Transcript
- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome back to this week's Off the Bench podcast from
- 0:18Speaker 1: the Premier League. I'm Leeve from FPR Family, I'm as
- 0:21Speaker 1: from FBL black Box. Well morning, as another challenging week
- 0:25Speaker 1: at FPR, wasn't it plenty of drama for us to discuss,
- 0:28Speaker 1: including a couple of very notable penalty misses, and after
- 0:32Speaker 1: eight clean sheets in all competitions, Arsenal finally concede a
- 0:35Speaker 1: goal to you know, fellow Champions League hopefuls. I don't know, Sunderland.
- 0:39Speaker 1: We'll go through the weekend's games in a bit, but
- 0:41Speaker 1: before we do, how was game week eleven for you?
- 0:43Speaker 2: It was a good week to have a bad week,
- 0:44Speaker 2: I think, as the saying the saying goes, I mean,
- 0:47Speaker 2: it wasn't great forty one points. I've seen some worse
- 0:50Speaker 2: scores out there. I've seen some really really good scores,
- 0:53Speaker 2: but they're around fifty sixty points. So if you manage
- 0:57Speaker 2: fifty sixty points you're listening to this, well done. I
- 0:59Speaker 2: think that constitutes has a really good game week this week.
- 1:02Speaker 2: And if you've got like twenty five thirty points, you
- 1:05Speaker 2: weren't a million miles off the average of thirty eight.
- 1:07Speaker 2: So I mean, I'm trying to take these poor game
- 1:09Speaker 2: weeks on the cheer. This happened the future many times
- 1:11Speaker 2: to me this season, But I do think this one
- 1:14Speaker 2: was just a generally poor game week. Right. There wasn't
- 1:16Speaker 2: many points on show. We're going to talk about some
- 1:18Speaker 2: of the miss penalties and players not scoring good chances,
- 1:21Speaker 2: and players missing out like you had in your team.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Well, players not even showing up. Yeah, I mean I don't.
- 1:27Speaker 1: If I missed it, then tell me. But I don't
- 1:29Speaker 1: think there was even a hint of Mark Gayhee not
- 1:31Speaker 1: showing up for Crystal Palace at the weekend.
- 1:32Speaker 2: So even walk the Glasner said, so, well, this has
- 1:35Speaker 2: been bad.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Now I've got my ear to the ground and listening
- 1:39Speaker 1: to it. I'm hanging on every word that Klasner's saying
- 1:41Speaker 1: because I think he was talking about the fact that
- 1:43Speaker 1: he couldn't. Yeah, heavily bruised foot. Maybe there's a you
- 1:45Speaker 1: know's on crutches, et cetera. So yeah, I'm fingers crossed
- 1:49Speaker 1: he's going to be okay after the international break. But
- 1:52Speaker 1: for me, the gay he Knows show really was the
- 1:54Speaker 1: difference between a red and a great and I had
- 1:56Speaker 1: a very small red arrow. I was about one point
- 1:58Speaker 1: six million before the game week come at about one
- 2:00Speaker 1: point seven. Now I was bang average thirty eight, I
- 2:03Speaker 1: mean literally bang average on the points and Gayee not
- 2:06Speaker 1: turning up meant that I didn't get the Crystal Palace
- 2:09Speaker 1: clean sheet, clearly. And in a world where you know,
- 2:11Speaker 1: a lot of FPL players have got Crystal path they
- 2:14Speaker 1: are heavily backed, right, You've got the Richards and the
- 2:16Speaker 1: Laquas and the Munases. There's a lot of Crystal Palace
- 2:18Speaker 1: defense out there. So for Gaye not to play and
- 2:21Speaker 1: for Mark Gyu to come on with the one as
- 2:24Speaker 1: my auto sub, I'm kind of minus five against the
- 2:27Speaker 1: crowd on I a little bit. So yeah, had gay
- 2:30Speaker 1: turned up and got that clean sheet, my you know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: small red might have been a small green. But either way,
- 2:34Speaker 1: it's an average game week. So do you know what not?
- 2:38Speaker 1: You know, not a hell of a lot going on
- 2:39Speaker 1: in my team, but plenty of action on the pitch
- 2:42Speaker 1: to discuss as Let's start with Arsenal's draw at Sunderland then,
- 2:46Speaker 1: and before we talk about Arsenal, because they are obviously
- 2:48Speaker 1: going to be a topic of conversation for US Sunderland
- 2:52Speaker 1: no joke this season. Goodness me what a year they're
- 2:54Speaker 1: having so far after eleven game weeks. Their defense in particular,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and I know that they've conceded to here against Arsenal,
- 3:00Speaker 1: but going forward the defense looks great. Joint fourth for
- 3:03Speaker 1: clean sheets with four joint fourth for lowest XGC as well.
- 3:07Speaker 1: So the foundations on which this Sunderland side are built
- 3:10Speaker 1: are very very good. And I have to we have
- 3:11Speaker 1: to give kudos to Ballard, don't we. I mean, what
- 3:14Speaker 1: a performance from big Dan Ballard. I mean, more headed
- 3:17Speaker 1: chances than any other defender this season. So he's just
- 3:20Speaker 1: the big target man, isn't he from set pieces? What
- 3:22Speaker 1: a guy? And he took the goal so well as well,
- 3:25Speaker 1: didn't he What a finish. And then I found out
- 3:27Speaker 1: I didn't know this. Actually I'm not, you know, not
- 3:29Speaker 1: looking into Dan Ballard's history every week, but you know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: ex Arsenal was in the academy.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I didn't know that x Arsenal he sort of grew
- 3:37Speaker 1: up at hal End and a few different loans etcetera.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Didn't kind of work out for him. So yeah, this
- 3:41Speaker 1: was a big game for him, massive, massive performance and
- 3:44Speaker 1: potentially only in the team because Eldoretta is correct. Have
- 3:48Speaker 1: you served him earlier in the season, so come on
- 3:50Speaker 1: and taking his chance really really well. Well, before we
- 3:54Speaker 1: get on to Uston, what do you make his son?
- 3:55Speaker 1: What do you make of the game in general?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Well, they're a great team. I mean, you don't have,
- 3:59Speaker 2: you know, eleven weeks and be where they are in
- 4:01Speaker 2: the league and not say they're They're a good team,
- 4:03Speaker 2: isn't it. It's the consistency and the defense is really
- 4:06Speaker 2: is just really really strong. And I think the worry
- 4:08Speaker 2: when you go into Arsenal is Okay, your defense is good,
- 4:10Speaker 2: but are you going to be able to score any
- 4:12Speaker 2: goals against you know, arguably the best defense we've seen
- 4:15Speaker 2: in well probably since Chelsea's you know, fifteen goal season. Absolutely,
- 4:21Speaker 2: it was eight in a row without conceding, I think
- 4:22Speaker 2: for Arsenal.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I watched yeah, absolutely, yeah.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I was watching it with my dad and my dad
- 4:26Speaker 2: isn't a big fan of Arsenal, and he was saying
- 4:29Speaker 2: they're not that good. You know, they're over high, overrated,
- 4:33Speaker 2: and I'm they're saying, Dad, come on, you know, they've
- 4:35Speaker 2: won eight in a row, they haven't conceded and all this,
- 4:37Speaker 2: and then they go and draw to all with something.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I mean, he was over the moon when that second
- 4:40Speaker 2: sunblane went in. He felt so vindicated, you know. But
- 4:44Speaker 2: it was a great match. I've really really enjoyed it.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I thought it was, you know, it had It had
- 4:49Speaker 2: all different tactics, all different sides, and Arsenal attacking and
- 4:51Speaker 2: Sudden were playing deep and then they went on the
- 4:53Speaker 2: attack and Arsenal were dropping deep.
- 4:55Speaker 1: It was it was.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I'm really happy it finished too, too, because I think
- 4:58Speaker 2: some definitely deserved the point from it. From an FBL perspective,
- 5:01Speaker 2: I mean, Soccer obviously delivered, not a huge amount else
- 5:05Speaker 2: I don't think too many people playing sundon defenders in
- 5:07Speaker 2: this game anyway. Mukarely got the assist, but imagine he
- 5:09Speaker 2: was benched by quite a few. SOCCA scored, which he
- 5:11Speaker 2: needed to do because he's been ages since he got
- 5:13Speaker 2: any returns. But then the likes of Timber Gabrielle Rice
- 5:17Speaker 2: all failing really to deliver. So just ask you a
- 5:20Speaker 2: quick question about because you're right.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I think you're right. I think he did need to
- 5:26Speaker 1: return for his owners, but was it coming though a
- 5:28Speaker 1: bit because I bought him in this week and one
- 5:30Speaker 1: of the reasons I brought him in was because I
- 5:32Speaker 1: saw that Burnley game last week, two big chances missed,
- 5:35Speaker 1: a lot of chances created. I'm like, it feels like
- 5:37Speaker 1: there's a whole come in. So I think we were
- 5:40Speaker 1: kind of I wasn't shocked when he got the big
- 5:42Speaker 1: hole against that over the weekend.
