- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome, everybody, to the best betting show ever. I'm Lawrence Presman.
- 0:04Speaker 1: This show is about making you money. We're the best
- 0:07Speaker 1: group of bettors on the planet. We're going to take
- 0:11Speaker 1: apart every MLB game on the board. We've got NFL
- 0:14Speaker 1: coming your way. We've got some college football. We're going
- 0:17Speaker 1: to talk some predictive markets. A new player in the space, Novig.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We got our parlay of the day and we've got
- 0:25Speaker 1: our first ever haircut play. That's right. That's where we're
- 0:28Speaker 1: going to start right off the bat. Art the Caesar,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Joe Ranieri, Ralph Michaels. Art, I'm going to you first.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Every single Wednesday moving forward, you're going to give out
- 0:40Speaker 1: one NFL play. If it loses, you will cut your hair.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Is that correct?
- 0:47Speaker 2: I didn't sign up for this, but I guess this
- 0:49Speaker 2: is what we're doing.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Okay. And you will cut it completely. You're not going
- 0:54Speaker 1: to cut it straight. The ponytail will go.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Sinead O'Connor.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Yes. And there we have, Joe, you could just put
- 1:03Speaker 1: up just Art and Ralph next to each other. We
- 1:06Speaker 1: have a before and an after.
- 1:08Speaker 3: We can do it.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Okay. I'm just kidding. So there we go. Stay with
- 1:13Speaker 1: us for the haircut play. This play has to win, everybody. Well,
- 1:18Speaker 1: nice to see you, man. You're ready for us? You
- 1:20Speaker 1: got some good shit coming our way? What are you
- 1:23Speaker 1: talking about?
- 1:23Speaker 4: I do.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Nice, simple stuff. It's nothing that you're going to have
- 1:26Speaker 5: to figure out.
- 1:26Speaker 6: It's easy to look at the records and get this
- 1:29Speaker 6: predictive market, and I think these numbers are going to
- 1:32Speaker 6: be somewhat surprising to you, even though it seems pretty logical.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Excellent stuff. Joe, I know you missed yesterday. Hope all
- 1:38Speaker 1: is okay on your front. Welcome back, brother. What's going
- 1:44Speaker 1: on with you?
- 1:46Speaker 4: Uh, Trying to make heads or tails of what the
- 1:49Speaker 4: hell we just witnessed in week one of the NFL
- 1:53Speaker 4: and certainly some very interesting early Friday games in college football.
- 1:58Speaker 3: So a lot to break down.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Okay, let's get to it. Art, what did we learn
- 2:04Speaker 1: last night? The Blue Jays.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Terrible loss by them. Terrible loss by the Diamondbacks. There
- 2:15Speaker 2: were some bad losses last night with teams who really
- 2:18Speaker 2: needed to hang in there. You know, obviously the Diamondbacks
- 2:20Speaker 2: still have their series with the Padres, but they're probably
- 2:24Speaker 2: going to have to sweep. And that might not even
- 2:26Speaker 2: be enough. Like you said, bad loss by the Blues.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Great win by the Guardians last night. Obviously, we have
- 2:32Speaker 2: another game tonight. Yep. And then a lot of big
- 2:35Speaker 2: favorites won. You know, Yankees won. Dodgers won. Rays won.
- 2:39Speaker 2: So a lot of teams that were in a lot
- 2:41Speaker 2: of parlays yesterday won. So that's probably good for the Bucs.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Oh, there we go. Joe, Ralph, Joe, I'll go to
- 2:49Speaker 1: you first. Is Cleveland going to make the wild card here?
- 2:53Speaker 1: They got Texas one and a half back, Toronto two,
- 2:56Speaker 1: Baltimore three. Really, that's pretty much it. I think Detroit
- 3:01Speaker 1: and Minnesota are out of it. You think Cleveland's holding on, Joe?
- 3:04Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Listen, I stuck a fork in Texas weeks ago, and
- 3:08Speaker 4: now all of a sudden they can't stop winning and
- 3:11Speaker 4: Houston can't stop losing. So now a 500 team barely
- 3:16Speaker 4: is going to win the West, which means it's the
- 3:18Speaker 4: best of the rest at this. I don't know why
- 3:21Speaker 4: Cleveland's such a big favorite with Toronto right on their
- 3:24Speaker 4: tails for that opportunity.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I don't get it, but I don't trust any of
- 3:29Speaker 3: the teams. That's the problem.
- 3:30Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah. You know, I think this, it's more Cleveland's
- 3:34Speaker 6: only half game behind the White Sox than they play
- 3:36Speaker 6: them tonight in their favor.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So it's win the division.
- 3:38Speaker 5: It's not the wild card for the Guardians.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Yeah, either way. And that's why Kelsey had it at
- 3:45Speaker 1: Cleveland so much further ahead than, you know, the places
- 3:49Speaker 1: that don't have two shots at getting in.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Okay.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Sharp bets, Art DeCesar. What do you got going? Anything
- 3:59Speaker 1: you're seeing in NFL college football? And we got a
- 4:01Speaker 1: big slate of baseball today. Basically, almost every team in play. Yep.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Got two in baseball today. Red Sox and Diamondbacks are on.
- 4:09Speaker 2: And then, as I did yesterday, Prez, I threw out
- 4:11Speaker 2: a couple of college football that have moved. I'll continue
- 4:14Speaker 2: to do that throughout the week. I'll give you three more.
- 4:16Speaker 2: These are actually all totals. They took over in the
- 4:19Speaker 2: Penn State game over 47, took under in the Colorado
- 4:22Speaker 2: game 49 and a half, and took under in TCU
- 4:25Speaker 2: 58 and a half.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Before, let me just jump in here. I want to
- 4:30Speaker 1: talk LA Chargers. We've got a six now. Yesterday, it
- 4:35Speaker 1: was sevens across the board. Six and a half almost
- 4:39Speaker 1: everywhere with a six on tap. There's clearly money coming
- 4:44Speaker 1: in on Vegas. And I understand that. So that's number one.
- 4:48Speaker 1: What are you hearing? And number two, can I please
- 4:52Speaker 1: get a plus three for Jacksonville?
- 4:56Speaker 3: Hmm.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Well, listen, Prez, we said it yesterday, right? We felt
- 4:59Speaker 2: that the Raiders were going to be the better side
- 5:01Speaker 2: if you were getting seven in a divisional game. Obviously,
- 5:04Speaker 2: how bad the Chargers look in week one, we're going
- 5:06Speaker 2: to put probably a lot of betters off them. The
- 5:08Speaker 2: public will still put them in teasers now, and they'll
- 5:12Speaker 2: still put them in money line parlays, but no sharp
- 5:14Speaker 2: betters going to be involved with the Chargers until they
- 5:18Speaker 2: see something out of them.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Art, we got a 54 and a half in the
- 5:23Speaker 1: Detroit Buffalo game. The slide keeps moving up. uh listen
- 5:28Speaker 1: i'm not going to be surprised if chicago and detroit
- 5:32Speaker 1: are our first ever 65 uh however what i wanted
- 5:36Speaker 1: to know from you is and i don't want to
- 5:38Speaker 1: put you on the spot but are there any statistics
- 5:41Speaker 1: or anything you could give us on over and under
- 5:43Speaker 1: 54 and a half is we see 55s every now
- 5:46Speaker 1: and again but this is basically as high as it
- 5:49Speaker 1: gets A little later on in the show, I'm going
- 5:52Speaker 1: to come back to you and ask you what the
- 5:54Speaker 1: numbers are for over that type of a total on
- 5:57Speaker 1: the Thursday night game. Joe, anything to add? Any questions
- 6:02Speaker 1: to ask Art before we get into our parlay of
- 6:05Speaker 1: the day?
