Mega Edition: Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell And The Unexplained French Angle (9/2/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

Speaker 1: Now, Jean-Luc Brunel has been swooped up. We all know that.
• 0:04
Speaker 1: But he has now been formally charged in France. And
• 0:13
Speaker 1: he is in serious jeopardy here, folks. I think that
• 0:19
Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel is really in criminal jeopardy here. And he
• 0:24
Speaker 1: is going to end up facing penalties and repercussions for
• 0:29
Speaker 1: his behavior. This article today is from the Financial Times
• 0:35
Speaker 1: and the headline, Jeffrey Epstein Associate Held in France Over
• 0:39
Speaker 1: Rape Allegation. Former modeling agency boss Jean-Luc Brunel detained at
• 0:45
Speaker 1: Paris airport en route to Senegal. This article was authored
• 0:50
Speaker 1: by Victor Mallet. So... We know all of the basics
• 0:56
Speaker 1: of this already, right? We know he was picked up
• 0:58
Speaker 1: at the airport on his way to Senegal. We know
• 1:01
Speaker 1: that Senegal does not have an extradition treaty with France.
• 1:08
Speaker 1: And we know that the authorities said he was under investigation. Well,
• 1:12
Speaker 1: now it's been made formal. And this article today is
• 1:16
Speaker 1: going to add a little bit more context to what
• 1:19
Speaker 1: we already know. Jean-Luc Brunel, a former French model agency boss,
• 1:25
Speaker 1: an associate of the late sex offender, pedophile, and financier
• 1:30
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, has been detained and placed under formal investigation
• 1:35
Speaker 1: for rape of a minor over 15 and sexual harassment,
• 1:40
Speaker 1: the Paris prosecutor Remy Heitz announced on Saturday. So again,
• 1:46
Speaker 1: we knew that he was detained, right? And we had
• 1:49
Speaker 1: some idea of what was going on with his detention.
• 1:52
Speaker 1: But today we're getting a full accounting from the Paris
• 1:57
Speaker 1: prosecutor here, Remy Heitz. And it does not look good
• 2:02
Speaker 1: for Jean-Luc Brunel, folks. Not at all. Now, the extradition
• 2:09
Speaker 1: situation is a big sticking point. I don't know what
• 2:14
Speaker 1: sort of wrangling... can occur behind the scenes. And I
• 2:17
Speaker 1: don't even know if Macron and France would be receptive
• 2:22
Speaker 1: of it. Do they want to set that precedent? I
• 2:24
Speaker 1: don't know. Right. You know, I just the speculation on
• 2:27
Speaker 1: my part when I talk about this extradition situation, because
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: I'm not in the room. I don't have a direct
• 2:33
Speaker 1: line to Macron or to anyone else involved. All I
• 2:36
Speaker 1: could do is look at the data that we know
• 2:38
Speaker 1: from the past in the present and using that we
• 2:43
Speaker 1: can try and forecast the future. So I don't really
• 2:49
Speaker 1: feel too strongly when it comes to France extraditing this
• 2:56
Speaker 1: man to America. I just don't think it's going to happen.
• 2:59
Speaker 1: Does that mean it won't happen? No, that's not the case.
• 3:01
Speaker 1: It could. It definitely could. But I have one of
• 3:04
Speaker 1: those gut feelings. The 74-year-old Mr. Brunel was also named
• 3:10
Speaker 1: as an interested witness in a case of aggravated human
• 3:14
Speaker 1: trafficking of minors... for sexual exploitation, the prosecutor said. So, again,
• 3:21
Speaker 1: this guy is facing a litany of charges here. And
• 3:25
Speaker 1: the prosecutors are definitely looking at least like they're going
• 3:32
Speaker 1: to be going after him in an aggressive manner. Whereas
• 3:36
Speaker 1: I was pretty critical of what was going on in France,
• 3:39
Speaker 1: you know, from my peanut gallery seat, of course. And
• 3:43
Speaker 1: I was very clear also that I didn't know all
• 3:46
Speaker 1: of the ins and outs and the nuances of how
• 3:49
Speaker 1: they investigate cases in France. But I was wondering what
• 3:52
Speaker 1: the hell was going on over there, considering all of
• 3:55
Speaker 1: the girls that have come forward and said that they
• 3:58
Speaker 1: got abused in France. So I figured that the investigation
• 4:02
Speaker 1: would be pretty aggressive, but we didn't see any signs
• 4:05
Speaker 1: of that really. Well, here you are. Have a little crow, Bobby.
• 4:11
Speaker 1: Do you like ketchup on it? So I'm glad to
• 4:14
Speaker 1: eat crow, folks. Believe me, in situations like this, I
• 4:17
Speaker 1: am certainly glad to be wrong. I want the prosecutors
• 4:21
Speaker 1: to be aggressive, as aggressive as possible within the boundaries
• 4:25
Speaker 1: of the law, right? And with all of these charges
• 4:30
Speaker 1: being thrown at Brunel, it sure looks like the prosecutors
• 4:34
Speaker 1: are going to take an aggressive stance here. Mr. Brunel
• 4:39
Speaker 1: was stopped at Charles de Gaulle Airport on his way
• 4:42
Speaker 1: to Senegal on Wednesday. He is suspected of having committed rape,
• 4:46
Speaker 1: sexual aggression, and sexual harassment on different survivors, underage and adult,
• 4:52
Speaker 1: and in particular, of having organized the transport and housing
• 4:56
Speaker 1: of young girls or young women for Jeffrey Epstein, the
• 5:00
Speaker 1: French statement added. Um, so obviously we have a conspiracy
• 5:06
Speaker 1: case here, right? You mean to tell me that Ghislaine
• 5:08
Speaker 1: Maxwell and Jean-Luc Brunel weren't at it together? They weren't
• 5:13
Speaker 1: intimately involved in this shit together? Do we have to
• 5:16
Speaker 1: take a look at those pictures of them together in
• 5:18
Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands again? Come on, folks. This needs to
• 5:22
Speaker 1: be wrapped in to the Ghislaine Maxwell case. No doubt
• 5:27
Speaker 1: about it in my mind. This is all the same road.
• 5:33
Speaker 1: All of it's tied. All of it's connected. And... When
• 5:37
Speaker 1: you talk about conspiracy again, you cannot have a conspiracy
• 5:42
Speaker 1: of one. So with all of this talk of conspiracy
• 5:45
Speaker 1: being thrown around, we're going to have to start seeing
• 5:48
Speaker 1: some co-conspirators. Lawyers representing Mr. Brunel could not be immediately
• 5:56
Speaker 1: contacted at the weekend. But when the latest allegations against
• 5:59
Speaker 1: him emerged in October 2019, they said he firmly contested
• 6:04
Speaker 1: the accusations and was not on the run. And he
• 6:07
Speaker 1: was supposed to sue people, I thought. What happened to that?
• 6:10
Speaker 1: A lot of big talk about suing people until the
• 6:13
Speaker 1: time comes, until you know that discovery phase is going
• 6:17
Speaker 1: to cook your shit. So these people will run their
• 6:21
Speaker 1: mouths about suing people into oblivion, but when the chips
• 6:24
Speaker 1: are down, you see how it all turns out. All
• 6:27
Speaker 1: of these people end up settling out of court. None
• 6:29
Speaker 1: of them want to go to trial, none of them
• 6:31
Speaker 1: want to get hammered, and none of them want discovery.
