- 0:59Speaker 2: High Radio podcast. This is verse by verse. You know
- 1:03Speaker 2: what we do. We go through the word of God,
- 1:06Speaker 2: one verse, one chapter at a time. And today we're
- 1:10Speaker 2: moving into Jeremiah chapter 20. We're going from verse one
- 1:15Speaker 2: all the way to verse six. Jeremiah has been faithfully
- 1:18Speaker 2: delivering God's message, but now the opposition gets personal. Now,
- 1:25Speaker 2: there is a high priest called Asher. Hopefully I'm pronouncing
- 1:30Speaker 2: his name right, who was also an officer in the
- 1:33Speaker 2: house of the Lord. Now, here's Jeremiah prophesying about the
- 1:39Speaker 2: coming judgment. And instead of repenting, Asher has Jeremiah beaten
- 1:46Speaker 2: and put into stocks. Jeremiah is about to experience something
- 1:53Speaker 2: every person serving God needs to understand. Doing what God
- 1:58Speaker 2: called you to do doesn't mean everybody is going to
- 2:01Speaker 2: treat you well. Sometimes obedience comes at a cost. So
- 2:10Speaker 2: if Jeremiah the prophet went through it, what makes us
- 2:13Speaker 2: think that we're going to avoid it altogether, right? And
- 2:20Speaker 2: of course, as always, I want you to meet us
- 2:22Speaker 2: in a live chat. And how you do that, download

- 3:35Speaker 2: godly counsel and advice join both the live chat in
- 3:40Speaker 2: the community We are here to help you. This is
- 3:43Speaker 2: an interactive podcast. Our goal is to see everyone cross
- 3:50Speaker 2: that finish line. And the Bible tells us the engrafted
- 3:53Speaker 2: word is able to save our souls. And so that's
- 3:56Speaker 2: what we're about. We are all about the word of
- 4:00Speaker 2: God on this podcast. Now, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we
- 4:05Speaker 2: just ask, oh, Lord, that you would be pleased. We ask, Lord,
- 4:09Speaker 2: that you would join us. We ask, O Lord, that
- 4:13Speaker 2: you will lead us, give us the reign of word,
- 4:18Speaker 2: give us understanding, O God. We ask, O God, that
- 4:21Speaker 2: you'll touch every listener, O God, who will come on
- 4:23Speaker 2: this podcast. We ask that you'll touch everyone that will
- 4:29Speaker 2: click on the link and log into the live chat.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Let there be a blessing waiting for them, O God.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Everyone who will visit the website and download the app,
- 4:38Speaker 2: O God, and get involved, O God, with our organization, Lord.
- 4:42Speaker 2: We ask for youth, young adults, people of all ages,
- 4:46Speaker 2: oh God, to be blessed and get a blessing out
- 4:48Speaker 2: of it. We ask, oh God, that the destinies will
- 4:52Speaker 2: be changed, that people will get saved, set free, and delivered.
- 4:57Speaker 2: We ask all this in Jesus' name.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Amen.
- 5:02Speaker 2: All right, family, let's dive right into it. So I'm
- 5:10Speaker 2: going to start in verse one. It's like you lost
- 5:12Speaker 2: another one. Now, Asher, the son of Imur, the priest
- 5:21Speaker 2: who was also chief governor of the house of the Lord,
- 5:25Speaker 2: heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things. Okay. All right. So
- 5:33Speaker 2: we have a whole new character who is coming on
- 5:38Speaker 2: the scene. Now, remember, Jeremiah isn't speaking his own message.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Jeremiah is delivering what God told him to say, but
- 5:51Speaker 2: Asher doesn't like the message at all. Now, Jeremiah's message
- 6:02Speaker 2: was increasingly unpopular because he was warning Jerusalem about judgment.
- 6:10Speaker 2: And calling the people to repentance. Now, religious leaders or
- 6:16Speaker 2: religious leadership, should I say, was not receptive to Jeremiah's
- 6:24Speaker 2: message because his message challenged the people's false confidence. And
- 6:30Speaker 2: it also exposed their very own disobedience. Now, this is
- 6:37Speaker 2: important because sometimes the hardest people to reach aren't people
- 6:42Speaker 2: who don't believe God. Sometimes they're the people that are
- 6:48Speaker 2: hard to reach who think are the people who think
- 6:51Speaker 2: that they already have things figured out. Right. Asher was
- 6:59Speaker 2: a priest. Now he was serving God. in the house
- 7:05Speaker 2: of the Lord, but being around religious things doesn't automatically
- 7:10Speaker 2: mean you're willing to hear God's correction. You can be
- 7:17Speaker 2: around the word and still you can reject the word.
