- 0:02Speaker 1: Hey, what up, boxing fans. This is the Rope of
- 0:05Speaker 1: Dope Radio podcast. I am your host, Chris Carlson. We
- 0:08Speaker 1: are alive on another Tuesday night. Uh huh, not bad,
- 0:12Speaker 1: not bad anyway. We have a lot to discuss, obviously,
- 0:17Speaker 1: coming off a great week of boxing. It's always nice
- 0:20Speaker 1: when you know, you look forward to a fight and
- 0:24Speaker 1: then it just pops off. And that's exactly what we had.
- 0:29Speaker 1: You know, Morell had a good start, didn't appear benefit
- 0:33Speaker 1: just gonna pull away like for Good and Morell Man
- 0:38Speaker 1: he really stepped up down the stretch. We'll talk about
- 0:42Speaker 1: some of the fights on the undercard as well. Stephen Fulton, Man, Wow,
- 0:49Speaker 1: he really shut down Figueroa. He shut him down. A
- 0:57Speaker 1: lot of people were disappointed in that fight. I think
- 1:00Speaker 1: either I don't know, I just if you're gonna be
- 1:04Speaker 1: disappointed be disappointed in figure Roll because he didn't he
- 1:08Speaker 1: didn't bring it all. But yeah, well we'll talk about
- 1:13Speaker 1: that just in general, and we'll preview the weekend. We
- 1:17Speaker 1: have just sore Wallan. Willie Hutchinson unfortunately had to pull
- 1:22Speaker 1: out of his fight with Zach Parker due an injury.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I was kind of interested in watching that fight Mason,
- 1:30Speaker 1: Abdullah Abdulah Mason will be U is also on that card,
- 1:36Speaker 1: I believe. So we'll talk a little bit about this weekend,
- 1:40Speaker 1: but a lot of it will, of course, you know,
- 1:44Speaker 1: revolve around what happened last weekend, even some of the prelims.
- 1:49Speaker 1: We got a really competitive fight. I thought it would
- 1:52Speaker 1: be a good fight. But man, but we'll talk about it.
- 1:57Speaker 1: We'll talk about it because it was a stoppage that
- 2:02Speaker 1: didn't need to happen at that time. Could have definitely
- 2:05Speaker 1: let it go, and many people's opinion, but we'll get
- 2:11Speaker 1: into that. We'll get it. If this is your first
- 2:13Speaker 1: time listening to the Ropeoedope radio podcast, welcome. We're no
- 2:17Speaker 1: longer on blog Talk. The main hub now is Spricker
- 2:21Speaker 1: and we just moved over there. Okay, so we are
- 2:24Speaker 1: kind of still figuring stuff out. I'm having a little
- 2:27Speaker 1: issue getting everything where it needs to be. So, you know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: Spricker right now, you could check it out, but we
- 2:36Speaker 1: will be you know, soon enough, hopefully by tonight or
- 2:41Speaker 1: tomorrow or sometime very soon, we'll be able to have
- 2:43Speaker 1: it on Apple Podcasts and iHeartRadio and Google podcast Player
- 2:49Speaker 1: FM all that good stuff. But right now at the
- 2:51Speaker 1: home base is on Spricker. Also download the podcast app.
- 2:57Speaker 1: So yeah, that's that's the scenario right now. While you're
- 3:03Speaker 1: at it, head on over to the Grueling two dot
- 3:05Speaker 1: com and Sports News twenty four and one more message
- 3:11Speaker 1: from direct TV stream catch the big game with the
- 3:14Speaker 1: new MySports Beta for just forty nine ninety nine for
- 3:19Speaker 1: the first three months. It's a pretty damn good deal.
- 3:23Speaker 1: It's just sports Sports Sports. They also obviously have the
- 3:28Speaker 1: Entertainment Package which starts at eighty six nine, and they
- 3:36Speaker 1: do have a free trial that you can check out
- 3:38Speaker 1: as well. I forgot how long that lasts. But if
- 3:44Speaker 1: you go to the Choice package that includes FanDuel SEC
- 3:48Speaker 1: network FanDuel was formerly Bally's one fourteen ninety nine per month,
- 3:55Speaker 1: and if you go to the Ultimate which includes one
- 3:58Speaker 1: hundred and sixty channels plus one ninety nine okay, that's
- 4:04Speaker 1: direct TV Stream. They have that my free direct Tv
- 4:09Speaker 1: I think you may want to check out too. No
- 4:11Speaker 1: credit card and ball but that you can just check
- 4:13Speaker 1: it out, see what you want to watch. They have
- 4:16Speaker 1: some live stuff, they have archive stuff. Should definitely check
- 4:21Speaker 1: it out, all right. So, yeah, like I said, I mean,
- 4:25Speaker 1: that was a fun night of fights, no doubt about it.
- 4:30Speaker 1: You know, once we're done, John's gonna call here in
- 4:32Speaker 1: just this little bit, once we're done kind of talking
- 4:37Speaker 1: each fight through. Well, well, we'll talk each fight through
- 4:41Speaker 1: and then kind of see what's next. Obviously, Benavidez Turkey
- 4:46Speaker 1: did say anyway that he was gonna invite the winner
- 4:52Speaker 1: of Saturday's fight to go ringside and Paturbia Biffel obviously,
- 4:59Speaker 1: that that is the fight that everybody would like him
- 5:03Speaker 1: to see him in the winner of that. Obviously, if
- 5:07Speaker 1: you know Befall wins, there's probably gonna be a trilogy,
- 5:12Speaker 1: and rightfully so obviously, so yeah, we'll see you know,
- 5:18Speaker 1: and we're will Morell go where where's everybody go after
- 5:21Speaker 1: this stuff? That that's an important one obviously, So yeah,
- 5:25Speaker 1: we're gonna get into that in a little bit. But
- 5:29Speaker 1: I just want to, you know, just talk about that
- 5:33Speaker 1: benefit is Morell fight. I gave Morel the first round.
- 5:39Speaker 1: You know, It's not that I didn't think benevete Is
- 5:42Speaker 1: he landed some good like your right hand, like a
- 5:44Speaker 1: nice right hand late one. I think one did. The
- 5:49Speaker 1: body wanted the head late, but I thought Moreau was
- 5:54Speaker 1: was land anymore. And it was just a few more
- 5:56Speaker 1: clean ones and and I thought that his right hand
- 6:01Speaker 1: was landed really well. I gate benefit is the second round,
- 6:05Speaker 1: several clean right hands to the head, you know, two
- 6:12Speaker 1: way action to close big right hands, like I mean
- 6:18Speaker 1: throughout the round. Really morel Now he did like land
- 6:23Speaker 1: some flush left hands himself, and you know he he don't.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I don't think he stole around, but he definitely you know,
- 6:33Speaker 1: landed some really good shots that made you go. That
- 6:35Speaker 1: was the tight round.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Now.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I thought the third and fourth were pretty close. And
- 6:44Speaker 1: the third round it was funny because you had you
- 6:49Speaker 1: had the crowd chanting Cuba, right, he had the crowd
- 6:54Speaker 1: chanting Cuba, and then Mexico fans like overwhelmed it by booing.
- 6:59Speaker 1: It was pretty freaking funny, but a competitive, very competitive round.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Benevetez had some nice flurries to the body and head.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I did think Morell landed the better shots though in
- 7:11Speaker 1: that in that round. Now, the fourth round, this was
- 7:15Speaker 1: one of the better rounds. I think that's where Benavidez
- 7:19Speaker 1: got cut from a headbutt. But they this this is
- 7:25Speaker 1: where the fight kind of moved inside both of them
- 7:28Speaker 1: and Beneftez, you know, was definitely getting the better of
- 7:34Speaker 1: it on the inside right, but end up talking. You know,
- 7:41Speaker 1: huge right hand as well as the round went on,
- 7:46Speaker 1: just a back and forth. It's just super fun round right,
- 7:49Speaker 1: one of the better rounds I think of the year,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and I think it'll hold for a while. But there
- 7:55Speaker 1: was a right I think it was a right hook
- 7:57Speaker 1: that buzzed Benevetez. So the better overall work was definitely Benavitez.
- 8:05Speaker 1: But man, you know, I didn't have him. You know,
- 8:09Speaker 1: it's one of those things that I did think about. Man,
- 8:12Speaker 1: did Morel steal that round from buzzing them? I didn't
- 8:16Speaker 1: give it to him, but it was close. It was
- 8:18Speaker 1: really really you could have gave it to him. And
- 8:20Speaker 1: then this is where Benevitez took over the fight and
- 8:25Speaker 1: ultimately this is where I think he won the fight
- 8:27Speaker 1: because I gave him the fifth to sixth, the seventh,
- 8:29Speaker 1: the eighth, and the ninth. You know, I thought that
- 8:35Speaker 1: Morrell kind of showed a little of his inexperience. There's
- 8:42Speaker 1: times where I would have liked to see him be
- 8:49Speaker 1: a more aggressive with his hands when he's up close,
- 8:53Speaker 1: or just get the hell out of there. You know.
- 8:55Speaker 1: There was times where he sat in that shell too much.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And once you start allowing Benevetez, when you just show
- 9:07Speaker 1: up like that and let him go to the body
- 9:09Speaker 1: and head, you're gonna get hurt. And so that's where
- 9:13Speaker 1: I think Morell got hurt to the body, whereas Benefite's
- 9:17Speaker 1: got hurt to the head in the fight. But that
- 9:21Speaker 1: fifth round, both both you know, like I don't know,
- 9:26Speaker 1: but both were you know, both were going to the
- 9:28Speaker 1: body really well, I thought, And early in the fifth
- 9:33Speaker 1: round I thought Morell was he was boxing pretty well,
- 9:37Speaker 1: but benevete skulled the round and you saw Morel and
- 9:42Speaker 1: the ropes more those body shots were just starting to
- 9:45Speaker 1: add up already. But Morell did land late. But yeah,
- 9:49Speaker 1: for sure, Benefite is same with the sixth I mean,
- 9:53Speaker 1: just laying hard to the body and then the I
- 9:56Speaker 1: think there was two left upper cuts. Now to his credit,
- 10:00Speaker 1: Morel did answer back with right hands, but the sixth
- 10:03Speaker 1: round close stronger. That was Benevetez. And then the job also,
- 10:10Speaker 1: that's another thing. We know Benavetez has a good job.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I do believe he's Morell has a good job, but
- 10:16Speaker 1: I don't think he was using it enough. You know,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I really thought that just setting some of that stuff
- 10:22Speaker 1: up would have been helpful. To be honest with you,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I that's my personal opinion, but I think that would
- 10:30Speaker 1: have been helpful. But you know, credit to Benavetez because
- 10:34Speaker 1: his jab and bodywork was getting it in for sure.
- 10:40Speaker 1: You know, in the eighth round, Morell had these little moments,
- 10:43Speaker 1: but whether it was early or whether it's late, that
- 10:46Speaker 1: was Benevetez. The ninth round was very competitive. There was
- 10:52Speaker 1: times where Morel was firing back with clean shots, but
- 10:56Speaker 1: for the most part, Benavetez was just on low once
- 11:00Speaker 1: again on the body on the head, and it was
- 11:04Speaker 1: just like, dude, you gotta move. You know what I mean,
- 11:06Speaker 1: you have to move now. The tenth round, I thought
- 11:12Speaker 1: Morell he boxed fairly well. Again, didn't necessary didn't necessarily
- 11:21Speaker 1: close that round strong, because that's what well. Benevitez had
- 11:25Speaker 1: hit him with a couple of clean shots, but he did,
- 11:27Speaker 1: like the all he shuffle down the stretch there. I
- 11:30Speaker 1: thought that was a very close round. I gave the
- 11:34Speaker 1: eleventh to Morell. I thought he was landing better and
- 11:40Speaker 1: you know, it was a ten to nine round though
- 11:42Speaker 1: in the ten nine must system because he did it
- 11:46Speaker 1: was kind of like a trip tight, you know. I
- 11:51Speaker 1: guess you could say the wide stance, like he got
- 11:55Speaker 1: hit and then he also tripped on the foot, you
- 11:57Speaker 1: know what I mean, and he kind of had a
- 11:59Speaker 1: little bit. Benevidez has a little bit of wide stance
- 12:02Speaker 1: in general, but he kind of had. He even said
- 12:05Speaker 1: he was off balanced, you know, and you know, like
- 12:11Speaker 1: to Benevida's credit, he got up and started flirring, especially late.
- 12:16Speaker 1: But then speaking of late, there was a late clearly
- 12:18Speaker 1: a late punch, and there was a point deductive. So
- 12:22Speaker 1: that's why I say it's a ten to nine. I
- 12:25Speaker 1: thought Moreau won the round. He did score a knockdown,
- 12:28Speaker 1: whatever we think of it, and they said they they
- 12:31Speaker 1: saw the replay and they counted it. I think it
- 12:35Speaker 1: was because he got hit before he tripped, you know,
- 12:39Speaker 1: but it could have been called a trip really, you
- 12:42Speaker 1: know what I mean. They didn't show the knockdown replay
- 12:45Speaker 1: right away, which was a little weird. But either way,
- 12:50Speaker 1: it's only a one point instead of two point because
- 12:53Speaker 1: of the deduction. A lot of people just call that
- 12:56Speaker 1: a nine to eight, which it is if you're at home,
- 13:00Speaker 1: but if you're you're judging straight up, you know it's not.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And then the twelve man like like Benevete is you know,
- 13:10Speaker 1: combinations left hands, Morel throwing combinations back left hands to
- 13:17Speaker 1: the head as well. I thought Morell landed the better
- 13:23Speaker 1: shot in combination in the in there he was showing.
- 13:27Speaker 1: He showed heart the whole fight, but there was there
- 13:30Speaker 1: was a little flurry to the head and body the
- 13:33Speaker 1: last part, So maybe that's why you gave the twelfth
- 13:36Speaker 1: to Benefitez. I thought it was pretty close. There were
- 13:40Speaker 1: a few swing rounds here. I had it right around
- 13:43Speaker 1: eight to four. The lowest I could go is seven
- 13:49Speaker 1: to five, and you know, finding five clean rounds, that's
- 13:55Speaker 1: like really stewing it to Morrell. Now. I don't think
- 14:00Speaker 1: it was ten to two either, you know, so I
- 14:03Speaker 1: was cool with eight to four. Two of the judges
- 14:06Speaker 1: basically had that one fifteen one eleven, because that's one
- 14:11Speaker 1: sixteen win twelve. Now the one what was the other
- 14:16Speaker 1: on the eleven to one? Is that what it was?
- 14:19Speaker 1: Or was that ten to two? I gotta check again.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I think it was eleven to one. That that's bullshit,
- 14:25Speaker 1: like Morell only won one round, Like, come on, dude,
- 14:29Speaker 1: I thought that was a bad, bad, bad scorecard. I
- 14:33Speaker 1: really did. I did not, you know, let me let
- 14:37Speaker 1: me double check though, because I was watching it was yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 1: one eighteen went away, So that's obviously a point on
- 14:48Speaker 1: both sides. I definitely didn't see that. And obviously, you know,
- 14:54Speaker 1: I can be a little biased here, just like people
- 14:56Speaker 1: can be biased for for benefit is you know, it
- 15:00Speaker 1: is what it is. We're all biased to an extent.
- 15:03Speaker 1: But I really I thought Moreaul. I think Moreaul could
- 15:10Speaker 1: have made this a seven of five fight or even
- 15:12Speaker 1: more competitive fight just in general, had he had a
- 15:16Speaker 1: couple more solid wins going against solid competition, you know. Now,
- 15:25Speaker 1: Now I mean to say, well, if he had two
- 15:27Speaker 1: more tough twelve rounders, would he have beat Penomies. I'm
- 15:32Speaker 1: not saying that, you know. The only way we'll find
- 15:37Speaker 1: that out if let's say down the line, maybe a year,
- 15:43Speaker 1: two years, whatever, if there was a rematch, you know,
- 15:47Speaker 1: then then we could find out if if you know,
- 15:51Speaker 1: something would change in there. But overall, I was impressed,
- 15:55Speaker 1: you know, by the time this thing, like the first
- 16:01Speaker 1: bell rang, I mean, the last few days I saw
- 16:05Speaker 1: a lot of people saying Morel's gonna get his ass blooped.
- 16:09Speaker 1: You know, like he's too green, he's gonna get picked apart.
- 16:13Speaker 1: It's gonna be a whooping. It's gonna be it's gonna
- 16:16Speaker 1: be a punishment, you know. And I'm not saying he
- 16:18Speaker 1: didn't take punishment, right, but he definitely didn't get his
- 16:22Speaker 1: ass whooped, because you don't fight like that in the
- 16:27Speaker 1: last three rounds if you're getting your ass kicked, like
- 16:29Speaker 1: if it's a complete domination type of thing, you know.