• 6:36
Speaker 1: Allegations that Mr. Brunel mistreated young models have been in
• 6:39
Speaker 1: the public domain for more than 30 years. The Epstein
• 6:43
Speaker 1: case in the U.S., as well as a hardening in
• 6:46
Speaker 1: France of previously lenient attitudes to sexual abuse and sex
• 6:51
Speaker 1: between adult men and young girls again, brought the accusations
• 6:54
Speaker 1: to the fore. And that's, look, I love to hear this.
• 7:00
Speaker 1: Any place who hardens rules when it comes to predators
• 7:04
Speaker 1: like Jeffrey Epstein or Jean-Luc Brunel, they're definitely going to
• 7:08
Speaker 1: get a nod from me. Because there is no place
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: for this kind of shit. 50, 60-year-old men assaulting 14, 15, 16, 17,
• 7:17
Speaker 1: 18-year-old girls? Hell no. Gross. All of these nasty-ass, gross
• 7:22
Speaker 1: sons of bitches, the Brunels, the Nygaards, the Jeffrey Epsteins
• 7:28
Speaker 1: of the world, there's no place for them on this planet.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: These people all need to be prosecuted to the fullest
• 7:34
Speaker 1: length of the law, the fullest extent of the law,
• 7:37
Speaker 1: and then they all need to be buried underneath the prisons. And,
• 7:41
Speaker 1: by the way, chemically castrated if found guilty. Epstein died
• 7:47
Speaker 1: in jail last year in what was ruled to be
• 7:49
Speaker 1: a suicide after being arrested on federal charges of trafficking
• 7:54
Speaker 1: underage girls. Allegedly. Another of Epstein's former associates, Ghislaine Maxwell,
• 8:01
Speaker 1: daughter of the late British newspaper tycoon Robert Maxwell, was
• 8:06
Speaker 1: arrested in July on charges that she helped him sexually
• 8:09
Speaker 1: abuse underage girls. So we got the same story unfolding
• 8:14
Speaker 1: here with Jean-Luc Brunel, right? The same exact story. So
• 8:18
Speaker 1: this is a huge conspiracy. It spans continents, just like
• 8:23
Speaker 1: I've been saying from the jump. The legacy media is
• 8:29
Speaker 1: out there talking about, oh, this is a conspiracy theory.
• 8:31
Speaker 1: When I said months ago, this has moved on from
• 8:34
Speaker 1: a conspiracy theory fully into the range of criminal conspiracy.
• 8:42
Speaker 1: And that's exactly what we find ourselves with here, folks.
• 8:45
Speaker 1: We have an arrest in France. We have an arrest
• 8:48
Speaker 1: in America. I'm sure that there are other investigations going on, obviously,
• 8:52
Speaker 1: in England. We have Denise George's investigation in the United
• 8:58
Speaker 1: States Virgin Islands. And if some of these other countries
• 9:01
Speaker 1: weren't so corrupt, unfortunately, I'm sure that there would be
• 9:05
Speaker 1: investigations there as well. Dutch woman, Fizia Hoosman, whose accusation
• 9:13
Speaker 1: that she was drugged and raped by Mr. Brunel in
• 9:16
Speaker 1: the early 1990s is covered by a statute of limitations,
• 9:21
Speaker 1: described his arrest as amazing news. And definitely a shout
• 9:25
Speaker 1: out to Thezia. She definitely deserved this day. Just like Virginia.
• 9:30
Speaker 1: Just like all of the other girls. That Jean-Luc Brunel.
• 9:35
Speaker 1: Allegedly helped abuse. So. I'm sure it was a very
• 9:40
Speaker 1: fine day. To wake up to this news. For Thezia.
• 9:43
Speaker 1: For Virginia. And for the rest of the ladies. Who
• 9:46
Speaker 1: were abused by this disgusting son of a bitch. So.
• 9:52
Speaker 1: You know. Every now and then. We have something that
• 9:55
Speaker 1: breaks in this case that is certainly a cause for celebration.
• 9:59
Speaker 1: And whenever one of these key associates is swooped up
• 10:03
Speaker 1: and fitted for bracelets and a federally administered jumpsuit, yeah,
• 10:08
Speaker 1: that's a cause for celebration, folks. I'm weeping with joy.
• 10:13
Speaker 1: 11 women testified against him after me. But all those
• 10:17
Speaker 1: deeds are prescribed by time limits. I hope the police
• 10:21
Speaker 1: have other files from more recent victims. And I'm sure
• 10:24
Speaker 1: they do. They wouldn't have swooped him up if the
• 10:27
Speaker 1: Statue of Limitations was... passed in all of these cases.
• 10:31
Speaker 1: There's obviously new girls who were abused by this guy.
• 10:35
Speaker 1: You don't stop doing this shit. It's like a serial killer.
• 10:38
Speaker 1: You don't just stop killing people. The only way you
• 10:40
Speaker 1: stop is if you get caught or if you die.
• 10:43
Speaker 1: And this guy is not going to stop, right? In
• 10:46
Speaker 1: my opinion, anyway, he is not going to stop. So
• 10:50
Speaker 1: he was probably still abusing girls, probably still abusing these models.
• 10:56
Speaker 1: And now when all of the avalanche of allegations start
• 11:00
Speaker 1: coming out, the news starts breaking around the world about
• 11:04
Speaker 1: his relationship with Epstein, his relationship with Maxwell. Then these
• 11:08
Speaker 1: girls who were abused by him start to see that
• 11:12
Speaker 1: it's okay to come forward. Start to see that they
• 11:15
Speaker 1: don't have to hide in the shadows anymore. That Brunel
• 11:18
Speaker 1: and Epstein and Maxwell can no longer hurt them. So
• 11:24
Speaker 1: they come forward. And new allegations are laid. A new
• 11:28
Speaker 1: investigation is sprung. And we find ourselves with Jean, excuse me, Sean,
• 11:35
Speaker 1: Luke Brunel, sitting in a jail cell. Merry Christmas. In
• 11:43
Speaker 1: October last year, French prosecutors did receive a complaint sufficiently
• 11:47
Speaker 1: recent not to fall under the statute of limitations from
• 11:51
Speaker 1: a woman whom they did not identify. And I'm sure
• 11:54
Speaker 1: it's going to be more. Where there's smoke, there's fire.
• 11:57
Speaker 1: These people don't operate like that, right? Whoa, just one girl,
• 12:01
Speaker 1: never happened again. It's not a mistake, right? You didn't,
• 12:03
Speaker 1: you know, you didn't spend too much money gambling. You
• 12:08
Speaker 1: didn't get too drunk and lose your keys. You sexually
• 12:12
Speaker 1: assaulted somebody, another human being, a living human being with
• 12:16
Speaker 1: dreams and goals and plans, family that loves her, friends
• 12:20
Speaker 1: that love her. And you thought that you could just
• 12:24
Speaker 1: do whatever you wanted. You thought that because if you
• 12:27
Speaker 1: were so powerful, you had so much money that whatever
• 12:30
Speaker 1: you wanted to do was going to be okay. And
• 12:33
Speaker 1: for decades it was. But guess what? Not any longer.
