- 1:40Speaker 3: we close out the show. As we get into the
- 1:42Speaker 3: final hours, final days of the twenty twenty five legislative session,
- 1:46Speaker 3: things gabble out at midnight on Saturday night slash Sunday morning,
- 1:51Speaker 3: and we'll talk to Meadows and Wilson about that to
- 1:54Speaker 3: see what's going on there. Interesting day yesterday at the legislature.
- 1:58Speaker 3: But I want to welcome to the show now to
- 1:59Speaker 3: the Air Construction Studios this morning, former Charleson Mayor Danny Jones,
- 2:03Speaker 3: how are you, my friend?
- 2:04Speaker 5: I'm fine, thank you, and I want to compliment you
- 2:07Speaker 5: and the company on these beautiful studios. Most people that
- 2:10Speaker 5: are listening to us will never see them. But it's
- 2:14Speaker 5: just it's just really, really first class. I feel like
- 2:17Speaker 5: I'm sitting in a big city somewhere.
- 2:19Speaker 3: It is. It's uh. They did well. They did well.
- 2:22Speaker 3: We did real well, and we are going to start
- 2:24Speaker 3: to introduce more camera stuff. So I still don't know
- 2:26Speaker 3: what the status of this show is. Originally they were
- 2:29Speaker 3: going to put it on camera, then they said they
- 2:30Speaker 3: weren't going to put it on camera. I do know
- 2:32Speaker 3: that our show in the afternoon, Metro News, midday, at
- 2:36Speaker 3: least the last hour will be on camera, Hotline, Morning News,
- 2:40Speaker 3: It's all gonna be in so people will get to see.
- 2:41Speaker 5: So some point, if you all have cameras here, that means, uh,
- 2:46Speaker 5: I might be on TV. Yeah.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Yeah, because you've never been on TV before. You're kind
- 2:52Speaker 3: of shy, kind of shadowy. How you doing, man, you're
- 2:54Speaker 3: looking well? Well, get the beard grown out a little
- 2:57Speaker 3: bit there this morning.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Well you gotta remember, now, I had a beard in
- 3:00Speaker 5: the seventies and eighties. I had one for eight years
- 3:02Speaker 5: and the only reason I shaved it was to run
- 3:04Speaker 5: for sheriff. And now beards are really in fashion, which
- 3:10Speaker 5: it's okay with me.
- 3:11Speaker 3: There was a time with police officers when they had
- 3:14Speaker 3: to be completely clean, shaven, no tattoos, no visible tattoos,
- 3:18Speaker 3: and the magle. I'd say, now, and I'm not for it,
- 3:22Speaker 3: there against it. I'm just saying it just changed. Now
- 3:25Speaker 3: there's probably more police officers that have tattoos and beards
- 3:29Speaker 3: than don't.
- 3:30Speaker 5: If I was still there, there wouldn't be visible tattoos.
- 3:32Speaker 5: No visible tattoos, but beards are okay as long as
- 3:35Speaker 5: they're fairly close to your face. In seventy seventy one,
- 3:40Speaker 5: when I was in the Marine Corps, they got a
- 3:43Speaker 5: new commandant of the Navy. The guy in charge of
- 3:47Speaker 5: the Navy was a guy named Elmo Zumwalt, and zoom
- 3:51Speaker 5: Walt was the one that says, these restrictions are pettying
- 3:54Speaker 5: and he let them start growing beards and doing all
- 3:56Speaker 5: kinds of stuff and it didn't last long.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Well, there were some businesses. I know. There was a
- 4:03Speaker 3: and I won't mention the name. There's a particular car
- 4:05Speaker 3: dealership that I used to do when I was in Logan.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I did a lot of live broadcasts from and they
- 4:10Speaker 3: had a specific policy, and this was only fifteen twenty
- 4:14Speaker 3: years ago, that none of their staff could have visible tattoos,
- 4:18Speaker 3: and that went for the men or the women. And
- 4:20Speaker 3: so you get these guys and had these sleeve tattoos,
- 4:22Speaker 3: and some women that had them had to keep them
- 4:24Speaker 3: completely covered.
- 4:26Speaker 5: Yeah, and you know, I don't know if people that
- 4:29Speaker 5: I don't have any tattoos, and I don't know if
- 4:32Speaker 5: people that do that, you know, when they're very young,
- 4:37Speaker 5: regret regret it later. Yeah, And when I was on Okinawa,
- 4:42Speaker 5: I almost did it. I was gonna, you know, like
- 4:45Speaker 5: the Marine Corps bulldog or something, but I didn't, and
- 4:49Speaker 5: I'm glad it is what stopped you. I sobered up.
- 4:54Speaker 3: That's a good answer. I have never even considered it
- 4:57Speaker 3: because I'm not a big fan of needles Danny, and
- 5:00Speaker 3: I think I'd be the guy that had like the
- 5:02Speaker 3: beginnings of a tattoo but got up after five minutes
- 5:04Speaker 3: and said I'm out. And so that's that's that's what
- 5:07Speaker 3: I would do. So what keeps you busy these days?
- 5:10Speaker 3: I mean, you know, you you don't have the restaurant anymore,
- 5:13Speaker 3: you close. We were telling stories upstairs about the good
- 5:15Speaker 3: old days of the restaurant.
- 5:16Speaker 6: But what is it?
- 5:17Speaker 3: It keeps Danny Jones busy these days.
- 5:19Speaker 5: I have two sons that kind of keep me melted.
- 5:23Speaker 5: I mean, I think Jarrett's been accepted and maybe going
- 5:27Speaker 5: to v m I next year. And Andrew is a junior,
- 5:32Speaker 5: but he goes to Western State and I don't know why.
- 5:35Speaker 5: I don't know how that works.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's in common for a couple of years.
- 5:38Speaker 5: People can just pick him up.
- 5:40Speaker 3: What's he any idea what he wants to do when
- 5:43Speaker 3: he graduates.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Well, they're both talking about being an engineer, so I don't.
- 5:46Speaker 5: I don't. Jarrett has been talking about it for a
- 5:51Speaker 5: long time, and I think the military might be play
- 5:55Speaker 5: a heavy part in his future.
- 5:57Speaker 3: And now do you feel about that as a veteran?
- 6:00Speaker 3: I like, how do you feel about it?
- 6:01Speaker 7: Oh?
- 6:01Speaker 3: I like, because there's two schools of thought on that, Danny.
