- 0:00Speaker 1: This is all most famous Beyond the Bachelor with Susie Evans.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey, guys, welcome back to Beyond the Bachelor. I'm Susie,
- 0:08Speaker 2: your host, and I'm sure everyone knows Ben Higgins from
- 0:11Speaker 2: season twenty of The Bachelor. Today we're going to be
- 0:14Speaker 2: talking to his wife, Jessica Clark Higgins, So please welcome jess.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Hey, Hi, how's it going and how are you. I'm good.
- 0:24Speaker 3: I'm so happy that you're doing this and we're doing this. No,
- 0:27Speaker 3: I was so happy when they texted me because I'm like,
- 0:30Speaker 3: oh my gosh.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Wait. First of all, I love Susie and I'm so
- 0:33Speaker 1: pumped you started a podcast. Yeah, thanks for thinking of.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Yeah absolutely, I mean I feel like you're exactly who
- 0:40Speaker 2: comes to mind when you think Beyond the Bachelor.
- 0:44Speaker 1: You know. Oh, but of course.
- 0:49Speaker 2: So I feel like, I'm sure you've talked about it
- 0:51Speaker 2: a thousand times, but let the people know how it
- 0:55Speaker 2: did Ben slide into the DMS. I feel like everyone
- 0:57Speaker 2: knows that he's the one that reached out to you.
- 0:59Speaker 3: What did that look like, what did he say? And
- 1:02Speaker 3: how did you feel when you saw the message? Yeah?
- 1:05Speaker 1: So he was staying in Nashville at a hotel and
- 1:08Speaker 1: there was a hockey game across the street, and he
- 1:11Speaker 1: wanted to know who was playing in the hockey game,
- 1:13Speaker 1: and so he searched Bridgetone Arena on his Instagram and
- 1:17Speaker 1: I had just tagged my location there, so I popped
- 1:19Speaker 1: up on his Explore page and he like, screenshot in
- 1:23Speaker 1: my photo. It's a photo with my dad. So I
- 1:26Speaker 1: always joke with him because I'm like, did you like
- 1:28Speaker 1: me or my dad? Because he was the photo. But
- 1:32Speaker 1: he screenshot at it and then saw it a couple
- 1:36Speaker 1: months later and decided to shoot his shot. He was
- 1:40Speaker 1: starting to date again after The Bachelor, and so he
- 1:44Speaker 1: messaged me and I was home with my family for
- 1:47Speaker 1: Thanksgiving and someone with like a million followers and it
- 1:51Speaker 1: was back before you could buy a blue check mark,
- 1:53Speaker 1: so I'm like, who is this person with the blue
- 1:55Speaker 1: check mark that's messaging me. I was just working in
- 1:58Speaker 1: Nashville and my mom had watched his season and she
- 2:02Speaker 1: was like, you have to find out how you found
- 2:03Speaker 1: your photo. That's so random. So I replied, and we've
- 2:08Speaker 1: talked every day since.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I love that.
- 2:11Speaker 2: So you kind of knew from the time that you
- 2:14Speaker 2: dated or went on your first date that Ben was
- 2:18Speaker 2: going to be your person. Did you have that like
- 2:21Speaker 2: when you know you know moment?
- 2:23Speaker 1: I think we had it as so we like facetimed
- 2:26Speaker 1: every day for three weeks before we ever met in person.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Are you serious?
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yes, for like hours because he lives in Denver. He
- 2:34Speaker 1: was living in Denver and I was in Nashville. So
- 2:37Speaker 1: it was like one of us going to fly to
- 2:39Speaker 1: the other one. What are we going to do to
- 2:41Speaker 1: ever see each other in person? But we have to
- 2:43Speaker 1: make sure it's worth it first, especially because like he
- 2:46Speaker 1: is more of a public figure, and so I think
- 2:49Speaker 1: that it felt like the risks were higher if, like
- 2:52Speaker 1: it didn't work out, and I went all the way
- 2:53Speaker 1: out there. So we facetimed for like hours a day
- 2:57Speaker 1: and just really got to know each other and each
- 2:59Speaker 1: other hearts, and I never met anybody like him before that.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I just felt like we were so similar in our
- 3:06Speaker 1: beliefs and what we wanted out of life, and we
- 3:08Speaker 1: could talk about anything, Like I felt like nothing was
- 3:11Speaker 1: off limits with him, and I could joke around with
- 3:13Speaker 1: him and just be myself. So then both of us
- 3:17Speaker 1: had a little bit to drink one night at the
- 3:19Speaker 1: same time, and he bought me a plane ticket and
- 3:21Speaker 1: I flew out the next day and it was like so.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Fast, Oh my gosh. I feel like that's every fangirl's dream.