• 12:40
Speaker 1: And the narrative has been snatched. And now the survivors
• 12:46
Speaker 1: are on the offensive. France launched its own inquiry into
• 12:52
Speaker 1: Epstein in August 2019, shortly after the release of a
• 12:56
Speaker 1: 2016 deposition in which one of his survivors, Virginia Roberts,
• 13:01
Speaker 1: said Ms. Maxwell directed her to have sex with at
• 13:04
Speaker 1: least half a dozen prominent men, including Mr. Brunel, who
• 13:09
Speaker 1: headed the agency's Karen Models and MC Squared. Epstein kept
• 13:14
Speaker 1: a luxury apartment on Avenue Folk in central Paris. And
• 13:19
Speaker 1: we also know that him and Harvey old bitch-ass, gross-ass
• 13:22
Speaker 1: Harvey Weinstein had a bit of a kerfuffle at this
• 13:26
Speaker 1: Paris apartment. So how many girls were really abused in
• 13:32
Speaker 1: France by Jeffrey Epstein and Jean-Luc Brunel? How many girls
• 13:36
Speaker 1: that we don't even know about were abused by these
• 13:39
Speaker 1: sick bastards? And for how many decades did the authorities
• 13:44
Speaker 1: look the other way? It's a sad state of affairs
• 13:49
Speaker 1: when we have to wait decades for there to be
• 13:52
Speaker 1: justice in a case such as this. But even though
• 13:58
Speaker 1: it has taken this long, we now find ourselves in
• 14:03
Speaker 1: a place where true justice might be meted out finally.
• 14:12
Speaker 1: These people might finally face repercussions for their behavior. Ghislaine's
• 14:20
Speaker 1: in jail. Epstein's dead. Jean-Luc Brunel is in jail. My
• 14:28
Speaker 1: question is, when are the core four and Indyke and
• 14:33
Speaker 1: Khan going to get the same treatment? If you'd like
• 14:37
Speaker 1: to contact me, you can do that at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com.

Speaker 1: That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can also find me on

• 14:56
Speaker 1: go with this episode can be found in the description box.
• 15:00
Speaker 1: According to a new report out, the French authorities... have
• 15:05
Speaker 1: received new information from the American authorities and they have
• 15:09
Speaker 1: expanded their investigation to also include Ghislaine Maxwell. Now, recently
• 15:16
Speaker 1: we were talking a little bit about France and I
• 15:18
Speaker 1: was wondering what the hell was going on over there.
• 15:21
Speaker 1: And I was talking about how it seemed like there
• 15:24
Speaker 1: was zero movement and pretty much the French authorities had
• 15:28
Speaker 1: moved on to other things, it seemed like. But now
• 15:32
Speaker 1: with this new report from the Daily Mail... Perhaps the
• 15:35
Speaker 1: French authorities are working on this case. Maybe they are
• 15:40
Speaker 1: compiling evidence. And maybe they have their own investigation well underway. Now,
• 15:49
Speaker 1: up until this new report, we haven't heard anything out
• 15:52
Speaker 1: of France, really. We heard, you know, a little bit
• 15:57
Speaker 1: of lip service, but nothing tangible. There was never any
• 16:00
Speaker 1: sort of, like, you know, press conference or anything like that.
• 16:04
Speaker 1: But we'll see what occurs in France. I would think
• 16:08
Speaker 1: that the authorities would be very keen to be involved
• 16:13
Speaker 1: in this investigation considering Epstein was in France quite a bit.
• 16:18
Speaker 1: There might be other girls in Paris who were abused
• 16:21
Speaker 1: that we don't even know about. And with all of
• 16:25
Speaker 1: that added up, you would think that the local authorities
• 16:30
Speaker 1: would would be all over this. They'd be really involved,
• 16:33
Speaker 1: they'd be invested, and they'd be looking for answers. But
• 16:38
Speaker 1: up until today, I was rather skeptical about that. So
• 16:43
Speaker 1: let's jump into this article from the Daily Mail, and
• 16:45
Speaker 1: let's catch up with what's going on in France in
• 16:49
Speaker 1: regards to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. This article is
• 16:55
Speaker 1: from the Daily Mail. Headline, French prosecutors probing Jeffrey Epstein
• 17:01
Speaker 1: over rape and abuse of children in Paris widened probe
• 17:04
Speaker 1: to include Ghislaine Maxwell to see if British socialite was
• 17:09
Speaker 1: involved in his offending. This article was authored by Gemma Carr. Well,
• 17:15
Speaker 1: I would think you'd have to be blind and deaf
• 17:19
Speaker 1: not to understand that Ghislaine Maxwell was involved in Jeffrey
• 17:22
Speaker 1: Epstein's crimes. Now, to the extent that things occurred in France. Look,
• 17:29
  Speaker 1: I don't really know. Again, I don't have any inside
• 17:33
Speaker 1: source within France that's feeding any information my way. But
• 17:37
Speaker 1: it certainly looks like Jeffrey Epstein spent a lot of
• 17:41
Speaker 1: time in France. And we know every other place where
• 17:44
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein spent a significant amount of time, he abused girls.
• 17:52
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell is under investigation by French authorities over allegations
• 17:57
Speaker 1: that she was involved in convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's offending
• 18:01
Speaker 1: in the country. Well, we have the report, right, from
• 18:04
Speaker 1: Virginia when they were in France about how Ghislaine was
• 18:09
Speaker 1: showing her the proper way to groom somebody and had
• 18:13
Speaker 1: that girl over at the house that night. So that's
• 18:16
Speaker 1: just one example. Do you think that was the only
• 18:19
Speaker 1: time it occurred while they were in France? It was
• 18:21
Speaker 1: just a one-off? Or was that something that Ghislaine Maxwell
• 18:24
Speaker 1: and Jeffrey Epstein were up to all the time while
• 18:28
Speaker 1: they were in France? In my opinion, this is not
• 18:32
Speaker 1: something that you do every once in a while. This
• 18:34
Speaker 1: isn't something that you do every now and then. This
• 18:39
Speaker 1: is something that these people were always involved in. They
• 18:42
Speaker 1: were serial offenders. Investigators are looking into claims that Epstein,
• 18:49
Speaker 1: who had a 7 million pound Paris apartment, raped and
• 18:53
Speaker 1: abused minors in the French capital. Look, there have been
• 18:58
Speaker 1: serious claims of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and their
• 19:03
Speaker 1: behavior in Paris. It's nice to see that the French
• 19:08
Speaker 1: authorities are finally kicking themselves into gear here and coming
• 19:12
Speaker 1: out publicly and saying that they're investigating this. It is
• 19:19
Speaker 1: beyond me how the French authorities don't have a huge
• 19:24
Speaker 1: and vast investigation going on here. Then again, maybe they do.
• 19:28
  Speaker 1: Maybe it's a behind-the-scenes situation and we just don't know
• 19:31
Speaker 1: anything about it. I guess that's possible, right? It has
• 19:37
Speaker 1: now been revealed that Maxwell is also being probed by
• 19:40
Speaker 1: prosecutors who received information from U.S. investigators. So what that
• 19:45
Speaker 1: tells us, if we're reading in between the lines... is
• 19:47
Speaker 1: that the channels of communication are open between the authorities
• 19:51
Speaker 1: in the United States and in other places like Paris,
• 19:55
Speaker 1: obviously London. And I wouldn't be shocked if they're talking
• 19:58
Speaker 1: to authorities in some of the Eastern European countries where
• 20:02
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was active as well. So I, I, Honestly,
• 20:07
Speaker 1: I don't know how there isn't an investigation in every
• 20:11
Speaker 1: single place where Epstein was active. Because if I was
• 20:14
Speaker 1: the local authorities, I would be all over that to
• 20:17
Speaker 1: try and find any crimes that were committed in my country.
• 20:25
Speaker 1: So I would hope that any of these countries where
• 20:30
Speaker 1: these crimes allegedly were committed would be fully invested in
• 20:34
Speaker 1: trying to get to the bottom of this. A source
• 20:38
Speaker 1: told the Mirror, both Epstein and Maxwell have a long
• 20:41
Speaker 1: history and many connections to France. Of course they do.