- 7:22Speaker 2: That is how deceptive our hearts can be. We cannot
- 7:29Speaker 2: trust our very own heart, beloved. Amen. Verse two. Then
- 7:40Speaker 2: Asher struck Jeremiah the prophet and put him in the
- 7:44Speaker 2: stocks to wear it to wear in the high gates
- 7:50Speaker 2: of Benjamin, which was by the house of the Lord. Now,
- 7:57Speaker 2: this brother was bold. So verse two says right here
- 8:04Speaker 2: that Asher, this priest, right? He smoked the prophet and
- 8:12Speaker 2: put him in stocks. Now, Jeremiah wasn't just merely criticized
- 8:18Speaker 2: by him. He was physically beaten and he was publicly humiliated.
- 8:26Speaker 2: And after that, he was locked up. Now, imagine being
- 8:32Speaker 2: Jeremiah at this point. You obey God. God calls you
- 8:37Speaker 2: at a young age. God gives you a difficult task
- 8:42Speaker 2: and he empowers you to do so. And you are
- 8:45Speaker 2: faithful to God and you deliver the message. And no
- 8:51Speaker 2: doubt Jeremiah had hope that people would take heed the message,
- 8:55Speaker 2: repent and avoid judgment. But what does he get? He
- 9:02Speaker 2: gets beaten. And a night in the stocks. Now, this
- 9:10Speaker 2: is where the reality of ministry hits for most of us.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Sometimes we think. If I'm doing God's will, everything should
- 9:18Speaker 2: be OK with me, right? Everything should work out. That
- 9:23Speaker 2: is not what scripture teach, beloved. Sometimes you're doing exactly
- 9:28Speaker 2: what God told you to do. And things still get difficult.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And I am a witness. Doing Club His Hop for
- 9:39Speaker 2: seven years, I thought that the people in the community,
- 9:44Speaker 2: especially the church community, would welcome this. This was effective
- 9:49Speaker 2: in reaching the youth. People all over the city came
- 9:53Speaker 2: out to our events until things turned. Pastors, disobeyed their
- 10:01Speaker 2: youth from coming over and people that we once helped
- 10:06Speaker 2: turned against us. That was heart-wrenching. Jesus never promised his
- 10:15Speaker 2: followers that obedience would would make life easy at all.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Faithfulness isn't measured by how comfortable your life is. Sometimes
- 10:25Speaker 2: faithfulness means standing firm when standing firm costs you everything.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Let me say that again. Sometimes faithfulness will make you
- 10:38Speaker 2: stand firm when you know if you stand firm on
- 10:43Speaker 2: God and his word, It could potentially cost you everything.
- 10:47Speaker 2: It could cost you relationships. It could cost you ministry. Amen.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Verse 3. And it happened on the next day that
- 11:02Speaker 2: Asher brought Jeremiah out of the stocks. And Jeremiah said
- 11:07Speaker 2: to him, the Lord has not called your name Asher,
- 11:12Speaker 2: but Maggar Mishib. I know I probably butchered that. Magor Mishib.
- 11:27Speaker 2: All right. If you got the correct pronunciation, you're feel
- 11:30Speaker 2: free to post it in the live chat, right? So
- 11:37Speaker 2: here the next day, Jeremiah is released. Jeremiah gives Asher
- 11:42Speaker 2: a new name. Now, that name means essentially fear on
- 11:54Speaker 2: every side. Wow. Now, I've seen it in the Bible
- 12:00Speaker 2: where God would change the names of his people that
- 12:04Speaker 2: he's working with. Like, Abram became Abraham. And Jacob became Israel.
- 12:14Speaker 2: But this was done because judgment was going to happen
- 12:21Speaker 2: to this priest, to this prophet. Or should I say
- 12:25Speaker 2: false prophet? Now, Jeremiah explains that this is what the
- 12:30Speaker 2: Lord has called him. Fear on every side is what
- 12:34Speaker 2: his name means. Asher thought he was the one putting
- 12:40Speaker 2: Jeremiah in fear. But Jeremiah tells him that fear is
- 12:45Speaker 2: actually coming upon him and upon the whole entire nation.
- 12:52Speaker 2: That is strong. You cannot intimidate God at all. Now,
- 12:59Speaker 2: there's an important lesson here. People can temporarily control your circumstances.
- 13:05Speaker 2: But Asher could not put Jeremiah. I mean, he can
- 13:10Speaker 2: put Jeremiah in the stocks. And he can beat them
- 13:13Speaker 2: and he can even humiliate them. But Asher couldn't stop
- 13:17Speaker 2: God's word at all. So you can imprison a messenger,
- 13:24Speaker 2: but you can't imprison God's truth. Now, let that encourage
- 13:30Speaker 2: those who have been incarcerated for the gospel sake. Maybe
- 13:36Speaker 2: you're listening to this podcast right now. Maybe you're a
- 13:40Speaker 2: missionary overseas. You may be in China or Europe somewhere
- 13:47Speaker 2: and you were locked up.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Or even in the United States, we're not exempt. Persecution
- 13:59Speaker 2: could very well become an our way. But even though
- 14:03Speaker 2: they imprison us, they cannot stop God's truth. God's word
- 14:10Speaker 2: doesn't become less true because somebody doesn't like to hear it. Amen.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Let that encourage us that God's truth can never be stopped. Amen.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Verse four, for thus says the Lord, behold, I will
- 14:33Speaker 2: make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends.