- 16:33Speaker 1: So I do think that Benevetez showed the versatility, showed
- 16:41Speaker 1: the patients. I like that sometimes man, if he can
- 16:44Speaker 1: get close to you, he won't you know, swarm his
- 16:47Speaker 1: own punches, but he'll swm he won't like smother himself, right,
- 16:50Speaker 1: but he'll swarm the other guy. And he I mean
- 16:54Speaker 1: this guy, it's like he'll throw a bunch of punches,
- 16:57Speaker 1: but he doesn't need to throw a nine hundred one thousand,
- 17:01Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like he can win a
- 17:03Speaker 1: fight going forward or in the middle of the ring
- 17:10Speaker 1: and use fundamentals doing it. I mean chopping him down
- 17:13Speaker 1: to the body using his jab. You know, he's we
- 17:20Speaker 1: talked about how and we've talked about this for a while,
- 17:23Speaker 1: not just you know before Saturday's fight that he he
- 17:27Speaker 1: actually is a little bit better of an overall IQ
- 17:32Speaker 1: fighter that than given credit. He just is you could tell, man,
- 17:39Speaker 1: he's just like I said, he's just he's just got
- 17:42Speaker 1: a way of It's like he stocks you and sometimes
- 17:45Speaker 1: it will be rapid fire. Other times he's just wearing
- 17:49Speaker 1: you down, wearing you down. He's got a good shin. Obviously,
- 17:52Speaker 1: both these guys got a good chin. But yeah, I
- 17:56Speaker 1: just thought it was a really spirited fight, fun fun fight,
- 18:03Speaker 1: and I think David Morell has a bright future. I
- 18:07Speaker 1: really do him. Like I said, you know, I've seen
- 18:09Speaker 1: him fight multiple times. He's fighting out in Minneapolis. Obviously
- 18:13Speaker 1: I can have some biases there, but I don't know
- 18:17Speaker 1: like if he can somehow. You know, there's just times,
- 18:22Speaker 1: like I said even before the fight, that he's looking
- 18:25Speaker 1: for one great shot and instead of scoring and winning
- 18:30Speaker 1: the ROMs. Sometimes he did that in this fight, other
- 18:34Speaker 1: times he didn't. And I thought, so I thought, And
- 18:38Speaker 1: there was just times where he's getting too close to
- 18:40Speaker 1: him too without you know, protecting himself enough, or like
- 18:46Speaker 1: I said, you're in that shell and then you're just
- 18:48Speaker 1: getting tore up. You know, you don't want to sit
- 18:51Speaker 1: in a shell that long. Now, I understand that it's
- 18:54Speaker 1: easy for me to say that, you know, definitely easy
- 18:58Speaker 1: for me to say, hey, don't show up, man, what
- 19:00Speaker 1: are you doing? But he needed to either move it. Basically,
- 19:04Speaker 1: I kept saying, move something, dude, just move something, whatever
- 19:08Speaker 1: it is, move it your feet, your head, your hands,
- 19:12Speaker 1: you know, jab more whatever, just just do it more.
- 19:16Speaker 1: And don't get me wrong, I mean, I believe if
- 19:19Speaker 1: I remember the punch stats, I think he did out
- 19:22Speaker 1: throw them. But like I said, I would have liked
- 19:26Speaker 1: to see the JAB be more active, definitely. I think
- 19:31Speaker 1: that was like one of the biggest issues. And then yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 1: just having just having a little bit more you know,
- 19:41Speaker 1: IQ in their little bit more heads up stuff in
- 19:45Speaker 1: strategy and staying on the game plan. And there was
- 19:49Speaker 1: times when Ronnie was saying, hey, you got to back
- 19:51Speaker 1: them up a little bit, and sometimes he did it.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Sometimes he did and I didn't think you were going
- 19:56Speaker 1: to make a living off backing him up, obviously, But yeah, man,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I really like the fight. I thought it was a
- 20:04Speaker 1: great fight. John should be coming on here soon, so
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'll kind of hold off on talking it too much more.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Oh here, he is, right, now let me see if
- 20:14Speaker 1: I can get him in here. My computer has been
- 20:17Speaker 1: acting up a little bit. Okay, there we go. All right,
- 20:23Speaker 1: we're gonna get John in here. Should be popping in
- 20:27Speaker 1: kind of soon. Here we go. But yeah, I mean
- 20:32Speaker 1: just a hell of a fight. And hey, what's going on?
- 20:36Speaker 2: John?
- 20:36Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 20:37Speaker 2: How's it going?
- 20:38Speaker 1: It's going pretty good, Man, going pretty good. I'm just
- 20:41Speaker 1: kind of breaking down, you know, the main event just
- 20:45Speaker 1: got into kind of breaking this stuff down. Shoot, yeah,
- 20:49Speaker 1: I'm having I'm having some computer issues. I think it's
- 20:53Speaker 1: time to get a new computer. I just think it
- 20:55Speaker 1: is you know, when you go you get it fixed,
- 20:57Speaker 1: and you're like, oh, yeah, that's fine.
- 20:59Speaker 2: You know, you never want to reach that point. So
- 21:04Speaker 2: sometimes that's just what it is.
- 21:07Speaker 1: And it's just like it's like it pretty much does
- 21:10Speaker 1: what I need to do. But then there's times where
- 21:12Speaker 1: you're like, okay, I guess that's not gonna work right now. Anyway,
- 21:16Speaker 1: I was just about to get into the code feature,
- 21:18Speaker 1: but I do want to hear well, first and foremost,
- 21:22Speaker 1: how you doing. And second of all, let's just talk
- 21:26Speaker 1: about that, uh, that that main event, because you know,
- 21:31Speaker 1: MORELL got off to a good start then Benevite's looked like,
- 21:35Speaker 1: you know, he was gonna completely run away with it.
- 21:38Speaker 1: On my card, I had the fifth through ninth where
- 21:41Speaker 1: you couldn't I don't think you could really dispute any
- 21:45Speaker 1: of those rounds where before that and after that I
- 21:48Speaker 1: think there was some some swing stuff in there. But
- 21:51Speaker 1: from the fifth round to the ninth it looked like, Okay,
- 21:55Speaker 1: here we go that Benavitez is gonna break him down.
- 21:57Speaker 1: He's probably gonna stop him. He was attacking the box really,
- 22:00Speaker 1: really well. I did think Morell stayed in front too long,
- 22:05Speaker 1: stayed in the ear muff mode, kind of showed up
- 22:08Speaker 1: at times where he probably should have just moved. But
- 22:11Speaker 1: the spirit he showed down the stretch of that fight
- 22:14Speaker 1: tells me a lot about them. But what are your
- 22:16Speaker 1: thoughts on on the main event as we get down.
- 22:19Speaker 2: To the rest of this car, John, Yeah, it ended
- 22:22Speaker 2: up being a It ended up being a great fight,
- 22:27Speaker 2: one of those fights you get once in a while
- 22:29Speaker 2: where it's competitive, but but one one guy's taking most
- 22:34Speaker 2: of the rounds, so not not a not great fight
- 22:40Speaker 2: in the sense where it ends and we're saying, well,
- 22:42Speaker 2: what's this decision.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Going to be? Right?
- 22:45Speaker 2: Fight? That despite that, and it can't and that can't
- 22:48Speaker 2: happen in boxing, it doesn't that much, but where it's
- 22:51Speaker 2: just so competitive throughout, it's still a great fight. And
- 22:55Speaker 2: I think in this fight what was slightly underrated was
- 22:58Speaker 2: you know, ad midtally in the elect when Morell got
- 23:02Speaker 2: the knockdown, and I think that was technically the right call.
- 23:05Speaker 2: When I was watching it live, it looked to me
- 23:09Speaker 2: like a better shot than it did on replay. Yes,
- 23:14Speaker 2: I'll say that. But with that said, I agree with
- 23:17Speaker 2: you one hundred percent. What I thought Morell did in
- 23:21Speaker 2: that round was kind of what I was waiting for
- 23:23Speaker 2: him to do in the fight. And I don't think
- 23:26Speaker 2: it was necessarily that, you know, he wasn't willing or
- 23:31Speaker 2: things like that. It's just that Benavitez was that good.
- 23:34Speaker 2: But but I agree, you know, one hundred percent with
- 23:37Speaker 2: what you said. The fighting spirit of Morrel I thought
- 23:40Speaker 2: in that eleventh round, which was really impressive to me,
- 23:45Speaker 2: not only the heart part, but also that he in
- 23:48Speaker 2: the eleventh round and I was waiting all fight to
- 23:50Speaker 2: see if maybe he could do that, and he showed
- 23:52Speaker 2: he could. He went after Benavidez like in the fights
- 23:57Speaker 2: where he'd been blowing people out lately, Yes, I want
- 24:00Speaker 2: to be entertaining, and he was looking really impressive, knocking
- 24:04Speaker 2: people out easily and quick. And I thought in the
- 24:07Speaker 2: eleventh he turned that on on Benavetez. And to me,
- 24:11Speaker 2: one of the part that's been underrated about the fight
- 24:14Speaker 2: is I think it's being underrated because Benavitez came back
- 24:18Speaker 2: so well in the twelfth and to his credit, showed
- 24:20Speaker 2: a lot of heart and recuperative powers. But I don't
- 24:24Speaker 2: think it's an exaggeration either, I thought to me, for
- 24:28Speaker 2: for a couple of real brief moments there in the eleventh,
- 24:32Speaker 2: it looked like ben Evitez was on the verge of going.
- 24:34Speaker 1: He was a little FROs Yeah, I like, whoa hold on?
- 24:39Speaker 2: You know, I thought it wasn't. I thought it wasn't
- 24:41Speaker 2: many good shots.
- 24:43Speaker 1: You know, away from something, away.
- 24:45Speaker 2: From something very dramatic, you know, Morell he did drop him,
- 24:50Speaker 2: you know, technically, but a big knockdown or stopping him.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I I but and then I thought, oh wow, it's
- 24:55Speaker 2: going to be a big twelfth. But you know, again,
- 24:59Speaker 2: not not a heart. It's just that, you know, Morell
- 25:01Speaker 2: had expended so much trying to get him out in
- 25:05Speaker 2: the eleventh, and Benavidez, to his credit, had the heart
- 25:08Speaker 2: to bounce back that he regained control in the twelfth
- 25:13Speaker 2: and you know, clearly came back and took the twelfth.
- 25:15Speaker 2: But I thought that was dramatic and real exciting. And
- 25:18Speaker 2: you know, as I posted on X afterward, it reminded me,
- 25:22Speaker 2: and I said, the seventies, but it could have been
- 25:23Speaker 2: the very early eighties too. It reminded me of that's
- 25:28Speaker 2: generally considered the best light heavy era of all time,
- 25:32Speaker 2: and it reminded me of a fight from that era,
- 25:36Speaker 2: you know, that kind of you know, some some talented
- 25:38Speaker 2: guys that were just willing to brawl away. And so
- 25:43Speaker 2: the main event in that sense was a success. I
- 25:46Speaker 2: do agree with the you know, assessments that kind of
- 25:50Speaker 2: both guys won. I think Benavitez took a risk that
- 25:54Speaker 2: I'll say I thought he wouldn't take. I just thought
- 25:56Speaker 2: I was in that camp. I thought the the risk
- 25:59Speaker 2: reward wasn't there, and who knows, you know, maybe it was.
- 26:03Speaker 2: It wasn't, but he took the chance and we got
- 26:06Speaker 2: a big win. So he moved up in everybody's eyes. Clearly,
- 26:11Speaker 2: if Turkey al Chic wants to follow through with it,
- 26:14Speaker 2: which I think he does. I mean, some people were saying, well,
- 26:16Speaker 2: if Benavidez wants it. I think Benavidez wants it. I
- 26:19Speaker 2: think he'll take it. You know, the winner of better
- 26:23Speaker 2: Beev Bevall later this month. Yeah, and on that, you know,
- 26:29Speaker 2: we'll wait and see what happens in that fight, but
- 26:31Speaker 2: they are kind of interconnected because of the possible future matchup.
- 26:35Speaker 2: And these are you know, top guys in the division.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Morele proved he's certainly a top ten like heavyweight. You know,
- 26:43Speaker 2: I'm in the camp on the fight later in the
- 26:47Speaker 2: month on the twenty second where I wasn't crazy about
- 26:51Speaker 2: Beval getting the rematch. I know a lot of people
- 26:54Speaker 2: in form in the first fight, but I thought he
- 26:57Speaker 2: got edged out. To me, it was clear even though
- 27:01Speaker 2: it was close, and you know, Bival reverted to his
- 27:07Speaker 2: yeah problems which.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Rounds too, yes, last rounds, Like, hey man, it was
- 27:13Speaker 1: there for you to try to take it, and it
- 27:15Speaker 1: didn't seem like you wanted to take it right.
- 27:17Speaker 2: And there were people, you know, not all but that
- 27:20Speaker 2: there were people that you know, commentators, writers, people that
- 27:23Speaker 2: follow the sport closer were like, hey, I don't want
- 27:25Speaker 2: to see this guy again, you know, getting the shot,
- 27:28Speaker 2: and that was seemed to be initially what better. Bev
- 27:32Speaker 2: was saying too in his camp, but then they reversed
- 27:34Speaker 2: and I got to assume that, you know, that to me,
- 27:40Speaker 2: really is the saudis that they decided, you know, Turkey Alschek,
- 27:44Speaker 2: that's the fight that they wanted, you know, after thinking
- 27:46Speaker 2: about it, because they were seeming like they might be
- 27:48Speaker 2: going in the other direction too, and then it just
- 27:50Speaker 2: seemed to all kind of change, right, and I saw
- 27:53Speaker 2: some people saying and who knows, you know, the zones
- 27:55Speaker 2: heavily involved that I don't know if there's any evidence
- 27:58Speaker 2: for this, but that you know, just Hern wanted his guy,
- 28:02Speaker 2: you know, right, just pushing for his guy to get
- 28:05Speaker 2: another shot, you know, bevall, he wanted his guy getting
- 28:09Speaker 2: another shot, and that was it and they got it.
- 28:11Speaker 2: So anyway, not to divert.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Twenty nice off the top, you know what I mean?
- 28:15Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, exactly right, And that's a factor too. But
- 28:18Speaker 2: getting back to Saturday night, certainly, you know, we can
- 28:22Speaker 2: break down other parts about it and the overall value
- 28:26Speaker 2: of the card for the price, but the main event
- 28:30Speaker 2: did deliver.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt about it, and you know, at least
- 28:34Speaker 1: we're getting it fairly quick too. You know, they didn't
- 28:37Speaker 1: fight all that long ago, you know, really especially for
- 28:41Speaker 1: for nowadays, you know how the fight schedules are. And
- 28:47Speaker 1: you're right, you know, we've been just as far as
- 28:49Speaker 1: Benevitas taking this risk knowing that in two years maybe
- 28:53Speaker 1: this would be a bigger fight or whatever. You know,
- 28:57Speaker 1: we're just programmed to just kind of think that way,
- 29:00Speaker 1: because why get your hopes up for something that's not
- 29:03Speaker 1: gonna happen, you know what I mean. So I think
- 29:05Speaker 1: we are kind of programmed to just assume that, and
- 29:08Speaker 1: you know, it does make sense, and in two years
- 29:10Speaker 1: it's not like getting be like oh it's too late
- 29:12Speaker 1: or you know, nothing like that. But usually you don't
- 29:14Speaker 1: get that fight at the time, like hey e strew it,
- 29:19Speaker 1: you know, especially with that you know, Saudi money around it,
- 29:22Speaker 1: and they could just milk benefit is he's I mean,
- 29:26Speaker 1: he did a really large gate, you know at that fight.
- 29:30Speaker 1: It's not like morell brings in a bunch. I mean,
- 29:33Speaker 1: I'll say that though. It was pretty funny when the
- 29:36Speaker 1: Cubans were saying Kuba coo and then they just got booed.
- 29:40Speaker 1: The Mexicans just took him over. It was hilarious that.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Something good, you know, to have a you know, that's
- 29:47Speaker 2: part of the car that I was getting the feeling. It's, yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 2: it's maybe a nostalgia over the last ten years or
- 29:54Speaker 2: so you get you know, you in the present and
- 30:00Speaker 2: the fact that you know, it's it's more of a
- 30:03Speaker 2: US sensibilities fight in Vegas, uh, with you know, familiar
- 30:08Speaker 2: PBC commentators and and uh, you know production. You know,
- 30:13Speaker 2: they didn't shweak too much in Amazon. I mean, you
- 30:16Speaker 2: certainly don't heal the showtime, but just saying there's a
- 30:18Speaker 2: there for long time US fans and which is mostly
- 30:23Speaker 2: of course at this point of course, Uh, there's there's
- 30:25Speaker 2: kind of a kind of a comfort there with the
- 30:27Speaker 2: whole atmosphere, the whole thing. Yeah, I don't know if
- 30:31Speaker 2: it's going to keep being sustainable where it's at, but yeah,
- 30:37Speaker 2: you got that kind of overall comfort, which includes the crowd,
- 30:40Speaker 2: you know, includes the crowd and and things like that.
- 30:43Speaker 2: So uh, you know, certainly US boxing that really can't
- 30:48Speaker 2: be any dispute. They're getting very little of that right now.
- 30:51Speaker 2: And of course you know Morel's Cuban, but he's been,
- 30:53Speaker 2: you know, fighting out of your area, you know, Minneapolis
- 30:56Speaker 2: and the US, so you know, he's established a American
- 31:01Speaker 2: sensibility type of presence, and you know, Benavidez, you know American,
- 31:06Speaker 2: you know, has the has the Mexican heritage on one
- 31:11Speaker 2: side of the family, so you know you have that.
- 31:13Speaker 2: But good, the good, good main event, you know, good
- 31:17Speaker 2: good US sensibilities. That was definitely the big plus of
- 31:24Speaker 2: the evening.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I think, yeah, and I did see some people and
- 31:29Speaker 1: obviously I would have a minor I just admitted it
- 31:33Speaker 1: earlier when I break it down round around that there
- 31:36Speaker 1: might be a minor biased in there, you know, for
- 31:39Speaker 1: Morele for me, you know what I mean. But overall,
- 31:42Speaker 1: I do think I've heard some people that were over
- 31:45Speaker 1: the top for Moreau or I really just think it's
- 31:48Speaker 1: they're like Canelo fanboys, and they just anything to say
- 31:51Speaker 1: something about Benafitez, you know, because you know they're calling
- 31:56Speaker 1: saying that, oh, he'd be to eleven fight prospect and
- 31:59Speaker 1: that type of thing. But clearly in the ring he
- 32:02Speaker 1: showed he's more than the prospect. But I did hear
- 32:06Speaker 1: some people saying let's see it again, and I thought,
- 32:09Speaker 1: you know, maybe in two years. You know, sure I
- 32:12Speaker 1: morele bring builds back and gets enough energy and momentum. Yeah, sure,
- 32:17Speaker 1: you know, then we can see him, you know maybe,
- 32:20Speaker 1: but you know, I it was kind of how you
- 32:22Speaker 1: described it where it was easy to score as far
- 32:25Speaker 1: as who won very cleanly. Like I said, there may
- 32:29Speaker 1: have been around, you know, two rounds where you're like, uh,
- 32:31Speaker 1: maybe I'll watch that round again and have a different opinion,
- 32:34Speaker 1: but you knew who won, you know what I mean. Now,
- 32:37Speaker 1: I didn't think it was eleven to one like that Jones,
- 32:40Speaker 1: that was ridiculous. But I was fine with eight to
- 32:43Speaker 1: four ninety three. Whatever. But I I would I would
- 32:50Speaker 1: like to see Moreul come back within you know, it'd
- 32:53Speaker 1: be nice for him to get two more fights this year.