• 20:45
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, her family comes from France. They have a
• 20:49
Speaker 1: lot of connections in France. They have a lot of
• 20:52
Speaker 1: connections everywhere. As detectives dug further into allegations against him,
• 20:57
Speaker 1: and after receiving information from U.S. investigators, they launched their
• 21:02
Speaker 1: own probe into Maxwell. It is ongoing. That's definitely refreshing.
• 21:06
Speaker 1: I really hope that the French also bring charges against her.
• 21:10
Speaker 1: That would be awesome. Every one of these countries where
• 21:13
Speaker 1: they were active should have charges drawn up and they
• 21:17
Speaker 1: should try all of these people in their countries as well.
• 21:21
Speaker 1: It's absurd to think that these people thought that they
• 21:24
Speaker 1: could go from country to country, continent to continent and
• 21:28
Speaker 1: abuse people and traffic children and launder money and there
• 21:31
Speaker 1: would be zero repercussions. Maxwell, who was accused of being
• 21:38
Speaker 1: Epstein's madam, co-conspirator, fellow child abuser, general all-around scuzzbag, and
• 21:44
Speaker 1: bipedal serpent, has French, British, and American citizenship, and was
• 21:49
Speaker 1: born in a well-off area on the fringes of Paris.
• 21:54
Speaker 1: So you see why it's important that the Parisians are involved?
• 21:56
Speaker 1: That the Parisian authorities... yet on this case, because they
• 22:02
Speaker 1: might have some intricate knowledge. They might have something there
• 22:06
Speaker 1: that we don't know about as far as the case goes.
• 22:11
Speaker 1: So I think it's very important that especially London, Paris,
• 22:17
Speaker 1: as well as the United States are very invested in
• 22:20
Speaker 1: getting to the bottom of this. French model agent Jean-Luc
• 22:25
Speaker 1: Brunel is said to be a close friend of Maxwell's.
• 22:29
Speaker 1: With the pair both appearing... In Epstein's contact book... And
• 22:32
Speaker 1: on the flight logs of his private jets... Look... Jean-Luc
• 22:36
Speaker 1: Brunel has been in the spotlight... Since the 80's for
• 22:39
Speaker 1: abusing girls... Never mind... His absurd behavior... With Jeffrey Epstein...
• 22:46
Speaker 1: And the way they... Worked in concert... To not only
• 22:50
Speaker 1: abuse these girls... But to bring them in from other...
• 22:54
Speaker 1: War torn... Poor countries... By lying to them and saying
• 23:00
Speaker 1: they were going to make them these great models. And
• 23:02
Speaker 1: then when they would get here, they'd be in an
• 23:04
Speaker 1: apartment eight deep. And their job really wasn't modeling. It
• 23:08
Speaker 1: was to go and be basically escorts. That is the
• 23:12
Speaker 1: fate that Jean-Luc Brunel provided these aspiring models. Brunel has
• 23:20
Speaker 1: previously denied allegations that he procured and raped underage girls.
• 23:24
Speaker 1: He has been accused of giving three French girls... all
• 23:27
Speaker 1: age 12, to Epstein on the pedophile's birthday. You would
• 23:31
Speaker 1: think that alone would have the French authorities going batshit crazy.
• 23:35
  Speaker 1: I know if I was a politician and I heard
• 23:37
Speaker 1: a story about this pedophile who provided three 12-year-old girls
• 23:44
Speaker 1: from my country to a man in America, I would
• 23:48
Speaker 1: be going apeshit trying to figure out what's what, who
• 23:51
Speaker 1: these girls were, where they're from, what their fate was.
• 23:57
Speaker 1: And then I'd be trying to get statements from them
• 24:00
Speaker 1: to take down Bruno. How this man has been able
• 24:03
Speaker 1: to exist in this vacuum for so long without anything
• 24:06
Speaker 1: happening to him, without him ever being held accountable, is
• 24:09
Speaker 1: just mind-boggling. He's just a talent scout, just a model guy.
• 24:14
Speaker 1: So why is he so well-protected? He said, I strongly
• 24:19
Speaker 1: deny having committed any illicit act or any wrongdoing in
• 24:23
Speaker 1: the course of my work as a scouter or model
• 24:26
Speaker 1: agency's manager. Yeah, okay, sure, buddy. We really believe you.
• 24:29
Speaker 1: We believe you, of course. That's, yes, that's, your story
• 24:35
Speaker 1: is just exactly the truth, right? What you're saying is just,
• 24:38
Speaker 1: it's completely believable because there's no evidence that you were
• 24:42
Speaker 1: an absolute disgusting abuser. No, we'll just go with your story,
• 24:47
Speaker 1: your narrative. These people are crazy. Ghislaine Maxwell first met
• 24:54
Speaker 1: Epstein in the 90s and they struck up a relationship.
• 24:57
Speaker 1: Debatable at best. We know that there is a lot
• 25:01
Speaker 1: more to the establishment of that relationship than what has
• 25:04
Speaker 1: been previously reported. We know that her pops, Robert Maxwell,
• 25:09
Speaker 1: was a big influence on bringing these two together. The
• 25:14
Speaker 1: disgraced American financier, pedophile, was found dead in his New
• 25:18
Speaker 1: York prison cell on August 10, 2019, as he awaited
• 25:22
Speaker 1: his trial on sex trafficking charges. Maxwell has been accused
• 25:26
Speaker 1: of abusing and grooming three female minors and was arrested
• 25:29
Speaker 1: in July by the FBI. Prior to that, it was
• 25:33
Speaker 1: understood that she was hiding out in France. Under French law,
• 25:37
Speaker 1: anyone born on French soil is safe from extradition to
• 25:40
Speaker 1: another country regardless of the alleged crime. Sorry, she was
• 25:45
Speaker 1: never in France. That didn't occur. That never happened. That
• 25:49
Speaker 1: was just a bunch of BS reporting. We sniffed that
• 25:53
Speaker 1: out from the very beginning around these parts as well. Oh, well,
• 25:57
Speaker 1: we saw her ring and we knew... Stop it, okay?
• 26:01
Speaker 1: In June, it was reported that she moved into a
• 26:03
Speaker 1: flat on Avenue Matignon in Paris' 8th arrondissement, a wealthy
• 26:09
Speaker 1: part of the city dotted with upmarket retail shops. The
• 26:13
Speaker 1: property was a short five-minute drive from Epstein's seven million
• 26:18
Speaker 1: pound pad on Avenue Folk. It never happened. She was
• 26:23
Speaker 1: in America. The authorities in America were keeping a keen
• 26:28
Speaker 1: eye on her to make sure she didn't dip, split,
• 26:30
Speaker 1: or duck and dodge. And when the time was right,
• 26:33
Speaker 1: they pounced on her. There was zero chance that she
• 26:36
Speaker 1: was getting out of the country by conventional means. A
• 26:40
Speaker 1: source told The Sun at the time, Ghislaine is moving
• 26:43
Speaker 1: locations every month to keep private investigators off her tail
• 26:46
Speaker 1: and is staying at the residences of trusted colleagues and contacts.
