- 0:00Hey, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. It is December 25th when this is releasing,
- 0:04which means that the craziness of December is wrapping up.
- 0:09Everybody is preparing for the new year, looking forward to fresh goals,
- 0:14dreams, hopes, all of those things that we want for the new year.
- 0:18And there's this magical little space in between Christmas and New Year's,
- 0:22and it is probably my favorite time of the entire year.
- 0:25Number one, I feel like I almost always have books to catch up on.
- 0:30I set my reading goal fairly high every year for, I don't use Goodreads anymore, I use Storygraph.
- 0:36And so I'm like trying to cram in as many books as I can before midnight on
- 0:40January or December 31st, so I can hit my reading goal.
- 0:44But it's also the time to plan. And I get out my new planner.
- 0:47If you have not yet gotten your planner, I still love, my favorite one is the
- 0:50Dream Planner from Horatio Printing. I get out my planner and I plot out my next year.
- 0:55It's just, I love it. It's a break from the regular everyday life. I love this week.
- 1:01So welcome back to the Health with Hashimoto's podcast.
- 1:04My name is Esther. I am a registered nurse, busy mom of four.
- 1:07I have a lot on my plate, as I'm sure you do.
- 1:11And with all of that, sometimes improving your health just starts to feel completely overwhelming.
- 1:17Do you ever struggle to find time for self-care? Do you ever wonder where to
- 1:21start, like there are so many things that you could do or that the internet
- 1:25or somebody says that you should do in order to have better health,
- 1:29but you don't even know where to start.
- 1:31If you are saying yes to those things, that is exactly why I created the Simple Habits program.
- 1:36I love creating programs and courses for you, especially if I can make them super simple.
- 1:42Like one of my courses, the Holistic Hashimoto's course, it is a fairly robust course.
- 1:47It's four weeks long, but I still try to make every single week,
- 1:51every single thing in there simple because I know that you don't have the brain
- 1:55space for really complex things.
- 1:57But this program that I made the Simple Habits program.
- 2:00I made it to help when you are feeling overwhelmed with tons of information.
- 2:06I made it for people who feel like the shoulds of health are kind of just like
- 2:12a burden on them. They don't know where to start.
- 2:14I made this program for people who are just there, they have decision fatigue.
- 2:20One of the people who went through it in the past, she said,
- 2:23I make so many decisions all day long, and it feels overwhelming to decide what
- 2:29to do for actual progress. And she was talking about progress in her health.
- 2:33And then there's also the feeling like you're doing it on your own,
- 2:37and you want accountability, or maybe you want a cheerleader,
- 2:40maybe you want a coach, all of those things combined that I made the Simple Habits Program.
- 2:47So I'm going to tell you all about this program.
- 2:49Stay tuned all the way to the end, because I'm going to tell you how to enroll.
- 2:53Enrollment is open now through January 4th.
- 2:57It closes on Saturday the 4th because the program starts on Sunday,
- 3:02January 5th, and I'm not accepting anybody late.
- 3:05So I'm going to tell you how to enroll. I'm also going to tell you how to get
- 3:08it two different ways for free.
- 3:10And I have been told by some coaches, you have to make it simple,
- 3:15only give people one way, but I feel like you are smart.
- 3:19I feel like if you are listening to me, if we are having this conversation right
- 3:23now, obviously it's a one-sided conversation because I can't hear you.
- 3:26If we're having this conversation, you are pretty smart. You are able to make
- 3:29decisions and to know what best fits your life.
- 3:33So I am going to give you a couple different ways to enroll.
- 3:37One way is to pay, and then there's two ways to get this as a free bonus.
- 3:42All right, so let me tell you about the Simple Habits program.
- 3:44I started the program on a whim.
- 3:47It was literally on a whim in the middle of summer.
- 3:50I had just signed up to use a texting software. I wanted to try it out for you,
- 3:56for my podcast listeners, for my course people.
- 3:58I wanted to try it out. And I thought, what better way to try it out than to
- 4:03run a quick habit program?
- 4:05And when I said quick, I said, oh, let's make it 12 weeks. Why not?
- 4:09And so I made a Facebook post. I made a picture, a quick, found it on Unsplash,
- 4:15a picture of, you know, a stack of rocks.
