- 0:12Speaker 1: Billy the Kid in the morning. Once again, back is
- 0:15Speaker 1: the incredible Billy the Kid.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Live and local.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Billy the Kid. Billy the Kid in the morning. We're
- 0:24Speaker 1: gonna rock, baby. Friday, Friday, Friday, Friday. It's Friday. It's
- 0:30Speaker 1: Mix 102.9.
- 0:30Speaker 6: Good morning. Bill of the Kid, Candace Lopez, producer Pooh
- 0:34Speaker 6: is here. Bright and early on kind of a rainy
- 0:37Speaker 6: blah day. I don't know what it's going to do today, Candace.
- 0:39Speaker 6: I'm sure you'll get the weather later.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I will for sure. Yeah, a little blah, but
- 0:42Speaker 4: not too bad.
- 0:43Speaker 6: Well, yesterday I thought I was going to have to
- 0:44Speaker 6: build Noah's Ark and then nothing happened really at my house.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it didn't seem as much rain as I thought
- 0:50Speaker 4: it was going to be.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I know some places did, but it wasn't that
- 0:52Speaker 1: bad in Carrollton.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it was just like slow and steady rain, but
- 0:55Speaker 4: nothing like torrential, which I guess is cool.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It was kind of misty.
- 0:58Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 0:59Speaker 6: It was misty. I tried to run yesterday. I don't
- 1:01Speaker 6: know if you saw my Instagram.
- 1:02Speaker 4: You did?
- 1:03Speaker 1: I did. I was going to try to jog, right?
- 1:05Speaker 4: Oh, good.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Good nothing. Running sucks.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:10Speaker 4: You've got to start slow.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Oh, trust me. I'm slow.
- 1:14Speaker 4: No, I mean, like, short stints of running, and then
- 1:17Speaker 4: you'll get it.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I mean, a mile's a pretty short stint. It's not
- 1:19Speaker 1: that long. Yeah. So I'll run the mile, and it's
- 1:21Speaker 1: like I can do it, but running with basketball or
- 1:24Speaker 1: a sport all day.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Yeah, you don't notice it.
- 1:27Speaker 1: No problem. When I'm just running for fun, just to run,
- 1:31Speaker 1: I notice every ache, every pain, every knee throb, because I'm, like,
- 1:36Speaker 1: not thinking about anything else.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Do you have a playlist on?
- 1:38Speaker 1: Yes, I had a playlist.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Was it the right playlist?
- 1:41Speaker 1: I think so. I mean, it was just like, I
- 1:43Speaker 1: don't know, aggressive music.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, that's good. How long did you run, though?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Candice Lopez, about a mile.
- 1:50Speaker 4: But like minutes-wise.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I don't want to say that. Well, I need to
- 1:54Speaker 1: know because I've told.
- 1:55Speaker 4: You before, you have to run for 10 minutes, at
- 1:56Speaker 4: least for me, before you start to get the endorphins.
- 1:59Speaker 1: And the runner's high. There's no such thing. He didn't
- 2:01Speaker 1: get the high. I didn't get the high.
- 2:03Speaker 4: He didn't go 10 minutes?
- 2:03Speaker 1: I wanted to get high after that. What?
- 2:07Speaker 4: How long did you run?
- 2:08Speaker 1: I mean, probably 12. Probably 10 minutes or so. Okay.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Well, that's about when I start feeling it and I'm like, yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 4: this is good. Doesn't mean I can run better, but
- 2:17Speaker 4: that's when I feel better mentally.
- 2:18Speaker 7: Okay.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Well, I don't know.
- 2:20Speaker 6: I even said online, you can see my story. I'm like,
- 2:22Speaker 6: does runner's high even exist?
- 2:24Speaker 1: It does.
- 2:25Speaker 4: No, for sure it does.
- 2:27Speaker 1: It doesn't.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Keep trying. We'll get there.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay. Well, I just, I mean, I'm trying.
- 2:31Speaker 6: I'm trying to get into it because it sounds much cooler,
- 2:34Speaker 6: you know, to say I'm going to go for a run.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Then I'm going to go for a mall walk.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I'm going to go for an incline walk.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to go for an incline walk. I'm
- 2:42Speaker 1: going to go walk around the mall. I'm going to
- 2:44Speaker 1: do a fart walk.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Yeah, fart walk, though.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Do it.
- 2:46Speaker 4: That's the move.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I ended up walking. It was fine. A couple miles.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It is what it is.
- 2:50Speaker 4: That's good.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Anyway, I'm trying, Candice.
- 2:53Speaker 4: What's up with you?
- 2:53Speaker 1: That's good.
- 2:53Speaker 4: I like that. I think I'm haunted by something right now.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I don't know if it's my algorithm or what's going on,
- 2:59Speaker 4: but every time I try to type my name, it's
- 3:01Speaker 4: auto-correcting my name, Candice, to Candy Corn. Oh, okay. Yeah,
- 3:08Speaker 4: so maybe it's because I saw that pizza. Did you
- 3:10Speaker 4: see the Tombstone pizza that they're now selling with candy
- 3:13Speaker 4: corn on it?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yes, I saw the candy corn pizza.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I don't know if it's because I looked that up
- 3:16Speaker 4: or the candy corn fragrance.
- 3:18Speaker 1: When did your phone start doing this?
- 3:20Speaker 4: Maybe two days ago.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Maybe it was yesterday, actually. I don't know. I got
- 3:25Speaker 4: my days mixed up.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Well, I got a surprise for you, and that's weird.
- 3:28Speaker 8: What?
- 3:29Speaker 1: I'll show you here at Texas Top Stories. I got
- 3:31Speaker 1: to go get it. Okay. But maybe that has something
- 3:33Speaker 1: to do with it.
- 3:33Speaker 4: I don't know. I think the candy corn is trying to, like,
- 3:36Speaker 4: enter my life so hard right now.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You know what my phone does to you? What?
- 3:40Speaker 6: It spells your name Candace with a K.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Every time I'm verbally, like, talking.
- 3:43Speaker 4: For real?
- 3:44Speaker 6: I'm like, yeah, planning the show or whatever, and I'll
- 3:46Speaker 6: say Candace, and it'll spell it K-A-N-D-I-S.
- 3:50Speaker 4: What?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yes. Oh, okay.
- 3:51Speaker 4: I've had that on my Starbucks order before.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Yeah. I don't know.
- 3:54Speaker 4: It looks pretty like that, but that's just not my name.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Well, either way.
- 3:58Speaker 8: Weird.
- 3:58Speaker 1: All right. Glad you're okay. I'll give you your surprise
- 3:59Speaker 1: in a minute. Okay. Producer Pooh is here. What's up, Pooh? Yesterday,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I got into it with an old lady at Kroger. Wow. Now,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I want y'all to see if I'm wrong. Why do
- 4:07Speaker 1: you always have drama at Kroger and Tom Thumb?
- 4:09Speaker 7: Right?
- 4:10Speaker 4: I don't even talk to anyone at Kroger. I know.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Okay.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Self-checkout. Bye. So, I had to go pick up a prescription. God,
- 4:15Speaker 1: you're old.
- 4:16Speaker 3: And then.
- 4:16Speaker 4: No.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It's a vital... Anyway, I got that. I had the
- 4:20Speaker 1: handheld basket, right?
- 4:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 4:22Speaker 1: So I had some other items in there.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Instant regret. Never get the handheld basket.
- 4:26Speaker 1: That's a bad move. Rookie move.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Go ahead. Oh, God.
- 4:29Speaker 7: Okay, well, I set it down. At the end of
- 4:33Speaker 7: the aisle, because the milk aisle runs parallel. So I
- 4:36Speaker 7: went over there to get me some milk, some almond milk,
- 4:40Speaker 7: and she ran smack dab into my basket.
- 4:42Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, no. And I was like, oh,
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm sorry. So let me see.
- 4:45Speaker 6: You're mad at an old lady for not seeing your
- 4:48Speaker 6: handheld basket that you put on the floor.
- 4:51Speaker 1: She should be paying attention. No. She's coming down the aisle.
- 4:55Speaker 8: Who? What? Why?
- 4:56Speaker 1: Why? It's called a handheld for a reason. I know,
- 4:59Speaker 1: but my items, it was getting heavy, so.
- 5:01Speaker 4: That's what I was saying. Never get the handheld basket.
- 5:04Speaker 4: You're going to always get more items than you need,
- 5:06Speaker 4: and that thing, it's so pointless.
- 5:08Speaker 1: That's a ridiculous decision. I set it down, and she
- 5:11Speaker 1: hit it, and I apologize. I said, oops, I'm sorry.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I didn't mean to have this here. And she goes,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you need to hold on to it. That's what it's for.
- 5:18Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah. I go, I hope you
- 5:21Speaker 1: have a better day. No. And she just, she skirted off.
- 5:25Speaker 1: She didn't.
- 5:25Speaker 4: I mean, nobody expects there to be one of those
- 5:27Speaker 4: baskets on the floor.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, why would there be? In the middle of the aisle?
- 5:30Speaker 1: If you're walking down the aisle, if you're at the
- 5:32Speaker 1: end of the aisle. I love that Boo's mad at
- 5:33Speaker 1: an old lady. Was she small?
- 5:36Speaker 4: Was she like my size? Because we can barely see
- 5:38Speaker 4: over the cart when it's filling up.
- 5:39Speaker 2: No, she was tall.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:40Speaker 1: She looked like she used to be in the WNBA.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Wow.
- 5:43Speaker 1: She was kind of tall.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Huh.
- 5:45Speaker 1: So she definitely should have had it. I'm not kidding you.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I'd pay $ 1, 000 right now to get the surveillance of
- 5:51Speaker 1: what really happened. Oh, God.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Me too.
- 5:53Speaker 1: She hit my basket.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Send me the location.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Give me the location.
- 5:56Speaker 6: I'll call the manager, and I'm going to pay him
- 5:58Speaker 6: $ 1, 000 to get the real story. And the video's going
- 6:01Speaker 6: to show Pooh tripping this old lady.
- 6:03Speaker 1: 102.9.
- 6:04Speaker 4: The new Mix 102.9. Coming up next, do it all
- 6:09Speaker 4: day on the 10s.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Let's get it.
- 6:12Speaker 5: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 6:14Speaker 5: Kid in the morning.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 6:17Speaker 1: All right, Candace Lopez, you want your surprise first?
- 6:20Speaker 4: Yeah, what is it?
- 6:21Speaker 1: All right, you were just saying that your phone was
- 6:23Speaker 1: auto-correcting your name, Candace, to what?
- 6:25Speaker 4: Candy corn.
- 6:26Speaker 6: Well, you know what's funny is I went there yesterday
- 6:28Speaker 6: and I'm like, I got Candace a little, the ultimate.
- 6:31Speaker 4: What is it?
- 6:32Speaker 1: Grandma candy.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Oh.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Right here.
- 6:35Speaker 4: What is that?
- 6:36Speaker 1: It's the autumn mix. Ew. By Brock's. What flavors? And
- 6:41Speaker 1: it's got candy corn. It's got those little pumpkins.
- 6:44Speaker 4: I was going to say, don't say those green and
- 6:46Speaker 4: the orange pumpkins.
- 6:47Speaker 1: No, those are such garbage. There you go. Congratulations.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 6:51Speaker 1: You got a fresh bag of grandma.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I told you I'm being haunted by candy corn.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yep, and that's where it is, right there. Those pumpkins.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Why do they make these? You've been talking about candy
- 7:01Speaker 1: corn all week.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Do we need a payday, though? I got to get
- 7:04Speaker 4: a payday. It's the only way to eat candy corn.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I forgot the paydays. You're hot. Either way, I just
- 7:08Speaker 1: wanted you to have some grandma candy, some candy corn
- 7:11Speaker 1: in your life.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Saying I'm a grandma?
- 7:12Speaker 1: No, I'm saying, yeah, maybe.
- 7:15Speaker 4: A granny core candy?
- 7:17Speaker 1: A granny core.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Appreciate that. Guys, more rain today with the heaviest being
- 7:21Speaker 4: to the south and east of the Metroplex. We do
- 7:24Speaker 4: have a flood advisory in place for parts of Dallas, Kauffman,
- 7:27Speaker 4: and Rockwall counties. That's in place until 7 a.m. They're
- 7:31Speaker 4: saying this is not like heavy rain again today. We
- 7:34Speaker 4: have a 50% chance tomorrow than less on Sunday, but
- 7:37Speaker 4: look at the highest today and tomorrow in the 70s.
- 7:40Speaker 4: That's so nice.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Yes.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I love that.
- 7:43Speaker 4: I feel like, fingers crossed, we're done with the 90s
- 7:46Speaker 4: at this point.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I never say never. It's Texas. We might get a
- 7:49Speaker 1: 90 degree day in December.
- 7:51Speaker 4: No, you're not wrong. But this feels good right now.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it does.
- 7:54Speaker 4: So enjoy the rain.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I'm loving it. I went out for a walk yesterday
- 7:56Speaker 1: or a jog. Good. Or more like a walk.
- 8:00Speaker 4: A run walk.
- 8:00Speaker 1: A run walk.
- 8:01Speaker 4: A race walk.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Guys, okay, this is a moment for y'all to think
- 8:06Speaker 4: about what you would do in this situation. A man
- 8:09Speaker 4: found $ 128, 000 in cash sitting outside of a Bank of
- 8:14Speaker 4: America ATM in Louisville and helped return every single dollar.
- 8:19Speaker 8: Wow.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Can you believe this?
- 8:21Speaker 1: What is wrong with him? I saw this story because
- 8:25Speaker 1: it's kind of close to my house.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Is it?
