- 0:31Now wake up!
- 0:33It's time to look at the enemy.
- 0:35Look in the mirror if he is no
- 0:37friend to me.
- 0:38It's not working out,
- 0:39maybe it's the chemistry.
- 0:41It's time to break up so I can
- 0:42make a better me.
- 0:43Yee-haw-ba-da-ba-doo!
- 0:49It's lunchtime!
- 0:52What is going on, everybody?
- 0:53It is lunchtime,
- 0:55and we got the cowboy today.
- 0:59I got a mic.
- 1:00And he's got a mic.
- 1:02He's got a mic.
- 1:04What is going on, Meredith, Vicky, Frida?
- 1:08Good to have you all with us today.
- 1:13Before we get into too much,
- 1:14and there's a lot going on, like...
- 1:17With all the tea going on in the
- 1:19CrossFit space,
- 1:20Jenny's going to have to do a daily
- 1:21dense update.
- 1:23Bruh, it's ridiculous.
- 1:27It is.
- 1:28The sheer volume of stuff that has
- 1:31exploded in the past, I don't know, what,
- 1:33five days, six days, something like that.
- 1:36So crazy.
- 1:38Yeah, bless her.
- 1:39Bless her for keeping up,
- 1:40for being able to keep up.
- 1:43Well, let's start there.
- 1:44I'll go on my riff later.
- 1:46So yesterday, I kind of went off.
- 1:49I saw this guy from CBG.
- 1:52We've actually had him on the show.
- 1:54He was interviewed by Charlie back in the
- 1:56day.
- 1:58Okay.
- 1:58Yeah, Vicky, we know there's that code.
- 2:01Trust us.
- 2:02We're working on it.
- 2:04The equipment just got here last night.
- 2:08We're working through the issues of
- 2:09getting everything set up just right.
- 2:11I don't know if it's the office he's
- 2:13in or whatever.
- 2:15We've finagled with some buttons and we're
- 2:17working on it.
- 2:18We'll get it ironed out in the next
- 2:20couple days for sure.
- 2:22But at least we can hear him clearly
- 2:23now.
- 2:25Worst case scenario,
- 2:26I'll just go back to my earbuds for
- 2:27the rest of the day,
- 2:28but we're trying to get it straight.
- 2:31So, um, so yeah.
- 2:34So yesterday I go on my Instagram,
- 2:36there's all this stuff between Taylor self
- 2:39and the CBG guy.
- 2:40And again, full disclosure,
- 2:41he's been on our show.
- 2:43Charlie interviewed him a couple of times.
- 2:45Um, it is, uh,
- 2:48there is no reverb George Wang.
- 2:50Actually, I do have a reverb button.
- 2:51I just turned all the way down.
- 2:53There it is.
- 2:54Thank you, George Wang.
- 2:58Yeah, that it's much better now.
- 3:00Okay, good, yeah.
- 3:00It was about halfway, FYI.
- 3:03Okay.
- 3:04Which is probably how it came out of
- 3:05the box.
- 3:05I didn't even pay any attention to it.
- 3:07There we go.
- 3:09Sound great.
- 3:11I already got a fix for you, Vicky.
- 3:12George, Meredith, there you go.
- 3:15Appreciate it, Wayne.
- 3:16So, okay, back to the story.
- 3:18CBG guy, he's been on our show.
- 3:21Apparently,
- 3:22he's been called out that maybe the games
- 3:25athletes do not –
- 3:29do not actually do his program they just
- 3:32get paid by him to say they do
- 3:34it and he took offense to that he
- 3:37went out and on a complete assault on
- 3:40the comment sections around youtube
- 3:43instagram and whatever um and then he went
- 3:48old school mafia pulled out a wad of
- 3:50cash said he was gonna fund
- 3:53gonna find the rat i'm gonna find the
- 3:55rat and uh which i don't get like
- 4:01a rat is someone who turns on you
- 4:04and spills the beans i don't know how
- 4:07like i guess that's a rat all right
- 4:10he was finding a rat i don't know
- 4:14and i just like i'm perplexed that that's
- 4:19how you decide to run your business
- 4:23Now,
- 4:24he's done things in the past that I
- 4:25just don't understand.
- 4:27And I know.
- 4:27I have an MBA,
- 4:30and I study business and we do case
- 4:32studies.
- 4:32I don't see guys doing marketing plans
- 4:34with crunk teeth, thick chains,
- 4:40eighties Oakley sunglasses,
- 4:43Hulk Hogan outfits to advertise their
- 4:45business.
- 4:47That's not what I studied in school.
- 4:51But he's chosen to be,
- 4:53that's his persona and more power to him.
- 4:57But then when you're in trouble like this,
- 4:59it doesn't come off well.
- 5:02When then you take all the stuff like
- 5:05that,
- 5:06the over the top stuff that he does,
- 5:08and then go on a crusade through the
- 5:11comment section.
- 5:14Your thoughts.
- 5:16And tag all of your own athletes.
- 5:21To start off with.
- 5:24And tell the people that you're talking
- 5:26to, the audience,
- 5:27to go ask them if they really do
- 5:31the program.
- 5:32So blow up all my athletes' DMs and
- 5:36ask them if they really do my program.
- 5:43I don't have an MBA, Scott.
- 5:46FYI.
- 5:47I have a couple semesters of college.
- 5:49I was about to...
- 5:52And I am fairly certain that that is
- 5:54a, I don't even say a terrible idea,
- 5:57a baffling idea.
- 6:00What I'm going to do is I'm going
- 6:01to call out all of my people.
- 6:04Hey, these are all of my people.
- 6:06If you know that they're not doing what
- 6:10I have programmed for them to do,
- 6:12you tell me and I'll have some money
- 6:14for you.
- 6:17What?
- 6:19What?
- 6:20What?
- 6:22instead of going well you know what we're
- 6:24having a difference of opinion and i'm
- 6:27going to keep doing what i do and
- 6:29you keep doing what you do and then
- 6:30we'll just roll right on along i cannot
- 6:34see this ending well for his business
- 6:38especially well here's what i really not
- 6:40seeing well is because before then
- 6:44Like people were aware of them.
- 6:45I would say,
- 6:46I would say that people hadn't really done
- 6:48much deep, deep dives,
- 6:49but like the people that are in the
- 6:50comments that are leaving testimonials now
- 6:54about, oh,
- 6:55I did this and I had this horrible
- 6:57experience and I gave them this money and
- 6:59then I decided I wanted to do it.
- 7:00And they were like too late.
- 7:01You already signed the contract.
- 7:02I'm not giving you your money or your,
- 7:04your meal plan for whatever.
- 7:09And there's, it's more than one.
- 7:11It's more than two.
- 7:12It's more than three.
- 7:15The last I checked,
- 7:15there were several different stories in
- 7:17there about how this dude was doing less
- 7:21than above board business.
- 7:25And nobody was saying anything before
- 7:27then.
- 7:27But now that you want to come out
- 7:30there and huff and puff and pull your
- 7:32chest out, now all of a sudden, oh,
- 7:36you want to act like that?
- 7:36Cool.
- 7:37This is who this guy really is.
- 7:39or at least who he was with those
- 7:42particular people.
- 7:43And it doesn't take much.
- 7:44Dude, this community is not that big.
- 7:47It's really, really, really not for them.