• 26:50
Speaker 1: She wants to remain in France for as long as
• 26:52
Speaker 1: she can to take advantage of extradition laws and has
• 26:55
Speaker 1: a huge network of contacts willing to keep her hidden. Now,
• 26:58
Speaker 1: remember when I talked about the Montreal connection? This all
• 27:02
Speaker 1: goes into it. The connections that Ghislaine Maxwell has in
• 27:05
Speaker 1: Paris and Montreal cannot be overlooked. And it's my opinion
• 27:12
Speaker 1: that the reason she was in New Hampshire was because
• 27:15
Speaker 1: it was just a hop, skip and a jump to
• 27:17
Speaker 1: get over the border into Montreal and then out to France.
• 27:22
Speaker 1: But she was caught before that could occur. The FBI
• 27:26
Speaker 1: and the authorities swooped in and Ghislaine Maxwell and any
• 27:31
Speaker 1: plans of fleeing. Well, that was all crushed under heel.
• 27:38
Speaker 1: It was this week revealed that Maxwell's family has launched
• 27:41
Speaker 1: a campaign to get her out of jail, claiming she's
• 27:43
Speaker 1: lost considerable weight and her human rights were violated. Yeah,
• 27:47
Speaker 1: we talked about that as well. Nobody cares about your
• 27:49
Speaker 1: human rights, Ghislaine Maxwell. You're being treated just like any
• 27:52
Speaker 1: other convict would be treated, like any other prisoner. No worse,
• 27:56
Speaker 1: no less. If you didn't want to end up in jail,
• 28:00
Speaker 1: you should not have cavorted with Jeffrey Epstein. Pretty damn simple.
• 28:07
Speaker 1: Operation GGO, a campaign to get Ghislaine out from her
• 28:10
Speaker 1: Brooklyn prison cell, comes after she previously sought release this
• 28:14
Speaker 1: summer on a 5 million, 3.4 million pound bail related
• 28:19
Speaker 1: to sex trafficking charges. Yeah, that operation is going to
• 28:23
Speaker 1: be an absolute failure. She maintained her innocence, but the
• 28:27
Speaker 1: Manhattan judge deemed her a flight risk, considering she had
• 28:30
Speaker 1: evaded capture for nearly a year. She is absolutely a
• 28:35
Speaker 1: flight risk. Somebody that holds foreign passports, especially a passport
• 28:39
Speaker 1: to a country that does not extradite for any crime. Yeah,
• 28:42
Speaker 1: that person is a flight risk and they do not
• 28:45
Speaker 1: deserve to be out of jail. Sorry. Brian Basham, a
• 28:50
Speaker 1: family friend and a PR professional, has set out to
• 28:53
Speaker 1: free Maxwell from the cruel and vindictive treatment she's allegedly
• 28:57
Speaker 1: received at the hands of U.S. authorities. Oh, so evil.
• 29:02
Speaker 1: Her treatment is so bad. She's being kept by herself.
• 29:05
Speaker 1: She has to eat whatever food that they give her.
• 29:08
Speaker 1: She's wearing paper clothes. And they took her scale away
• 29:12
Speaker 1: from her. Nobody cares, Brian Basham. Nobody gives two shits, okay?
• 29:18
Speaker 1: Here's what we care about. The fact that your friend,
• 29:22
Speaker 1: your buddy, Ghislaine Maxwell, was on a decades-long crime spree
• 29:26
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein... And not only were they on a
• 29:29
Speaker 1: crime spree, they were being protected from on high. So
• 29:33
Speaker 1: nobody cares now that things have caught up with her.
• 29:36
Speaker 1: Nobody cares now that the slow wheels of justice are grinding.
• 29:41
Speaker 1: We all say it's about time. Basham alleged that the heiress, co-conspirator,
• 29:48
Speaker 1: fellow child abuser, general all around scuzzbag and bipedal serpent
• 29:52
Speaker 1: has lost 25 pounds since she was placed in custody.
• 29:55
Speaker 1: Because guards won't accommodate her vegan diet, the Telegraph reports. Sorry,
• 29:59
Speaker 1: no lettuce wraps for you, Ghislaine. Enjoy the bologna sandwich.
• 30:05
Speaker 1: She has lost 25 pounds in jail, but when she complained,
• 30:08
Speaker 1: they took away her weighing machine so she could not
• 30:11
Speaker 1: weigh herself, he told the newspaper. Again, why does she
• 30:14
Speaker 1: have a quote-unquote weighing machine? Don't you mean scale, you
• 30:18
Speaker 1: epic ninny? A weighing machine? I mean, what is she,
• 30:23
Speaker 1: a drug dealer? She's out there weighing out quarters, grams,
• 30:26
Speaker 1: and ounces? What do you mean a weighing machine? Basham
• 30:31
Speaker 1: also alleged that prison officials forced Maxwell to wear clothes
• 30:34
Speaker 1: made from paper and banned her from wearing bras over
• 30:37
Speaker 1: fears she's a suicide risk. So what does she want
• 30:41
Speaker 1: to wear? Some Gucci in there? She wants to wear
• 30:43
Speaker 1: a Gucci prison outfit? Maybe a Versace prison outfit? Sorry,
• 30:48
Speaker 1: you're getting the state-issued paper clothing and you'll like it.
• 30:54
Speaker 1: The concerns echoed those of Jeffrey Epstein, who died by suicide, allegedly,
• 30:58
Speaker 1: in a Manhattan jail cell last year while awaiting trial. Epstein,
• 31:03
Speaker 1: a New York financier, pedophile, whose reputation was marred with
• 31:07
Speaker 1: allegations of child molestation, was indicted on sex trafficking and
• 31:11
Speaker 1: conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking charges. He was repeatedly
• 31:17
Speaker 1: accused of the vile act throughout his adult life and
• 31:20
Speaker 1: pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution in Florida
• 31:23
Speaker 1: in in 2008. Well, you all know it comes after that, right?
• 31:28
Speaker 1: There's no such thing as a minor who is a prostitute.
• 31:32
Speaker 1: A minor is not somebody who can be a prostitute, okay?
• 31:37
Speaker 1: He was awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in
• 31:41
Speaker 1: New York City when he committed suicide, allegedly, by hanging
• 31:45
Speaker 1: inside his jail cell in August 2019. Epstein's death rocked
• 31:51
Speaker 1: the country and was a shocking blow for a number
• 31:53
Speaker 1: of his survivors who had come forward. 100%. And that
• 31:57
Speaker 1: is why, Brian Basham and Ghislaine Maxwell, that these rules
• 32:03
Speaker 1: are in place to make sure that your good friend,
• 32:07
Speaker 1: the bipedal serpent, Ghislaine Maxwell, is ready to stand trial
• 32:13
Speaker 1: and face justice. If you'd like to contact me, you

• 32:34
Speaker 1: All right, everybody, all of the links that go with
• 32:36
Speaker 1: this episode can be found in the description box. This
• 32:40
Speaker 1: article was authored by Angela Charlton. And it originally appeared
• 32:47
Speaker 1: in the Associated Press, but we're reading it off of
• 32:51
Speaker 1: ABC News. This article was published on February 10th, 2021.
• 32:56
Speaker 1: I don't know how I missed this one. Usually these
• 33:00
Speaker 1: ones pop right up and I add them to the
• 33:02
Speaker 1: pile so we can get to them. But somehow I
• 33:04
Speaker 1: missed this one until just recently. So here we are.
• 33:10
Speaker 1: France's government wants to set the age of sexual consent
• 33:13
Speaker 1: at 15 and make it easier to punish long-ago child
• 33:17
Speaker 1: sexual abuse amid growing public pressure and a wave of
• 33:21
Speaker 1: online testimonies about rape and other sexual violence by parents
• 33:26
Speaker 1: and authority figures. That shit is chilling, man. And, you know,
• 33:30
Speaker 1: we don't talk about it a lot on this podcast
• 33:33
Speaker 1: because we're talking about one case in particular. But a
• 33:38
Speaker 1: lot of this sexual violence does happen in the home.