- 8:27Speaker 1: And it's all over the national news now. So he
- 8:29Speaker 1: just found it.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Just found it. So he didn't want to, you know,
- 8:32Speaker 4: have his identity known. But based on, you know, there
- 8:35Speaker 4: was a bag. So based on the items in the bag,
- 8:38Speaker 4: I guess at first he thought the money belonged to
- 8:40Speaker 4: a Chick-fil-A that was near the ATM. So he took
- 8:43Speaker 4: it there first. Didn't find who it belonged to. So
- 8:46Speaker 4: he called 911 so the police could come secure this money.
- 8:49Speaker 1: He did the right thing. He did. He did the
- 8:52Speaker 1: absolute right thing. You know why he wants to remain anonymous? Why?
- 8:56Speaker 7: So nobody can't see how stupid he was returning that money.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Listen, in a world where there's cameras everywhere you are,
- 9:06Speaker 1: there's cameras on that ATM. Oh, I'm sure. There's cameras everywhere.
- 9:11Speaker 6: If you could turn this, it's not a blessing because
- 9:13Speaker 6: that money, they're going to know every single cent that
- 9:16Speaker 6: was there.
- 9:16Speaker 1: And if you take any of it, now you're a criminal.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like felony worthy.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Is it worth all that? Is it worth going to jail?
- 9:23Speaker 1: That camera didn't count that money. Somebody had to count
- 9:26Speaker 1: that money. No, but here's what's messed up. As you
- 9:27Speaker 1: finish the story, this is where I got enraged.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Well, yeah. You know, they determined that the money belonged
- 9:32Speaker 4: to a local bank, and these workers, I guess, were
- 9:35Speaker 4: servicing the ATM and accidentally left it behind. But I
- 9:37Speaker 4: know the part that's enraging you is that he didn't
- 9:40Speaker 4: get a reward for this.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Come on.
- 9:42Speaker 1: See?
- 9:42Speaker 4: Bank of America expressed their gratitude.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Thank you for being a good citizen. No, that that
- 9:49Speaker 1: is ridiculous.
- 9:50Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 9:50Speaker 6: If you find one hundred twenty eight thousand dollars and
- 9:53Speaker 6: you make it very easy to get your money back.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Right.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I know it's not a lot of money to them,
- 9:59Speaker 1: but that's life. money. You give this guy at least
- 10:02Speaker 1: a 20% reward.
- 10:04Speaker 4: For sure. You're a bank. You know what I mean?
- 10:06Speaker 1: This is nothing to you.
- 10:07Speaker 4: You'll figure it out.
- 10:08Speaker 1: And guess what? First of all, you look like an
- 10:11Speaker 1: idiot that you left $ 128, 000 buying an ATM. Right.
- 10:14Speaker 4: You service the ATM.
- 10:15Speaker 6: So flip this story into a good story and Bank
- 10:18Speaker 6: of America go, you know what? We're going to pay
- 10:20Speaker 6: this guy's mortgage off or something ridiculously cool.
- 10:24Speaker 8: Totally.
- 10:24Speaker 1: So you look like a hero and they forget how
- 10:26Speaker 1: dumb you are. Right.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Here's an investment account with so-and-so, whatever.
- 10:30Speaker 1: We've set this up for your child. Yeah. On us
- 10:33Speaker 1: and put 20 grand in it.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree. I mean, whatever. Yeah, whatever. So hopefully
- 10:39Speaker 4: something happens. But at this point, that's all we know
- 10:41Speaker 4: that he's gotten out of this.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Give me some candy corn. I'm mad.
- 10:44Speaker 8: I know.
- 10:44Speaker 4: I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Welcome to your Friday.
- 10:49Speaker 6: We got to get you these Hilary Duff tickets on
- 10:51Speaker 6: Mix 102.9. Plus, chances go to Disneyland all day on
- 10:54Speaker 6: the 10s. So make sure you listen and have that
- 10:56Speaker 6: iHeartRadio app ready and ready to roll. It's Bailey the Kid,
- 10:59Speaker 6: Candace Lopez, Producer Poo, Hillary Duff, Tickets Right Now.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Who's this?
- 11:02Speaker 3: Molly.
- 11:03Speaker 1: What's up, Molly? How are you? Good.
- 11:04Speaker 8: How are you?
- 11:05Speaker 1: I love the name Molly.
- 11:07Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 11:07Speaker 2: My grandma picked it.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Oh, good. I don't think I've ever met a mean Molly. No.
- 11:11Speaker 1: You know? Maybe you're the first one. Maybe you're vicious.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what's
- 11:16Speaker 1: going on over there.
- 11:16Speaker 8: I try not to be.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Well, good, because Molly, you're caller number one. Congratulations.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Yay.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yay.
- 11:23Speaker 6: You got tickets to go see Hilary Duff, which she
- 11:25Speaker 6: puts on such a good show.
- 11:26Speaker 1: It'll be fun. So congrats.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Where are you from?
- 11:29Speaker 8: I'm so excited. I live in Mesquite.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Oh, cool. What do you got going on this morning?
- 11:34Speaker 8: I am waiting outside of work, ready to go in.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Oh, you're going in, not leaving?
- 11:42Speaker 8: Unfortunately not.
- 11:44Speaker 1: You're walking inside. I'm trying to figure out where you work.
- 11:46Speaker 1: If I had to guess, I'm thinking that you work
- 11:48Speaker 1: at a school. No, kind of close. A prison. Oh.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Doggy dick hair. Oh. Okay, what breed acts the worst?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Be honest.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Carriers.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Really?
- 12:02Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:04Speaker 4: The little ones?
- 12:05Speaker 1: Yeah. It's always the small dogs.
- 12:07Speaker 8: They have a little Napoleon complex.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yep. It's always the small dogs. It's like the small
- 12:11Speaker 1: dude at the bar, first one to get in a fight.
- 12:13Speaker 8: Right.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Got something to prove. Well, hey, Molly, thank you so
- 12:16Speaker 6: much for listening. Have a great day at work, and
- 12:18Speaker 6: we're going to hook you up with these tickets. You
- 12:20Speaker 6: stay right there.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Okay. All right. Shall we do some real or fake news? Yes.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Right about now. Let me get you hooked up with
- 12:25Speaker 1: three stories.
- 12:26Speaker 6: One of them is fake. You've got to tell me
- 12:28Speaker 6: which one is the fake story. Pooh has been on
- 12:30Speaker 6: a roll. He's won all week except one day I won.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
- 12:34Speaker 1: So, yeah, I mean, Candace.
- 12:36Speaker 4: What an off week.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you're really off.
- 12:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I think it's all the candy corn you're eating.
- 12:40Speaker 4: I think so, too. Yeah, sugar goes to the brain.
- 12:42Speaker 1: It's turning your brain into just wax. Yeah.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Wow.
- 12:45Speaker 1: All right, are you ready? First headline.
- 12:48Speaker 6: Restaurant evacuated after customer's emotional support parrot attacks two customers.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Ha, ha, ha.
- 12:55Speaker 6: Restaurant evacuated after customer's emotional support parrot attacks two other customers.
- 13:01Speaker 1: All right, headline number two. Scientists say you can technically
- 13:05Speaker 1: cook a raw chicken by slapping it 23,034 times. Scientists
- 13:12Speaker 1: say you can technically cook a raw chicken by slapping
- 13:14Speaker 1: it 23,034 times.
- 13:14Speaker 4: That is headline number two.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Headline number three. 21-year-old woman wanted for pulling weapon on
- 13:25Speaker 6: a store employee who wouldn't let her toddler play with toys.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Oh.
- 13:29Speaker 6: 21-year-old woman wanted for pulling a weapon on a store
- 13:32Speaker 6: employee who wouldn't let her toddler play with toys.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Three stories right there. One of them is made up.
- 13:38Speaker 6: One of them I just completely made it up, and
- 13:40Speaker 6: you've got to figure out which one is fake.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Candace Lopez, you can go first and try to get
- 13:44Speaker 1: your streak back and win.
- 13:47Speaker 6: Or you could pass it to LaPoopoo and see if
- 13:49Speaker 6: he's going to pick wrong.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I don't know. Usually you let him pick first if
- 13:52Speaker 1: you want him to win. Yeah. Because you feel bad
- 13:54Speaker 1: for Pooh sometimes.
- 13:55Speaker 4: That's true.
- 13:56Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 13:56Speaker 4: I just feel like picking first, there is an advantage.
- 13:58Speaker 1: There is.
- 13:59Speaker 4: You know, it's not fair for me to go first
- 14:00Speaker 4: every day. I think I've gone first enough this week,
- 14:03Speaker 4: so I'm going to pass it to LaPoopoo.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Okay. Okay. Candice.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Tough one today.
- 14:07Speaker 1: What's your name, Pooh? Yeah, I'm Pooh.
- 14:09Speaker 8: Clarence.
- 14:10Speaker 6: You know whatever your name is what do you think
- 14:13Speaker 6: which one is the fake story let's go with.
- 14:14Speaker 7: That second story slapping a chicken 23 000 4 000
- 14:17Speaker 7: whatever okay.
- 14:19Speaker 1: You don't think that's possible.
- 14:20Speaker 7: No i'm a chicken master no you're a chicken master
- 14:24Speaker 7: i know my chicken okay you can't do that lock
- 14:27Speaker 7: me in bro what a.
- 14:28Speaker 6: Weird flex let's lock that in You are locked in.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Now, Candice Lopez, let's get back to you.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Which one do you think is the fake story?
- 14:36Speaker 4: I have no idea. So lock me in for the
- 14:37Speaker 4: parrot story.
- 14:38Speaker 1: The parrot story.
- 14:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:40Speaker 1: People are getting wild with their emotional support animals.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Yeah, we had the alligator. What else did we have?
- 14:45Speaker 1: We had a turtle, emotional support turtle.
- 14:47Speaker 4: That's right. Lock it in for the emotional support parrot.
- 14:49Speaker 1: It is locked in.
- 14:50Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 14:51Speaker 1: And the winner today is Candice Lopez. Candice Lopez. Candy corn.
- 15:04Speaker 1: She's back. She is back and she is on the
- 15:08Speaker 1: winner's side. Finally.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Okay.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Congratulations. Candace Lopez. Yes.
- 15:12Speaker 6: That story I made up. I mean, maybe it happened somewhere,
- 15:14Speaker 6: but I don't know about it. Emotional support, parrot attacking people, whatever.
- 15:17Speaker 8: Okay.
- 15:18Speaker 1: The real stories. Very interesting. Let's start with this story
- 15:21Speaker 1: that I got to thank. Not him. Thank you. Not him.
- 15:24Speaker 6: That's the name on Instagram. Not Himothy sent me this story,
- 15:28Speaker 6: and I was like, oh, he's.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Like, real or fake news. And I was like, you
- 15:30Speaker 1: know what? You're right.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Good call, dude.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you. You could technically cook a raw chicken
- 15:35Speaker 1: by slapping.
- 15:36Speaker 6: It 23,034 times.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Wow.
- 15:41Speaker 6: So every slap, this is what scientists say, every slap
- 15:44Speaker 6: transfers kinetic energy into the chicken, which some of that
- 15:47Speaker 6: energy turns into heat. The problem is that a normal
- 15:50Speaker 6: slap adds an incredibly tiny amount of heat, while the
- 15:52Speaker 6: chicken is constantly losing heat to the surrounding air.
- 15:56Speaker 1: So this YouTuber built a machine to slap it at
- 15:59Speaker 1: a high speed.
- 16:00Speaker 4: No.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yes. So, and guess what? That energy was converted enough
- 16:05Speaker 1: to cook it.
- 16:06Speaker 4: What?
- 16:07Speaker 1: What? So the physics work. There you go.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 16:10Speaker 6: So, well, guess what we're doing on the show at
- 16:12Speaker 6: 8 o'clock? Who will be slapping a chicken?
- 16:15Speaker 1: No. 23,034 times. The fastest he can. I mean, that's
- 16:21Speaker 1: pretty amazing, though. Yeah, that's wild. Weird. I've never really
- 16:25Speaker 1: slapped a chicken before.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Oh, well. Don't plan to.
- 16:29Speaker 6: Yeah, thank you, NotHemothy, for that story. We do got
- 16:31Speaker 6: to try that. Let's just start at the beginning of
- 16:33Speaker 6: the show. We'll have Pooh slap the chicken.
- 16:35Speaker 4: We'll take turns.
- 16:36Speaker 1: But he's got to do it fast.
- 16:37Speaker 4: You go 1,000, I'll go 1,000. You go 1,000, we'll
- 16:38Speaker 4: just go around the room. I'm not doing it.
- 16:41Speaker 1: No. I don't want the chicken. No. All right. Well,
- 16:44Speaker 1: who are you in? No. Okay. Next story.
- 16:49Speaker 6: This story, 21-year-old woman wanted for pulling a weapon on
- 16:52Speaker 6: a store employee who wouldn't let her toddler play with toys.
- 16:55Speaker 6: This was a disagreement over a toy at a secondhand
- 16:58Speaker 6: children's store in Indianapolis, reportedly escalated into a frightening confrontation.
- 17:02Speaker 6: Police say 21-year-old... Tanya Statton has been charged, not Tanya, Tanya.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Tanya.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Tom, T-A-M. Okay. Tanya.
- 17:13Speaker 6: She's been charged after allegedly pulling a handgun and threatening
- 17:16Speaker 6: an employee at Once Upon a Child store.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 17:19Speaker 1: You can't do that.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Such a nice store.
- 17:24Speaker 2: It really is.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Either way, she pulled the weapon.
