- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth about Sorority Life with
- 0:04Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia Judice, Daisy.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Kent, and Jennifer Kessler.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush.
- 0:16Speaker 2: We are talking about the sicknesses, the dirty diseases that
- 0:20Speaker 2: start to spread through the house, the worst. Yes, all right.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Next we are going to talk to Mollie Hi. Molly, Hi, Hi.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I am almost afraid of what you're bringing to us today.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Hey, we're hearing so many like crazy horrible stories.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Yeah, God, what happened to you, poor Molly?
- 0:41Speaker 4: Yes, so let me tell you. Okay, So my sophomore year,
- 0:46Speaker 4: I was sleeping over at my boyfriend at the Times
- 0:52Speaker 4: frat house, and I one time woke up and I
- 0:56Speaker 4: was like, oh my gosh, this is so weird. I
- 0:58Speaker 4: have like these little spots and I was like itching them,
- 1:01Speaker 4: but I didn't really think anything of it, and then
- 1:04Speaker 4: I would go back to my sorority house and I'd
- 1:06Speaker 4: be fine, and then I remember my friends like pointing
- 1:08Speaker 4: at me and being like what is all over like
- 1:11Speaker 4: your body, Like you don't look okay, and I was
- 1:13Speaker 4: like I feel fine whatever, and then I would end up,
- 1:16Speaker 4: you know, sleeping there again, and then these this rash
- 1:20Speaker 4: would just like took over my whole body. It was
- 1:24Speaker 4: like my face, my whole entire head to toe, and
- 1:28Speaker 4: it was extremely itchy, like.
- 1:31Speaker 2: On their white bad must have been like really into you, because.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, it's like, wow, what is happening? And so
- 1:42Speaker 4: I ended up going to the doctor and they were like,
- 1:44Speaker 4: it's just like a rash from what you're using, like
- 1:47Speaker 4: your soaps and stuff. Yeah, okay. So they were like
- 1:51Speaker 4: switch to like a regular one with no scent, and
- 1:55Speaker 4: I was like okay, So I did that and there
- 1:58Speaker 4: was no improvement. It was like, actually, I'll show you
- 2:01Speaker 4: guys a photo just for content.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:04Speaker 4: It was pretty insane, Like.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Oh my, isn't that crazy? Oh it's like how long
- 2:13Speaker 3: did you have that? Before they realized what it was?
- 2:16Speaker 3: Six months?
- 2:17Speaker 4: So I literally had that for six months and it
- 2:20Speaker 4: was like going to like it was spring rain, so
- 2:23Speaker 4: it was like swimsuits and yeah, terrible and horrible. Yeah,
- 2:30Speaker 4: And all the doctors could do was like prescribe me
- 2:32Speaker 4: creams and stuff and nothing worked. And I was like,
- 2:34Speaker 4: this is so weird because when I was like when
- 2:36Speaker 4: I would be at the sorority house, it was never
- 2:39Speaker 4: like anything crazy and then I would go to his
- 2:42Speaker 4: and then I'd wake up and it's like just inflamed
- 2:45Speaker 4: head to toe.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Oh so like clear up completely and then come back.
- 2:48Speaker 4: So it wouldn't clear up completely, but it would like
- 2:52Speaker 4: it would not be like as red when I wasn't there.
- 2:56Speaker 4: And then so yeah, I went for six months with
- 2:59Speaker 4: that and I would literally really like have to have
- 3:01Speaker 4: my roommates like cream me up.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Like it was that was so much up.
- 3:05Speaker 4: And then it was summer, so I came home and
- 3:09Speaker 4: then I went to the doctor and they were like
- 3:12Speaker 4: immediately they were like, oh, this is like caused by
- 3:15Speaker 4: black mold. And I was like, oh great. So it
- 3:18Speaker 4: was literally a rash from black mold. But for some reason,
- 3:23Speaker 4: no one else got any like sickness or no one
- 3:27Speaker 4: else like it was just like the way my body reacted.
- 3:30Speaker 4: But I had that first six months and it was awful.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I would have to wear like socks on my hands
- 3:36Speaker 4: to go to sleep because I would literally.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Like, oh my god, I.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Don't I know I should have gone home.
- 3:43Speaker 2: What is black mold? What is it?
