  a jam. I have a feeling too. You need to stop right there

  because there's probably probably some people that are getting nervous that you're bringing. Oh,

  that is so much fun. Before we get rolling out, we've got

  important stuff to talk about this week, obviously with the snow and for folks

  that have some issues they may be dealing with ice dams. We're going to

  talk about that in just a moment, as well as the importance of air

  ceiling, and those two will probably die right together. I know I mentioned

  you guys had your holiday party, and real quick, just let's talk a

  little bit about Larsen Home Services, a little bit about the history the team

  you have. I know, we talk a lot about about the folks that

  are that are not only doing the installation, but also the folks that are

  that are that are out helping homeowners figure out what exactly is going on with

  home performance. Let's talk about the history of Larsen Home Services. Andrew.

  Why we never really talked about that, have we? No? I don't

  think we haven't. Actually we always talk about important stuff like how are your

  homeworks? But just yeah, so, I mean I started this company back

  in two thousand and nine and we were just a gutter dealer. We only
• 1:40
  did gutters. I didn't want to do anything else. I loved gutters.

  I know it sounds weird. I'm that guy that drives around and looks at
• 1:47
  your home and I totally judge your gutters. Yes, because we like to
• 1:53
  help people. We want people to have great gutters that work, that don't
• 1:57
  clog, that they don't have to touch. And it just makes me happy.

  It makes me feel good at night. But you know, we were
• 2:02
  helping so many people and doing such a great job that you know, after
• 2:07
  about the first year, we had people calling his back saying, Hey,
• 2:08
  I need a new roof, would you do a roof for us? And

  I had always taught my sales reps that if you go to someone's house and
• 2:15
  you do your inspection and they need a new roof more than they need gutters,
• 2:22
  it is more important to sell them a new roof because if the roof
• 2:24
  is leaking and the water gets in the home before it gets to the edge
• 2:28
  of the roof, what good do the gutters do. So we were basically
• 2:30
  just referring out some great local companies and GAF, the largest shingle manufacturer in
• 2:39
  the world, actually found me, contacted me and said, you know,
• 2:45
  we've heard about you. We see the great work you're doing. You know
• 2:49
  we should start roofing. And I had a background in roofing. I worked
• 2:53
  for a roofing company in the Twin Cities. I've actually physically installed roofing.
• 2:58
  I've sold roofing, so I knew a lot about it. But in the
• 3:01
  roofing industry, what it really comes down to is how good of a roofing
• 3:06
  crew that you have. And that's not easy to come by. Someone with
• 3:09
  experience, someone with integrity, someone with attention to detail. And when I
• 3:14
  was introduced to the roofing crew that we have used on every single roof that
• 3:20
  we've done since twenty eleven. They were at our Christmas party. There's pictures
• 3:24
  of us and them at the Christmas party. If you go on Facebook you

  can see it. But we've become friends, we've become family. They're amazing.

  So we got into roofing and we grew and we grew, and now
• 3:38
  to this day, roofing is the largest part of the business and we're expanding
• 3:43
  more. If you go on Facebook, I'm not telling you go on Facebook

  look at the photos. But you'll notice is there's some different logos. There's

  Larsen Home Services logos. You'll see there's Kini Home Services logos, and then

  there's logos that are doubled up and they say lars and kiny Home Services.

  So one of my best friends forever that I used to work with at our

  first construction company in the Twin Cities, we both started our own businesses at

  the same time. We've now officially kind of not kind of officially become one

  company in two different markets. We've now just opened another location called Larsen Kini
• 4:21
  Home Services or LKHS Home Services in Milwaukee area. We've we've always done some
• 4:28
  work down in Rockford and Rochester and Lacrosse, but we're now officially expanding out
• 4:32
  into those areas too, with actual offices and reps and all of that stuff.

  So we have our roofing, we have our gutter shutter, and we
• 4:46
  have our insulation part of our company. You know, we say that we
• 4:48
  are the experts from the attic up because it's all we deal with. But
• 4:51
  now it's it's going to be about ninety percent of Wisconsin that we will be
• 4:57
  working in, from Auclaire to Lacrosse into over Rochester down to Rockford, all
• 5:00
  of Milwaukee, Greens and Watsaw all the way up into uh Monocua Eagle River
• 5:08
  area. So okay, breath that is that is so awesome to see.

  And UH and folks maybe uh maybe familiar with your with your business partner.

  You guys of course do uh videos and stuff on YouTube channel from time to

  time as well. Really informative. You mentioned the Facebook page. A lot

  of great information there. I run into you, It's funny. I down

  down at my quick trip. I run into your guys some mornings getting ready
• 5:29
  to head out during the during the summer months. And uh and I I
• 5:32
  had my Larson shirt that you had given me, and they had a hoodie

  on that, said Larson, and I showed him and he said and he
• 5:39
  said, oh, Andrew, I said, yeah, I know, Andrew.