- 7:53Let's be real, right?
- 7:54Like when you're working on nutrition,
- 7:58there's a couple templates out there that
- 8:00are really just the only thing that's out
- 8:03there.
- 8:03Unless you're going like fad,
- 8:05super crazy stuff.
- 8:08The real business of nutrition coaching is
- 8:11a relationship between you and your coach.
- 8:14that person that you can talk to in
- 8:16the time you need somebody,
- 8:18the person you can talk to when you
- 8:19need advice.
- 8:21After the last few days,
- 8:22do you trust this dude to be that
- 8:24guy to have that conversation with?
- 8:26Threatening to post before and after
- 8:29pictures of your wife?
- 8:31If you go public about any more of
- 8:33this stuff, like,
- 8:36That's not who I want to trust with
- 8:38my,
- 8:39I have a hard enough time getting on
- 8:40the scale and let my own self see
- 8:42it,
- 8:42let alone like sharing that with a person
- 8:44that I can't trust.
- 8:46Who is now publicly stating these things.
- 8:51Right.
- 8:52Right.
- 8:53For everybody to see.
- 8:54Internet's forever.
- 8:56Yeah.
- 8:58It's mind boggling, dude.
- 9:00It's mind boggling.
- 9:01It's like, you know what?
- 9:02We were doing pretty good.
- 9:04We got some high-level athletes in here
- 9:06and whatnot.
- 9:06What can we do to completely tank that
- 9:08as much as we possibly can?
- 9:11Yeah, like, exactly.
- 9:15They were actually getting some traction,
- 9:17right?
- 9:19Like, you know,
- 9:20you have the Trista Smiths,
- 9:21the Hattie Canyos, the Danielle Brandons,
- 9:24the Haley Adams, all of that stuff.
- 9:28And then you just totally tank it by
- 9:31getting into an internet bully session.
- 9:35Both Smiths.
- 9:39And Jesse.
- 9:41I don't know if they're still with him
- 9:43because I didn't see their names posted,
- 9:45but maybe I know they were with him
- 9:48for a long time.
- 9:53But here's the thing.
- 9:55Like, okay,
- 9:56you want to fight with Taylor Self?
- 9:57That makes... That's fine.
- 10:00Go fight with Taylor Self.
- 10:02But two hundred fifty people commented on
- 10:04Taylor Self's reel.
- 10:06And then you dive into those comments and
- 10:08not...
- 10:09You're not like explaining what went
- 10:11wrong.
- 10:12You're not trying to like...
- 10:14give an explanation as to what's happening
- 10:17no you're gonna intimidate and bully
- 10:20people in the comments and then expect
- 10:23that to go well that's a joke it's
- 10:31worse than a joke uh how he says
- 10:35i almost feel bad for how much of
- 10:37an idiot he seems like he must be
- 10:39young
- 10:40I think he was really successful as a
- 10:42small company.
- 10:44And this happens a lot in business, right?
- 10:47As a small company, you do awesome.
- 10:49And then you decide, well,
- 10:50I need to grow bigger.
- 10:53And then you're chasing the rabbit.
- 10:55And not everybody is cut out to chase
- 10:57the rabbit.
- 10:59And I think what he got in,
- 11:05he got in the deep end of the
- 11:06pool and he can't hang.
- 11:10The very deep end of the pool.
- 11:14Uh, Vicki,
- 11:15he has a group of coaches that work
- 11:16with clients, maybe not elites, but still,
- 11:18is it possible that some people had issues
- 11:20with some of the coaches and not him
- 11:22directly?
- 11:23I actually heard the exact opposite Vicki.
- 11:26I've actually heard that his coaches are
- 11:29actually pretty awesome.
- 11:32Um,
- 11:32it's the people that have to deal with
- 11:34him directly that have had the issue.
- 11:38which is sad because you're employing
- 11:41these coaches who are so like,
- 11:46so how do you,
- 11:47can you does not work with him, right?
- 11:50How do you works with a girl named
- 11:52Amanda?
- 11:54And I got to meet her at the
- 11:56games last year.
- 11:57She is amazing.
- 11:59She is nothing like, right.
- 12:02She, she don't wear crunk teeth.
- 12:04She doesn't wear big, thick chains.
- 12:06She was a very supportive person for
- 12:08Hattie during the games.
- 12:10And, um, and she was awesome.
- 12:14What's sad is he goes out and does
- 12:17all this stuff and he's blowing up his
- 12:19business that support all of these
- 12:21coaches.
- 12:24So now they're either going to have to,
- 12:26if it blows up,
- 12:27they're going to have to find their own
- 12:29business to run or find another company to
- 12:32link up with to continue what they're
- 12:34doing.
- 12:37And now people like Hattie have to look
- 12:39at that and go,
- 12:40do I really want to be associated?
- 12:42Even though my actual coach is amazing,
- 12:45is a rock star,
- 12:47do I really want to be associated with
- 12:49this dude who is the face of the
- 12:51company at this point?
- 12:54Well, and I don't know this for sure.
- 12:58Like her and Amanda are tight.
- 13:00So it wouldn't surprise me that she was
- 13:03with Amanda before Amanda got with CBG.
- 13:06Right.
- 13:07Right.
- 13:07But now you have this guy out there
- 13:09putting your name out there,
- 13:11DM this woman and ask her if she
- 13:13does my program.
- 13:16Which is, I already said it once,
- 13:19but good Lord, that's crazy.
- 13:24Hunting cardio bunnies.
- 13:25Yeah, to me,
- 13:26hiring a personal coach is almost like
- 13:28hiring a friend or accountability buddy,
- 13:30if not just by the RP templates.
- 13:33I wouldn't even call it a friend.
- 13:34I would call it more an accountability
- 13:36person.
- 13:40I feel that to have a coach,
- 13:43it's hard to have a personal relationship
- 13:46as a friend and be the coach.
- 13:49You want someone that has a vested
- 13:51interest in you,
- 13:52but you're not hanging out together.
- 13:56because they can look at things more
- 13:57objectively.
- 14:00Right.
- 14:03But that's me.
- 14:04It doesn't work that way.
- 14:07No, I would say my,
- 14:08my nutrition coach is,
- 14:10is definitely one of my best happens to
- 14:12be one of my best friends,
- 14:13but she doesn't cut me any slack.
- 14:17Right.
- 14:18If you have that, that's awesome.
- 14:20yeah she's she's amazing she's trained
- 14:22partner her and i fixing to do a
- 14:24competition together um the beginning of
- 14:26the month next month uh and but she
- 14:30doesn't cut me any slack like hey bro
- 14:32i'm fixing to cut you fixing to cut
- 14:34you you know matter of fact she cut
- 14:35my fat this week oh because i'm leaning
- 14:39out but yeah tristan the comment section
- 14:45was interesting says tristan he is not
- 14:49wrong
- 14:51He is not wrong, not at all.
- 14:54Vicki, this is an excellent point.
- 14:58RP, et cetera, doesn't work for everyone.
- 14:59I'm a nutrition and mindset coach,
- 15:01and it's about way more than the food.
- 15:03Mindset, psychology, mental issues.
- 15:10All of that is more than about what
- 15:12the wound is, whatever that is,
- 15:15whether the wound be I'm addicted to food
- 15:17or whether the wound be like I'm depressed
- 15:19or whether usually there's a cause of the
- 15:22wound.
