- 0:00Speaker 1: Chapter forty eight Genesis Chapter forty eight, the time drawing
- 0:04Speaker 1: nigh that Israel must die, having in the former chapter
- 0:09Speaker 1: given order about his burial. In this he takes leave
- 0:13Speaker 1: of his grandchildren by Joseph, and in the next of
- 0:16Speaker 1: his children. Thus Jacob's dying words are recorded because he
- 0:21Speaker 1: then spoke by a spirit of prophecy. Abraham's and Isaac's
- 0:25Speaker 1: are not God's gifts and graces shine forth much more
- 0:30Speaker 1: in some saints than in others upon their death beds.
- 0:35Speaker 1: The spirit, like the wind, blows where it listeth. In
- 0:39Speaker 1: this chapter Numeral one, Joseph, hearing of his father's sickness,
- 0:44Speaker 1: goes to visit him and takes his two sons with
- 0:47Speaker 1: him Verses one and two Numeral two. Jacob solemnly adopts
- 0:53Speaker 1: his two sons and takes them for his own. Verse
- 0:57Speaker 1: three through seven. Three he blesses them Verses eight through sixteen.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Numeral four. He explains and justifies the crossing of his
- 1:09Speaker 1: hands in blessing them. Verses seventeen through twenty Numeral five.
- 1:14Speaker 1: He leaves a particular legacy to Joseph. Verses twenty one
- 1:19Speaker 1: and twenty two. Jacob's latest illness B C. Sixteen eighty nine,
- 1:26Speaker 1: Verse one. And it came to pass after these things
- 1:30Speaker 1: that one told Joseph, behold, thy father is sick, and
- 1:33Speaker 1: he took with him his two sons, Manassa and Ephrium.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Verse two. And one told Jacob and said, behold, thy son,
- 1:43Speaker 1: Joseph cometh unto THEE, and Israel strengthened himself and sat
- 1:48Speaker 1: upon the bed verse three. And Jacob said, unto Joseph,
- 1:52Speaker 1: God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land
- 1:56Speaker 1: of Canaan and blessed me verse four, and said, unto
- 1:59Speaker 1: meis me Behold, I will make THEE fruitful and multiply THEE.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And I will make of THEE a multitude of people,
- 2:06Speaker 1: and will give this land to thy seed after THEE
- 2:10Speaker 1: for and everlasting possession. Verse five. And Now thy two sons,
- 2:15Speaker 1: Ephrium and n Nassa, which were born unto THEE in
- 2:18Speaker 1: the land of Egypt before I came unto THEE into Egypt,
- 2:22Speaker 1: are mine, as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine
- 2:28Speaker 1: Verse six. And thy issue which thou begettest after them,
- 2:33Speaker 1: shall be thine, and shall be called after the name
- 2:36Speaker 1: of their brethren in their inheritance. Verse seven. And as
- 2:40Speaker 1: for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by
- 2:44Speaker 1: me in the land of Canaan, in the way when
- 2:48Speaker 1: yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath.
- 2:52Speaker 1: And I buried her there in the way of Ephrath.
