28
Bay reads 72 degrees for the water temperature.
• 1:33
Looking ahead in the weather. Thursday is mostly

is brought to you by Versailles Café & Pastries

breeze on through to get your morning coffee.
• 2:30
They are open every day from 8 to 5. So stop
• 2:34
on by and don't forget to tell them. Sunny mornings
• 2:38
send you. In local news, people in Bridgewater,
• 2:43
Massachusetts welcomed the town's youth baseball
• 2:46
team home from the Little League World Series
• 2:48
on Monday. The boys on Bridgewater's little league
• 2:52
team were eliminated Saturday in a 2 -1 loss
• 2:55
to the team from Hamilton, Ohio. The team was
• 2:59
greeted Monday with a celebration at Legion Field,
• 3:02
where families, friends, and community members
• 3:04
held signs and balloons. It was just so fun being
• 3:08
able to play on that big stage, in front of everybody,
• 3:11
spending time with my teammates, just having
• 3:14
the time of my life, said Bridgewater player
• 3:17
Anthony Sullivan. We were already excited to
• 3:20
make it there and then knowing that they're all
• 3:22
proud of us. Just to parade through the town
• 3:25
is just awesome," added teammate JJ Gaff. Now
• 3:33
on to sports. Paige Becker's made history during
• 3:38
the Dallas Wings matchup against the Portland
• 3:40
Fire on Tuesday. She hit a transition three -pointer
• 3:44
early in the third quarter. reaching 16 points
• 3:47
on the night. This achievement places her alongside
• 3:51
Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Plum as the only players
• 3:54
in WNBA history to reach 750 or more points and
• 4:00
200 or more assists in a single season. Becker's
• 4:04
has played 36 games this season, averaging 20
• 4:07
  .6 points, 5 .8 assists, and 4 .1 rebounds. Her
• 4:13
efforts have kept the Dallas Wings in playoff
• 4:15
contention with a record of 22 -16. In local
• 4:20
sports, the Red Sox are rolling. Boston blew
• 4:24
out the Marlins 7 -3 last night in Miami. Jaren
• 4:29
Duran unloaded a grand slam, and Nikki Gasper
• 4:33
went deep twice. That is good for a fifth straight
• 4:37
  win, 8 of the last 10, and a record of 73 -59.
• 4:42
Boston is up two games to none in this series
• 4:45
and goes for the sweep tonight. Sunny Gray takes
• 4:49
the mound against Marlins' righty Ryan Gusto
• 4:52
with first pitch at 640. One thing to watch,
• 4:57
catcher Adley Ruepschmann sat out Tuesday with
• 5:00
elbow discomfort. Nothing serious, but expect
• 5:03
Boston to rest him regularly with a Yankees series
• 5:07
looming this weekend. On the gridiron, the Patriots
• 5:11
wrap up preseason Thursday at Cleveland, and
• 5:14
it's really about who makes the roster. Wide
• 5:17
receiver is the crowded spot, with seven players
• 5:20
for what's usually five or six spots. There's
• 5:24
also a scare at running back, with Travion Henderson
• 5:27
getting tests on his ankle after slipping in
• 5:30
practice Monday. Meanwhile, the Celtics enter
• 5:33
next season under a cloud of skepticism. ESPN
• 5:37
projects Boston at just 48 in 34, a fifth seed
• 5:42
in the east, leaning on a fully healthy Jason
• 5:45
Tadam to prove that wrong. In top news, SpaceX,
• 5:52
led by Elon Musk, has unveiled Starbase Louisiana
• 5:56
as a high -cadence launch site for its Starship
• 5:59
rocket, designed to transport cargo such as Starlink
• 6:03
satellites and orbital data centers. The facility
• 6:07
is projected to support thousands of Starship
• 6:10
launches annually, targeting Earth's orbit, the
• 6:13
Moon, and Mars. Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry
• 6:16
announced that SpaceX will invest $100 billion
• 6:20
in construction, set to begin in 2027, with launches
• 6:25
aimed for 2029. Musk noted that Starbase will
• 6:29
have over a dozen launch towers, enabling more
• 6:32
than 30 Starship flights daily. Additionally,
• 6:36
Musk shared an updated timeline for AI -powered
• 6:39
satellites set to launch from Starbase in the
• 6:42
fourth quarter of 2027. In business news, Bitcoin
• 6:48
and crypto stocks extended their rally to start
• 6:51
the week after the flagship cryptocurrency broke
• 6:54
out of its trading range as investor concern
• 6:57
over inflation and the fiscal deficit grew. On
• 7:01
Monday, the price of Bitcoin was higher by more
• 7:04
than 1%, trading just under $80 ,000 at levels
• 7:08
not seen since May. Heather rose 2 % to about
• 7:12
$2 ,470, trading near its highest level since
• 7:17
January. Investors are wondering if this rally
• 7:20
could mark a turning point for Bitcoin, which
• 7:23
has been stuck in a prolonged slump since October.
• 7:26
Ray Dalio warned that major economies could face
• 7:29
a debt crisis within the next several years,
• 7:33
recommending investors hold a bid of Bitcoin.
• 7:37
In crypto movement, Bitcoin is down 2 % to $79
• 7:41
  ,000. Ethereum is down 2 % to about $2 ,000.
• 7:48
And XRP is down 5 % to $1 .45. Moving on to a
• 7:54
more local vibe. In our community spotlight on

back to the show. Let's talk science. Over 200
• 8:44
million migratory birds are hitting the sky this
• 8:47
week. The full migration is in full swing. and
• 8:51
BirdCast predicts that these birds will begin
• 8:53
their long journey towards their wintering grounds
• 8:56
over the next two nights, August 25th and 26th.
• 9:01
BirdCast's daily forecast maps show predicted
• 9:04
nighttime migration patterns, updated every six
• 9:07
hours. On August 25th, expect the largest concentration
• 9:12
of birds around Minnesota, North Dakota, and
• 9:15
South Dakota. On August 26th, Iowa, Missouri,
• 9:20
Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas should see the highest
• 9:23
concentration of birds. You can help migrating
• 9:26
birds by adding film to windows, planting native
• 9:29
plants, keeping cats indoors, and turning off
• 9:32
excess lights. And in entertainment news, the
• 9:39
X -Men are officially taking over Disney, plus

• 10:31
It's time for the quote of the day. And today,
• 10:36
our quote comes from the American poet and author,
• 10:39
Emily Dickinson. And she said, Hope is the thing
• 10:43
with feathers that perches in the soul and sings
• 10:46
the tune without the words and never stops at
• 10:49
all. And that's a wrap for this morning. You