- 15:24And it's finding that cause that solves
- 15:27the problem.
- 15:29Not addressing the wound.
- 15:30Right.
- 15:37I am a big cause person.
- 15:39I don't want a bandaid.
- 15:43I want to know,
- 15:45I want to fix it, right?
- 15:47I am a fixer.
- 15:49I want to know what's wrong so I
- 15:51can fix it.
- 15:52I don't want to just patch it up.
- 15:54I don't want to cover up symptoms.
- 15:55I want to fix it.
- 16:00And it doesn't work for everybody.
- 16:05A lot of people just want problems to
- 16:08go on.
- 16:08No, I don't want to do that.
- 16:09I want to fix things.
- 16:12Big, big, big difference.
- 16:14Big difference.
- 16:15I want to know why.
- 16:16I want to change habits so that I
- 16:17can fix it.
- 16:19I think that's kind of the CrossFitters
- 16:22mentality, right?
- 16:24And Vicky brings it up here.
- 16:26I approach it from a functional medicine
- 16:28perspective, too,
- 16:29so I can incorporate that into meal
- 16:31planning, et cetera.
- 16:32Exactly.
- 16:33You're looking for the thing that solves
- 16:35the problem, right?
- 16:36Getting fit, eating right.
- 16:38That's what gets things better.
- 16:40But you've got to figure out what's
- 16:42causing the binge eating or the cravings
- 16:45or whatever it is.
- 16:48And in this pharmaceutical world we live
- 16:50in today,
- 16:52so many people just want the pill or
- 16:54the Band-Aid to go over the wound, right?
- 16:57Give me two pills.
- 16:58Give me six pills.
- 16:59Give me eight pills, right?
- 17:01Instead of figuring out what is it that's
- 17:03causing this,
- 17:03and maybe I can eliminate that from my
- 17:05life and then move forward.
- 17:08Oh, are these six pills causing...
- 17:12whatever side effects here are these two
- 17:14pills to take care of the side effects
- 17:16oh yeah like it's pills on pills on
- 17:18pills on pills dude so uh we started
- 17:24we being me and my wife started a
- 17:25uh documentary night before last or so uh
- 17:32somebody somebody's family killed somebody
- 17:34else's husband something along those lines
- 17:36whatever not the point it's on Hulu we
- 17:38have Hulu with ads right ad last night
- 17:42was the wildest most specific you know
- 17:47because they show it's all it's not all
- 17:49but it's vast majority like take this pill
- 17:52at it's actually a doctor is this pill
- 17:53right for you at it was a
- 17:59I forget the name of the website.
- 18:00It'll come to me in a little bit.
- 18:01But it was a pill for if your
- 18:03penis had a bend in it.
- 18:06Yeah.
- 18:07And they hold up the carrot.
- 18:09Yes.
- 18:10Broken carrot.
- 18:11Yeah.
- 18:12Oh, my God, dude.
- 18:14That was the first time I'd seen that
- 18:16one or we had seen that one last
- 18:17night.
- 18:17And I looked over because Jennifer was
- 18:19sitting on the other side of the couch
- 18:20for me.
- 18:20And she's just sitting there literally
- 18:22with her jaw open like,
- 18:24is this really on TV right now?
- 18:28Jason Board once signed up.
- 18:32I truly just thought it was Naoman I
- 18:34had to live with my whole life.
- 18:36Didn't even know there was a Band-Aid for
- 18:38it, man.
- 18:41Here's the thing, dude.
- 18:43We thought,
- 18:44honestly thought it was a skit at first.
- 18:49You know what I'm saying?
- 18:50It was going to turn out to be...
- 18:51Yeah.
- 18:52Something along those lines.
- 18:55And like,
- 18:56They never cut away.
- 18:58Nope, nope.
- 18:59This is what this is for.
- 19:01Right then and there.
- 19:03Holy smokes, dude.
- 19:08Jody says, meanwhile,
- 19:09hers ads are popping up nonstop in the
- 19:11chat.
- 19:13That's why I pay for the premium YouTube.
- 19:16I just can't.
- 19:19Her's ads.
- 19:21I watch YouTube more than any other
- 19:23streaming service under the sun.
- 19:25And I,
- 19:26I got rid of ads cause I just
- 19:27can't.
- 19:29The, uh, hers hymns in a row.
- 19:36Yeah, bro.
- 19:37Then row people, they, they,
- 19:38and everything.
- 19:40Yeah.
- 19:41Goodness.
- 19:41I don't watch a lot of TV, Scott.
- 19:43And I know that they are everywhere.
- 19:47Um,
- 19:50Corey, the majority of them are wild.
- 19:52I've actually watched TV where the one
- 19:54commercial is, hey,
- 19:57this is for erectile dysfunction,
- 19:59but it may cause hair loss.
- 20:01And the very next ad is, hey,
- 20:02you got your solution for hair loss.
- 20:07And they run back and back.
- 20:09Yeah, that's what I was just saying, dude.
- 20:12Oh, do you have problems from this?
- 20:15You should take this.
- 20:17pharmaceutical industry man it feeds upon
- 20:20itself and it's i think there's so much
- 20:24strategy involved with that that will
- 20:27release this and then we'll have the
- 20:28solution to the side effect with this and
- 20:32so on and so on yeah frida i'm
- 20:35glad i live in a country where drugs
- 20:37can't be advertised it just blows my mind
- 20:40like growing up that was not i i
- 20:42don't know why they legalized it
- 20:45Because enough lobbyists got involved,
- 20:48they got paid,
- 20:49and they decided to go ahead and change
- 20:50the rules.
- 20:52My two favorite things about those
- 20:53commercials are ask your doctor if this
- 20:56pill is right for you.
- 20:59And the second best thing,
- 21:01my second favorite thing is the side
- 21:04effects.
- 21:07May cause, and they just start talking.
- 21:09Yeah.
- 21:11Everything from bleeding from your eyes to
- 21:14sudden and horrific death.
- 21:18Don't take this if you're allergic to what
- 21:21it's made out of.
- 21:22How am I supposed to know if I'm
- 21:23allergic to what it's made out of unless
- 21:25I take it?
- 21:28Right.
- 21:30There's one ad that said, here's pill A.
- 21:36Don't take if you're allergic to pill A.
- 21:38Well,
- 21:39how the hell am I supposed to know
- 21:40if I'm allergic to LA?
- 21:40Like they're not even using an ingredient.
- 21:43They just say the product name.
- 21:48Right.
- 21:48Um, Shanna, who is, you know,
- 21:50our CFM BL one, uh, hate the industry,
- 21:54uh,
- 21:56um it's mind-boggling to me that like you
- 21:59these doctors go to school for like seven
- 22:01years or whatever it is to get their
- 22:03degree and now you the consumer who has
- 22:06no education based on a thirty second ad
- 22:09you're supposed to go to your doctor and
- 22:11say hey i want this oh
- 22:20That's got me thinking about the stuff
- 22:21that we used to,
- 22:22when they first started coming out with
- 22:24all the, you know,
- 22:25the various ads or whatnot that we no
- 22:27longer see.
- 22:28Has restless leg syndrome been cured?
- 22:31Do you remember restless leg syndrome?
- 22:33I do.
- 22:34Yeah.
- 22:36Has it been cured?