- 14:40Speaker 2: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies,
- 14:45Speaker 2: and your eyes shall see it. I will give all
- 14:49Speaker 2: Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and
- 14:53Speaker 2: he shall carry them captive to Babylon and slay them
- 14:57Speaker 2: with the sword. Wow, that is a strong word right there.
- 15:08Speaker 2: This word means judgment is coming.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Amen.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Jeremiah tells his Asher guy, right? That God will make
- 15:20Speaker 2: him a terror to himself and to his friends. Now
- 15:24Speaker 2: he would see his friends fall by the sword. That
- 15:29Speaker 2: had to have been terrifying and horrendous. Imagine your friends,
- 15:35Speaker 2: your loved ones, Just getting killed right in front of you.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I mean, I would hate to bring up a traumatic incident.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Maybe some of you have, you know what it feels like.
- 15:50Speaker 2: And I would not take light of that at all.
- 15:53Speaker 2: But for the sake of this podcast and being faithful
- 15:56Speaker 2: to the word of God, this is what God's word
- 16:00Speaker 2: says to this false prophet here. Right? All his friends
- 16:07Speaker 2: and family members will fall by the sword. Now Judah
- 16:12Speaker 2: will be delivered into the hands of the king of Babylon.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Now this is the very message Asher had been resisting.
- 16:28Speaker 2: And he's confronted with this message even after he beats
- 16:34Speaker 2: Jeremiah and puts them in stocks. Now I need y'all
- 16:39Speaker 2: to look up stocks. That's where basically it's like two
- 16:44Speaker 2: pieces of wood. One goes from the bottom up where
- 16:51Speaker 2: you put your head and your hands through. The other
- 16:54Speaker 2: one comes from the top down going over your head,
- 16:58Speaker 2: over your neck and hands. You're basically in this position.
- 17:04Speaker 2: And he was in this position 24 hours all night.
- 17:08Speaker 2: That had to have been uncomfortable and painful, right? But
- 17:15Speaker 2: he did this and he attempted to silence Jeremiah because
- 17:18Speaker 2: he didn't want to hear the prophecy of judgment. But
- 17:23Speaker 2: the judgment Jeremiah announced was still coming. Now, rejecting the
- 17:29Speaker 2: message does not change the reality of what God has declared.
- 17:37Speaker 2: When you say that again, rejecting the message does not
- 17:40Speaker 2: change the reality of what God has declared in the
- 17:45Speaker 2: United States. My prayer is that this country will wake
- 17:49Speaker 2: up before it is too late. Now, we need to
- 17:55Speaker 2: remember this ignoring, ignoring a warning doesn't make the danger
- 18:01Speaker 2: disappear at all. If the smoke alarm goes off and
- 18:08Speaker 2: you turn it off because you don't like the noise,
- 18:11Speaker 2: what does it that doesn't mean that the fire is gone?
- 18:16Speaker 2: The warning is there for a reason. God's word sometimes
- 18:23Speaker 2: tells us things are not or things. I mean, what
- 18:30Speaker 2: I'm trying to say is God's word sometimes tells us
- 18:33Speaker 2: things that we don't want to hear. Right. But that's
- 18:38Speaker 2: exactly why we need it. We don't need to be
- 18:43Speaker 2: around people that just tells us what we want to
- 18:45Speaker 2: hear all the time.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Right.
- 18:49Speaker 2: We don't need a Bible that simply tells us we're
- 18:52Speaker 2: doing everything right. We need God's word to correct us
- 18:57Speaker 2: when we are wrong. And that is why we push
- 19:02Speaker 2: the accountability partner segment, because we know that even in
- 19:07Speaker 2: this very book, the book of Jeremiah tells us that
- 19:12Speaker 2: the heart is wicked and desperately, the heart is evil
- 19:15Speaker 2: and desperately wicked. Who can know it? And that's why
- 19:19Speaker 2: sometimes it's good to have a faithful brother or sister
- 19:23Speaker 2: who knows the word that they can bring us back
- 19:27Speaker 2: and they could remind us what, Thus says the Lord.
- 19:33Speaker 2: In a personal testimony, I had to reset on my
- 19:38Speaker 2: family last night. Our family, sometimes there's six of us,
- 19:46Speaker 2: my wife and I, and we are raising four children together.