- 32:56Speaker 1: And just because now you know, it's it's interesting because
- 33:00Speaker 1: for a while it was tough to get people in
- 33:02Speaker 1: the ring with them because you kind of had to overpay, right,
- 33:05Speaker 1: or someone just go, dude, I'm in the rank, like
- 33:07Speaker 1: Shishkin or some other guys were like in a ranking
- 33:10Speaker 1: and they're like, I'm not messing up this. I'm right
- 33:13Speaker 1: in line for this. You know, there's no way why
- 33:15Speaker 1: would I do that? It wouldn't make sense, you know.
- 33:17Speaker 1: But now that he's got a loss, and you know,
- 33:21Speaker 1: hopefully he can get some solid opponents in the coming
- 33:25Speaker 1: years to really hone in everything and then maybe slightly
- 33:31Speaker 1: slight chance, but maybe there'd be a rematch, but it's
- 33:33Speaker 1: not something that needs to be this year or something
- 33:37Speaker 1: like that, you know what I mean. But I hope
- 33:39Speaker 1: that we do get well, especially if you know, I think,
- 33:44Speaker 1: but Turbiev would have to win obviously for that to happen,
- 33:49Speaker 1: because you know, if Befall wins, there's gonna be a trilogy.
- 33:52Speaker 1: But but yeah, Turkey did say that, he said this
- 33:56Speaker 1: prior to the fight, that whoever wins, he will be
- 33:59Speaker 1: saying them in fight to sit ringside.
- 34:03Speaker 2: So yeah, now, one right, one thing that so for
- 34:07Speaker 2: morele Yeah, one thing that could be ideal would be yeah,
- 34:13Speaker 2: right if Turkey Alashiki he already has shown which I like,
- 34:17Speaker 2: h I think he's I think he's right about this.
- 34:20Speaker 2: He's he's trying to put big the bigger fighters together,
- 34:24Speaker 2: light heavyweight above figuring that ultimately with boxing. Yeah, it's
- 34:29Speaker 2: nothing against the little guys, but if you're really gonna
- 34:34Speaker 2: build momentum.
- 34:35Speaker 1: For the sport, you make a death on those.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Fights between the bigger guys, the good matchups. I agree
- 34:43Speaker 2: with that. So if he's going to do that, Let's
- 34:46Speaker 2: say he wants to put Benavidez in with the winner
- 34:50Speaker 2: of you know, Better be Of and Bival. What would
- 34:53Speaker 2: be ideal if he was going to do that, would
- 34:57Speaker 2: have you know, because but I hate to admitute, but
- 35:01Speaker 2: you have to because it's reality. You know, the the
- 35:04Speaker 2: US fight depth just isn't what it used to, especially
- 35:09Speaker 2: in the higher weight So you know, I'm even used
- 35:12Speaker 2: to after decades of watching boxing where in the past
- 35:16Speaker 2: you'd say, well, you know, we don't need Morel to
- 35:20Speaker 2: prove himself fighting some European guy that's not that good.
- 35:25Speaker 2: It's not the case anymore. So, you know, so on
- 35:29Speaker 2: an undercart of a of a bet as Better BEV
- 35:34Speaker 2: if you know Turkey Aloschkh wants to cater to some
- 35:39Speaker 2: additional US sensibilities because Benavitez would be on the car
- 35:42Speaker 2: and he'd be going see ideally, you know that that's
- 35:47Speaker 2: where you that's where he could really be useful. Like
- 35:53Speaker 2: if we take Morell, a PBC guy, and you know,
- 35:56Speaker 2: maybe put him against a light heavy that Warren or Herne.
- 36:00Speaker 1: As yeah, yeah, something like that.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that that type of thing like that, that would
- 36:05Speaker 2: be ideal for that card. And not to get ahead
- 36:09Speaker 2: of ourselves because we've got stuff to talk about for
- 36:11Speaker 2: Saturday night, but it kind of fits, like you know,
- 36:15Speaker 2: it looks like for the fall, he's he's gonna go
- 36:19Speaker 2: with the Crawford Canelo. And what's interesting about that to me,
- 36:24Speaker 2: besides the fight itself, is now he's adding to it, saying,
- 36:29Speaker 2: and I'm doing it with us sensibilities. You know, it's
- 36:31Speaker 2: gonna be an Allegiant stadium, Yeah, yeah, Vegas. So that
- 36:37Speaker 2: shows to me, if that rumor's true, he owns the
- 36:41Speaker 2: ring now and if the ring's putting, if the rings
- 36:44Speaker 2: put it out there, he owns it. You gotta be thinking, like,
- 36:48Speaker 2: well it might be. So that to me is a
- 36:52Speaker 2: little shift for him because we he had that one
- 36:54Speaker 2: card and like you and I were saying, it kind
- 36:57Speaker 2: of didn't really do it. This this type of thing
- 37:01Speaker 2: he's talking about here, like this would be with the
- 37:07Speaker 2: diminished state the sports in especially in the US, this
- 37:09Speaker 2: would be like about as big of a US run
- 37:12Speaker 2: as you could make. You're taking Canelo, you know, Mexican,
- 37:16Speaker 2: but you know, lives in the US A lot of
- 37:18Speaker 2: the time, US sensibilities against you know, top American fighter
- 37:22Speaker 2: Terrence Crawford at this point, he's unded casuals.
- 37:27Speaker 1: See that forty one and oh and be like, oh, yeah,
- 37:29Speaker 1: he's the one who fought Spence all of a sudden.
- 37:32Speaker 2: You know, That's what I'm thinking too, And and I
- 37:34Speaker 2: think we're at a point where desperate times call for
- 37:38Speaker 2: desperate measures. I'm a little bit in the minority, but
- 37:41Speaker 2: you know I'm in I'm in favor of these things
- 37:43Speaker 2: at this point for the US, Like I mean, event
- 37:46Speaker 2: there's no yeah, people and people are outraged like well
- 37:50Speaker 2: the lead up and again it might be I mean yeah,
- 37:58Speaker 2: but you know what, if you're really trying to do
- 38:01Speaker 2: something with US sensibilities and get something going arguably right
- 38:08Speaker 2: here in twenty twenty five, there's not really two bigger
- 38:13Speaker 2: fights you could put together that are gonna like spread
- 38:16Speaker 2: out of the hardcore buy.
- 38:18Speaker 1: You would have to bring Mayweather back or something. You
- 38:20Speaker 1: know it, you know.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Exactly, because you know, Wilder's Wilder's heavyweight. But he's he's
- 38:27Speaker 2: about done. He's not a he's not on a on
- 38:31Speaker 2: a high point.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Anymore.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Isn't at a high point. You know, some people are
- 38:35Speaker 2: saying like, well you could put Wilder and with Jake Claw.
- 38:38Speaker 2: I was originally saying Canelo as now they're talking, but
- 38:41Speaker 2: then I last week said well, if that's not going anywhere,
- 38:45Speaker 2: I thought, well then do it with Usik. Go for
- 38:47Speaker 2: the bigger sport, try to get that revive. Yeah, said yeah,
- 38:52Speaker 2: but but my original was just, hey, Canelo's you know,
- 38:56Speaker 2: there might not be a US boxing star as big
- 38:58Speaker 2: as Canelo again in where we're at because it's fading
- 39:02Speaker 2: so much, right, so while he's still out there, take advantage,
- 39:07Speaker 2: and you know, especially if.
- 39:09Speaker 1: You hook up the undercard, because if you get just
- 39:13Speaker 1: using an example off of that Jake Paul Tyson thing,
- 39:16Speaker 1: I mean to have that cod feature which is gonna deliver.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I'm not saying they have a trilogy and they got
- 39:22Speaker 1: to fight now or nothing. I'm just saying if they
- 39:24Speaker 1: really hook up that undercard too, so the cashual could
- 39:29Speaker 1: be like, oh my god, holy, this is a good ad.
- 39:31Speaker 1: We haven't even got to the main event yet. You know,
- 39:34Speaker 1: I think that's part of reviving something is showing these
- 39:40Speaker 1: younger people, hey, this is a fricking fight because so
- 39:44Speaker 1: many people, you know, that actually got the app to work.
- 39:48Speaker 1: We're telling you about that. Both those fights. Actually right
- 39:51Speaker 1: before that fight, they were like, those were great fights
- 39:55Speaker 1: and oh my gosh, and tell me when that person's
- 39:57Speaker 1: fighting next type of stuff. So yeah, that would be
- 40:02Speaker 1: that would be something. But yeah, when I saw that
- 40:05Speaker 1: and then you hear like Jake Paul saying that he's
- 40:08Speaker 1: about to announce something, and you look at the date
- 40:11Speaker 1: and you're like, yeah, this is about the time when
- 40:13Speaker 1: Canelo announces his date.
- 40:15Speaker 2: You know, yeah, I'm okay, and I agree with you.
- 40:18Speaker 2: I think I thought one of the things that was
- 40:21Speaker 2: missed with the opportunity of Mayweather Pacquiao and Mayweather McGregor.
- 40:26Speaker 2: You know, now those are both within the last ten years.
- 40:31Speaker 2: They just they didn't put into the undercard at all.
- 40:34Speaker 2: I mean, you had some names like Hank was on one,
- 40:36Speaker 2: but you know, not a good opponent, and like, don't
- 40:40Speaker 2: miss that up if you're gonna do the Canelo Jake
- 40:43Speaker 2: Paul and even you know, Canelo Crawford, you know, don't
- 40:47Speaker 2: don't miss it, but especially Canelo Jake Paul, just for
- 40:50Speaker 2: the reasons you described, don't don't miss those opportunities. I mean,
- 40:53Speaker 2: Serranto Taylor two really did capture people's imagination attent. They're
- 40:59Speaker 2: going to fight a time, and I don't want him
- 41:01Speaker 2: to waste that. Like that needs to hy exposure opportunity,
- 41:05Speaker 2: not a cheap money grab where you put it on
- 41:08Speaker 2: some pay platform that's not really accessible to a lot
- 41:12Speaker 2: of people. Sure, the third fight, I mean that that
- 41:16Speaker 2: would be the sure worst thing boxing can do. So
- 41:20Speaker 2: whatever is going to be on the undercart, if this
- 41:22Speaker 2: Canalo Jake Paul happens could take advantage, I mean you
- 41:26Speaker 2: really need to take advantage. And to a lesser extent,
- 41:30Speaker 2: same for the Crawford Canalo. But I gotta figure if
- 41:33Speaker 2: Turkey ala Chik's doing the Crawford Canelo and he's making
- 41:36Speaker 2: this this big us sensibility thing that that he will
- 41:40Speaker 2: try to do something with that undercard.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Yeah, and if if money or revenues not the be
- 41:47Speaker 1: all end all, because obviously when we're talking about those
- 41:50Speaker 1: Boat Mayweather fights, you know those guarantees were healthy, you know,
- 41:54Speaker 1: so you're like, yeah, we're not going to put anything
- 41:57Speaker 1: into this damn under card because both these guys are
- 41:59Speaker 1: gonna make one hundred million up front. We gotta make sure.
- 42:02Speaker 1: But but you're right, those cars weren't good. But you
- 42:06Speaker 1: know the fact that they're talking about having it in
- 42:10Speaker 1: that stadium too, that's something that wouldn't happen because they
- 42:14Speaker 1: know that if they have fifteen thousand tickets, they can
- 42:17Speaker 1: jack the price and make more on the gate. A
- 42:19Speaker 1: lot of people don't understand the economics behind that, because
- 42:23Speaker 1: if you you know, if you put fifty thousand in
- 42:25Speaker 1: a stadium, you're gonna have to have the tickets a
- 42:28Speaker 1: lot cheaper. But if a revenue is not the ultimate thing, right,
- 42:33Speaker 1: because that's what we've been told with Turkey, then yes,
- 42:37Speaker 1: I mean having it in a stadium like that, that
- 42:40Speaker 1: would be big. And then if the undercar was like
- 42:43Speaker 1: I liked, I just like the energy of that.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, and even though it's not directly referenced, I
- 42:48Speaker 2: mean this is literally within the last time, just over
- 42:51Speaker 2: an hour, it is connected. Though you know, again there
- 42:57Speaker 2: was there were some crazy talk, and you can you
- 42:59Speaker 2: can hate it, or if you're somebody that for some
- 43:02Speaker 2: reason loves it, just what you had Trump saying in
- 43:05Speaker 2: the last hour or so, He's he's talking, he's referencing
- 43:10Speaker 2: the Saudis, he's saying wild stuff, and he's referencing the
- 43:13Speaker 2: Saudis though that they're great. You know, they want to
- 43:17Speaker 2: do great things. They want to make peace with Israel,
- 43:21Speaker 2: and you know, the leadership's great again, you know, as
- 43:27Speaker 2: over at the top as the stuff he was saying
- 43:30Speaker 2: tonight was if if, if he's following through, which he may.
- 43:39Speaker 2: He's not mentioning boxing directly, but we're we're talking about Turkey,
- 43:43Speaker 2: ahah sheep. They with a stadium deal in Alija, you know,
- 43:46Speaker 2: Allegiant Stadium for Cadello Crawford. What I'm saying is, certainly,
- 43:51Speaker 2: certainly the door is going to be open for him.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Like people that want to condemn the regime, I'm not
- 43:57Speaker 2: saying they're wrong, that's not my point. But my point,
- 44:02Speaker 2: even if you feel what's going on is not right,
- 44:05Speaker 2: the door, the door certainly looks like it's going to
- 44:08Speaker 2: be wide, wide open. So I think you know the
- 44:15Speaker 2: national and world news you were hearing in the.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Last hour, Well, the thing is Trump will take credit
- 44:21Speaker 1: for Turkey, though, you know, he'll find a way to
- 44:23Speaker 1: spin it like perfect you that was me that brought
- 44:26Speaker 1: him over there. Well, no, he's already over here. No
- 44:28Speaker 1: I brought him over here.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Well, I can easily say that. But let's face it though,
- 44:31Speaker 2: and again you this is where politics in the boxing
- 44:34Speaker 2: sport world are connecting. But it really is connecting. It's
- 44:37Speaker 2: not an exaggeration whatsoever. It's not a reach you had
- 44:40Speaker 2: this week. You know, it's being reported that top rank
- 44:45Speaker 2: in the WBC and others are having an emergency meeting
- 44:48Speaker 2: because Dana White and Turkey Aliaska.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Well, Dana White was appearing with Donald Trump on election
- 44:58Speaker 2: night there at the inauguration and playing a prominent role,
- 45:03Speaker 2: not not playing like a side yeah, I mean playing
- 45:07Speaker 2: an absolutely prominent role where he's getting referenced in national
- 45:12Speaker 2: news broadcast. So there's a damn direct tie with what
- 45:16Speaker 2: I'm talking about going on. So if that, if that
- 45:20Speaker 2: rumor is true that we saw this week, which it
- 45:22Speaker 2: very well might be, I mean that that that's a
- 45:25Speaker 2: guy that's got a direct avenue to Donald Trump, President Trump.
- 45:29Speaker 2: I mean Dana White. I mean, he's he's got direct access.
- 45:33Speaker 2: So it's it's not we're not reaching, We're not far
- 45:37Speaker 2: removed here at all. We're not reaching much. And and
- 45:41Speaker 2: you know that's certainly a big topic because that's where
- 45:45Speaker 2: I feel like, to their credit and I've always said
- 45:48Speaker 2: that and and Dana White even credit. You know, I
- 45:50Speaker 2: think that's why Al Hayman and PBC we're trying to
- 45:53Speaker 2: do ten years ago. You know, they just got too
- 45:57Speaker 2: much resistance. I mean, we as we've been talking about
- 46:01Speaker 2: for ten years. That's real. But here's what I'm saying now.
- 46:04Speaker 1: And I'm not.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Putting Al Hayman on the level of the Saudi regime,
- 46:11Speaker 2: quite the opposite. But what I'm saying, and.
- 46:13Speaker 1: That's what's funny about it, right, these dudes are ducking
- 46:16Speaker 1: all this, you know, what should be at least covered more.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Right when Al was just you know, I wouldn't say
- 46:23Speaker 1: a regular guy, but he's not. You know what they
- 46:25Speaker 1: all made him out.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Just an American business.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's some sort of wide ranging criminal or
- 46:32Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
- 46:33Speaker 2: You know, but what you're but what I'm saying that
- 46:35Speaker 2: I kind of don't like is like and that's why
- 46:38Speaker 2: I'm saying because I didn't like when they did it
- 46:40Speaker 2: to PBC. I understand there's competition, but like the sports
- 46:45Speaker 2: in Trouble, there's no doubt espect in the US. Like,
- 46:49Speaker 2: I'm not crazy about the idea of like top Plank
- 46:52Speaker 2: in the WBC or having an emergency meeting because Dana
- 46:56Speaker 2: White and the Saudis are going to do a boxing thing,
- 47:00Speaker 2: like you know, the WBC's the big part of the problem.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Well and Dana White for the last twenty years have
- 47:07Speaker 1: talked about the the corruptions and box r's like, well,
- 47:11Speaker 1: I mean, so you're gonna go through them, like what
- 47:13Speaker 1: is it? Yeah?