- 17:29Speaker 6: She allegedly displayed the handgun, threatened workers, and at one
- 17:31Speaker 6: point pointed the weapon in their direction before leaving with
- 17:34Speaker 6: her child. Surveillance video reportedly captured the incident and she
- 17:37Speaker 6: was identified and her license plate also was on the
- 17:41Speaker 6: surveillance video. So now she is wanted and faces felony
- 17:44Speaker 6: charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon for pointing a
- 17:48Speaker 6: firearm and a warrant's been issued. So they're looking for her,
- 17:50Speaker 6: but basically she was like, hey, I know these are toys.
- 17:53Speaker 1: They're on display. Let my kid play with them while
- 17:55Speaker 1: I check out.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:57Speaker 1: And they would not let her. They said, no, put
- 17:59Speaker 1: the toys down. She's like, they're used anyway.
- 18:01Speaker 6: What's going to happen to them? Said, no, your kid
- 18:04Speaker 6: can't play with them. Well, she didn't like that. So
- 18:07Speaker 6: you know what happens.
- 18:08Speaker 1: You got to get gangster. That's what you got to do. So.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I know.
- 18:12Speaker 6: What a crazy world. Have you ever been in a
- 18:14Speaker 6: fight that bad with... I mean, obviously, you've never pulled
- 18:17Speaker 6: a weapon on someone.
- 18:17Speaker 1: No. I would hope not.
- 18:19Speaker 6: No.
- 18:19Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Candice is from a ski. Yeah, she don't play. She'll
- 18:22Speaker 1: pull a shank.
- 18:23Speaker 4: I don't play, but I don't play like that.
- 18:26Speaker 6: You ever get in a fight with a store employee
- 18:27Speaker 6: that bad to where it's been like a confrontation?
- 18:30Speaker 1: No.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Me?
- 18:31Speaker 1: I don't think I have either. No.
- 18:32Speaker 5: No.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I haven't either.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Well.
- 18:34Speaker 1: At the drive-thru in Popeye's. Yeah, I did. I got
- 18:37Speaker 1: into it. Oh, I did get it. I got into it.
- 18:39Speaker 4: Did you throw a bucket of chicken back?
- 18:40Speaker 1: Did you? No, no. I was mad because he didn't
- 18:42Speaker 1: give me my biscuit.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Naturally.
- 18:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Well, naturally you're upset.
- 18:48Speaker 7: Yeah, because he made me wait. And he's like, hold on.
- 18:51Speaker 7: Biscuit's going to be like three minutes. So I was like, okay, cool.
- 18:53Speaker 1: What did you do?
- 18:54Speaker 7: Then he gave me my food. And I was like, oh, man,
- 18:56Speaker 7: this fool didn't give me my biscuit. So I went
- 18:58Speaker 7: back around, came through the thing.
- 18:59Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, what's up? I go, he didn't give
- 19:01Speaker 1: me my biscuit. He goes, yes, I did. And I
- 19:02Speaker 1: was like.
- 19:03Speaker 7: Bro, you didn't give me my biscuit. He's like, I
- 19:05Speaker 7: put it in the bag. No, you didn't, and we
- 19:07Speaker 7: just got into it.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Well, I'll tell you this much. You're lucky you didn't
- 19:10Speaker 1: get stabbed.
- 19:11Speaker 4: I know.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Popeyes don't play. Popeyes don't play. Big bag. All right.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Big bag. Knicks 102.9. Good morning.
- 19:20Speaker 6: It's Bailey the Kid, Candace Lopez, producer Pooh. We have
- 19:22Speaker 6: more trips to Disneyland if you want to go. We'll
- 19:25Speaker 6: do it on the 10s all day, so make sure
- 19:26Speaker 6: you listen. Have that iHeartRadio app ready to roll. We'll
- 19:29Speaker 6: do it at 710. Again, somebody DM me and they're like,
- 19:32Speaker 6: every time you talk to Candace, she's eating.
- 19:34Speaker 4: And I'm like, I'm not.
- 19:35Speaker 1: And I go, no, it's not that she's eating a lot.
- 19:39Speaker 1: She just takes three hours to eat anything.
- 19:42Speaker 4: This banana and peanut butter won't take me long to eat.
- 19:44Speaker 4: But now I have to work. So I had to
- 19:46Speaker 4: stop eating.
- 19:47Speaker 1: What are you eating?
- 19:47Speaker 4: A banana and peanut butter.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Okay.
- 19:49Speaker 6: Somebody told me, and I saw this online, I need
- 19:51Speaker 6: to try it. Somebody said if you take a slice
- 19:53Speaker 6: of banana and you put a little dab of butter
- 19:56Speaker 6: on it, it tastes exactly like a pancake.
- 19:58Speaker 4: What?
- 19:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 20:00Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 20:00Speaker 4: It's my favorite food.
- 20:01Speaker 1: So I thought of that. Yeah, I know.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Well.
- 20:03Speaker 4: I'm trying that.
- 20:04Speaker 1: You enjoy your banana.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I'll see you in an hour.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Oh.
- 20:07Speaker 1: When it's done. It's fine.
- 20:08Speaker 4: I'm taking a break.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You know what today is, though? What? Today is National
- 20:11Speaker 1: Name Your Car Day.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 20:13Speaker 6: Which I've never, I don't think I've ever named any
- 20:16Speaker 6: car I've ever had, but it says over 70% of
- 20:18Speaker 6: people do. And at most, over half of those names,
- 20:23Speaker 6: believe it or not, they all start with B.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Okay. Isn't that weird?
- 20:27Speaker 4: Huh.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You named a car blue? Yeah, the car that my
- 20:31Speaker 1: dad got me. Yeah, that's one of the more popular names. Really? Bertha, Betsy,
- 20:35Speaker 1: and Betty are the three most popular names.
- 20:38Speaker 4: No way.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Well, mine was the Blue Beast. The Blue Beast.
- 20:42Speaker 8: 1992 Ford Tempo.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Dang. What year? Wow. A 92 Ford Tempo.
- 20:53Speaker 7: I had a Honda, a Honda Accord, and I put
- 20:56Speaker 7: a system in it. It was sitting on Dayton's. It
- 20:59Speaker 7: was all fixed up. My dad said, stop putting all
- 21:01Speaker 7: that money in the car because somebody's.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Going to steal it. I was like, ain't nobody going
- 21:04Speaker 1: to rob me or whatever. Yeah, I went to a club. Yep.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Somebody stole it. Oh, they stole it? Yeah. Wait, not
- 21:11Speaker 1: your Tempo.
- 21:12Speaker 5: No, not the Tempo.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Nobody's stealing the Tempo. Teach me a lesson. He's like,
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'm going to help you get a new car. I
- 21:16Speaker 1: was like, thanks, Dad.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 1: He brought home. I forgot about the tempo. By the way,
- 21:24Speaker 1: if you named your car, I want to know about it.
- 21:26Speaker 6: You can hit me up at Billy on the radio
- 21:28Speaker 6: on Instagram at Billy on the radio.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I'll get those in a second. Candace Lopez.
- 21:32Speaker 4: I named my cars. Yeah.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Which car did you name?
- 21:34Speaker 4: Well, in high school, I got to drive my dad's
- 21:36Speaker 4: 72 Chevelle and it was red.
- 21:38Speaker 1: See, that's so cool.
- 21:39Speaker 4: And so I, we called it big red.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Oh yeah. Oh, you know what? If I had a
- 21:43Speaker 1: friend who had a red car, he called it Clifford.
- 21:45Speaker 5: Oh.
- 21:46Speaker 4: But later, I had a little two-door red car, Nissan,
- 21:50Speaker 4: and I named that one Lil' Red.
- 21:51Speaker 8: Oh.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:53Speaker 4: So they're always based on the color.
- 21:54Speaker 1: You've had cool cars. I have had.
- 21:56Speaker 4: I love cars. I love cool cars.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, a 72, like, what was it again?
- 22:00Speaker 4: Chevelle.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Chevelle?
- 22:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:02Speaker 4: It was red with the black top and black stripes.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I mean, that's amazing.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:06Speaker 1: As a first car to drive around? Yeah. My first
- 22:09Speaker 1: car was, well, I did name it, actually. I called
- 22:11Speaker 1: it the Burgundy Bomber.
- 22:12Speaker 7: Okay.
- 22:13Speaker 8: Okay.
- 22:13Speaker 4: There you go. Yeah, it has to do with their color.
- 22:15Speaker 4: White Lightning, we had a car.
- 22:16Speaker 1: It was a 79 Monte Carlo.
- 22:20Speaker 6: And the whole thing was my grandpa was so mad
- 22:22Speaker 6: because I think I've told you this, but I bought
- 22:24Speaker 6: the rims before I bought the car.
- 22:25Speaker 1: That's right. So I had to buy the car, a
- 22:30Speaker 1: car that would fit the rims.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Perfect.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Like an idiot. He was so mad, so mad at me. Oh,
- 22:36Speaker 1: I got some ones coming in. You ready for... Oh,
- 22:37Speaker 1: this is good. Yeah. Oh, these are good. You want
- 22:40Speaker 1: to know some of the names people are hitting me
- 22:41Speaker 1: up with?
- 22:42Speaker 8: Right.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Melissa and Forney. Okay. She had an orange Ford Escort.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Called Clementine.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Cute.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I like that one. Okay. Let me get to this one.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Andrea and Plano had her grandma's old green Volvo. Oh.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Not Meemaw's Volvo. Oh.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Safe car.
- 23:04Speaker 1: They named it Kermit. Oh, that's sweet. All right. Steven.
- 23:09Speaker 1: What's up, Steven? He had a Chevy Malibu as one
- 23:12Speaker 1: of his cars back in the day. Okay. And he
- 23:15Speaker 1: called it, he named it Turtle because it was so slow.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Yay.
- 23:19Speaker 1: All right. Oh, Ashley. Hi to Ashley. She said, I
- 23:25Speaker 1: had a big old brown F-150 that we called Big Turd.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 23:32Speaker 1: And if you got one, 833-787-1029, you can call me too. 833-787-1029. Oh,
- 23:37Speaker 1: Tanya in Mesquite. Oh, give me this. Tanya in Mesquite says, well,
- 23:43Speaker 1: I got a forerunner when my uncle went to prison. Oh,
- 23:48Speaker 1: I was like, well, I was going to say, what
- 23:49Speaker 1: do you go to prison for? And I think you
- 23:51Speaker 1: figure it out after once they named it.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Okay.
- 23:53Speaker 1: When he went to prison, I got his forerunner and
- 23:55Speaker 1: we called it the meth mobile.
- 24:01Speaker 4: The new Mix 102.9.
- 24:05Speaker 5: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Kid in the Morning. Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 24:11Speaker 6: Get that iHeartRadio app ready, so make sure you have
- 24:14Speaker 6: it open. We're about to give away this trip, your
- 24:15Speaker 6: chance to win.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Disneyland on us. Make it happen. We'll do it next.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Candace Lopez, what's going on?
- 24:21Speaker 4: Well, we got more scattered rain this morning. A lot
- 24:23Speaker 4: less coverage than yesterday morning, but that's all we got today.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Scattered showers. We are under a flood warning until tonight.
- 24:29Speaker 4: We'll have a high of 78, so get ready for that.
- 24:31Speaker 4: It's going to feel good, yeah, for Friday Night Lights tonight.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Hopefully the games go on. You want to talk about
- 24:36Speaker 4: some high school football?
- 24:37Speaker 1: You know I do.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Let's go. So make some picks. Games tonight, Colleyville Heritage,
- 24:42Speaker 4: Panthers versus the Colony Cougars.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Oh, see, I don't know much about These teams.
- 24:47Speaker 4: Panthers and Cougars.
- 24:48Speaker 6: So if I had to go just mascot versus mascot,
- 24:50Speaker 6: what I usually do, like what kind of Cougar? Are
- 24:52Speaker 6: we talking about a Shops of Legacy West Cougar?
- 24:55Speaker 4: No, the Colony Cougar.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I don't know. See, Colony's not known for Cougars, I guess.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Okay. Isn't a Cougar like a smaller cat versus a Panther?
- 25:02Speaker 1: No, it's an older woman, Candace. It's an older woman
- 25:05Speaker 1: who prowls on young men.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Sorry, I'm being literal.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Yeah, I guess that's cool, too. I'm going
- 25:11Speaker 1: to go and say Panthers. Okay.
- 25:13Speaker 4: That was going to be my guess.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Okay, so Colleyville Heritage. Pick the winner out of this.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Trinity Trojans versus South Grand Prairie Warriors.
- 25:21Speaker 1: A Trojan beats a Warrior.
- 25:23Speaker 4: You think so?
- 25:23Speaker 1: I'm going to go.
- 25:24Speaker 4: We met so many people from South GP last Friday.
- 25:26Speaker 1: I love South GP. I love them. They were so
- 25:30Speaker 1: nice in the Corny Dog. You know what? Fine.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Okay.
- 25:32Speaker 1: And I'm mad because the one team that I think
- 25:34Speaker 1: my son's team lost to this year is Trinity.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 25:37Speaker 1: New List Trinity. So, yeah, you're right. You know what?
- 25:40Speaker 1: South GP.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Okay, let's go.
- 25:43Speaker 4: One more I'll give you. Argyle Eagles versus Eagle Mountain Knights.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Ooh. Ooh. I'm going to say the Eagle because you
- 25:52Speaker 1: wouldn't be a night.
- 25:53Speaker 6: You wouldn't be an Eagle night if there was no Eagle. Oh,
- 25:55Speaker 6: so the Eagle is really controlling the night.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Okay. We will find out what tonight. Also guys, don't
- 26:03Speaker 4: forget the Cowboys head to Houston to take on the
- 26:06Speaker 4: Texans this weekend. Kickoff is Sunday at noon. We're one
- 26:09Speaker 4: and two there. Oh, and three flip a coin.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I guess one and two.