- 6:06Speaker 4: Overreaction week two. Can't wait for it. Here it comes.
- 6:10Speaker 1: So let's start there. Joe, who are the teams? Are
- 6:15Speaker 1: we overreacting to the New York Jets? Are we overreacting
- 6:18Speaker 1: to Green Bay? Is Jacksonville as good as they are?
- 6:22Speaker 1: Is Cleveland as bad as they are? What about Arizona?
- 6:26Speaker 1: Who are we over or underreacting to?
- 6:29Speaker 4: Two teams, as far as I'm concerned, Chargers and Broncos.
- 6:33Speaker 4: If you don't think the Chargers will make a turnaround
- 6:36Speaker 4: this week against the Raiders at home, then I don't
- 6:39Speaker 4: know if you've been following Jim Harbaugh and his career.
- 6:41Speaker 3: They will be fine. Not to mention, styles make fights.
- 6:46Speaker 4: And the biggest issue with that defense of the Raiders
- 6:49Speaker 4: and they look good against Miami, but let's face it.
- 6:51Speaker 4: They were our survivor pick. So the four of us
- 6:54Speaker 4: could look good against Miami.
- 6:56Speaker 3: They're going to.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Throw the ball and they're going to throw the ball
- 6:58Speaker 4: all over the yard against the Raiders and Denver at home. Listen,
- 7:02Speaker 4: Denver in September at home in the altitude. If you
- 7:07Speaker 4: think they're going to look like they did, they haven't
- 7:09Speaker 4: won in Kansas City in a million years. So that
- 7:12Speaker 4: should not have been that much of a shock. I
- 7:14Speaker 4: think that's where the two biggest overreactions go. The public
- 7:17Speaker 4: are going to look to fade them. I'm looking to
- 7:20Speaker 4: back them.
- 7:22Speaker 1: So you think that Denver is the play against Jacksonville?
- 7:27Speaker 3: Absolutely. Absolutely.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Ralph, what do you feel about overreaction, underreaction? Any teams
- 7:35Speaker 1: jump out at you you want to talk about real quick?
- 7:38Speaker 6: Yeah, that's going to be part of my TNA press.
- 7:40Speaker 6: And sorry it took me so long, but I have
- 7:43Speaker 6: your numbers for you on those high totals.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Since 2016, there have been.
- 7:47Speaker 6: 106 totals of 54 or higher. They have gone 56
- 7:54Speaker 6: and 44, 56% to the over. And by the way,
- 7:58Speaker 6: since 1998, the highest total in the NFL, 2018, Kansas
- 8:04Speaker 6: City and the Rams were 63 and a half.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Did it go over?
- 8:09Speaker 2: I think that was that Mexico City game, right?
- 8:16Speaker 3: Yes, that could be. Where it was like 50 to 52.
- 8:22Speaker 1: So it went over.
- 8:23Speaker 5: It was 54 to 51.
- 8:24Speaker 6: There was two 60 and a half totals in 2016
- 8:29Speaker 6: and 2018. The Falcons and Packers went over and the
- 8:33Speaker 6: Saints and Falcons went over. So Saints and Falcons went
- 8:36Speaker 6: under by a couple. So totals of 60 or more
- 8:39Speaker 6: and two and one to the over.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Ralph, can you throw in slack that 54 and a
- 8:45Speaker 1: half for me? I got to go on Wager Talk
- 8:47Speaker 1: today later and I'm going to use that exact trend.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Somebody else put up something in the chat group. When
- 8:55Speaker 1: was the last time the New York Jets and the
- 8:57Speaker 1: Cleveland Browns won on the same day? And I think
- 9:02Speaker 1: it said it was like in 1883 when the Duttons
- 9:06Speaker 1: crossed the plains to set up a ranch in Montana,
- 9:10Speaker 1: missing Oregon by almost every death possible.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 9:16Speaker 4: The problem is the Jets are going to be better
- 9:18Speaker 4: than I anticipated, and that's a problem.
- 9:20Speaker 1: They are, Joe. That's a problem. And I think they're
- 9:22Speaker 1: the play. I think they're the play against Green Bay.
- 9:25Speaker 1: We'll talk about that a little later. Parlay of the day, boys. Art,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'll go to you first, my friend. What do you like?
- 9:32Speaker 2: I'm taking over nine in the Mets-Orioles game.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Over nine. There we go. Okay, shootout. Not shootout, but whatever. Art, Ralph,
- 9:42Speaker 1: what do you like?
- 9:44Speaker 5: Yes, run first inning, San Francisco and St.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Louis.
- 9:48Speaker 5: It's minus 105. Guys, I'm going to go with Texas.
- 9:53Speaker 1: They're playing Boston. It's basically a pick-em, Joe.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I don't know. It's minus 150. Give me the Yankees.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I'll take Rodon over Zebby Matthews here. The Yankees start
- 10:07Speaker 4: kicking it into another gear.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Guys, tomorrow, our parlay of the day, all college football. Friday,
- 10:14Speaker 1: it's all NFL. Hit the like button. Subscribe to our channel.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Make sure to comment. We read every... Single one of them. Joe,
- 10:21Speaker 1: predictive markets. Bitcoin has, you know, come down a little
- 10:25Speaker 1: bit of late, but it really has done nothing. I mean, 75.6.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I think right now it's impossible to bet. I'm not
- 10:34Speaker 1: going to even take a guess. It's like it could
- 10:38Speaker 1: be 77. It could be 74. There's no rhyme or reason.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I think we're going to see a run. I've been
- 10:44Speaker 1: telling you guys that for a while now, but I
- 10:46Speaker 1: can't come up with anything for 5 p.m. Eastern.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Right in the middle of every, what is it?
- 10:52Speaker 4: 47 cents for 75, 750, which is kind of what
- 10:56Speaker 4: we are right now.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, that would be the only bet I
- 11:00Speaker 1: would make, but again, it's, it's, it's, it's, I wouldn't
- 11:03Speaker 1: call it volatile, but inside of a thousand, whether it's 76, 75,
- 11:09Speaker 1: it's moving very, like the jumps are very big inside
- 11:14Speaker 1: of that. sort of $ 1, 500 window. So I got nothing
- 11:18Speaker 1: for you there. Anything in the wild card position for
- 11:22Speaker 1: the AL East?
- 11:23Speaker 4: Well, I just wanted to check quick, Prez, to see
- 11:28Speaker 4: after one week. What are the future odds looking here
- 11:32Speaker 4: for the NFL championship? And while the Rams lost, got
- 11:36Speaker 4: their ass handed to them, and somehow they're still higher
- 11:39Speaker 4: than everybody else here.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I mean, what was it?
- 11:42Speaker 4: Ravens, Bills, and now you're talking about the Rams. 49ers
- 11:48Speaker 4: actually increased because they were around four cents before the
- 11:51Speaker 4: season started. And look at what happened to Kansas City.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Kansas City was about two cents. Now they're seven after
- 11:58Speaker 4: one win.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Well, I want to ask you guys about Kansas City
- 12:02Speaker 1: real quick. Are we overreacting? Because, man, if Walker can
- 12:10Speaker 1: do what he did, that is going to open that
- 12:12Speaker 1: offense up and their defense look great, too. Are we
- 12:15Speaker 1: overreacting to Kansas City right now, Joe?
- 12:21Speaker 4: Well, yeah, again, the thing, the most impressive part of
- 12:24Speaker 4: that game to me was Mahomes running the ball into
- 12:27Speaker 4: the end zone, inside the 15-yard line without hesitation, took
- 12:32Speaker 4: on tacklers, and it was like, that is a great
- 12:35Speaker 4: sign for them. Having a running game, an elite running game,
- 12:39Speaker 4: makes that division extremely interesting now, but ultimately, you know
- 12:43Speaker 4: what it's going to come down to.