- 6:03Speaker 3: There's some of some folks that had served as military
- 6:06Speaker 3: that said, my son or daughter will never serve there.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Then there's others that say, absolutely I want them to
- 6:11Speaker 3: serve there.
- 6:12Speaker 5: You know, I remember in nineteen seventy, in the summer
- 6:16Speaker 5: seventy when I got on the plane up at Canara, airport.
- 6:21Speaker 5: That's when you could walk out on the tarmac. They'd
- 6:23Speaker 5: open the fence. Then you'd walk to the plane and
- 6:25Speaker 5: walk up steps and turn around and wave it everybody.
- 6:29Speaker 5: And I was going overseas and I was going to
- 6:33Speaker 5: be gone a year, and I didn't know why there
- 6:37Speaker 5: was about fifteen people there to see me off, and
- 6:40Speaker 5: I didn't get what Some of them are upset, and
- 6:43Speaker 5: I get it now.
- 6:44Speaker 3: But.
- 6:46Speaker 5: I thought I was invincible, but I didn't know if
- 6:49Speaker 5: I was going to Vietnam or a Kanawa.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Don't most people at that age, especially guys, think they're
- 6:54Speaker 3: invincible at that age.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I didn't the first thing I went to.
- 7:00Speaker 5: So I went to Okinawa for five months. And now
- 7:03Speaker 5: I went to Vietnam for five months. And I came
- 7:05Speaker 5: home a little early, a little too early to get
- 7:07Speaker 5: in early out. So but I liked it overseas. And
- 7:15Speaker 5: the harder you work, the faster the time goes by.
- 7:19Speaker 5: And the in Vietnam, that's all you did was work.
- 7:25Speaker 3: What did you do?
- 7:26Speaker 5: I drove a truck and I was in station at Danang,
- 7:32Speaker 5: and Danang was called rocket city, so when the rockets
- 7:35Speaker 5: were flying, it could get a little weird. But most
- 7:39Speaker 5: of the time the rockets weren't flying, so it was
- 7:41Speaker 5: just a regular duty station. And you worked ten to
- 7:44Speaker 5: twoeur of our shifts, which meant you worked, you went
- 7:48Speaker 5: to sleep. You worked, you went to sleep, and I
- 7:53Speaker 5: I really, I really liked it. And I mean because
- 7:56Speaker 5: it was so casual. By a pack of cigars for
- 7:59Speaker 5: fifteen I mean, come on now, I mean it was uh.
- 8:04Speaker 3: It almost sounds like mash in the way that you
- 8:06Speaker 3: described that was the Korean War, but I mean.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Very similar, uh, except we had huts that were made
- 8:14Speaker 5: of wood and screen windows and uh tin roofs, and
- 8:22Speaker 5: we I remember we had one to three seven people
- 8:25Speaker 5: living in my hoops. And the petitions were made by
- 8:29Speaker 5: foot lockers. I mean not foot lockers, but tall lockers.
- 8:33Speaker 5: Now you make a wall out of those. So that's
- 8:35Speaker 5: what separated us and and all you know, you just
- 8:39Speaker 5: worked hard and then you'd you got the pleasure sometimes
- 8:44Speaker 5: of having duty to uh grab the barrels else under
- 8:50Speaker 5: the uh where people went to the bathroom and you
- 8:54Speaker 5: put a lid on them and you take them out
- 8:56Speaker 5: in the middle of the grass. You know, they're full
- 8:58Speaker 5: of kerosene and everything else serious and you set them
- 9:01Speaker 5: on fire.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Interesting. Interesting, that probably gave you a good experience for politics.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Right, that's what you called burn theesers. Okay, that's what
- 9:13Speaker 5: it's called. Yeah, But Dave Alan showing five any Lie
- 9:16Speaker 5: Bright to you? Parted by Morgan to Morgan if you're
- 9:18Speaker 5: injured hired Morgan to Morgan, America's largest injury law firm.
- 9:20Speaker 3: All right, so I want to ask you, and you
- 9:22Speaker 3: and I talked a little bit earlier. You said that
- 9:24Speaker 3: you haven't really been keeping up a lot with the
- 9:25Speaker 3: legislative session. But you know, there are there are two
- 9:28Speaker 3: camps here, Danny. There are those who think that this
- 9:31Speaker 3: session has been absolutely incredible and those who think, and
- 9:35Speaker 3: surprisingly many of them are Republicans, that this session hasn't
- 9:40Speaker 3: accomplished much.
- 9:42Speaker 5: I don't think they have enough to do up there.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Explain that they don't have enough to do well, I
- 9:47Speaker 5: mean the kind of bills that I hear through this
- 9:51Speaker 5: radio station. Quite frankly, they're all into the social settings
- 9:56Speaker 5: and stuff. That means you don't have enough to do.
- 9:58Speaker 5: When I went up there, I don't know for and
- 10:02Speaker 5: Chris says one thing, the governor says another thing.
- 10:05Speaker 3: But there's a divide between the Governor. I talked to
- 10:07Speaker 3: a state senator who shall remain nameless last night. He
- 10:11Speaker 3: didn't have very very complimentary things to say about governor.
- 10:15Speaker 3: About Governor Morcy, that just one guy's opinion.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Or well, from where I'm sitting, he seems like he's
- 10:20Speaker 5: doing okay, Well.
- 10:21Speaker 3: He's actually there.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Yeah, And I don't know if he goes down and
- 10:26Speaker 5: hangs out with him or if he ever goes to
- 10:29Speaker 5: the well. I mean if I was, if I had
- 10:32Speaker 5: that job, I'd be down at the well a lot.
- 10:35Speaker 5: You know, Joe.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Didjet and Earlry did it too, and.
- 10:41Speaker 5: That's what I do. Try to keep contact with him.
- 10:44Speaker 5: But we don't have a crisis, the governor hold on.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Some people would push back on that and say that
- 10:51Speaker 3: we don't have a crisis, especially when it comes to
- 10:53Speaker 3: the kids in our state with foster care things of
- 10:55Speaker 3: that nature. I mean, some people would probably push back
- 10:57Speaker 3: in that little.
- 10:58Speaker 5: Sure, Okay, you're right. Is there solution on the table?
- 11:01Speaker 3: Uh, there's a lot of talk, but I don't know
- 11:03Speaker 3: whether there's a lot of solutions, to be honest with you.