- 26:13Speaker 6: I looked to see because I'm a psycho and I
- 26:15Speaker 6: love the Cowboys, but I'm so mad at them right now.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:18Speaker 6: Has there ever been a one and two team to
- 26:20Speaker 6: win the Super Bowl? It's happened five times.
- 26:24Speaker 8: Okay.
- 26:24Speaker 1: And the good news is it happened with us in 93. So, yes,
- 26:28Speaker 1: it's our year. Let's go.
- 26:30Speaker 4: I'll take it. I'll take it.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Research.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I like that.
- 26:33Speaker 4: That's good. Guys, seven up is recalling cases of their
- 26:36Speaker 4: zero sugar tropical soda because they're actually full of sugar.
- 26:40Speaker 4: This was some kind of mix up. These cans actually
- 26:45Speaker 4: have 38 grams of sugar.
- 26:46Speaker 1: 38 grams?
- 26:47Speaker 4: Per can. Yeah, so these are the 12-ounce cans in
- 26:51Speaker 4: 12-pack cases. It's unclear how they found this mistake, but
- 26:54Speaker 4: first it was Trader Joe's. Remember, they had the zero
- 26:56Speaker 4: sugar candy. It was full of sugar.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Now it's the 7-Up.
- 26:59Speaker 1: 38 grams? What's on an average can of soda? I
- 27:02Speaker 1: don't even know.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Yeah, something like that.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 27:06Speaker 4: Something similar to that, I would think, in the 20s
- 27:07Speaker 4: at least.
- 27:08Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I think in the 20s either way.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Never drink a regular soda.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. I haven't drank a regular soda in
- 27:12Speaker 1: a long time. Yeah. I'm trying to stop even diet sodas.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Yeah, same. Real quick, guys. Warner Brothers Television is trying
- 27:19Speaker 4: to shut down a former Bachelor host, Chris Harrison, in
- 27:22Speaker 4: a new copycat dating show. So if you remember, he
- 27:25Speaker 4: left The Bachelor five years ago. But this new show
- 27:28Speaker 4: is called The Vow. I guess they put out a
- 27:30Speaker 4: teaser for it, and there's all these roses, and the
- 27:32Speaker 4: theme is very rosy. Well, in the cease and desist letter,
- 27:36Speaker 4: they say roses are one of the central and instantly
- 27:39Speaker 4: recognizable symbols of The Bachelor. It says an image that
- 27:42Speaker 4: came out for the show is a direct copy of
- 27:45Speaker 4: The Bachelor. But Fox Nation, who is producing the show,
- 27:48Speaker 4: says there's numerous movies and TV shows that have used,
- 27:50Speaker 4: you know, falling rose petals in their videos. Uh, and promotions,
- 27:54Speaker 4: you know, all the time. It's a symbol of love.
- 27:57Speaker 4: It is, but you're going to do a dating show
- 27:59Speaker 4: and use like the Rose is the bachelor.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Come on.
- 28:01Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 28:02Speaker 1: It's like Chris Harrison do his thing.
- 28:04Speaker 4: Really?
- 28:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Why not? I mean, I don't know the guy, but
- 28:07Speaker 1: let him live. Let him, let him cook.
- 28:09Speaker 4: He lived a.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Little too much. What do you mean? Did he?
- 28:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so.
- 28:12Speaker 1: I met him before. He was a nice guy.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, he's, I'm sure he's a nice guy.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Well, I know somebody who dated him. Who did she
- 28:18Speaker 1: was like engaged to him? You do? Yeah, our friend Selma. Yeah,
- 28:22Speaker 1: she was.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Really?
- 28:23Speaker 1: She was, like, dating him for a while. Or maybe
- 28:25Speaker 1: that's not public knowledge. I thought it was.
- 28:27Speaker 7: Oh.
- 28:27Speaker 1: If it is now.
- 28:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. He had some controversy on that show. Oh,
- 28:33Speaker 4: he did?
- 28:34Speaker 1: Yeah. Because he used to date all the contestants.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Well, probably that, too.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Why I need to get on? I need to host
- 28:39Speaker 1: the best.
- 28:40Speaker 4: He could have hosted it and been the bachelor on
- 28:43Speaker 4: the show.
- 28:43Speaker 1: He was giving out roses behind the scenes.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, a little too much. Anyways, I'm Candace Lopez.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 28:51Speaker 3: Get it off your chest.
- 28:52Speaker 5: It's Dirty Little Secret with Billy the Kid in the
- 28:54Speaker 5: Morning on Mix 102.9. Brought to you by Nymph Dentistry.
- 28:58Speaker 6: Yeah, this Friday, let's get it. Dirty Little Secret is on.
- 29:01Speaker 6: It's Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez. Producer Pooh is here.
- 29:04Speaker 6: I will say be safe because I mean, it's raining
- 29:06Speaker 6: in some spots, but yesterday was extra slick.
- 29:09Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
- 29:10Speaker 1: So many accidents I saw on the way home.
- 29:12Speaker 4: It's always moving, all right.
- 29:14Speaker 2: It's always moving. Yeah.
- 29:15Speaker 6: It's always moving right now, but it's still a little bit. Well, no,
- 29:18Speaker 6: I guess 730 is all right. Maybe people are working
- 29:21Speaker 6: from home because of the rain.
- 29:22Speaker 4: I guess so.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Well, either way, be safe. That's all I know.
- 29:24Speaker 6: Rain's supposed to stick around today a little bit off
- 29:26Speaker 6: and on, and then kind of go away and just cool. Yeah.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Oh, perfect weather. 78, this is football weather.
- 29:31Speaker 4: Yes, let's go.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Today. All right, if you've got a secret, 833-787-1029. You
- 29:34Speaker 1: can also hit me up online if you want to.
- 29:39Speaker 6: Add billy on the radio on instagram now you have
- 29:42Speaker 6: a confession i.
- 29:43Speaker 8: Have a confession that completely like sounds totally insane when
- 29:47Speaker 8: i say it out loud um i secretly hate my
- 29:51Speaker 8: best friend.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Hate Did you say hate? Yeah. Secretly hate. Just that sentence.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I secretly hate my best friend.
- 29:58Speaker 4: How are they your best friend if you hate them?
- 30:01Speaker 1: Yeah. What's going on? What's the backstory here?
- 30:03Speaker 8: Yeah. Like the crazy part. We've been friends since we
- 30:06Speaker 8: were kids. You know, we grew up together. We've been
- 30:09Speaker 8: through everything like relationships, family drama, breakups, everything. You know,
- 30:13Speaker 8: for years I thought that this girl would be in
- 30:15Speaker 8: my life forever.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 30:18Speaker 8: And then I called off my wedding. Um, so my
- 30:22Speaker 8: fiance and I had a really ugly breakup and yeah,
- 30:26Speaker 8: during one of our arguments afterwards, he decided to throw
- 30:29Speaker 8: something in my face, which, uh, he, he showed me
- 30:33Speaker 8: screenshots of my best friend basically, you know, shooting a
- 30:39Speaker 8: shot with him.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Oh, this is after you broke up. He's like, Oh, here,
- 30:44Speaker 1: check this out.
- 30:45Speaker 8: What?
- 30:47Speaker 1: Oh no. Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 8: And I think, Oh, I mean, nothing actually happened between them,
- 30:53Speaker 8: but the messages, like she was flirting, testing the waters,
- 30:57Speaker 8: you know, just saying things that you absolutely do not
- 31:00Speaker 8: say to your best friend's fiance.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Wow.
- 31:02Speaker 8: You know?
- 31:03Speaker 1: Right. So you're like, this is gross. Immediately, I'm like,
- 31:06Speaker 1: you're not my friend anymore. Right.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:08Speaker 8: And of course, my ex was being a complete loser
- 31:11Speaker 8: about it. Like, he's like, oh, I could have hooked
- 31:12Speaker 8: up with your best friend if I wanted to, but
- 31:14Speaker 8: I didn't. Like, okay, congrats, but you're a loser anyway. Right.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Did you ever confront her about this? Nope.
- 31:22Speaker 8: Nope, I never did.
- 31:24Speaker 4: Why?
- 31:25Speaker 6: Why not?
- 31:25Speaker 1: Why wouldn't you do that?
- 31:26Speaker 8: Well, okay, maybe I should have, but... at that point,
- 31:30Speaker 8: like my life was falling apart, you know, anyway, and
- 31:34Speaker 8: I just did not have energy for another huge blow up.
- 31:38Speaker 8: You know what I mean? Like it was too much. And,
- 31:41Speaker 8: but I never looked at her the same way again.
- 31:43Speaker 8: You know, I, I don't trust her.
- 31:45Speaker 1: No.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Um, do you still talk to her?
- 31:49Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 8: We, we still call each other best friends. We still talk.
- 31:52Speaker 8: We still hang out occasionally.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Wow.
- 31:54Speaker 8: But like I said, I don't trust her. I don't
- 31:56Speaker 8: respect her. And if I'm being totally truthful, I, I
- 32:00Speaker 8: don't even really like her anymore.
- 32:01Speaker 1: So why not just cut it off and be like,
- 32:03Speaker 1: you're an awful person. I never want to see you again.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Right.
- 32:06Speaker 8: Well, this is where I'm probably going to sound terrible.
- 32:10Speaker 8: She works pretty high up for a certain airline.
- 32:12Speaker 5: Okay.
- 32:13Speaker 8: And because of her job and the benefits she gets,
- 32:15Speaker 8: I basically, I fly for free.
- 32:18Speaker 7: Oh.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Wow.
- 32:24Speaker 8: Like, I'm taking trips that would normally cost me thousands
- 32:27Speaker 8: of dollars. Like, I can decide I want to go somewhere,
- 32:30Speaker 8: and I'm on a flight. So, like, you know what?
- 32:34Speaker 8: I lost a lot, you guys. I lost a lot here.
- 32:36Speaker 4: For sure.
- 32:38Speaker 8: So, somewhere along the way, I realized, you know, I
- 32:39Speaker 8: might not want to be your best friend anymore, but
- 32:41Speaker 8: I definitely do not want to lose those flight benefits.
- 32:45Speaker 8: And I know that makes me sound horrible.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I mean, flights are expensive.
- 32:48Speaker 2: They are.
- 32:49Speaker 6: I kind of, like, I don't want to advocate this
- 32:52Speaker 6: behavior in using somebody, but she did you wrong.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 32:54Speaker 1: So it's not like she's not getting what she deserved.
- 32:57Speaker 8: Like, in my head, you know, she tried to get
- 32:59Speaker 8: with the man I was supposed to marry.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 33:02Speaker 8: Like, she just doesn't know that I know.
- 33:04Speaker 7: I can be mad at you, but let me be
- 33:06Speaker 7: mad at 30,000 feet.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:07Speaker 4: It's easier to be mad at you when we're in Paris.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Or in Tulum.
- 33:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Let me be mad on this flight real quick.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Right.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, wow.
- 33:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 33:17Speaker 1: I did not expect that. So there you go. I
- 33:20Speaker 1: can't stand you, but let me go to the Bahamas
- 33:22Speaker 1: and clear my head.
- 33:23Speaker 6: It would be hard to hang out and swallow it.
- 33:27Speaker 6: That kind of thing is a, is a friendship breaking
- 33:29Speaker 6: deal breaker. I mean, for real, but have you ever
- 33:33Speaker 6: stayed friends with someone because of a benefit? When you
- 33:36Speaker 6: shouldn't have, like, obviously in this case, it's the flights.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Yeah. No.
- 33:39Speaker 6: I don't think I have, but it's.
- 33:42Speaker 1: A non-judgment zone. Yeah, I'm not judging. So how long
- 33:45Speaker 1: are you thinking you could do this? Is it just
- 33:46Speaker 1: going to be a forever thing? I know, right?
- 33:49Speaker 4: So she loses her job.
- 33:50Speaker 1: So you're just going to keep doing it, you think?
- 33:52Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, until those flight benefits disappear. I don't
- 33:56Speaker 8: see our friendship ending anytime soon. Like I said, we
- 33:58Speaker 8: just don't see each other that often. We're both busy,
- 34:02Speaker 8: you know, just like everybody. We're busy.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:05Speaker 8: But, you know, sorry, I catch flights, not feelings, man.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Wow.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Wow.
- 34:14Speaker 1: You do. That is for sure. Well, catch those flights. And, hey,
- 34:19Speaker 1: at least you're getting something out of it. You're right.
- 34:21Speaker 1: When you're going through a lot, sometimes you don't want to.
- 34:23Speaker 6: Deal with anything else. So you do you at this point. Well,
- 34:26Speaker 6: good luck with everything. And I appreciate your confession. That's
- 34:30Speaker 6: a good one.
- 34:31Speaker 8: Thanks, guys.
- 34:32Speaker 1: All right.
- 34:32Speaker 6: It's almost like what's worse, though. Somebody does you wrong,
- 34:35Speaker 6: and you cut them off, and you say you hate them.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Right. And it's like, yeah, okay. Or you use them,
- 34:38Speaker 1: and that's almost your revenge.
- 34:40Speaker 4: Right.
- 34:41Speaker 8: Totally, it is.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Your petty revenge. So, all right. There you go. Dirty
- 34:45Speaker 1: little secret. Never fails to surprise me.
- 34:47Speaker 4: The new Mix 102.9.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Official law firm sponsor of the Texas Rangers.
- 34:52Speaker 4: Visit thetexasattorney.com.
