- 0:16Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Maley along with
- 0:19Speaker 2: Trey Trenholm. Trey, do you eat the beaver.
- 0:28Speaker 3: When I have the opportunity? Typically? Yeah?
- 0:30Speaker 2: Okay, Well that question was recently posed to the Fox
- 0:36Speaker 2: affiliate in Detroit, and well, they obviously had some fun
- 0:40Speaker 2: with it, but the person that asked it is not
- 0:42Speaker 2: the person you would have expected.
- 0:44Speaker 1: On the show, specifically to make it longer.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that is if you can, if you can provide
- 0:49Speaker 4: yourself with food.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And again you're there.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Now they're ice fishing because everything is frozen and you're
- 0:57Speaker 4: looking for fat and the beaver. Yeah, the beaver is
- 1:00Speaker 4: the beaber is.
- 1:01Speaker 2: The most sought after, it is, right?
- 1:07Speaker 4: Would you do you think you could eat beaber?
- 1:12Speaker 1: And then.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You can't eat disease animals?
- 1:29Speaker 4: What about a mouse?
- 1:30Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know anything about this show, but you're
- 1:36Speaker 3: really funny, really funny.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Gal Rider can't even last through the cyclist obias. His
- 1:44Speaker 2: outbreaking is he ain't gonna make it right. Animals were safe.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Number to call.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Oh my god, I can't wait to hear the dial
- 2:02Speaker 2: in Detroit messages after this segment.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I don't even know the girl knows that she's really
- 2:08Speaker 1: I don't think she's really thinking about it.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I'm with you. I think this is kind of going
- 2:15Speaker 2: over her head a little bit. Although when you see
- 2:17Speaker 2: the first guy right next to her when she asked,
- 2:20Speaker 2: he knows exactly, he's like yeah, even finger guns and
- 2:23Speaker 2: he's like yeah, and the other guy is just so
- 2:27Speaker 2: gone he can't even concentrate about what she's asking. Oh Jesus, I.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Think when she said fatty beaver, I think that's where
- 2:34Speaker 1: he starts losing.
- 2:35Speaker 2: It, because that's not just funny to him, that's also
- 2:40Speaker 2: a laugh of knowing.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I'm assuming they're talking about one of these shows like
- 2:52Speaker 1: Neked and Afraid or whatever, where you're just out.
- 2:55Speaker 2: There fending for yourself, or maybe grocery prices have gotten
- 3:00Speaker 2: so bad in Michigan that people are ice fishing instead
- 3:03Speaker 2: of going to Alberts.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Since if you're man, if you are.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Hungry and you're you're trying, your only hope is catching
- 3:14Speaker 1: a beaver, you're screwed.
- 3:19Speaker 3: They are elusive little fuckers.
- 3:23Speaker 2: And they do have big teeth.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Well they're also they're just smart and they because they do.
- 3:31Speaker 1: They do because they're they're in Texas, and they do
- 3:33Speaker 1: so much damage because they'll dam up waterways and stuff,
- 3:37Speaker 1: and many a farmer, many a person, myself included, has
- 3:41Speaker 1: tried to kill them.
- 3:42Speaker 3: And you can.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Sit there for a day and just scope out where
- 3:50Speaker 1: where where their dam is.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Mmm.
- 3:54Speaker 1: They they know you're watching and they will just hide
- 3:57Speaker 1: and then the minute you turn away, they are mm hmmm.
- 4:01Speaker 3: It's like the.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Elusive beaver. I feel like that's a nature show we
- 4:10Speaker 2: should watch, which is tray versus beaver every week. It's
- 4:18Speaker 2: just can't quite get his hands on. No.
- 4:25Speaker 1: When I do, and I think I've domesticated it, they
- 4:27Speaker 1: just fucking up and leave.
- 4:30Speaker 2: They damn up your your heart. Yeah, let's enjoy this
- 4:35Speaker 2: again to make it longer.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Yeah, that is if you can, if you can provide
- 4:41Speaker 4: yourself with food, and again you're there now they're ice
- 4:45Speaker 4: fishing because everything is frozen and you're looking for fat.
- 4:49Speaker 4: And the beaver.
- 4:50Speaker 2: The beaver.
- 4:51Speaker 4: The beaver is the most sought after.
- 4:54Speaker 1: It is, Yeah, it is, yeah, it is like figure good,
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yeah what du.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Beaver is the most sought after.
- 5:08Speaker 3: It is it is.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Ninety percent of the population is looking for beaver. Ten
- 5:17Speaker 1: percenter lesbian, All right, sorry, tim percenter gay.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Thank you? Yeah, yeah, that's the more accurate percent was like, well, straight, straight.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Straights, and lesbian, we're all looking for beaver. M I
- 5:30Speaker 1: guess straight women aren't. So yeah, okay, so only fifty Yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 3: You're over over half. Over half the population is looking
- 5:38Speaker 3: for beaver.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Your percentages may not be exact, but the sentiment
- 5:43Speaker 2: is one hundred percent there.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Yeah, but not fatty beaver.
- 5:50Speaker 2: No, nobody likes that. No, I don't know.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Everyone remembers when they first saw had a fatty beaver.
- 6:00Speaker 1: It's very odd.
- 6:03Speaker 3: And but you don't want want too skinny either.
- 6:09Speaker 2: No, you don't. I just I want to watch Good
- 6:14Speaker 2: Day Detroit. Now, don't get me wrong. Good you know,
- 6:16Speaker 2: Good Day in Dallas is a lot of fun and stuff.
- 6:20Speaker 2: But I don't I don't know if if Shannon Murray
- 6:23Speaker 2: is going to have the same amount of fun with
- 6:25Speaker 2: this the way that these three are. No Viella might
- 6:32Speaker 2: have an interesting viewpoint.
- 6:38Speaker 3: I think no Viella would be the guy in the middle.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I bet he knows. I bet he knows.