- 3:46Speaker 4: It's like when I think it's like those old houses
- 3:50Speaker 4: like frat houses whatever. I don't know. Maybe they just
- 3:54Speaker 4: like I don't think they cleaned anything or who knows,
- 3:58Speaker 4: but it was disgusting and yeah awful.
- 4:03Speaker 3: It's like really really bad for you too. It can
- 4:05Speaker 3: like it like usually grows in like walls and stuff
- 4:08Speaker 3: or like yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Days, you've heard of it. Do you know anyone that
- 4:12Speaker 2: ever had it?
- 4:13Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 4:13Speaker 3: Well, I I just know a lot about it because
- 4:16Speaker 3: so I have lime disease and so like mold can
- 4:20Speaker 3: really affect people with lime disease. So I just learned
- 4:22Speaker 3: about a lot of it. And then it's actually interesting
- 4:25Speaker 3: because in college there was a place I lived in
- 4:27Speaker 3: and it definitely had so much black mold and I
- 4:30Speaker 3: was way sicker when I lived there, so I think
- 4:32Speaker 3: that was why. And then I did like a treatment
- 4:34Speaker 3: in Germany for my lime disease, and that was like
- 4:39Speaker 3: you had to do a whole entire detox because they
- 4:41Speaker 3: were like, if there's any black mold like that you've
- 4:44Speaker 3: been exposed to.
- 4:46Speaker 4: But it's crazy totally, And that's like I came home
- 4:49Speaker 4: and it honestly like got so much better when I
- 4:51Speaker 4: was home, but I had to like go to so
- 4:53Speaker 4: many different doctors and like get a yeah situated, I'm
- 4:57Speaker 4: better now, thank god, But I do not wish that
- 5:00Speaker 4: my worst enemy.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It was, yeah, well, how do you get rid of
- 5:03Speaker 2: the bitch? Is there a medicine for do you just
- 5:05Speaker 2: have to like stay away from the mold pretty much, just.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Like stay away from it and just like eat super clean.
- 5:12Speaker 4: And there was just like yeah, different things that I
- 5:15Speaker 4: was putting all over my body and it was like
- 5:17Speaker 4: a full like detox taking medicines.
- 5:21Speaker 3: But yeah, and have you been good since?
- 5:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I've been completely fine.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Now, okay good? Yeah, yeah that is crazy. I can't
- 5:30Speaker 3: believe for six months months.
- 5:33Speaker 4: So stay like if you ever hear black mold, like
- 5:35Speaker 4: literally run.
- 5:36Speaker 3: So run say it happens. I feel like a lot
- 5:40Speaker 3: in the dorm rooms too. I remember at San Diego State,
- 5:42Speaker 3: like one of the dorms I had to completely shut
- 5:45Speaker 3: down when I was there because they found black mold
- 5:47Speaker 3: in it.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Wow. Yeah, like super not safe. But yeah, I'm alive
- 5:53Speaker 4: now alive.
- 5:53Speaker 2: And well yeah, you know, we're talking to a lot
- 5:56Speaker 2: of girls today and like they got sick and they
- 5:59Speaker 2: weren't just sick for like three days. They were sick
- 6:01Speaker 2: for a while. And you're in college and trying to
- 6:04Speaker 2: manage that is tough, you know, I mean It's one
- 6:07Speaker 2: thing when you have you know, your parents or whomever
- 6:11Speaker 2: like looking out for you and and but to be
- 6:14Speaker 2: just with other girls, it's a lot a lot of
- 6:16Speaker 2: like and I'm sure I don't know if you felt
- 6:18Speaker 2: this way. Did you feel it all, like not ostracized,
- 6:21Speaker 2: because I'm sure these people were your friends totally.
- 6:23Speaker 4: I mean, like everyone's taking photos it was our spring break,
- 6:26Speaker 4: and like everyone's in swimsuits. I almost didn't want to
- 6:28Speaker 4: go because I'm like, I'm so insecure. Yeah, or like
- 6:33Speaker 4: guys would be like I remember these guys coming up
- 6:35Speaker 4: to me and being like what's all over your body?
- 6:38Speaker 4: Or like they would be like one guy was like
- 6:41Speaker 4: you have bruises and like this rational over your body
- 6:43Speaker 4: and I'm like, oh no, like I know that right,
- 6:48Speaker 4: Yeah exactly. So it was terrible. But and also like
- 6:52Speaker 4: you know, in college, like drinking every weekend is definitely
- 6:55Speaker 4: inflaming it even more.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Oh for sure, not helping. So there was probably just
- 7:00Speaker 3: like getting it worse and worse the environment you were in.