- 5:44Speaker 2: No, I mean the trouble is and the story of
- 5:45Speaker 2: my season has been decent players who were just failing
- 5:48Speaker 2: to return. And I've had Gordon Enzo talk about him
- 5:51Speaker 2: a bit later. Be a problem, you know, sar the
- 5:54Speaker 2: players that have been scoring in cups and Champions League
- 5:57Speaker 2: games or Europe and then not delivering in in the league.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Sosaca had become another one of those. The thing is
- 6:02Speaker 2: you always know with Socca is the corner is going
- 6:04Speaker 2: to turn at some point. He is one of not
- 6:07Speaker 2: best exactly, it's one of the best players in the league,
- 6:09Speaker 2: played one of the best teams in the league. Doesn't
- 6:10Speaker 2: matter who he's playing. You know, he could be playing
- 6:12Speaker 2: Man City away and you're never going to completely write
- 6:15Speaker 2: him off getting something in that game. So, you know,
- 6:17Speaker 2: I think he was very very unlucky. You know, whatever happened,
- 6:22Speaker 2: whatever you want to call it, he could have had
- 6:23Speaker 2: some returns in that game. So I was pretty confident
- 6:26Speaker 2: going to something that he would get something. And if
- 6:28Speaker 2: you just brought him in this week like you did,
- 6:29Speaker 2: and you needed to avoid all of his blanks, I
- 6:32Speaker 2: don't you don't deserve him, That's what I'm going to say.
- 6:34Speaker 2: You don't deserve his points this week?
- 6:37Speaker 1: Is that not the art of fpl Yeah, I think
- 6:40Speaker 1: I'll get him it. Yeah, yeah, got him in for
- 6:43Speaker 1: Gordon as well, So I was quite happy with that.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I'll take that. I'll take that. And actually over the
- 6:46Speaker 1: weekend against under the seventeen attempts on goal larsen Or
- 6:49Speaker 1: seven on target just over two XG. So yeah, I
- 6:52Speaker 1: think fully deserving of you know, well at least a
- 6:55Speaker 1: point here, definitely could have had more. What do you
- 6:58Speaker 1: make of the Arsenal defense though? Two goals? Because see
- 7:00Speaker 1: that I mean for me, it's not a it's not
- 7:02Speaker 1: a concern whatsoever. I mean, as I was considering bringing
- 7:05Speaker 1: soccer in this week and it was because Jaccares got injured, right,
- 7:07Speaker 1: Joccars is injured. I don't think it's a really bad
- 7:10Speaker 1: one for Jacres, likely back over the international or after
- 7:13Speaker 1: the international break, according to our TETA. But We've got
- 7:16Speaker 1: to wait and see. But I just didn't want that
- 7:17Speaker 1: amount of money sitting on my bench for a couple
- 7:19Speaker 1: of weeks, hence the move to soccer. But I did
- 7:22Speaker 1: for a little while considered the treble Arsenal defense. And
- 7:25Speaker 1: there will be FPR managers out there that are on Gabrielle,
- 7:27Speaker 1: Timber and Rya or you know, a combination of the
- 7:30Speaker 1: three at the back for Arsenal. But it just shows you,
- 7:32Speaker 1: doesn't it. And the reason I didn't do it was
- 7:34Speaker 1: you just never know, you know, just one goal, isn't
- 7:37Speaker 1: It just takes a Dan Ballard screamer and then then yeah,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you'r gay weeks in the mud, isn't it. So that
- 7:42Speaker 1: was what put me off a little bit. But I'm
- 7:44Speaker 1: still on the double with Gabrielle and Raya, and I'm
- 7:47Speaker 1: pretty happy there are you.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I haven't got the double, so I've got I've got
- 7:50Speaker 2: Rice and soccer and then Gabrielle. Yeah, so the gold
- 7:54Speaker 2: meant a lot to me, you know, because a lot
- 7:55Speaker 2: of big around me. I've got the double defense. And
- 7:59Speaker 2: it's it's not a great feeling, you know, owning a
- 8:02Speaker 2: defender from a team and celebrating when they concede. That
- 8:04Speaker 2: isn't really how FBL should be should be played, but
- 8:08Speaker 2: that is how it is because Arsdal have been that good.
- 8:10Speaker 2: And you know it's Spurs and Chelsea next. It's it's
- 8:14Speaker 2: not the best two fixtures. You know, anything could happen
- 8:16Speaker 2: two big rivals. But you've got to say Spurs have
- 8:19Speaker 2: been pretty poor, especially from an attacking perspective, and you
- 8:23Speaker 2: know Chelsea are you would think, a top four team
- 8:26Speaker 2: this season, so it wouldn't massively surprise me to see
- 8:29Speaker 2: them concede in those games. But also you know sometimes
- 8:32Speaker 2: they step up, don't they in these in these games,
- 8:34Speaker 2: and you know prioritize the clean sheet and you know
- 8:37Speaker 2: it's early in the season. Nickel one Niel something like that,
- 8:40Speaker 2: So I wouldn't be worried if I had double defense.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Okay, oh right, very good. You mentioned Spurs. Let's move
- 8:45Speaker 1: it on to Spurs then, then you're right. In game week twelve,
- 8:47Speaker 1: after international break, we've got a hum dinger of a
- 8:49Speaker 1: North London derby, haven't we arsenal versus Spurs at the
- 8:53Speaker 1: at the Emirates though, which might actually suit Spurs. I
- 8:56Speaker 1: mean I noticed that Spurs, you know, as well as
- 8:58Speaker 1: only getting a point this weekend. Won only three of
- 9:01Speaker 1: their last twenty Premier League home games since we start
- 9:05Speaker 1: of twenty twenty five, So I don't know quite what's
- 9:07Speaker 1: going on with the stadium.
- 9:09Speaker 2: I know, I know, I.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Had this conversation with Sam over the weekend. I said,
- 9:13Speaker 1: you know, she goes more or less every week. I
- 9:15Speaker 1: was like, what's going on there? You know you have
- 9:17Speaker 1: to sit and watch you know these performances. Well, I
- 9:20Speaker 1: was going to say performances. Results and performances are not
- 9:22Speaker 1: getting either really at the moment, and we couldn't between
- 9:26Speaker 1: us kind of put our finger on it. And I
- 9:27Speaker 1: did wonder whether there's you know that the stadium is incredible.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Isn't that they've never been to Spurs but the stadium
- 9:31Speaker 1: is absolutely incredible. And I do wonder whether some of
- 9:33Speaker 1: the younger players in the squad are they getting a
- 9:35Speaker 1: bit overrawed. But I don't know. I'm clutching at straws
- 9:38Speaker 1: a little bit. But either way, the stats are, the
- 9:40Speaker 1: facts are that they've lost. I know they've only won
- 9:43Speaker 1: sorry three of their last twenty at home, so I
- 9:46Speaker 1: don't know. Maybe it suits them to be going to
- 9:48Speaker 1: Arsenal in game week twelve or I don't know, but
- 9:50Speaker 1: either way, it's not a game given Spurs form at
- 9:53Speaker 1: the moment, it's not necessarily a game that would worry
- 9:56Speaker 1: me in terms of my arsenal assets. So Spurs Manchester United,
- 10:00Speaker 1: let's talk about that game. Then, what do you make
- 10:01Speaker 1: of it?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they've got intership them. I mean, berg
- 10:03Speaker 2: Vale's a big mess. He started the season really strongly.
- 10:05Speaker 2: You lose someone like Madison, you lose a lot of
- 10:07Speaker 2: creativity in the team has been great and they've taken
- 10:11Speaker 2: him out. I mean, even someone like Persuma to give
- 10:13Speaker 2: them a bit of you know, depth. I mean, all
- 10:14Speaker 2: these players are injured. Chavvy's come in. I don't think
- 10:17Speaker 2: he's had a particularly great season. Tells, you know, signed permanently,
- 10:20Speaker 2: I don't. I wasn't that impressed with him last year
- 10:22Speaker 2: and I don't think he's been I know he scored
- 10:23Speaker 2: against man U, but I don't think he's been you know, amazing.
- 10:26Speaker 2: And then you lose like kudos as well, and it's like,
- 10:29Speaker 2: well where are the goals going to come from? And
- 10:31Speaker 2: to their credit, they managed to get a draw because
- 10:33Speaker 2: it looked like he was just heading to a to
- 10:35Speaker 2: another loss. So they'll be disappointed they conceded the goal
- 10:39Speaker 2: Riot at the death, but at the same time, getting
- 10:42Speaker 2: a point from that position might not be the end
- 10:43Speaker 2: of the world. That's just a funny team. I don't
- 10:45Speaker 2: really want anything to do with Spurs.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I don't know where to go in f PL. Yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 1: I mean Van de Ven. You can probably hard.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Talk to me about Van Derven. I mean that those
- 10:55Speaker 2: two goals.
- 10:58Speaker 1: That couple of weeks.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but then I mean he's then he turned into
- 11:00Speaker 2: MESSI didn't he in the Champions League, so you can't
- 11:02Speaker 2: todge you can't really begrudge him. But yeah, I'm just
- 11:05Speaker 2: I have no interest in in Spurs assets this this season.
- 11:07Speaker 2: They just don't appeal to me at all, from attacking
- 11:10Speaker 2: or defensive potentials. Then you come over to Manchester United
- 11:13Speaker 2: and it's it's only really in Boomer or Fernandez. I
- 11:16Speaker 2: think you're going to be considering from from then. I
- 11:18Speaker 2: haven't got either. I'm annoyed that I haven't got either,
- 11:22Speaker 2: because defensively they're shocking all over the place. You know,
- 11:26Speaker 2: I'm not backing them to keep any clean sheets because
- 11:28Speaker 2: they look so vulnerable. But attacking wise, which.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Way did you pick? That way? If I said to
- 11:32Speaker 1: you know, you've got to go with either in Brumo
- 11:34Speaker 1: or Bruno for next week. I think it's a it's
- 11:37Speaker 1: a tough choice.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I think there's there's no question. In my mind. I've
- 11:39Speaker 2: been saying it's all season. There's probably season the boom, No,
- 11:44Speaker 2: no question. I'm not a Bruno fan, but just it's
- 11:47Speaker 2: the it's the he don't get me wrong, he's a
- 11:50Speaker 2: good asset, he gets assists, he gets the death gone
- 11:52Speaker 2: occasionally this week what you can head all these Absolutely,
- 11:55Speaker 2: I'm not saying like you've got to sell him from Boomo.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I'm just saying if I was to pick, I still
- 11:59Speaker 2: think in Boomo, with the role he's playing, the directness
- 12:02Speaker 2: to position everything I would I would still go for him.