- 2:56Speaker 1: And the same is Bethlehem here numeral one. Joseph, upon
- 3:01Speaker 1: notice of his father's illness, goes to see him. Though
- 3:05Speaker 1: a man of honor and business, yet he will not
- 3:08Speaker 1: fail to show this due respect to his aged father.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Verse one. Visiting the sick to whom we lie under
- 3:16Speaker 1: obligations or may have opportunity of doing good, either for
- 3:21Speaker 1: body or soul, is our duty. The sick bed is
- 3:24Speaker 1: a proper place both for giving comfort and counsel to others,
- 3:29Speaker 1: and receiving instruction ourselves. Joseph took his two sons with him,
- 3:35Speaker 1: that they might receive their dying grandfather's blessing, and that
- 3:39Speaker 1: what they might see in him and hear from him
- 3:43Speaker 1: might make an abiding impression upon them. Note number one.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It is good to acquaint young people that are coming
- 3:51Speaker 1: into the world with the aged servants of God that
- 3:55Speaker 1: are going out of it, whose dying testimony to the
- 3:58Speaker 1: goodness of God and the pleasantness of Wisdom's ways may
- 4:03Speaker 1: be a great encouragement to the rising generation. Manassa and Ephrium,
- 4:08Speaker 1: I dare say would never forget what passed at this time.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Number two. Pious parents are desirous of a blessing not
- 4:18Speaker 1: only for themselves, but for their children, oh, that they
- 4:22Speaker 1: may live before God. Joseph had been above all his
- 4:26Speaker 1: brethren kind to his father, and therefore had reason to
- 4:30Speaker 1: expect particular favor from him. Numeral two. Jacob, upon notice
- 4:36Speaker 1: of his son's visit, prepared himself as well as he
- 4:39Speaker 1: could to entertain him. Verse two. He did what he
- 4:43Speaker 1: could to rouse his spirits and to stir up the
- 4:46Speaker 1: gift that was in him. What little was left to
- 4:49Speaker 1: bodily strength, he put forth to the utmost and sat
- 4:53Speaker 1: upon the bed. Note it is very good for sick
- 4:57Speaker 1: and aged people to be as lively and cheerful as
- 5:00Speaker 1: they can, that they may not faint in the day
- 5:03Speaker 1: of adversity. Strengthen thyself, as Jacob hear, and God will
- 5:08Speaker 1: strengthen thee. Hearten thyself and help thyself, and God will
- 5:13Speaker 1: help and hearten thee. Let the spirit sustain the infirmity
- 5:17Speaker 1: Numeral three. In recompense to Joseph for all his attention
- 5:23Speaker 1: to him, He adopted his two sons. In this charter
- 5:27Speaker 1: of adoption. There is number one a particular recital of
- 5:33Speaker 1: God's promise to him, to which this had reference. God
- 5:38Speaker 1: bless me verse three, and let that blessing be entailed
- 5:42Speaker 1: upon them. God had promised him two things, a numerous
- 5:47Speaker 1: issue and Canaan for an inheritance verse four. And Joseph's
- 5:53Speaker 1: sons pursuant here unto should each of them multiply into
- 5:58Speaker 1: a tribe, and each of them have a distinct lot
- 6:01Speaker 1: in Canaan equal with Jacob's own sons. See how he
- 6:06Speaker 1: blessed them by faith in that which God had said
- 6:09Speaker 1: to him Hebrews eleven, verse twenty one. Note in all
- 6:15Speaker 1: our prayers, both for ourselves and for our children, we
- 6:19Speaker 1: ought to have a particular eye too, and remembrance of
- 6:24Speaker 1: God's promises to us. Number two an express reception of
- 6:29Speaker 1: Joseph's sons into his family. Thy sons are mine verse five,
- 6:34Speaker 1: not only my grandchildren, but as my own children. Though
- 6:39Speaker 1: they were born in Egypt, and their father was then
- 6:42Speaker 1: separated from his brethren, which might seem to have cut
- 6:46Speaker 1: them off from the heritage of the Lord. Yet Jacob
- 6:49Speaker 1: takes them in and owns them for visible church members.
- 6:55Speaker 1: He explains this at verse sixteen, let my name be
- 6:59Speaker 1: named upon them, and the name of my fathers, as
- 7:03Speaker 1: if he had said, let them not succeed their father
- 7:07Speaker 1: in his power and grandeur here in Egypt, but let
- 7:11Speaker 1: them succeed me in the inheritance of the promise made
- 7:15Speaker 1: to Abraham, which Jacob looked upon as much more valuable
- 7:19Speaker 1: and honorable, and would have them to prize and covet accordingly. Thus,
- 7:24Speaker 1: the aged, dying Patriarch teaches these young persons, now that
- 7:30Speaker 1: they were of age, being about twenty one years old,
- 7:33Speaker 1: not to look upon Egypt as their home, nor to
- 7:37Speaker 1: incorporate themselves with the Egyptians, but to take their lot
- 7:41Speaker 1: with the people of God, as Moses afterwards in the
- 7:45Speaker 1: like temptation Hebrews, Chapter eleven, verses twenty four through twenty six.