- 7:06Speaker 2: You survived it. That makes you stronger. So yeah, exactly,
- 7:12Speaker 2: you go, Yes, Well, thank you so much for sharing
- 7:16Speaker 2: so much.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Okay. Our next caller is Brin hey, Brin, Brin, we
- 7:36Speaker 3: learned a little earlier. We talked to another girl about
- 7:39Speaker 3: nora virus. Nor virus?
- 7:41Speaker 6: Did I say right, nora virus?
- 7:43Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, okay, and I you have a story about
- 7:47Speaker 3: that too, Yes, I do have a story about that.
- 7:51Speaker 3: So how when did this happen?
- 7:55Speaker 1: So this was my junior year of college and basically
- 8:00Speaker 1: the way my sorority was set up at least, we
- 8:03Speaker 1: all lived in the house sophomore year, okay, and so
- 8:08Speaker 1: during rush, all of the sophomores kind of just started
- 8:12Speaker 1: dropping like flies, just getting really like grossly sick. I
- 8:17Speaker 1: don't know if anyone's ever had nouma virus, but it
- 8:20Speaker 1: kind of just hits you, and it's your dad.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And I are learning a lot about a lot of
- 8:27Speaker 2: we are today. Nouma virus sounds like one of the
- 8:30Speaker 2: worst ones.
- 8:32Speaker 4: It's like the.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Worst twelve hours of your life. I don't know what
- 8:35Speaker 6: it's from.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I've heard a bunch of different things, like bad food,
- 8:38Speaker 1: but it's also just super contagious, and so obviously we're
- 8:42Speaker 1: all It's also like during rush, so we're like welcoming
- 8:47Speaker 1: all these p and m like potential new members into
- 8:50Speaker 1: the sorority. And it's such like a small, confined space.
- 8:55Speaker 1: It was just it was all psychologically. I started feeling sick.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I don't know if I was, but it was just
- 9:04Speaker 1: one of those things where I was like, oh, like
- 9:06Speaker 1: now I'm so nauseous. The girl that I was standing
- 9:10Speaker 1: next to like she drops and gets it.
- 9:12Speaker 6: It was just terrible.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Well, while you're standing there, you were feeling it like
- 9:17Speaker 2: like at the same month. Wow.
- 9:20Speaker 1: No, So I would say like it was kind of
- 9:24Speaker 1: just where like I knew that the girl that was
- 9:27Speaker 1: standing next to me originally had gotten sick, and then
- 9:30Speaker 1: in my head I was like, oh my god, now.
- 9:32Speaker 6: I feel sick. But I would say probably funny.
- 9:38Speaker 1: People actually had it that we're living in the house,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and I think the house holds like sixty five or
- 9:46Speaker 1: seventy girls, so that's a third of the people that were.
- 9:49Speaker 6: Living in there.
- 9:50Speaker 1: But then also like they're sick, but that's where they live,
- 9:55Speaker 1: and we're all still just having to be there for
- 9:58Speaker 1: the next three or four days, however longer last.
- 10:03Speaker 2: It doesn't last.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Well.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Our other callers said that she had for like what's
- 10:06Speaker 2: like seventy two hours or something. You said like eleven.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Maybe just different.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So I got it separately my senior year, and I
- 10:16Speaker 1: had it for like twelve hours, but I didn't feel
- 10:22Speaker 1: I didn't feel normal from it for like a week after.
- 10:26Speaker 6: Wow, it wasn't necessarily sick. I was just super kind
- 10:29Speaker 6: of weak and fatigued.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Yeah. How did recruitment go that year? Then?
- 10:36Speaker 6: Probably not so good.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I don't really remember, but I can imagine it was
- 10:42Speaker 1: not not the last year.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Because there are a lot of girls out for it then.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and so that's kind of one of the things too,
- 10:49Speaker 1: is like, I mean it's really not that big of
- 10:51Speaker 1: a deal, but we were just like you practice in
- 10:54Speaker 1: certain groups and so yeah, it's one girl's out, then
- 10:57Speaker 1: that whole group kind of has to be out, so
- 11:00Speaker 1: it's like a domino effect of just so many.