- 3:30Speaker 3: And I don't know if.
- 3:32Speaker 2: You watched The Bachelor before or if you knew who
- 3:34Speaker 2: Ben was, but I feel like if you've ever been
- 3:36Speaker 2: a huge fan of like a band or a show
- 3:41Speaker 2: or like a movie, something along those lines, your dream
- 3:44Speaker 2: is that you're going to like stumble upon meeting this
- 3:48Speaker 2: like famous rock star whoever, and they're going to fly
- 3:50Speaker 2: you out and you're gonna fall in love and get
- 3:51Speaker 2: married and have a beautiful life and you're literally living
- 3:54Speaker 2: the dream.
- 3:56Speaker 1: No, it really is crazy, Like I this is not
- 4:00Speaker 1: what I ever. I never thought I would date or
- 4:03Speaker 1: marry someone that was like in the public in any
- 4:06Speaker 1: sort of way. But it's worked out. And he he
- 4:11Speaker 1: you met Ben, He's just like the best person, so he.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Makes it easy. That's so sweet. What was your.
- 4:19Speaker 2: First experience or exposure to kind of like the limelight,
- 4:25Speaker 2: So obviously you went out to Denver. Did people take
- 4:28Speaker 2: pictures with you guys, did you guys get spotted or
- 4:30Speaker 2: did you try to keep it on the DL And
- 4:32Speaker 2: what was that like when you first did get spotted together,
- 4:36Speaker 2: so I.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Feel like we've never I've never really talked about this.
- 4:38Speaker 1: But when I flew out to Denver the next day,
- 4:40Speaker 1: he had like an appearance with a company, so he
- 4:44Speaker 1: was he had we had to go to like this
- 4:46Speaker 1: thing and he was doing a meet and greet and
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm like, what this is, like do I it is weird?
- 4:52Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 4:53Speaker 1: And so I went to this meet and greet with
- 4:55Speaker 1: him and I was fine. I just sat there and
- 4:57Speaker 1: they were giving me free food, and I just want
- 5:00Speaker 1: to happen. I'm like, this is so bizarre, like who
- 5:02Speaker 1: is this person? What's happening? But we weren't really like
- 5:06Speaker 1: spotted or anything, because I was just chilling watching him
- 5:09Speaker 1: do his thing. And I think I like went shopping
- 5:13Speaker 1: because it was at the mall. But then we dated
- 5:16Speaker 1: for a couple months and we went to some dinners
- 5:19Speaker 1: and there were like all of these rumors that we
- 5:22Speaker 1: were dating. And I started to get like some Instagram
- 5:26Speaker 1: followers that are like this, you have to be dating Ben,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and like all these messages and stuff. And I still
- 5:31Speaker 1: remember the day that someone must have posted in a
- 5:36Speaker 1: blog this is so funny to talk about because I
- 5:38Speaker 1: feel like it was so long ago, but I remember
- 5:41Speaker 1: I like looked at my phone and I was at
- 5:44Speaker 1: work and I had gotten like twelve thousand views or
- 5:47Speaker 1: something on my Instagram story and I had like a
- 5:50Speaker 1: couple thousand followers just from college, and I was like,
- 5:54Speaker 1: what is happening? And it was I was selling lights
- 5:56Speaker 1: at the time, and it was a story of me
- 5:58Speaker 1: with like this huge light bulb, and I was like,
- 6:00Speaker 1: this is so embarrassing. And I remember that day really well.
- 6:04Speaker 1: But that was probably the first time that I was like,
- 6:08Speaker 1: oh he is he must be more and more important
- 6:11Speaker 1: than I thought, yeah, because I wasn't as familiar with
- 6:15Speaker 1: like the Bachelor world, So that was the first time.
- 6:18Speaker 1: And then I don't even know the first time I
- 6:21Speaker 1: met all the Bachelor people. It might have been Ashley
- 6:23Speaker 1: and Jared's wedding, Oh.