- 47:14Speaker 2: Yeah, not that they're not that it's a world purity
- 47:17Speaker 2: is not my point. It's just uh that No, I'm
- 47:20Speaker 2: just playing to the boxing part of the problem, not
- 47:25Speaker 2: saying we're dealing with necessarily great characters, but like it's
- 47:29Speaker 2: it's so desperate for something to be done. And you know,
- 47:33Speaker 2: I say it, and I've always said.
- 47:34Speaker 1: So you're looking for a Trump retweet on a pay
- 47:37Speaker 1: per view, what you're looking for?
- 47:39Speaker 2: I mean, I'm saying we're only one step away. I
- 47:42Speaker 2: mean right now, I mean, and what Trump's saying tonight,
- 47:49Speaker 2: we're we're one We're one away from a Trump reach
- 47:53Speaker 2: reachwheet here so.
- 47:55Speaker 1: And and he'll the things, He'll say, you know, I
- 47:57Speaker 1: was the best boxing guy in the and that, like
- 48:00Speaker 1: I could already heard.
- 48:03Speaker 2: That's like me, now, I'm not I'm with you there,
- 48:05Speaker 2: like you know, not not not saying not a fan overall,
- 48:10Speaker 2: but but that is the part that I'm Yeah, but
- 48:12Speaker 2: you got to be right separating it because I agree
- 48:16Speaker 2: some of the stuff I start, you know, of course,
- 48:18Speaker 2: a lot of it's very serious. But then there's other parts.
- 48:20Speaker 2: I have to keep from laughing. And it's said, like,
- 48:23Speaker 2: you know, he does it so much, you start you
- 48:26Speaker 2: do almost start laughing. And somebody in the New York
- 48:28Speaker 2: Times said that today too, that that is actually leading
- 48:30Speaker 2: to his success. No, that's the thing a couple of
- 48:33Speaker 2: weeks is that people do start laughing, you know, And
- 48:36Speaker 2: and I'm not a supporter, and I'm like kind of
- 48:39Speaker 2: laughing sometimes, Like you just see him saying, like, you know,
- 48:43Speaker 2: of course I was the biggest guy, you know, I was.
- 48:47Speaker 2: We're gonna make We're gonna make boxing again. It's gonna
- 48:50Speaker 2: be big ever. We've got day a Way, We've got people.
- 48:55Speaker 2: It's gonna be an amazing, amazing big people are coming
- 48:59Speaker 2: from ball Over.
- 49:00Speaker 1: We've been Hey, we might as well use him for something, right, Hey,
- 49:04Speaker 1: I'm taking advantage of that ship. He's it. There's nothing
- 49:06Speaker 1: we can do now he's in the damn White House.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Might well take advantage.
- 49:09Speaker 2: I'm kind of thinking crazy stuff tonight, and it's like
- 49:13Speaker 2: not to make light of that part of it, but no, no,
- 49:15Speaker 2: of course, but from a boxing part, I'm like, maybe
- 49:18Speaker 2: we could benefit, maybe we could benefit from this. I mean,
- 49:22Speaker 2: we're just about there. I mean when you see data
- 49:25Speaker 2: with Chic and what Trump's saying tonight, even though he's
- 49:27Speaker 2: not referencing boxing, but what he's saying about the saudi'st no,
- 49:31Speaker 2: just that you're You're just about that. Yeah, you're you're
- 49:34Speaker 2: You're about one step removed from the truth social posts
- 49:37Speaker 2: where we rescued, We rescued, boxing got a huge event.
- 49:42Speaker 1: He will do it all sports next.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean tonight he was talking about turning the
- 49:48Speaker 2: Gaza Strip into the unl into a riviera. So that's
- 49:52Speaker 2: what what point we're at with stuff going over?
- 49:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I heard a couple of those things. My mind
- 50:02Speaker 1: is traveling now, but I'm gonna stay here. I'm gonna
- 50:04Speaker 1: stay here, all right. So Stephen Fulton Figuarreoa figure O
- 50:10Speaker 1: Fulton right. Obviously, the fight itself was nowhere near the
- 50:15Speaker 1: competitiveness of the first fight. Fulton did his thing. He
- 50:23Speaker 1: shut down Figureoa, He countered the shit out of him.
- 50:27Speaker 1: It seemed like he had an answer whether he was
- 50:29Speaker 1: on the ropes or not. And figure oa, it just
- 50:35Speaker 1: he didn't look good. You have tried to make did
- 50:38Speaker 1: win some rounds and stuff, tried to make a run,
- 50:40Speaker 1: but it's like he just couldn't get his punches off.
- 50:44Speaker 1: He just looked like crap. And a lot of people
- 50:46Speaker 1: are already saying and actually Fulton said the same thing
- 50:49Speaker 1: that he needs to move up to one thirty. But
- 50:52Speaker 1: I don't know, you know, it's kind of like he's
- 50:55Speaker 1: already at one twenty. He just was at one twenty
- 50:57Speaker 1: two for a while. He's a one twenty six now,
- 50:59Speaker 1: so now it's just he hasked to move up. He'll
- 51:01Speaker 1: be fine, he'll be back to what he was. I
- 51:04Speaker 1: don't know about that. Maybe, you know, maybe we'll be
- 51:06Speaker 1: prove or I'll be proved wrong. But I gotta give
- 51:09Speaker 1: a lot of credit to Fulton. That is the thing
- 51:13Speaker 1: about boxing. There's times, I mean, styles make fights, of course,
- 51:16Speaker 1: but there's times like his last fight, You're just like,
- 51:20Speaker 1: you know, it really put a lot of a doubt
- 51:24Speaker 1: in our minds, the last two fights, really, but especially
- 51:26Speaker 1: the last fight because anyway is anyway, you know what
- 51:29Speaker 1: I mean. But this the last fight was like, really, wow,
- 51:33Speaker 1: I can't believe he didn't beat that guy cleanly, you know.
- 51:36Speaker 2: A guy that Pigueroa handled easily.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, exactly. And he and you know, maybe if
- 51:41Speaker 1: they find again to be better. But but he looked great.
- 51:46Speaker 1: He looked great. He looks like he's he's gonna, you know,
- 51:49Speaker 1: be great for the next couple of years. Where his
- 51:51Speaker 1: Figueroa just couldn't really get off, you know, I mean,
- 51:54Speaker 1: it was hard to give him realms after a while.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Really, you know, I mean I got the main event right,
- 51:59Speaker 2: but this one I got wrong. And you know, you
- 52:03Speaker 2: summed it up well, Chris. I mean, first of all,
- 52:05Speaker 2: you got to give Fulton credit. He didn't get he
- 52:08Speaker 2: didn't get sucked into brawling too much. He did his thing,
- 52:12Speaker 2: like you said, but you know, he one was in
- 52:14Speaker 2: a way. But still he looked bad against Castro, got dropped.
- 52:17Speaker 2: I mean, coming off two bad fights in a row,
- 52:20Speaker 2: what was shocking about this one? And and like you said,
- 52:23Speaker 2: nobody thought this was as good as the first fight.
- 52:25Speaker 2: A lot of people thought this was just a bad fight. Yeah,
- 52:28Speaker 2: and it wasn't even a good fight. And the first
- 52:30Speaker 2: one was a great fight. But the shock shocking what
- 52:34Speaker 2: I got wrong. That was a role reversal and is
- 52:36Speaker 2: just what you alluded to. And I agree one hundred
- 52:37Speaker 2: percent is not only did Figureoa lose now and I'd
- 52:41Speaker 2: look at it. I think you analyzed it perfectly. I've
- 52:44Speaker 2: got to see what happens coming up. But let's just
- 52:48Speaker 2: look at Saturday night. You know, of all my years
- 52:50Speaker 2: of watching boxing now, and I got this one wrong
- 52:52Speaker 2: going in. I mean, and but the odds makers did too.
- 52:56Speaker 2: They figured it a slight favorite, and I was laughing.
- 52:59Speaker 2: I saw lud Debelle lou de Bella put out after
- 53:03Speaker 2: the fight, although those odds were crazy, and I thought, yeah,
- 53:06Speaker 2: Louis you you you bet you bet so much money.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Being sarcastic, of course, you bet so much money on
- 53:12Speaker 2: Fulton that you're going to go buy your own private island. Now.
- 53:15Speaker 2: You know, the odds makers totally got this one wrong,
- 53:18Speaker 2: and you just took everything you owned and put it
- 53:21Speaker 2: on you know, Fulton, which is perfectly legal. Now, So
- 53:25Speaker 2: the point is we know that didn't happen, so shut up,
- 53:27Speaker 2: shut up, help tell us before the fight, Yeah, you know,
- 53:32Speaker 2: Fulton's going to dominate. The odds are crazy, but anyway.
- 53:36Speaker 2: So I had to bring that out though, because the
- 53:38Speaker 2: point was we didn't expect that going in. The odds
- 53:41Speaker 2: makers who know best didn't expect it. They had it close,
- 53:44Speaker 2: but they had figure Oa the favorite. But what I'm
- 53:46Speaker 2: getting to is figure Rowa. We thought it was a
- 53:50Speaker 2: possibility we were going to get this out of Fulton,
- 53:53Speaker 2: maybe even slightly likely that he was the shot guy
- 53:57Speaker 2: because it's the lower rates. He got knocked out and
- 54:00Speaker 2: then he'd looked bad. Figureo Wall looked to me like
- 54:04Speaker 2: a shot guy.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Yeah, didn't look good at all.
- 54:07Speaker 2: I mean, and he had been looking good before that,
- 54:09Speaker 2: but just Saturday night. So, like you said, Fulton said it.
- 54:13Speaker 2: I saw some people say because people can't figure out
- 54:15Speaker 2: that they're going to the weight, and that's what I mean.
- 54:17Speaker 2: We don't know, but I'm with you that I'm not
- 54:19Speaker 2: taking it as automatic. I mean, yeah, Bro started as
- 54:21Speaker 2: a bantam weight, so you know we're saying now he's
- 54:24Speaker 2: got to go up again. That that's why it wasn't
- 54:26Speaker 2: effect that he'd been looking really good up to this
- 54:30Speaker 2: point at featherweight or under his last few fights and
- 54:35Speaker 2: he and why I say that is because usually this
- 54:38Speaker 2: is right too. This is usually when a guy does
- 54:40Speaker 2: end up being shot and you're right about it. He
- 54:43Speaker 2: had that because I don't think I give Fulton credit.
- 54:46Speaker 2: He proved me wrong, but I don't think this was
- 54:48Speaker 2: all Fulton. Frankly, figure out had that fighting underwater? Looked
- 54:53Speaker 2: deck like guy. Guys in their thirties get like midg
- 54:57Speaker 2: but it's a lower weight. But guys in their mid
- 54:59Speaker 2: thirties getter, you know when they're in their thirties, Like
- 55:01Speaker 2: he can't trigger the punches, and yes that much when
- 55:06Speaker 2: he did, no, no, and just like real slow and yeah,
- 55:11Speaker 2: not that he what was real quick with that kind
- 55:16Speaker 2: of attack he was doing, but it was it just
- 55:18Speaker 2: looked awful and he looked like about he had all
- 55:21Speaker 2: the signs of a guy that was shot. Now we
- 55:24Speaker 2: we weren't expecting that going in. I can't see why
- 55:28Speaker 2: that would have happened all of a sudden Saturday, but
- 55:30Speaker 2: it's just what you said. We have to see now
- 55:33Speaker 2: what happens next. Like, I'm not going to rule out
- 55:36Speaker 2: that he is shot either, even though he's only like
- 55:37Speaker 2: twenty eight. But I'm not ready to I'm not ready
- 55:41Speaker 2: to bet the house and say, figure, oh, a shot,
- 55:43Speaker 2: you know, like yeah, on the Saturday night I was
- 55:45Speaker 2: rolling out. It turns out he's shot that that's going
- 55:47Speaker 2: a little too extreme too. But I'm not ruling that
- 55:50Speaker 2: out because he looks so bad and we don't have
- 55:52Speaker 2: a good explanation for it.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to prove it. You got to prove it.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Oh, he's gonna have to show me he's not done
- 55:59Speaker 2: in his next couple of fights. I would say if
- 56:02Speaker 2: he looks bad again. It happens sometimes in boxing, you know,
- 56:07Speaker 2: mm hmm, maybe maybe he's he's on the downslide. Not
- 56:11Speaker 2: not going to say it for sure, but just saying
- 56:13Speaker 2: he looked like a shock guy for whatever Saturday night.
- 56:18Speaker 2: I mean, he he had those signs. So really, Brandon Figureoa,
- 56:24Speaker 2: really really bad night for him, and he's gonna have
- 56:27Speaker 2: to show me in his next fight or two against
- 56:31Speaker 2: decent opposition that he's not done. It just he just
- 56:36Speaker 2: he just looked that bad.
- 56:38Speaker 1: At times, he was more looking more like Omar.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Well, that did come to my mind, and you know, thinking,
- 56:44Speaker 2: you know, I picked Brandon Figuerreoa and I didn't say this,
- 56:48Speaker 2: but it just crossed my mind a little. I didn't
- 56:50Speaker 2: think this was gonna happen, but you know when when
- 56:52Speaker 2: you're when you're trying to pick a close fight and
- 56:55Speaker 2: you're thinking, thinking, Maybelton's going to be the more faded guy.
- 56:59Speaker 2: It's his brother. He's a different person. But then again,
- 57:02Speaker 2: you know you couldn't help I mean I thought about
- 57:05Speaker 2: it a little, like what could go wrong here? Like, well,
- 57:08Speaker 2: Omar Figarola had a lot of talent, mh. You know,
- 57:12Speaker 2: his his drinking problems were well documented, So saying anything
- 57:17Speaker 2: that wasn't documented, I think you can say that that
- 57:21Speaker 2: did him in. And I'm not saying brand of Brandon
- 57:25Speaker 2: Figureoa has a drinking problem or anything. I'm just all
- 57:27Speaker 2: I'm just saying is real generally, and there are different people,
- 57:31Speaker 2: of course, But his brother was wasted potential. I mean,
- 57:35Speaker 2: I say in a boxing sense, so you know, cross
- 57:40Speaker 2: by a little like if, on the other hand, if
- 57:43Speaker 2: he does have any family similarities of his brother. And
- 57:46Speaker 2: I'm not saying I don't know what he does. I
- 57:48Speaker 2: don't know what Brandon Figureo does for his lifestyle or anything.
- 57:51Speaker 2: I'm not claiming it because I don't know. Yah crossed
- 57:55Speaker 2: my mind a little a little before the fight and
- 57:57Speaker 2: after that performance, right then you're thinking, like bad is
- 58:00Speaker 2: not going to be like.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Well, there was times where he had his his frame
- 58:04Speaker 1: was to the side like his brother, And that kind
- 58:07Speaker 1: of brought it to my mind when you were talking
- 58:09Speaker 1: about the underwater stuff, where it's just like he didn't
- 58:13Speaker 1: it didn't look good. It was just like, what the
- 58:16Speaker 1: hell is this? It took him forever just to cut
- 58:18Speaker 1: the distance.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 58:20Speaker 1: It's not like Fulton was on his bite the whole.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Time, exactly.
- 58:23Speaker 1: It's not right on the roads tearing them up, you know.
- 58:28Speaker 2: That's the thing.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Was comfortable the whole time, never stressed.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Really, It's not like Fulton was moving all over and
- 58:36Speaker 2: then making him miss and everything. It was just that
- 58:38Speaker 2: figure out was trying to do his usual thing, and
- 58:40Speaker 2: it just it just wasn't there. Yeah, he was, you know,
- 58:45Speaker 2: because as great as he was, and I thought he
- 58:47Speaker 2: won the fight. To me, the classic example of that
- 58:50Speaker 2: is because really his last turah was knocking out Mugabi
- 58:54Speaker 2: and it was such a war was Haggler against Leonner,
- 58:57Speaker 2: you know, Haggler all those rounds. First, he didn't do
- 58:59Speaker 2: anything early. Yeah, you know, even though I thought he
- 59:03Speaker 2: did enough to pull it out, like he was just
- 59:05Speaker 2: labor and he was he just looked like he was
- 59:07Speaker 2: fighting underwater, and you know, he was got a great
- 59:09Speaker 2: fighter and one of the greatest middleweights of all time.