- 11:05Speaker 6: I don't know, it's a lot of bad stuff about her.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Yeah, you know who like the first person was to
- 11:10Speaker 3: get it.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I do know who the first person, and she was
- 11:15Speaker 1: kind of pretty close friend. So yeah, that's why I
- 11:19Speaker 1: also kind of was like, oh, I've been around her
- 11:23Speaker 1: a lot.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Yeah, well at least said years lasted like twelve hours, right, Yeah.
- 11:30Speaker 3: We talked to a girl today and hers was like
- 11:32Speaker 3: three days.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, can you imagine she said you couldn't even eat,
- 11:37Speaker 2: there was no Maybe that's why you were also tired
- 11:39Speaker 2: for a long time, said she couldn't get anything down.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah, And I remember I had it the week before
- 11:44Speaker 1: I was graduating, and so there was so many activities
- 11:48Speaker 1: and events going on, and so people were kind of
- 11:53Speaker 1: coming in and out of my house and I was
- 11:56Speaker 1: just kind of sleeping on my couch and like drunk
- 12:00Speaker 1: girls were coming in and trying to feed me crackers
- 12:02Speaker 1: and ped light and I was like, please, yeah, I
- 12:06Speaker 1: can't Yeah, awful.
- 12:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Is there something else that you got?
- 12:12Speaker 3: Pink Guy?
- 12:13Speaker 6: Pink guess there was.
- 12:16Speaker 1: So I was in one sorty and I was very
- 12:18Speaker 1: close friends with a lot of girls in another sorority.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and this was.
- 12:24Speaker 1: My sophomore year, so I spent a lot of I
- 12:26Speaker 1: probably honestly spent more time at this other sorority than
- 12:29Speaker 1: my own at times.
- 12:31Speaker 6: And I would say probably half the house got.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Pink Guy at one point. It was just one of
- 12:37Speaker 1: those things where you couldn't escape it. And then like
- 12:41Speaker 1: girls were just putting eye drops and trying to like
- 12:44Speaker 1: hide it, and they were going out and yeah, it
- 12:47Speaker 1: was it was not It was not a good situation.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Yeah yuck.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I know, like seriously days and I have like the
- 12:57Speaker 2: heavy GB's over here and it's it's not from you,
- 12:59Speaker 2: it's I have.
- 13:01Speaker 6: I have evy GB's for myself.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Like I look back and it wasn't even that long ago,
- 13:07Speaker 1: and just like thinking about the things that I did
- 13:10Speaker 1: and was okay with like I had it and I
- 13:13Speaker 1: was I was like, no, it's fine, Like I'm just
- 13:15Speaker 1: going to go out.
- 13:16Speaker 6: No one will know, and I can back on photos.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Of myself and it's so obvious and it's so gross,
- 13:24Speaker 1: and I just wish, I like, because now I don't
- 13:27Speaker 1: I could stay in if I don't feel or whatever,
- 13:29Speaker 1: but for some reason, sophomore year, I just had to
- 13:33Speaker 1: be at everything.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just like the college life.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Ever say exactly, Oh my god. So advice for our
- 13:43Speaker 2: listeners would be so out think I.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Yeah, let yourself give yourself twenty four hours to get right, right.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Yeah, even though you want to go out. Yeah yeah,
- 13:57Speaker 3: Well thank you so much for coming on Brin.
- 14:14Speaker 2: All right, guys, So now our producer is joining us
- 14:17Speaker 2: with her horror story.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Hello is Amy, Hi you guys? Well mine is not
- 14:22Speaker 5: It's so bad, right, I was thinking back. I don't
- 14:25Speaker 5: remember neurovirus, Like, I don't remember even ever vomiting when
- 14:30Speaker 5: I was at Kappa.
- 14:32Speaker 3: You've heard some crazy stories today.
- 14:34Speaker 5: I don't remember catching a cold, like, I don't remember
- 14:38Speaker 5: any of that, Like even between us girls, like I don't.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Even remember like having diarrhea.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Or something like that.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Because you don't have us for diarrhea. You have no
- 14:47Speaker 2: idea what we've been through.
- 14:51Speaker 5: Well, I will tell you guys about two things. The gift,
- 14:55Speaker 5: the gifts that keep on giving because they are still
- 14:58Speaker 5: giving today. So you know how everyone wore shower shoes,
- 15:03Speaker 5: do you guys shower shoes?
- 15:04Speaker 4: Sure?