- 4:17And I put a quick quote about how your habits build over time and it's consistency that matters.
- 4:24I don't remember the exact quote now. I posted it on Facebook and I said,
- 4:28who wants to join me in a 12-week Simple Habits program?
- 4:32This will be all via text and it will start. And I gave it a starting date.
- 4:39And then I went to the pool with my kids. We were going up to my aunt and uncles that day.
- 4:44My kids were just like anxious to go like, mom, are you done?
- 4:46Are you done? Let's go, mom. Are you done on your computer? Are you done working?
- 4:49And so I closed down the computer. I went up to the pool.
- 4:53We had a good day about midway through our pool day.
- 4:57I checked Facebook and I had so many people already saying, yes,
- 5:02I definitely need this program.
- 5:05And so in my first initial run, I had about 90 women who went through it.
- 5:11So I have a lot of stories to share with you about what people said,
- 5:16and why they signed up and what they gained from it.
- 5:19But let me tell you a little bit about just the program itself.
- 5:23I am going to give you small, manageable steps. It's all about simple habits.
- 5:30In fact, when I asked about what drew you to this program, one of my friends,
- 5:36one woman, she responded, simple, period. That was it.
- 5:40That is what she needed. She needed it completely simple and manageable.
- 5:46And that is what you can get.
- 5:47So every single week on Sunday, I give you a new habit.
- 5:51And it's always very simple. It's always something that you can do in five to
- 5:5510 minutes or less, you know, sometimes 30 seconds.
- 5:59How long does it take to read a text? Not very long. It will take you that long
- 6:02to implement for most of them.
- 6:05And then also on Sunday, I give you an image with the habit so that you can
- 6:12use it as a wallpaper on your phone if you want.
- 6:14I find that that helps me if I'm switching up my habits.
- 6:18All of a sudden, I'm glancing at my phone and I see the picture like,
- 6:21oh, yeah, I am supposed to, you know, take a deep breath.
- 6:24And so I take a deep diaphragmatic breath, relax my jaw, relax my tongue,
- 6:27and boom, I've lowered my stress level in about, you know, 30 seconds.
- 6:33In addition to making everything very simple and easy to implement,
- 6:39this program also gives you accountability and encouragement.
- 6:43On Wednesdays, I'll send you another text. And sometimes it's a fun fact.
- 6:48Sometimes it's a bit of an encouragement.
- 6:49Sometimes it's a bit more information that I didn't give you on Sunday that
- 6:55I feel might help you implement better.
- 6:57Like I gave you the pertinent stuff on Sunday, but now I'm helping you go a little bit deeper.
- 7:01And so on Wednesday, you get that text. And then on Friday, I check in.
- 7:06And I'm not asking you so that we can like check a box, like you get an A, you get a B, you get an F.
- 7:13No, I'm asking so that we can celebrate wins together.
- 7:17That's one thing I really worked on in this program is celebrating the accomplishments,
- 7:22not looking for what we failed at.
- 7:25And there are some people who were not able to implement very much,
- 7:31and they still felt like the program was good.
- 7:35Ruth said, The only barrier I found was my own limits in participating.
- 7:40However, I never felt pressured or shamed if I had to do less at times.
- 7:44I received the same upbeat and cheerful attitude that inspired me at the beginning.
- 7:50And Ruth, before that, she said that the only reason or the biggest reason that
- 7:57she joined was, well, let me read it to you in her own words.
- 8:00She said, I want to be healthier.
- 8:02Having a cheerleader is the only method that is successful for me.
- 8:05You have that unique balance of both celebrating progress, even if small,
- 8:10while still challenging me to try harder and keep going.
- 8:13It's definitely a rare and valuable approach.
- 8:16So that is why she joined the program. And then, you know, at the end,
- 8:21she said, even if she didn't accomplish what she wanted in a week,
- 8:25she still felt valued is how I would interpret that.
- 8:29And you are valuable, no matter what you are able to accomplish.
- 8:33You are valuable because you are you.
- 8:34And I hope that does come through in my texts.
- 8:38So on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, the texts are automated. I set them up.