- 11:04Speaker 5: So as a diversionary attactor, some people are going over here, Well,
- 11:09Speaker 5: let's pick on the gauge or something like that. I mean,
- 11:11Speaker 5: that's not did I say something wrong? No, no, but
- 11:17Speaker 5: or let's do something social, let's uh. I've been getting
- 11:20Speaker 5: these texts from people that, uh, they're trying.
- 11:25Speaker 8: To get rid of the day after Phil Yeah, because
- 11:30Speaker 8: there are you know, West Virginia has passed a just
- 11:34Speaker 8: about it as one of one of the more restrictive
- 11:36Speaker 8: laws on abortion, and that was passed a couple of
- 11:39Speaker 8: years ago, and so now.
- 11:42Speaker 3: There are I don't know that it got a whole
- 11:44Speaker 3: lot of traction, to be honest with you, but there
- 11:46Speaker 3: were some things that they were trying to do, I think, uh,
- 11:49Speaker 3: to to try to keep people from trying to to
- 11:52Speaker 3: to order to be able to order those But the
- 11:55Speaker 3: the biggest thing that I think, uh, and I'm gonna
- 11:58Speaker 3: get into this maybe a little bit later on the
- 11:59Speaker 3: ship has to do with vaccines, you know, and West
- 12:04Speaker 3: Virginia has has had one of the better records on
- 12:09Speaker 3: vaccines and it's one of the few things, in my opinion,
- 12:13Speaker 3: that West Virginia does. We don't get a lot of
- 12:16Speaker 3: national press for positive things, okay, but we have We've
- 12:20Speaker 3: got a pretty darn good record of vaccinating our kids.
- 12:23Speaker 3: And it's back again. And I've got some notes here
- 12:25Speaker 3: on Yeah, I mean it's back, it's back again. Let
- 12:29Speaker 3: me quickly and let me just why you're doing that. Yeah,
- 12:34Speaker 3: RFK Jr. And people are picking on him, but I
- 12:39Speaker 3: remember ten years ago and eleven twelve years ago when
- 12:43Speaker 3: he was on iMOS a lot he was, and he
- 12:46Speaker 3: was against every vaccine you ever heard of. Yeah, and
- 12:48Speaker 3: he indeed Rymas were always, oh, it causes autism, you
- 12:53Speaker 3: should nobody should take any vaccines. And I'm surprised MSNBC
- 12:58Speaker 3: or somebody didn't look up some of those old shows
- 13:02Speaker 3: because he's changed a little bit. I mean he even
- 13:04Speaker 3: talked about because we had this sitution and we got
- 13:06Speaker 3: a good to break, but we had this situation in
- 13:07Speaker 3: Texas where there's been a measle outbreak and there's actually
- 13:11Speaker 3: been I think there's been two children that have died,
- 13:14Speaker 3: and he's come out and said in that situation that
- 13:19Speaker 3: they should be vaccinated. But what I think is interesting
- 13:21Speaker 3: about RFK becoming the darling of the Republican Party. Do
- 13:25Speaker 3: people forget where he was twenty years ago on coal mining.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I mean, he was as hard as far left as
- 13:33Speaker 3: you can get when it came to things like coal mine,
- 13:36Speaker 3: his debate with.
- 13:36Speaker 5: Don up there at the Don blankenships up there, you see, Yeah.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I remember we're talking to former Charleston Mayor Danny Jones.

- 16:20Speaker 3: Yeah. I just had a conversation with Jill of the
- 16:23Speaker 3: Dirty Birds not long ago, and they are playing well.
- 16:26Speaker 3: The mayor current Mary Amy Goodman, was on the show
- 16:28Speaker 3: yesterday and they are playing planning some things this summer
- 16:32Speaker 3: over at the ballpark to kind of celebrate their their
- 16:34Speaker 3: their twenty years. Big story came out of the city
- 16:37Speaker 3: council meeting last night. They're putting some more netting up
- 16:39Speaker 3: there to keep people from getting hit with baseballs, because
- 16:42Speaker 3: that can be a problem there. I'm going to laugh
- 16:44Speaker 3: about it, but I mean, no.
- 16:45Speaker 5: No, no, it was real bad. When we first opened.
- 16:47Speaker 3: I saw a I was changed. I was attending a
- 16:51Speaker 3: high school baseball state tournament game a couple of years ago,
- 16:53Speaker 3: and there was a lady. Sadly she wasn't killed, but
- 16:57Speaker 3: she had she was recovering from heart surgery, and she
- 17:01Speaker 3: got nailed right in the chest with a baseball, with
- 17:04Speaker 3: a foul ball, so she you know, thankfully it was okay.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Now about the vaccines, Brad, that's got the story, post
- 17:10Speaker 3: to wv metro news dot com. A majority of the
- 17:13Speaker 3: Senate Health Committee voted yesterday to insert the provisions for
- 17:17Speaker 3: vaccine exemptions into a different piece of legislation. Now, the
- 17:20Speaker 3: vaccination exemption bill was voted down this past month. It's
- 17:24Speaker 3: all complicated, and I'm not a molecular biologist, but Brad
- 17:28Speaker 3: does a good job of trying to go all markets
- 17:30Speaker 3: wellby uh and explaining it. This morning he did. We
- 17:33Speaker 3: did' get one of the best quotes of the session,
- 17:35Speaker 3: that coming from Marion County Democratic Senator Joey Garcia, who said,
- 17:38Speaker 3: there's a Saint Danny possums run at midnight, and we're
- 17:42Speaker 3: and we're getting to midnight, the midnight hour, the legislative session. Course,
- 17:47Speaker 3: Now the.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Joey was for it.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Uh, well, no, he's just saying I mean no, no,
- 17:51Speaker 3: he's not. No, he's not, he's not.
- 17:52Speaker 5: He's awesome running night. That was clot c Yeah, yeah,
- 17:56Speaker 5: that I thought that was some Yeah, Mark, I'm gonna
- 18:00Speaker 5: tell you that. All right.