  He's like, ah, yes, it was a very ran into the
• 5:45
  roof and cruise. Yeah. Yes, good good guys. And uh and
• 5:49
  I obviously had to work on my house. What an amazing crew you have.

  And let's talk about as we're talking roofing this morning with Andrew Larson,

  about some of the things that can go wrong with a roof. And I
• 6:06
  think one of the big things this time of year is is ice damps not
• 6:11
  a good situation, are they? No? And this this is the exact
• 6:15
  weather, right, so we all got, depending on where you are,
• 6:17
  I don't know, six to fourteen inches depends of really wet, heavy snow.
• 6:26
  Now next we're supposed to get a little bit more snow, and then
• 6:29
  it's supposed to get cold. And this is when I can you truly look
• 6:31
  someone in the eyes and say how good is your air ceiling? Because this
• 6:36
  is the weather right now, where it's going to rear its ugly head.
• 6:40
  It gets we get a bunch of snow, it gets really cold, and
• 6:44
  now our furnace is working overtime. And if we don't have good proper air
• 6:47
  ceiling, and we don't have proper insulation, all of that heat that we're
• 6:51
  creating in our home is going through stack effect right up through the ceiling,
• 6:57
  right through the attic. It then melts the snow on the heated part of
• 7:02
  the home. And when I say heated, I mean everything inside the wall
• 7:05
  over the act because we have a softitt overhang that actually extends into the cold.
• 7:11
  So everything on that heated part now it starts to melt that snow.
• 7:14
  That water then runs down under the snow runs down to the cold overhang,
• 7:18
  and it starts to freeze, and it freeze, thaws, freeze, thaws,
• 7:20
  free staws. Now we get an ice damp and then it backs up.
• 7:25
  So how good is your air ceiling, how good is your insulation?
• 7:28
  And do you have the proper amounts of ice and water or leak barrier at
• 7:32
  the edge of your roofs Because right now is when our air ceiling, insulation,
• 7:39
  air ceiling and insulation and our roof work in tandem because this is the
• 7:44
  type of weather when we see ice dams, we see roof leaks, We're
• 7:47
  going to start seeing furnaces go out working too hard and overall this can really
• 7:54
  create a mess. So know that two of the things we do is makes
• 7:59
  your air ceiling and it's is done properly. And fix roofs. Not only
• 8:03
  do we fix roofs, we repair and or restore roofs. So if you
• 8:09
  have a leak, call us. We will find the leak, we will
• 8:13
  fix the leak. We will make sure that you're good until we get to
• 8:16
  spring and we can take a closer look at everything. But yes, this

  is what's going to happen right now with all this snow and the cold that
• 8:24
  we're supposed to get. Because when we get this cold, we both know
• 8:28
  your roof shouldn't be melting. Snow shouldn't be melting off it if we have
• 8:33
  proper air ceiling and insulation. It's such an amazing as we as we talk
• 8:35
  about, you know what you're able to do for folks at Larsenal Services and

  working with a professional to really help you diagnose those problem areas, whether their

  problems stay or could become problems in the future. It's a really great opportunity

  well, what does that have to do with gutters. It reminds me of

  like it's almost like when you buy a home or get a home, it's

  got four donuts on the on the wheels, and is is it adequate to

  drive up the street? Probably, as you point out, as an adequate

  to drive on the highway? Absolutely not. Same thing with gutters. Are

  they adequate if you get a little bit of rain? Sure? Are they

  adequate if you get a lot of rain, or you get the snow or

  you're dealing with an annual regular situation here in Wisconsin. Absolutely not. You

  want real tires, you get what you pay for with those type of things,

  and that's the important things about your gutters. So if you've got even

  a new home, brand new home and you look at those gutters. Those

  are donut tire gutters. You want to get real good analogy? Thank you

  it PC so pre COVID. Okay, we started a new time in history,

  pre COVID. Great numbers. Great to see people. We've got some

  coming up. We're going to be at the one in Milwaukee at the State

  Fairgrounds coming up this weekend and the weekend after that, we're at the Naari
• 11:39
  show over on the West Side, and the guys are seeing people like interactive
• 11:41
  stuff. I'm like, oh, what could we do? You know some
• 11:43
  people have spin the wheel win a prize. Some people have let's shoot a
• 11:46
  bean bag whatever. I said, how about we build a pull up bar,
• 11:52
  but the pull ups are off of gutter shutters. Yes, and for
• 11:56
  every pull up that you can do, we'll give you a certain percent oh

  loss of your gutter job. I think that's a really good idea. That

  is brilliant Andrew. That is Ah, that's the way to go money safe

  because most people can't do a ton of pull ups. So but if you're

  in really good shape and you really want to get a great deal, yeah,

  I think you might want to come down and really crack them out.