- 6:24Speaker 2: My gosh, and that would have been was that when
- 6:27Speaker 2: was that? Was that before twenty twenty yes? Right, twenty
- 6:32Speaker 2: nineteen nineteen, like this summer, And is that when sort
- 6:37Speaker 2: of your bacheloration friendship started? Because I know, obviously you're
- 6:40Speaker 2: super close with a lot of people like Kaylen, and
- 6:43Speaker 2: you are obviously super close and who are else are
- 6:45Speaker 2: kind of like your friends amongst the Bachelor Nation group.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Yeah, Kaylan is probably my best friend from Bachelor Nation,
- 6:52Speaker 1: especially because now they live in Colorado. I'm going to
- 6:54Speaker 1: see her on Saturday. Beca Tilly has always been like
- 6:58Speaker 1: such a great friend me. She is amazing. And then
- 7:03Speaker 1: we see dian A Lot. We've always seen dian A
- 7:05Speaker 1: Lot Wells. Wells has always been a really good friend.
- 7:08Speaker 1: He and I went to the same college too. Yeah,
- 7:12Speaker 1: we Ben has a lot of really good friends from
- 7:15Speaker 1: the Bachelor and I'm really lucky that everyone has like
- 7:18Speaker 1: been so kind and like embraced me so well.
- 7:20Speaker 2: So well, You're easy to embrace obviously. When I met you,
- 7:25Speaker 2: I was I mean, I feel.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Like I knew of you through.
- 7:28Speaker 2: The grapevine and stuff, and your reputation is wonderful. Everyone
- 7:32Speaker 2: says you're like the most kind, sweet person and have
- 7:34Speaker 2: the best skin, which is true. I have a book
- 7:37Speaker 2: an appointment with you, and I feel like anyone listening
- 7:39Speaker 2: to this if you have skin or beauty questions, I
- 7:42Speaker 2: feel like you need to head over to Jess's Instagram
- 7:45Speaker 2: because I feel like You've got all the answers.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Even in person. You're just glowing.
- 7:50Speaker 2: But it's so fun to see how you're kind of
- 7:52Speaker 2: just like that honorary Bachelor Nation. You kind of just
- 7:56Speaker 2: fit right in. You're not even like an honorary You're
- 7:58Speaker 2: just a part of it now.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 8:02Speaker 1: That actually means a lot, because it definitely is like intimidating.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I don't know if you felt that way after getting
- 8:07Speaker 1: off the show and then you're kind of thrust into things.
- 8:11Speaker 1: But it's a lot of people. Everyone is like, very
- 8:15Speaker 1: good looking, and you don't know if they're gonna be
- 8:16Speaker 1: nice or not, and most people are and it's just
- 8:20Speaker 1: it's a crazy world. But I mean same with you.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Everyone was like, You're gonna love Susie and I was like, hey,
- 8:24Speaker 1: why can't meet to meet her? And we had such
- 8:27Speaker 1: a blast.
- 8:27Speaker 3: But so much fun.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I'm curious your thoughts on dating shows. Do you think
- 8:34Speaker 2: that they are a legitimate way to find love?
- 8:37Speaker 1: That's a good question. What's so funny is I talk
- 8:40Speaker 1: to my clients about this a lot because most of
- 8:43Speaker 1: my clients in my skincare clinic are women, and a
- 8:46Speaker 1: lot of them are like, should I go on the Bachelor?
- 8:47Speaker 3: And I'm like, Dan, I don't know.
- 8:50Speaker 1: It just depends on what you want because it works
- 8:51Speaker 1: for some people, like you really do see it happen,
- 8:54Speaker 1: even like Kaylin and Dean, but then it doesn't work
- 8:58Speaker 1: for a lot of people. But it's almost like a
- 9:01Speaker 1: dating app, like you're gonna go on a lot of
- 9:02Speaker 1: dates before you find your person. And I never thought
- 9:06Speaker 1: I would find my husband on Instagram. So if you're
- 9:10Speaker 1: going to find him on a TV show, like, go
- 9:12Speaker 1: for it. But I think you have to go into
- 9:13Speaker 1: it like expecting the worst maybe and being pleasantly surprised.
