- 0:21Speaker 3: Hey Monica, Hi Daisy, so great to meet you.
- 0:25Speaker 2: You too, So where did you go to school?
- 0:28Speaker 4: I went to University of Arizona.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I bet you have a crazy story.
- 0:32Speaker 3: I went on a spring break trip in Aspin with
- 0:35Speaker 3: my sorority sisters.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Okay, and you know, like like recently or what like
- 0:40Speaker 2: my senior year.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Okay, we were day drinking at a bar and there
- 0:44Speaker 3: was a DJ, so of course you know DJ day drinking.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Just how high when you're drunk? Any DJ is amazing?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Right, It's so true, especially when there's like a good
- 0:56Speaker 3: song on you just like you throw our heads up
- 0:57Speaker 3: at you.
- 0:58Speaker 2: You're in the moment.
- 0:59Speaker 4: So how happened?
- 1:00Speaker 3: So again in the moment and not giving anything about anything.
- 1:05Speaker 3: My best friend got up on a table and of
- 1:08Speaker 3: course it's an.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Elevated, elevated surface. Yes, we love elevated surfaces.
- 1:13Speaker 3: When you're drinking with the DJ, and she slipped and
- 1:17Speaker 3: fell off the table and she cracked her head open,
- 1:20Speaker 3: like bad, bad, very bad, and so all of us,
- 1:24Speaker 3: you know how girls are, like, we just band together
- 1:26Speaker 3: when we were like drinking and it's like, yo, we have.
- 1:28Speaker 4: To go support each other.
- 1:29Speaker 3: But we did, and eight of us sorority sister has
- 1:32Speaker 3: gotten an uber with her and took her to the
- 1:34Speaker 3: emergency room.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Just everyone's showing up drunk, got second emergency emergency rooms, worst.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Night, and they were all playing.
- 1:45Speaker 3: It took so long that we played Truth or Dare
- 1:46Speaker 3: in the waiting room and she ended up getting staples
- 1:49Speaker 3: in her head and she was okay and she rallied Okay, yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 2: She from that moment, did she rally on?
- 1:55Speaker 3: No, We took her like when she started bleeding, so
- 1:59Speaker 3: then you know, we went to the emergency room and yeah,
- 2:01Speaker 3: she had.
- 2:01Speaker 4: To wear like uh on it And for the rest
- 2:06Speaker 4: of the trip.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Did she have a concussion?
- 2:08Speaker 4: No? No, she was totally okay.
- 2:09Speaker 2: That's good.
- 2:10Speaker 4: She rallied on afterwards with her wrap on.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Nice. Yeah, I had a great. Was the rest of
- 2:15Speaker 2: the trip great?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:16Speaker 4: I mean Aspen's great, so you know, yeah, it was fine.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Well, good thing, nothing like worse happened exactly exactly. That's great.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Did you go did you usually go to Aspen for
- 2:26Speaker 2: spring break or did you go now?
- 2:27Speaker 4: I typically do, like.
- 2:28Speaker 3: The Mexico stuff, like the Cobo stuff, because yeah, okay
- 2:31Speaker 3: to share that you went to Cabo for your spring break.
- 2:33Speaker 4: So but you were sober during the.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Spring Breakay, so that was actually in Cancun?
- 2:37Speaker 4: Okay, Okay? Was that that was intentional because you weren't
- 2:40Speaker 4: feeling good or was.
- 2:40Speaker 2: It because yeah, I was on like a bunch of
- 2:42Speaker 2: medication and stuff, so I couldn't drink for like eight
- 2:45Speaker 2: nine months. Wow, I was sober, like basically I was
- 2:48Speaker 2: so basically my whole entire senior year, oh wow, which
- 2:51Speaker 2: was crazy because.
- 2:52Speaker 4: You're in college.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I learned so much. Like I had all the tea,
- 2:56Speaker 2: all the gossip. I knew everything.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Were you like Mama Daisy taking care of everybody or
- 3:00Speaker 3: the d D and like.
- 3:02Speaker 2: No, I was kind of just like watching everyone.