- 7:51Speaker 1: And because it would be a peace of self denial
- 7:54Speaker 1: in them, who stood so fair for preferment in Egypt,
- 7:58Speaker 1: to adhere to the dec despised Hebrews. To encourage them,
- 8:03Speaker 1: he constitutes each of them the head of a tribe.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Note those are worthy of double honor, who, through God's grace,
- 8:12Speaker 1: break through the temptations of worldly wealth and preferment to
- 8:17Speaker 1: embrace religion in disgrace and poverty. Jacob will have Ephrium
- 8:21Speaker 1: and Manassa to believe that it is better to be
- 8:25Speaker 1: low and in the church than high and out of it,
- 8:29Speaker 1: to be called by the name of poor Jacob than
- 8:32Speaker 1: to be called by the name of rich Joseph. Number three,
- 8:37Speaker 1: a proviso inserted concerning the children he might afterwards have.
- 8:43Speaker 1: They should not be accounted heads of tribes as Ephrium
- 8:47Speaker 1: and manassawer, but should fall in with either of the
- 8:51Speaker 1: one or the other of their brethren. Verse six. It
- 8:54Speaker 1: does not appear that Joseph had any more children. However,
- 8:58Speaker 1: it was Jacob's pre prudents to give this direction for
- 9:02Speaker 1: the preventing of contest and mismanagement. Note in making settlements,
- 9:08Speaker 1: it is good to take advice and to provide for
- 9:11Speaker 1: what may happen. While we cannot foresee what will happen,
- 9:15Speaker 1: our prudence must attend God's providence. Number four mention is
- 9:20Speaker 1: made of the death and burial of Rachel, Joseph's mother
- 9:25Speaker 1: and Jacob's best beloved wife. Verse seven referring to that story,
- 9:31Speaker 1: Chapter thirty five, verse nineteen. Note number one. When we
- 9:37Speaker 1: come to die ourselves, it is good to call to
- 9:40Speaker 1: mind the death of our dear relations and friends that
- 9:43Speaker 1: have gone before us, to make death and the grave
- 9:46Speaker 1: the more familiar to us. See Numbers twenty seven, verse thirteen.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Those that were to us as our own souls are
- 9:56Speaker 1: dead and buried, and shall we think it much to
- 9:59Speaker 1: follow them in the same path? Number two. The removal
- 10:03Speaker 1: of dear relations from us is an affliction, the remembrance
- 10:08Speaker 1: of which cannot but abide with us a great while
- 10:12Speaker 1: strong affections in the enjoyment cause long afflictions in the loss.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Jacob blesses the sons of Joseph Jacob's dying Prophecy b. S.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Sixteen eighty nine, verse eight. And Israel beheld Joseph's sons
- 10:29Speaker 1: and said, who are these? Verse nine. And Joseph said,
- 10:33Speaker 1: unto his fathers, they are my sons, whom God hath
- 10:37Speaker 1: given me in this place. And he said, bring them,
- 10:41Speaker 1: I pray thee unto me, and I will bless them.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Verse ten. Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age,
- 10:49Speaker 1: so that he could not see. And he brought them
- 10:52Speaker 1: near unto him, and he kissed them and embraced them
- 10:56Speaker 1: verse eleven. And Israel said, unto Joseph, I had not
- 11:00Speaker 1: thought to see thy face. And lo, God hath showed
- 11:04Speaker 1: me also thy seed Verse twelve. And Joseph brought them
- 11:09Speaker 1: out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with
- 11:12Speaker 1: his face to the earth verse thirteen. And Joseph took
- 11:16Speaker 1: them both, Ephrium in his right hand toward Israel's left hand,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and Manassa in his left hand toward Israel's right hand,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and brought them near unto him Verse fourteen. And Israel
- 11:31Speaker 1: stretched out his right hand and laid it upon Ephrium's head,