- 12:46Speaker 3: It's going to come down to keeping him out.
- 12:48Speaker 4: And they did it with a undrafted rookie protecting his
- 12:52Speaker 4: blind side.
- 12:53Speaker 3: So Josh Simmons didn't even play.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Listen, Kansas City, if you think the refs won't favor them,
- 12:59Speaker 4: you're out of your mind.
- 13:00Speaker 3: They will.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Absolutely they will. That touchdown by Kelsey was out of
- 13:07Speaker 1: control holding. Right in front. He literally had bear hug.
- 13:12Speaker 1: You should be holding 10 yards, bear hugging 20. It
- 13:18Speaker 1: was egregious, egregious.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Fuck, they're not running the ball 220 yards every week.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Either, though.
- 13:24Speaker 3: They're not running 220 yards every week, so.
- 13:27Speaker 1: No, and teams will start game planning. Ralph, looking at,
- 13:31Speaker 1: let's go back to that chart. So San Francisco, 8%
- 13:34Speaker 1: for me. I've been touting San Francisco all the way through.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I gave them out to win the division at plus 300,
- 13:41Speaker 1: to win the conference, to win the Super Bowl. My
- 13:44Speaker 1: favorite bet here is San Fran at 8%. What do
- 13:48Speaker 1: you like? Plus, plus, they're going to be at least
- 13:51Speaker 1: 9% after they whoop Miami.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yes, they will.
- 13:56Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, color me crazy, but very rarely does
- 14:01Speaker 6: a coach like Ben Johnson come out and say he's
- 14:04Speaker 6: going to run up the score every time. He's going
- 14:06Speaker 6: to try to shut out every opponent. I think the
- 14:08Speaker 6: Bears have a shot to win that division. Yes, it's
- 14:11Speaker 6: going to be tough with Detroit, but taking away the
- 14:14Speaker 6: top five or six favorites in that next level, I
- 14:17Speaker 6: would look at them.
- 14:18Speaker 3: That's not a bad five cents.
- 14:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Art, five cents, this is to win the Super Bowl.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Five cents to win the Super Bowl on the Bears.
- 14:28Speaker 1: It's not horrible. Honestly, if this team can put up
- 14:31Speaker 1: 50 every game, they won't need a defense. They'll figure
- 14:35Speaker 1: out a way to get it done.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Well, let me ask you this, because the question we
- 14:39Speaker 3: should all be asking.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Is, Ralph, how many games do we have to play
- 14:45Speaker 4: in order five cents to turn into 25 cents for
- 14:48Speaker 4: the Bears? How many wins is that going to take,
- 14:50Speaker 4: do you think? Because the schedule is interesting with the Bears.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Wouldn't it be five cents to win the Super Bowl?
- 14:56Speaker 4: No, it's five cents now. How many games would I
- 14:58Speaker 4: have to win from this to go five to 25?
- 15:00Speaker 3: Eight.
- 15:03Speaker 5: I think they're going to be under the radar. The Lions.
- 15:08Speaker 6: I think the Lions are going to get the love.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Minnesota Packers are going to get love. Anyone in that
- 15:13Speaker 6: division can win. So I think it's going to take
- 15:15Speaker 6: them more than you think. If someone jumps out to
- 15:17Speaker 6: a 6-0 and they're leading their division, I don't think
- 15:20Speaker 6: the Bears are going to be leading their division. They
- 15:22Speaker 6: may be up by a game, but they're not going
- 15:23Speaker 6: to run away with this division. So I think there
- 15:26Speaker 6: will be value with them for a few weeks.
- 15:29Speaker 4: What happens quicker, though? Kansas City? I mean, who jumps
- 15:32Speaker 4: the quickest here?
- 15:33Speaker 3: Kansas? Who's in the easiest division?
- 15:36Speaker 6: Oh, I think Kansas City jumps quicker now with Chargers'
- 15:39Speaker 6: performance and with Denver's performance.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, and Kansas City has Indianapolis up. Yeah, I
- 15:48Speaker 1: think Kansas City jumps quicker. I think San Fran jumps quicker.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I'll tell you the team that I think is going
- 15:54Speaker 1: to jump the biggest is the Ravens, guys. I think
- 15:57Speaker 1: the Ravens you know, really looked incredible on Sunday offensively.
- 16:02Speaker 1: And now they've got New Orleans. There's zero reason, even without, say, Flowers,
- 16:07Speaker 1: but I think he'll play. But there's zero reason they
- 16:10Speaker 1: don't put up 40 here either and whoop New Orleans.
- 16:14Speaker 1: And then it's going to be like, holy shit, the
- 16:16Speaker 1: Ravens are back. So I think if you want to
- 16:20Speaker 1: make a short-term turnaround bet, I think the Ravens are
- 16:24Speaker 1: the right play.
- 16:25Speaker 4: It's wild to me that the Rams got their asses
- 16:28Speaker 4: handed to them, and now they're 12 cents, and they're still.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Well, they dropped six points. They're still five cents better
- 16:34Speaker 3: than the 49ers? Yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 16:38Speaker 3: I don't get it.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's amazing. And I wanted to make one last
- 16:44Speaker 1: mention real quick, guys. We talk about great coaches. You know,
- 16:48Speaker 1: we talk about Sean McVay and Mike Shannon, and I
- 16:50Speaker 1: think Art mentioned Mike McDonald, best coach in football. I
- 16:54Speaker 1: think Andy Reid's the best coach in football. And I
- 16:58Speaker 1: watched that game, and I watched his game plan. It's
- 17:03Speaker 1: hard to anoint Mike McDonald, Mike Shanahan, or not Mike Shanahan,
- 17:09Speaker 1: you know what I'm talking about. It's hard to anoint
- 17:12Speaker 1: Sean McVay. You got... a three-time Super Bowl champ with
- 17:20Speaker 1: a team that just came out and laid the smackdown
- 17:23Speaker 1: on Denver, I would look at Andy Reid for coach
- 17:26Speaker 1: of the year.
- 17:29Speaker 3: After one week?
- 17:30Speaker 5: And how many people thought up?
- 17:32Speaker 1: It's not that. One sec, Ralph. It's not that. It's
- 17:35Speaker 1: how bad they were last year. It's the fact that
- 17:38Speaker 1: they've got a real shot to be unbelievably improved. Sorry, Ralph.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Thinking back what a dozen years ago, how many people
- 17:47Speaker 6: thought when he left Philly, he was only going to
- 17:49Speaker 6: be a one or two year stop in Kansas city,
- 17:51Speaker 6: let alone do the exact same thing and, and, and
- 17:54Speaker 6: change another franchise around. That's the amazing part to me.
- 17:57Speaker 6: We'll see if Harbaugh can match that. The Giants sure
- 17:59Speaker 6: look good week one. So, you know, he's in that
- 18:01Speaker 6: same boat.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Joe, Art.
- 18:08Speaker 2: The one thing I'll say about the Bears and them
- 18:12Speaker 2: moving up the predictive markets and all that quicker than
- 18:14Speaker 2: maybe expected, if they keep scoring the way they score,
- 18:19Speaker 2: people are going to look to bet them. If they're
- 18:20Speaker 2: going to average 35 points a game, I know they're
- 18:24Speaker 2: not going to average 59, but I think people might
- 18:26Speaker 2: look a little bit quicker. I still think the Lions
- 18:28Speaker 2: are the best team in that division, despite them looking
- 18:30Speaker 2: the way they did week one, but Man, I could
- 18:33Speaker 2: see the Bears really shooting up the board if they
- 18:35Speaker 2: start 4-5, 6-0, or whatever it may be, and they're
- 18:38Speaker 2: scoring all these points.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I can't believe I'm saying this.