- 3:04Speaker 3: It's like you're a fly on the wall see everybody
- 3:06Speaker 3: with their drug behavior.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Yeah, because everybody's truth comes out. So I'm sure you
- 3:10Speaker 4: heard everything.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I heard everything.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I'm sure you were like, oh you told me that
- 3:14Speaker 4: last night and yeah, like I don't remember saying.
- 3:16Speaker 2: And spring break was crazy too, because like it was
- 3:19Speaker 2: just like a mix of schools and people were hooking
- 3:22Speaker 2: up with other people, and like I somehow was like
- 3:26Speaker 2: I just knew everything. And then I would wake up
- 3:29Speaker 2: and like debrief with all my friends and'd be like.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Wait, what the day report? Yeah that's cue.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yeah, but like you know, this guy hooked up with
- 3:38Speaker 3: this girl last night. Now he's looking up with this
- 3:39Speaker 3: girl the next night.
- 3:41Speaker 2: It was crazy.
- 3:42Speaker 4: But oh my, oh my gosh. Did you go to
- 3:44Speaker 4: Cancun every spring break or did you do a trip?
- 3:47Speaker 2: So I usually went with like my family because I
- 3:49Speaker 2: had like younger siblings, so we would all meet up
- 3:51Speaker 2: over a spring break. But I went to or actually, no,
- 3:55Speaker 2: one year we went. I went to Arizona for the
- 3:58Speaker 2: first half. My brother went to Asu he's a year older.
- 4:02Speaker 2: And then the second half of you went to Newport is.
- 4:05Speaker 4: One of our house California.
- 4:07Speaker 2: So yeah, that was freshman year. Sophomore year, like what
- 4:11Speaker 2: do we do? Sophomore year? I don't remember what I did.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And then junior year, I think everyone went to Cabo
- 4:19Speaker 2: and I didn't go that year. And then senior year,
- 4:21Speaker 2: we all went to Cantcon CanCon.
- 4:24Speaker 4: So which one was your favorite?
- 4:25Speaker 2: Honestly, you probably can't. Coon. I mean it was really fun.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Cancuon's a place to be. Yeah, and Cabo
- 4:31Speaker 4: and all that for spring break. Yeah, it's like a hub. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:34Speaker 4: that's cool. That's fun.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Well, that's crazy. I'm glad that your friend was okay
- 4:39Speaker 2: and it wasn't worse than it.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Was, I know.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I think also it's like, when you're in that mindset,
- 4:44Speaker 3: you just want to rally because you're having so much fun.
- 4:46Speaker 3: You don't want anything to ruin because we all have
- 4:48Speaker 3: this vision of spring break of what it's supposed to be.
- 4:50Speaker 3: It's like a party and have fun, being responsible, but
- 4:53Speaker 3: you know we're kind of letting loose, you know for
- 4:55Speaker 3: earlier somebody.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Everyone has everyone around you.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's a fun.
- 5:00Speaker 3: So it's like you don't want to ruin that vibe
- 5:02Speaker 3: for anybody and go home early. And like you're going
- 5:04Speaker 3: home and you're like, oh, sorry, mom and dad, I
- 5:07Speaker 3: cracked my head open, you know, so it's like kind
- 5:10Speaker 3: of just keep going. But you know, she was fine,
- 5:12Speaker 3: everything was okay, you know, So she did rally on
- 5:15Speaker 3: but she was cautious, but she was good.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Yeah. So well I'm glad. Yeah, okay, Well, thank you
- 5:21Speaker 2: so much for coming on. Thought it was great talking
- 5:23Speaker 2: with you.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I do.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Okay, guys, we have our next caller. I'm here with Grace.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Hey, Hi Daisy, how are you good?
- 5:43Speaker 2: How's it going? Thanks for coming on.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Do you have any crazy spring break stories?