- 15:05Speaker 5: So I wasn't like a huge fan of shower shoes
- 15:07Speaker 5: because looking back on it now, I could have just
- 15:09Speaker 5: done like flip flops. But everyone was wearing those blue
- 15:12Speaker 5: Adidas with the white stripes kind of has their shower shoes.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:16Speaker 5: I was like, this is just getting soggy, and they
- 15:18Speaker 5: kind of have like it's not fabric, but there's sort
- 15:21Speaker 5: of like a little material where they weren't all.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it's almost like feemy right, yes, and it would
- 15:25Speaker 4: just be soggy and soppy, and I just was like,
- 15:27Speaker 4: my feet, I'm very like particular about like I really
- 15:31Speaker 4: like the process of.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Like scrubbing my feet. Right, let me tell you what happened.
- 15:35Speaker 5: So all my years at Kappa, I'd never wore shower shoes,
- 15:40Speaker 5: and right around the time I was graduating, I noticed
- 15:44Speaker 5: this tiny, tiny white dot on the bottom of my
- 15:49Speaker 5: foot and it was pretty small, like maybe the size
- 15:52Speaker 5: of like an eraser head. So I'm like, it's not
- 15:55Speaker 5: a wart, Like what is that? Right?
- 15:59Speaker 3: Yeah, but I mean.
- 15:59Speaker 5: You're like young, So I just kind of was like
- 16:01Speaker 5: whatever and would just sort of ignore it. I went
- 16:05Speaker 5: on and this thing, I think I even went to
- 16:09Speaker 5: get it like frozen off, and it came back to
- 16:12Speaker 5: the size of even erasers maybe ten. It looks like
- 16:20Speaker 5: on your foot. On the bottom of my foot, it
- 16:22Speaker 5: looks like it just looked like cauliflower.
- 16:26Speaker 2: No.
- 16:26Speaker 5: I could walk and I could do everything fine, but
- 16:28Speaker 5: it was so gross. And then I was sort of
- 16:31Speaker 5: paranoid because you know, like you can spread warts to yourself,
- 16:35Speaker 5: so like say, you, like, I don't know, touch that
- 16:38Speaker 5: gross thing on your foot, and then you touch it
- 16:40Speaker 5: can get on your hand. So I just was like,
- 16:42Speaker 5: oh my god. And all of a sudden, ten is
- 16:45Speaker 5: ten years later, So now I'm like in my thirties
- 16:48Speaker 5: and this thing is still there, and I was Now,
- 16:50Speaker 5: I was like, I got to figure out how to
- 16:51Speaker 5: get rid of this.
- 16:52Speaker 3: It's still there.
- 16:54Speaker 5: No, now I'm thinking now, Daisy, no, but thank you
- 16:57Speaker 5: for thinking I was thirty. My god. So finally, after
- 17:02Speaker 5: trying all these different things, I finally got lucky and
- 17:05Speaker 5: found some sort of droppy thing and it finally went away.
- 17:09Speaker 2: So my first well, listen, it's gross. But we were
- 17:13Speaker 2: talking about General's herpes, so I mean, and that's not
- 17:18Speaker 2: that's a gift that keeps on giving too, it.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Really does it. That seems like something that didn't spread
- 17:23Speaker 5: within the sorority.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Well the mouth herpies did though, right right?
- 17:27Speaker 5: Because wow? Okay. So then the other one I think
- 17:34Speaker 5: that I got from Kappa or from like having to
- 17:37Speaker 5: share a shower of my brother when I was a kid.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Athletes foot mine are all founding feet. I think the
- 17:45Speaker 5: showers at Kappa were like a breeding ground for like
- 17:48Speaker 5: a fungus among us type of thing. Now, if I
- 17:53Speaker 5: go near any kind of athletes foot anything, immediately I
- 17:56Speaker 5: have it.
- 17:57Speaker 3: You'll get it.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, uh yeah? Is it? Is it a? Is
- 18:02Speaker 2: it a? It's like a mold.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Right, it's like a fungus. It's a fus.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I've had it for sure, discussing like, yeah, so these
- 18:11Speaker 2: are my two gross things.
- 18:13Speaker 5: And I'm telling you, for years, I would way too
- 18:15Speaker 5: embarrassed to talk about either these things. Now I'm like whatever, athletes,
- 18:20Speaker 5: but this is the least of my problems.