- 12:05Speaker 2: The only problem is the values are now getting. When
- 12:08Speaker 2: it was eight million and eight nine, it was a
- 12:10Speaker 2: complete no brainer. Yes, in my mind it's now eighty
- 12:13Speaker 2: five and eight nine. He's getting a bit more expensive now,
- 12:15Speaker 2: But is it I think if you get this is
- 12:17Speaker 2: the time. I think once they get to like nine
- 12:20Speaker 2: each then I think, maybe you know, the penalties switch
- 12:23Speaker 2: it in Bruno's favor and all of that. But for now,
- 12:27Speaker 2: m Boomo one hundred tent.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Still yeah, and the fixtures look really good for them.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Everton at home up next Crystal Palace away in thirteen,
- 12:33Speaker 1: which is obviously a difficult game. West, I'm at home
- 12:36Speaker 1: in fourteen walls and Bournemouth on the horizon. So you know,
- 12:39Speaker 1: if you were to if you were to forgive them
- 12:41Speaker 1: that Crystal Palace away game, then the fixtures do look good.
- 12:43Speaker 1: So I'm a Bruno owner, I'm I disagree with you
- 12:47Speaker 1: a little. I understand where you're coming from. I mean,
- 12:49Speaker 1: he's one of those frustrating watches where he can go
- 12:52Speaker 1: through a whole ninety minutes and not really do very
- 12:53Speaker 1: much and then just pop up with something like he
- 12:55Speaker 1: did right and in another world, And I'm I'm sure
- 13:00Speaker 1: we've said this on and Off the Bench podcast with
- 13:01Speaker 1: you and I before. In another world, he hasn't missed
- 13:04Speaker 1: those two penalties earlier in the season. He hasn't missed
- 13:06Speaker 1: out on deaf Con by just one c bit, you know,
- 13:09Speaker 1: three times yep. And we're all talking about him being
- 13:11Speaker 1: you know, almost borderline essential ahead of this run of fixtures.
- 13:14Speaker 1: So I have no plans to sell him. I will
- 13:16Speaker 1: be keeping him. However, however, I think you're right about
- 13:20Speaker 1: in Bomo. I think the form and the way that
- 13:22Speaker 1: United have set up around him is he is. You know,
- 13:26Speaker 1: I was going to say it hit the ground running
- 13:27Speaker 1: more than that. Actually, he's settled in so well at
- 13:29Speaker 1: Manchester United. He's now the leading FPL midfielder for non
- 13:32Speaker 1: penalty expected goal involvement. Right, So take pens out of
- 13:35Speaker 1: the equation for all those midfielders that take pens and
- 13:39Speaker 1: just focus on non penn Xgi and Bremo is top
- 13:42Speaker 1: across all midfielders and that's four goals in as many
- 13:44Speaker 1: matches now as well. So yeah, I think if I
- 13:47Speaker 1: was in your position and I had neither and I
- 13:50Speaker 1: wanted to invest ahead of this run, I think I
- 13:53Speaker 1: probably would go him. I think I probably would go
- 13:55Speaker 1: and Bomo over Fernandez, even if the price was the same.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I agree with you. I don't think it's worth the move.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I think we've got Bruno. I'll stick with him. But
- 14:03Speaker 1: if I had neither, yeah, I'd be very tempted by him.
- 14:07Speaker 2: So the one thing to bear in mind is he
- 14:08Speaker 2: does go to AFCON, and we're not entrying sure when
- 14:11Speaker 2: he's going to go, because I think ideally they like
- 14:14Speaker 2: them there a couple of weeks before the tournament starts.
- 14:16Speaker 2: But I think, man, you are pushing for him to
- 14:17Speaker 2: go quite late. We think it's going to be around
- 14:19Speaker 2: game week sixteen, whether he plays in that Bournemouth game.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Maybe he even gets the Villa game, although I think
- 14:24Speaker 2: that's probably quite unlikely, So I would imagine he goes
- 14:27Speaker 2: somewhere in the region of fifteen sixteen, which means you
- 14:29Speaker 2: only do get four or five weeks out of it,
- 14:30Speaker 2: but then of course you get the extra transfers to
- 14:32Speaker 2: come in.
- 14:32Speaker 1: It's easy to fix, isn't he.
- 14:33Speaker 2: That's easy to fix.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a five freeze, and at his price, you
- 14:37Speaker 1: can kind of go most other midfielder. You can go
- 14:39Speaker 1: anywhere with that price, can't you. I wouldn't put me
- 14:42Speaker 1: off getting him, I don't think for even though. Four
- 14:44Speaker 1: weeks worth of decent fixtures and then you can fix him,
- 14:46Speaker 1: if that's the right phrase. With the five freeze, Yeah,
- 14:48Speaker 1: I don't mind it. What do I do without him?
- 14:50Speaker 2: That's the big question, because he's become so crucial to
- 14:53Speaker 2: their attack and he's going to be a massive blow
- 14:55Speaker 2: for them over yeah.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Period. Well, there's no doubt about it, and I think
- 14:58Speaker 1: with the potential knee injury for Cesco as well, or
- 15:01Speaker 1: maybe they just start to look a little bit light
- 15:03Speaker 1: when it comes to Afrocanoman. It depends how bad Cesco's
- 15:05Speaker 1: injury is, right, But speaking of players that are crucial
- 15:08Speaker 1: for them, I noticed Casamiro as well. You know, if
- 15:11Speaker 1: it's a nice stat for you, right, if the Premier
- 15:13Speaker 1: League was based only on first halves of games, United
- 15:16Speaker 1: would be top right now, they'd be first. And if
- 15:19Speaker 1: the Premier League was based on only second halves of games,
- 15:22Speaker 1: they'd be eight team. So what does that say to you?
- 15:24Speaker 1: That says to me that there's a real quality drop
- 15:27Speaker 1: off in second halves of games. And for me, that
- 15:29Speaker 1: goes hand in hand with maybe Casamiro either you know,
- 15:33Speaker 1: his you know, not having the engine to go late
- 15:35Speaker 1: into games and or him being substituted off. I think
- 15:38Speaker 1: as a question mark around Manchester United squad depth a
- 15:40Speaker 1: little bit there as well. But you know, with the
- 15:43Speaker 1: fact they haven't got European football this season, they are
- 15:45Speaker 1: getting what they can out of Casamiro and I think
- 15:47Speaker 1: it's having a massive impact that you know, when he starts,
- 15:50Speaker 1: which is more often than not this season, they're doing
- 15:52Speaker 1: great in first halves, but as he starts to drop
- 15:55Speaker 1: off or as he gets substituted off. He saw it
- 15:57Speaker 1: in the Spurs game, right, Spurs come back and you
- 15:59Speaker 1: know could won that game two won quite easily were
- 16:02Speaker 1: it not for you know, last minute header from a
- 16:03Speaker 1: corner from the list. So yeah, not that I would
- 16:07Speaker 1: be picking him in FPL. So maybe this is a
- 16:08Speaker 1: non conversation, but Casimiro absolutely crucial, the stats say to
- 16:12Speaker 1: Manchester United success.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know it was the time he'd maybe
- 16:15Speaker 2: been written off a bit, right, the midfield had been
- 16:17Speaker 2: written off. Yes, it was a real era that we
- 16:19Speaker 2: thought they needed to buy in. I mean, belabor from
- 16:22Speaker 2: Brighton was being linked with them quite heavily. He's not
- 16:24Speaker 2: had a great, great start to the season, and I think,
- 16:27Speaker 2: you know, when all these players were signing, I think
- 16:29Speaker 2: a lot of MANU players are saying, well, where's the midfield?
- 16:30Speaker 2: You know, Agarte doesn't seem up to it. Maynu isn't favored.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Casamiro Is is maybe in the twilight of his career,
- 16:37Speaker 2: but he has had a fantastic start to the to
- 16:40Speaker 2: the season, not just in terms of performances, boards in
- 16:42Speaker 2: terms of the goal involvements, he's got I mean, he's
- 16:43Speaker 2: got three goal involvements in the last three games, and
- 16:47Speaker 2: you know, been crucial, crucial goals. Yeah, big win against
- 16:50Speaker 2: Brighton and obviously the draw against against Forest. But there's
- 16:52Speaker 2: no replacement, is there. There's no one that can come
- 16:54Speaker 2: in and do that job. And I think relying on Casamiro,
- 16:59Speaker 2: I mean he over the season, you know, to deliver
- 17:02Speaker 2: constantly is a big ask. So you pick one of Bruno,
- 17:06Speaker 2: Warre and Boomo and that's your lot. You don't even
- 17:09Speaker 2: look anywhere else in United. Yeah, that's it.
