- 0:00Speaker 1: As we approach this magnificent anniversary, we see our American
- 0:05Speaker 1: identity under a renewed attack. A generation after we fought
- 0:09Speaker 1: and won the Cold War against the menace of communism,
- 0:14Speaker 1: there is now a resurgence of the communist menace in
- 0:17Speaker 1: our land. Communism is a mortal threat to American liberty.
- 0:23Speaker 1: It is the greatest threat to our country. We're not
- 0:26Speaker 1: going to let this happen to us. Lead me, We're
- 0:30Speaker 1: not letting it happen because communism is the enemy of
- 0:35Speaker 1: free people everywhere. After two hundred and fifty years, American
- 0:39Speaker 1: freedom still rings, the American dream still lives, and the
- 0:44Speaker 1: American flag still flies more proudly than ever before. After
- 0:49Speaker 1: two and a half centuries, we know that this is
- 0:52Speaker 1: not an ending. This is only the beginning of the
- 0:56Speaker 1: Golden Age of America.
- 1:01Speaker 2: It was great speech President Traump with a stark warning
- 1:04Speaker 2: against communism, because we've been watching what's happening in these elections,
- 1:07Speaker 2: and he mentioned it yesterday at Mount Rushmore.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Well here to discuss as New York Congressman Mike Lawler
- 1:13Speaker 3: did a great job on thehil the other day standing
- 1:15Speaker 3: up for Shardan Gorman's family. Thank you so much. What
- 1:19Speaker 3: do you make of this? We met the president last
- 1:20Speaker 3: night saying communism will never happen. But you live in
- 1:23Speaker 3: New York. You saw what happened last week when these
- 1:25Speaker 3: three socialists were elected in the primary.
- 1:29Speaker 2: America hating and Israel hating.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, no question.
- 1:31Speaker 4: And it wasn't just the three congressional races, it was
- 1:34Speaker 4: state legislative. They won over half a dozen state legislative seats.
- 1:38Speaker 4: You know, I look right here with the Statue of
- 1:41Speaker 4: Liberty in the background. That's where I proposed to my wife,
- 1:43Speaker 4: an immigrant from Eastern Europe. She escaped the Soviet Union communism,
- 1:49Speaker 4: came here in search of a better life by herself.
- 1:53Speaker 4: And I think of zo Ron Mamdani, who I served
- 1:55Speaker 4: with in the State Assembly, a Ugandan born immigrant who
- 1:59Speaker 4: came to the United States of America and is now
- 2:02Speaker 4: the mayor of the financial capital of the world. And
- 2:06Speaker 4: instead of embracing the fact that only in America could
- 2:10Speaker 4: that happen, that a Ugandan born immigrant could become the
- 2:14Speaker 4: mayor of the largest city in America. Instead of embracing that,
- 2:19Speaker 4: he talked down about America. He degraded America. Sitting behind
- 2:24Speaker 4: George Washington's desk, and basically embracing socialism. And you know, frankly,
- 2:33Speaker 4: I think really desecrating America's two hundred and fiftieth anniversary
- 2:39Speaker 4: in a way that our found and father certainly would
- 2:42Speaker 4: never have envisioned when engaging and embarking on this experiment.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Some of the Central congressman real quickly of what he said.
- 2:50Speaker 5: He talked about us being a contradiction. Here he is
- 2:54Speaker 5: as we mark two hundred and fifty years, what do
- 2:57Speaker 5: we see? We see a city of tradictions within a
- 3:01Speaker 5: nation of contradictions. We see the wealthiest country in the
- 3:05Speaker 5: history of the world, one where children go to sleep
- 3:07Speaker 5: hungry while the world's first trillionaire hungers for more. We
- 3:11Speaker 5: see a nation whose immense wealth has been built by
- 3:14Speaker 5: those with callous, dirt streaked hands, those who toil on
- 3:18Speaker 5: factory floors and chisel into stone. And we see a
- 3:21Speaker 5: nation that has allowed so much of that wealth to
- 3:24Speaker 5: be held instead and the soft hands of a precious few.
- 3:28Speaker 5: We're the most given nation.
- 3:30Speaker 2: What is he talking about?
- 3:31Speaker 4: It's truly mind boggling. America has done more to ensure
- 3:35Speaker 4: freedom and opportunity and prosperity for everyone, not just here
- 3:40Speaker 4: in our country, but around the world. When you think
- 3:43Speaker 4: back to the Revolutionary War, to the Civil War, to
- 3:47Speaker 4: World War Two and what American blood and treasure did
- 3:51Speaker 4: to ensure freedom. It's truly mind boggling to listen to
- 3:55Speaker 4: that speech from the mayor of New York City, and
- 3:58Speaker 4: especially twenty five years after nine to eleven. You think
- 4:01Speaker 4: of Rudy Giuliani at ground zero, America under attack. Zooran
- 4:07Speaker 4: Mamdani embraces people like Hassan Piker and these socialists that
- 4:13Speaker 4: win election that are saying America is at fault for
- 4:17Speaker 4: nine to eleven. It's crazy.
- 4:18Speaker 2: How about this America?
- 4:20Speaker 1: They will tell you belongs only to those with the
- 4:22Speaker 1: right accent or right shade of skin.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Screw you, I mean, what kind of attitude is this?
- 4:28Speaker 2: So on kind of message? And he thinks that will
- 4:30Speaker 2: resonate with the people that put him in office. Sadly,
- 4:34Speaker 2: he might be right.
- 4:35Speaker 4: For some the politics of envy and jealousy are rising.
- 4:41Speaker 4: But I fundamentally believe in the goodness of America and
- 4:44Speaker 4: the American people, and they will reject this soundly in
- 4:48Speaker 4: November in the mid terms, but more broadly, as we
- 4:52Speaker 4: move forward and embark on our next two hundred and
- 4:55Speaker 4: fifty years. This is the greatest country on the face
- 4:58Speaker 4: of the earth, and no matter our different insist, no
- 5:00Speaker 4: matter the politics of the moment, the fact is we
- 5:05Speaker 4: should all be grateful for living in the United States.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Well said Congsman.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Good luck in your election.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I know every time you run is tough.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Is it'll be a fight, but we'll win, all right, Michael.
- 5:16Speaker 5: Thanks.