- 6:47Speaker 1: The irony of just Good Day Detroit in and of itself,
- 6:53Speaker 1: it's really.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean somewhere it's yeah, somewhere in the mediate
- 6:57Speaker 2: that like, should we call it that, because everyone's gonna
- 6:59Speaker 2: be like, uh huh, yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 3: I think they'd be better after going it's up s
- 7:06Speaker 3: up Detroit.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I think you had it with eh Detroit. All right,
- 7:14Speaker 2: we'll go from one controversy to another.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Uh.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Do you know what a flock camera is?
- 7:21Speaker 3: It's funny I have been reading.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I've been seeing some news stories about flock cameras for
- 7:26Speaker 1: the last I don't know, I feel like three four
- 7:29Speaker 1: weeks and I really.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Paid no attention to them.
- 7:32Speaker 1: And then finally the other day I actually googled what
- 7:36Speaker 1: it was and that there are cameras set up to
- 7:39Speaker 1: read license plates.
- 7:41Speaker 2: And I think I think they may be capable of
- 7:45Speaker 2: more than just license plates.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Uh.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Let's go to w FA a reporter who is talking
- 7:54Speaker 2: about the controversy of flock cameras in DFW.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Seeing them. You've at least heard about them by now.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Flock cameras they are at the center of growing privacy
- 8:06Speaker 5: concerns here in North Texas. They are typically used as
- 8:10Speaker 5: automated license plate readers, but they also go beyond just
- 8:13Speaker 5: tracking cars, and North Texas communities are at odds over
- 8:17Speaker 5: these cameras. Let's start in Hood County. Constable John Shirley
- 8:21Speaker 5: posted these images on Facebook. You see him covering FLOT
- 8:24Speaker 5: cameras with these large black bags. He wrote in this
- 8:27Speaker 5: post that flock cameras in his area are now covered
- 8:31Speaker 5: and unplugged. He also tells the company that owns these
- 8:34Speaker 5: cameras to get the garbage out of his county. Then
- 8:37Speaker 5: over in Anna, this is a viral TikTok video showing
- 8:40Speaker 5: a FLOT camera at Slater Creek Park. It is pointed
- 8:43Speaker 5: in the direction of a splash pad there where young
- 8:46Speaker 5: children play in the water in their swimsuits. We asked
- 8:50Speaker 5: Anna City Council about this camera and they set the
- 8:53Speaker 5: police department set it up to combat vandalism other crime
- 8:57Speaker 5: help solve investigations. They also said that these cameras at
- 9:00Speaker 5: the park do not record license plates, but they do
- 9:05Speaker 5: record video. Meanwhile, here in Dallas, we recently spoke with
- 9:08Speaker 5: Police Chief Daniel Como. We asked him about the growing
- 9:12Speaker 5: privacy concerns and if people who felt like the rights
- 9:15Speaker 5: were being violated should be able to opt out of
- 9:17Speaker 5: being recorded by these block cameras. He said no. He
- 9:22Speaker 5: also said that the plot cameras have been a great
- 9:24Speaker 5: tool to the police department, helping them solve crime and
- 9:28Speaker 5: other investigations. The city of Dallas has six hundred and
- 9:31Speaker 5: seventy block cameras.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I love Dallas police chiefs response, No.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Good for him.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I I don't understand in this day and age, where
- 9:48Speaker 1: there are cameras everywhere, why people are.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Upset by this.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I'm guessing that for some people it's a con institutional issue.
- 10:01Speaker 2: It amounts to an unreasonable search and seizure, violating the
- 10:05Speaker 2: Fourth Amendment kind of a thing I had to look at.
- 10:08Speaker 2: I had to look it up just to ask. It's like, Okay,
- 10:10Speaker 2: why are some people mad about the flock cameras? Because
- 10:12Speaker 2: I didn't want to go to the comments because that's
- 10:14Speaker 2: always the best place to.
- 10:15Speaker 1: We go to the number one there is this mistaken
- 10:17Speaker 1: and this goes back you really want to get there
- 10:22Speaker 1: is no constitutional quote unquote right to privacy, and yet
- 10:27Speaker 1: somehow people think they have a right to privacy. You
- 10:31Speaker 1: are on a public roadway, and if you're not doing
- 10:36Speaker 1: anything illegal, what do you care if they read your
- 10:40Speaker 1: license plate.
- 10:42Speaker 2: So, according to the AI Overview Response, people dislike flock
- 10:47Speaker 2: safety cameras because they act as a massive AI powered
- 10:51Speaker 2: automated license plate reader, also known as an ALPR network.
- 10:55Speaker 2: They logged the location, time, color, and unique vehicle details
- 10:59Speaker 2: of everyday drivers into a searchable database without a warrant,
- 11:01Speaker 2: raising serious concerns over mass surveillance, police misuse, and privacy violations.
- 11:09Speaker 2: They record the movements of innocent people who are not
- 11:12Speaker 2: suspected of any crime, creating a continuous digital footprint of
- 11:16Speaker 2: daily travel.
- 11:20Speaker 1: And when you know your car is stolen, I bet
- 11:23Speaker 1: you'll be you would appreciate the flock cameras because they
- 11:26Speaker 1: could track it it's kidnapping or anything else.
- 11:30Speaker 3: I did see.
- 11:31Speaker 1: I saw an interview with the owner of the company
- 11:34Speaker 1: that does the flock cameras, and they've agreed. I guess
- 11:37Speaker 1: originally they were keeping data for thirty days, and now
- 11:41Speaker 1: they're keeping it for seven days, and then they've trimmed
- 11:44Speaker 1: some of the stuff down. But you know, I've also
- 11:47Speaker 1: read where it's been valuable in fighting crime and kidnappings
- 11:50Speaker 1: and other things, so you can track people.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I think I started trying to think about this because
- 11:58Speaker 2: when I see some sort of a new way issue.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I if I don't feel a super strong way one
- 12:05Speaker 2: way or the other, then I try to dig in
- 12:07Speaker 2: on a little bit more to see if there's something
- 12:09Speaker 2: I'm missing, or to see if maybe I would actually
- 12:12Speaker 2: fall hard on one side versus the other. And on
- 12:15Speaker 2: this one, look, I'm all for, you know, supporting the Constitution,
- 12:21Speaker 2: and I think we all do have a right to privacy.