- 11:35Speaker 1: who was the younger, and his left hand upon the
- 11:38Speaker 1: NASA's head, guiding his hands wittingly, for Manassa was the
- 11:43Speaker 1: first born Verse fifteen. And he blessed Joseph and said,
- 11:48Speaker 1: God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk,
- 11:53Speaker 1: the God which fed me all my life long unto
- 11:56Speaker 1: this day Verse sixteen. The Angel which redeemed me from
- 12:00Speaker 1: all evil, bless the lads, and let my name be
- 12:04Speaker 1: named on them, and the name of my father's Abraham
- 12:08Speaker 1: and Isaac, and let them grow into a multitude in
- 12:11Speaker 1: the midst of the earth verse seventeen. And when Joseph
- 12:15Speaker 1: saw that his father laid his right hand upon the
- 12:18Speaker 1: head of Ephrium, it displeased him, and he held up
- 12:22Speaker 1: his father's hand to remove it from Ephrium's head unto
- 12:26Speaker 1: Manassa's head verse eighteen. And Joseph said, unto his father,
- 12:31Speaker 1: not so, my father, for this is the first born,
- 12:35Speaker 1: put thy right hand upon his head verse nineteen. And
- 12:39Speaker 1: his father refused and said, I know it, my son,
- 12:42Speaker 1: I know it. He also shall become a people, and
- 12:46Speaker 1: he also shall be great. But truly his younger brother
- 12:50Speaker 1: shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become
- 12:54Speaker 1: a multitude of nations verse twenty. And he blessed them
- 12:58Speaker 1: that day, saying, in THEE shall Israel bless saying God
- 13:03Speaker 1: make thee as Ephrium and as Manassa. And he set
- 13:07Speaker 1: Ephrium before Manassah verse twenty one. And Israel said, unto Joseph,
- 13:13Speaker 1: behold I die, but God shall be with you and
- 13:17Speaker 1: bring you again unto the land of your fathers verse
- 13:21Speaker 1: twenty two. Moreover, I have given to THEE one portion
- 13:25Speaker 1: above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand
- 13:29Speaker 1: of the Emirite with my sword and with my voe.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Here is numeral one the blessing with which Jacob blessed
- 13:37Speaker 1: the two sons of Joseph, which is the more remarkable
- 13:41Speaker 1: because the Apostle makes such particular mention of it. Hebrews
- 13:46Speaker 1: chapter eleven, verse twenty one, while he says nothing of
- 13:50Speaker 1: the blessing which Jacob pronounced on the rest of his sons,
- 13:54Speaker 1: though that also was done in faith. Observe here Number one.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Jacob was blind of age verse ten. It is one
- 14:03Speaker 1: of the common infirmities of old age. Those that look
- 14:06Speaker 1: out at the windows are darkened. Ecclesiastes, chapter twelve, verse three.
- 14:13Speaker 1: It is folly to walk in the sight of our eyes,
- 14:16Speaker 1: and to suffer our hearts to go after them, while
- 14:20Speaker 1: we know death will shortly close them, and we do
- 14:23Speaker 1: not know, but some accident between us and death may
- 14:27Speaker 1: darken them. Jacob, like his father before him, when he
- 14:31Speaker 1: was old, was dim sighted. Note number one. Those that
- 14:36Speaker 1: have the honor of age must therewith be content to
- 14:40Speaker 1: take the burden of it. Number two. The eye of
- 14:43Speaker 1: faith may be very clear, even when the eye of
- 14:46Speaker 1: the body is very much clouded. Number two. Jacob was
- 14:50Speaker 1: very fond of Joseph's sons. He kissed them and embraced them.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Verse ten. It is common for old people to have
- 14:58Speaker 1: a very particular affection for their grandchildren, perhaps more than
- 15:03Speaker 1: they had for their own children when they were little,
- 15:06Speaker 1: which Solomon gives as a reason for Proverbs chapter seventeen,
- 15:11Speaker 1: verse six. Children's children are the crown of old men.