- 18:02Speaker 3: So that's what that's where we are there. So let
- 18:04Speaker 3: me ask you about h the state of the Democratic
- 18:08Speaker 3: Party in in in the nation as a whole. I
- 18:11Speaker 3: saw Gavin Newsom, Governor Gaven Newsom California, being interviewed on
- 18:15Speaker 3: Bill Maher and I'm a big and people know and
- 18:20Speaker 3: you know, we can talk about how much crap that
- 18:23Speaker 3: that he's getting now because he went down and had
- 18:25Speaker 3: had dinner with the President. I'll get into that at
- 18:30Speaker 3: some other point later. But an interviewing Gavin Newsom, uh,
- 18:33Speaker 3: you know, Bill Maher, I think brought up some really
- 18:35Speaker 3: really good questions for him. It's like, you folks don't
- 18:39Speaker 3: realize why you lost in the first place, And a
- 18:42Speaker 3: lot of it has to do with the extremes. Now
- 18:45Speaker 3: the same could be said for the Republicans that many Republicans,
- 18:48Speaker 3: especially in West Virginia, have gone full on right. Is
- 18:51Speaker 3: there any hope, in your opinion, Danny, for the Democrats
- 18:55Speaker 3: to ever get a return to the center, because I
- 18:58Speaker 3: don't think Gavin Newsom has a chance of being like
- 19:00Speaker 3: the president simply because he's from California.
- 19:03Speaker 5: No, he's got a chance. But are you talking about
- 19:05Speaker 5: in West Virginia, West Virginia Nation. Not in my lifetime
- 19:09Speaker 5: in West Virginia. But they could get their gift is Trump,
- 19:15Speaker 5: because if he does poorly, they'll be back in the saddle.
- 19:19Speaker 3: And but it's going to take a whole lot of people, Danny,
- 19:22Speaker 3: to have to want to turn against what Donald Trump
- 19:26Speaker 3: has gone.
- 19:27Speaker 5: You keep watching the stock market go down.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Let me speak to just West Virginia.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Okay.
- 19:33Speaker 3: I don't see anything that Donald Trump does eroding his
- 19:37Speaker 3: base in West Virginia. I'd agree with that, Okay, But
- 19:41Speaker 3: on the national level, you think that's a possibility. It'll
- 19:44Speaker 3: be interesting to see what happens in the midterms.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Yeah, that's going to be the test and to see
- 19:50Speaker 5: if and you know, we've got to find out about
- 19:53Speaker 5: this tariff. Well, where are we finally going to land
- 19:56Speaker 5: on all this? I mean the stock market going to
- 19:58Speaker 5: be down to twenty five thousand? You don't know. I
- 20:00Speaker 5: mean I've lost a lot of money.
- 20:02Speaker 3: David as has everybody one hundreds of thousands of dollars.
- 20:06Speaker 5: And even though most of my money's gone, I'm still losing.
- 20:10Speaker 5: And I'm not saying any of it it's a bad idea.
- 20:16Speaker 5: I don't know what he knows.
- 20:18Speaker 3: But why is it that nearly every economist, regardless of
- 20:21Speaker 3: their political party, political persuasion, whatever, why is it that
- 20:25Speaker 3: nearly every economist is coming out saying this is a
- 20:29Speaker 3: bad idea what he's doing? Because I mean, can they
- 20:31Speaker 3: all be wrong?
- 20:32Speaker 9: Know?
- 20:33Speaker 5: The in eighteen oh five when Jefferson was sworn in,
- 20:38Speaker 5: all he used terriffs because that's all they had, and
- 20:41Speaker 5: tariff funded the federal government. Then he had McKinley, he
- 20:44Speaker 5: used tariffs. But during the depression, I think it's about
- 20:49Speaker 5: nineteen thirty, they passed something called smooth Holly and that
- 20:52Speaker 5: was terriff and it was a digestion. So I I
- 20:59Speaker 5: like to to see us take state or company by
- 21:05Speaker 5: company or business by business. Uh. This thing about blanking
- 21:11Speaker 5: the whole world with tariffs. Seemed a little overdone to me.
- 21:15Speaker 5: And why would we pick a fight with Canada?
- 21:17Speaker 3: Yeah, what have they ever done to us?
- 21:21Speaker 5: I mean, and maybe somebody can call in tell me.
- 21:23Speaker 5: I'll listen.
- 21:25Speaker 6: I mean, do.
- 21:27Speaker 5: They do they put tariffs on our milk? I heard
- 21:32Speaker 5: they did.
- 21:33Speaker 3: So I'm not sure. I'm not sure.
- 21:34Speaker 5: So I don't know. I mean, but I'm not I'm
- 21:37Speaker 5: not a fan of these terraffs yet I could be
- 21:40Speaker 5: convinced now as far as those is concerned, they're going
- 21:45Speaker 5: from the bottom up. I think they ought to come
- 21:48Speaker 5: from the top down. Okay, that I think the President
- 21:52Speaker 5: auto he's never made an address to the nation that
- 21:56Speaker 5: I can remember, and he ought to make an address
- 21:58Speaker 5: to the nation and have some arts behind him and
- 22:02Speaker 5: talk about David during your fifties, there's not going to
- 22:06Speaker 5: be so security for you.
- 22:07Speaker 3: No, I don't anticipate so such.
- 22:09Speaker 5: I mean, you'll have some in medicare, and we should
- 22:14Speaker 5: hit that. And what you do is you put together
- 22:17Speaker 5: Presidential Commission with some really good people on it. People Democrats,
- 22:23Speaker 5: but people like well, I don't know, put Jamie Diamond
- 22:28Speaker 5: on it. If Buffett, if he'd serve Larry Summers, Steven Rattner,
- 22:37Speaker 5: Obama's Carr guy. He's really smart, and just have five
- 22:41Speaker 5: or six people on there and say, tell us what
- 22:45Speaker 5: we're dealing with here, and if you can give us
- 22:49Speaker 5: a solution or give us give us solutions a variety
- 22:52Speaker 5: of solutions to choose from.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Talk to former Charleston mayor Danny Jones a Dave violance
- 22:56Speaker 3: showing five any lie broad to you right by husbands pizza,
- 22:59Speaker 3: get a large etch Pepperoni pizza and a large toss
- 23:01Speaker 3: solid twenty one ninety nine d D pick up or
- 23:04Speaker 3: get delivered by going to Hustin's Pizza dot Com. Text says,
- 23:06Speaker 3: give me a break with the Democrats went to left.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Republicans want a sex abuser who pushes authoritarianism. He pardoned
- 23:13Speaker 3: criminals who assaulted police and praises political violence. This is
- 23:17Speaker 3: the extreme This country and state suck.
- 23:20Speaker 5: I think that sexual charge would be thrown out, as
- 23:23Speaker 5: I do think also the one against this company, and
- 23:28Speaker 5: I think all that stuff's going to be thrown out
- 23:30Speaker 5: by the time he gets all the way up there Texas.