- 34:55Speaker 6: I don't know why that button went off. Welcome to
- 34:57Speaker 6: Candace Court. All rise for the Honorable Judge Candace Lopez.
- 35:01Speaker 6: Mix 102.9. It's this time of the day. Sometimes the
- 35:03Speaker 6: computer just wigs out.
- 35:04Speaker 4: I know.
- 35:05Speaker 1: The computer just goes crazy. Yeah, it's okay. It froze
- 35:08Speaker 1: for a minute. Either way, this is a very serious court.
- 35:12Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. The most serious.
- 35:14Speaker 1: When you talk about the legal system.
- 35:15Speaker 4: I put my peanut butter away. Hang on.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. There's the Supreme Court. Well, in my ranking,
- 35:21Speaker 1: it's Judge Judy. Of course, she's the epitome of court
- 35:27Speaker 1: in our justice system. Then it goes to Supreme Court. Meh.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Number two. Yeah, whatever. Meh. I might put Candace Court
- 35:33Speaker 1: over that.
- 35:34Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely you should.
- 35:35Speaker 6: At this point. Okay, Candace, are you ready for today's issue? Now,
- 35:38Speaker 6: at Candace on Air, if you've got a problem, feel free.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 35:41Speaker 6: I need Candace Court to settle something between me and
- 35:44Speaker 6: one of my closest friends because now we're barely speaking
- 35:47Speaker 6: over my birthday dinner. Every year for my birthday, I
- 35:50Speaker 6: pick a nice restaurant, and this year I picked somewhere
- 35:53Speaker 6: a little more expensive. Nothing completely insane, but realistically.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Everyone is probably spending about $ 100 to $ 150 once you
- 35:59Speaker 1: add up drinks, tip, all that.
- 36:01Speaker 6: One of my best friends told me she wasn't coming
- 36:03Speaker 6: because she can't justify spending that much money on dinner
- 36:06Speaker 6: right now. And honestly, it hurt my feelings bad. This
- 36:10Speaker 6: isn't some random dinner we do every weekend. It's my birthday,
- 36:13Speaker 6: all caps. We've been friends for years, and I feel
- 36:16Speaker 6: like once a year you can make an exception and
- 36:18Speaker 6: celebrate your friend. She basically told me, I love you,
- 36:21Speaker 6: but your birthday doesn't determine my budget. That really rubbed
- 36:25Speaker 6: me the wrong way. I told her if money was tight,
- 36:29Speaker 6: she could plan ahead or just order something cheaper. It's
- 36:32Speaker 6: not that big of a deal.
- 36:33Speaker 1: But completely skipping my birthday dinner makes me feel like
- 36:36Speaker 1: I'm not important to her. Now she thinks I'm the
- 36:39Speaker 1: one being entitled and I'm a crappy friend. But I
- 36:42Speaker 1: think she's the crappy friend. So who's wrong here?
- 36:44Speaker 6: Is it unreasonable to expect my closest friend to splurge
- 36:48Speaker 6: one night a year for my birthday? It's not like
- 36:51Speaker 6: I ask for presents or anything. I tell them to
- 36:53Speaker 6: just come and just have a good time. I give
- 36:56Speaker 6: them plenty of heads up every year, and it's the
- 36:58Speaker 6: best time ever.
- 36:59Speaker 4: Okay. All right.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Well, Candace, Candace Court, your initial thoughts on this case? Yeah.
- 37:04Speaker 4: How much is a little more expensive? You're saying $ 100
- 37:07Speaker 4: to $ 150? I mean, were you doing a $ 50 dinner
- 37:10Speaker 4: before that?
- 37:11Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Because if so, you know, it's great if your friends
- 37:14Speaker 4: can splurge, but you can't expect it. The cost to
- 37:17Speaker 4: eat out is going up every month. Groceries, gas prices, insane.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Everything is more expensive. Yeah.
- 37:23Speaker 4: So you're going to make your dinner more expensive, too?
- 37:25Speaker 1: Well, let's say, I mean, when you go out to eat,
- 37:27Speaker 1: you're going to at least spend $ 50. Right.
- 37:29Speaker 4: But 150?
- 37:30Speaker 1: Well, it says 100 in fairness. It says 100 to 150.
- 37:34Speaker 1: That's a lot for one person.
- 37:36Speaker 4: We know how these big group dinners go when the
- 37:39Speaker 4: bill comes and then everybody's got to start doing math
- 37:41Speaker 4: and splitting it up. It's never what you really should
- 37:43Speaker 4: be paying. It's way more.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Well, don't you normally also pay for the birthday girl?
- 37:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, I would. The birthday person usually, I
- 37:50Speaker 1: think everybody should tip in and just make sure they
- 37:52Speaker 1: don't pay. It's their birthday.
- 37:53Speaker 4: No, I agree.
- 37:54Speaker 1: So maybe that's what, maybe she's not even expecting that.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I don't know. But I don't think it's completely unreasonable
- 38:00Speaker 1: because she said, hey, it's all good. Order something cheaper.
- 38:03Speaker 1: It's not a big deal.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Yeah, but that doesn't work because I've been to a
- 38:06Speaker 4: birthday dinner before where there's like 20 people. We're all there.
- 38:10Speaker 4: People are ordering food. I'm like, Eric and I are
- 38:12Speaker 4: just going to. split a meal because that's just how
- 38:14Speaker 4: we would do if we're going by ourselves. And then
- 38:17Speaker 4: all of a sudden the checks come, it's $ 200 a person.
- 38:20Speaker 8: Okay.
- 38:20Speaker 1: But that's different.
- 38:21Speaker 4: The only person having a good time was a birthday boy.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:23Speaker 4: And the rest of us were just like, are you
- 38:25Speaker 4: serious right now?
- 38:26Speaker 1: And I know who it was too.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Yeah, you do.
- 38:28Speaker 6: But the whole thing is you don't have to, well,
- 38:30Speaker 6: that's different. Now, if you're just expecting everybody to split
- 38:33Speaker 6: the checks.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Yeah. But it doesn't sound like that because she specifically
- 38:36Speaker 1: said you can order something cheaper.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Plan ahead. She gave her a year in advance notice,
- 38:41Speaker 1: pretty much. A year. Come on, why can't I just
- 38:43Speaker 1: take you out, just us two? I think there's something
- 38:46Speaker 1: else going on. Let's go celebrate us two, and we'll
- 38:49Speaker 1: do something cheaper.
- 38:49Speaker 6: No, but this is her birthday idea. She wants to
- 38:52Speaker 6: go out with all the girls and do kind of
- 38:54Speaker 6: a nice dinner. I get that she wants to do this.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I don't think it's crazy.
- 38:57Speaker 4: I get that, too. But I feel like she's putting
- 38:58Speaker 4: herself first. Like, I get it's your birthday. Even when
- 39:01Speaker 4: it's my birthday, I still think of other people.
- 39:03Speaker 1: You know what I mean? But maybe you shouldn't.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Maybe I shouldn't. You're right. I should start thinking about
- 39:08Speaker 4: myself more and putting myself first.
- 39:10Speaker 6: And listen, there's no hard feelings if you don't want
- 39:12Speaker 6: to go because you genuinely can't afford it. But I
- 39:14Speaker 6: think there's more here. I think she just doesn't want
- 39:17Speaker 6: to go because there's another issue. I think there's something
- 39:19Speaker 6: else going on.
- 39:20Speaker 4: Because I don't know what that is.
- 39:21Speaker 1: I don't either. But I think if you got months, months,
- 39:25Speaker 1: months in advance, you put away five bucks a week
- 39:28Speaker 1: and you could plan for this dinner. You're just not
- 39:30Speaker 1: planning appropriately. Money's tight right now. I know it is.
- 39:33Speaker 1: It's super tight. I'm not saying I would do this.
- 39:35Speaker 7: And then I show up and then maybe I'll order
- 39:38Speaker 7: like an appetizer and then we get to check and
- 39:39Speaker 7: then I'm like.
- 39:41Speaker 1: First of all, we know how you roll.
- 39:44Speaker 4: This friend might understand, but the rest of the group's like, oh, wow,
- 39:47Speaker 4: you only put in $ 25?
- 39:48Speaker 7: Yeah, they're going to be like, there she goes being cheap.
- 39:52Speaker 1: That's you, Pooh. That's you every time we go out. Wait, no,
- 39:56Speaker 1: I try to go for my wallet. I try to
- 40:00Speaker 1: go for my wallet. There is not a time in
- 40:03Speaker 1: 30 years I've known Pooh. Oh, come on. That he's
- 40:06Speaker 1: put in the proper amount of money. Billy, come on.
- 40:08Speaker 1: We call you Poudini for a reason because you disappear
- 40:11Speaker 1: when the check comes.
- 40:12Speaker 8: Right.
- 40:12Speaker 1: But sometimes I do pay. Sometimes. You know. I have
- 40:17Speaker 1: paid before. Okay. When it's been. Oh, Billy, come on. When?
- 40:22Speaker 1: There's been a couple times because you'd be like, come on,
- 40:24Speaker 1: for real? You're going to really pay?
- 40:26Speaker 6: Maybe one out of every 30 times we go out.
- 40:30Speaker 1: And usually that'll be like Chipotle because you have a
- 40:33Speaker 1: gift card.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 40:35Speaker 1: And that's cool. Yeah, Candace did. And I do appreciate that.
- 40:38Speaker 1: And I do appreciate it. Feel free.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Yeah, use the gift card on me. I'm down.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Listen, I'll tell you this much. If you go out
- 40:44Speaker 1: to eat with Pooh, if the menus are sticky, he'll
- 40:48Speaker 1: probably end up paying. He'll pay. If the place has
- 40:51Speaker 1: sticky menus, I might pay. That's his motto.
- 40:56Speaker 4: But everyone has their own idea of, like, what splurge is. Like,
- 40:59Speaker 4: if we go around the room, splurge is going to
- 41:01Speaker 4: be different for all three of us probably.
- 41:03Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 41:04Speaker 4: Like, people aren't going to have a good time if
- 41:05Speaker 4: they're worried about the bill.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Okay. Well, listen, I'm just saying she had plenty of
- 41:10Speaker 1: time to plan.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Maybe I just got burned once and I'm bitter about it.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I know.
- 41:13Speaker 6: And I think there's something else going on in this
- 41:14Speaker 6: friendship that they need to address. I think it's bigger
- 41:16Speaker 6: than this. I think it's bigger than a fancy dinner.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Possibly. Doesn't matter what I think. It's Candace Lopez. It's
- 41:21Speaker 1: your court.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it's your birthday, but you're guilty of being a
- 41:24Speaker 4: Michelin Michelle. Trying to play a Michelin-rated restaurant for your birthday?
- 41:30Speaker 1: That would be more than $ 100.
- 41:31Speaker 4: It would be. But I agree. I don't think y'all
- 41:34Speaker 4: are as good of friends as... As we want you
- 41:37Speaker 4: to be. Okay.
- 41:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 1: See, that's what I'm saying.
- 41:40Speaker 6: There's some other underlying tension here that they need to address,
- 41:43Speaker 6: but it doesn't matter.
- 41:45Speaker 1: She is guilty of being a.
- 41:47Speaker 5: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 41:50Speaker 5: Kid in the Morning.
- 41:51Speaker 4: Only on the new Mix 102.9. Hi, Candace Lopez.
- 41:54Speaker 1: What is going on on a Friday?
- 41:56Speaker 4: Yeah, well, more rain today. Most of it's going to
- 41:58Speaker 4: fall this morning. Some scattered rain, you know, could happen
- 42:00Speaker 4: this evening. And then we have a little more rain
- 42:02Speaker 4: tomorrow morning. But look at the high temperatures in the
- 42:04Speaker 4: 70s today and tomorrow. This is such a good break
- 42:09Speaker 4: for us.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Football weather, PSL, hoodie weather.
- 42:12Speaker 8: Yes.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Pumpkin patch weather.
- 42:13Speaker 4: It is. Yeah, it's all happening.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Yes, girl. Get it.
- 42:19Speaker 4: Guys, this story out of Louisville is pretty crazy. So
- 42:21Speaker 4: this man found $ 128, 000 in cash sitting outside a Bank
- 42:23Speaker 4: of America ATM. actually helped return every single dollar to
- 42:31Speaker 4: its owner uh the man did not want to have
- 42:34Speaker 4: his identity known but uh he says based on the
- 42:36Speaker 4: items in the bag that the money was in at
- 42:39Speaker 4: first he thought the money belonged to a chick-fil-a nearby
- 42:42Speaker 4: and i'm like what would be in the bag that
- 42:44Speaker 4: would make you think maybe it was supposed to be
- 42:46Speaker 4: a chick-fil-a.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Maybe a loose waffle fry Oh, yeah.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Bonus fry.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Yeah, like a bonus fry or something. He was like,
- 42:52Speaker 1: this came from Chick-fil-A.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Polynesian sauce or something?
- 42:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Polynesian sauce.
- 42:56Speaker 1: The crazy part is he takes it back. He takes
- 42:58Speaker 1: it to Chick-fil-A first.
- 42:59Speaker 8: Right.
- 43:00Speaker 4: That's where he thought it came from. So he took
- 43:02Speaker 4: it there. Couldn't find anyone that could claim the $ 128, 000.
- 43:05Speaker 5: Calls 911.
- 43:05Speaker 4: Tells the police, hey, I found this money. You need
- 43:07Speaker 4: to come secure it. It's a lot. Police determined the
- 43:14Speaker 4: money belonged to a local bank and that workers were
- 43:16Speaker 4: servicing the ATM and accidentally left it.