- 8:43You know, I worked really hard on those. But anytime you text me, I text you back.
- 8:48That is like me tapping it out with my thumbs. I'm celebrating you. I am encouraging you.
- 8:53I am commiserating with you when things happen. I am praying for you if you
- 9:00need that kind of support.
- 9:01I am here for you when you are part of the Simple Habits program.
- 9:05It was so fun to come alongside people.
- 9:09And the people who live locally.
- 9:12I'm going to tell you, I went into church one day, I was in the office making
- 9:15some copies before Sunday school, getting ready for my class.
- 9:19And one of the people at church walked in and she gave this huge hug.
- 9:23And she said, thank you. And I'm thinking like, what, wait, what did I do?
- 9:27She's like the Simple Habits program.
- 9:29And she went on to tell me how she has been so busy. She hasn't responded to
- 9:33my texts in weeks, but she's still getting them and she's reading them,
- 9:37and they are so encouraging, and they're helping her in her health journey.
- 9:41And she gave me that huge hug just to say thank you for that present.
- 9:45And I've got to say, like recording this and reading off some of these testimonials
- 9:50and things that people have said to me, it feels kind of awkward.
- 9:53It feels like tooting my own horn.
- 9:55And that is really not me. My husband told me yesterday that I need to hire
- 9:59a marketer because I don't do that very well.
- 10:03But I want you to know that the Simple Habits Program can make a huge difference in your life.
- 10:08And the best way to do that is by telling you stories of people who have already experienced it.
- 10:14So over the course of the 12 weeks, we are going to cover a lot of different
- 10:18areas because you know I want you to be healthy as a whole person.
- 10:22And I consider that body, mind, spirit, diet, and environment.
- 10:26So over the course of those 12 weeks, we're going to do a couple of weeks that
- 10:30are focused on more dietary things. We're going to focus on your immune system.
- 10:34We're going to focus on your stress load.
- 10:38Due to these things, due to how they're all coming together,
- 10:42we are going to help you improve your immune system, which is important for
- 10:46everybody, especially people with autoimmune problems.
- 10:51We need a healthier immune system.
- 10:53I am going to help you through this program release weight. We don't want to
- 10:58lose weight because then you can find it again. We want to release it.
- 11:01So this Simple Habits program will help you release weight. The Simple Habits
- 11:06Program is also going to help you reduce stress.
- 11:09Over the course of the 12 weeks, you will effortlessly build a healthier lifestyle
- 11:14because we're implementing small, manageable habits that fit right into your daily routine.
- 11:20Every single week, yep, you'll be getting that new habit and you'll be creating
- 11:25a powerful ripple effect.
- 11:27So one participant said, I liked the idea of having help building small habits
- 11:33in small ways that ultimately equal to big changes in the long run.
- 11:37It's hard for me to look at the big end goal and know how to break it down into
- 11:41smaller, more manageable habits to create the long-term change I'm looking for.
- 11:46This program helps me do that.
- 11:49In another message, she said that she didn't have a specific plan of what she wanted to work on.
- 11:55And so many times when she would get that Sunday text, she'd think,
- 11:58oh my gosh, I need to work on that. I've been thinking about that.
- 12:01So it definitely is going to hit you where you need it.
- 12:05Linda said that it became like a little game to challenge myself.
- 12:10Liz said, I implemented less than I wanted, but even when I didn't quote do
- 12:15everything, the texts and reminders and the asking for my input was very helpful
- 12:20in keeping healthy choices top of mind instead of going months without focusing.
- 12:25That was from Liz. And did you know that most people give up on their New Year's
- 12:29resolutions by mid-January. I don't want that for you.
- 12:34I want you to be able to make changes and to keep those changes.
- 12:40After finishing the program, Carrie said, I am overall calmer and I'm also learning
- 12:45to focus on self-care and that even a little bit of time for myself counts.
- 12:50Sometimes I feel like I have to do big things or make changes to take care of
- 12:54myself. I have a different perspective now.
- 12:58I have a couple more to read to you. One participant, I'm not going to list
- 13:01her name. She had a very, very, very rough year.
- 13:05She lost relationships, very, very important relationships.