- 9:18Speaker 1: But it's almost like a moment of like what do
- 9:20Speaker 1: I have to lose? I know that was where Ben
- 9:22Speaker 1: was at when he went on the show, was like
- 9:25Speaker 1: I've got nothing else going on, like why not? And
- 9:29Speaker 1: if it works, it works, and if it doesn't, it doesn't.
- 9:31Speaker 1: So things like holding it all loosely so true.
- 9:34Speaker 3: And have you watched Ben's season?
- 9:37Speaker 1: No?
- 9:37Speaker 3: Ever?
- 9:38Speaker 1: No? So I my mom reminded me, like after bed
- 9:43Speaker 1: and I had been dating for several months, She's like,
- 9:44Speaker 1: you know, you've seen an episode of his Bachelor season?
- 9:48Speaker 1: Like I was home and it was on because my
- 9:52Speaker 1: family would watch it, and I was home from college
- 9:56Speaker 1: and it was on and I saw him and she
- 9:57Speaker 1: said that she remembers because I looked at the TV
- 10:00Speaker 1: screen and I was like, he's really cute. That's the
- 10:03Speaker 1: kind of guy I would date, And like that was
- 10:04Speaker 1: all I ever said about it. And I don't even remember.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, she's that crazy. I like low key manifested,
- 10:11Speaker 2: but I got chills. I'm not vocal because it's cold
- 10:14Speaker 2: in my hotel room or the story just gave me chills,
- 10:18Speaker 2: but that's actually kind of crazy.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Yeah, But I never went back and watched his season
- 10:23Speaker 1: after we started dating, like the whole thing, because it's
- 10:26Speaker 1: one thing to know that the person you're with has
- 10:28Speaker 1: had an X or x's or done whatever. It's another thing.
- 10:32Speaker 3: To watch it.
- 10:33Speaker 1: And I just I don't think.
- 10:35Speaker 3: It would be healthy. Honestly.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I can attest to that because when I was coming
- 10:40Speaker 2: off the show, I was with the guy that was
- 10:42Speaker 2: the Bachelor, and I felt like I had to watch
- 10:45Speaker 2: it back because it was also what was airing of myself.
- 10:48Speaker 3: So I was like, I can't be unaware of what's.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Being shown and the narrative of like what we're seeing
- 10:53Speaker 2: as the public versus what my reality was. But it
- 10:58Speaker 2: was really hard to like want back the person you're
- 11:01Speaker 2: in a relationship with like fall in love or date
- 11:04Speaker 2: or have express feelings to other people. So I totally
- 11:06Speaker 2: get that. And I'm always curious people that have been
- 11:10Speaker 2: the Bachelor or Bachelorette and then they're in new relationships.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I'm always like, do people go back and watch like
- 11:16Speaker 2: their partners?
- 11:17Speaker 3: Do they go back?
- 11:18Speaker 1: I can't imagine, Like I I saw a clip one
- 11:22Speaker 1: time of him talking to one of like the last
- 11:25Speaker 1: girls on his season, and he was like looking at
- 11:27Speaker 1: her the way he was looking at me, and I
- 11:29Speaker 1: was like, I cannot do this like that. That is crazy.
- 11:34Speaker 3: That is crazy.
- 11:46Speaker 2: When you look at it from where you guys are
- 11:47Speaker 2: at now, like how far you've come, and you think
- 11:50Speaker 2: about contextually, it's like when you're on the show, it's
- 11:53Speaker 2: such a short period of time. And even though I think,
- 11:56Speaker 2: you know, Clayton said that he was in love with
- 11:58Speaker 2: me at that point, I'm like, based on where we
- 12:00Speaker 2: got later in our relationship or different relationships outside, It's
- 12:03Speaker 2: like you might think you love somebody or you might
- 12:05Speaker 2: feel certain things in the moment, but like I feel
- 12:07Speaker 2: like time and like having a real life relationship is
- 12:11Speaker 2: how those things really build, and then you have those
- 12:14Speaker 2: moments where like, oh, I totally thought that was love,
- 12:16Speaker 2: but it really wasn't, and it's just crazy that works out.