• 33:41
Speaker 1: And most of it happens from somebody that these girls
• 33:44
Speaker 1: or boys know. So it's a big problem around the world.
• 33:49
Speaker 1: Certainly not just in America. And certainly not just in France.
• 33:53
Speaker 1: And we need to make sure that we're holding people responsible.
• 33:57
Speaker 1: if they're abusing the most vulnerable amongst us, the youngest
• 34:00
Speaker 1: amongst us, those who have not had any time to
• 34:05
Speaker 1: really live life or know right from wrong. These are
• 34:10
Speaker 1: the people that need to be rounded up and these
• 34:13
Speaker 1: are the people that need to face the music. And
• 34:16
Speaker 1: as far as statutes of limitation, when we're talking about
• 34:22
Speaker 1: actual rape and this kind of thing, that needs to
• 34:26
Speaker 1: be looked at every single case needs to be unique
• 34:30
Speaker 1: in my opinion and if the evidence is there and
• 34:34
Speaker 1: there's actual evidence then i don't think it should matter
• 34:37
Speaker 1: how long ago it was if you have tangible evidence
• 34:41
Speaker 1: um physical evidence eyewitness testimony then i think that's enough
• 34:46
Speaker 1: now if there's no evidence and you know it's he
• 34:51
Speaker 1: said she said then obviously that's a different a different
• 34:54
Speaker 1: situation But when you have something this pervasive and so
• 34:58
Speaker 1: many people are coming forward and so many people are
• 35:01
Speaker 1: saying that this occurred, well, I think that a special
• 35:07
Speaker 1: look should be had. Finally was the refrain Wednesday from
• 35:14
Speaker 1: survivors and child protection activists who have long pushed for
• 35:18
Speaker 1: tougher laws and greater societal recognition of the problem. That's
• 35:23
Speaker 1: definitely an issue. Society needs to recognize this issue. One
• 35:27
Speaker 1: of the things is, it's a very uncomfortable subject to
• 35:30
Speaker 1: talk about, and it's even more uncomfortable to research it.
• 35:34
Speaker 1: So I understand why society as a whole kind of,
• 35:38
Speaker 1: you know, looks the other way. Until it's shoved in
• 35:41
Speaker 1: front of their face, most people don't want to think
• 35:43
Speaker 1: about this shit. And guess what? I was most people.
• 35:47
Speaker 1: I didn't want to think about This abuse, this rampant
• 35:50
Speaker 1: abuse to children and women and boys. And who wants
• 35:54
Speaker 1: to think about this? Who wants to exist in a
• 35:56
Speaker 1: world where this occurs? Certainly not me. But sometimes, like
• 36:03
Speaker 1: in the Matrix, when you eat that red pill, there
• 36:06
Speaker 1: is no going back. And now that the door has
• 36:09
Speaker 1: been opened, I think it would be absolutely disgusting on
• 36:13
Speaker 1: my part to not recognize the problem and not to...
• 36:18
Speaker 1: do whatever part that I can to make sure that
• 36:23
Speaker 1: this stuff does not occur in the future. And I
• 36:26
Speaker 1: feel like for me, my little part is to bring
• 36:31
Speaker 1: some light to some of these issues that maybe aren't
• 36:34
Speaker 1: getting that much coverage. And once I crack that door
• 36:37
Speaker 1: open a little, all of you who are out there
• 36:39
Speaker 1: listening to the show, you guys, you know, dig in,
• 36:41
Speaker 1: you kick in the door and you start digging deeper.
• 36:45
Speaker 1: And that's how all of this stuff works, right? So
• 36:49
Speaker 1: it's about time that people are taking note of this,
• 36:54
Speaker 1: and I think it's a worthy discussion to have. If
• 36:58
Speaker 1: we're going to talk about such mundane things as steroids
• 37:05
Speaker 1: and baseball in Congress, then I think stuff like this
• 37:08
Speaker 1: most certainly warrants a look. France's lack of an age
• 37:14
Speaker 1: of consent, along with statues of limitations, have complicated efforts
• 37:18
Speaker 1: to prosecute alleged perpetrators, including a prominent modeling agent, a
• 37:23
Speaker 1: predatory priest, a surgeon, and a group of firefighters accused
• 37:27
Speaker 1: of systematic sexual abuse. It sounds like some kind of
• 37:33
Speaker 1: terrible joke, right? So a modeling agent, a predatory priest,
• 37:37
Speaker 1: a surgeon, and a group of firefighters accused of systematic
• 37:41
Speaker 1: sexual abuse walk into a bar. I mean, holy cow, folks.
• 37:46
Speaker 1: It shows you that this is occurring at every single
• 37:49
Speaker 1: walk of life. And most of us are walking around
• 37:53
Speaker 1: in a cloud, not even recognizing what's going on. Calling
• 38:00
Speaker 1: such treatment of children intolerable, the Justice Ministry said the
• 38:03
Speaker 1: government is determined to act quickly to implement the changes
• 38:07
Speaker 1: that our society expects. So that definitely bodes well. If
• 38:12
Speaker 1: the Justice Ministry themselves are saying this and they're going
• 38:16
Speaker 1: to be proactive and they're going to look to push
• 38:20
Speaker 1: the envelope here and make the changes that are necessary,
• 38:24
Speaker 1: then I think that is a very, very good thing.
• 38:28
Speaker 1: Because like I said, speaking to the few people in
• 38:31
Speaker 1: France that I know and the few content creators that
• 38:35
Speaker 1: I know that are from France, they certainly say that
• 38:38
Speaker 1: the people of France are sick of this shit too.
• 38:42
Speaker 1: That the average folk, like everywhere else, are sick of
• 38:45
Speaker 1: the predator class, aka the so-called elite, acting in a
• 38:50
Speaker 1: predatory manner towards our children, the most vulnerable amongst us,
• 38:55
Speaker 1: to everybody who they consider less than. An act of
• 39:01
Speaker 1: sexual penetration by an adult on a minor under 15
• 39:05
Speaker 1: will be considered a rape, Justice Minister Eric Dupont Moretti
• 39:10
Speaker 1: said Tuesday on France 2 television. Perpetrators could no longer
• 39:14
Speaker 1: cite consent to diminish the charges, he said, though exceptions
• 39:17
Speaker 1: would be made for teenagers having consensual sex. I think
• 39:21
Speaker 1: that's proper. Again, teenagers that are having consensual sex, a
• 39:25
  Speaker 1: 19 year old and a 16 year old I think
• 39:28
Speaker 1: that there's a lot of gray area there and we
• 39:30
Speaker 1: all know that teenagers are let's be real pretty stupid
• 39:34
Speaker 1: so I think it's a good idea to not have
• 39:37
Speaker 1: one absolute law over everything You have to look at
• 39:41
Speaker 1: each situation in a unique manner, right? But when it
• 39:44
Speaker 1: comes to these old ass men, these gross ass, disgusting ass,
• 39:49
Speaker 1: decrepit ass, physically disgusting ass mofos, well, these people need
• 39:55
Speaker 1: to be held to account for what they're doing. They
• 39:57
Speaker 1: know exactly what's going on. They're out here grooming these girls,
• 40:00
Speaker 1: buying them gifts, this, that, and the other thing. They
• 40:05
Speaker 1: have one purpose in mind, and that's to sexually assault
• 40:08
Speaker 1: and manipulate these girls... through the grooming process. Meanwhile, the
• 40:15
Speaker 1: 19-year-old knucklehead, well, we all know the deal there, right?