- 12:24Speaker 2: But like you said, it's within reason. Once I leave
- 12:28Speaker 2: my house, I am in public and if i'm if
- 12:33Speaker 2: I'm walking down the street, if I am in my car,
- 12:36Speaker 2: I am in the public view as it is, so
- 12:40Speaker 2: the only difference is whether or not my movement is
- 12:44Speaker 2: being recorded. And as you said, Trey, whether or without
- 12:48Speaker 2: a flock camera that's installed someplace, I'm probably being recorded anyway,
- 12:54Speaker 2: whether it's from a neighbor's ring camera, other other cameras,
- 12:58Speaker 2: people's cell phones. I mean, at this point, I have
- 13:02Speaker 2: no expectation of privacy as soon as I leave my house,
- 13:06Speaker 2: and not that I ever really did you know how
- 13:08Speaker 2: I know that because I'm not allowed to walk down
- 13:10Speaker 2: the street with no pants on because I get arrested.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Well, okay, and this that's infringing on the public.
- 13:16Speaker 1: These aren't red light cameras. You know, you're not. They're
- 13:18Speaker 1: not trying to issue a ticket for anything. You know,
- 13:21Speaker 1: they're just And I'm in the same boat with you.
- 13:26Speaker 1: First of all, I mean, the whole deal of your
- 13:28Speaker 1: right to privacy is basically, you're in public if you
- 13:34Speaker 1: really have no legitimate expectation of privacy. So the minute
- 13:38Speaker 1: you walk out your front door, you really are in public. Yeah, uh,
- 13:43Speaker 1: it's not recording you. You know, even if you're smoking
- 13:45Speaker 1: a joint in your car, it's not recording you do that.
- 13:49Speaker 1: They're not catching you doing anything. They're just you now
- 13:54Speaker 1: know where you are. I honestly, all the tech dot cameras,
- 13:58Speaker 1: I assumed they the technology now to rifle through that
- 14:02Speaker 1: video and track everyone's h movements. So I guess, and
- 14:07Speaker 1: maybe I'm wrong about that, but I don't see the
- 14:13Speaker 1: big deal.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I think the difference is with the tech dot cameras
- 14:17Speaker 2: might be and this is where we'd have to talk
- 14:19Speaker 2: to a law enforcement friend. But if they're not able
- 14:24Speaker 2: to just immediately go in and look at those, if
- 14:26Speaker 2: they're trying to investigate some type of a crime, a
- 14:31Speaker 2: quick uh, just a quick search warrant and then they're
- 14:36Speaker 2: going to go through so whether and I think that's
- 14:38Speaker 2: that may be what some people are having an issue with,
- 14:41Speaker 2: is that this removes the search warrant things. So people
- 14:45Speaker 2: are like, okay, so they're just doing this without any
- 14:48Speaker 2: sort of probable cause. Well, yeah, it's they're not looking
- 14:51Speaker 2: at you to see what you're doing specifically without just cause,
- 14:55Speaker 2: they're just watching the world go by.
- 14:59Speaker 1: And and I am obviously there have now been a
- 15:02Speaker 1: number of cases of law enforcement tracking their spouses and
- 15:06Speaker 1: significant others, so they have already had to tighten the
- 15:11Speaker 1: parameters in which you can access this information. And like everything,
- 15:18Speaker 1: you know, it'll have to improve and they'll they'll refine
- 15:21Speaker 1: the process. But per se, I are just fundamentally I
- 15:25Speaker 1: don't have a problem with it. And maybe maybe I'm
- 15:28Speaker 1: just at an age where I again I'm like you
- 15:31Speaker 1: with hell, just with a number of people who record
- 15:35Speaker 1: themselves in the car, I assume and traffic cameras, bring cameras,
- 15:43Speaker 1: security cameras, all that, I assume they can pretty much
- 15:47Speaker 1: go in and with all the facial recognition and license
- 15:51Speaker 1: plate recognition software. Because honestly, parking.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Like.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I hate to call it, but you know, parking enforcement.
- 16:00Speaker 1: They've had license plate technology for decades.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Remember the movie Enemy of the State with Gene Hackman
- 16:08Speaker 2: and Will Smith, Jake Busey and Jack Black and Seth Green.
- 16:15Speaker 2: That movie came out in like ninety six or something
- 16:18Speaker 2: ninety seven, and that was serious black bag cia NSA
- 16:24Speaker 2: spying technology that was in the nineties. It's been like
- 16:28Speaker 2: thirty years since that movie came out. And if that
- 16:31Speaker 2: movie is showing you that technology in the nineties, you
- 16:36Speaker 2: know they've had it for at least twenty years. So
- 16:39Speaker 2: this is not new stuff. It's just new to us
- 16:42Speaker 2: because we're hearing about it now.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Well. And I also think this goes to everyone's you know,
- 16:49Speaker 1: everyone's distrust of Big Brother.
- 16:53Speaker 2: And I get that you don't necessarily want certain government
- 16:57Speaker 2: just doing whatever it wants to you kind of a thing.
