Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Cubby and Christine here with producer Kristen.
- 0:02Speaker 2: And I want to talk about grilling because I feel
- 0:04Speaker 2: like we talk about grilling mainly on Memorial Day weekend.
- 0:07Speaker 1: 4th of July weekend, and this weekend.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 0:11Speaker 1: It's a big grilling weekend. It is.
- 0:13Speaker 3: And like reflecting, I was just asking you, you didn't
- 0:15Speaker 3: talk about grilling that much this summer. We didn't.
- 0:18Speaker 1: You picked up on that?
- 0:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Because you're right.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I didn't grill as much as I normally do.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Usually you're a grill master.
- 0:24Speaker 2: And I really got into it in the last couple
- 0:25Speaker 2: of years. And it's funny you said that because in April,
- 0:28Speaker 2: I remember thinking to myself- I'm going to run out
- 0:30Speaker 2: of propane. I got to get a backup tank ready
- 0:32Speaker 2: to go. Because nothing is worse than when you're grilling
- 0:35Speaker 2: and then the flame goes out. You don't have a
- 0:36Speaker 2: backup tank. And I thought in April, I knew it
- 0:39Speaker 2: was already running low. I said, there's no way I'm
- 0:41Speaker 2: going to make it through the season. So I'm going
- 0:42Speaker 2: to get my backup tank. I never got to the
- 0:44Speaker 2: backup tank.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Wow.
- 0:45Speaker 1: So I really didn't grill that much.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I don't know why it seems like everybody's saying this.
- 0:49Speaker 3: The summer somehow got away from us.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I don't know what it is, man.
- 0:51Speaker 3: We missed a lot of stuff. But do you want
- 0:53Speaker 3: to hear what people are grilling in other states, Cubby? Interesting.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Do I want to hear all of it?
- 0:59Speaker 3: Do you want to? Or are you having breakfast? These
- 1:02Speaker 3: are what's popular to grill in other states, like Alaska.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Moose burgers.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever had one. I don't
- 1:09Speaker 1: think I have.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I would feel bad. Colorado has, and I can't really
- 1:16Speaker 3: describe them completely, but Rocky Mountain oysters. Do you know
- 1:20Speaker 3: what they are?
- 1:20Speaker 1: No.
- 1:21Speaker 3: They're parts of a bull.
- 1:24Speaker 2: What?
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Like the... Yeah, like that.
- 1:27Speaker 3: They're parts of a bull. Okay. Florida, what, are we
- 1:31Speaker 3: going back?
- 1:32Speaker 1: The Nads?
- 1:34Speaker 3: Excuse me, sir. Florida and Louisiana, they're grilling up gator. Okay. No,
- 1:40Speaker 3: just passing that.
- 1:41Speaker 1: But I'm sure, real quick, just to cut you off.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I know, I lost you at Colorado, I know.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Well, no, I'm going back to the moose, actually.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Oh, you're going, okay, back to Alaska.
- 1:47Speaker 2: When you're grilling, like, you know, moose burgers, I'm sure
- 1:50Speaker 2: when they are presented to you, they.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Look like a hamburger.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Like a hamburger.
- 1:53Speaker 1: But just the fact that we know it's a moose....
- 1:56Speaker 3: In Alaska, what if a moose is walking by? Aren't
- 1:59Speaker 3: you going to feel bad? Like, oh, sorry.
- 2:00Speaker 1: But what about the cows and hamburgers?
- 2:04Speaker 3: I don't want to think about it.
- 2:05Speaker 1: We're kind of used to that, right? Is that why
- 2:06Speaker 1: we think differently?
- 2:07Speaker 3: I would feel awful, yes. Maine and Massachusetts, they're grilling
- 2:10Speaker 3: up lobster. And we just talked about that lobster who's
- 2:12Speaker 3: going to predict whether it's going to be a longer
- 2:17Speaker 3: summer or winter. Please don't.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Maine has a lobster, if you didn't hear, that
- 2:21Speaker 2: predicts if it's going to be a longer summer or
- 2:23Speaker 2: a quicker fall.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 1: It's almost their version of Puxy Tiny Phil.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Passy. Passy the lobster. Yeah, Passy.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Don't grill him. Maryland, they grill up crab, Montana elk,
- 2:35Speaker 3: Rhode Island clams. South Dakota, pheasant, Wyoming, bison.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It's funny.
- 2:41Speaker 2: These are states right kind of close by. And it
- 2:44Speaker 2: sounds like they're countries away.
- 2:46Speaker 3: I know it does. It does. I guess because that's
- 2:49Speaker 3: what is available to them. They have more of that.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I don't know a burger, a chicken, a hot dog
- 2:55Speaker 3: looks good to me.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Just keep it simple, right?
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yeah, please.
- 2:57Speaker 2: If you ever had a moose burger or a bull nuts,
- 3:00Speaker 2: can you give us a text at 44363?
- 3:03Speaker 1: What is it? What is it?
- 3:04Speaker 2: The thing?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Rocky mountain oysters.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Rocky mountain oysters, which are essentially bull.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Nuts. Yep.
- 3:10Speaker 2: All right.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Hit us up at 44363. Light FM.