- 5:51Speaker 1: Okay, I couldn't really think of a great one on
- 5:54Speaker 1: my own, but I have one that I love about
- 5:56Speaker 1: my sister.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Oh that's amazing.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So I I went to the same collage as my
- 6:01Speaker 1: sister and she was a freshman. Oh no, she was
- 6:06Speaker 1: a sophomore at this time and I was a senior. Okay, fun,
- 6:08Speaker 1: and we both kind of split up for spring break.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I went and did something with my friends, and then
- 6:13Speaker 1: she went to Cobbo with all of her friends.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Okay, and a couple of weeks.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I honestly, a couple of months prior to this, she
- 6:19Speaker 1: had started telling me like, there's this boy in my
- 6:21Speaker 1: accounting class that I think is so cute. I don't
- 6:23Speaker 1: know how to talk to him.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 6:25Speaker 1: So she goes on spring break, and the first half
- 6:28Speaker 1: of spring break we did our own thing. The second half,
- 6:30Speaker 1: we met up with our family.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Oh that's fun and Cobo, Yes, oh I love that.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a really fun plan and kind of
- 6:37Speaker 1: got the best of both worlds. But she comes back
- 6:40Speaker 1: to our family and she like walks them to this
- 6:42Speaker 1: lunch the first time we see her. When she arrives
- 6:44Speaker 1: and she is like floating, We're like, what is going on?
- 6:48Speaker 1: What happened to you?
- 6:49Speaker 2: And she's see a counting boy and she goes.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And that a boy. We're like, this is too drama,
- 6:56Speaker 1: but tell us about it. She's like, it's the boy
- 6:58Speaker 1: from accounting we made contacted squid Row and both walked
- 7:03Speaker 1: up to each other. Long story shore. They ended up
- 7:07Speaker 1: spending the whole entire trip together. Merged to their friend groups,
- 7:10Speaker 1: a bunch of like the guys liked the girls that she.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Was hanging out, Like, that's cute.
- 7:14Speaker 1: They had like such a fun couple of days.
- 7:16Speaker 2: They had the best spring breakover.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Best spring breakover. They're still dating to this day, two yours.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Now, that's amazing.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Last weekend I went back to Cabo with my family
- 7:27Speaker 1: and he was invited.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I know when we got to it.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Things can you guys, these can happen on squid ro
- 7:34Speaker 1: you guys a good thing. It's not always good thing, manifested,
- 7:38Speaker 1: but yeah, I think it's just like such a funny
- 7:41Speaker 1: story because also yeah, them, they're like the most really
- 7:44Speaker 1: expecting people to be in a trashy bar.
- 7:46Speaker 2: But it's a really happy spring break story. She like
- 7:48Speaker 2: manifested that like telling you about this, I know in
- 7:51Speaker 2: an accounting.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I know, seriously, I love it for her.
- 7:54Speaker 2: They walk eye contacted squid row squid row. However, guys
- 7:58Speaker 2: like so cute. Did you go to Cabo for four
- 8:00Speaker 2: years for college?
- 8:01Speaker 1: No? My first year I actually went to Florida with
- 8:04Speaker 1: some friends. We went to US Palm Beach, which was fun.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And then one year I went to California to visit
- 8:10Speaker 1: some of my friends who went to different schools like
- 8:13Speaker 1: USC and Santa Barbara and stuff, and I did kind
- 8:15Speaker 1: of like a week in California, which was fun.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Fun.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Cabo one year and then actually Cobo twice.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Nice. Yeah, spring break should be like mandatory for like
- 8:25Speaker 2: all periods of life.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I know, it was fun to go this past weekend
- 8:29Speaker 1: with my family because both my younger sisters are still
- 8:31Speaker 1: in college, so I got own like many spring break
- 8:34Speaker 1: and that.
- 8:35Speaker 2: The were there like friends still there.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Yeah, some of their friends were still there and we
- 8:39Speaker 1: went to hang out with that. It was really fun,
- 8:41Speaker 1: and I mean, I'm so jealous. I'm like, can I
- 8:43Speaker 1: get spring break?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Back?
- 8:44Speaker 1: To your point, I think it should be mandatory.
- 8:46Speaker 2: When I have kids, I'm like totally crashing their spring break.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I'm going to be.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm going to be. I think you should be.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much for coming on. Of course,
- 8:57Speaker 2: have a great rest of your day too.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Bye bye.
- 9:00Speaker 2: H Okay, we have our next caller. Mari is here.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Hello.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I can't wait to hear your spring break story. We've
- 9:08Speaker 2: been having so many great stories. So where did you
- 9:11Speaker 2: go to college?