- 18:40Speaker 5: The greatest show on grass on Lake Michigan?
- 18:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:45Speaker 4: If we use your benchmark, Prez, I can't believe I'm
- 18:49Speaker 4: saying this. Aaron Glenn wins eight games. Is he not
- 18:53Speaker 4: coach of the year?
- 18:54Speaker 1: No. Yes, that's a big if, though, especially in that division.
- 19:00Speaker 3: I'm just saying, right? I mean, what do you think, Ralph?
- 19:04Speaker 6: There should be a Vegas coach of the year for
- 19:06Speaker 6: the coach that covers the win total by the most.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Same with college football.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I agree.
- 19:09Speaker 6: The Circa or someone or Caesars or, you know, the
- 19:12Speaker 6: property should come up with a coach of the year,
- 19:14Speaker 6: that team that covered their win total by the most.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I just want to point out to everybody what 59
- 19:22Speaker 1: points sounds like. Eight touchdowns. Eight touchdowns and one field goal. Eight,
- 19:31Speaker 1: eight touchdowns. There, I would argue, and I could be
- 19:37Speaker 1: wrong here, but I would argue that 70% of football
- 19:42Speaker 1: games don't have eight touchdowns in it.
- 19:44Speaker 6: No.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Combined.
- 19:48Speaker 6: There have been, since, been, since 1989, there have been
- 19:51Speaker 6: only four NFL teams that have scored 60 points since 1989.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Wow.
- 19:55Speaker 5: They aren't one of them. It shows you.
- 20:00Speaker 6: But hey, and Prez, I also have your answer. Sorry
- 20:03Speaker 6: it took me so long, but you know me. I
- 20:05Speaker 6: have my database there. So when you have a question,
- 20:07Speaker 6: I'm here to help on Wednesdays. The Browns and the Jets,
- 20:11Speaker 6: each won December 24th, 2023. They also won December 10th
- 20:15Speaker 6: in 2023. And they also won October 15th in 2023.
- 20:17Speaker 6: So then it's another statement.
- 20:18Speaker 5: I will look for it. Who the hell was the
- 20:20Speaker 5: coach of the Jets in 2023?
- 20:30Speaker 3: Who was the coach? How do you think they won
- 20:32Speaker 3: three games in December?
- 20:35Speaker 2: Sala was the coach?
- 20:37Speaker 5: 23?
- 20:37Speaker 1: That seems right.
- 20:39Speaker 3: That's about right. That could be. Yeah. They won three
- 20:45Speaker 3: games in December. That's out of control. Oh, no.
- 20:47Speaker 1: The Giants. It's the Giants. The last time the Giants
- 20:50Speaker 1: and the Jets won on the same day was September 18th, 1922.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Is that actually true?
- 21:01Speaker 3: I'll tell you what.
- 21:02Speaker 6: After I get off my segment, I will look that up.
- 21:05Speaker 6: I will put it in Slack so you could share
- 21:07Speaker 6: it with our viewers. After I'm off the show.
- 21:09Speaker 5: I will get it for you.
- 21:09Speaker 3: I'm still trying to figure out how the Jets and
- 21:10Speaker 3: the Browns.
- 21:11Speaker 6: You're talking the Jets and the Giants just within the
- 21:13Speaker 6: same day, right?
- 21:14Speaker 3: Mack Beavers.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Mack Beavers, who, by the way, Mack, shout out to
- 21:18Speaker 1: you if you watch the show, man.
- 21:19Speaker 3: You've been following us forever.
- 21:22Speaker 1: It says on the same day, September 18th, 1922. That
- 21:27Speaker 1: is literally a year before Harrison Ford and the Duttons. Okay, enough.
- 21:34Speaker 6: You sure it's not like the Jets and Giants at
- 21:37Speaker 6: home because they share a stadium they could never play.
- 21:39Speaker 3: On the same day?
- 21:41Speaker 1: Hey, guys, I'm telling you what Mac Beavers wrote. Let's
- 21:44Speaker 1: move on. Before we get into TNA, let's take care
- 21:47Speaker 1: of some business. I got me a 5% total on Sunday,
- 21:52Speaker 1: and I am so freaking pumped about this play, I
- 21:55Speaker 1: cannot even tell you. This is, I've had six, six
- 22:01Speaker 1: 5% total bets since April. I won five of them.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I am 65% in all total bets in the last year.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Ten months. 65% in all total bets in the last
- 22:20Speaker 1: ten months. This is as strong a total as I
- 22:25Speaker 1: will have. It is a 5% play. It is up
- 22:28Speaker 1: at WagerTalk. I have a coupon for you. Prez10. P-R-E-Z
- 22:34Speaker 1: for Americans. P-R-E-Z for everyone else.
- 22:38Speaker 5: 10.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Prez10. You get $ 10 off my 5% total. I don't,
- 22:46Speaker 1: why are you even hearing the rest of this? You
- 22:48Speaker 1: should be away from this and buying it right now.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Go now, now, now. Okay, Joe, what do you got?
- 22:57Speaker 4: It's just, I think he wants us to go now.
- 23:00Speaker 4: I think we should go now. I don't know what
- 23:02Speaker 4: we're doing. Why are we wasting time? We've got two
- 23:06Speaker 4: college football plays up already and two NFL plays getting
- 23:12Speaker 4: posted here.
- 23:13Speaker 3: This afternoon, so four on tap here for this weekend.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Art?
- 23:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I got a baseball play up today. Like I said,
- 23:23Speaker 2: still grinding out that baseball, and I will have my
- 23:26Speaker 2: college and NFL, including a 5% NFL play, up either
- 23:30Speaker 2: later today or early tomorrow. Check out my page, wt.buzz.com.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And Mr. Ralph Michaels.
- 23:39Speaker 6: I'm still working on my football card. I'll be finalizing
- 23:42Speaker 6: it tonight and tomorrow. There's two games I have circled
- 23:45Speaker 6: for a potential 5%, so make sure you check out
- 23:47Speaker 6: my homepage if that occurs. Baseball still number one in
- 23:52Speaker 6: the number one trifecta in MLB using all Nerfy plays,
- 23:56Speaker 6: win percentage, ROI, and profits. So check that out, wt.buzz
- 24:01Speaker 6: backslash rm.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I just want to point out to Joe and Art,
- 24:05Speaker 1: Ralph's had an outstanding calendar year. Just absolutely dominated in
- 24:11Speaker 1: sports betting. So congratulations for that, Ralph. Outstanding stuff. Okay, guys,
- 24:17Speaker 1: the NFL presidential address is up. Check it out. And also,
- 24:22Speaker 1: if you guys did not see yesterday's show, it's only, what, 12,
- 24:25Speaker 1: 13 minutes, Art? 15, I think, maybe. Yeah, about 15 minutes.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Art and I literally go down the entire NFL slate,
- 24:34Speaker 1: top to bottom. It's really worth a listen. So it's
- 24:38Speaker 1: really quick. Check that out. Plus, of course, the NFL
- 24:41Speaker 1: presidential address, only 20 minutes long. Ralph, this segment is yours,
- 24:47Speaker 1: my friend.
- 24:49Speaker 6: Well, first, we're going to talk about the NFL and.
- 24:53Speaker 6: We did not have discussions about bringing this TNA, but
- 24:56Speaker 6: it really works. And Joe and Prez and all you guys,
- 24:59Speaker 6: what you have said, week one overreactions in the NFL.
- 25:03Speaker 6: So I went back to 2010.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Simple, guys. This system can't be any simpler.
- 25:09Speaker 6: Since 2010, in game two, if you play a team
- 25:13Speaker 6: off a loss versus a team off a win, that's it.