- 19:49Speaker 2: and sometimes my wife and I we don't see eye
- 19:53Speaker 2: to eye and so you know our pastor calls it
- 19:58Speaker 2: intense fellowship sometimes we have disagreements and we try not
- 20:06Speaker 2: to disagree in front of the children but Sometimes you
- 20:09Speaker 2: just can't help it. And so my wife and I
- 20:13Speaker 2: were having a discussion, one of these intense fellowships, didn't
- 20:18Speaker 2: actually know our daughters were going at it. And so
- 20:27Speaker 2: we had to pull the daughters in the room. And
- 20:33Speaker 2: my wife was like, okay, well, what should the punishment be?
- 20:37Speaker 2: And I had to pause for a minute. I'm like,
- 20:39Speaker 2: wait a minute. We just got into it. We cannot
- 20:44Speaker 2: blame them for getting into it as well. We don't
- 20:47Speaker 2: know how to get it right and be the good
- 20:50Speaker 2: example in the home and correct our stuff. How are
- 20:54Speaker 2: we going to correct the children? And so I called
- 20:57Speaker 2: the whole family in the house and said, look, we
- 21:00Speaker 2: need to hold hands. We need to forgive each other.
- 21:03Speaker 2: We need God. We need to repent. We need to
- 21:05Speaker 2: get it right. We called upon the name of the Lord.
- 21:08Speaker 2: And I'm telling you, the Lord showed up. So, beloved,
- 21:13Speaker 2: if your household is getting out of hand, if your family,
- 21:17Speaker 2: your children are just fighting and it just doesn't make sense.
- 21:21Speaker 2: If there's no peace, things are just going on. Well,
- 21:26Speaker 2: why don't you grab everybody in the room, hold hands
- 21:30Speaker 2: and pray and ask God for a reset. See what happened.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Watch him show up. Call upon the name of Jesus
- 21:39Speaker 2: and ask God for forgiveness. I had to repent. And
- 21:44Speaker 2: I am grateful and thankful that God gave us another chance,
- 21:50Speaker 2: another opportunity. We need to do this before it's too late, beloved,
- 21:54Speaker 2: because we truly believe that the Lord is soon to return. Now,
- 22:00Speaker 2: in church yesterday, The teacher was teaching and the scripture
- 22:08Speaker 2: was brought up that one, two will be in the
- 22:11Speaker 2: field and one will be taken and one will be left.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And how that's a 50% ratio. 50% of the people
- 22:20Speaker 2: who call themselves Christians who go to church and who
- 22:23Speaker 2: are involved in religious activity will be left behind. This
- 22:27Speaker 2: is what the Bible says. So how much more Do
- 22:33Speaker 2: we need to make sure that we're ready? Amen. That's
- 22:38Speaker 2: one of the reasons why we go verse by verse,
- 22:40Speaker 2: because the only thing that will help us grow spiritually
- 22:44Speaker 2: is God's word. Hallelujah. So if you guys tune in
- 22:49Speaker 2: every day at 11, Monday through Saturday, here on the
- 22:53Speaker 2: His Heart Radio podcast. Amen. All right. Verse five. We
- 23:05Speaker 2: got a couple of more, two more verses to go, beloved. Moreover,
- 23:10Speaker 2: I will deliver all the wealth of this city, all
- 23:15Speaker 2: its produce and all that its precious things, all the
- 23:21Speaker 2: treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into
- 23:25Speaker 2: the hand of their enemies who will plunder them, seize
- 23:30Speaker 2: them and carry them to Babylon. Wow, it would be
- 23:37Speaker 2: horrible if that would happen to us as a nation.
- 23:41Speaker 2: We know how prosperous this country has been over the years.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Just imagine our enemies coming and just taking all of
- 23:51Speaker 2: our possessions. Now, Jeremiah, he's telling Azure that God would
- 23:58Speaker 2: deliver the wealth of the city to its possessions, and
- 24:03Speaker 2: its treasures into the hands of Babylon. The things Judah
- 24:09Speaker 2: treasured and trusted in would not save them at all.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Their wealth could not protect them. Their city would not
- 24:21Speaker 2: protect them. Their religious position could not protect them from
- 24:28Speaker 2: this judgment. Their political power is not able even to
- 24:34Speaker 2: protect them, the things that they trusted in. Now we
- 24:37Speaker 2: can put confidence in a lot of things. We could
- 24:41Speaker 2: put confidence in our money, our career, our house, our position,
- 24:46Speaker 2: our platform, our reputation, our success in business, even in
- 24:54Speaker 2: our own ministry. But none of these things should become
- 25:01Speaker 2: our ultimate source. of security. Everything on earth can change.
- 25:08Speaker 2: God is the only constant. God is the only one
- 25:12Speaker 2: who will not switch up on us.
- 25:14Speaker 4: Amen.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Verse six, and you Asher and all who dwell in
- 25:23Speaker 2: your house shall go into captivity. You shall go to
- 25:29Speaker 2: Babylon and And there you shall die and be buried there.