- 59:13Speaker 2: And uh, you know, a guy who gave no quarter
- 59:15Speaker 2: to anybody, was always in shape, and I'm sure he
- 59:17Speaker 2: trained hard for that fight, but he just you know
- 59:19Speaker 2: that that's that That to me was the classic look
- 59:22Speaker 2: of somebody who's who's losing it like that. You know,
- 59:25Speaker 2: just Wayler was fighting that Leonard fight, and you know
- 59:29Speaker 2: I saw some of that at a I saw some
- 59:32Speaker 2: of that at a figure Row Saturday night.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and uh yeah, I mean Fulton, there's this video
- 59:39Speaker 1: after the NASEI uh cigar talk. Uh Nause does a
- 59:46Speaker 1: podcast recently. He's he's come into the boxing world. He
- 59:50Speaker 1: works in the music industry and uh he's he had
- 59:54Speaker 1: him on video Fulton after the face and I'll admit
- 59:57Speaker 1: I did pick Figaroa and full and just had this
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: cut his face like I told you.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: So, you know, I know Polon's got the right to
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: do that to me on this one too. That's what
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: I'm saying, Like he proved me wrong on this one.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: I'm giving him credit, but figure figure roll will look
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: bad beyond what Fulton was doing to him.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's fair. And then so if you
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: look at it, you have you know, nick Nick nick
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Ball is the one that a lot of people are
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: talking about. He may have some plans already laid. Obviously
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: you have Leo in this Binoza and there there are
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: some other fights for him. So there's plenty of fights
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: for really both of them at at at one twenty six.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: So hopefully Fulton the next few years he could really
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: advance his career and get back because we figure whoever
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: is gonna win this one's kind of gonna get back
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: into that position and go you know, and now, uh
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: so we'll see, we'll see where that goes out.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: Great, Chris, you if you wanted to say one positive
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: thing about the Turkey Ali chic thing, it's it's what
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: you did there. And of course you know you're you're
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: an ex expert boxing commentator and you know father Sport closely.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: But but that's that's one positive that Turkey al Sheik's
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: given us. Like if you and I were talking two
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: years ago right like that, we we'd be right and
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: other people be wrong. We'd be saying like, well, you know,
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Espinosa's with top rank full Yeah, that's not gonna happen.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: And you know, Leo just.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Saying on the side where the side is they got
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: to come over here, and.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: That's what we've been saying. So that's not gonna happen.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: And who could they cook up as an opponent that
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: PBC has. Right now we can realistically say as long
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: as Turkey al sheiks in the mix, yeah, yeah, that's
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: where it kind of helps everything, where right, you don't
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: have to have this fight happened Saturday night and then
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: you're you're only talking about Fulton fighting somebody PBC has realistically,
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: and the same for the other promotions. You know, now
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: you can you can realistically say just like you did,
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: which helps make all the divisions a bit more interesting
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: where you can say, hey, they you know, maybe Turkey
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Alshiko will put this together and it's it's real. I
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: mean it can it can happen. It can happen. He
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: as long as he's he's in it like he's been.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: I mean, you know, he could he could also leave
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: tomorrow an the way boxing goes, But as long as
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: he's in it, you can say, hey, those are good
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: matchups that could happen. I mean the first fight with
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Leo was good enough that I don't think anybody would
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: have a problem with seeing that.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Again, there's a great example of a guy working his
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: way back for a rematch right there, right, what Leo
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: has done with a big win. So he's worked, grind
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: his way back, grow box, all that stuff, and then
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: bam got his big win. And yeah, that that would
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: be more of a more blueprint to try to get
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: another shot at Benavitez. He's got a pro you know
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Right, That's why I'd like to see like Morell on
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: that undercard of a future.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: It makes a lot of.
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: Able to winter against like a Hern light heavyweight or
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: a Warren at light heavyweight. That would be to me,
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: that would be great and that would be interesting as
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: a fight fan to see. Okay, then like see, let's
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: see what Morell could do against one of these guys,
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Like you may even mentioned that Morel yard, Hey, that'd
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: be great.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: That'd be a great matchup. And that's exactly what Morell meets.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: And really, you know, we want as many fights as
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: we can here, that's obvious, right, We don't want to
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: end up like the UK there for a while, you know,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: But no shot, no no offense to the UK. They
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: they message me playing times saying, what the hell can
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: we get a fight here? You know, but those type
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: of fights at featherweight, no one. There's not a three
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: different guys that could sell a bunch of tickets. No,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: those fights going over SADI. If their quality fights, that's
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: not that big of a deal, you know what I mean,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: because it's like, hey, that works, you know. I mean
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Fulton fought one of his best fights here, you know,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: you know, a few years back, so it's not like
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: he's got a huge fan base, you know, So that'd
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: be just fine if they match those up, and yeah,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: we'll see you know where where figure Row goes. He
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: is definitely on the proven now. You know. We could say, oh,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: it's just a style. Yeah, but they've been in the
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: ring together, so you know, and now the counterpuncher, the
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: better overall boxer was Fulton. And so there are times
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: on the rematches, and this is something that I always
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: kind of go back a lot of times, the guy
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: who's the better overall boxer can pick back up and
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: do better in the rematch. You know, So maybe it
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: was just a we had something to do with that,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: but it is hard not to not to think that,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: uh you know, something's up a figure. Oh in the
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: outfit for Fulton, by the way, the tim the timberland.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: That that was great.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: That was great.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Wow, that looks good like its great.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Hey, that translates. I saw stuff on social media today
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: with that. It translates well in social media people shared
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: the things around. Now that that was creative and it
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: was very creative, great idea. Since he got a big
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: win in it. Oh that that ye helped. I mean,
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: those those kind of little things definitely help and uh yeah,
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: and we never quite seen that and it was yeah,
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: and uh it's it's gonna help him. He got a
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: big win where wearing wearing that, uh the gene shorts
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: and the timberland. Look, I'm sure he's going to be
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: known for that from here on out.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: So yeah, exactly.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: No, that that was a good thing.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: That was cool, and that that's that's really showing where
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: he comes from. And people do remember that. Like you said,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: all right, Cruz in Fierro, well, we got ourselves a
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: fight here. I mean these dudes were going at it
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: back and forth the whole freaking time. Right when you think,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: oh man, Cruise is in trouble. He come back. Oh
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: now Cruise has got him in trouble, and it was
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: just it was about as good as fight as we
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: could get out of that matchup. I thought. I thought
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Pierro definitely, I thought he'd give a good account for himself,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: but I wasn't seeing that good of an account where
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: he could give him that many rounds and he actually
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: had Cruz hurt. What'd you think of that fight?
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, I think it. You know, it was
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: what PBC wanted out of the fight and was looking for.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: But with your assessment that I think Fierro gave a
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: little more than I thought he would. It seems like everybody,
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: I don't think they were a little bit back. But
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: now everybody is correctly catching on to the idea that
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: you know, with Cruise, it's mostly gonna come down to
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: how tall the guy he's fighting is.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: I'm surprised it wasn't talked about more, maybe because it's
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: not a second see a matchup as it was since
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Cruz lost the decision to Valezuela. But again, but you know,
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: if you take the flip side of that same perspective,
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: he's always gonna give Tank trouble. I think, sure, Tank's
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: not tall, right, you know, Cruz can punch at that
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: even level. So I'm still not and your cruise has
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: been staying at one forty. I agree with him at
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: his height, question the wisdom of that, but he is,
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: you know it is it gonna be end up where
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Tank's gonna you know, Tank's gonna fight him there. I mean,
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: it still could end up happening again that rematch.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: You and I kept saying it. It's talks cool down,
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: but it could heat up again. I mean, I think
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: they know that. I'm gonna say it because I think
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: it is. I mean, Tank Lamont roach is a dog.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: We don't need it. Uh So they're saying, oh, it's
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: gonna be all big after this, you know that. That's
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: like what Aram always does, Hern always does, and you know,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: doing on that one, like oh, you know, take this
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: one and then it's all gonna be it's all gonna
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: be big after you buy this one. I don't, but
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: I don't know who they got in, you know, like
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: they're they're they're kind of throwing fights out there, and
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: I'm like, it would take Turkey Alaisk to make the fight.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: He might but that's not a guarantee. So, like what
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: I'm getting at is, like, if if there's still a
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: step away from Tank doing a fight with Turkey Alashk involved,
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: maybe it is going to have to be Pitbull in
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: the rematch at some point, because you know, Roach it's
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: gotta it's got a chance that well, you know, Tank's
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: usually gonna provide some entertainment because he knocks people out.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: But Roach's style, per se is not going to necessarily
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: bring a great fight either, as long as you.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I think Roach is being undervalued, but it doesn't
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: mean I call it a great fight. You know. I'm
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: kind of right in between where I'm like, well, you
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: can't say that stuff about Roads, he's not that bad.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: But then at the same time, I can't tell you
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: and be like, oh, this is top ten matchup of
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: the year or something like that. But you're right, stylistically,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I do think he can calm it down for a
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: little bit and not take huge shots for a while
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: in that fight. And and we know Gervonte takes his
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: time a lot of times.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not high volume. Yeah you were thinking his
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: style he would be, but he's not not at all
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: low volume.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: So yeah, it could be some some swing type rounds
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: early on, like you know, many of us fights. Yeah,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: the what I'll say is, like, I guess Shakur would
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: be one of those guys.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: That's what they were mentioning. But right, you know that
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: that's gonna take Turkey sheet to make it.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Well, he is getting Turkey money now, so that that does.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: But I'll say this, none of these guys in that
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: weight class, besides like Ryan Garcia, have gotten some kind
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: of crazy check though either it's not like they've gotten
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: fifteen or twenty million or something like some of these
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: bigger like the heavyweights and all that. Some of those
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: even if it's half the amount they reported as it's like,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: oh my god, Yeah, that's gonna be tough to because
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: nobody's gonna risk that money. But some of these guys
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: haven't gotten that. And that's why the Loma fight was
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: so important I thought for this weight class, because it
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: was like, and we've talked about how he's a perfect
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: B side for him. Yeah, and ultimately we'll see, you
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: know how that that comes off. But yeah, that was
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: a great fight. And yeah, Cruizes is still around, no doubt.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: That's the thing. Like things just sell like. It doesn't
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: mean we're saying, oh, I can't wait for that fight,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: it's just it's gonna sell them like that. It for
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: sure is gonna sell, just like we talked about two
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: other fights, you know with Canelo. Right, you know, do
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: I think like that's a great fight on paper, No,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: but it is going to sell, you know, and not
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: look at what's gonna sell right and Jake Paul is
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: it is one of those times where a real boxer
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: does kind of like you said about who'sick needs to
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: take his ass out?
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's one thing Jake Paul has done well at.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: Like we're at a point now it used to be
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: it was with the m M a guy with real boxers,
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: like you're getting people, a lot of people get sick
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: of them enough they're like, hey, I want to see
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: a real boxer take this guy out. And I think
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: that ground swell is really building. Yes, the perfect opening
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: for for a Canalo.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: I don't mean they want to almost a guy sixty
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: years old try to take him.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Out, so they I can't wave Cadel for taking out
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: what you know, it's silly, but I'm still gonna say
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: it because there's people that can't make the distinctions. There's
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: gonna be people that get two colt even boxing people
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: who should know better start They're not saying it now,
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: but as the fight gets closer, they're gonna start saying,
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: I don't know Jake Paul's you.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Know, he can keep going on distance. He's got top
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Two hundred pounds, two hundred he's got just to the weight.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: And you know, Jake, we didn't see him fight Tommy
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: Fury or something, you know exactly they get right, They can't.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: They can't get back to the image of a fighting
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Tommy Fury right Like they're gonna like, oh.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: He's way better now, he's better down.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Canelos took power?
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: You know he didn't he did? Yeah, we all saw it.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: It's like, I guess is a lot smaller than than
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: Tommy Fury, And yeah, I can just see it. I
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: could see like they're not now, but I could see
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: people who should know better in like April, if that
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: flight's happened to me, he starting to talk that way.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: That would be crazy. Just looking at the calendar now,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: twenty twenty five, ten a decade later from Mayweather Pacoo,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: a huge, huge fight would be freaking Canelo and Jake Paul. Like,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: I've always given credit to Jake Paul for certain things,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: you know, And he did say this two years ago.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: He's gonna fight Canelo. He said it now the way
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: he said it was, I'm gonna beat five guys, real body,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: you know. But all that shits out the window. It
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: doesn't really matter if you get the canelofight, you get
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: the Canello fight. But I do gotta give him credit. Man,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: if he gets this fight, it's just like, wow, dude,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: you finessed your way, and good for you, dude, you know, like.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: Wow, purely purely marketing. But whenever I feel bad, and
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: this is something you can say to the younger fans
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: or don't let the older fans may make you feel
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: too bad. I mean, Pete Ronimacher fought for the heavyweight
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: title again. I mean his first pro fight off the Olympics.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: Butter Bean used to be on undercards.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Tam was out under cards. I mean, this happens.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Let's not act like weird shit hasn't been.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: I mean that's where boxing has a weird charm as
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: long as real real seriously, right, yeah, yeah, you're always
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: taking the risk in boxing so take brain damage. But
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: you know what I mean by that, Like, yeah, no,
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: you're right, it doesn't go bad like that. There's a
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: long history, you know in boxing of these kind of things.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: I mean even even at the time, like when you
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: had you know, middleweight. I mean, look, we were talking
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: the early night, you know, first decade of nineteen hundreds,
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: and you had Stanley Ketchall fighting Jack Jack Johnson, you
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: middle Wait, they wanted to take on Jack Johnson, you know,
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: heavyweight and uh, you're Johnson's besting are out and he
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: gets dropped and banned. He decides to turn turn it one.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: Catch a lot with you. So you've had fights, you know.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Now maybe they're not.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Wrestling bear and stuff like that back in the day.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: There's bunch of these things have existed in boxing. It's
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: probably the weird, weird charm of boxing. So and in
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: the US we really need it. So I'm like, let's
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: let's do it and hope nobody gets seriously hurt, and
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: hope we at least I mean, if we, it won't
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: be quite as high because Mayweather did such a great job,
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: you know, with his popularity and you know Pakia was popular, Like.
- 1:15:16Speaker 4: It's not going to get quite on that level, but
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: it is. Yeah, I mean I'm like thinking, like if
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: Canelo Paul can can at least approach a Mayweather Pakia
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: or a Mayweather McGregor level.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: It's not going to get to that level, but at least,
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: like you know, do a spike at least closer to that. Yeah,
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: and I'll take that and then let Canelo have Crawford. Yeah,
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: maybe that fight is not perfect like that either, but
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: but it could also lead to a big year for
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: US boxing.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Yeah. And like we said, the undercard stuff, we could
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: you could literally, you know, throw your career off the undercard.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: Yeah. They just need to take advantage that.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yep. And and another thing, now, the quality of
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: stealing a stream compared to ten and fifteen years ago,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: Like even if it did one point five million, that
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: means a lot more people because a lot more people
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: stream it now, you know, so even if they're not
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: paying for it, just the whole everything around it, you know, worldwide,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Really it would have a lot of eyeballs on it,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: no doubt about it. So the first fight, Ramos against Rosario,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: obviously Rosario, I know he was mad that, you know,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: how the fight stopped, and I get it. I respect him.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: You know, he could have He probably could have kept going,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: but you know, we knew going in this is just
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: and they didn't say it as many times as I
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: thought they would. The un to spit the former Unified,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: you know, they said it, but they didn't. They didn't
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: go over the top with it.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: But that's the worst part about the now Amazon former
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: Showtime broadcast is when Morow gets caught up on all
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: that alphabetic.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: And also the one thing I'm not big on is
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: when you know that he's just got this line that
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: he has to get off right, and sometimes he does
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: it too early and you could tell he's just been
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: stashing that thing. But anyway, you know, Ramos took his time,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: and then he did start to pick it up more,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: pick it up more. It seemed like he was getting
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: advice from his corner to be like, this guy's gonna
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: wear it down. Once he wear it down, go for it.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: I will say this, It does appear still that he's
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: kind of stuck between styles. Right now, Well, how did
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: you see the performance? Because overall I wasn't.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: I was less happy about it than most people, and
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: I like Ramos a lot, but it wasn't what I
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: was looking for. You know, Sario doesn't take a good shot.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: Ramos was a massive, massive favorite. Now Rosario does have
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: some power, but this is a fight that he needed
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: to look spectacular into me get out of there early.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: I saw people to me, yeah, I think that they
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: forgot going in just how shot Sario already is. And
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: they were like, oh, Rosario looks shot. Maybe this is
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: the end. You know, it looks like tonight he doesn't
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: have it. It looks shot. I'm thinking, people, what what have
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: you been watching the last couple of years? Guys, this
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: guy's been done. Like you know, Jared Heard and him
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: were you know, that's like you know, boxing zombie fight.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: I mean, you know, I hate to say it because
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: both guys have given us, but I mean, like you
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: know that that that's that was a draw because that's
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: where both guys were at, Like you know, I mean
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: these you know, Rosario's got nothing left. I mean, you
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: know they put him in the spot. To me, he
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: shouldn't have been in this spot. And you know, Matthew Aguilar,
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: the really good long term boxing writer. I'm not saying
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: I necessarily agree, but I thought it was good food
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: for thought he did post you know on X right
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: around late in the fight or right about when it ended,
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: like you know, maybe it's time we got a question
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: just how hard Ramos hits. And I thought, you know,
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: when you kind of look at the career on the whole,
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: now that might I mean, it might just be that
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: it's kind of unfortunate. But you know, even though he's
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: a big guy for the wait and things, you know,
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: maybe the maybe the pops just not really there, like
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: like we think, you know, not to Rosario down late,
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: but that was you know, that was late in the fight.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: And again for really should have to me, odds reflected this.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: People again they're looking at the names, but not where
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: Rosario was at in his career, and not look at
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: the odds. I mean, the odds were a mismatch. So
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: to me it was now to me, PBC didn't really
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: get what they wanted out of this. I mean, you
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: got the almost knockout you're looking for, but it was
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: too late. It wasn't a spectacular performance. Wasn't where he
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: just blew through him. I think, frankly, that's what this
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: fight was supposed to be. Like, I think maybe he
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: got what they wanted out of the main event. Maybe
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: not that they wanted a certain guy to win, but
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: maybe didn't get the I don't think they did get
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: the entertainment value they wanted at a figure out. They
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: got what they wanted out of the cruise fight. He
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: was a big favorite, but they figured to be action
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: and they got it. This fight, I thought was supposed
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: to be the script was supposed to be the ramost
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: spectacular early blowout, emphasize how good this young guy is
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: a race a little bit of the Lubin performance to me,
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: since Lubin doesn't take that good of a shot either.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: This kind of race questions for the to the Lubit
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: Lubert performance. And I think that's what Matthew Aguilar was
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: getting at, which is a real good question, like, you know,
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: maybe is it that Ramos, especially when he's fighting more
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: name fighters, that that that pop really isn't there, because
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: you know, when you think about it, even when he
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: got the win over Joey Spencer, real good, nice big
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: shot early where he dropped him, but Spencer did get
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: up and took.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: It away.
