- 0:41Speaker 1: And while you're there, get his Kennedy books too. They're great.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So hey, first, let me ask you some Palm Beach questions.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Not long ago recently there was a local race, the
- 0:53Speaker 1: Republican loss, the Democrat won. This is unheard of in
- 0:56Speaker 1: Palm Beach County. White. How did this happen in Trump's hometown?
- 0:59Speaker 1: How did that happen? The Republican lost?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Well, there was a vacancy the the the previous occupant
- 1:08Speaker 2: of the office took a courthouse jobs. You know. In
- 1:12Speaker 2: other words, Florida is a lot like other states like
- 1:16Speaker 2: New York and Massachusetts. People always want to bail out
- 1:19Speaker 2: to the courthouse, and this guy did. So there was
- 1:21Speaker 2: a vacancy and two people ran and the Democrat was
- 1:25Speaker 2: you know, named they shid some name like Muffy Pepperidge,
- 1:29Speaker 2: and you know, he hated Trump, and the Republicans nominated
- 1:33Speaker 2: a black businessman, so you know, he was he was.
- 1:37Speaker 2: That was. It was a tough tough thing in the
- 1:40Speaker 2: in the beginning. But you saw what happened right about
- 1:42Speaker 2: they they had a they had a poll worker, a
- 1:47Speaker 2: poll worker who is a Democrat with a record as
- 1:50Speaker 2: long as his arm, and he stole apparently one of
- 1:54Speaker 2: the election apparatuss that, you know, one of these little things.
- 1:59Speaker 2: And you know the elections supervisor, who by the way,
- 2:03Speaker 2: is a Democrat, she said, oh no, no, nothing happened,
- 2:07Speaker 2: Nothing could have happened. That was just a you know,
- 2:09Speaker 2: just a dummy document. But you know, hey, it was
- 2:13Speaker 2: eight hundred votes. It was a very very close election,
- 2:16Speaker 2: fifty one forty nine. And you know, it's one of
- 2:19Speaker 2: those things, Mark, you know how it works if they were,
- 2:21Speaker 2: If if the Republican Maples had had won by one vote,
- 2:26Speaker 2: there would have been nothing about it except in the
- 2:29Speaker 2: local paper, maybe not even in the local paper. But
- 2:32Speaker 2: as it is, it's Trump is remutiated in his home down.
- 2:38Speaker 1: But that's the way they played it.
- 2:40Speaker 2: And I actually saw one one website said Trump loses
- 2:46Speaker 2: a special election in his congressional district. Congressional district. There
- 2:51Speaker 2: was a state Reps district.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Come on and it was extremely low turnout.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Right, yeah, it was pretty it was pretty low turnout.
- 2:59Speaker 2: It wasn't it wasn't super low turnout. But you know,
- 3:03Speaker 2: the Republicans knew they had a problem, so they weren't
- 3:05Speaker 2: they losing everybody all the all the Republican base with
- 3:09Speaker 2: people tried getting trying to get them to come out.
- 3:11Speaker 2: But actually we had a municipal election two weeks earlier,
- 3:14Speaker 2: and that got of that got a higher turnout. And
- 3:16Speaker 2: then and they were also poll workers for the municipal election.
- 3:18Speaker 2: These two uh, these two swells uh you know, wearing
- 3:23Speaker 2: both eyes, you know, campaigning to get on the town council.
- 3:26Speaker 2: You could you could they were both from Boston. I
- 3:29Speaker 2: don't have to do I need to stay in the market,
- 3:31Speaker 2: you know. But they got a higher turnout with that,
- 3:34Speaker 2: and they spent a lot more money on that thing
- 3:36Speaker 2: than they did on the state reps race. But you know, look,
- 3:38Speaker 2: I you know, if you've seen what happened in New
- 3:40Speaker 2: York when they lost when you guys lost the state Senate,
- 3:44Speaker 2: or you've seen what happens in Massachusetts when you have
- 3:47Speaker 2: Democrats super majorities, you never want to lose a legislative seat,
- 3:52Speaker 2: no matter how minor you think it is. You know,
- 3:55Speaker 2: you've got to get out there and vote. I mean,
- 3:57Speaker 2: it's you know, it's you're only one election away from
- 4:01Speaker 2: from disaster, as you guys are finding out in New
- 4:04Speaker 2: York City.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Oh, Ali Carno. Another thing, they're going to rename the
- 4:08Speaker 1: Palm Beach Airport Trump International. What how are Democrats supposed
- 4:12Speaker 1: to get to Florida. They're not going to land at
- 4:14Speaker 1: any airport called Trump International. What are they going to do?
- 4:18Speaker 2: They you know, it'll it'll take a while, but they've
- 4:21Speaker 2: gotten used to Reagan and International, right, so they can.