- 25:17Speaker 6: Those teams have gone 68 and 53, 56.2%. Not a
- 25:22Speaker 6: wild number, but a 56% ATS record in 16 years is.
- 25:27Speaker 5: Something you need to at least be focused on.
- 25:30Speaker 6: But if that team is off a loss as a
- 25:33Speaker 6: favorite against the team off a win, that percentage goes
- 25:37Speaker 6: to 30 and 19, 61.2%.
- 25:37Speaker 5: That's the Rams, the Chargers, and the Titans.
- 25:45Speaker 6: And if the team is off a loss, is a
- 25:47Speaker 6: favorite off a team off a win, and we eliminate
- 25:50Speaker 6: games as a dog of six or more, that'll take
- 25:53Speaker 6: the Titans out of the equation. But those teams are 68.4%
- 25:59Speaker 6: against the spread since 2010. That applies to the Rams
- 26:03Speaker 6: and Chargers this week. So as you guys said, the
- 26:07Speaker 6: public looks at a team looking bad. A public looks
- 26:10Speaker 6: at a team looking good. If they happen to be
- 26:12Speaker 6: matching up, It's not what the public would expect.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Joe, you mentioned that, too, right off the top.
- 26:19Speaker 1: You singled out the Chargers there, and it makes sense.
- 26:25Speaker 4: Especially against the Raiders. And the Chargers are home, too. So, yeah,
- 26:30Speaker 4: I don't like the Raiders' secondary, but Malik Willis and
- 26:33Speaker 4: the Dolphins were not equipped to take advantage of it.
- 26:36Speaker 4: But I can promise you Herbert will, and even Mr.
- 26:41Speaker 3: What is it? Capri's there.
- 26:43Speaker 4: He will figure out a way to get that offense
- 26:45Speaker 4: going before it's all said and done.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Mr. Capri. I was thinking Aaron Donald at first, and
- 26:52Speaker 1: then I realized there's two of them.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right. There's two of them. Not Aaron Donald.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Aaron Glenn.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Mikey McD.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Yes. The New York Jets coach is also in the
- 27:01Speaker 1: Capri's all the time.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Yep.
- 27:03Speaker 1: So for the record, I've never worn a Capri pants
- 27:07Speaker 1: in my life. Ever. Not even one single time. Any
- 27:11Speaker 1: of you? No.
- 27:13Speaker 3: I wouldn't even know where to buy them.
- 27:15Speaker 2: You guys wear socks?
- 27:16Speaker 1: I don't ever go out without socks. Are you barefoot guys?
- 27:21Speaker 1: Any of you?
- 27:22Speaker 2: I refuse to put flip-flops on. I don't do any
- 27:25Speaker 2: of that.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Ralph's in Florida now, so Ralph understands.
- 27:28Speaker 4: You understand the concept, Ralph.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I also don't show people.
- 27:34Speaker 6: Don't show people my nasty-ass nails. So those are those
- 27:37Speaker 6: fisherman sandals that cover your toes.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Yep, there you go.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Okay, but if you wear, like, loafers and a pair
- 27:43Speaker 1: of jeans, are you wearing socks?
- 27:47Speaker 5: I've worn long pants once in the last two years,
- 27:49Speaker 5: and that was at a wedding.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Atta boy, Ralph. That's it. Welcome to Florida.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Public service announcement! I'd like to apologize to all people
- 27:59Speaker 1: in Florida who's had to see that. We will talk
- 28:01Speaker 1: to Ralph. He will put pants on. Okay. Well, what
- 28:06Speaker 1: do you got for us in college football?
- 28:10Speaker 5: Well, first, this is pretty simple, but I think there's
- 28:12Speaker 5: some logic to it. So I want your opinions if
- 28:15Speaker 5: you guys agree or disagree. What changed in 2024 in
- 28:22Speaker 5: college football? Signetti comes over from James Madison, and he
- 28:27Speaker 5: was really the first true coach ever. That brought, what, 14,
- 28:31Speaker 5: 15 players with them. That was the first time where
- 28:34Speaker 5: a coach came packaged with a bunch of starters. Well,
- 28:37Speaker 5: we've seen that more and more the last couple years.
- 28:40Speaker 5: In fact, this year, Oklahoma.
- 28:42Speaker 6: State has 21 players that was on North Texas last year.
- 28:47Speaker 6: And Penn State has an amazing 24 players that were
- 28:51Speaker 6: on Iowa State last year. So why am I bringing
- 28:55Speaker 6: that up? Well, we've seen... season games week one and
- 29:00Speaker 6: week two games game number one and game number two
- 29:03Speaker 6: were favorites started covering at a nice clip last year
- 29:07Speaker 6: and they've even done better this season so some context
- 29:13Speaker 6: from 2020 to 2024 in that five-year span game one
- 29:21Speaker 6: and game two favorites 48% against the spread and Home favorites, 49%.
- 29:28Speaker 6: Away favorites, 48%. Below the Mendoza, below the Mendoza, below
- 29:33Speaker 6: the Mendoza. This year, game one and two, favorites, 57%.
- 29:38Speaker 6: Home favorites, 61%. And away favorites, 52%. Now, game one
- 29:43Speaker 6: and two, favorites of 21 or more. Five-year span, 49%, 50%, 29%.
- 29:59Speaker 5: Favorites of 21 or more this season, 65 and 40, 62%.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Home favorites of 21 or more, 64%. Away favorites, only
- 30:04Speaker 5: one or three. So what we're seeing is.
- 30:14Speaker 6: bigger gap between the best and the worst when you
- 30:17Speaker 6: have the powerful teams that are loading their rosters versus
- 30:22Speaker 6: FBS lower land teams or FCS teams that got their
- 30:25Speaker 6: rosters devastated. There was a roster, I think the highest
- 30:28Speaker 6: this year, they lost 64 players. That's like out of
- 30:30Speaker 6: 110 players. Imagine 64 people leaving your team. So Early
- 30:35Speaker 6: in the season, these non-conference games, do not be afraid
- 30:38Speaker 6: to start looking at favorites as the disparity keeps getting
- 30:41Speaker 6: wider from the elite teams to the bottom teams. And
- 30:45Speaker 6: we've seen these big favorites cover this year. I think
- 30:47Speaker 6: that will continue throughout this non-conference schedule. But then remember,
- 30:51Speaker 6: once the conference season starts, those numbers will be even
- 30:55Speaker 6: out because those lower echelon teams playing each other. And
- 30:58Speaker 6: of course, conference play in the power force schedules.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Any thoughts, Joe or Art?
- 31:06Speaker 3: A little early, but... It makes a lot of sense.
- 31:09Speaker 2: A little early for thoughts.
- 31:11Speaker 3: No, no, it's still low.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Yeah, again, Ralph, I mean, I'll be— Joe, last year, Joe,
- 31:17Speaker 4: it was about 55%.
- 31:17Speaker 6: After that Sennetti bump in 2024, we saw a few
- 31:22Speaker 6: more teams do it last year. But, I mean, heck,
- 31:24Speaker 6: I mean, it's crazy. South Florida guys all going to Auburn.
- 31:28Speaker 6: You know, all those guys from Madison going to UCLA.
- 31:31Speaker 6: It's just a massive rebounding that those teams that are
- 31:34Speaker 6: getting every starter decimated from them are getting these big
- 31:39Speaker 6: points and they can't play early in the season.
- 31:41Speaker 5: Because they have all these entirely new rosters.
- 31:43Speaker 6: So, again, we don't know if it's going to pan out,
- 31:45Speaker 6: but just be cognizant of it, that these big favorites
- 31:48Speaker 6: are not the negative that you might expect thinking you
- 31:50Speaker 6: want to fade them.