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: And just said, hey, I don't I don't like how
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: many shots you're taking. And so they we're still throwing back.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: So like the thread of maybe Ramos doesn't hit that
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: hard despite his size is starting to be very real.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think I do think there's something about
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: him being on the outside more and it appears that
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: they're working on that. And sometimes because he came on
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: pretty strong, right and like not in this fight, but
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: just in general, and then and then it did look like,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: you know, power and all that, but then he started
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: getting hit a lot and it was like, well, okay,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: you know there there isn't in between there, but it
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: some guys just aren't gonna be able to be boxing
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: on the outside. That's not them. You don't see Benavetez,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: you don't see some of these other guys do that.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: They're still coming out a guy, but they're doing it
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: a little bit more fundamentally. They're doing a little bit
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: more strategic there, you know, because even in that fight
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: with Benevita, sometimes he'll throw a bunch of punches, sometimes
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: he won't. He'll use his jab, land his jab, let
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: the guy kind of burn some steam, blocking some stuff
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: and then start going. And I don't know, there's just
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: something about and maybe a different style that would really
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: press him, would bring something out. You know, it could
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: be that where he's gonna look good in this fight
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: and we looked in this fight and then look kind
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: of mediocre in a different fight. So I don't I
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: don't know. I can't quite put my finger on it.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: But it does appear that he's a little bit stuck
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: between styles, and because I've heard it even recent years
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: him in interviews saying, you know, I'm working on this,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: I'm working on that, And I think that's great to
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: an extent, you know, but if it is taken away
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: from your performance and a guy, you know, guy like
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: this is like like you said, should be looking to to,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: you know, open up more. And it doesn't mean you
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: got to take a bunch of punches. You just got to,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: you know, look like you're trying to take the guy out.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: I guess I don't know. Well, one thing, he was
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: there to be stopped, you know.
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: Yeah, And one thing I might fit a little bit
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: what you talked about. Now. I know we're coming off
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: a fight where he got caught coming in and got stopped.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: But you know, I was kind of critical of it.
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: Even though it technically looked better, you never felt like
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: the effectiveness was there, Like early in his career and
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: that's when Giya he's switching to Renoso. Now you know
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: Canelo became you really can say it, he did become
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: a great boxer. Yeah, you know, so you could.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Say, well, he used to slug it out too early. Yeah,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: when he first started fighting over here, he was slugging
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: it out.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you could say maybe, you know, you think, well,
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: that's why he's going to Renoso. But on the other hand,
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: I'm I'm thinking, you know, Renaulto might be smart enough
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: trainer that I don't know. Maybe maybe he's gonna get
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: mu back to some of the things he just does better.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: That's that's that's it right there. Highlight and work if
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: you're gonna work that stuff in, but it's gotta be
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: still your style.
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: At I felt like that. You know, mu Ghi has
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: had some problems with that for a few years now,
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: and I don't know, it'd be interesting to see what
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: they do with him. But kind of fitting there, yeah, like.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, that's a good point that says.
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: Talked to him about boxing and things and he's done
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: that someing. But but right does he does he look
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: as effective?
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it's that gonna win at the high level. You know,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: I doubt it unless he's got someone just going crazy
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: at him. Okay, then that then you can do that.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: It's not like you're gonna win the every fight the
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: same exact way. I get that part. You know, you
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: want to be versatile, but you also got to know
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: what you are, you know what I mean? So yeah,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: that's kind of interesting. And then we did, uh we
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: didn't get an upset with Kayo and what was it?
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: Uh Olivia? But we we we damned we came close
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: to get an upset.
- 1:25:40Speaker 5: Yeah, we're gonna have an upset on the cards he
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: was up and yeah, because you could only give a
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: handful of realms to Quao.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: I mean, there's times where he was doing better, but
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: overall he was getting freaking hit clean with a lot
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: of shots. And then, you know, to his credit, he
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: kept fighting. He did win some realnms, especially late, but
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: then he did get that body shot and then follow
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: it right back up with another body shot. What are
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: your thoughts on the stoppage? And then let's take it
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: deeper a body shot stoppage. I heard a lot of
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: people talk about if a guy gets up from a
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: body shot, you shouldn't stop the fight.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: That's what I said, because I wasn't exaggerating, you know,
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: and we're going back over over forty years, literally well
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: over forty years. I could not think of a fight
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: other than that one where I saw somebody get up
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: from a body shot knockdown and the fight gets stopped
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: and all. So I'm talking all my years of watching boxing,
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: I cannot think of an instance.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: And it was probably if it happened, it was probably
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: like a five and old guy who had just pummeled
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: somebody so much and it was on the fourth knockdown
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: or you know, something that wouldn't apply the same way.
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: You know, and you know too, it was credit.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: He was doing great to man.
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: And he came on. I mean, I want to give
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: him credit, but I just can't think of a fight
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: where a guy got up from a body shot and
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: then the referee stopped it.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: And I understand that the next body shot dropped him again.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: Well okay, let's see if the next one does.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: You know what I mean, that's what you would expect.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: So yeah, that there was enough time in there to
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: get through the realm. So that was that was disappointing.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: Light You would have just liked to see it play out, yes,
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: and the result probably wouldn't have been different at that point,
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: but would have liked to just see it play out
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: to you know, the definitive conclusion.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: Do you remember off the top how long how much
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: is left?
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: I don't.
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: I feel like it was more than a minute.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: That's what I'm thinking too.
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: Somewhere in the middle. I believe the first time that
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: was like a minute midway or something like that. Let
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: me see if I wrote it down on my notes. Yeah,
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: dn oh yeah, Actually the left hand of the body
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: was midway point, and then the second one came seconds later.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: So let the guy have a minute thirteen or some shit.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: What happened? And if he gets hit with one shot,
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: goes down again? Okay, the he's trying to survive whatever.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: But but as that's happening, he's catching back up in
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: the fight. He'll probably win at that point if you
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: keep getting the knockdowns anyway, So it's like, yeah, I
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: don't know. It's not like he's uh, I don't know.
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: And it's not like he was favoring something where he's
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: barely getting up or like on one leg and can't
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: you know what I mean, where you could see there's
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: something internal wrong with him, or he's about to keep
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: blood or whatever. Woufferent Right, it had been different, you
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: could see it like oh wow, yeah he's done, you know.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: But but yeah, I would have liked to see that
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: because that did run a I'd not fully ruin it,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: but for him, you know, Olivia, it sure ruined it
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: for him, you know. And yeah, you just let it,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: let it play out, because it would have been that
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: much more dramatic. It was already like, oh shit, tenth
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: round knocked out. Oh he knocked him out again, Like,
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: let's see what happens exactly.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: You hate to have the drama ruined, you know, in
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: a good fight like that, where you just let it
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: play out to its natural conclusion.
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's one where it's like the guy's legs
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: are fine, Like stop getting hit in the head. You know.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: If anyone's taking the punishment to the head in that fight,
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: it was Quail, you know, he was getting hit, he
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: was getting.
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: Rocked, you know a lot.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a good fight. That was a good fight.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: I knew it would be a good test, but I
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: didn't think that he would bring it like that. That
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: was good. That was really good. Any other items from
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: the weekend in general, you know, whether it's anything something
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: on the card, UK whatever.
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: Yeah, just I felt like, you know, in fairness since
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: there were pros, but there's kind of cons too. I
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: did want to sum up what I thought about the
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: the overall then you know, value of the pay per view,
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: you know, you gotta because I saw these things on
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: both sides, and I think you got it. You got
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: the main event, delivered what we wanted as a fight.
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: You got a good action fight in uh, you know,
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: Pitbull and Fierio. You get the fight we thought we
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: were going to get in Fulton Figure Row. Even though
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: it was a slight upset, Ramos didn't perform in a
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: in a fight that had missed my match odds. I
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: don't think he performed as good we would want to see.
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: And I'm just saying this for the for the health
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: of US boxing. I think all that put together, was
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: it worth seventy nine five? No, And I think that's
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: where we've got, you know, boxing, the sports got to
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: keep watching this stuff. You know, I think it tied
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: and well I did see because I think, you know,
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: some people don't like him, some people do, but I
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: think as far as this sport goes and for his
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: position in it. What you know, Stephen Espinosa says is
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: usually pretty honest. So I saw him interviewed about, you know,
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: kind of the general state of this situation over the
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: weekend on social media, and he's like, well, combined Amazon,
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: you know for twenty twenty five, you know, combine, combine, yeah,
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: and free. You know, but he would say that there's
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: going to be like, you know, they only had one
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: quote unquote free event last year. Yeah, an event, you know,
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: the Zoo Fight, which is.
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: It's so far from doors, the only one that we
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: know of that.
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, would you like commit like we're going
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: to have you know, like eight non yeah, yeah, he.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: Said what the press what over the press release said
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: that's what we're going to do.
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: And then you know there, you know, he said, like, well,
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: rumor that this deal was going to end in like June,
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: because you've heard deals with the top rumors about the
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: top ranked deal ending too. But then he didn't like
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: like since, like I said, I think since he's a
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: little more honest, Like I watched listen to what he
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: says carefully. He doesn't like lie, he doesn't like right, So,
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: like what I was reading into it was like, but
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: he wasn't saying the deal was going to continue. He
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: was saying, like, you know, it's a it's a BS
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: rumor that the deal's over in June.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: Right, he mentioned, you know, yeah, he said it. We
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: just started the deal.
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: He said, yeah, you know, Like so I'm just saying
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: it kind of didn't sound that good. Like it sounded
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: to me like like what I read into what he's
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: telling us is like, well, we're gonna give another ten
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: pay per views this year and we'll just you know,
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: keep on see where we're see where we're at. Then
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: kind of a thing. I don't know if that's gonna
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: you know, I just don't know if that's gonna do it.
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: I don't think it is. So that's where maybe, you know,
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: we don't know, we don't know what Turkey, Alashic and
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: White have in mind. I mean, they got to have fighters.
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: So is that going to be like working?
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: To me, is it gonna be.
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: Like working with PBC to some degree, working with top rank?
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: You know, you would think maybe it's not working with
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: top rank if they're having an emergency meeting. But but
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: they got to have fighters so I'm not sure that
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: there won't be some promoters.
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: I don't know how they're planning on structuring, you know,
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: unless they're planning on signing all the guys, that would
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: be the ultimate model for them, and maybe that's what
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: they're gonna do, but but we haven't heard the details
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: of that yet. So I guess just what I'm just saying, like,
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know if, like at PBC,
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: putting out ten seven seventy nine ninety five pay per
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: views is really going to be an effective thing to
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: keep the US sensibilities going because, you know, to their credit,
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: I mean, let's face it, I mean PBC is carrying
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: what's left of you Well yeah, top rank too, I
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: mean on the ESPN, so it's top rank on N
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: and then PBC. But you know, PBC really kind of
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: try try to carry the American look, so to speak,
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: you know, but I don't know if ten I don't
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: know if ten seventy nine ninety five pay per views
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: is going to do that. I just think the exposure
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: just keeps keeps shrinking and shrinking, So I think that
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: ties in. So you know, there was definitely some good
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: and you know, being back in Vegas and things, and
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: like I said, there's a comfort level being back in Vegas,
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: the commentators and everything. But I and it was a
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: great main event. But I don't. I don't know if
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: seventy nine ninety five pay per view cards on Amazon
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: pay per view ten times a year, I don't. I
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: don't think that's gonna do it. So it's gonna something
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: else is gonna have to happen.
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if it would be ten, but
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: we'll see. Just off of so they're gonna do a Canelo, Well,
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: they got a Javonte fight. They got at least one
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: more of those, right, so that's three, and then Canelo
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: at least one. We don't know if the September one.
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: So we know that he's working with him in May,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: the PBC in May, but we don't know for a fact,
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: you know we we we the way Canelo talks about
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: al I assume in some form or fashion that they'll
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: be using and Crawford's not signed to anyone per se,
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: so I think they may use the PBC on that one.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: I agree, I think, so that'd be five if Benavidez
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: doesn't fight over there, well, actually it's still be on
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: pay per.
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: View, right. Well, but you make a good point. I mean,
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: if you think you're counting did get ten, But you
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: make a good point. I do have to put a
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: caveat onto what I said. Yeah, if if two of
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: the pay per views PBC is involved at Espidosa is
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: talking about hello Jake Paul and Canelo Crawford in the state,
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: and that's gonna that's gonna add so much more viewership
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: for us sensibilities than you've been having. That if you
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: count that as part of it, well, that that might work.
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: You know, that might work if the undercards are good.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: And you can say in June they got this card
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: on you know, on Amazon, you know, like pushing it
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: off of that. I do think they'll be I don't
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: think ten of the because he did say the press
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: release basically ten to twelve fights or events, I should say,
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: but he did, he did say mixture. I don't think
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: it would be ten of them. But to your point,
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: would it be and four? You know what I mean?
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: So we're right, we're pretty close if it's not six
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: and six or something, you know, or seven and five,
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: but it have to be some that five would have
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: to be really good on on the free stuff too,
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: on just Amazon, they have to really make those solids too.
- 1:37:18Speaker 3: You know, it's got to be something to build it up. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: I though I think they might. I mean, you do
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: you do hear this sometimes? I mean, you know, I
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: don't know exactly. I have an idea how it's worked,
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: and maybe that's it though. I mean, you know, not
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: all of those UFC pay per views sell all that big.
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: I mean no, no, no, there's one hundred and ten thousand
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: sellers and stuff, so you know, but they've kept going
- 1:37:45Speaker 3: with that. So yeah, you know, that could be what.
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: And the ESPN Plus deal really helped them with that,
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: because remember they guaranteed them a certain amount of money,
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: didn't matter what it was gonna sell. So that's why
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: we saw somewhere You're like, oh, that's paper because they
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: can get away with it. Now moving forward, it'll be
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: interesting to see.
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: I mean, that could be what they have in mind.
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: But there's still there's still ESPN ESPN Plus cards on
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: there too that aren't pay per view, but there are
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: a lot of.
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: I mean on UFC it's mostly paid.
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: For you, right, there's a lot of because they have their.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: Own app too that they put stuff on. But yeah,
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: we'll see. And you know, there there was rumors about
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: other stuff and as far as a different deal or whatever,
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: you know, maybe that's part of it, and that's why
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: there was some in between. To your point about Espinoza's interview,
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: there was some not as detail as he normally is.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: So I did pick up that as well. Maybe some
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: stuff he can't talk about, maybe who knows, but but
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: we did here.
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: Obviously uh PDC has worked multiple of their have worked
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: with the Sadi's with Turkey, and not long ago he
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: called him the partner in a tweet, called him I
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: have to talk to my partners, and he named everybody
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: in the last almost PBC, so they may you never know,
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: you know, we'll see. We'll see about that now. As
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: far as I did, I did get my entertainment value
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: with that card. And I do it the same way.
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: I look at the last whatever of my life, especially
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: the last twenty years, and I've paid for a lot
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: of main events that weren't good right in the ring.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: So if the main events solid and then you give
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: me something on the inner card, I haven't lost touch
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: of not to say you have, but some of these
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: stat cards that we see recently, there was a long
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: gap before that used to happen. You know, many of
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: years went by, So I'm trying to look at from
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: a few years ago until like the early two thousands
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: and what they used to give you on the undercard.
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: I mean, some of the undercards would be just garbage.
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: That got to be complete garbage. The things that I
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: thought really hurt boxing. Yes, the idea was all of
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: the people only paying for the main event, but it
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: just wasn't given people an overall entertainment experience, especially if
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: the main event wasn't good. It wasn't building any fighters
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: up for the future that people were seeing on these
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: cards in good fights. I think that's definitely one of
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: the things that hurt boxing.
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: And even in Vegas, you paid all this money, you
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: still didn't go to the last fight or last two fights,
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: and you know it's for Christ.
- 1:40:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that was that was a response to that, and
- 1:40:48Speaker 2: people were you can't really blame the fans, especially when
- 1:40:52Speaker 2: you're in Vegas having a good time. You know, we're out,
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: we're parties and everything, and you're thinking, hey, I'm out
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: here having a great time. Do I want to go
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: in and see some guy who's more twenty five fighting
- 1:41:03Speaker 2: some guy that's ten, you know, not really, I think.
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: Really, yeah, that's exactly it. And like you said, I've
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: never blamed the fans for that. And there's times where
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: I've gone to Vegas where I do have certain interest
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: in the undercards, so I'll just go there early, you know,
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: and just sit when there's like four hundred people in
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: the place, and like I said, it's literally cold in
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: the place, you know, at the time. But you're right,
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: that's not the fans fault. They're that's a that's them saying, hey, dude,
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: make it worth worth my wild Then I've also gone
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: to a Canelo fight where there was a stack card
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: years ago and from the first fight I think was
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: Leo Santa Cruz in one of his first one to
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: eighteen belts or whatever. But it was a fun fight.
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: It was Soto Cross and Maydonna, you know, like that
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: type of stuff, and it was like, oh, okay, in
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: the place was jam packed because they knew, okay, you're
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: hooking me up. They're doing the damn wave three fights
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: before Canello comes out there, you know, so that that's
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: worth it. So I did it was worth my pay
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: per view entertainment. But we'll see. Well, I mean, the
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: undercard really does have to pay off in that tank
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: one for me to say, yeah, that was a good
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: fight night of fights.
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what you really need.
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: A good undercard, Yes, in a major way for sure.
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: And that uh Russell and that On's Whale fight, I
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: do have some interest in that needs to pop. Yeah,
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: that needs to really pop, and I think stylistically it
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: will pop. But yeah, the undercard has to pop, no
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: doubt about that. Any uh any other items, sir.
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: Another since they're both on the edge of the top ten,
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: and I never thought i'd be saying about just because
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: I thought for a lot of years he was probably
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: at that point I thought getting too much credit for
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: what he brought, what he really brought. But somehow late
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: in his career he's brought more and he's fighting, you know,
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: vallin this weekend. Two guys legitimately, you know, right around
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: the edge of the top ten. Even though for his
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: advanced age, I'm not saying Chisaura shouldn't retire. I mean,
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: it's sulted me up to him, but it would seem
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: to be a good idea, but he has been effective.
