Mount Rainier Fire Closes White River Entrance | Seattle News
Mount Rainier National Park’s White River entrance is temporarily closed due to the rapidly spreading Grand Fire, which has already scorched over 200 acres in the northeast section. The fire has shut down access to Sunrise, White River, and SR 410 until conditions are safe. The park’s existing fire ban — enacted June 26 — remains in effect, prohibiting all open flames in campgrounds and wilderness areas.