- 23:33Speaker 11: Dave.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Great to hear Danny Jones on the program this morning.
- 23:35Speaker 3: The man with common sense and a lot of historical information,
- 23:38Speaker 3: hoping you have him back again soon. Absolutely, absolutely, and
- 23:41Speaker 3: then he's always welcome here. Tex says, just showing up
- 23:46Speaker 3: as governor is a pretty low bar good thing. Morsey Shorten,
- 23:50Speaker 3: that's a texture. I decid. Didn't say that that was
- 23:52Speaker 3: a texture. Yeah, that said so what do you think
- 23:54Speaker 3: about going back to RFK for a moment. You know,
- 23:56Speaker 3: he's in Martinsburg a couple of Fridays ago and makes
- 23:59Speaker 3: fun of that, makes fun of the governor. Governor says
- 24:01Speaker 3: it was all in good fun. We had the governor
- 24:03Speaker 3: on the Metro News midday show. He said he wasn't
- 24:05Speaker 3: offended in the least. And as I said, you don't
- 24:08Speaker 3: know what their discussions were like backstage. You know, Kennedy
- 24:13Speaker 3: could have very well. So it was hoppy. Hobby did
- 24:15Speaker 3: a big a commentary about that. So, I mean, he
- 24:19Speaker 3: could have very easily have said, look, I'm going to
- 24:21Speaker 3: bring this up. Are you okay with it? And Patrick
- 24:24Speaker 3: Morris the governor Morrise, he could have said, yes, you
- 24:25Speaker 3: don't know, but you say you were offended by it.
- 24:27Speaker 5: I was absolutely offended by it. At the person's size,
- 24:31Speaker 5: it's not something their height. There's not something anything you
- 24:34Speaker 5: can do about it.
- 24:34Speaker 3: But I think he's talking more about his weight than
- 24:36Speaker 3: his height. Well, and again I'm not I'm not throwing stones.
- 24:39Speaker 3: I got a little too much around the middle of myself.
- 24:41Speaker 5: So you know, I've lost over forty pounds. But yeah, okay, Patrick,
- 24:47Speaker 5: maybe don't do it in front of people. You know,
- 24:51Speaker 5: I don't know that's that's me. But Patrick, I'll to
- 24:54Speaker 5: lose some weight then. Quite frankly, the governor, just for
- 24:58Speaker 5: his own health.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Tex says, tell Danny he did not lose hundreds of
- 25:03Speaker 3: thousands of dollars. It was just numbers on paper, not
- 25:05Speaker 3: a tangible item. Stock market up fourteen hundred right now.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Fair enough, that's true. But if it doesn't go up
- 25:12Speaker 5: and I have to take money out of there to
- 25:14Speaker 5: put my son through VMI, I'm gonna have to sell
- 25:17Speaker 5: some stock at a lower price as it would have been,
- 25:20Speaker 5: so that would be a paper that wouldn't be more
- 25:23Speaker 5: in a paper loss and be a cash loss. I
- 25:25Speaker 5: hope it doesn't come to that. I hope the president's
- 25:28Speaker 5: right about this. But as far as see, Doze is
- 25:34Speaker 5: not doing anything. They gave a real good interview to
- 25:38Speaker 5: Brett Baer, and they had some of their people in there.
- 25:41Speaker 5: These are some really sharp people. But then the Fox
- 25:44Speaker 5: News isn't the onlyessation on the on the channel. I
- 25:47Speaker 5: mean they really ought to don't invite Stephanopolis, but you
- 25:52Speaker 5: couldn't invite some other journalists in there to make a presentation.
- 25:58Speaker 3: What do you think of is Musk's influence on the
- 26:02Speaker 3: White House so far? With his doge thing.
- 26:05Speaker 5: I think it's okay with me, warm smart guys in
- 26:08Speaker 5: the world. I don't have any problem with it. He's
- 26:11Speaker 5: just he's working for the federal government. He's just not
- 26:14Speaker 5: getting paid.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Texas, Dave love hearing Danny, but one thing he said,
- 26:19Speaker 3: if he was strictly referring to the stock market, he
- 26:21Speaker 3: has tons of losses. Well, you don't lose unless you sell.
- 26:24Speaker 5: I understand that you're You're right so as you were,
- 26:30Speaker 5: but is scaring people and it's scaring me.
- 26:37Speaker 3: So Texas, Dave, what do you what to both you
- 26:40Speaker 3: and Danny? Think about the the extinction of the dire
- 26:43Speaker 3: wolf that died out nearly thirteen thousand years ago, and
- 26:47Speaker 3: to discover that the CIA has invested almost two hundred
- 26:50Speaker 3: million dollars of taxpayer dollars to colossal Bioscience as a
- 26:54Speaker 3: company aiming to bring back the wooly mammoth and other
- 26:57Speaker 3: extinct species to a cia of Philliate. He had a
- 27:00Speaker 3: venture capital firm called q Tel with the goal of
- 27:02Speaker 3: developing genetic engineering technologies. The wille mammoth work started in
- 27:06Speaker 3: twenty twenty two. Now this has happened. To stop trying to
- 27:08Speaker 3: be God. Okay, that's a new one to me. Okay,
- 27:12Speaker 3: Tex says, leave it to Danny to act as an
- 27:14Speaker 3: apologist for a sex abuser and ignore the political violence
- 27:17Speaker 3: in his party. Yes, I know he pretends to be
- 27:19Speaker 3: an independent, but Danny's a Republican who also fancies petty
- 27:22Speaker 3: grievances and political threats. Do you fancy, sir, petty griemances
- 27:26Speaker 3: and political threats?
- 27:27Speaker 5: No, I'm not a Republican and I haven't voted for
- 27:29Speaker 5: a Republican for president since Mitt Romney, and I've never
- 27:33Speaker 5: voted for a Democrat for president. So if you want
- 27:36Speaker 5: me to vote for a Democrat for president, nominate Governor
- 27:38Speaker 5: Josh Shapiro. I'll vote for him.
- 27:41Speaker 3: What do you think I'm going to ask you about
- 27:43Speaker 3: Shapiro and John Fetterman either one. What do you think
- 27:45Speaker 3: about John Fetterman, Well, I.
- 27:46Speaker 5: Think he's interesting and he's a pleasant distraction.
- 27:50Speaker 3: He's entertaining if nothing else, he's a pleasant distraction.
- 27:53Speaker 5: And he throws he can't you know, a guy has trouble.