- 12:19Speaker 1: That's so interesting. I feel like I haven't heard a
- 12:23Speaker 1: lot of it from the women's perspective either because I
- 12:25Speaker 1: talked to Ben about it, but.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's really interesting.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I also think like because Ben Ben was the bachelor
- 12:34Speaker 1: two years before I met him, maybe longer than that,
- 12:37Speaker 1: and now we've been together for five, so it feels
- 12:40Speaker 1: like less and less kind of significant to our relationship.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Like right when we started dating, I was like very
- 12:47Speaker 1: insecure about it, very worried about being compared to his ex,
- 12:51Speaker 1: like all of those things were like all consuming. But
- 12:54Speaker 1: then the farther you get away, the more you're like,
- 12:56Speaker 1: oh no, you.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Like it's just us.
- 13:01Speaker 1: But it took a while to get there.
- 13:04Speaker 2: And also I think I don't know if you've if
- 13:07Speaker 2: you have this experience, but I feel like it's one
- 13:09Speaker 2: thing to have, like you said, to have a boyfriend
- 13:13Speaker 2: or fiance husband and then they haven't experts another thing
- 13:15Speaker 2: to probably constantly get asked about it like I'm doing
- 13:18Speaker 2: in this interview asking you questions about.
- 13:20Speaker 3: The past, where people just keep.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Revisiting this narrative because that's what people saw on TV.
- 13:25Speaker 2: And I feel like people probably have no clue how
- 13:28Speaker 2: hard it is to navigate like post TV show relationships,
- 13:33Speaker 2: whether you were on it or if you're dating somebody
- 13:35Speaker 2: that was on it.
- 13:37Speaker 3: What would be like your best advice for.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Somebody that is dating a former bachelor or bachelorette.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that such a niche group, but I
- 13:47Speaker 1: stick together, honestly, I would say, like, I mean, first
- 13:53Speaker 1: of all, I love that I didn't watch it because
- 13:56Speaker 1: I think that that would have really messed with my
- 13:57Speaker 1: head in a different way. And then like, remember that
- 14:01Speaker 1: they're with you for a reason, Like it didn't work
- 14:03Speaker 1: out with the other people for a reason, and not
- 14:07Speaker 1: because those people are bad people by any means. Most
- 14:10Speaker 1: of the people I've met from Ben season are some
- 14:12Speaker 1: of my favorite girls of all time. But it's just
- 14:16Speaker 1: like there's a reason why it worked with me and
- 14:18Speaker 1: not them, And saying with the people that they're with
- 14:21Speaker 1: now you know what I mean. So I think just
- 14:24Speaker 1: like staying really confident and true to who you are
- 14:28Speaker 1: and focusing on your own relationship, which when I started
- 14:32Speaker 1: dating Ben, I had a mentor and she told me, like,
- 14:35Speaker 1: wake up in the morning, and remind yourself like what
- 14:38Speaker 1: is true today and go through the truths of today.
- 14:40Speaker 1: So like today Ben is your boyfriend, you live in Nashville,
- 14:44Speaker 1: you work for this company, and like going through like
- 14:47Speaker 1: those truths helps a lot too.
- 14:50Speaker 3: That's so powerful. Like that's powerful beyond dating.
- 14:54Speaker 2: That's so important, whether it's like anxiety or you know,
- 14:59Speaker 2: work trouble, because I feel like so many people get
- 15:02Speaker 2: caught up on like thinking. And I know even as
- 15:04Speaker 2: you're saying, I'm like, oh, I should do that for
- 15:05Speaker 2: myself because there's so many things happening and if you
- 15:08Speaker 2: can just like bring yourself back to reality and kind
- 15:10Speaker 2: of like touch grass, then so many things evaporate from
- 15:14Speaker 2: that realm of like the emotional side that causes anxiety
- 15:17Speaker 2: or stress and like all the negativity totally.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And I'm like a future tripper. So I still do
- 15:24Speaker 1: that to this day. I'll wake up and be like
- 15:26Speaker 1: I don't need to worry about that because today I'm
- 15:28Speaker 1: waking up, I'm going to work, I'm walking my dog.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Like that's my truth for today. And like you said,
- 15:33Speaker 1: it's very like grounding.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Yes, that's so true. Okay, well besides the Bachelor stuff.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I know you obviously get to travel with Ben occasionally
- 15:42Speaker 2: to some of these events. Do you enjoy the travel
- 15:45Speaker 2: or do you like being home in Colorado or do
- 15:47Speaker 2: you prefer kind.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Of a balance.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I'm more of a balanced person. I love my routine,
- 15:53Speaker 1: I love my home. I do really well when I can,
- 15:57Speaker 1: like find time to rest, learning to rest more, and
- 16:02Speaker 1: traveling can sometimes just make me a little bit anxious,
- 16:05Speaker 1: especially if it's like a go go go lifestyle. Bin's
- 16:08Speaker 1: had the go go lifestyle for like seven years, and
- 16:11Speaker 1: he also works virtually and I work in person, and
- 16:14Speaker 1: so I think that stresses me out a little bit too.