- 43:19Speaker 7: Oh, my.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Well, first of all, somebody lost their job.
- 43:22Speaker 4: They should.
- 43:23Speaker 6: But here's the part that gets me in this. This
- 43:25Speaker 6: is the part that I mean, did he do the
- 43:26Speaker 6: right thing?
- 43:27Speaker 1: Yes.
- 43:27Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Who doesn't think so? No, he didn't.
- 43:30Speaker 6: But he did the right thing because, I mean, there's
- 43:31Speaker 6: cameras everywhere. You could be a good Samaritan. Even if
- 43:34Speaker 6: you don't want to be good, you don't want to
- 43:35Speaker 6: be a criminal.
- 43:36Speaker 4: No, not at all.
- 43:37Speaker 1: You'll get criminal charges if you just take this money.
- 43:39Speaker 1: There's cameras everywhere. They're watching you. But here's what gets
- 43:41Speaker 1: me upset.
- 43:42Speaker 4: Yeah, he didn't even get a reward for turning this
- 43:45Speaker 4: money in.
- 43:46Speaker 3: I know.
- 43:46Speaker 4: Bank of America expressed their gratitude to him. Yeah, but
- 43:51Speaker 4: it would have been like a felony if he hadn't
- 43:52Speaker 4: turned it in.
- 43:53Speaker 6: No, and no doubt he should have, and he did
- 43:55Speaker 6: the right thing. But if you're Bank of America, come on,
- 43:57Speaker 6: break me off a couple bucks. For real. $ 128, 000 I find,
- 44:01Speaker 6: and this is all over the news nationally now.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Right.
- 44:04Speaker 1: And now you're going to be known as the bank
- 44:05Speaker 1: that didn't give any money?
- 44:07Speaker 4: Right, and just left all that money sitting outside the ATM.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Oh, appreciate it, big dog. Thanks. That's exactly.
- 44:13Speaker 4: What?
- 44:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 44:15Speaker 4: Just go back in the vault, grab whatever it is,
- 44:17Speaker 4: and hand it to him.
- 44:18Speaker 6: You could turn this story in from, like, you looking
- 44:20Speaker 6: ridiculous because one of your employees left $ 128, 000 into, wow,
- 44:24Speaker 6: how cool, Bank of America.
- 44:25Speaker 1: They're setting up a scholarship for his kids.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Or they put $ 50, 000 away for his family.
- 44:30Speaker 4: There's good people in the world.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Yeah, there's still good people in the world. Do good,
- 44:33Speaker 1: Bank of America. Ding, ding, ding.
- 44:35Speaker 6: You know?
- 44:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 44:36Speaker 4: If that doesn't happen, I mean, yeah, they're missing out.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Appreciate you, bro. Yeah.
- 44:42Speaker 8: Got you.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Here's a Starbucks gift card. Here's a free checking account.
- 44:45Speaker 4: Here's a pizza party.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Free pizza party. Yeah, that's what they do at corporate.
- 44:50Speaker 1: This is what they do at big businesses here. Like,
- 44:51Speaker 1: we do something good. They're like, hey, we got you
- 44:53Speaker 1: guys some pizza in the break room. Great.
- 44:55Speaker 4: I can't eat it.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Cool.
- 44:56Speaker 8: Thanks.
- 44:57Speaker 1: I'm lactose intolerant. Oh, my gosh.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Real quick, guys. This new audio book recording of Dracula
- 45:03Speaker 4: came out yesterday for Audible. And I guess Jonathan Bailey
- 45:06Speaker 4: reads the character Dracula. It's going viral. People are saying
- 45:09Speaker 4: they can't listen to this in public because they're getting
- 45:12Speaker 4: hot and bothered. Even Snooki chiming in saying, wow, I
- 45:15Speaker 4: need to turn my volume down. I look like a creep.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Listen. Okay.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Let me hear this. Pause for me.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Has your Lucy in it? Okay, you know what? I've
- 45:27Speaker 1: heard enough.
- 45:27Speaker 4: That's a lot.
- 45:29Speaker 1: What is going on with this guy? Is this Dracula?
- 45:31Speaker 4: That's his version of Dracula.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Drink.
- 45:36Speaker 1: It is you. What?
- 45:40Speaker 2: You are not to wriggle away. Drink from me.
- 45:47Speaker 4: Okay, all right.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Who put your shirt back on?
- 45:49Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 45:51Speaker 4: People are saying, you know, I guess, you know, I
- 45:53Speaker 4: stumbled across somewhere I shouldn't be on the internet when
- 45:56Speaker 4: I found this.
- 45:57Speaker 1: I feel violated.
- 45:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it's really weird.
- 45:59Speaker 1: That's the most action I've had in a while.
- 46:03Speaker 4: He actually recorded his parts alone, they said, and he
- 46:07Speaker 4: actually did his own sound effects, like the blood drinking
- 46:10Speaker 4: and all that.
- 46:11Speaker 1: You know.
- 46:11Speaker 2: And with this, baptism of my blood in your mouth.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Okay, all right.
- 46:16Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 46:17Speaker 4: All right, I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top
- 46:19Speaker 4: Stories on Mix 102.9. Throat and veins.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Ew! You shall be my servant. Oh, God!
- 46:29Speaker 3: It's Billy the Kid in the Morning's Wheel of Misfortune.
- 46:36Speaker 4: On Mix 102.9.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Wheel of Misfortune!
- 46:41Speaker 6: Welcome to our favorite game show. Well, our least favorite,
- 46:44Speaker 6: your favorite, because you love to watch us get tortured.
- 46:47Speaker 6: We got some trivia questions. Your host, Junior Trebek, is.
- 46:49Speaker 7: In the studio.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Good morning!
- 46:50Speaker 7: Good morning!
- 46:51Speaker 1: Good morning, Junior Trebek.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Got some doozies for you this morning.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Good, because you know what I was hoping for? I
- 46:56Speaker 1: was hoping for some Friday doozies.
- 46:58Speaker 2: Yeah, a couple doozies.
- 46:59Speaker 6: I don't know what a doozy is, but I know
- 47:00Speaker 6: that these are fourth grade, fifth grade level questions that
- 47:03Speaker 6: sometimes stump us.
- 47:04Speaker 2: A couple easies and a couple doozies.
- 47:06Speaker 6: It's kind of embarrassing, but it is what it is.
- 47:08Speaker 6: I don't even remember who lost last time. Oh, yeah,
- 47:11Speaker 6: that's right. Who lost last time?
- 47:12Speaker 2: Yeah, dude.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Because he, well, he had to walk backwards for the
- 47:16Speaker 1: rest of the day. And then he actually didn't walk
- 47:17Speaker 1: backwards all day. Right. So we'll have to figure that
- 47:20Speaker 1: out if we're going to address that situation.
- 47:21Speaker 2: He can barely walk forward sometimes.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he can barely walk. Definitely can't do the corny
- 47:26Speaker 1: dog walk. Ouch.
- 47:28Speaker 7: Ouch.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Well, he bought $ 300 shoes so he'd make it. 4
- 47:32Speaker 1: miles extra.
- 47:33Speaker 4: He made it further than last year.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Yeah, no, he did. 9.1 miles, he did. That's good. Yeah,
- 47:41Speaker 1: I mean, what's that song? If I could walk 9.1 miles. Junior,
- 47:47Speaker 1: we have five questions.
- 47:48Speaker 6: Whoever gets the least amount right will lose the Wheel
- 47:52Speaker 6: of Misfortune, have to spin the wheel and do something ridiculous.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Chime in with your name. You can chime in any
- 47:56Speaker 1: time you want. We're ready when you are.
- 47:58Speaker 9: All right, question number one. Which 2000s pop group had hits,
- 48:03Speaker 9: including This I Promise You?
- 48:06Speaker 2: I heard Billy.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Yep. NSYNC.
- 48:08Speaker 2: That's correct.
- 48:09Speaker 1: Yes. Oh, God. Candice, I beat Candice at an NSYNC question.
- 48:14Speaker 1: All right. Yes.
- 48:15Speaker 2: All right. Question number two.
- 48:16Speaker 1: She's mad.
- 48:18Speaker 9: What type of triangle has one 90-degree angle?
- 48:22Speaker 1: Oh.
- 48:23Speaker 2: It's a doozy.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Oh, Billy.
- 48:25Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Billy. Oh, I don't know if I'm going to get
- 48:27Speaker 1: this right. An obtuse? No.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Candice.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Candice.
- 48:31Speaker 4: Isosceles?
- 48:33Speaker 1: No. That's a tough one.
- 48:35Speaker 2: See, it's a doozy.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Okay, I'm trying to look at it.
- 48:38Speaker 4: What's it called? It's called.
- 48:40Speaker 8: Oh!
- 48:40Speaker 4: Anybody?
- 48:44Speaker 1: 90 degree triangle?
- 48:45Speaker 7: No.
- 48:45Speaker 2: 190 degree angle, yes.
- 48:47Speaker 1: It's a pyramid triangle? I don't know.
- 48:50Speaker 4: No, it's... It starts with an A. Doesn't it start
- 48:52Speaker 4: with an A?
- 48:53Speaker 2: No, it's very easy. It's a right triangle.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Oh, dang.
- 48:56Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 48:57Speaker 1: That was stupid.
- 48:58Speaker 4: That crossed my mind. I was like, no, that's stupid.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Well, I drew it, and I'm like, I know what
- 49:01Speaker 1: this is called. It's just an oblong triangle. Right triangle. Okay,
- 49:06Speaker 1: we suck.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Question number three.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Told you we were dumb.
- 49:12Speaker 2: All right.
- 49:13Speaker 9: What jersey number did Dallas Stars legend Mike Badano.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Billy. Number nine.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Number nine, yes.
- 49:21Speaker 8: Yes.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Fun fact, I went to the same high school as
- 49:24Speaker 1: Mike Medano.
- 49:25Speaker 4: That's right.
- 49:25Speaker 5: I had a fun fact, too.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Oh, you do?
- 49:27Speaker 2: I got to DJ his retirement party.
- 49:29Speaker 1: So I was there, remember?
- 49:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Fun fact, we did that together.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it was great.
- 49:33Speaker 4: Wow, guys.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Fun facts.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Yes, Fun Fact Friday.
- 49:36Speaker 4: So he knew you would know that one.
- 49:38Speaker 2: No.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Oh.
- 49:39Speaker 4: Are you plotting, Junior?
- 49:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Who doesn't know?
- 49:42Speaker 2: Mike Badano's number.
- 49:42Speaker 4: I did know it. I just didn't chime in fast enough.
- 49:45Speaker 1: I mean, you should know that. I know, but you
- 49:47Speaker 1: beat me to the punch.
- 49:48Speaker 2: That's cool you went to the same high school as him.
- 49:50Speaker 1: I didn't know that. Yeah, he's a little bit older
- 49:51Speaker 1: than me, though, and a lot more talented. Lavonia Franklin,
- 49:56Speaker 1: by the way, in case you're wondering, in Michigan, Lavonia Franklin.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 49:59Speaker 9: All right. Question number four. On Saved by the Bell,
- 50:04Speaker 9: what was the last name of the principal?
- 50:06Speaker 1: Bill Proof.
- 50:08Speaker 2: I heard Billy again. You're quick today, man.
- 50:10Speaker 1: I mean, this is an easy one.
- 50:11Speaker 4: It's Beldy.
- 50:11Speaker 2: That's correct.
- 50:12Speaker 1: I had to get that in there. Come on.
- 50:14Speaker 2: I had to get that in there.
- 50:15Speaker 1: We talked about him all week.
- 50:16Speaker 4: Yeah. No, I checked in. You're just like, the B
- 50:19Speaker 4: sound is easier to say than k.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Do you want me to start saying your name? Yeah.
- 50:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 50:24Speaker 1: All right.
- 50:25Speaker 2: So what do we add?
- 50:27Speaker 3: Billy's got three.
- 50:28Speaker 1: I'm going to let you guys fight it out. He's
- 50:29Speaker 1: got three? I got three.
- 50:31Speaker 2: So we have to do an extra question, though, because
- 50:32Speaker 2: there was one that nobody got right.
- 50:33Speaker 7: Right.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Why don't we do one question?
- 50:35Speaker 8: Oh.
- 50:35Speaker 1: Oh, was that five? No, no.
- 50:37Speaker 2: This will be the fifth here.
- 50:38Speaker 1: So this is the final question between you two. Okay.
- 50:40Speaker 2: So whoever gets this.
- 50:41Speaker 4: So you got four, right?
- 50:42Speaker 1: No, we didn't. Oh, we skipped that one.
- 50:44Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Whoever gets this one wins. Oh, Lord. Come on.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Come on.
- 50:47Speaker 1: All right. Between Candace and Pooh. Oh, God.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Here we go. Question number five.
- 50:52Speaker 9: What fruit that is often mistaken as a vegetable and
- 50:55Speaker 9: is technically a berry is commonly used to make jack-o'-lanterns?
- 51:00Speaker 1: Pooh.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Candace.
- 51:01Speaker 4: Pumpkin.
- 51:02Speaker 2: That's correct.
- 51:07Speaker 1: This is just becoming the Wheel of Pooh fortune. No, no.
- 51:11Speaker 1: I knew that. Well, you know them all, but you
- 51:13Speaker 1: never get them. Every time he loses, I had it.
- 51:16Speaker 4: That was close.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I swear to God, I knew it.
- 51:19Speaker 2: It was close.
- 51:20Speaker 5: It was.
- 51:20Speaker 2: It was real close.
- 51:21Speaker 4: But to be fair, I was super close on the rest, so.
- 51:24Speaker 1: Yeah. You know what? Well, Pooh, you got to spin
- 51:28Speaker 1: the wheel.