- 27:56Speaker 5: He can't hear and you have to ask him stuff
- 27:59Speaker 5: and he is to read off your question.
- 28:01Speaker 6: I like you.
- 28:02Speaker 5: I mean, I think he's a pleasant distraction to the
- 28:04Speaker 5: whole political scene. But Jos Shapiro is a very serious man.
- 28:09Speaker 5: I think he'd be a fine president. And he's a Democrat.
- 28:12Speaker 5: And I've never voted for one, not for president, voted
- 28:14Speaker 5: for a lot of local ones.
- 28:16Speaker 3: I wanted to ask you two about it, and I
- 28:19Speaker 3: kind of referenced this earlier. You know, we have gotten
- 28:21Speaker 3: to this place in the country where and people on
- 28:24Speaker 3: the local show for me talking about this a lot
- 28:26Speaker 3: where we're not supposed to engage with the quote unquote
- 28:31Speaker 3: other side. We can't sit down with them, we can't
- 28:33Speaker 3: talk with him. And Bill Maher, who I mentioned earlier.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Bill Maher was off the show this past week. But
- 28:39Speaker 3: he's taken all kinds of crap because he went down
- 28:41Speaker 3: to mar Alago and was supposed to have had dinner
- 28:43Speaker 3: with Trump. Now he'll be back on this week. I'm
- 28:45Speaker 3: sure he'll want to talk about it. And the left,
- 28:47Speaker 3: the far left of which Bill Maher was a part
- 28:51Speaker 3: of for years, but he's kind of stood up against them, saying,
- 28:56Speaker 3: you people are insane a lot of these things. And
- 29:00Speaker 3: but if we gotten to the point, Danny, that we
- 29:02Speaker 3: can't simply sit down and break bread with the other side,
- 29:04Speaker 3: that you can't play. I mean, I caught all kinds
- 29:08Speaker 3: of grief on the show for having Don Blankenship on
- 29:10Speaker 3: the show. Don Blankenship is one of the most interesting
- 29:14Speaker 3: people I have ever. He's been on the show three
- 29:16Speaker 3: or four times. And every time he's on, I get
- 29:18Speaker 3: somebody that texts or calls out front or whatever and says,
- 29:21Speaker 3: I'm never going to listen. I can't believe you platform him.
- 29:24Speaker 3: There's a thing in this country, Danny called free speech.
- 29:26Speaker 5: Ye man, he's a friend of mine, a friend of yours.
- 29:29Speaker 5: I like the guy.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Doesn't mean I agree with him on everything, but he.
- 29:33Speaker 5: Don't don't agree with me on everything.
- 29:35Speaker 3: But we've gotten to this point where we can't do
- 29:37Speaker 3: this anymore. We cannot. You are seen as a sellout.
- 29:41Speaker 3: If Bill Maher goes and has dinner with Donald Trump
- 29:44Speaker 3: or I have somebody from the far left or far
- 29:46Speaker 3: right on the show or whatever, and we're not blood enemies. Man,
- 29:51Speaker 3: I mean, where did we get to this point?
- 29:53Speaker 5: A little time I spent the legislature. That was part
- 29:56Speaker 5: of the fun of it. You know, you find yourself
- 29:58Speaker 5: a Democrat because there are only twenty of us, and
- 30:00Speaker 5: you can only get two names on a bill, and
- 30:02Speaker 5: they wouldn't pass a bill with just one Republican name
- 30:05Speaker 5: or two Republican names. John Overington couldn't get his name
- 30:10Speaker 5: on a bill, and so I found myself a Democrat
- 30:14Speaker 5: and put his name on the bill with mine and
- 30:16Speaker 5: I my second year, I got two bills passed, and
- 30:19Speaker 5: since you can only put two people on there, that's
- 30:22Speaker 5: not bad. I couldn't couldn't get any passed the first year.
- 30:25Speaker 5: But you're effective in the amendments stage. But no, I don't.
- 30:28Speaker 5: I don't. I don't believe in it. Well, to answer
- 30:31Speaker 5: your question, yes, we have found that time. I don't
- 30:34Speaker 5: think it's that way up here, though, is it is
- 30:36Speaker 5: it that?
- 30:37Speaker 3: Hey, look I have on the show now. I don't
- 30:39Speaker 3: think it's as bad here because I frequently will have
- 30:41Speaker 3: Republicans and Democrats on this show that that work together,
- 30:45Speaker 3: and the majority of things have to have bipartisan sport,
- 30:48Speaker 3: even with the Republican super majority. And I've had people
- 30:51Speaker 3: as far to the left as Kayla Young and Mike Pushkin,
- 30:53Speaker 3: it as far to the right as as say a
- 30:55Speaker 3: Mike Stewart or whatever, who will come on this show
- 30:57Speaker 3: and say, look, we we work together. We have to
- 30:59Speaker 3: we have to work together.
- 31:01Speaker 5: Pushkin tells me he works with a lot of Republicans.
- 31:04Speaker 3: I mean, and that stuff just doesn't always get the attention.
- 31:06Speaker 3: You're right, Texas now was thirty seven, three hundred year ago.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Nobody has lost anything yet. Text says, believe me, Danny
- 31:15Speaker 3: Elon is getting paid, and he is. It's a conflict
- 31:18Speaker 3: of interest. You can't agree with that.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Not necessarily. What do you mean because of.
- 31:23Speaker 3: SpaceX I'm presuming.
- 31:25Speaker 5: Yeah, Well he's the only one that's got and he
- 31:29Speaker 5: bought those two people down out of out of space
- 31:33Speaker 5: you got. I'm lost. I think he's a good idea.

- 34:38Speaker 3: Seventy countries have already called President Trump and want to
- 34:40Speaker 3: negotiate tariffs being charged for our country. This will take
- 34:44Speaker 3: some time, but is heading in the right direction.
- 34:47Speaker 5: Okay, good enough, Texas.
- 34:50Speaker 3: Why is it Danny providing excuses for the far left
- 34:53Speaker 3: only for sex abusers and criminals in the GOP?
- 34:56Speaker 5: Well, those cases aren't gonna less, folks. I'm just telling
- 35:00Speaker 5: you know, they're going to be thrown out on appeal.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Texas, Bill Maher went to the White House. He gave
- 35:04Speaker 3: millions to Democrats, but was never invited to the White
- 35:07Speaker 3: House until Trump. I thought he went to mar A
- 35:08Speaker 3: lago in the texture maker. Okay, okay, he wouldn't go
- 35:12Speaker 3: to I said that, Okay, I must have. I must have,
- 35:15Speaker 3: you know.