- 16:59Speaker 2: And I get that, but that it doesn't really feel
- 17:01Speaker 2: like what this is. It's basically quote unquote Big Brother
- 17:04Speaker 2: just putting a big camera in just watching everything. It's
- 17:07Speaker 2: not like it's out to get you. But like even
- 17:10Speaker 2: in the story, like a bunch of parents were upset
- 17:12Speaker 2: because a flock camera was pointed out a kid's splash
- 17:15Speaker 2: pad where they're in swimsuits. As a parent, I would
- 17:20Speaker 2: be more concerned about the single guy who might be
- 17:24Speaker 2: trying to sneakily record video on his phone next to
- 17:28Speaker 2: the splash pad, then I would the flock camera. That's
- 17:32Speaker 2: way harder footage to get a hold of than the
- 17:34Speaker 2: creepy dude getting phone footage of your kid in the
- 17:37Speaker 2: splash pad.
- 17:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but if I have a kid, I'm more
- 17:41Speaker 1: than happy that they have a camera like that. If
- 17:44Speaker 1: there's a kidnapping, if there's some kind of suspicious behavior
- 17:49Speaker 1: that you've got someone a camera there that is going
- 17:51Speaker 1: to be able to catch the person much quicker.
- 17:55Speaker 3: And this is where I think the rub is going to.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Be is sooner or later there's gonna ban these things
- 18:01Speaker 1: or anything everything else, and then all of a sudden
- 18:04Speaker 1: someone's kid is gonna get kidnapped. There's gonna be something
- 18:06Speaker 1: horrific that happens, and they're gonna be screaming, why couldn't
- 18:09Speaker 1: you track the person?
- 18:10Speaker 3: Where were the cameras?
- 18:11Speaker 2: We had a technology and maybe it has one of
- 18:14Speaker 2: those black bags over it that someone put and it's like,
- 18:16Speaker 2: well it's right there, but you know someone covered it.
- 18:20Speaker 2: So sorry, And that flot camera could actually see the
- 18:26Speaker 2: creepy dude perhaps getting video of your kids and stuff.
- 18:29Speaker 2: So yeah, I just it really was interesting trying to
- 18:33Speaker 2: dig in a little bit on the flock cameras and
- 18:35Speaker 2: be like, Okay, I guess I can see why some
- 18:36Speaker 2: people are upset by it, but look, I don't think
- 18:40Speaker 2: this necessarily goes to the level of what is it
- 18:43Speaker 2: the Benjamin Franklin quote or whatever from back in the
- 18:46Speaker 2: day that if you sacrifice liberty for safety, then you
- 18:50Speaker 2: deserve neither kind of a thing. That's that to me,
- 18:54Speaker 2: is not what this is. This isn't This isn't a
- 18:57Speaker 2: red coat hanging out in your living room.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Well number one, if you go through, if you travel
- 19:04Speaker 1: on any toll road throughout the day, shut up.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Let's get Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration in
- 19:17Speaker 2: the Treehouse for your free roof inspection and property review
- 19:21Speaker 2: called eight three three cook DFW today to get that
- 19:24Speaker 2: scheduled eight three three COOKDFW. The website is cookdfw dot com. Daniel,
- 19:30Speaker 2: part of the roofing process is knowing about ventilation and
- 19:34Speaker 2: how important that can be to the life of the roof.
- 19:37Speaker 2: That's something you guys look at it's not just about shingles.
- 19:40Speaker 6: Absolutely, Dan, a lot of homeowners underestimate the amount of
- 19:44Speaker 6: attic heat build up that their home has, affects their
- 19:48Speaker 6: AC system, affects their roof condition, long term, affects just
- 19:53Speaker 6: overall their home. And so when we come out we
- 19:56Speaker 6: make that assessment with the homeowner, We try to educate them,
- 19:59Speaker 6: make sure they have the proper ventilation. There is a
- 20:02Speaker 6: calculation of this. We walk them around if they're interested
- 20:04Speaker 6: in going around, we show them what their intakes look like,
- 20:06Speaker 6: what their exhaust system looks like, and try to make
- 20:09Speaker 6: the best fit for their home. So that's a very
- 20:11Speaker 6: common thing that we do, and it should be done
- 20:13Speaker 6: every time you have construction done at your property. You
- 20:15Speaker 6: need to be educated on what's happening and why.
- 20:19Speaker 2: And if you've ever dealt with a roofing contractor that
- 20:22Speaker 2: didn't have a conversation with you about ventilation underneath that roof,
- 20:29Speaker 2: then you need to call Daniel Cook at eight three
- 20:31Speaker 2: three Cook DFW so you get the full customer service

- 21:48Speaker 2: is Trey. Today is Tuesday. Gotta figure out my day.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Today is Tuesday, August eighteenth, twenty twenty six. Let's celebrate
- 21:57Speaker 2: today with some birthdays and there's a.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Lot of.
- 22:02Speaker 2: This is not his fault, but I can't stand him now.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Everlast is fifty seven, and I mean that it's not
- 22:08Speaker 2: his fault. I mainly blame the Eagle. I used to
- 22:13Speaker 2: like his song what It's Like, and then the Eagle
- 22:16Speaker 2: never stopped playing it. I feel like every time I'd
- 22:20Speaker 2: turn on a rock station or anything, or like when
- 22:22Speaker 2: I would walk into the studio at the Eagles, like, God,
- 22:25Speaker 2: damn it, this song again. Jesus, I would kill for
- 22:29Speaker 2: just some old school House of Pain jump around versus
- 22:32Speaker 2: what It's like, because for those that don't know, Everlast
- 22:34Speaker 2: is also the front man of House of Pain. But Jesus,
- 22:41Speaker 2: you talk about playing a song into the dirt. Oh
- 22:46Speaker 2: so frustrating. They got to the point that I told
- 22:51Speaker 2: Don I was like if because he would. They were
- 22:53Speaker 2: wanting us to play like a few songs per hour.
- 22:55Speaker 2: At one point we eventually just stopped altogether. But I
- 23:00Speaker 2: told him, I was like, we're not playing that song anymore.
