Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Kevin Gray from the UK. Good morning, mine in there, Andrew.
- 0:04Speaker 1: The London train from Doncaster was a horror show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I'm afraid. So it's a great deal of shock in
- 0:10Speaker 2: this country actually over what happens. So this was a
- 0:12Speaker 2: train traveling from Doncaster in the north of England now
- 0:15Speaker 2: to London on a Saturday night and all of a sudden,
- 0:19Speaker 2: after it had stopped at its sort of last big
- 0:22Speaker 2: stop at Peterborough, it was then supposed to be running
- 0:25Speaker 2: direct through to London on a fast line. Sadly, two
- 0:29Speaker 2: men are then believed to have got up with knives
- 0:32Speaker 2: and started stabbing people. At the moment, we have been
- 0:36Speaker 2: told that two are being held. They are British nationals
- 0:40Speaker 2: and being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder. We now
- 0:43Speaker 2: know that there are two in hospital with life threatening conditions.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Earlier today it was said to be up to nine,
- 0:49Speaker 2: so that's a more positive figure, and now four have
- 0:52Speaker 2: been discharged from hospital. A quick thinking train driver, when
- 0:57Speaker 2: he was alerted that there was a crisis on board,
- 1:00Speaker 2: moved phone ahead to the control center and moved the
- 1:03Speaker 2: train from the fast line which he wouldn't have been
- 1:06Speaker 2: able to stop on and they were diverted to the
- 1:09Speaker 2: slower line and then the train stopped at an unscheduled
- 1:13Speaker 2: stopped at Huntingdon, about one hundred and fifty kilometers north
- 1:15Speaker 2: of London, and they're at the platform. The police met
- 1:18Speaker 2: the train, everyone poured off and two men there were arrested. Now,
- 1:22Speaker 2: originally counter terrorism police were investigating this. We are now
- 1:26Speaker 2: being told it is likely not to be terror related.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yes, and indeed the people who are against immigration have
- 1:32Speaker 3: been going on about them being immigrants, but they're British born,
- 1:35Speaker 3: aren't they And said the question will be how many
- 1:37Speaker 3: generations do you have to live in England and before
- 1:39Speaker 3: you become not an immigrant?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yep, yep.
- 1:43Speaker 2: More details are coming out of this pair, but at
- 1:45Speaker 2: the at the moment, just that bald statement as it were,
- 1:48Speaker 2: just saying they are British nationals and they are being questioned.
- 1:52Speaker 1: All right, I thank you for your turn, Kevin Gray
- 1:54Speaker 1: from the UK.