- 25:36Speaker 2: You and all your friends to whom you have prophesied lies. Wow,
- 25:46Speaker 2: could you imagine this? You have this great religious position
- 25:52Speaker 2: and you try to shut up this prophet and you
- 25:57Speaker 2: hear a prophecy like this. Now he finishes by telling
- 26:06Speaker 2: Asher that he and everyone living in his household would
- 26:10Speaker 2: go into captivity. And Jeremiah specifically says, thou has prophesied lies.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Asher had been part of a system that gave people
- 26:28Speaker 2: a false sense of security. Instead of confronting their sin,
- 26:35Speaker 2: they were telling people that they wanted to. They were
- 26:40Speaker 2: telling the people what they wanted to hear. The Bible
- 26:43Speaker 2: calls is itching ears, right? That's one of the most
- 26:50Speaker 2: dangerous things a spiritual leader can do. Tell people everything
- 26:55Speaker 2: is fine. When God is saying you need to change.
- 27:01Speaker 2: That's one thing I do love about my church. They're
- 27:05Speaker 2: always calling people to change, always calling people to come
- 27:10Speaker 2: to repentance. Amen. There is a difference between encouragement and
- 27:17Speaker 2: false reassurance. True biblical encouragement doesn't ignore sin at all.
- 27:27Speaker 2: It points people towards repentance, restoration, and towards Jesus. Sometimes
- 27:35Speaker 2: the most loving thing you can tell somebody is you
- 27:40Speaker 2: need to get things right. And that's exactly what we
- 27:45Speaker 2: said to the children last night. That if Jesus came today,
- 27:51Speaker 2: do you think you would be ready? Do you think
- 27:55Speaker 2: you'd be ready to face? God's judgment. Do you think
- 27:59Speaker 2: you would make it into the kingdom? We were honest
- 28:03Speaker 2: enough to say that we probably would all miss the kingdom.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you hear me here on this podcast, you
- 28:11Speaker 2: hear me preaching and teaching the word of God, I'm
- 28:14Speaker 2: not exempt. I could miss if I allowed myself to
- 28:19Speaker 2: get deceived, if I get complacent in pursuing God and
- 28:23Speaker 2: seeking God, if I allow Other things become more important
- 28:28Speaker 2: than my relationship with God. I can slip right into
- 28:33Speaker 2: hell just like anybody else. The word of God tells
- 28:38Speaker 2: us to abide in Christ. Who are you abiding in?
- 28:44Speaker 2: Where are you abiding? We don't believe in one saved,
- 28:48Speaker 2: always saved. That is from the pits of hell. It
- 28:50Speaker 2: doesn't make sense once you think about it. Because if
- 28:53Speaker 2: you can just say a prayer and still live a
- 28:55Speaker 2: life of sin, then what was the point of the cross?
- 29:01Speaker 2: I am daily trying to submit and surrender. I am
- 29:05Speaker 2: daily trying to put my flesh down and allow the
- 29:09Speaker 2: spirit to lead. And I tell you what, I get
- 29:14Speaker 2: more out of these Bible studies probably than anyone else.
- 29:17Speaker 2: This is feeding my soul. I'm just taking y'all along
- 29:22Speaker 2: for the ride. This is engrafting the word in my heart.
- 29:25Speaker 2: These are things that I need to confront myself with. Amen.
- 29:31Speaker 2: The leader should be the first partaker. Now, let's get
- 29:40Speaker 2: back to the lesson here. Don't let opposition silence you
- 29:44Speaker 2: at all. Jeremiah chapter 21 through six teaches us several
- 29:49Speaker 2: important lessons right here. Obedience doesn't guarantee popularity. Jeremiah was faithful.
- 29:59Speaker 2: And he was still attacked. We esteem him as one
- 30:03Speaker 2: of the major prophets in the Bible. We study his word.
- 30:08Speaker 2: But look at how his peers taught him in his day. Also,
- 30:14Speaker 2: religious position doesn't guarantee spiritual obedience. Asher was a priest.
- 30:22Speaker 2: But he opposed God's message as a priest. God's truth
- 30:30Speaker 2: doesn't change because people reject it. Jeremiah was beaten, but
- 30:37Speaker 2: the message remained true. It doesn't matter what happened to
- 30:41Speaker 2: the prophet. The message was still the message. False reassurance
- 30:47Speaker 2: can be very dangerous. We need God's truth, not merely
- 30:54Speaker 2: words that make us feel comfortable. Earthly security is temporary. Money, possessions, positions,
- 31:06Speaker 2: your job, your promotion, power, political power, all of that
- 31:12Speaker 2: cannot replace God at all. So our choice, the only
- 31:18Speaker 2: choice we have is to stay faithful when obedience becomes difficult.
- 31:26Speaker 2: That's when your faithfulness matters the most when it's more
- 31:33Speaker 2: difficult than ever to be faithful to God. All right,
- 31:38Speaker 2: let's take a break, y'all.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Nothing, nothing too good for love. Nothing, nothing too good
- 31:56Speaker 3: for love.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Yeah, and I just gotta be me when I walk
- 32:01Speaker 4: in the room. I'm fine. Only give truth, but I
- 32:03Speaker 4: can't show pride. My life a movie and I don't
- 32:06Speaker 4: know why.