- 23:03Speaker 2: It's I can't, I can't do it. There was like
- 23:05Speaker 2: two days, three days in a row, was in the
- 23:07Speaker 2: same time at the same it just like, really, come on,
- 23:13Speaker 2: I mean.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I don't disagree with you, but then you look back
- 23:16Speaker 1: over the last couple of years of The Eagle and
- 23:17Speaker 1: you go, yeah, I could have handled a lot more
- 23:20Speaker 1: of that compared to the other things I put on the.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Air and the irony there that this guy's name has.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Ever lest other birthdays today, there's a few deceased birthdays
- 23:34Speaker 2: I want to mention here because they're so big. Malcolm
- 23:38Speaker 2: Jamal Warner would have been fifty six. He died last
- 23:41Speaker 2: year in a drowning incident.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Oh you know, that was sad when I saw it, obviously,
- 23:49Speaker 1: But then I went back and I watched this show
- 23:52Speaker 1: called The Resident on Netflix. I think it was actually
- 23:55Speaker 1: originally on Fox, and he was on it, and man,
- 23:59Speaker 1: he was really good. That's just tragic, it really is.
- 24:04Speaker 2: And that's one of those guys that have never made
- 24:06Speaker 2: these sense to me why he didn't have a bigger
- 24:07Speaker 2: career because he was so great on The Cosby Show
- 24:10Speaker 2: and stuff that he did after that, Like you mentioned
- 24:12Speaker 2: The Resident, he was great. So it makes you wonder,
- 24:14Speaker 2: it's like what's wrong with Hollywood at times? Like what
- 24:17Speaker 2: were you doing? Robert Redford would have been ninety, So
- 24:22Speaker 2: his death last year wasn't as big of a surprise
- 24:24Speaker 2: as Malcolm Jamal Warners, but still that's a pretty huge
- 24:26Speaker 2: name by Hollywood standards. Patrick swayzey would have been seventy four.
- 24:32Speaker 2: He passed away all the way back in two thousand
- 24:34Speaker 2: and nine.
- 24:36Speaker 1: They have been playing Patrick Swayze movies on TV, mainly
- 24:41Speaker 1: Roadhouse and Point Break, of two classics.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Hey, man, if you're going to play two movies from
- 24:47Speaker 2: someone's you know, filmography, those are two solid ones to do.
- 24:51Speaker 2: I will mention this though, because it doesn't get mentioned enough.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I think, as far as the Patrick Swayze filmography, Next
- 24:59Speaker 2: of Kin, Next of Ken is really really good. And
- 25:05Speaker 2: it's not that it was a bad movie, because it's
- 25:07Speaker 2: actually really good. It just didn't perform as well as
- 25:09Speaker 2: some of the other movies he made around it, like
- 25:11Speaker 2: Ghost and Point Break and road House. But Next to Ken,
- 25:16Speaker 2: which I believe also, if I remember I had Liam
- 25:18Speaker 2: Neeson as a really good.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Movie, you're absolutely corrected. It was.
- 25:22Speaker 1: But don't forget Dirty Dancing. I mean, I hate to
- 25:26Speaker 1: say it, but that is a classic.
- 25:28Speaker 2: That's I'm not even sure if it's arguable that is
- 25:32Speaker 2: that is the ultimate of his movies.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I think that and Ghost, I think you would have
- 25:38Speaker 1: a coin toss now, if you're if you're if you're male.
- 25:45Speaker 1: In our age, it's Point Break or Roadhouse. But as
- 25:51Speaker 1: far as his overall filmography, I think Dirty Dancing or Ghost.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I need to go back and watch Ghost because that
- 25:58Speaker 1: really I remember it being a very good movie.
- 26:03Speaker 2: It was a great movie. Uh And ironically it's like
- 26:06Speaker 2: one of the best lines in that movie was delivered
- 26:08Speaker 2: by Whoopy Goldberg, and it's it's a classic. Even today.
- 26:11Speaker 2: You've in danger girl, you know.
- 26:15Speaker 3: And that's I hate to say it because what she
- 26:21Speaker 3: does now.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Because it's so political and everything else. But especially in
- 26:27Speaker 1: the nineties, she had some great movies. I mean she's
- 26:30Speaker 1: a really great actress. I mean Color Purple obviously, but
- 26:34Speaker 1: as far as comedy goes and some of the funny
- 26:37Speaker 1: things Sister Act, Soap Dish, Ghost, I mean, all these
- 26:43Speaker 1: she was really great.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Madeline Stowe is sixty eight.
- 26:51Speaker 3: From twelve to another another, you know, talking about a
- 26:56Speaker 3: classic classic movie. Mohicans.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Amen, brother, no matter what occurs, I will find you, Yeah,
- 27:07Speaker 2: he will you find her. Daniel da Lewis. I love
- 27:12Speaker 2: that movie for anyone that has never seen Last of
- 27:14Speaker 2: the Mohicans crawl out from underneath the rock you've been
- 27:18Speaker 2: living in and go watch that movie. It is phenomenal,
- 27:23Speaker 2: one of my favorite movies of all time. Absolutely, and
- 27:29Speaker 2: you may not remember, but made Lund Stowe was also
- 27:33Speaker 2: the object of Richard Dreyfus's affection in a little movie
- 27:37Speaker 2: called steak Out.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Oh Wow.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it was Richard Dreyfus and Emilio Estevez staking out
- 27:44Speaker 2: this woman because she was the love interest or whatever
- 27:48Speaker 2: of some criminal that they were after. Steak Out.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I think I think in this day and age, that
- 27:54Speaker 3: might be called stalking, but it is.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah, is especially because at one point there is some
- 28:02Speaker 2: very gratuitous nudity in that movie. And I think we
- 28:06Speaker 2: all knew the reason why Daniel day Lewis wanted to
- 28:09Speaker 2: find her so badly and Last of the Mohicans is
- 28:11Speaker 2: because we saw through her window and stakeout. Dennis Leary
- 28:16Speaker 2: is sixty nine telling you, man, today is a stacked
- 28:21Speaker 2: birthday day.