- 15:16Speaker 1: With what satisfaction does Jacob say here verse eleven, I
- 15:21Speaker 1: had not thought to see thy face, having many ears
- 15:25Speaker 1: given him up for lost, and lo, God has shown
- 15:29Speaker 1: me also thy seed. See here Number one, how these
- 15:33Speaker 1: two good men owned God in their comforts, Joseph says
- 15:39Speaker 1: verse nine. They are my sons whom God has given me.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And to magnify the favor he adds in this place
- 15:48Speaker 1: of my banishment, slavery and imprisonment, Jacob says, here God
- 15:54Speaker 1: has shown me thy seed. Our comforts are then doubly
- 15:58Speaker 1: sweet to us when we see them coming from God's hand.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Number two. How often God, in his merciful providences, outdoes
- 16:07Speaker 1: our expectations and thus greatly magnifies his favors. He not
- 16:13Speaker 1: only prevents our fears, but exceeds our hopes. We may
- 16:18Speaker 1: apply this to the promise which is made to us
- 16:21Speaker 1: and to our children. We could not have thought that
- 16:24Speaker 1: we should have been taken into covenant with God ourselves,
- 16:28Speaker 1: considering how guilty and corrupt we are. And yet lo
- 16:32Speaker 1: he has shown us our seed also in covenant with him.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Number three, before he entails his blessing, he recounts his
- 16:41Speaker 1: experiences of God's goodness to him. He had spoken verse
- 16:46Speaker 1: three of God's appearing to him, The particular visits of
- 16:50Speaker 1: his grace and the special communion we have sometimes had
- 16:55Speaker 1: with him ought never to be forgotten. But verse fifteen
- 17:00Speaker 1: and sixteen he mentions the constant care which the divine
- 17:05Speaker 1: providence had taken of him all his days. Number one,
- 17:10Speaker 1: he had fed him all his life long unto this day.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Verse fifteen Note, as long as we have lived in
- 17:18Speaker 1: this world, we have had continual experience of God's goodness
- 17:23Speaker 1: to us. In providing for the support of our natural life.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Our bodies have called for daily food, and no little
- 17:31Speaker 1: has gone to feed us. Yet we have never wanted
- 17:35Speaker 1: food convenient. He that has fed us all our life
- 17:39Speaker 1: long surely will not fail us. At last. Number two,
- 17:43Speaker 1: he had by his angel redeemed him from all evil
- 17:48Speaker 1: verse sixteen. A great deal of hardship he had known
- 17:52Speaker 1: in his time, but God had graciously kept him from
- 17:56Speaker 1: the evil of his troubles. Now that he was dying,
- 17:59Speaker 1: he looked upon him himself as redeemed from all evil
- 18:03Speaker 1: and abiding an everlasting farewell to sin and sorrow. Christ,
- 18:09Speaker 1: the Angel of the Covenant, is he that redeems us
- 18:12Speaker 1: from all evil. Two Timothy Chapter four, verse eighteen. Note
- 18:19Speaker 1: Number one, it becomes the servants of God when they
- 18:23Speaker 1: are old and dying, to witness for our God that
- 18:27Speaker 1: they have found him gracious. Number two. Our experiences of
- 18:31Speaker 1: God's goodness to us are improvable, both for encouragement of
- 18:36Speaker 1: others to serve God and for encouragement to us in
- 18:40Speaker 1: blessing them and praying for them. Number four. When he
- 18:44Speaker 1: confers the blessing and name of Abraham and Isaac upon them,
- 18:48Speaker 1: he recommends the pattern an example of Abraham and Isaac
- 18:53Speaker 1: to them. Verse fifteen. He calls God the God before
- 18:58Speaker 1: whom his father's Abraham and Isaac walked, that is, in
- 19:03Speaker 1: whom they believed, whom they observed and obeyed, and with
- 19:07Speaker 1: whom they kept up communion. In instituted ordinances, according to
- 19:13Speaker 1: the condition of the covenant walk before me. Chapter seventeen,
- 19:18Speaker 1: Verse one. Note number one. Those that would inherit the
- 19:22Speaker 1: blessings of their godly ancestors and have the benefit of
- 19:26Speaker 1: God's covenant with them must tread in the steps of
- 19:30Speaker 1: their piety. Number two. It should be recommended religion and
- 19:34Speaker 1: the service of God to us that God was the
- 19:37Speaker 1: God of our fathers, and that they had satisfaction in
- 19:41Speaker 1: walking before him. Number five. In blessing them, he crossed hands.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Joseph placed them so as that Jacob's right hand should
- 19:51Speaker 1: be put on the head of the Nassa the Elder,
- 19:54Speaker 1: Verses twelfth and thirteen, but Jacob would put it on
- 19:58Speaker 1: the head of Ephrium the Younger verse fourteen. This displeased Joseph,
- 20:03Speaker 1: who was willing to support the reputation of his first
- 20:06Speaker 1: born and would therefore have removed his father's hands Verse
- 20:11Speaker 1: seventeen and eighteen. But Jacob gave him to understand that
- 20:15Speaker 1: he know what he did, and that he did it
- 20:20Speaker 1: not by mistake, nor in a humor, nor for a
- 20:24Speaker 1: partial affection to one more than the other, but from
- 20:28Speaker 1: a spirit of prophecy and in compliance with the divine
- 20:32Speaker 1: councils Manassa should be great, but truly Ephrium should be greater.