- 31:51Speaker 4: Yeah, well, you had Franklin brought a lot to Virginia Tech,
- 31:55Speaker 4: but I know Eric Morris and that North Tech, and
- 31:57Speaker 4: that was one of the big question marks. with Oklahoma
- 32:01Speaker 4: State is you're bringing all those guys on. Listen, Oklahoma
- 32:04Speaker 4: State plays in the Big 12. That's a big step up, Ralph,
- 32:06Speaker 4: than North Texas and what was going on. So in
- 32:09Speaker 4: a lot of these spots, you just don't know what
- 32:11Speaker 4: are you going to get. I mean, Va Tech, James
- 32:15Speaker 4: Franklin brought his quarterback that he had. I think he
- 32:17Speaker 4: only played a half a dozen games at Penn State.
- 32:19Speaker 4: So there's a lot of mixing and matching. But to
- 32:23Speaker 4: your point, Ralph, familiarity with some of these teams and coaches.
- 32:26Speaker 4: You know, guys, how many new coaches we got this year?
- 32:29Speaker 3: It's absurd.
- 32:31Speaker 6: So, Joe, you mean like it's hard to figure out
- 32:33Speaker 6: what's going to happen when an Oklahoma State loses by
- 32:38Speaker 6: 10 points in week one and then wins as a
- 32:40Speaker 6: 24-point favorite?
- 32:41Speaker 4: Against a team that they dominated at North Texas.
- 32:46Speaker 6: It was one of the most dominant offensive and defensive
- 32:48Speaker 6: line performances I've ever seen against Oregon. I mean, the
- 32:52Speaker 6: 300 yards rushing and 8.0, and they held Oregon to 3.0.
- 32:56Speaker 6: If you were watching those games with no jerseys on,
- 32:59Speaker 6: you would think Oklahoma State was a 28-point favorite.
- 33:02Speaker 5: They looked that good against Oregon.
- 33:04Speaker 6: It wasn't a fluke where they had three pick sixes.
- 33:07Speaker 5: It was a complete domination.
- 33:09Speaker 3: And now that's the ceiling, Ralph, isn't it?
- 33:11Speaker 4: I mean, because we didn't get that in Tulsa, and
- 33:14Speaker 4: we still didn't know what the hell this team was
- 33:16Speaker 4: all about. But boy, oh boy, that's a different playing
- 33:20Speaker 4: field right there in the Big 12.
- 33:23Speaker 5: Were you a fan as an alum, Joe, when you
- 33:25Speaker 5: brought Morrison?
- 33:27Speaker 3: I was, but again, I didn't.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Listen, Morris owned Tulsa at North Texas. All those players
- 33:33Speaker 4: came with him. You thought they would beat Tulsa. They
- 33:35Speaker 4: looked like they never played football before. They go home,
- 33:38Speaker 4: and Oregon comes in, and they just smack Oregon all
- 33:41Speaker 4: over the place and be an outfitter. So now you
- 33:44Speaker 4: know the dichotomy. Now you know the ceiling, and you
- 33:47Speaker 4: know what the floor is. So the sky could be
- 33:51Speaker 4: the limit.
- 33:53Speaker 6: Not as bad as a 24-10 loss. Remember, they had
- 33:56Speaker 6: a yardage edge. They turned the ball over four times.
- 33:58Speaker 6: There were minus three turnovers. I think teams that are
- 34:01Speaker 6: minus three turnovers only win the game about 11% of
- 34:04Speaker 6: the time. So they weren't quite as bad against Tulsa
- 34:07Speaker 6: as they were good against Oregon.
- 34:09Speaker 3: And they were 0-7 on fourth down.
- 34:11Speaker 1: They're dead to me. That's the bottom line. That team
- 34:14Speaker 1: is freaking dead to me. I had the over in
- 34:17Speaker 1: the first game. They forgot there was a game to play.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Then I had Oregon in the second game. They didn't
- 34:22Speaker 1: show up. Let's move the hell on. That team has
- 34:25Speaker 1: given me freaking P-S-T-D-Q-Y-Z, whatever the hell that is.
- 34:31Speaker 6: It's all kidding aside, but our viewers need to know.
- 34:35Speaker 6: It's okay to throw a team out that you're not
- 34:37Speaker 6: going to handicap. Like, for two straight years, I couldn't
- 34:39Speaker 6: pick an Auburn game right. I just didn't even look
- 34:42Speaker 6: at them. I mean, there's enough games.
- 34:43Speaker 5: To try to find the value.
- 34:44Speaker 6: If you're not seeing a team right, you just take
- 34:47Speaker 6: them off your card, cross them off, and keep moving on.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Yeah, except I'm a sucker and always learn that too late. Okay. Well, Michael, everyone.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Friends, one more thing. Sorry, I'll do it quick.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Yes.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 35:00Speaker 6: Okay. It's like looking, when I do an NFL game
- 35:04Speaker 6: one off a win, game one off a loss, I
- 35:05Speaker 6: want to see if it translates into college football. 2-0
- 35:09Speaker 6: teams versus 0-2 teams. And again, college football is so
- 35:13Speaker 6: different because you can be 2-0 as a 50-point favorite
- 35:15Speaker 6: twice or 0-2 as a 50-point dog twice. But if
- 35:18Speaker 6: you blindly just look at every 2-0 team against every
- 35:22Speaker 6: 0-2 team, it is not like the NFL. 2-0 teams
- 35:26Speaker 6: are 61.4% against the spread since 2017. 2-0 home teams
- 35:33Speaker 6: against 0-2 teams, 67% against the spread. And if they're
- 35:40Speaker 6: a home favorite of 12 or more and they're 2-0
- 35:42Speaker 6: against an 0-2 team, how about 74% against the spread
- 35:47Speaker 6: since 2017? So something to keep an eye on in
- 35:51Speaker 6: college football as well. 2-0, double-digit favorites, 74% ATS. There
- 35:58Speaker 6: we go.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Well, if we'd have you on the haircut play section,
- 36:01Speaker 1: but you'd have to grow your hair if you lost
- 36:04Speaker 1: the play. And, well, I don't think that's going to happen, so.
- 36:08Speaker 6: You know, my hair about here grows because it curls
- 36:11Speaker 6: on my thing. And then I know I have to
- 36:12Speaker 6: go get a haircut when it curls on my ear.
- 36:14Speaker 6: So that's my haircut alert.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:17Speaker 1: We're both of ear. So I don't yet have ear
- 36:20Speaker 1: hair issues, but clearly my nostril hairs grow well. Yes. Anyway.
- 36:26Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Love you, Ralph.
- 36:30Speaker 5: Appreciate you guys.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Thank you very much.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Man, I tell you guys, that's a hell of a segment.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I mean, the Wednesday show is long. I get it.
- 36:37Speaker 1: But tons of incredible information. Guys, tomorrow's show is our
- 36:42Speaker 1: contest show. So remember that. We're going to pick our
- 36:46Speaker 1: survivor tomorrow. We're also going to pick some NFL, our
- 36:52Speaker 1: NFL pick five. How did we do in our NFL?
- 36:54Speaker 1: I think we're at four and one, right?
- 36:57Speaker 2: No, three and two.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Three and two.
- 37:01Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 37:01Speaker 5: That's okay. That's fine.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Let's go three and two every week.
- 37:05Speaker 3: I've been doing Survivor.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Survivor was a slam dunk.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Thank God. I took the Chargers, and I got
- 37:14Speaker 1: to tell you something, guys, and I actually mean this.
- 37:18Speaker 1: so teddy and i both took the chargers and teddy
- 37:21Speaker 1: and i were equally happy when we lost and i
- 37:23Speaker 1: know that sounds so weird that's great neither of us
- 37:28Speaker 1: wanted to be in that stupid thing and we were
- 37:31Speaker 1: both like we're doing it for our brands and we
- 37:33Speaker 1: get pressure i hate survivor and it and it's like
- 37:41Speaker 1: I wasn't even upset. I was like, okay, that's done
- 37:44Speaker 1: for the year. Let's move on. Now, I am in Survivor.