- 13:10She lost some important people in her life due to death. There were so many
- 13:16things. She lost her housing.
- 13:17There are so many things that happened over the course of her year.
- 13:22And she said this, I will keep going back to these small bite reminders I have learned daily.
- 13:28They are certainly extremely helpful and more manageable for me than the long
- 13:33courses on trauma and anxiety that I can't seem to focus on for long periods of time or complete.
- 13:39Thank you so very, very much. I so, so appreciate you and I'm grateful.
- 13:44Keeping the gratitude reminders needs to be key for me too.
- 13:47She signed off with a little heart.
- 13:50And somebody else said, I appreciate all your encouragement about life in general
- 13:55and looking at things in a new light. It makes me a better person.
- 13:59So I'm sure you're wondering, okay, the Simple Habits program sounds amazing.
- 14:04How can I sign up? Let me tell you, like I said, I have three different ways
- 14:08for you to get this because I want to get it to as many people as possible.
- 14:13And I believe that you are smart, that you can listen to these three options.
- 14:19You can make the best decision for you.
- 14:21Now, the first way to get it is just to purchase the Simple Habits program.
- 14:25You're going to go to healthwithhashimoto's slash resources and everything is going to be on there.
- 14:31So healthwithhashimoto's.com slash resources.
- 14:34Everything will be there.
- 14:36The cost of the program is $97, which is not as much as they said it was worth.
- 14:43Participants said it was worth $300 and $400. Like I said, I really want to
- 14:48make this accessible for a lot of people.
- 14:50So it is $97, healthwithhashimoto's.com slash resources. You will find all of the options there.
- 14:56The second way to get it is by enrolling in the Holistic Hashimoto's course.
- 15:01I know that this is on a lot of people's radar.
- 15:04And after Christmas, when it starts the new year, people are like,
- 15:07that is when I'm going to do the course.
- 15:09I don't want to make you decide between doing the Holistic Hashimoto's course
- 15:15and the Simple Habits program. They go so well together.
- 15:19They really complement each other. You will be able to do both of these and
- 15:22they will both work better because you're doing them together.
- 15:26And so I want to be able to, you know, let you do that.
- 15:30So you're going to pay for the Holistic Hashimoto's course and you will get
- 15:35the Simple Habits program as a bonus.
- 15:38And that is if you enroll in the Holistic Hashimoto's course before January 4th.
- 15:45You have to do all of these things before January 4th. That is the deadline
- 15:49for the Simple Habits program.
- 15:51Now, of course, you can sign up for the Holistic Hashimoto's course after January 4th.
- 15:56It is available every single day of the year.
- 16:00But to get the Simple Habits program as a bonus, you have to sign up before
- 16:06January 4th or before evening on January 4th.
- 16:11And the second way to get it as a bonus is another thing that I know a lot of
- 16:18people listening to this podcast really, really want to start.
- 16:21And that is the Protandim NRF2 and the MindBody GLP-1 system.
- 16:26You've heard me talk about the Protandim NRF2 for probably since like towards
- 16:32the beginning of the podcast.
- 16:34And that is because it activates your body to do what it's supposed to do.
- 16:38And in doing so, it helps address so many of the root causes and triggers of Hashimoto's.
- 16:44So the Protanum NRF2 is an activator I encourage everybody to be on.
- 16:50And in the healthy weight stack, it is bundled with the MindBody GLP-1 system.
- 16:56Now I've done a whole bunch of episodes, I guess five.
- 16:59It feels like a whole bunch on the mind-body GLP-1 system and what that does in your body.
- 17:05The GLP-1 hormone, how that helps regulate your hormones.
- 17:08Obviously, it affects your blood sugar. But then when your blood sugar is balanced,
- 17:12that has a trickle-down effect and helps other things.
- 17:15The GLP-1 in your body increasing, that helps with your hunger, your satiety.
- 17:20It helps with your mental focus. It helps with cravings. Oh my goodness.
- 17:24I have to tell you, I love milk duds.
- 17:26Like I know they're not very good for you, but it is my favorite candy right
- 17:30now. And I keep a box hidden in my room so that my kids won't eat it.