- 18:21Speaker 2: But yeah, listen, ladies listening wear shower shoes literally.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Or you know those things like you know, I don't
- 18:32Speaker 5: know if they're called, but they're almost like water socks.
- 18:35Speaker 5: They are like you flip them around your feet. They're
- 18:38Speaker 5: like socks practically, but they sort of have soles. You
- 18:41Speaker 5: don't ever wear those, like if you're going in there. Yeah,
- 18:43Speaker 5: water shoes. I think they're called.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, yeah, yeah, Okay, I feel like you can.
- 18:51Speaker 2: They're just like pats.
- 18:52Speaker 5: But you have to be such a good balancer because
- 18:55Speaker 5: it's like you still got to like scrub your feet.
- 18:59Speaker 5: Oh like stand on one leg, scrub your foot, put
- 19:02Speaker 5: it down. I don't know, wait, what else did people have?
- 19:05Speaker 2: This is like oh god, well yeah, what about hand
- 19:13Speaker 2: butt in mouth?
- 19:14Speaker 5: That one's going around.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Bad yepund the worst.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Aarama a barcarama. No, someone I know fled their sorority
- 19:26Speaker 5: this week. I won't name who, but I got a
- 19:29Speaker 5: call and they're like, I'm sleeing because there was hand
- 19:31Speaker 5: button mouth smart.
- 19:33Speaker 2: It sounds like that's probably smart.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:36Speaker 5: I don't think I ever threw up all of colon.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Wow, that's that's something to be said for that. Yeah,
- 19:43Speaker 2: that's a miracle, even from.
- 19:47Speaker 5: Right, not even from what. I never had any alcohol
- 19:50Speaker 5: in my life, so I've never had that.
- 19:53Speaker 2: I'm sorry the time, I just missed that whole thing.
- 19:55Speaker 2: What did you just say.
- 19:57Speaker 5: I've never had a sip of alcohol. I've never had
- 19:59Speaker 5: a cigarette. I've never smoke coffee. I mean smoked coffee.
- 20:01Speaker 5: I've never had coffee. I've never smoked a cigarette. I've
- 20:04Speaker 5: never done drugs.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Nothing.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Amy. Maybe I always take of you in Kappa and
- 20:09Speaker 2: like sorority girl.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I really think that you would be like haze.
- 20:15Speaker 5: But no, nothing.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Wow, not even like a glass of wine.
- 20:20Speaker 5: Nothing, No, No, I smelled its. Hey, it's just for me.
- 20:25Speaker 5: It's it feels like I'm drinking a nail pulsh remover.
- 20:28Speaker 5: I like smelled it. I'm like, oh my god, how
- 20:30Speaker 5: do people drink that? And one time, one time I
- 20:34Speaker 5: was getting like a cranberry juice and the bartender actually
- 20:37Speaker 5: accidentally put vodka in it. It burned my throat out.
- 20:40Speaker 5: I don't know how you guys drink that curly. I
- 20:43Speaker 5: felt like I swallowed fire. I don't know.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Wow, what else about you guys?
- 20:50Speaker 5: Did you guys have diarrhea?
- 20:53Speaker 2: No? I was a hypochondriac. Like I was so nervous
- 20:57Speaker 2: all the time, Like I would get by a headache
- 21:00Speaker 2: in my mind still to this day, if I have
- 21:02Speaker 2: a headache, it's a tumor, if you know, it's like
- 21:05Speaker 2: I have, and if people around me are getting sick,
- 21:08Speaker 2: like I don't even like to hear about sometimes the
- 21:09Speaker 2: symptoms of things. But I was so like almost paralyzed
- 21:15Speaker 2: with like hypochondria and sometimes those things, like you know,
- 21:20Speaker 2: mental illnesses, they can start around that age.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Like you twenty, I learned I had anxiety. I definitely
- 21:26Speaker 5: had a doctor like tell me I had to breathe
- 21:28Speaker 5: into a brown paper bag. Yeah, yeah, that was when
- 21:31Speaker 5: I first did that. And my friend, my capa roommate,
- 21:34Speaker 5: was like, remember the bag, Like I would just get
- 21:36Speaker 5: this like lunch back and just like breathing. Yeah, like yeah,
- 21:40Speaker 5: like the nineties version of meditation yeah. Yeah, you get
- 21:45Speaker 5: tons of anxiety when you see on People magazine, those
- 21:48Speaker 5: like clickbait like this lady died from eating crab.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Yes, I do, I get really, I And but it
- 21:57Speaker 2: used to it was different because you know, in my twenties,
- 21:59Speaker 2: like you, nobody usually prescribing anything. I mean, I had it.