- 37:48Speaker 1: The Walker one, $ 25 a team. I'm in the big one,
- 37:53Speaker 1: another $ 100 one that Kelly and everybody else is in.
- 37:57Speaker 1: But the $ 1, 000 Circus Survivor, I am free and clear.
- 38:02Speaker 2: You're still in, Prez. You're still in.
- 38:04Speaker 3: We, we.
- 38:06Speaker 2: We, yeah, exactly.
- 38:06Speaker 1: You're still in.
- 38:07Speaker 4: Arch.
- 38:08Speaker 2: I know.
- 38:09Speaker 1: We've already succumbed to the alpha in the room. Me
- 38:13Speaker 1: and you aren't picking any of these survivor picks. We're
- 38:15Speaker 1: just going to agree with Joe.
- 38:17Speaker 3: No, our boys aren't with the Raiders. And you like
- 38:21Speaker 3: Jacksonville as well.
- 38:22Speaker 1: I know.
- 38:23Speaker 2: You and I like Jacksonville.
- 38:25Speaker 3: We did like Jacksonville.
- 38:27Speaker 2: We never thought about the Chargers. I think we were
- 38:30Speaker 2: going to.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Win last week either on the Raiders.
- 38:33Speaker 2: That's it. Jacksonville.
- 38:34Speaker 1: But it's better we got the Raiders out of the way.
- 38:36Speaker 3: On a big favorite of week one.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Well, you wait, Joe, because tomorrow we're going to be
- 38:42Speaker 1: discussing Tampa Bay. Okay, let's move on. 98%?
- 38:45Speaker 3: I mean, it's going to be absurd. It's going to
- 38:49Speaker 3: be absolutely.
- 38:49Speaker 4: And if Detroit would have lost, and they should have
- 38:52Speaker 4: lost because nobody can tell what a forward pass is
- 38:55Speaker 4: or a backwards pass, apparently. It's the intent, whatever the
- 38:58Speaker 4: hell that was.
- 39:00Speaker 3: What, Art? Another 20% would have went out the window?
- 39:03Speaker 2: You could have knocked out, yeah, like half the pool.
- 39:06Speaker 3: Unreal. It's incredible.
- 39:08Speaker 1: It's incredible. Guys, so every week on Wednesdays, we're going
- 39:12Speaker 1: to give out our favorite side bet. Art's gonna be
- 39:17Speaker 1: doing it for his hair we'll go to him last
- 39:20Speaker 1: i'll start right off the bat.
- 39:22Speaker 3: How that happened art.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Well we gotta create drama joe so listen guys here's
- 39:28Speaker 1: the bottom line for me i like the new york
- 39:30Speaker 1: jets plus three and a half against green bay packers
- 39:33Speaker 1: i'll break this down super quick you know i'm one
- 39:36Speaker 1: of these handicappers and more interested in the vibe and
- 39:38Speaker 1: the feel and the rhythm of a team than the
- 39:42Speaker 1: situation or trends that go back 30 years I think
- 39:45Speaker 1: what we saw in Tennessee was a New York Jets
- 39:48Speaker 1: team that showed moxie, that showed confidence. I like their
- 39:52Speaker 1: play calling. There seemed to be a good vibe there.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I understand they're playing Tennessee, but they were on the road.
- 39:59Speaker 1: They were not expected to beat Tennessee by a whole lot.
- 40:04Speaker 1: And I think Green Bay is a team that is
- 40:07Speaker 1: going to regress. I think they lack wide receivers. I
- 40:09Speaker 1: think they lack a running game. I think Jordan Love
- 40:11Speaker 1: is overrated. I think without Micah Parsons, their defense is susceptible.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I think they're going on the road here. They're not
- 40:18Speaker 1: feeling good about themselves, and the Jets don't need a win.
- 40:21Speaker 1: All they need to do is lose by three. With
- 40:23Speaker 1: that said, I think the Jets are a good money-line bet,
- 40:26Speaker 1: but I'm going to take them plus the three-and-a-half. Joe?
- 40:29Speaker 4: Well, I think I already told you guys that I'm
- 40:34Speaker 4: on Denver on Sunday in Mile High there. Listen— Denver
- 40:42Speaker 4: did not look good, and any time you get Sean
- 40:44Speaker 4: Payton look like a deer caught in the headlights, you
- 40:47Speaker 4: know there are going to be changes. He is one
- 40:49Speaker 4: of the better bounce-back coaches, and let's all face it,
- 40:52Speaker 4: Denver is not as.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Bad as they look there at all.
- 40:56Speaker 4: I mean, giving up 220 yards on the ground, I
- 40:59Speaker 4: can assure you that's not going to happen. And September
- 41:02Speaker 4: is a rough place at mile high to win games in.
- 41:06Speaker 4: So anything under a field goal, I'm good with that.
- 41:10Speaker 4: I mean, not saying that Jacksonville is a terrible team here,
- 41:13Speaker 4: but home field matters in September in a handful of
- 41:17Speaker 4: places in this country. One of them is here in Miami.
- 41:20Speaker 4: The other one is in Tampa. And there's absolutely in
- 41:24Speaker 4: Denver early in the season, a significant edge there. They
- 41:28Speaker 4: got embarrassed. I expect a huge effort. From the Denver
- 41:31Speaker 4: Broncos this weekend.
- 41:33Speaker 1: So, just to let you guys all know, Art DeCesar's
- 41:37Speaker 1: play is San Fran on the money line.
- 41:41Speaker 3: What the hell is that line?
- 41:43Speaker 1: Well, just because he wants to keep his hair, damn it.
- 41:47Speaker 1: He wants to keep his hair.
- 41:50Speaker 2: I'm going to give out something real. I'm going to
- 41:52Speaker 2: give out a road favorite.
- 41:53Speaker 3: All right. Come on.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Let me pick.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Let me guess. Let me guess. Road favorite.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Oh, I know who it is. I know who it is.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Road favorite. It's absolutely Cleveland.
- 42:05Speaker 3: Oh, no, that's not a favorite. I'm sorry.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Carolina. I'm going with Carolina.
- 42:11Speaker 3: I'm going Cincinnati.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Oh, I love Cincinnati.
- 42:15Speaker 3: But they're not a favorite.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I'm taking the defending champs with the best coach in
- 42:20Speaker 2: the league. I think it's a little bit of an
- 42:22Speaker 2: overreaction to the Cardinals. That line was, you know, six,
- 42:26Speaker 2: five and a half, five. It's now four. We're getting
- 42:28Speaker 2: a cheap price on Seattle. Their defensive running game will travel.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Drew Locke will be fine. And listen, the Cardinals might
- 42:36Speaker 2: be better than we thought, but Seattle will still go
- 42:39Speaker 2: in there and win by a touchdown or more.
- 42:41Speaker 1: So there are three and a halves out there. A push,
- 42:43Speaker 1: you keep your hair. We'll give you the four.
- 42:46Speaker 3: No Sam Donald, though, right?
- 42:48Speaker 2: No Sam Donald.
- 42:49Speaker 3: No Sam Donald.
- 42:50Speaker 1: That's right. Yeah, so there we go, Art. That's the
- 42:55Speaker 1: haircut play, everybody. I'm hoping he wins because I'd really
- 42:59Speaker 1: like to keep this segment going because Joe and I
- 43:02Speaker 1: are not cutting our hair no matter what. So that's
- 43:07Speaker 1: for damn sure. Okay, boys, MLB rundown. Microphone's yours. Let's go.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Lots of games.
- 43:13Speaker 3: All right, let's see what we got here.