- 35:17Speaker 5: He and I'm trying to think it was Neil Dice,
- 35:21Speaker 5: Neil Tyson, the nastrophysicist. He said, I'd go to the
- 35:26Speaker 5: White House. I'm not going to Morho.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I was wrong about that. Texas. I
- 35:30Speaker 3: loved jousting with my Republican buddy at work. It was fun.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Those days are gone. And I ask why. Yeah, uh, Texas, Dave,
- 35:37Speaker 3: I think you misunderstand what free speech is. Technically, it's
- 35:40Speaker 3: protection from the government punishing someone for what they say
- 35:44Speaker 3: against the government. Yes, you're allowed to say what you
- 35:46Speaker 3: want and have whoever on your show, but there will
- 35:48Speaker 3: be negative feedback and that's okay. Yeah, it doesn't provide,
- 35:51Speaker 3: you know, safety from consequences. I one hundred percent agree
- 35:54Speaker 3: with that.
- 35:55Speaker 6: Texas.
- 35:55Speaker 3: The stock market's getting pumped up over speculation on tariff deals.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Now Trump has pressure to get deals done or the
- 36:02Speaker 3: market will go back down. Not a good negotiating position,
- 36:05Speaker 3: considering other countries can say, okay, no deal. Watch his
- 36:08Speaker 3: presidency flounder.
- 36:10Speaker 5: Yeah, but that hurts them too. I mean, trade helped everybody,
- 36:16Speaker 5: you know. Anyway, anyway, anyway, So I'm watching this thing
- 36:19Speaker 5: on Amazon Prime. I'm gonna recommend to people called The Kings,
- 36:23Speaker 5: and it's about four boxers in the nineteen eighties. Hearns
- 36:29Speaker 5: Suvar Ray, Leonard Marvelous, Marvin Hagler and Roberto Durant and
- 36:37Speaker 5: the whole thesis. But the whole theory behind it is
- 36:39Speaker 5: they were dance partners. They had it's because of each
- 36:43Speaker 5: other that they made the big money.
- 36:45Speaker 3: And that was a golden time for boxing.
- 36:47Speaker 5: Yeah it was. But and Hagler could not get Leonard
- 36:50Speaker 5: to go in the ring, and then he quit. And
- 36:53Speaker 5: I haven't gotten this part yet, but I know why
- 36:55Speaker 5: he went back in the ring. He saw him fight
- 36:57Speaker 5: John the Beast mcgobby. I remember that, and he says,
- 37:01Speaker 5: I could tell he was starting to slide, so he waited.
- 37:05Speaker 5: You know, he was younger than Aglar, so he waited
- 37:07Speaker 5: till he started to slide. Now, during this they featured
- 37:10Speaker 5: Reagan a lot for some reason, and apparently Sugar Ray
- 37:15Speaker 5: and him are friends or were, and they had because
- 37:21Speaker 5: Durans from Panama. They were featuring Omar Torrijos and they
- 37:26Speaker 5: were talking about the Panama Canal and I've talked about
- 37:29Speaker 5: that before, and this divided the conservative community. But Ronald
- 37:35Speaker 5: Reagan had a position, and we're going to hear that position.
- 37:41Speaker 5: Go ahead.
- 37:42Speaker 7: The Panama Canal zone is sovereign United States territory just
- 37:46Speaker 7: as much as Alaska is, as well as the state's
- 37:49Speaker 7: carved from the Louisiana purchase. We bought it, we paid
- 37:52Speaker 7: for it, and General Torrio should be told we're going
- 37:56Speaker 7: to keep it.
- 37:58Speaker 5: Now. Torrios was a gangster. They had an elected governor
- 38:03Speaker 5: over there, elected president over there, and he overthrew it,
- 38:06Speaker 5: and he was basically a dictator. He was a popular dictator,
- 38:11Speaker 5: but he was a dictator. He died in nineteen eighty one,
- 38:15Speaker 5: died prematurely.
- 38:17Speaker 2: But.
- 38:19Speaker 5: He said, oh, by the way, divided the conservative community
- 38:24Speaker 5: because Buckley was all in favor of letting them have it,
- 38:27Speaker 5: and they used to have these debates that didn't have
- 38:29Speaker 5: anybody on it. But Conservatives and Buckley versus Reagan. Pat
- 38:34Speaker 5: Buchanan said, we ought to keep it. I mean, all
- 38:36Speaker 5: these Republicans fighting each other over it. And as I
- 38:40Speaker 5: said on the show once before, because Randolph Cincrendo was
- 38:45Speaker 5: running against Arch, he waited, he passed the first time
- 38:49Speaker 5: they came by him, and then he realized they had
- 38:52Speaker 5: enough vote sixty eight instead of sixty seven, so he
- 38:55Speaker 5: could vote against it. And so he didn't want they
- 38:59Speaker 5: used against him in the election because in this state,
- 39:02Speaker 5: we wanted to keep it right.
- 39:03Speaker 3: So talking to former Charleston mayor Danny Jones, Texas, Dave,
- 39:07Speaker 3: please have Danny back on a regular basis. Enjoying his
- 39:09Speaker 3: views and comments.
- 39:11Speaker 5: Watch the Kings if you like boxing. I love boxing.
- 39:15Speaker 5: I love the individual effort. I like the fact that
- 39:18Speaker 5: so many people came out of poor neighborhoods to become
- 39:20Speaker 5: rich because they were boxers. Chierray Leonard said in DC,
- 39:24Speaker 5: the tourists would come there and we knew they didn't
- 39:27Speaker 5: need all their hamburger so they would throw them away
- 39:30Speaker 5: and Chugier Ray and his friends would be in the
- 39:32Speaker 5: trash can getting what's left to the hamburger.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Jack says, enjoying Danny's commentary, God bless Ronald Reagan. The
- 39:38Speaker 3: greatest presidents in Abraham Lincoln.
- 39:40Speaker 5: I don't know about that, but he was a great leader.
- 39:43Speaker 5: He was a he was a he was a thing
- 39:47Speaker 5: for a lot of fun.