- 32:06Speaker 2: I can feel low and I'll.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Still go high.
- 32:09Speaker 4: Wake up fresh, squeeze juice with the ice. I done
- 32:11Speaker 4: said a prayer twice and I'm trying to move nice.
- 32:13Speaker 4: I don't want to lose life, so I'm trying to
- 32:14Speaker 4: do right. I don't want to lose sight, so I
- 32:16Speaker 4: only choose light.
- 32:17Speaker 2: I'm free.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Found maturity in the trials life bring. Found security when
- 32:21Speaker 4: I found my king. My insecurities left in 2019 But
- 32:24Speaker 4: I can't find purity if I still like trees Going
- 32:27Speaker 4: through the motions Trying to find peace in a piece
- 32:29Speaker 4: when I'm hopeless I ain't going dorset, I'm just being
- 32:31Speaker 4: open Trying to find another mechanism I can cope with
- 32:34Speaker 4: But anywho, I ain't proud to be moving like a
- 32:36Speaker 4: senator Shut it down, try to move like a winner
- 32:39Speaker 4: do Talk to God, I'm like, give me something new
- 32:41Speaker 4: to do. Got the job, I ain't even do no
- 32:43Speaker 4: interview chosen. Remember all the days when the prayer life
- 32:46Speaker 4: was frozen. Now I'm on stage and my prayer life
- 32:48Speaker 4: be open. Now it be in motion. Now I see
- 32:50Speaker 4: the fruits of it, think I found a potion. Now
- 32:52Speaker 4: I'm living good. Everything great, like child understood. Everything straight,
- 32:56Speaker 4: ain't nobody understood. Had to change states, now it's looking
- 32:58Speaker 4: like it should. Cut off every snake, got that dirt
- 33:01Speaker 4: off my slate. Got that work off my plate, I'm
- 33:02Speaker 4: too worried about my faith. I don't worry about no hate,
- 33:04Speaker 4: don't be spending every day. Put that money in the bank,
- 33:07Speaker 4: when I'm tempted I just pray. After that I gotta skate.
- 33:09Speaker 4: I just gotta, I just, I just gotta be me G-O-D,
- 33:12Speaker 4: don't be worried about what everybody see What they think,
- 33:14Speaker 4: don't be worried about what everybody preach These days it's
- 33:17Speaker 4: a reach, everybody wanna speak Uh-huh, these days everybody wanna
- 33:20Speaker 4: be Uh-huh, these days everybody wanna leave Uh-huh, these days
- 33:24Speaker 4: everybody tryna leap So I stay up out them streets,
- 33:26Speaker 4: I just worry about me Be elite, be the one
- 33:28Speaker 4: they all know me to be Uh-huh, be the one
- 33:30Speaker 4: God told me to be Uh-huh, be the one that
- 33:32Speaker 4: I was chosen to be Yeah, I just gotta be
- 33:37Speaker 4: I just gotta be me I just gotta be me. Yeah.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Gotta be me. Gotta be.
- 34:16Speaker 4: I got to be me and you got to be you.
- 34:18Speaker 4: Comparison only a theme for your happiness. You got to
- 34:21Speaker 4: know how to move. Comparison only leave you with unhappiness.
- 34:24Speaker 4: You got to focus on you. Don't follow the trends
- 34:26Speaker 4: and try to get friends. You don't got to do
- 34:28Speaker 4: what they do. You don't got to follow the money.
- 34:30Speaker 4: You don't got to follow the dollar. If you want
- 34:33Speaker 4: to get to the money, it's better to follow the father.
- 34:36Speaker 4: Don't got to follow the lust. Don't want to see
- 34:38Speaker 4: what's inside it. The lust make you want to touch
- 34:42Speaker 4: until you.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Feel that it's fire.
- 34:43Speaker 4: You gotta, you gotta stop, drop the roll, but get
- 34:45Speaker 4: up and still be on fire. Ain't it annoying to
- 34:47Speaker 4: stop when you on the road to learn that the
- 34:49Speaker 4: devil a liar. That'd be Delilah. Ain't it annoying when
- 34:52Speaker 4: people that know you don't even support when you grind it.
- 34:55Speaker 4: You got to stay on your toes, stay in compose,
- 34:57Speaker 4: stay in alignment. You got to call on the Father
- 35:01Speaker 4: when you need some help. Strengthen your mental and physical health.
- 35:04Speaker 4: You only become what you think of yourself. You got
- 35:06Speaker 4: to put down the idols that's holding you hostage. Watch
- 35:08Speaker 4: and delete what you felt. Don't try to be no
- 35:10Speaker 4: one else. You be yourself. I be myself. I got
- 35:13Speaker 4: to be me. I got to be me and you
- 35:15Speaker 4: got to be you. Comparison only a thief in your happiness.