- 17:12Speaker 1: That's it. Well, you and I like a tenuous link
- 17:14Speaker 1: on this podcast. I'm going to go from a player
- 17:16Speaker 1: that's very important to Manchester United but maybe struggling in
- 17:19Speaker 1: his twilight years. And let's talk about Liverpool then, because
- 17:21Speaker 1: we've got plenty of those as well. That really was
- 17:24Speaker 1: a bad link. Sorry about that. Oh okay, well we'll
- 17:28Speaker 1: go with it. I don't know how much time I
- 17:30Speaker 1: want to spend on this game as because listen, after
- 17:32Speaker 1: the Raal Madrid game in midweek, I was coming into
- 17:35Speaker 1: this game full of positivity and I think even you
- 17:37Speaker 1: and I had a text conversation before the game saying
- 17:40Speaker 1: you know this is key for Liverpool this game, right,
- 17:42Speaker 1: If Liverpool can win this game on the back of
- 17:44Speaker 1: the Villa win and then the real Madrid win, then
- 17:46Speaker 1: if we win this it's like momentums. There the fixtures
- 17:49Speaker 1: for Liverpool from game week twelve looking credible, don't they.
- 17:52Speaker 1: So I was hoping we'd be on this podcast saying, well,
- 17:55Speaker 1: you know, not, shall we have any Liverpool. It's well,
- 17:57Speaker 1: which ones are you going for as and shall we
- 17:59Speaker 1: make the case Dike or could we have a conversation
- 18:01Speaker 1: about Shabboslai? But I just don't think we're going to
- 18:05Speaker 1: do that today. I just don't think we're going to
- 18:07Speaker 1: do it. And I think the fact that Liverpool was
- 18:08Speaker 1: so comprehensively beaten by Manchester City. Now say what you
- 18:11Speaker 1: like about the disallowed Virgil goal. I've got some opinions
- 18:13Speaker 1: that perhaps I won't share on this podcast with that,
- 18:15Speaker 1: but still that doesn't take away from the fact that
- 18:18Speaker 1: Liverpool were well beaten, like we were well beaten against City,
- 18:21Speaker 1: and City even had the luxury of missing the penalty,
- 18:24Speaker 1: didn't they. So before I kind of launched into any
- 18:26Speaker 1: more kind of red side of Merseyside rant, so I'll
- 18:29Speaker 1: get your take on the game of what you've what
- 18:31Speaker 1: you made of it. On Sunday afternoon, we.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Talked about Casimiro and you know, the need to replace him,
- 18:35Speaker 2: and he stepped up. I mean, Canate was the one
- 18:37Speaker 2: that a lot of people, I imagine including yourself, thought
- 18:40Speaker 2: we probably need to address this this season. And we're
- 18:42Speaker 2: something a lot of attacking players, but Canarte is a
- 18:44Speaker 2: weak link in this team potentially, and it was an
- 18:47Speaker 2: awful performance from him against City. I mean, there was
- 18:50Speaker 2: so many It's one of the worst performance I've seen
- 18:52Speaker 2: from Liverpool in a long long time. There wasn't I know,
- 18:54Speaker 2: Van Dyke obviously scored and I think it was a
- 18:56Speaker 2: bit harsh to rule that out, but I mean, other
- 18:59Speaker 2: than that, really there was nothing good coming from Liverpool
- 19:02Speaker 2: in that game. And the biggest thing for me was
- 19:04Speaker 2: from an FBL perspective, was just watching Mosala and I
- 19:07Speaker 2: just I can't it's the drop off. I've never seen
- 19:10Speaker 2: a bigger drop off from a player who scored pretty
- 19:13Speaker 2: much every game he played last season, or even when
- 19:16Speaker 2: he wasn't playing well, he managed to conjure something up
- 19:19Speaker 2: to score and I just I was watching that and
- 19:24Speaker 2: he had a good chance and missed it. He just
- 19:27Speaker 2: looked like to be snatching at things a bit. It
- 19:29Speaker 2: is offside. I think it's also four times in a
- 19:32Speaker 2: game as well, four times, but Harland's been off side
- 19:35Speaker 2: like what twelve times his entire life at Man City.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I'm doing very different players. But I don't know. I
- 19:42Speaker 2: just thought it was really poor. And then I mean
- 19:43Speaker 2: Florian Verts. I mean I talked about him at the
- 19:45Speaker 2: start of the season. I thought he was a potentially
- 19:47Speaker 2: a game breaker. You know, eight point five million every
- 19:50Speaker 2: its going to be in everyone's team, going to hit
- 19:51Speaker 2: twenty goal involvements. Just I don't know what they I
- 19:55Speaker 2: don't know. I think he's a massive problem for Liverball
- 19:57Speaker 2: because I don't know what you do with him. You
- 19:59Speaker 2: need to get the best out of him. You paid
- 20:00Speaker 2: one hundred million, but doesn't look up to it at
- 20:04Speaker 2: the moment. So I think there's big problems and I
- 20:06Speaker 2: think unfortunately, I think that's your title bit over this year.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Good luck next year.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Wow, scathing, That wasn't it That last couple of minutes.
- 20:12Speaker 1: That was very difficult to listen to. But yeah, thank
- 20:14Speaker 1: you for that. Other than that great performance. Other than that, yeah,
- 20:18Speaker 1: it's all good. I'm gonna I'm going to just the
- 20:21Speaker 1: in the spirit of balance, I'm going to try and
- 20:23Speaker 1: make a case for most Salah, right, and you and
- 20:25Speaker 1: you're not going to like it, and I think you're
- 20:27Speaker 1: I'm going to try and make a case, the only
- 20:28Speaker 1: case that I can make. And by the way, I
- 20:30Speaker 1: am clutching that straws a little bit, I will heavily
- 20:32Speaker 1: caveat this. Next sort of thirty seconds worth of Salah
- 20:35Speaker 1: conversation is that he had seven shots against Manchester City
- 20:38Speaker 1: and he assisted three other shots for created three other
- 20:41Speaker 1: shots shooting opportunities that say, for Liverpool. So of the
- 20:45Speaker 1: XG that we created and we out x G, the
- 20:47Speaker 1: non penalty XG in this game was City with nero
- 20:49Speaker 1: point nine, Liverpool with one point four, so we did
- 20:51Speaker 1: out XG them on a non pen XG perspective, and
- 20:55Speaker 1: Salah was sixty percent of that, right, he was sixty
- 20:57Speaker 1: percent of that one point four XG. So he was
- 20:59Speaker 1: in that. I agree with you. The getting court aside
- 21:02Speaker 1: is not great, and you know, be nice if he
- 21:05Speaker 1: you know, if we had some other players that could
- 21:06Speaker 1: finish some of the chances that he was creating, but
- 21:10Speaker 1: he was he was fundamentally part of the XG that
- 21:13Speaker 1: we created. But as a Liverpool fan, and this is
- 21:16Speaker 1: a bit more of a Liverpool comment than an FPL comment,
- 21:18Speaker 1: so I don't make it quickly, but aren't Liverpool supposed
- 21:21Speaker 1: to be building a team that reduces our reliance on
- 21:25Speaker 1: mosalah R? Like the whole point of going and buy
- 21:27Speaker 1: inverts and you know, Esach and players like that was
- 21:30Speaker 1: that we've got. You know, we're spreading the contribution that
- 21:33Speaker 1: Mosala made last season around the rest of the team,
- 21:35Speaker 1: almost kind of in preparation for when he eventually does
- 21:38Speaker 1: lead the club. And I don't know the fact that
- 21:41Speaker 1: he was so he was involved in a lot of
- 21:43Speaker 1: our admittedly pretty low level XG is a bit of
- 21:46Speaker 1: a worry for me as a Liverpool fan. So all
- 21:48Speaker 1: that goes to say that the whole you know, the
- 21:50Speaker 1: end of you know, after everything you've said there and
- 21:53Speaker 1: that little bit that I've said there, I just don't
- 21:55Speaker 1: think that you can go to Liverpool from game week
- 21:57Speaker 1: to a half, despite the fixtures looking so good. And
- 21:59Speaker 1: I have to say, coming into this game, or coming
- 22:02Speaker 1: into City game, I'm thinking I'm like scouting Liverpool, like,
- 22:05Speaker 1: who's who am I going who's going to kind of
- 22:07Speaker 1: step forward and say I want to be in your
- 22:09Speaker 1: FPL team in game with Tom, I don't think you
- 22:11Speaker 1: can go at sealer. I just don't think you can
- 22:13Speaker 1: be so price prohibitive anyway that how you and how
- 22:17Speaker 1: are you going to get there? Right? It'll be a
- 22:18Speaker 1: lot of FPR managers that will only be able to
- 22:21Speaker 1: get to Sala by selling Harlan.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Well, you ain't doing that, are you.
- 22:23Speaker 1: You're just not doing that right now. So it's as
- 22:26Speaker 1: a Liverpool found it's very difficult for me to sit
- 22:28Speaker 1: here and say it and accept it. But after a
- 22:30Speaker 1: fourth consecutive away defeat for us, we're now eighth in
- 22:32Speaker 1: the league, I just I'm just not going to go
- 22:35Speaker 1: there as I'm just not going to go there an FPR.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Sobber's line is the only one. He's the only one
- 22:41Speaker 2: I'd look at and I don't want him, but he's
- 22:44Speaker 2: the only one I think is price all right as
- 22:48Speaker 2: six six. Given the fixtures, I would rather I've got
- 22:50Speaker 2: sarn Rice. I wouldn't swap either of those for him.