- 22:37Because I haven't seen a commercial for it
- 22:38in probably five years.
- 22:41Yeah.
- 22:43Shana, I love you, Scott.
- 22:44You understand.
- 22:45Yes.
- 22:47Yes.
- 22:47Yes.
- 22:48Thank you.
- 22:49Love you back.
- 22:50I think we had something here.
- 22:54Hold on.
- 22:55The nutritionist also advertising GLPs
- 22:57makes me sick.
- 22:58Not saying some people may not need them
- 23:01to a degree, but WTF.
- 23:04Absolutely.
- 23:13The easiest way to know everything you
- 23:14need to know about pharma is no one
- 23:16in the industry takes anything they sell.
- 23:21The, I forget what they were called,
- 23:24but they were like three different ones
- 23:26that were about the painkillers, you know,
- 23:31the opioid crisis and whatnot,
- 23:32when they were overprescribing Oxycontin
- 23:35and whatnot.
- 23:36There's like three different that are all
- 23:39basically about the same set of people.
- 23:42You watch those guys,
- 23:43like the salesmen that are going to these
- 23:44doctor's offices and, you know,
- 23:46prescribe this, blah, blah,
- 23:47so they could get money.
- 23:49None of those people want Oxycontin.
- 23:52Not a single one.
- 23:55Well, here in Ohio,
- 23:57the opioid epidemic is so big.
- 23:59I mean, at work,
- 24:00we have grants to try to get people
- 24:03out into recovery, so on and so forth.
- 24:07And if you actually need a painkiller,
- 24:09like the amount of paperwork you have to
- 24:11sign off on now at the doctor to
- 24:13get a legit painkiller.
- 24:16And then, like,
- 24:17I think when I had my back surgery,
- 24:19they made me go to a class and
- 24:22learn about opioids.
- 24:24And what their effects could be.
- 24:27But I'm that guy that like,
- 24:28as soon as I can get off the
- 24:30med, I want off the med.
- 24:32Right.
- 24:32You give me, you give me oxy.
- 24:34I I'm taking it until I can tolerate
- 24:36the pain and then it's gone.
- 24:38My wife had shoulder surgery.
- 24:42When was that?
- 24:44Three years ago.
- 24:45Something along those lines.
- 24:47And.
- 24:49you know,
- 24:50twelve hours in between or whatever the
- 24:52case in between.
- 24:53And she did every single thing she
- 24:55possibly could to not take any of her
- 24:57pain medicine for that reason.
- 24:59She didn't want it.
- 25:00She didn't want anything to do with it.
- 25:01She didn't like how it made her feel.
- 25:04And she didn't want to even take a
- 25:06chance that she was going to enjoy it
- 25:08and therefore end up being hooked to it.
- 25:11So like she was a soldier, dude.
- 25:13It was
- 25:15Horrible to watch because she was in so
- 25:16much pain,
- 25:17but it was incredible to watch because she
- 25:20just soldiered through like the vast
- 25:21majority of it.
- 25:23Mark Phillips responding to your restless
- 25:25leg syndrome.
- 25:26Remember, I get kicked every night.
- 25:28Amen, brother.
- 25:31Amen.
- 25:32I don't know if my eight-year-old has it,
- 25:34but if you – on the off chance
- 25:37when she –
- 25:39wakes up in the middle of the night
- 25:40and has come and crawl in bed with
- 25:41us dude she sleeps sideways and kicks us
- 25:43pretty much the entire night it's insane
- 25:48um
- 25:51I was going to bring up the DB
- 25:53thing.
- 25:54Dents did a great job kind of summarizing
- 25:56it.
- 25:57If you didn't see the Hiller video on
- 25:58Brittany Weiss,
- 26:00he asks her why Daniel Brandon hates her
- 26:03as in it in like the Hiller kind
- 26:05of like jabbing, joking fashion.
- 26:08And then brings up the fact that when
- 26:10Brittany won crashed,
- 26:13Danielle screenshotted her bio on
- 26:17Instagram where she said she was a games
- 26:19athlete and dogged her for saying that
- 26:22being a team games athlete or team games
- 26:26champion.
- 26:30And Hiller has another segment on it in
- 26:32his latest video.
- 26:33I think it just came out right before
- 26:35we went on the air,
- 26:35so I haven't got a chance.
- 26:37Earlier today,
- 26:37I didn't get a chance to watch it.
- 26:38I didn't get a chance to check out
- 26:40Jenny's video yet either because I had to
- 26:42Google it.
- 26:43Yeah,
- 26:44I didn't get to notice on Jenny's until
- 26:46later this morning because they've started
- 26:48that new channel.
- 26:49And I did subscribe last night,
- 26:51but it didn't notify me until a couple
- 26:53hours after it went live.
- 26:56Usually,
- 26:57I wake up to pee and that's when
- 26:59I see it.
- 27:03I don't...
- 27:06I don't want to go into the DB
- 27:07thing again.
- 27:08Cause like,
- 27:08it's just the same old stuff over and
- 27:10over again.
- 27:11Now there's people coming out of the
- 27:12woodwork saying she's a homewrecker and
- 27:15doing the long reel on Instagram and all
- 27:18this.
- 27:18I don't need,
- 27:19I don't need to go into all that
- 27:20stuff, but so Jenny summer really well.
- 27:25Fun fact.
- 27:25I started watching that.
- 27:27There was long reel on Instagram about the
- 27:29girl.
- 27:29And then I got,
- 27:32Thirty five seconds into it.
- 27:33And I said, you know what?
- 27:34I really don't care.
- 27:36Yeah.
- 27:37And I just with you, I was like,
- 27:38I looked at the line on the bottom
- 27:40and it was only like a tick over
- 27:41with a whole bunch to go.
- 27:42And I'm like,
- 27:43there can't be this much to the story.
- 27:45There's no possible way.
- 27:48There's no possible way.
- 27:49So I just moved on with my life.
- 27:53Oh, well, there you go.
- 27:56There, Chattanooga did it for us.
- 27:58The Homewrecker Post lady didn't say
- 27:59anything anyhow.
- 28:01So the other thing that came up in
- 28:03the whole like this is bizarro reality
- 28:06show CrossFit thing is the Josie Hamming
- 28:09thing having an OnlyFans account.
- 28:13So I wanted to do a deep dive
- 28:14investigation to find out about this
- 28:18OnlyFans account.
- 28:20And I did it without going on OnlyFans,
- 28:21just so you know.
- 28:23Good job.
- 28:24I went to Reddit to kind of see
- 28:27what the uproar was about.
- 28:29And I don't go to Reddit unless I
- 28:31absolutely have to.
- 28:33But all of the complaining on Reddit was
- 28:37that she doesn't show anything anyway.
- 28:39It's her Instagram account on OnlyFans.
- 28:41Yeah.
- 28:42And so everybody's making this big deal
- 28:44about it.
- 28:45And it's really just people paying for her
- 28:48Instagram account that they can get for
- 28:50free.
- 28:53And God bless her for that.
- 28:55Yeah.
- 28:55If she can get paid for it and
- 28:57not even have to do a new picture,
- 28:59just copy it over from Instagram.
- 29:02I'm going to take the stuff that men
- 29:03are willing to pay for that or women
- 29:05are willing to pay for that.
- 29:07More power to you.
- 29:09And they are.
- 29:12clearly they are because I can't find
- 29:15where she does anything else.