- 28:23Speaker 3: I don't know, you really haven't. I haven't heard anything
- 28:26Speaker 3: from him recently.
- 28:28Speaker 2: He has like there was some military comedy show he
- 28:33Speaker 2: was doing. I don't even know if that's still happening
- 28:35Speaker 2: or if it went past two or three episodes. I
- 28:38Speaker 2: think it was on Fox Oh.
- 28:43Speaker 1: No Cure for Cancer, one of the great stand ups
- 28:45Speaker 1: of all time.
- 28:48Speaker 3: The Ref classic.
- 28:51Speaker 2: The Ref is one of the greatest Christmas movies of
- 28:53Speaker 2: all times. It's another one if you've not seen it.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Crawl out from underneath the rock you've been living under
- 28:59Speaker 2: and go watch. You want a good two for night,
- 29:02Speaker 2: Last of the Mohicans and The Ref call Us in
- 29:06Speaker 2: the Morning. Caitlyn Olsen is fifty one. She's Sweet d
- 29:10Speaker 2: from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, currently the Star of
- 29:13Speaker 2: High Potential. She's also married to Rob Mack formerly Rob McElhinney,
- 29:19Speaker 2: Andy Samberk from Saturday Night Live, Brooklyn ninety nine and
- 29:23Speaker 2: one half of the Lonely Island Singing Group. He is
- 29:26Speaker 2: forty eight today, which, by the way, if you have
- 29:29Speaker 2: never gotten on a boat and played I'm on a Boat,
- 29:33Speaker 2: then you haven't lived yet. But that's how I did
- 29:36Speaker 2: my fortieth Christian Slater fifty seven. You want to talk
- 29:43Speaker 2: about a good filmography and a couple of movies that
- 29:45Speaker 2: I think are musts. Christian Slater has a few. He's
- 29:48Speaker 2: fifty seven today, one of which is True Romance.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Cuffs will always be one of my I think underrated.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I don't know if that was eighties or nineties, but.
- 29:59Speaker 2: It was right on the cusp. I think it was
- 30:01Speaker 2: like ninety when when it came out.
- 30:04Speaker 3: But that's and obviously young Guns, but Cuffs, I don't
- 30:14Speaker 3: know why.
- 30:14Speaker 1: I mean, obviously it wasn't but Cuff is one of
- 30:18Speaker 1: those movies. But one of the funniest things about it
- 30:20Speaker 1: is one of the first movies I really remember breaking
- 30:22Speaker 1: the fourth wall.
- 30:25Speaker 2: That's true, it was. It was sort of in the
- 30:28Speaker 2: tradition of Ferris Buehler because First Bueller came a few
- 30:31Speaker 2: years before that. But yeah, and you want to know
- 30:33Speaker 2: a random tie in, and you want to know you
- 30:35Speaker 2: want to peek inside the Dan brain. Here we mentioned
- 30:41Speaker 2: Ghost earlier and we just mentioned Cuffs. They are tied
- 30:47Speaker 2: by one actor. So the brother who dies in Cuffs
- 30:51Speaker 2: is Tony Tony Goldmeyer or gold something. He plays the
- 30:59Speaker 2: brother in Cuff and also played the bad guy in Ghost.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Tony Goldwyn gold One.
- 31:07Speaker 2: There you go, Tony Goldwyn, There you go.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Talking about an underrated actor.
- 31:12Speaker 2: He's good man, He's really good and Ed Norton is
- 31:18Speaker 2: fifty seven three time AUSTAR nominee, known for Fight Club
- 31:22Speaker 2: American History, X Primal Fear and the Incredible Hulk, although
- 31:25Speaker 2: we don't really talk about that one very much.
- 31:28Speaker 3: You know what, I have never seen that that version
- 31:31Speaker 3: of the Hulk.
- 31:32Speaker 2: It's okay, none of them are great. That's just for
- 31:36Speaker 2: whatever reason. It's like some people talk about I don't
- 31:38Speaker 2: know why they get so lost in it, like, uh,
- 31:40Speaker 2: Hulk movies.
- 31:41Speaker 3: And blah blah blah.
- 31:42Speaker 2: The Hulk's great though, and it's like not really. I
- 31:46Speaker 2: think the reason why there isn't a great Hulk movie
- 31:48Speaker 2: is just because it's kind of like, okay, I mean, is.
- 31:52Speaker 1: It is it the story or is it just one
- 31:56Speaker 1: of those like the Fantastic Four they just keep tripping
- 31:58Speaker 1: on themselves.
- 31:59Speaker 2: I think it's almost it's it's it's it's moby Dick.
- 32:05Speaker 2: People keep going back, they're trying to catch it, and
- 32:08Speaker 2: I just don't know if you can.
- 32:10Speaker 3: At least it's not the Flash.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Well, do you feel restless and anxious, feel like something's

- 33:58Speaker 2: you very much. At least it's not the Flash. That
- 34:05Speaker 2: is something you can put on your resume. It's like, yeah,
- 34:07Speaker 2: I did a superhero movie, but at least it wasn't
- 34:09Speaker 2: the Flash.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Yeah, the Flash.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I didn't think The Green Lantern was as bad as
- 34:17Speaker 1: every almost everyone else did.
- 34:19Speaker 2: No, And look, I appreciate Ryan Reynolds having high standards
- 34:23Speaker 2: and whatever, and the best thing that came out of
- 34:24Speaker 2: the Green Lantern movie for him, obviously it was you know,
- 34:27Speaker 2: Blake Lively, although right now he may think differently, but
- 34:33Speaker 2: I didn't hate the Green Lantern movie. And I'm to me,
- 34:37Speaker 2: like we were talking about how the Hulk movies just
- 34:40Speaker 2: never seemed to quite hit. I was fine with the
- 34:42Speaker 2: Eric Banna Hulk movie, yeah, but yeah, it just when
- 34:48Speaker 2: they did the Ed Norton version, I was like, Okay,
- 34:50Speaker 2: that's fine, and then they replaced him with Ruffalo, and
- 34:52Speaker 2: I love Ruffalo's Hulk, but he might just be one
- 34:56Speaker 2: of those that just doesn't do great with his own project.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I liked him in the New Spider Man movie.