- 51:29Speaker 6: Which kind of is good because you did break the
- 51:31Speaker 6: punishment last week.
- 51:32Speaker 4: That's true.
- 51:33Speaker 1: So it's almost like debt. It's almost what we would
- 51:35Speaker 1: call karma.
- 51:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 51:37Speaker 3: True story.
- 51:38Speaker 1: I deserve it. All right, here we go. We got
- 51:39Speaker 1: the wheel over here. Now, let me go over some
- 51:41Speaker 1: of the things on the wheel that he might be
- 51:42Speaker 1: able to land on.
- 51:43Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Because there's always new things that are put on. There's
- 51:46Speaker 1: wet sock, which means he would have to walk around
- 51:48Speaker 1: the rest of the day with a wet sock.
- 51:50Speaker 4: That's so weird.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Which is so weird and just gross. There's take shots,
- 51:53Speaker 1: which means he would have to take shots live in
- 51:55Speaker 1: the air for the rest of the show.
- 51:56Speaker 3: Oh, Lord.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Which at this point on a Friday might be, he
- 51:59Speaker 1: might like it.
- 52:00Speaker 4: For sure.
- 52:01Speaker 6: There's Pooh's pick. It could land on Pooh's pick, Billy's pick,
- 52:04Speaker 6: Candace's pick. So we would get to pick the punishment.
- 52:07Speaker 6: There's sing all day. He would have to sing everything
- 52:09Speaker 6: he says for the rest of the day. There's wig out.
- 52:11Speaker 6: He would have to wear a wig. There's face tats.
- 52:13Speaker 6: There's listener's choice. And there's pass the L, which he
- 52:16Speaker 6: could pass his punishment to somebody else.
- 52:18Speaker 4: Right. That's what scares me.
- 52:20Speaker 1: There's human pinata. There is where kids floaties for the
- 52:25Speaker 1: rest of the day.
- 52:25Speaker 4: All right.
- 52:27Speaker 1: That's everything on the wheel. All right. Candice, ready or
- 52:29Speaker 1: poo ready when you are spin that wheel. Do it hard.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Come on now.
- 52:37Speaker 8: Go, go, go.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Pass the ale, pass the ale, pass the ale. Let's see.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Pooh has lost many times in a row. It's slowly
- 52:44Speaker 1: coming to.
- 52:49Speaker 5: A.
- 52:49Speaker 1: It has landed on.
- 52:51Speaker 4: Wow.
- 52:52Speaker 1: It has landed on human pinata. Oh! Let's go. That
- 53:00Speaker 1: means hopefully we have it here. Okay. You know what?
- 53:04Speaker 6: I have to reveal next what exactly human pinata is.
- 53:07Speaker 1: But I will say this. It involves a costume.
- 53:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:12Speaker 1: It involves candy. That's all I'm going to say. So
- 53:17Speaker 1: let's get to it. Well, you know what? Perfect.
- 53:19Speaker 6: We get to go on live next on Instagram live
- 53:22Speaker 6: and then we'll reveal the costume there. And we'll reveal
- 53:25Speaker 6: on the air and everything, all the punishment and things
- 53:27Speaker 6: that he has to do for the rest of the day.
- 53:29Speaker 4: God.
- 53:30Speaker 1: A whole Friday. It's only 8.30 in the morning. Why
- 53:33Speaker 1: did I sound open?
- 53:34Speaker 4: I'm so relieved.
- 53:35Speaker 6: We will do that. Coming up next and get ready
- 53:37Speaker 6: at Mix 1029 FM. We're going to go live in what?
- 53:40Speaker 6: You want to say five minutes?
- 53:41Speaker 4: Yeah, five minutes or so.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Five minutes.
- 53:43Speaker 6: We'll go live at Mix 1029 FM. Human pinata poo
- 53:47Speaker 6: on the way.
- 53:49Speaker 3: It's Billy the Kid in the Morning's Wheel of Misfortune.
- 53:53Speaker 4: Welcome. On Mix 102.9.
- 53:58Speaker 6: Chance to go to Disneyland coming up. We do it
- 53:59Speaker 6: on the 10th, so we'll do it again at 9, 10.
- 54:01Speaker 6: Candice Lopez can't breathe.
- 54:03Speaker 1: My side hurts.
- 54:04Speaker 6: We're live on Instagram right now. Shout out to you.
- 54:07Speaker 6: At Mix1029FM on Instagram. It's Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez,
- 54:12Speaker 6: and producer Pooh.
- 54:13Speaker 1: A little bit different, though. We just did the reveal
- 54:15Speaker 1: on our Instagram Live.
- 54:16Speaker 6: Human piñata Pooh is here, and he is in the studio.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Let me explain what goes down, because
- 54:23Speaker 1: this is special.
- 54:24Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. This is interactive.
- 54:26Speaker 1: It's interactive. It's an interactive punishment. See, I don't even
- 54:29Speaker 1: know if this is a punishment, because Pooh likes it.
- 54:31Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 54:32Speaker 4: Do you like it so far? Oh, yeah.
- 54:34Speaker 6: Okay, so Pooh is in a full-blown, full-blown human piñata costume.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Oh. That is amazing.
- 54:41Speaker 6: Well, I ordered this a long time ago in case
- 54:43Speaker 6: we landed on it on Instagram or on Amazon.
- 54:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 54:46Speaker 1: And I didn't know if it was going to fit.
- 54:49Speaker 4: It fits perfect.
- 54:50Speaker 1: It fits perfect. Look at it. Check this out. I
- 54:54Speaker 1: can't believe it.
- 54:56Speaker 6: Thank you to everybody who's joining right now on Instagram Live. See,
- 54:59Speaker 6: here's what happens. He's in a full-blown costume. And what happens, Candice,
- 55:02Speaker 6: is it comes with a blow-up bat. A plastic bat.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Here we go. So then, and demonstrate for everybody just
- 55:10Speaker 1: getting on. Demonstrate everybody.
- 55:12Speaker 6: What happens is you go up to him, and you
- 55:15Speaker 6: got the blow-up bat, and you smack him like a pinata.
- 55:18Speaker 1: Smack him. Boom. And then look what happens. He throws
- 55:22Speaker 1: you candy. He throws you. And he throws you candy.
- 55:26Speaker 1: This is amazing.
- 55:27Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 55:29Speaker 1: She's getting aggressive. Oh, my God.
- 55:32Speaker 6: Lopez is taking out her aggression as we speak. I
- 55:36Speaker 6: knew Candace was angry, but I didn't know she was
- 55:38Speaker 6: that angry. Oh, she's hitting him in the buttocks.
- 55:41Speaker 8: Okay.
- 55:42Speaker 1: HR is getting involved. The violence is real. I like this. Okay,
- 55:47Speaker 1: so we got people calling. If you want to, you
- 55:49Speaker 1: can also call in if you want to do it.
- 55:52Speaker 6: We're on Instagram Live, but I think we should send
- 55:53Speaker 6: you some places today because.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Otherwise, what's the point?
- 55:56Speaker 4: Yeah, that'd be great.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I mean, of course you're going to walk around the office.
- 55:59Speaker 1: That's a given. But why not just go other places?
- 56:02Speaker 1: Where do you want to go, Pinata Poo? Poo-yata? Might
- 56:04Speaker 1: as well go to the lobby. Yeah, no, I'm thinking
- 56:07Speaker 1: other places, though. Oh, okay. I'm thinking we send you
- 56:10Speaker 1: to maybe the Galleria.
- 56:11Speaker 4: That'd be good.
- 56:12Speaker 8: Starbucks.
- 56:13Speaker 1: We're right across the street from the Galleria.
- 56:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you can go to Dick's when they open.
- 56:17Speaker 1: Go to Dick's.
- 56:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:19Speaker 1: He loves Dick's.
- 56:20Speaker 4: There's bats there you could use.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. No, those bats are a little bit.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Come on, Lo. I'm just kidding.
- 56:27Speaker 1: First of all, can we talk about Candace Lopez is
- 56:29Speaker 1: just mad today. Yeah, that aggression is just. Is everything
- 56:32Speaker 1: okay at home, Candace?
- 56:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I just didn't sleep well. Oh, you didn't?
- 56:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Okay, because let me tell you something. Yeah. She just
- 56:38Speaker 1: beat Pooh.
- 56:39Speaker 3: Yes, she did.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Sorry, Pooh.
- 56:41Speaker 4: The female feminine rage is.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Going around right now. Is that perimenopause rage?
- 56:45Speaker 4: Probably, yeah.
- 56:46Speaker 1: I don't know, but it looked like you enjoyed it.
- 56:48Speaker 1: She laughed while she did it.
- 56:50Speaker 4: It was fun.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Because you didn't even grab the candy.
- 56:52Speaker 4: I know. It's a good point. I didn't.
- 56:56Speaker 1: You were just beating them. She didn't care about the
- 56:58Speaker 1: kidney at all. No, I didn't.
- 57:00Speaker 3: All right.
- 57:00Speaker 6: We're on Instagram live right now. Check us out at
- 57:02Speaker 6: Mix 1029 FM. We'll hang out for a little bit
- 57:05Speaker 6: on there. Maybe we'll send maybe.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Oh, OK.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Yeah, somebody said Walmart. Send him to Walmart. Oh, that's good. Yeah,
- 57:11Speaker 1: we could go to Walmart. Yeah.
- 57:14Speaker 6: We could also send him to, someone said we could
- 57:17Speaker 6: send him to, they want to come to their office.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Maybe we could send him to an Mexican restaurant. Maybe
- 57:23Speaker 1: we send him to our favorite, Mico Sina. Oh, yeah.
- 57:27Speaker 4: Oh, Mico Sina.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Oh, Mambo Taxi on a Friday and then Beepoo.
- 57:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Oh, God. What a way to start your weekend. Yeah.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Or shout out to our boy, Edgar, who runs Miko Sina.
- 57:39Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, he would love to see this.
- 57:40Speaker 1: And Razu's. Yeah, he does. We could send them to both. Yeah.
- 57:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:44Speaker 1: I'm down.
- 57:44Speaker 4: The vibes are right.
- 57:46Speaker 1: The vibes are right.
- 57:46Speaker 3: For sure they're.
- 57:47Speaker 1: Okay, you know what, Poo? Yeah. Let me try real
- 57:49Speaker 1: quick before we go off the air. Okay.
- 57:52Speaker 6: At Mix 1029 FM, we're going to hang out with
- 57:53Speaker 6: you a little bit on Instagram. Trip to Disneyland is
- 57:55Speaker 6: coming up next.
- 57:56Speaker 8: Here, come here.
- 57:56Speaker 1: I want to try. Oh. Okay. I want to see
- 57:58Speaker 1: if I hit you in a certain spot if it
- 57:59Speaker 1: gives me more candy.
- 58:00Speaker 7: Okay.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Oh. Oh. Oh.
- 58:03Speaker 8: Oh.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Oh. I think I broke the pinata.
- 58:07Speaker 5: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 58:11Speaker 5: Kid in the Morning.
- 58:13Speaker 4: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 58:15Speaker 1: Get the iHeartRadio app ready. Shots go to Disneyland.
- 58:18Speaker 6: Coming up next, we do it on the 10s all day.
- 58:20Speaker 1: A trip on us. Airfare. We'll pay for it. We'll
- 58:22Speaker 1: pay for your hotel.
- 58:23Speaker 4: So nice.
- 58:24Speaker 6: I mean, it's so nice because this will be a
- 58:25Speaker 6: holiday trip to Disneyland, so make it happen. Candice Lopez,
- 58:29Speaker 6: all I know is I can't focus with this human
- 58:30Speaker 6: piñata next to me.
- 58:31Speaker 4: I'm so distracted, so bear with me. This is the
- 58:34Speaker 4: best punishment ever, I think. I'm enjoying this.
- 58:36Speaker 6: Oh, we're on Instagram Live still, by the way, at Mix1029FM,
- 58:40Speaker 6: at Mix1029FM. And we just walked around the office, and
- 58:43Speaker 6: we had people hit the human piñata poo because he
- 58:46Speaker 6: lost the wheel of misfortune. to spit out some candy
- 58:49Speaker 6: and zan our boss just literally beat him yeah she
- 58:52Speaker 6: went off she was mad.
- 58:53Speaker 1: The rage behind that woman.
- 58:55Speaker 6: The rage was and then she blamed it on perimenopause
- 58:57Speaker 6: or something.
- 58:58Speaker 4: It's fair yeah yeah it's fair.
- 58:59Speaker 7: I'm not arguing with it i'm not even like wow
- 59:02Speaker 7: whatever you say all right canis lopez what is going
- 59:05Speaker 7: on in our world well it.
- 59:06Speaker 4: Is definitely raining here in far north dallas this morning
- 59:08Speaker 4: more scattered rain a lot less coverage than yesterday morning.
- 59:12Speaker 4: But that's what we're just going to have today. Some
- 59:13Speaker 4: scattered showers. We are under that flood warning until tonight.
- 59:17Speaker 4: The height today, though, 78. Pretty much the same tomorrow.
- 59:21Speaker 4: Some rain in the morning and then high in the 70s.
- 59:23Speaker 1: I love this weather. Am I weird for that?
- 59:25Speaker 4: No, not at all. This is a great change.
- 59:27Speaker 1: I am going to miss it, though. I will miss
- 59:29Speaker 1: the heat.
- 59:29Speaker 6: I keep playing about the heat, but then if it's
- 59:31Speaker 6: gone for too long, I'm like, wait, I don't want
- 59:33Speaker 6: all this all the time.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Right, for sure.