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: I mean Joyce looked totally shot, but still you thought
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: that Joyce that style matchup, he'd be pounding on Gesa
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: and there'd be no real way Chesaura could win. That
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: un pulled it out, dropping Joyce at the end, and
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: here he is. He's legitimately right on the edge of
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: the top ten, even after all this time. He's been
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: doing it with all the losses.
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: Yeah, he has a way to just come back, even
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: that that Dillion White turn his head around, you know, like, yeah,
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: you're right, he just has a way to hang around,
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: And then you know Wilin I thought real highly of
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: and he had a dreadful performance against Joshua. And you
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: can say it more because Joshua, you know, got blown
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: away by JUVOI Yeah, you know, you know, you can't
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: always do the the comparison and stuff, but it's still worthy.
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: Like you know, Joshua wasn't peaking or something like that
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: or had had a ton left. It turned out so
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: like it kind of even Shed's worse, you know, Walin's performance.
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: So he's a slight favorite. It's it's not a huge favorite.
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: And you know, I've even reached a point where even
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: though you'd like to see him retire, you can't really
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: count JaSRA out. He just actually has proven it. So,
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: you know, Valin needs to look good in this fight,
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: needs to clearly win this fight in some fashion. Right,
- 1:45:05Speaker 2: Maybe doesn't even maybe he doesn't have to ko because
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: Jasaura has proved and he's still brings something, but he's
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: got to look really good, get a real clear win, yes,
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: show us he could be what we thought he might
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: be a couple of years ago. And then if he can't,
- 1:45:22Speaker 2: you know, then then he's gonna be He's going to
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: be counted out. So uh and for Cheshaura, you know,
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: even if he wins, do you really want to see
- 1:45:29Speaker 2: him continue on? I mean, it's just wouldn't seem like
- 1:45:33Speaker 2: a good idea. But but whoever wins is you know,
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: they're right in the top ten and they're going to continue.
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: So it's just a fight that's significant enough that I
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: thought before I before I got out of here, did
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: want to just mention we've got that coming up because
- 1:45:51Speaker 2: it is part of the good month too.
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and I wonder, you know, is it worth some
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: of that little plus money? I see a plus twenty
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: eight eighty eight. I see a plus one sixty plus
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: one seventy five for Sora. I was interested in that
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: Willie Hutchinson Zach Parker fight, but that's off now, Yeah,
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: that's I was interested in that is a matchup. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: I wanted to see what Hutchinson could do against him
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: because he's a solid VET. And that's another one where
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: it was under. I'm pretty sure it was under two hundred. Yep,
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: everything was razing.
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: I did. I did put that on X. You know,
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: all these fights in February they're minus they have a
- 1:46:35Speaker 2: minus two fifty favorite or under, which is amazing in
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: recent years. And it includes his fight, you know, Vallin
- 1:46:43Speaker 2: and Jesura and we got the big February twenty second
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: and you got you got others like Catterall, you know, Barbosa,
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: and uh it's just a it's just a legitimately loaded month.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: And you know we had the card Saturday night, so
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: we do have something this weekend worth no in the vision,
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: so it's uh, it was worth worth mentioning.
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, all right, John, Well, thanks for joining me
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: as always much appreciate it and we'll talk soon.
- 1:47:15Speaker 2: Yeah, good being here, as always have a good one, all.
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: Right, man, you take it easy, take care all right,
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: all right, So we wanted to get into what was
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: I gonna, oh oh, just a little bit more on
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: the Fierro Cruise fight. I mean, like the first six rounds,
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: I definitely gave more to Cruise. I had it four
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: to two. I gave the third to Fierro. In the
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: sixth was close, man, because he had some moments in there.
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: But obviously the seventh and eighth is where he really
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: started picking it up. And I mean it it was.
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: It was awesome. It was a phenomenal fight. Dude. That
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: that's one of the best fights, if not the best
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: fight of the year right now. I did like how
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: they did that Israel Vasquez rip shots out to Israel
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: Vasquez family and whatnot. Man, he gave us a lot
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: of wars. But I mean the big right hands by
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: Fiero were impressive. Like I said, I mean, he had
- 1:48:37Speaker 1: he had him hurt. He had Cruse hurt. But Cruz
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: was doing his thing, you know, definitely dig into the body.
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: I thought. Overall, you know, he you know, he landed
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: the better shots. I mean by the like fourth round,
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: even like after three, you could give like I mentioned
- 1:48:59Speaker 1: Fierro the third, but after that round, you're like, holy shit, dude,
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: how much more can he take? And then the fourth
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: and the fifth goes by, and yeah, I did like
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: how he he definitely you know, stayed in that fight.
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: That was just uh it. And so I saw some
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: people gave Fierro the last round. I think maybe a
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: late right hand overhand right, if I remember correctly, go
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: figure right easta cruz overhand right. I thought that was
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: probably enough to steal the round. But I think I
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: had it, like, let's see, I think I had it
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: six to four, six three one. I know, people hate
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: when I do that something like that. It was it
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: seven to three. I don't know, but yeah, that that man,
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: that big fight. And yeah, I mean I'm not trying
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: to dump on Jesus Ramos, you know, because I really
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: liked what he was doing with the body. That's something
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: that I didn't mention. I mean, he had thirty eight
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: lands to the body through three rounds. You know, it
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: was thirty eight to seven. And but it did seem
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: like once he started laying the upper cuts, I'd say
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: in the sixth and seventh round, you did start to
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: see him step up the pace a little more. There
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: was obviously that I think it was a right left
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: combo that drop Rosario Rosark Rozaro had shaky legs, but
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: I don't think that they needed to have that as
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: a stoppage at the time. I think they could have
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: let that go. But unlike the other one we were
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: talking about with the Quao and Olivo, you know, we've
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: seen Rosario, he's been there, done that, so and and
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: what was the eighth round? They did check them, but yeah,
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: I thought it was a little early. But that one
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: didn't bug me as much, just because, like I mentioned,
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: it's like, you know, I don't know, I don't You're
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: getting your ass book, dude, you know. But yeah, just
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: kind of going over that Olivo Quail. I gave Quail
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: just landed a couple of shots difference. I gave him
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: the first round, but I definitely the next two I
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: gave to Olivo great body work. There was that left
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: right combo that dropped him in the second round. Dropped Quao.
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: Quao had his jab going one two and some hooks
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: and whatnot, but he was missing a lot of shots
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: early in the fight. I thought hard combinations in the
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: third in a nice shot to kind of close it
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: out and solidify I am in the third round. I
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: thought the fourth round was really close. Bothimore jab and
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: well both of them were landed the body. Really both
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: of them are landed right hands up top two. I
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: gave Quayo the fifth, but it was competitive. The sixth
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: round I thought was competitive too. I did give oleya
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: oleo olivo the seventh. I just thought, you know, both
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: of them were landed hard punches with both hands, but
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: I don't know, and I gave Quayo the eighth. I
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: thought he landed better at the combination punching in the
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: ninth and then we know how it ended. But I
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: did feel bad for the you know, for that because
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: it was a really good scrap and you know when
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: a guy who was an underdog like that, I don't know,
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: it's just it just lends itself to oh, you're you're
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: doing that to help out, uh the A side or whatever,
- 1:52:59Speaker 1: you know, just completely lends itself to that. But you know,
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: it is what it is. It is what it is.
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: So yeah, it'll be interesting to see who Zach Parker fights,
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: because I did hear that they're trying to get him
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: a fighting and I'm looking at that. Excuse me, I'm
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: looking at that. You know that that's your sort of money, like, hmmm, Hernandez.
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: By the way, Molten gotta win. Gabrielle Tellia's gotta win
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: on that card as well. So yeah, and actually, I
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: actually completely it's it's I don't know what I was thinking,
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: but it's my suit Abdullah. Not even the way I
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: said it didn't sound right. That's that's who's on that
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: that undercard. I don't know what the hell I would
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: think he's taken on h Miller. What is it Zach
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: Miller or something like that. I don't know what the
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: I don't know what I was thinking there. So yeah,
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: we'll see, we'll see how that that fight card goes.
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm kind of thinking I'm gonna put
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: some plus money on on Sorow. I'm thinking that might
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: be the route to go. Oh, betting wise, it's funny,
- 1:54:29Speaker 1: it saved me, But I did put money. I picked Figueroa,
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: but I did put money on because I, you know,
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: near near the like opening bell. I just I kept
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: seeing it climb a little bit, you know, like a
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: plus number for for Figueroa and it's or not sorry
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: for for Fulton, and it's like, come on, dude, like
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: I'm not saying it was disrespectful, like all of a sudden,
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: it was a plus three fifty or something, but it
- 1:55:01Speaker 1: was enough of a plus money where I'm like, you
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: know what, I'm gonna put a little something on it.
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: Otherwise I didn't touch it. I was thinking about I
- 1:55:09Speaker 1: don't know, I remember. I think it was I think
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: it was John who brought up the late take TKO
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: bet for Figueroa. I was interested in that. I didn't
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: end up putting it down, but so I did win
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: money on that, and I and I picked. I picked
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: Benevedez by decision for plus one twenty five. But I
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: tried to because once again down the stretch of that
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: betting line for Morell it got to plus two thirty
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: and I was like, you know what, I'm gonna do it.
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: So I had already had money on Benefitez that just
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: in case something happened, you know, I'll take twenty percent
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: of my earnings and put it towards that and I'll
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: be fine whatever. So I tried to make the bet right,
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: and I was watching it with some people, so we
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: were a little behind, but I knew it was close.
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: I said, let me get in there. Okay, it's still live, Okay, cool,
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: and and I went to do it. And when I
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: sent that, you know, I hit the button and it
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: already had it was done. I went back, you know,
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: I refreshed, it went back on. It was like, oh, oh, okay,
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: you can't. You can't bet on it anymore. So I
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: just got lucky to not put any money on Morell.
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: I'll just fully admit I was going to. I didn't
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: end up doing it, so I had plus numbers on
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: I was gonna have plus numbers on both fights. I
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: guess three plus numbers because I had two hundred dogs,
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: and then a plus one twenty five that I got
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: for Benevetez because dude, the knockout wasn't even that much
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: much higher. It was like a plus twenty eighty eight.
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: I was like, oh shit, really, okay, wow, That's what
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: I'm saying. Down the stretch the last month, even it
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: was Morell's gonna get his head chopped off, you know
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: what I mean, Like it was Morel's gonna get destroyed
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: and it and although you know, Benavitez won it, cleanly,
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: no doubt. And I'm not going to sit here and say,
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: let's see the automatic rematch or anything like that. It
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: was just a good fun fight. But man, I I
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: got lucky on that. So yeah, I won my two bets.
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: I would have you know it would have been two
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: out of three. But yeah, luckily, you know, I thought
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: I was gonna be able to get into it. And
- 1:57:35Speaker 1: another thing, I liked the spacing. I or the spacing. Well,
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: I supposed to space in between the pacing and I'm
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: saying shit backwards, all of a sudden pacing. I like
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: the pacing in this fight, of this whole fight guard.
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: I forgot to mention that I really like that so
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: much so that the pace went even faster than I thought.
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: And I was trying to sneak that bed in for
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: Morrel and it cut me off. Like I said, I
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: literally got the amount I wanted about to hit Senate.
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: It just it was like nope, So I had to
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: close that out and pop go back to the boxing
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: petting line. He was like, oh, it's gone, you know,
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: So so that tells you the basing was really good.
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: So otherwise, yeah, you know, I did notice. But if
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: he has got a little shit, and I'm not just
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: talking about like from the Canelo fanboys. He got a
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: little shit saying, which I can understand to an extent.
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: Somebody asked him which fight would you rather have, you know, better,
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: Beev or Beval, and he said, I would pick Theval
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: because Beval beat Canelo. When I beat Theval, that'll make
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: my case that I'm better than Canelo, which you know,
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: obviously that's a the triangle thing doesn't work, But I
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: understand his point. But I think another thing he said
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: that I think he could he could potentially get some
- 1:59:21Speaker 1: pushback from it if he if he were to hold
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: on to it. He said that, you know, because he
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: did do a large ass gate, you know, had it
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: been I mean, I guess Jurvonte now finally the last
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: few years gets his just do when it comes to
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: that gates and all that before you know, as he
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: was gaining steam and he got the three and four
- 1:59:46Speaker 1: and five million dollar gates, which it is what it is,
- 1:59:51Speaker 1: but a five million dollar gets a huge gate. Really,
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: it really is not There's not many you can it's
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: not many that can do that. So and this one
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: was over that. So I don't have the exact number
- 2:00:04Speaker 1: and nothing like that, but I just know it was
- 2:00:06Speaker 1: a healthy gate. He did say, I've worked my way
- 2:00:09Speaker 1: to this point and this is where I'm fighting, which
- 2:00:14Speaker 1: I totally get. And by the way, I know people
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna get pushed back. But he is the A
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: side money wise. Just creating that kind of gait makes
- 2:00:25Speaker 1: you an A side. But in this scenario, if they
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: want you to fight in Sadi and who knows, you know,
- 2:00:35Speaker 1: maybe they think, hey, let's get because I think I
- 2:00:38Speaker 1: think most people think the fall will loose, you know,
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: in the rematch, so Butterbiev and him, you know, maybe
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: they will put it here because they know it can
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: sell more than it would there. But they may show
- 2:00:51Speaker 1: some money to the point where you gotta go to Sadi.
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: So if it can't, if push came to shove, I
- 2:00:57Speaker 1: think Benavidez would go there. Let's just put it this way.
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: He better go to Sadi, if if, if, if that's
- 2:01:06Speaker 1: the only place he can fight uh Baturbiev, then he
- 2:01:10Speaker 1: then he should go. You know. There's just no no
- 2:01:13Speaker 1: doubt about that. But I do understand how he's like, hey, man,
- 2:01:17Speaker 1: I worked my way into the spot and it's time
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: to do it. I'm gonna keep fighting here and keep
- 2:01:23Speaker 1: that fan base going. So I respect that, and he
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: should because he's he's starting to really create some you know,
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: some business there, man. I mean, they keep going up.
- 2:01:38Speaker 1: Someone sent me this to since we're on the quote thing,
- 2:01:44Speaker 1: so long story short, if he were to say, I'm
- 2:01:47Speaker 1: not fighting Baturbiev, I don't care what kind of money
- 2:01:49Speaker 1: they give me over in Sadi. If he's not fighting here,
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: we're not fighting. I would disagree with that at this point,
- 2:01:57Speaker 1: just because, dude, that's your fight. Like, if you you
- 2:02:00Speaker 1: can get it, you gotta do it. You know, if
- 2:02:02Speaker 1: you you can't miss out on the Canelo fight and
- 2:02:04Speaker 1: then miss out on that fight, you know what I mean.
- 2:02:06Speaker 1: And it's not from him missing out obviously, you know.
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: I I well see, who knows. Maybe they do so
- 2:02:15Speaker 1: good over here with those Canelo fights and whatnot that
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: who knows. I don't know. But here's a quote that
- 2:02:22Speaker 1: someone said to me about the fall. He said, I
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: I think I have enough power to stop everybody in
- 2:02:29Speaker 1: a lightweight division. And it's like, well everybody, because you
- 2:02:35Speaker 1: did you did? Uh? You know he did? Uh? There
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: was that Uh yeah. So the attendance I saw was
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: a little over twelve thousand, and you know I heard though,
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: oh he's not a draw. That means there was seats
- 2:02:55Speaker 1: that didn't get sold in Vegas. Dude, if you if
- 2:03:00Speaker 1: you actually sell eight thousand tickets and up in Vegas,
- 2:03:06Speaker 1: I don't think people understand what that means. It did
- 2:03:12Speaker 1: a healthy game, let's put it that way. I don't
- 2:03:15Speaker 1: want to get too tied up into it, but I
- 2:03:17Speaker 1: did notice the Canelo fans were out in about dude,
- 2:03:22Speaker 1: and I'm not I shouldn't say Canelo fans. I'm a
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: Canelo fan. I've been to two of his fights, but
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: I'm also not gonna, you know, like the business part
- 2:03:36Speaker 1: of it to an extent, I get it. It doesn't
- 2:03:40Speaker 1: mean I like it, though, and I think it's bullshit.
- 2:03:43Speaker 1: He should be fighting Benavidez. Crawford could get your money,
- 2:03:46Speaker 1: everybody get their money. But if you're gonna fight Jake
- 2:03:49Speaker 1: Paul and not Benavidez, that's fucked up, obviously. But there
- 2:03:54Speaker 1: are some just like the more popular are, the more
- 2:03:56Speaker 1: haters you have, but the more fanboys you get too.
- 2:03:59Speaker 1: It's some of this ship they were saying about Benavidez.