- 35:01Speaker 1: But I just and maybe it's because you have a
- 35:07Speaker 1: different perspective if you grew up on the TV show.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Maybe maybe that's what it is, you know.
- 35:13Speaker 3: And I don't know, but I asked you this. So
- 35:20Speaker 3: have you followed this Philadelphia serial killer thing?
- 35:25Speaker 4: Uh?
- 35:26Speaker 2: No, I've there's a I haven't even heard of it.
- 35:29Speaker 3: No, Okay, so.
- 35:31Speaker 1: I'm kind of talking out of my ass on this one,
- 35:34Speaker 1: which really isn't that abnormal, but even more so for
- 35:38Speaker 1: this one, this creepy guy. Evidently the police arrested him
- 35:44Speaker 1: because he was in a fight with a woman and
- 35:47Speaker 1: neighbors called. They found in his car, they found like
- 35:51Speaker 1: fake FBI credentials, weird chemicals, some weapons.
- 35:56Speaker 3: They searched the house. I think his name. The guy's
- 35:58Speaker 3: name is Eugene Horsche. So they searched.
- 36:01Speaker 1: They enough that they went in and searched the house,
- 36:03Speaker 1: and they've evidently they're being very tight lipped about it,
- 36:06Speaker 1: but everyone says they have.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Found troves of.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Awful things, like snuff films, things done to women. Remains
- 36:18Speaker 1: potentially a whole system to bypass to dissolve remains and
- 36:25Speaker 1: bypass the septic system and basically go from the house
- 36:28Speaker 1: to directly to the sewer. Which now, and but they
- 36:36Speaker 1: found evidence of like four missing women and the weirdest
- 36:40Speaker 1: thing about it though.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Now, so let me let me show you. Let me
- 36:44Speaker 3: show you this guy.
- 36:50Speaker 1: So, oh god, Okay, you know, he looks creepy and
- 36:57Speaker 1: I think he's like he's in his forties.
- 37:00Speaker 3: But obviously what Yeah, Jesus, I think that's what I said.
- 37:06Speaker 3: I think it's like, I don't want to say forty seven.
- 37:08Speaker 2: But yeah, he and I do not look the same age.
- 37:13Speaker 3: No, okay, but you have that image.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Yeah, especially with that shirt.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Okay.
- 37:18Speaker 1: So now now they suspect that this is possibly a
- 37:22Speaker 1: father son deal and that his father, who was a
- 37:26Speaker 1: notorious evidently illegal pornographer like snuff films person, this is Dad.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Oh god, is that real? Yes, guilty whatever you accuse
- 37:50Speaker 2: him of, He fucking did it. Yeah, I have no question. Like,
- 37:56Speaker 2: that's one of those if you if you were the defender,
- 37:59Speaker 2: if you were defending that guy in court, you basically
- 38:02Speaker 2: have to say he can't appear in court, you cannot
- 38:06Speaker 2: use his mugshot as evidence because everyone will convict him.
- 38:09Speaker 3: So Dad is now dead.
- 38:11Speaker 2: But God, but I don't want to know that that
- 38:16Speaker 2: guy's out there walking around.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Because honestly, any of his offspring, I'm gonna be like, Yeah,
- 38:21Speaker 1: they did something.
- 38:23Speaker 2: They all did it. They all did it. It was a
- 38:25Speaker 2: family thing. They're all in it. They all did it.
- 38:27Speaker 2: They're doing it. Get can you get? Can you imagine
- 38:31Speaker 2: you waking up as a kid one one one night
- 38:34Speaker 2: in the middle of the night and this pops out
- 38:35Speaker 2: out of the closet. I you know, I mean that's
- 38:40Speaker 2: the Boogeyman, uh huh, mixed with a little bit of
- 38:43Speaker 2: show enough.
- 38:46Speaker 3: You know, or.
- 38:48Speaker 1: That's what happened to Laslow and twenty years later from
- 38:53Speaker 1: that's a real genius reference. Everybody, don't.
- 38:58Speaker 2: This is Laslow's uncle. Lasla was the good kid that
- 39:02Speaker 2: made it out.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but evidently so evidently they've they're keeping the Eugene
- 39:08Speaker 1: guy locked up on weapons charges and the fact that
- 39:13Speaker 1: I guess he was on probation and so.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Or that he's the son of that guy.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Right.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Well, but they're they're I guess they're trying to study
- 39:21Speaker 1: all this evidence and then they have some kind of
- 39:25Speaker 1: they're trying to hold him till like September until they
- 39:27Speaker 1: can get all this sorted out. But like I said,
- 39:30Speaker 1: it's being tight lipped about it, but they think this
- 39:32Speaker 1: is going to be a serial killer situation where there
- 39:36Speaker 1: were multiple people, especially girls, murdered and disposed of. And God,
- 39:44Speaker 1: they say they found evidence of I think at least
- 39:47Speaker 1: four women on these snuff films that were you know,
- 39:51Speaker 1: alive and then dead on film.
- 39:53Speaker 2: God, for their sake, I hope that it's not true.
