  Words that build or break. Have you ever replayed a
• 0:14
  conversation in your mind and wished you could take your words
• 0:17
  back? Maybe it was something said in
• 0:20
  anger, something sarcastic that landed harder than you meant.
• 0:24
  Or maybe it was silence when you should have spoken truth.
• 0:28
  Words can feel small when they leave our mouths, but they
• 0:30
  rarely stay small. They echo, they shape
• 0:33
  relationships. They reveal what is happening in
• 0:36
  our hearts. Proverbs chapter 12, verses 13
• 0:40
  to 14 says the wicked is ensnared by the transgression of
• 0:44
  his lips, but the righteous escapes from trouble.
• 0:48
  The mouth of the righteous man is a fountain of life.
• 0:51
  What a contrast. One mouth becomes a trap and the
• 0:54
  other becomes a source of life. That means our words are never
• 0:57
  neutral. They are either feeding
• 1:00
  something good or strengthening something harmful.
• 1:03
  Then Psalm chapter 32 verses one to two says blessed is the one
• 1:07
  whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered, and in
• 1:12
  whose spirit there is no deceit. That shows us another powerful
• 1:15
  truth. Freedom begins when honesty
• 1:17
  begins. When we stop hiding, stop
• 1:20
  pretending, and bring our sin to God.
• 1:22
  Grace meets us there, and Job chapter 34 reminds us that God
• 1:27
  is always just. He does not act wickedly, and
• 1:30
  nothing escapes his authority. That matters because sometimes
• 1:35
  we speak carelessly, then defend ourselves instead of confessing.
• 1:39
  We blame stress, pressure, or other people.
• 1:41
  But God invites us into a better way.
• 1:45
  He calls us to speak truth, to own our wrongs, and to trust
• 1:48
  that His justice is better than our need to control every
• 1:51
  situation. Honest confession is not
• 1:54
  weakness. It is the doorway to peace.
• 1:57
  Your words can wound, but by God's help, they can also heal.

  They can encourage someone who feels unseen.
• 2:03
  They can tell the truth with love.
• 2:05
  They can admit wrong and rebuild trust.
• 2:08
  And when life feels unfair, you do not have to lash out or live
• 2:11
  resentful. You can rest in the fact that
• 2:14
  God sees clearly, judges rightly, and leads faithfully.

  Let your mouth become a fountain of life, not because you are
• 2:21
  perfect, but because God is changing your heart.
• 2:24
  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 2:28
  your mercy, your justice, and your patience with me.
• 2:31
  Help me to be careful with my words and honest about my
• 2:34
  failures. Teach me to confess quickly,
• 2:37
  speak truth lovingly, and trust You when life feels unfair.
• 2:40
  Let my words bring life, peace, and healing to the people around
• 2:43

  more than God's? That you ask, What advantage

  will it be to you? What profit will I have more

  than if I had sinned? I will answer you and your

  companions with you. Look to the skies and see.

  See the skies which are higher than you.

  If you have sinned, what effect do you have against Him?

  If your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to

  him? If you are righteous, what do

  you give Him, or what does He receive from your hand?

  Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are, and your
• 9:22
  righteousness may profit a Son of man.

  By reason of the multitude of oppressions.

  They cry out, they cry for help, by reason of the arm of the
• 9:30
  mighty. But no one says, Where is God my
• 9:33
  Maker, who gives songs in the night, who teaches us more than
• 9:36
  the animals of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of
• 9:39
  the sky? There they cry, but no one
• 9:42
  answers because of the pride of evil men.
• 9:44
  Surely God will not hear an empty cry, neither will the
• 9:47
  Almighty regard it. How much less when you say you
• 9:50
  don't see Him, the cause is before Him, and you wait for
• 9:53
  Him. But now, because he has not
• 9:55
  visited in his anger, neither does he greatly regard
• 9:58
  arrogance. Therefore, Job opens his mouth
• 10:01
  with empty talk and he multiplies words without
• 10:04