- 59:35Speaker 4: We'll be good. Next week looks beautiful. Okay.
- 59:37Speaker 1: No, next week does?
- 59:38Speaker 4: Yeah, next week, highs in the 80s and sun. Okay.
- 59:41Speaker 4: Let's talk about some high school football games scheduled for tonight.
- 59:44Speaker 4: You want to pick the winner of this game right here?
- 59:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm so good at this.
- 59:47Speaker 4: Argyle Eagles versus Eagle Mountain Knights.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Okay. So I take the mascots.
- 59:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:52Speaker 6: So if it was an Argyle Eagle versus an Eagle Knight,
- 59:55Speaker 6: because I don't know anything about these schools and how
- 59:56Speaker 6: good they are.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm picking the Eagle. Okay. Because the eagle, you
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: can't be an eagle knight without an eagle.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: That makes sense.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: You're going to fight each other, so it's a knight
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: versus an eagle. I think the eagle will swoop down
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: and get the eyes of the knight. Okay.
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: Remind me who you would take in this one. Colleyville
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: Heritage Panthers versus the Colony Cougars. Ooh, what kind of cougar?
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: I know there's a lot of debate about what kind
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: of cougar.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: There's cougars in the Instagram Live right now. Oh. Oh, yeah?
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: Well, they're fierce.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Legacy West Cougars?
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: They'll get you. I'm going to go ahead and say...
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Let's go with Panthers.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: Okay, Colleyville Heritage. And then who are you taking between
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: Trinity Trojans and South Grand Prairie Warriors?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Listen, I like SGP because a lot of SGP people
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: showed up in the Corny Dog Walk. Shout out to you.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: It was their homecoming last week.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: It was their homecoming. I'm going to go with the Warrior. Listen,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I just... Trinity ULIS, that's the only team that my
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: son's team lost to this year.
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: So I'm mad at them anyway.
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: Fair enough. Who are you taking between the Cowboys and
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: the Texans Sunday?
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Well, it's our year.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: I know. I'm just kidding. Trick question. We're playing at noon, guys.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Heads up.
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: We're the noon game Sunday. Yeah, that's perfect.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I guess. We're 1-2, but then I looked it up,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: and in 93, when we won the Super Bowl in 93,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: we started off 1-2. Okay. So I'm just saying.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: You're right.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: It's our year. I'm picking the boys versus the Texans.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Of course. They're 0-3.
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: Of course.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: They suck. Yes.
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: Guys, 7Up is recalling cases of their zero sugar tropical soda.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: This is because they're actually full of sugar. There's some
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: kind of mix up. These cans actually have 38 grams
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: of sugar per can. I guess these were the 12
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: ounce cans in the 12 pack cases. It's unclear how
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: they found out that this mistake had happened. But watch
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: yourself if you're sensitive to sugar.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Well, who looked it up? A regular can of Coke
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: has like 39 grams. What did you say? 39 grams
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: of sugar.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: So it's on point with actual, you know, full-on soda.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I'm so sugared up right now.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: You are.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: I haven't been eating candy.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: How many Tootsie Rolls have you had?
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: What?
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: How many Tootsie Rolls have you had?
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Not that many, Candace. Okay. How many? Like, probably ten.
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: Whoa!
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: It's Friday. Leave me alone.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: It's Friday. Yeah. Real quick, guys. Warner Brothers Television is
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: trying to shut down a former Bachelor host, Chris Harrison,
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: and his new copycat dating show. If you remember, he
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: actually left ABC's The Bachelor five years ago. But this
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: new show is called The Vow. I guess they released
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: a teaser for it, and it was kind of highlighting roses.
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: So in the cease and desist letter, they say roses
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: are one of the central and instantly recognizable symbols of
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: The Bachelor. It says an image that came out for
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: the show is a direct copy of The Bachelor. Now,
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: Fox Nation, who is producing the show, says there's numerous
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: movies and shows that have used falling rose petals in
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: promotional videos. So, you know, that was kind of their reply.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: You can't keep something you borrowed, too.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just some I mean, a rose is a
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: symbol of love. You can't copyright that.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: It is, but The Bachelor's been on for so long.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: The Rose is, like, central to that show.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I haven't watched it in years. I don't think I
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: ever really watched it. I think one time I watched
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: it because someone watched it that I was with or something.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: I used to have everybody over on Monday nights to
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: watch it back in the day.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: You did? You were a Bachelor girl?
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: We hosted the watching party, like, every week.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: I just can't. Every time I look over, I'm like,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: what am I looking at?
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: You can't take him seriously.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: I'm like, where do I work? Every time I look over,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I'm like, where do I work again? It's ridiculous.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: All right. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Oh, that was so much fun on Instagram Live. Thank
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: you if you popped on. We had to get off.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I don't know what was going on. We lost sound.
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: Yeah, weird.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it was weird. But human piñata poo is still here,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: and he's going to be like this all day. So
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: catch him in the screech, right? Yes. I mean, I'm
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: kind of scared for you. I don't know if you
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: have enough candy for this. Dirty Little Secret, you ready?
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: It's Dirty Little Secret with Billy the Kid in the
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: morning on Mix 102.9. Brought to you by Mint Dentistry.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: That's right.
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: It's Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez. Piñata poo is here.
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: And yes, your confessions, your secrets, anytime you want. At 833-787-1029.
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: Doesn't matter what kind of secret it is. Just bring
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: it on. You got one.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: I have a confession that completely, like, sounds totally insane
- 1:03:59Speaker 8: when I say it out loud.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: I secretly hate my best friend.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Hate? Did you say hate? Yeah. Secretly hate. Just that sentence.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: I secretly hate my best friend.
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: How are they your best friend if you hate them?
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: What's going on? What's the backstory here?
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: Yeah. Like the crazy part. We've been friends since we
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: were kids. You know, we grew up together. We've been
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: through everything like relationships, family drama, breakups, everything, you know,
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: for years. I thought that this girl would be in
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: my life forever.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:04:30Speaker 8: And then I called off my wedding. Um, so my
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: fiance and I had a really ugly breakup and yeah,
- 1:04:38Speaker 8: during one of our arguments afterwards, he decided to throw
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: something in my face, which, uh, he, he showed me
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: screenshots of my best friend basically, you know, shooting her
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: shot with him.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Oh, this is after you broke up. He's like, Oh, here,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: check this out.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: What?
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Oh no.
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: Yeah. And I think, Oh, I mean, nothing actually happened
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: between them, but the messages, like she was flirting, testing
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: the waters, you know, just saying things that you absolutely
- 1:05:12Speaker 8: do not say to your best friend's fiance.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: You know? Right.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: So you're like, this is gross. Immediately, I'm like, you're
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: not my friend anymore. Right.
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: Yeah. And of course, my ex was being a complete
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: loser about it. Like, he's like, oh, I could have
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: hooked up with your best friend if I wanted to,
- 1:05:26Speaker 8: but I didn't. Like, okay, congrats, but you're a loser anyway. Yeah.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Did you ever confront her about this? Nope.
- 1:05:34Speaker 8: Nope, I never did.
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: Why?
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Why wouldn't you do that?
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: Well, okay, maybe I should have, but... at that point,
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: like my life was falling apart, you know, anyway, and
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: I just did not have energy for another huge blow up.
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: You know what I mean? Like it was too much. And,
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: but I never looked at her the same way again.
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: You know, I, I don't trust her.
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: No.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: Um, do you still talk to her?
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: We, we still call each other best friends. We still talk.
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: We still hang out occasionally.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: But like I said, I don't trust her. I don't
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: respect her. And if I'm being totally truthful, I, I
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: don't even really like her anymore.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: So why not just cut it off and be like,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: you're an awful person. I never want to see you again. Right.
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: Well, this is where I'm probably going to sound terrible.
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: She works pretty high up for a certain airline.
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: And because of her job and the benefits she gets,
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: I basically, I fly for free.
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:06:36Speaker 8: I'm taking trips that would normally cost me thousands of dollars.
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: I can decide I want to go somewhere and I'm
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: on a flight. So it's worth it. I lost a lot,
- 1:06:47Speaker 8: you guys. I lost a lot here.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: For sure.
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: Somewhere along the way, I realized I might not want
- 1:06:52Speaker 8: to be your best friend anymore, but I definitely do
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: not want to lose those flight benefits. And I know
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: that makes me sound horrible.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I mean, flights are expensive.
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: They are.
- 1:07:01Speaker 6: I kind of like, I don't want to advocate this
- 1:07:04Speaker 6: behavior and using somebody, but she did you wrong.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: So it's not like she's not getting what she deserved.
- 1:07:09Speaker 8: Like in my head, you know, she tried to get
- 1:07:11Speaker 8: with the man I was supposed to marry. Yeah, that's true.
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: She just doesn't know that I know.
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: I can be mad at you, but let me be
- 1:07:18Speaker 7: mad at 30,000 feet. It's easier to be mad at
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: you when.
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: We're in Paris.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Or in Tulum.
- 1:07:24Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Let me be mad on this flight real quick.
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:07:28Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Oh, wow. Yeah. I did not expect that. So there
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: you go. I can't stand you, but let me go
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: to the Bahamas and clear my head. It would be
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: hard to hang out and swallow it. That kind of
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: thing is a, is a friendship breaking deal breaker.
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: I mean, for real, but.
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: Have you ever stayed friends with someone because of a benefit?
- 1:07:47Speaker 6: When you shouldn't have, like, obviously in this case, it's
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: the flights.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: No.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: I don't think I have, but it's a non-judgment zone. Yeah,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: I'm not judging. So how long are you thinking you
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: could do this? Is it just going to be a
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: forever thing? I know, right?
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: So she loses her job.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: So you're just going to keep doing it, you think?
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, until those flight benefits disappear. I don't
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: see our friendship ending anytime soon. Like I said, we
- 1:08:10Speaker 8: just don't see each other that often. We're both busy,
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: you know, just like everybody. We're busy.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:17Speaker 8: But, you know, sorry. I catch flights, not feelings, man.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Oh, man. It's Mix 102.9. Bailey to Keith. Candace Lopez.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Producer Poo. I'm out of here.
- 1:08:28Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: I'll see you later. I just got super depressed.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: Why?
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Because I saw what this OnlyFans girl makes online. On Instagram.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: That'll do it. Oh, yeah.
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: I was just like, they were posting an article about
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: how much they make and they were going to tax
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: them or whatever.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: And she makes $ 10 million a year. A year? A year.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: $ 10 million a year. And she's not even close to
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: the highest paid.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Whatever. Either way. Have a great weekend. As you work
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: your nine to five and you're doing so well for yourself.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: Working hard.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: You're sitting there grinding. You're a teacher. You're doing. the
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: stuff that's incredible. Nah, just post pictures of your feet. Oh, geez. Oh, man.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Make it happen, Candace.
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: No, add to society.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: No. Well, that is adding. Feet pics? Come on. I'm
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: thinking about doing it. Maybe I should show the glizzy. No.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: What the? The tattoo. Oh.
- 1:09:17Speaker 8: No.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: God, no. Hold on.
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: Pause.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Somehow. By the way, save that clip that you just said.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: You're talking about your tattoo, your hot dog tattoo. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I thought you meant something else. No, no, no. I
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: was like, what is going on? Your mouth drop, Candace's
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: mouth drop.
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: No, it's on the booty.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Save that, too. Candace, what do you got going on
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: this weekend?
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: Baseball and enjoying this rain.
- 1:09:45Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Is it going to rain all weekend, though?
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: No, I don't think so. I think there's just a
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: chance tomorrow morning.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Okay, good.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Well, it's good football weather tonight. Poo, what are you doing?
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: He's got the pinata outfit on, so he's going to
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: be a pinata for the rest of the day. So
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: if you see him in the streets, make sure you
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: hit him. Oh, man.
- 1:09:59Speaker 7: I was supposed to help my cousin. My cousin bought
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: a new property outside of McKinney. My cousin Dre, did
- 1:10:04Speaker 7: y'all know?
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Oh, really? Yeah.
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: And I was supposed to help him because he bought
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: two new zero degree riding lawnmowers.
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: Zero turn?
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Yeah, zero turn. First of all, Dre, you know better.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: You know better. I had Pooh help you. I know.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Last time I had Pooh help me paint, there was
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: paint everywhere. Wrong color. And he was out by the
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: pool just hanging out when I was like, hey, are
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: we done? He's like, no, I'm taking a break. How
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: are you going to take a break before you start?
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: And you ordered me Domino's pizza, too. Well, because I
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: thought you were working hard.
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: This guy's working so hard. No, not at all. So
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: have a great weekend. I will say this. I have
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: a big announcement. Almost a dirty little secret on Monday. Okay.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: You do? So we're going to do it at 730. Yeah. Oh, yes. Big.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: Something I've been working on.
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Candace kind of knows what's going on.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: I have an idea.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: I'm excited.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: It involves poo. Oh, man. What y'all do now? This
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: might not be a bad thing for you, though, for once.
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: No, it won't be.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: You don't think so?
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: I don't think it'll be a bad thing.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Why are you laughing, Candace? Why is Candace laughing? I
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: don't know. You'll have to find out. 7.30, we're going
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: to do it Monday.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Huge.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: 7.30.
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: Huge.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: What? Huge announcement. What are y'all doing?
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: Huge poo.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Are you trying to set me up with somebody?
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: No.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: No.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: No, you wish. Okay. But we should do that. Something
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: else we should do.
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: Kind of.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Well, either. Yeah, we are kind of setting you up
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: with something, someone.
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: So Monday. Don't give it away.
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: 730.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I'm saying no more.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: We'll see you then. Have a great weekend. Go Cowboys. Bye. Bye. Bye.