- 4:25Speaker 2: And you know, if you fly out to Vegas, you
- 4:26Speaker 2: have to they don't. They have the Harry Reader in
- 4:29Speaker 2: the National Airport that that would frost me if I
- 4:32Speaker 2: had to go, if I hadn't land at Harry Reader
- 4:34Speaker 2: International Airport. But hey, you get used to it. It's
- 4:37Speaker 2: it's it's better than you know, spending time in New
- 4:41Speaker 2: York City and getting mugged and uh, you know and
- 4:45Speaker 2: robbed and uh you know, uh shripped of all your
- 4:49Speaker 2: your estate after your death by Mamdani and Hocal.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Hey. President Trump Act's Eric Trump announced yesterday the plans
- 4:57Speaker 1: for the Trump Presidential Library. It's going to be a
- 5:00Speaker 1: a big, unbelievable skyscraper in Miami. Did that surprise you
- 5:04Speaker 1: that it's going to be in Miami. Wouldn't you think
- 5:06Speaker 1: it'd be in New York? No?
- 5:09Speaker 2: I don't think. I don't think so. I mean, he
- 5:12Speaker 2: is from New York and he mentioned he still mentions
- 5:14Speaker 2: New York and being from there. But no, I mean,
- 5:18Speaker 2: why why go through all the crap of that, you know?
- 5:21Speaker 2: I mean again, though he's got, you know, one thing
- 5:24Speaker 2: about these recent presidents, he has such a low bar
- 5:27Speaker 2: to to go over. I mean, this thing in Chicago
- 5:32Speaker 2: with Obama is just a complete fiasco. It looks like
- 5:36Speaker 2: it was designed you know, in the Kim junks, Uh,
- 5:39Speaker 2: you know, with the John School of Government, and it's
- 5:43Speaker 2: North Korean like, and the neighbors are suing, and it's
- 5:46Speaker 2: the cost overruns. And you know what I love about
- 5:49Speaker 2: the you know, unlike unlike say that the Kennedy uh
- 5:54Speaker 2: Study Center for the Study of the Senate, or the
- 5:57Speaker 2: Obama Library. They always say, oh, we'll pay for it
- 6:00Speaker 2: our private donors. They're they're so grateful for what Ted
- 6:03Speaker 2: Kennedy or Barack Obama did and then once they're once,
- 6:06Speaker 2: they're gone. Once you're out, you're out, you know, and
- 6:08Speaker 2: they these libs don't have any sense of gratitude. But
- 6:12Speaker 2: I guarantee you the Trump's library will be uh, you know,
- 6:16Speaker 2: taking care of It'll be like the ballroom. It'll be
- 6:18Speaker 2: taking private donors, will will will take care of this.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You know, it's funny the Biden Presidential Library doesn't exist,
- 6:26Speaker 1: no plans, no donors, nothing. But you're right, they abandoned
- 6:30Speaker 1: him like crazy.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's uh, you know, I mean, I don't know.
- 6:35Speaker 2: There needs to be a place to stash his comic
- 6:38Speaker 2: books and his coloring books. You know, he's got I
- 6:41Speaker 2: heard he's got a really good selection of you know,
- 6:44Speaker 2: uh d C comics from his from his youth. Back
- 6:47Speaker 2: in the days, back in the days before they even
- 6:49Speaker 2: had Batman, it was a superman when he was collecting.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I see him more as a Beatle Bailey kind of
- 6:55Speaker 1: comic books or Blondie kind of comics.
- 6:58Speaker 2: So made Little Lottie.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah, so he tell us about mar A Lago. This
- 7:04Speaker 1: is like where the season winds down, and when when
- 7:06Speaker 1: does it close for the year.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Is it Mother's Day it closes for the year. I
- 7:10Speaker 2: think on Mother's Day that's the That'll be the last day.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I mean, it's like the club will still be open
- 7:15Speaker 2: on the on the seaside, you know, where you can
- 7:19Speaker 2: come in. But you know, the the the dinners and everything,
- 7:23Speaker 2: that's the that's the big thing, the dinners, you know,
- 7:26Speaker 2: and especially when when he's in town on on the
- 7:30Speaker 2: weekends and and you know he hasn't he doesn't come
- 7:32Speaker 2: down every weekend, but he comes down most weekends during
- 7:36Speaker 2: this during the season, and then he he stops by
- 7:39Speaker 2: and and says hello, Like last week, Uh, the Republican
- 7:43Speaker 2: candidate for governor of Pennsylvania. She's a she's pretty good,
- 7:48Speaker 2: but she's a real Underdouctor Shapiro and uh, you know,
- 7:51Speaker 2: she she had a big fundraiser at mar Alago and
- 7:54Speaker 2: it was Friday night. He wasn't supposed to be there,
- 7:56Speaker 2: but he just came in and you can imagine, you
- 7:59Speaker 2: know that that's that Goose fundraising for and in his
- 8:03Speaker 2: guarret and uh, you know, so he comes in and
- 8:06Speaker 2: he sees people and just hangs out and then he
- 8:09Speaker 2: and he plays golf and he usually goes down to
- 8:12Speaker 2: either to to one of his own West Palm. That's what,
- 8:15Speaker 2: you know, that's what that's what the nut from North
- 8:17Speaker 2: Carolina tried to shoot him and uh, you know, or
- 8:21Speaker 2: he only just you know, he hangs out. I mean,
- 8:24Speaker 2: he's it's I like having him around. And you know,
- 8:27Speaker 2: you can you see the little Coast Guard boats. I
- 8:30Speaker 2: you know, I'm on the Inner Coastal Waterway Lake Wharth
- 8:32Speaker 2: they call it, and I can and you know, you
- 8:34Speaker 2: see the orange Coast Guard boats with mounted machine guns.