- 2:04:02Speaker 1: I mean a lot of these folks went from he's
- 2:04:05Speaker 1: gonna duck Morrell to now, oh, he's a prospect. And
- 2:04:13Speaker 1: like I said, before his last fight, if you wanted
- 2:04:15Speaker 1: to call him a prospect, I wouldn't have been like, nah, dude,
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: you know I thought, like eye test, sure, I thought
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: he was in the contender range or whatever, but before
- 2:04:29Speaker 1: his last fight you could say that. But yeah, a
- 2:04:32Speaker 1: lot of people just listen to the glaze. They like
- 2:04:35Speaker 1: the glaze glaze and he glazes it up and you know,
- 2:04:38Speaker 1: talking about it's dead on arrival and you know, all
- 2:04:42Speaker 1: that dumb shit. But we saw a lot of that
- 2:04:44Speaker 1: that you know, he doesn't have money dimensions and he's
- 2:04:48Speaker 1: just not that good and just stupid shit. And you know,
- 2:04:55Speaker 1: there's there's all sorts of different types of skills, you know,
- 2:04:58Speaker 1: when it comes to this game. And we'll see if
- 2:05:05Speaker 1: the paper view numbers even get announced or whatever or
- 2:05:08Speaker 1: not announced, but come out like with good reporting, not
- 2:05:11Speaker 1: just the glace. But I don't think they lost money
- 2:05:17Speaker 1: on this event, but we'll see, we'll see. But yeah,
- 2:05:23Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of people coming out and
- 2:05:25Speaker 1: taking it out. They were, like I said, ripping morel
- 2:05:28Speaker 1: there's no way he's gonna duck him to he ain't
- 2:05:30Speaker 1: fighting him. He ain't fighting I mean, he's never gonna
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: fight him, and he fights him all of a sudden
- 2:05:34Speaker 1: dudess of prospect. You know. Now, I did see this
- 2:05:38Speaker 1: on the shouts out the brunch boxing all day every day, right,
- 2:05:42Speaker 1: I saw Matt sweet this or actually this comes from
- 2:05:45Speaker 1: the brunch brunch boxing account. You should you know, follow
- 2:05:51Speaker 1: that it's said that it's it, that it may maybe
- 2:05:55Speaker 1: it's not as close as being finalized the talks around going,
- 2:06:00Speaker 1: but that you know, it's not quite all the way
- 2:06:04Speaker 1: talking about the Crawford, you know, Cane little fight, and
- 2:06:11Speaker 1: you know, these type of fights happened because it's gonna
- 2:06:15Speaker 1: do big numbers both at the gate and at the
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: pay per view, and you know, if anybody can pull
- 2:06:21Speaker 1: it off, I mean you gotta at least. I mean,
- 2:06:25Speaker 1: like I said, I understood why the the Spence stuff
- 2:06:28Speaker 1: like when he when he was offered contracts two or
- 2:06:31Speaker 1: three fights or whatever with the PBC, Spence would be
- 2:06:35Speaker 1: thrown in there. And I got that at the time.
- 2:06:38Speaker 1: I totally understood why that was a possibility. Because the
- 2:06:42Speaker 1: ship sells, you know, That's why. So so why not
- 2:06:47Speaker 1: Now I'd rather him see or I'd rather than I'd
- 2:06:51Speaker 1: rather haven't been abatence there obviously, you know, and maybe
- 2:06:58Speaker 1: you know some people were saying, hey, that they're gonna
- 2:07:01Speaker 1: Canelo is gonna f Benevitez and just be like, hey,
- 2:07:04Speaker 1: you want to fight in me and not give them
- 2:07:06Speaker 1: time to prepare or whatever. All the way. I guess
- 2:07:10Speaker 1: he could take a couple of weeks off, get right
- 2:07:11Speaker 1: back in the gym or whatever. But that would be great.
- 2:07:17Speaker 1: I just don't.
- 2:07:18Speaker 2: I don't.
- 2:07:18Speaker 1: I don't see it happening. I don't see it happening.
- 2:07:23Speaker 1: It does. According to Jake Donnovan, I saw well basically
- 2:07:27Speaker 1: off of a post to that, and Duardo Nunez will
- 2:07:32Speaker 1: get his shot out of belt. This thing was dragged
- 2:07:37Speaker 1: out and he's been waiting on an opportunity to get
- 2:07:41Speaker 1: the fight. And old boy said, hey, you know, I
- 2:07:46Speaker 1: became a world champion. Now I'm after the biggest fights,
- 2:07:50Speaker 1: you know, regardless if there's a belm on the line.
- 2:07:54Speaker 1: It's like, that's cool, But why the fuck did you
- 2:07:56Speaker 1: drag it so long? And I understand some of this
- 2:07:59Speaker 1: is strategy where you don't know if you get that
- 2:08:02Speaker 1: fight maybe you don't, maybe you do, and then if
- 2:08:05Speaker 1: you don't, you got that fight. At least I get that.
- 2:08:07Speaker 1: But I am happy for for Noon Yez and it.
- 2:08:11Speaker 1: And it seems like inching closer either May or June
- 2:08:16Speaker 1: about the Tayo Fema Lopez and Richardson Hitchins fight, And
- 2:08:19Speaker 1: I mentioned that was that last week or the week before,
- 2:08:21Speaker 1: But I think it's really possible because ever since the
- 2:08:29Speaker 1: management got aligned, that really helps fights get over the line,
- 2:08:36Speaker 1: you know. Oh yeah, and Dan the boxing man shouts
- 2:08:42Speaker 1: out to him. He's the tweet that he said Turkey's
- 2:08:46Speaker 1: gonna invite the winner Benevidez Morale to be ringside for
- 2:08:50Speaker 1: the derby Bivil. So we'll see, we'll see how that goes.
- 2:08:56Speaker 1: And I'm also oh, I forgot to you know, Adam
- 2:09:00Speaker 1: Iszine took care of lipints. But I saw something like
- 2:09:08Speaker 1: a two days later, like just the recording of it
- 2:09:11Speaker 1: on YouTube, and so I didn't steal the stream, but
- 2:09:15Speaker 1: I'm hearing it wasn't on Peacock, So I don't know.
- 2:09:22Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know about that one sneaking
- 2:09:24Speaker 1: at nick ball Kwayu is gonna be his mando. I
- 2:09:28Speaker 1: forgot to mention that. So we'll see. And by the way,
- 2:09:34Speaker 1: speaking of his opponent Olivo, he was up eighty eight,
- 2:09:40Speaker 1: eighty two, eighty seven, eighty three, and eighty six eighty
- 2:09:42Speaker 1: four would have won by split decision if the fight
- 2:09:45Speaker 1: continued and he made it to the belt. Yeah, as
- 2:09:50Speaker 1: long as there wasn't two or three more knockdowns, you know.
- 2:09:54Speaker 1: I saw that Jake Donovan put that there. Oh yeah, Romos,
- 2:09:57Speaker 1: I forgot to mention this. Romos said that he that
- 2:10:02Speaker 1: he he's thinking about going back to fifty four. I
- 2:10:10Speaker 1: did like Ramos's punch out put. I mean, he threw
- 2:10:13Speaker 1: almost five hundred in about eight rounds. He landed really
- 2:10:20Speaker 1: high on his just overall, but he landed like, you know,
- 2:10:24Speaker 1: a bunch to the body. Ninety six body punches, two
- 2:10:28Speaker 1: nineteen overall fifty five jabs. So I'm not totally down
- 2:10:33Speaker 1: on Ramos. Oh shouts out to a great writer, Michael
- 2:10:39Speaker 1: Katz too. I forgot. I forgot to say that. Rip
- 2:10:45Speaker 1: definitely caught up on some of the stuff lately too,
- 2:10:48Speaker 1: just kind of rewinding it. That Fierro Cruiz though COMPU
- 2:10:52Speaker 1: Box two forty eight to two thirty eight. I mean
- 2:10:57Speaker 1: these dudes and out of six twenty four, only one
- 2:11:02Speaker 1: hundred and twenty of them from Pitbull Cruiser Jabs. I mean,
- 2:11:06Speaker 1: these dudes were getting it in. Man. That was a
- 2:11:09Speaker 1: great fight. That was so fun. Oh here's here's a
- 2:11:12Speaker 1: little graphic that came up. Stephen Fulton is twenty two
- 2:11:16Speaker 1: and oh in the United States now he's twenty three.
- 2:11:19Speaker 1: And I thought that was kind of funny. Like, hey,
- 2:11:22Speaker 1: by the way, just so you know, bro, when Fulton
- 2:11:26Speaker 1: fights in America, can't beat him. So really, if if anyway,
- 2:11:30Speaker 1: we'd just come here, bro, you know. And I also
- 2:11:34Speaker 1: I do want to address some of the stuff that
- 2:11:38Speaker 1: was said about like Fulton being weight trained at one
- 2:11:46Speaker 1: twenty two and that's why he lost the fight. Now,
- 2:11:50Speaker 1: I'm not gonna sit there and say that you could
- 2:11:54Speaker 1: be weight trained. I'm not saying that he's not. But
- 2:12:01Speaker 1: watching the fight, to me, it just it didn't It
- 2:12:08Speaker 1: didn't ring true for me, because you know, he was
- 2:12:13Speaker 1: trying to win the fight and he was trying to
- 2:12:15Speaker 1: make adjustice. He just couldn't do shit to anyway. That
- 2:12:17Speaker 1: That's what it looked like to me. So it's not
- 2:12:21Speaker 1: like he was winning and then he wore down and
- 2:12:24Speaker 1: he was gassed and he was tired because he had
- 2:12:26Speaker 1: no energy left. He just got beat. So does Fulton
- 2:12:32Speaker 1: feel better at one twenty six? I'm sure he does. Shit,
- 2:12:34Speaker 1: he look good to me, look great, But I'm not
- 2:12:38Speaker 1: gonna go as far as be like, hey, dude, if
- 2:12:41Speaker 1: they fight at one twenty six, he beats him. I
- 2:12:43Speaker 1: think that's a style matchup. And it was, by the way,
- 2:12:46Speaker 1: that main event two twenty four to one sixty five.
- 2:12:49Speaker 1: Funny enough. Morell threw six h one to five point
- 2:12:51Speaker 1: fifty three some of what was just busy work, though
- 2:12:55Speaker 1: twenty nine jabs landed. They they threw about the same
- 2:13:00Speaker 1: three to twenty nine. I think Morell can up that,
- 2:13:04Speaker 1: like I mentioned before. But yeah, man, I mean breadman.
- 2:13:11Speaker 1: His tweet was David Morreau has a chin and a
- 2:13:13Speaker 1: lot of determinations. So many fighters make silent agreements when
- 2:13:17Speaker 1: they're being best. He was chucking then things back with
- 2:13:20Speaker 1: bad intention to the final bell. His will kept him
- 2:13:26Speaker 1: from being stopped. Yeah, he showed me a lot, man.
- 2:13:30Speaker 1: David Benavita is now roll boxing David Benavite six and
- 2:13:34Speaker 1: zero against top ten ranked You know, whether it's TBR
- 2:13:39Speaker 1: or Ring magazine. Fulton now is four and one, so
- 2:13:45Speaker 1: that was a nice little tweet. Yeah, I mean I
- 2:13:50Speaker 1: really obviously I think Anthony Yard has a fight, but
- 2:13:56Speaker 1: Morell just fought, so it's coming up somewhat. That would be.
- 2:14:01Speaker 1: That would be that'd be big Bawatzi Smith those two fights,
- 2:14:08Speaker 1: you know, coming out of that, that would be good.
- 2:14:10Speaker 1: Here's Bug Williams speaking of He said, what's next for
- 2:14:13Speaker 1: Fulton Rave Vargus is the champion in recess and may
- 2:14:17Speaker 1: get it next. Shoeshoe versus Vivez is the WBC title eliminator.
- 2:14:23Speaker 1: He said, Ball has Donahey, you know that's in March.
- 2:14:27Speaker 1: Leo has this Mando Comita in May, and yeah, so
- 2:14:35Speaker 1: we'll see. I wouldn't doubt if it is that though,
- 2:14:39Speaker 1: we'll see. I did see on tok Sport that but
- 2:14:43Speaker 1: Koley and joshuare in talks to fight in the Congo.
- 2:14:46Speaker 1: But then I heard it was actually but Cooley and Wilder,
- 2:14:52Speaker 1: so I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
- 2:14:59Speaker 1: Here's two slick Benavi has looked really good last night.
- 2:15:01Speaker 1: We're seeing a fighter finally put it all together, the
- 2:15:04Speaker 1: aspects of his game together in a coherent hole. That's
- 2:15:08Speaker 1: a great way to put it. Great fight, a star
- 2:15:10Speaker 1: making performance. Hopefully Canelo will better be a winner's next
- 2:15:14Speaker 1: biffol is next Okay World Boxing News. So this lightweight Mendoza,
- 2:15:25Speaker 1: Abel Mendoza, you know, shouts out to him. Great, right,
- 2:15:28Speaker 1: he's forty two and oh, it says Floyd Mayweather's fifteen
- 2:15:32Speaker 1: to oh record is under severe risk by the way,
- 2:15:36Speaker 1: someone's gone over that, but we won't talk about that.
- 2:15:38Speaker 1: That didn't count either, fifty and oh severe risk over
- 2:15:44Speaker 1: the next three years. From the from Abel Mendoza, I
- 2:15:50Speaker 1: fought nine times in the last two years. He could
- 2:15:52Speaker 1: overtake Mayweather by two twenty eight and then the only
- 2:15:56Speaker 1: thing we're gonna ask him is who in the fuck
- 2:15:59Speaker 1: did he fight? I'm sorry? And according to the ring
- 2:16:04Speaker 1: magazine June, Picasso Vegas talking about anyway homecoming in Japan,
- 2:16:12Speaker 1: which is like he just fightd in Japan, dude, September
- 2:16:15Speaker 1: and in December he'd be in Sadi. Can we make
- 2:16:18Speaker 1: one of those fights the other way? Uh? Someone sent
- 2:16:23Speaker 1: me this. It was a tweet. I can't read the
- 2:16:26Speaker 1: top of it as far as you sent it or
- 2:16:28Speaker 1: not sent it, but this is a screenshot of a tweet.
- 2:16:32Speaker 1: Do I agree with this? Ryan Garcia would have sent
- 2:16:35Speaker 1: pit Bull to the shadow Rum. Actually, I think I
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: know who. I think I responded this. I said Roly
- 2:16:41Speaker 1: would go to the same place. So they're saying, oh,
- 2:16:44Speaker 1: pit Bull, you know Rian Garcia would have tore pit
- 2:16:47Speaker 1: Bull up. Yeah, I mean, what do you think he's
- 2:16:50Speaker 1: gonna do to Roly? I mean, by the way, Fulton
- 2:16:53Speaker 1: with the fu mouth guard is pretty funny. That's pretty cool.
- 2:17:04Speaker 1: Do you do do Yeah, I'm just seeing a bunch
- 2:17:08Speaker 1: of fanboy tweets. Oh Opataia and zero in October. That's
- 2:17:12Speaker 1: what Eddie Hearn told, not just boxing that if Serto
- 2:17:17Speaker 1: wins against dor Ticos, that that that would happen in
- 2:17:22Speaker 1: re hot season in October. Whether that happens or not,
- 2:17:27Speaker 1: I do not know, but we'll see fevil see uh
- 2:17:35Speaker 1: see this what I mean? Ben Evitez went life and
- 2:17:38Speaker 1: death with a guy with eleven pro fights. It's like
- 2:17:41Speaker 1: dog so when it's I won't even get into it.
- 2:17:45Speaker 1: I don't even get into it. Oh, Clarsa Shields. I
- 2:17:50Speaker 1: totally forgot that she did her thing, barely lost anything
- 2:17:56Speaker 1: in walloped that uh that Perkins, that was a nasty
- 2:18:00Speaker 1: ass punch. But yeah, shouts out to Clarissa Shields. I
- 2:18:03Speaker 1: almost forgot. You know. We mentioned Thurman last week. According
- 2:18:10Speaker 1: to the Daily Telegraph, we mentioned Joey Spencer earlier. Spencer
- 2:18:15Speaker 1: and Tim Zoo in April. If he wins in uh
- 2:18:20Speaker 1: Thurman wins, they're gonna meet. That's what. That's what I've
- 2:18:24Speaker 1: been told. Oh guess what. Someone sent me this too,
- 2:18:27Speaker 1: Ryan Garcia and Rolli Romero. It's gonna be for a
- 2:18:30Speaker 1: WBA belt. Oh sweet, okay, great, that's awesome. And this
- 2:18:36Speaker 1: is the official Queensberry promotion. Willie Hutchinson suffered an injury
- 2:18:41Speaker 1: during sparring, which resulted in a dislocated and tear to
- 2:18:45Speaker 1: his left shoulder. So that sucks. Hopefully he recoups and
- 2:18:49Speaker 1: can fight later this year. I don't know how long
- 2:18:52Speaker 1: that's gonna be. Benavitez, oh goy, here's another one. Benavitez
- 2:18:58Speaker 1: dies if he fights or BIVL. I think it was
- 2:19:04Speaker 1: already obvious he was never in Canello's league. This ship's funny, dude.
- 2:19:10Speaker 1: This ship is just like, come on, dog, what's what's
- 2:19:13Speaker 1: wrong with you? I think that's about I think that's
- 2:19:18Speaker 1: where I'm gonna stop. This is too much fanboy stuff.
- 2:19:20Speaker 1: Now I've already had my fun with the fan boys.
- 2:19:26Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna shut it down here because we
- 2:19:29Speaker 1: keep hearing that, keep hearing that Benavitez has to earn
- 2:19:35Speaker 1: the fight, But I keep saying, what the hell did
- 2:19:38Speaker 1: Berlanga do? That benavite didn't do? What did Mungia? What
- 2:19:41Speaker 1: did Yuldram do? What did Ryder do? Not more than
- 2:19:46Speaker 1: what benavite has done? You know? So this ship's just stupid.
- 2:19:50Speaker 1: Ben shits stupid? All right? Yeah, I saw this one.
- 2:19:55Speaker 1: So raising Babe Canelo hasn't knocked anyone out in the here.
- 2:20:00Speaker 1: He couldn't even knock out Berlanga. And you all think
- 2:20:02Speaker 1: stopping Bud Crawford, You think he's stopping Brad Crawford. That's
- 2:20:06Speaker 1: straight looney tunes. Someone dudes said, actually at Boxing four seven,
- 2:20:12Speaker 1: he said, you're you're talking about a prime top pound
- 2:20:15Speaker 1: for pound Berlanga. So we're gonna stop right there. Anyway,
- 2:20:21Speaker 1: enjoy the fights this weekend. We'll definitely be back. Have yourself,
- 2:20:26Speaker 1: good night, peace,