- 43:15Speaker 4: We got a couple of different games coming up a
- 43:18Speaker 4: little bit later today. And by the way, I think
- 43:21Speaker 4: also last night Milwaukee ended up clinching. I don't know
- 43:25Speaker 4: what took them so long, but some afternoon games, a
- 43:28Speaker 4: lot of afternoon action here. We'll just go to the
- 43:30Speaker 4: late games here. We'll start at 640. Snell versus Abbott.
- 43:34Speaker 4: Dodgers versus Cincinnati. Eight and a half is the total.
- 43:39Speaker 4: And again, I don't know. They're one of the worst
- 43:42Speaker 4: run line teams in all of Major League Baseball this year.
- 43:45Speaker 4: But do we have a choice but to lay it here, Art?
- 43:48Speaker 2: That's the only way you can bet Dodger games, even
- 43:50Speaker 2: though they don't cover. I know you could probably look
- 43:52Speaker 2: other ways and maybe props. It's now strikeouts, team totals,
- 43:56Speaker 2: but it's hard to bet Dodger games right now.
- 43:59Speaker 1: It is.
- 43:59Speaker 3: The athletics. Ooh, athletics. Close one last night. Take it
- 44:03Speaker 3: on Tampa.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Nick Martinez versus something called Abasso. But it's been a
- 44:07Speaker 4: lot of athletic money in the marketplace here.
- 44:10Speaker 3: What are we thinking, Art?
- 44:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm surprised by that. Tampa will be a big...
- 44:15Speaker 2: Moneyline favorite today for the parlay bettors. I will go
- 44:19Speaker 2: Tampa team total over.
- 44:21Speaker 1: All right.
- 44:21Speaker 3: We also have Milwaukee.
- 44:23Speaker 4: Speaking of clinching there, Logan Henderson versus Jones against Pittsburgh.
- 44:28Speaker 4: Seven and a half to total. Milwaukee is a favorite.
- 44:31Speaker 4: Our question is, how hungover are they, Art?
- 44:33Speaker 2: Yep. That's one of my favorite angles. I actually think
- 44:36Speaker 2: taking the plus price for Pittsburgh is the move today,
- 44:40Speaker 2: especially after the clinch last night, the celebrating, the partying.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Maybe a couple of guys out of the lineup. Look
- 44:46Speaker 2: to the Pirates.
- 44:47Speaker 4: Iman Naga and the Cubs taking on the Atlanta Braves here.
- 44:52Speaker 4: This is an interesting one here. Richie going for the Braves.
- 44:57Speaker 4: Minus 140s for Chicago Cubs at home?
- 45:02Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a tough one to figure. You know,
- 45:05Speaker 2: the Braves are still hanging on here. Obviously, the Cubs
- 45:08Speaker 2: can't win their division, but they'll be a playoff team.
- 45:11Speaker 2: I guess I would lean the Cubs.
- 45:12Speaker 4: Robbie Ray taking on Adams there. San Diego, I don't
- 45:16Speaker 4: know how they lost last night, but they did. I'm
- 45:19Speaker 4: just going to keep playing overs, though. 11 is the total,
- 45:21Speaker 4: minus 165. He still walks too many guys from ER.
- 45:25Speaker 4: There could be a ton of runs in that matchup there.
- 45:29Speaker 4: And Merrill Kelly on the mound for Arizona, trying to
- 45:31Speaker 4: bounce back after an extra inning loss last night, taking
- 45:35Speaker 4: on Gusto of Miami.
- 45:36Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 45:38Speaker 2: Sharps are on the D-backs. That was a brutal loss
- 45:40Speaker 2: last night, especially because San Diego lost. And, you know,
- 45:43Speaker 2: Arizona could have picked up a game. Terrible loss. They
- 45:46Speaker 2: have to win tonight. Because, like I said, they still
- 45:48Speaker 2: have that series with San Diego where, at this point,
- 45:51Speaker 2: they probably have to sweep.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Yeah, they do.
- 45:53Speaker 4: Boston to Texas. Gore versus Bennett here tonight. Texas again.
- 45:58Speaker 3: I mean, here comes the West. Yep, here comes the West.
- 46:03Speaker 3: Do we like them again tonight?
- 46:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, listen, it's basically a pick-em price. You know,
- 46:08Speaker 2: too bad that those teams, Arizona or... Texas and Houston
- 46:11Speaker 2: don't have a series left because Texas is only a
- 46:13Speaker 2: game back. So Texas has to keep winning. Obviously, the
- 46:16Speaker 2: Red Sox are in the playoffs.
- 46:17Speaker 4: Yep. Lynch versus Javier, Kansas City back at it against
- 46:20Speaker 4: Houston here. Minus 160 with Christian Javier.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Seems to have figured it out maybe a little bit. Yeah.
- 46:28Speaker 2: I mean, listen, Houston won a game last night that
- 46:30Speaker 2: they need to win. They have to continue to win
- 46:32Speaker 2: with Texas nipping at their heels. I know Kansas City's
- 46:34Speaker 2: been better over the last six weeks, but Houston are nothing.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Baltimore at the Mets. Bassett versus Stock here.
- 46:41Speaker 4: And I believe, did he or did he not hit
- 46:44Speaker 4: his 300th home run last night there, I think. Didn't
- 46:46Speaker 4: he on his, and everyone loved him? He did.
- 46:50Speaker 2: He spiked his bat. The Mets fans were delirious because
- 46:53Speaker 2: they hate ownership so much. I put in the parlay
- 46:57Speaker 2: of the day the over. I think there's going to
- 46:58Speaker 2: be a lot of runs.
- 46:59Speaker 3: There you go.
- 47:00Speaker 4: And that's your Major League Baseball rundown here, Prez.
- 47:06Speaker 3: Oh, still muted.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Sorry. A couple of quick things in the mailbag section.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Authorized rights. Dude picked the Jets. Laugh my ass off.
- 47:16Speaker 1: First Green Bay. How much, how low would your self-esteem
- 47:22Speaker 1: be where you have to be like, laugh my ass off.
- 47:25Speaker 1: He picked the Jets. Like how much problems do you
- 47:31Speaker 1: have in life when that happens?
- 47:34Speaker 2: The game hasn't even happened yet.
- 47:37Speaker 1: The guy's already laughing at us.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Comment on Monday. Are we commenting now?
- 47:42Speaker 4: This is the problem I have with the Jets is
- 47:45Speaker 4: that everyone thinks they suck and they're going to win.
- 47:49Speaker 1: But why the laughing? What is your... Anyway. Kelly, we
- 47:55Speaker 1: love you, Kelly. Glad I tuned in some NFL intel. Remember,
- 47:59Speaker 1: Buffalo opens a new stadium. Yeah. We should have asked Ralph. Guys,
- 48:03Speaker 1: I'm going to get that information for you tomorrow. Okay?
- 48:07Speaker 1: So I will address the new stadium angle tomorrow. And
- 48:13Speaker 1: on that note... Uh, lots of love to all of
- 48:16Speaker 1: you guys. Thanks for commenting. Thanks for liking the show.
- 48:18Speaker 1: It's been a really awesome, uh, time doing this. Yep.
- 48:22Speaker 1: That's the president dress oldest show in wager talk history.
- 48:28Speaker 1: It predates wager talk. That's right. It's on your 21.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Is it up?
- 48:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's up now, dude. I've already got 10,000 people
- 48:38Speaker 1: have already watched the NFL presidential.
- 48:40Speaker 5: Let's go.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay. I got a 5% total for Sunday. Prez, 10.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Other than that, we'll see you all tomorrow.
- 48:50Speaker 5: Bye, Joe. Bye, Art.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Bye, me.
- 48:52Speaker 3: Let's go.