- 16:17Speaker 1: We talk all the time of if it would be
- 16:19Speaker 1: different if my whole practice was virtual instead of in person,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I might not feel so anxious.
- 16:25Speaker 3: But I also.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I've never experienced fomo in my life. But I think
- 16:30Speaker 1: I get to the point where I'm like, we'll never
- 16:32Speaker 1: get to have this opportunity again, Like I want to
- 16:34Speaker 1: do it, like the Carmel trip where I met you.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I'm like, what else can I go to a Carmel
- 16:38Speaker 1: by the sea?
- 16:39Speaker 3: Are you kidding?
- 16:40Speaker 1: So I definitely try and weigh it in those terms
- 16:44Speaker 1: of will I ever be able to do this again?
- 16:46Speaker 1: And if the answer is maybe not, then I'll do it.
- 16:48Speaker 1: But I always prefer to stay home.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Such a good way to look at it.
- 16:53Speaker 2: And there are so many cool things that you get
- 16:56Speaker 2: to do when you're kind of like in this world.
- 16:58Speaker 2: What has been your favorite trip or experience that you
- 17:00Speaker 2: guys have done together, whether it was like brand or
- 17:04Speaker 2: work related, or just something that you guys have done together.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Right when we started dating, we'd been dating for like
- 17:11Speaker 1: eight months, and he did a golf tournament in Switzerland,
- 17:15Speaker 1: which now I'm looking back and I'm like, that was
- 17:17Speaker 1: really unlike him. He would I don't feel like he
- 17:21Speaker 1: would ever do that again. And I don't know if
- 17:23Speaker 1: it was like a flex, I have no idea, but
- 17:25Speaker 1: he took me to Switzerland and that was like so cool.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I remember thinking like this guy, like who is he?
- 17:33Speaker 3: And this trip was amazing?
- 17:34Speaker 1: And so that stands out for sure, And then I'm
- 17:40Speaker 1: trying to think we've done like so many cool things.
- 17:43Speaker 1: I really enjoyed the Carmel trip in Pebble Beach. I
- 17:46Speaker 1: thought that was really fun. Yeah, just like all these
- 17:51Speaker 1: places I never would normally go. Anything that we've done
- 17:55Speaker 1: with iHeart, I mean all of it, Like I don't
- 17:57Speaker 1: regret going on any single trip with him. But the
- 18:01Speaker 1: Switzerland thing, I'm like, that was really wild of you
- 18:05Speaker 1: to do, but it was really fun.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Honestly, the Switzerland was definitely a flex Like that's pretty wild.
- 18:11Speaker 3: I feel like a guy flying you to Switzerland.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Like that's just the next level living in a dream.
- 18:19Speaker 2: If he's like daty guy, he flies you to Switzerland
- 18:22Speaker 2: for a golf tournament, that is wild and.
- 18:24Speaker 1: That's so not been That's what's weird. It's like that's
- 18:28Speaker 1: not him at all. He's he would never do that
- 18:30Speaker 1: to like impress anybody. And I think he probably wanted
- 18:34Speaker 1: to play in the golf tournament in Switzerland and then
- 18:36Speaker 1: it was like, well, I guess I'll bring my new girlfriend.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Like I don't know, but yeah, we've never done anything
- 18:41Speaker 1: like that since, and we've never really like talked about
- 18:44Speaker 1: doing anything like that since.
- 18:45Speaker 3: But that was really cool. That's awesome.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Okay, And then I want to talk a little bit
- 18:52Speaker 2: about your clinic in Colorado, Like what do you specialize in?