- 29:17She works out and takes pictures of
- 29:18herself or people take pictures of her
- 29:20regionals athlete for a minute,
- 29:22like a team athlete for a minute.
- 29:25But, and I think,
- 29:27I think her brother is actually one of
- 29:30the eighth day CrossFit gym members on the
- 29:34team.
- 29:37And Jamie knows the family because she's
- 29:40from that Michigan area.
- 29:44um so jonathan says it's not new
- 29:48apparently he's been a member for about a
- 29:49year and a half no i'm just kidding
- 29:53um she has a personal training program and
- 29:55app good for her that she's got multiple
- 29:57income streams there you go personal
- 30:00training program app only fans that you
- 30:03can don't actually have to pay for if
- 30:05you follow her on instagram
- 30:07Yeah,
- 30:08it's so funny because when you get into
- 30:10that cesspool of Reddit,
- 30:12like everybody's complaining.
- 30:14They're all complaining that,
- 30:15it's nothing I can't see on Instagram.
- 30:18Well,
- 30:18you had to pay for it to get
- 30:19there.
- 30:20So what?
- 30:22You got suckered in.
- 30:23Yeah.
- 30:25What did you think was going to happen
- 30:26exactly?
- 30:30I just, I found it humorous.
- 30:32Well,
- 30:33here's the thing is that you got suckered
- 30:35into paying for it just to find out
- 30:36that it was a,
- 30:37it was what you already saw.
- 30:40And now you complaining because it was
- 30:41what you already saw.
- 30:42Well,
- 30:43if you were stupid enough to go and
- 30:44try to pay for only fans to begin
- 30:45with, then that's on you.
- 30:50Um, Vicky, I agree.
- 30:51Nobody should judge if that's how someone
- 30:53makes their money.
- 30:54It isn't hurting anyone else.
- 30:55I, I completely agree with you.
- 30:58Um,
- 31:02Me and the homies take bets on which
- 31:03CrossFit athlete will be the next on
- 31:05OnlyFans.
- 31:06Yeah, I know.
- 31:08I actually found Christmas Abbott has an
- 31:09OnlyFans account too.
- 31:11That's unsurprising.
- 31:12Yeah.
- 31:14When I was diving through Reddit,
- 31:15I saw that as well.
- 31:17That's unsurprising.
- 31:18I think I actually already knew that
- 31:19because I think Saban might have mentioned
- 31:21it once or twice before,
- 31:23which it doesn't surprise me that he knows
- 31:25that Christmas Abbott has an OnlyFans
- 31:28account.
- 31:28Yeah.
- 31:30so if jonathan and his friends are taking
- 31:33bets on who's next i wanted to get
- 31:35in on that text thread because i have
- 31:38my i have my own opinions about who's
- 31:39going to be uh on there sooner rather
- 31:41than later yeah i don't want to talk
- 31:49i don't care i don't either um so
- 31:56anyway
- 31:58Some other news.
- 31:59I watched the Froning podcast yesterday.
- 32:02I love Rich Froning.
- 32:04I love Rory.
- 32:06They've always been good to me in person.
- 32:10Rich is my favorite CrossFit athlete of
- 32:11all time.
- 32:12That was hard to get through yesterday.
- 32:15Really?
- 32:16Really hard.
- 32:17And I watched the Rory Froning podcast.
- 32:21But one thing was said that for the
- 32:25Mayhem Classic,
- 32:27they were looking into using the Rogue
- 32:29leaderboard to make their picks as to who
- 32:32would be invited to the Mayhem Classic to
- 32:34qualify for the games.
- 32:36And I guess there was a big uproar
- 32:38about that.
- 32:40And they actually said on the show,
- 32:41and Barbellspin has reported it since,
- 32:45that...
- 32:47People are upset because WFP is included
- 32:50in the rankings and that Rory actually
- 32:55talked to Katie and they're thinking about
- 33:00removing WFP from the Rogue rankings
- 33:05because a couple of the top athletes have
- 33:07dropped out.
- 33:10I mean, that would make sense.
- 33:12You would either have to do that or
- 33:13you'd have to shave it down to only
- 33:17the people that did both,
- 33:18if it's going to be fair,
- 33:19if the others should be going off of.
- 33:21Well,
- 33:21I think it's more an indication of where
- 33:23WFP is heading and the way it's being
- 33:25viewed now by the elite athletes.
- 33:29And I just found it interesting.
- 33:33It wasn't like to be a big,
- 33:35long discussion topic, but...
- 33:38Um, he says,
- 33:39I still haven't gotten the whole way
- 33:40through the video yet.
- 33:41Uh, the mayhem one, not the,
- 33:43the only fans.
- 33:44Thank you for clarifying there.
- 33:45Thank you.
- 33:46Uh,
- 33:49Larry says they always take a while to
- 33:50get to the point on their content.
- 33:52I, I don't even mind storytelling time.
- 33:56Like I really enjoy hearing about the old
- 33:58days and stuff like that.
- 34:00Um, I just, I don't know.
- 34:06I did yesterday was tough.
- 34:08It was really, really tough.
- 34:09So I don't know.
- 34:13Tristan says, personally,
- 34:16I don't love that they include Wadapalooza
- 34:18in their ranking.
- 34:23I'm kind of waiting on that one.
- 34:26It's not enough events.
- 34:28I know,
- 34:29but if you only do the game season,
- 34:30then you're just replicating what's out
- 34:32there, right?
- 34:33And if someone gets hurt and they can't
- 34:35do the game season,
- 34:36there's no other way to make up any
- 34:37points.
- 34:39I get trying to include some other things
- 34:41in the mix.
- 34:45And their own event only invites twenty
- 34:46people,
- 34:47so you're not getting a huge data set
- 34:49from that either.
- 34:51Right.
- 34:51So I think they've got it.
- 34:56I think they have to use some of
- 34:57the other stuff.
- 34:58I actually, honestly,
- 34:59I think the point system is stupid.
- 35:02I like the way they were doing it
- 35:03before.
- 35:06Just invite the people you want to invite.
- 35:08You're an invitational.
- 35:10I was about to say,
- 35:11it literally says mayhem invitational or
- 35:14qualifier, excuse me, rogue invitational.
- 35:16Invite whoever you want to invite.
- 35:18Yeah,
- 35:18just stop with the points and stop with
- 35:22all the speculation and why did you skip
- 35:25this point person who had more points than
- 35:28that point person.
- 35:29Just invite who you want.
- 35:32Call it a day.
- 35:34You know,
- 35:36it's definitely be the easiest thing to
- 35:37do.
- 35:37Just, Hey,
- 35:37we're going to invite these people.
- 35:39And if you don't like it tough,
- 35:41we have a bazillion dollars and you don't.
- 35:43And that's who we're inviting.
- 35:46Yeah,
- 35:47because you know they want to invite their
- 35:48own athletes, right?
- 35:50They pay them to be on there.
- 35:51They're going to invite their athletes,
- 35:53and they have every prerogative to do so.
- 35:55They say what they are.
- 35:57Now, if they were trying to say, hey,
- 35:58we're trying to find the fittest,
- 36:01and then did that stuff,
- 36:02that makes no sense.
- 36:04But you're just doing an invitational.
- 36:05It's a showcase.
- 36:07Do whatever the hell you want.