- 22:53Speaker 2: But if you do think that Liverpool are going to
- 22:55Speaker 2: do well over the period, I think he's the one
- 22:57Speaker 2: you go for because the other one I'd want would
- 22:58Speaker 2: be Gagpo And I can't understand why he's not playing
- 23:02Speaker 2: because every time I've seen him play this season, I
- 23:03Speaker 2: thought he's been your best player.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Is trying to get firts in the team? Isn't he
- 23:06Speaker 1: anywhere he can? I mean eleven appearances, zero goal, zero assists.
- 23:10Speaker 1: You're right, we're not getting him either. So Gappo adverts
- 23:13Speaker 1: now seemingly battling it out for that left hand side spot,
- 23:16Speaker 1: So difficult to go for either of those. Move the
- 23:19Speaker 1: conversation on very quickly into City. I didn't know how
- 23:22Speaker 1: to Seguay out of that, so just like, let's move
- 23:24Speaker 1: it on. I don't talk about Liverpool anymore. For every
- 23:26Speaker 1: you know, maybe negative point we've got about Liverpool, we
- 23:29Speaker 1: have to say hats off to Man City and it's
- 23:31Speaker 1: a great performance, wasn't it. Liverpool didn't exactly give them
- 23:34Speaker 1: too much of a game in periods, but we have
- 23:36Speaker 1: to say it was a fantastic performance by them. Now,
- 23:39Speaker 1: Harland's now hit one hundred points after eleven games. That's
- 23:42Speaker 1: the third fastest fpl Asset to ever do it, as
- 23:46Speaker 1: to ever do it. The first is Seller in twenty
- 23:48Speaker 1: one twenty two where he did it after nine games,
- 23:50Speaker 1: and then Harland himself in twenty two to twenty three
- 23:53Speaker 1: did it after nine games also, But you know he's
- 23:55Speaker 1: now the third fastest to hit one hundred points, so
- 23:58Speaker 1: sensational stuff. So I don't think it's too much where
- 24:01Speaker 1: we need to say about early in Harden. I think
- 24:02Speaker 1: if you haven't yet got him in your team, I
- 24:03Speaker 1: think you probably need to need to address that pretty quickly.
- 24:07Speaker 1: But I've got to Johnny Rinders. He looks like a
- 24:09Speaker 1: self after missing out on the start for the second
- 24:12Speaker 1: week in a row. A Up until this game week,
- 24:15Speaker 1: I was kind of unsure as to where to go.
- 24:17Speaker 1: But there are now a couple of City midfielders that
- 24:19Speaker 1: might be just kind of staking their claim for us
- 24:21Speaker 1: in FPL as. I mean, Docu in this game was
- 24:24Speaker 1: like unbelievable, like electric, eleven touches in the box, seven
- 24:28Speaker 1: take ons, completed, three chances, created, three shots, three on
- 24:31Speaker 1: target and one goal and what a goal as well.
- 24:34Speaker 1: So I definitely am thinking about and I've got money
- 24:36Speaker 1: in the bank so I can do it. I'm definitely
- 24:37Speaker 1: thinking about getting off of Rinders for next week. Might
- 24:40Speaker 1: be having a look at Doku.
- 24:41Speaker 2: I don't know, come on, getting off of Docu, getting
- 24:45Speaker 2: off of rinders to go just literally, yeah, you're only
- 24:51Speaker 2: going to cause pain. This is said. We'd be most
- 24:54Speaker 2: upmost respect to City because I think they are a
- 24:55Speaker 2: fantastic side, and congrats to Pair. But I'm sure he's
- 24:58Speaker 2: listening to this podcast with thousands game. But I would
- 25:01Speaker 2: not be considering any player in that team other than
- 25:03Speaker 2: Harlan at the moment because I don't fully trust their defense.
- 25:08Speaker 2: I know it's a clean sheet in that game, but
- 25:09Speaker 2: I still think teams can can get at them. I
- 25:11Speaker 2: don't like any of the midfielders. Foden would be a
- 25:15Speaker 2: great pick if he was actually getting consistent returns and
- 25:17Speaker 2: he hasn't, which I think if you've had him all
- 25:19Speaker 2: over this whole period, he's been playing like close to
- 25:21Speaker 2: nineteen minutes every game, I think you'd be really disappointed
- 25:23Speaker 2: that he hasn't managed to get you anything over the
- 25:26Speaker 2: last few weeks. I wouldn't be going near Dokku because
- 25:28Speaker 2: don't forget he was playing absolute incredibly. Pep said we
- 25:31Speaker 2: need him against load block teams. He's our key player.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Benched against Everton, the ultimate low block team.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Just true. FPR manager that's been stung many times by
- 25:38Speaker 1: the PET I totally understand where you're coming up, absolutely well.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Think of like the mah rees Is of previous seasons
- 25:44Speaker 2: and and all the players. I mean, I just I
- 25:46Speaker 2: just would not be going anywhere near them. I think
- 25:48Speaker 2: at six million, six five million. You know, I mentioned Rice,
- 25:51Speaker 2: I mentioned Sar, You've got and die at Everton. I
- 25:54Speaker 2: just think there's far better options to a key players
- 25:57Speaker 2: for their teams. Who are you know, a lot of
- 25:59Speaker 2: got set pieces, pen good underlying stats. Stick with Harlan
- 26:03Speaker 2: and keep your captain ty on him and avoid the rest.
- 26:05Speaker 1: That's my that's very take. Yeah, yeah, once bit and
- 26:07Speaker 1: twice shy with Manchester City. I totally get you. Let's
- 26:11Speaker 1: talk about Villa versus Bournemouth then Semeno in many many
- 26:14Speaker 1: FPL teams. That's his third blank in a rona, only
- 26:17Speaker 1: nine points in his last four. I noticed Evan Nielsen
- 26:20Speaker 1: was back, so I think from the bits and pieces
- 26:23Speaker 1: that I watched of that game, it did seem to
- 26:25Speaker 1: benefit him. I mean, we've spoken before about the fact
- 26:28Speaker 1: that Croopy Junior when he plays, is a little bit
- 26:30Speaker 1: more a greedy player. Evan Nielson's a bit more of
- 26:32Speaker 1: a team player from that perspective, you know, keeping center
- 26:35Speaker 1: backs occupied so that players like Samna can find the space.
- 26:38Speaker 1: So I think it was a more of a kind
- 26:41Speaker 1: of Semno from early on in the season performance and
- 26:43Speaker 1: of course if he scores the penalty then we're not
- 26:45Speaker 1: even probably having this conversation. And the fixtures I think
- 26:48Speaker 1: are good for Bournemouth going forward, like west Ham at home.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Next of course Sundland away in thirteen absolutely not an
- 26:53Speaker 1: easy game based on everything we said before. But then
- 26:55Speaker 1: Everton and Chelsea both at home. So four home games
- 26:58Speaker 1: in the next four four Bournemouth and you know, if
- 27:01Speaker 1: anyone wants on the road, if anyone once in their
- 27:04Speaker 1: six away games so far this season, conceded sixteen goals
- 27:07Speaker 1: in that process, so away from home, they you know
- 27:10Speaker 1: it's not been good for them. But by contrast, only
- 27:12Speaker 1: two goals conceded at home, and like I said, three
- 27:15Speaker 1: of the next four hour at home. So for me,
- 27:17Speaker 1: I'm not panicking at all on Semeno or SONESSI am
- 27:20Speaker 1: I two born withouth players in my team. But how
- 27:23Speaker 1: do you feel about it, because, like I say, that's
- 27:24Speaker 1: that's three blanks in a row now, for Semena.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Semnia is a frustrating one because obviously his price
- 27:29Speaker 2: has gone up so much from when we bought him.
- 27:30Speaker 2: A lot of us brought him at seven seven and
- 27:32Speaker 2: one something like that. So he goes into a run
- 27:34Speaker 2: like Crystal Palace. Okay, Forrest are great this season, but
- 27:37Speaker 2: Crystal Palace away, Man's City away asen Vidda away. That's
- 27:40Speaker 2: three very very tough away games. And I do wonder
- 27:43Speaker 2: if we didn't have so much value tied up in him,
- 27:45Speaker 2: whether that might have been a you know, we might
- 27:48Speaker 2: be looking at that run and thinking maybe we can
- 27:50Speaker 2: move him too, an in Buomo or a Sar or something. Okay,
- 27:53Speaker 2: some players haven't delivered that. Sara hasn't really delivered, but
- 27:56Speaker 2: Booma would have done if you've gone for him over him.
- 27:58Speaker 2: But if you've held him for this, I don't know
- 28:01Speaker 2: why you would think of selling him now, because he's
- 28:03Speaker 2: had his he's had his tough fixtures. You know, those
- 28:05Speaker 2: are tough, and he hasn't delivered, but they are tough.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I mean west Ham at home, west Ham next. But
- 28:13Speaker 2: you can't, you can't, you can't, you can't sell him
- 28:15Speaker 2: ahead of the head of those I don't think it.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Nev Nilsen's back. I mean the interesting one with the
- 28:19Speaker 2: penalty is, you know Climate was back in the team.