- 8:38Speaker 2: You know what they kind of look like is those
- 8:40Speaker 2: Iranian speedboats that they don't exist anymore, but he used
- 8:46Speaker 2: to exist still about two weeks ago. They look like
- 8:49Speaker 2: those things. And they they come, they come in and
- 8:52Speaker 2: they they changed the shift at noon and they go
- 8:56Speaker 2: up to Riviera Beach where there's a Coast Guard base.
- 8:59Speaker 2: It's I mean, it's it's really interesting and it's yeah,
- 9:02Speaker 2: it's just so it's so strange because when I was
- 9:04Speaker 2: a little, a tiny little boy, Jack Kennedy was the
- 9:08Speaker 2: president and he he lived up on the other side
- 9:12Speaker 2: of the island, on the north side of the island.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Nobody ever thought there'd be another there would be another
- 9:16Speaker 2: presidential winter white House. But now there has been. Now
- 9:19Speaker 2: there is. It's great, wonderful.
- 9:21Speaker 1: So when they closed mar Alaga, they close it to
- 9:23Speaker 1: like Halloween, like till October Halloween. What what are these
- 9:27Speaker 1: painted up old ladies do for six months that all
- 9:29Speaker 1: hang out at mari Alaga. Where do they go for
- 9:31Speaker 1: six months?
- 9:32Speaker 2: Well, I mean a lot of them go, you know,
- 9:33Speaker 2: they head north, they go to the Hampton, you know,
- 9:37Speaker 2: I mean it's a few were you know, there's more
- 9:40Speaker 2: and more of a yearly presence here. But you know,
- 9:43Speaker 2: like the country club. Yeah, the club and in in
- 9:45Speaker 2: West Palm is open. It's really a nice place and
- 9:48Speaker 2: it's like a you know, one of the best golf
- 9:51Speaker 2: courses in Florida. And he's he's very proud of that.
- 9:55Speaker 2: And you know, there's all all together the Everglades is
- 9:59Speaker 2: still open. The Yeah, the Breakers. You know, the Breakers
- 10:02Speaker 2: used to be a seasonal place, but it's it's open
- 10:04Speaker 2: year round, and so most of the places are open years.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Since air conditioning, I mean, I know, I'm dating myself
- 10:10Speaker 2: because that's been like fifty years now, but since air
- 10:13Speaker 2: conditioning came in big you know, South Florida, it's just
- 10:16Speaker 2: it's just gotten much bigger. I mean it used to
- 10:20Speaker 2: it used to just have like a you know, a
- 10:23Speaker 2: relative handful of congressman here, and now it's like the
- 10:26Speaker 2: third largest state in the country, I believe, after California
- 10:30Speaker 2: and Texas.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Palm Springs. Nobody lived in Palm Springs until air
- 10:34Speaker 1: conditioning was invented in the late forties. That's when the
- 10:36Speaker 1: first people started to live there.
- 10:37Speaker 2: So yeah, and you know, they never had like central
- 10:42Speaker 2: air like the Breakers were. The Breakers was went to
- 10:45Speaker 2: central air in like the early nineteen seventies, and and
- 10:48Speaker 2: now people, you know, I tell people what it used
- 10:51Speaker 2: to be like, and it's hard, it's hard to imagine,
- 10:54Speaker 2: but that's that's the way it was. I mean, it
- 10:56Speaker 2: costs millions of dollars, but they've they've made it back obviously,
- 11:00Speaker 2: you know, many times over. It's just it's just changed everything.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Well, well everybody, Hey, first, get Howie Carr's latest book.

- 12:05Speaker 1: how he probably would have got charged with manslaughter. It
- 12:08Speaker 1: was so reckless. They had an expert on going through