• 40:18
Speaker 1: We all know what the 19-year-old's looking for. The change
• 40:24
Speaker 1: still needs to be enshrined in law, but the announcement
• 40:27
Speaker 1: is a major step. Now, with everything else, when it
• 40:30
Speaker 1: comes to lawmakers, let's see what they have to say.
• 40:33
Speaker 1: Let's see what they do. Let's see if the French,
• 40:36
  Speaker 1: I guess, Parliament, I don't know, whatever it's called. Let's
• 40:39
Speaker 1: see what they have to say about all of this.
• 40:42
Speaker 1: And let's see if they have the backbone to initiate
• 40:45
Speaker 1: it and to make sure that it has teeth. The
• 40:50
Speaker 1: world is certainly watching. It's very good that there is
• 40:56
Speaker 1: this revived debate, that there is an idea of a
• 40:59
Speaker 1: minimum age of consent, said Fatima Benamar, whose group, Les Affrontis,
• 41:05
Speaker 1: has pushed for stronger laws against sexual abusers. This will
• 41:09
Speaker 1: make adults more responsible. Hey, whoa, what do you know
• 41:12
Speaker 1: about that, huh? Responsibility for adults? Come on, this is
• 41:17
Speaker 1: the year 2021. I thought that went out the window.
• 41:19
  Speaker 1: I thought it's society's problem and there's no more self-responsibility.
• 41:26
Speaker 1: Refreshing to see that people are actually saying, you know, hey,
• 41:29
Speaker 1: you have to be responsible for your actions. I know,
• 41:35
Speaker 1: I know it's such a novel idea, but you would
• 41:39
Speaker 1: think that in the year 2021, we would all be
• 41:42
Speaker 1: at the same point to know that we're responsible ultimately
• 41:46
Speaker 1: for the things that we do. An effort to set
• 41:51
Speaker 1: France's first age of consent three years ago in the
• 41:54
Speaker 1: wake of the global Me Too movement failed amid legal complications.
• 41:59
Speaker 1: Let me break that down for you. It failed because
• 42:01
Speaker 1: the elite of France didn't want to give up their
• 42:04
Speaker 1: predatory nature. Unfortunately, that's what it was. Well, you don't
• 42:07
Speaker 1: think they were pressuring the politicians? And the politicians, for
• 42:10
Speaker 1: their part, how many sick bastards are amongst them? I'm
• 42:14
Speaker 1: sure many, folks. So it's no shock to me that
• 42:17
Speaker 1: it failed the first time around. But it has gained
• 42:22
Speaker 1: new momentum since accusations emerged last month of incestuous sexual
• 42:27
Speaker 1: abuse involving a prominent French political expert, Oliver Duhamel, that
• 42:33
Speaker 1: unleashed an online MeToo incest movement in France that led
• 42:37
Speaker 1: to tens of thousands of similar testimonies. All right, hang on,
• 42:42
Speaker 1: pump the brakes. Tens of thousands of similar testimonies? What
• 42:48
Speaker 1: in the hell is going on in France? There's that
• 42:53
Speaker 1: much incest going on here? I mean, we have that
• 42:57
Speaker 1: many people with Habsburg jaws running around at this point?
• 43:00
Speaker 1: What in the hell, France? Tens of thousands? That's really disturbing, folks, honestly,
• 43:05
Speaker 1: all kidding aside. And it goes to show you that
• 43:10
Speaker 1: it's a pervasive problem in France and elsewhere, and it's
• 43:14
Speaker 1: about time that the French authorities... Start to take notice
• 43:18
Speaker 1: of this. But be very vigilant and take a look
• 43:25
Speaker 1: at what prompted all of this. It was the backlash
• 43:28
Speaker 1: from the people, aka you. So when I say one
• 43:32
Speaker 1: gnat doesn't mean shit, but 10 million gnats can drown people,
• 43:36
Speaker 1: this is exactly what I mean. When we get together
• 43:39
Speaker 1: and we demand stuff like this as citizens, they have
• 43:42
Speaker 1: to take notice. The Justice Ministry is in discussions with
• 43:48
Speaker 1: survivor groups about toughening punishment of incestuous abuse and extending
• 43:53
Speaker 1: or abolishing the statute of limitations on sexual violence against
• 43:57
Speaker 1: children because it creates such deep trauma that it can
• 44:00
Speaker 1: take decades for survivors to speak out. The law currently
• 44:04
Speaker 1: allows child victims to file complaints until they are 48. Wow.
• 44:10
Speaker 1: All of that is just so disturbing. And the fact
• 44:15
Speaker 1: that it takes so long for a lot of these
• 44:17
Speaker 1: people to come out and speak about the trauma that
• 44:19
Speaker 1: they went through just goes to the fact that there
• 44:22
Speaker 1: are so many girls and women that were abused by
• 44:27
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein that still haven't come to grips with it,
• 44:30
Speaker 1: that still have not come forward. And that really disturbs me.
• 44:34
Speaker 1: It's one of the most disturbing chapters of this whole
• 44:38
Speaker 1: entire story, in my opinion. The ministry also says it
• 44:44
Speaker 1: wants to ensure that survivors of the same perpetrator do
• 44:47
Speaker 1: not receive different legal treatment, which could broaden the scope
• 44:51
Speaker 1: to prosecute those accused of abusing multiple people over decades.
• 44:56
Speaker 1: So they want to make sure it's uniformed. They want
• 44:59
Speaker 1: to make sure if someone's getting the book thrown at them,
• 45:02
Speaker 1: that it is a uniformed process. And it's about time
• 45:06
Speaker 1: that France gets their house in order in this regard,
• 45:08
Speaker 1: in my opinion. Very, very... It's been a very long
• 45:11
Speaker 1: time coming, in my opinion. Legal time limits have hampered
• 45:18
Speaker 1: French authorities' ability to investigate an influential cardinal, Philippe Barbarin,
• 45:24
Speaker 1: convicted then acquitted of covering up for a predatory priest.
• 45:29
Speaker 1: Modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, an associate of disgraced late U.S. financier,
• 45:34
Speaker 1: pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, accused of an array of sex crimes...
• 45:39
Speaker 1: and surgeon Joelle La Scorneck, convicted after accusations he sexually
• 45:45
Speaker 1: abused more than 300 children over decades, as well as
• 45:50
Speaker 1: other less prominent cases. And we see it in America, too.