- 28:21Speaker 2: We've talked on this pot and I'm saying, when Clive's back,
- 28:24Speaker 2: what happens, And I think we both said, yeah, we
- 28:26Speaker 2: think Clive will pick him back up. You know, he's
- 28:28Speaker 2: scored a hat trick of penalties, you know, last season.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Surely don't take of him. I don't think there's any
- 28:33Speaker 2: doubt now right when Climate's on the pitch, Semnia is
- 28:36Speaker 2: not taking that penalty. So you lose a bit of
- 28:39Speaker 2: a bit of that with him because the penalty is
- 28:41Speaker 2: obviously very healthy, but he is very low down on
- 28:46Speaker 2: my cell list. If you're going to do it, you
- 28:47Speaker 2: should have done it three weeks ago.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Yeah, totally. Yeah, the pictures are there for him to
- 28:50Speaker 1: rediscover a bit of form, no doubt. Let's talk about Villa.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Then just lost once in the last twenty four Premier
- 28:56Speaker 1: League home games, which was a start. I couldn't believe
- 28:58Speaker 1: when I wrote it down in the note, Wow, but yeah,
- 29:01Speaker 1: pretty good at home. So I think with you know,
- 29:03Speaker 1: Wolves at home in game week thirteen, I mean that's
- 29:05Speaker 1: one definitely to have a look at and target. I'm
- 29:07Speaker 1: not really sure where I would go though. In FPL though,
- 29:10Speaker 1: as mean, Watkins has scored once in sixteen games in
- 29:12Speaker 1: all competitions for Villa this season, and he's been left
- 29:15Speaker 1: out the England squad, so he's not exactly banging form.
- 29:17Speaker 1: The man that did the business here at the weekend
- 29:19Speaker 1: was that stunning free kit, wasn't it Buendia. He's only
- 29:22Speaker 1: five point three in FPL. The minutes are an issue, right,
- 29:25Speaker 1: He's only played in the last five He's only played
- 29:27Speaker 1: two hundred and five minutes, so he rarely gets the start.
- 29:30Speaker 1: He's coming on and you know, making an impact more
- 29:32Speaker 1: often than not. But three goals and two assists in
- 29:35Speaker 1: those last five games, so he's like, he's high impact,
- 29:37Speaker 1: isn't he despite the fact he's not getting the minutes.
- 29:39Speaker 1: He's high impact. So if Emery does look at him
- 29:41Speaker 1: and go, well you should be starting, or perhaps I
- 29:43Speaker 1: should up your minutes at five three? Could you be tempted? No,
- 29:49Speaker 1: all these options I'm trying to give.
- 29:50Speaker 2: You, as job is always trying and give me rotation
- 29:54Speaker 2: options and.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Options. Give me good ones, yeah, okay, good?
- 30:00Speaker 2: Basically, well give me options that Okay, that is the
- 30:03Speaker 2: third one. I think, you know, I think has actually
- 30:05Speaker 2: been really good this season. I think Villa have struggled,
- 30:08Speaker 2: you know, for quite a lot. But when I've seen
- 30:10Speaker 2: him play, he looks you know, he looked good at
- 30:12Speaker 2: Norwich and he signed the Villa had a bit of
- 30:13Speaker 2: a run in the team, but I thought he'd have
- 30:16Speaker 2: been sold by now, to be honest, because he didn't
- 30:17Speaker 2: look like he had the fallbacking. I'm still not totally
- 30:20Speaker 2: sure he does. He hasn't completed ninety minutes all season,
- 30:24Speaker 2: for example, for them in the league. There's potential there,
- 30:27Speaker 2: but that's what you want to see eighty ninety minutes consistently,
- 30:31Speaker 2: so you know, come back to me when he's played
- 30:33Speaker 2: three or four ninety minutes back to back and then
- 30:35Speaker 2: we can talk about him.
- 30:35Speaker 1: But until then, it's very good, very good. I've got
- 30:39Speaker 1: I've got another one for you in this next game.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Wait for this one. Chelsea Versus Wolves and Enzo Fernandez.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Have you got Enso in your team? I think you
- 30:44Speaker 1: have over here. I've age from what I watched easily
- 30:50Speaker 1: man of the match, superb performance, Absolutely fantastic performance from
- 30:54Speaker 1: Enso Fernandez. More shots than anybody else in the game
- 30:57Speaker 1: with five, you know, one of those off the line,
- 31:00Speaker 1: So an all round brilliant performance. But in FPL we
- 31:04Speaker 1: don't necessarily get the points for nice performances, do we.
- 31:07Speaker 1: We need the goals, we need the assists, we need
- 31:08Speaker 1: the death cons right, and only got a three pointer.
- 31:11Speaker 1: So how are you feeling about him? I know that
- 31:14Speaker 1: he's ruled himself out of international duty with Argentine. That
- 31:17Speaker 1: wasn't he He said his knees a bit niggerly or whatever.
- 31:19Speaker 1: It doesn't sound like it's going to be a really
- 31:20Speaker 1: bad one, but it's enough for him to not travel
- 31:23Speaker 1: with Argentina. So maybe as a Fernandez owner and FPR,
- 31:26Speaker 1: that's what you want to hear, maybe that's a good thing.
- 31:29Speaker 1: So give me a view on Fernandez, but then also
- 31:31Speaker 1: the rest of the Chelsea assets, because that's what now
- 31:32Speaker 1: two in two for jaq Pedro since I sold him.
- 31:35Speaker 1: So you know, that's very typical of the season's gone.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Neto scoring against his old club. And here's the curve
- 31:43Speaker 1: ball for you. See if I can tempt you with
- 31:44Speaker 1: this one, Alejandro Garnad show four goals and assists in
- 31:47Speaker 1: his last four games in all competitions for Chelsea seems
- 31:50Speaker 1: to be Moreska's left winger of choice certainly at the moment,
- 31:54Speaker 1: So a few options from Chelsea, you know, yeah.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I mean you ask how I feel about Inzo, I
- 31:58Speaker 2: think the answer is sick mostly. I'm so. I'm gutted,
- 32:03Speaker 2: absolutely because I brot him in ahead of Liverpool home
- 32:06Speaker 2: and he missed a really really good chance and he
- 32:08Speaker 2: headed it just just wired. And then he missed out
- 32:11Speaker 2: against Forest. He came back to fintesstial break injured, so
- 32:13Speaker 2: I didn't get anything from that. And then he's played Sunderland,
- 32:16Speaker 2: Spurs and Wolves and over those three games his XGI
- 32:20Speaker 2: has been zero point seventy five, zero point sixty five
- 32:22Speaker 2: and zero point five six. So you know, these are
- 32:25Speaker 2: like some of the best numbers in the league, and
- 32:27Speaker 2: he's got absolutely no points to show for it. So
- 32:30Speaker 2: the easy thing for me to say is you hold
- 32:33Speaker 2: and you know the stats are good. Eventually points are
- 32:35Speaker 2: going to come. The issue is that they needed to
- 32:37Speaker 2: have come really starting now, like Wolves at home was.
- 32:40Speaker 1: A key game.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Burnley next absolutely, because then it's Arstor home leads away,
- 32:45Speaker 2: Bornemouth away. I don't like any of those I don't
- 32:48Speaker 2: like any of those fixtures for him, so I might
- 32:50Speaker 2: even be looking to get rid of him in thirteen.
- 32:53Speaker 2: And if he blanks against Burnley and puts in some
- 32:55Speaker 2: more good stats, you know it's it's going to be
- 32:58Speaker 2: really disappointing. So he's been absolutely fantasy for Chelsea. He's
- 33:01Speaker 2: been playing the match in quite a few games I've seen.
- 33:03Speaker 2: He's an unbelievable player. But yeah, f PL wise, it
- 33:05Speaker 2: just hasn't been happening, which is a real game. We've
- 33:07Speaker 2: had these players before in FPL. I haven't we where
- 33:09Speaker 2: they just passed the eye tests and they are just
- 33:11Speaker 2: so integral to their teams, but it just don't get
- 33:14Speaker 2: the FPL points and it's so frustrating. Wolves, for their part,
- 33:17Speaker 2: only three shots all game. They didn't have any shots
- 33:19Speaker 2: in the first hour.
- 33:20Speaker 1: So some rumor on the meal isn't there about maybe
- 33:23Speaker 1: a new manager coming in and maybe they've got somebody,
- 33:25Speaker 1: But I think for now they seem to be a
- 33:28Speaker 1: team that we should continue to target. Crystal Palace up
- 33:31Speaker 1: next for them, and then Villa Aways is not going
- 33:33Speaker 1: to get any easier for them, certainly in the short term.
- 33:36Speaker 1: So let's move to Everton versus Fulham, then Fulham themselves
- 33:40Speaker 1: in a little bit of a sticky patch. Only Wolves
- 33:42Speaker 1: are worse than them actually in the form table. So
- 33:45Speaker 1: I know it was Josh King for his owners, and
- 33:47Speaker 1: certainly I'm one of them in FPL. Didn't get the
- 33:50Speaker 1: start here in this game, He's benched, and I think
- 33:53Speaker 1: the manager came out afterward, Tomaco Silver and said that
- 33:55Speaker 1: it was due to the physicality of the game, right,
- 33:57Speaker 1: that Everton would be physical. And I noticed actually that
- 33:59Speaker 1: he was only benched previously this season Josh King against
- 34:03Speaker 1: Newcastle before this Everton game, which kind of makes sense, right,
- 34:05Speaker 1: because if I was going to think, if I think
- 34:07Speaker 1: in my head about physical teams, I do think teams
- 34:09Speaker 1: like Newcastle, I do think teams like Everton. So maybe
- 34:12Speaker 1: there's something there to look out for. If you're a
- 34:15Speaker 1: Josh King owner in FPR on you and he's coming
- 34:17Speaker 1: up or Fulhamer coming up against these kind of more
- 34:19Speaker 1: physical teams, does he get the start. I don't know,
- 34:21Speaker 1: but he did have an impact when he come on
- 34:23Speaker 1: in this game. But there's an Everton were deserved winners here.