- 17:34Well, I usually get out like five milk duds, five to 10, and I set them,
- 17:38you know, next to me and I put the box away and then I eat my milk duds thinking,
- 17:43okay, this is all I'm going to have.
- 17:45Well, I finished those milk duds and then I get the box back out of hiding and
- 17:48I have some more and I repeat that like two or three times. Can you relate to that?
- 17:52Like, it's just ridiculous. Every time I'm like, okay, I'm putting the box away
- 17:55and I'm not going to get it back out.
- 17:57And then before I stand up, I've gotten the box out and I've gotten some more Milk Duds out.
- 18:01Well, the other day I poured out five Milk Duds and I ate two and I was like,
- 18:06those were good, but I don't think I need another one.
- 18:09This is really weird. So I had a third one just to make sure.
- 18:12And I ate that third one. I'm like, no, I don't need another one.
- 18:14And I got the box out of the hiding place and I put Milk Duds back in the box.
- 18:20That is how my sugar cravings have changed.
- 18:24My willpower has increased. Like all of a sudden, I have willpower again.
- 18:28It is the craziest thing.
- 18:31Crazy in a good way. Crazy as in like this is how your body is designed to work.
- 18:35This is how your body and mind are designed to work together.
- 18:38So the healthy weight stack is those two products, the MindBody GLP-1 system
- 18:43and the Protandim NRF-2 put together so that you get the benefits.
- 18:47Because one thing that happens as you start to release weight,
- 18:50your fat cells protect you from some of the chemicals and toxins that your body
- 18:55hasn't had time to deal with.
- 18:57So it stores them away, kind of like puts them in bubble wrap.
- 18:59Well, as you release weight, those are back into circulation.
- 19:03And so you absolutely have to be able to deal with that.
- 19:07And that is one thing that the protanum NRF2 helps with. It helps with your detox pathways.
- 19:13So those are stacked together with a healthy weight stack to get this Simple Habits program.
- 19:19As a bonus, you will subscribe to the Healthy Weight Stack.
- 19:25And make a commitment to use it for at least three months.
- 19:28And ideally, you're using it every single day because that's how it's working.
- 19:31So that is the third way that you can get this Simple Habits program.
- 19:37Because like I said, I know that people who listen to this podcast want all three of those things.
- 19:42Now, I might not know you personally and know which of those you want the most.
- 19:46I don't know if you have had the Holistic Hashimoto's course on your bucket
- 19:50list. Like, I really want to do this in the new year.
- 19:52I don't know if the MindBody GLP-1 system has been on your list of things to
- 19:58investigate and to start using.
- 19:59I don't know if you had the Protandem NRF2 on your list of, oh my goodness, I want to try this.
- 20:05I don't know which of those applies to you, but I 100% know that the Simple
- 20:10Habits program is such a great complement to those things.
- 20:15So those are the three ways that you can get the Simple Habits program.
- 20:18The link is down in the show notes, of course, or healthwithhashimoto's.com
- 20:22slash resources, and all three options are there.
- 20:25So once again, you can get the Simple Habits program on its own for $97.
- 20:30You can get it as a bonus when you sign up for the Holistic Hashimoto's course,
- 20:34and you can get it as a bonus when you sign up for the Healthy Weight Stack on subscription.
- 20:41And you do have to use my affiliate link in order to get this as a bonus.
- 20:45If you know somebody else who sells or is an affiliate for LifeVantage,
- 20:50their link will not get you the Simple Habits program. You have to get it through me.
- 20:54All right, so that's how you can get started with the Simple Habits program.
- 20:58Again, we are going to start on the first Sunday in January.
- 21:02I cannot wait to be texting you and hearing from you, hearing how you're doing,
- 21:08how you're growing, how your life is changing, how your health is increasing
- 21:12over the course of these 12 weeks.
- 21:14I will see you next week on the Health with Hashimoto's podcast and hopefully
- 21:19on your phone with the Simple Habits program.
- 21:22This podcast is for informational and educational purposes only.
- 21:25Please discuss any concerns and plans with your trusted healthcare professional.
- 21:29If you found this episode helpful, will you please share it with a friend?
- 21:33I'll see you next week on the Health with Hashimoto's podcast.
- 21:36Music.