- 36:12And they should,
- 36:13they've been doing whatever the hell they
- 36:15wanted since they've been a company.
- 36:18Yeah.
- 36:19So like, why, why are you,
- 36:20why are you giving out points?
- 36:21And, and it just,
- 36:24it's literally called a rogue invitational
- 36:25for a good solid reason.
- 36:28Invite who the hell you wanna invite and,
- 36:30and go on about your business because now
- 36:32you you're, you're,
- 36:33I don't wanna say setting a,
- 36:34setting a standard,
- 36:35cuz that's not necessarily correct, but.
- 36:39You have this point system and you have
- 36:41this rogue system or whatnot.
- 36:42And now other people are looking at it
- 36:43and going, well,
- 36:44maybe we should base our invites off of
- 36:46that because it's there.
- 36:49And because rogue is so highly vetted and
- 36:52highly respected and whatnot, it's there.
- 36:55So other people look at it and go,
- 36:56well,
- 36:56why don't we just go off of that?
- 36:58Because that's already established.
- 37:00It's already a thing.
- 37:02Well,
- 37:02I think it gets hairy now that Rich
- 37:04is like, hey,
- 37:05I've been a Rogue athlete for fifteen
- 37:07years.
- 37:07I want to support Rogue,
- 37:09so let's use their leaderboard.
- 37:12Now it's being spread out amongst the
- 37:15community,
- 37:15and maybe that's not what it was intended
- 37:17for to begin with.
- 37:21Right.
- 37:22Also, you want to support Rogue,
- 37:23you have been.
- 37:25Like,
- 37:26you only use rogue equipment at Mayhem,
- 37:29I am certain.
- 37:30I'm sure the Mayhem Classic has a rogue
- 37:34rig.
- 37:35I saw Vicky say maybe they should use
- 37:37Apollo.
- 37:37I bet you Rich and Rory don't even
- 37:39know who Apollo is.
- 37:40Probably not.
- 37:43If I had to guess,
- 37:44they have no idea who Barclay Dale is,
- 37:46much less Apollo Rankins.
- 37:48And this is not a bad thing.
- 37:51They have their own bubble.
- 37:53They do everything themselves.
- 37:55So they don't really know everything going
- 37:57on outside of that bubble.
- 37:59They have their own media team.
- 38:02They have their own team.
- 38:04They just don't need to...
- 38:08I would love to see somebody on their
- 38:11show bring up Apollo rankings just to see
- 38:14the confused look on Rich and Rory's faces
- 38:16because they'd be like, who?
- 38:18If anybody knows Angelo,
- 38:22Angelo seems to have his finger more on
- 38:25outside the bubble than the others do.
- 38:27And I see it like Jonathan saying Rory
- 38:30probably knows vaguely.
- 38:32I don't know that he does anymore.
- 38:35I mean,
- 38:35if you asked me that five years ago,
- 38:36I'd say he'd know.
- 38:37Right.
- 38:39But I think Angelo definitely has probably
- 38:41his pulse,
- 38:42finger on the pulse more than the others
- 38:44on what's going on in the space.
- 38:46Because he watches the shows.
- 38:48He comments on the shows.
- 38:50So he knows what's going on.
- 38:51Hell, he's on some of the shows.
- 38:54Right.
- 38:55It wouldn't surprise me if we go back
- 38:57and look.
- 38:57You probably take a little bit of digging
- 38:58to see a show that Barclay was on
- 39:00that Angelo was also on.
- 39:03That wouldn't surprise me at all.
- 39:04Yeah.
- 39:08So another piece of news, Gabby Magala,
- 39:11Magawa,
- 39:12it was announced that she is now at
- 39:14TTT.
- 39:15She's been there for seven or eight
- 39:17months.
- 39:18Seven or eight months.
- 39:20Adam Rogers.
- 39:23And she announced today,
- 39:25or someone announced today,
- 39:26I think I saw it on the spin,
- 39:28that she is doing Wadapalooza.
- 39:30Yeah, it was on the spin.
- 39:34Yeah.
- 39:35Good, man.
- 39:37So my question to you is great for
- 39:39Gabby.
- 39:40That's, that's not the story here for me.
- 39:42My story is remember every off season and
- 39:46we don't have much of one anymore with
- 39:47the WFP going all the way to December.
- 39:50I remember in the off season,
- 39:51there was always this camp movement.
- 39:54Yeah.
- 39:54Like people going from TTT to HWPO going
- 39:58to proven going to mayhem all this.
- 40:01We haven't heard any of that.
- 40:03Like when I saw this with Gabby going
- 40:05to TTT,
- 40:07that's like the first movement I've heard
- 40:09all off season.
- 40:12Do you think,
- 40:14do you think that days of movement are
- 40:16over?
- 40:17I don't know if the days of movement
- 40:19are over,
- 40:20but I think until something else comes
- 40:22along or some other athletes come along,
- 40:24that's going to shake shit up.
- 40:27I think everybody's kind of satisfied
- 40:28right now.
- 40:29Right.
- 40:30Right.
- 40:31Like the Brute guys aren't going anywhere.
- 40:35No,
- 40:36I don't think the Proven people are going
- 40:37anywhere.
- 40:38Proven people seem to be pretty happy
- 40:41where they are.
- 40:42The Mayhem people are the Mayhem people.
- 40:44Until you hear of a new name that
- 40:46comes up and, you know,
- 40:47I don't want to say burst on the
- 40:49scene,
- 40:50but like Austin Hadfield is a good
- 40:51example.
- 40:52Nobody knew who Austin Hadfield was and
- 40:54all of a sudden he's a Mayhem athlete.
- 40:57I say that John, you're not the first.
- 40:58It's been a pretty quiet though.
- 40:59Yeah.
- 40:59I,
- 41:00first I try to block that out because
- 41:02I want to bring it up.
- 41:06And so I, I just,
- 41:08the only time I even think about that
- 41:09is when I'm trying to finish up this
- 41:10damn documentary.
- 41:12And I just, I have,
- 41:15I'm having a hard time with that.
- 41:18I didn't want to bring it up, Tristan.
- 41:19I knew you in the chat.
- 41:20I didn't want to mention it.
- 41:22It makes me sad.
- 41:22So I don't bring it up.
- 41:26We still love you.
- 41:29I'm just giving you guys a hard time.
- 41:31Yeah.
- 41:32And for people who don't know,
- 41:34just because maybe we're under rock,
- 41:37Hattie Cano left Tristan and is now with
- 41:41Brute.
- 41:42That happened right after the season.
- 41:45And it makes me sad.
- 41:48Let's stop saying Hattie left Tristan and
- 41:50let's say Hattie left Ascend and Tristan
- 41:52is no longer her coach because we've
- 41:54already had this discussion in like
- 41:57Hattie and Tristan were definitely not
- 41:59dating.
- 42:00So let's keep that.
- 42:01Yeah.
- 42:04Yeah.
- 42:08No, you're right about that.
- 42:09He doesn't pay his bills.
- 42:11That is a fact.
- 42:13That is a fact.
- 42:16I am going to go when I get
- 42:17an opportunity to go.
- 42:21When I head that way for a little
- 42:23mini vacation,
- 42:24I'm going to go train with him when
- 42:26I get out there.
- 42:29Larry says it made me wonder if it's
- 42:30because Laura's coming back to train with
- 42:32Ben.