- 40:01Speaker 2: I will say though that if if it is, I'm
- 40:04Speaker 2: I'm surprised. I'm surprised. Not that people aren't capable of
- 40:09Speaker 2: it still, but just the serial killer thing is so
- 40:12Speaker 2: difficult these days because like kind of like how we
- 40:16Speaker 2: were talking before about the flock cameras and people are
- 40:19Speaker 2: pissed about them because of technology and everything. The idea
- 40:23Speaker 2: of a serial killer, to me, is so difficult to
- 40:26Speaker 2: pull off because you go back and think about some
- 40:29Speaker 2: of the big names and serial killings. A Dahmer what's
- 40:35Speaker 2: his name from Washington State? Gaysey Gaysey Dahmer, God him
- 40:44Speaker 2: brain farting on his damn name. He's one of the
- 40:48Speaker 2: other big ones that we came out of the seventies.
- 40:49Speaker 2: He killed a bunch of girls in Seattle and then Florida,
- 40:52Speaker 2: and he was eventually put to Bundy Ted Bid.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I don't think Ted Bundy gets away with
- 40:59Speaker 2: more than one or two murders in today's standards because
- 41:03Speaker 2: from cell phone technology and cameras and things, it's it's
- 41:09Speaker 2: just difficult to wrap your brain around. But then there
- 41:11Speaker 2: was like the guy that just got convicted not that
- 41:14Speaker 2: long ago in Long Island who was killing like sex workers,
- 41:20Speaker 2: and it like you watch some of these documentaries on
- 41:23Speaker 2: Netflix and you think, why did it take so long
- 41:25Speaker 2: to find some of these guys because it seems so obvious.
- 41:27Speaker 2: But the technology didn't exist back then like it does today,
- 41:30Speaker 2: so it was hard for a lot of these departments
- 41:32Speaker 2: to cross reference cases and materials and things, whereas now
- 41:36Speaker 2: we take that for granted, plus cell phone technology and everything.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Well, they're saying one of the things that may have
- 41:42Speaker 1: allowed these guys to get away with it is this
- 41:45Speaker 1: if they came up with this system where you disposed
- 41:48Speaker 1: of the bodies and so there was no remains to
- 41:51Speaker 1: ever be found because a lot of times, like with
- 41:53Speaker 1: the guy in New Jersey, I believe what started that
- 41:57Speaker 1: off is they started finding some bodies on the beach,
- 42:02Speaker 1: and then that kind of led to finding more and
- 42:05Speaker 1: then eventually tracing him back. But if you dispose of
- 42:07Speaker 1: the bodies like that where you were from what it
- 42:10Speaker 1: sounds like, dissolving them and just dumping that directly into
- 42:13Speaker 1: the sewer line bypassing septic system or whatever else. Then
- 42:21Speaker 1: But you, like with Ted Bundy, there's no way with
- 42:25Speaker 1: all the cameras you have today that he ever gets
- 42:28Speaker 1: away with more than one.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Yeah, the Idaho murders, We've seen a couple of documentary
- 42:37Speaker 2: things on that one. And that wasn't a serial killer situation,
- 42:43Speaker 2: but he killed that guy killed four people in a
- 42:47Speaker 2: matter of like fifteen minutes in one house, and it
- 42:51Speaker 2: took partly took so long to find him, And by
- 42:54Speaker 2: so long, I mean basically like thirty something days, it
- 42:57Speaker 2: was like forty something days or whatever, from the time
- 43:00Speaker 2: the murders happened to when he was actually arrested. The
- 43:03Speaker 2: reason that they were able to find him is they
- 43:05Speaker 2: were able to pinpoint a vehicle, like a make and
- 43:09Speaker 2: model of a vehicle based on camera footage and the
- 43:11Speaker 2: time of murder. But the reason that they were able
- 43:14Speaker 2: to find him specifically was because of one thumbprint on
- 43:19Speaker 2: the button of the knife sheath that he had left behind.
- 43:24Speaker 2: He had left the knife sheath on the bed of
- 43:28Speaker 2: one of the victims. If he takes that sheath with him,
- 43:31Speaker 2: he's probably never caught if that's the only crime he
- 43:34Speaker 2: ever commits. So it's scary to think that these things
- 43:39Speaker 2: are still possible. But the additional hoops, like maybe what
- 43:45Speaker 2: you're describing here with these creeps in Philadelphia that you
- 43:49Speaker 2: have to go through to get it done is we're
- 43:53Speaker 2: going to be astronomical.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Right And and a lot of these girls have been
- 44:00Speaker 1: at least some of them were within the last like
- 44:04Speaker 1: within the last ten years.
- 44:05Speaker 3: So yeah, there's no telling it. It's it is.
- 44:08Speaker 1: It is fascinating though that in this day and age
- 44:11Speaker 1: there are still people getting away with it.
- 44:18Speaker 2: I need a palate cleanser, okay, And I'm trying to
- 44:22Speaker 2: think of the best one. I'm trying to think. I
- 44:27Speaker 2: think this, I think this might be it. This, this
- 44:30Speaker 2: might be it. Let me see maybe, yeah, probably, Yeah,
- 44:34Speaker 2: that's gonna work. You would think a naked fire truck
- 44:41Speaker 2: ride sounds like a good time, right, Hell yeah, Well,
- 44:47Speaker 2: the naked Wisconsin woman that was recently arrested for stealing
- 44:56Speaker 2: a fire truck while naked. My change your opinion on that.
- 45:03Speaker 2: There she is, there's your naked fire truck bandit M yeah, no, M.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Why was she naked?
- 45:19Speaker 2: They suspect drugs and alcohol and such.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, okay, well yeah, I mean the fireman aren't
- 45:29Speaker 1: always known to have the most discerning filters. But even that,
- 45:34Speaker 1: even they're not gonna you know, no, they might hit
- 45:38Speaker 1: it with an axe, but nope, I.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Was gonna say, like, get the hose.
- 45:42Speaker 7: Yeah, they never looked how you want them to write.
- 45:49Speaker 7: You see the headline naked woman steals fire truck and
- 45:53Speaker 7: you're like ooh.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Then you see her, You're like, oh, get the hooves,