- 22:03Speaker 2: It was it was very difficult. And then I got
- 22:06Speaker 2: a little older and I was introduced to prozac and
- 22:11Speaker 2: you know now and then I could because it used
- 22:13Speaker 2: to really like it would paralyze me. The fear would
- 22:16Speaker 2: just paralyze.
- 22:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I get that.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Yeah, So I think I think it's maybe we'll do
- 22:20Speaker 2: an episode about that. But like when because a lot
- 22:22Speaker 2: of stuff, mental stuff hits.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Interesting saying that, because I'm thinking about the sorority, right, say,
- 22:29Speaker 5: there was like I don't know one hundred girls that
- 22:31Speaker 5: live there. I would, if I was a gambling woman,
- 22:34Speaker 5: would say sixty. Yeah, I had some kind of anxiety.
- 22:38Speaker 3: So for sure. And I feel like college just like
- 22:40Speaker 3: amplifies that to you, right, And I don't.
- 22:44Speaker 5: Know it's living in the sorority eases it in some ways,
- 22:48Speaker 5: it probably exasperates it. Sorry for my good word to
- 22:52Speaker 5: exacerbate you. Also, yeah, because it's conducive to like, when
- 22:58Speaker 5: you're anxious, you kind of have support. Yeah, I think
- 23:02Speaker 5: all that is just sort of like breed some anxiety.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, even you know, to be surrounded by people,
- 23:10Speaker 2: but it feels very alienating. And I would think, like,
- 23:14Speaker 2: you know, I had it. I did have it at
- 23:17Speaker 2: that age. And I'm trying to remember in living in
- 23:19Speaker 2: the sorority house and feeling like a crazy person. So
- 23:24Speaker 2: you know, not baby being able to share it as
- 23:27Speaker 2: much as you know, I'd like to, but.
- 23:29Speaker 5: I have to remember crying over boys then, and literally
- 23:34Speaker 5: for me to cry over a boy now, wow, it
- 23:36Speaker 5: would have to be extreme, Like I feel like funny,
- 23:40Speaker 5: like a boy is sort of mean to you or
- 23:43Speaker 5: dumpy and you just cry for weeks.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Oh for sure. It's just so much more amplified.
- 23:49Speaker 5: I feel like totally I look back now and I'm like,
- 23:53Speaker 5: why did I care about that school?
- 23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're talking with Emma because Emma, I had
- 23:58Speaker 2: my daughter on the on the last episodes. Yeah, boyfriend
- 24:03Speaker 2: just broke up. They were together for a year. I mean,
- 24:06Speaker 2: I I can't seem to like get her to snap
- 24:09Speaker 2: out of it. It's just horrible and.
- 24:11Speaker 5: And this is the thing. You tell her this is
- 24:14Speaker 5: going to not bother you. You will not know this
- 24:17Speaker 5: when I look back and I'm like, what was that
- 24:19Speaker 5: dude's name. I probably cried over that guy for a month. Yeah,
- 24:23Speaker 5: and I'm like, or I see him now at a
- 24:25Speaker 5: cow game and I'm like what. I'm just like, oh, brutal,
- 24:31Speaker 5: you know, Like right, I do say that. That's a
- 24:35Speaker 5: whole That's definitely a thing we need to do an
- 24:38Speaker 5: episode on, because when you're in it, you're like, it's
- 24:42Speaker 5: so dramatic, and now looking back, I'm like, oh my god,
- 24:45Speaker 5: if I married that guy, it would be.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, the whole year she went out with him,
- 24:51Speaker 2: I was like, you cannot marry him, but it isn't.
- 24:53Speaker 2: It's and she knew she wasn't gonna end up with him,
- 24:55Speaker 2: but it's still she's crushed.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:59Speaker 5: I want to help her, and the problem is nothing
- 25:01Speaker 5: you say help.
- 25:02Speaker 3: I know you like.
- 25:05Speaker 5: Everything, it doesn't look at Daisy. She had her guy,
- 25:08Speaker 5: they broke up, and now they're getting married.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but you guys woke up and then got back together.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Yeah, we dated in college for like a little bit
- 25:16Speaker 3: and then we Yeah.
- 25:19Speaker 5: She went on this little show called The bachelor.