- 35:19Speaker 4: You got to know how to move. I got to
- 35:20Speaker 4: be me. I gotta be me and you gotta be you.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Comparison only leave you with unhappiness. You gotta focus on you.
- 35:27Speaker 4: I gotta be me. I gotta be me and you
- 35:30Speaker 4: gotta be you. Don't follow the trends and try to
- 35:33Speaker 4: get friends. You don't gotta do what they do. I
- 35:35Speaker 4: gotta be me. I gotta be me and you gotta
- 35:38Speaker 4: be you. If God put you in this world, it's
- 35:40Speaker 4: something we need that he put in you.
- 35:42Speaker 2: You gotta be me.
- 35:49Speaker 3: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas.
- 35:52Speaker 2: This is the HizHop Radio Show. All right, all right.
- 36:37Speaker 2: We are back from that break that was carrying a
- 36:40Speaker 2: light with you, me. You got to be you. I
- 36:44Speaker 2: got to be me. Amen. Before the Lord on our
- 36:47Speaker 2: music break here on the podcast. And right now, I
- 36:50Speaker 2: want to give a huge shout out to our live chat.
- 36:55Speaker 2: and to our community we got a great update we
- 36:59Speaker 2: want to share with you guys but we'll wait for
- 37:01Speaker 2: that when we get to the community shout out segment
- 37:07Speaker 2: I'm going to shout out Zone 3 I want to
- 37:09Speaker 2: shout out our brother Corinth for showing up and everybody
- 37:13Speaker 2: else who's been popping into the live chat and also
- 37:16Speaker 2: check out our community we can do a little bit
- 37:19Speaker 2: more in our community we could go back over stuff
- 37:24Speaker 2: uh that we've done you know weeks ago in a
- 37:27Speaker 2: live chat it only goes so far in the history
- 37:30Speaker 2: we could upload video upload pictures we just made it
- 37:35Speaker 2: an actual community our little social media platform so we're
- 37:43Speaker 2: trying to provide tools and you know who says that
- 37:47Speaker 2: serving god can't be fun right It's time for the
- 37:56Speaker 2: accountability partner segment. One of my favorite segments on here,
- 38:00Speaker 2: because I know that when we're interacting and we're actually
- 38:05Speaker 2: putting God's word into practice, there is a built in
- 38:08Speaker 2: blessing to that. So we give out a daily challenge
- 38:13Speaker 2: and today's challenge is ask your accountability partner. Is there
- 38:17Speaker 2: an area where I'm compromising what I believe because I'm
- 38:21Speaker 2: afraid of how people will respond? I believe we all
- 38:28Speaker 2: deal with this as Christians, right? Now we got to
- 38:31Speaker 2: be honest with each other. Sometimes we're not actually confused
- 38:37Speaker 2: about what God wants. We're just afraid of what people
- 38:42Speaker 2: will think if we obey him. And then the answer
- 38:48Speaker 2: to that is ask God for courage. Amen. Ask him
- 38:53Speaker 2: for courage. There's nothing wrong with saying that I'm afraid
- 39:00Speaker 2: to step out in faith. That's what faith is all about.
- 39:06Speaker 2: But don't forget that God will supply you the strength
- 39:11Speaker 2: that we lack. Amen. Also, I want to let you
- 39:17Speaker 2: know that His High Radio is a monitored and a
- 39:19Speaker 2: reporting radio station. We don't just play music over the internet.
- 39:25Speaker 2: We do monitor. We do chart. and yes we do
- 39:32Speaker 2: keep record collect data every time your song is played
- 39:40Speaker 2: on our station you can look it up type in
- 39:44Speaker 2: his hot radio and you can see what's getting played
- 39:48Speaker 2: on our stations So if you have a project you
- 39:52Speaker 2: want to get out there, you want to get exposure,
- 39:56Speaker 2: I believe it's a great witness if Christian hip-hop takes
- 39:59Speaker 2: over the charts. Amen. It's a powerful art form. Then
- 40:05Speaker 2: go over to our website, hishopnation.com. Hit the submissions tab.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Submit your music. We just recently had some music submitted
- 40:15Speaker 2: to us from... artists this particular platform who works this
- 40:22Speaker 2: particular person he works closely with the stellar awards and
- 40:28Speaker 2: so he decided to check out our promo packages our
- 40:32Speaker 2: advertisement our services and we're excited to be able to
- 40:36Speaker 2: service people like this so yes if you're thinking about
- 40:42Speaker 2: it don't hesitate our prices will not break the bank
- 40:46Speaker 2: very affordable And we're out here to lift up our genre.
- 40:58Speaker 2: All right. Also, it's time for our His Hop Bible
- 41:03Speaker 2: Trivia Challenge. Let's see who's going to be crowned the
- 41:08Speaker 2: new trivia champion this week. So the challenge is today.