- 34:26Speaker 1: They come out onto I think they had fourteen shots
- 34:27Speaker 1: to eight and they won the XG battle as well,
- 34:30Speaker 1: so I think they were deserving winners here, And as
- 34:33Speaker 1: a Tarkovski owner, I was reasonably happy with the five.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I thought he got the booking, didn't he for argument
- 34:38Speaker 1: an argument just before halftime, So I think I take
- 34:41Speaker 1: the five. But then I watched the highlights of this
- 34:43Speaker 1: game and he had one ruled out just for offside,
- 34:46Speaker 1: didn't he in the first half? And then another one
- 34:47Speaker 1: off the bar in the build up to the opener.
- 34:49Speaker 1: So I was like, oh me as a Tarkovski owner,
- 34:53Speaker 1: could have been a hole for him, could have been
- 34:55Speaker 1: a hole. But in the end I have to accept
- 34:56Speaker 1: the five. Everton versus Fulham. Then what do you make
- 34:58Speaker 1: of the game.
- 35:00Speaker 2: The problem with Tarkovsky is you get him in for
- 35:01Speaker 2: the Deaf Cons, right, that's what you pay that extra
- 35:04Speaker 2: you know million for over someone like Keane potentially because
- 35:07Speaker 2: I know Keen scored the goal and you know fair
- 35:09Speaker 2: play if you had him, that's that's an amazing corners
- 35:12Speaker 2: I've knowed.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Yeah, this is it.
- 35:15Speaker 2: So why why would you know if you were buying now?
- 35:18Speaker 2: I don't think there's any question, right, I mean, it's
- 35:19Speaker 2: it's three non Deaf Con games. That's the phrase for
- 35:24Speaker 2: Tarkovsky in a row, and he had seven and eight
- 35:27Speaker 2: before that, So I don't Yeah, I don't know if
- 35:30Speaker 2: something's changed or or or what's happening. But when you're
- 35:33Speaker 2: paying five to five for a defender who I mean Everton,
- 35:35Speaker 2: you know can obviously grind out a one nil, but
- 35:37Speaker 2: they're not like a top top top defense. You need
- 35:39Speaker 2: to be getting I think those regular those regular returns.
- 35:42Speaker 2: So he could potentially be a bit of a problem
- 35:45Speaker 2: for you. I mean, we we've got, like if you
- 35:46Speaker 2: look at the historical data of Tarkovsky and deaf cons,
- 35:49Speaker 2: he is someone who continues to get them. So maybe
- 35:51Speaker 2: this is just a bit of a blip and he
- 35:52Speaker 2: comes back into it. Maybe it's the fixtures all the way,
- 35:54Speaker 2: you know, certain style of play i'd imagine just start
- 35:57Speaker 2: picking them up again. But yeah, he needs to start
- 35:59Speaker 2: start delivering fulham though. I mean they've only beaten wolves.
- 36:03Speaker 2: We talk about Wolves earlier being the Tim's target fulham
- 36:06Speaker 2: thrush THEWN be three nil yeah last week. Other than that, yeah,
- 36:12Speaker 2: so they've been really really poor. I think him and
- 36:14Speaker 2: Theez has been rushed back from this injury because they
- 36:17Speaker 2: need a striker up top and Josh King would be
- 36:20Speaker 2: the only one I'd invest in if he was playing
- 36:22Speaker 2: regularly because he's so cheap, but he's not, so I
- 36:25Speaker 2: can't advise any of their any of their players. The
- 36:28Speaker 2: only one who I think is going under the radar
- 36:30Speaker 2: still is Anderson because the way he picks up deaf
- 36:35Speaker 2: cons each each week is remarkable. And if they do
- 36:39Speaker 2: turn things around and start getting the clean sheets again,
- 36:41Speaker 2: he's going to be an amazing pick because you're looking,
- 36:43Speaker 2: you know, if they can keep a couple of clean
- 36:44Speaker 2: sheets in a row. He's getting eight points and angry
- 36:46Speaker 2: and I agree with you on the Himenez thing.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I do think he's been rushed back a little bit
- 36:49Speaker 1: and I think from that perspective, I think they'll still
- 36:51Speaker 1: struggle in front of goal. I think they'll toil in
- 36:52Speaker 1: front of goal over the next few weeks. And with
- 36:54Speaker 1: Sunderland up next, who we said before, with the stats right,
- 36:57Speaker 1: they've shown themselves to be very, very astute offensively, I
- 37:00Speaker 1: think Fulham will struggle to score despite it being at
- 37:02Speaker 1: craven Cottage next week. So get your Sunderland players. On paper,
- 37:05Speaker 1: you'd go well sundlond Away at Fulham. Maybe in game
- 37:07Speaker 1: week one you'd go, I'm not picking a Sundon player
- 37:09Speaker 1: for that. If you've got a Sundlond defender, I think
- 37:11Speaker 1: you're playing next week. I think you're absolutely A quick
- 37:14Speaker 1: word on west Ham versus Burnley. Then Walker Peters I
- 37:16Speaker 1: noticed upsetting all of the Bowing owners in FBL by
- 37:20Speaker 1: nicking a goal literally off his foot from a yard out.
- 37:23Speaker 1: I also noticed he went on Instagram afterwards Walker Peter's
- 37:25Speaker 1: to almostick. He apologize he the FPL owners of Boeing.
- 37:30Speaker 1: So yeah, it's a difficult one for bowing owners to
- 37:33Speaker 1: take and actually has houd no goals for bowing in
- 37:35Speaker 1: his last five So if you've got him in FPL,
- 37:37Speaker 1: is he a sell and packetar As were picking up
- 37:39Speaker 1: his fifth book in he's banned for game week twelve,
- 37:41Speaker 1: so it's a bit of a west Ham exodus maybe
- 37:43Speaker 1: in FPL.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I you've going into this game. I've
- 37:47Speaker 2: held him for ages and I was hoping for something
- 37:49Speaker 2: and he just didn't look like he was going to
- 37:51Speaker 2: give an xt gyar of nor Point. No one I
- 37:54Speaker 2: think he was, so you know, his crossing has been
- 37:56Speaker 2: quite good all season that he didn't like it was
- 37:58Speaker 2: going to happen, So that was really disappointing. Other west
- 38:00Speaker 2: Ham I think this is the time to sell, right.
- 38:01Speaker 2: I mean, they've they've had they've had a couple of wins,
- 38:04Speaker 2: You've got a few points from players up. Pakatar, Okay,
- 38:06Speaker 2: Bowen's been disappointing, but born with Away Liverpool at home
- 38:09Speaker 2: Man United away Brighton, away Villa at home Man City
- 38:12Speaker 2: Way doesn't really get much worse than that. And for
- 38:15Speaker 2: someone like Pakatar, you know, it's an easy cell. He suspended.
- 38:18Speaker 2: There's good options around six million. Yeah, and same with Bowen. Right,
- 38:23Speaker 2: you can go for Mateta, you can get Valdamada, Tiago,
- 38:26Speaker 2: who imagine we're going to speak about in a second.
- 38:28Speaker 2: There's good options too, So yeah, sell easy sell, Yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Well you're right, let's let's do that. Then let's go
- 38:32Speaker 1: straight to Brentford versus Newcast and talk about Thiago. I
- 38:35Speaker 1: for one considered bringing him in this week. I was
- 38:37Speaker 1: very very close. When I did the Jakres move and
- 38:40Speaker 1: got soccer in midfield. It's still meant that I had
- 38:42Speaker 1: a little bit of money. I had a bit of
- 38:44Speaker 1: money in the bank to potentially have Thiago up front
- 38:47Speaker 1: in that Chakare spot. But in the end, I decided
- 38:49Speaker 1: to keep the money in the bank go for Geu
- 38:51Speaker 1: in that spot so that I can do something with
- 38:53Speaker 1: Randers next week. But I really wish that i'd got
- 38:56Speaker 1: Thiago this week. So that's two goals this week looked
- 38:59Speaker 1: very good, really really good. Right, It's only three points
- 39:01Speaker 1: from a possible eighteen for Newcastle away from home and
- 39:04Speaker 1: that's said two successive weeks they've gone ahead and lost.
- 39:07Speaker 1: So yeah, props to Brentford and props to to Thiago.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Got the job done here, but Newcastle away from home
- 39:13Speaker 1: looking a little bit shaky to say the least, and
- 39:15Speaker 1: with I think maybe a knock to Pope. We've got
- 39:18Speaker 1: to see what, you know, the Nick Pope injury looks like.
- 39:20Speaker 1: But he did go off Ramsdale coming in. Couldn't save
- 39:22Speaker 1: the Thiago penalty, could he. And we've Liverramento I think
- 39:25Speaker 1: still out at the back there, Dan Byrne now getting
- 39:27Speaker 1: the red car so he's going to be suspended for
- 39:29Speaker 1: a little bit too. You know, maybe that Newcastle defense
- 39:32Speaker 1: that we spoke about two or three or four weeks
- 39:33Speaker 1: ago as being you know, up there with you know,
- 39:36Speaker 1: at least in the same conversation as the Arsenal defense
- 39:38Speaker 1: because there was a whole conversation about Pope versus Ryer
- 39:40Speaker 1: and goal. I don't know if we're having that conversation now.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Newcastle looking a little bit leaky over the last few weeks,
- 39:46Speaker 1: and Thiago exploited that the weekend didn't.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Yeah, of course I bought him Pope just as this
- 39:49Speaker 2: started happening, right We've got of course, Yeah, what can
- 39:54Speaker 2: you say about Newcastle? There's something not quite right there
- 39:56Speaker 2: at the moment. You know, Joe Linton went off and
- 40:00Speaker 2: Dan Byrne got sent off and then Pope goes off injured,
- 40:02Speaker 2: so you can always put a bit of a caveat
- 40:05Speaker 2: around it. But yeah, I thought they were they were
- 40:07Speaker 2: really poor. I'd rather talk about Thiago Solut to be honest,
- 40:09Speaker 2: because I thought, you know, eight goals in eleven games
- 40:13Speaker 2: for a striker who missed so much of last season
- 40:15Speaker 2: to injury, so much change at Brentford's. He takes great penalties,
- 40:19Speaker 2: but he can also score from open.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Play as well.