• 45:54
Speaker 1: We see it with Michigan State, the athletic trainer from
• 45:59
Speaker 1: Michigan State. We've seen it at Ohio State in the
• 46:02
Speaker 1: wrestling room. And how many other situations have we seen
• 46:06
Speaker 1: that are very similar to situations just like this? So again,
• 46:11
Speaker 1: this is not an American problem. This is not a
• 46:13
Speaker 1: French problem. This is not just an English problem. This
• 46:17
Speaker 1: is a world problem. And all of us together have
• 46:20
Speaker 1: to stand tall before the wagon and demand that these
• 46:23
Speaker 1: sons of bitches are held responsible. One of Brunel's alleged survivors,
• 46:32
Speaker 1: former model... Fizia Housman welcomed the proposed reform, even though
• 46:36
Speaker 1: it's too late for her to seek justice for the
• 46:38
Speaker 1: rape she says she suffered as a teenager. And while
• 46:42
Speaker 1: Fizia can't physically get the justice for herself that she deserves,
• 46:48
Speaker 1: I hope that she gets justice vicariously through these other
• 46:53
Speaker 1: girls who are coming forward and ultimately through the prosecution
• 46:57
Speaker 1: and conviction of Jean-Luc Brunel. It feels empowering, and that's
• 47:04
Speaker 1: really important, she said. I thought nothing was ever going
• 47:08
Speaker 1: to change. Hussman came forward and testified to police in
• 47:11
Speaker 1: hopes of eliciting change and encouraging other alleged survivors to
• 47:15
Speaker 1: speak out. It's really important to me as a victim,
• 47:19
Speaker 1: a survivor, that we came forward as a group, she said,
• 47:23
Speaker 1: and she was not wrong about that. Look, I remember
• 47:26
Speaker 1: when Thisia first came forward, very bravely, And it is
• 47:32
Speaker 1: the sort of thing that's needed. Somebody needs to pick
• 47:34
Speaker 1: up the mantle and lead the charge. And when it
• 47:37
Speaker 1: comes to these girls who have basically been forced to
• 47:40
Speaker 1: live in the shadows and live with what happened to them,
• 47:45
Speaker 1: hanging over them for all of these years, it must
• 47:47
Speaker 1: be empowering to now emerge and snatch the narrative back
• 47:51
Speaker 1: and say, look, enough is enough. You've abused us for decades.
• 47:56
Speaker 1: Now we're going to take the center of the octagon.
• 47:59
Speaker 1: We're going to bite down on our mouthpiece and we're
• 48:02
Speaker 1: going to come forward and throw bombs. And that's exactly
• 48:06
Speaker 1: what's going on here, folks, right? These dudes, meaning Epstein
• 48:11
Speaker 1: and all of his cohorts and all of his criminal associates,
• 48:14
Speaker 1: they dumped their gas tank in two rounds and it
• 48:17
Speaker 1: was a rough two rounds, right? Battered and bruised. All
• 48:21
Speaker 1: kinds of situations where the fight was almost over. But
• 48:27
Speaker 1: it's a five-round fight, isn't it? Got back to the stool,
• 48:31
Speaker 1: got a bit of attention, came back out for the
• 48:34
Speaker 1: third round, the championship rounds on their way, and well,
• 48:39
Speaker 1: took the initiative. And that's exactly what's going on right
• 48:43
Speaker 1: here and right now as these survivors have had enough
• 48:46
Speaker 1: and they all band together to fight back. France's highest
• 48:52
Speaker 1: court considered a case Wednesday involving a woman who said
• 48:55
Speaker 1: multiple firefighters raped her when she was between the ages
• 48:58
Speaker 1: of 13 and 15. A lower court downgraded the charges
• 49:02
Speaker 1: to sexual assault, but her lawyers want them reclassified as rape. Uh, yeah,
• 49:08
Speaker 1: if she was raped by these firefighters, then it should
• 49:11
Speaker 1: be classified as rape. I don't know. Again, technicalities and loopholes, folks.
• 49:16
Speaker 1: I mean, how often do we have to see them?
• 49:19
Speaker 1: And obviously, once again, it's not just America that is
• 49:21
Speaker 1: plagued by this. Under current French law, sexual relations between
• 49:28
Speaker 1: an adult and a minor under 15 are banned. Yet
• 49:32
Speaker 1: the law accepts the possibility that someone under 15 is
• 49:35
Speaker 1: capable of consenting to sex... leading to cases where an
• 49:39
Speaker 1: adult is prosecuted for sexual assault instead of rape and
• 49:43
Speaker 1: therefore faces a lighter prison sentence. You know, I don't
• 49:46
Speaker 1: have enough information on all of that to have a
• 49:49
  Speaker 1: proper opinion. But if you're a 38-year-old dude, 27-year-old dude,
• 49:53
  Speaker 1: 26-year-old dude, you shouldn't be messing around with a 15-year-old
• 49:57
Speaker 1: in my opinion. There's really no gray area there from
• 49:59
Speaker 1: where I'm sitting. And again, I don't know enough about
• 50:04
Speaker 1: this Duhamel case to really get into the weeds, but
• 50:06
Speaker 1: it's unfortunately the same MO and the same scenario we
• 50:34
Speaker 1: see play out over and over again, right? These people
• 50:38
Speaker 1: who were abused take decades in some cases to come
• 50:41
Speaker 1: out and build up the courage to speak out considering
• 50:46
Speaker 1: what they've been through. But once they get to that point,
• 50:50
Speaker 1: once they get over the hump and they reach the summit,
• 50:53
Speaker 1: they are unstoppable. And you see that with all of
• 50:57
Speaker 1: these brave survivors that have come forward and told their story. Duhamel,
• 51:04
Speaker 1: saying he was the target of personal attacks, stepped down
• 51:07
Speaker 1: from his many professional positions, including a TV commentator and
• 51:11
Speaker 1: head of National Foundation of Political Sciences. The foundation manages
• 51:16
Speaker 1: the prestigious sciences, Pau University in Paris, whose director, Frédéric Mion,
• 51:22
Speaker 1: resigned this week amid the fallout from the affair, which
• 51:25
Speaker 1: entangled multiple people among France's elite. Well, that shouldn't shock
• 51:31
Speaker 1: anybody out there. It's not just one of these people, right,
• 51:35
Speaker 1: that's acting like this. As disturbing as it may be,
• 51:39
Speaker 1: this is obviously the accepted behavior in so-called polite society.
• 51:45
Speaker 1: This is how they all conduct themselves. So why should
• 51:48
Speaker 1: they act surprised or disgusted when one of their buddies
• 51:53
Speaker 1: are caught? Who knows what these scumbags are really doing
• 51:57
Speaker 1: behind the shadows, folks. We've just gotten a small little glimpse, right?
• 52:04
Speaker 1: Since the Duhamel accusation surfaced, searing accounts of alleged incestuous
• 52:08
Speaker 1: abuse filled social networks. This is disturbing shit right here.
• 52:12
  Speaker 1: I can't, it's just, it's hard for me to fathom
• 52:15
Speaker 1: how anyone could look at a relative or a little
• 52:18
Speaker 1: child and be like, oh yeah, this is a good
• 52:20
Speaker 1: looking person. I just, the revulsion that I feel even
• 52:27
Speaker 1: thinking about it. Other prominent figures in French cinema and
• 52:31
Speaker 1: politics have also been accused. The movement spawned an offshoot,
• 52:36
Speaker 1: hashtag MeTooGayWave in France, of long-suppressed testimonies of sexual abuse
• 52:41
Speaker 1: by older men. Yeah, look, a lot of these abusers
• 52:45
  Speaker 1: are sick-ass, gross-ass, old-ass men. And that's not even up
• 52:51
Speaker 1: for debate. Those are just the facts. And the abuse
• 52:57
Speaker 1: that occurs to young homosexual men is off the charts.
• 53:02
Speaker 1: Absolutely off the charts and it's unacceptable. The World Health
• 53:08
Speaker 1: Organization says international studies show that 1 in 5 women
• 53:12
Speaker 1: and 1 in 13 men report having been sexually abused
• 53:16
Speaker 1: as a child. Yo, those numbers are a gut punch
• 53:22
Speaker 1: and a reminder. that there's a long way to go, folks,
• 53:28
Speaker 1: to make sure that people like these scumbags are held responsible.

  Speaker 1: a fantastic day.
