  Speaker 1: do it year long, but this time of year there

  Speaker 1: are just so many people going through it and it

  Speaker 1: really tugs on a lot of people's heart strings.

  Speaker 2: Oh for sure. In December of twenty nineteen, you guys

  Speaker 2: gave my mom a Christmas wisch and so I just
• 0:40
  Speaker 2: want to give back to organization that really helped our
• 0:43
  Speaker 2: family a lot.

  Speaker 1: Oh. I know, I love that that is something that

  Speaker 1: you remember. What was your mom's name, that's Peters, and

  Speaker 1: what exactly was she going through at that time. Just
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: to remind some people who are listening right now, So.

  Speaker 2: My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in twenty ten,
• 1:00
  Speaker 2: and then in twenty nineteen she got diagnosed with a
• 1:04
  Speaker 2: cancer called angiosarcoma, which is a very rare cancer, like
• 1:09
  Speaker 2: one in a million people get it. She had gotten
• 1:12
  Speaker 2: it from doing radiations from breast cancer. Prior we actually
• 1:19
  Speaker 2: she spent a lot of time in Rochester and going
• 1:23
  Speaker 2: like doctoring back and forth between Fargo and Rochester, and
• 1:26
  Speaker 2: you guys gave her a Christmas wish to help with
• 1:29
  Speaker 2: all of those expenses. And she actually passed away last year.
• 1:33
  Speaker 2: So we started an organization called Betty's Giving Tree to
• 1:38
  Speaker 2: help kids that are less fortunate, foster kids, kids bowing
• 1:42
  Speaker 2: diseases in like throughout the holiday season, so that her
• 1:47
  Speaker 2: legacy can continue. Our mom did foster care for twenty
• 1:50
  Speaker 2: plus years, she did daycare for over forty years. She
• 1:53
  Speaker 2: adopted four of us, and this year we decided that
• 1:57
  Speaker 2: we would be giving not only will we like help
• 1:59
  Speaker 2: kids around holidays, so also give back to different organizations.

  Speaker 2: So I chose you guys.

  Speaker 1: My gosh, Toy, this is just bringing so much joy

  Speaker 1: to me because you're living your mom's legacy. You're, you know,

  Speaker 1: giving back to people that you know she would want

  Speaker 2: Yes, that's what's all it's all about.

  Speaker 1: Well, Tory, we appreciate that so much, and you know

  Speaker 1: wish money. We are going to give it back to