- 25:23Speaker 3: She just needs to go on the back.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you know something, she would she probably love it.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Had I had so much fun. I had like the
- 25:33Speaker 3: time of my life. It was such a good experience
- 25:35Speaker 3: for me, I think, child.
- 25:38Speaker 5: I have a question for Daisy. Yeah, give me a comparison. Sorority,
- 25:44Speaker 5: How similar is it to living in the mansion with
- 25:46Speaker 5: all the girls?
- 25:47Speaker 3: Honestly, I will say it was like the most thing,
- 25:54Speaker 3: like closest probably to a sorority that I've been Like, yeah,
- 25:58Speaker 3: just because even like the whole time you're talking to girls,
- 26:00Speaker 3: like it felt like recruitment because you're like asking them questions,
- 26:03Speaker 3: trying to get to know them, trying to catch people's vibe.
- 26:07Speaker 3: And then yeah, and it's even crazy because like I
- 26:10Speaker 3: remember in college, if there was like a guy and
- 26:13Speaker 3: then like a few girls would be into him and
- 26:16Speaker 3: they would want him like even more, and I like
- 26:19Speaker 3: exactly what it was. It was just like them putting
- 26:22Speaker 3: a guy in this situation and then if someone wanted him,
- 26:27Speaker 3: then like the other girl wanted him to it was
- 26:30Speaker 3: like who.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Was your your guy?
- 26:32Speaker 4: Again?
- 26:32Speaker 5: I don't know why I slipped my mouth, Olton, No,
- 26:34Speaker 5: who's your guy?
- 26:36Speaker 3: On my on the season I was on, Yeah.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Oh it was Joey. Actually, I'm gonna say, Joe's pretty.
- 26:45Speaker 5: He's a catch, So I get why all the girls
- 26:47Speaker 5: were freaking out. But yeah, that's where I'm like, why
- 26:51Speaker 5: are they fighting over this guy? Yeah, they're all crying
- 26:55Speaker 5: over this absolute Yeah.
- 26:57Speaker 3: I'm excited to watch this next like season is see
- 27:00Speaker 3: how it works out with totally.
- 27:03Speaker 5: I think it's going to be kind of iconic. But anyway,
- 27:05Speaker 5: back to the diarrhea. Yeah, you know, I don't ever
- 27:09Speaker 5: recall getting food poisoning, so tip of the hat to
- 27:12Speaker 5: our chift. I don't ever remember that.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah, one of the calls that we're talking to you
- 27:17Speaker 2: said that when she got neurovirus that she thought it
- 27:21Speaker 2: was food poisoning because their chef was known for undercooking
- 27:24Speaker 2: chicken too. To undercook the chicken before you say bye bye.
- 27:31Speaker 5: No, I just got the planner's work gift.
- 27:33Speaker 2: No.
- 27:33Speaker 5: I look back at the things I could eat too,
- 27:35Speaker 5: Like I could just go to Blondie's pizza get the
- 27:38Speaker 5: greasiest I mean, I'm telling you, if you put a
- 27:40Speaker 5: napkin on top of it, it would stop up so
- 27:43Speaker 5: much fat and I could just eat that and go
- 27:45Speaker 5: on with my day, like I'd had just yeah, a
- 27:48Speaker 5: fruits moothe like I was just cruising. I don't know,
- 27:51Speaker 5: I missed that the most. Yeah, but anyway, I love
- 27:54Speaker 5: diarrhea talk so fun, good stuff. Maybe we all wash our.
- 28:02Speaker 2: There's a lesson for you girls. All right, guys, that
- 28:05Speaker 2: was fun. It was fun, fun and changing, I guess.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I mean lots of memories. Daisy. I think you probably meningitis.
- 28:15Speaker 2: If I had to pick one, that would not be
- 28:17Speaker 2: the one I would pick. You do not want any
- 28:19Speaker 2: of these, but but I feel like that would be
- 28:22Speaker 2: the scariest.
- 28:23Speaker 3: I also think like Herbie's having to live with that.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Yes, yes, also that would also suck. Any of them
- 28:29Speaker 2: would suck. It's degrees of suckiness. But yeah, but listen,
- 28:35Speaker 2: listeners were glad that we could share all this with you.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Educate you all, Yes, use use protection and wear shower shoes. Yes,
- 28:45Speaker 2: thanks for listening, guys,