- 39:48Speaker 3: Then, Yeah, and if you go back, and I'm a
- 39:50Speaker 3: big Reagan guy, you go back and you look at
- 39:52Speaker 3: the first term of Reagan. There was a marked difference
- 39:55Speaker 3: between the first term of Reagan and the second. I mean,
- 40:00Speaker 3: I feel and I was a teenager. Then if you
- 40:04Speaker 3: look at Ronald Reagan in let's say nineteen eighty seven
- 40:07Speaker 3: when a ram contra was going on, compared to Ronald
- 40:10Speaker 3: Reagan of eighty one or eighty two, there's a marked difference.
- 40:14Speaker 3: And they talked about Biden with the decline, most people
- 40:19Speaker 3: would think Reagan had that too.
- 40:20Speaker 5: I'll tell you one thing that happened. James Baker, who
- 40:24Speaker 5: was Reagan's chief of staff, traded jobs with Donald Reagan
- 40:28Speaker 5: in the Treasury Department. That was a big mistake, and
- 40:33Speaker 5: so and Reagan had to fire Reagan. And it was
- 40:37Speaker 5: the first lady that fired him. Yeah, he wouldn't take
- 40:40Speaker 5: our phone call. You're gone. So then he put Howard
- 40:43Speaker 5: Baker in there and Howard Baker said, you got to
- 40:46Speaker 5: straighten this or on contra thing out. I mean he wasn't.
- 40:51Speaker 5: He was telling some truth but not all the truth,
- 40:54Speaker 5: and so they got us straight out. And I loved
- 40:58Speaker 5: Howard Baker. Good Man.

- 41:11Speaker 3: before we go to break. I am a person who
- 41:14Speaker 3: does not watch a lot of television. What I do,
- 41:16Speaker 3: it's almost always documentaries because I'm the most exciting individual
- 41:20Speaker 3: that ever lived, I said, tongue in cheek. But I
- 41:23Speaker 3: watch a lot of sports documentaries, political documentary. But one
- 41:26Speaker 3: of the things I love watching is I'm a big
- 41:29Speaker 3: Johnny Carson fan. I mean, I grew up watching Carson,
- 41:32Speaker 3: and I'm a Letterman fan too, But I like Carson,
- 41:34Speaker 3: and one of the local channels, the Antenna or ME
- 41:37Speaker 3: TV or somebody like that shows Carson every night at
- 41:41Speaker 3: ten o'clock. Now, I'm also old, so I go to
- 41:43Speaker 3: bed way before ten o'clock. But I recorded and I
- 41:46Speaker 3: watched back some of the weekend. This past weekend, I
- 41:49Speaker 3: was watching an episode it's I think it's Santana TV.
- 41:55Speaker 5: Do I have it on cable?
- 41:57Speaker 3: I mean, I've got it, I've optimum. I have been unoptimum.
- 42:00Speaker 3: But they show Carson every night at ten o'clock, and
- 42:02Speaker 3: I'll record him, and I don't always watch the whole show,
- 42:04Speaker 3: but I do go back and watch a lot of
- 42:06Speaker 3: the monologues, or maybe some of some of the comedy,
- 42:09Speaker 3: but Mighty Carson, art players and whatever. But last week,
- 42:12Speaker 3: or one of the shows from last week. It was
- 42:14Speaker 3: from nineteen ninety two, and it was a month or
- 42:16Speaker 3: so before Carson hung it up. He had Burt Reyntolds
- 42:19Speaker 3: on the show. Bert was my hero growing up, as
- 42:21Speaker 3: he was to every kid in the nineteen seventies pretty much.
- 42:24Speaker 3: And I was watching the monologue and the biggest battle
- 42:28Speaker 3: that they were, or the biggest controversy at the time,
- 42:31Speaker 3: was over the budget and the House Bank, and of
- 42:34Speaker 3: course they were talking about the ninety two election. Well
- 42:37Speaker 3: this was nineteen ninety two, and they were talking about
- 42:39Speaker 3: the election. And I told my wife, and we were
- 42:43Speaker 3: watching this, I said, imagine, look look at how much
- 42:48Speaker 3: things have changed since that time. Carson's monologue was all
- 42:53Speaker 3: about what we would see today as boring stuff. We
- 42:55Speaker 3: weren't talking about things like January sixth from a couple
- 42:58Speaker 3: of years ago. We weren't talking about Doze. You weren't
- 43:01Speaker 3: talking The biggest disagreements we had were over budgetary things
- 43:05Speaker 3: and things of that nature. How things have changed.
- 43:10Speaker 5: Yeah, Farston was, He was a Democrat, but I think
- 43:15Speaker 5: he was friendly with Reagan. I don't think. I'm not
- 43:19Speaker 5: sure he's a supporter, but I think he was friendly
- 43:21Speaker 5: with him. And Don recles was a Democrat, but he
- 43:25Speaker 5: loved the Reagans and the Bushes. Sinatra too well, Sinatra
- 43:29Speaker 5: is the one that made them all come out when
- 43:31Speaker 5: Reagan got born in they had all that entertainment. Sinatra
- 43:35Speaker 5: put it all together and he pulled every marker, yeah,
- 43:38Speaker 5: to get all those people involved to provide all that
- 43:41Speaker 5: entertainment for that ceremony.

- 47:41Speaker 3: It just seems to me like we've become so everybody
- 47:45Speaker 3: digs their heels in so much for their particular side,

- 47:50Speaker 3: folks that I encounter, not just on this show but
- 47:53Speaker 3: in life, I just want to say, walk outside, read
- 47:56Speaker 3: a book, life, take a walk, you know, don't let

- 48:56Speaker 5: I don't know about him. But Ronald Reagan, of course,
- 48:59Speaker 5: I remember when he was selling borax soap and I
- 49:02Speaker 5: was five years old. But he remember he was governor
- 49:04Speaker 5: of California for years. That's no easy job.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Yeah, so he did a good job Texas. Anyone noticed
- 49:10Speaker 3: how most presidents seemed to age about twenty years during
- 49:12Speaker 3: their terms except Trump. He's handled everything with strife and fight.
- 49:15Speaker 3: He's a businessman, so he's used to the stress and

- 49:40Speaker 3: I want to. I want President Trump to succeed, and
- 49:43Speaker 3: not because and I wanted Barack Obama, and I wanted

- 49:49Speaker 3: to succeed. Because when the when the president succeed, the

- 49:57Speaker 5: I'll tell you some of the driver, your listener. I'll
- 49:59Speaker 5: say that because my time on the show is just

- 50:06Speaker 5: to it and it's really good. And he was really
- 50:10Speaker 5: in bad shape. Yeah, he was out in California, stumbling