- 42:32I don't think that's happening.
- 42:36I think something happened at the twenty
- 42:37four games that severed the Gabby Ben
- 42:46group from Laura Kristoff in that group.
- 42:51And I think Laura is now permanently over
- 42:54in Hungary doing her thing at her gym.
- 43:00There was definitely some sort of catalyst
- 43:02because they were entirely too tight
- 43:03before for them not to be anything now,
- 43:06which is what seems to be the case.
- 43:09Yeah.
- 43:10I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll,
- 43:14I'll, I'll,
- 43:18Uh, Brittany Weiss back at Invictus.
- 43:21I don't consider that movement.
- 43:23That's where she kind of became famous.
- 43:26Hattie moved to Brute and then Nick
- 43:27Matthews Kringle to Brute.
- 43:30Um,
- 43:30Nick Matthews and Kringle's coach moved to
- 43:32Brute and they just went along with him.
- 43:35Uh, that's like saying that, uh,
- 43:41Oh, good Lord.
- 43:42Why can I never remember her name?
- 43:44That is mind boggling to me.
- 43:45But moved to HWPO.
- 43:47Yeah, well, of course she did.
- 43:49Because Justin did.
- 43:50Yeah, of course she did.
- 43:54Speaking of Justin,
- 43:55this isn't even on my list of stuff,
- 43:56but prayers out to him.
- 43:58He's been in the hospital for some time
- 44:00now.
- 44:01I was texting with his wife the other
- 44:02day.
- 44:03It's been a rough week.
- 44:05Apparently, he has colitis.
- 44:08He had a flare-up first time in thirteen
- 44:09years.
- 44:11He made a post on Instagram.
- 44:12That's why I'm sharing it.
- 44:14If you wouldn't have made it public,
- 44:15I wouldn't have
- 44:16I wouldn't like, um,
- 44:19I've been texting him.
- 44:19I've been texting his wife.
- 44:21It's, it's just tough.
- 44:23Like when you have two small kids to
- 44:25be spending that much time in the
- 44:26hospital, um,
- 44:28and it's been a stress on the whole
- 44:29family.
- 44:31Um, he's doing okay.
- 44:31Just trying to feel better.
- 44:33Um,
- 44:33so hopefully they get some answers soon
- 44:35and he gets home.
- 44:36Um, so, uh, with that.
- 44:40So anyway,
- 44:43the whole premise of that thing was not
- 44:44to like say that,
- 44:47I think camp movement has slowed
- 44:49tremendously.
- 44:50I mean, in the last couple off seasons,
- 44:53it's been like half the field has switched
- 44:56camps.
- 44:57And now all of a sudden,
- 44:57we're just getting a trickle.
- 45:00And it used to be worse.
- 45:01Yeah.
- 45:02Yeah.
- 45:03When people first started noticing that
- 45:07there were, in fact, camps,
- 45:08when it wasn't just one person was with
- 45:10this or one person was with that,
- 45:12but there were entire teams of people that
- 45:13were training together,
- 45:15that seemed to switch up, like you said,
- 45:17every year and dramatically.
- 45:19Oh, no, no,
- 45:20these people are not with these people
- 45:21anymore.
- 45:21Now they're with that people.
- 45:23Oh, no, no, no.
- 45:23Now this one's not with that one anymore.
- 45:25Now they're over there.
- 45:27Yeah.
- 45:28it seems to be maybe on a bit
- 45:30of a downward thing,
- 45:31but I think once I got,
- 45:33I was trying to get that point across
- 45:35earlier.
- 45:35I don't think I did a very good
- 45:36job.
- 45:37Like when new people roll in,
- 45:40I think like, Oh,
- 45:42I'm I've been following this program in
- 45:43forever.
- 45:44Now I made it to semifinals or now
- 45:46I'm, you know,
- 45:46knocking on the door of a game is
- 45:48spot or whatnot.
- 45:49I'm going to make that jump and I'm
- 45:51going to go to here,
- 45:52wherever that may be to try to get
- 45:53myself to the next level or whatnot.
- 45:55Yeah.
- 45:57I think that's what it's going to take.
- 45:58And maybe they're going to need a whole
- 46:00new crop of people to be able to
- 46:01do that kind of stuff.
- 46:02But I don't see a whole huge crop
- 46:05of people coming in at this point just
- 46:07because of the established people that are
- 46:09there or pretty solidly in their
- 46:10positions.
- 46:12Yeah, there's always going to be turnover.
- 46:15It's hard to predict when you,
- 46:17there's less,
- 46:18there's less competitions to see who the
- 46:21competition is going to be for the next
- 46:23up and summer.
- 46:24So it's going to be more of a
- 46:25surprise as they enter the fold in these
- 46:28years than it was in years past.
- 46:31This is Ortega letting us know right now.
- 46:35He switched from Brute to Sentinel.
- 46:36Yeah.
- 46:38Doesn't count.
- 46:39We'll consider this your press release
- 46:41right here, Jonathan.
- 46:45I did want to,
- 46:47I do have like a little riff to
- 46:48end the show on.
- 46:52So I used to,
- 46:54I used to run programs in my job
- 46:56or run, yeah, like programs in my job.
- 46:59And I,
- 46:59and then I ran the training team and,
- 47:02um, for the state of Ohio.
- 47:04And like,
- 47:05I was in a meeting today about a
- 47:06training that was being done and I got
- 47:08PTSD from like the,
- 47:12the people that I have to work with
- 47:14who do not,
- 47:16do not understand what it's like to do
- 47:20your job well.
- 47:25Right.
- 47:25This is going to be a scream at
- 47:26the clouds riff here.
- 47:28So if there's a policy that says that,
- 47:33so we work for the state of Ohio.
- 47:35Our goal is to serve Ohio citizens.
- 47:39We have a job bank that we put
- 47:42job listings into to help Ohioans find
- 47:45work.
- 47:47If you live on the West Virginia,
- 47:49Ohio border and right across the river,
- 47:52there's a company that's hiring Ohioans.
- 47:56Wouldn't it make sense to allow that
- 47:58company to then post jobs in our system?
- 48:02Right.
- 48:02Because you're getting jobs for your
- 48:04citizens,
- 48:05even though the company doesn't reside in
- 48:07your state.
- 48:10So, and that's allowed, right?
- 48:13The people on this training want to be
- 48:16told the exact mileage across the border
- 48:19they're allowed to accept employers to be
- 48:23put into this system.
- 48:28I come from a world where flexibility is
- 48:31good.
- 48:32And if I work in that local county
- 48:34in that area,
- 48:36I know the businesses that are hiring our
- 48:39people.
- 48:41Like I know that's my job.
- 48:42That's what I do.
- 48:45And so if you're good to us,
- 48:47we'll be good to you.
- 48:49Let me have that flexibility to determine
- 48:51who those good people are.
- 48:54But no,
- 48:55they want like a thirty mile radius.
- 48:58And then if you're at thirty one, no,
- 48:59we're not.
- 49:00We can't help you.
- 49:04Because that employer at thirty five miles
- 49:06may be so damn good that people are
- 49:08willing to drive from Ohio down to that
- 49:11company for a job.
- 49:14But no,
- 49:14we can't do that because I'm sorry,
- 49:16you're at thirty five miles, not thirty.