- 41:24Speaker 2: is what new name did Jeremiah give Asher and what
- 41:29Speaker 2: did that name mean? You'll need to actually open the
- 41:34Speaker 2: passage and go over the scriptures that we just went
- 41:41Speaker 2: over and dig a little bit. But the question is,
- 41:46Speaker 2: what new name did Jeremiah give Ask her. I know
- 41:53Speaker 2: I'm probably just butchering his name up. Please forgive me.
- 41:59Speaker 2: And what does that mean? The first one to post
- 42:03Speaker 2: this in a live chat will be the trivia champion
- 42:07Speaker 2: for today. All right. It's time for the community shout out.
- 42:19Speaker 2: I want to give a huge shout out to the LVBNM,

- 46:26Speaker 2: to let you know that His Hot Radio is a
- 46:28Speaker 2: nonprofit organization. We started a Christian club back in 2012. 2018,
- 46:33Speaker 2: we had to vacate the premises. There were some things
- 46:39Speaker 2: there that was going on that God had to correct me.
- 46:43Speaker 2: And there was some correction that had to be taken
- 46:45Speaker 2: in place. I will be transparent. I had some failure
- 46:49Speaker 2: in my life as well. It wasn't just the people
- 46:52Speaker 2: around me. But God is a good God. God is
- 46:56Speaker 2: a God who loves to restore. So I'm thankful to
- 46:59Speaker 2: be able to be in the process of being restored.
- 47:02Speaker 2: And I believe that God wants to restore the club
- 47:07Speaker 2: as well. I do believe that we are good ground.
- 47:12Speaker 2: I do believe that we can make more of an
- 47:15Speaker 2: impact in our community, but we need your help. We
- 47:20Speaker 2: need monthly supporters, monthly donors. We need grants and grant writers.
- 47:25Speaker 2: We need sponsors. We need to be able to sustain
- 47:29Speaker 2: the vision. Amen. We need a new building, a new
- 47:32Speaker 2: location to open up our venue. We have youth programs.
- 47:37Speaker 2: We need our classrooms open up. to the community. We
- 47:41Speaker 2: want to offer services as well. And if you would
- 47:44Speaker 2: like to sow into that, please go to our website, hishopnation.com.

- 47:54Speaker 2: His Hop Radio on all platforms. Or you can go

- 48:04Speaker 2: about the youth programs we have on there. And the
- 48:10Speaker 2: good news is that it's all tax deductible. We appreciate
- 48:17Speaker 2: every support. Two dollars, one dollar. We appreciate every bit
- 48:23Speaker 2: of it. Amen. I love it. Now it's time for
- 48:27Speaker 2: our closing remarks.
- 48:31Speaker 4: Now.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Sometimes there is a cost when we stand for God's truth.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Jeremiah was beaten. He was imprisoned. He was humiliated. And
- 48:46Speaker 2: yet he continued delivering God's message, even though they tried
- 48:52Speaker 2: to silence him. He cannot be silenced. And God will
- 48:59Speaker 2: never be silent. You cannot silence God. Amen. Amen. that's
- 49:04Speaker 2: the lesson i want us to carry with us today
- 49:07Speaker 2: don't let opposition determine your obedience people may misunderstand you
- 49:15Speaker 2: people may even criticize you people may even reject you
- 49:19Speaker 2: some people may even try to hurt you because they
- 49:23Speaker 2: don't like the truth you're standing for. But God has
- 49:30Speaker 2: called you to do something. Don't abandon it simply because
- 49:36Speaker 2: it gets difficult.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Amen.
- 49:38Speaker 2: Amen. I'm thinking of marriage. I'm thinking of families, children
- 49:43Speaker 2: running away. Just because it gets difficult doesn't mean we
- 49:47Speaker 2: need to abandon what God wants for our lives. Amen.
- 49:53Speaker 2: And at the same time, make sure you're actually standing
- 49:56Speaker 2: on God's word, not just your own opinion. That's also important, too.
- 50:02Speaker 2: We don't need to be stubborn for the sake of
- 50:06Speaker 2: just being stubborn. We need to be faithful to Scripture.
- 50:11Speaker 2: So let's stay humble. Let's stay teachable. Let's stay in prayer.
- 50:17Speaker 2: And when you know God has called you to stand
- 50:24Speaker 2: because popularity is temporary, platforms are temporary, money is temporary,
- 50:30Speaker 2: but God's word will remain for all eternity. Stay faithful
- 50:39Speaker 2: when you know God has called you to stand on
- 50:44Speaker 2: the standards and principles of his word.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Amen.
- 50:49Speaker 2: That's my time for today. And remember, it's not about us.
- 50:57Speaker 2: It's all about the Christ in us. God bless y'all.
- 51:11Speaker 2: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
- 51:15Speaker 2: is the HizHop Radio Show.