- 20:38Speaker 1: When the tribes were mustered in the wilderness, Ephrium was
- 20:41Speaker 1: more numerous than Manassa and had the standard of that
- 20:45Speaker 1: squadron numbers chapter one, thirty two, thirty three, and thirty five,
- 20:53Speaker 1: Chapter two eighteen and twenty, and is named first saw
- 21:00Speaker 1: Elms Chapter eighty, verse two. Joshua was of that tribe,
- 21:05Speaker 1: so is Jeroboem. The tribe of Manassau was divided, one
- 21:09Speaker 1: half on the one side of Jordan, the other half
- 21:12Speaker 1: on the other side, which made it the less powerful
- 21:16Speaker 1: and considerable. In the foresight of this, Jacob crossed hands.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Note number one. God, in bestowing his blessings upon his people,
- 21:27Speaker 1: gives more to some than to others, more gifts, graces
- 21:31Speaker 1: and comforts, and more of the good things of his life.
- 21:35Speaker 1: He often gives most the those that are least likely.
- 21:40Speaker 1: He chooses the weak things of the world, raises the
- 21:43Speaker 1: poor out of the dust. Grace observes not the order
- 21:47Speaker 1: of nature, nor does God prefer those whom we think
- 21:51Speaker 1: fittest to be preferred, but as it pleases him. It
- 21:55Speaker 1: is observable how often God, by the distinguishing things of
- 22:00Speaker 1: his covenant advanced the younger above the elder, Abel above
- 22:05Speaker 1: Cain Sham above Japoth, Abraham above Nahor, and Heron Isaac
- 22:12Speaker 1: above Ishmael, Jacob above Esau. Judah and Joseph were preferred
- 22:18Speaker 1: before Reuben, Moses, before Aaron, David, and Solomon before their
- 22:23Speaker 1: elder brethren. See for Samuel, chapter sixteen, verse seven. He
- 22:29Speaker 1: tied the Jews to observe the birthright Deuteronomy chapter twenty one,
- 22:35Speaker 1: verse seventeen, but he never tied himself to observe it.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Some make this typical of the preference given to the
- 22:42Speaker 1: Gentiles above the Jews. The gentile converts were much more
- 22:47Speaker 1: numerous than those of the Jews see Galatians chapter four,
- 22:52Speaker 1: verse twenty seven. Thus, free grace becomes more illustrious. Numeral two.
- 22:59Speaker 1: The particular tokens of his favor to Joseph. Number one,
- 23:03Speaker 1: he left with him the promise of their return out
- 23:06Speaker 1: of Egypt as a sacred trust. I die, but God
- 23:11Speaker 1: shall be with you and bring you again verse twenty one. Accordingly, Joseph,
- 23:16Speaker 1: when he died, left it with his brethren Chapter fifty,
- 23:21Speaker 1: verse twenty four. This assurance was given them and carefully
- 23:25Speaker 1: preserved among them, that they might neither love Egypt too
- 23:30Speaker 1: much when it favored them, nor fear it too much
- 23:34Speaker 1: when it frowned upon them. These words of Jacob furnish
- 23:38Speaker 1: us with comfort in reference to the death of our friends.
- 23:42Speaker 1: They die, but God shall be with us, and his
- 23:46Speaker 1: gracious presence is sufficient to make up the loss they
- 23:50Speaker 1: leave us. But He will never fail us further. He
- 23:55Speaker 1: will bring us to the land of our fathers, the
- 23:58Speaker 1: heavenly Canaan, whither our godly fathers have gone before us.