- 18:56Speaker 2: I feel like when I saw you last, I was
- 18:58Speaker 2: asking you all the skin questions, But what do you
- 19:02Speaker 2: specialize in? What do you see people for most? And
- 19:04Speaker 2: like what tips and tricks can you give people today
- 19:07Speaker 2: for their skin and to look beautiful and feel beautiful.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I know, I last time we were together, I was like, no,
- 19:12Speaker 1: we'll FaceTime and go over your skin, and then we
- 19:14Speaker 1: just never did. So we still need to do that,
- 19:17Speaker 1: first of all, because it's my absolute favorite thing. But yeah,
- 19:21Speaker 1: I have a clinic in Denver. I'm an acne specialist,
- 19:24Speaker 1: so I usually start seeing people when they're experiencing acne,
- 19:27Speaker 1: and then we'll get them to a point where that's
- 19:30Speaker 1: not really a main concern anymore, and I'll do things
- 19:32Speaker 1: like micro needling. I have an oxygen facial machine, so
- 19:36Speaker 1: technically I'm a medical asthetician as well, which is really fun.
- 19:41Speaker 1: But I think the biggest tip that I can give
- 19:43Speaker 1: people really is to find like what's personalized to them,
- 19:46Speaker 1: because we're all so uniquely made and you, I mean,
- 19:50Speaker 1: I get overwhelmed seeing like other people's skincare routine, So
- 19:53Speaker 1: I can only imagine not having the knowledge that I
- 19:56Speaker 1: do have in seeing that. I think I would get
- 19:58Speaker 1: so sucked into it. But our skin is so different,
- 20:01Speaker 1: just like our bodies are so different, and like whatever
- 20:05Speaker 1: you prefer is different. So I think finding like paying
- 20:09Speaker 1: attention to your own skin. Even meeting with a professional
- 20:12Speaker 1: and seeing what they would recommend based on your concerns
- 20:15Speaker 1: can be super, super beneficial because otherwise you're just going
- 20:19Speaker 1: to keep on trying things that don't work for you, right.
- 20:22Speaker 2: And there's so much money in that industry, And I
- 20:25Speaker 2: feel like, I'm sure a lot of people can relate
- 20:27Speaker 2: to this.
- 20:27Speaker 3: When you see people on Instagram or.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Whatever and I post about things and I try new things,
- 20:33Speaker 2: but I think it can be really intimidating because you're
- 20:36Speaker 2: seeing people that probably have a filter on may or
- 20:39Speaker 2: may not have a filter on, and there's claiming certain
- 20:41Speaker 2: products do certain things. So I think that's such good
- 20:44Speaker 2: advice to like go seek professionally, like somebody professionally and just.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Find out what works for you. That's like, I feel
- 20:50Speaker 3: like everyone can can take that to heart.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah, And I always have people that are like, You're
- 20:55Speaker 1: going to be so mad that I love this product,
- 20:57Speaker 1: And I'm like, I'm not mad. If you love a product,
- 20:59Speaker 1: if it works for you, it works for you, Like
- 21:01Speaker 1: if you absolutely swear by and is steer them from
- 21:05Speaker 1: the ordinary, like that's amazing. You should keep using it
- 21:08Speaker 1: because it works for your skin. I'll tell you what
- 21:10Speaker 1: I think could be better, but that you know, use
- 21:14Speaker 1: what works for you. It doesn't really matter.
- 21:16Speaker 3: That's awesome. Well, I think that's all of our questions.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I mean, thank you so much for joining me and
- 21:24Speaker 2: going through and letting us like pry into your life
- 21:27Speaker 2: and get all the juicy ta the app Oh.
- 21:29Speaker 1: My gosh, you literally were praying at all. That's such
- 21:33Speaker 1: great questions. So it's really fun to talk about because
- 21:37Speaker 1: it has been a while since I was like the
- 21:39Speaker 1: new kid on the block with the bachelor stuff, so
- 21:41Speaker 1: it's kind of fun to think about again.
- 21:43Speaker 3: That's good. I'm glad.
- 21:44Speaker 2: So I'm like, sometimes it feels I don't want to
- 21:46Speaker 2: ask too many of the same things over and over again.
- 21:49Speaker 2: But I'm glad that you enjoyed it, and thank you
- 21:52Speaker 2: for joining us. I know you have to run. Thank
- 21:54Speaker 2: you for doing this on your lunch break.

- 22:11Speaker 2: how she met Ben and a little bit more about
- 22:13Speaker 2: her life in Colorado. Thank you guys for listening beyond
- 22:16Speaker 2: the Bachelor, We'll see you next time.