- 40:22Speaker 2: He's he looks, he looks like a hell of a
- 40:25Speaker 2: player and I generally think, if you're thinking of transfers
- 40:28Speaker 2: this week, I'm really annoying myself for not going this week,
- 40:30Speaker 2: I like you, I've got the money to get him,
- 40:32Speaker 2: but I thought, okay, Newcastle, you know they're quite a
- 40:35Speaker 2: good defense. I've got Pope and goal. I can give
- 40:37Speaker 2: it one more week. Thirteen points is a killer, but
- 40:39Speaker 2: I mean it's Brighton and Burnley next. I expect I
- 40:42Speaker 2: expect him to he could.
- 40:43Speaker 1: He could easy.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Score two or three goals across those two games. I
- 40:46Speaker 2: think this is a really, really good time to be
- 40:48Speaker 2: buying him. I think you want him for that thirty
- 40:50Speaker 2: that gave me thirteen game against Burnley that you want.
- 40:53Speaker 2: You want to be going into that game with Thiago.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I think you want him for that as But outside,
- 40:57Speaker 1: I mean that Brighton away and then Arsenal aways, Spurs
- 40:59Speaker 1: away and fourteen fifteen. Despite what we've just said about
- 41:01Speaker 1: Spurs at home, that's pretty pretty tough looking away games.
- 41:05Speaker 1: That was when I was thinking about Thiago this week.
- 41:07Speaker 1: That was one of the things that I just looked
- 41:09Speaker 1: ahead and went, well, maybe I just don't because those
- 41:12Speaker 1: away fixtures look difficult. But I don't think that should
- 41:14Speaker 1: I wouldn't worry about playing US.
- 41:15Speaker 2: I mean, I know we've I typically choose now on
- 41:17Speaker 2: the spin, but teams are still getting chances against US,
- 41:20Speaker 2: so I wouldn't worry about that. Arsenal was obviously a
- 41:22Speaker 2: different a different level. You could mention in that game
- 41:25Speaker 2: Spurs away, you know, with the home record we were
- 41:28Speaker 2: talking about earlier, wouldn't be too worried about that. Then
- 41:30Speaker 2: it's leads at home. Leads away from home are a
- 41:32Speaker 2: different team to when they play at home. I think
- 41:35Speaker 2: Brighton Burnley, Spurs Leads Wolves. I think that those games
- 41:39Speaker 2: not too bad.
- 41:39Speaker 1: All right, Well, let's do the last couple of games
- 41:41Speaker 1: and not too much time to spend on Forest versus Leads,
- 41:44Speaker 1: although Ditsche getting his first win as Forest Boss suggests
- 41:47Speaker 1: potentially they're moving in the right direction with Gibbs wipe
- 41:50Speaker 1: back on the score sheet. So one for our radars,
- 41:52Speaker 1: I think. But the last game Pallas versus Brighton. You
- 41:54Speaker 1: touched on Brighton a minute ago saying they shouldn't fear
- 41:57Speaker 1: playing US. I thought you did okay in this game,
- 41:59Speaker 1: and another day potentially that the penalties given and you
- 42:02Speaker 1: know the game is a bit different and Palace don't
- 42:04Speaker 1: keep the clean sheet. But you know, listen, I think
- 42:07Speaker 1: going to Palace and getting a point for Brighton is
- 42:10Speaker 1: no mean feat I think that's a pretty good result.
- 42:12Speaker 1: They're unbeaten at home Crystal Palace and they've kept a
- 42:14Speaker 1: clean sheet in five of their eleven Premier League matches,
- 42:17Speaker 1: which is the third best as tied third for the league.
- 42:20Speaker 1: So defensively they're very good, which is why we've all
- 42:22Speaker 1: got them in FPR. Why I've got Gay here, which
- 42:24Speaker 1: you'd shown up. But never mind, what do you make them? Well,
- 42:27Speaker 1: let's do the Brighton performance and then we can talk
- 42:29Speaker 1: a bit more about Palace as well. Well.
- 42:31Speaker 2: You know, in terms of all the games this week,
- 42:32Speaker 2: if you'd ask me which one I thought was least
- 42:34Speaker 2: likely to be Neil Neil, it would have been this one,
- 42:37Speaker 2: and then watching the highlights, the game least likely to
- 42:41Speaker 2: be Neil Neil again would have been that game because
- 42:43Speaker 2: there were so many charm particularly early. It was the
- 42:45Speaker 2: frantic stuff in the first you know, fifteen minutes or so.
- 42:48Speaker 2: But you know, back to back clean sheets for the
- 42:49Speaker 2: first time since February. I didn't think we had that
- 42:52Speaker 2: in us from what I've seen from us this this season.
- 42:54Speaker 2: It's astic, you've got to but but we had, we
- 43:01Speaker 2: had some decent chances. Gober has played really well, you know,
- 43:04Speaker 2: if you are thinking of bringing him in, do be
- 43:06Speaker 2: wary that. I think after the intestrial break Matoma should
- 43:08Speaker 2: be back and he's been playing so left wings, so
- 43:10Speaker 2: there's a bit of a bit worry about that. Caddiol Glue,
- 43:12Speaker 2: I think he's been playing really well at left back.
- 43:14Speaker 2: I just don't think i'd be investing in the Brian defense.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Minte is still the one for me. Still looks so
- 43:19Speaker 2: dangerous on some set pieces as well, so he's the
- 43:23Speaker 2: one to go for. But yeah, Palace, I mean I
- 43:24Speaker 2: brought in two Palace players against my beloved Brighton. They're
- 43:27Speaker 2: both blanked. I did get the clean sheet from Maqui,
- 43:30Speaker 2: which I was happy with. They'll be fine, you know,
- 43:32Speaker 2: Sar had put it on a plate. I think for
- 43:35Speaker 2: Kamada at one point, who over Mateta had a good chance.
- 43:39Speaker 2: They'll They'll be absolutely fine. So don't worry to Wolf, Yes,
- 43:42Speaker 2: I said, yeah, sorry, I'm sorry, but they are the team.
- 43:44Speaker 1: They are no panic from a Palace perspective. I will
- 43:47Speaker 1: just give a quick shout out to you mentioned him.
- 43:48Speaker 1: They're thirty, caddiog Glue, he's four point four in FPL. Yeah.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I looked at it and I just thought, well, maybe
- 43:53Speaker 1: his minutes, but no, he started seven matches in a row. Now,
- 43:56Speaker 1: for you guys at the back and the often, I
- 43:58Speaker 1: know it's kind of inverts into midfield bit. And I
- 44:01Speaker 1: noticed just that he took three of the eight corners, right,
- 44:03Speaker 1: so he's only zero point two percent owned up. You know,
- 44:06Speaker 1: I don't think I'm rushing there as you suggest with that.
- 44:08Speaker 1: You know, the back to back clean sheets are good,
- 44:10Speaker 1: but I'll take your lead on on the fact that
- 44:12Speaker 1: that's a bit of an anomaly potentially for Brighton. So
- 44:14Speaker 1: I don't think I'm going to rush to Catty old glue,
- 44:16Speaker 1: but there's just something there to keep an eye and
- 44:17Speaker 1: I think for us in f PL.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Don't forget his goal last season against I remember that Gal.
- 44:23Speaker 1: What a sensational thing like that was. Yeah, so so good.
- 44:25Speaker 1: So I don't rush. I'm not rushing there, but it's
- 44:27Speaker 1: just one that caught my eye over the weekend. Let's
- 44:28Speaker 1: say I'm from a palace perspective. Yeah no, yeah, no
- 44:32Speaker 1: trouble there. I'm just hoping that Gay he can return
- 44:34Speaker 1: from that injury, can get a clean bill of health
- 44:36Speaker 1: after the intersatual break. That would be nice.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Well, speaking of the instual break. We are heading into
- 44:41Speaker 2: another one. I think it's the last one till March.
- 44:43Speaker 2: So yeah, so we can finally focus on f PL
- 44:46Speaker 2: after this. But as it is the international break, make
- 44:49Speaker 2: sure you can keep those needs from jerking. We're going
- 44:51Speaker 2: to hold those transfers usual advice. I know you don't
- 44:54Speaker 2: know what's going to happen over the break. Let's all
- 44:56Speaker 2: hope our players come for it, a clean bill of
- 44:58Speaker 2: health for Gay we twelve.
- 44:59Speaker 1: And Kelly Jewels and Sam. We'll be back on Thursday
- 45:01Speaker 1: to give a round up of the season so far
- 45:03Speaker 1: and I look ahead to their plans for FPL players
- 45:06Speaker 1: to get in and out ahead of the African combinations.
- 45:09Speaker 2: If you haven't already done so, don't forget to join
- 45:11Speaker 2: the FPO Pod Mini League. The code is x y
- 45:14Speaker 2: six x p l Lee. It has been a pleasure
- 45:18Speaker 2: as always, enjoyed the intestraal break. And I'll see you
- 45:21Speaker 2: on the other side.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good to see you as I see you then,