- 49:21Never mind the fact that their tax money
- 49:23is still going to be spent in Ohio
- 49:24because that's where they live.
- 49:26Correct.
- 49:28Correct.
- 49:30And your unemployment rate for an Ohio
- 49:32citizen is going down.
- 49:34because they got a job, right?
- 49:38Why the hell,
- 49:41why the hell have we gotten to this
- 49:43place in the world where it's more
- 49:45important to cover our ass than it is
- 49:49to serve the people we're supposed to
- 49:50serve?
- 49:54It goes back to CBG boy.
- 49:59It was more important for him to cover
- 50:00his own ass, bouncing around the comments,
- 50:03doing what he's doing,
- 50:06than to serve his people.
- 50:08No, let's not serve my people.
- 50:10Let's put them out for public scrutiny so
- 50:14people can DM them and ask them if
- 50:17they're following my plan.
- 50:20So it's fear, right?
- 50:23Scared of your own shadow,
- 50:24scared to do your job.
- 50:26Right.
- 50:27But if you do your job,
- 50:27everything else works out.
- 50:30They don't see it that way because they're
- 50:32terrified because what if I do my job
- 50:34and I do it too good?
- 50:35No, I don't have a job anymore.
- 50:36Oh, no,
- 50:37I got to show that I did something.
- 50:39So I'm going to put this boundary on
- 50:42it.
- 50:42I'm not saying it's right.
- 50:44I'm just telling you that's how people
- 50:45think.
- 50:47This country has been around for two
- 50:48hundred and fifty years.
- 50:50Has there ever been a time in this
- 50:51world, in this country's existence,
- 50:54that everybody had a job and wanted one?
- 51:00So your job is not going away.
- 51:02Because there are always people who need
- 51:05help finding a job.
- 51:09Absolutely.
- 51:16Do your job too well,
- 51:17you get other people's work.
- 51:21Come on, man.
- 51:25I don't...
- 51:26I guess I just come from a different
- 51:28world where seeing this person who's been
- 51:30struggling to put food on the table and
- 51:33needs a job and finding them a job
- 51:36where they can now support their family
- 51:38gives me way more reward than the angst
- 51:43of having to do more of the same
- 51:46thing.
- 51:47Helping more people.
- 51:50God forbid I help more people.
- 51:52Being able to help more people.
- 51:59I literally had a splitting headache after
- 52:01this meeting.
- 52:03Because we were literally arguing about
- 52:06what line should we stop serving people?
- 52:11How about this?
- 52:12The line that the people are not willing
- 52:14to cross.
- 52:14Let's go with that.
- 52:17That's where it stops.
- 52:19If I'm here in Louisiana, it is...
- 52:26an hour and forty five ish minutes to
- 52:28the Mississippi border.
- 52:29OK,
- 52:31if that's where my job's at and that's
- 52:34what I'm willing to do every single day,
- 52:36then that's where I'm going.
- 52:39So why why are you putting why are
- 52:40they putting or trying to put an arbitrary
- 52:43line right there when I still live here?
- 52:46All the money I spend that you're going
- 52:48to get back in tax revenue, whatever,
- 52:49is still going to be here.
- 52:50I'm going to be able to put food
- 52:51on my table.
- 52:52So who gives a shit about how far
- 52:54out
- 52:56I have to go.
- 52:57Other than me.
- 52:58The people that are supposedly
- 53:00complaining,
- 53:00because I have not heard from the people.
- 53:02I've only heard from their bosses.
- 53:04Surprise, surprise.
- 53:06The people supposedly complaining,
- 53:08their job is to assess the job market
- 53:12in their area.
- 53:13They are housed in that area.
- 53:16And then to go recruit employers to use
- 53:18our system for job postings,
- 53:21as opposed to like indeed or some of
- 53:23those other places.
- 53:24Right.
- 53:25Yeah.
- 53:25And then we will help with the recruitment
- 53:28process.
- 53:29We will help with, Hey,
- 53:30here's a list of good candidates.
- 53:32Here's a list of whatever.
- 53:34Right.
- 53:34And take off some of the burden of
- 53:37an employer and going through a job
- 53:39search.
- 53:41by doing part of the weed out process
- 53:43or whatever.
- 53:45If your job is to assess that area,
- 53:47you better damn well know who the good
- 53:50employers are and who are the ones that
- 53:52are actually hiring our people.
- 53:56Right?
- 53:57Yeah, I would think so.
- 54:04Yes, Mark, it's a state program.
- 54:06And I've probably crossed a line and
- 54:07shouldn't have talked about it on this
- 54:08show,
- 54:09but
- 54:10I'm not giving away any secrets.
- 54:11I'm not giving away any names.
- 54:15It's just ridiculous.
- 54:19I had Social Security four weeks and I
- 54:21was told to just go find a job
- 54:22no matter how long I had to drive.
- 54:24And I'm from Europe.
- 54:27Wow.
- 54:34Common sense for turnips.
- 54:39That's the problem, Vicki,
- 54:40is that common sense is not common
- 54:41anymore.
- 54:43Mark Phillips, no,
- 54:44I'm just shocked it's a benefit.
- 54:45Never heard of any states doing that
- 54:47before.
- 54:49Every state has the ability to do,
- 54:51it's a federal program.
- 54:55Every state has the ability to do this
- 54:58program.
- 55:00Now,
- 55:00they get to make it look however they
- 55:02want to make it look in their state,
- 55:04but everybody has a part of a grant,
- 55:07a federal grant.
- 55:08Every state gets money from it.
- 55:10All fifty take advantage of it,
- 55:12and they can make it look however they
- 55:14want,
- 55:15but it is to help people find jobs
- 55:18and recruit employers.
- 55:21In Louisiana,
- 55:22it probably looks like somebody's buying a
- 55:23Cadillac.
- 55:25That's about how corrupt our shit is down
- 55:26here.
- 55:30Well, you see how well advertised it is.
- 55:33I'm involved in the hiring process pretty
- 55:35often and never heard of it, Alabama.
- 55:40So I would go to conferences in ten
- 55:45states in the Midwest.
- 55:47And I know those ten states were pretty
- 55:51similar in how it looked and felt.
- 55:54It had little things that were tweaked
- 55:55differently here and there.
- 55:59In Ohio,
- 56:00we actually have people hired that their
- 56:02job is to go out and talk to
- 56:03employers about this and to help them weed
- 56:07through the candidates.
- 56:12Nice.
- 56:14So I'm not saying all of them do
- 56:17their job super well,
- 56:20but we do hire them to do that
- 56:22job.
- 56:25And I haven't been out on the front
- 56:26lines in almost ten years,
- 56:27so I would not want to give an
- 56:30assessment of the quality in which they do
- 56:32the jobs.
- 56:33I only ever talk to the supervisors now
- 56:36because I'm with the systems team and we
- 56:38just try to make the systems work for
- 56:40them.
- 56:40Right.
- 56:45And every bit of that meeting today was,
- 56:47this is why I don't do that job
- 56:49anymore.
- 56:50This is why I'm not out on the
- 56:51front lines anymore.
- 56:57always a good a good reminder to remind
- 56:59yourself why this is why i do what
- 57:01i do now instead of what i was
- 57:03doing then exactly and i'm very happy
- 57:05doing what i'm doing now and i don't
- 57:07want to do that anymore yes lord all