- 9:12Speaker 4: I went to cal Berkeley.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, so cool. I feel like we've had
- 9:17Speaker 2: right but I feel like we've had quite a few
- 9:20Speaker 2: people from there that I've been on this podcast since
- 9:22Speaker 2: we've had it going. But where did you go for
- 9:24Speaker 2: spring break?
- 9:25Speaker 1: So?
- 9:26Speaker 5: The most memorable one was our senior year and it
- 9:30Speaker 5: was like obviously, like so exciting because we all know
- 9:32Speaker 5: we're graduating, and we all decided to go to Cancun.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Okay, and that's where I went for my senior So
- 9:39Speaker 2: I love it.
- 9:40Speaker 4: I love it so good.
- 9:42Speaker 5: It was so fun and I was so excited. The
- 9:44Speaker 5: beaches are gorgeous and it's like the first day there,
- 9:47Speaker 5: and of course we've been like working all spring to
- 9:49Speaker 5: get beach and bikini ready and go have fun. And
- 9:54Speaker 5: stupidly I did not think about like I had never
- 9:57Speaker 5: been to Mexico and tried all the food food and
- 10:00Speaker 5: the different so I did everything wrong and I was
- 10:03Speaker 5: having salads and drinking.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Water that was not bottled.
- 10:07Speaker 5: So like day two, I wake up so nauseous and
- 10:10Speaker 5: I was like, oh, yeah, I didn't even drink that much, Like,
- 10:13Speaker 5: how can I be this nauseous? What is wrong with me?
- 10:16Speaker 5: It turned out I just got some like food poisons
- 10:19Speaker 5: of food poisoning. Yes, so the like by day three,
- 10:24Speaker 5: I was not getting better, and they called the hotel doctor.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I didn't speak Spanish. I took French in college. Yeah.
- 10:31Speaker 4: She comes in and he.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Has a like a needle that is probably like four
- 10:35Speaker 5: inches long. No, yes, And the nice friend of mine
- 10:39Speaker 5: who was helping translate, was like, he needs to do
- 10:42Speaker 5: it in your backside, in your butt, So he gave
- 10:45Speaker 5: me this huge shot.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I have no idea what it was, but didn't help.
- 10:49Speaker 4: It made me feel better Okay.
- 10:51Speaker 2: That's amazing. So were you just down for like a day?
- 10:53Speaker 4: I was down for like three days until I got
- 10:55Speaker 4: the shot. I know, I know, so here.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Like I was, so you know how you envisioned perfect
- 11:00Speaker 5: great and.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Then like when you're feeling that sick, like all you
- 11:03Speaker 2: want to do is be home in bed.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Exactly, yeah, exactly exactly. So I learned, like I guess
- 11:08Speaker 4: the trick is you take pepto.
- 11:09Speaker 5: In the morning and the evening just to one and
- 11:11Speaker 5: then yeah, don't like drink top water.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, did anyone else get sick? No?
- 11:17Speaker 4: I was the only one.
- 11:19Speaker 5: You me.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Yes, I'm sorry, live in the way for your senior.
- 11:23Speaker 4: I know, I'm so sorry. I know. It was definitely memorable.
- 11:27Speaker 2: But yeah, definitely for sure memorable. Well do you have
- 11:33Speaker 2: any other stories at all from college? I reel like.
- 11:37Speaker 5: There was just so many fun ones because later that
- 11:41Speaker 5: a few nights later when we were there, like one
- 11:43Speaker 5: of the bars in Cancun, I don't they had like
- 11:46Speaker 5: a dance contest and one of my friends was like
- 11:48Speaker 5: this amazing dancer.
- 11:50Speaker 2: She fully won, Like that's amazing and free shots and
- 11:54Speaker 2: free we love spring break.
- 11:56Speaker 5: I know, I know she was up there and just
- 11:58Speaker 5: so into it's so fun.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much for coming on the pot.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Thank you for having me yet.
- 12:05Speaker 2: You too, Thank you guys for tuning in to Dirty Rush.
- 12:09Speaker 2: If you have any crazy spring break stories, make sure
- 12:12Speaker 2: to call in and let us know. I know now

- 12:19Speaker 2: Bye guys,
